0:34
SPEAKER_00: So welcome aboard, and I'm honored to share the opening round result and reviews with the share of each game.
0:44
SPEAKER_00: All 18 teams.
0:46
SPEAKER_00: Are you at Cyber 40 is back for 2026?
0:50
SPEAKER_00: All teams are playing round one.
0:52
SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be honoured to be.
0:54
SPEAKER_00: It just feels really awesome.
0:56
SPEAKER_00: And well done to all the teams.
0:58
SPEAKER_00: D play, well, actually, all teams play in their preseason games.
1:03
SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter to win or lose.
1:04
SPEAKER_00: It's just see how how it feels so good to be on your community oval and just play some AFL football.
1:12
SPEAKER_00: It it's great.
1:13
SPEAKER_00: Get to know the new rules, and we'll share that later in the season about my thoughts about the new ruck rule.
1:19
SPEAKER_00: And making the last possession, I think.
1:22
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'll share that another time on another episode.
1:26
SPEAKER_00: But now, if it's enough, let's drive into it.
1:29
SPEAKER_00: So round opening round here we are.
1:34
SPEAKER_00: The reviews! And my thoughts of these games just start off, just right.
1:40
SPEAKER_00: We are back, and Sydney Swans have some great talent.
1:44
SPEAKER_00: The formal Carlton Ford, Charlie Cruz.
1:47
SPEAKER_00: Wow, my goodness, a fella that it's changed his, you know, his performance against a team that, you know, he might have, you know, he may not feel comfortable, but now he feels confident.
2:00
SPEAKER_00: He's playing his football at a football club that has more maturities.
2:04
SPEAKER_00: With Carlton, good efforts, you know, they they they haven't really missed too much, but they got a not a rebuilding team that passed that part, in my opinion.
2:16
SPEAKER_00: But I really think that Carlton looking a bit better.
2:22
SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, this season they'll go one step slightly closer, the more closer to the wild card.
2:28
SPEAKER_00: Sidney are going to be a team to be.
2:30
SPEAKER_00: They are looking very good at home.
2:33
SPEAKER_00: They look really good coming into this game with new recruits.
2:38
SPEAKER_00: They're midfield.
2:39
SPEAKER_00: I think Den Cox has got a very good chance of playing a top four finish.
2:45
SPEAKER_00: But Carlton heads up always next week.
2:48
SPEAKER_00: Sydney, congratulations.
2:50
SPEAKER_00: And let's get into the next game.
2:52
SPEAKER_00: Next game is Gold Coast Suns and Geelong Katz.
2:56
SPEAKER_00: Now, this game, my goodness, great to have Friday night and on the Gold Coast at People's First Stadium.
3:02
SPEAKER_00: My goodness, Gold Coast had the skills.
3:05
SPEAKER_00: I really didn't see a Geelong Katz bring.
3:09
SPEAKER_00: Yes, they did not have all their best players, but it happens with age and like age and stuff like that.
3:17
SPEAKER_00: So if they need to bring some young players coming in, it's the right time to do.
3:23
SPEAKER_00: They will learn this game, Geelong.
3:24
SPEAKER_00: Gold Crows are going to be a top four side 2026.
3:29
SPEAKER_00: Damien Hardwork, well done on the win.
3:32
SPEAKER_00: Well, Geelong, not Setsi football.
3:36
SPEAKER_00: That yes, second team is Geelong.
3:39
SPEAKER_00: Why setsy football?
3:41
SPEAKER_00: Win or lose don't really mind.
3:43
SPEAKER_00: Adelaide Cruz, of course, they are my first team.
3:47
SPEAKER_00: We'll share that in the round run.
3:50
SPEAKER_00: But I really think that I really am pumped to see the Gold Coast Suns playing some great football.
3:57
SPEAKER_00: They are going to be the team to be, especially on the Gold Coast for the second year in a row.
4:02
SPEAKER_00: And as well on the road.
4:13
SPEAKER_00: Let's get into the next game.
4:15
SPEAKER_00: Alright.
4:16
SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of expectation that, you know, I went with four form with this game and I thought they had better confidence.
4:25
SPEAKER_00: But they just look really, you know, where are Hawthorne's talents going to be season 2026?
4:32
SPEAKER_00: GJS Giants, they're on a mother level.
4:34
SPEAKER_00: They they won and they want it more.
4:37
SPEAKER_00: Now, thought in that, they struggle in opening round, but they they got their wish and they get the four points.
4:43
SPEAKER_00: That's that's great for opening round.
4:46
SPEAKER_00: But can they play four quarters of football all year, GJS Giants?
4:50
SPEAKER_00: That's a matter on a different subject or even genuinely unsure.
4:56
SPEAKER_00: Hawthorne, it's just some where you can't just align on your, you know, experienced Jack Gunson to do kicking a hundred goals for the season.
5:05
SPEAKER_00: Like, that's a lot of goals.
5:08
SPEAKER_00: But for a key forward, I think they're missing that Hawthorne.
5:12
SPEAKER_00: And I think injuries like the the real day, midfield gun speed, they they're missing that.
5:19
SPEAKER_00: And I they've got players can replace that, and I know they'll do really well.
5:23
SPEAKER_00: Well done to the Giants with the win.
5:26
SPEAKER_00: Now we come to the game.
5:28
SPEAKER_00: I think it is Desi the game of the round.
5:31
SPEAKER_00: The Western Bullogs went and beat the reigning plentiers back to back.
5:36
SPEAKER_00: Yes, he's at the gala.
5:37
SPEAKER_00: Not easy roll win.
5:39
SPEAKER_00: They want it more the dogs, and they got it.
5:44
SPEAKER_00: Brisbane just got some struggle with some key players out, and it happens when you are a good quality side.
5:52
SPEAKER_00: Have that respect.
5:53
SPEAKER_00: But the Bulldogs, their Western Bulldogs, came and really put on a great show.
6:01
SPEAKER_00: I really think that Brisbane will learn this and they'll bounce back.
6:06
SPEAKER_00: They go to Sydney, they are gonna be tested.
6:09
SPEAKER_00: This is where Brisbane are going to be challenged this year, in my opinion, to leak 3P.
6:15
SPEAKER_00: They want 3P, they have to earn it.
6:18
SPEAKER_00: They can't just show up.
6:19
SPEAKER_00: They know that.
6:20
SPEAKER_00: The fans know that.
6:22
SPEAKER_00: General fans, well, that's a different part of that.
6:27
SPEAKER_00: But the Western Bullooks, they look really good.
6:29
SPEAKER_00: I have totally like they are, you know.
6:33
SPEAKER_00: Can they go one step and play September football game?
6:37
SPEAKER_00: I believe so.
6:38
SPEAKER_00: They're they're looking really good.
6:40
SPEAKER_00: If they don't have injuries, look how.
6:43
SPEAKER_00: But well done.
6:44
SPEAKER_00: Brisbane heads up, not over.
6:46
SPEAKER_00: Good crowd in, but yeah.
6:49
SPEAKER_00: Final game.
6:50
SPEAKER_00: This is the moment.
6:51
SPEAKER_00: This is very different.
6:52
SPEAKER_00: And the first time opening round in Melbourne, MCG 90,000.
6:56
SPEAKER_00: The Saints and the Pies went head to head.
7:00
SPEAKER_00: Well, well done to Conningwood.
7:02
SPEAKER_00: Yes, have things happened.
7:04
SPEAKER_00: St.
7:05
SPEAKER_00: Kilda put the pressure.
7:07
SPEAKER_00: They did not want Conningwood to really get these easy goals, and they had their moments for Coningwood to do that.
7:17
SPEAKER_00: I am hoping that Saints will bounce back.
7:22
SPEAKER_00: They know they've got what I think the best off-season team in a lot of levels.
7:28
SPEAKER_00: Druckman, more talent in midfield, better tacking.
7:33
SPEAKER_00: I think they've done it perfectly, in my opinion, overall, St.
7:38
SPEAKER_00: Kilda.
7:38
SPEAKER_00: They are going to look really good.
7:41
SPEAKER_00: They when they look good, St.
7:43
SPEAKER_00: Kilda, look out.
7:44
SPEAKER_00: I think it's going to be a not playing that, my opinion.
7:48
SPEAKER_00: They will play final, so I think in that six, seventh spot, or even eighth.
7:54
SPEAKER_00: So I really think St.
7:56
SPEAKER_00: Kilda are looking a good development team in the future.
8:00
SPEAKER_00: With Collingwood with the win, you know, it wasn't easy.
8:04
SPEAKER_00: I think they'll challenge.
8:05
SPEAKER_00: Yes, they didn't have Darcy Moore.
8:07
SPEAKER_00: They didn't have their best defender for their scheme, and they got the job done.
8:13
SPEAKER_00: That's what Hammond's smart teams do paired with what St.
8:18
SPEAKER_00: Kilda is gonna know.
8:19
SPEAKER_00: No one saw this coming.
8:21
SPEAKER_00: It was going to be a close game, in my opinion.
8:24
SPEAKER_00: I did tip St.
8:25
SPEAKER_00: Kilda.
8:26
SPEAKER_00: So a tender took the risk, and I took the risk in a lot of ways.
8:31
SPEAKER_00: And this was obviously the game of the round to watch.
8:36
SPEAKER_00: The game of the round, I opinion think, is the Lions and the Dolph.
8:40
SPEAKER_00: So they're my reviews.
8:42
SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much.
8:44
SPEAKER_00: And oh my goodness, let's dive in to the moment when we wait for round one.
8:48
SPEAKER_00: April for apprenticeship season.
8:50
SPEAKER_00: All teams are playing.
8:51
SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
8:53
SPEAKER_00: So we are here.
8:57
SPEAKER_00: It's previews time.
8:59
SPEAKER_00: Opening round's done.
9:01
SPEAKER_00: We're done.
9:03
SPEAKER_00: All the other teams are not played, but this is the moment.
9:06
SPEAKER_00: The Richmond Tigers and the Cum Blues.
9:10
SPEAKER_00: Thursday night football.
9:12
SPEAKER_00: My thought of this game.
9:15
SPEAKER_00: My goodness.
9:16
SPEAKER_00: I'm going to go for the Clum Blues.
9:18
SPEAKER_00: They're going to do well.
9:20
SPEAKER_00: I'm keeping them by 15 points.
9:23
SPEAKER_00: It's going to be an 80,085, in my opinion.
9:27
SPEAKER_00: It's going to be close.
9:29
SPEAKER_00: It's going to be tight.
9:30
SPEAKER_00: Colden will bring the win.
9:32
SPEAKER_00: But Richmond will bring the Richmond style.
9:36
SPEAKER_00: Hopefully they'll bring back.
9:38
SPEAKER_00: But it's uh, well, in my opinion, this is a rebuild of success.
9:44
SPEAKER_00: Ken Richmond goes one step slightly better up the ladder.
9:49
SPEAKER_00: Not to pay finals, obviously.
9:51
SPEAKER_00: Just to really bring some talent.
9:54
SPEAKER_00: It's going to be a long road for a long season with the Richmond Tigers.
9:59
SPEAKER_00: But if Richmond can start really in the good pressure way, it's going to be a tight game.
10:04
SPEAKER_00: Calden for me.
10:06
SPEAKER_00: Next game, Friday night for the it's great to have Friday night at the MCG.
10:12
SPEAKER_00: Dubba back to back.
10:13
SPEAKER_00: And it's the Bombers and the Hawks.
10:16
SPEAKER_00: Hawthorne for me.
10:17
SPEAKER_00: I think they'll bounce back.
10:18
SPEAKER_00: Haweson, we don't know where they're going to be.
10:21
SPEAKER_00: It's going if Danson can stay that contest, he'll be about a 25-point for the Hawks.
10:28
SPEAKER_00: I think they'll bounce back.
10:30
SPEAKER_00: Even they have those injuries.
10:32
SPEAKER_00: We're struggling against the Giants, the Hawks.
10:34
SPEAKER_00: It's going to be a tight one.
10:36
SPEAKER_00: So hawthorn for me.
10:38
SPEAKER_00: Next game we have the Fans Saturday afternoon for 2026.
10:42
SPEAKER_00: It's the Western Bulldogs and the G D Dowage Giants.
10:46
SPEAKER_00: Both took a big win.
10:48
SPEAKER_00: But I'm backing up the Western Bulldogs.
10:51
SPEAKER_00: I'm not concerned about the Giants in any way.
10:54
SPEAKER_00: They don't have their Tom Green only in that midfield.
10:57
SPEAKER_00: Or Toby Green, which one, which screen it was.
11:01
SPEAKER_00: I'm a bit confused with that.
11:03
SPEAKER_00: But overall, I think this will be a man of good contest, about a 30 point and under 27 points of the Western Bordobs.
11:13
SPEAKER_00: It could be under.
11:15
SPEAKER_00: I'm just lacking up.
11:16
SPEAKER_00: I think Marble same, the dogs will really do really well.
11:20
SPEAKER_00: The next game is second.
11:22
SPEAKER_00: We're down at Geelong.
11:23
SPEAKER_00: We're at GM8 BA Stadium.
11:26
SPEAKER_00: Which Geelong had some 300 dockers.
11:28
SPEAKER_00: My thoughts for this, I'm done after save 300 dockers.
11:32
SPEAKER_00: I think after that not great win a loss against the Gold Coast Suns, Geelong will be left.
11:39
SPEAKER_00: Some of the best guns back into the team.
11:41
SPEAKER_00: But I think Freanthal have better.
11:44
SPEAKER_00: They had a really good preseason.
11:46
SPEAKER_00: I'm backing them, and I'm saying a close one by 10 points.
11:49
SPEAKER_00: I think it'd be a good crowd, and I think it'd be a great game to watch.
11:54
SPEAKER_00: Next game, we have the first ever 2026.
11:58
SPEAKER_00: Well, the second week, but back to back.
12:01
SPEAKER_00: We are in Sydney, the Swans and the Lions.
12:05
SPEAKER_00: This is always going to be a close one.
12:07
SPEAKER_00: That's Sydney is for me.
12:09
SPEAKER_00: I think they're going to go one step better.
12:11
SPEAKER_00: It's great to have my thoughts for this game is both teams play well at on their home grounds at the Gather and at the SCG, which Sydney are hosting this game.
12:22
SPEAKER_00: I think it'll be a really close one, in my opinion, in a long way.
12:26
SPEAKER_00: 25 points Sydney Swans.
12:28
SPEAKER_00: Next game, the moment I'm in Wayne Footchair.
12:32
SPEAKER_00: It's Collingwood and Adelaide Crows.
12:34
SPEAKER_00: I'm backing Adelaide Crows by seven points.
12:37
SPEAKER_00: Look, I'm not against that we may win this game, but I think we'll have, we'll not have a great preseason in general with injuries.
12:47
SPEAKER_00: But guess what?
12:48
SPEAKER_00: We don't have the backhand.
12:49
SPEAKER_00: We don't have the, you know, Dan Curtin.
12:52
SPEAKER_00: We don't have the ivory of King King.
12:55
SPEAKER_00: I'll think of his name a little bit later down the track, but Mark King King.
13:00
SPEAKER_00: Mark King.
13:02
SPEAKER_00: So even with missing those great talent players, it doesn't mean anything.
13:07
SPEAKER_00: We do have players to fill that role.
13:10
SPEAKER_00: And we know how important this game.
13:12
SPEAKER_00: It'll be a close one.
13:14
SPEAKER_00: It'll be a tight one, but the LA Crows for me.
13:17
SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
13:17
SPEAKER_00: We're back on Sunday afternoon.
13:19
SPEAKER_00: Oh boy, this is going to be interesting.
13:22
SPEAKER_00: Jason Horn finds his first time in Melbourne that's hack on his formal club.
13:27
SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot saying that Porta should win this game, but I'm unsure about North Melbourne.
13:33
SPEAKER_00: I will back up Port Later just to be tipping the two South Australian teams to make the shore.
13:39
SPEAKER_00: 20 points, tight game, and that's who I'm going for.
13:42
SPEAKER_00: Next game second Sunday.
13:45
SPEAKER_00: Sunday afternoon footy back at the MCG for the first time for the Demons and the Saints.
13:51
SPEAKER_00: Melbourne and St.
13:51
SPEAKER_00: Kilda.
13:52
SPEAKER_00: I really think St.
13:54
SPEAKER_00: Kilda, I'm backing them up once again.
13:57
SPEAKER_00: Unsure where Melbourne are.
13:59
SPEAKER_00: Yes, they don't have their best two midfields.
14:01
SPEAKER_00: You know, they move on.
14:02
SPEAKER_00: They've gone one to the Giants and one gone to the Gold Coast.
14:06
SPEAKER_00: They're paying their style with their new clubs being that, not naming that.
14:12
SPEAKER_00: But I really think Melbourne, I think they had a right preseason.
14:16
SPEAKER_00: Yes, against a team that like Richmond Tigers took a nice win there.
14:22
SPEAKER_00: But that's preseason.
14:23
SPEAKER_00: And I think I'm backing up with the Saints by 40 points.
14:31
SPEAKER_00: At the MCG, they will bounce back and they'll dominate well.
14:35
SPEAKER_00: The final game, not too much to say.
14:38
SPEAKER_00: West round run at People's First Stadium.
14:42
SPEAKER_00: PFS is what the short for the Gulf Coast Suns and the West Coast Eagles.
14:47
SPEAKER_00: Well, we have one round in at Octo Stadium.
14:52
SPEAKER_00: But now, the first time I think that both non for the SA teens and the Western Strain teams do not host on at Octostadium or Aladoval for round one.
15:05
SPEAKER_00: That's the first time ever seen that in a feature.
15:08
SPEAKER_00: So Dolco Suns by 50 points.
15:11
SPEAKER_00: I'm not one to be so nasty on that, but West Coast has got to rebuild.
15:16
SPEAKER_00: They've got to find talent, they're going to find future players they ticked off.
15:21
SPEAKER_00: Have they got enough to get some good wins?
15:25
SPEAKER_00: And they won't be easy.
15:28
SPEAKER_00: I really think that Gold Coast are the team.
15:31
SPEAKER_00: They are top two team.
15:33
SPEAKER_00: I think it's going to be a type one.
15:36
SPEAKER_00: And yeah, so that's my full team reviews.
15:39
SPEAKER_00: What do you think?
15:40
SPEAKER_00: Love to hear from you comments down below.
15:44
SPEAKER_00: Alright, that's it.
15:46
SPEAKER_00: Well, that's it.
15:47
SPEAKER_00: And I can't believe we are done for the previews for for over all it's on it to say that next week we'll share the reviews of round one and round two for previews.
16:04
SPEAKER_00: The same thing we did in this episode, we'll share.
16:07
SPEAKER_00: Aidan will join during the season as well.
16:12
SPEAKER_00: Alright, alright, thank you so much.
16:14
SPEAKER_00: Make sure you give this a like.
16:15
SPEAKER_00: Much appreciate.
16:17
SPEAKER_00: And all the full quizzes I've been doing from the LA coach to the Western Border Ops, all of them there will be in the description down below, all the links.
16:28
SPEAKER_00: So much appreciate if you can make sure you if you like the team, you follow, there's a quiz for you right here on the B Jocho.
16:39
SPEAKER_00: Alright, thank you so much.
16:41
SPEAKER_00: We'll see you next week.
16:43
SPEAKER_00: Keep your eye out for more fun quizzes as well.
16:46
SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
16:47
SPEAKER_00: B Jojo Chocha.
