- Lucas: Velkommen til Episode 90 of Learn Danish with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Lucas, we've talked about weather and time, but today I want to talk about nature. Lucas: Great idea. Today we're going to learn some Danish nature words: skov, hav, and strand. Luna: Skov, hav, strand. Let me guess: skov is forest, hav is sea, and strand is beach? Lucas: Exactly right. Let's say them. Skov. Luna: Skov. Lucas: Hav. Luna: Hav. Lucas: Strand. Luna: Strand. That one sounds like 'strand' in English. Lucas: Yeah, it's very similar. Now let's make sentences. 'Jeg elsker skoven.' Means 'I love the forest.' Jeg elsker skoven. Luna: Jeg elsker skoven. Lucas: Good. 'Vi går til stranden.' Means 'We go to the beach.' Vi går til stranden. Luna: Vi går til stranden. Lucas: And 'Havet er blåt.' Means 'The sea is blue.' Havet er blåt. Luna: Havet er blåt. That's so poetic. Lucas: Let's do a little scene. Imagine we're in Denmark, and you say 'Jeg elsker skoven.' Then I say 'Vi går til stranden.' And you say 'Havet er blåt.' Ready? Luna: Sure. Jeg elsker skoven. Lucas: Vi går til stranden. Luna: Havet er blåt. Lucas: Perfect. You nailed it. Luna: You know, learning these words makes me want to go to Denmark and see the forest and the beach. Lucas: Same. And if Fexingo has been helping you make progress with Danish, you can support our ad-free show at buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Luna: Yeah, it's a small way to keep us going. Anyway, back to nature. Let's practice one more time. Lucas: Okay, repeat after me: skov, hav, strand. Luna: Skov, hav, strand. Lucas: Jeg elsker skoven. Luna: Jeg elsker skoven. Lucas: Vi går til stranden. Luna: Vi går til stranden. Lucas: Havet er blåt. Luna: Havet er blåt. I love that one. Lucas: Great job, Luna. That's all for today. Practice these words, and next time we'll explore more. Luna: Tak for i dag, Lucas. See you next time! Lucas: Farvel!
