- Prashanthi Nuthi: Until this weekend, I was really proud about the system of moving things around, the box and the glass jars, so that I had a good visibility into my shopping list when I went to grocery shopping. But lately, life got so busy, I started going on shopping sprees based on what I saw in the glass jars. And I totally forgot about the hidden box. That's what happens when you plan based on partial visibility. You'll end up like me with three glass jars of walnuts and running out of cashews. That's when I couldn't stop thinking about work. I see a similar pattern at work too. Every project, every team has their glass jars and the hidden box. The teams that develop the best roadmap look at all the places to get the full picture. Here's the microboost for you today. How are you planning your roadmaps? Are you just looking at the glass jars where you can see the ongoing visible work on the dashboards on your sprint ⁓ Or are you also looking into the hidden ⁓ the box where you parked. items a couple of months back and forgot about it. The box where tech-debt items exist and you never talk about them. The box where initiatives slowly started disappearing over the course of time. Open that hidden box. Look into your backlogs. Look everywhere. Get the full picture before you start planning your roadmaps. Hello friends, this weekend while I was cleaning my pantry, I was surprised to discover not one, not two, but three bags of walnuts sitting in the hidden box below. That's the box where all the overflow, half empty packets and packets that don't fit into the glass jars And you'll be surprised how you'll stop buying walnuts and start focusing on the cashews that need your attention. ⁓ Remember, small actions, big impact. Until we meet again next time, let's keep making impact together.
