- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello, beautiful beans, and welcome to this focused episode. So
- 0:17Speaker 1: this focus episode is an extract from one of my
- 0:20Speaker 1: older episodes, just to bring it to the forefront and
- 0:23Speaker 1: remind you for topic that is really important that I've
- 0:25Speaker 1: spoken about in the past. If you would like to
- 0:28Speaker 1: hear the entire episode, just click on the link in
- 0:31Speaker 1: the show notes and it will take you to the
- 0:32Speaker 1: full episode. I hope you enjoyed.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Dunker Ten things you should know about yourself Now. The
- 0:41Speaker 2: first thing that I want you to do is to
- 0:43Speaker 2: actually be writing these things down for many reasons. Number one,
- 0:46Speaker 2: it helps you slow down when you answer it, and
- 0:48Speaker 2: it helps you really put a lot of thought into
- 0:50Speaker 2: it and really kind of delve into it. You can
- 0:53Speaker 2: type it out or write it down, but it's good
- 0:54Speaker 2: to write the answers down as well as of course
- 0:57Speaker 2: the questions. The other good thing about this is it's
- 0:59Speaker 2: good to then save it. If you found this really interesting,
- 1:01Speaker 2: save it and then answer it in a few months
- 1:04Speaker 2: time or in a year's time, and look at how
- 1:06Speaker 2: things have changed for you. Okay, so it's a really
- 1:08Speaker 2: really really good self love exercise to do. Let's get
- 1:12Speaker 2: straight into it. Number one, what feeling do I avoid
- 1:18Speaker 2: feeling the most and why. Okay, it is so important
- 1:23Speaker 2: to understand this about yourself because it taps into what
- 1:26Speaker 2: your main insecurity is or what your main fears are.
- 1:30Speaker 2: If the feeling that you avoid feeling the most is
- 1:33Speaker 2: something that's rational, then you can kind of look at it,
- 1:37Speaker 2: address it and think, well, yeah, fair enough that I
- 1:39Speaker 2: feel that that's a very rational thing to fear, or
- 1:42Speaker 2: that's a really rational thing to you know, not want
- 1:45Speaker 2: to play into too much.
- 1:47Speaker 3: So that's fine.
- 1:47Speaker 2: But sometimes the things that you might be avoiding the
- 1:50Speaker 2: most is vulnerability. And you can't access true connection and
- 1:55Speaker 2: true happiness without some.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Level of vulnerability.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:58Speaker 2: That's how you strengthen a connection between somebody, that's how
- 2:01Speaker 2: you get to know yourself better. So if you ask yourself,
- 2:04Speaker 2: let's say vulnerability is the answer to that, and you say,
- 2:06Speaker 2: I avoid feeling vulnerable the most? Why because you feel unsafe?
- 2:12Speaker 2: Is it because you feel attacked? Is it because you
- 2:15Speaker 2: feel unlovable? It's really important to know the answer to
- 2:20Speaker 2: that question because once you understand the answer the why,
- 2:27Speaker 2: then you're able to think, Okay, well, what do I
- 2:29Speaker 2: need to change that thing? If that's if it can
- 2:32Speaker 2: be changed, what do I need to do. If it's
- 2:34Speaker 2: because you think that you're unlovable, then it's certain things
- 2:37Speaker 2: that you can do to work on your self love
- 2:39Speaker 2: or work on your current relationships. If you think it's
- 2:42Speaker 2: because you're going to be hurt or attacked, then you
- 2:46Speaker 2: should look at the quality of the current relationships that
- 2:48Speaker 2: are around you and think, is this a reflection of
- 2:50Speaker 2: the relationships around you? Okay, so, but gain and understanding.
- 2:54Speaker 2: What feeling do you avoid feeling the most?
- 2:56Speaker 3: And why? Number two?
- 3:22Speaker 2: What are my three non negotiables?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Every day?
- 3:27Speaker 2: So I feel self love, so you feel that you
- 3:32Speaker 2: love yourself. If you don't know what those non negotiables are,
- 3:36Speaker 2: then you're likely not doing those things consistently for yourself
- 3:40Speaker 2: every single day. Now, you might be a very well
- 3:42Speaker 2: rounded person where a lot of things are going well,
- 3:44Speaker 2: so you might not need these non negotiables. Okay, However,
- 3:48Speaker 2: for a lot of people, self love is a big issue.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And I know that for sure because when I look
- 3:54Speaker 2: at the downloads of my episodes, the self love episodes,
- 3:56Speaker 2: by far, by far, by far exceed.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Every other episode.
- 4:01Speaker 2: People love any episode around self love because they want
- 4:05Speaker 2: to love themselves more, which is fucking amazing.
- 4:07Speaker 3: And I love that.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Nothing makes me happier than seeing those episodes thrive above
- 4:12Speaker 2: all others. But obviously people are repeating those episodes because
- 4:15Speaker 2: they want this information, because they want to increase or
- 4:18Speaker 2: improve their relationship with themselves. So if you're in that situation,
- 4:22Speaker 2: then you should absolutely have three things, three non negotiables
- 4:26Speaker 2: every single day to feel self love. For me, I
- 4:30Speaker 2: personally have, like me Alexis, I personally have meditation, alone
- 4:36Speaker 2: time and quality time with somebody that's very close to me. Okay,
- 4:43Speaker 2: and that could even be just a quick phone call
- 4:44Speaker 2: to my mother okay. But if I do those things
- 4:49Speaker 2: every single day, I feel really grounded and I feel
- 4:53Speaker 2: really happy within myself okay, because I've reached out and
- 4:57Speaker 2: connected to someone that matters to me and get that
- 5:00Speaker 2: connection and that having that interaction with that person makes
- 5:03Speaker 2: me feel just a deep sense of love. And when
- 5:07Speaker 2: you interact with people that always you know have your
- 5:10Speaker 2: best interest at heart, who you adore, it helps you
- 5:13Speaker 2: with your self love because you're creating that like safe space,
- 5:16Speaker 2: that beautiful energy where you have a big, strong connection
- 5:20Speaker 2: of love.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Meditation is amazing because you're saying to yourself, no matter
- 5:24Speaker 2: what happens, even if only for a minute, I'm going
- 5:27Speaker 2: to give my mind a bit of respite, and I'm
- 5:30Speaker 2: going to give myself that time because I deserve it
- 5:32Speaker 2: and because it is important and I need it, and
- 5:35Speaker 2: I know that I'll be more relaxed, happier, calmer, perform
- 5:38Speaker 2: better at everything else if I do this for myself. Okay,
- 5:41Speaker 2: so that's why I find it so important, something like meditation,
- 5:44Speaker 2: connect with someone that I adore, and a little bit
- 5:46Speaker 2: of a loone time. If I do that every single day,
- 5:50Speaker 2: I'm genuinely feeling a lot better about myself and a
- 5:53Speaker 2: feeling in a really good place every single day. But
- 5:56Speaker 2: what are your three non negotiables you decide? It can
- 5:58Speaker 2: be absolutely anything.
