Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / WWE Smackdown 3/27/26 Review | A Lame Closing Brawl That Took FIVE BUSINESS DAYS
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Oh my, oh my goodness, three weeks away, three weeks
- 0:06Speaker 1: from WrestleMania. This is what they give us. This is
- 0:09Speaker 1: what they give us. You know, when you get a
- 0:12Speaker 1: good SmackDown every now and it's more like a comet,
- 0:16Speaker 1: you see, like a passing meteor in the sky. That's
- 0:19Speaker 1: kind of what a good SmackDown is. When you get
- 0:21Speaker 1: a good SmackDown, that's great. When you get a bad
- 0:24Speaker 1: SmackDown at three hours, it is insufferable. I feel like
- 0:30Speaker 1: I'd have more fun waiting in line at TSA for
- 0:32Speaker 1: three hours, and I would watching some of these SmackDown shows.
- 0:37Speaker 1: We had a brutal first hour and actually a little
- 0:41Speaker 1: more than that, a little over an hour to open
- 0:44Speaker 1: the show tonight, and I am watching this going it
- 0:47Speaker 1: can't possibly get any worse. I mean, the show can
- 0:50Speaker 1: only get better from here, right, It's only uphill from here.
- 0:54Speaker 1: We still don't know what Randy Orton's going to be
- 0:56Speaker 1: doing when it comes to the main event with Matt Cardona.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Cody Rhodes is probably going to be back at the
- 1:01Speaker 1: end of the show. We had a big US title
- 1:04Speaker 1: match coming up and not US Championship match tonight between
- 1:08Speaker 1: Sammy's Ain and carmel O Hayes. That was great. So
- 1:12Speaker 1: the show did get better because of that one match.
- 1:15Speaker 1: And they went out there and they look, I mean,
- 1:17Speaker 1: they tore it up. They had a great outing. They've
- 1:18Speaker 1: worked together before, so we know what those two men
- 1:21Speaker 1: can do in the ring together, and in fact, in
- 1:24Speaker 1: that matcham as well mention it. Now we have a
- 1:26Speaker 1: brand new United States Champion. And there are two ways
- 1:29Speaker 1: to look at this. On the one hand, they have
- 1:31Speaker 1: been telling a story with Sammy's ain. This is the
- 1:33Speaker 1: next kind of step in the story. Sammy's match for
- 1:38Speaker 1: WrestleMania now is solidified, and we'll talk about carmel O
- 1:42Speaker 1: Hayes and whether or not he may or may not
- 1:43Speaker 1: be involved in that. So because I'm very torn on
- 1:47Speaker 1: the outcome of that match, but I can't hate on
- 1:49Speaker 1: that match, but I can honestly say that outside of
- 1:52Speaker 1: that US title match, SmackDown was a shit show tonight.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I mean, there's really no other way to put it.
- 1:58Speaker 1: SmackDown was a shit show tonight with the absolute lamest,
- 2:03Speaker 1: longest and in many ways heatless, pull apart brawls that
- 2:09Speaker 1: you will ever see, certainly the longest one that I
- 2:13Speaker 1: have seen in ages that show closing brawl with Randy
- 2:17Speaker 1: Orton and Cody Rhodes. I put in the title of
- 2:21Speaker 1: the video here, it took five business days. It just
- 2:26Speaker 1: kept going and going and going, and the fans weren't
- 2:30Speaker 1: even really like there were uncomfortable periods of just silence
- 2:34Speaker 1: as the two men in one of the WrestleMania main
- 2:37Speaker 1: events are out there acting as if they hate each
- 2:40Speaker 1: other's guts and they're trying to get at each other,
- 2:42Speaker 1: and it's it's again, it's the same trope we see
- 2:44Speaker 1: with WWE pull apart brawls all the time, and I
- 2:48Speaker 1: think because the formula never changes, when you get one
- 2:52Speaker 1: like this that isn't that good at all. It really
- 2:55Speaker 1: stands out more where you have the general manager come
- 2:58Speaker 1: out and he's waving out all of these referees and
- 3:01Speaker 1: all of these producers and all of these security guards
- 3:03Speaker 1: and they're all coming out, and you've got ten fifteen
- 3:06Speaker 1: fucking people out there, and they are unable to maintain
- 3:10Speaker 1: law and order and they're getting thrown around, and you
- 3:14Speaker 1: get there pulled apart in each corner of the ring.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Somebody breaks free, they jump onto the other person, then
- 3:21Speaker 1: they get separated again, then the other person breaks free
- 3:24Speaker 1: and then they jump on them in the corner. Right.
- 3:26Speaker 1: They have their formula all the time. They all look
- 3:28Speaker 1: the same. This was different in that people didn't really
- 3:33Speaker 1: seem to care. And the other thing also is like,
- 3:36Speaker 1: I'm watching this and Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes was bloodied
- 3:41Speaker 1: up by this man. He was betrayed and bloodied by
- 3:45Speaker 1: his brother, okay, by one of his best friends in
- 3:49Speaker 1: the business, left for dead a couple of weeks ago
- 3:53Speaker 1: on SmackDown. This was the first time that we have
- 3:55Speaker 1: seen Cody Rhodes back on this show since that heinous attack.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And I mean, honestly, I don't know what was going
- 4:03Speaker 1: on here. He comes out there with about as much
- 4:06Speaker 1: intensity as a corpse, and they're just like, it's like lifeless.
- 4:11Speaker 1: They're just rowing shots at each other and they're pulling
- 4:13Speaker 1: them away. There's there's there's just no real urgency there.
- 4:18Speaker 1: There's no sense of like, Okay, they're trying to convince
- 4:22Speaker 1: us that they want to get at each other in
- 4:24Speaker 1: the worst way. They're just going through the motions. That's
- 4:28Speaker 1: all I could That's all I could think as I'm
- 4:29Speaker 1: watching this. They're just going through the motions and Honestly,
- 4:32Speaker 1: I will say watching that segment, it felt like maybe
- 4:35Speaker 1: they came up short on time and they had to
- 4:39Speaker 1: stretch things because, oh shit, we came up short. We
- 4:42Speaker 1: got to keep this going for a little bit longer
- 4:45Speaker 1: before Jelly Roll finally came out, like they were stalling
- 4:49Speaker 1: for time, almost just to get to the top of
- 4:51Speaker 1: the hour. That's what it felt like to me. Although
- 4:53Speaker 1: I don't know, usually they time these shows out perfectly.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I don't know if something ran short. I'm trying to
- 4:58Speaker 1: come up with a a decent explanation for why this
- 5:02Speaker 1: was so bad. But jelly Roll comes out and he's
- 5:07Speaker 1: trying to keep the peace because he loves he loves
- 5:11Speaker 1: Cody Rhodes, and he loves Randy Orton, right, Randy's his boy,
- 5:16Speaker 1: And you could see where this was going. And Randy
- 5:19Speaker 1: Orton again breaks free and he drops Jelly Roll with
- 5:23Speaker 1: an RKO. And as soon as he drops Jelly Roll
- 5:27Speaker 1: with an RKO, the crowd breaks out at the chance
- 5:30Speaker 1: of Randy Randy Randy and I just sat here laughing,
- 5:37Speaker 1: and I don't even think, not that I don't think.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I know that was not WWE's intent. WWE is not
- 5:43Speaker 1: booking this main event WrestleMania Maine event no less feud
- 5:47Speaker 1: between Cody Roads and Randy Orton with the idea that
- 5:49Speaker 1: they're trying to make it funny. But I thought this
- 5:52Speaker 1: shit was fucking hilarious in the worst possible way, because
- 5:56Speaker 1: it's not meant to be hilarious, But it is hilarious
- 5:59Speaker 1: because these crows do not want to boo Randy Orton,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and so they tried something tonight because jelly Roll. The
- 6:04Speaker 1: fans like jelly Roll. Jelly Roll had a match on
- 6:06Speaker 1: this show. Oh if you were worried about getting enough
- 6:10Speaker 1: jelly in your diet, you got a lot of jelly
- 6:12Speaker 1: in your diet tonight. Between tonight and last week, he
- 6:15Speaker 1: had a match on the show against Kit Wilson. We'll
- 6:17Speaker 1: talk about that. But the fans like jelly Roll. It's
- 6:21Speaker 1: not like when he comes up, they boo him, you know,
- 6:23Speaker 1: get the fuck out of here. And but didn't matter.
- 6:26Speaker 1: He gets dropped with an RKO. They're trying to get
- 6:29Speaker 1: heat on Randy Orton and it blows up in their
- 6:31Speaker 1: fucking face and I just laugh and I just like,
- 6:34Speaker 1: this is this is great, This is this is very entertaining.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I am sports entertained. I just don't think I'm sports
- 6:41Speaker 1: entertained in the way that they intend for me to
- 6:44Speaker 1: be entertained watching this this show. This show is a disaster.
- 6:49Speaker 1: This show is a disaster in so many different ways.
- 6:54Speaker 1: We got two matches made for WrestleMania that are now official.
- 6:57Speaker 1: We know Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu are having an
- 6:59Speaker 1: un sanction match. I know there were rumors of Hell
- 7:03Speaker 1: and a Cell, which is you know what I had suggested,
- 7:06Speaker 1: maybe this may be going in that direction last week.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I said that, and that would have made sense. But
- 7:11Speaker 1: they're having an unsanctioned match. Notice qualification, no count out.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Referee is only there to count the winning fall or submission,
- 7:19Speaker 1: whatever it may be. The other match that is official
- 7:22Speaker 1: also is Sammy's Ain't the brand new United States Champion
- 7:26Speaker 1: is going to be defending his title against Trick Williams,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and I am hoping that there is another name. There's
- 7:34Speaker 1: still time, there's three weeks left that there is another
- 7:37Speaker 1: name that gets added to that match, because if not,
- 7:41Speaker 1: boy what a slap in his face? Is all I
- 7:43Speaker 1: have to say about that. But there is still time
- 7:46Speaker 1: to add that third person to that match. So we did.
- 7:49Speaker 1: It was a Newsworthy show and that we had two
- 7:51Speaker 1: matches made official for WrestleMania. The rest of this show,
- 7:54Speaker 1: it is a collection of boring, heatless matches. It is
- 8:01Speaker 1: incredible as I sit here watching this show. Whether it's
- 8:04Speaker 1: the women's tag team match, whether it's oh, even some
- 8:08Speaker 1: of the uh well I mentioned the jelly roll kit
- 8:10Speaker 1: Wilson thing. Obviously that's leading to some kind of jelly
- 8:12Speaker 1: roll match with miz I guess or WrestleMania. But whether
- 8:16Speaker 1: it's that, whether we saw Tiffany and Julia, I'm watching
- 8:18Speaker 1: Tiffany Stratton and Julia out there and they didn't have
- 8:20Speaker 1: a bad match, but the crowd didn't care. They could
- 8:26Speaker 1: not possibly have cared any less about what they were watching.
- 8:32Speaker 1: It's sad to watch. You know, Julia is out there,
- 8:34Speaker 1: she gets no reactions. Tiffany's out there, and I mean,
- 8:36Speaker 1: we know the fans like Tiffany, but Tiffany is a
- 8:39Speaker 1: terrible babyface. She's miscast as a babyface. So you take
- 8:44Speaker 1: those two things, you put them together. People don't care.
- 8:47Speaker 1: And I'm thinking this WrestleMania is three weeks away. Segment
- 8:51Speaker 1: after segment after segment, Oh, we got a good one, Okay,
- 8:53Speaker 1: segment after segment after segment, heatless, heatless, nobody cares, what
- 8:58Speaker 1: are we doing? This is WrestleMania. Does this feel like
- 9:01Speaker 1: WrestleMania season? I mean it did when Obafemi came out
- 9:05Speaker 1: on Raw last week to confront brock lesnar Boy. That
- 9:08Speaker 1: felt like WrestleMania. Right. There have been segments here and there,
- 9:12Speaker 1: that first Roman Reigns and see I'm Punk segment right
- 9:14Speaker 1: after the Royal Rumble that felt like WrestleMania. When Randy
- 9:17Speaker 1: Orton beat the shit out of Cody Roads two weeks
- 9:19Speaker 1: ago and bloodied him up, that felt like WrestleMania. But
- 9:22Speaker 1: everything else that they have done so far, virtually everything.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I mean, we could talk about Rhea Ripley and Jade
- 9:29Speaker 1: cargild tonight as well, and it's like this, this is WrestleMania.
- 9:35Speaker 1: This is terrible. Nobody seems to care. Where's the life,
- 9:41Speaker 1: Where's the energy on the show? I don't understand. Three
- 9:45Speaker 1: hours of television to fill and the only redeeming segment
- 9:48Speaker 1: on the entire show is Sammy's Ain and Carmelo Hayes
- 9:51Speaker 1: and they're out there busting their ass for the United
- 9:53Speaker 1: States Championship. Nothing else even feels all that important. Randy
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yorton is still on the phone talking to himself probably
- 10:01Speaker 1: that's where that's going. And there's really not a whole
- 10:05Speaker 1: lot else to speak of that really gets you truly
- 10:07Speaker 1: excited for wrestle maany And that's sad. You know, SmackDown
- 10:13Speaker 1: is hard enough to sit through at three hours when
- 10:15Speaker 1: you have a bad week or an off week. There
- 10:17Speaker 1: seem to be more off weeks than on weeks. But
- 10:20Speaker 1: it's even worse now because this should be the most
- 10:22Speaker 1: exciting period of the entire year for the WWE product.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Everything is building to these two nights that are coming
- 10:28Speaker 1: up in Las Vegas next month. And the way, by
- 10:32Speaker 1: the way that I felt about Cody Rose of Randy
- 10:34Speaker 1: Orton two weeks ago when Randy bloodied him up and
- 10:38Speaker 1: all that, and then we had that one really off
- 10:40Speaker 1: night with see I'm punkin Roman Reigns, and I'm like, man,
- 10:43Speaker 1: it's amazing how it feels like the excitement level has
- 10:45Speaker 1: flipped for these two main events. Now I feel like
- 10:48Speaker 1: it's flipped back the other way. We'll see at the
- 10:52Speaker 1: end of next week if it flips back. But yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I mean, SmackDown's just a shit show right now. I
- 10:58Speaker 1: don't really know what else to tell you. This show sucks.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I hate to say it. I take no pleasure in
- 11:06Speaker 1: saying that. But that show that we saw tonight, that
- 11:10Speaker 1: show sucked, and this close to WrestleMania, you got to
- 11:15Speaker 1: do a better job than that. It's just it's unbelievable.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It really is. This is your Friday Night SmackDown review.
- 11:23Speaker 1: It is March twenty seventh, twenty twenty six. Yeh, shittiest
- 11:29Speaker 1: brawl ever? Yes, yes, yes it was. I mean, for
- 11:35Speaker 1: two stars of their caliber heading into a big match
- 11:37Speaker 1: like that, yes it was. I think they were trying
- 11:41Speaker 1: to recreate some of the great pull apart brawls that
- 11:43Speaker 1: we've seen. I saw somebody before mentioned to me Sena
- 11:45Speaker 1: and Lesnar from twenty twelve. Yeah, that's not what this was.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I don't know what they were trying to recreate, but
- 11:52Speaker 1: whatever they were attempting to do there, it did not
- 11:55Speaker 1: work anyway. I will say thank you one thing to
- 11:59Speaker 1: get excited. We hit ninety one thousand subscribers, so I
- 12:02Speaker 1: want to say thank you. Give you guys a nice cheer,
- 12:08Speaker 1: appreciate the support. Hit the subscribe button, hit the like button.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Superchats are open. We have a bonus goal going on.
- 12:17Speaker 1: If you check out the goal at the top of
- 12:20Speaker 1: the live chat, that's for a bonus round of be
- 12:23Speaker 1: the Booker, assuming we get to the main goal. But
- 12:28Speaker 1: let's spind the wheel to find out how many likes
- 12:30Speaker 1: we need for be the Booker. Ooh, okay, so we're
- 12:43Speaker 1: a little ambitious tonight. Seven hundred likes is the goal.
- 12:47Speaker 1: We are at two thirty seven. We got some work
- 12:50Speaker 1: to do. Oh boy, we got some work to do. Now.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Of course we can actually bypass this. You know what
- 12:56Speaker 1: the trick is here that if we hit the bonus goal,
- 12:58Speaker 1: we can actually override the wheel anyway, hit that like button.
- 13:03Speaker 1: We'll periodically check in on that as we go along here.
- 13:06Speaker 1: But yes, venom Ktetsu again, thank you for the twenty five.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I will get to your message and everybody else's in
- 13:13Speaker 1: just a little bit. But we got to get into
- 13:14Speaker 1: this show. We have to get into this SmackDown show. Unfortunately.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Before I do, I do want to mention
- 13:20Speaker 1: that that was some news that broke late this afternoon.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Congrats to Scott Timore and the folks over a Maple
- 13:28Speaker 1: Leaf Pro Wrestling, which announced that they have signed a
- 13:33Speaker 1: television deal and they will have a new weekly series
- 13:36Speaker 1: called Maple Leaf Mayhem that's going to be airing on
- 13:39Speaker 1: TSN in Canada, So if you are a Canuck and
- 13:43Speaker 1: you have access to TSN, you will be able. I
- 13:45Speaker 1: don't know when it begins. I don't have the exact
- 13:48Speaker 1: date in front of me, but they will have a
- 13:50Speaker 1: new weekly TV series, so that is very cool. And
- 13:55Speaker 1: also I did see now I know, TNA had their
- 13:58Speaker 1: Sacrifice pay per view two night and it was supposed
- 14:01Speaker 1: to be Mike Santana in the main event defending the
- 14:03Speaker 1: TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Steve Macklin. Obviously I was
- 14:07Speaker 1: watching SmackDown. I did not see the show, but from
- 14:10Speaker 1: what I did see, early on in the match, like
- 14:13Speaker 1: within the first minute or two, apparently Macklin ate like
- 14:16Speaker 1: a shoot super kick. I guess it connected a little
- 14:19Speaker 1: too hard and he got injured. He might may or
- 14:23Speaker 1: may not have gotten concussed, whatever it was. Evidently they
- 14:27Speaker 1: stop the match to check on him, and I think
- 14:30Speaker 1: they sent Eddie Edwards out there, and anyway, the match
- 14:34Speaker 1: really never happened, so I don't know how serious that is,
- 14:38Speaker 1: but hopefully he is okay. That that sounds very scary.
- 14:42Speaker 1: You don't want to mess around with concussions or head
- 14:45Speaker 1: blows or anything like that. So if anybody gets any
- 14:48Speaker 1: update as we're live here, you can film me in
- 14:51Speaker 1: in the chat SmackDown. They opened tonight's show with highlights
- 14:56Speaker 1: of Randy Orton's very eventful night last Friday, ending with
- 15:00Speaker 1: him breaking Matt Cardona's wrist. So Randy Orton was out
- 15:04Speaker 1: first tonight, and he talked about Cody Rhoades telling him
- 15:07Speaker 1: two weeks ago that he needed Orton to be the
- 15:09Speaker 1: best version of himself that he could be. He wanted
- 15:13Speaker 1: the best version of Randy yort And he also said
- 15:17Speaker 1: Cody did that that's what the fans wanted him to be,
- 15:20Speaker 1: and the fans cheered when he mentioned this, and Cody
- 15:23Speaker 1: also said he needed him to listen to the voices,
- 15:27Speaker 1: listen to the voices in his head, and Cody, Yes,
- 15:33Speaker 1: did Macklin get fired and feast Or fired? It was
- 15:36Speaker 1: a work. Yes, he got fired. He's already back wrestling
- 15:42Speaker 1: for the world champion. Why don't they just have him?
- 15:44Speaker 1: When feast Or fired and opened the briefcase for the
- 15:46Speaker 1: world title shot, would that have not made more sense?
- 15:54Speaker 1: But he said Cody needed him to listen to the
- 15:55Speaker 1: voices in his head, but he shut those voices out
- 15:58Speaker 1: a long time ago, he said, and Eve been thinking
- 16:01Speaker 1: a lot about his fifteenth World championship, and he had
- 16:04Speaker 1: been thinking about his legacy. And then Cody, out of
- 16:07Speaker 1: nowhere gives him his blessing. Right, which is what I
- 16:11Speaker 1: said last week when I was talking about the the
- 16:14Speaker 1: idea behind why Randy did what he did. It was like,
- 16:17Speaker 1: you've been given permission, right, I love you no matter
- 16:20Speaker 1: what happens, I love you. I will always love you.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Fucking Whitney Houston over here, And that gave Randy the
- 16:25Speaker 1: permission to go ahead and beat the hell out of
- 16:27Speaker 1: this guy. So now that he's listening to the voices
- 16:31Speaker 1: in his head again, he said, he can't be responsible
- 16:34Speaker 1: for what happens next. So the voices up here, the
- 16:38Speaker 1: voices aren't the problem. It's everyone else's voice. And he's
- 16:42Speaker 1: looking out at the court. There's the closest we've gotten
- 16:44Speaker 1: to the you people promo, because it's everyone else's voices,
- 16:48Speaker 1: all of your voices and people in the back and
- 16:51Speaker 1: Cody or Jelly or whatever, you know. He's talking about
- 16:53Speaker 1: every other voice, but the ones in his own head.
- 16:56Speaker 1: That's the problem. There's one person outside of his own head, though,
- 17:00Speaker 1: whose voice he is listening to. So Matt Cardona's music hits,
- 17:05Speaker 1: he walks out, and he has a cast on his
- 17:09Speaker 1: wrist because they claim he has a broken wrist as
- 17:12Speaker 1: a result of last week's vicious attack by Randy Orton,
- 17:16Speaker 1: where mat Cardona laid there for thirty seconds with his
- 17:19Speaker 1: arm in a chair and looked up at Randy Orton
- 17:21Speaker 1: waiting for him to viciously stomp on the chair. And
- 17:25Speaker 1: so because of that, he now has a broken wrist.
- 17:27Speaker 1: So Cardona comes down, Orton shouting at him like what
- 17:31Speaker 1: are you doing here? As he's climbing into the ring,
- 17:34Speaker 1: and Cardona hits him in the head with the microphone.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Orton rolls out to the floor, right in front of
- 17:39Speaker 1: the announced desk, and in response to all of this,
- 17:43Speaker 1: the crowd in Pittsburgh chanted, Randy, Randy, Randy, get used
- 17:53Speaker 1: to it. You're gonna be hearing this a lot over
- 17:55Speaker 1: these next few weeks. And then they just awkwardly cut
- 17:58Speaker 1: to the back. That was the That was the end
- 18:00Speaker 1: of the segment. They just awkwardly cut to the back.
- 18:04Speaker 1: The fans, I will say. The fans were as firmly
- 18:08Speaker 1: behind Orton here as they have ever been, like even
- 18:12Speaker 1: when Orton was healing on them and said I don't
- 18:16Speaker 1: care about Basically, I don't care about your voices. Your
- 18:19Speaker 1: voices don't matter to me. They didn't even boom. They
- 18:22Speaker 1: didn't react at all. They were just listening intently to
- 18:25Speaker 1: what the man had to say. They're not going to
- 18:28Speaker 1: boo this man. They're not going to do it then
- 18:32Speaker 1: the back. Later, Orton was furious. He went over to
- 18:34Speaker 1: Nick all This and he demanded a match with Matt Cardona,
- 18:38Speaker 1: and the fans in the arena popped loudly when he
- 18:40Speaker 1: asked for this match. All This was hesitant to do
- 18:43Speaker 1: it because of Cardona's arm, but Orton said, if you
- 18:46Speaker 1: don't give me the match, there's no telling what I
- 18:48Speaker 1: may do to him. So Nick all This relented and
- 18:52Speaker 1: he agreed to give Randy Orton a match against the
- 18:55Speaker 1: man with the broken wrist. Which seems very unfair to
- 19:00Speaker 1: not at least first consult with the man who has
- 19:03Speaker 1: a broken wrisk before agreeing to put him in a
- 19:05Speaker 1: match on this show, but that's how things operate apparently
- 19:08Speaker 1: here on SmackDown. So the match was made, and so
- 19:11Speaker 1: we knew what our main event was going to be
- 19:12Speaker 1: right out of the gate. But that came a few
- 19:16Speaker 1: segments later. That backstage segment before that, in the back
- 19:21Speaker 1: Nick all This was speaking with Trick Williams and he
- 19:24Speaker 1: told Trick he was giving him a match at WrestleMania,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and of course Trick was just elated by this news.
- 19:30Speaker 1: And then Sammy Zain shows up and Trick is gloating
- 19:33Speaker 1: I'm going to WrestleMania, and Sammy congratulated him, and then
- 19:38Speaker 1: he asked, all this, what am I doing a WrestleMania
- 19:41Speaker 1: and all this should have told him the truth. He
- 19:43Speaker 1: should have been like, well, you're going to sweep the
- 19:44Speaker 1: floors after the fans leave for Night one because they're
- 19:48Speaker 1: going to be coming back for Night two and we
- 19:49Speaker 1: need this arena clean. But he had to break the
- 19:53Speaker 1: news to Sammy. He said, look, said, you're a major
- 19:57Speaker 1: asset to smack them, but things haven't exactly gone your way,
- 20:02Speaker 1: and at WrestleMania, championships need to be defended. Its valuable
- 20:06Speaker 1: real estate and unless something changes, I don't have a
- 20:10Speaker 1: spot for you right now at WrestleMania. Sammy had a
- 20:15Speaker 1: look on his face like somebody just told him his
- 20:17Speaker 1: dog died. Trick Williams looked at him and said, better
- 20:21Speaker 1: luck next year. And he kept on talking to all this.
- 20:24Speaker 1: He was asking for what do I get my comp
- 20:26Speaker 1: tickets and all this stuff, and Sammy is walking away
- 20:29Speaker 1: again the sad sack that he is. The depression continues
- 20:33Speaker 1: here for Sammy's ain't unsmacked out. But then he stops
- 20:37Speaker 1: and he suddenly smiles. It as if he had this
- 20:40Speaker 1: like epiphany, He had his Eureka moment. He just thought
- 20:43Speaker 1: of something. So he turns to go walk back towards them,
- 20:48Speaker 1: and Trick tells him, hey, Sammy, catering's that way. So
- 20:52Speaker 1: Sammy punched him in the face and knocked him to
- 20:54Speaker 1: the ground, and then he smiled at all this who
- 20:56Speaker 1: kind of had to hold him back here? He told
- 21:00Speaker 1: all this, I'm going to have a match of WrestleMania.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Just you watch. He walked off, and I was left
- 21:09Speaker 1: thinking at that moment, uh oh. And the first person
- 21:13Speaker 1: I thought of Carmelo Hayes. And the reason I thought
- 21:16Speaker 1: of carmel O Hayes is because of what all this
- 21:18Speaker 1: had said in the promo there where he said basically,
- 21:22Speaker 1: I don't have any room for you at WrestleMania. It's
- 21:24Speaker 1: valuable real estate. Championships have to be defended. So I
- 21:29Speaker 1: immediately thought of the US title, which Sammy previously held,
- 21:33Speaker 1: and I thought they wouldn't, not this close to WrestleMania,
- 21:39Speaker 1: not after that great clean win he just secured last
- 21:41Speaker 1: week over Ilia Dragon, of who was not even mentioned
- 21:44Speaker 1: on the show tonight, let alone on the show. All
- 21:47Speaker 1: the more reason to slot him in somewhere else at WrestleMania.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I've already talked about that what I would do, but
- 21:55Speaker 1: that's what I was thinking. I was like, uh, oh,
- 21:58Speaker 1: this may be go into a bed place for Carmelo Hayes,
- 22:02Speaker 1: but let's see what happens. We had Charlotte Flair, and
- 22:06Speaker 1: we had Alexa Bliss against the Bella Twins. Around and
- 22:12Speaker 1: around we go. We've had so many different combinations of
- 22:15Speaker 1: these teams, and you know, the tag team Champions, and
- 22:19Speaker 1: we've had other teams. So now it was their turn
- 22:22Speaker 1: to wrestle Nia Jackson Lash Legend. They came out right
- 22:26Speaker 1: before the match started to plug their title defense this
- 22:28Speaker 1: Monday at Madison Square Garden against Bailey and Lyra Valkyria,
- 22:32Speaker 1: and then they took a seat at ringside to watch
- 22:34Speaker 1: the match. The fans treated the Bellas here as the
- 22:37Speaker 1: de facto heels, not that they were really wrestling as
- 22:40Speaker 1: heels and they're not heels, which is very weird, by
- 22:43Speaker 1: the way, because I think even Nicky Bella may have
- 22:45Speaker 1: said something about this on on the Bella Twins podcast,
- 22:49Speaker 1: because Nicki Bella had turned heel a number of months
- 22:52Speaker 1: ago on Stephanie Vvequire that she was just back to
- 22:55Speaker 1: be in a babyface as soon as her sister came back,
- 22:59Speaker 1: and they didn't explain it. There was no turn back,
- 23:02Speaker 1: there was nothing. It's like, well, now you're a babyface.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But in this match, the fans really were treating them
- 23:07Speaker 1: more as the heels. Charlotte got a hot tag late
- 23:11Speaker 1: in the match and took some time to deliver a
- 23:14Speaker 1: crotch chop towards Naya and Lash in their direction. Then
- 23:20Speaker 1: she tagged Bliss back in the Bellas gave her a
- 23:22Speaker 1: version of the old heart attack. Flair broke up the
- 23:26Speaker 1: count before Nikki threw her out of the ring. Alexa
- 23:28Speaker 1: got to roll up on Brie. When Brie kicked out,
- 23:31Speaker 1: It's the momentum sent Alexa forward refere I don't know
- 23:35Speaker 1: what the referee was doing. The referee is standing there, okay, Now,
- 23:39Speaker 1: the idea is that the referee did not see what
- 23:42Speaker 1: was about to happen. Didn't exactly work out that way,
- 23:46Speaker 1: but the momentum sends Alexa forward, lash legend from the floor,
- 23:50Speaker 1: reaches in and just punches her right in the face
- 23:54Speaker 1: right the referee. Daphne is standing right there. Now. The
- 24:01Speaker 1: idea is that the referee didn't see it. Only she did.
- 24:04Speaker 1: She was standing right there. She saw the whole thing,
- 24:07Speaker 1: but she had to act like she didn't because then
- 24:09Speaker 1: it would blow the spot. The whole point was the
- 24:11Speaker 1: referee wasn't supposed to see it. So oops, down goes Alexa,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and then Bree rolls her up and gets the pin.
- 24:21Speaker 1: So the Bela Twins are victorious. I want to ask
- 24:27Speaker 1: you guys a question, and I don't know if I'm
- 24:29Speaker 1: the only one who feels this way. Why do I
- 24:33Speaker 1: feel when I'm watching these women's tag team matches over
- 24:38Speaker 1: the last few weeks, and I'm talking primarily about SmackDown,
- 24:42Speaker 1: why do I feel like the division has actually regressed?
- 24:48Speaker 1: Like I know what Charlotte Flair is capable of. I
- 24:51Speaker 1: know what some of these women are capable of when
- 24:53Speaker 1: I see them in situations outside of these matches. But
- 24:57Speaker 1: then I watched these matches and we've seen so much,
- 25:00Speaker 1: many different combinations over the last few weeks. Charlotte Flare,
- 25:03Speaker 1: Alexa Bliss, Nya, jacks Lash Legend, Nia jacks Lash Legend,
- 25:07Speaker 1: the Bella Twins, the Bella Twins, Charlotte Flare, Alexa blist A,
- 25:10Speaker 1: round and around and around and around and around we go.
- 25:12Speaker 1: We've seen so many different combinations. None of them have
- 25:14Speaker 1: been good. None of them have been good. I don't
- 25:19Speaker 1: know if there's just some sort of chemistry issue between
- 25:23Speaker 1: all of these women. I don't know what it is,
- 25:25Speaker 1: but I actually I am watching some of these matches and
- 25:27Speaker 1: I'm like, why does it feel like we're sliding backwards?
- 25:29Speaker 1: It feels like we're regressing here in this division, Like
- 25:32Speaker 1: what is going on here? I don't understand. It's Certainly
- 25:38Speaker 1: the stuff that we have seen over these last few
- 25:39Speaker 1: weeks does not make it so that I feel excited
- 25:45Speaker 1: to see them run it back again at WrestleMania, because
- 25:48Speaker 1: we know we're all going to end up with them
- 25:49Speaker 1: back in the ring together. It's going to be four teams,
- 25:52Speaker 1: five teams, and the tag team titles are going to
- 25:54Speaker 1: be on the line. They're not doing anything on television
- 25:57Speaker 1: over the last several weeks to make me any more
- 26:00Speaker 1: cited or interested to see them run this back again,
- 26:03Speaker 1: which I thought was the point of all this is
- 26:05Speaker 1: to get people excited to see a big rematch or
- 26:09Speaker 1: a big multi team match of WrestleMania. It's the last
- 26:12Speaker 1: thing I want to see. Very strange after the match
- 26:17Speaker 1: Nia in Lash, they laid everybody out. They were about
- 26:20Speaker 1: to finish off Alexa when Bailey and lyra Velkiria, their
- 26:23Speaker 1: opponents this coming Monday, ran out to clear the champions
- 26:27Speaker 1: from the ring. Charlotte also shoved Nicki down, or maybe
- 26:31Speaker 1: it was Bri. It might have been Bri who the
- 26:35Speaker 1: announcers pointed out didn't see Lash Legend deliver that knockout
- 26:40Speaker 1: shot to Alexa Bliss. I will also mention to you
- 26:45Speaker 1: then Nicki was noticeably limping when she got back in
- 26:49Speaker 1: the ring to celebrate with Bree when the match was over.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I mean she was basically hobbling around on her right leg.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I didn't see where it happened. I mean, I'm hoping,
- 27:00Speaker 1: you know, maybe she just twisted it a light sprain.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Look, I'm not I'm not
- 27:09Speaker 1: the biggest Bela Twins fan. I don't want to see
- 27:13Speaker 1: anybody get hurt, whether you know we're this close to
- 27:17Speaker 1: Wrestlevania or any other time of year. So hopefully that's
- 27:20Speaker 1: nothing too serious. But there was a segment after this
- 27:23Speaker 1: in the back where the Bellas confronted Charlotte and Alexa
- 27:27Speaker 1: and asked them what the hell, What the hell are
- 27:29Speaker 1: you guys thinking. Charlotte told them to get to the
- 27:33Speaker 1: back of the line. You don't get another shot at
- 27:36Speaker 1: the championships. Those titles belonged to us. Nicki said, we
- 27:40Speaker 1: came back to become the tag team champions and we're
- 27:43Speaker 1: going to do whatever it takes to do so. And
- 27:46Speaker 1: it almost looked to me like Nicky may have been crying.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I don't know if it was. I don't know. Maybe
- 27:50Speaker 1: it was the red nose, I don't know what it was.
- 27:52Speaker 1: But again, hopefully it's not a situation where there's an
- 27:56Speaker 1: injury and it was just a minor thing and she'll
- 28:00Speaker 1: be fine. Not looking to see anybody get hurt here,
- 28:03Speaker 1: but also can't tell you that I'm terribly excited to
- 28:07Speaker 1: see any of this over again. I'm really not. They
- 28:12Speaker 1: aired highlights of Damian Priest in Our Truth last week
- 28:17Speaker 1: winning the tag team titles from the MFTs. And they're
- 28:22Speaker 1: in the back and Truth is talking to somebody and
- 28:25Speaker 1: Priest has no idea what's going on. He said, what
- 28:27Speaker 1: are you doing? And Truth says, I'm building a clubhouse.
- 28:33Speaker 1: The Judgment Day is back and Priest says, no, we're not.
- 28:39Speaker 1: So then jelly Roll comes in. We're getting a lot
- 28:42Speaker 1: of jelly Roll on these shows. So he comes in
- 28:46Speaker 1: and he greets them, and Truth thought that it was Dominic.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Mysterio goes, what happened to your mustache? So then Rhea
- 28:56Speaker 1: Ripley walks in, and Truth thought that she and Jelly
- 28:59Speaker 1: Roll were Dominic and Rhea so dom and Mommy are
- 29:03Speaker 1: back and I'm like, oh my god. So then Jelly
- 29:06Speaker 1: told Ria that he knows that she can beat Jade
- 29:09Speaker 1: at WrestleMania to win the Women's Championship, but he had
- 29:13Speaker 1: to go get ready for his match with Kit Wilson,
- 29:15Speaker 1: and then as he left, Truth chased after him, still
- 29:18Speaker 1: thinking that it was dom comedy. So that left Ria
- 29:23Speaker 1: and Damien. She congratulated him on becoming tag team champions.
- 29:28Speaker 1: He said it was unexpected, but he fully expects that
- 29:31Speaker 1: Ria is going to get hers at WrestleMania. Now go
- 29:34Speaker 1: handle this jade business already, so she so she smiled,
- 29:41Speaker 1: and she told him whippa and headed to the real.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, this is so bad. Oh this show,
- 29:56Speaker 1: this show, it's wea. I'm everybody. Everybody celebrate. It's wet
- 30:08Speaker 1: by time. You suck all right? So you know, I
- 30:12Speaker 1: swear nobody is happier than Rhea Ripley, or nobody is
- 30:16Speaker 1: happier rather than Damian Priest. Who see Rhea Ripley back
- 30:19Speaker 1: on this show. He's probably looking going, please don't leave
- 30:23Speaker 1: me again. Stay stay, I need you to stay on
- 30:26Speaker 1: this show. Please don't leave me. You like that? Huh?
- 30:32Speaker 1: It's wet by time, says it right there on his shirt.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Sounds like something they'd have on a shirt. It is
- 30:40Speaker 1: on the shirt. What do you think I got that from?
- 30:42Speaker 1: I can't make up something that terrible. I remember the
- 30:48Speaker 1: first time I saw that, and I asked people who
- 30:50Speaker 1: would know more than I would. I said, is that
- 30:52Speaker 1: a real thing where people go around saying it in
- 30:54Speaker 1: that way? I know I whip, but I know that,
- 30:57Speaker 1: but like it's wet by Tyler who says that? Who
- 31:02Speaker 1: says that, yes, punch mclightning. Okay, I'm Puerto Ricans, so
- 31:07Speaker 1: I know about weapon time LOL, But do you say,
- 31:09Speaker 1: does it actually said that way on a regular basis?
- 31:12Speaker 1: Do people go around saying that, Hey, it's why by time?
- 31:21Speaker 1: I don't know. Rhea Ripley came to the ring after
- 31:24Speaker 1: the commercial break. She never expected be fab in Michin
- 31:30Speaker 1: to be so desperate that they would feel the need
- 31:32Speaker 1: to stoop down to Jade Cargill's level, but it's WrestleMania
- 31:37Speaker 1: season and she doesn't care who she has to go
- 31:39Speaker 1: through to get there. So she says, I'm dressed for combat,
- 31:49Speaker 1: so why don't you come out here and join me
- 31:51Speaker 1: in the ring? And that brought out Jade Cargill with
- 31:54Speaker 1: her new baddies, Meechin and Beefab all had microphones, so
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, we're gonna get the explanation for why
- 32:05Speaker 1: they did what they did last week. So Jade said
- 32:10Speaker 1: that Ria sounds real slick for someone who got dropped
- 32:13Speaker 1: last week. They didn't join her. She said, they positioned
- 32:17Speaker 1: themselves in power and if Ria thinks that Jade's gonna
- 32:21Speaker 1: drag them down, she already knows what it is. I
- 32:24Speaker 1: don't know what that's supposed to mean. If you think
- 32:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna drag them down, you already know what it is.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. Why don't you tell
- 32:31Speaker 1: me what it is? Beefab spoke and the fans booed her,
- 32:36Speaker 1: so at least she got some heat. Now, I don't
- 32:39Speaker 1: know if that's heat, because they're just angry that she
- 32:41Speaker 1: turned on Riha ripley or I don't know if it's
- 32:43Speaker 1: heat because we don't want to hear from you. Go away,
- 32:47Speaker 1: and it could be go away heat. I'm not sure yet,
- 32:49Speaker 1: but they did boo and she called Ria a selfish backstabber,
- 32:53Speaker 1: and then Meechen got all animated and she said that
- 32:56Speaker 1: she's been grinding for decades, just like Ria. They've been
- 33:00Speaker 1: putting in the work, just like Rhea, and while they're
- 33:03Speaker 1: the ones that are forgotten, Rhea gets all the love
- 33:07Speaker 1: and attention. So b Fabs said that Jade had a plan,
- 33:11Speaker 1: and they jumped at the opportunity, and at least with Jade,
- 33:15Speaker 1: what you see is what you get. So then Jade
- 33:18Speaker 1: and Rio went back and forth. They were actually talking
- 33:20Speaker 1: over each other, which I'm of two schools of thought
- 33:24Speaker 1: on that. On the one hand, I'm sick and tired
- 33:27Speaker 1: of these fucking promos where wrestler A speaks for an
- 33:31Speaker 1: inordinate amount of time and wrestle and is insulting wrestler B,
- 33:35Speaker 1: and wrestler B has to just stand there and stare
- 33:37Speaker 1: at them and wait their turn for the other person
- 33:40Speaker 1: to finish, and then they can speak right, Like, if
- 33:43Speaker 1: you're having a let's say, frank discussion with someone, all right,
- 33:48Speaker 1: or you're cutting promos on each other, are you gonna
- 33:50Speaker 1: wait for that person to finish everything that they're gonna say, No,
- 33:53Speaker 1: you're probably gonna cut in right. It almost makes it
- 33:55Speaker 1: a little more realistic. So that's one way to look
- 33:57Speaker 1: at it. The other way to look at it, also
- 33:59Speaker 1: is if they start talking over each other the way
- 34:01Speaker 1: that they started to do here, it could be hard
- 34:04Speaker 1: to hear exactly what they're saying when they're trying to
- 34:06Speaker 1: drown each other out. So we got a little bit
- 34:09Speaker 1: of that here in this promo. I guess it's all
- 34:12Speaker 1: a matter of a personal taste. Whether you thought that
- 34:14Speaker 1: was a good thing or a bad thing. But Jade
- 34:17Speaker 1: called Ria a guest. You're not even officially on SmackDown,
- 34:21Speaker 1: you're a guest. But they talked to Nick all this,
- 34:25Speaker 1: and BFAB wants to step up, and Ria's going to learn.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Rhea said that she's going to teach Jade that actions
- 34:33Speaker 1: have consequences. Says that something that Jade can't protect BFAB from,
- 34:39Speaker 1: that's Rhea Ripley. So let's get this party started. I
- 34:43Speaker 1: don't know if party is the word I would use
- 34:45Speaker 1: for this, but yes, please, let's get the show on
- 34:48Speaker 1: the road here. As far as the explanation, it was
- 34:51Speaker 1: a pretty thin explanation as to why BFAB in Mitchen
- 34:55Speaker 1: and not only turned on Riha, but they aligned with
- 34:57Speaker 1: the woman that they were feuding with for months. And
- 35:01Speaker 1: I don't even mind the idea of them being with Jade.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Just come up with, you know, a good explanation. And
- 35:07Speaker 1: really the only real good explanation that you could go
- 35:11Speaker 1: with is the idea of if you can't beat them,
- 35:14Speaker 1: join them. We realize, you know what we're up against here,
- 35:17Speaker 1: and we have respect for Jade, and maybe you Ria
- 35:20Speaker 1: did something or said something to disrespect them, and so
- 35:24Speaker 1: between those two things, we decided, you know what, we'd
- 35:27Speaker 1: rather be on this side than on that side. Either way,
- 35:31Speaker 1: It's gonna be silly given the fact that these two
- 35:34Speaker 1: women spend months of their career, you know, feuding with
- 35:36Speaker 1: Jade car Gil. But I was waiting to see what
- 35:39Speaker 1: they would come up with here, and I'm happy we
- 35:43Speaker 1: at least got an explanation. I wasn't even convinced we
- 35:45Speaker 1: were going to get one. Honestly, I didn't even know
- 35:47Speaker 1: if they were going to put microphones in b fab
- 35:49Speaker 1: in Mechin's hands. I thought maybe they would just have Jade,
- 35:53Speaker 1: you know, do all the talking for them. So at
- 35:56Speaker 1: least we got some kind of explanation here. But you know,
- 36:00Speaker 1: Mitchen claiming that we've been putting in the work, and Ria,
- 36:04Speaker 1: you know, she's the one who gets celebrated and gets
- 36:06Speaker 1: all the attention, even though we're the ones who are grinding,
- 36:10Speaker 1: and like, I'm listening to her talk about that, and
- 36:12Speaker 1: I'm like, you're standing next to Jade Cargill, like you've
- 36:19Speaker 1: put the work in for a lot longer than she has.
- 36:21Speaker 1: You're the ones out there grinding, not her. It took
- 36:24Speaker 1: over a hundred days for her to defend her championship.
- 36:28Speaker 1: But you're okay with standing in lockstep with her, but
- 36:31Speaker 1: not Ria rip because Ria gets all the glory, not
- 36:33Speaker 1: the woman standing next to you, who is the champion,
- 36:37Speaker 1: who hasn't exactly been grinding the way that you have.
- 36:39Speaker 1: They're okay with that. So again, a little thin on
- 36:44Speaker 1: the explanation there, But whatever, I mean, this whole feud
- 36:52Speaker 1: so far, all the back and forth and everything else.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I guess we're making progress here. Nobody called the other
- 36:56Speaker 1: person a bitch this week. That's progress. Yes, I just
- 37:03Speaker 1: realized we didn't hear the b word. That's good. It's
- 37:07Speaker 1: okay to give it a rest for a week. They
- 37:10Speaker 1: went to a break, so now we know on the
- 37:12Speaker 1: other side of this break here we're gonna get Rhea
- 37:14Speaker 1: Ripley in BFAB boy. I can't wait for this. They
- 37:19Speaker 1: come back from the break, the match was already in
- 37:20Speaker 1: progress Ria and BFAB and I don't even think legitimately,
- 37:26Speaker 1: I don't even think this went sixty seconds. This ended
- 37:29Speaker 1: up being more of an angle, not really much of
- 37:32Speaker 1: a match. They ended up outside the ring. Jade came
- 37:35Speaker 1: over and threw Rhea into the ring steps in the
- 37:37Speaker 1: referee call for the disqualification. By the way, this is
- 37:41Speaker 1: another thing about these WWE Paul Kovec shows, okay, where
- 37:46Speaker 1: he loves his outside interference and distractions. How many times
- 37:51Speaker 1: did we have that tonight here on this show? We
- 37:54Speaker 1: had it here in this match. We had it. Let's see,
- 37:58Speaker 1: we had it in the US title match when Trick
- 38:01Speaker 1: Williams got involved. We had it in the Tiffany and
- 38:04Speaker 1: Julia match when Keana got up on the steps or
- 38:07Speaker 1: the apron right for the distraction there. We had it
- 38:11Speaker 1: in the tag team match between the Bellas and char LESA.
- 38:18Speaker 1: That's at least four times on this show alone. Not
- 38:22Speaker 1: every single match every single week needs to have some
- 38:26Speaker 1: sort of interference or distraction like it's out of control
- 38:31Speaker 1: on these shows, out of control so the match is
- 38:41Speaker 1: called off disqualification. And honestly, this is probably about as
- 38:47Speaker 1: long as this match should have gone between BFAB and
- 38:49Speaker 1: Rhea Ripley. I Am not going to see it here
- 38:51Speaker 1: and be upset about the fact that Rhea Ripley and
- 38:54Speaker 1: BFAB didn't go ten minutes. This went about as long
- 38:57Speaker 1: as it needed to go. Riha and Jay they ended
- 39:00Speaker 1: up in the ring. Ria got her in position for
- 39:02Speaker 1: riptide Meechin and BFAB they came over and broke it up.
- 39:07Speaker 1: BFAB mode Ria down with a bicycle kick and then
- 39:11Speaker 1: the two of them held Ria up for Jade to
- 39:13Speaker 1: lift her up and drop her for Jaded. This is
- 39:18Speaker 1: pretty bad. I mean, there's just there's no other way
- 39:21Speaker 1: to really sit here and interpret what we have seen
- 39:24Speaker 1: over these last few weeks with Ria Ripley and Jade Cargill.
- 39:27Speaker 1: I mean, this sucks. This is all very very bad
- 39:32Speaker 1: so far. I still think it's a decent spot for
- 39:35Speaker 1: Meeching and BFAB to be and it beats the hell
- 39:38Speaker 1: out of the alternative because you know exactly where they
- 39:40Speaker 1: would be if they weren't side by side with Jade Cargill.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I mean, let's be honest here, Okay, you know exactly
- 39:47Speaker 1: where they would be. So their role here they're the lackeys.
- 39:52Speaker 1: They're the lackeys, They're the gophers. Okay, they may not
- 39:55Speaker 1: be Patterson and Briscoe. Can I get you some coffee,
- 39:57Speaker 1: mister MacMahon. Okay, that's not their role, but they know
- 40:01Speaker 1: their place with Jade is to be there in the
- 40:04Speaker 1: supporting role for her. The only problem is that has
- 40:07Speaker 1: a very short shelf life. So I don't know how
- 40:10Speaker 1: long that's gonna last, but come WrestleMania, they're gonna be
- 40:15Speaker 1: coming down to the ring with Jade Cargil. They're gonna
- 40:17Speaker 1: get their WrestleMania moment as opposed to their moment in
- 40:22Speaker 1: catering at WrestleMania, which is where they would be if
- 40:24Speaker 1: they were not in the corner of Jade Cargile, because
- 40:27Speaker 1: ain't no way that Meechen or beefab are making the
- 40:30Speaker 1: WrestleMania card otherwise. So for them, not a bad spot
- 40:34Speaker 1: to be in for now. I don't know that they
- 40:37Speaker 1: have a lot of longevity in that role, but for now,
- 40:41Speaker 1: good for them. Now we go backstage. Kick Wilson told
- 40:47Speaker 1: a disheveled looking Miss he looked like he had a
- 40:50Speaker 1: rough day or a rough week. Told Miz that he
- 40:53Speaker 1: would be unstoppable with him in his corner tonight for
- 40:56Speaker 1: his match with Jelly Roll, and Miss said no. Then
- 41:00Speaker 1: he picked his shoe up and he showed him that
- 41:02Speaker 1: he had stepped in gum. The bad luck from the
- 41:05Speaker 1: curse has already begun, got gum on his shoe. God,
- 41:09Speaker 1: I hate when that fucking shit happens. Don't you hate
- 41:12Speaker 1: when that happens. I actually sat in gum once. I
- 41:18Speaker 1: just sat in gum on my suit bad enough to
- 41:24Speaker 1: step in it. I guess better that than dog shit.
- 41:30Speaker 1: See the key with the gum on the shoe. Ice
- 41:34Speaker 1: gotta rub some ice on it. That helps. So Mis
- 41:38Speaker 1: said that Wilson didn't need him. Instead, I'm gonna hang
- 41:41Speaker 1: back here, he said, where there's no sharp objects. I'm
- 41:44Speaker 1: gonna stay behind in the dressing room and I'm gonna watch.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna take notes, and I'm gonna watch your match
- 41:49Speaker 1: on TV. Wilson said, couldn't be because of the curse,
- 41:54Speaker 1: and Mis insisted that there is no curse. He said,
- 41:58Speaker 1: a curse is when lightning strikes from above, not when
- 42:02Speaker 1: you step in gum or drop your phone in your toilet.
- 42:07Speaker 1: So Ms made his exit, and then Dan Housen shows
- 42:10Speaker 1: up and he got a pop from the crowd, and
- 42:14Speaker 1: he said he wanted to mentor Kit Wilson, and Kit
- 42:17Speaker 1: went to call him toxic, and Dan Housen stopped him
- 42:20Speaker 1: before he could say it, and then Dan Housen told
- 42:22Speaker 1: Wilson that he was cursed. Now I'm sitting here watching
- 42:27Speaker 1: this show, and we were over an hour into the show.
- 42:31Speaker 1: We had to be seventy five minutes or so eighty
- 42:33Speaker 1: minutes something like that into this show. And this was
- 42:37Speaker 1: bordering on worst show of the year territory. Think of
- 42:42Speaker 1: everything that I just got done talking about. That was
- 42:45Speaker 1: the first hour plus of this show. The first hour
- 42:49Speaker 1: of the show is fucking horrendous. And so I'm sitting
- 42:51Speaker 1: here going, man, it can't get any worse. It's got
- 42:53Speaker 1: to get better, right, It could only get better from here.
- 42:56Speaker 1: It could only improve, Like I'm trying to convince myself
- 43:00Speaker 1: of this. They recapped all the brawling last week between
- 43:05Speaker 1: Drew McIntyre and Jacob fought to which ended with the
- 43:09Speaker 1: two of them falling off I say the building. I
- 43:12Speaker 1: mean there was some sort of building or structure, some
- 43:15Speaker 1: sort of edifice outside the arena last week, kind of
- 43:18Speaker 1: in the parking lot area, and there was a ledge
- 43:21Speaker 1: and they both fell off the ledge. We couldn't see
- 43:24Speaker 1: them splat on the ground because there was a white
- 43:26Speaker 1: fence in the way, but we presumed that, you know,
- 43:29Speaker 1: they splatted on the pavement. We didn't get any sort
- 43:32Speaker 1: of update on them throughout the entire week. They could
- 43:34Speaker 1: be dead for all we know, but nobody said anything
- 43:36Speaker 1: they could be just hooked up to machines and then
- 43:38Speaker 1: all of a sudden they come back to life, which
- 43:40Speaker 1: apparently they did because they're okay. They're okay, but it
- 43:44Speaker 1: took a week for us to get some sort of update.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Here we come back live. Drew McIntyre was walking into
- 43:49Speaker 1: the building and he's all bandaged up. You would think
- 43:51Speaker 1: he would be in a body cast, you know. Mac
- 43:54Speaker 1: Cardona had a chair placed on his arm and Randy
- 43:57Speaker 1: Orton stomped on the chair and mac Cardon showed up
- 44:00Speaker 1: and he had a cast on his wrist. Drew McIntyre
- 44:04Speaker 1: and Jacob Fatu fell off the side of a fucking building,
- 44:08Speaker 1: presumably onto the concrete, and they both show up this
- 44:13Speaker 1: week on the show with various bandages on their body.
- 44:18Speaker 1: It was like, there's a disconnect here somewhere. I don't know,
- 44:22Speaker 1: there's just there's a disconnect here. I don't really understand
- 44:27Speaker 1: how that works. But lucky them. I guess that they
- 44:32Speaker 1: only got away with some minor injuries. I guess some
- 44:35Speaker 1: scrapes and cuts and bumps and bruises. So Kathy Kelly asks,
- 44:41Speaker 1: how do you feel after last week? Which a pretty
- 44:43Speaker 1: stupid question. Kathy McIntyre said he was in no condition
- 44:47Speaker 1: to fight, but if Fatu wanted to start something, he
- 44:50Speaker 1: was here to finish it. And McIntyre noted how Fatu
- 44:54Speaker 1: took everything from him, including the WWE Championship, including WrestleMania.
- 45:00Speaker 1: When a man has nothing to lose, that is when
- 45:03Speaker 1: he is most dangerous. So from all of that, all
- 45:08Speaker 1: the horrible stuff that I just got done reviewing, now
- 45:12Speaker 1: it was time for Jelly Bean to come out for
- 45:15Speaker 1: his match against Kit Wilson. Nashally let Kit Wilson come
- 45:19Speaker 1: out last. He got the second entrance. So this was
- 45:24Speaker 1: Jelly's first match since teaming with Randy Orton at Summer
- 45:28Speaker 1: Slam last year, and this was the first singles match
- 45:32Speaker 1: of his career. Now, before the match, Wilson said that
- 45:36Speaker 1: Jelly crossed the line last week, so he had to
- 45:39Speaker 1: come out here and defend his mother. So we got
- 45:42Speaker 1: some more Slam poetry with Kit Wilson defending his mother
- 45:48Speaker 1: after all the horrible things that Jelly Roll said about
- 45:51Speaker 1: her last week, which I will not recap because I
- 45:55Speaker 1: do not want that image in my head. So the
- 45:59Speaker 1: fans like Jey. They were behind him, which is good,
- 46:04Speaker 1: and they kept what he did in this match limited
- 46:07Speaker 1: because again, he is not an athlete, he is not
- 46:11Speaker 1: a wrestler, So you want to make sure whatever you
- 46:14Speaker 1: have him doing, you limit it. You don't give him
- 46:17Speaker 1: too much to do. You don't want him to get
- 46:19Speaker 1: hurt or make himself look bad or make the other
- 46:23Speaker 1: person look bad. So what he did was fine. Like
- 46:27Speaker 1: I said, they kept it very limited, and I thought,
- 46:29Speaker 1: you know, Kit Wilson was just the right person for
- 46:32Speaker 1: him to be in the ring with because Kit Wilson
- 46:34Speaker 1: can go in there and he can sell for him,
- 46:36Speaker 1: and he can bump around and he's safe, right, He's
- 46:39Speaker 1: a safe choice. So he caught Wilson at one point
- 46:43Speaker 1: with a belly to belly supplex that Wade Barrett called
- 46:46Speaker 1: a jelly to belly. That's what that's the phrase that
- 46:51Speaker 1: he coined, a jelly to belly suplex. He attempted a
- 46:58Speaker 1: choke slam Wilson, though avoided. He tried something off the
- 47:01Speaker 1: top Jelly caught him into a power slam. Jelly then
- 47:05Speaker 1: tried to hit Wilson with the poetry book, but he missed.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Wilson hit him with his move. I don't even remember
- 47:11Speaker 1: what he calls it. It's not like he ever fucking
- 47:14Speaker 1: wins with it, so who cares. But he was unsuccessful
- 47:18Speaker 1: in securing the three count. He tried it again, Jelly
- 47:21Speaker 1: reversed out of it and finally hit the choke's lamp
- 47:23Speaker 1: for the win. After the match, Jelly Roll pulled his
- 47:26Speaker 1: son out of the crowd and they left together. So
- 47:29Speaker 1: he didn't look bad out there. It's the best I
- 47:32Speaker 1: can say about this. He didn't look bad out there,
- 47:35Speaker 1: Kit Wilson. He did his job just fine. He knew
- 47:39Speaker 1: what the assignment was. He went out there and held
- 47:42Speaker 1: up his end. And so this was not terrible because
- 47:46Speaker 1: sometimes when you bring it a celebrity, and WWE has
- 47:49Speaker 1: had some real luck with the celebrities they brought in
- 47:53Speaker 1: by and large over the last few years. Logan Paul
- 47:56Speaker 1: now is a full time member of the roster. But yeah,
- 47:59Speaker 1: they brought him an initial as a celebrity, you know,
- 48:02Speaker 1: bad Bunny Jelly Roll. Uh, They've they've been very fortunate
- 48:06Speaker 1: when it comes to bringing people in from the outside
- 48:08Speaker 1: and putting them in these situations. But because boy, in
- 48:13Speaker 1: the past, there are examples of people that have been
- 48:16Speaker 1: brought in andh that was a bad idea. Even Jay
- 48:22Speaker 1: Leno believe it or not. In WCW, j Leno wrestled
- 48:26Speaker 1: Hulk Hogan in a pay per view made event in
- 48:29Speaker 1: front of a bunch of people sitting on motorcycles. Sounds
- 48:33Speaker 1: like a fever dream, but that's something that really happened.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Hulk Hogan had to sell for Jay Leno. Think about that.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Jelly roll don't sound so bad? Yes, Steven and mel
- 48:49Speaker 1: Stephen emel was another one, that Stephen Emmelman. That was
- 48:51Speaker 1: twenty god Cody was still star Dust. That had to
- 48:56Speaker 1: be twenty fifteen. I remember Steven and l like a
- 49:00Speaker 1: big crossbody off the top, I think out on the floor.
- 49:02Speaker 1: I remember that. Anyway, That's the best I could say
- 49:08Speaker 1: about this. I might be more forgiving if they had
- 49:12Speaker 1: given us some actual good shit in the first eighty
- 49:15Speaker 1: minutes or so of the show. But to go from
- 49:17Speaker 1: what we got then into a jelly roll match, I'm
- 49:21Speaker 1: just like, can we get some like, can we get
- 49:24Speaker 1: some good television here? Can we get like a good
- 49:26Speaker 1: wrestling match, just so I know they know still like
- 49:29Speaker 1: how to have one? Can we can we please do
- 49:32Speaker 1: something here to like bring the show up a little bit?
- 49:35Speaker 1: Like I'm begging you please? Three hours give me something backstage,
- 49:43Speaker 1: Solo Socoa, I'm like, motherfucker, give me something. What do
- 49:50Speaker 1: they give me? What do they give me? They give
- 49:52Speaker 1: me Solo Socoa and the lantern and he's in the
- 49:56Speaker 1: back with the MFTs, J C. Matteo, tom Tonga, Tonga,
- 50:01Speaker 1: Loa Tallatanga. Everything he does for them he does out
- 50:07Speaker 1: of love. He said, he's hard on them. He let
- 50:17Speaker 1: me start that again. Wait, take a take a drink
- 50:24Speaker 1: here for a second, do a little reset. M Yes,
- 50:32Speaker 1: he's uh, he's hard on his family now. He's hard
- 50:36Speaker 1: on them because he knows how great they can be.
- 50:39Speaker 1: So then Solo looked at Tomatonga and he said his
- 50:42Speaker 1: job is to lead the family, but he can't do
- 50:44Speaker 1: that when everyone isn't on the same page. He admitted
- 50:49Speaker 1: that he went a little overboard last week, and he
- 50:51Speaker 1: apologized for doing so. He looked at Tomatanga again while asking, uh,
- 51:00Speaker 1: you know who wouldn't apologize. Roman reigns because if you
- 51:06Speaker 1: remember last week on the show, he was accused by Tomatonga,
- 51:10Speaker 1: you're behaving a lot like Roman, and Solo took great
- 51:15Speaker 1: offense to this. So Carmelo Hayes approached Toma after the
- 51:20Speaker 1: other MFTs walked away, and Hayes asked if Thomas finally
- 51:23Speaker 1: going to take his shot at the US title or
- 51:26Speaker 1: are you going to wait until Solo tells you it's okay?
- 51:29Speaker 1: So Hayes left, and then Shinsky Nakimora showed up. The
- 51:34Speaker 1: only job Shinsky Nakimora has when he shows up each
- 51:36Speaker 1: week to TV is to wait and hope that they
- 51:41Speaker 1: put the camera on Tomatonga at some point backstage, and
- 51:44Speaker 1: then he will walk up to Tomatanga. And I don't
- 51:47Speaker 1: know what his his interest is and that he has
- 51:49Speaker 1: taken this great interest in trying to convince Tomatonga that
- 51:55Speaker 1: he does not need the MFTs. I don't know if
- 51:57Speaker 1: he's trying to kind of persuade him then to become
- 52:00Speaker 1: his tag team partner. I don't know if he has
- 52:02Speaker 1: some sort of uh sexual interest in this man, I mean,
- 52:06Speaker 1: teach their own. I don't know why he has taken
- 52:08Speaker 1: such an interest, but every single week Toma Tonga turns
- 52:11Speaker 1: around in there, shit, sky nackamore, Are you gonna let
- 52:15Speaker 1: him treat you like that? Are you gonna be your
- 52:17Speaker 1: own man? Fuck off? That's what Toma Tonga should say, Like,
- 52:21Speaker 1: give me my space, man, what the this is weird? Like,
- 52:24Speaker 1: fuck off? I'm dying for him to say something like that,
- 52:28Speaker 1: like what's your deal? Man? You and me we're not friends,
- 52:32Speaker 1: like you know, we used to kne each other many
- 52:34Speaker 1: years ago, and now you're acting like you're my best friend.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Like why are you stalking me? What do you want?
- 52:42Speaker 1: I don't know. But then Talatanga came over to ask
- 52:46Speaker 1: him if everything was okay, and Thomas said, yeah, I'm good.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Then he walked away his young boy okay, yeah maybe
- 52:56Speaker 1: he I don't know, I mean to taga In exactly
- 53:00Speaker 1: as young as he used to be. I don't know
- 53:04Speaker 1: if I'd be calling him a young boy. Where was
- 53:12Speaker 1: my head during this segment? Up my ass apparently like
- 53:16Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I'm like, I see the MFTs
- 53:19Speaker 1: on my screen and my mind just starts to wander.
- 53:23Speaker 1: I start to wander, I start to hallucinate and see
- 53:26Speaker 1: things that aren't there. Carmelo Hayes finally finally some actual
- 53:38Speaker 1: wrestling on this show in the ring, waiting to find
- 53:42Speaker 1: out who would accept his open challenge for the United
- 53:44Speaker 1: States Championship, and it turned out to be Sammy's Ain
- 53:49Speaker 1: And as soon as I saw Sammy come out. I
- 53:52Speaker 1: knew exactly where this was headed. So then the lights
- 53:55Speaker 1: went out and Trick Williams comes out. Great ovation. He's
- 54:00Speaker 1: going to come down to the ring. He's going to
- 54:01Speaker 1: take a seat and he's going to watch this match
- 54:04Speaker 1: up close and personal. So Zain comes off the top rope.
- 54:08Speaker 1: At one point, Mellow caught him right in the face
- 54:10Speaker 1: with his picture perfect dropkick right to the mush. He
- 54:14Speaker 1: tried for a first forty eight, Zayn caught him and
- 54:17Speaker 1: dropped him with a stout power bomb for a near fall.
- 54:20Speaker 1: They ended up on the top rope together. Sammy hit
- 54:22Speaker 1: a superplex ahead of a second commercial break. By the way,
- 54:26Speaker 1: it's a good moment for me to give you a
- 54:28Speaker 1: little pro tip here for those of you who are
- 54:30Speaker 1: using Express VPN, as you all should be, and if
- 54:34Speaker 1: you're not, I got a good deal for you. I
- 54:36Speaker 1: got a link. Just check the description down below and
- 54:40Speaker 1: use that link. You could thank me later. But whatever
- 54:43Speaker 1: VPN you may be using, because I occasionally will get
- 54:46Speaker 1: questions from people, you know, what server should I connect to?
- 54:50Speaker 1: And I still get commercials, do yourself a favor. Connect
- 54:56Speaker 1: to a server from the Netherlands nether Li Amsterdam, somewhere
- 55:02Speaker 1: in that region that that's what you want to connect to.
- 55:07Speaker 1: That way, the only commercials you'll probably see will be
- 55:09Speaker 1: the WWE once. Otherwise you'll either get that you know,
- 55:14Speaker 1: countdown screen, countdown until they come back with that music.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do do
- 55:24Speaker 1: you know the music I'm talking about. You'll either get
- 55:26Speaker 1: that screen or you'll be able to watch the match
- 55:28Speaker 1: during the commercial break. And that applies not just to SmackDown,
- 55:32Speaker 1: to do that with raw as well telling you the Netherlands. Anyway,
- 55:37Speaker 1: not much happened during the commercial break. Hayes charged it
- 55:40Speaker 1: Zayne in the corner, but he got caught with an
- 55:42Speaker 1: exploder into the corner. Sammy had him lined up for
- 55:46Speaker 1: the Halluva kick, but he ate a first forty eight
- 55:48Speaker 1: instead and he got a close neer fall out of
- 55:52Speaker 1: that one. Hayes headed up top for nothing, butnet Zaine, though,
- 55:57Speaker 1: caught him all the way down and then reversed it
- 55:58Speaker 1: into a blue thunderbar for a great near fall. So
- 56:03Speaker 1: outside the ring. I mean that it was such a
- 56:05Speaker 1: great near fall that Trick Williams popped up out of
- 56:07Speaker 1: his chair and he's kind of pacing back and forth,
- 56:11Speaker 1: and he walks over and he grabs the US title.
- 56:16Speaker 1: So he walks around to the other side of the
- 56:19Speaker 1: ring and he slides it into the ring for Samy's
- 56:24Speaker 1: Ain to use. I guess I presume he wanted Sammy
- 56:26Speaker 1: to get himself disqualified. Sammy hands the belt to the referee.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Referee goes to dispose of the belt. Trick is up
- 56:34Speaker 1: on the apron. He accidentally nails Carmelo Hayes with a
- 56:37Speaker 1: shot that was intended for Sammy's ain, and Sammy finally
- 56:44Speaker 1: nails the Halluba kick and he regains the United States Championship.
- 56:50Speaker 1: He beats Carmelo Hayes and ends Mellow's run as champion. Tonight,
- 56:56Speaker 1: Mello did miss another great battle here between these two men.
- 57:02Speaker 1: I am said to see Melo's rain come to an
- 57:05Speaker 1: end this close to WrestleMania. Couldn't even let the guy
- 57:09Speaker 1: go to WrestleMania. So I was bummed about that. But
- 57:13Speaker 1: I am actually glad that they did the or at
- 57:15Speaker 1: least this is how I felt. When the match was over.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm glad they did the finish the way
- 57:19Speaker 1: they did and it wasn't just Sammy beating him clean.
- 57:22Speaker 1: If Sammy just went in there and did what Melo
- 57:24Speaker 1: did to Ilia Dragonov last week. Then that's it. It's
- 57:27Speaker 1: a clean loss. That's it. You're at the back of
- 57:30Speaker 1: the line, buddy. But the way they did it with
- 57:34Speaker 1: Trick punching Melo in the face, if Melo was to
- 57:37Speaker 1: go to Nick Alldos and say, hey, I want to
- 57:39Speaker 1: rematch for my championship, I want in on this a WrestleMania,
- 57:44Speaker 1: he's got a built in excuse, right. If I were
- 57:48Speaker 1: Nick All this, I would be like, you're right, what
- 57:51Speaker 1: happened out there never should have happened, and so therefore
- 57:53Speaker 1: and then I would make sure that that man has
- 57:55Speaker 1: a spot on the WrestleMania card. However, in the back
- 57:59Speaker 1: when this was over, Sammy's ain's walking, he's beaming. He
- 58:03Speaker 1: finds Nick all this and he asks him again, am
- 58:05Speaker 1: I on the WRESTLEMDIA card now or are you giving
- 58:09Speaker 1: me the night off? All This tells him, yes, You're
- 58:12Speaker 1: on the Wrestle Media card and in fact, you will
- 58:14Speaker 1: be defending your United States Championship against Trick Williams. And
- 58:21Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm waiting, and they just move on to
- 58:25Speaker 1: the next segment, and I'm like, Wow. Now we have
- 58:29Speaker 1: three weeks left to go until WrestleMania. There is still time.
- 58:32Speaker 1: In fact, next week on SmackDown, if Carmelo hey, we
- 58:36Speaker 1: don't have a shot of Carmelo Hayes backstage, either walking
- 58:39Speaker 1: up to Nick Alldos or walking up to Sammy's ain
- 58:42Speaker 1: and demanding to be inserted into this match a wrestle
- 58:45Speaker 1: Madi to make it a triple threat, that is fucked.
- 58:49Speaker 1: That is fucked. This man has carried smack then in
- 58:52Speaker 1: the way that Sammy did when he had his run
- 58:54Speaker 1: as the United States Champion, as Iliya Dragonov did when
- 58:57Speaker 1: he had his run as the United States Champion. Mello
- 59:00Speaker 1: has been holding it down on this show every single week,
- 59:03Speaker 1: getting himself over by going out there and having great
- 59:05Speaker 1: wrestling matches. This was the best run that he has
- 59:10Speaker 1: had so far, this most recent run here on the
- 59:12Speaker 1: main roster. And if you're gonna end his run right
- 59:16Speaker 1: before WrestleMania and work him into the Plan match and
- 59:22Speaker 1: make it a triple threat, because again, he kind of
- 59:25Speaker 1: got screwed tonight, not even kind of, he did get
- 59:28Speaker 1: screwed out of the championship. Then that's one thing. But
- 59:32Speaker 1: if they're really gonna leave him out in the cold
- 59:36Speaker 1: like that's fucked up. Even story wise, it would not
- 59:39Speaker 1: make any sense for Nick Aldis, Nick All, this shouldn't
- 59:42Speaker 1: even need to wait for Carmelo Hayes to come to
- 59:44Speaker 1: him asking for a rematch, like, let me ask you
- 59:49Speaker 1: a question. I find myself asking you many questions because
- 59:53Speaker 1: there's just some stuff that confounds me on these shows.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Why would Nick Aldis, who saw what happen happened out there,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: reward Trick Williams by giving him a shot at the
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: United States Championship, but leave Carmelo Hayes, the man who
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: was screwed out of the championship, out in the cold
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: when it comes to WrestleMania. Make it make sense. It
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: doesn't make sense. So I'm hoping this is rectified next week.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: I'm just saying if it's not, and it really is
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: just one on one, Sammy's ain't and Trick Williams, that
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: ain't right because if Carmelo Hayes is not a part
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: of that match at WrestleMania, Carmelo Hayes ain't gonna be
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: on the WrestleMania card. And if anybody has put the
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: work in on this show over these last few months
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: and deserves a spot. If all these other championships are
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: being defended, if all these other championships are being represented
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: on one of these two nights of WrestleMania except that one,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and now it is and he's not even a part
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: of the match, that's fucking terrible. Get him in the match.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Triple Threat, Sammy's Ain, Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams. You want
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: to get the belt on Trick Williams. I have to
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: assume that's the direction that this is headed. I have
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: no problem getting the US title on Trick Williams. Carmel
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: O Hayes needs to be in that match, and there's
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: history there between them, and I know they don't talk
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: about it a lot on the main roster, but those
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: of you who actually watched NXT when they were on
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: the show together, when they split up, there is a
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: history there, So it's not just what happened tonight. You
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: can draw on that history as well. Makes all the
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: sense in the world to work him into that match.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Jacob fought too. He was limping out to the ring
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: next to address what happened last week with Drew McIntyre
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: says he's limping, he's you know he was busted open,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: cracked ribs, and it all has to do with Drew McIntyre.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: The hell is wrong with you, he said. You try
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: to take me out and end my career, take food
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: off my kid's table. You thought kicking my teeth down
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: my throat was gonna keep me down, hitting me with
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: a car was gonna hold me down. You thought that
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: throwing me off the side of a building. Boy, this
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: is this has become quite the feud here hitting people
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: with cars, falling off the edge of buildings. Yeah. The
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: fact that this man was hit by a car and
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: fell off the side of a building and only showed
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: up with some cracked ribs is actually kind of a
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: medical miracle. I would say he's a very lucky man.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: But you thought all those things were gonna hold me down?
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: He goes, Hell, Nah, Drew, you did all that, but
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I'm still standing. I'm still here and as long as
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I've got air in these lungs, that means every week
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna dog walk. You are punk ass. Drew McIntyre
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: made his way out to speak from the stage. He
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: told fa to you accused me of a crime I
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: didn't commit. I'm already guilty until proven innocent. Right, He goes,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: you're straight guilty because you're a damn criminal. You did
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: the crime, and you did the time, and since you
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: got out, you stole my title. You stole WrestleMania from me.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: You stole everything from me. You talk about me taking
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: food off your kid's table, that's my food. He told
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Fa Tou, screw your debt, not dead kids, screw your
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: damn gil Oh my god, that way I got very dark.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Screw your damn kids, he said, just like brock Lesnar're
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: not a fan of the kids. Is Drew McIntyre. So
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: those were fighting words for Fa Tu, who started to
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: limp out of the ring. But Nick all this comes out.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: He calms things down, tells Fa Tou stay there. All
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: this said that he figured the two of them would
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: be all healed up by oh, I don't know, say
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: April eighteenth. So he was giving them what they wanted.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Do you want a match of WrestleMania, You gotta match
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: of WrestleMania. But it's not just going to be any
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: old match. The referee will only be there to count
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: the fall or the submission, no count out, no disqualification.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: This match will be un sanctioned. I don't mind the stipulation.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I think the stipulation is fine. It's basically a street fight.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: It's the same match that Drew McIntyre had with Damian
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Priest on the show last year. I thought maybe they
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: would go the Helen a Cell route just because they
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: wanted to do supposedly wanted to do a Hell and
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: a Cell with Cody and Drew, and they pivoted in
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: a different direction. So we'll just put these two right.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I mean, think about what they've done to each other.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: He said it in the promo, hitting each other with
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: cars falling off buildings, right. I mean, if that doesn't
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: necessitate Helen a Cell, I don't know what does. But
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: an unsanctioned match is fine. It's just another fancy name
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: for a Sin City fight. They'll have access to all
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: the weapons and the plunder and it'll be the same
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: results in the end. But I do want to point
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: out something very important because I've been harping on this
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: for a long time and it came out again tonight
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: where Jacob mentioned you kicked my teeth down my throat,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: and Drew McIntyre made it a point to say you
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: are falsely accusing me of something I did not do
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: and do you know why because he didn't do it.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: He didn't do it. Randy Orton did it. And it's
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: all set up for Orton for the big reveal to
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: come sometime after WrestleMania. I don't know if it'll be
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: his first program coming out of wrestlemanya. I'm not even
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: sure Orton's winning the title for sure, but coming out
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: of WrestleMania, Orton is the heel. Although good luck trying
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: to convince the fans of that this is going to
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: be one of his first programs. I think coming out
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: of WrestleMania, that's when we get the big reveal. It
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: was me, I punt kicked your teeth down your throat.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: That's where this is going. He was never Drew McIntyre,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: So backstage, jelly roll. How many segments did he have
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: on this show? He had a backstage segment with Rhea
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: and Damien and Truth Okay, so that's one. He had
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: this backstage segment here with Matt Cardona. That's two. He
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: had the match with Kit Wilson that's three, and he
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: came out of the end of the show. Four four
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: segments on this show he approached Matt Cardona. He said
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: he felt bad about what happened with Randy Orton last
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: week because he was the one who encouraged Orton to
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: go out and apologize to him. So he also said
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Cody Rhodes was on his way, and Cardona cut Jelly
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: off and told him, you tell Cody if you talk
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: to him, don't get involved in my match with Randy Orton.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna kick Orton's ass. Said he would pray for Cardona.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I think a lot of people were praying for Matt
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Cardona heading into this main event. So then after Jelly leaves,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Zelena Vega and Alistair Black show up. They sidle up
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: next to him. Zelena said that Orton and they didn't
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: look like they were talking to anybody in particular. They
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: weren't really directly addressing Cardona. They were talking about him
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: in his presence, and Zelena said that Orton calling Cardona
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: a Marcas stooge really got to Cardona. She said, imagine
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: picking a fight that you can't win. Black said to
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: imagine if the fight had been with Orton with no voices.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: He said, maybe there would have been a chance. And
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: they left and I'm like what the fuck is the
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: point of any of this. Tiffany Stratton against Julia and
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: what was originally advertised as a United States Championship match,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: and then a few days ago, all of a sudden
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: the graphic changed and suddenly it was a non title match.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: And this was really I mean, the one word that
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: really comes to mind is I'm watching this is this?
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: This was sad. The Pittsburgh crowd died for this match,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: and they had a solid match too. The match itself
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: was actually solid, but these people did not care. You
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: could actually hear Tiffany in the opening minute to the
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: match like kind of yelling for the crowd, trying to
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: get them into it, like come on, Like she was
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: trying to kind of rally them and get them, get
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: them into things, and just wasn't having a lot of
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: luck with it. But I've mentioned the Tiffany Stratton swantan Bob,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: You've heard me mention this before. She hits it in
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: a way where she waits until the very last second
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: to tuck her head on the landing. And They're been
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: a few times where I I've almost had a heart
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: attack watching her because it looks like she's about to
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: take a header right down into the mat and then
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: at the very last second she's able to kind of
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: tuck her head. This this was like the closest one yet,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: like or at least from the camera angle they shot
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: at at like I was I literally I like yelped,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: and then they showed the replane. You could see it.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: The very last second she kind of, you know, she
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: rolls her head under and I'm like, wh why you
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: are just asking for trouble. You're just tempting fate by
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: doing that. You know, I don't want to see I
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: don't want to see her go in there and break
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: her neck. But that was scary, so she hit that
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: for a near fall. So then she hit the rolling
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: sent on and she was going up top for the
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: prettiest moon Salt ever when Keana James ran distraction long
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: enough for Tiffany. When she finally did hit the prettiest
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: moon salt ever, Julia got the knees up on the
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: landing and then Julia hooked her into a roll up
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: and she pinned Tiffany. The United States Champion actually victorious
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: here in this match. Tell me again, what was the
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: point of turning this into a non title match If
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Julia was just gonna go in there and win anyway.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: I'm I'm like, I'm dumbfounded by that. Why even but like,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: you advertise it as a championship match, So when they
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: changed it, I was like, Okay, Tiffany's going to win
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: and then she'll get a title shot at wrestle Mania.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: But then Tiffany lost, So I'm not sure why this
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: had to be converted to a non title match. The
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: champion won a non title match, that's it to the
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: back of the line for Tiffany Stratton. That's the way
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: that this is supposed to work. Very weird, very weird
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Monday Night this week. It was originally when they announced
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: that first match with the USO's and the Vision, they
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: said nothing about it being a title match, and then
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: later in the week they announced that it was going
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: to be for the World Tag Team titles. And then
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: during the day on Monday, I noticed way they're not
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: mentioning the titles anymore in the preview, and sure enough
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: it turned out to be non title And then there
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: was a report that WWE wanted to keep the belts
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: on them because they were going to be at the
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: MLB on Netflix premiere on Wednesday night, and I guess
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: they wanted them there with the Belts. Meanwhile, and I
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: didn't see it, but meanwhile I heard that Jimmy wasn't
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: even there. Apparently it was Jay and Fatu. I think
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: somebody said, so. I don't know what happened there, But
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: now they're defending the Tag Belts in a street fight
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: this Monday against Logan and Theory. But they're advertising these
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: matches and then they're altering them, and I'm just thinking
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: to myself, how far down to the wire are these
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: plans coming for some of these shows, because it sounds
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: like they have an idea on what they want to do,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: and then the day of or the day before, all
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: of a sudden, it gets changed. I don't know why
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: this had to change though, seeing what they did here,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: but it was just sad to see how heatless this
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: match was. I remember when they went to commercial break,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: I was taking a moment to just put some stuff
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: in my notes, and I had to look over just
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: to see if people were alive, because it was so
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: quiet and they're working, they're doing spots and stuff and
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: just like nobody cares so Randy Orton, he was shown
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: in the back once again talking on the phone with
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: the mysterious voice on the other end of the phone
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: who we don't know who it is, and we can
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: joke that it's the voices in his head. But now,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: based on what Orton said in his promo earlier in
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: the show, if it let me tell you this, if
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: it ends up being something where oh, it was the
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: voices in his head, I want people to remember this
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: show tonight and I want you to shame WWE okay
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: for a terrible, terrible reveal because the way he spoke
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: about this earlier, he specifically said that there is one
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: voice that's not in his head that he actually does
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: listen to, So that confirms it. It's somebody. It's an
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: actual human being. It's an actual person. We just don't
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: know who that person is yet. But if they try to,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: you know, come up with something clever where oh, it's
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: the voices in his head. No no, no, no, no
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: no no. Tonight to the night where you clarified that
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: and said that it is an actual person. We just
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: don't know who that person is. I would like for
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: it to be Kevin Owens, though I'm still pulling for Ko.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: You know, the more they kind of drag this out
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: and delay. It makes me think of maybe they're he
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: keeps saying see you soon, see you soon. Is he
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: talking about WrestleMania? Is whoever this person is going to
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: factor into the finish of that match, all the more
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: reason for it to be Kevin Owens. I would love
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: for it to be ko Just don't I don't know
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: that he's any closer to having any sort of medical
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: clearance to do anything physical or be back. I mean,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: there's really been no updates on that at all, so
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: I don't know if they would want to bring him
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: back to TV if he couldn't actually wrestle, they would
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: bring him back in like a non wrestling capacity until
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: he's able to get cleared, or I don't know. I
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: don't know. Even if he was just a character on
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: the show, though, I feel like he would really bring
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: some life to the show that the show has been lacking.

- 1:15:53Speaker 1: then it was Randy Orton against Matt Cardona. Let's look
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: at the bright side of it for Matt Cardona. Okay,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: this is a second week in a row now where
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Cardona has owned the closing segment on SmackDown. See, that's
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: a positive way to look at it. Unfortunately, he came
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: off as just a complete tool on the show last week.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: They did him no favors with the way they booked
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: that entire thing where he was the only person in
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: the entire building who didn't see that coming when Randy
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: kicked him in the dick and then beat him up
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: and then the stuff with the chair on the arm
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: for twenty five seconds. So let's see if things go
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: a little bit better from Matt Cardona this week. Shall
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: we Orton entered first, then we got another break, then
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Cardona entered and right off the bat, he uses the
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: cast as a weapon, but it had little effect on
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Randy Orton, who targeted the wrist and he he just
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: beat the shit out of him for five straight minutes.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: He kept targeting the wrist. He's bending the hand backwards,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: He's throwing him into the ring post. He's stomping on
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: the rit he's doing everything. He's just kicking this guy's
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: ass for five minutes straight. And there was one little
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: glimmer of hope for Matt Cardona when he hit a
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: rough rider out of nowhere and he got a near
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: fall out of it. One little hope spot and that's
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: all he got. Otherwise he just got his ass handed
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: to him. And then finally Randy Orton hit him with
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: an RKO and then to add insult to injury, he
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: took forever to finally cover him and get the pin.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Thanks for coming, Matt, Thanks for coming. Enjoy the catering.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: It'll be fine. Just use your just use your right
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: hand to hold the fork. I know you got the
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: cast on this one. Just just use your right hand. So,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: as Orton was celebrating, we see on the screen the
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: bus has arrived and off the bus comes Cody Wrotes
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: and he is walking into the building and I believe
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: they went to a commercial break. Orton's coming or Orton
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: standing in the ring watching as Cody is walking in
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: and the officials are trying to hold him back, and
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: he's he's just got tunnel vision, right, He's got one
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: goal here is to get his hands on Randy ort
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: So they come back and the WWE champion has arrived
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: and Nick all this and security again they're trying to
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: stop him. They're all impotent, every single one of them, impotent,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: unable to perform, can't get the job done. And Cody
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: knows that they're not going to be able to hold
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: him back. What do they have on them? They have
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: no tasers. They're going to drop a net on him,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: like in a cartoon. These people are terrible at their jobs,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: completely ineffective. Walks down to the ring and the fight
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: is on. He goes right after Randy Orton. They start
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: getting into it, so again security tries to intervene and
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: they fail. Cody is gouging at the eyes, Orton's trying
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: to get away, and they end up outside the ring,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: over by the announced desk, on top of the announced desk,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: and this is just going back and forth, back and forth.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: They end up back in the ring and security finally
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: gets them separated. Cody's in one corner, Orton's in the other,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: and as I said earlier, like one breaks free and
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: jumps the other, and then they get broken up again,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: and then the other one breaks free and jumps on
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: the other, and back and forth we go, and it
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: was kind of alarming. I guess to be watching this.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Cody Rhoades the WWE Champion, his big return, one of
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: the main events are WrestleMania this year. Cody biggest star
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: in the company, right, their biggest babyface. And I'm like, man,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: this crowd doesn't seem too terribly excited to be seeing
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: what's going on here. And as I'm watching the segment
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: drag on, I realize why, Because this segment sucks. This
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: is a terrible brawl. It is a heatless, lifeless just
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: the fans are apathetic as they are watching this. Apathetic
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: and lifeless are actually two great words to describe what
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: this segment was. People didn't seem to care, and I
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: can't really blame them because as pull apart brawls go,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: this is one of the worst that I've ever seen.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: And these men are in the main event of WrestleMania.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: Like I saw what Cody and the Rock did when
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: the Rock was kicking his ass and then he took
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: him outside and beat him up by the bus. That
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: was a great segment, right, That was two years ago,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: and we've seen other segments that are very similar where
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: the fans are into it, but there's just like the
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: locker room will pour out and it's mass chaos and
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: these guys are just trying to get at each other,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: trying to bite each other, or someone's bleeding and it's like, man,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: these guys really want to kill each other. And you
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: never got that vibe watching this. It just felt like
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: they're just going through the motions here and I'm looking
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: at the clock and I'm like, boyd, the segment feels
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: like it's going on forever and it's still only ten
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: fifty seven? Did they did they come up short? Are
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: they trying to kind of stretch install for time? What
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: are they waiting for? Something has to happen here. Maybe
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: it's the person who was on the phone with Randy.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: My god, can you imagine if it ends up being
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Jelly Roll and what we saw tonight was all just
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: a swerve. Can you imagine? Actually, you know what, I
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: wouldn't put that past them. Jelly Roll goes heel at WrestleMania,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: ends up being a heel manager for Randy Orton. Uh, yeah,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: this this anyway, This was Uh, this was not good.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: But then jelly Roll finally comes out. He got his cue,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: comes down to the ring. Orton's in one corner, Cody's
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: in the other, and jelly Roll goes over to Cody
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: and he's he's again. He's trying to diffuse the situation.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: He's trying to calm things down, and Orton breaks free.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: He spins jelly Roll around and he drops jelly Roll
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: with an RKO and Orton rolls right out of the ring.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: Jelly Roll is generally well liked by the audience. But
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: what are the fans chanting? They finally show signs of
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: life here in this segment, And what are the fans
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: in Pittsburgh chanting? They are chanting Randy, Randy, Randy. They
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: are cheering that he dropped jelly Roll with an RKO.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: And I know it wasn't designed to elicit this type
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: of reaction, but I just laughed. I thought this was
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: fucking hilarious. The problem is, this segment was not supposed
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: to be hilarious. Dan Housen is supposed to be funny,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Our Truth is supposed to be funny. Kit Wilson is
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: supposed to be funny. The Miz is supposed to be funny.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Dame Cook back in the day was supposed to be funny.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Things don't always work out that way. Cody Roads and
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Randy Orton here in this segment, This was not designed
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: to be comedy, but they're trying to get Randy Orton
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: boot and it's not working. Doesn't matter whether or not
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: he's beating up Matt Cardona, he's beating up Jelly Roll,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: he's beating up Cody Rhodes, Randy Randy. They want to
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: see this man win that fifteenth World Championship, just like
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: last year. They wanted to see John Cena win World
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Championship number seventeen. You're just you're fighting against the waves here,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: and that may be the most entertaining part of the
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: entire thing. That was the most entertaining part of this
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: entire segment because what they went for, what they were
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: going for here, it didn't work. The intensity did not
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: match what we saw when Orton bloodied him up on
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: TV two weeks ago. This was a very lame, underwhelming
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: follow up, and so at least for this week, seem
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: Punk and Roman Reins they get the thumbs up. This
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: gets thumbs down because what they did at the end
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: of the show when Roman finally went off on punk.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: What they did at the end of the show on
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Monday was better than what they did here on Friday.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Maybe next week it'll flip it, it'll be different. But
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I thought they took a pretty big step back with
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: what they did in that main event segment tonight. But
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: when this show was over, I was more I was
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: more frustrated, I guess than anything else that this show.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: There's no excuse for this show to be to be
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: bad like this. There's no excuse for this show to
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: be like men. I'm looking at the time, like, holy shit,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: I can't believe we have two more hours of this
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: Where where where is just the hot angles right? Where
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: are the angles that are designed to make you really
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: excited to see what these people are going to be
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: doing in WrestleMania, or to see these two people that
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: have been at each other's throats now for all these weeks, finally,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: you know, lock up and have that big show down,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: big epic showdown at WrestleMania. Why does Jelly Roll need
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: four segments on the show. Why are matches that are
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: advertised as a title match or advertised you know in
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: some way one week suddenly change at the last minute.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: There's a lot of weird things that have been going on.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: All I want is for them to put on a
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: show that it's Look, it's hard to do a three
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: hour show and keep people interest. There is no show
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: that should be There's no wrestling show that should be
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: three hours long every week. I don't care how hot
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: the product is, and the thing is the product. The
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: WWE product is not hot right now, but if it was,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: I would still feel the same way. These shows are
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: not designed to be able to hold people's interest for
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: three straight hours. And plus I feel like with all
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: the commercial breaks and everything else in the way they
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: position them in the show, that's a tough sell anyway,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: because it just feels like as soon as you come
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: back from one, you're right into another and it just
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: kills the momentum. So that's bad enough, right, But there's
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: nothing we could do about that. You cannot watch the show.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: I don't have that luxury because we're heading into WrestleMania
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: and I'm obviously going to be watching the shows and
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: following along to see what's going on, so I could
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: talk about them and nobody would love for these shows
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: to be more interesting than me, because then I have
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: more to kind of synk my teeth into when I
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: could be genuinely excited to see where is this going
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: to go? And that's going to go and this and that,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: And then I see a show like this and it's
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: almost like they're not even trying. It's like they've thrown
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: the towel. And it's like, well, we're gonna sell forty
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: forty five thousand tickets per night a WrestleMania anyway. You know,
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: We've got Jelly Roll and we've got this person and
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: we're gonna get I show speed, and we're like, who
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: gives a shit? Like who gives a rats ass? We
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: just want a coherent, interesting, exciting product. Sprinkle in a
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: few great wrestling matches in. There. Doesn't have to be
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: just all wrestling matches, but sprinkle in a few of
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: those as well. Give us some good compelling stories. Pay
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: it off at WrestleMania or kick it Maybe there's a
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: bigger story that kicks off at WrestleMania, whatever it may be,
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: But just give me a reason to tune into these
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: shows and not want to bang my fucking head against
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: the wall. I just love, like, well, when the story
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: came out a few weeks ago about road Dog. Oh,
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: road Dog, he's not on the creative team anymore. Finally
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: SmackDown's gonna get better. I'm like, why do you think that?
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Do you think road Dog was the head writer on SmackDown?
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: Where he and I know he was the co lead writer,
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: but do you honestly believe that he was kind of
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: the brains behind the operation and he was coming up
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: with all the ideas and he was putting you know,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: he was really connecting all the dots. He was one
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: part of a larger team. And him being gone doesn't
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: change anything. It's sort of the overall vision and philosophy
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: and just the way they do things unless there's real
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: change at the top of that, and the way they approach.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Like again I mentioned all the interference and the distractions.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: It's like they open their playbook, like Kit Wilson has
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: his poetry book. They have their rule book for how
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: they do things, and they just sort of go down
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: the list. Okay, we're gonna do this. We're gonna have
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: this person interfere at the end of this match. We'll
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: have this standard pull apart brawl. We'll have our contracts
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: signing next week. It's like the WWE Greatest Hits, and
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: that just doesn't cut it anymore. It's lazy. It's lazy,
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: and it's boring. And the people watching the show they
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: deserve better because they want to invest in your product.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: That's why they tune in. If they truly didn't care,
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: if they truly just did not give a shit, then
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: they would stop watching and they would drop off. They
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: keep watching because they want to see improvements. They want
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: to see a hot show. If you give people a
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: hot show. I also think the crowds would respond better
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: as well, because it makes it even more depressing when
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: the crowds are just sitting on their hands, barely making
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: any noise. What did you think of SmackDown from Pittsburgh?
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: Twenty nine percent thumbs up, seventy one percent thumbs down. Good.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: That sounds about right. Oh, the show is fucking terrible,
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: just awful, awful television. I don't know what to tell you,
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: Like Big Damos Sayer, I don't know what to tell you.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: It's like I always say habit and hope watch out
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: of habit, and I hope it gets better. I usually
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: don't say that around WrestleMania time, though, Anyway, we're at
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: five oh five on the likes. I think the goal
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: was seven hundred. We had a high goal tonight, so
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: we're less than two hundred away, but still about two
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: hundred away if we want to do be the booker,
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: just a little update on where we are there. Hey,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Joseph Stewart, what's going on? He says? Was Mariah Carey's birthday?
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: How old is Mariah Carey? You know her voice can
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: crack glass. Happy anniversary to when Macho Man won his
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: first WWE World Heavyweight Championship. One of my favorite WrestleMania moments. Yes,
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: that was WrestleMania four, four matches in one night. We
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: could have had Randy Savage and Ricky steamboaut it was
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: taken from us. Also, Sid should have been one of
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: the top babyfaces of WWE in the nineties. I mean
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: he was for a brief period of time. Sid was
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: very much in and out. There was never any real
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: consistency with his runs. People in my family are excited
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: for the live action Moana movie and excited to see
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: the rock play MAUI again, have I seen the Daredevil
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: show on Disney Plus I have not did dances with wolves,
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: beat out Goodfellas at the at the Oscars in ninety one.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: I didn't know that. Have you seen the Nicholas Cage
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: movie Snake Eyes and Leaving Las Vegas? No? And Yes,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: Triple A is becoming my favorite wrestling show to watch.
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: The Undertaker is doing a fantastic job well, Undertaker and
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: Jeremy Borash. Undertaker is not writing the shows himself. Josh
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: Alexander just announced he's having knee surgery next week. Yeah,
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: he's gonna be out for a while. That's too bad.
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: It was a freak thing too. I saw what happened
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: when he got hurt. It was a simple, stupid, you know,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: thing in the ring. It wasn't anything high risk or
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: anything like that anyway. Joseph, thank you. I can't believe that.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: I can't believe Dances with Wolves beat out Goodfellows. That
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: sounds like an injustice give me backshot. Solomonster New Y
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: two j Trademark and the Next Dynamite is in Winnipeg.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: Uh oh hm, he may be coming back. Tommy Kalela
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: with a twenty dollars super Chess. So I was thinking
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: about the Gunther situation. He basically has the Lashly spot
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: from a few years ago, Bray got sick and Raymisterio
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: is hurt. I just hope they don't make him win
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: the Andre Battle. Oh my god, can you imagine that
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: he wins the Andre Battle Royal and his WrestleMania appearance
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: is holding up the trophy. I don't even want to
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: think about that. Rizzel awful SmackDown. Watching Sammy is like
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: watching paint dry and he wins the belt from Mellow. Also,
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: why don't these dirt sheets leak out AW spoilers? Well,
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: they're not as plugged in to AW. I think Tony frankly,
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: I think Tony keeps a lot of his shit just
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: close to the best, and he hasn't really spread it
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: around to anybody. WWE has more leaks than my roof hat.
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: A couple of years ago, Luis says the Hannah Montana
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: twentieth Anniversary Special was absolute garbage. Now SmackDown, no hate
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: on Miley Cyrus, but in what universe are we in?
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: You know? I could ask that same question that you
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: sent in a super chat talking about the Hannah Montana
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: twentieth Anniversary special, because that is not a universe that
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: I choose to live in. But apparently it was absolute garbage.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: According to Luis, now was it worse than SmackDown? As
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: long as it wasn't three hours long, There's no way
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: that it could be as bad. Leo says Keana James
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: with the US title just feels so right. Make it happen,
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: WWE BROI wouldn't it be better if Kilani and Jada
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: Parker were part of Jade's baddies instead of you know,
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: the two women who have been jobbers for three years. No,
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: I think they're actually going to want to push Kilani
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: and Jada when they get called up. I think the
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: purpose of Meechen and beefabust to just like I said,
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: Lackey's their job is to just go out there and
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: take bumps on behalf of Jade if they don't want
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: Jade to get touched and bounce around and lose matches.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: The hope is that if Klanie Jordan and Jada Parker
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: get called up to the main roster, they won't be
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: treated that way. That's the difference. Also, he says, get
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: NXT producers to produce the main roster women's matches depth
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: to dust. When you think of the term styling and
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: profile and who's the first person you think of? Rick
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: Flair or Walt Clyde Fraser Rick Flair, Thank you, dev
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: G Barry free with the Canadian six point ninety nine.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: It took me three attempts to get through that Julia
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: and Stratton match. See, I didn't think it was a
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: bad match. I just thought the crowd was very indifferent
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: towards it, and it was just it was sad to watch.
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: But you know, I mean, I told you why I
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: thought it was like that. I don't think Tiffany is
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: a great babyface and Julia. Look, I love Julia to death,
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: but she's not over. She's just not over. Lakers pats
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: rspw rewind of WWE buying WCW. Now there's an idea
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: that might not be a bad idea, Aussie of Steel.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: Is this second Julia US title run worse or are
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: they equally shit? Also fun fact, Julia has not defended
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: the title since January ninth, the week after she won
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: it back from Chelsea. Well, see, now that makes sense.
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: They made this a championship match tonight and then they realize,
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: oh shit, we can't have her defending her title now.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: We gotta quickly change it to a non title match. Yeah,
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: I'm glad you pointed that out, because, look, I pointed
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: out the fact that Jade it took one hundred days
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: for them to have her defend the championship. So let's
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: call out the US title for the same thing. And
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: to answer your first question, they're equally shit. Both runs
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: had been equally shit. You can thank WWE for that.
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: Mark one, nineteen seventy six. What's going on? Markwe says, Hey, Solo,
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: I'm fasting today for minor surgery tomorrow morning. Wish me luck.
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: I wish you all the luck, all the best. Everything's
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: gonna come out just fine. That's what I'm hoping for.
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: Luis Lopez with a five dollars super chest. So Sammy
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: took Gables back in WrestleMania versus Gunther, and now he
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: takes Mello's spot at WrestleMania. Not a fan hope Melo
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: gets added to the match. He better be. He absolutely
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: better be added to that match. There's no logical even storyline,
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: no logical reason for him not to be Arabian Night
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: Tiffany has significantly regressed. In my opinion, Tonight's match was embarrassing.
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: I don't remember the last even good match that she's had.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: It's been at least a year. I don't know. The
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: match didn't stand out to me as being that bad.
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: There are matches I will watch on this show. I
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: mentioned the women's tag team match where it looks like
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm watching it and I'm like, have
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: these people actively regressed? I don't understand what's going on here.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: There are things that Tiffany does where and not just
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: the wanton thing that I mentioned. But I think part
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: of the problem is her being a babyface or having
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: this very undefined role on the show where it's just
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: she's in this weird spot right now. It's kind of
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: hard to describe it. I don't think it's a good
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: place for her to be. I think she needs to
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: have a more well defined role on this show. Do
- 1:40:22Speaker 1: you want her to be a babyface or do you
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: want her to be a heel? I think she works
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: better as a heel my opinion, that's what I think
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: she works better as. Yeah, you know, not as many
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: house shows. You know what, You're not wrong about that.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: I absolutely, one hundred percent think that has something that
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: has at least something to do with it. They're not
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: working as much. They basically just do TV, except when
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: they do the international tours. They just do TV. MANU
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: keep Gargano far away from Champa. Champa has a good
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: thing going being lumped together with Johnny mouse face. What
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: end it and turn him into interchangeable tag guy number
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: five thirty one? Well, all right, then, Bobby's World twenty
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: eight dollars. It's the Nick Wayne super Chat. Module two
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: of management training is finished. Scored an eighty five percent
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: on the test, which for me is a little disappointing,
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: but it's a passing score. Got to keep putting in
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: the hard work. Sending my love to you, my friend
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: in the whole Green world order. Thank you, Bobby Hey.
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: Eighty five percent. I would take that. Not a bad
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: score at all. Leopoldo. Anybody know if Cody has made
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: it to the ring yet? I know when that super
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: check came in, Andre Israel, screw your kids, Drew McIntyre
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: twenty twenty six. That's better than what I almost said,
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: Prince vegeta ninety five. At what point did you come
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: around to Cody as a main event star? Was it
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: after his Dustin match at double or nothing? I think
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: that one had a lot to do with it because
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: I was such a great match. I'm trying to think
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: of there was like another aw pay per view match. Yeah,
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: I mean I think I think I was already sold
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: on it at that point because when that company first started,
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: they did a pretty good job of positioning you know,
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: all the EVP. I mean, Kenny Omega was already a
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: huge star, but they positioned them as top stars in
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: the company. The Dustin to me, if I wasn't already sold,
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: sold me on it at that point, just because they
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: told such a great story and it was such a
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: great match, and when it was over, it was like
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: an emotional rollercoaster watching that match. Venom Caitetsu with the
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: twenty five. Too bad. We never got Earl and Dave
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: fighting Undertaker, and Kane could have had Brothers of Destruction
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: versus Brothers. Hebner, Thanks for dealing with the modern wrestling
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: head on, so most of us don't have to God's
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: Strongest Warrior. Oh man, you know, well Knights like tonight
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: with this show, I don't know, man, Yeah, you know
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: who needs to be called up? Blake Monroe. Let's get
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: her on the main roster. William Valencia says, Hey, Sola
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: Monster thoughts on another solo segment where they mentioned Roman.
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: Do you think he and the usso's play a role
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: in the main event of WrestleMania. I think the usso's
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: for sure. You know, I've said I'm a little worried
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: that we're just gonna get like an og Bloodline reunion,
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: which I really don't want to say. Why are we
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: going back to that usso's. I think are absolutely going
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: to play some kind of role in that match. A
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: Philip Bowman, to quote the Deadlock Podcast to WWE, this
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: has got to be so devoid of any creative thought.
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: May God have mercy on your soul. You've ruined wrestling.
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: John Cena has achieved his objective. I see also which
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: horror movie villain would work as a wrestler, Hannibal Lecter
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: or John Doe. Hannibal Elector would be kind of an
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: interesting promo, don't you think, Well, Jake the snake in him,
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: I'll go Hannibal Lecter, tem Jen Zephyr, the tough Guys
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: here fifteen dollars, super check lead, I skip SmackDown tonight
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: for the gym. Your review, Well, that'll be much better
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: for your health. Your reviews always make my night. Also,
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: I know you had a smile on your face when
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: the Mets one unopening day. Congrats on ninety one K.
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: Thank you, brother. It's just one day. I'll take the
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: smiles where I can. But I keep telling myself it's
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: just one day. It's one game. There's a lot left
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: to be played. Libido Bell has a wrestler ever injured?
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: Vince Yes, well, I want to say one, and Undertaker
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: came back as the American badass. I mean injured. Injured
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: is a strong word. I'd say hurt. If you remember
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: when Undertaker got in the ring and he was kicking
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: everybody's ass Vince. I don't know what Vince was doing.
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: He went to go run away from the Undertaker, but
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: he did it in like the funniest way where he
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: I can't even recreate what he did. Really, I could try,
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: but like he's standing there and he sees the Undertaker
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: in front of him, so he it's like he turns
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: to God. I don't know, I can't even do it.
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: I'm not even gonna try. But like when he turned
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: back around, I think Undertaker clipped him on the bridge
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: of his nose because when Vince was leaving, he had
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: blood coming from the bridge of his nose. That might
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: be the only time I could really think of like
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: him being hurt there. Actually there was one more time,
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: the Over the Edge match in ninety eight where he
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: was the referee for all Austin and Dude Love. From
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: what I can recall, when Austin cracked him in the
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: head with the chair shot, I mean that was a
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: brutal chair shot. I believe Vince needed some dental work.
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: I think he hit him so hard in the head
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: with the chair and knocked out some I don't know
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: if it was fillings or what, but I remember reading
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: that he needed some dental work done the next day,
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: But that may be it. Falcon Star Hell yeah, Solomn
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: Monster is still live. Solo Monster is still a live.
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: Phillips says, I work at the arena SmackDown was at
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: tonight and being able to overhear Jelly role winning a
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: match was disappointing to say the least. Also, you were
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: working the show interesting. It's a good thing you didn't
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: snap any photos or video of the rehearsals before the show,
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: or else Triple H would have find you ten thousand
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: dollars like they did Tomatonga. Bossmo Jackson is with us
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: there he is. The brawls are getting old and tired.
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: Thumbs down on creative Yeah, I mean they lean on
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: them like a crutch. There's really no creativity anymore with
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: these shows. They have run out of ideas. That's why
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: they rely so much on like the mass Man, the
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: mystery phone call, like it's all mysteries and they drag
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: it out as long as they possibly can because they're
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: devoid of any actual creative ideas. That's the problem. And
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: it's so many of the same voices and the old
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: faces and the old heads in the room that have
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: been there for twenty thirty four, you know, thirty five years,
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: forty years, whatever. It's been not a surprise. Mactub favorite
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: Wrestlemanium match. Besides, it's take her HBK and Brett Austin
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: rock Hogan wrestlemany eighteen Leopoldo trick can slap a baby
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: and get whooped that trick chance. Oh the WWE audience,
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: they would just chant one more time, one more time.
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: Mactub buy or sell better overall performer orton or punk
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: punk far more interesting, just on promos alone. Bass Beer
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: is who wins in a shoot triple h or Randy Savage.
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: Oh my money's on Savage. I'm going Randy Savage all
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: day long. Devin from NJ buy Er sell, Cope Hogan
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: or Cody Hogan. We'll go with Cody Hogan. Toya ain't nice. Orton,
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: it was me. It was with me, Jacob, with me
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: all along. It was with me, I think think. I
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: mean it was me. I don't know what that means. Orton,
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: it was with me, Jacob, it was with me all along.
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: Nick Grosso with the nineteen ninety nine. I don't know
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: if you have been keeping up with NXT, but I've
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: seen clips from the Tsaria Soul Ruka feud, and while
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: the fans have really turned on Soul and sided with Zaria,
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: if there was any feud that needed a double turn, yeah,
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: I mean, I haven't really been keeping up with a
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: lot of it. Honestly. It's uh. I tried to a
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: while back. It's just not that good. Hey, be Man,
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: the champ, you are toxic, Bass Beers, says JIBBRONI roll,
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: I don't know him. He won, he won his match tonight.
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: Dry Chicken says Yukon Huskies win Tonight Men's and Women's.
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: You gotta love those husky women. H Shin, super Kick
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: Akuma five dollars super Chat. What's up? Sollo just wanted
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: to say, Hey, good job on everything in the new show.
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: Keep pushing it. Also, shout out to Chris you know
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: who you are. Thank you, Shin. I appreciate that new
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: show is going very well. More. Enough's enough? When are
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: you taking your first bump? Well? You must have. You
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: really missed out, dude, I already did it. Pops up
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: Actually as a super Chat sometimes stick around long enough
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: you may see it. You're way behind my first bump
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: around the holidays in twenty twenty four. I'm still recovering.
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: It's been a lengthy recovery. Dry Chicken says the WWE
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: creative team under Triple H loves to enjoy unseasoned chicken,
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: raw meat, and plain meal. Very plain. Chin says. Is
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: there a Zach Saber sor? And I don't know. Actually,
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: I would imagine there must be. If there's a Zach
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: Saber Junior, then there must be a Zach Saber Senior.
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: Mystic Jay. They've had all these title matches on TV
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: and yet barely anything ready for Mania, a two night event.
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: I think we're gonna get a jelly roll concert on
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: night one and then a jelly roll match on night two.
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: Dry Chicken. This is a low bar, but I would
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: rather watch the House of Torture Russell over SmackDown. I
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: think SmackDown is a house of torture Leo. If it
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: were up to me, I would turn Tiffany heel and
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: get Keana away from Julia and try Keana as a babyface.
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: I think eventually she will. I kind of like Keana
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: as a heel right now, but I agree that the
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: pairing with her and Julia that needs to come to
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: an end. It's not benefiting either one of them. If anything,
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: it's actually holding Keana back. Steve, my boy, Steve Mellow
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: never been this uninterested for WrestleMania. Terrible TV. It is, dude.
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: I mean, it's just it's it's bad. It's bad. It's
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: very bad. Not everything on the shows is terrible, but
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: there's more bad than good, and I hate it. I
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: hate that that we're heading into WrestleMania and that we
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: feel that way. Be Man. The chant Cody tonight was
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: like that family guy meme I just want to talk
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: to him. I just want to talk to him. Yeah,
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: but he didn't pull out the gun though. Also, who
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: is Trick going to face? Originally I wonder, Yeah, I
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know if all this really implied
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: that he had a match plan for him. He just said,
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: you're gonna have a match a WrestleMania, So maybe all
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: this had like a few different ideas. Actually, the idea
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: probably was gonna be the US Champion, but then Sammy
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: went and won the belt, so it became Sammy and
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: Trick as opposed to Trick and mellow Nick Grosso with
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: a nineteen ninety nine. With Punk constantly talking about Roman
- 1:54:31Speaker 1: not being able to do anything on his own, maybe
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: we get the USSOS helping Punk win because I still
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: think Punk has one more heel run in him, and
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: we don't need another Bloodline reunion. I would not mind
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: another Punk heel run, but I do not see the
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: USSOS helping him win. Actually, you know what, I shouldn't
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: say that. It wouldn't be so much the usso's helping
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: Punk as much as it might be them working against Roman.
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: If Roman is not treating them in the way that
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: they feel they should be treated. It would be a
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: ja uso decision because Jay is just he's gone rogue.
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: He was calling the shots at Roman the other night,
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: so can't rule out that they would cost Rome in
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: the match, but it would be more about costing Roman,
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: not so much helping Cmpunk Cornell Bryant. Who would have
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: thought Kaiser might have a WrestleMania match this year and
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: Tiffany might not? Her fall off should be studied closely. Oh,
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: I'll do you one better. Who would have thought that
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: Kaiser would have a match at WrestleMania on the card
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: this year? And Gunther is the one where we're all wondering, what,
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: if anything is he going to be doing on the show?
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: Eat Lightning? The timekeeper should be ringing the bell in
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: rapid bursts during pull apart brawls and postmatch beatdowns. It
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: adds a more chaotic feeling. I do miss that. I
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: think I agree with you. I think that they should
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: still be doing that. It does get a little annoying
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: the longer. I mean, can you imagine that tonight with
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: that pull up? That pull up part was like fucking
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: ten minutes long. I wouldn't be ringing the bell that
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: for that long, but I agree that was It's just
- 1:56:12Speaker 1: one of those old school things that used to be
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: done and for whatever reason they don't do it anymore.
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: It does add to like the chaotic feel of them all. Anyway,
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: that's what I got for you guys. Five ninety seven
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: was it five to ninety seven? No? Five sixty? What
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: am I saying? Five ninety seven? Five sixty, which is
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: a which is a great likes number for the actual
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: live stream, But as you can see, the wheel said
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: seven hundred. So we did not hit the goal tonight unfortunately,
- 1:56:47Speaker 1: which means be the booker will have to be delayed
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: until Monday. Perhaps hopefully we have failed, just like SmackDown
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: tonight of appropriate, but I think we had more fun
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: here than we did watching smack them, which is always
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: the goal as long as I keep you entertained, even
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: if it's at my own expense sometimes. Anyway, Episode nine
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: fifty seven of the sound Off is coming up on Sunday.
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: I'll be covering a lot of different things there not
- 1:57:24Speaker 1: you know, not a lot of hard news like big,
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: big news stories this week, but there's a lot of
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: kind of smaller ones and some Hall of Fame stuff.
- 1:57:31Speaker 1: I want to delve into so we'll get into all
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: that and take more mailbag questions, so get those on
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: in and then the next time i'll be live with
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: you here on the stream will be Monday night. Let's
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: blow it up, big final raw for the month of March,
- 1:57:47Speaker 1: and they're in my backyard. They're at the world's most
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: famous arena, Madison Square Garden. So hopefully we'll have a
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: big night on Monday and a better show than they
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: gave us tonight. So be well, stay safe, have yourselves
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: a great weekend, and I will see you back here
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: very soon for more sound off. Until then, take care, guys,
