- 0:07Speaker 1: of my life, and I will dwell in the house
- 0:11Speaker 1: of the Lord forever. Psalm 23 6. Dear Lord, you
- 0:18Speaker 1: are my God, and I will trust in you. Your
- 0:22Speaker 1: faithfulness is a shield around me every day defending me
- 0:28Speaker 1: from all the dangers of this life. You prepare a
- 0:32Speaker 1: table before me in the presence of my enemies and
- 0:37Speaker 1: anoint my head with oil. Your goodness and mercy follow
- 0:42Speaker 1: me all the days of my life. I know I
- 0:46Speaker 1: can walk through this life free from fear, because the
- 0:51Speaker 1: Maker of heaven and earth stands beside me. You hedge
- 0:56Speaker 1: me in, protect me, and beckon me to look forward
- 1:01Speaker 1: toward your kingdom. Keep my eyes set on you, Lord,
- 1:06Speaker 1: free from anxiety. In Jesus' name.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Amen.

- 1:20Speaker 1: day and make prayer a priority in your life.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Again, our goal for today's meditative prayer is fighting anxiety.
- 1:42Speaker 2: So stop for a moment and just take a break.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Head to an area with a tranquil setting that allows
- 1:49Speaker 2: for relaxation. Position yourself in a comfortable manner. And as
- 1:54Speaker 2: you shut your eyes, take a few deep breaths. Just
- 2:00Speaker 2: close your mind to stray thoughts and prepare your heart
- 2:04Speaker 2: to receive from God. Today we'll be meditating on Psalm 23,
- 2:09Speaker 2: verse 6 from the King James Version. It reads, Surely
- 2:14Speaker 2: goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of
- 2:16Speaker 2: my life, and I will dwell in the house of
- 2:19Speaker 2: the Lord forever. Now let us take some time to
- 2:24Speaker 2: just adore God. God, I praise you for your mercies
- 2:28Speaker 2: renew every morning. I worship you because your plans over
- 2:33Speaker 2: my life are for good and not for evil. You
- 2:37Speaker 2: make the sun rise and set over everyone and everything.
- 2:42Speaker 2: With your wisdom and power, you control the universe. I
- 2:47Speaker 2: sing praises to your name for your word is truth
- 2:50Speaker 2: and safety can be found within your house. Let's be real.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Life can be stressful. King David was well acquainted with
- 3:00Speaker 2: this truth. He experienced rejection and faced opposition from an
- 3:05Speaker 2: early age in life. He had to overcome social, cultural,
- 3:09Speaker 2: even familial limitations on his journey to the thrones. Even
- 3:13Speaker 2: after becoming king, David's life was not so easy. His
- 3:18Speaker 2: rule was filled with both blessings and bloodshed. He experienced betrayal, desolation,
- 3:25Speaker 2: and despair of the worst kind. Yet David praised God
- 3:30Speaker 2: and called his goodness constant and unending. In this life,
- 3:35Speaker 2: you too will go through seasons of hardship and trials. However,
- 3:40Speaker 2: you must not lose heart or let anxiety overtake you.
- 3:44Speaker 2: You have an outlet, an ever-present source of hope, the
- 3:48Speaker 2: Holy Spirit. Tell Him of your circumstances, of the issues
- 3:53Speaker 2: you're struggling with. Confess your concerns to God. Cast your
- 3:58Speaker 2: fears and your doubts upon Him. Now take a moment
- 4:03Speaker 2: to just thank God for His blessings over your life.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Thank God for guiding you through past seasons of unease
- 4:10Speaker 2: and agitation. Regardless of your circumstance, God is good all
- 4:15Speaker 2: the time, and all the time, God is good. God
- 4:20Speaker 2: is so good, He is faithful even when we are not.
- 4:24Speaker 2: So thank Him for it. Thank God for His continuous
- 4:28Speaker 2: mercy and for His help in times of need. Thank
- 4:32Speaker 2: Him for giving you peace in the middle of trouble,
- 4:35Speaker 2: and thank Him that this situation is temporary and that
- 4:39Speaker 2: you too will surpass it. God is present and he
- 4:44Speaker 2: is listening to you. Even when anxiety threatens to overwhelm you,
- 4:49Speaker 2: do not give in. Have confidence in God's promises of
- 4:53Speaker 2: goodness for your life. Reach out to God in this moment.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Ask him for his peace to calm your mind. Ask
- 5:02Speaker 2: God to give you faith. Faith to know that even
- 5:06Speaker 2: if you don't understand the process, you can trust in
- 5:10Speaker 2: his outcome for you. So ask God to steady your
- 5:13Speaker 2: heart and to give you the strength to persevere. Remember,
- 5:19Speaker 2: God has goodness for you in every season of your life.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Even in the midst of pain and confusion, God is
- 5:26Speaker 2: still in control and he is still with you. His
- 5:30Speaker 2: mercies will always be over you. So take heart and
- 5:34Speaker 2: have courage. Face the unknown with the certainty of victory.
- 5:39Speaker 2: And be blessed in the knowledge that God cares for you.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And He always will. My friends, thank you for completing
