- 3:40Speaker 3: So it was kind of like the spin off from that,
- 3:43Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And the first one was
- 3:45Speaker 3: twenty nineteen with B two K and I felt that,
- 3:48Speaker 3: you know, it wasn't my time to do it hit.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I felt that the fans and me understanding her audience,
- 3:55Speaker 3: that the beat too K Reunion was their time and
- 3:58Speaker 3: it had to happen for them, and it was I
- 4:01Speaker 3: didn't want to take away from the moment. The moment
- 4:03Speaker 3: was too big, and I set it out and I
- 4:05Speaker 3: just watched every artist from that from our time just
- 4:08Speaker 3: get the tweet, and it was so pissed, like, man,
- 4:10Speaker 3: why the fuck y'all ain't called me? Why the fun

- 4:25Speaker 3: as a special guest ship with Crazy and that's when
- 4:27Speaker 3: they already they gotta call the dog, Gotta call the dog.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Ain't no way you're doing anything Millennial without a Meal
- 4:33Speaker 3: or Chris Brown involved in that.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Motherfucker. It's just it ain't gonna work like that. Like
- 4:37Speaker 2: that's a huh, you know what I mean?
- 4:40Speaker 3: Like talk a little shit. It's true, we sold the
- 4:44Speaker 3: most for Mama lineus. We got the most hits out
- 4:46Speaker 3: of the Millennial. Is us too and I knew the
- 4:49Speaker 3: car was gonna come, and when they came, I took
- 4:51Speaker 3: the opportunity. Then Mario came back and he he cohead
- 4:55Speaker 3: Live with you, and then Gary like we gotta running
- 4:57Speaker 3: back again.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I'm like, damn, Then were gonna three times in a row.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Here we going again.
- 5:01Speaker 3: And that was when me, Trey and Marion rose and
- 5:05Speaker 3: everybody else. And how this one came about was, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 3: I put the call on the Trigger. I called Trigger
- 5:09Speaker 3: myself because Trey wasn't picking the phone for niggas. He
- 5:12Speaker 3: was not picking up the phone, he was not editating the.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Tour at all.
- 5:15Speaker 3: And Gary was like, Yo, I need you to put
- 5:17Speaker 3: your business head off and I need you to for
- 5:19Speaker 3: this call there.
- 5:20Speaker 2: I put the call there. I said, Yo, Tray, I

- 14:56Speaker 3: would probably say the motherfuckers that live in the studio.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Jermaine Dupre, he lives in the studio. Wayne time I
- 15:04Speaker 3: spent that cash one. Uh, Wayne is very reliable. You
- 15:10Speaker 3: can rely on Wayne. When I was at Cash twenty,
- 15:14Speaker 3: his room is room A.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I'm roll C.
- 15:16Speaker 3: If I'm working on some ship, I can go right
- 15:18Speaker 3: out in the parking lot, walk right over to the
- 15:20Speaker 3: other right ahead factory, give it a toll. Hey, I
- 15:23Speaker 3: need you on this. We ain't gonna question it. He
- 15:25Speaker 3: ain't gonna he only gonna says this is you gi
- 15:28Speaker 3: me on say less. He gonna find it. So I
- 15:30Speaker 3: swear to God that nigga gonna walk that bitch right
- 15:32Speaker 3: back over to you in ten minutes. And it's gonna
- 15:36Speaker 3: be probably one of the throwest verses you probably ever heard.
- 15:38Speaker 2: At least one, Oh.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Who else go crazy in the studio Chris Me and
- 15:45Speaker 3: Brown kind of worked saying like we gotta have some
- 15:47Speaker 3: party going on.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Like you know it ain't just like him. Yeah, like
- 15:53Speaker 2: like like I said, it's different, like like Wayne ain't.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Wayne ain't partied.
- 15:58Speaker 4: In the studio. Hold on, Bell, I don't want to
- 15:59Speaker 4: fucking the story.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Will go ahead.
- 16:01Speaker 9: Say what you was trying to say from Mother Hendricks experience,
- 16:04Speaker 9: Well say that first nigga do saying like this is
- 16:07Speaker 9: Chris Brown, and I ain't telling them what these niggas
- 16:09Speaker 9: is doing.
- 16:11Speaker 7: You're talking about this like you know, I don't want
- 16:12Speaker 7: to know this.
- 16:14Speaker 5: I just seen some reports outs today here.
- 16:18Speaker 2: What's the vibes though?
- 16:19Speaker 6: So y'all got ladies in there?
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just I think for any artist that's a
- 16:23Speaker 3: part of the life side, I really live a culture
- 16:25Speaker 3: that really lived.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And heat and breed.
- 16:26Speaker 3: This ship that we do, from the night life experience
- 16:30Speaker 3: to being on stage to just really inherited would come
- 16:32Speaker 3: with this type of ship. This energy me Chris and
- 16:36Speaker 3: and you know a drizzy it's certain niggas that got
- 16:38Speaker 3: that fan base. You know, my god, No, them niggas
- 16:40Speaker 3: got motion, like just straight motion. And our studio sessions
- 16:43Speaker 3: reflect that it's hard for me to make a female
- 16:48Speaker 3: having club record without with just being my engineering there,
- 16:53Speaker 3: Like we can't do this and the women be letting
- 16:55Speaker 3: me know what she ain't gonna let me know, just
- 16:58Speaker 3: about the vibing and the drinks going around, and they
- 17:00Speaker 3: repeat certain ship. I'm like, oh, yeah, we got us one.
- 17:02Speaker 3: You look at all look at all twenty of them,
- 17:04Speaker 3: every twenty, look at all twenty.
- 17:06Speaker 4: To look at it.
- 17:06Speaker 2: They dancing and hooka going and ship they fucking with this.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Hold on the Hendrid experience. Don't be like that all four.
- 17:13Speaker 6: So all four were to alright, I's front the guy.
- 17:18Speaker 7: Don't worry the talk after this, you know, but you're
- 17:20Speaker 7: thinking you gotta have them.
- 17:22Speaker 2: You gotta have them vibes, man, So you know that's
- 17:24Speaker 2: that's just me. I can't you know, certain records.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Ye, I don't want nobody in the stuper with, but
- 17:28Speaker 3: I'm about to get it cracking and make some popping
- 17:29Speaker 3: ship like A used me to track me a brown guy.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's hooga going on.
- 17:34Speaker 3: His Neflix shots going on, and it's just a five
- 17:36Speaker 3: like which is five and no.
- 17:38Speaker 2: For sure show definitely appreciation for real, Yes, most definite.
- 17:43Speaker 1: One time makes a noise about while pulling up to
- 17:44Speaker 1: the city.
- 17:45Speaker 2: One man, we outside that right, we outside?
- 17:49Speaker 7: Now where we might be here?
- 17:51Speaker 4: Yeah, moon in help me know.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Are you coming out tonight?
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yo?
- 17:54Speaker 5: Think a camera?
- 17:56Speaker 7: But ship.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I think so?
- 17:59Speaker 1: You you mean good?
- 18:04Speaker 5: That good said you had twenty following you now, But
- 18:08Speaker 5: that's a meat on that.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Ain't you just there?
- 18:10Speaker 4: You're not a feather fly?
- 18:15Speaker 1: I got.
- 18:19Speaker 7: Hey when a nigga do this.
- 18:22Speaker 5: And the boy you like?
- 18:24Speaker 6: I like being there.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Gott you got a millennium to her. I'm just I
- 18:33Speaker 2: wanna be out.

- 20:01Speaker 7: Best point Guard? Mess up John Stockton by far. He
- 20:05Speaker 7: was just a little bit more crafty. Everybody thought he
- 20:08Speaker 7: was dirty, but we was just stupid. We just didn't
- 20:11Speaker 7: know how to plane. It took me six years of
- 20:14Speaker 7: figuring him out. And then when I figured him out,
- 20:16Speaker 7: when we beat him in the Western Conference finals.
- 20:19Speaker 4: I figured him out.
- 20:20Speaker 7: I figured out I can't keep doing the same thing
- 20:22Speaker 7: I do with him and try to overmatch him. I
- 20:24Speaker 7: gotta play the same way he played, and I gotta
- 20:27Speaker 7: just every time I pound him, he'll fall and take
- 20:29Speaker 7: a charge. Then I started saying, no, I know he
- 20:32Speaker 7: gonna hit. He gonna think I'm hit him twice, but
- 20:35Speaker 7: I'm gonna hit him one time, and the I'm gonna
- 20:36Speaker 7: step off, and then he shoots a jumper in his
- 20:38Speaker 7: face and do everything and then face him up and
- 20:40Speaker 7: go around him.
- 20:41Speaker 4: He couldn't deal with.
- 20:42Speaker 6: Me that day.
- 20:43Speaker 7: And then when I figured him out, it was a
- 20:45Speaker 7: little bit different. And then, you know, like everybody know today,
- 20:49Speaker 7: I idolized him a lot. You know what I'm saying.
- 20:51Speaker 7: He's like one of my best friends, and you know,
- 20:53Speaker 7: and it was just I really love playing against players
- 20:59Speaker 7: like that, you know what I'm saying, Because you got
- 21:01Speaker 7: me more of an IQ of the game, and John
- 21:05Speaker 7: Stock and Jim Hardaway, Kevin Johnson, Rod Stricklandkie Blaylock, people
- 21:12Speaker 7: like that. I wanted to play against men, you know
- 21:14Speaker 7: what I'm saying, because they gave me more game and
- 21:17Speaker 7: maybe more of a better basketball player.
- 21:19Speaker 6: For sure.
- 21:20Speaker 1: We got to talk about Oakland, like we said, you
- 21:25Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, it's a lot of talented point
- 21:28Speaker 1: guards come out of Oakland.
- 21:30Speaker 7: Uh.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Obviously y'all had a conversation recently on another podcast, and
- 21:34Speaker 1: y'all was talking about top guards in Oakland, and we
- 21:37Speaker 1: brung up Dame Lillard, Jason Kidd and you and I
- 21:42Speaker 1: went with Dane, that's my that's my class. That's the
- 21:45Speaker 1: guys I grew up playing against. I think Simba said
- 21:50Speaker 1: simber Symbol might have he said he everybody else says you,
- 21:58Speaker 1: and I've seen what you said your response. I love
- 22:02Speaker 1: for you to elaborate a little more response.
- 22:05Speaker 5: It made sense to me.
- 22:07Speaker 6: I see the og ship.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Yah, but you where you really start because obviously, yeah, dang,
- 22:12Speaker 1: my guy. You know, Dame, that's our guy. But when
- 22:15Speaker 1: you start breaking down, like hold on, I averaged twenty points.
- 22:18Speaker 1: The simple it was over there said like, yeah, because
- 22:22Speaker 1: people forget.
- 22:22Speaker 7: Any highest what you're said. People forgot how I score.
- 22:25Speaker 7: People think about my defense. Yeah, y'all got to understand, man,
- 22:28Speaker 7: I was scoring like for eight traight years, I was
- 22:30Speaker 7: scoring over twenty points a game, you know what I'm saying,
- 22:34Speaker 7: And then I was getting down, locking down people and
- 22:36Speaker 7: then averaging eight assist in three steals.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Gotta understand that that that's that's where the game goes.
- 22:42Speaker 7: And people don't understand I scored over like twenty one
- 22:44Speaker 7: thousand point People forget that.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Yeah, overscore. They they overlooked that.
- 22:50Speaker 7: But what I say is about my two youngsters, right, Jay,
- 22:54Speaker 7: I raised him. You know what I'm saying, y'all gotta understand.
- 22:57Speaker 7: Jay didn't start scoring into the years of his career, right.
- 23:01Speaker 7: So if we break it down, Jay is a better
- 23:04Speaker 7: PASSWORD than me. You feel what I'm saying. Defender he's not.
- 23:08Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. Scor he is not. But
- 23:10Speaker 4: he's a great IQ guy. You know what I'm saying.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Dame is my youngster. You know what I'm saying. We
- 23:17Speaker 4: can't put Dame in that.
- 23:18Speaker 7: Situation right now because he's not fulfilled all the things
- 23:21Speaker 7: that he's done. But he's made his mark on the
- 23:23Speaker 7: NBA as a shooting and scoring and Dame is a
- 23:26Speaker 7: little bit different to point guard than us, you know
- 23:29Speaker 7: what I'm saying, because his error came a little different.
- 23:32Speaker 7: It's about scoring here now, it's not about passing the
- 23:35Speaker 7: ball getting the other people into the game. Jason was
- 23:38Speaker 7: a better rebounder than both of us, you know what
- 23:42Speaker 7: I'm saying, So it's a little bit different than what
- 23:44Speaker 7: we do. Dame didn't steal the ball like we stole
- 23:47Speaker 7: the ball, so it's a little different than what we're
- 23:51Speaker 7: talking about. Eras it's an era thing.
- 23:54Speaker 4: I get everybody has their.
- 23:56Speaker 7: Opinion about a lot of stuff. But I just say
- 23:59Speaker 7: where front from Oakland, you know what I'm saying. And
- 24:03Speaker 7: she agreed. We breathe that, and thats just the way
- 24:05Speaker 7: we're different.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I'm the o G.
- 24:08Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying. So we did a little different.
- 24:10Speaker 7: You guys didn't watch me as much, but you just
- 24:14Speaker 7: know who I am.
- 24:15Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. Y'all watch me as much.
- 24:17Speaker 4: Now you are. It'll be like that. But it was
- 24:26Speaker 4: like you.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Is like.
- 24:31Speaker 5: I played.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I played against hy and I understand that.
- 24:35Speaker 7: I always tell people it's about an era what y'all did.
- 24:39Speaker 7: That's why I don't like people to ask me about
- 24:41Speaker 7: a goat, because a goat ain't gonna work for me
- 24:44Speaker 7: because y'all didn't play at the same time as each other.
- 24:47Speaker 4: So I can't tell you about a goat. You know
- 24:49Speaker 4: what I'm saying. All of us was good.
- 24:51Speaker 7: You feel what I'm saying, So you just think about stats.
- 24:54Speaker 7: That's why people go with a goat. They think about stats.
- 24:57Speaker 7: They say, oh, you want this, mean you want that?
- 24:59Speaker 6: Man?
- 24:59Speaker 4: But did he play against him? Did he get down
- 25:01Speaker 4: at him like that?
- 25:02Speaker 1: Now?
- 25:02Speaker 4: They didn't.
- 25:03Speaker 7: Then too many plagugainst Larry Byrd, one of the coldest
- 25:07Speaker 7: little motherfuckers I ever seen him on what you're talking about?
- 25:11Speaker 7: You know what I'm just saying. Man, You know we
- 25:14Speaker 7: didn't play against Wilt Chamblin and Kareem or Dul Jabbar
- 25:17Speaker 7: who couldn't stop a skyhook, and and and Will Chamblin.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Everybody bringing Will Chamblin's records. Feel me.
- 25:25Speaker 7: They bringing all these records and they talk about, well
- 25:28Speaker 7: he was in the seas or whatever, Well he was
- 25:30Speaker 7: twenty two twenty one. Silva's the same. You know what
- 25:34Speaker 7: I'm saying, So we don't do goats here, man, I
- 25:36Speaker 7: don't you know what I'm saying.
- 25:37Speaker 4: I don't do goats.
- 25:38Speaker 7: So, but what the point guard thing in Oakland, them
- 25:41Speaker 7: three was pretty good. We were us three was pretty
- 25:44Speaker 7: damn play basketball, and we and two of us is
- 25:48Speaker 7: in the Hall of Fame in top seventy five. Dame
- 25:50Speaker 7: is already on the top seven five. He's gonna be
- 25:52Speaker 7: in the Hall of Fame. We're doing the thing.
- 25:54Speaker 4: You know, Dame might be might score more points in
- 25:57Speaker 4: both of us, but it is what it is, you
- 26:00Speaker 4: know what I'm saying.
- 26:01Speaker 7: And I think when they go to New York and
- 26:02Speaker 7: say that stuff about the point gods, you know, we
- 26:06Speaker 7: got the point gods over here and this West.
- 26:10Speaker 5: It's another. It's a trio like that. L A l
- 26:16Speaker 5: A got some point going top seventy five.
- 26:20Speaker 7: But I'm saying, if the two made the top seventy five,
- 26:27Speaker 7: b d is is my youngster, which if he would
- 26:30Speaker 7: have got hurt, he would have been you know what
- 26:33Speaker 7: I'm saying. But if we all three, if we played
- 26:35Speaker 7: them three and have been about yes, don't understand understand
- 26:40Speaker 7: though Paul Pierce is from Oakland, California, too, he was
- 26:43Speaker 7: born in Oaklen, California, So we got another top.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Yeah, Paul, where's that?
- 26:51Speaker 1: You know?
- 26:52Speaker 7: Paul Piers and grew up around around the corner from me.
- 26:54Speaker 7: I grew up with his brother and now he was
- 26:56Speaker 7: moly when he was eleven the pall Now, yeah, I
- 27:05Speaker 7: tell you at him like he ain't no l a boy.
- 27:08Speaker 7: He grew up.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Eleven.
- 27:13Speaker 7: So let me let me break it down. That's the
- 27:16Speaker 7: way the game go, you feel. So, yeah, So we
- 27:20Speaker 7: got a lot of top seventy five.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 27:24Speaker 6: So you was who like showed you the way coming
- 27:28Speaker 6: up in Oakland, Like who put the ball in your hands?
- 27:31Speaker 7: My daddy really real, you guys, my daddy coach everybody.
- 27:36Speaker 7: We're talking a everybody. Every one of these guys, y'all.
- 27:40Speaker 7: Y'all were talking about my daddy coaching and touched hands
- 27:42Speaker 7: on So they brought me into that. I really I
- 27:46Speaker 7: really idolized George Gervin, who is my stepdad now like
- 27:50Speaker 7: my step pops to.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Now, but that's coming up in the hood, and OK,
- 27:54Speaker 4: my daddy.
- 27:54Speaker 7: Was the one who put hands on me and touched me,
- 27:57Speaker 7: you know, and he touched a lot of them me
- 27:59Speaker 7: coach Jay. You know, Dame came a little too later
- 28:03Speaker 7: because he was in the later, but he played against
- 28:05Speaker 7: my daddy and my daddy's teens and stuff like that.
- 28:08Speaker 6: But that was it.
- 28:09Speaker 1: You know.
- 28:09Speaker 4: You gotta understand.
- 28:10Speaker 7: We had b Shaw, Yeah, Antonio Davis there, Greg Falls,
- 28:15Speaker 7: we had all them. Cliff Robinson at the player y'all forgot.
- 28:21Speaker 7: Bill Russell was from Oakland. Paul Solis is from Oakland.
- 28:25Speaker 7: He didn'et have a lot of basketball.
- 28:28Speaker 6: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 28:29Speaker 5: You know that, don't part about that. This that's Pops. Yeah,
- 28:34Speaker 5: in the city.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Bro, everybody heard heard about his dad a lot.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Man.
- 28:39Speaker 4: He reminds me of my dad a lot. Your dad
- 28:41Speaker 4: reminds me of my dad a lot. And my dad
- 28:51Speaker 4: did the same thing. So but you know, it wasn't
- 28:54Speaker 4: just about basketball, my pops.
- 28:55Speaker 7: My pops, you score around the schools and DC dudes
- 28:58Speaker 7: shooting dice over there, say, oh go there go my
- 29:01Speaker 7: Daddy's they they're gon.
- 29:02Speaker 4: Miss Page's white white escalator.
- 29:04Speaker 7: Well whatever, whatever, man, Let's jump over the fence and
- 29:07Speaker 7: get up body here, man, because he's gonna get at us.
- 29:09Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. My daddy put life in
- 29:11Speaker 4: a lot of people.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Man.
- 29:13Speaker 4: He told him how to cook, told him how to
- 29:15Speaker 4: do every other things.
- 29:16Speaker 7: And that's what I thought about why I went into
- 29:18Speaker 7: coaching now while I coach you young guys now, because
- 29:21Speaker 7: I want to make them men. Everybody ain't gonna make
- 29:24Speaker 7: it in basketball or profession. They got to understand that
- 29:27Speaker 7: their lives is been more and more than sports. Their
- 29:30Speaker 7: life is everything because they're gonna be a parent at
- 29:32Speaker 7: one time too, and you've got to graide somebody. And
- 29:36Speaker 7: that's what I always tell them, And that's what that's
- 29:38Speaker 7: why I got into coaching, because I want to tell
- 29:41Speaker 7: them that and understand that you can't always be.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Who you want to be, but you can be who
- 29:47Speaker 4: you want to be a different work in a different aspect.
- 29:50Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
- 29:51Speaker 7: You could be a lawyer, doctor or whatever and make
- 29:54Speaker 7: an impact on anybody's life.
- 29:55Speaker 4: And we got to understand that.
- 29:57Speaker 5: Yeah, and that's what I will tell you as well.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Big him up. He coaches the alma mater, you know
- 30:01Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 30:02Speaker 1: So the impact you have on them kids, not even
- 30:04Speaker 1: from a basketball standpoint, just show like you can be
- 30:06Speaker 1: something in life where you can move like you can
- 30:08Speaker 1: have these morals and be successful other avenues. Is very
- 30:11Speaker 1: important because we don't got that much representation our community.
- 30:13Speaker 7: Absolutely, and that's what we got to always be big
- 30:17Speaker 7: on when my daddy gave it to me, but then
- 30:19Speaker 7: God told him to pass it on to me and
- 30:22Speaker 7: keep it going, you know what I'm saying, because we
- 30:24Speaker 7: got to catch these young kids because his mental health
- 30:26Speaker 7: stuff is really killing us right now.
- 30:28Speaker 4: They don't know how to respond to people and say, Yo,
- 30:32Speaker 4: I know you helping me. Let me let you help me.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Let me tell you about my situation.
- 30:37Speaker 7: Because I can get a lot of these kids out
- 30:38Speaker 7: of these situations and get them into some help programs
- 30:41Speaker 7: and do the things that they have to do. But
- 30:43Speaker 7: you have to give them some support because none of
- 30:46Speaker 7: them really grew.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Up like that.
- 30:47Speaker 7: They only grew up with a mama. Me and Jeff
- 30:50Speaker 7: grew up with a daddy. See, our daddy was a
- 30:53Speaker 7: big partner life. Most of the people didn't grow up
- 30:55Speaker 7: with the pops like that. So we got to understand that.
- 30:58Speaker 7: And most of my guys who I did, didn't grow
- 31:00Speaker 7: up with dad.
- 31:01Speaker 4: He's like that.
- 31:01Speaker 7: They grow up mamas where they can go on the
- 31:03Speaker 7: streets and do whatever they wanted to do any time
- 31:05Speaker 7: of their life. And my daddy was there to take
- 31:08Speaker 7: take responsibilities for him. So we have to understand that.
- 31:12Speaker 7: So we got to give them that support, got to
- 31:14Speaker 7: get into it.
- 31:16Speaker 6: I definitely want to ask you to uh Sean Kent
- 31:19Speaker 6: from our state. He's Indiana, you know what I mean?
- 31:21Speaker 7: Our court Indiana, Indiana.
- 31:24Speaker 6: Yeah for sure, right man, you know, I know all
- 31:30Speaker 6: of us want to ask you, man, how was that?
- 31:31Speaker 6: Playing with him?
- 31:32Speaker 5: Man? Like that was crazy? Crazy? What turn this out?
- 31:45Speaker 4: Listen, man, let me let me tell you all about that.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Everybody talk about this Live City.
- 31:49Speaker 7: No no disrespect to uh CP and them and all that.
- 31:53Speaker 7: We were the first ones with Love City. Me and
- 31:56Speaker 7: Sean was the first one to get it like that,
- 31:58Speaker 7: you know what I mean? With him for seven years
- 32:02Speaker 7: was amazing. Me and him are partners now in the
- 32:05Speaker 7: cannabis business and all that stuff I see shot on
- 32:08Speaker 7: a regular basis. Man, and playing with him and becoming
- 32:11Speaker 7: a friend with him is more important than that. That's
- 32:14Speaker 7: how a chemistry comes together, and that's how we did it.
- 32:19Speaker 7: And people just don't understand. I think, and I always
- 32:23Speaker 7: tell Shannas I said, if we wouldn't have got our
- 32:25Speaker 7: ego messed up, and his ego messed up. If he
- 32:28Speaker 7: would have stayed with me more years, he'll be a
- 32:31Speaker 7: Hall of Fame by now, you know what I'm saying,
- 32:33Speaker 7: because we'd have made a bigger dynasty.
- 32:35Speaker 4: Than what we did. We were one of the two
- 32:38Speaker 4: one of the greatest duos ever played with each other.
- 32:41Speaker 7: And what I think, and I'm trying to get him
- 32:43Speaker 7: in the Hall of Fame now for what he's done
- 32:46Speaker 7: with me, you know what I'm saying. So I just
- 32:50Speaker 7: think I had a blessing to play with a person
- 32:52Speaker 7: with that much talent because I can just throw the
- 32:55Speaker 7: ball up to him and he would go get it anywhere.
- 32:58Speaker 7: But people don't understand how good he was with the
- 33:01Speaker 7: basketball and shooting in the Midchigan in the mid in
- 33:04Speaker 7: the mid range game, and it's back to the basket.
- 33:07Speaker 7: He was a beast, you know what I'm saying. And
- 33:09Speaker 7: so people didn't really understand that about how much freak
- 33:13Speaker 7: ability he had. Man, you feel what I'm saying. He
- 33:16Speaker 7: had a freak ability that nobody really really knew.
- 33:19Speaker 4: That he had.
- 33:20Speaker 7: But if you see it every time y'all watch the
- 33:22Speaker 7: highlights of all our games, he did some stuff that
- 33:26Speaker 7: was so incredible to me.
- 33:27Speaker 6: Man.
- 33:27Speaker 4: I used to be like, Wow, you know I'm playing
- 33:30Speaker 4: with this this dude.
- 33:31Speaker 5: We used to see the lobs doing Yeah.
- 33:33Speaker 7: Yeah. I usually you always He's always telling me, Man,
- 33:37Speaker 7: give me a challenge today. Man, throw it somewhere where
- 33:41Speaker 7: I own. You don't think I'm gonna go get it?
- 33:42Speaker 7: And I was just throwing up there and He'll go
- 33:44Speaker 7: get it.
- 33:45Speaker 6: Was that instant chemistry though, it was.
- 33:48Speaker 4: It was what happened was in eighty nine.
- 33:51Speaker 7: I was in college and he was just coming out
- 33:53Speaker 7: right and Sonny's drafted him and they wanted the point guard.
- 33:57Speaker 7: And then Bernie Bickerstaff seen me and he said, I
- 34:01Speaker 7: think this is a kid that we're gonna get.
- 34:03Speaker 4: So he started telling Sean to watch me, and Sean
- 34:06Speaker 4: I started watching me, and I was in college.
- 34:09Speaker 7: They hit me in every now and then, and then
- 34:11Speaker 7: they they didn't have a chance to get me at all,
- 34:14Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying. And then all of a
- 34:16Speaker 7: sudden they food around and didn't make the playoffs and
- 34:19Speaker 7: then got lottery and.
- 34:21Speaker 4: Their balls was a chance of what Dallas was this year.
- 34:24Speaker 4: They get the cool flags.
- 34:27Speaker 7: Their chances with twelve percent to get the number two
- 34:30Speaker 7: pick or the number one pick, and they food.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Around and got the number two picks.
- 34:34Speaker 7: Wow, you asked, and I knew I wasn't gonna go
- 34:38Speaker 7: no lord and one or two and New Jersey wanted me,
- 34:42Speaker 7: but they wanted a point guard and a big man,
- 34:44Speaker 7: and Derrick Coleman was coming out, and then Kenny andershonw
- 34:47Speaker 7: was gonna come out next year. So I went and
- 34:49Speaker 7: told him, don't draft me. You can get Kenny the
- 34:52Speaker 7: next year. So I wanted to go to Seattle. So
- 34:56Speaker 7: they drafted Derrick Coleman and then I went.
- 34:58Speaker 4: I went number two to Seattle.
- 35:00Speaker 6: Yeah, so he was a part of the boys ship early.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 35:07Speaker 5: Ain't real, bro, Ain't no way Dallas get that big.
- 35:12Speaker 4: It happens, man, hey.
- 35:15Speaker 7: Man, they crucified my boy and man man because he
- 35:21Speaker 7: he traded Luca Man. But you know, a sudden, the
- 35:23Speaker 7: batn't even worse when all the mamas got all them
- 35:26Speaker 7: injuries and all of a sudden, big back bank. No know,
- 35:33Speaker 7: I went into one of them all crazy man, pay
- 35:37Speaker 7: ten dollars and got a lottery. What I do I
- 35:41Speaker 7: get hit for the bill.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Got the boy boy boy man. Listen, that's one of
- 35:51Speaker 1: my favorite NBA moments. Man that they showing that Dravrom. Yes,
- 35:55Speaker 1: I'm like they cheating.
- 35:55Speaker 5: Man, ain't no way supposed to have, no way it's
- 35:59Speaker 5: supposed to happen.
- 36:00Speaker 7: I knew he was going to a whack team, was
- 36:03Speaker 7: a team that was going to be losing, And all
- 36:05Speaker 7: of a sudden, I said, Man, you hit the lot
- 36:08Speaker 7: at the lottery and hit the lot.
- 36:10Speaker 6: And then those teams are at the bottom of the lottery.
- 36:13Speaker 7: He their chances were z it's.
- 36:17Speaker 5: Not fair that zero Dallas to get that pick and
- 36:22Speaker 5: they went to the finals. Last year.
- 36:25Speaker 7: That was they was in the finals. They lost the
- 36:28Speaker 7: Boston You feel what I'm saying. But you know what
- 36:33Speaker 7: I feel for my boy j Kidd as a head coach,
- 36:36Speaker 7: I love it. And then I feel for Nico Man.
- 36:39Speaker 7: Nico was my rep at Nike. That's like a little
- 36:42Speaker 7: brother than me.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Man.
- 36:43Speaker 4: He always looked up to me like that. So I
- 36:46Speaker 4: feel for him because what he took. You know what
- 36:48Speaker 4: I'm saying.
- 36:48Speaker 7: People don't understand. He's the president general manager. He can't
- 36:52Speaker 7: make them calls on his own. Owner has to make
- 36:56Speaker 7: that call. He can't just say I'll make the call
- 36:58Speaker 7: because he's gonna get he's going to get fired. So
- 37:02Speaker 7: all you fans out there messing out of him like that,
- 37:04Speaker 7: get up out of here with that. It wasn't his call,
- 37:07Speaker 7: man to make that decision. He made a decision on
- 37:10Speaker 7: what he was told to do or what it was
- 37:12Speaker 7: it was supposed to be done, and that's what they did.
- 37:15Speaker 4: So I'm happy for him. What's gonna happen.
- 37:18Speaker 7: You get Kyrie back after this injury, man, which he'll
- 37:21Speaker 7: probably come back in January or something like that, and
- 37:24Speaker 7: they'll be rolling.
- 37:25Speaker 4: They'll make it up there, make a thing ad come back.
- 37:27Speaker 7: What it is, Get all the guys get healthy, because
- 37:30Speaker 7: if they whole team get healthy, it's gonna be a beast.
- 37:34Speaker 4: That it's gonna be a beast.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Speaking of the finals, and we all watched the last dance,
- 37:39Speaker 1: I want to ask you on this show, how did
- 37:41Speaker 1: they feel knowing you going to the finals against Michael Jordan.
- 37:45Speaker 7: In ninety six? That was great man. You remember I
- 37:47Speaker 7: got on I got on the cover of Sports illustrating
- 37:52Speaker 7: and saying mission impossible. I just want the defensive Player
- 37:55Speaker 7: of the year, first point guard they ever do it,
- 37:57Speaker 7: and it was just something but people didn't know I
- 37:59Speaker 7: got hurt. I tore my calf muscle, and I really
- 38:03Speaker 7: would and couldn't move. What I did was I went
- 38:06Speaker 7: in there, and they found a solution. They found a
- 38:09Speaker 7: little miracle, miracle thing to do. They got my leg better.
- 38:13Speaker 7: I wrapped it up a little bit, and then all
- 38:15Speaker 7: of a sudden, you know, it's a miracle, you know.
- 38:18Speaker 7: So then I started playing and I started feeling better
- 38:21Speaker 7: and better and better. Then we got down too much
- 38:24Speaker 7: and then I just start saying, let me guard it.
- 38:26Speaker 7: And he was averaging thirty three at the time, and
- 38:28Speaker 7: then I started making it a pest for him. I
- 38:30Speaker 7: started making it a pets for him, and then I
- 38:32Speaker 7: broke it down to twenty three. And then what coaches do?
- 38:37Speaker 7: They knew I started becoming a problem, so they had
- 38:40Speaker 7: to make to solve the problem.
- 38:42Speaker 6: What do you do?
- 38:43Speaker 4: You solve the problem? So Jordan was taking it personal
- 38:46Speaker 4: with me, which I wanted to happen.
- 38:49Speaker 7: And then you know, Phil Jackson said, nah, let me
- 38:52Speaker 7: put somebody bigger on him and distract him and make
- 38:55Speaker 7: it a problem for him, and he put Pipping on me.
- 38:58Speaker 7: And Pipping is a bigger player than me. He was
- 39:00Speaker 7: six seven, he could be he's mobile. He was there
- 39:03Speaker 7: and it was taking a toll on me. It took
- 39:05Speaker 7: a real toll on me to try to score and
- 39:08Speaker 7: guard Jordan at the same time.
- 39:09Speaker 4: And it took a toll on me.
- 39:11Speaker 7: And then by the time the sixth game came, we
- 39:13Speaker 7: had broke it down the three to two. That sixth
- 39:16Speaker 7: game came on, I got a little fatigue, you know
- 39:18Speaker 7: what I'm saying, and they took us out. You know
- 39:21Speaker 7: what I'm saying.
- 39:22Speaker 4: It is what it is. It just took us out
- 39:24Speaker 4: of the game.
- 39:24Speaker 1: But it was just good Buffy who fast to see that, Like,
- 39:27Speaker 1: that's a hell of a matchup, like to hold y'all
- 39:29Speaker 1: against one of the players that we called it go
- 39:31Speaker 1: Like you said, that situation, that just got.
- 39:32Speaker 5: To be dope for you in that moment. It's like,
- 39:34Speaker 5: I'm here, you know what.
- 39:37Speaker 7: It was easy for me because of my mindset. I
- 39:39Speaker 7: thought it was always I wanted to play against all
- 39:41Speaker 7: the time. You remember, they were seventy two and ten,
- 39:45Speaker 7: we were sixty four and eighteen. Y'all forgot that we
- 39:49Speaker 7: were the number two team in the league at the time,
- 39:52Speaker 7: and we beat him. We beat him out of that
- 39:54Speaker 7: one tent out of that ten. So it was like
- 39:57Speaker 7: I just wanted the competition. I just wanted to play
- 40:01Speaker 7: the beast. You know what I'm saying.
- 40:02Speaker 4: I don't straight away from nobody.
- 40:04Speaker 7: Man. When I was played, my daddy always showed me, Man,
- 40:07Speaker 7: if your leg ain't broken in off, get on the
- 40:09Speaker 7: floor and get it.
- 40:10Speaker 4: And that's what I did. I just went and got it.
- 40:12Speaker 4: And he was always the one to take the competitive
- 40:16Speaker 4: to me.
- 40:17Speaker 7: I love it.
- 40:18Speaker 5: Yeah, Well, how did you respond when you see him laugh?
- 40:20Speaker 7: Like?
- 40:21Speaker 5: I know you compare. You probably was laughing too, I
- 40:24Speaker 5: laugh right.
- 40:26Speaker 4: I said it is. I wouldn't even Jeff wouldn't even
- 40:28Speaker 4: respected him if he didn't say that.
- 40:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I wouldn't even respected him to say anything like that,
- 40:34Speaker 7: unless because it's his it's his documentary.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't care.
- 40:39Speaker 8: Man.
- 40:39Speaker 4: We all knew what the game was and was whoever whatever,
- 40:44Speaker 4: it's good, we knew what it was.
- 40:45Speaker 6: Nah.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Listen, man, o g We are honored. Man. We appreciate
- 40:50Speaker 5: you pulling up on this. Man, it's been a pleasure.
- 40:52Speaker 6: Listen.
- 40:53Speaker 5: Man, we can't wait. Some things in the works, man,
- 40:54Speaker 5: we can't wait to see that happens.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Man.
- 40:56Speaker 5: We ain't gonna say too much.
- 40:57Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, Yes, you know I got it.
- 40:59Speaker 4: I got it all. Get you know what I'm saying.
- 41:01Speaker 7: I'm gonna get it man. Anytime y'all want me on
