- 0:30[SPEAKER_06]: and we're also joined by classics of my first dungeon, Shenukh Deserra.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, I was also in the game, you asshole.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I forgot.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not out of it.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_06]: I did forget that.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_06]: I now, I'm just trying to remember if Adam was part of that game.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think you were.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_02]: It was so... How do I mean?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_06]: It was actually all fun at the Emperor.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_04]: I say it was not part of that game.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_06]: But what I did for you is that you also ran a campaign of death match island for me if that was incredibly fun That we still need to finish.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and that's important because both played 68 and death match I were written by today's GM Tim today
- 1:13[SPEAKER_06]: Go to her.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_06]: Welcome to the show.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_06]: Thanks for having me.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_06]: It's great to have you.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_06]: You're living in the future out in New Zealand.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_06]: So we've been told that Monday is looking good.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so we can enjoy it.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_06]: It's a lunchtime energy.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_03]: I made that.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_06]: Tell you, we just had some dinner.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_06]: So we're going to be slowly dying down throughout the recording.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_03]: Just for every performer one.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_06]: winding down, you really want energy to dip to its minimum, right, it's like a flyback to me.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's a real sleepy game.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_06]: All right, well Tim, it's great to have you here.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_06]: We're excited to have you here to run Blade 68 for us.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to go ahead and turn it over to you to kind of introduce the game, tell us a little bit about it, and then guide us through some character creation.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds great, thanks, Brian.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, Blade 68.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's a supplement expansion follow-up to blades in the deck.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: our blades in the dark, of course, kind of a 19th century industrial fantasy game about ghosts and demons and lightning barriers.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: And so Blade 68 is 100 years later.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of the swinging 60s.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's still this fantasy world, but you live in a bubble.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Everything's groovy, and you're still kind of doing crimes, and yeah, I don't know.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of the vibe.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: Cool, that's impeccable.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so we'll start with a bit of character creation.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Does anyone particularly want to go first?
- 2:46[SPEAKER_03]: I nominate Jay.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: So Jay, you've been nominated.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_03]: OK. That's how it works in here now.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I have I have like three whole concepts.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: Do I should I say them?
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: Should I give like my top one and then pass it around?
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, basically like I don't want to give three concepts if everyone's got one character, then I'm just taking up a bunch of time.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_06]: I think I think give us one word to describe each and then we'll vote on what the word that we think is most interesting.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Can I have three words for each?
- 3:21[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, have one word for each, you can have three to five words for each.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_04]: So I guess we'll go into double digits.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_04]: We're good.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: Um, okay, my first concept is daughter of a priest.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_02]: That was four words.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_04]: Don't know if I said I said it as long as it was in over 10 or more.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_04]: Don't ever priest is very Madonna and I like it.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_02]: All right, don't worry.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: My other concept is big guy named Tiny.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's my favorite trope in any case.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_06]: We love a big guy named Tiny.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't have a, I don't have a catchy one for my whole character, but his name would be auto.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like a UTO.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_06]: It's cute too.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: So those are my three.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_06]: I'm into a big guy named Tiny, you can't even go wrong with big guy named Tiny.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's my Hound concept for like my playbook.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: I've got Severo C. and Hound.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: Who's a butcher?
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: Oh damn, okay, like this, yeah.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go tiny.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's the other hand, who's kind of the PI sort of character follows leads falls in love.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: It gets punched a lot.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of something like that.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: The guy named Tony.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: You choose a heritage, which sounds like you've already done so Ciberus.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then you choose a background.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: I picked trade for, and because I was looking at Severos, and there was an option for a butcher in the in the book.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: So I was kind of excited by a big butcher who's a really nice guy and as a covered in blood most times.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: And then you already have some action dot to sign, but you can put four more wherever you want.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, one dot maybe that reflects your heritage of being from Civeros and one.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: There reflects your background of being a butcher and then the other two.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, should I say those are just do it and then we'll just do it.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and I get four, sorry.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, four.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: Over and above and then choose one special ability.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: Right on.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_06]: Man, Tim, I got to say this character creation like one sheet is really nice.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's so good.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's really good.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's such a time.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm taking echo pet, by the way, for my special ability.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: Because he does have a cat named Bumblebee.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: And the cat's really cute.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it kind of gives it special powers, right?
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: Do I have to pick one?
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: Gaines of paranormal.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you do circle one, but I'm going to pick mind link because I want to see through this cat size.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: Lovely.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's some suggested context, friends and rivals, so choose one for a friend and one for a rival.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: My rival is going to be Xam Street Kid.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_06]: I like the idea that it's Xam College Street Kid, and that's how you're at first.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, I'm Xam Street Kid.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_04]: I pictured a small, like, the front of the class.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's just a little chef.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_06]: He's a great vegetarian.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_06]: So my favorite joke from any TTR Reggie was a kids-on-buy game that Elite ran for us.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_06]: And there was a kid that was like, waxed in Kid Reporter.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_06]: And then he had a sister who was like, Annabelle, kids secretaries.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_06]: Never got it over.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_06]: How funny kids secretaries.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I love that.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: Amazing.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: Sam and then a friend.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go Hendrick the veterinarian as my friend.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: Fantastic.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: And actually, as I held you get two friends, because you were...
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: I had two friends.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go chadrily at the secret agent.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think I've sliced her ham or whatever, but I hate it the way I said that.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: Just writing down slices to him.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: perfect.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, there's a few more steps because we're just doing a one-off it.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: We probably don't need to go over it, but it's quite vast and stuff.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: And you can think about what you look like and so on and we'll get into that when we start.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just describe characters and stuff.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: I guess the final thing to go over is keys.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: So these like personality traits that you hit for XB.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: Usually you can only hit one each session, but for a one-shot, I'd like to let people hit a key
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, success.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: So if there's like a character trait, you really want to hit the session.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, cool.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: Then you can do something cool later on where you kind of flip that character trick.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: There's some just a keys on the sheet at the bottom Yes.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you can just make up your own.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe you don't need all four.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe think, yeah, pick a couple.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: I picked three.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: I have romantic, lonely and stubborn.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: Perfect.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: That is tiny, the hand romantic,
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have a playbook in mind?
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have three three wood concepts you want to finish?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_06]: Or for just playbook.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_06]: I was looking at how and so I'm going to get rid of that one.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_06]: And I was looking at Swinger or Intellectual.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_06]: But the two genders.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_06]: I was I was all in on Swinger and just being like a party Schmuser guy, but the second I saw in the intellectual try not to break at this time any flashback to give another crew member just the right gadget before the score causes zero stress and I just love to try not to break at this time is so much fun.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_06]: So good also mentalist to like deduce trivial detail like just do a Sherlock Holmes bullshit.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_06]: That sounds great to me.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm going to do intellectual.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh, all right.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_06]: So that's your playbook.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_06]: And then here to do you have a heritage in mind?
- 9:07[SPEAKER_06]: I'm deciding between just kind of like, looking ahead to backgrounds if I want to be, I either want to do a wrist-to-cratt or a accountant.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_06]: And I think if you're really, really, I think, I always think about characters.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_06]: I try to think of like, what's one line that can kind of define them?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_06]: And I think his is like, you just got to follow the money.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, it comes differently from the account and like conspiracy theorist account versus the aristocrat.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: Whoa, conspiracy theorist account, and just love the conspiracy theorist.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_07]: I really, I love a guy who can kind of talk fast.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_04]: He's a little bit really excited.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_04]: That is your vibe.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_06]: I'll do Akaros.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of the Western Imperial power.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of the Europe of the city, I guess.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, my favorite.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then the background is accounting to where you go with the aristocrat.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm going to go.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to go account.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Accuracy Accountant.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: So then put your four action dots and choose a special ability.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: Carry on with that.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: But do you have any thoughts on friends and rival?
- 10:17[SPEAKER_06]: I am going to do friends accursed, a professor who's been fired.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_06]: She looked too much into stuff, and then I kind of like penny a debauched theorist.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, really?
- 10:32[SPEAKER_06]: As my rival, yeah.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if she has different conspiracy theories.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, you guys argue over conspiracy theories.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_07]: She knows something, and she's not telling me, okay?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_04]: She is and you just don't believe it.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_07]: No, that can't be the truth.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, all you gotta do is follow the numbers.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_07]: Okay
- 10:53[SPEAKER_07]: numbers can't lie.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_07]: They can trick you.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_07]: They can go around in circles like a zero row.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_07]: You see what I'm saying.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: So two year dot's in special ability.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: We're kind of skip vise and you can do how you look and all that stuff a bit later.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: But uh, key.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have any keys?
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're kind of leaning towards a gambling for sure.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_06]: Nice.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, wow.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_06]: These are, these are very like, okay.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_06]: So gambling obligation weird.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_06]: And it would you have getting fucked up on a thing that you kind of got to do.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, gambling, obligation getting fucked up.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: There's something about the fact that you described them as an accountant.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's just, it's really vile to me.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: I'm having a really hard time.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_06]: In my head, they were like, and they saw too much.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_06]: They got too deep into the numbers.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_07]: I got deep enough.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_07]: And now they know something.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_06]: Now they know just how corrupt the world is.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, boy.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: Those things you were reading were the vice types, but if you look right at the bottom, there's the keys down the bottom.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and the one touch the wrong thing.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_04]: I, you did.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: I told you.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: Since teeny, teeny ticks, but if you want to...
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: Again, don't expect from those, but one or two or three sort of character traits, you can also think about it and we'll come back to it.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_06]: I will do, man, every part of me wants to be adding magic, but this guy is not adding magic, eccentric.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_06]: There we go.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_06]: That's interesting.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_06]: That's a busy one.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's probably enough.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: You can choose some more if you wish and so any time you feel you've portrayed or acted to one of those keys during the session, you can just say so and you map one of the boxes next to it and get one XP and if you do that three times then you can turn that key later.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a core to try and remember how you took centric and determined.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: Who wants to go next?
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: Can I ask a quick question before you're sorry, actually?
- 12:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's not what this podcast about.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I had.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_08]: Go ahead.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_02]: Um, when we're marking our abilities.
- 12:55[UNKNOWN]: Hmm.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: Can we mark two and one in at one ability or do they have to be sorry, not abilities skills?
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, the dots.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: You came back to in one action.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: They just got past three.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: I can't go past three.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: Cool.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: Excellent.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Have a you want to go.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go with operative sort of secret agent vibes.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have a heritage background in mind?
- 13:19[SPEAKER_04]: I do.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_04]: I, if I'm pronouncing this wrong, sorry, take a rose.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_04]: She's an alien town.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_04]: She has three eyes.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_04]: One is always closed, but such that it's like, were you winking at me or was it?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_04]: Does she have two eyes?
- 13:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's very confusing.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_04]: It's almost like an optical illusion.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: How's the third eye positioned like?
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not what you think.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's not what you think.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_04]: It's hard to say.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's hard to say where it is.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: What, what do you already do?
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to say.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_04]: It's just, if someone else wants to try to describe where it is, that you like, wait, but does she have a third eye?
- 14:00[SPEAKER_04]: I just, it's hard to say.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_08]: Wait, then how do we know you're winking at us?
- 14:04[SPEAKER_08]: I'm so confused.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_06]: You, you and, it's one of the things, it's hard to say, but also you do know.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_06]: You know.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, all right, great.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: And Becrupt?
- 14:16[SPEAKER_04]: I think, performer.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_04]: She's a background dancer, specifically.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_04]: Never in this spotlight.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_04]: Always blending into the crowd.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: Good, yeah.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: Blending him with a weird eye.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: Never like a line or all of a sudden.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_04]: Look, he got this.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_04]: This is so cool.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: No, he's not backing back up dancer wink.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_08]: Her back's turned the entire time.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_04]: But the lead does something.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_04]: You're incredible, you're like, whew, what?
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: Amazing, all right.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then put four more dots.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: So you could choose one, do you think kind of comes from your type of rosy background?
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: One from your backup dots, the background, and then two more whatever you like.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_04]: And this is in the special abilities.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, no, sorry, that's the action dots on the on the right.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: So you used that with Hunt and Two and Prale.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: So you can put one.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, nice.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_04]: Okay,
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: No more than three anywhere, and then pick a special ability.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: Brian, something else you should think about is your SPACMIND Assistant, which is like,
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: kind of an AI sort of thing except back when that was interesting and not bad.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: This stuff on the sheet about that, but mainly choose what it's good at.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: So research analysis or ingress, which is like hacking.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: And also whether it's like small, like wristwatch sized or like a big 60's room size computer.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_06]: Oh man, every part of me wanted it to be like a calculator, and then you said room-sized computer.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_06]: And I see the answer, that's to be room-sized computer.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that uses punch cards.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_06]: Not the punch cards.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_04]: Got to get those ones in zeros.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_04]: Special ability, I have to go with sleeper agents.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_04]: Love it.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_04]: Where I get to just claim that an NPC has been working for me the whole time.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: That wasn't really good.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_04]: I know best by minor NPC.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_06]: You just did it to the big bad at the end.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_06]: Just actually.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_04]: Actually.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_06]: I oceans 11 the whole camping.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_06]: That's so cool.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: The other special thing you should pick is a backing faction.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: So as an operative, you have some kind of like, spy background?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yes.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: So you are part of the crew and doing crimes, but you also secretly work for some other faction.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, you don't have to pick one specifically, but do you have a vibe of like, are you sort of more the CIA, or the KGB equivalent, or there's also a section six, or like the men and black kind of paranormal,
- 17:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I feel like men in black vibes of paranormal stuff.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: So under back infection put six to six, six to five.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so they can help you in various ways.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: We'll kind of talk about it during the game, but basically in a flashback, they might have helped you during the mission, but a 16-on-a-roll or giving you some equipment or sorts of things.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: And then a longer campaign,
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: They would kind of ask for things in return and that whole thing would develop.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: But obviously, it's a one show.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: So see how much that comes into it.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: But there is definitely something.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: So you're a member of the crew that you're also sort of secretly working for the Ghost Police, I guess, Ghost First.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First, Ghost First
- 17:50[SPEAKER_01]: And in a longer campaign, if you pursued that eventually, you would get their prestige abilities.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: So for them, you get the ability to wipe people's memory like the men and blisters.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, shit.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_04]: That's so cool.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_04]: If I was winking...
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: But they do remember the third eye.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be a dream.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: And friends and robes?
- 18:14[SPEAKER_04]: I think my friend is going to be Percy the cat burglar.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_04]: And my rival is going to be Harani Ankayat, a diplomat.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: Cool.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and keys, do you have any a key or two?
- 18:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I'm going to go with, uh, blunt, cold, and fearless.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: Whoa.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_04]: We're better with ghosts, that's what he wants to do.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, alright, cool.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure, no.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Hello.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, dealers, choice, I guess, what's left?
- 18:54[SPEAKER_01]: What are you thinking?
- 18:55[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so it's actually funny, Brian, because I also wanted to make an intellectual aristocrat for that.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_06]: You could do it in a aristocrat, we could have two intellectuals.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_04]: No one would be from rival things.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_06]: I know what I'm doing, no everyone's not on.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_04]: I know you've never created a character before, so let us know what you're doing.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's my first time playing a game.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_06]: Real quick, if one tells Shenuquant they should do, I'll just take turns.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: She loves that.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_08]: She loves that.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_08]: I'm gonna play a radical.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_08]: Ooh.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_08]: Nice.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_04]: I knew you would.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_08]: Shut up.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_08]: Cameron, have you?
- 19:39[SPEAKER_04]: I knew it.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_08]: That is the most me choice I do.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_04]: It is the most huge choice.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_08]: And then I'm going to choose my heritage as a ruvia.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_08]: Cool.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, major world power occupying the desert region to the south.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_08]: Isolationists.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they kind of the third super power, but they're not because they're more isolationist than the up part of the Cold War situation.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_08]: I like that huge background.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of background.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_08]: The background is a risk of crap.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to be I'm going to be old money.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: old, many red cool of it.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_08]: You don't get those often.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_08]: Money radical.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_04]: They're trying to return to the old ways.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_04]: No, you don't get those.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_04]: That's what they're radical about.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_08]: The world's not what it used to be.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_08]: want us to be more isolationist.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: So you start with three dots, put four more in your actions in the right column and then choose a special ability.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: So the radical is kind of political agitator and they get a bunch of abilities around the revolution and also a bunch of abilities around like exposure to explosives and stuff.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: So that's their whole deal.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_08]: to, okay, I feel like for a one shot, the special ability I'll take is, and correct me if this may not come up as much, but total dedication, when you roll a desperate action, you get plus one dice to your roll, if you also take minus one dice to any resistance rolls against those.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, that's great.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, okay, six, six, six.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so I'll do that.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_08]: And do you have any thoughts on friends or rivals?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, don't need them.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_08]: I think for a friend, I'll take, I just like it because of the plundle, a surgeon for
- 21:52[SPEAKER_08]: And then arrival, I will say Delian, a fireworks technician, I blow stuff up better than this guy, and it's his job.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_08]: He's mad about it.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, we can do the other stuff in a bit, maybe a key or two would be good.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm going to say charismatic and passionate.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's everything for everyone.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: This is kind of a one-trot.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think we need to do like the full crew thing, but it might be fun just to pick a crew, just to kind of have the flavor.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you all have looked at this.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, there's a whole lot of crew creation thing, which I don't think we'll get into.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know, as we kind of think about these four characters, so we've got an Ruvian radical charismatic and passionate, an operative, blunt, cold and fearless, so both kind of political and different ways I guess, then an eccentric, accurately accounted intellectual, and tiny the butcher, the house, who ties the stuff together?
- 23:00[SPEAKER_04]: It was the real, it was the real, it was the real, it was the real, it was the real, it's the real.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_04]: I finally look at the love, time, time, time.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_04]: And you're all love, tiny.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_06]: I imagine tiny, like, when two of us are fighting, like, picks us both up by the screw up.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_06]: And, like, sets us down in chains and just holds us down into our resolve our issues.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: Tiny is in a wrong calm, all that everyone else is in a spy thriller.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: So, the six crew types that you might be, so there's dealers who acquire and sell a legal product, which might be drugs or it could be black market goods or contraband or anything else.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: There's the hit squad who kind of just like Hitman and Assassins, like the video game, militants who are activists pushing for revolutionary change.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: Racers who are kind of, well, smugglers and, yeah, racist.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: Shadows who might be thieves and might also kind of be like espionage specialists like people who do kind of surveillance and, um, yet intelligence gathering and that kind of thing and those sort of freelance spaces, but they might also just steal many.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: So that's shadows.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: And then Utopians who are kind of the weird one who are like a new age cult who think they're making the world a bit of place, but actually they're on this dark path to some kind of weird
- 24:18[SPEAKER_06]: Whoa, so it's like shadows and militants personally.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, shadows feels fun.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of easy to see anyone could steal things.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's do some shadows.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we've got a crew of shadows.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think that you're on the highest into the spectrum or there's going to espionage into that spectrum?
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: or is that like an internal conflict within the crew?
- 24:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_06]: There's a constant power struggle.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, every time we try to do S.B.N.R.J.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_08]: blows something up, and it's like, they know we did it now.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, let's just get a special ability for this career.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: So you could just synchronize watches.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: which means you can do assist and sit-up actions, regardless of distance.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: So it's really good if you want to coordinate stuff.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: Thieves with the code.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: So if you complete a score with no deaths, you get plus one infection with the local citizen release.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of the Robin Hood sort of thing.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: Sleepy times, you all get free tranquilizer rounds, don't get the duffle bag, which basically just lets you have a free flashback to have a duffle bag with something useful
- 25:36[SPEAKER_08]: That's good stuff, wait we each get a flashback or it's one collect once a crew, okay together.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: Once a bit of a score you can flashback to an acquired as it roll you get plus two dice so it should go pretty well, but the flashback and the down time activity of free so you basically get it like one or three.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, Tim, how much somebody do I have to give you to give me my own flashback and the stuff.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm sure we can arrange something.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, but what if I flashback for a duffle bag full of duffle bags?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_06]: We're wishing for more wishes.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_06]: We're wishing for more genius, guys.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: I thought you were going to say a duffle bag full of tranquilizers, and then we could have sleepy time also.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: You could do that.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_01]: They could definitely do it.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's so funny.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it's only a contact for the crew.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: So you could pick Malloy, a ministry clerk or clerk to pin you on where you from, called well, an art for your bloom, a collector, Vera, a switchboard operator, Kesin Hotel Concierge, or Tarnish and Information Broker.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_04]: like hotel concierge a lot.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_04]: They just know everything.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_04]: They've got all the intel.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I feel like between hotel concierge and switchboard operator both feel very John Wick.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
- 26:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_04]: I honestly was thinking Grand Budapest or Tell.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I'm not that bad.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_06]: That divine actually fits a little bit.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_04]: I was just thinking what they're trying to break about a jail and it's all of the guys calling each other.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, like, please hold.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like if you combine John Wick and Grand Budapest Hotel, we might as well play a week and date.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I love Hotel Concierge.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: that's really funny okay so then yeah none of you have that written down a friend of you so try to remember the duffel pick because I probably won't it's going on for you and duffel bag that's the route I'm gonna raise to grab your duffel bag I think I'd cool was in charge of the duffel bag I'd do the charge of the duffel bag yet inside we have you're all carrying duffel bags but only one has something in it
- 27:51[SPEAKER_04]: And it's the cup, guys, the ball and cup game, where it's like, who knows, we're all so CG, we might have switched it around.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then since we're doing it right at the time, I think we should do, I don't know if you have that character PDF, the creation PDF, but on the, on the last page of that is character questions and usually,
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: You would go around and ask a bunch of these, but since we're doing a one short maybe we could just do one each.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so these are just kind of questions that Felicia, how you know each other in the background of the crew.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: Um, why don't we just go down the list and order so we'll start with the hand.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, so you pick one of those questions and ask it to the group and then someone else can say, oh, that's me and kind of Felicia's out a little bit.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, fun.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'm drawn to which one of you poured out your sorrows to me at the bar last week.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: No way.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_08]: Not a chance.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_08]: You wish.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: I was gonna, I was gonna warn you that whoever is, is a volunteer and for this, I am gonna make it weird.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, I'm gonna make it weird.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'll take it.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_06]: What's your character's name again?
- 29:03[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, backster.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_06]: If anyone, uh, one of my favorite rules of all time is the 1960 Academy Award winner, the apartment by Billy Wilder and I.L.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_06]: Diamond.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_06]: And so this is just a CC backster, the main character.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm just playing Jack Lemon.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_06]: He's a he has he looks like an accountant, but he recently bought a rather rakeish bowler that he is still a little bit Intimidated to wear in public Just a rake signar We said the sorrow that you were pouring out to me about your parents It's that I spent like a week salary on this this very like daffer but like a little bit
- 29:43[SPEAKER_06]: A little bit too swath, bowler head.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not confident I have to wear it, and I'm really sad that.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure you can pull it off.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_06]: Stop telling him that.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_06]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 30:07[SPEAKER_04]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: And then yeah, the radical is next.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_08]: Which one of you quietly shares my convictions?
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: I guess we should ask what are your convictions.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_08]: That's also a question.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_06]: No, no answer first.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_08]: You agreed to it first.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_08]: Then I'll tell you what it is.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_04]: All agree.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_04]: All agree with your convictions.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_04]: It may not line up with my faction.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that's fun.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_08]: I think the world should be isolationist.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_08]: No one to talk to each other.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_08]: It should only be separate nations altogether.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_08]: No one to befriend.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_08]: No more friends.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_08]: Is really what it is.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_08]: No more friends.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_06]: No more friends.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_06]: We've done too much.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_06]: I like the idea of isolationist to the extreme.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_06]: We're like, no one should like, everyone, everyone, be one mile from another.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, no one should be trained.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_08]: None of us should be talking to each other.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_08]: Not in like a weird, you're all bad, do I?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_08]: Just like, this is, this is not working.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_08]: I don't like this.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_04]: I think we all just need to take some time to ourselves.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, we need some space.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_08]: We've got 100 years of space and then we can figure.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_06]: That's the manifesto I told him.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, 100 years of space.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_06]: This is like my thing about how, if everyone in the world shut up about bacon for like a year, the prices would go back to being regular.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_06]: Instead of being like $4 for a strips of bacon
- 31:42[SPEAKER_06]: This is the same thing.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_06]: If no one had a friend for a year, people would like to fix the world.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_06]: We'd come back and be like, oh my god, society needs to exist.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_06]: No, it's true right now.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_06]: That's like everyone she has your beliefs.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_04]: This is a good thing but I think it's I'm secret about it.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to try to pretend I don't agree Yeah, you're doing a bad job But you're like, but when you say you disagree, are you winking like do you mean you do a free you And what are Eshes pronouns they them?
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm great and how about Baxter?
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: I hear him in tiny Yeah, and finally the operative
- 32:29[SPEAKER_04]: Which one of you has my affiliated faction asked me to monitor?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_04]: Who am I secretly spying on in the group?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_04]: Gathering information about it.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, me.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'll jump out of it.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_04]: I just think there has to be something more to various going on.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_04]: Then you, you can't just want love.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_04]: That doesn't make sense.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm literally covered in blood all of the time.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_08]: I trust you with my life.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: Six and six is like paranormal spiders.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I wonder if tiny has something paranormal going on that they're like.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: My cat is getting.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: My cat is a weird.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's good.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_04]: Your relationship has just been explicable.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I've been investigating the cat really well I can see through the cat's eyes.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god I wonder if I just don't tell anybody that.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's funny.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, but how do you know that?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_06]: What is by me having about I don't understand nothing Just to find that as if the cat right now it's about to hit Honestly if you had to spy on a cat it'd be the easiest thing in the world because no one would ever question you taking pictures of a cat Yeah, it's yeah.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_04]: You think I'm just a decent cat
- 33:41[SPEAKER_06]: All you have to do is go, oh, you know what, and you're good, surveillance is set.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, journal, just say, oops, oops, oops.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: I was the one characters name it, one pregnancy.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go, she her, and her name is Val.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: And this is really hard, so I don't expect you to have an answer, but does anyone have a crew name off the top of the dime?
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this is hard.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's always really hard.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's go to this.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: Where do you think you're like, um, your bases?
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: You'll leave.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: What do you hang out?
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: Is it at the butchery?
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: Or, uh,
- 34:25[SPEAKER_04]: back in the butcher shop in the fridge and the walk in the freezer.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_06]: That's pretty good.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_06]: It's like kind of a lesson.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_06]: I know this place was cheap.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_06]: It's not worth it.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_06]: We're paying for this ice.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: What's wrong with him?
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's nice.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_06]: I just took him with the Frank fooder in your head.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_08]: That we were here because it was free.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_06]: No, that's what I keep saying.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_06]: It's not for you because we have to pay feel like Trissor you to keep it going so that people don't come in here.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_04]: I just like though that in all our meetings, you get to wear dramatic coats.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_06]: How we get to that.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's the thing.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_06]: Backstreet doesn't still won't wear his hat.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_06]: It just brings it up.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I like meat locker, perfect.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_06]: back of a butcher shop.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we have to pay to keep the butcher shop open so that it looks like a front.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_06]: And let me tell you, this is not a front.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_06]: We're making a profit on the butcher shop, actually.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's coming to pop there.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_06]: Are you selling meat?
- 35:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_06]: Are we making a profit?
- 35:33[SPEAKER_06]: The real estate in this area is crazy and also this is a low traffic area for me.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_08]: This is a vegetarian quarter.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what we're thinking.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: Zam, the street-kid runs away all my business, selling impossible burgers.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting into eggplant dogs, and it's not going well.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting into eggplant dogs, and it's not going well.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting into eggplant dogs, and it's not going well.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: Say I'm the straight cat.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's everything.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I do have one quick question in it in the book.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_04]: There's the operative items.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_04]: So these are just things that I have.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, you can't hear.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_01]: So up above there is, uh, like a kind of load thing.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: So you should all mark, uh, let's just go here for this.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's, we're going to do what's called a cult code opens.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to start in with a like a school.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like usual.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: You won't like pick a plan and all that, but um, pick loud.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: So you all get six boxes of items and you can just pick them as you need them.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to pick them ahead of time, and so you could have anything off that list up to six boxes worth, and then that's everything you've carried with you.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: The Duffel bag is over and above.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: Things in italics as zero load.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you all get like a free radio handset that doesn't take any load for example.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: So if you want, you could just tick off the italics ones, just you know you have them.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: So the top box is like specific to your playbook and then below that stuff, anyone could get.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_06]: One of mine is just documents, which I, or I guess it's the idea of what I do with documents and I really like subterfuse supplies.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that may mean.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, a lot of mine are italics, actually.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_04]: Look at you.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_04]: Tiny has so much in his butchering apron.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got pockets in their deep.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_04]: I got pockets.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_06]: I got pockets, baby.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_06]: I checked out a lot of things and I'm guessing like, I should maybe have a weapon.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: No, maybe.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we don't pick them until we need them, right?
- 37:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like the actual non-italics ones?
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: Bit of not-to-pecking just in case.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, right.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you took off the italics ones, but yeah, the other stuff.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Tim, you are correct.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: Neel the Tim.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_08]: And that's the end of our preview of Blade 68 with Tim Dene.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_08]: If you want to listen to the rest of the episode, head on over to many sided media's Patreon.
