- 0:10Speaker 1: Hey, everybody. Welcome to Pink Shade. Guess what? Mugshot Monday
- 0:15Speaker 1: is back.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Kinda.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Kinda.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Kinda. Kinda. Thank the Lord.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Yeah. Lord.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Guys.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Because they really gave us the bottom of the barrel
- 0:27Speaker 3: replacement shows.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Yeah, they really have. So this is Love After Lockup
- 0:33Speaker 1: Relationship Rehab. This is a new show. It's a spinoff.
- 0:37Speaker 1: They're even saying season one, episode one. They're not doing
- 0:39Speaker 1: like season seven, episode 406 like they normally. Yeah. They're
- 0:44Speaker 1: giving it its own section.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Okay, good.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Okay. I have to say, now, I don't know Dr. Ish.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I don't know him. I've never seen him.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Dr. Ish is the ish.
- 0:57Speaker 1: But he's doing it.
- 0:58Speaker 2: He's a real doctor.
- 1:02Speaker 1: This is crazy because, you know, we watch several seasons
- 1:05Speaker 1: of 90 Day Fiance, The Last Resort, where they have these,
- 1:10Speaker 1: you know, they have a sex therapist. They have a
- 1:11Speaker 1: life coach.
- 1:13Speaker 3: I don't think they help anyone.
- 1:15Speaker 1: No, because it's all about like the people in the
- 1:18Speaker 1: castle and the drama and stuff. And it really isn't
- 1:20Speaker 1: about the therapy, which is what we want to see.
- 1:24Speaker 1: But this, we get right to it.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Yeah, Dr. Ish, you know, he's been on a couple
- 1:32Speaker 3: of we TV shows like Marriage Boot Camp. Yeah. And
- 1:35Speaker 3: he also works with Mama June and her family.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 1:40Speaker 3: And Dr. Ish is not. I remember this one episode
- 1:45Speaker 3: of Mama June. He did a session and one of
- 1:49Speaker 3: the people on the show, husband, Josh. Totally broke all
- 1:54Speaker 3: the way down. Like he, he really wants his clients
- 1:57Speaker 3: to be better. It is not all for TV. I
- 2:00Speaker 3: will say that now that Jackie, he had on that's questionable.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I agree. The jacket was odd.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Don't know what was going on with that, but he
- 2:11Speaker 3: knows what he's doing. Okay.
- 2:13Speaker 1: The jacket's a little loud for television. I feel like
- 2:15Speaker 1: they tell you generally.
- 2:16Speaker 3: It was a little loud for life. I mean, unless
- 2:20Speaker 3: you're like, I don't know, a graffiti artist and you're
- 2:24Speaker 3: displaying your jacket as an example.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Of your art, it was a lot.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It was a lot. I agree.
- 2:29Speaker 3: And he doesn't dress like that. Oh.
- 2:31Speaker 1: No.
- 2:32Speaker 3: No.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Okay. He said new show who this. I'm going to just...
- 2:38Speaker 1: I'm going.
- 2:38Speaker 2: To guess so.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I need you to get it together, Dr.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Ish.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Don't wear that jacket again.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Well, they've got eight days. So hopefully we'll see eight
- 2:45Speaker 1: different looks.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Not this one.
- 2:48Speaker 2: We don't need like different variations of this jacket. Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Well, we'll see. It'll be interesting as we go. Well,
- 2:54Speaker 1: let's get started because I thought... I'm going to just
- 2:57Speaker 1: say I thought off the bat this was great. And
- 3:00Speaker 1: this is what we needed. We needed a little mix up.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying seeing some of these couples.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I couldn't say most, but it'll be interesting to see
- 3:15Speaker 1: what happens here for me, at least.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I honestly felt like none of them were on the
- 3:20Speaker 3: right reality TV show.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, I feel like Alexis should have been
- 3:26Speaker 3: on Worst Cooks in America.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Girl, we ain't forgot about that bacon.
- 3:30Speaker 3: We almost killed you, Julius, and that unborn child because
- 3:34Speaker 3: it was raw. I think Melissa needs to be on
- 3:38Speaker 3: botch because she cannot get the nose right. I wish
- 3:41Speaker 3: she would have stuck to her original nose. Joey needs
- 3:46Speaker 3: to be on celebrity rehab.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Except for he's not a celebrity, but yeah.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Well, he thinks he is.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Michael....
- 3:56Speaker 3: He needs to be on a fitness show and a
- 3:59Speaker 3: show about receding hairlines because what the fuck is going
- 4:02Speaker 3: on here? Justine needs to be on what not to wear.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I mean, they've got options of shows they can be on.
- 4:10Speaker 3: That's all I'm going to say.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Oh, Keisha.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:15Speaker 3: All right.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Well, let's focus on this show. Okay.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Let's focus on this one.
- 4:19Speaker 1: All right. So we open. So this is season one,
- 4:23Speaker 1: episode one, and it's Walls Within Walls. Okay. So I
- 4:28Speaker 1: wish that while they were doing their therapy, they would
- 4:32Speaker 1: have said, because I understand the premise is like you
- 4:36Speaker 1: got out of prison, but you still feel like you're,
- 4:38Speaker 1: you know, blah, blah, blah. I get the premise of
- 4:39Speaker 1: walls within walls. I wish they would have at least
- 4:42Speaker 1: referenced this, but you can't have it all. By the way,
- 4:47Speaker 1: there are, there are nine episodes of this.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:52Speaker 1: So we open with Dr.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Ish.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So he's Dr. Ish Major, and he's telling us 75%
- 4:56Speaker 1: of people leaving prison go back within three years. And
- 5:00Speaker 1: there's one thing that is proven to cut that number
- 5:03Speaker 1: in half, and that is a stable, healthy relationship. So Dr.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Ish tells us about himself, which was good because I
- 5:10Speaker 1: don't know him. He is a board-certified psychiatrist and relationship expert.
- 5:19Speaker 1: He has spent his career working with all walks of life,
- 5:21Speaker 1: So he built a program for the love after lockup
- 5:25Speaker 1: couples to see if they could stay together and stay
- 5:27Speaker 1: out of prison. The survival instincts that save them on
- 5:30Speaker 1: the inside are the same skills that destroy them on
- 5:33Speaker 1: the outside. Five couples, eight days, one chance to do
- 5:37Speaker 1: the real work. This is love after lockup relationship rehab.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And I said, already, doctor, it's just the best therapist
- 5:44Speaker 1: we've ever seen on television.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Oh, just wait.
- 5:47Speaker 3: You're going to love him. He's so good. Okay.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I'm excited about this. So we see all the couples
- 5:55Speaker 1: are headed to Los Angeles. And first up is Julius
- 5:59Speaker 1: and Alexis. Now people are like record scratch. Who dat?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Who are these people? They were only on one season.
- 6:06Speaker 1: If you recall their storyline started with, he had two girls.
- 6:11Speaker 1: He had that, that white girl that was a shape shifter.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Oh, she wasn't white.
- 6:17Speaker 1: She wasn't. No. Oh, okay. I thought she was. Anyway,
- 6:22Speaker 1: whatever her name was.
- 6:23Speaker 2: But she was a shapeshifter.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Yes, she was.
- 6:25Speaker 1: She was completely different in every single photo you saw
- 6:29Speaker 1: of her. Like, fat, skinny, different hair color, different face,
- 6:32Speaker 1: different everything.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Hair, everything.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Teeth.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It just was all over the place with her.
- 6:39Speaker 3: We just... She catfished us and we're professionals.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I apologize if you hear dogs barking in the background
- 6:47Speaker 1: because that is my house. And I do have another
- 6:50Speaker 1: adult here who is supposed to be taking care of
- 6:52Speaker 1: the dogs. Okay. So they'll stop in a minute. I
- 6:55Speaker 1: have to imagine maybe food is being delivered. I don't
- 6:57Speaker 1: know why they're doing it.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:59Speaker 1: So Julius and Alexis. Okay. So they were on season
- 7:02Speaker 1: six of Love After Lockup. He had this other girlfriend.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Since then, Alexis has had a baby. We pretty much
- 7:10Speaker 1: did not think he didn't like either girl. He liked
- 7:13Speaker 1: girl number one the least because he dumped her right away.
- 7:17Speaker 1: But I guess he liked Alexis. Okay. She was getting her.
- 7:20Speaker 1: She was like a nursing assistant where she would go
- 7:22Speaker 1: and sort of like sit with old people at night.
- 7:24Speaker 1: She was getting her nursing degree at the time. Nursing degree.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So we knew she had some sense.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Not good sense because she just dated a prisoner and
- 7:36Speaker 3: immediately got pregnant by him.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So she's had the baby. Is it a girl? It's
- 7:42Speaker 1: a girl.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Her name is Juliana.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Okay. I hate when they do that.
- 7:46Speaker 3: She even named the baby after him.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Julius.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Julius.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Julius. Yeah.
- 7:53Speaker 1: She says their biggest problem is I was like, where
- 7:57Speaker 1: do we start?
- 7:59Speaker 3: Let's start with the face tattoos. Let's get the prison
- 8:02Speaker 3: part out of it. Let's go straight to the face tattoos.
- 8:05Speaker 3: And the fact that he cannot speak. He doesn't know
- 8:08Speaker 3: how to speak.
- 8:09Speaker 1: No, God bless him. Their biggest problem is communication and
- 8:14Speaker 1: their definition of cheating. And he goes, I'm not out
- 8:21Speaker 1: here doing, I'm just entertaining.
- 8:25Speaker 3: That's cheating.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Okay. They arrive at the cast hotel, and we see, next,
- 8:32Speaker 1: Melissa and Louie. Melissa and Louie, together four years, engaged
- 8:36Speaker 1: two years. They know each other from high school, then
- 8:40Speaker 1: they lost touch, and then he reached out to her
- 8:43Speaker 1: during his last year of his 10-year prison sentence.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Because he didn't know where to stay when he got out.
- 8:49Speaker 2: He didn't want to stay with fucking Donna.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah. They've been together ever since. Now, if you guys
- 8:55Speaker 1: aren't familiar and didn't know their story, she was like
- 8:58Speaker 1: fangirl over him because he was like the cool guy
- 9:01Speaker 1: in high school and she was the nerd.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yes.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So she thought it was great that this cool guy
- 9:06Speaker 1: from high school liked her. I have always thought they
- 9:09Speaker 1: seemed to be a very stable couple.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I think that they are.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Now, what they will do is teach you how to
- 9:18Speaker 3: squeeze every dollar out of WeTV. Because there's absolutely no
- 9:22Speaker 3: reason for them to be on this show.
- 9:24Speaker 2: It's just fabricated.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I think so, too. And I think they're like, we've
- 9:28Speaker 1: got to bring some fan favorites on so people will watch.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I agree. Yeah.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And they are fan favorite.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So she says, we need to figure out how to communicate.
- 9:37Speaker 1: We're planning on getting married. But luckily, we get a
- 9:41Speaker 1: couple of clips of his mom, fucking Donna.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Fucking Donna.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I would love. And now we do also think she
- 9:47Speaker 1: sort of started leaning into her personality towards the end
- 9:50Speaker 1: when she got popular on the show. But she is funny.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And she goes, we have to get on the same
- 9:55Speaker 1: page and figure out your mom. um it's like i
- 9:58Speaker 1: have to be number one he goes you are you
- 10:00Speaker 1: are my number one what are you talking about and
- 10:02Speaker 1: she goes not in her eyes and he's like we're
- 10:05Speaker 1: not here to talk about my mother but.
- 10:07Speaker 3: I mean they don't even live in the same state
- 10:09Speaker 3: as her anymore i know if you answer the phone
- 10:12Speaker 3: just don't answer the phone decline um.
- 10:19Speaker 1: So Melissa meets Julius and Alexis and she says, I
- 10:24Speaker 1: already have an opinion that he's a player, you know,
- 10:26Speaker 1: after seeing their season.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Duh.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 3: He's really young too.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I didn't write down their ages as we went
- 10:35Speaker 1: and I should have done that.
- 10:37Speaker 3: He is young and he's been in prison the majority
- 10:40Speaker 3: of his adult life.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Adult life.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Next up, we have Michael and Justine. That's Montana Mills.
- 10:49Speaker 1: He says, we were together three and a half years
- 10:51Speaker 1: while I was in prison. And she says, yeah, with
- 10:54Speaker 1: all our responsibilities, it is hard for us to pour
- 10:57Speaker 1: anything into our relationship because we have nine kids. Now,
- 11:02Speaker 1: they started off with seven. So they had two on purpose.
- 11:06Speaker 2: They had three.
- 11:08Speaker 1: They had three?
- 11:08Speaker 3: They've got a millionaire.
- 11:11Speaker 1: He had four.
- 11:13Speaker 3: She had three.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Right, he had four, she had three, and then they
- 11:17Speaker 1: on purpose had two.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I thought it was three babies. The little girl, Manhattan Barbie.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Manhattan Barbie. And then a little boy, but I thought
- 11:27Speaker 3: they had another one. But maybe it was just the two.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yeah, because he had... He went in with four, and
- 11:34Speaker 1: she went in with three. Yeah. And then they had
- 11:36Speaker 1: the two. Manhattan Barbie and Millionaire Barbie.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Millionaire. Billionaire. I don't know. Something like that.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Million is what they're calling him.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Million. Yes.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It's so stupid. So they need to work on their
- 11:50Speaker 1: parenting style. And she says, you know, I'm always stuck
- 11:54Speaker 1: between the kids and my husband and none of them
- 11:57Speaker 1: make it easy on me. But I think I think
- 11:59Speaker 1: she looks good. I mean, I know you don't love
- 12:01Speaker 1: her clothes, but I think she looks good.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Well, at least they're not, you know, looking like a
- 12:06Speaker 3: construction crew out there like they normally do with the
- 12:09Speaker 3: neon vest and the matching.
- 12:11Speaker 1: The matching. And all of that.
- 12:12Speaker 3: But no, she looks horrible. The outfit is, no matter
- 12:16Speaker 3: what size she is, she just does not know how
- 12:18Speaker 3: to dress at all. Because what was that?
- 12:22Speaker 1: Remind me what she was wearing. I can't even remember. Oh,
- 12:25Speaker 1: it was like a bodysuit. Yeah.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yeah. It was ill-fitting.
- 12:31Speaker 3: She could have looked so much better in something else, but.
- 12:33Speaker 2: That's Justine.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So they get in the van and they're like, hey,
- 12:37Speaker 1: when we saw you walking in, it looked like you
- 12:39Speaker 1: were carrying like a poster. So obviously it was a bag.
- 12:42Speaker 1: And she goes, no, it was my stripper pole, which
- 12:45Speaker 1: is hilarious. I guess I was like, I guess you
- 12:47Speaker 1: could just set up a stripper pole in your hotel room.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm bringing mine to Lieberfest this Saturday.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Okay, great. So now we see Joey and Kimberly. Now,
- 12:59Speaker 1: they have known each other their whole lives. They messed
- 13:01Speaker 1: around in high school. They got together in 2018. She goes,
- 13:05Speaker 1: we have two kids.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Why would you say that?
- 13:08Speaker 1: That is not true. That is not true. Those are
- 13:11Speaker 1: not his kids. No, they're her kids. And he's been
- 13:17Speaker 1: out of prison since 2023. He's relapsed, gone to rehab.
- 13:20Speaker 1: They got married. He got arrested. He relapsed again. And
- 13:24Speaker 1: she says, we've been through more than most people go
- 13:26Speaker 1: through in 20 years. And at this point, I'm not
- 13:28Speaker 1: sure what's next. Well, The world will tell you, girl.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I mean, he's so it literally looks like someone just
- 13:35Speaker 3: got him out of the morgue. That is how lifeless
- 13:38Speaker 3: and pale that he looks right now. And he looks
- 13:41Speaker 3: high as a kite.
- 13:44Speaker 1: He's he's not doing well. And I don't I don't
- 13:49Speaker 1: understand her because I think this is the best she's
- 13:51Speaker 1: ever looked. She looked.
- 13:54Speaker 3: So clearly she's had a weight loss journey, but I
- 13:57Speaker 3: think she's also stressed the fuck out. So yeah, she's
- 13:59Speaker 3: going to be thin and looking.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Like her body is her hair. Everything looks healthy except
- 14:07Speaker 3: for her face. Her face looks like what she's been
- 14:09Speaker 3: going through.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Yeah. God bless.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:12Speaker 1: So the talking head Louie says, I know Joey has
- 14:14Speaker 1: struggled with addiction, so I can really understand that. You know,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I'm sober and clean, but he doesn't look like he's
- 14:21Speaker 1: in the best condition. And Melissa goes, he looks fucked up.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yeah, he does.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Y'all, we all have those things in our closet that
- 14:28Speaker 1: we just reach for again and again, right? It could
- 14:31Speaker 1: be your favorite jeans. It could be a jacket that
- 14:33Speaker 1: just always looks good with everything or your favorite handbag.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Like these are the pieces that earn a permanent place
- 14:39Speaker 1: in your wardrobe. And that's exactly what Quince does so well.
- 14:43Speaker 1: So whenever I come on here to talk to y'all
- 14:45Speaker 1: about Quince, I look at my cart. What did I
- 14:47Speaker 1: just buy? What am I about to buy? Right now,
- 14:50Speaker 1: I have the organic French terry hoodie in white in
- 14:53Speaker 1: my cart. It's perfect for elevating a athleisure look, you know,
- 14:57Speaker 1: when you're trying to be comfy, but also look great.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I also just got the sienna hand-woven tote in cognac
- 15:03Speaker 1: for my upcoming trips. I'm going to New York soon
- 15:06Speaker 1: and Italy, and it's going to look amazing. With all
- 15:08Speaker 1: my travel outfits, it's a perfect piece. And don't tell
- 15:11Speaker 1: my sisters, but I got us some matching soft pajamas
- 15:14Speaker 1: for our trip. They're made of bamboo jersey. They're so comfy.

- 15:57Speaker 1: brand markup. It's luxury without the luxury price. And you know,

- 16:31Speaker 1: it was Pink Shade. It is the best way to
- 16:34Speaker 1: support our show. So then we see Brittany walk up
- 16:39Speaker 1: and they're like, oh, there's Brittany. She's solo. And she's like,
- 16:42Speaker 1: I'm here to work on myself. And her talking head
- 16:45Speaker 1: Brittany says, Marcelino and I have been in a relationship
- 16:48Speaker 1: for 10 years. We've been separated for three years. And
- 16:52Speaker 1: the talking head, Kimberly, says, Brittany really inspired me. And
- 16:56Speaker 1: one of the reasons I thought Joey could make it
- 16:58Speaker 1: coming from prison was watching Brittany on the show. Like,
- 17:01Speaker 1: it's possible. If Brittany can do it, so can he.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Yeah, because boy, did she have a hell of a backstory.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I mean, she's got no family support, nothing, you know.
- 17:14Speaker 1: So Marcelino comes out. He's got a brand new hummingbird
- 17:18Speaker 1: tattoo on his neck.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Which is a choice. Marcelino still looks really good.
- 17:25Speaker 1: He does. And he's almost 50. He's like 47, I think.
- 17:28Speaker 3: I mean, there's not a wrinkle, a line or anything
- 17:31Speaker 3: on that face, nor that head. I mean, he looks good.
- 17:35Speaker 1: So in the talking head, he says, walking out alone
- 17:38Speaker 1: is what I requested. Now here we go.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Until he opens his mouth.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Yeah, until he opens his mouth.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Yep. Now you look like an egg.
- 17:47Speaker 1: He says, I have... I have a hard time being
- 17:50Speaker 1: around Brittany. We live separately. I do not feel comfortable
- 17:53Speaker 1: being around her because of the walls we have built
- 17:55Speaker 1: up around each other.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Walls.
- 17:59Speaker 1: But I'm here to rehabilitate my relationship. Well, that's never
- 18:03Speaker 1: going to happen.
- 18:03Speaker 3: And we also know that Brittany can be violent. I mean,
- 18:05Speaker 3: we watch her beat her friends, kick her friends' ass
- 18:08Speaker 3: up and down a parking lot in front of the
- 18:10Speaker 3: woman's job. She kicked her ass so bad that none
- 18:14Speaker 3: of her like coworkers.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Came out to help her.
- 18:17Speaker 3: That is how much she was kicking her ass.
- 18:22Speaker 1: He gets in. It's dead quiet. Like everybody was talking
- 18:25Speaker 1: and now it's dead quiet. Yeah. So she leans up
- 18:29Speaker 1: and touches his shoulder like nicely. I thought and goes, Hey,
- 18:33Speaker 1: can I get a good morning? Fuck you. Something, anything.
- 18:36Speaker 1: And he's like, he just looks at her. She goes,
- 18:38Speaker 1: good morning. Fuck you. Anything. And he goes, good morning.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Your nails look nice. And she's like, okay, thank you.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So the talking heads together, he says, I want to
- 18:49Speaker 1: be here because I don't want my children growing up
- 18:51Speaker 1: in a broken home. And if there's any inkling that
- 18:54Speaker 1: we could repair the marriage or hear each other, like
- 18:57Speaker 1: we need to, it's worth going to the moon and back.
- 19:01Speaker 3: And y'all ain't gone. Y'all may need to go a
- 19:03Speaker 3: little bit further than the.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Moon because Mars is not going to work.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yeah, this is bad.
- 19:09Speaker 1: So she goes, we're just not in a good space
- 19:10Speaker 1: right now. Can we be done? And they get up
- 19:13Speaker 1: and walk away from the talking head. So they've headed
- 19:16Speaker 1: out to some sort of mountain cabin retreat outside of
- 19:18Speaker 1: Los Angeles. Now, normally, they will give us the name
- 19:21Speaker 1: of the place and all that because they want to
- 19:23Speaker 1: get the free hour. They don't ever tell us because
- 19:24Speaker 1: you don't like to look this shit up, but they
- 19:26Speaker 1: don't tell us.
- 19:27Speaker 3: I don't like how they always have to go to
- 19:31Speaker 3: some wilderness. That makes me feel uncomfortable. Every place they go,
- 19:36Speaker 3: it looks like a place where white men take their wives.
- 19:38Speaker 2: To kill them. It just gives that vibe. I don't
- 19:41Speaker 2: like it.
- 19:42Speaker 3: I'm like, we could have done this anywhere except for
- 19:45Speaker 3: right here. Does the wilderness bring out goodnesses?
- 19:50Speaker 1: People?
- 19:50Speaker 2: Is it therapeutic?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Well, they should have told the women to wear better shoes,
- 19:56Speaker 1: I think.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Because they were all over the place with shoes.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Because I was like, you're just standing in grass. You're
- 20:01Speaker 1: standing in dirt. Like, what are we doing? Yeah, yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 3: So....
- 20:07Speaker 1: M and J. Michael and Justine. Okay. Michael and Justine.
- 20:12Speaker 1: He's like, I know Dr. Ish. My wife and my
- 20:14Speaker 1: daughter love Dr.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Ish.
- 20:17Speaker 1: But he's got some blank with him. I didn't understand.
- 20:19Speaker 1: He's got some shit with him. He's got some something.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I don't think he likes a therapist.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Well, yeah. But I didn't know what this word was.
- 20:32Speaker 1: He goes, he's got something with him. So I immediately
- 20:35Speaker 1: go into defense mode immediately. And I feel overwhelmed and confused.
- 20:41Speaker 1: And Justine says, I felt it would be a problem
- 20:44Speaker 1: with Michael because we're doing a van ride and getting
- 20:48Speaker 1: out to authority. So it's so familiar. So he's in
- 20:52Speaker 1: defense mode right away, which, of course, I really didn't
- 20:54Speaker 1: think about the van ride and stuff. But yeah, get it.
- 20:57Speaker 2: But he's also had a lot of time to prepare
- 21:00Speaker 2: for it.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Is this a dog behind you?
- 21:05Speaker 3: It's a dog behind me. And I tell you what,
- 21:08Speaker 3: I did an interview with my spiritual advisor last week
- 21:12Speaker 3: and Saki just popped up like he did. And Joe
- 21:14Speaker 3: was like, oh my God, I thought it was a
- 21:15Speaker 3: spirit behind you. So Saki, get nice and comfortable.
- 21:24Speaker 1: So Dr. Ish says, before we begin, I want to
- 21:27Speaker 1: be clear. This is not a vacation. I have created
- 21:30Speaker 1: a program built around your specific circumstances. It's custom made.
- 21:35Speaker 1: These are unique relationships that require unique solutions. This process
- 21:40Speaker 1: was not created to comfort you. It's created to challenge you.
- 21:44Speaker 1: What you're not changing, you're choosing. Now that stuck with me.
- 21:48Speaker 1: What you're not changing, you're choosing.
- 21:49Speaker 3: I'm telling you, by the time we're done, you're going
- 21:54Speaker 3: to want.
- 21:54Speaker 2: To interview Dr.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Ish. Okay.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 21:57Speaker 1: So by the time you leave, I'm going to challenge
- 22:00Speaker 1: each and every one of you to stand up for yourself.
- 22:02Speaker 1: It's not for me. It's not for your partner. It's
- 22:04Speaker 1: for you. Does anybody have any questions?
- 22:07Speaker 3: Yes.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Why are we wearing these shoes? We didn't know we
- 22:09Speaker 1: were going to be outdoors. We would have been in sneakers.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:13Speaker 1: So then we hear Brittany's voice on a loudspeaker calling
- 22:17Speaker 1: Marcelina a fucking liar, saying she hates him. And then
- 22:20Speaker 1: we hear these terrible clips of everybody like screaming at
- 22:23Speaker 1: their partners from the show. And they're all like, what?
- 22:29Speaker 1: So they all go into this tent and they make
- 22:31Speaker 1: him sit on these very hard benches and all the
- 22:33Speaker 1: women are holding their purses.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I did not get the purse thing. I'm like, was
- 22:38Speaker 3: there no, was there not like an extra bench for
- 22:41Speaker 3: them to go put their purses? Like who's going to
- 22:43Speaker 3: steal your purse?
- 22:44Speaker 1: Why didn't they, why didn't they say leave your purse
- 22:48Speaker 1: with your luggage and we're going to put it all
- 22:49Speaker 1: in your room? Yeah.
- 22:51Speaker 3: It was weird.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I was like, can they let them drop their stuff
- 22:54Speaker 1: off first? Damn. So he says, before you got here,
- 22:58Speaker 1: we all sat down one-on-one to have conversations and private
- 23:02Speaker 1: interviews with no partner present. Now, I thought that meant
- 23:07Speaker 1: they were private conversations and he's going to say, well,
- 23:10Speaker 1: what I learned from talking to you is this. But no,
- 23:12Speaker 1: they have them on screen. I was like, no. So
- 23:17Speaker 1: first up, Justine and Michael. We see their clips of
- 23:23Speaker 1: talking and whatever. And she says he may be physically
- 23:26Speaker 1: out of prison, but mentally he's not. Because in prison,
- 23:30Speaker 1: you have to be so strong and you just become
- 23:33Speaker 1: numb to the outside world.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 23:35Speaker 1: The most common thing they fight about is the parenting.
- 23:39Speaker 1: He's militant. She's lenient. And he says, he says, I'm militant.
- 23:44Speaker 1: She's lenient. That's how it is when you have a
- 23:46Speaker 1: man around. I do the yelling. She does the hugging,
- 23:48Speaker 1: but they don't do it again.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Well, I feel like when you have that many kids,
- 23:53Speaker 3: someone has to be militant. I mean, just because they'll
- 23:56Speaker 3: just be running amok. You know what I mean? So
- 24:00Speaker 3: I don't.
- 24:01Speaker 1: But they don't have all nine at once. I mean,
- 24:03Speaker 1: you know.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Well, we got the two that live with their moms. Yeah.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Little Nova and Mason.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Nova and Mason are the two little ones.
- 24:16Speaker 2: That are the same age.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Michael Jr., Melody, Nova, and Mason. Because Nova's mom is different.
- 24:25Speaker 1: And Nova's mom was like, I'm not doing an M name.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Fuck y'all.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't like them at all.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:32Speaker 3: So.
- 24:34Speaker 1: She says, we do not have infidelity issues. I trust him.
- 24:37Speaker 1: But I don't know if I trust him with my heart.
- 24:40Speaker 1: So Michael is doing what I call the shepherds, just
- 24:44Speaker 1: bouncing his legs. And Dr. Ish goes, you seem to
- 24:47Speaker 1: be bouncing. He goes, I do that. And Dr. Ish says, well,
- 24:51Speaker 1: what do you think of all this? And he goes,
- 24:53Speaker 1: I hear it every day. I don't know what else
- 24:55Speaker 1: I can do to change it. And Dr. Ish goes, okay,
- 24:58Speaker 1: let's don't talk about the change yet. Let's talk about
- 25:01Speaker 1: how you feel right now.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 25:03Speaker 1: And he goes, I'm confused about everything. You know, I've
- 25:06Speaker 1: been this way my whole life, and I feel like
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm being targeted, and I know I'm going to have
- 25:11Speaker 1: to dig deep, and I don't want to do that.
- 25:14Speaker 1: And Justine says, if you take his criminal history into
- 25:17Speaker 1: consideration and what he went through, he's had to be
- 25:20Speaker 1: so tough. So he expects the rest of us to
- 25:23Speaker 1: be that tough.
- 25:25Speaker 3: I mean... This he wasn't like a member of the
- 25:29Speaker 3: Mormon Tavern Choir. He was a drug dealer, like a
- 25:32Speaker 3: big time drug dealer and was part of the fentanyl
- 25:38Speaker 3: epidemic in America. OK, so he was tough before he
- 25:42Speaker 3: went into prison.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 25:43Speaker 3: You know what I mean? We're not going to even
- 25:45Speaker 3: add in his upbringing, but just I mean, to be
- 25:47Speaker 3: a drug. What was he like right underneath the kingpin?
- 25:51Speaker 1: Yeah, he was very high up.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Yeah. So, yeah, he's got to be. I don't know
- 25:54Speaker 3: what she was expecting for him to be, like this
- 25:56Speaker 3: big soft teddy bear when he got out. No, I'm
- 25:59Speaker 3: sure he's still ducky and thinking people are after him.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Yeah, probably.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Yeah. So, I think she likes the lifestyle, too.
- 26:08Speaker 1: So, she talks to him and she says, I want
- 26:10Speaker 1: to feel comfortable coming to you because you know I
- 26:13Speaker 1: have nobody else. And so, I guess she and her
- 26:15Speaker 1: mom weren't getting along. And she says.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Her mom's got her own. She's trying to stay out
- 26:19Speaker 2: of jail herself.
- 26:20Speaker 1: That's true. That's true.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:21Speaker 1: She says, you know, it's frustrating when you're only willing
- 26:25Speaker 1: to accept how you would handle a situation because I'm
- 26:28Speaker 1: not Michael. I just want to be being Justine to
- 26:32Speaker 1: be okay. And I want that to be safe.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 26:35Speaker 1: So I think they have, I don't know. I kind
- 26:39Speaker 1: of feel like they don't really have any problems either, but.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I don't think they have any problems.
- 26:42Speaker 3: The problem is they got nine goddamn kids to take
- 26:44Speaker 3: care of.
- 26:45Speaker 2: That's why they're back on our television. And they keep
- 26:48Speaker 2: trying to be rappers.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Yeah, they do continue to try to do a dual
- 26:52Speaker 1: rep career. So now Alexis and Julius. And she goes,
- 26:57Speaker 1: our biggest disagreements are him engaging with people he should
- 27:01Speaker 1: not be. I just found out he was talking to
- 27:04Speaker 1: somebody and he says he never met her. It was
- 27:06Speaker 1: just on the phone.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Okay.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:09Speaker 1: She goes, but that was a lie. He had met
- 27:12Speaker 1: her and he was cheating.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Okay. He was cheating if they didn't meet. Right.
- 27:17Speaker 2: They were still cheating.
- 27:19Speaker 1: She goes, you know, I wonder if I should just
- 27:21Speaker 1: be single, but I don't want to take the easy
- 27:24Speaker 1: way out either. So we see him being asked, have
- 27:28Speaker 1: you cheated on her? And he goes, well, I mean,
- 27:32Speaker 1: there have been times when I was chasing women. I mean,
- 27:35Speaker 1: I think that's what he said. I think that's what
- 27:37Speaker 1: he said.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Who?
- 27:38Speaker 1: Of all?
- 27:39Speaker 3: All the times that they give us subtitles, why not
- 27:42Speaker 3: give them to us right now? We need them.
- 27:45Speaker 1: And then on the screeners, there's no choice to choose subtitles.
- 27:48Speaker 1: So I couldn't, that's where I was watching. I couldn't
- 27:50Speaker 1: even like choose it. Even like an AI, an AI,
- 27:55Speaker 1: something would have been better.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Understanding him like.
- 27:59Speaker 1: So Dr. Ish says, how do you feel and what
- 28:03Speaker 1: jumps out? And she says, well, The cheating is a problem,
- 28:07Speaker 1: but he did say it was a mistake. And he goes,
- 28:11Speaker 1: I apologize. Don't act like I didn't apologize. And she goes,
- 28:14Speaker 1: you did apologize, but you didn't show that you were sorry.
- 28:18Speaker 1: That's all she wants. He could do whatever the fuck
- 28:20Speaker 1: he wants as long as he apologizes.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I think she will never let him go. There's
- 28:25Speaker 3: a girl right now who said that she's pregnant by him.
- 28:28Speaker 2: There's nothing.
- 28:30Speaker 3: She will never let this man go ever, ever. She
- 28:33Speaker 3: just won't. Because I think her self-esteem is so low.
- 28:38Speaker 1: She thinks he's the prize.
- 28:40Speaker 3: She thinks this is as good as it's going to get. Girl,
- 28:42Speaker 3: there's plenty of light-skinned men with pretty eyes out there.
- 28:44Speaker 3: You do not have to settle for this person who
- 28:46Speaker 3: looks like a fucking desk that a kid wrote all over. Like, stop.
- 28:52Speaker 3: You can do better than that.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Because you know what?
- 28:55Speaker 3: When she acts like this, this makes me think, like,
- 28:57Speaker 3: if she came in and draw my blood, I'd be like,
- 28:59Speaker 3: is there anyone else? Because I just, I don't trust
- 29:02Speaker 3: her judgment at all.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yeah. There's a baby. There's a baby. Okay. Joey and Kimberly.
- 29:11Speaker 1: So we see his talk with Dr. Ish and he says,
- 29:14Speaker 1: this relationship ain't doing nothing, making us both worse. And
- 29:18Speaker 1: I'm at a point where I don't do drugs anymore,
- 29:22Speaker 1: but this is the, okay. But this is the worst
- 29:24Speaker 1: we ever been.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:26Speaker 1: The two of you, there is, No skin in this game.
- 29:30Speaker 1: There are no children between you. Your children will be
- 29:33Speaker 1: way better off without this guy coming in and out
- 29:35Speaker 1: of your life on drugs, relapse, and going to prison.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Your children don't need to grow up. thinking this is normal.
- 29:42Speaker 2: I doubt he has a job.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Get rid of this guy. There is not any reason
- 29:47Speaker 1: to keep this guy. She's the prize here. Yeah.
- 29:51Speaker 3: And she's not looking at herself like she is.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I don't get it. So she says, We had not
- 29:58Speaker 1: been intimate in five months, and we've only been married
- 30:00Speaker 1: for 18 months. And my mom was like, he's probably
- 30:03Speaker 1: been in prison half the time.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Well, I mean, it's kind of hard to have sex
- 30:08Speaker 3: when you're fucking laid out on a couch because you're
- 30:11Speaker 3: so goddamn high.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's another problem. Remember when they were together, she
- 30:16Speaker 1: was like, we're going to buy this property. We've got
- 30:19Speaker 1: this house with the pool. I was like, don't buy
- 30:20Speaker 1: a house with the pool. He's going to end up
- 30:21Speaker 1: at the bottom of the pool.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Yeah, then that'll be an episode of a date with Dateline.
- 30:25Speaker 1: That's right. Yeah. So she says, I feel like I
- 30:29Speaker 1: have to beg him to love me. And that makes
- 30:31Speaker 1: me resent the shit out of him. And Dr. Ish goes,
- 30:35Speaker 1: all right, well, five months without sex is a long time.
- 30:38Speaker 1: So what's holding you back? And he says, Joey says,
- 30:43Speaker 1: she got clinically pregnant. Does clinically pregnant mean they did IVF?
- 30:53Speaker 3: I seriously doubt.
- 30:55Speaker 1: IUI?
- 30:57Speaker 3: Don't give it too much thought, Mary Payne.
- 30:58Speaker 1: This is Joey talking.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Because notice, no one questioned it. Everyone goes, this stupid
- 31:03Speaker 3: motherfucker right here.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Clinically pregnant.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I don't know what that means.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Was it like an ectopic pregnancy? Like it wasn't a
- 31:10Speaker 1: viable pregnancy?
- 31:10Speaker 3: Maybe that's what it was. But she didn't even correct him.
- 31:15Speaker 1: No. Anyway, he says she got clinically pregnant and lost
- 31:19Speaker 1: the baby. I'm sorry, you guys. Maybe we shouldn't laugh
- 31:23Speaker 1: at this. But it's laughing at him.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Yeah. But every time you say it, it gets funny.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Okay, I'm good. I'm not going to say it again.
- 31:31Speaker 1: So she lost the baby, and he didn't talk to
- 31:34Speaker 1: her about it, but it hurt. So she had some
- 31:38Speaker 1: sort of a baby loss, and he didn't talk to
- 31:41Speaker 1: her about it. And he says, but it hurt. And
- 31:46Speaker 1: this is the second baby I lost like that. Well,
- 31:48Speaker 1: like what? Like what? We don't know.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Anyway, no one's asking questions. Dr. Ish, can you, we
- 31:55Speaker 3: need a Dr. Ish is probably scratching his bald head
- 31:58Speaker 3: trying to figure it out too, because I.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Would say, I don't get it. Kimberly, how do you feel?
- 32:02Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 32:04Speaker 1: If you had pregnancy loss, um, well, are both.
- 32:08Speaker 3: The, were both the pregnancy losses with her or did
- 32:11Speaker 3: he get someone else pregnant? Cause he said two.
- 32:14Speaker 1: And they were in a clinic. It's just unclear. It's
- 32:16Speaker 1: just unclear.
- 32:17Speaker 3: So, all right.
- 32:18Speaker 1: So he, he says, I don't want to get her pregnant.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Because I don't think we'll make it.
- 32:24Speaker 3: There's options to not get a person pregnant and still
- 32:28Speaker 3: have sex with them. Several. Well, this was what was
- 32:33Speaker 3: surprising to me. I thought that when they said they'd
- 32:35Speaker 3: gone five months without having sex, I thought she was
- 32:38Speaker 3: the one withholding sex. Because I wouldn't want to have
- 32:41Speaker 3: sex with a fucking zombie. I wouldn't. But it's him
- 32:46Speaker 3: with all this girl. If you don't give him the
- 32:48Speaker 3: boot right now, he's.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Too fucked up to have sex. He can't do it.
- 32:54Speaker 3: He needs that dick pump. Like that gross meatball guy
- 32:58Speaker 3: from this is Polly had.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. I don't work. So Dr. Ish asked her,
- 33:05Speaker 1: did you know that this was part of his hesitancy?
- 33:08Speaker 1: And she's like, no.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Because he just made it up.
- 33:11Speaker 1: He just made that up right then. He just made
- 33:13Speaker 1: that up. Yep.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Clinically, he just made it up.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Clinically, he went to a clinic and made that up.
- 33:18Speaker 1: So in talking to Eddie, he says, our relationship has
- 33:21Speaker 1: dwindled a lot. And we went through so long without
- 33:25Speaker 1: being intimate. Now it's like a brother-sister thing. And the
- 33:28Speaker 1: affection is not there, but I'd like to get it back.
- 33:31Speaker 2: So the infection.
- 33:33Speaker 1: The affection. But he could have said the infection.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:39Speaker 1: So Dr. Is says, Joey, what would happen if you
- 33:42Speaker 1: initiated sex? And he goes, we would have sex because
- 33:46Speaker 1: it'd be for her because all she wants to do
- 33:48Speaker 1: is have sex.
- 33:50Speaker 2: This is so backwards.
- 33:52Speaker 3: It's just weird.
- 33:53Speaker 1: It's because he's on drugs and he doesn't care about sex.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree.
- 33:57Speaker 1: And Dr. Is says, but what do you get out
- 33:59Speaker 1: of it? And he goes, I think sex maybe is overrated.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Like every night, like that's overrated. And Dr. Is goes, okay,
- 34:07Speaker 1: so what would a perfect number be? of times be
- 34:09Speaker 1: for you? And he goes, three, four times a week.
- 34:13Speaker 1: That's a lot.
- 34:14Speaker 2: That's, that's a lot of sex.
- 34:16Speaker 3: I mean, for me, that's a lot.
- 34:17Speaker 1: That's a lot. Yeah. And, and she goes, I mean,
- 34:22Speaker 1: more than once every five months.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 34:24Speaker 2: I would need it. Yeah.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Most definitely. That's, that's a fucking problem. That's a roommate.
- 34:30Speaker 1: And it's a roommate and it has everything to do
- 34:34Speaker 1: with this drug use, everything to do with this drug use.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Okay. And I could guarantee you, Okay. So they're not
- 34:40Speaker 3: having sex, but they also are not having very stimulating
- 34:43Speaker 3: conversations either. No, just nothing there.
- 34:46Speaker 1: No, she's trying to work and take care of two
- 34:47Speaker 1: little kids. You know, you know, they've got like soccer,
- 34:50Speaker 1: this and karate, that and swim lessons. And, you know,
- 34:54Speaker 1: so we're talking head. Um, Michael says for a man
- 34:57Speaker 1: to go that long, even men that are hurt, they'll
- 35:00Speaker 1: still have sex, but, uh, he has shut her out
- 35:04Speaker 1: with anything, but he is sure her shut her out completely. And, um,
- 35:08Speaker 1: Justine says, some men don't think sex is the end
- 35:12Speaker 1: all be all, Michael. He's like, what? Huh?
- 35:16Speaker 3: No, they do. They pretty much do.
- 35:20Speaker 1: So Melissa and Louie, she says him being a mama's
- 35:25Speaker 1: boy is their number one problem. He's used to this
- 35:28Speaker 1: unconditional love, but a relationship is conditional love. She needs
- 35:32Speaker 1: to make, she needs him to make her feel like
- 35:35Speaker 1: she's respected in the relationship. And he says, I feel
- 35:40Speaker 1: like she's impatient. We fight over these tiny things. And
- 35:43Speaker 1: she goes, he can't even open the fridge and find
- 35:45Speaker 1: the hummus. And he says, she wants to fight. Now,
- 35:49Speaker 1: there's several things going on here.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:53Speaker 1: She's wrong. Yes, when you're with a partner, it is
- 35:56Speaker 1: unconditional love. So that was wrong. She even says, she goes, wow,
- 36:02Speaker 1: I sounded shitty there. You did. She's annoyed because he
- 36:08Speaker 1: wants her to be like his mom. Don't you think?
- 36:11Speaker 1: It's like, because my husband does this too. When we
- 36:14Speaker 1: call this, I'm taking on your emotional baggage or whatever
- 36:19Speaker 1: is the right word. I'm not using the, it'll come
- 36:21Speaker 1: to me by the end of this job. It's like
- 36:23Speaker 1: my husband. Okay. So in our house, this is a
- 36:26Speaker 1: great example. We have the Pura, P-U-R-A, the Pura diffusers.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Right?
- 36:32Speaker 1: And you pop in the little volcano things in your
- 36:34Speaker 1: house smells like the anthropology store. So that's what I love.
- 36:38Speaker 1: I have them everywhere. So Dave said last month, he goes,
- 36:44Speaker 1: you know, those things in the basement, like I need
- 36:45Speaker 1: my smell good in the basement. And I go, okay,
- 36:48Speaker 1: the little things are up here. So just whatever. And
- 36:51Speaker 1: then he never came to ask me where they were.
- 36:52Speaker 1: And I passed by it a hundred times a day.
- 36:54Speaker 1: And I didn't think about it because I'm never in
- 36:56Speaker 1: the basement. I don't care. And so yesterday he's in
- 36:59Speaker 1: the kitchen and I go, hey, those little Pura cartridges
- 37:02Speaker 1: are right there. If you want to grab them, you
- 37:03Speaker 1: can take them to the basement. He goes, oh, yeah.
- 37:06Speaker 1: First of all, it takes him five solid minutes to
- 37:08Speaker 1: find where I'm pointing. Of course. And he goes, and
- 37:10Speaker 1: I go, I'm looking right at them. They're little white
- 37:12Speaker 1: boxes with blue writing. He's like, yep.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Yep.
- 37:16Speaker 1: So I have to get up from what I'm doing.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I hand him the little boxes. I go take him
- 37:20Speaker 1: down there. He starts staring at the boxes. And I go,
- 37:23Speaker 1: you know what? You're going to go downstairs and you're
- 37:27Speaker 1: going to use your context clues. And you're going to
- 37:29Speaker 1: figure out how to take it apart, take the old
- 37:32Speaker 1: ones out, and pop the new ones in. Because you're
- 37:34Speaker 1: going to be able to figure out that I took
- 37:36Speaker 1: this out, so the other one goes in just like it.
- 37:38Speaker 1: You're going to be able to do that. And I
- 37:40Speaker 1: said it just like that, not nicely at all.
- 37:44Speaker 3: It's part of marriage.
- 37:46Speaker 1: And he looked at me like, wow. And Anna was
- 37:52Speaker 1: standing there, and Anna goes... Yeah, dummy, figure it the
- 37:56Speaker 1: fuck out.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, I think you could talk to any
- 38:02Speaker 3: wife and we all have had to do something like
- 38:06Speaker 3: this because as smart as men could be, they could
- 38:08Speaker 3: be fucking dumb.
- 38:09Speaker 1: They just want you to do it for them. Is
- 38:12Speaker 1: that what it is?
- 38:14Speaker 3: Yes.
- 38:14Speaker 1: He wanted me to go, I'll just do it. I'll
- 38:17Speaker 1: just do it. So you don't have to do it.
- 38:19Speaker 1: That's exact. It's called the emotional labor, I think is
- 38:21Speaker 1: what it's called. And it's sort of the same idea
- 38:24Speaker 1: of where did I put my shoes? How the fuck
- 38:26Speaker 1: would I know where you put your shoes? I'm not you.
- 38:28Speaker 1: And I don't know when you came in. And it's like, hey,
- 38:31Speaker 1: have you seen my keys? Why would I know where
- 38:34Speaker 1: your keys were?
- 38:36Speaker 3: Yes.
- 38:36Speaker 2: So it's the same.
- 38:38Speaker 3: It's universal. Like it just happens.
- 38:41Speaker 1: So that's what she's mad about. That's what she's mad
- 38:43Speaker 1: about is that his mom, if he said, mom, where's
- 38:46Speaker 1: the hummus? And he's standing in front of the refrigerator.
- 38:49Speaker 1: His mother would get up from what she's doing, come
- 38:51Speaker 1: into the other room, dig behind the pickles and find
- 38:54Speaker 1: him the hummus. Whereas she's like, move shit around and
- 38:57Speaker 1: find it.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:59Speaker 1: That's what she's mad about. That's what she's mad about.
- 39:02Speaker 1: And I get it because he was so babied by
- 39:04Speaker 1: his mother. And even though he went to jail for
- 39:07Speaker 1: 10 years, his mom still thinks.
- 39:09Speaker 3: In college before that.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Yeah. His mom thinks he hung the moon, you know?
- 39:14Speaker 1: Because it's our only child.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 1: So I get it. So I get it. She said
- 39:19Speaker 1: the thing about the hummus. I was like, okay, now
- 39:21Speaker 1: I know what we're doing dealing with here that was
- 39:24Speaker 1: a complete sidebar so dr ish says to melissa who
- 39:31Speaker 1: told you you had to fight so hard to be
- 39:33Speaker 1: loved and she goes past relationships like i love my
- 39:37Speaker 1: daughter unconditionally so her daughter must be over 18 now
- 39:40Speaker 1: because we get to see her uh-huh um and her
- 39:43Speaker 1: daughter is so cute so cute And she says, but
- 39:47Speaker 1: in a relationship, I think he just expects everything because
- 39:52Speaker 1: we're engaged. And so he doesn't have to put any
- 39:55Speaker 1: effort into it. Okay.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Okay. And I get that. But this is someone who's
- 40:01Speaker 3: never been out on their own, period.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 40:05Speaker 3: I mean, he went from high school to a little
- 40:07Speaker 3: bit of college. I mean, there's a lot of drug
- 40:10Speaker 3: shit going on straight to prison and came out and
- 40:13Speaker 3: went to you and Donna.
- 40:14Speaker 2: And y'all have been fighting over.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Child custody ever since then. So, I mean, there's a
- 40:20Speaker 3: lot of shit that he just doesn't know how to do.
- 40:22Speaker 2: But one thing he does know how to do is
- 40:24Speaker 2: show off those damn dentures.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Because he is going to show you those damn teeth.
- 40:28Speaker 3: He's proud of those teeth.
- 40:29Speaker 1: And he should be.
- 40:30Speaker 2: He must have paid for them.
- 40:32Speaker 1: So, the talking head together, he says, I've never been
- 40:35Speaker 1: in a mature relationship. I never grew up. I did
- 40:39Speaker 1: drugs and then I was in prison for 10 years.
- 40:41Speaker 1: So this is all new to me and I'm trying
- 40:43Speaker 1: to learn.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that's understandable.
- 40:46Speaker 2: And he's such a nice guy too.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Such a nice guy.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:50Speaker 1: So Dr. Is says, so how do you feel you
- 40:54Speaker 1: have to show up to the relationship in order for him? Okay.
- 41:00Speaker 1: For him to continue loving you. And she says, I
- 41:03Speaker 1: think I need to be nicer.
- 41:05Speaker 3: She, she's not nice. I mean, we've seen all the seasons.
- 41:09Speaker 3: She's not the nicest. Yeah. She's very Jersey.
- 41:13Speaker 1: She's very Jersey. Yes, she is.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:16Speaker 1: And she goes, I feel like we aren't on an
- 41:18Speaker 1: intimate level. So he snuggles up to her and puts
- 41:20Speaker 1: his arm around her and, and he goes, this is
- 41:24Speaker 1: not normal. Like I want, she's not a hold hands
- 41:27Speaker 1: in public kind of person. It's like an icky thing
- 41:30Speaker 1: for her. Mm-hmm. And she goes, I want to be
- 41:33Speaker 1: more affectionate, but it gives me anxiety. It makes me
- 41:35Speaker 1: feel claustrophobic. So that's, so that's another, some people just
- 41:40Speaker 1: aren't that way, but I don't know if she's that
- 41:42Speaker 1: way at home too, you know? But, or if she's
- 41:46Speaker 1: just like, I don't want to be a, you know,
- 41:48Speaker 1: a PDA person. Some people are like that.
- 41:50Speaker 3: Which is so weird because we watched this girl in
- 41:53Speaker 3: a cheerleader uniform run up to this man and, Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 3: And jump on him when he got out of prison.
- 41:59Speaker 3: And then we also saw her like break laws to
- 42:02Speaker 3: go to whatever that in between.
- 42:05Speaker 1: His job.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:06Speaker 3: And I think she gave him a hand job.
- 42:09Speaker 1: So when did all this happen? And then remember he
- 42:13Speaker 1: had to stay in for like six more months for her.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Yeah. That was a hell of a hand job.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I hope it was at least.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:22Speaker 1: In the talking head together, she goes, I don't really
- 42:25Speaker 1: know how to give and receive affection without being scared.
- 42:29Speaker 1: It feels different and weird. And he goes, well, it's
- 42:31Speaker 1: supposed to feel good. And she goes, this is why
- 42:34Speaker 1: we're here. All right. Brittany and Marcelino. We see their interviews.
- 42:41Speaker 1: And she says, Marcelino and I separated because of his infidelity.
- 42:45Speaker 1: And he goes, she's got a laundry list of things
- 42:48Speaker 1: I've done. She could not control me in a manner
- 42:51Speaker 1: that would give into her needs, but my needs fulfilled
- 42:55Speaker 1: as well. And I expect a wife to listen and
- 43:00Speaker 1: obey the path that I'm trying to go down. Oh, not.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Obey.
- 43:07Speaker 1: So I said, before we go further, I did not
- 43:09Speaker 1: realize maybe that he was like this, that he was like,
- 43:12Speaker 1: listen and obey and you're my wife and you should
- 43:14Speaker 1: do it. I don't know if... I mean, I could
- 43:17Speaker 1: see it because he's kind of got that Latino machismo
- 43:20Speaker 1: thing going on.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:24Speaker 3: So this was so weird because she always brings up
- 43:27Speaker 3: the infidelity and she was the one who opened Pandera's box.
- 43:33Speaker 3: She's the one who said, let's have threesomes. Let's do this.
- 43:36Speaker 3: Let's do that. I mean, whenever you do, and I'm
- 43:38Speaker 3: not saying that he's right, but whenever you do that,
- 43:42Speaker 3: there's always the risk of, That person and the third
- 43:46Speaker 3: person getting together, which is what happened with them. Yeah.
- 43:49Speaker 3: I mean, he started having sex with her friend off
- 43:51Speaker 3: to the side. Yeah. Which is not an excuse to
- 43:56Speaker 3: be an asshole. All right.
- 43:58Speaker 1: So she says, but when we separated, he also separated
- 44:03Speaker 1: from Giovanni, her little adorable son. And she goes, and
- 44:07Speaker 1: that was dad to Gio since he was two years old.
- 44:11Speaker 3: That was surprising to hear that he did that because
- 44:13Speaker 3: they were pretty.
- 44:14Speaker 2: He loved that little boy.
- 44:15Speaker 1: And that little boy loves him. Yeah. And we see
- 44:19Speaker 1: him saying, men have to raise men. A woman can't
- 44:23Speaker 1: raise a man.
- 44:23Speaker 3: And every single guy shook their head yes.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Justine was like, Mm-hmm.
- 44:30Speaker 2: We have to do it all.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Women do it all the fucking time.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Women do it all the time. And I don't know
- 44:34Speaker 1: what the fuck you're talking about.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Right? Well, all the men agreed. They were all like, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
- 44:39Speaker 1: But I think Marcelino didn't have his dad in his life.
- 44:42Speaker 3: He didn't.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Okay. So it didn't turn out so great for him.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Nope.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Okay. So Brittany says, I'm very triggered by this. She says,
- 44:53Speaker 1: I feel like he plucked me from prison. So he
- 44:56Speaker 1: can mold me and control me. And since I didn't
- 44:59Speaker 1: do that, he lost interest in me. And he's like, no.
- 45:03Speaker 1: And she goes, this is how I feel. And he says,
- 45:06Speaker 1: you could do whatever you want with whoever you want,
- 45:08Speaker 1: whenever you want. And she goes, that's what you say.
- 45:11Speaker 1: That's what you say. And I've told him, maybe you
- 45:14Speaker 1: need a girl that'll just bow down and submit, but
- 45:17Speaker 1: it's not going to be me.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Okay. I think he's right when he, she said he
- 45:21Speaker 3: wanted someone to mold.
- 45:23Speaker 2: He seems like that type.
- 45:24Speaker 1: We saw it right away when she came out and
- 45:27Speaker 1: he like took the plate of food away from her
- 45:30Speaker 1: and all this stuff. And, but then our journey was
- 45:34Speaker 1: that because he was so good with the kids and stuff.
- 45:37Speaker 3: We were like, we forgave every, we overlooked a lot.
- 45:41Speaker 1: We did. We did.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Cause he was, so he was great with the kids.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And he was pretty great with her and like her.
- 45:49Speaker 2: It was very supportive.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Very supportive. So she says, um, And she says, and
- 45:55Speaker 1: besides all of that, my poor son, you withhold affection
- 45:59Speaker 1: from him. And Marcelina starts with, well, you've allowed him.
- 46:03Speaker 1: And she goes, I've allowed him to be a kid
- 46:06Speaker 1: because you're too hard on him. And Dr. Ish goes, okay, Brittany,
- 46:11Speaker 1: hold on here. Like, press pause. Like, let him talk.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Let Marcelina talk. And Marcelina says, Gio... easily feels he
- 46:19Speaker 1: can tell me, I hate you. I wish you were dead.
- 46:21Speaker 1: You're not my dad. Now, how am I supposed to
- 46:23Speaker 1: take that as the man who has been in his
- 46:25Speaker 1: life for the last eight years? And she goes, I'm sorry.
- 46:28Speaker 1: And I do agree with you about that.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Right.
- 46:31Speaker 1: He shouldn't speak that way. And Marcelina goes, well, I
- 46:34Speaker 1: don't want to hear this shit. So Dr. Ish says,
- 46:37Speaker 1: but like, hold on, because she was actually trying to
- 46:39Speaker 1: agree with you and give you an apology. And he goes,
- 46:43Speaker 1: she's got no apologies in her. And she goes, neither
- 46:47Speaker 1: do you. She says, you disowned him to hurt me.
- 46:51Speaker 1: You're doing the same thing your dad and stepdad did
- 46:54Speaker 1: to you. You just abandoned him. And he goes, I'm
- 46:59Speaker 1: not trying to hear this shit. I'm not trying to
- 47:00Speaker 1: hear this shit. So she goes, I need a minute.
- 47:02Speaker 3: She was trying to trigger him.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 47:04Speaker 3: I think she was kind of like shots fired whenever
- 47:07Speaker 3: she's because she didn't have to say that.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Right then and there.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Well, I think that. She's like, can't you see the pattern?
- 47:13Speaker 1: You know, your dad left you and then your stepdad
- 47:16Speaker 1: left you. Just like you're the stepdad leaving, you know.
- 47:19Speaker 3: Right.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Gio. Okay. So she leaves and comes back and she says.
- 47:24Speaker 2: She needed a cigarette. Yeah.
- 47:26Speaker 1: She had to take a second.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:27Speaker 1: So she comes back and goes, okay, I want to
- 47:29Speaker 1: talk about Gio. So she goes, he's not lying. He's
- 47:33Speaker 1: not lying. When those two start going at it, it's
- 47:36Speaker 1: a 10 year old and a grown man. When those
- 47:40Speaker 1: two start going at it, I interfere immediately because I
- 47:42Speaker 1: won't allow him to do that to my son. And
- 47:46Speaker 1: he says, that's incorrect. And she says, as soon as
- 47:50Speaker 1: Rubble and Zoila, those are their two biological kids together.
- 47:53Speaker 1: As soon as Rubble and Zoila came along, you pushed
- 47:56Speaker 1: him to the side and he feels it.
- 47:59Speaker 3: That sometimes does happen. Yeah. But this is a situation where,
- 48:05Speaker 3: I mean, Giovanni's dad is not in the picture.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Because remember, he went off to prison.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:12Speaker 3: So it's not like he had this other person intervening
- 48:16Speaker 3: or anything like that. I mean, basically that you were
- 48:19Speaker 3: the dad.
- 48:19Speaker 1: The dad, yeah. So the talking head, Marcelina, says, I
- 48:23Speaker 1: met Gio when he was three. And I've been with
- 48:25Speaker 1: him ever since until recently when Brittany asked me to
- 48:28Speaker 1: just bow out and leave him alone. But I think
- 48:31Speaker 1: if Brittany's like, If you're not going to be consistent
- 48:34Speaker 1: and you're just going to fight with him, then it's
- 48:36Speaker 1: better just to not be around, you know?
- 48:38Speaker 3: But then you have to say, you have to look
- 48:41Speaker 3: at it like, what if he were his biological dad?
- 48:43Speaker 3: Would she say the same thing? I think you would
- 48:47Speaker 3: try to make it work, figure it out. It's a
- 48:51Speaker 3: weird toss.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Up with this.
- 48:54Speaker 3: So Dr.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Is says, Marcelina, do you think this is fair to Gio?
- 48:59Speaker 1: And he goes, no, I want what is best for
- 49:01Speaker 1: the boy. I love him and I want to be
- 49:03Speaker 1: in his life. And she says, do you call him?
- 49:06Speaker 1: Do you check in with him? Do you pick him up?
- 49:09Speaker 1: Do you take him to do things? Do you have
- 49:10Speaker 1: alone time with him? You just come over and immediately like,
- 49:13Speaker 1: did he do this? Do you do his chores? You
- 49:15Speaker 1: just go after him. And he goes, it's called goddamn discipline.
- 49:19Speaker 1: And I'm the man. And she says, you have no
- 49:22Speaker 1: emotion towards him. By being so overly stern and not
- 49:26Speaker 1: having balance, you're teaching them to be just as hard
- 49:29Speaker 1: as your heart is. So I think the point is
- 49:32Speaker 1: he just comes in because he's like weekend dad or whatever.
- 49:35Speaker 1: And just immediately he's like, Looks like the trash needs
- 49:38Speaker 1: to be taken out. Do you not do that, Gio? Like,
- 49:39Speaker 1: he just immediately goes after him and doesn't, like, sit
- 49:42Speaker 1: down and be like, let's play Xbox or tell me
- 49:44Speaker 1: about school or, hey, let's go get some ice cream
- 49:47Speaker 1: or just something and have a conversation. He just immediately
- 49:50Speaker 1: comes in, probably because he only sees him, like, once
- 49:52Speaker 1: a week or something.
- 49:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:54Speaker 1: And probably because he's picking up the other kids and
- 49:56Speaker 1: leaves Gio there. Not him.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:58Speaker 2: That's exactly what's happening.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Horrible. So, they're talking it together, he says. I feel
- 50:04Speaker 1: like I try to discipline them. But then she comes
- 50:07Speaker 1: in and steps on my toes and overrules me and
- 50:10Speaker 1: undercuts me. And she says, you have withheld love and
- 50:14Speaker 1: affection for my son for so many years. So damn straight,
- 50:17Speaker 1: I'm going to interfere every single time.
- 50:19Speaker 3: I mean, I can't fault her for that.
- 50:22Speaker 1: And poor Chio, he's got to see it. No.
- 50:24Speaker 3: He's got to see.
- 50:27Speaker 1: He comes in as an asshole to me. My mom
- 50:28Speaker 1: has to step in. It's horrible. Yep.
- 50:32Speaker 3: This is really, they need something other than, well, we
- 50:35Speaker 3: know he filed for divorce in July, so hopefully they're
- 50:38Speaker 3: not even together.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I think that if he's going to continue to be
- 50:43Speaker 1: a father to Gia, the three of them have to
- 50:46Speaker 1: sit together with a family therapist, you know. So Dr.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Ish says to everyone, the whole group, It's not a
- 50:54Speaker 1: shame and blame situation. Everybody's got stuff. Everybody's got pressure points.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Everybody has those things that trigger you. We shut down,
- 51:03Speaker 1: we dismiss, or we explode. And I'm going to peel
- 51:06Speaker 1: back those layers. When you're feeling the most raw and
- 51:09Speaker 1: angry and want to call an Uber, I'm going to
- 51:11Speaker 1: ask you to push through. Let's go get some food.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Let's hang out. Let's talk about what's next. So they're like,
- 51:18Speaker 1: thank God.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Can we put our purses down? Can we change shoes?
- 51:21Speaker 3: Nope.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Take your purse with you. Okay.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Just make sure Alexis didn't have nothing to do with
- 51:24Speaker 3: the food. E. coli, salmonella, just all the things.
- 51:32Speaker 1: If you guys don't know about Keisha, if you fuck
- 51:33Speaker 1: up some food on this show, she's going to remember
- 51:35Speaker 1: it for four years.
- 51:37Speaker 3: There's a such thing as fucking up, but this bitch
- 51:40Speaker 3: tried to kill them. Okay.
- 51:41Speaker 2: That bacon was raw.
- 51:44Speaker 1: But it was like burnt on the ends. Do you
- 51:49Speaker 1: know I do my bacon now in the oven? And
- 51:51Speaker 1: somebody told me to do that. I was like, that's stupid.
- 51:52Speaker 1: It's not going to be crispy. But let me tell you,
- 51:54Speaker 1: it really works.
- 51:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:55Speaker 1: You do it on a piece of tinfoil on a
- 51:58Speaker 1: cookie sheet. Put it in the oven 400. Yeah.
- 52:00Speaker 3: It's so good. I love me some bacon. So much easier.
- 52:05Speaker 1: Okay. So in the talking head, Kimberly says, I don't
- 52:09Speaker 1: have anybody to talk to at home. You know why?
- 52:13Speaker 1: Because everybody thinks you're stupid and nobody wants to discuss
- 52:16Speaker 1: this with you.
- 52:17Speaker 2: And your dad still thinks Joey stole.
- 52:19Speaker 3: His four-wheeler all those years ago.
- 52:22Speaker 1: He was 16. She says, you know, I don't have anybody. Sorry,
- 52:29Speaker 1: I'm yawning. Don't have anybody to talk to at home
- 52:32Speaker 1: about this. So now I feel good. I'm going to
- 52:35Speaker 1: have a group of women I can talk to and
- 52:37Speaker 1: I'm feeling kind of hopeful. At least she's like at
- 52:38Speaker 1: the very least I get some friends out of it
- 52:40Speaker 1: that can understand what I'm going through.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 52:43Speaker 1: So they all sit down to eat, and Louie says,
- 52:45Speaker 1: I really want to thank everybody for being here. I
- 52:47Speaker 1: think it's going to be a long road. We've got
- 52:50Speaker 1: to make the best of it because, you know, he
- 52:51Speaker 1: is like a personal trainer, and he's trying to, like,
- 52:53Speaker 1: pump everybody up.
- 52:54Speaker 2: He might as well have put on that cheerleader outfit
- 52:56Speaker 2: that Melissa has.
- 52:57Speaker 3: He is cheering everyone on right now.
- 53:00Speaker 1: So they all chat and Melissa laughs and goes, God,
- 53:03Speaker 1: we were watching that video. And I was like, wow,
- 53:05Speaker 1: maybe it is me. And they're all kind of laughing.
- 53:09Speaker 1: And the guys then talk about prison food and how
- 53:12Speaker 1: they would improvise and be creative. Like they have this
- 53:14Speaker 1: whole side conversation. The talking head Marcelino tells us, I
- 53:18Speaker 1: have a very hard time being around Brittany. I can't
- 53:21Speaker 1: respect someone who doesn't respect me. And I'm wondering what
- 53:25Speaker 1: I got myself into here. So she, so he's laying
- 53:29Speaker 1: on a bench outside and she goes outside and she goes, Hey,
- 53:32Speaker 1: are you okay? You know, she's, I feel like this
- 53:35Speaker 1: is the second time she's like, try to be nice
- 53:37Speaker 1: to him, you know?
- 53:39Speaker 3: But I think that shit can go left really quickly.
- 53:41Speaker 3: And I think that's what he's fearful of.
- 53:44Speaker 1: But I think she's also fearful of it, but she's like, okay,
- 53:46Speaker 1: I'm going to like, try we're here, you know? So
- 53:50Speaker 1: he says, it's clear. We're not compatible. We're trying to
- 53:54Speaker 1: fit a square into a hole. It's not working. The
- 53:56Speaker 1: kids do not deserve this. And she goes, okay, I
- 53:59Speaker 1: agree with you. And she's like, we agree. This is
- 54:03Speaker 1: not going to work. We're going to get divorced, whatever.
- 54:05Speaker 1: And she says, but I feel like I have unresolved
- 54:08Speaker 1: things and clearly you do as well. And he goes,
- 54:11Speaker 1: I can't even have a conversation with you about what
- 54:13Speaker 1: color the sky is without arguing. And she goes, but
- 54:17Speaker 1: you're the only person I argue with. And he goes, good.
- 54:21Speaker 1: And then he gets up and walks off and she's like, okay, great.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:26Speaker 3: This is pretty, this is probably, Aside from Joey's obvious
- 54:32Speaker 3: drug issue, I think this is the worst couple right here.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:36Speaker 1: They need to be in therapy weekly to co-parent.
- 54:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Yes.
- 54:42Speaker 1: So I'm talking to have Louie and Melissa say, okay,
- 54:45Speaker 1: we're nervous. We're not looking forward to being thrown into
- 54:48Speaker 1: another exercise. So they're like, okay, outside. And they have
- 54:52Speaker 1: everybody stand on a line and the women are still
- 54:54Speaker 1: in the heels and have their purses. Like Alexis is
- 54:56Speaker 1: wearing a backpack.
- 54:57Speaker 2: Okay.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Girl, your baby is not with you. Why do you
- 55:00Speaker 3: have a diaper bag attached to your back right now?
- 55:05Speaker 1: So he says, we're going to play a game to
- 55:07Speaker 1: see how well we know each other. So if your
- 55:10Speaker 1: answer is yes to my question, step over the line.
- 55:14Speaker 1: Who here has gone to jail? So every single person
- 55:17Speaker 1: steps over except Alexis.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:20Speaker 3: And I believe it.
- 55:21Speaker 1: And Kimberly's like, okay, what? I got arrested at 17.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I was hanging around people doing stuff they shouldn't be doing.
- 55:27Speaker 1: And I squealed on everybody and my dad picked me up.
- 55:33Speaker 3: And her dad probably still talks shit about you.
- 55:35Speaker 1: Yeah, right.
- 55:36Speaker 3: Because we know he loves to hold on to something.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Joey was probably one of them. Okay, next question. Does
- 55:42Speaker 1: anyone worry about stepping into old patterns? So Julia steps forward.
- 55:48Speaker 1: And this is like the most we've ever heard him
- 55:51Speaker 1: say of anything that has any sense.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 55:55Speaker 1: He says, I do worry because taking the right path
- 55:58Speaker 1: is new to me. And a lot of my friends
- 56:00Speaker 1: are on the wrong path. And Marcelina goes, you have
- 56:03Speaker 1: to get rid of those people. You have to get
- 56:05Speaker 1: rid of them. You have to rely upon a support
- 56:07Speaker 1: system that will send you in a positive direction. Now,
- 56:10Speaker 1: we come from a show that I quickly saw as
- 56:12Speaker 1: a docuseries on how to combat recidivism. And he's right.
- 56:17Speaker 1: He is right. And Dr. Ish says, yeah, okay, good. Okay, good.
- 56:21Speaker 1: So let's talk. What's the rate of recidivism? Now, literally,
- 56:26Speaker 1: you know, Julius is like, what does that mean? Question.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Spelling.
- 56:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 56:34Speaker 1: And Joey goes, and he says, what's the rate of recidivism?
- 56:37Speaker 1: It is 75% chance that you'll go back to prison
- 56:41Speaker 1: within three years of getting out. And Joey goes, for me,
- 56:45Speaker 1: it's three months.
- 56:47Speaker 3: That's not a badge of honor. This wasn't your flex moment.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Oh, God. And he says, what's the one thing that
- 56:57Speaker 1: protects you? Do you know? Does anybody know? Being in
- 57:00Speaker 1: love with your partner. Having a good partner and a
- 57:03Speaker 1: successful relationship. It doesn't have to be perfect, but having
- 57:07Speaker 1: someone there that you're accountable to. And if you don't
- 57:10Speaker 1: have that, that number goes up to 85%. So this
- 57:13Speaker 1: is why this part matters. Mm-hmm. So we're talking ahead.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Joey goes, I've always been involved in drugs. Really? We're stunned.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Newsflash.
- 57:26Speaker 1: There's not what one person never stopped me from doing drugs,
- 57:29Speaker 1: and that's Kimberly. And without her, I'd be dead or
- 57:33Speaker 1: in jail. I think it's probably still going to go
- 57:35Speaker 1: that way, but you're just stretching it out. I'm going
- 57:38Speaker 1: to be honest. I mean. Because you look half dead already.
- 57:41Speaker 1: This is not a person who's really trying to work
- 57:44Speaker 1: a program.
- 57:45Speaker 2: No.
- 57:45Speaker 3: No.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Not at all. Listen, addiction is addiction. It's hard. It's
- 57:50Speaker 1: a different journey for everybody. But he's not changing. He's choosing,
- 57:56Speaker 1: in the words of Dr.
- 57:57Speaker 3: Ish.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Okay? It's my new phrase. I'm going to go downstairs
- 58:00Speaker 1: right now to Anna and be like, you're not changing.
- 58:02Speaker 1: You're choosing. Get off the couch.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Oh, you're going to get cussed out.
- 58:07Speaker 1: You know, that's true. So next question. Step across the
- 58:12Speaker 1: line if you're actually ready to start a new journey
- 58:15Speaker 1: of healing. A Hill and Journey, if you're Whitney from
- 58:18Speaker 1: Salt Lake City.
- 58:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Michael does not step across. Let's clear the air. Clear
- 58:25Speaker 1: the air. Whitney Rose. Whitney Rose. Michael does not step across.
- 58:30Speaker 1: And talking to him, he goes, I do not want
- 58:32Speaker 1: to be here. I don't want no doctor trying to
- 58:34Speaker 1: dig into my past and my wife looking at me
- 58:36Speaker 1: like I'm weak. I just want to go somewhere where
- 58:39Speaker 1: I can be myself. And that's it. Fuck all this shit.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 58:44Speaker 2: They go to prison.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Okay. And Michael, I mean, I mean, all right, this
- 58:49Speaker 1: season on. So these are the quick clips that we get.
- 58:52Speaker 1: Normally I don't write this down, but it was too
- 58:53Speaker 1: good not to write down.
- 58:54Speaker 2: It looks real good.
- 58:56Speaker 1: We see him having a pool party. Hilarious. We see
- 58:59Speaker 1: them doing like a painting thing where they paint each other.
- 59:03Speaker 1: They go to some sort of dance, like a prom
- 59:05Speaker 1: or something. It's probably like a lot of you didn't
- 59:07Speaker 1: get to go to your high school prom. So we're
- 59:08Speaker 1: going to do one. The girls swing on the pole
- 59:12Speaker 1: in Justine's room. And then Alexis says, that's why I
- 59:17Speaker 1: got the nine G's. Does she get $ 9, 000 for swinging
- 59:21Speaker 1: on a pole? I didn't get that because again, no subtitles.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Joey tells Kimberly, one thing I love about you is
- 59:32Speaker 1: how you always put yourself last. And she goes, you
- 59:36Speaker 1: shouldn't love that.
- 59:38Speaker 3: No idiot. I mean, you can think that, but you
- 59:42Speaker 3: don't actually say those words to your wife.
- 59:46Speaker 1: That was bad. That was a, he sees so stupid. And, um,
- 59:50Speaker 1: Michael says, don't make it seem like I came home
- 59:53Speaker 1: and I was a monster. Um, Brittany cries and says
- 59:58Speaker 1: to Marcelina, I don't want you to ruin my son.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Alexis says to Julius, do you love me? Am I enough?
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: No. No and no.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: No and no.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Never.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: Never from the start.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Louis says to Melissa, why are you trying to rush
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: someone who's not ready to get married? Justine says to Michael,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: you come at me like an inmate. Joey says to Kimberly, hey,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: you know what I'm fixing to do? I'm fixing to
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: go get high. Great.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: At least we got some honesty going on.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Announce it to the cameras. Yeah. Marcelino says to Brittany,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: do you want to go through the divorce? Obviously. Joey
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: then tells production, take my mic off.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: I'm going home.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: And Louie says- Uber. This is how you call Uber.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: Uber.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Does it show up when you just yell it into
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: the air?
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: Uber. He has no fucking money to pay the Uber driver.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: He knows how to do nothing.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: They don't give him a phone. Then we see Louie going, well,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: we started off with five couples. Now we're down to four.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Who's going to leave? We see Marcelino say he's out.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: We see Kimberly say she's out. We see Michael say
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: he's out. We see everybody at some point says they're out.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: If I had to guess... joey gets kicked out for
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: doing drugs because we did see in a preview that
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: dr ish is drug testing joey.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: That that was a waste of a drug kid why
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: do you like it's obvious like to even to us.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: We knew the answer we knew the answer oh god
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: bless um listen again you guys addiction is It's scary
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and it's sad and it's in my life. It's in
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: your life. We all know somebody personally or not. So
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: the addiction part of it is really sad. But then
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: you look at somebody like Michael, who is repenting for
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: his sins of getting people addicted to drugs. You've got Louie,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: who has literally worked every single step of the program.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: You look at somebody like Brittany, who got herself clean
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: and sober in prison for her children. You know, it
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: can be done. Yeah.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: And then there's Joey.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: And then there's Joey. And I don't know what kind of,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: he doesn't.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: He's putting forth no effort.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: He's putting forth no effort. And he also has somebody
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: there that's constantly bailing him out.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: His mother, his wife.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: You know, remember his mother was just so, oh God.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: And she was so sweet to those kids. Oh God.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Anyway, guys.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: She just didn't want Joey to live with her. She
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: was adamant. He is not coming to live with me.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: No way, no how. I don't blame her.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Well, I am very excited about this show. I do
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: feel like we're finally getting a real therapist on our television.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: And I'm not going to watch Mama June to see Dr.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Ish do something else. But I'm thrilled about this. And
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I hope that they keep this going. And I hope
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: we get more Dr. Ish on our TV for other shows.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: They need to take Dr. Ish to the last resort castle.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: They could really help those people.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: I mean, some of those people are. I don't know.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: I've seen him wear some miracles.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: That's true.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: Maybe he can help Darcy and Stacy with their love life.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: He'd be like, first of all, what's happening here? What's
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: going on with your look?
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: I think he's like, let's start with like loving ourselves
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Let's start with our body image. Let's start with our
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: body image.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Let's work on ourselves as individuals. Oh, Lord. You and
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I could be therapists. Not like Dr. Ish, though.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: But we could have our own show.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: You need to start.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: You know more people than I do. I need you
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: to start pitching it. All right.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Damn, Mary Payne.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I don't want to be on TV.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Just add that one more thing to the list. I know.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I don't want to be on TV.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: Well, oh, well, are you another beach house?
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: You can have five beach houses. Okay.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Oh, you're so terrible. Okay. You guys, thanks very much.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: And I want to remind all of you, if you're
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: new here, we, um, we do mugshot Mondays on Mondays.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: We've been doing it for years. We have had, uh,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: we TV has popped in these other shows and we're
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: still covering that. We're not happy about it. Uh, we
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: are here in our happy place with love after lockdown.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: And if you're not familiar, uh, Cover TLC on Tuesdays,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Bravo on Thursdays, the secondary TLC 90-day show on Fridays.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: And Keisha and I have been doing a Welcome to
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Plathville rewatch. We're in season five now.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: And some of them need to be.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: In jail. Some of them really need Dr.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Ish. They need Dr.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Ish.
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: Now, it's going to take them five sessions to get
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: over the fact that.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: A black person is talking to them.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: But....
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: But so we're doing that on Wednesdays. And I want
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: to remind you guys, Keisha has a great podcast called
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: The Libra Lounge with Keisha. This week, she's got a
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: plastic surgeon on.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: And you said something else you had on this week
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: that I was interested in. What was it?
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: Last week, we had my spiritual advisor. He comes on
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: once a month and he does like the monthly Zodiac readings.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: And he is like the best person you will ever
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: meet in your life.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Okay. Well, I need to go listen to that because
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: another fun fact, Keisha and I have the same birthday.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: So if it applies to you, technically, shouldn't it apply
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: to me? Different ears.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: You're different, though. You're different.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Wow. Whoa, that did not sound like a compliment.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: No, you can say that exactly the same way to me,
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: but like, bitch, you're different. But when we're alike, we are.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: We're alike. Yeah.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: We share our brain quite a lot. Oh, God. And
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: we get to see each other this week. No.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: You guys, Libra Fest is this weekend. It's New York City.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: It is Saturday night at Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. Now,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: there are tickets available. So if you're in New York
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: or you're going to New York, it did sell out.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: But if you go to the Pink Shade Facebook group,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: the group, not like the official page, the group, or
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Amy Archer has, little misrecap, she has an official group
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: for her Backdoor Friends group. It is pinned at the top,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: the Libra Fest ticket exchange. Several people have DM'd me
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: to say that at the last minute they can't come
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: and they have tickets, but they're not on Facebook. And
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: I've got their information. So if you want a ticket,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: DM me on Instagram. I'll put you in touch with
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: the people that I know that have tickets because we
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: want every single ticket to be used. We don't want
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: any to go to waste. And we have like fun
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: little giveaways that I'm working on. I'm so excited. So excited.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: I mean, I can't think of anything better than coming
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: to see us.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I know. We're just going to mix and mingle. It's
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: just going to be like a fun cocktail party, specialty drinks,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: specialty little giveaways. It's going to be super fun, guys.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: So if you're in New York and you don't have
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: a ticket, DM me and I'll see if I can
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: hook you up with somebody who's got a ticket for you.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Because you can't just show up. Because Producer James is
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: going to be there checking people in.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: Oh, I hope he has to chase someone down. That
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: will be hilarious for me, if only just for me.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Here he goes. He's on the loose.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: We're going to have so much fun, guys. So, again,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: follow us on social media. The Libra Lounge with Keisha,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Pink Shade Pod. We'll be also reporting all weekend from there.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: But we'll see you on Wednesday to talk about Plathville
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: over on Pink Shade Prime. Okay, bye.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Bye.
