- 0:04Speaker 1: My name is Victor Furman. Some call me the Voice.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I've always been fascinated with human nature, spirituality, science and
- 0:15Speaker 1: the crossroads at which they meet. Join me now and
- 0:18Speaker 1: we will explore these topics and so much more with
- 0:22Speaker 1: fascinating guests, authors and experts who will guide us to
- 0:28Speaker 1: destination unlimited. Sue Elliott used to be a pretty normal person.
- 0:39Speaker 1: She was a successful magazine editor and writer for thirty
- 0:43Speaker 1: plus years. She specialized in creating brand new automotive, Enthusiast
- 0:48Speaker 1: and chef Recipe food magazines. Then she launched her baby,
- 0:54Speaker 1: a personal transformation magazine called Law of Attraction that was
- 0:58Speaker 1: sold on Ustand's nationwide. In the midst of all that,
- 1:03Speaker 1: about twenty years ago, Sue began hearing messages from the Angels.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Not long after that, the angels started training her to
- 1:12Speaker 1: coach people in a unique way by allowing the Angels
- 1:16Speaker 1: to ask questions and provide guidance through Sue. For the
- 1:21Speaker 1: last two decades, Sue served as a successful and beloved
- 1:25Speaker 1: angel coach, but recently the angels guided her to stop
- 1:29Speaker 1: doing private coaching. Instead, they told her to make their
- 1:33Speaker 1: most potent messages accessible to far more people through a
- 1:37Speaker 1: book called My Angel Coach, Receive your divine guidance and
- 1:42Speaker 1: Feel the Angel's Love, which contains sixty three messages to
- 1:46Speaker 1: support and uplift people. Each chapter starts with a colorful
- 1:51Speaker 1: angel attainment that effortlessly dissolves subconscious programming, limiting beliefs, and
- 1:58Speaker 1: other gunk for you. Her website is Myanngelcoach dot com
- 2:03Speaker 1: and she joins me this week to share her path
- 2:05Speaker 1: and book. Please join me in welcoming to Destination Unlimited.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Sue Elliott, Welcome, Sue.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Thank you, Victor, thank you for the opportunity to connect Sue.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Before we discuss angels and your book, there is a
- 2:21Speaker 1: rumor that you are what they called in the nineteen
- 2:23Speaker 1: eighties and nineties of Valley Girl. Can you talk a
- 2:27Speaker 1: little val speak for me?
- 2:29Speaker 2: Like totally, Oh my god, and yes i am. I'm
- 2:34Speaker 2: from that valley, the San Fandano.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Valley in LA.
- 2:38Speaker 1: And just for listeners who are not aware, how do
- 2:39Speaker 1: you define a valley girl?
- 2:41Speaker 3: Oh?
- 2:42Speaker 2: Well, it was really more geographical than anything else. It's
- 2:46Speaker 2: the northern part of Los Angeles and it's where that
- 2:49Speaker 2: Moon Unit Zappa song kicked off.
- 2:51Speaker 3: The whole thing.
- 2:51Speaker 2: So I'm a Valley Girl of that era. That song
- 2:54Speaker 2: actually came out when I was in high school.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Wonderful. So when we picture someone who communicates with angels,
- 3:01Speaker 1: there are those who might think of someone very woo woo,
- 3:05Speaker 1: But you're kind of the opposite. Is it true that
- 3:07Speaker 1: you're a recovering Ivy League intellectual?
- 3:11Speaker 3: Yes, i am.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I went to Cornell, graduated VI Beta Kappa. I was
- 3:16Speaker 2: all about figuring things out and being smart. And yeah,
- 3:22Speaker 2: it's been quite a journey to let go of that,
- 3:24Speaker 2: and it's still ongoing. I still try and process things
- 3:27Speaker 2: between my ears and then there are angels. Remind me
- 3:29Speaker 2: again and again, no, tune into your divine guidance, feel
- 3:33Speaker 2: your way forward.
- 3:34Speaker 3: This is the superpower.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Actually, you know what, a combination of the both is
- 3:38Speaker 1: not that bad, is it.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It's not so.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I find that the mind is very valuable. It's not
- 3:44Speaker 2: like we're trying to kill the mind or shut her.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Up all the time.
- 3:47Speaker 2: But it's about giving her a different task to formulate
- 3:51Speaker 2: really powerful questions or to spot patterns, rather than worrying
- 3:58Speaker 2: and scenario planning being anxious all the time.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Now, I have a question, did you really crawl around
- 4:05Speaker 1: in greasy garages? Taking pictures of car parts.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I sure did for many years.
- 4:11Speaker 2: For over twenty years, I was a car magazine editor
- 4:14Speaker 2: and writer, and I worked on oh everything, from hot
- 4:18Speaker 2: Rod Magazine, sports Check, I founded a magazine for the
- 4:23Speaker 2: Barrett Jackson collector car auction folks, and about the TV
- 4:27Speaker 2: show overhauland and I wrote a lot of tech articles.
- 4:29Speaker 3: So yeah, I was wearing a T.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Shirt and jeans, carrying a camera shooting how two articles
- 4:34Speaker 2: on rebuilding your first engine or swapping from drum brakes
- 4:37Speaker 2: to disc brakes, And it was really fun. It's a
- 4:40Speaker 2: passion industry full of people who absolutely love what they
- 4:43Speaker 2: get paid to do.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Besides all of those years working on car magazines, you
- 4:49Speaker 1: also created celebrity chef magazines.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yes, I moved to the Napa Valley in two thousand
- 4:56Speaker 2: and seven and I started writing about restaurants and wineries
- 5:00Speaker 2: and the head of business development for the publishing company
- 5:03Speaker 2: I was working with.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I was always consulting for them. At this point.
- 5:07Speaker 2: It was called Source, which I thought was awesome. Source
- 5:09Speaker 2: published my magazines. It's so divine me perfect. But yeah,
- 5:14Speaker 2: they wanted to start a series of food magazines and
- 5:16Speaker 2: we didn't have a test kitchen or a whole staff
- 5:18Speaker 2: like you know, Cook's Illustrated or a Taste of Home
- 5:21Speaker 2: or some of the big magazines. So at the time,
- 5:23Speaker 2: chefs were the new rock stars, and I pitched the
- 5:27Speaker 2: idea of doing chef recipe magazines and they loved it
- 5:29Speaker 2: and they sold really well. It was super fun to
- 5:32Speaker 2: get to follow another passion of mine.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I've got to ask your favorite chef.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Oh gosh, that's like asking your favorite child or your
- 5:41Speaker 2: favorite flower.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I guess I had to pick one. It probably would be.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Richard Reddington. You probably haven't heard of him. The other
- 5:52Speaker 2: one would be Thomas Keller. I used to live in
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yontvillain and Napa Valley, which some people call Thomas Kellerville
- 5:57Speaker 2: because that's where the French laundry is, where his Bouchon
- 6:00Speaker 2: Bakery is.
- 6:01Speaker 3: He's amazing and.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Your favorite and your favorite recipe.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Oh you know.
- 6:07Speaker 2: The ironic thing and what actually made me a good
- 6:10Speaker 2: recipe editor is I don't cook very much, so I
- 6:14Speaker 2: can read a recipe and know what it would taste like,
- 6:17Speaker 2: which I guess is a special kind of gift. But
- 6:19Speaker 2: I also can read a recipe and see all the
- 6:22Speaker 2: missing steps because I don't necessarily know how to do it.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And did you have one in particular?
- 6:29Speaker 2: Oh, gosh, a favorite so hard. I guess chocolate potacrem
- 6:37Speaker 2: so at Richard Reddington's restaurant read when I first moved there,
- 6:40Speaker 2: the pastry chef had just won the James Beard Award
- 6:43Speaker 2: for best pastry Chef in the country. And she made
- 6:46Speaker 2: this basically high end chocolate pudding and she put cocoa
- 6:50Speaker 2: crunch in it, and it was just the most delicious thing.
- 6:52Speaker 3: It made my inner child so happy.
- 6:55Speaker 1: No, angel food cake, I actually.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Do love angel food cake. Thank you.
- 7:04Speaker 1: You're welcome. Like so many of us, your career has
- 7:09Speaker 1: not been linear. Why is that? And would you share
- 7:13Speaker 1: some of the other work you've done beside angel coaching.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Sure, thank you for asking.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I believe that all of us, and well I believe
- 7:21Speaker 2: in the angels assure me that all of us are
- 7:23Speaker 2: on a divinely guided journey. So while you know we've
- 7:28Speaker 2: been trained to put together a resume and try to
- 7:30Speaker 2: create this linear path and arc for our story, really
- 7:35Speaker 2: we're put in the places we need to be for
- 7:37Speaker 2: reasons that we may never know on a ground level level.
- 7:43Speaker 3: So I've done all kinds of things. I was.
- 7:47Speaker 2: The chief growth officer for a technology startup. It was
- 7:50Speaker 2: an education technology product, and I learned so much about
- 7:55Speaker 2: software development working with software engineers, leading a big project
- 7:59Speaker 2: with lots of moving parts and pieces, communicating clearly, setting
- 8:04Speaker 2: up winmind situations because we used an outside vendor to
- 8:07Speaker 2: do it. And since then I've shared a lot of
- 8:12Speaker 2: what I learned with clients who are doing similar things.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Over the years, I worked with quite a lot of
- 8:17Speaker 2: business owners and leaders, and everything that I've done, whether
- 8:21Speaker 2: it was that or helping to launch an app for
- 8:24Speaker 2: people with inflammatory bowel diseases and providing all kinds of
- 8:28Speaker 2: uplifting and enlightening content for them, It's all come into
- 8:32Speaker 2: play in some way, shape or form. So even though
- 8:36Speaker 2: it looked like a detour at the time, the angels
- 8:39Speaker 2: have been able to use everything I've done in my life,
- 8:43Speaker 2: whether it was the car stuff, or the food stuff
- 8:45Speaker 2: or the technology stuff, it always brings some nugget, some
- 8:51Speaker 2: gem for somebody, even having been in relationship with somebody
- 8:54Speaker 2: with narcissistic personality disorder. After that, I had fifteen or
- 9:00Speaker 2: maybe twenty clients who were in relationship with a narcissist
- 9:03Speaker 2: or had one or two narcissistic parents, and so I
- 9:07Speaker 2: was able to help them in a way I never
- 9:09Speaker 2: could have if I hadn't had the experience myself. And
- 9:13Speaker 2: that's what the angels want to say to everybody listening. Right.
- 9:16Speaker 3: It may seem like things are.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Going wrong or you've gotten off your path, but there
- 9:21Speaker 2: is no such thing as off the path. It's all path,
- 9:24Speaker 2: and it can all be used in service. And so
- 9:28Speaker 2: I don't even like to use the word service anymore.
- 9:30Speaker 2: In support to you, to help you and to help
- 9:33Speaker 2: others who you come in contact with, so that you
- 9:35Speaker 2: can feel like a contribution and really experience that joy
- 9:39Speaker 2: of being someone's Earth angel.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Absolutely, we're going to talk a little bit more about
- 9:44Speaker 1: that a little later on. But I have a question
- 9:47Speaker 1: for you. Prior to your angel communications starting, did you
- 9:52Speaker 1: have any concept or any idea about angels at all?
- 9:57Speaker 2: I think you know I had affinity for them, and
- 10:01Speaker 2: this is one of those in this lifetime, or you know,
- 10:04Speaker 2: in all your lifetimes. In this lifetime, I had some
- 10:08Speaker 2: affinity for angels. I had had angel card readings, I
- 10:11Speaker 2: had read Dorian Virtue's book where she talked about sort
- 10:14Speaker 2: of her spiritual awakening, but I didn't have any real
- 10:18Speaker 2: connection with angels until I was in my thirties, and
- 10:22Speaker 2: then all of a sudden, I started receiving messages for people,
- 10:26Speaker 2: and the angels would not shut up until I delivered
- 10:29Speaker 2: the message.
- 10:30Speaker 3: So they were training me.
- 10:31Speaker 1: And how did this really start for you? And how
- 10:33Speaker 1: did you know it was angels communicating with you?
- 10:36Speaker 2: The angels, Well, it felt like love, I guess that's
- 10:40Speaker 2: the shortest and easiest answer. It felt like divine, unconditional love,
- 10:44Speaker 2: not like human love, which can be more like manipulation
- 10:47Speaker 2: and accession. And it the message is that they asked
- 10:54Speaker 2: me to deliver. The very first one was a woman
- 10:58Speaker 2: had just said I can't forward whatever it was she
- 11:01Speaker 2: was talking about, and the angels insisted that I stop
- 11:04Speaker 2: her and ask her to never use that phrase I
- 11:07Speaker 2: can't afford again. They wanted her to experience Amendment's consciousness
- 11:11Speaker 2: and they wanted to make that one little shift in
- 11:14Speaker 2: her worldview and languaging because words are so important, you know,
- 11:18Speaker 2: the story we tell ourselves makes such a difference in
- 11:21Speaker 2: how we experience reality.
- 11:24Speaker 1: And how do you hear the voices?
- 11:27Speaker 2: I hear them in my head, but they sound just
- 11:30Speaker 2: like regular voices. Sometimes they show me pictures or little
- 11:34Speaker 2: movie clips. But mostly they share a question to ask
- 11:39Speaker 2: or a story to share, and oftentimes they'll give me
- 11:46Speaker 2: a question and I'll argue with them in my mind
- 11:48Speaker 2: right because I'm like, why would I ask that weird question?
- 11:51Speaker 2: And it always turns out to be the divinely perfect question.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I don't know why I keep asking arguing with them,
- 11:57Speaker 2: but they'll ask me, you know how, tell me ask
- 12:00Speaker 2: some question about golf. And then the person will say, well,
- 12:02Speaker 2: my dad always used to say that, and like, of course,
- 12:05Speaker 2: of course it was the perfect question.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Wonderful. You call the work you do angel coaching. What
- 12:14Speaker 1: is angel coaching? How does that differ from traditional coaching?
- 12:19Speaker 1: And also you've shared that one story, hear another story
- 12:21Speaker 1: about how it made a difference in someone's life.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Oh well, I call it angel coaching. Actually, one of
- 12:28Speaker 2: my clients named it that. For years, I struggled to
- 12:31Speaker 2: describe what I do because it's this combination of personal
- 12:36Speaker 2: and business coaching and energy healing, whatever the angels inspire
- 12:41Speaker 2: me to do, and delivering guidance from the angels. And
- 12:44Speaker 2: one day one of my clients said, I tell people
- 12:46Speaker 2: you're my angel coach.
- 12:48Speaker 3: It's like, aha, that's a.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Perfect way to describe it. And ever since then, I've
- 12:52Speaker 2: been calling it angel coaching. My brand has been my
- 12:55Speaker 2: angel coach, and people lean in when I say that,
- 12:58Speaker 2: as opposed to when I struggle to do describe what
- 13:00Speaker 2: I do and I kind of glaze over.
- 13:03Speaker 3: And it's helped.
- 13:04Speaker 2: People in a lot of different ways. The biggest thing
- 13:08Speaker 2: has been dissolving subconscious programming and limiting beliefs. So we're
- 13:14Speaker 2: swimming in this energy soup here on this planet that's
- 13:17Speaker 2: full of programming that is very disempowering. Right. It pulls
- 13:22Speaker 2: us out of our center, It pulls us out of
- 13:24Speaker 2: the truth of who we are, and it starts even
- 13:27Speaker 2: before we're born, when we're in utero and we're exposed
- 13:30Speaker 2: to all of this, and the angels are incredibly good
- 13:36Speaker 2: at going in and dissolving that. So it might be
- 13:39Speaker 2: limiting beliefs that your family had around money, or it
- 13:42Speaker 2: might be things that happened that affected you, like you know,
- 13:46Speaker 2: why can't you be more like your sister? Or you
- 13:49Speaker 2: know you need to be nice or polite or show
- 13:52Speaker 2: up a certain way. We get all of these things,
- 13:55Speaker 2: especially the things that happen in the first seven years
- 13:58Speaker 2: of our lives before or we have any sort of filters,
- 14:01Speaker 2: we just take them in as the rules.
- 14:03Speaker 3: To operate by.
- 14:05Speaker 2: They become like the software program in our system, and
- 14:10Speaker 2: they're running in the background for the rest of our
- 14:12Speaker 2: lives unless we make some shifts and we see the
- 14:16Speaker 2: world through those filters.
- 14:18Speaker 3: So if we believe it's a cold, cruel world out there,
- 14:21Speaker 3: people can be doing kind things and we won't see them.
- 14:24Speaker 3: And it's not that we're doing it.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Wrong or we're bad, or you know, things are set
- 14:29Speaker 2: up to harm us. It's really that we see through filters.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Because there's so much data. It's easier to understand this
- 14:39Speaker 2: now that we're overwhelmed with the amount of content coming
- 14:41Speaker 2: at us through the Internet or our phones all day.
- 14:44Speaker 2: But our eyes are taking in billions of bits of
- 14:47Speaker 2: information every second, and so our mind creates these filters
- 14:52Speaker 2: to get rid of the extremeeous stuff, so we focus
- 14:54Speaker 2: on what matters, and so the angels are very good
- 14:57Speaker 2: at dissolving filters that have us focusing in a distorted way,
- 15:03Speaker 2: so that we can see the love and the beauty
- 15:06Speaker 2: and the abundance that's around us and how much support
- 15:10Speaker 2: is actually here for.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Us every day.
- 15:13Speaker 1: And share a couple of stories of how it has
- 15:15Speaker 1: had an impact on someone's life.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Oh yes, So one of my favorites is a woman
- 15:23Speaker 2: who came to me for business support. So she was
- 15:27Speaker 2: a coach, and she had never had any trouble getting clients.
- 15:30Speaker 2: She had plenty of clients until all of a sudden
- 15:33Speaker 2: it completely dried up. It went from normal, great pacing
- 15:37Speaker 2: to zero. And so we were working on our business
- 15:41Speaker 2: and we were looking at her money thoughts and her
- 15:45Speaker 2: ideas around clients and who she was and how she was,
- 15:48Speaker 2: and every session the angels guided me to ask her,
- 15:50Speaker 2: how is your relationship? And I actually didn't know if
- 15:54Speaker 2: she was single or dating or married, but they kept
- 15:56Speaker 2: asking me to ask this question. And it turned out
- 15:59Speaker 2: that she was married and her husband had had an
- 16:03Speaker 2: affair and she had closed off her heart to him.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Her mother had left when she was young for another man,
- 16:11Speaker 2: and so she was so incredibly triggered by this. Everybody
- 16:15Speaker 2: would be triggered by it. But she had shut down
- 16:17Speaker 2: her heart, and when she saw that she was expecting
- 16:20Speaker 2: her husband to act just like her mother had and
- 16:22Speaker 2: abandon her, she was able to begin the healing process
- 16:27Speaker 2: and begin to let down some of that armor, and
- 16:30Speaker 2: the minute she started to open her heart just a
- 16:32Speaker 2: tiny bit. She reached out to me the next day
- 16:35Speaker 2: and said, I had two.
- 16:35Speaker 3: New clients show up. So it was instantaneous.
- 16:38Speaker 2: As soon as she had that little shift, her life
- 16:42Speaker 2: changed again.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Wonderful. And how about a healing story?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Oh wow, sure, So I think they're all healing stories,
- 16:53Speaker 2: are they? They're all spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical healing.
- 16:57Speaker 2: And the very first time I realized I could do
- 17:00Speaker 2: physical healing, I was actually at a wine event in
- 17:03Speaker 2: the Napa Valley and at the end of the event,
- 17:07Speaker 2: my best friend who I was there with, and I
- 17:09Speaker 2: were talking to a woman who said, why don't we
- 17:10Speaker 2: sit down, and you know, she worked at the event.
- 17:12Speaker 2: She said, you can finish your glass of line and
- 17:14Speaker 2: we'll chat a little more. And so she was talking
- 17:16Speaker 2: about how she loved to do needlework, crochet a needle point,
- 17:20Speaker 2: but she had gotten arthritis in her finger, and so
- 17:25Speaker 2: as she was talking to us, she was facing toward
- 17:27Speaker 2: my friend, and I just felt guided to begin stroking
- 17:31Speaker 2: her hand very gently, and I was petting her like
- 17:33Speaker 2: she was a kiddie, and all of a sudden, the
- 17:36Speaker 2: finger that had been shaped like a sea straightened out.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I felt a little kunk, and it just straightened out
- 17:42Speaker 2: perfectly like all her other fingers. And my friend noticed,
- 17:45Speaker 2: but the woman who was talking about how she couldn't
- 17:48Speaker 2: do all the things she loved didn't notice. And then
- 17:51Speaker 2: you know, I stopped doing it, and pretty soon it
- 17:53Speaker 2: went back to the way it had been. And my
- 17:55Speaker 2: friend and I walked out to the parking lot and
- 17:57Speaker 2: she said, what was that. I was like, well, I
- 17:59Speaker 2: just learned two things. One I can apparently heal people
- 18:03Speaker 2: by touching them, and two, if they're not ready to
- 18:07Speaker 2: receive it, they won't.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Absolutely, that's a true story that people have to be
- 18:14Speaker 1: ready to accept something before they will regardless of the
- 18:19Speaker 1: type of formality, whether it be healing, whether it be
- 18:24Speaker 1: advice of some kind, that someone has to be willing
- 18:27Speaker 1: to receive it.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Yes, and I'm sure you've seen this before too. Sometimes
- 18:33Speaker 2: things aren't intended by the divine to be healed. There's
- 18:37Speaker 2: something we've chosen for our life journey. They are a
- 18:39Speaker 2: vital part of the process for some reason, in that
- 18:42Speaker 2: moment in time, that thing is not meant to be healed,
- 18:46Speaker 2: and so no matter how hard we work at it,
- 18:49Speaker 2: it's not going to go away, So there's a bit
- 18:51Speaker 2: of a surrender and trust that we're asked to bring
- 18:56Speaker 2: to the healing journey as well.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Absolutely, what is how are you to write your book?
- 19:01Speaker 1: My angel coach?
- 19:03Speaker 2: I actually am mostly retired from coaching now. I work
- 19:08Speaker 2: with a few of the clients I've had for a
- 19:10Speaker 2: long time, but it was time. You know, it's so
- 19:15Speaker 2: weird to say I am sixty one now. It feels
- 19:18Speaker 2: just strange to me because I feel like I'm in
- 19:20Speaker 2: my thirties. But I decided I had done the coaching
- 19:24Speaker 2: for almost twenty years and it was feeling like time
- 19:27Speaker 2: for something different. And I had been a writer for
- 19:29Speaker 2: most of my career. So the angels guided me to
- 19:32Speaker 2: put all of our most powerful processes and practices into
- 19:37Speaker 2: a book so that people wouldn't need me to be
- 19:41Speaker 2: their coach anymore, but they could have this available twenty
- 19:44Speaker 2: four to seven.
- 19:45Speaker 3: So it's.
- 19:48Speaker 2: A very powerful book. The angels have done a lot
- 19:50Speaker 2: of attunement work. Every chapter starts with an angel attunement
- 19:54Speaker 2: that's a culmination of words and picture, And the angels
- 19:58Speaker 2: like to joke that you could put the book under
- 20:00Speaker 2: your pillow and it would do the same work as
- 20:01Speaker 2: if you read it, but I think it's more fun
- 20:03Speaker 2: to read it.
- 20:05Speaker 3: But the purpose.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Really was to put myself out of a job in
- 20:08Speaker 2: a way.
- 20:11Speaker 1: And what type of impact would you like it to
- 20:13Speaker 1: have on your readers.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I would love for them to really feel loved and
- 20:19Speaker 2: supported on their journey, to feel the possibilities, infinite possibilities,
- 20:26Speaker 2: to experience the surprise and delight that angels love to
- 20:29Speaker 2: bring into our lives, and to experience more of that
- 20:34Speaker 2: piece and ease and grace and connection with the divine
- 20:39Speaker 2: connection with others that is so possible now on the journey.
- 20:45Speaker 3: So much has changed on our planet that.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Makes it easier and easier for us to live a
- 20:51Speaker 2: life that feels like it's magical, filled with magic and miracles.

- 23:59Speaker 1: Back on Destination Unlimited. My guest this week is Sue Elliot.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Her book My Angel Coach, Receive your Divine Guidance and
- 24:09Speaker 1: Feel the Angel's Love. So the book has lots of
- 24:13Speaker 1: short chapters with simple practices. Would you share one of
- 24:16Speaker 1: those practices with us? Please?
- 24:18Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 24:19Speaker 2: One of my favorite super instant resets is to close
- 24:24Speaker 2: your eyes and take three deep breaths. You're probably expecting
- 24:28Speaker 2: something a lot more complicated, but the angels want to
- 24:31Speaker 2: say it's the perfect reset when we're feeling stressed, when
- 24:36Speaker 2: we're feeling triggered. It actually works to reset our nervous systems.
- 24:41Speaker 2: So when you're running from the saber tooth tiger, you
- 24:43Speaker 2: cannot close your eyes and take three deep breaths. So
- 24:46Speaker 2: on a deep, primal level, your body knows when you
- 24:50Speaker 2: close your eyes and take three deep breaths, it's a
- 24:52Speaker 2: false alarm. And so that stress that we're all experiencing,
- 24:56Speaker 2: that sending cortisol through our veins, all the stress hormones
- 25:01Speaker 2: that makes it hard for us to digest, That makes
- 25:03Speaker 2: it hard for us to sleep at night. We have
- 25:05Speaker 2: the power to reset that by stopping and closing our
- 25:09Speaker 2: eyes and taking three deep breaths.
- 25:11Speaker 3: And when we're feeling really triggered, the angels want.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Us to set a timer, right, do it every twenty minutes,
- 25:16Speaker 2: do it every five minutes, do it every hour on
- 25:18Speaker 2: the hour, whatever works for you. But it's so foundational
- 25:23Speaker 2: to our well being that and free right.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Anybody can do it. You can do it in a meeting.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Nobody will give you a hard time if you close
- 25:31Speaker 2: your eyes and take three deep breaths. So the angels
- 25:33Speaker 2: really want us to integrate that more and more into
- 25:35Speaker 2: our daily lives.
- 25:37Speaker 1: And you have sixty three of these in your book,
- 25:40Speaker 1: and I'm just wondering why sixty three? Was there a
- 25:44Speaker 1: reason for that number in particular? And also give us
- 25:46Speaker 1: a couple of more examples.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Okay, well, I would have loved for it to be
- 25:50Speaker 2: an angel number like one hundred and eleven, but no,
- 25:54Speaker 2: it worked out to be sixty three as we dove
- 25:59Speaker 2: into it and made sure that each chapter was really
- 26:02Speaker 2: a wonderful standalone gem.
- 26:06Speaker 3: It feels so uncomfortable to say that about something I wrote.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Isn't that interesting?
- 26:11Speaker 2: So there's a very large portion of the book dedicated
- 26:14Speaker 2: to receiving your own divine guidance. And my favorite example
- 26:18Speaker 2: of a practice for that is yummy or yucky. So
- 26:23Speaker 2: if you've ever fed a toddler, you know that if
- 26:25Speaker 2: you put something they think is yucky in their mouth,
- 26:27Speaker 2: it comes right back out. It is visceral, it's hardwired
- 26:31Speaker 2: into your physical body. You cannot override that with belief
- 26:35Speaker 2: systems filters that you see reality through. So in fact,
- 26:38Speaker 2: much of the divine guid receive is through our body
- 26:41Speaker 2: because our body doesn't have those filters like we were
- 26:44Speaker 2: talking about. So our mind may believe it's a cold,
- 26:47Speaker 2: cruel world, or a subconscious programming may have us seeing
- 26:51Speaker 2: that world. But if something feels yucky to you, that
- 26:57Speaker 2: is absolutely your divine guidance saying.
- 27:00Speaker 3: No, thank you, or you gross.
- 27:03Speaker 2: And if something feels yummy, that's your divine guidance saying
- 27:06Speaker 2: yes please. And the angels want to add that divine
- 27:09Speaker 2: guidance is very time sensitive, so when we get a
- 27:14Speaker 2: node of something, it doesn't necessarily mean nothing is bad
- 27:18Speaker 2: or wrong or.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Never for us.
- 27:20Speaker 2: It just means not now. So the angels want to
- 27:23Speaker 2: add that if we remember Well, all we have to
- 27:27Speaker 2: do really is remember to keep tuning into our guidance
- 27:31Speaker 2: and if something becomes a yes, they will pop it
- 27:34Speaker 2: into our awareness.
- 27:36Speaker 3: So another practice.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Okay, I'm just going to open the book to random page,
- 27:39Speaker 2: which is one of my favorite things, and I opened
- 27:41Speaker 2: up to the section heading being love for yourself first.
- 27:46Speaker 2: So that's what the angels would like us to go.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Being love for yourself first is foundational for everything. Really,
- 27:57Speaker 2: if you look around and you see a world where
- 27:58Speaker 2: people are acting out, people are trying to dominate one another,
- 28:03Speaker 2: control one another, that stems.
- 28:06Speaker 3: From this fear.
- 28:10Speaker 2: That is changed when we be divine, unconditional love for
- 28:15Speaker 2: ourselves before.
- 28:16Speaker 3: We do anything else.
- 28:18Speaker 2: So when I notice that I'm feeling stressed or trauma
- 28:23Speaker 2: triggered or hungry, when I attend to myself, when I
- 28:27Speaker 2: am a loving parent, you could say to myself first,
- 28:33Speaker 2: then I'm not hungry because I do get hungry. Then
- 28:37Speaker 2: I'm not snapping at my beloved Paul because I'm hungry,
- 28:40Speaker 2: or I'm not being reactive and having that same horrible
- 28:44Speaker 2: conversation that I have with that person who always triggers me. Instead,
- 28:49Speaker 2: I take care of myself. I soothe myself, I take
- 28:53Speaker 2: a nap, whatever it is that I need in that moment,
- 28:56Speaker 2: and then I can show up in my power. Then
- 28:59Speaker 2: I can show up not the kind of power that's
- 29:02Speaker 2: power over others, but the kind of power that is
- 29:05Speaker 2: calm and quiet and present, and I can remember to
- 29:08Speaker 2: tune into my divine guidance and be love in the moment,
- 29:14Speaker 2: and that really changes everything. That divine unconditional love is
- 29:18Speaker 2: the most powerful energy in the cosmos. And so when
- 29:22Speaker 2: we be love for ourselves first and enable ourselves to
- 29:25Speaker 2: come from there in our interactions with others, that's how
- 29:29Speaker 2: we be the change. That's how we create the world
- 29:32Speaker 2: that we all are here knowing on some level is possible.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Absolutely. I actually had an experience like that in my
- 29:40Speaker 1: life as a child. I never felt loved by my
- 29:45Speaker 1: father until he became ill when I was eight years
- 29:49Speaker 1: old and I became part of his caretaking team with
- 29:52Speaker 1: my mother, And it's sort of wired in my young
- 29:55Speaker 1: mind that if you take care of others, you will
- 29:58Speaker 1: be loved, and of course that's not a bad thing.
- 30:00Speaker 1: But sometimes in life you start taking care of everybody
- 30:04Speaker 1: else and you neglect yourself and you forget to love yourself.
- 30:07Speaker 1: In that process, and in my fifties I had an
- 30:10Speaker 1: awakening and it resulted in a poem called the Healing
- 30:14Speaker 1: Power of No. May I share that with you please?
- 30:17Speaker 1: A time comes for choosing rather than losing the essence
- 30:22Speaker 1: that makes us so, and in the bestowing. There's power
- 30:26Speaker 1: in knowing the freedom that comes with no. When said
- 30:31Speaker 1: with compassion, not angry, in fashion and letting the self
- 30:35Speaker 1: love flow, there's a sense of renewing and deep soul
- 30:39Speaker 1: imbuing the awareness that comes with no. So with gentle
- 30:45Speaker 1: voice and the power of choice and the courage to
- 30:48Speaker 1: make it so, I'm still here, my friends. There's no
- 30:53Speaker 1: means in this end, just the healing that comes with no.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Oh you me a wave of goosebumps.
- 31:01Speaker 1: That's beautiful, thank you. But that's so important that we recognize. Yeah,
- 31:06Speaker 1: and so hard, very and so very hard. Absolutely yes.
- 31:10Speaker 1: A lot of experts who write a book share story
- 31:14Speaker 1: after story about how they've helped their clients, maybe because
- 31:17Speaker 1: they're trying to get more clients. But why do you
- 31:20Speaker 1: share so many stories in the book where you're the
- 31:22Speaker 1: example or shall we say, the guinea pig.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Well, you know, I believe that we are each teaching
- 31:33Speaker 2: what we came here to learn. I don't really like
- 31:36Speaker 2: the word teaching so much.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Anymore, but for most of my career I.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Wrote how to articles, how to swap from drum brags
- 31:44Speaker 2: to disc brakes right, how to rebuild your first engine,
- 31:46Speaker 2: how DoD he shrink the roof on your car? How
- 31:48Speaker 2: to make a particular dish by following a recipe?
- 31:51Speaker 3: And so that is the training.
- 31:55Speaker 2: That the angels brought me on on this divine they
- 31:57Speaker 2: goide a journey, and I am literally applying everything in
- 32:04Speaker 2: this book as much as I can remember to do.
- 32:06Speaker 2: I'm not going to claim to be perfect at this,
- 32:08Speaker 2: not by a long shot. But I have been shown
- 32:15Speaker 2: in really memorable examples why I need to trust in
- 32:20Speaker 2: divine perfect timing, Why I need to believe that everything
- 32:24Speaker 2: is unfolding perfectly even when it looks like it's all
- 32:26Speaker 2: going to hell in a handbasket. Why I need to
- 32:29Speaker 2: tune into my divine guidance instead of trying to figure
- 32:32Speaker 2: things out. And so I guess I didn't want people
- 32:37Speaker 2: to see me as some perfect teacher, right, I've let
- 32:42Speaker 2: go of all that trying to seem a certain way,
- 32:46Speaker 2: and the examples that the angels guided me to share
- 32:50Speaker 2: were almost one hundred percent about my own life. It
- 32:54Speaker 2: kind of reminds me a little bit. I used to
- 32:55Speaker 2: be a big fan and follower of Abraham Hicks, and
- 33:00Speaker 2: I loved it when Abraham would tell stories from Esther's
- 33:04Speaker 2: life or Jerry's life.
- 33:05Speaker 3: They were always the most memorable ones to me.
- 33:07Speaker 1: So absolutely, each of the chapters in your book starts
- 33:14Speaker 1: with an angel attunement. Those attunements look very different from
- 33:18Speaker 1: other angel cards, which usually have pictures of angels on them.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Why are these so different?
- 33:25Speaker 2: They're different because, well, a couple of reasons. One person
- 33:29Speaker 2: opened up the book recently and said, Wow, this paper
- 33:31Speaker 2: reminds me of magazines, and I just started cracking it
- 33:34Speaker 2: because I was a magazine editor for.
- 33:36Speaker 3: About thirty years.
- 33:37Speaker 2: And yes, this book is very much like a magazine.
- 33:40Speaker 2: It's got very short chapters, and each chapter starts with
- 33:44Speaker 2: a photo and the title and subtitle of the chapter,
- 33:49Speaker 2: which I was calling Angel attonement cards. And I called
- 33:53Speaker 2: them angel attunements because the angels have infused each one
- 33:57Speaker 2: of these with the energy to dissolve whatever is in
- 34:01Speaker 2: the way of us embodying that so anything in the
- 34:04Speaker 2: way of us remembering to watch for synchronicity in our lives,
- 34:09Speaker 2: or remembering to be loved for ourselves, or remembering to
- 34:13Speaker 2: take three deep breaths when we feel triggered. Each of
- 34:16Speaker 2: the pictures is something very relatable in the way that
- 34:21Speaker 2: I would have chosen a photo for a magazine, and
- 34:25Speaker 2: sometimes we went through two or three hundred photos.
- 34:27Speaker 3: To find the one that had the best energy to
- 34:30Speaker 3: convey what we were looking to convey.
- 34:33Speaker 2: But also, every time you see a road sign that
- 34:35Speaker 2: indicates there's a little turn to the right, you'll remember
- 34:38Speaker 2: that that is the sign in the divine guidance angel
- 34:42Speaker 2: Attu image. So they help us to remember that the
- 34:47Speaker 2: angels are with us and supporting us, and to tune
- 34:49Speaker 2: into our guidance all day every day.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Now you've mentioned that there are three ways to play
- 34:56Speaker 1: with your book. What are they?
- 34:58Speaker 2: Well, the first way is to it like a normal book,
- 35:01Speaker 2: and you really can do that.
- 35:02Speaker 3: It does flow from beginning to end.
- 35:04Speaker 2: The other way is to use it as a daily
- 35:08Speaker 2: practice or a weekly practice.
- 35:10Speaker 3: I have some people who tell me that they love
- 35:11Speaker 3: doing that.
- 35:12Speaker 2: They love sitting with each chapter or maybe having it
- 35:17Speaker 2: on their bedside. A lot of people have said they
- 35:19Speaker 2: keep it on their nightstand, and they like to read
- 35:21Speaker 2: one or two or three chapters before they fall asleep
- 35:23Speaker 2: at night. And the third way is what I've been doing,
- 35:27Speaker 2: which is to use it as a magic book I
- 35:29Speaker 2: call it. Just hold a question in your mind, which
- 35:31Speaker 2: could be as general as what would you like me
- 35:33Speaker 2: to know?
- 35:33Speaker 3: Angels?
- 35:34Speaker 2: And let the book open to a random page, which
- 35:37Speaker 2: is never random, of course, and it will have your
- 35:40Speaker 2: answer from the angels. So I just opened to three
- 35:42Speaker 2: deep breaths. If I close my eyes, I open to
- 35:47Speaker 2: messages from others. The angels often deliver your guidance directly
- 35:51Speaker 2: or indirectly through other people, which of course is what
- 35:54Speaker 2: we're doing right now.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Absolutely. You started a personal transformation magazine back in twenty
- 36:01Speaker 1: eleven that was sold on newsstands nationwide. It was called
- 36:06Speaker 1: Law of Attraction, and you mentioned in the book that
- 36:08Speaker 1: you began to really question some of the Law of
- 36:11Speaker 1: Attraction teachings. Would you share that story with our listeners please?
- 36:15Speaker 2: Oh?
- 36:15Speaker 3: Sure?
- 36:16Speaker 2: So I did mention Abraham Hicks, who are Law of
- 36:19Speaker 2: Attraction teachers. And for those of you who are followers
- 36:21Speaker 2: of the Secret or fans, they were in the original
- 36:24Speaker 2: Secret movie and then they were removed later because they
- 36:27Speaker 2: didn't want to surrender their IP intellectual property.
- 36:31Speaker 3: But I.
- 36:33Speaker 2: So I was creating the magazine not long after the
- 36:36Speaker 2: secret came out, and I found that a lot of
- 36:39Speaker 2: people treated law of attraction practices like they were in
- 36:43Speaker 2: a restaurant and they were replacing their order. Right, I'll
- 36:46Speaker 2: have this, this, and this and a dollop of that
- 36:49Speaker 2: on the side and bring it by.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Thursday at two pm.
- 36:52Speaker 2: And it felt very much like micromanaging the universe when
- 36:57Speaker 2: the angels kept showing me over and over again, is
- 37:00Speaker 2: that if they brought us our ideal partner on Thursday
- 37:05Speaker 2: at two pm, we might not actually be ready for
- 37:08Speaker 2: that relationship.
- 37:10Speaker 3: At that point in time.
- 37:11Speaker 2: We were being led on this divinely guide and journey
- 37:15Speaker 2: of evolving and becoming ready.
- 37:18Speaker 3: For whatever was next.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Right, So it may be that I need to open
- 37:24Speaker 2: my heart because I've armored up over the years.
- 37:27Speaker 3: It may be that I need.
- 37:28Speaker 2: To learn how to speak up, find my voice again,
- 37:33Speaker 2: be able to have hard conversations before I'm ready to
- 37:36Speaker 2: be in that relationship with my ideal partner for now. Well,
- 37:41Speaker 2: and that's the thing, really, right, My ideal partner for
- 37:44Speaker 2: now is that next person the angels bring to me
- 37:47Speaker 2: to help me evolve and become and shed gunk and
- 37:53Speaker 2: figure out that that was what my parents wanted for me,
- 37:55Speaker 2: not what I really want for myself. And you know,
- 37:58Speaker 2: all the things that we learn along this beautiful journey
- 38:01Speaker 2: of self seeing and self expressing and becoming are true, amazing, beautiful,
- 38:09Speaker 2: magnificent selves in physical form.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I remember a product called gunk years ago, having to
- 38:17Speaker 1: do with automotive repair. What does it mean when you're
- 38:21Speaker 1: sure the angels are helping to dissolve your gunk?
- 38:24Speaker 2: Ah. I love the word gunk because it's such a
- 38:27Speaker 2: technical term. So by gunk we mean limiting beliefs. You know,
- 38:32Speaker 2: money is the root of all evil. Money doesn't grond trees.
- 38:36Speaker 2: I'm too much of this, not enough of that subconscious programming,
- 38:41Speaker 2: All that stuff that we took in when we were
- 38:44Speaker 2: little or later in life that became rules that we
- 38:46Speaker 2: live by, the things that have so wounded us or
- 38:50Speaker 2: shamed us or traumatized us over the years. We group
- 38:53Speaker 2: all that stuff together into the category of gunk because
- 38:57Speaker 2: it's all the stuff that gets in the way of
- 39:00Speaker 2: us being present in the moment, flourishing, loving ourselves, loving
- 39:06Speaker 2: our lives. So rather than make a big hairy deal
- 39:12Speaker 2: over it, we like to just call.
- 39:13Speaker 1: It gunk wonderful. I think that's a very wonderful term
- 39:17Speaker 1: for that. Explu In My Angel Coach, you talk about
- 39:22Speaker 1: people's original factory settings, a phrase that comes from the
- 39:26Speaker 1: time that you spent working on car magazines. What would
- 39:29Speaker 1: you share and what would you mean by original factory settings.
- 39:34Speaker 2: So when you work on a car nowadays and these days, gosh,
- 39:39Speaker 2: for a long time now, all cars have had computers
- 39:42Speaker 2: controlling so many aspects of them, and so if you
- 39:45Speaker 2: want to make your car perform better, be more fun
- 39:48Speaker 2: to drive, then you have to change some of the
- 39:51Speaker 2: settings in the computer. You have to deviate from the
- 39:54Speaker 2: original factory settings, which is really fun when we're talking
- 39:57Speaker 2: about cars and trucks, but not so fun when we're
- 40:00Speaker 2: talking about people. So all that gunk, all those subconscious programs,
- 40:05Speaker 2: limiting beliefs, traumas, are the things that change us from
- 40:11Speaker 2: our original factory settings. When we're restored to our original
- 40:16Speaker 2: factory settings, we're curious, we're playful, our inner child feels
- 40:21Speaker 2: safe and is able to receive inspiration, creativity.
- 40:26Speaker 3: The magic of the moment, and so restoring us.
- 40:28Speaker 2: To our original factory settings is really putting us back
- 40:32Speaker 2: to being our unique aspect of the divine, powerful and
- 40:37Speaker 2: beautiful and ready for whatever is showing up.
- 40:41Speaker 1: My guest is Sue Elliot, her book My Angel Coach.

- 42:25Speaker 1: Back on Destination Unlimited. My guest this week Sue Elliott
- 42:29Speaker 1: her book My Angel Coach. Receive your Divine guidance and
- 42:33Speaker 1: feel the Angels love. Sue, I have the blessing of
- 42:37Speaker 1: a spiritual teacher who would share something that you have
- 42:40Speaker 1: learned from the angels, that everything is unfolding in divine order.
- 42:45Speaker 1: You have a chapter in My Angel Coach where the
- 42:47Speaker 1: angels share that everything is unfolding perfectly please explain.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Oh, well, it's easy for us to see that everything
- 42:55Speaker 2: is unfolding perfectly when it feels like the angels are
- 42:58Speaker 2: rolling out the red carpet in front of it.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Yes, that's there's all I love for it.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Right, the synchronicities doors are opening, the perfect person shows up.
- 43:06Speaker 2: It's harder for us to believe that when it feels
- 43:10Speaker 2: like things are going wrong and the angels are encouraging
- 43:14Speaker 2: us to lean into trust that everything really is happening.
- 43:18Speaker 3: For us, not to us. So when we.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Trust that everything is unfolding perfectly, we can enjoy the
- 43:27Speaker 2: journey more rather than struggling against what's happening in the moment.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Most of us have been taught to meet life with resistance.
- 43:34Speaker 2: This is wrong and I need to fix it. This
- 43:36Speaker 2: is a problem and I need to solve it. But
- 43:39Speaker 2: if we can remember, at least a little bit at
- 43:42Speaker 2: a time that everything is unfolding perfectly and lean into
- 43:46Speaker 2: trust in the divine, then we can enjoy the journey
- 43:50Speaker 2: so much more. This is believe me, this is my
- 43:52Speaker 2: learning edge right now. It's it's not a done deal
- 43:55Speaker 2: in my life yet, but it's so valuable. It makes
- 43:59Speaker 2: all the difference in how we greet the life that
- 44:03Speaker 2: is showing up for us.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Absolutely. I'm going to share a story now that I've
- 44:08Speaker 1: shared before on other programs that sort of addresses this.
- 44:13Speaker 1: In nineteen seventy five, I was in the Air Force.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I was stationed in Soul, Korea, and I would write
- 44:19Speaker 1: back and forth to my mother in New York. We
- 44:21Speaker 1: send letters every month, and I had no reason to
- 44:22Speaker 1: think anything was wrong. And one morning I woke up
- 44:26Speaker 1: and I heard the message in my head. You need
- 44:28Speaker 1: to call your mom. She needs to hear from you.
- 44:30Speaker 1: And whenever the Angels would plant those messages with me,
- 44:33Speaker 1: I would immediately respond. And I called back. And in
- 44:36Speaker 1: those days were those of us who are old enough
- 44:38Speaker 1: to remember, we had wired telephones, so you had extensions
- 44:41Speaker 1: in different rooms. And my mother and my sister pick
- 44:45Speaker 1: up the phone simultaneously, and I said, Mom, is there
- 44:48Speaker 1: anything wrong? And my sister exclaimed, oh my god, how
- 44:52Speaker 1: did he find out? And it turned out that she
- 44:54Speaker 1: was scheduled for major surgery the next day. And the
- 44:58Speaker 1: angels told me to tell her that the op operation
- 45:00Speaker 1: would be a complete success, she'd have a full recovery,
- 45:03Speaker 1: everything would be just fine. She needed to hear those
- 45:06Speaker 1: words from me, and that's exactly what transpired. So I'm
- 45:09Speaker 1: grateful for that which happened.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Oh that's so beautiful. And talk about divine perfect timing,
- 45:15Speaker 2: so you could allay her fears before she went in there,
- 45:18Speaker 2: and so that she was in a state to receive
- 45:21Speaker 2: the healing.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Absolutely. Absolutely. I belong to a group called Morning Gratitude,
- 45:27Speaker 1: where every day we express thanks for everything in our lives.
- 45:32Speaker 1: You have a chapter entitled thank You as a Practice.
- 45:35Speaker 1: How does this work and what are the results?
- 45:38Speaker 3: Ah, this is so perfect for what we were just
- 45:40Speaker 3: talking about. Too. So when they show up to life
- 45:43Speaker 3: with resistance.
- 45:44Speaker 2: Right, this is wrong and this is bad and this
- 45:47Speaker 2: is ugly, and I need to change those things, or
- 45:49Speaker 2: somebody needs to change those things. We experience life as scary, harsh, unpleasant.
- 45:59Speaker 2: We show up with thank you as a practice. And
- 46:03Speaker 2: this is one of the very simple practices the angels
- 46:05Speaker 2: share when we show up with thank you angels for
- 46:09Speaker 2: that no show, for that appointment and giving me back
- 46:13Speaker 2: an hour of my time. Thank you angels for the
- 46:16Speaker 2: car trouble that enabled me to meet that amazing mechanic
- 46:20Speaker 2: he told me about a book that has changed my life.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Right when we show up with thank you to whatever
- 46:27Speaker 2: it is. First of all, it's a lot easier on
- 46:30Speaker 2: our nervous systems. We're not braced against in defensive to reality,
- 46:35Speaker 2: and we're not feeling at the mercy of outside forces.
- 46:40Speaker 2: We're acknowledging that the angels are bringing us beautiful things
- 46:44Speaker 2: all day, every day, sometimes in funny looking packages, right,
- 46:48Speaker 2: sometimes in packages that feel lucky. But when I show
- 46:51Speaker 2: up with thank you for the opportunity to experience this
- 46:54Speaker 2: thank you, and it completely changes my experience. It completely
- 47:01Speaker 2: changes the way I receive reality. And it's a beautiful
- 47:06Speaker 2: job for the mind to circle back to what we
- 47:08Speaker 2: were talking about earlier. What do I thank the angels
- 47:12Speaker 2: for now?
- 47:13Speaker 3: It's a great.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Chance to look at something from multiple perspectives. So thank
- 47:20Speaker 2: you for bringing that person into my life. Thank you
- 47:23Speaker 2: for the opportunity to spend another night in this place
- 47:26Speaker 2: along the journey home. Thank you for making sure we
- 47:29Speaker 2: weren't driving through the mountains the other day when it
- 47:31Speaker 2: was icy and we might have hit a patch of
- 47:33Speaker 2: black ice and gotten into an accident. Thank you for
- 47:36Speaker 2: giving us the blowout so we had to spend an
- 47:37Speaker 2: extra night on our journey home. Is a very different
- 47:41Speaker 2: inner dialogue and experience of reality than I can't believe
- 47:45Speaker 2: another thing went wrong.
- 47:46Speaker 3: I just want to be in my bed.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Absolutely, And that gratitude also puts us into a better
- 47:53Speaker 1: position to see how things are unfolding in our life.
- 47:57Speaker 3: Yes. Yes.
- 47:58Speaker 2: One of the other practice is in the book that
- 48:00Speaker 2: the angels want me to share is appreciation. So it's
- 48:04Speaker 2: a little bit different from gratitude, right, because I can
- 48:07Speaker 2: walk through the world looking for things to appreciate, and again,
- 48:11Speaker 2: it puts me in that really receptive state, curious what
- 48:16Speaker 2: else can I appreciate? What else can I appreciate? I
- 48:19Speaker 2: love the shape of that cloud. It looks just like
- 48:21Speaker 2: a poodle. Wow, look at the color on that car.
- 48:23Speaker 2: That's such a pretty blue. I love your earrings. Where
- 48:26Speaker 2: do you get them?
- 48:27Speaker 3: Right?
- 48:28Speaker 2: It connects me with others, It connects me with life
- 48:31Speaker 2: in a way that's very life affirming, in life enhancing.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Absolutely. You've got a whole section in the book dedicated
- 48:39Speaker 1: to receiving divine guidance. And I noticed that you often
- 48:43Speaker 1: say your own unique guidance. Why do you emphasize that
- 48:47Speaker 1: so much?
- 48:49Speaker 3: I'm so glad you asked that. I noticed that when
- 48:51Speaker 3: you were saying the subtitle of the book.
- 48:53Speaker 2: One time, you were going to say, receive the divine guidance,
- 48:57Speaker 2: And the angels want to emphasize that because your divine
- 49:01Speaker 2: guidance is unique to you and it differs moment to moment. Right,
- 49:06Speaker 2: there are a lot of moving parts and pieces in
- 49:08Speaker 2: the universe, in the entire cosmos, and the angels know
- 49:12Speaker 2: where everybody is in every moment. They know when somebody
- 49:16Speaker 2: took a left turn instead of a right turn, so
- 49:18Speaker 2: they need to slow you down just a little bit
- 49:20Speaker 2: so you show up and divine perfect timing right, so
- 49:23Speaker 2: they'll give you a red light instead of green light.
- 49:26Speaker 3: And your divine.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Guidance takes into account how you're feeling in that moment,
- 49:31Speaker 2: what you were wondering about in that moment.
- 49:34Speaker 3: It is completely custom.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Tailored to where you are on your journey. That's the
- 49:39Speaker 2: potency of remembering to tune into our guidance every time
- 49:44Speaker 2: we're about to do another task. Every time we, you know,
- 49:49Speaker 2: start to feel a little bit uncomfortable, when we remember
- 49:53Speaker 2: to ask angels, is there something for me to do
- 49:55Speaker 2: or say right now?
- 49:56Speaker 3: Or you know, where would you have me go? What
- 49:58Speaker 3: would you have me do?
- 50:00Speaker 2: Whatever it is that we're asking we will get the
- 50:03Speaker 2: perfect guidance for us in that precise moment.
- 50:07Speaker 1: A lot of spiritual teachers tell people to be positive
- 50:11Speaker 1: and pivot whenever they're feeling negative emotions. You and the
- 50:15Speaker 1: angel share a very different approach to emotions. Please tell
- 50:19Speaker 1: us about that.
- 50:21Speaker 2: This is another way that the book and what we
- 50:24Speaker 2: shared with clients over the years differed from law of attraction. Right,
- 50:28Speaker 2: So the way I used to teach law of attraction
- 50:30Speaker 2: was if you feel joyful, you're going to attract more
- 50:33Speaker 2: things to feel joyful about and see joyful people all
- 50:35Speaker 2: around you. And if you feel angry, you're going to
- 50:37Speaker 2: attract more things to feel angry about and see angry
- 50:40Speaker 2: people all around you.
- 50:41Speaker 3: And that is true.
- 50:44Speaker 2: And there's something not very self loving about not acknowledging
- 50:51Speaker 2: how we feel in the moment. So the angels have
- 50:54Speaker 2: been asking us to be love for ourselves by our
- 51:00Speaker 2: emotions as messengers. So each emotion shows up with a message,
- 51:05Speaker 2: and you know, if we're trying to pivot away, we're
- 51:07Speaker 2: basically shooting the messenger. So the idea is to talk
- 51:11Speaker 2: to your emotions, kind of like the movie Inside Out
- 51:14Speaker 2: where the little girl had sadness and grief and disgust
- 51:18Speaker 2: and joy in her head, and each emotion had a
- 51:23Speaker 2: very different personality, and it looked different and stayed in character.
- 51:26Speaker 3: If we can.
- 51:27Speaker 2: Picture our emotions as those cute little cartoon characters or
- 51:31Speaker 2: whatever you want to picture them, ass, I mean, they
- 51:33Speaker 2: could be animals, whatever works for you.
- 51:36Speaker 3: And we say hello, Jealousy, you know I'm feeling you.
- 51:41Speaker 3: What would you want me? What do you want me
- 51:42Speaker 3: to know?
- 51:43Speaker 2: Jealousy will deliver her message. You know, I'm looking at
- 51:46Speaker 2: my LinkedIn feed and there are people out there doing
- 51:49Speaker 2: big important things, and I want to do big important
- 51:51Speaker 2: things too.
- 51:52Speaker 3: And I can.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Say, yes, Jealousy, thank you for the reminder we actually
- 51:57Speaker 2: are doing big important things. Let's acknowledge them things that
- 52:00Speaker 2: we've been doing. I really appreciate your value, valuable message.
- 52:04Speaker 2: I love you, Jealousy. Jealousy feel seen and heard and loved.
- 52:10Speaker 2: She's an aspect of me, right and she can go
- 52:13Speaker 2: back to playing in the sandbox with all the other
- 52:16Speaker 2: emotions until they have a message to deliver. But if
- 52:19Speaker 2: I keep trying to push jealousy down, or push anxiety down,
- 52:23Speaker 2: not feel whatever it is, it keeps popping back up.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Because it has a message to deliver, So it's going
- 52:29Speaker 2: to keep trying to deliver its message until we acknowledge
- 52:32Speaker 2: it and receive it and be love to that aspect
- 52:36Speaker 2: of ourselves.
- 52:37Speaker 1: How do we differentiate the angel's voices from our ego's voice?
- 52:43Speaker 2: Aha? I love this question. We have a lot of
- 52:46Speaker 2: voices in our heads, right. Some of them are mom's voice,
- 52:49Speaker 2: and some of them are that mean teacher in seventh grade,
- 52:52Speaker 2: and some of them are different aspects of ourselves who
- 52:55Speaker 2: are chiming in with peanut gallery commentary.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Not that they're bad or wrong.
- 53:00Speaker 2: They all have an emotion, a different energetic flavor to them.
- 53:04Speaker 2: So some of them feel scary, and some of them
- 53:07Speaker 2: feel critical, and some of them feel almost manic. And
- 53:12Speaker 2: that's not bad or wrong, but that angels messages feel
- 53:17Speaker 2: surprisingly neutral. Right. There's a part of me that wants
- 53:20Speaker 2: them to feel positive. But really, I have found, over
- 53:23Speaker 2: the hundreds of thousands or millions of messages I've received
- 53:27Speaker 2: from the angels that they have this kind of neutrality,
- 53:30Speaker 2: and oftentimes whatever the message is, my inner eight year
- 53:35Speaker 2: old goes duh, of course, And so the angels that
- 53:38Speaker 2: I have called that of coarseness, Angel guidance, Divine guidance
- 53:43Speaker 2: has and of coarseness to it. It has this profound
- 53:47Speaker 2: oh right, okay. And I tend to feel relief or
- 53:53Speaker 2: hope or curiosity or something after I receive the message,
- 53:59Speaker 2: so it's a very different kind of energy.
- 54:02Speaker 1: What would you like your readers to take away from
- 54:05Speaker 1: my Angel Coach?
- 54:07Speaker 2: I would love the very last chapter in the book
- 54:10Speaker 2: is called inner Harmony, and I would love for people
- 54:14Speaker 2: to focus first and foremost on inner harmony.
- 54:18Speaker 3: So when I notice inner.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Disharmony, whatever flavor, it is, anxiety, fear, hunger, having to
- 54:26Speaker 2: go to the bathroom and sitting here and trying to
- 54:28Speaker 2: finish whatever task I was doing instead of letting myself.
- 54:31Speaker 3: Go to the bathroom.
- 54:32Speaker 2: When I noticed that, and I attend to myself doing
- 54:36Speaker 2: using one of the practices or processes right, taking three
- 54:39Speaker 2: deep breaths, whatever it may be, then the way I
- 54:43Speaker 2: show up in the world is centered, present able to
- 54:48Speaker 2: receive my guidance. And when everybody does that, that creates
- 54:53Speaker 2: this beautiful world where people aren't lashing out at each other,
- 54:57Speaker 2: people aren't trying to control one another, we are all
- 55:00Speaker 2: able to be our beautiful, amazing, powerful selves.
- 55:04Speaker 3: And that that is.
- 55:07Speaker 2: The world that I know as possible. That is the
- 55:09Speaker 2: world that we each can live in as soon as today.
- 55:12Speaker 2: We don't have to go out there and fix all
- 55:13Speaker 2: the things that are broken. We can co create, moment
- 55:19Speaker 2: by moment, interaction by interaction, a really beautiful world.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Wonderful wisdom of my guest, Sue Elliot, her book My
