- 0:00What's going on, folks? And hope you are doing well.
- 0:03My name is David, and I'm your host of this legendary podcast,
- 0:07The Deconstructing Topic Podcast.
- 0:09Ooh, ooh, ooh. Are we making it happen? Ooh, for sure. We got a little short one out here once again.
- 0:17You know, I got to throw these little short little kind of motivation,
- 0:21but I just want to touch bases on a little story that happened to me about,
- 0:26I'm going to say like about a month ago, and it's a little kind of scary and
- 0:29it kind of reminds you that a lot of times life is not guaranteed.
- 0:35The next day is not guaranteed.
- 0:36So sometimes in the aspect or in the context that a lot of people want to,
- 0:43you know, bring their best version of themselves, become the best version,
- 0:47get to wherever they want to do, get to their goals, whatever it is.
- 0:50I know that we want to take it one day at a time, one second at a time,
- 0:54whatever it is that you want to do.
- 0:57But sometimes we kind of remind that sometimes, hey, if you're beginning to
- 1:02start something, start like now.
- 1:04You know what I'm saying? Don't wait up the next day. And let me tell you something.
- 1:08Once again, because I got beautiful stories, motivation. We doing something incredible.
- 1:13Trust me. Trust me. Believe in me. Believe in this podcast.
- 1:17Believe in this energy, this positive thing that's going to happen.
- 1:21As you listen to this, you got to hit those likes. because you got to,
- 1:25you know, help me out here. You know, make the little comment.
- 1:28Feel free to share because we all got to shut up.
- 1:32And once again, I've told people from previous shows that I did,
- 1:35and I'm going to have a big one coming up in a couple of months in which I'll
- 1:40be kind of reliving and retelling the story of my car accident where I'm celebrating
- 1:4620 years of my anniversary, where I'm here to tell this story.
- 1:52Let's go. Let's go. But hey, I'm here to tell you another story. That's right.
- 1:58So funny, crazy thing. And, you know, sometimes in life, you know,
- 2:01sometimes there's things that, ah, that's what, there's a thing called freak accidents.
- 2:05Meaning that something happened and there are times that people pass away when
- 2:09something crazy happens. You know what I mean?
- 2:12Something that's not normal. Right?
- 2:16And what happened to me, and just to give you, you know, an idea of what a little
- 2:21freak accident sometimes, hey, you know, you hear stories where,
- 2:25you know, somebody got hit a lightning. You know what I mean?
- 2:28And died, you know. And now that does happen. But again, these are little freak
- 2:32actions that you just don't have any control whatsoever.
- 2:37You know, you just don't have control. And in my case, what happened was I'm in the train.
- 2:43I'm getting off the train staff with those people that know New York City, subways, you know.
- 2:48Listen, I love my subway. I ain't going to complain because I don't drive.
- 2:52And I depend on the subway, public transportation.
- 2:55But I'll be honest, the New York City subway needs help.
- 2:59The trains, you know, whatever it is. But hey, I take the train very early in the morning.
- 3:04I'm already taking the train at 4.40 in the morning. Boo, boo.
- 3:08No, it doesn't sound like that.
- 3:10But as I'm getting off, and for those people who have an idea how the public
- 3:15transportation in New York City, if you're down and you don't live in New York
- 3:18City, let's just say that the train has two doors.
- 3:20And when it stops and gets off at the stop that you want to get off,
- 3:23any stop. But in this case, it might stop.
- 3:27Normally, two doors open. You know, they slide, one left, one right.
- 3:30Boom. That's it. And the story, keep walking.
- 3:34For once in a while, we get a little malfunction. And what happened to me is
- 3:38that one of the doors open.
- 3:40And, you know, I'm in New York City, and I want people to understand that.
- 3:44Sometimes a lot of people in New York City, we wire, you know,
- 3:48we're moving at the speed of whatever it is. We wire to move.
- 3:51So one of my pet peeves is that When a train is coming.
- 3:56And, you know, and I see that somebody's, like, trying to run through the turnstile,
- 4:01running, kind of, like, you know, pushing people.
- 4:03And sometimes you say to yourself, man, you know, you get killed or you could kill somebody.
- 4:08Sadly, that would be a freak accident if the person falls on the platform and
- 4:12get hit by the train, which has happened.
- 4:15That would be a freak accident as well, sadly. But it's just that sometimes
- 4:19in New York City in the morning, people would just wire so, like, we got to get to work.
- 4:24Like if it's the end of the world, you know what I mean?
- 4:27So with me, as the door opens, or at least one of the door opens,
- 4:31you know, my mind is like, okay, I'm walking out the door.
- 4:34Every time I do it, I'm walking out. So as I walk out, I don't know where the
- 4:38door, boom, it closes on me again and my book bag is stuck.
- 4:41And I see that, you know, I feel like the train just moves like an inch or whatever
- 4:44for one second. because sometimes there's a once in a while when you get a train
- 4:50and for some reason the train goes backwards.
- 4:54Maybe you miss a stop, something to that effect. But all I know,
- 4:57that thing went a little bit backwards for one second. And let me tell you something.
- 5:02For that one, two seconds, I'm like, what in the world?
- 5:06I'm going to get crushed, you know? So now in New York City,
- 5:11there's these train stations that they put these guardrails because
- 5:15sadly there have been a lot of incidents where people get
- 5:18pushed when the train comes so now there's these
- 5:21guardrails where it kind of would protect that person but let's see how that
- 5:25works let's see if that's gonna help hoping it does i'm hoping that people ah
- 5:31there's a lot of people that have to be mindful of the environment and what's
- 5:35around and sometimes it you know for me the train platform is like an adventure
- 5:39and i'm always looking to the back,
- 5:41I'm always trying to stay away from the edge,
- 5:44always, because you just never know, one little slip, one little accident,
- 5:50you know, I remember one time I'm in a train station.
- 5:55And I'm in a platform and a train is coming, right? And I see these two beautiful females.
- 6:00And out of nowhere, a rat, a big rat, like the size of a cat,
- 6:04comes out of nowhere. And they jump.
- 6:06And they're already jumpy. Keep in mind, the train is coming.
- 6:10Now, good thing they kind of scare the rat. But sometimes there's rats that
- 6:12just be like, yo, wait, yo.
- 6:14What you doing in my platform? You know what I mean?
- 6:19They be rats like that. But once again, we go back to little freak accident.
- 6:24Right there, you know, those two beautiful ladies could have been jumpy.
- 6:28Right now, God knows they were afraid of these rats because these rats, God knows what they got.
- 6:32Boom, before the train hits them again.
- 6:35It's an invention, and it's scary to think about, but for those one or two seconds, I'm like, ah.
- 6:42And I go to the gym, and, you know, from there, I normally go to the gym,
- 6:46and there was a little scratch.
- 6:48It might say, well, not even a scratch, but the rubber from the door was like,
- 6:53damn, because that door, it hit me. Like, it pushed me.
- 6:57But then my butt back got stuck. And I'm like, oh, no.
- 7:01I'm trying to push my butt back. I see, you know, the train just back a little bit.
- 7:05Then I'm in the front, and I'm, like, telling the conductor,
- 7:08I'm like, don't worry, nothing was going to happen to you. It's just the magnet,
- 7:10something with the magnet. I don't know.
- 7:13Malfunction, I don't know. Maybe I heard malfunction or something to that effect,
- 7:17but nothing was going to happen. Oh, that's nice, you know.
- 7:20Of course, I'm here to do this podcast. But it was a little scary because,
- 7:24once again, I kind of tell people.
- 7:26I've been there. And now there's a lot of people that always,
- 7:30you know, kind of live life like, oh, you know, we only live once.
- 7:34We only live once. Life is short.
- 7:37You know, there's a lot of people that never experienced like a near-death experience,
- 7:42never been there before.
- 7:44So, hey, if you've been there, amen.
- 7:47And again, it was last week, you know, I come across this beautiful lady in
- 7:52a restaurant and, you know, we're talking and I'm telling the story about my car accident.
- 7:55Then once again, for her brother to be one of those victims in a car accident,
- 8:00it's a reminder that, hey, I'm telling you.
- 8:05Sometimes I try to say, or at least not to try to tell people your life is short,
- 8:10you know, whatever it is.
- 8:11I just tell people, do whatever you got to do and do it now.
- 8:14The witness of tomorrow, it's just do it now. You should have been doing everything,
- 8:18whatever it is, do it now.
- 8:19Do it now. When you listen to this podcast, whatever your goal,
- 8:23whatever your ambition, whatever you want to do, do it now. I'm telling you.
- 8:29Because 20 years ago, you know, I'm telling people about my car accident.
- 8:3320 years ago, around this time, I knew something was going to happen,
- 8:36but I felt like I needed something.
- 8:39I felt like I needed to elevate myself, but I also was just so down and out.
- 8:44And bound. Once again, and I found myself a little bit down and out a couple
- 8:48of weeks ago. There's a lot of emotions, a lot of thinking.
- 8:52There's a lot of things that I want to do, a lot of things that I'm doing.
- 8:55That's why I'm doing this podcast. I mean, you know, hey, listen,
- 8:58podcast, deconstructing topic, podcast, let's go.
- 9:03And again, you just never know. That was crazy for those one or two seconds.
- 9:08And then when I went to the gym and I put my head down because,
- 9:11again, I had the rub, the dirt of the rubber of the door.
- 9:15And I'm like telling the universe, universe, come on, man. You trying to get
- 9:18me 20 years ago, what are you trying to do now?
- 9:21Because, listen, I want to do a lot of things.
- 9:25I am doing a lot of things. That's why I'm doing this podcast once again.
- 9:29That's how I'm aiming and I'm on a mission. But once again, to my beautiful
- 9:33people that are listening to this, keep mindful of your surroundings.
- 9:39Don't wait until the next day to make things happen. Start making it happen now.
- 9:46Another lesson, again, and you don't want to sound morbid or anything like that.
- 9:51The next day is never guaranteed That's for sure,
- 9:57Anyways, much love out there Much love to my audience My legendary folks out
