- 0:00Speaker 1: Of Babe Ruth, which people think is crazy. But nonetheless,
- 0:02Speaker 1: if you're watching there, you're seeing me do this remotely.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We're testing something out, especially since tomorrow. We will be
- 0:08Speaker 1: at the Faith Fest in Austin, which I'm very much
- 0:11Speaker 1: looking forward to. I think the biggest reason that that
- 0:14Speaker 1: should be a fun event for a lot of people
- 0:19Speaker 1: is because Brandon Gill will be there.
- 0:20Speaker 2: That's not the only reason.
- 0:22Speaker 1: They have a tremendous amount of awesome speakers, a lot
- 0:24Speaker 1: of things that people should go to. The event is
- 0:27Speaker 1: actually Saturday and Sunday. You can still get tickets. I'll
- 0:30Speaker 1: probably throw more of that information out. And they are
- 0:32Speaker 1: sponsoring our trip tomorrow. So tomorrow's show will be sponsored
- 0:36Speaker 1: by the Texas Faith Festival. But nonetheless, I am very
- 0:40Speaker 1: excited to be there and certainly to interact with many
- 0:43Speaker 1: of the people that are there. But because of that,
- 0:45Speaker 1: we're doing today's show from home. If we have any
- 0:48Speaker 1: technical issues, which I hope we don't, I immediately apologize
- 0:51Speaker 1: in advance to Russell because that's stressful on his end
- 0:53Speaker 1: because he has to fix all this stuff. Like, if
- 0:56Speaker 1: I go down where I am now, I'm just at home.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And then, Russell, you have to do all this stuff.
- 1:02Speaker 1: You have to host the show. You have to do
- 1:04Speaker 1: all the commercial breaks. But you're used to this.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Like, Sal Sato, how many years was Sal Sato on KSCV?
- 1:10Speaker 3: What, 14, 15 years?
- 1:10Speaker 1: 14, 15 years. And he did the show a lot,
- 1:15Speaker 1: not from the studio. So this is more normal for
- 1:18Speaker 1: you than when I was sitting across the.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, big time.
- 1:21Speaker 5: I mean, because even the previous host, the great Ed Hendy,
- 1:24Speaker 5: who sat in here for years, he too did the
- 1:27Speaker 5: show from his home.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Okay. All right.
- 1:29Speaker 1: So, yeah, I don't have to go there. If you
- 1:31Speaker 1: guys don't need me there, I don't have to. I
- 1:34Speaker 1: can sit right here. And everything's fine on your end?
- 1:36Speaker 1: We have no technology issues so far? Or am I
- 1:38Speaker 1: jinxing it? I might be jinxing it. So I think
- 1:42Speaker 1: we're fine.
- 1:43Speaker 2: But anyway, all right.
- 1:44Speaker 1: A lot of things to get to, a lot of
- 1:45Speaker 1: stuff to talk about. I am thrilled, as I said,
- 1:48Speaker 1: to be here and to be a part of the
- 1:50Speaker 1: show all the time, this morning show that we do.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I need to meet Ed Hendy. I still haven't met
- 1:55Speaker 1: the man, and I do need to meet him. Maybe
- 1:57Speaker 1: we can set that up somehow. But anyway, I have
- 1:59Speaker 1: a bunch of audio that I want to play. And
- 2:02Speaker 1: what's that?
- 2:04Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Yes, I can.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I don't know if you're telling me that on the
- 2:06Speaker 1: air or off the air, but I can absolutely give
- 2:08Speaker 1: you more as much as you want. Is that enough,
- 2:12Speaker 1: or do you want even more?
- 2:13Speaker 2: Is this good?
- 2:14Speaker 5: I want more.
- 2:15Speaker 6: More?
- 2:17Speaker 5: Listen, I have you potted up all the way to
- 2:19Speaker 5: get a level.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Okay, cool. I can send you as much as you want, then.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Is this enough? Is that enough?
- 2:26Speaker 5: Give me more.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Okay, give you even more. All right. I can give
- 2:29Speaker 2: you a whole lot of gain, and then we can
- 2:31Speaker 2: find the spot that makes... Is that too much? That's good?
- 2:35Speaker 2: All right. No problem. No problem at all. Sorry about that.
- 2:40Speaker 2: It's just a little button push for me.
- 2:41Speaker 1: But anyway, I think I said a second ago I
- 2:43Speaker 1: want to meet Ed Hendy, and I think we've got
- 2:45Speaker 1: to set that up somehow. I've been to Taste of
- 2:47Speaker 1: Texas now once, and it is delicious. It's an incredible
- 2:50Speaker 1: place to go eat food. All right, let's do stuff.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Let's actually do things. I love an interaction that happened
- 2:58Speaker 1: on CNBC. Joe Kiernan was interviewing a politician, a pretty
- 3:03Speaker 1: big one, in Ro Khanna. a Democrat out of California
- 3:06Speaker 1: for people who don't know who that is, although, I
- 3:08Speaker 1: don't know, I assume most people who listen to shows
- 3:10Speaker 1: like this are very familiar with a whole bunch of
- 3:12Speaker 1: the politicians out there. But anyway, Roe was talking about
- 3:17Speaker 1: something else, and Joe Kernan brings up Kiernan brings up
- 3:21Speaker 1: the trading issue that is such a significant issue with
- 3:25Speaker 1: so many politicians. You send somebody to D.C. and they
- 3:28Speaker 1: come back incredibly wealthy. And we would like that to stop.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I love the position that the politicians take when they
- 3:35Speaker 1: claim like I'm against this. I'm totally fine with stopping trading.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And then you ask them again a more pointed question.
- 3:41Speaker 1: But don't you trade and make a bunch of money?
- 3:44Speaker 1: And they try to avoid it. But Joe didn't let
- 3:46Speaker 1: him do it. I thought this was really, really great.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Let's go ahead and play on that.
- 3:50Speaker 7: Well, why don't we have you here?
- 3:51Speaker 8: So I asked you about all your trading.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I was going to ask you first. Okay, I can
- 3:55Speaker 2: fix that too. It's all in a trust, right?
- 3:58Speaker 9: Yes.
- 3:58Speaker 7: And I said, well, do you view... A lot of
- 4:01Speaker 7: the Trump family's investment is the same way, and you
- 4:03Speaker 7: said you have not criticized them because that's the answer.
- 4:06Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 4:07Speaker 8: I've said let's have a ban on all trading, but
- 4:11Speaker 8: I don't go after people personally. I go after the
- 4:13Speaker 8: Trump policies.
- 4:15Speaker 7: What would happen if they banned all trading to all
- 4:17Speaker 7: of your trading that you do? You wouldn't be able
- 4:19Speaker 7: to do any of that?
- 4:20Speaker 3: I don't trade.
- 4:21Speaker 7: You don't mean you. You mean your trust.
- 4:24Speaker 8: I don't trade, and everything should be in trust.
- 4:28Speaker 4: I don't trade.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Your wife does in a trust where you tell her
- 4:32Speaker 1: what to do and making sure that there should be
- 4:35Speaker 1: no conflict.
- 4:35Speaker 7: Because I always get the Twitter people. I think we
- 4:38Speaker 7: ought to ban Twitter. But no, the Twitter people.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I've got to stop it. I love I don't trade. Yeah, no,
- 4:44Speaker 2: we know you don't trade. Your wife does.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And she trades via a trust that you set up
- 4:49Speaker 1: for her, just like every other politician, where they're sending
- 4:52Speaker 1: the money back. to somebody else. It's like, hey, the
- 4:55Speaker 1: money's not for me. I'm not the one doing it.
- 4:57Speaker 1: We remember that Joe Biden's family, including, I think, like
- 5:01Speaker 1: his niece, who was like eight, had a bank account
- 5:03Speaker 1: with a crap ton of money in it.
- 5:05Speaker 2: How did that happen? What happened there?
- 5:07Speaker 1: I want to play it again, because I really think
- 5:08Speaker 1: this is incredibly significant to this conversation, that you have
- 5:13Speaker 1: a politician being asked a pointed question, and he's trying
- 5:16Speaker 1: to be very.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Semantic in the way he says no to it.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And I do dislike a little bit the leniency with
- 5:23Speaker 1: which CNBC eventually.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Just relents because they could have kept pushing. But they
- 5:28Speaker 2: chose not to. But let's play that again.
- 5:29Speaker 7: A lot of the Trump family's investments the same way.
- 5:31Speaker 7: And you said you have not criticized them because that's.
- 5:34Speaker 8: I'm not. I've said let's have a ban on all trading.
- 5:38Speaker 8: But I don't go after people personally. I go after
- 5:41Speaker 8: the Trump policy.
- 5:42Speaker 7: What would happen if they banned all trading to all
- 5:45Speaker 7: of your trading that you do? You wouldn't be able
- 5:47Speaker 7: to do any of that?
- 5:48Speaker 3: I don't trade.
- 5:49Speaker 2: I don't trade.
- 5:49Speaker 10: Okay.
- 5:50Speaker 7: You don't mean you. You mean your trust.
- 5:52Speaker 8: I don't trade. And everything should be in trust.
- 5:53Speaker 5: It's all in trust.
- 5:54Speaker 8: And your wife— I don't trade, and I have led
- 5:59Speaker 8: on banning stock trading and making sure that there should
- 6:02Speaker 8: be no.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Because I always get all this– The other thing that
- 6:06Speaker 1: you really need to understand about the significance of that
- 6:09Speaker 1: discussion and the way that it's happening on TV is
- 6:12Speaker 1: if they did– and Tallarico has been one of the
- 6:15Speaker 1: people who says this in his commercials.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Like, I'm fine with a ban. I support a ban.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I don't think we should trade at all anymore kind
- 6:22Speaker 1: of crap that he says. But anyway, as he says that,
- 6:26Speaker 1: he knows that they can just let somebody else in
- 6:28Speaker 1: the family do the trading for them.
- 6:30Speaker 2: They can't ban everyone connected to the family.
- 6:33Speaker 1: So the politicians know that I'm just going to extend
- 6:36Speaker 1: the chain as far as I need to extend it.
- 6:39Speaker 1: And this sounds the most mob guy to me out
- 6:41Speaker 1: of anything mob guy that we could be talking about,
- 6:45Speaker 1: to be totally honest with you, because inevitably they're going
- 6:47Speaker 1: to do the meeting where the politician sits down with
- 6:50Speaker 1: like the the second cousin of somebody and does the
- 6:55Speaker 1: very whispery like you're going to make some money.
- 6:57Speaker 2: We're going to make some money.
- 6:58Speaker 1: You do the trades. You set up the trust. It's
- 7:01Speaker 1: in your name, not mine. And I'll tell you what
- 7:03Speaker 1: to do. Essentially, we can't really stop them in the
- 7:07Speaker 1: world of trading with insider information with a lot of
- 7:10Speaker 1: the suggestions that Democrats make to block it. They know
- 7:13Speaker 1: that they're just going to create a loophole and they're
- 7:16Speaker 1: going to create a a optic version of claiming that
- 7:19Speaker 1: that they're no longer doing the thing that they're definitely doing.
- 7:22Speaker 2: They just want to do it a little bit smarter.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And this is, to me, a big, big part of
- 7:30Speaker 1: what should inevitably be the way that we discuss Tallarico
- 7:34Speaker 1: and his positions on certain issues, the ones that sound
- 7:36Speaker 1: like he's anti-democratic thoughts and beliefs, because there's those TV
- 7:44Speaker 1: commercials that you see where he says the stuff about
- 7:46Speaker 1: the insider trading or this or that or, you know,
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'm anti. People are going to donate a bunch of
- 7:51Speaker 1: money from some corporation somewhere to me. But they always
- 7:54Speaker 1: create the loophole and they hope you don't look close
- 7:56Speaker 1: enough and you don't find it.
- 7:58Speaker 2: And that if someone like me looks close enough and.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Finds the loophole and tells you about it, they're hoping
- 8:04Speaker 1: that most of their supporters ignore me because they've been
- 8:06Speaker 1: convinced that I'm a racist, sexist piece of crap.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Like that's that's the whole.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Game is we'll create the Obama health care, horrible thing,
- 8:15Speaker 1: Obamacare that's going to hurt most of us. That's not
- 8:18Speaker 1: going to do anything good that they claim it's going
- 8:21Speaker 1: to do. It's going to do a lot of great
- 8:22Speaker 1: things for all of their friends who are running these
- 8:25Speaker 1: pharmacies and these these pharmaceutical corporations.
- 8:28Speaker 2: But it's going to hurt everybody else.
- 8:30Speaker 1: And in the process of that, they're going to claim
- 8:32Speaker 1: that they did something good. that it's always the way
- 8:35Speaker 1: that it works. And so I just found that to
- 8:37Speaker 1: be really, really entertaining. I know it's an odd, maybe
- 8:41Speaker 1: a little bit more off the beaten path way to
- 8:43Speaker 1: start the show. But to be honest, I know that
- 8:45Speaker 1: we were also going to troubleshoot some technical stuff.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Right at the beginning.
- 8:48Speaker 1: So I don't want to go too far with too much,
- 8:50Speaker 1: but we can take a break. After the break, we'll
- 8:52Speaker 1: come back. Hopefully we have a completely tech issue free show.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I just keep saying it, which I think like I'm
- 8:59Speaker 1: begging to fall off the stage and break my leg.
- 9:02Speaker 2: But anyway, we'll see what happens here.
- 9:05Speaker 1: There's a lot more to talk about in the world
- 9:06Speaker 1: of politics, a lot to talk about in the world
- 9:09Speaker 1: of just sort of more fun stuff, because I do
- 9:12Speaker 1: want to have fun on a Thursday. Tomorrow, we will
- 9:15Speaker 1: be doing the entire show from Texas Faith Fest. There'll
- 9:17Speaker 1: be a lot of great conversations. We won't do a
- 9:20Speaker 1: Veteran Voices tomorrow. We'll have to skip a week for
- 9:23Speaker 1: that and be back with you with Veteran Voices the
- 9:25Speaker 1: following Friday.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Talk to you in a bit.
- 10:07Speaker 10: When it's time to vote, being informed matters. Register to
- 10:11Speaker 10: vote by October 5th. Early voting runs October 19th through
- 10:16Speaker 10: October 30th. Apply for a mail-in ballot by October 23rd.
- 10:20Speaker 10: Election day is November 3rd. Everything you need to be
- 10:23Speaker 10: ready is at VoteTexas.gov. Know the dates.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Know what to bring.
- 10:29Speaker 10: Because when you're prepared, you can vote with confidence. Paid
- 10:32Speaker 10: for by the Office of the Texas Secretary of State.
- 10:37Speaker 2: When it comes to garage.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Doors, no one knows more than the doctor.
- 10:41Speaker 11: Garage Door Doctor.
- 10:45Speaker 3: If there's just one piece of advice I could give
- 10:47Speaker 3: every homeowner, it's this. If your garage door spring breaks,
- 10:51Speaker 3: don't try to fix it. Those springs are under incredible tension.
- 10:54Speaker 3: They're designed to lift the garage door that can weigh two, three,
- 10:57Speaker 3: or even 400 pounds. When they fail, they can be
- 11:00Speaker 3: dangerous without the right tools and the right training. Hi,
- 11:03Speaker 3: I'm Tommy Mello, CEO of Garage Door Doctor. The good news,
- 11:07Speaker 3: most spring replacements are very straightforward when performed by an
- 11:10Speaker 3: expert technician. We use high-quality springs designed to last a lifetime.
- 11:15Speaker 3: And we stand behind our work so you can have
- 11:17Speaker 3: confidence every time your garage door opens. When it comes
- 11:20Speaker 3: to springs, leave it to the professionals. Locally operated, focused
- 11:24Speaker 3: on serving families and the community better. Save $ 100 on
- 11:27Speaker 3: a new spring replacement today. From repairs to upgrades, call
- 11:31Speaker 3: Garage Door Doctor today.
- 11:32Speaker 11: Garage Door Doctor.
- 11:36Speaker 12: What kind of home do you live in?
- 11:38Speaker 2: We live in a two-bedroom high-rise condo.
- 11:40Speaker 1: A three-bedroom family home.
- 11:42Speaker 2: In the suburbs.
- 11:43Speaker 13: A farmhouse on our family ranch passed down through generations.
- 11:48Speaker 12: It doesn't matter where you live or what kind of
- 11:51Speaker 12: home you have. You all have one thing in common.
- 11:54Speaker 12: Gina Hinojosa voted to increase your property taxes. Not once,
- 11:58Speaker 12: not twice, but 40 different times Gina Hinojosa voted to
- 12:03Speaker 12: raise your property taxes. If she has her way, you'll
- 12:06Speaker 12: be priced out of your own home. Gina Hinojosa is
- 12:10Speaker 12: too radical to be governor of Texas. Luckily, Governor Greg
- 12:14Speaker 12: Abbott has a better plan.
- 12:16Speaker 14: We have to stop the insanity and instead give you
- 12:21Speaker 14: a different property tax relief that will do more than
- 12:24Speaker 14: cut your property tax bill in half forever. You're going
- 12:27Speaker 14: to be able to live in your home for the
- 12:29Speaker 14: rest of your lives without being priced.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Out of it.
- 12:32Speaker 12: Greg Abbott, governor.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Political ad paid for by Texans for Greg Abbott.
- 12:37Speaker 13: At O'Hare & Company Real Estate, we believe there are
- 12:39Speaker 13: people in our country and other countries that are trying
- 12:42Speaker 13: to chip away at our freedom. We are taking a
- 12:44Speaker 13: stand against the tyranny that is happening and want to
- 12:46Speaker 13: protect what our veterans and forefathers have fought and died for.
- 12:50Speaker 13: Texans are independent thinkers, self-reliant, and bold. If you want
- 12:53Speaker 13: a real estate company that has a backbone, give us
- 12:56Speaker 13: a call at 281-373-3393. Again, that's 281-373-3393. Or look us
- 13:04Speaker 13: up on the web at oherare.com.
- 13:08Speaker 15: Tune in to the Ray Massey Reverse Mortgage Show each
- 13:10Speaker 15: Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m. with
- 13:13Speaker 15: Trebo Mortgage. Or call Ray directly at 855-266-1600. Or online
- 13:15Speaker 15: at reversemortgages4texans. com.
- 13:32Speaker 2: KSEB Morning. We are the Mob Guys. My name is
- 13:37Speaker 2: Craig Colonnade. Wayne Dolcefino is on special assignment. I am
- 13:41Speaker 2: broadcasting from my home studio, which you can see if
- 13:44Speaker 2: you go to any of our social media channels.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Facebook is usually active when Wayne's here. It's not active today.
- 13:51Speaker 1: But Rumble, YouTube, and XR. And I should start saying
- 13:54Speaker 1: this on the radio or wherever people are listening to
- 13:57Speaker 1: this on our app, our web stream.
- 14:00Speaker 2: You can interact with us on those social media channels.
- 14:03Speaker 1: If you send a message, I can monitor them and
- 14:05Speaker 1: I can start throwing your comments on the air. That
- 14:08Speaker 1: might be a good way to start to encourage more
- 14:11Speaker 1: people to not just consume our digital product there, but
- 14:14Speaker 1: actually talk to us.
- 14:15Speaker 2: It might be an easy way.
- 14:16Speaker 1: It's sort of like texting a radio station.
- 14:19Speaker 2: You can do it. It might be a lot of fun.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I want to play some audio of Tom Holman.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I think this is a really great point that Tom
- 14:26Speaker 1: is making that the left seems to hate for very
- 14:29Speaker 1: dumb reasons. But Tom is talking about the amount of
- 14:32Speaker 1: people who've actually been deported from this country and the
- 14:35Speaker 1: significant majority of them have records that are far beyond
- 14:39Speaker 1: just being here illegally. It's easy to make the argument
- 14:43Speaker 1: to anyone that says someone who's deported and the only
- 14:46Speaker 1: crime they committed was that they're here illegally is still criminal.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Like the left pretends that's not a crime.
- 14:51Speaker 1: That's like a get out of jail free card in
- 14:54Speaker 1: Monopoly or something. But if you want to go beyond that,
- 14:57Speaker 1: if you actually want to have a conversation about the
- 15:00Speaker 1: amount of people who are doing other bad things, it's
- 15:03Speaker 1: a significant, significant portion of the people that we are
- 15:06Speaker 1: sending back home, wherever home may be.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 15:09Speaker 7: Immigration system.
- 15:11Speaker 16: I want to remind her, ICE has arrested hundreds of
- 15:14Speaker 16: thousands of public safety threats and removed the amount of
- 15:19Speaker 16: our neighborhoods and communities, making this country safer. Over 60%
- 15:23Speaker 16: of ICE arrests are criminals. That's just a stone cold fact.
- 15:28Speaker 16: Hundreds of thousands removed from the country, which you see
- 15:30Speaker 16: the crime rate going down. It's a lot to do
- 15:32Speaker 16: with it. Plus, ICE is in charge of narcotics investigation,
- 15:35Speaker 16: drug smuggling investigation, investigations revolving technology being sworn on. you know,
- 15:41Speaker 16: smuggled out of the country, given to our enemies to
- 15:43Speaker 16: be used against our war fighters that do human trafficking investigations.
- 15:47Speaker 16: So ICE is more than immigration, first of all. If
- 15:49Speaker 16: you want to abolish ICE, start by abolishing Congress, because
- 15:53Speaker 16: they wrote the law that ICE is enforcing. ICE isn't
- 15:56Speaker 16: making this up. They're enforcing it.
- 15:58Speaker 1: You know what's bad about that, by the way? As
- 15:59Speaker 1: he says, abolish Congress, a bunch of the left wants
- 16:02Speaker 1: to do that. They want to upend the entire system.
- 16:04Speaker 1: So that's not going to be something that lands on
- 16:07Speaker 1: deaf ears on the Democratic side of the aisle. Republicans, conservatives,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I think just simple, logical people understand we can't abolish.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Everything that exists within our government. But I do love
- 16:19Speaker 2: that he said it.
- 16:19Speaker 1: He goes, if you want to abolish ICE, then go
- 16:21Speaker 1: ahead and abolish Congress entirely. But it's that first comment, too.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And I'll be fair, or at least I'll be a
- 16:28Speaker 1: little critical is probably the right way to.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Say it to Holman.
- 16:31Speaker 1: He describes 60 percent of the people who are here
- 16:33Speaker 1: illegally as criminals, not 100. And again, it is 100
- 16:38Speaker 1: because you've broken the law when you came into the
- 16:41Speaker 1: country without the right to be here. You stayed longer
- 16:44Speaker 1: than you were supposed to. But he uses the left's
- 16:46Speaker 1: language to describe the amount of people who are actually
- 16:49Speaker 1: guilty of quite a bit more.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And that is, and I'll continue to say it, fairly important.
- 16:55Speaker 2: in this discussion.
- 16:57Speaker 1: And it's not something that people on the left even
- 17:00Speaker 1: want to acknowledge or admit.
- 17:02Speaker 2: They want to.
- 17:02Speaker 1: 100% ignore that type of reality and just barrel toward
- 17:09Speaker 1: a version of let's swing the border wide open again,
- 17:12Speaker 1: especially if they win Texas. To be honest with you,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I know we've said this before, but I'll say it again.
- 17:17Speaker 1: If somehow Texas does flip blue, regardless of what data
- 17:22Speaker 1: suggests that maybe people are just mad at Trump or something,
- 17:26Speaker 1: and I don't think that'll happen. I do think Paxton
- 17:28Speaker 1: will win. I've seen the recent polling. I know it's
- 17:31Speaker 1: within one percentage point. I also think polls are by
- 17:34Speaker 1: and large stupid. And I've told anyone on these radio
- 17:38Speaker 1: shows that I've done at this station, this one and
- 17:40Speaker 1: the ones before it, that they even admit that. The pollsters,
- 17:44Speaker 1: if you look up the data online, admit that they're
- 17:47Speaker 1: only right about 30 percent.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Of the time.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Hall of Fame batting average in the world of baseball.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Terrible for anything else. A significant F in the world of,
- 17:56Speaker 1: you know, you go to go to school for this.
- 17:58Speaker 1: But anyway, 30 percent of the time they're right within,
- 18:02Speaker 1: I think, just a month of the election.
- 18:04Speaker 2: So even before that, it's worse. But that's the best
- 18:06Speaker 2: they do.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Up until we're a couple weeks out in which some
- 18:10Speaker 1: of the polling starts to get closer. But even then, 50,
- 18:13Speaker 1: 60 percent of the time is the absolute best possible
- 18:16Speaker 1: scenario for most of those polls. They're essentially pretty much
- 18:20Speaker 1: always wrong, which is amazing to think about because of
- 18:24Speaker 1: how often people talk about them in.
- 18:26Speaker 2: A lot of political places, because we want insight. I'll
- 18:30Speaker 2: explain that. Let me go ahead and explain that real quick.
- 18:34Speaker 1: We want me, people that do what I do for
- 18:37Speaker 1: a living, to believe that we have a grasp on
- 18:40Speaker 1: what will happen based on data. We don't just make
- 18:43Speaker 1: stuff up, whatever we're accused of, we don't. And some
- 18:46Speaker 1: of the best data we have are the polls that
- 18:49Speaker 1: call a few thousand people, and then the ones who
- 18:51Speaker 1: actually answer the question, which are more likely to be
- 18:54Speaker 1: Democrats than conservatives. If a pollster calls me, I'm going
- 18:57Speaker 1: to hang up on them. And most other people like
- 19:00Speaker 1: me will do that. So that's why we don't have
- 19:02Speaker 1: our number represented as well.
- 19:03Speaker 2: As it should be.
- 19:04Speaker 1: But anyway, They call, they give us a few thousand people.
- 19:08Speaker 1: They tell us what they think the error rate will
- 19:10Speaker 1: be or the margin of potentially being wrong about this.
- 19:15Speaker 2: And then, boom, that's it. We put that out there.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I read that. I pretend I know some things.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I would sad about that version of perpetuating a belief
- 19:25Speaker 1: beyond just, say, the pollsters who might be biased in
- 19:28Speaker 1: how they're creating the poll to begin with, and some are.
- 19:31Speaker 1: But the actual problem there is it's so disconnected from
- 19:34Speaker 1: from just talking to people.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And in a better way, and I think.
- 19:38Speaker 1: There are a lot of radio hosts or broadcasters who
- 19:40Speaker 1: do this, a lot of them work at this radio station.
- 19:43Speaker 2: You go and you talk to people.
- 19:45Speaker 1: At the Texas Faith Fest, and then actually I was
- 19:47Speaker 1: texting Senator Paul Betancourt and he was joking about me
- 19:52Speaker 1: maybe going to the Trib Fest, which is a pretty
- 19:55Speaker 1: hardcore Democratic thing. I think even Tallarica will be there.
- 20:01Speaker 1: And it's the same weekend. I suggest you go to
- 20:04Speaker 1: the Texas Faith Fest in Austin on Saturday and Sunday
- 20:07Speaker 1: and But the Trib Fest is also there. And again,
- 20:10Speaker 1: I could break into some of these conversations, maybe ask
- 20:13Speaker 1: some questions of some of these people.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I could even try to get a press pass.
- 20:16Speaker 1: But I just think it's funny because they'll all probably
- 20:20Speaker 1: be talking about how great their ratings or their poll
- 20:22Speaker 1: numbers are and how excited they are to maybe flip
- 20:25Speaker 1: some stuff. And again, these are really the only ways
- 20:28Speaker 1: that you actually interact with people. So I just want
- 20:31Speaker 1: to talk to the attendees. that are going to FaithFest
- 20:34Speaker 1: or going to maybe TribFest. Maybe I'll stand outside it
- 20:37Speaker 1: with a microphone for a bit. Maybe I'll pull a
- 20:39Speaker 1: Wayne Dolcefino. I wonder if the station's okay with that.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I can ask Russell on the air, if I go
- 20:45Speaker 1: to TribFest and cause a scene, am I in trouble
- 20:48Speaker 1: with the radio station or not?
- 20:50Speaker 2: Is that a yes or a no? I probably wouldn't look.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Very good for you.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Was that?
- 20:55Speaker 5: Said it probably wouldn't look very good for you.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Well, but what if it's just like me, you know,
- 21:00Speaker 1: getting in trouble by yelling at Tallarico?
- 21:03Speaker 2: There's got to be a way where I can make
- 21:04Speaker 2: it look OK, right?
- 21:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I guess that would be OK. OK. I mean,
- 21:09Speaker 5: don't go out there and make an ass of yourself.
- 21:12Speaker 17: No, no, no.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I want to pull a Dolce Fino, man.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I want to do the investigative reporter thing outside the
- 21:16Speaker 1: Trib Fest where all the Democrats are and And scream
- 21:19Speaker 1: some truths at him and see what happens.
- 21:21Speaker 2: And then maybe, you know what would be funny about that?
- 21:23Speaker 1: If I got arrested, which is an odd thing to
- 21:26Speaker 1: say on the radio, I think the only person that
- 21:28Speaker 1: would be proud of me would be Wayne Dolcefino. Because
- 21:30Speaker 1: he has been arrested a tremendous amount of times. Do
- 21:33Speaker 1: you think I'm right about that?
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay. I love the way that Russell just said that.
- 21:40Speaker 2: He was like, yeah, don't do that.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I heard the don't do that in the background of
- 21:44Speaker 1: the yes that you just said. But I kind of
- 21:46Speaker 1: want to make Wayne proud of me. I'll probably ask
- 21:49Speaker 1: him tomorrow about that if he thinks that it's a
- 21:50Speaker 1: good idea to get arrested at Tribfest.
- 21:53Speaker 2: And I'm going to get a terrible answer.
- 21:54Speaker 1: But nonetheless, the point I was making before I got
- 21:56Speaker 1: very distracted by something that entertained my mind is that
- 22:01Speaker 1: there's going to be a lot of people in Austin
- 22:03Speaker 1: on two different sides of the political aisle. A lot
- 22:05Speaker 1: of people at the Texas Faith Fest will be people
- 22:08Speaker 1: that are likely to vote for Ken Paxton or at
- 22:10Speaker 1: least likely to vote for a lot of Republicans. And
- 22:13Speaker 1: a lot of people at the Tribfest are all going
- 22:15Speaker 1: to vote Democratic. So it'll be an interesting thing to
- 22:18Speaker 1: compare the attendance of one, the attendance of the other,
- 22:21Speaker 1: and also just the conversations that happen, because that's so
- 22:24Speaker 1: much more valuable than, say, poll numbers. That's so much
- 22:27Speaker 1: more valuable than any sort of discussion we want to
- 22:30Speaker 1: have about some pollster that claims that they know stuff
- 22:33Speaker 1: that they actually pretty widely admit they don't know up
- 22:37Speaker 1: until a couple weeks before the election. And even that,
- 22:39Speaker 1: as I said, don't actually fully grasp. So it'll just
- 22:43Speaker 1: be entertaining to see. And I think it'll be a
- 22:45Speaker 1: valuable conversation to be had with the people there. And
- 22:48Speaker 1: maybe I'll do some of that. Because I'll say one
- 22:52Speaker 1: more thing, and I know we're up against another break.
- 22:54Speaker 1: The Faith Fest is doing a great job of organizing
- 22:57Speaker 1: different interviews for me with the attendees. Well, excuse me,
- 23:01Speaker 1: with the speakers. With the prominent people who will be
- 23:05Speaker 1: sharing all kinds of messages. And I think a lot
- 23:08Speaker 1: of them will be pretty valuable to bring to you
- 23:10Speaker 1: next week if we don't do.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Them tomorrow during our remote show.
- 23:14Speaker 1: But Beyond that, I think that there's an opportunity for
- 23:17Speaker 1: me to just grab some audio talking to people and
- 23:20Speaker 1: bring that to you. So maybe I'll do that. And
- 23:22Speaker 1: maybe I'll do that on both sides. Again, I'm really
- 23:24Speaker 1: intrigued with the idea of this. I'm going to bounce
- 23:27Speaker 1: these concepts off of Wayne, maybe via text or at
- 23:31Speaker 1: some point tomorrow, maybe on the radio. And then also
- 23:34Speaker 1: get a phone number for his lawyer, just in case
- 23:36Speaker 1: I need it.
- 23:38Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 23:38Speaker 16: All right.
- 23:39Speaker 2: We'll take a break. We'll come back.
- 23:40Speaker 1: We'll talk about some other serious stuff and then maybe
- 23:43Speaker 1: do a little bit more silly stuff. This is KSEV Mornings,

- 24:15Speaker 15: He'll change his tune back to where he was.
- 24:18Speaker 12: If it helps him win, okay.
- 24:20Speaker 18: Spoiler alert, that's exactly what he'll do. Democrats always do.

- 27:02Speaker 6: anticipate partly sunny conditions with a high of 93. Sunday
- 27:05Speaker 6: will also be partly sunny and very warm with a

- 27:09Speaker 6: intervals of bright sunshine with a chance of a thunderstorm

- 27:26Speaker 1: This is the Mob Guys on KSED Mornings.
- 27:30Speaker 2: My name is Greg Colonnade. This is Wayne DelCastino on
- 27:32Speaker 2: Special Assignment, but he will be here tomorrow.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I saw him on Isaiah Factor last night on television,
- 27:39Speaker 1: live from California, with a fancy vehicle and also a
- 27:44Speaker 1: fancy lady in the backseat of the car that one
- 27:46Speaker 1: of the other hosts joked about. I think it's just
- 27:48Speaker 1: one of his producers, but it was funny to hear
- 27:50Speaker 1: How awesome, how Hollywood or just, you know, I don't know,
- 27:57Speaker 1: a lot of things.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Successful.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Wayne looked on television. So I highly recommend people go
- 28:01Speaker 1: check that out. Isaiah Factor. Wayne was on TV last night.
- 28:05Speaker 1: It was a good thing. They did not mention the
- 28:07Speaker 1: KSCV radio show. Both Isaiah, the host of the show,
- 28:11Speaker 1: didn't do it. And then Wayne didn't bring it up.
- 28:13Speaker 1: And I was disappointed by that. I'm going to ask
- 28:15Speaker 1: him about it tomorrow. And he won't care. Wayne won't
- 28:19Speaker 1: give a crap at all. But I wanted to ask
- 28:21Speaker 1: him because it's not his job. It's the host's job
- 28:24Speaker 1: to throw it out there. And that was a swing
- 28:25Speaker 1: and a miss. But other than that, a really great conversation.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Before I get to more political stuff, I do want
- 28:32Speaker 1: to have a quick conversation about the Astros and baseball.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And, Russell, you can jump in on this, too.
- 28:38Speaker 16: Sure.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Because the Rangers might actually get swept by the Mets,
- 28:42Speaker 1: which is hilarious to me.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Yes, it is.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Okay, go ahead.
- 28:46Speaker 8: Tell us why.
- 28:46Speaker 5: I hope it happens.
- 28:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Tell us why it's hilarious to you, because the Mets
- 28:50Speaker 1: are a terrible baseball team.
- 28:52Speaker 5: They are a terrible team.
- 28:53Speaker 8: Right.
- 28:53Speaker 2: And so are the Rangers, apparently.
- 28:55Speaker 5: So are the Astros.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Well, then, it's so weird, though, and I think we
- 28:59Speaker 1: mentioned this the other day, or maybe it was Jack
- 29:02Speaker 1: that I can't remember who said this to me, you
- 29:04Speaker 1: or Jack, that the playoffs is just a new season,
- 29:07Speaker 1: so they can switch it on. The players who are
- 29:09Speaker 1: playing poorly for a couple weeks can play well. The
- 29:12Speaker 1: Astros can be the best version of themselves, and they could.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Make some noise in.
- 29:18Speaker 5: The playoffs if they get there. The noise that they
- 29:20Speaker 5: can make, it comes down to this, because they're in
- 29:22Speaker 5: a great situation where they avoid, in the divisional round
- 29:27Speaker 5: of the playoffs, the Red Sox, Yankees, and Tampa Bay Rays.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Yes, they do.
- 29:32Speaker 5: If they win the division, they're probably going to get
- 29:34Speaker 5: the White Sox, who they dominated in the regular season,
- 29:37Speaker 5: which doesn't mean anything in the postseason, but it's obviously
- 29:40Speaker 5: a less formidable team. And then if they win that
- 29:43Speaker 5: series in the wildcard round, then they face the Guardians,
- 29:46Speaker 5: who it's a winnable series.
- 29:49Speaker 7: Yes.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it is.
- 29:50Speaker 1: And the other thing that's funny is that even though
- 29:52Speaker 1: you said they're happy to avoid the Yankees, I'm thrilled
- 29:55Speaker 1: that we wouldn't play the Astros.
- 29:57Speaker 5: Listen, the Astros are your kryptonite.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I know they are, especially in the playoffs. Like, we'll
- 30:03Speaker 1: get swept if we wind up playing them in the
- 30:04Speaker 1: divisional round. I don't want to see them in the
- 30:07Speaker 1: championship round, but I was thrilled when I looked at
- 30:09Speaker 1: it and saw that if the Astros make it, there's
- 30:11Speaker 1: no way they're playing the Yankees into the ALCS. Because
- 30:15Speaker 1: it's good for us. We I don't want that. I
- 30:17Speaker 1: don't want any of that. I don't want any of
- 30:18Speaker 1: that noise. But I do think it's interesting that the
- 30:21Speaker 1: two Texas teams are trying to it's weird.
- 30:23Speaker 2: They're in the same division. I know it's been a while.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I know this is not a new thing.
- 30:28Speaker 1: But for anybody that grew up remembering the Astros playing
- 30:31Speaker 1: in the NL or just in general, I don't know
- 30:33Speaker 1: why the Rangers and the Astros are in. the same division.
- 30:36Speaker 1: I feel like that's a mistake. Cause I'd like them
- 30:38Speaker 1: both to be able to make, well, they can make
- 30:40Speaker 1: the playoffs. One is a wild card.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. I just like for them to make
- 30:44Speaker 2: it differently.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I think that the Rangers should be in the, in
- 30:48Speaker 1: the central and they shouldn't be in the West, but
- 30:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 30:51Speaker 2: It's, it's just, it's a weird thing. Is that, it's
- 30:54Speaker 2: not weird to you. It's just weird to me.
- 30:56Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 30:57Speaker 9: Okay.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Cause it's been a long time, but it used to
- 30:59Speaker 2: not exist. I don't know.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I like the fact that the Mets and the Yankees,
- 31:02Speaker 1: for example, uh, don't play in the same league or
- 31:05Speaker 1: they don't play in the same division so that they
- 31:07Speaker 1: could make it to the world series against each other.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Rangers Astros world series would have been a fun thing.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Although I doubt that'll happen anytime. Why can't happen, but
- 31:15Speaker 1: I doubt it would have happened with the way the
- 31:16Speaker 1: teams play. But I'm, I'm interested to see how the
- 31:19Speaker 1: last few days will go of the baseball season, because
- 31:22Speaker 1: I do think the Astros are sort of guaranteed to
- 31:25Speaker 1: make it in. And I'm probably jinxing them too. When
- 31:27Speaker 1: I say this, I'm doing a lot of that on
- 31:29Speaker 1: the air today. because of just how bad the Rangers
- 31:32Speaker 1: are playing right now.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Think so?
- 31:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, listen, I hope the Astros can make it.
- 31:38Speaker 5: I mean, it's going to be tough, but, you know,
- 31:41Speaker 5: they're playing the A's at that minor league ballpark, and
- 31:45Speaker 5: you know how the ball can fly out of there,
- 31:46Speaker 5: so we'll see. I mean, if they do not win,
- 31:49Speaker 5: if they lose out by one game against the Rangers,
- 31:51Speaker 5: I'll be pointing to this game last night that they
- 31:53Speaker 5: blew with that 4-0 lead.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that did not look great.
- 31:57Speaker 1: But then you look over across the street, and the
- 31:59Speaker 1: Rangers are losing again to the Mets, so it didn't
- 32:01Speaker 1: hurt as much as it could have.
- 32:02Speaker 2: All right, fair enough, man. I just wanted to talk
- 32:04Speaker 2: about that a little bit.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I do want to play some audio that I really,
- 32:07Speaker 1: really like of Senator Kennedy, who's very funny, John Kennedy
- 32:12Speaker 1: out of Louisiana. He was having a conversation on Fox
- 32:16Speaker 1: about Iran.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Iran was in the news again.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Yesterday, mostly because— and I don't bring to this show— a
- 32:24Speaker 1: lot of the rhetoric that comes out of Iran.
- 32:26Speaker 2: And I don't understand.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Why political people do that now. And I don't just
- 32:31Speaker 1: mean politicians. I mean, even people who vote on the
- 32:34Speaker 1: left will quote what Iran was saying about how much
- 32:37Speaker 1: enriched uranium they had.
- 32:39Speaker 2: And they are the biggest liars of all the liars.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Like, why are some people more likely to listen to
- 32:45Speaker 1: the messaging out of that country than our own messaging?
- 32:48Speaker 2: You can't hate Trump that much. And yet a whole
- 32:51Speaker 2: lot of people do.
- 32:52Speaker 1: But nonetheless, Kennedy put it fairly simplistically and a way
- 32:56Speaker 1: that only he really can when talking about how terrible
- 32:59Speaker 1: Iran is as a place and how much the people
- 33:02Speaker 1: there suck.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Let's play a little bit of that. What do you
- 33:05Speaker 2: make of what happened today at the U.N.
- 33:06Speaker 6: And what you think could happen potentially with President Trump,
- 33:10Speaker 6: the Iranian delegation?
- 33:13Speaker 21: I think that the people running Iran are reptiles.
- 33:21Speaker 10: Go, sir.
- 33:22Speaker 21: And they're part of a colony of reptiles.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Sure.
- 33:26Speaker 21: China, North Korea, Russia, and as I said, Iran. The
- 33:34Speaker 21: chief reptile, the quarterback, is President Xi in China.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Who is now in the United States.
- 33:42Speaker 21: You can't trust any of them.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Correct.
- 33:45Speaker 21: All four of them are the same. It's like the
- 33:49Speaker 21: same hooker.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I'm going to stop it there. That's a heck of
- 33:56Speaker 1: a comment from Senator Kennedy. The other thing that's kind
- 34:00Speaker 1: of relevant to that discussion or to that point is
- 34:04Speaker 1: that President Trump is meeting with Xi Jinping in China today.
- 34:08Speaker 1: They're at a military base here in the United States.
- 34:10Speaker 1: They didn't meet at the White House. And they're going
- 34:12Speaker 1: to be having pretty important conversations, I imagine, behind the scenes.
- 34:16Speaker 1: But I fully agree with Senator Kennedy that he is
- 34:19Speaker 1: head reptile. And China wants North Korea and Russia and
- 34:23Speaker 1: Iran to continue to hate the United States, to continue
- 34:27Speaker 1: to do things that benefit China and hurt us. They
- 34:30Speaker 1: want that system in place. And so it's it's not
- 34:33Speaker 1: going to change. And I do think here I'll say
- 34:36Speaker 1: this because I do think it's interesting. There's a lot
- 34:38Speaker 1: of people that believe that the optics of Trump seeming
- 34:42Speaker 1: to be nice to Xi Jinping right now. just like
- 34:45Speaker 1: he seemingly was nice to Zoran Mamdami the other day,
- 34:48Speaker 1: those things are bad to many, many people on the
- 34:52Speaker 1: conservative side of the aisle because those things seem weak.
- 34:55Speaker 1: But President Trump has always been and will continue to
- 34:58Speaker 1: be a dealmaker first. And a dealmaker knows that what
- 35:02Speaker 1: you say publicly and what you say.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Privately can be completely different things.
- 35:07Speaker 1: If the public thing gets you an opportunity to get
- 35:10Speaker 1: the deal you want, who cares?
- 35:12Speaker 2: He does not care.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Trump will say one thing today and another thing tomorrow
- 35:17Speaker 1: about Xi Jinping. If he if he thinks he's got
- 35:20Speaker 1: a shot at a deal and then if he's told
- 35:21Speaker 1: no to whatever that deal might be.
- 35:23Speaker 2: And I that doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother me
- 35:26Speaker 2: with Mamdami.
- 35:27Speaker 1: It doesn't bother me with anyone because the way that
- 35:30Speaker 1: President Trump is going about it is different than the
- 35:33Speaker 1: rest of us.
- 35:33Speaker 2: I'm not going to change my rhetoric, my discussion.
- 35:36Speaker 1: How I believe these individuals behave, like Momdami or Xi
- 35:41Speaker 1: Jinping or any of the above all of the government
- 35:44Speaker 1: in Iran, I can crap on them day in and
- 35:47Speaker 1: day out because I'm not going to call them and
- 35:48Speaker 1: make a deal tomorrow on something or attempt to make
- 35:51Speaker 1: a deal or hopefully force them into a scenario where
- 35:54Speaker 1: they actually have to make good on whatever that deal
- 35:56Speaker 1: might be. And I think a lot of times people
- 35:59Speaker 1: seem to reject or refuse to understand that.
- 36:02Speaker 2: I do also want to play this. I find this
- 36:05Speaker 2: to be interesting, too. This is a report. I think
- 36:08Speaker 2: this was on a couple different places.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I think I have the CNN version of it talking
- 36:13Speaker 1: about the lawsuit and the district judge who is hearing
- 36:17Speaker 1: the emergency lawsuit from CNN, MSN, MSNOW.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Whatever the hell it's supposed to be called, Politico, because.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Trump has kicked them out of some press conferences, press
- 36:27Speaker 1: briefings and whatnot.
- 36:29Speaker 2: I'll just play the latest as far as the update
- 36:31Speaker 2: goes there. We have breaking news.
- 36:33Speaker 9: A federal judge, a Trump appointee, has just started to
- 36:37Speaker 9: hear CNN, MSNOW and Politico's lawsuit against the Trump administration.
- 36:42Speaker 9: The news organizations suing over the president banning their.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Access to the White House.
- 36:47Speaker 9: Yesterday, the Justice Department filed its response.
- 36:49Speaker 2: To the lawsuit.
- 36:50Speaker 22: DOJ says the ban was due to some of the
- 36:52Speaker 22: outlet stories threatening national security. We should point out that's
- 36:56Speaker 22: not what we heard from President Trump himself, who suggested
- 36:59Speaker 22: that it was negative coverage that led to this ban.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Can't those two things be connected, by the way?
- 37:06Speaker 1: I'm not saying that I agree with the ban because
- 37:07Speaker 1: I actually don't, although I do think it's interesting to
- 37:10Speaker 1: go down the road of doing it. and watch what occurs,
- 37:14Speaker 1: watch who stands with CNN, MSNOW, in solidarity, including Fox News,
- 37:19Speaker 1: partly because to some of us that might be outing
- 37:22Speaker 1: them as still being more on the left than they
- 37:25Speaker 1: claim to be or being more willing to play nice
- 37:28Speaker 1: with a side of the aisle that we would like
- 37:30Speaker 1: less people in positions from a media standpoint to do.
- 37:35Speaker 1: We want the media constantly criticizing the crap that comes
- 37:38Speaker 1: out of those places.
- 37:40Speaker 2: The disingenuous way in which they call.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Themselves news and then wholeheartedly lean unapologetically to one side
- 37:47Speaker 1: and crap all over Trump.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I mean, I did the stat with Wayne earlier this week.
- 37:52Speaker 1: It's 90 percent, 93 percent of the coverage from the
- 37:56Speaker 1: organizations that were banned by Trump that cover him negatively.
- 38:00Speaker 1: They barely say anything positive about him. And this is
- 38:03Speaker 1: at a time, again, to kind of bring this full circle.
- 38:06Speaker 1: When you watch Trump act presidential by being nicer publicly.
- 38:10Speaker 2: To Xi Jinping than I might want him to be, being.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Nicer publicly to Zoran Mamdami than I might want him
- 38:16Speaker 1: to be, because, again, behind the scenes, he might be
- 38:19Speaker 1: doing something else. Those are the behaviors, as Scott Jennings
- 38:23Speaker 1: pointed out in audio I played yesterday, that that the
- 38:25Speaker 1: left claims they want. They claim all the time, like,
- 38:28Speaker 1: I need this. This is what I want to see done.
- 38:31Speaker 1: This is how I want Trump to behave.
- 38:32Speaker 2: He does it. They refuse to cover.
- 38:34Speaker 1: It because they don't want to demonstrate to the people
- 38:37Speaker 1: that are brainwashed by them, that he's not the evil,
- 38:40Speaker 1: terrible person every second of every day that they claim
- 38:43Speaker 1: him to be, and that the people who voted for
- 38:45Speaker 1: him actually see these moments where he's not that way.
- 38:48Speaker 1: But I find the entire fight and the discussion about
- 38:51Speaker 1: all of this sort of fascinating, because every so often, look,
- 38:54Speaker 1: I'll say this, and I know we've got to take
- 38:56Speaker 1: another break. I have a few buddies that I think
- 38:59Speaker 1: fully worship at the altar of President Trump, meaning they
- 39:03Speaker 1: think he does no wrong. One of my friends has
- 39:06Speaker 1: several times sort of convincingly said he'd take a bullet
- 39:09Speaker 1: for the president because of how important he believes President
- 39:12Speaker 1: Trump is to doing good things in our world, upending
- 39:17Speaker 1: the system of broken and corrupt things that happen every
- 39:21Speaker 1: day in D.C. But as they say this to me,
- 39:24Speaker 1: I occasionally push back because I don't dislike the president
- 39:27Speaker 1: at all.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I'm not the type of fanboy that.
- 39:30Speaker 1: would go to that level, though, regardless of what people
- 39:32Speaker 1: who listen to the show might think.
- 39:34Speaker 2: I don't really care.
- 39:35Speaker 1: But I do understand that sometimes you do something publicly
- 39:40Speaker 1: that is kind of a game and you're really just
- 39:42Speaker 1: seeing who does what, who reacts to you and how.
- 39:46Speaker 2: And my friends would tell.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Me all of this banning of CNN, MSNOW and Politico
- 39:51Speaker 1: is an intentional game. It's a it's an op that
- 39:55Speaker 1: we see what everyone else does and we know who
- 39:57Speaker 1: my friends are and who my enemies are. It's a
- 39:59Speaker 1: test and it might not last long term. All of
- 40:02Speaker 1: those organizations might be back in you know, press briefings
- 40:06Speaker 1: in the very near future, whether they go through court
- 40:08Speaker 1: or not to do it. But in the meantime, some
- 40:11Speaker 1: pieces will fall in certain ways and you'll be able
- 40:14Speaker 1: to analyze them. That might be all this is, to
- 40:17Speaker 1: be honest. That's at least what people in certain corners
- 40:20Speaker 1: of the conservative side of the aisle are saying. And
- 40:22Speaker 1: I can't entirely reject that opinion or that thought. All right,
- 40:26Speaker 1: we'll take another break. After the break, we'll come back
- 40:28Speaker 1: and we'll do some lighter stuff because darn it, at
- 40:31Speaker 1: the end of each hour, I think we're going to
- 40:32Speaker 1: enjoy doing some lighter things.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Now, you can call in.
- 40:36Speaker 1: You can be a part of the show if you
- 40:39Speaker 1: want to be. That's totally fine with me. I don't
- 40:42Speaker 1: throw the phone number out a lot, but I don't
- 40:45Speaker 1: mind people contributing that way, too.
- 40:47Speaker 2: So 281-558-5738, 281-558-5738. KSEV Mornings, the Mob Guys on The
- 40:49Speaker 2: Voice of Texas.
- 41:01Speaker 20: Every time I try to leave it behind me, I
- 41:06Speaker 20: see something that reminds me of.
- 41:09Speaker 11: What do we really know about James Tallarico? Tallarico said.
- 41:13Speaker 17: Defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.
- 41:17Speaker 11: Tallarico supported using taxpayer dollars for sex change surgeries on
- 41:21Speaker 11: young children. Claimed denying your child's gender identity is abusive.
- 41:26Speaker 11: Said the trans community needs abortion care too. and even
- 41:29Speaker 11: called Jesus a radical feminist and said God is non-binary.
- 41:34Speaker 17: Defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.
- 41:37Speaker 3: But it gets worse.
- 41:39Speaker 11: James Tallarico voted to allow biological men access to women's
- 41:43Speaker 11: bathrooms in schools and for biological boys to play in
- 41:46Speaker 11: girls' sports, saying some things are more important than fair
- 41:50Speaker 11: competition in sports.
- 41:52Speaker 17: Defending trans Texas is something we have to do every day.
- 41:56Speaker 11: Radical liberal James Tallarico. For they, them, not you. Texas

- 42:40Speaker 2: Hi, this is Michael Miller.
- 42:42Speaker 6: Join me this weekend for the Backyard Bay radio program.
- 42:46Speaker 6: Now at our new time, Saturday mornings at 9 a.m.
- 42:50Speaker 18: Right here on AM 700 KSEV The Voice.
- 43:08Speaker 2: KSEV Radio.
- 43:10Speaker 1: This is the Mob Guys on your morning show on KSEV,
- 43:14Speaker 1: The Voice of Texas. Thrilled to be with you on
- 43:17Speaker 1: 700 AM. Lots and lots of things to talk about.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I did like this. There was a viral post on
- 43:23Speaker 1: social media, on Reddit, the eight things that are wildly
- 43:26Speaker 1: overrated that people agree.
- 43:29Speaker 2: We say we think they're good. They sound good. You
- 43:31Speaker 2: experiencing that you experience them. Not as good as you thought.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Number one is business travel. We will be traveling for
- 43:39Speaker 1: the show tomorrow.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Not all that far.
- 43:41Speaker 1: We're going a few hours in a car to Austin
- 43:44Speaker 1: for the Texas Faith Fest.
- 43:46Speaker 2: But I love that people say that it's not as
- 43:48Speaker 2: amazing as you think it is.
- 43:50Speaker 1: And the actual description from the Reddit post is everybody
- 43:53Speaker 1: thinks that like free business travel is the most incredible
- 43:56Speaker 1: thing ever.
- 43:57Speaker 2: But it's not. It's a lot of long hours.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Even if you go to a cool place where you're
- 44:01Speaker 1: not really doing anything but working, you're just working in
- 44:05Speaker 1: a different spot and you're not getting the opportunity to
- 44:08Speaker 1: like go explore the place you're in. It's the polar
- 44:11Speaker 1: opposite of a vacation. So I do agree with that,
- 44:14Speaker 1: that business travel isn't as great as.
- 44:16Speaker 2: You think it is. It's not bad.
- 44:17Speaker 1: And I think from the standpoint of getting to what
- 44:21Speaker 1: we do, go other places and be seen other places
- 44:23Speaker 1: is actually good. fairly valuable and good for us. But nonetheless,
- 44:27Speaker 1: like it's not the magic thing everyone thinks. Number two,
- 44:30Speaker 1: living in Florida. I came up on the list of
- 44:33Speaker 1: things that people think are great that aren't. I think
- 44:36Speaker 1: that's crap. And I think that's politically motivated for people
- 44:39Speaker 1: to say it because Florida is nice.
- 44:41Speaker 2: A lot of great weather.
- 44:43Speaker 1: It's not as great weather-wise as California. So I will
- 44:46Speaker 1: admit that even though California is horrible politically, that if
- 44:49Speaker 1: I had to pick the climate of one over the other,
- 44:51Speaker 1: I would pick California 10 out of 10 times.
- 44:55Speaker 2: But both are pretty good.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Number three, being a chef. People said that's wildly overrated.
- 45:00Speaker 1: And I thought that was interesting. And I've known a couple.
- 45:03Speaker 2: People professionally who were pretty good at their job. And
- 45:07Speaker 2: they hated to cook at home.
- 45:09Speaker 1: The biggest reason I think that sucks is that even
- 45:11Speaker 1: if you're a really great cook, like in college, we
- 45:14Speaker 1: had I had a group of friends who one of
- 45:16Speaker 1: the roommates was not actually going to school. They knew
- 45:19Speaker 1: him from high school and he had just gone on
- 45:21Speaker 1: to a culinary career and he was a pretty fancy
- 45:24Speaker 1: chef at a nice restaurant in Chicago. And all the time,
- 45:28Speaker 1: whenever we'd hang out with that group of guys in
- 45:30Speaker 1: their apartment, we'd beg that one.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Dude to cook for us.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Like, everyone was like, dude, you should cook something, man.
- 45:35Speaker 1: We're going to throw this party here and you should
- 45:37Speaker 1: make stuff. And he refused constantly. He's like, that's my job.
- 45:41Speaker 1: None of you are paying me. I'm not doing that
- 45:43Speaker 1: for you guys. Because he also hated it. So I
- 45:45Speaker 1: get why that one sucks. Making movies for a living,
- 45:49Speaker 1: people say, is awful. The hauling around gear and everything
- 45:52Speaker 1: is brutal. Being some form of an artist sucks. is
- 45:56Speaker 1: something that people also said is way overrated, which I
- 45:58Speaker 1: thought was interesting. And then number eight on this list,
- 46:02Speaker 1: I'll skip a couple, is driving a sports car. And
- 46:05Speaker 1: that's just wrong. Every part of that is not true.
- 46:08Speaker 1: It is as amazing as you think it is. Actually,
- 46:12Speaker 1: I remember on a business trip, I got upgraded to
- 46:15Speaker 1: a really nice V8 Mustang kind of thing, like the
- 46:20Speaker 1: newest version of a Mustang a couple of years ago.
- 46:22Speaker 2: And that was a bunch of fun. No part of
- 46:26Speaker 2: that was bad.
- 46:26Speaker 1: I'm sure, to be honest, that if the organization that
- 46:30Speaker 1: had hired me to do that trip was aware of
- 46:33Speaker 1: how I drove that Mustang, they would have made me
- 46:35Speaker 1: return it.
- 46:36Speaker 2: But nothing bad happened. Everything was fine. But people are wrong.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Who say the sports car is overrated, hard suspension, uncomfortable seats,
- 46:44Speaker 1: no space to put anything. But your heart is happy.
- 46:47Speaker 1: But I'm also a guy who used to own a motorcycle.
- 46:49Speaker 1: So that's part of the reason probably that that's as
- 46:51Speaker 1: fun for me. But I do like that, that people
- 46:53Speaker 1: threw out their list of overrated stuff, and a lot
- 46:57Speaker 1: of it is crazy. Also, Gen Z is asking millennials
- 47:00Speaker 1: to stop ending every text in LOL.
- 47:04Speaker 2: I have no idea how this lands with other generations.
- 47:08Speaker 1: I'm assuming Gen X and baby boomers don't give a
- 47:11Speaker 1: crap about this at all. But I will tell you,
- 47:13Speaker 1: as a millennial, I do send LOL a lot. because
- 47:17Speaker 1: I'm used to it from, I think, the original versions
- 47:21Speaker 1: of chatting online, the AOL dial-up version of talking to people.
- 47:25Speaker 1: And this was the best way to represent when you laugh.
- 47:27Speaker 1: So I send it a lot. Apparently, Gen Z is
- 47:30Speaker 1: getting mad at millennials for sending that.
- 47:33Speaker 2: And I think that's also dumb. I don't know.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Although you probably have somebody you know who does. I'll
- 47:39Speaker 1: admit something else on the radio. I'll shift it a
- 47:41Speaker 1: little bit. I am unique, I think, in my group
- 47:45Speaker 1: of friends. And I piss my friends off a lot
- 47:47Speaker 1: by accident when I do this in our group chats
- 47:50Speaker 1: or whatever we have, because I like to send every
- 47:53Speaker 1: thought as its own individual text. I probably do this
- 47:57Speaker 1: with email, too. I'll send like two or three emails
- 48:00Speaker 1: when I could have waited and sent one. But I
- 48:02Speaker 1: when I think of something, I like communicating it as
- 48:05Speaker 1: if I were having a conversation, as if you and
- 48:08Speaker 1: I were talking and not doing something in the form
- 48:11Speaker 1: of of other media other than talking. So my friends
- 48:14Speaker 1: complain all the time that I'm the guy who will
- 48:16Speaker 1: make their phone buzz three times instead of once in
- 48:19Speaker 1: the group chat. And I can't help it. It's the
- 48:22Speaker 1: way that I like to think. Individual thoughts feel like
- 48:25Speaker 1: they should be sent individually. And yes, that is so
- 48:28Speaker 1: wrong in the world of digital media. I wonder if
- 48:30Speaker 1: anybody out there also does that. I wonder if I'm
- 48:33Speaker 1: alone or if someone else would admit that they also
- 48:36Speaker 1: send a lot of messages when they probably should be
- 48:39Speaker 1: sending only one or two.
- 48:40Speaker 2: I can go to the phones. I see that we
- 48:41Speaker 2: got a call that came in.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Not about the silly stuff I'm talking about, but it's
- 48:45Speaker 1: about something more serious.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Sharon, what do you want to say about Harris County?
- 48:51Speaker 23: Hi, Craig. I'd like to say that I was born
- 48:56Speaker 23: here in Harris County. I've grown up in Harris County.
- 49:00Speaker 23: I've watched all the changes. I'm in the baby boomer generation.
- 49:04Speaker 23: And I am very concerned about county judge. And growing
- 49:11Speaker 23: up in years past, I just never paid any attention
- 49:14Speaker 23: to county judge because it was run pretty smoothly by
- 49:19Speaker 23: mostly Republicans. And now, in the last almost a decade now,
- 49:25Speaker 23: ever since we got Lena Hidalgo as County Judge, and
- 49:29Speaker 23: she came in as a big surprise because nobody knew
- 49:33Speaker 23: who she was, including the Democrat Party. She was just
- 49:36Speaker 23: kind of slipped in. Before, that was back when in
- 49:41Speaker 23: the voting, in the elections, it was sort of a
- 49:46Speaker 23: mix-up with Republicans and Democrats. You could vote either way.
- 49:49Speaker 9: Sure.
- 49:50Speaker 23: And she got flipped in. So anyway, since then, I've
- 49:54Speaker 23: been paying more attention. And I admit, I've been very
- 49:58Speaker 23: ignorant about what county judge does, but it's a very
- 50:01Speaker 23: important thing.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Oh, it's tremendously important to the money.
- 50:04Speaker 2: Here, let me let me jump in for just a second. Sharon, Sharon,
- 50:07Speaker 2: give me just one second.
- 50:08Speaker 1: The county judge is tremendously important to how we spend
- 50:12Speaker 1: our money in Harris County. Like the the control they
- 50:15Speaker 1: have financially of Harris County is ridiculous.
- 50:18Speaker 2: But continue. Go ahead.
- 50:20Speaker 19: Oh, OK.
- 50:21Speaker 23: One of the things I learned from Orlando was that
- 50:24Speaker 23: there's 254 counties in Texas and it's the job of
- 50:29Speaker 23: the county judge in each county. to uphold the laws
- 50:34Speaker 23: of the state of Texas.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Also correct, yes.
- 50:36Speaker 23: And that is not being done here in Harris County.
- 50:39Speaker 4: Not at all.
- 50:39Speaker 23: Under Democrat control. And so I'm very concerned about this election.
- 50:44Speaker 2: And the most important thing, too.
- 50:46Speaker 11: Thank you, Sharon.
- 50:48Speaker 7: Yep, I know.
- 50:48Speaker 2: I appreciate it. Thank you very much.
- 50:49Speaker 1: The most important thing to say, too, in relation to
- 50:53Speaker 1: how this affects people as far as the midterm election goes,
- 50:57Speaker 1: Plummer would be even worse. A lot of people are
- 51:01Speaker 1: willing to admit that Letitia Plummer has a horrible background,
- 51:05Speaker 1: Letitia Plummer. And it's the kind of thing that demonstrates
- 51:10Speaker 1: how Democrats are willing to just go even deeper down
- 51:13Speaker 1: the rabbit hole of terrible than Lena Hidalgo. And that
- 51:16Speaker 1: some of the stuff that Plummer is claiming she'd do
- 51:19Speaker 1: is so obviously different than what she'd actually do if
- 51:21Speaker 1: she gets that job. So I think the most important
- 51:24Speaker 1: thing to me when we have discussions like this isn't
- 51:27Speaker 1: just to reflect on the terribleness of the last several years.
- 51:31Speaker 1: because luckily Lena's not trying to get reelected. But it's
- 51:35Speaker 1: also to demonstrate what would happen next. And Orlando Sanchez
- 51:39Speaker 1: is an incredible candidate as far as even, I think, honestly,
- 51:43Speaker 1: to the people who were worried that someone maybe more
- 51:47Speaker 1: radical on the right would go too far. Like Orlando
- 51:49Speaker 1: is going to do the exact amount of things that
- 51:52Speaker 1: I think most of us on the conservative side want done.
- 51:55Speaker 1: I've heard the speeches and the, you know, the.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Interactions he has with people.
- 52:00Speaker 1: And I can just tell immediately, plus he's a veteran,
- 52:03Speaker 1: which I happen to usually like and vote for people
- 52:06Speaker 1: who are. But but nonetheless, like Orlando Sanchez to me
- 52:09Speaker 1: demonstrates a common sense understanding of what can be done
- 52:12Speaker 1: from the county judge position, what should be done from
- 52:15Speaker 1: the county judge position. So he's not going to blow
- 52:19Speaker 1: the doors off in a negative way to people who'd
- 52:22Speaker 1: want to like anti vote for him. But he's absolutely
- 52:25Speaker 1: going to do a lot of the things that we
- 52:27Speaker 1: are not doing that we should be doing that people
- 52:30Speaker 1: on the left are pretending they they like that they
- 52:33Speaker 1: hide the bad, corrupt, terrible stuff. And as Sharon points out,
- 52:37Speaker 1: also the refusing to just enforce the law. It's amazing
- 52:41Speaker 1: to think about the two candidates and how much deeper
- 52:44Speaker 1: we'd go in the crazy side versus how rational we
- 52:47Speaker 1: could go.
- 52:48Speaker 2: And some people think that Orlando might not win this thing.
- 52:50Speaker 2: He should. A quick break. A lot more KSEV, The
- 52:53Speaker 2: Voice of Texas.
