The Hives on Youth, Maturity, & The Hottest Show They’ve Ever Played
The Hives join Kyle Meredith to talk about The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons, their first album in 11 years. Howlin' Pelle Almqvist and Nicholaus Arson tell us about how depressing it was to not have any new material, how this LP might speak to their 30th anniversary, and the desire to keep creating music that felt like youth more than maturity. The Swedish rockers also give us the stories behind “Bogus Operandi” and “The Bomb,” playing a 110-degree show in Italy and getting a major compliment from The Drums.
