- 0:09Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites, presented by Draft Kings. The crown
- 0:13Speaker 1: is yours. I'm your host, Brandon Kravitz, joined by the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Queen of the Pod, Miss Kendrim Middleton, and the Prime
- 0:18Speaker 1: Minister of Degen Nation, Stucky. Your Faves Trio is back
- 0:23Speaker 1: to wrap up the week NFL Draft less than twenty
- 0:26Speaker 1: days away. We're gonna plant our flag on some of
- 0:28Speaker 1: the top prospects in this year's draft.
- 0:31Speaker 2: But oh my lord, what a story.
- 0:35Speaker 1: That has taken over the NFL world that has nothing
- 0:38Speaker 1: to do with the football field. Diana Rossini, formerly of ESPN,
- 0:43Speaker 1: now with the Athletic very credible reporter. At least she
- 0:47Speaker 1: was romantically involved, as it would appear, allegedly with Mike Rabel,
- 0:53Speaker 1: the head coach of the New England Patriots. Photos have
- 0:56Speaker 1: surfaced and the commentary has been outright outrageous. Kendra, I
- 1:02Speaker 1: have been so curious on so many different levels to
- 1:07Speaker 1: get your thoughts on this story. First of all, because
- 1:09Speaker 1: of the market where you spend most of your time,
- 1:12Speaker 1: which is Boston, as a woman in media and sports broadcasting,
- 1:20Speaker 1: and just because you generally have unique opinions no matter
- 1:24Speaker 1: the situation. But I have a lot of questions, but
- 1:27Speaker 1: I just want to start with your general read on this.
- 1:31Speaker 2: As as this story.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Is developing, I feel like I'm getting asked to make
- 1:35Speaker 3: a statement in court right now. The first thing I
- 1:38Speaker 3: would say is you said that she's no longer credible.
- 1:40Speaker 3: I would say, maybe she is the most credible source.
- 1:44Speaker 3: To be honest, Like, how much more credible can you
- 1:48Speaker 3: be here?
- 1:49Speaker 2: I guess I have more? So that's not a bad point.
- 1:53Speaker 1: You can't go back to her log about anything involving
- 1:57Speaker 1: the Patriots are interested in aj bram In sure, yeah,
- 2:01Speaker 1: all of that and say that it probably has even
- 2:04Speaker 1: a higher layer of truth to it.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I more so mean.
- 2:08Speaker 4: I know what you mean.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Moving forward, Yes.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Whatever sources she had around the league, those are about
- 2:14Speaker 1: to dry up.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Oh oh the hell is giving her information after this? Well?
- 2:18Speaker 4: Other than Mike, you know, I'm gonna say this.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Men have two heads, and often they do not think
- 2:24Speaker 3: with the right one.
- 2:25Speaker 4: So I would not say that it is completely over.
- 2:29Speaker 3: However, as far as the vibe up here, and I
- 2:31Speaker 3: will address the uh other situation, the female aspect of
- 2:36Speaker 3: it in a second. Pretty much all of the Patriots
- 2:39Speaker 3: media has been silent, and I have been very openly
- 2:43Speaker 3: critical of the Patriots, so I'm not worried about ever
- 2:45Speaker 3: needing to be hired by them again. So I can
- 2:47Speaker 3: keep it honest, Every single beat reporter, everybody involved with
- 2:50Speaker 3: the Patriots has not said a word, which makes me
- 2:52Speaker 3: believe one of two things, maybe three things. One, considering
- 2:57Speaker 3: that a lot of these people's jobs is journalism, I
- 3:00Speaker 3: feel like usually this is something that people would have
- 3:03Speaker 3: to comment on, and I think that the Patriots are
- 3:05Speaker 3: either bullying them not to or they knew about the
- 3:08Speaker 3: situation and just can or wouldn't say anything. But I
- 3:12Speaker 3: think the craziest thing about all of this is her
- 3:13Speaker 3: statement that it's really normal for journalists to have relationships
- 3:17Speaker 3: with coaches like this outside of events and facilities and
- 3:20Speaker 3: those types of things. I haven't been in this industry
- 3:23Speaker 3: as long as other people have been in this industry
- 3:25Speaker 3: for eleven years, and never once in my life have
- 3:27Speaker 3: I ever heard of or thought to consider that a
- 3:30Speaker 3: journalist would meet a coach anywhere outside of maybe a
- 3:33Speaker 3: coffee shop or a steak dinner. I'm sorry, you're not
- 3:36Speaker 3: meeting someone at a romantic resort, and for that reason,
- 3:39Speaker 3: Bunglo for two, to be specific, correct and for that reason,
- 3:43Speaker 3: I think, unfortunately that situations like this and Joy Taylor
- 3:47Speaker 3: and you can Lump, I'm sure a few other people
- 3:49Speaker 3: in there over the years tend to set women back
- 3:52Speaker 3: over time. And it just continues to feed the narrative
- 3:55Speaker 3: that the masses of and sell men on the internet
- 3:57Speaker 3: have that there's no.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Possible way that you could ever have a.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Job without sleeping with someone or without being hot, and
- 4:04Speaker 3: it kind of just just credits a lot of the
- 4:06Speaker 3: hard work and integrity of a lot of women in
- 4:08Speaker 3: the industry. And unfortunately, I do think that this sets
- 4:11Speaker 3: women back quite a bit. Not I think the Joy
- 4:14Speaker 3: Taylor of situations wasn't as massive, but it's just the
- 4:18Speaker 3: influx of everything online right now about what she's been
- 4:21Speaker 3: saying about her husband and her marriage and the jokes
- 4:24Speaker 3: she's been making about partying in Miami and all of
- 4:27Speaker 3: those things, and I just it really is I can't
- 4:31Speaker 3: think of a better word other than disgusting. How this
- 4:36Speaker 3: is going to be moving forward for women in this
- 4:38Speaker 3: industry for at least the next couple of years.
- 4:41Speaker 4: And it's just it hurts. And I said that.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Online and got a lot of insul men in my
- 4:46Speaker 3: comments and I deleted my tweet, not because I didn't
- 4:48Speaker 3: want to say it with my chest. I'm fully saying
- 4:50Speaker 3: with my chest right here. It's just I don't feel
- 4:51Speaker 3: like dealing with the comments.
- 4:53Speaker 2: So a very little nuance on Twitter.
- 4:56Speaker 1: So it is a That's the beauty of having a podcast,
- 5:00Speaker 1: having a platform like this is you can actually have
- 5:02Speaker 1: discussion about these things.
- 5:05Speaker 3: And I don't mind like the you know, nuance of
- 5:07Speaker 3: it all. But like, to be honest, both of you
- 5:09Speaker 3: are married. If you were photographed like this with your wife,
- 5:14Speaker 3: there's no other way to take it or for it
- 5:16Speaker 3: to be interpreted. And to be honest, if I was
- 5:19Speaker 3: married to someone doing.
- 5:20Speaker 4: This, you would probably. I said this to Kravitz over
- 5:22Speaker 4: text in a group chat. I was like, you would
- 5:24Speaker 4: never find.
- 5:25Speaker 3: My husband's body in a million years, and even if
- 5:28Speaker 3: for some reason you did find the evidence, I would
- 5:30Speaker 3: smile in my mugshot.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that much of the same would happen at the
- 5:35Speaker 1: Kravitz household. So we're going to keep a kosher over here,
- 5:37Speaker 1: stuck you, let's here read on this situation.
- 5:40Speaker 6: That says the guy with all the mistresses.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Those are bracket mistresses, Those are not female mistresses.
- 5:47Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't think that like she shouldn't have to,
- 5:50Speaker 7: like she shouldn't have to have the responsibility of, you know,
- 5:56Speaker 7: holding the weight of all women journalists. But it'll certainly
- 5:59Speaker 7: have a negati of impact. As Kendrick said, And I
- 6:03Speaker 7: mean my first thought, there's look like a cheating happens
- 6:08Speaker 7: in marriages. I think, think what the staystics say, like
- 6:11Speaker 7: twenty to twenty five percent of marriages there's infidelity. I
- 6:14Speaker 7: came from a household where there was cheating and it
- 6:18Speaker 7: was painful. I can't imagine. My first thought always goes
- 6:21Speaker 7: to the significant other, the kids.
- 6:25Speaker 6: I don't think her kids are of age where like
- 6:29Speaker 6: you're super young, Yeah you.
- 6:30Speaker 7: Would see stuff, but still the internet is forever, So
- 6:34Speaker 7: I always feel bad for the in these like super
- 6:36Speaker 7: viral public affairs where like everyone just piles on on
- 6:43Speaker 7: the internet.
- 6:44Speaker 6: You got to feel just terrible for.
- 6:47Speaker 7: The especially like the husband or wife of the other
- 6:50Speaker 7: person and the kids, and like it's it's got to
- 6:54Speaker 7: be super embarrassing. You probably just can't even go on
- 6:58Speaker 7: the internet.
- 7:00Speaker 4: So it's been tweet oatter stories this morning.
- 7:02Speaker 2: That's where my it is crazy, Like she isn't slowed
- 7:05Speaker 2: down at all.
- 7:06Speaker 7: That's where my first thought goes. But yeah, definitely not
- 7:10Speaker 7: a good look for a journalist. But yeah, it's that's life.
- 7:14Speaker 7: People mess up.
- 7:17Speaker 4: I almost even wonder like.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Does this I mean, here's the thing in these situations.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Seldomly is the woman ever keeping her job.
- 7:27Speaker 3: It's usually the woman gets fired and the man and
- 7:29Speaker 3: keeps his job because the man's usually the one in
- 7:31Speaker 3: a place of power. I don't think either of them
- 7:32Speaker 3: are going to lose their job. However, do you think
- 7:35Speaker 3: that this changes kind of the Craft's opinion of Rabel
- 7:39Speaker 3: because there has been rumors allegedly that this was going
- 7:42Speaker 3: on in Tennessee as.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Well, But just the fact that.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Loose lips sank ships and he very clearly was having
- 7:48Speaker 3: loose lips in many places.
- 7:51Speaker 6: You talk about Robert Kraft, but like that's.
- 7:55Speaker 3: The thing is that, like, yes, integrity, Yes we can joke, well,
- 8:00Speaker 3: you know Craft's situation, but something very important to him
- 8:05Speaker 3: is keeping the secrets of the team and of the organization.
- 8:07Speaker 4: So regardless of if you want to make hand.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Job jokes or not, it's it's still there are secrets
- 8:13Speaker 3: within organizations like this that were clearly potentially leaked.
- 8:20Speaker 1: So you would know this better than we would. Are
- 8:23Speaker 1: there stories that have now been dug back up? Or
- 8:26Speaker 1: she had way too much information about the Patriots? Yes,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and yeah, the answer would be yes, that he would have.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You would that Robert Craft would have an issue with.
- 8:35Speaker 3: That, and there's been a lot of stuff that makes
- 8:38Speaker 3: it seem like this has been going on for years.
- 8:42Speaker 6: I was, they'll cross that bridge if variable stops winning.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Yeah, right, kind of what it comes down to.
- 8:48Speaker 1: It's a good point by Stocky. I mean they were
- 8:50Speaker 1: in the Super Bowl. I think if they had won
- 8:52Speaker 1: four games last year, then you could use that as
- 8:54Speaker 1: a fireball offense. But not not having the success that
- 8:57Speaker 1: he did, and not anything that outside uh nothing from
- 9:02Speaker 1: my view who covers the league at a more wide scope,
- 9:07Speaker 1: I haven't seen anything that's damning that would take down
- 9:11Speaker 1: his job. As far as information that's leaked out. It's
- 9:14Speaker 1: different when you're you're in the you're in the area
- 9:16Speaker 1: in the northeast where you look. You guys are looking
- 9:19Speaker 1: at everything through a microscope. I think about the double
- 9:23Speaker 1: standard as far as the way that we view these
- 9:27Speaker 1: two jobs. You talk about the the lens perhaps being
- 9:31Speaker 1: put on Mike Vrabel. There's nothing that about what happened
- 9:36Speaker 1: that derails how you feel about Mike Rabel and his
- 9:40Speaker 1: ability to coach the New England Patriots. For Diana Rossini,
- 9:45Speaker 1: this directly impacts what she does for a living. So
- 9:50Speaker 1: I think that there's there's two double standards that are
- 9:52Speaker 1: going on right now. One of them is fair and
- 9:55Speaker 1: the job aspect, it's not okay to cheat, but it
- 9:59Speaker 1: doesn't impact Mike Vrabel as a coach that he is,
- 10:02Speaker 1: that he's performed some level of its Again, I don't.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Know, because he's been preaching to Stefan Diggs and Travion
- 10:08Speaker 3: Henderson recently and it's like he's he hasn't done.
- 10:13Speaker 4: It with like a holier than thou approach.
- 10:15Speaker 3: But he's been coming at especially like the Travon Henderson situation,
- 10:18Speaker 3: about wanting him to learn and become a better man.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I don't think he's gonna lose the locker room because
- 10:22Speaker 3: of this. But if I'm Travion, I'm sitting there and
- 10:24Speaker 3: I'm like.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Hmmm, you know.
- 10:27Speaker 1: But that's where the other double standard, the unfair double
- 10:30Speaker 1: standard comes in, is that when guys do this, it's
- 10:33Speaker 1: just sort of like shoulders when and this is the
- 10:38Speaker 1: disgusting part and where I feel for you, Kendra, and
- 10:42Speaker 1: women in general, especially those trying to make it and
- 10:45Speaker 1: support themselves in the media. If you go to the
- 10:48Speaker 1: comments on any single post, any post about this, it's
- 10:54Speaker 1: slut shaming Diana Rossini. Nobody says a word about Vrabel
- 11:00Speaker 1: and that's the double standard. That's unfair. But if you
- 11:02Speaker 1: talk about the job side of it, it's unfortunate. But
- 11:05Speaker 1: her job is directly impacted by her credibility is damaged
- 11:10Speaker 1: moving forward because of this story.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Your thoughts on that, I don't really I agree it
- 11:15Speaker 3: sucks because I still think in a way she was probably,
- 11:19Speaker 3: you know, the most reliable source, whether you like the
- 11:21Speaker 3: reason she was or wasn't. But the athletic has defended her,
- 11:26Speaker 3: and I think that that's a little strange.
- 11:28Speaker 4: I just don't see how you move forward.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Last thing on this stucky. I find it bizarre.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I don't know if you've laid off Twitter lately because
- 11:39Speaker 1: the NCAA tournament is over and it's a good break
- 11:42Speaker 1: of from technology for you should be smart. But the
- 11:46Speaker 1: amount of videos that have surfaced of her talking about
- 11:49Speaker 1: her relationship over the last several years, I think it
- 11:54Speaker 1: it is a damning example of where we are societally,
- 11:59Speaker 1: that this many this many videos have popped up, that
- 12:04Speaker 1: people are spending their time online looking up old videos
- 12:08Speaker 1: of Diana Rossini talking about her relationship on random podcasts.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Have you seen any of this pertrand is not a
- 12:15Speaker 3: random podcast?
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:17Speaker 1: Like what but like to be able to go I
- 12:20Speaker 1: don't know if you can do this through AI. That
- 12:22Speaker 1: is where I am technologically ignorant. Like if you could
- 12:26Speaker 1: just go type into chat GPT, show me a clip
- 12:30Speaker 1: of Diana Rassini talking about her relationship. The fact that
- 12:33Speaker 1: people are spending their time digging this stuff up, that
- 12:36Speaker 1: is loser behavior.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Have you seen any of this stucky a little?
- 12:40Speaker 6: I mean that's just Twitter. People are gonna always search
- 12:42Speaker 6: for the gotcha to go viral. Uh my thing.
- 12:46Speaker 7: I've seen like there's people get tricked by pictures.
- 12:50Speaker 6: And my thing when any of this stuff happens.
- 12:53Speaker 7: It's like I saw people going crazy yesterday on The Masters.
- 12:58Speaker 7: Someone tweeted out a picture of Jason Kelsey Burke, Pat
- 13:06Speaker 7: McBee jumping into the pond together and then people were
- 13:09Speaker 7: like going off on this AI image. I just can't
- 13:13Speaker 7: what is this stuff going to look like in five years?
- 13:15Speaker 7: I still get tricked every once in a while, and
- 13:17Speaker 7: I'm like very cautious.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Uh.
- 13:19Speaker 6: And then now even like real things, I'm like, is
- 13:22Speaker 6: this is this? This is real? Right?
- 13:25Speaker 2: These pictures of the moon. I don't know what to believe.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I feel like one of those conspiracy theorists that that
- 13:31Speaker 1: doesn't believe he landed on the moon.
- 13:33Speaker 6: You know, I went down this. I went down a
- 13:35Speaker 6: rabbit hole.
- 13:37Speaker 7: Uh, yesterday for like a half hour on uh TikTok
- 13:43Speaker 7: of these of flat earthers, of people like just vehemently
- 13:49Speaker 7: arguing why the Earth is flat?
- 13:51Speaker 6: I was like, this is is this the thing?
- 13:53Speaker 7: Apologies to any flat Earth or watching, apologize to them.
- 13:57Speaker 3: But yeah, you guys think reerving listens to our podcast.
- 14:02Speaker 1: No, so, Kyrie, if you're listening, we'd love to have
- 14:05Speaker 1: you before the NFL season starts.
- 14:07Speaker 6: All right, let's get to let's uh do you need
- 14:09Speaker 6: my question?
- 14:10Speaker 2: Yes, hey, this is a dumb question. Let me ask
- 14:14Speaker 2: you a personal question kind of question? Is that this question?
- 14:19Speaker 6: All right?
- 14:19Speaker 7: So we're gonna talk about the draft, our favorite prospects
- 14:22Speaker 7: for the draft. Who is the person that you've been
- 14:26Speaker 7: It could be any sport that you've been most wrong about,
- 14:31Speaker 7: Like you were like it could be you thought they
- 14:33Speaker 7: were gonna be great, or you thought that they were
- 14:36Speaker 7: going to be a bust and they were great. I
- 14:39Speaker 7: have so many over the years, but there is a
- 14:42Speaker 7: wide receiver. No one will really remember this, but there
- 14:45Speaker 7: was a wide receiver for Arkansas State, Jonathan Adams.
- 14:49Speaker 2: This was.
- 14:52Speaker 7: I don't know, I want to say, like four years ago. Yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 7: I mean he played. He played Arkansas State probably like
- 14:58Speaker 7: eighteen nineteen twenty for the basketball team. He had they
- 15:02Speaker 7: upset Arkansas State, upset Kansas State when they were ranked,
- 15:05Speaker 7: and he had three touchdowns. I think he was the
- 15:07Speaker 7: BOLITNICKF finalist. I thought he was going to be something
- 15:09Speaker 7: in the NFL, and then he ran a four six
- 15:12Speaker 7: forty and then recently, I mean two years ago, he
- 15:16Speaker 7: was taken in like the fifteenth round of the UFL draft.
- 15:20Speaker 6: He never he's on.
- 15:21Speaker 7: He's on like he's allocated to the Louisville Kings in
- 15:24Speaker 7: the UFL, but he's on injury reserve.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Now.
- 15:26Speaker 7: I thought he was going to be something in the NFL,
- 15:29Speaker 7: but I have countless examples of that. I also thought
- 15:33Speaker 7: that the Chiefs reached for Mahomes.
- 15:36Speaker 6: I said that.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Live no, so that takes of anything any of us
- 15:41Speaker 2: could say.
- 15:42Speaker 7: I'm not afraid like I thought that they they when
- 15:45Speaker 7: they traded up, I was.
- 15:46Speaker 6: I disagreed with it. So I have so many of
- 15:49Speaker 6: those that's insane. But I have years.
- 15:52Speaker 4: I have two.
- 15:53Speaker 3: One is mainstream and one is Niche mainstream justin fields
- 15:58Speaker 3: Niche Luke jokel.
- 16:03Speaker 6: Yeah, did you have a hot take on him?
- 16:06Speaker 4: I was like, this kid's gonna rule. He just sucked.
- 16:12Speaker 6: Oh he got tressed by the Jacks, right.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Yep, yeah, second pick I am.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I have so many names running through my head right now.
- 16:20Speaker 1: One that comes to mind immediately for me is in
- 16:23Speaker 1: the baseball world. Do you guys remember the brief moment
- 16:27Speaker 1: when Yasiel Puigue with the Dodgers just took over the sport.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I thought that was gonna be it. I thought he
- 16:34Speaker 1: was going to be the biggest star in the history
- 16:39Speaker 1: of the game, just just.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Take over and it. I think it ended.
- 16:43Speaker 1: By the time I was done completing that take, his
- 16:46Speaker 1: career had flatlined right after that. I've definitely gotten a
- 16:50Speaker 1: few quarterbacks wrong. I was a big Blaine Gabbert guy,
- 16:53Speaker 1: speaking of your Jacksonville Jaguars. I liked him at college
- 16:57Speaker 1: and then I watched too much preseason and bought the
- 17:01Speaker 1: hype on Blaine Gabbert. And there's another one that is
- 17:06Speaker 1: coming to mind that I'm blanking on right now, but
- 17:10Speaker 1: so hard.
- 17:11Speaker 7: I'm convinced no one really knows, even the most in
- 17:14Speaker 7: tune NFL minds you just I.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Mean Kyle Pitts.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Most recently, I bought the you're just going to draft
- 17:21Speaker 1: a Hall of Fame tight end and who knows. I mean,
- 17:23Speaker 1: at this point he's kind of turning things around. It
- 17:25Speaker 1: still could become that, but we've had a lot of
- 17:27Speaker 1: flat years from him. If you remember the name, oh you,
- 17:31Speaker 1: Teal Green out of Miami was drafted by the Dolphins,
- 17:34Speaker 1: but one of the other ones, and I think he
- 17:37Speaker 1: wound up tearing his ACL before he even played, so
- 17:39Speaker 1: he busted because of injury. Peter Warck is my number
- 17:43Speaker 1: one example. That was the one that I was trying
- 17:44Speaker 1: to dig out of my brain. Peter Warick, Florida State,
- 17:47Speaker 1: late nineties. I thought he was going to come into
- 17:50Speaker 1: the league and be the best wide receiver.
- 17:52Speaker 2: I thought he was going to be.
- 17:53Speaker 1: If you think about what Jamar Chase is in real
- 17:56Speaker 1: life now, I thought that was going to be Peter Warck.
- 17:58Speaker 4: But that was when the bangal it's bad for me too.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Oh, key On called I think I called the key
- 18:04Speaker 1: on Coleman bust Calvin Benjamin though another Florida state wide.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I thought he was going to be good. Loved him
- 18:11Speaker 2: all right.
- 18:13Speaker 7: My last one is my namesake on Twitter, Rodney Stuckey,
- 18:16Speaker 7: who went like top fifteen in the Draft's that's why
- 18:19Speaker 7: I named my Twitter account after randomly in like two
- 18:21Speaker 7: thousand and seven when he.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Was at h that's a great poll. I didn't know
- 18:25Speaker 4: this about you.
- 18:26Speaker 6: He was at Eastern Washington.
- 18:30Speaker 7: And well, like it was originally on a forum name
- 18:33Speaker 7: and then I think I started Twitter like twenty ten,
- 18:35Speaker 7: twenty eleven, but that's how that's how my name started.
- 18:38Speaker 7: I just he won me a bunch of money at
- 18:40Speaker 7: Eastern Washington, and I loved him there.
- 18:43Speaker 6: I mean, he played for a while in the NBA,
- 18:47Speaker 6: but he was never a star.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Producer In the chat, David Payne says Josh Rose and
- 18:53Speaker 1: he thought Josh Rosen was going to be the best
- 18:55Speaker 1: quarterback in the draft class.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I thought that as well. That did not work out.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Still to come a flag plant on our favorite NFL
- 19:04Speaker 1: draft prospects.
- 19:04Speaker 2: But first a word about DraftKings.

- 19:38Speaker 4: If your bet wins, the crown is yours.
- 19:41Speaker 2: All right, let's get to it.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Let's talk about some of our favorite draft prospects in
- 19:45Speaker 1: this year's draft class. We're each going to go top
- 19:48Speaker 1: five presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. We're talking
- 19:52Speaker 1: players that you.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Are speaking of Stucky's question.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Overly confident and positive that they are going to be
- 19:59Speaker 1: impact players in the NFL. We'll go We'll just each
- 20:04Speaker 1: go one through five, and then and then we'll save
- 20:07Speaker 1: a little space for commentary on each of those five names. Kendra,
- 20:12Speaker 1: who are your five?
- 20:13Speaker 3: You guys went a little bit off the beaten path
- 20:16Speaker 3: and compared to me, and I'm not surprised, but I'm impressed.
- 20:19Speaker 3: My one of one's gonna be Jeremiah Love. I think
- 20:22Speaker 3: that he's just a plug and play a player at
- 20:24Speaker 3: a relatively plug and play position, super explosive, gets faster
- 20:28Speaker 3: after contact, and he can catch a pass and is
- 20:31Speaker 3: decent a pass pro. So I don't really see a
- 20:34Speaker 3: ton of downsides to his game, Like there's really no
- 20:37Speaker 3: negative critique for someone who's expected to surpass, you know,
- 20:41Speaker 3: kind of what Saquan was expected to do in the
- 20:43Speaker 3: draft d and Jean Robinson.
- 20:44Speaker 4: So I went a little safe with.
- 20:45Speaker 3: My one of one, but I think that no matter
- 20:47Speaker 3: I kind of approached it from the perspective of no
- 20:50Speaker 3: matter where these guys get drafted, I think they'll be okay.
- 20:54Speaker 4: That was kind of the way that I approached this list.
- 20:56Speaker 3: So I don't think that there's anybody that could draft
- 20:59Speaker 3: him where he could not shine.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Yeah, So I did end up deleting a couple of
- 21:05Speaker 1: names because you put yours in the dock first. So
- 21:08Speaker 1: that's one of the reasons why we've gone off the
- 21:10Speaker 1: beaten path. But yeah, it's Jeremiah Love a phenomenal.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Hillie Berg gets the worm.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Baby, there you go. There.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I think I did double up on a couple of
- 21:18Speaker 1: these just because I didn't want to erase everybody, But
- 21:21Speaker 1: go ahead and roll through the rest of your list.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I added sunny styles.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Obviously, he's positioned flexible.
- 21:28Speaker 3: And I think that that is kind of the biggest
- 21:29Speaker 3: part of his game. He does not miss tackles at all,
- 21:33Speaker 3: And the only kind of negative critique that I had
- 21:35Speaker 3: on him is that he needs to join me for
- 21:37Speaker 3: a yoga class at some point because his hips are
- 21:39Speaker 3: not the most flexible that I've ever seen. But if
- 21:41Speaker 3: that's the biggest downside that he has, I think that
- 21:44Speaker 3: he's probably going to be pretty decent no matter where
- 21:46Speaker 3: he gets drafted.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Number three for me was Makai Lemon.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Great route runner, fast, can get good separation, and his
- 21:52Speaker 3: ball tracking and grip strength is probably the best out
- 21:55Speaker 3: of a receiver in this class in my opinion. After
- 21:57Speaker 3: kind of going back and filtering through some of his tape,
- 22:00Speaker 3: another wide receiver that I added was Carnel Tait. I
- 22:02Speaker 3: think he's a safe choice for anybody that's going to
- 22:04Speaker 3: draft him.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Always a safe choice.
- 22:06Speaker 3: To draft any kind of wide receiver from Ohio State.
- 22:09Speaker 4: They obviously like, I.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Mean, look at Carret Wilson, Chris Olave, JSN, Marvin Harrison,
- 22:13Speaker 3: and I think he's the most polished kind of NFL ready.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Receiver in this draft.
- 22:17Speaker 3: And then last, but not least, you guys know that
- 22:19Speaker 3: I had to throw a tight end on here because
- 22:21Speaker 3: left tackles and tight ends are my favorite part about
- 22:24Speaker 3: the draft, but his combine kind of put him over
- 22:26Speaker 3: the edge for me, Keny and Sadik great after the catch.
- 22:29Speaker 3: My only concern is that he gets thrown into a
- 22:32Speaker 3: situation where he's going to be expected to carry a
- 22:34Speaker 3: huge load and pause. I don't think that that would
- 22:38Speaker 3: be the best thing for his early career. But if
- 22:41Speaker 3: he really is kind of the comp that he's getting,
- 22:46Speaker 3: I think I think he's going to be good no
- 22:47Speaker 3: matter where he goes. I just worry that he's going
- 22:48Speaker 3: to get thrown into a situation where he gets, you know,
- 22:52Speaker 3: a ton of need early. But if he really is
- 22:56Speaker 3: Evan Ingram, I think that that's great no matter where
- 22:59Speaker 3: you throw him.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I think he is one.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Of those guys that can be very His production is
- 23:05Speaker 1: going to be very dependent on where he ends up,
- 23:06Speaker 1: not so much with the quarterback but with the coaching
- 23:10Speaker 1: scheme that he lands in. But he's an explosive player,
- 23:12Speaker 1: ninety ninth percentile performer at the NFL combine and combine
- 23:17Speaker 1: was insane, and we can overrate the combine, and that
- 23:20Speaker 1: can be problematic. But when you marry that with already
- 23:22Speaker 1: being a top prospect at the position and then blowing
- 23:25Speaker 1: up the combine, it's just it's hard not to fall
- 23:27Speaker 1: in love with him as a prospect. Very intrigued to
- 23:30Speaker 1: see where he goes. Kansas City at nine would be
- 23:33Speaker 1: fascinating because them, I would throw up my remote.
- 23:38Speaker 4: I don't.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I'm not one of these people that gets pissed off
- 23:40Speaker 3: really easily when watching like sport to the draft or anything,
- 23:43Speaker 3: but I would probably throw my but dazzled remote through
- 23:46Speaker 3: my TV.
- 23:47Speaker 1: That'd be them drafting Travis Kelcey's direct replacement. I love
- 23:51Speaker 1: Carnel Tate as well. Stuck you before we get your
- 23:53Speaker 1: list your thought on. There's two names. Monsieur Delaine out
- 23:57Speaker 1: of LSU and Carnell Tate there if you know nothing
- 24:00Speaker 1: about these players and you just simply went into the
- 24:03Speaker 1: draft and said, I'm just gonna take the top Ohio
- 24:06Speaker 1: state wide receiver in the top dB out of LSU.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Do you think we end up overrating these players because
- 24:13Speaker 1: of where they come from or is that just simplistic
- 24:16Speaker 1: and accurate analysis to say that these players at these
- 24:20Speaker 1: positions have thrived from these programs.
- 24:25Speaker 7: No, I mean Ohio State it's a thing. I mean,
- 24:27Speaker 7: like their route running there. I mean it's just they're
- 24:30Speaker 7: almost can't miss ls. I mean, corners are a little tougher.
- 24:36Speaker 7: There's I've had some questions about the lane more so
- 24:40Speaker 7: than others might I don't think he's a slam dunk,
- 24:44Speaker 7: but I mean he's obviously one of the top corner
- 24:48Speaker 7: prospects in this draft. But that's a little trick here.
- 24:52Speaker 7: But I think the Ohio state wide receiver development and
- 24:58Speaker 7: I mean they're route running right from the is elite.
- 25:01Speaker 7: So that is I think something that you can anchor
- 25:04Speaker 7: on and be confident in.
- 25:07Speaker 2: What about you give us your five?
- 25:09Speaker 6: Well?
- 25:09Speaker 7: I went well, I went with like I could have
- 25:11Speaker 7: went the top, you know, the top I don't follow
- 25:13Speaker 7: the draft too closely, but I follow college football as
- 25:16Speaker 7: close as anyone, watch as much college football as anybody.
- 25:18Speaker 6: So I went, I don't know where I know.
- 25:21Speaker 7: These guys aren't projected to go like top twenty and
- 25:24Speaker 7: probably not first round, Like I haven't looked at any
- 25:27Speaker 7: mocks or anything like that yet. But these are guys
- 25:31Speaker 7: that I really liked that are probably day two, day
- 25:34Speaker 7: three guys. If I assume you can tell me if
- 25:37Speaker 7: I'm wrong that I think, you know.
- 25:41Speaker 6: Not that they might.
- 25:42Speaker 7: They're not going to be like a slam dunk, you know,
- 25:44Speaker 7: number one, number two pick in the draft, but I
- 25:46Speaker 7: think we'll find homes and be steady starters. So the
- 25:53Speaker 7: first one is trade and stukes. He's a very versatile
- 25:57Speaker 7: chess piece d back to Arizona. He's played he could
- 26:01Speaker 7: play safety, he can play nickel, he could play corner,
- 26:05Speaker 7: he play outside, he could play I mean, he could
- 26:07Speaker 7: play all over the place. He've ran a four three
- 26:09Speaker 7: three forty also six one one ninety thirty eight inch
- 26:13Speaker 7: bird like he has, and he's done it all at Arizona.
- 26:16Speaker 7: He can close, he can run with receivers, He's physical
- 26:21Speaker 7: enough in the run game, and those are the guys
- 26:24Speaker 7: that if you can find them with in today's NFL,
- 26:28Speaker 7: those versatile defenders in the secondary that allow you to
- 26:32Speaker 7: do so much. We saw that with Eman Warren with
- 26:35Speaker 7: in Seattle. That's the trend, and I think Stukes can
- 26:38Speaker 7: be one of those guys that's not necessarily being talked
- 26:41Speaker 7: about as a first rounder. So I think he could
- 26:44Speaker 7: be a steal in Day two or day three wherever
- 26:46Speaker 7: he's projected to go.
- 26:48Speaker 6: The more you're more.
- 26:53Speaker 7: Kind of standard normal corner is Chris Johnson. Not a
- 26:58Speaker 7: lot of people have probably seen him out of San
- 26:59Speaker 7: Diego s E. I don't think he necessarily has the
- 27:05Speaker 7: upside of a Quinnon Mitchell, who I loved coming out
- 27:08Speaker 7: of Toledo, and now Toledo is another d BAC is
- 27:10Speaker 7: gonna get drafted and Emmanuel McNeil Warren not necessarily the
- 27:15Speaker 7: same type of player, but Toledo as they developed their
- 27:18Speaker 7: defensive backs really well. But I think Chris Johnson, if
- 27:21Speaker 7: he can go to a place where he can press
- 27:24Speaker 7: press some, I mean everyone's gonna use man in zone.
- 27:27Speaker 7: But I think that he has great instincts, great cover skills,
- 27:31Speaker 7: and he was just elite all year for that San
- 27:33Speaker 7: Diego State defense. So that's one of the outside corners
- 27:36Speaker 7: that I think we'll find a role. Like he could
- 27:37Speaker 7: be an excellent number two corner in in you know,
- 27:43Speaker 7: two years, for a team that utilizes a higher rate
- 27:47Speaker 7: of man than.
- 27:49Speaker 6: Than your standard team.
- 27:52Speaker 7: One of the most there's a lot a lot of
- 27:54Speaker 7: the offensive tackles that are gonna get drafted.
- 27:59Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 28:00Speaker 7: I'm not as hot like I think that there's a
- 28:02Speaker 7: lot of bust potential in.
- 28:04Speaker 6: Many of them.
- 28:05Speaker 7: Like I'm not a Procter guy, I don't know where
- 28:07Speaker 7: he's Where's Caden Proctor projected to go?
- 28:10Speaker 4: Maybe top fIF I want to say, like fifteen through seventeen.
- 28:12Speaker 6: Maybe I think he's going to be a bust.
- 28:15Speaker 7: But I mean, obviously he has all the skills, but
- 28:19Speaker 7: in the trades. But one guy who I think could
- 28:22Speaker 7: end up being the best tackle in this class and
- 28:26Speaker 7: one of the best stories. I'll definitely be rooting for
- 28:28Speaker 7: him is Maxi Hennacher out of Arizona State. This kid,
- 28:34Speaker 7: Nigerian kid who came to the US, never played high
- 28:37Speaker 7: school football, went to East LA Community College and then
- 28:40Speaker 7: went to Arizona State. Got thrown into the fire. Like
- 28:43Speaker 7: they Arizona State had like ten offensive linemen. Get hurt
- 28:47Speaker 7: a couple of years ago, and he got thrown into
- 28:48Speaker 7: the fire and has only improved. I mean, this guy,
- 28:52Speaker 7: he has all of the trades. He's still a little
- 28:55Speaker 7: role but I mean he's just getting started in his
- 28:57Speaker 7: football career. He's got like an eighty three and a
- 29:00Speaker 7: half inch wingspan. I think he could be a very
- 29:05Speaker 7: very good starting tackle UH in the league for a
- 29:09Speaker 7: long time. And then I'll go, let's see, I'll stick
- 29:15Speaker 7: on the defensive side of the ball.
- 29:17Speaker 6: Zion young kid out of Missouri, who can.
- 29:21Speaker 7: I mean, he's super underrated. I mean he's dominant against
- 29:24Speaker 7: the run. I think he can turn into a really
- 29:26Speaker 7: good player. He's pretty versatile up front. Another guy Honorable
- 29:31Speaker 7: mentioned for it. Similar type. I would imagine they go
- 29:35Speaker 7: around the same.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Uh.
- 29:37Speaker 7: They're kind of like projected maybe day two, day three.
- 29:41Speaker 7: Gay Bacchus out of Illinois. He's just a football player.
- 29:44Speaker 7: He's gonna find a role. Just two time state champion wrestlers.
- 29:49Speaker 7: He just knows how to he just knows how to
- 29:51Speaker 7: play defense.
- 29:52Speaker 6: Tough kid.
- 29:53Speaker 7: I He'll find a role somewhere. And then two other
- 29:57Speaker 7: bigger guys Caleb Banks. He has some injury questions out
- 30:00Speaker 7: of Florida.
- 30:02Speaker 6: But that he can be like he has as long
- 30:08Speaker 6: as he can stay.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Healthy with a lot of injuries last year.
- 30:11Speaker 7: His foot the questions, but he's explosive, he can you
- 30:15Speaker 7: can play him it in a couple of different spots
- 30:17Speaker 7: along the defensive line. And then there's a honorable mention
- 30:20Speaker 7: to a guy who's my favorite. One of my favorite
- 30:21Speaker 7: nicknames is Dom Orange, the big Citrus out of Iowa State.
- 30:25Speaker 7: He's not really gonna wow anyone from a pass rushing perspective,
- 30:29Speaker 7: but like if you're looking for these guys are becoming
- 30:32Speaker 7: more and more important, these guys who can just clog
- 30:34Speaker 7: up the middle.
- 30:35Speaker 6: He will probably find a role on the right defense.
- 30:40Speaker 7: Uh as far as just like a guy is going
- 30:42Speaker 7: to take up bodies help against the run in the middle.
- 30:46Speaker 7: But yeah, those are my five kind of off the
- 30:49Speaker 7: radar guys that I'm confident will find a role and
- 30:53Speaker 7: be steady pros for years to come. In Stokes, Johnson,
- 30:57Speaker 7: uh Ichor and Zion Young and Caleb.
- 31:01Speaker 1: If I could have placed a bet on Stucky coming
- 31:03Speaker 1: to the table with five obscure names in college football,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I would have made serious cash.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe we should just start gambling on what the
- 31:11Speaker 3: other people on this show.
- 31:12Speaker 4: Are going to do.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I would be uh, I would be okay with.
- 31:15Speaker 6: The Kings prediction. We should gets.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Draft Kings prediction market. We'll get that going.
- 31:20Speaker 1: And I would have definitely I would have already won
- 31:23Speaker 1: off of Stucky's random list of names. And he's a
- 31:27Speaker 1: football player. I think that that is my favorite. That
- 31:31Speaker 1: is my favorite draft cliche, and I have that actually
- 31:35Speaker 1: written into my analysis here. So my my first name
- 31:39Speaker 1: is exactly that is Jacob Rodriguez out of Texas Tech.
- 31:44Speaker 1: If you watch draft coverage this year, exactly that phrase
- 31:48Speaker 1: will be used when talking about Jacob Rodriguez.
- 31:52Speaker 2: He's a football player. That this guy.
- 31:54Speaker 1: They used him all over the place at Texas Tech.
- 31:57Speaker 1: He was in the Heisman discussion because they even threw
- 31:59Speaker 1: a wildcat at times. Leader Captain day one, tough as nails.
- 32:04Speaker 1: He's not a trait se guy, but he's going to
- 32:06Speaker 1: be a starter for years. So he is tier one
- 32:10Speaker 1: on my list of guys that I have no question
- 32:13Speaker 1: about his ability to be successful in the NFL. Caleb
- 32:17Speaker 1: Downs is if we're looking for the nick Eman worry
- 32:21Speaker 1: of this year's draft, it's quite obvious who that is.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Didn't allow a touchdown for two years. I think you
- 32:27Speaker 1: can make a really good argument for him being the
- 32:29Speaker 1: best overall player in this year's draft class. There's a
- 32:35Speaker 1: really good chance that he's going to be great. I
- 32:37Speaker 1: think there's a zero percent chance that he's going to
- 32:39Speaker 1: be bad. That is a slam dunk pick. And because
- 32:42Speaker 1: he's a safety, I think he ends up going on
- 32:45Speaker 1: the back end of the top ten.
- 32:47Speaker 2: And to me, he's a top five guy. Malachi Fields.
- 32:51Speaker 1: If I go down the board, a little bit wide
- 32:53Speaker 1: receiver out of Notre Dame, He's like discount Michael Pittman.
- 32:56Speaker 1: This guy is a deep threat. He's a red zone threat.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Six four a bad day. He was dominant at Virginia
- 33:02Speaker 1: Tech and then got the bag to go to Notre Dame.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Not a big route.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Tree, but if you're just looking for someone that you
- 33:08Speaker 1: can plug into the offense and say, go get the
- 33:10Speaker 1: ball in the red zone, I think he's one of
- 33:12Speaker 1: those guys could be Fantasy relevant within a year or
- 33:15Speaker 1: two of his NFL career.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I'll throw a Monsor Delaane in the Virginia by.
- 33:20Speaker 6: The way before the Virginia. People get mad at.
- 33:22Speaker 2: You, Virginia, thank you. Yeah, I added the tech to it. Yeah.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I can already feel the hate comments coming in on
- 33:27Speaker 1: the YouTube channel. Delaane is the top corner in the draft,
- 33:31Speaker 1: and I think there's a pretty big drop off from
- 33:33Speaker 1: him and the kid from Tennessee who's still making his
- 33:36Speaker 1: way back from an ACL injury.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Got a lot of money. This is the one.
- 33:39Speaker 1: He went from Virginia Tech to LSU, but best dB
- 33:43Speaker 1: in the drafts coming out of LSU. That's pretty much
- 33:46Speaker 1: a layup most years. And then my last name is
- 33:49Speaker 1: Mike Washington out of Arkansas, the running back. This is
- 33:54Speaker 1: a wild comp. But when I watched this guy play,
- 33:57Speaker 1: I see shades of Terrell Davis. He's got kind of
- 34:01Speaker 1: that upright run style, really powerful, doesn't even really break tackles.
- 34:06Speaker 1: The defenders are sort of fall off of him. And
- 34:09Speaker 1: he's got four three three speeds, So he's a guy
- 34:12Speaker 1: that he's not gonna be a three down player. I
- 34:16Speaker 1: saw one comp that said he's kind of like Chris Carson.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I think that would be on the low end of
- 34:20Speaker 1: what he's able to produce. But he's gonna have to
- 34:22Speaker 1: pair with somebody who's a better pass catcher. That guy
- 34:25Speaker 1: is going to be a stud when given an opportunity
- 34:30Speaker 1: in the NFL.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Those are my five names I would say.
- 34:35Speaker 6: Yeah. I mean by the way that you mentioned of
- 34:37Speaker 6: a football player.
- 34:38Speaker 7: That I'm so curious to see where Like D'Angelo Ponds
- 34:42Speaker 7: fits that to a t, but like I don't know
- 34:44Speaker 7: where exactly he fits in an NFL, Like can he
- 34:49Speaker 7: like I think he's best on the outside, but can
- 34:53Speaker 7: he play If he could play in the nickel, it
- 34:57Speaker 7: might be best for him, but I don't know, Like
- 34:59Speaker 7: that's the guy if he can find a role as
- 35:01Speaker 7: just a football player. But you mentioned Delanne. I think
- 35:04Speaker 7: that the best because I think that the best corners
- 35:07Speaker 7: in the draft come like just raw skill is Jamal McCoy,
- 35:12Speaker 7: but he has major injury quiet Like he's yeah, major
- 35:17Speaker 7: injury questions coming back.
- 35:18Speaker 2: He hasn't played in like four hundred days something like that.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I'd be worried about taking a guy like that in
- 35:23Speaker 1: round one, but he probably will just because he's got
- 35:26Speaker 1: all those elite cornerback traits.
- 35:29Speaker 7: Devin Moore two out of Florida, same deal. He's dealt
- 35:32Speaker 7: with some injuries, but he's got elite cornerback traits. The
- 35:35Speaker 7: thing I would worry about with fields like he doesn't
- 35:37Speaker 7: have elite. Can he get separation consistently? It's not a
- 35:41Speaker 7: super What did he run? He's like a four to
- 35:43Speaker 7: six guy.
- 35:44Speaker 2: He's a four to six one yep, So.
- 35:47Speaker 7: Can he get enough separation? I mean he has good
- 35:50Speaker 7: ball skills and ah, but can you get enough to better?
- 35:55Speaker 7: And then Rodriguez is yeah, he's just a football player,
- 35:58Speaker 7: but can he hold up athletically in coverage? I mean
- 36:02Speaker 7: this is a former walk on whose I mean his
- 36:04Speaker 7: stock is gone. I mean you watch him play. I
- 36:07Speaker 7: mean this this guy just plays with I mean just
- 36:12Speaker 7: violence before.
- 36:13Speaker 1: He looks like Zach Thomas when I watch him, He's
- 36:15Speaker 1: just everywhere. You cannot watch a Texas Tech game and
- 36:18Speaker 1: just and not come away impressed with what he does.
- 36:21Speaker 7: Yeah, he had missed some. He has mistackle rates was
- 36:24Speaker 7: a bit high, but I Kenny, Kenny, just hold up
- 36:29Speaker 7: and coverage would.
- 36:31Speaker 6: Be my my question there. But uh, I like your
- 36:37Speaker 6: list for sure.
- 36:40Speaker 3: You know who I'm surprised that none of us brought
- 36:42Speaker 3: up and I guess I'm not surprised.
- 36:43Speaker 4: But Ruben Bain, Yeah, I mean.
- 36:45Speaker 6: He's to me. I.
- 36:46Speaker 7: I didn't go with I went with like guys who
- 36:48Speaker 7: I didn't think would be in the first round.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and he had the hipster list. Yeah, Bain is.
- 36:55Speaker 6: Definitely going in the first round. I mean they.
- 37:00Speaker 7: What is the the.
- 37:03Speaker 6: The kind of dig on him or the worri is
- 37:06Speaker 6: his arms right?
- 37:07Speaker 4: His arm length? Yeah, he's going to be a Dallas cowboy.
- 37:10Speaker 4: It is what it is.
- 37:12Speaker 7: Yeah, So like no, no, he has what is what
- 37:15Speaker 7: is his arm length is thirty And I was.
- 37:19Speaker 4: Gonna say sub thirty one, sub thirty one.
- 37:22Speaker 7: No, no player with the sub thirty one has recorded
- 37:27Speaker 7: a double digit sacks this century. So it doesn't mean
- 37:32Speaker 7: he can't translate, but that that would be the I
- 37:38Speaker 7: don't think that there's been edge rusher with those with
- 37:41Speaker 7: that short of arms who's been taken in the first
- 37:42Speaker 7: round in this century.
- 37:45Speaker 3: But I think the positive about him is that he's
- 37:49Speaker 3: a hard worker, so that's why people are kind of
- 37:51Speaker 3: high on him. But you can't you can't make your
- 37:55Speaker 3: arms any longer.
- 37:57Speaker 7: Yeah, I would take I mean, I take Bailey and
- 38:03Speaker 7: Reese over and for sure, I'm super interested being I
- 38:08Speaker 7: mean I already mentioned Akis and Young. I also really
- 38:12Speaker 7: like Keldric falk Out of Auburn.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Yeah, and he's a Day two prospect.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Yeah, like right on that cusp of like late day one,
- 38:21Speaker 3: early day tail.
- 38:22Speaker 6: I don't know, to be honest, but that sounds about right.
- 38:26Speaker 7: I but those are some names that because the rate
- 38:31Speaker 7: there were like that, I'm watching for the Ravens like
- 38:33Speaker 7: these there's a this I think that this this edge
- 38:36Speaker 7: rush class is deep and yeah, according to the Ravens,
- 38:40Speaker 7: their plan was to have their original plan is to
- 38:44Speaker 7: have Crosby and Hendrickson, which is what I told you
- 38:48Speaker 7: guys a month ago, Like that is the only thing
- 38:50Speaker 7: I care about this offseason is just edge go get
- 38:57Speaker 7: is you have to fix the edge rush no matter what.
- 38:59Speaker 7: Well that's certainly would have done it having Hendrickson and Crosby.
- 39:03Speaker 7: Crosby obviously fell through. They get Hendrickson, Okay, that helps,
- 39:09Speaker 7: but s not enough. So uh one of the some
- 39:13Speaker 7: of these guys that I'm looking at, hoping that the
- 39:15Speaker 7: Ravens grab to to help address their their clear I
- 39:21Speaker 7: think biggest weakness on the team last year.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Before we wrap this completely, we didn't mention a single quarterback,
- 39:28Speaker 1: and I think that's part of the reason why A
- 39:31Speaker 1: lot of people are sleeping on this year's draft. We're
- 39:34Speaker 1: just not We're not debating. The best drafts from a
- 39:37Speaker 1: from a content perspective are the ones where you're debating
- 39:40Speaker 1: the top pick. There's no debate there. It's obviously Fernando
- 39:42Speaker 1: Mendoza and it should be and that's the end of
- 39:45Speaker 1: the of the discussion. Then the next best for content
- 39:49Speaker 1: is debating, well, who are the best quarterbacks or who's
- 39:54Speaker 1: the next crop? And we don't believe in any of
- 39:56Speaker 1: these guys? Is there someone not necessary in the first round?
- 40:01Speaker 1: But is there anyone else that you'd be willing to
- 40:05Speaker 1: tepidly hit your wagon too and say, if given the
- 40:08Speaker 1: opportunity in the right offense, I believe in quarterback X.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Kendra is nodding her head.
- 40:15Speaker 4: You guys know who it is. For me.
- 40:16Speaker 3: I think I may have logged it in the app,
- 40:18Speaker 3: but I've definitely logged it in DraftKings. I have Garrett
- 40:21Speaker 3: Nsmeyer going in the first round. I think that he
- 40:24Speaker 3: is the number two quarterback in this draft. I know,
- 40:27Speaker 3: obviously the majority consensus is Ty Simpson, but I think
- 40:30Speaker 3: that garrettness Meyer has a far higher ceiling. So if
- 40:33Speaker 3: we're sitting here with the prompt that we have that
- 40:35Speaker 3: who is most likely to be not a bust out
- 40:39Speaker 3: of this draft, pick out of this draft class, and
- 40:41Speaker 3: you're going to give me one of the quarterbacks to pick.
- 40:43Speaker 3: I honestly think it's ns Meyer for me, which is
- 40:46Speaker 3: probably crazy to a lot of people. And he didn't
- 40:49Speaker 3: have a great season, but prior to this year, I
- 40:51Speaker 3: think that his tape looks pretty okay.
- 40:54Speaker 1: He was a guy that was supposed to be the
- 40:56Speaker 1: number one quarterback in this year's draft class and then
- 40:59Speaker 1: put together pretty mediocre season. The total quarterbacks drafted in
- 41:04Speaker 1: Round one over on draft Kings. The over under is
- 41:07Speaker 1: one and a half and the over is heavily juiced
- 41:10Speaker 1: at minus two o five. Under is plus one fifty
- 41:12Speaker 1: five stucky, Which would you bet if you had to
- 41:15Speaker 1: bet on one of those sides? Over over under one
- 41:18Speaker 1: and a half? Quarterbacks? We know that there's one. Basically,
- 41:20Speaker 1: will there be two quarterbacks taken in the first round?
- 41:23Speaker 1: Over is minus two oh five.
- 41:27Speaker 7: This isn't my specialty, so I can't, but I think
- 41:29Speaker 7: I will go over. I don't know what it should
- 41:31Speaker 7: be priced at, but I think that there's probably going
- 41:34Speaker 7: to be I think Simpson will probably find his way
- 41:37Speaker 7: into the first round, but I don't take mine.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Do you draft price aside?
- 41:44Speaker 1: Do you believe that Ty Simpson in the right offense
- 41:46Speaker 1: can be a decent NFL quarterback?
- 41:49Speaker 7: I'm not a Simpson guy, but I'm also on record
- 41:52Speaker 7: of saying, like, no one knows anything about projecting these quarterbacks.
- 41:56Speaker 1: If I Broberdy being the best example recently.
- 42:00Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, if I were, it's a team in
- 42:05Speaker 7: I don't know where he's projected to go. But a
- 42:09Speaker 7: like a guy with so much upside and potential as
- 42:14Speaker 7: Taylor Green out of Arkansas, just an unbelievable athlete, and
- 42:20Speaker 7: he has a good arm. He's just got to work
- 42:21Speaker 7: on some of the mechanics stuff. And but that's a
- 42:25Speaker 7: guy with upside that you take a shot on and
- 42:29Speaker 7: it's not gonna cast. It's not like a you know,
- 42:33Speaker 7: an Anthony Richardson where it's gonna cost you an arm
- 42:37Speaker 7: and a leg.
- 42:40Speaker 6: Two.
- 42:41Speaker 7: He's not you know, it's not he's not gonna fourth overall,
- 42:44Speaker 7: and but he has a ton of upside, So like
- 42:46Speaker 7: he could be an interesting project, but not the it's
- 42:49Speaker 7: not that the.
- 42:50Speaker 6: Problem with nus Myers.
- 42:51Speaker 7: He can't move, so like he's he doesn't fit the
- 42:55Speaker 7: mold of like the the quarterbacks that you want in
- 42:58Speaker 7: today's day and age, like who are the who is
- 43:02Speaker 7: the best?
- 43:04Speaker 6: Like you gotta hope he's.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Like GoF that's the one Golf Stafford as far as quarterbacks.
- 43:11Speaker 2: That are that are elite but not mobile, But.
- 43:14Speaker 7: Those guys have been around for have been around for
- 43:16Speaker 7: a while. But like everyone else, like who's like Lawrence
- 43:20Speaker 7: can move, Caleb can move, Drake may can move?
- 43:23Speaker 1: The guy who won the Super Bowl? Where do we
- 43:25Speaker 1: put Sam Darnold? In that discussion?
- 43:27Speaker 3: What I was going to say is that when you're
- 43:29Speaker 3: kind of projecting things like this quarterback situation is you
- 43:33Speaker 3: have to remember that a lot of this is based
- 43:36Speaker 3: off positional value, right, and quarterback has the highest positional value.
- 43:42Speaker 3: So if someone's going to take a shot late in
- 43:44Speaker 3: the first round, it's probably going to be at a
- 43:46Speaker 3: quarterback over you know, a wide receiver or a tight
- 43:49Speaker 3: end or something that is heavy in this draft, just
- 43:51Speaker 3: because there's such a need for not just a starting quarterback,
- 43:54Speaker 3: but a backup quarterback, and a lot of the times
- 43:56Speaker 3: a good or a great backup quarterback is worth a first.
- 43:59Speaker 4: Or a second round pick.
- 44:00Speaker 3: So I think that a lot of people don't take
- 44:02Speaker 3: into consideration the mindset of some of these GM moves
- 44:05Speaker 3: in how much they value certain positions and taking a
- 44:10Speaker 3: shot at certain positions over others.
- 44:12Speaker 6: Well, yeah, that's I mean, that's that's probably what's going
- 44:14Speaker 6: to dictate this draft.
- 44:15Speaker 3: Like the Okay Jackson Dart last year, he was not
- 44:17Speaker 3: expected to go in the first round, but because of
- 44:19Speaker 3: the needed quarterback he did.
- 44:21Speaker 7: Yeah, someone he won a quarterback and you find that's
- 44:24Speaker 7: I mean, that's going to solve a lot of your issues.
- 44:25Speaker 7: Like if the if if Dardens of being the guy
- 44:28Speaker 7: for the Giants, it solves a lot of the issues.
- 44:30Speaker 2: For a while.
- 44:31Speaker 7: But that's probably going to drive and next the first
- 44:35Speaker 7: round activity like you're probably going to see a ton
- 44:39Speaker 7: of these tackles go and then these edge rushers.
- 44:43Speaker 4: There's going to be a run of backers edge rushers.
- 44:46Speaker 7: Yeah, the edge rushers and tackle the premium just the
- 44:49Speaker 7: positional value of both that you'll probably see a run
- 44:53Speaker 7: on both at some point.
- 44:55Speaker 1: The projection, I think a safe project projection could be
- 44:59Speaker 1: Arizona on to trades back into the first round to
- 45:03Speaker 1: get Ty Simpson so that they have that fifth year
- 45:05Speaker 1: option on the quarterback. To Kendrick's point, that's part of
- 45:08Speaker 1: the positional value of getting the quarterback in round one also,
- 45:12Speaker 1: not only because of how important quarterback is, but because
- 45:15Speaker 1: you get that extra year and that contractually is more important.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Look at what the Texans are doing now with CJ.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Stroud.
- 45:22Speaker 1: They said, here's the fifth year option, but we're not
- 45:25Speaker 1: sure about you, bro, So perhaps that happens with Ty Simpson.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Good conversation today, got the football juice is flowing. That'll
