- 0:04Speaker 1: Ken from Mark Today, here's Ken Rosatto Independent say weekend
- 0:09Speaker 1: on it for Mark and enjoying the seat. I promise, though, Mark,
- 0:13Speaker 1: I will dust it off for you so that you
- 0:15Speaker 1: can come back on Monday and entertainer solid shows to
- 0:18Speaker 1: seven w R the Voice of New York. Straight to
- 0:21Speaker 1: our busy phones. We say, good morning, Vincent, happy for it,
- 0:23Speaker 1: my friend.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Happy Independence Day. Ken. Everybody told young kids talk about
- 0:29Speaker 2: the glories of socialized medicine and socialism in general, that's
- 0:34Speaker 2: because they haven't lived it on their backs. Ken. Last year,
- 0:37Speaker 2: I was in Italy and I met up with some
- 0:41Speaker 2: friends and this friend told me that he had a
- 0:45Speaker 2: minor hernia that needed repair. He went to the doctor
- 0:48Speaker 2: and the doctor they score it. They said, wow, this
- 0:51Speaker 2: is not so bad. A year after the fact, he's
- 0:55Speaker 2: still waiting to have this hernia surgery. Rightetional healthcare system
- 1:01Speaker 2: in Italy is hemorrhaging because the care is so poor.
- 1:08Speaker 2: It's better in the north that in the south. A
- 1:10Speaker 2: lot of people are buying private policies even though the
- 1:16Speaker 2: tools are taken out of their salary every month, and
- 1:21Speaker 2: a lot of doctors and nurses are leaving the system because,
- 1:25Speaker 2: depending on where you live, the government negotiates your contract.
- 1:29Speaker 2: They tell the doctor how much you're gonna make. They
- 1:32Speaker 2: tell the tech how much you're gonna make. They tell
- 1:35Speaker 2: the nurse how much you're gonna make. And a lot
- 1:37Speaker 2: of these professionals they're saying, I went to medical school
- 1:40Speaker 2: for ten years and I'm gonna make a garbage man salary.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yeah, twenty two bucks, twenty five dollars a visit. That's socialism.
- 1:49Speaker 1: There is no incentive to socialism. That's why it fails
- 1:52Speaker 1: every time it's been tried. And I love the democratic
- 1:56Speaker 1: socialists love to think that, well, it just hasn't been
- 1:59Speaker 1: done right, we're going to do it differently. They're not
- 2:01Speaker 1: doing it differently. This is the way they get in
- 2:03Speaker 1: through the back door. They convince you they know what
- 2:06Speaker 1: they're doing, and then once they have power, they turn
- 2:08Speaker 1: it into crap like they did every place out. What
- 2:11Speaker 1: do you think all the other twenty people who tried socialism,
- 2:14Speaker 1: all the other twenty times, that they all just missed something,
- 2:17Speaker 1: But you nail the solution. It's the socialism is only
- 2:20Speaker 1: good for the socialist, as you.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Exactly exactly can all the party leaders in Italy. They
- 2:27Speaker 2: drive around and what they call these blue CAUs they're
- 2:29Speaker 2: blue Mercedes Benz. Meanwhile, the people are driving around in
- 2:34Speaker 2: three cyllin the FIAX. And this same friend of mine,
- 2:37Speaker 2: he needed dental work like major crowns and stuff in
- 2:40Speaker 2: the front. The healthcare doesn't pay for it. They'll pay
- 2:44Speaker 2: for two cavities cleaning and some bite wing X rays
- 2:50Speaker 2: once every two years. That's about the extent of it.
- 2:53Speaker 2: If you want restorative dental work, dig deep into your
- 2:57Speaker 2: pocket spout, because that's what it's going to cost. And
- 3:00Speaker 2: I had a tenant years ago, a young couple in
- 3:03Speaker 2: their twenties talking about they were from Kansas, talking about
- 3:07Speaker 2: the glories of socialized medicine up in Canada. Well, go
- 3:12Speaker 2: up there and see how many people are dying to
- 3:15Speaker 2: come over to the border clinics right across our border
- 3:18Speaker 2: to get feeded.
- 3:19Speaker 1: That's what they do if they need an MRI. They
- 3:21Speaker 1: can't wait nine months. If you got forbid to have
- 3:23Speaker 1: a tumb or something, you don't wait nine months for
- 3:25Speaker 1: an MRI. And that's what they do. They come across
- 3:27Speaker 1: the border and they spend out of pocket. You could
- 3:29Speaker 1: get a lot of people think MRIs are ten thousand dollars.
- 3:32Speaker 1: That's what they try to try to charge the insurance companies.
- 3:34Speaker 1: You can get an MRI for a few hundred bucks,
- 3:36Speaker 1: I mean, you know. And that's what people from Canada do.
- 3:38Speaker 1: They come over and do that.
- 3:39Speaker 2: There's all these medical tourism right over the borders Wyoming,
- 3:44Speaker 2: North Dakota, all over the place right over there. They
- 3:48Speaker 2: just go over to the people who can afford it.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And in spite of the.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Fact the ones unfortunately, yeah.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It can't afford it, right And in spite of the
- 3:56Speaker 1: fact that helps relieve the socialized system. And even with that,
- 4:00Speaker 1: the socialized system doesn't work. It just doesn't work. Vincent, Happy,
- 4:05Speaker 1: Happy Independence Day, my friend. Love when you call it
- 4:08Speaker 1: all the time you as well, my friend, always makes
- 4:11Speaker 1: my day. I love you, Vincent, Take it, Eric, take care,
- 4:13Speaker 1: Bud than you you bet. Seven to ten w R
- 4:16Speaker 1: The Voice of New York Arnold, Good morning, Good morning.
- 4:21Speaker 3: You know, I just wanted to add to one thing.
- 4:22Speaker 3: There's three hundred people a month in the UK they said,
- 4:25Speaker 3: are dying waiting for help. Kare, But I wanted to
- 4:28Speaker 3: talk about the budget. You were recently talking about the
- 4:32Speaker 3: New York budget, Florida. The one thing I'm from originally
- 4:35Speaker 3: New York and then New Jersey and then the progression
- 4:38Speaker 3: is to move to here, Florida.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Right, which is weird. Now we're in Florida, I have
- 4:41Speaker 1: to ask what city. Oh nice, I'm down in Lauderdale.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Okay, But anyways, the uh, you know, the one thing
- 4:50Speaker 3: that people forget is Florida doesn't have an income taxes.
- 4:53Speaker 1: And they're about to get rid of it's about to
- 4:55Speaker 1: get rid of property tax.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Yeah, the property tax. But you know, you look at
- 4:59Speaker 3: all these I just can you look at New York
- 5:01Speaker 3: and they hate anybody that that works, and you say
- 5:05Speaker 3: to yourself, look, they're going to confiscate homes. Who's going
- 5:08Speaker 3: to do it for them? They hate the cops. They're
- 5:10Speaker 3: going to do away with police, do away with the military.
- 5:13Speaker 3: They want to get all these people out of the
- 5:15Speaker 3: city and hit their budgets. One hundred and twenty five billion.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Who's going to pay for this? And then who's going
- 5:20Speaker 3: to confiscate people's homes? They don't have anybody, you know,
- 5:23Speaker 3: they keep talking big while we're gonna do this, and
- 5:26Speaker 3: we're going to do that. The other communists in Colorado's
- 5:29Speaker 3: going to confiscate people's homes. Who who is going to
- 5:33Speaker 3: go out there and take somebody's home, Arnold.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Remember remember Margaret Thatcher's line, socialism is great until you
- 5:39Speaker 1: run out of other people's money, right.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Well they ran out already, and you know, the City
- 5:44Speaker 3: of New York just got the money from the state.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You wonder why ten thousand people, ten thousand people every
- 5:50Speaker 1: day moved to the Sunshine State of Florida. For a reason,
- 5:53Speaker 1: It's because they are fleeing this nonsense.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I wish they would I wish they would stop. I
- 5:57Speaker 3: don't want too many of them.
- 5:59Speaker 1: The problem is too many bring the crazy left wing
- 6:01Speaker 1: politics to Florida. That's the problem. You know, they don't
- 6:04Speaker 1: realize that. Part of the problem is is in New
- 6:07Speaker 1: York is the political mindset. You have to change, change,
- 6:11Speaker 1: and we could have it better in New York. All
- 6:12Speaker 1: you've got to do is vote differently. It really comes
- 6:14Speaker 1: down to that, Arnold. Thank you so much, sir. Happy
- 6:17Speaker 1: Independence Day.
- 6:18Speaker 3: The Independence Day.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Thank you and Mario. We got about thirty seconds. How
- 6:22Speaker 1: are you ser Hello, Hi Mary or you're on.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Mario.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Don't listen to the radio, it's on delay. Listen to
- 6:31Speaker 1: the phone.
- 6:33Speaker 4: I mean you were talking to Vince about the medical
- 6:35Speaker 4: problems in Canada. I think you should add another thing
- 6:38Speaker 4: and this something made maid medical assistance and dying and
- 6:43Speaker 4: it goes into effect with August and what it means
- 6:46Speaker 4: pretty much the black and white of it is that
- 6:49Speaker 4: a nurse can come into your room in the middle
- 6:51Speaker 4: of the night and shoot you up with some drugs
- 6:54Speaker 4: and take you out and kill you. This is allowed.
- 6:57Speaker 4: It's called MAID made.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It's something they've had in Canada for years, and it's
- 7:02Speaker 1: something that's now being passed in a lot of different states,
- 7:06Speaker 1: and it's really scary. Yeah, I'm with you. I think
- 7:08Speaker 1: people should look that up and think about it because Canada,
- 7:11Speaker 1: when they started, they figured just a few people would
- 7:13Speaker 1: get it. As it turns out, thousands upon thousands of young,
- 7:17Speaker 1: healthy people are committing suicide legally in the state or
- 7:22Speaker 1: in the nation of Canada because of little because they
- 7:25Speaker 1: have depression. Rather than treating the depression, there are now
- 7:28Speaker 1: doctors willing to end their lives. It's awful. I appreciate
- 7:31Speaker 1: the phone call, Suri. You're right, it's something people need
- 7:34Speaker 1: to read about.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Mario.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Happy Independence, They sir, love having you on. Thank you
