• 1:47
Speaker 3: going on out there. So I look up this morning
• 1:51
Speaker 3: and I see in one of my one of my
• 1:54
Speaker 3: good friends, Tom Payton, and that's good news. But the
• 1:57
Speaker 3: second thing is I look up and I see Steve
• 1:58
Speaker 3: Animal as well this morning. Now you guys are Tom,
• 2:02
Speaker 3: good morning, Welcome, good.
• 2:03
Speaker 5: Morning, Ill balance Steve out here, good exactly.
• 2:06
Speaker 6: I have representation now, thank you Tom.
• 2:10
Speaker 5: You know Day's got me on retainer.
• 2:12
Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah. Sorry sorry man, Sorry, you're out of luck.
• 2:15
Speaker 3: But you guys are here to talk about Tom will
• 2:17
Speaker 3: start with you. Here to talk about a big golf
• 2:19
Speaker 3: out of that's happening this Friday over at Sleepy Holidays.
• 2:22
Speaker 7: Talking about them usually here for the I Ask the
• 2:24
Speaker 7: Lawyer show on Thursday, So this is something much more
• 2:26
Speaker 7: fun to talk about. So coming up now, I'm at
• 2:29
Speaker 7: the I'm the president of the board at the Dumont
• 2:31
Speaker 7: Track County wy and it scot depot have been for
• 2:33
Speaker 7: a few years and we only really have one major
• 2:37
Speaker 7: fundraiser a year and it's just this golf event that's
• 2:39
Speaker 7: coming up Friday. And uh, the point is that, you know,
• 2:45
Speaker 7: we we do not turn any child away at the YMCA.
• 2:50
Speaker 7: We have a lot of programs swimming, soccer, it's much
• 2:53
Speaker 7: more than a gym for the summer camp, which is
• 2:55
Speaker 7: really great camp high tour, and so if a child
• 2:58
Speaker 7: has a family situation where they couldn't afford the programs,
• 3:01
Speaker 7: we don't turn them away.
• 3:02
Speaker 3: I'm a large child, sixty one year old child, but
• 3:07
Speaker 3: you might be on a list if you come to
• 3:09
Speaker 3: some of these programs.
• 3:11
Speaker 7: But this is our fundraiser so that we can continue
• 3:14
Speaker 7: to do that scholarship program and keep letting every child
• 3:17
Speaker 7: participate in no matter the financial circumstances. Now, it's also
• 3:21
Speaker 7: a really really fun event. So it's a golf scramble
• 3:23
Speaker 7: at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, which is one of the
• 3:26
Speaker 7: I'm biased, but I think it's the best golf.
• 3:28
Speaker 5: Club in the area.
• 3:29
Speaker 7: It's private ordinarily, so not everybody gets a chance to
• 3:32
Speaker 7: play it. So this is a good opportunity to play
• 3:34
Speaker 7: Sleepy Hollow Golf Club if you want to. It's a
• 3:37
Speaker 7: scramble formatt which if you don't know much about golf,
• 3:40
Speaker 7: that allows it doesn't golf very much to play comfortably
• 3:43
Speaker 7: because you can rely on your playing partners to kind
• 3:46
Speaker 7: of speak slack. That's right, and it's really about having
• 3:49
  Speaker 7: a good time.
• 3:49
Speaker 6: So we love about slack.
• 3:50
Speaker 7: Yeah, we have We have a morning flight at eight
• 3:53
Speaker 7: fifteen in an afternoon flight at one fifteen, so you
• 3:55
Speaker 7: have two choices. We only got about six slots left,
• 3:58
Speaker 7: so if you're interested in play and you need to.
• 4:00
Speaker 5: Need to get on it.
• 4:02
Speaker 7: We do have evening entertainment, so we have a live
• 4:04
Speaker 7: band on the patio and I know Dave's been to
• 4:08
Speaker 7: Sleepy Hollow, I think so.
• 4:09
Speaker 5: The patio is just a numerous times.
• 4:10
Speaker 7: It overlooks the golf course whole number nine, which is
• 4:14
Speaker 7: one of the top holes. Actually, when Fred did a
• 4:16
Speaker 7: poll in twenty twenty, it was ranked one of the
• 4:19
Speaker 7: top ten holes in the state. It's very picturesque, so
• 4:22
Speaker 7: you got full set, live band of the evening. If
• 4:26
Speaker 7: you don't want the golf, you can attend the party.
• 4:28
Speaker 7: I think it's fifty dollars for a single and ninety
• 4:31
Speaker 7: dollars for a couple. You get really good food, wine
• 4:35
Speaker 7: and beer is included. We have Sleepy Hollys full bar
• 4:39
Speaker 7: is open as well as cash bar. If you want
• 4:41
Speaker 7: a cocktail or a craft beer, they have I think
• 4:44
Speaker 7: eighteen draft taps. One of them is root beer, an alcoholic,
• 4:48
Speaker 7: but lots to do so we're looking forward to it.
• 4:52
Speaker 7: I'm sponsoring a whole in one contest on number nine.
• 4:56
Speaker 7: It's number nine is a par four, meaning a longer hole,
• 4:59
Speaker 7: but we're shortening it up for a small fee and
• 5:02
Speaker 7: you can so people can watch you hit across the
• 5:05
Speaker 7: lake and try and make a hole in one number nine.
• 5:07
Speaker 5: If you do, you win twenty thousand dollars, you get
• 5:09
Speaker 5: into the lake, then you lose a golf ball.
• 5:13
Speaker 6: That's usually the way it works, Steve, I should bring extras.
• 5:15
Speaker 3: Trying to keep up. All right, So where are we on?
• 5:19
Speaker 3: You said, we've only got like six slots left, right.
• 5:21
Speaker 7: Yeah, I think there's a few in the morning and
• 5:24
Speaker 7: a little more in the afternoon. So if you call
• 5:26
Speaker 7: today the number you just called a y and they'll
• 5:29
Speaker 7: help you out. But if you need the number, it's
• 5:31
Speaker 7: three zero four seven five seven zero zero one six.
• 5:37
Speaker 7: Marty there is our executive director and does a great job,
• 5:39
Speaker 7: and or any of the staff will get you the
• 5:42
Speaker 7: entry form. But it's four persons scramble, So just get
• 5:46
Speaker 7: four people together and come and have a great time.
• 5:49
Speaker 3: And you may be wondering why this imbecile is on
• 5:52
Speaker 3: the show this morning, thank you, And that's because the Mountain,
• 5:56
Speaker 3: our sister station ninety eight to seven, a Mountain Wild,
• 5:58
Speaker 3: a wonderful classic rock will be casting line from there.
• 6:01
Speaker 6: Absolutely so I'll have some other cool prizes to give away,
• 6:04
Speaker 6: maybe some golf balls that I find out there, as
• 6:08
Speaker 6: long as nobody yells at me taking up their balls.
• 6:10
Speaker 3: I was there last year and unfortunately, because I work
• 6:15
Speaker 3: now in the afternoons, I will not be able. I
• 6:17
  Speaker 3: was working then.
• 6:18
Speaker 6: Too, yes, but but.
• 6:20
Speaker 3: I won't be able to be there this year. So
• 6:23
Speaker 3: I'm leaving you, mister Antham, in charge of things.
• 6:25
Speaker 6: So come on out for lunch. It's going to be
• 6:27
Speaker 6: a good time. We'll have Mountain swag to give away
• 6:29
Speaker 6: while it lasts. And of course, like you said, it's
• 6:32
Speaker 6: going to be an all day event. So yeah, make
• 6:34
Speaker 6: plans to actually go to Sleepy Hollow Golf Club. You
• 6:38
Speaker 6: will not be turned away even though you are not
• 6:40
Speaker 6: a member. You can come see me. Well that's a draw.
• 6:44
Speaker 3: So a lot about sponsors. I mean, I know most
• 6:47
Speaker 3: of your rajors sponsorships are probably gone, but somebody, if
• 6:49
Speaker 3: a business has listened, they like to sponsor a whole
• 6:51
Speaker 3: or something like that.
• 6:52
Speaker 5: You have those available, Yeah, we got whole sponsors.
• 6:55
Speaker 7: Need to get a call in today because we of
• 6:56
Speaker 7: course we make signs to post on every whole whole sponsor.
• 6:59
Speaker 7: If you'd don't want to or can't play in the tournament,
• 7:02
Speaker 7: it's two hundred dollars, so it's a pretty small amount
• 7:05
Speaker 7: to get your name on a hole out there, be
• 7:08
Speaker 7: on a sign, So on the tea box where everybody
• 7:10
Speaker 7: hits from. So they'll get some good Uh, it's good
• 7:14
Speaker 7: advertising there for a great cause.
• 7:17
Speaker 6: To go ahead, I said, it'll be an eye catcher catcher.
• 7:21
Speaker 5: Indeed, indeed it will be.
• 7:23
Speaker 3: But Dave Island showing five any live broadheo a part
• 7:25
Speaker 3: by your hometown baseball team, the Charleston Dirty Birds off
• 7:27
Speaker 3: night tonight for the Birds or back at home tomorrow
• 7:29
Speaker 3: night for two dollars tuesdays as they take on Staten Island.
• 7:33
Speaker 3: Is it dirty Birds Baseball dot com at the social
• 7:35
Speaker 3: media If you need more information about that, go back
• 7:38
Speaker 3: and talk a little bit about So you mentioned some
• 7:40
Speaker 3: of the activities Tom that some of the things that
• 7:43
Speaker 3: this YMCA does. But give us a little bit more
• 7:46
Speaker 3: can you give us like a and I don't want
• 7:48
Speaker 3: to mention names, but do you have any personal stories
• 7:50
Speaker 3: of people that you've seen who've been kind of transformed
• 7:53
Speaker 3: by the programs that are offered there.
• 7:55
Speaker 7: Yeah, we have a lot. Well, we've had kids that
• 7:57
Speaker 7: have grown up there and and well, first of all,
• 7:59
Speaker 7: we have an indoe pool, which you know allows us
• 8:04
Speaker 7: to I think all the Putnam County high schools and
• 8:07
Speaker 7: maybe Nitro utilize our pool for swim practice. Otherwise they'd
• 8:12
Speaker 7: be traveling used to use uc some I'm not sure
• 8:14
Speaker 7: that you see even hasn't indoor pool at this point,
• 8:17
Speaker 7: and then to Charleston Wide does as well. But yeah,
• 8:20
Speaker 7: we've got a number of stories of kids growing up
• 8:22
Speaker 7: there where they you know, we have a summer camp
• 8:24
Speaker 7: all summer long where you know, when I was a kid,
• 8:27
Speaker 7: we'd say it keeps the kids off the streets. I
• 8:28
Speaker 7: think now it's more appropriate to say it keeps them
• 8:30
Speaker 7: away from their computer screen.
• 8:32
Speaker 3: Yeah, keeps them off the phone for a little while.
• 8:34
Speaker 7: That's right off their phone, but it's it's not you know,
• 8:36
Speaker 7: we have a base location where we have the pool,
• 8:39
Speaker 7: fitness center, basketball courts where the kids come and hang out.
• 8:43
Speaker 7: Uh and then Camp High Tour. Our summer camp is
• 8:47
Speaker 7: Multiple eight. It's about five miles from our main area
• 8:51
Speaker 7: out north Poplar Fork Road there towards Winfield.
• 8:53
  Speaker 5: But it's it's acreage.
• 8:55
Speaker 7: We have a really nice renovated pool there, renovated log,
• 8:59
  Speaker 7: lots of activity. So it's a I think there's usually
• 9:01
Speaker 7: slots open in the summer. If you're looking for somewhere
• 9:04
Speaker 7: for your child to go over the summertime for a
• 9:07
Speaker 7: day camp, then it's a really good opportunity out there
• 9:11
Speaker 7: if you live in today's valley. But you know, you
• 9:14
Speaker 7: don't know every child situation, but certainly when you have
• 9:18
Speaker 7: kids that you're letting participate that wouldn't be able to
• 9:22
Speaker 7: afford to otherwise without the scholarship, I mean a lot
• 9:26
Speaker 7: of times they have difficulty, you know, non traditional homes
• 9:30
Speaker 7: sometimes dysfunctional on the Why gives them a place to
• 9:32
Speaker 7: go and it's you know, I like to work out
• 9:37
Speaker 7: a little bit, and you have some gems that are intimidating.
• 9:40
Speaker 7: You know, you have a lot of I would say
• 9:43
Speaker 7: more intense folks working out there. Why is probably something
• 9:47
Speaker 7: gives you a more inviting, friendly atmosphere. Certainly have a
• 9:51
Speaker 7: fitness center and we have really good free weights and
• 9:54
Speaker 7: things like that. We have you know, exercise programs that
• 9:57
Speaker 7: go everywhere from the silver sneakers for older folks. Think
• 10:00
Speaker 7: Medicare will pay for that program actually, So we have
• 10:03
  Speaker 7: water aerobics, we.
• 10:04
Speaker 5: Have yoga, we have plotties. Uh.
• 10:08
Speaker 7: And then you know you can get more into the
• 10:10
Speaker 7: intense workouts like boot camps and things like that. So
• 10:12
Speaker 7: there's just a lot to offer there that's different than
• 10:16
Speaker 7: what you would get at kind of your big box,
• 10:19
Speaker 7: uh fitness centers that you see around.
• 10:21
Speaker 3: And where is it physically located and a lot of
• 10:23
Speaker 3: people may not know that.
• 10:24
Speaker 7: Yeah, so if you're it's it's in Scott Depot. You
• 10:28
Speaker 7: can actually see it from the Interstate next to the
• 10:32
Speaker 7: the Tayes Valley high Rise, the G ANDNG building, But
• 10:34
Speaker 7: you have to go down in front of Kroger if
• 10:36
Speaker 7: you're at the Tes Valley or and then turn left
• 10:40
Speaker 7: like you're going to go to the Dairy Queen and
• 10:41
Speaker 7: it's there. You know where the movie theater is in Valley,
• 10:44
Speaker 7: So it's not that term, but it's Carl's Lane just
• 10:46
Speaker 7: past that if you're heading east, easy to see, a
• 10:50
Speaker 7: little bit more difficult to get to, but uh but
• 10:53
Speaker 7: it's still conveniently located, plenty of free parking, and uh
• 10:57
Speaker 7: there's a lot to do there. So we're progressing. We
• 11:00
Speaker 7: actually have a big expansion in the works where we're
• 11:02
Speaker 7: gonna enlarge the fitness center and make it twenty four
• 11:05
Speaker 7: hours and and do some other things to provide more
• 11:08
Speaker 7: amenities to the members so.
• 11:10
Speaker 6: I can get properly pumped.
• 11:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, good luck with that.
• 11:14
Speaker 5: Good luck with that.
• 11:15
Speaker 3: We'll have a special trainer all the special training special trainer,
• 11:20
Speaker 3: one that specialized in liver training. So, uh, animal, you
• 11:23
Speaker 3: guys are gonna be out there broadcasting starting at what
• 11:25
  Speaker 3: time again.
• 11:26
Speaker 6: Eleven o'clock this Friday, eleven.
• 11:27
Speaker 3: O'clock, and you'll be a big part of it. And yeah,
• 11:30
Speaker 3: I think you did some of the MC work you
• 11:32
  Speaker 3: know last year.
• 11:33
Speaker 6: I did last year. And then once they brought out
• 11:35
Speaker 6: the food, you know, I.
• 11:38
Speaker 3: Was And I will say this about Sleepy Hollow. I
• 11:40
Speaker 3: mean it's fantastic facility, but the food, I mean even
• 11:43
Speaker 3: even the more casual type food, right like the like
• 11:46
Speaker 3: they have it. Yeah, it really Yeah, those.
• 11:49
Speaker 7: To our food service there if you're kind of a
• 11:52
Speaker 7: more of a Charleston night chef. Dennis Harris is running
• 11:55
Speaker 7: the food service there. He's actually the director of operations,
• 11:57
Speaker 7: so he used to be he was actually Aubrey's I
• 12:00
Speaker 7: you're a Saint Albans guy from a long time ago,
• 12:02
Speaker 7: and then he worked at Edgewood for quite a number
• 12:05
Speaker 7: of years, so folks might know him from there. But
• 12:06
Speaker 7: he's he's the director of operations at sleep All and
• 12:09
Speaker 7: doing a really good job. And the food is good.
• 12:11
Speaker 7: We're gonna have buffet style food Friday evening. But I
• 12:15
Speaker 7: assure you will be very good.
• 12:16
Speaker 6: Yeah, no, he rocks.
• 12:17
Speaker 3: Actually all right, give us the details again, Tom before
• 12:20
Speaker 3: we let you go, and we'll have you on maybe
• 12:21
Speaker 3: later on this week to talk about a little bit more.
• 12:23
Speaker 3: But give us the details. The phone numbers, the websites,
• 12:25
Speaker 3: social media. Yeah, you can go bail bondsman. You can
• 12:28
Speaker 3: see you can go to the Wye website. You can
• 12:32
Speaker 3: call three oh four seven five seven zero zero one
• 12:35
Speaker 3: six that goes to the wine and any of the
• 12:37
Speaker 3: WHY employees can help you. You can talk to Marty, our
• 12:40
Speaker 3: executive director. He'll certainly be helpful. Yeah.
• 12:44
Speaker 7: Two opportunities to play golf eight at fifteen in the
• 12:47
Speaker 7: morning or one fifteen in the afternoon, so you can
• 12:50
Speaker 7: squeeze it in the morning or afternoon. And then really
• 12:53
Speaker 7: you ought to stick around for the party because it's
• 12:55
Speaker 7: going to be a good time.
• 12:56
Speaker 3: And again if you can't, if you've got to work
• 12:58
Speaker 3: or whatever and you can't get away to go play golf,
• 13:00
Speaker 3: you could just come out for the party.
• 13:02
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 13:02
Speaker 7: I think you can buy tickets on the spot, give
• 13:04
Speaker 7: you a little wrist band, but full band on the patio.
• 13:07
  Speaker 5: The patio.
• 13:08
Speaker 7: There is no better spot to listen to a band
• 13:11
Speaker 7: and have a couple of beverages and a good meal
• 13:13
  Speaker 7: with friends.
• 13:14
  Speaker 5: All right.
• 13:14
Speaker 6: That is a great place. And I always refer back
• 13:17
Speaker 6: to Mike Greenleaf because he's you know, he gets me
• 13:20
  Speaker 6: through security.
• 13:23
  Speaker 2: All right.
• 13:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, Tom, I appreciate you being here, Thanks for having
• 13:26
Speaker 3: me on. And Steve, uh, just go be Steve somewhere. Okay,
• 13:29
Speaker 3: I'm gonna go back upstairs and play some rock all right.
• 13:32
Speaker 3: So yeah, Oh, by the way, I haven't had you on
• 13:34
Speaker 3: the show since the Mountain one Rock Station of the
• 13:37
Speaker 3: Year at the Hey Congratulates at the West Virginia Broadcasters Association.
• 13:41
Speaker 3: I just happened to think about.
• 13:42
Speaker 6: That completely blown away in surprised by that.

Speaker 3: give away this morning?
• 14:56
Speaker 6: So last Monday I gave away a bowling ball and
• 14:59

Speaker 6: so they're probably not going to fit.
• 15:17

Speaker 3: Thank you for being here. We just wrapped up a

• 19:20
Speaker 12: Animal, Oh, you're really hard on him.
• 19:23
Speaker 3: Well, that's what we do. That's what we do. What
• 19:25
Speaker 3: you do with your best friends, It's what you do
• 19:27
Speaker 3: with your best friends, right. That's so. I want to
• 19:29
Speaker 3: talk about the WIN Academy, and we talked a lot
• 19:32
Speaker 3: about that, but I was reading some information that you
• 19:36
Speaker 3: put out about the WIN Academy and for those who
• 19:38
Speaker 3: don't know, we'll get into what it is here. Momentarily.
• 19:41
Speaker 3: Get one hundred percent of those attending the academy going
• 19:45
Speaker 3: to college, and that you're the only public high school
• 19:48
Speaker 3: in the state that can say that. Did I read that?
• 19:50
  Speaker 5: Right?
• 19:51
  Speaker 3: That's right.
• 19:51
Speaker 12: We're really proud of our students. All of our high
• 19:54
Speaker 12: school graduates are either going to Bridge Valley or to
• 19:56
Speaker 12: other colleges and they're taking with them a year, some
• 20:01
Speaker 12: of them two years worth of college credits that they'll
• 20:03
Speaker 12: transfer in as sophomores or juniors.
• 20:05
  Speaker 3: And again, that's that's pretty good. I mean, that's the
• 20:08
Speaker 3: you're the only public school, and then when Academy is
• 20:11
Speaker 3: considered that they public school in the state of West
• 20:13
Speaker 3: Virginia with one college bound right, for lack of a
• 20:19
  Speaker 3: better term, that's.
• 20:19
Speaker 12: Right, for the second year in a row. We're really proud.
• 20:22
Speaker 12: Our students are terrific, and they do come to us
• 20:26
Speaker 12: because they specifically are interested in workforce and careers. They're
• 20:30
Speaker 12: interested in nursing or the health sciences, or they're interested
• 20:33
Speaker 12: in advanced manufacturing technology. So they come in with some
• 20:36
Speaker 12: really clear direction and we work really hard to get
• 20:39
Speaker 12: them certifications and get them on track so that once
• 20:42
Speaker 12: they graduate, they're ready to go right into the nursing program.
• 20:46
Speaker 12: Where what we were seeing was that lots of students
• 20:48
Speaker 12: would come to us and still need to take microbiology
• 20:52
Speaker 12: and still need to take all those prerequisite classes, and
• 20:55
Speaker 12: so we've just moved their prerequisites into their high school curriculum.
• 20:59
Speaker 3: And again, for those who may not know, and you're
• 21:00
Speaker 3: on with me, a couple of times a month, but
• 21:02
Speaker 3: those who may not know explain the whole concept of
• 21:04
  Speaker 3: the Wyn Academy.
• 21:06
Speaker 12: So the Win Academy is a public charter high school
• 21:08
Speaker 12: for juniors and seniors in high school who want to
• 21:11
Speaker 12: go into nursing or manufacturing and they leave their traditional
• 21:16
Speaker 12: high school and they come here to Bridge Valley and
• 21:18
Speaker 12: they take college classes right alongside college students. It's actually funny,
• 21:23
Speaker 12: you can't really differentiate them from our college students. They
• 21:28
Speaker 12: and we think that's a feature that they really are
• 21:30
Speaker 12: here to learn and to go to class, and so
• 21:33
Speaker 12: that they go to college and that also counts as
• 21:37
Speaker 12: their high school. So they graduate concurrently with college credits
• 21:41
Speaker 12: and a high school diploma.
• 21:42

Speaker 3: Show and five Vidieline brought to you apart by Morgan
• 21:47
Speaker 3: and Morgan, America's largest injury law firm. I was reading
• 21:50
Speaker 3: an article doctor Saxson Wall Street Journal from one day
• 21:54
Speaker 3: last week, and it made me think of you because
• 21:56
Speaker 3: the headline was high school juniors attract job offers to
• 22:00
Speaker 3: being seventy thousand dollars. It is amazing, and it's through
• 22:04
Speaker 3: programs like what you're talking about. I think about that.
• 22:06
Speaker 3: I mean my first job as a high school senior,
• 22:09
Speaker 3: I got paid three thirty five an hour, and that's
• 22:11
Speaker 3: what minimum wage was in nineteen eighty eight when I
• 22:14
Speaker 3: went to when I began my first radio job, when
• 22:16
Speaker 3: I was seventeen years old, I was making three thirty
• 22:19
Speaker 3: five an hour. I would have had to have worked
• 22:21
Speaker 3: like what forty hours a day to be able to
• 22:24
Speaker 3: make seventy thousand dollars at seventeen years old.
• 22:27
Speaker 12: Yeah, it's interesting here in the valley we see those jobs,
• 22:32
Speaker 12: especially in the manufacturing sector, and our manufacturers that participate
• 22:36
Speaker 12: we've talked about theme. It's the Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education.
• 22:40
Speaker 12: They participate as a consortium and hire students while they're
• 22:43
Speaker 12: still in our program and pay them so that students
• 22:46
Speaker 12: can go to school and work at the same time
• 22:49
Speaker 12: and get those skills and have the jobs that you're
• 22:51
  Speaker 12: talking about.
• 22:53
Speaker 3: So what is this I was reading some of your
• 22:55
Speaker 3: notes here this ten KSB. Did I get that right?
• 22:58
Speaker 3: What is that is?
• 22:59
Speaker 12: It's the ten Dollars in Small Businesses program. It's Goldman
• 23:02
Speaker 12: Sachs program. So Goldman Sachs has done this in lots
• 23:06
Speaker 12: of places around the country, and they actually picked Bridge
• 23:09
Speaker 12: Valley here in West Virginia to try and replicate it.
• 23:12
Speaker 12: And the idea is that we do classes in a
• 23:15
Speaker 12: really accelerated format for small business owners, so you have
• 23:19
Speaker 12: to already own your small business and then the point
• 23:21
Speaker 12: of the program is to help you grow revenue and
• 23:24
Speaker 12: hire more employees. So we have just finished our second
• 23:27
Speaker 12: cohort of ten thousand small businesses business owners, and we
• 23:32
Speaker 12: were actually featured in Working Nations, So we've started to
• 23:34
Speaker 12: see some national press really look at how do we
• 23:37
Speaker 12: help small businesses and how do we help entrepreneurs.
• 23:40
Speaker 3: And what I love about this when you tell us
• 23:42
Speaker 3: these stories, Actor Sax, is that that's happening here in
• 23:44
Speaker 3: West Virginia. You know, we have a national and sometimes
• 23:47
Speaker 3: a worldwide spotlight on what's going on five miles ten
• 23:52
Speaker 3: miles down the road from us here where I am
• 23:53
Speaker 3: in Charleston right now.
• 23:55
Speaker 12: Yeah. Terry, who's running the program is a lifelong resident
• 23:58
Speaker 12: and he's wonderful and so excited about helping small businesses
• 24:02
Speaker 12: be able to grow. So it's been a terrific program.
• 24:05
  Speaker 3: We'll talk a little bit about robotics. You've got a
• 24:09
Speaker 3: robotics program that have gone to Texas for the World Championships.
• 24:12
Speaker 12: We do so this is such a fun program. The
• 24:15
Speaker 12: VEX Robotics is a team, so we do robotics training
• 24:20
Speaker 12: and we do a lot of things in class, but
• 24:22
Speaker 12: VEX is a competition level team where students get together
• 24:26
Speaker 12: and build robots that compete against other teams from around
• 24:30
Speaker 12: the world and the point for the robots. Every year
• 24:34
Speaker 12: the challenge is different. So one year they might say
• 24:36
Speaker 12: you have to get a basketball into the hoop and
• 24:38
Speaker 12: the other team has to try and prevent you from
• 24:40
Speaker 12: getting the basket, but the robot is what's making the baskets.
• 24:44
Speaker 12: Every year the rules become different and complicated and the
• 24:49
Speaker 12: students design a robot for that. And our students, now
• 24:52
Speaker 12: three years in a row have been invited to worlds
• 24:54
Speaker 12: which is such a big deal and we're thrilled for them.
• 24:57
Speaker 3: And you know, again, will the spotlight being all West Virginia,
• 25:00
Speaker 3: I mean, robotics is huge in West Virginia. We not
• 25:04
Speaker 3: just a Bridge valley, but I mean in other places too.
• 25:06
Speaker 3: West Virginia students and instructors have won national awards for robotics.
• 25:12
Speaker 3: Here in Little Old Mountain Mama, West Virginia.
• 25:15
Speaker 12: It's true. The robots that they build are incredible, The
• 25:19
Speaker 12: competitions are amazing, and the robots have so much utility,
• 25:24
Speaker 12: especially in industries like manufacturing and even in healthcare. When
• 25:28
Speaker 12: my dad had cancer, they used a robot to help
• 25:30
Speaker 12: take some of the cancer out. So it's really across
• 25:33
Speaker 12: lots of different fields and such an emergent field.
• 25:36
Speaker 3: Tell us before we let you go about some other
• 25:39
Speaker 3: things that are going on at Bridge Valley that's got
• 25:41
Speaker 3: you excited these days?
• 25:42
Speaker 12: Oh my gosh, there's so much, Dave, What do you say?
• 25:48
Speaker 12: We just got off graduation weekends, so I think I
• 25:51
Speaker 12: still feel a little bit high from that that we
• 25:53
Speaker 12: had hundreds of students Friday night from the college and
• 25:56

• 30:04
Speaker 3: Great to have you here, looking well?
• 30:05
Speaker 16: Nice to be here. You can uh.
• 30:09
Speaker 17: I get these pop ups on my phone. I subscribe
• 30:12
Speaker 17: to several newspapers, and I get Fox News app, and
• 30:18
Speaker 17: I get New York Times app, and we had one
• 30:24
Speaker 17: on here today where Gavin Newsom. You're always telling somebody's
• 30:29
Speaker 17: run for president. He told cities to clean out their
• 30:32
Speaker 17: homeless encampment and just you know, do something about it.
• 30:37
  Speaker 17: I mean, where'd he be?
• 30:39
Speaker 3: That's yeah, I mean that, And that can't go over
• 30:41
Speaker 3: very well in California, I wouldn't think. But but you're
• 30:44
Speaker 3: right because I caught I've caught him on several interview shows,
• 30:47
Speaker 3: and he's been a little bit coy as to you
• 30:50
Speaker 3: know what he's what he's actually going to do. Everybody
• 30:52
Speaker 3: pretty much thinks if he doesn't run for president this time,
• 30:54
Speaker 3: he will next time. But he's he's putting out the
• 30:58
Speaker 3: right message in my opinion, that that if the Democrats
• 31:01
Speaker 3: ever have a chance to ever win anything ever again,
• 31:04
Speaker 3: they've got to distance themselves from the lunatic fringe. And
• 31:07
Speaker 3: he's putting out the right message. But putting out the
• 31:09
Speaker 3: message and actually doing it, Danny, as you know, are
• 31:11
  Speaker 3: two different things.
• 31:11
Speaker 17: Well, San Francisco went down under his leadership. I mean
• 31:17
Speaker 17: that's when it started the downward slide so homeless. He
• 31:22
Speaker 17: bought it to San Francisco when he was mayor.
• 31:25
Speaker 3: You're you're somebody. When you were mayor, you had some
• 31:28
Speaker 3: some issues with with with homelessness. And the city of
• 31:31
Speaker 3: Charleston still has some issues, although from what I gathered,
• 31:34
Speaker 3: not nearly as bad as what it is in Morgantown.
• 31:36
Speaker 3: They had a city council meet, well, they had a
• 31:38
Speaker 3: city the It was on the ballot in Morgantown last
• 31:41
Speaker 3: week to break down these homeless encampments, these tent cities,
• 31:45
Speaker 3: if you will, and the voters, you know, opted to
• 31:48
Speaker 3: go in that in that direction, well, you had issues
• 31:53
Speaker 3: with homeless encampments and with tent cities a little bit
• 31:56
Speaker 3: here in Charleston. I don't think nearly as bad as
• 31:58
Speaker 3: what they had in Morgantown though.
• 31:59
Speaker 17: So, Uh, you're first saying you're dealing with people doing
• 32:03
Speaker 17: have anything to lose, that's your first problem.
• 32:06
  Speaker 7: Uh.
• 32:07
Speaker 17: Now, Courier Street has improved quite a bit since they
• 32:11
Speaker 17: moved Man and Meal out of Saint John's. So where
• 32:16
  Speaker 17: I live, it's gotten a lot better.
• 32:18
Speaker 3: It's gotten a lot better too because here because we
• 32:20
Speaker 3: had a lot we I mean, honestly, Danny, we had
• 32:22
Speaker 3: a lot of issues here. Related had, with all due
• 32:26
Speaker 3: respect to the folks at Man and Meal, we had
• 32:27
Speaker 3: a lot of issues here in the radio ranch in
• 32:29
Speaker 3: our parking lot that's magically went away.
• 32:32
Speaker 17: Well, when I worked here, there was a house across
• 32:35
Speaker 17: the street and the I think Larry Roe's mother lived there.
• 32:42
Speaker 17: I'm not sure, but I think, and she died and
• 32:46
Speaker 17: you could see the the and the people move and
• 32:50
Speaker 17: looking at the house they wanted to, you know, because
• 32:53
  Speaker 17: Saint John's, you're you're you're looking at their back door
• 32:56
Speaker 17: at the front door here. So the Catholic Church brought
• 33:00
Speaker 17: it tore it down. Then now you've got something doable,
• 33:05
Speaker 17: a new building across the street. It's all kept tidy,
• 33:10
  Speaker 17: looks pretty good.
• 33:11
Speaker 3: When you have these issues, Danny, and when you were
• 33:14
Speaker 3: mayor maybe other mayors that you knew, when you're dealing
• 33:17
Speaker 3: with these issues of homelessness, people will say, well, you
• 33:19
Speaker 3: can move them, but it's not going to solve anything
• 33:23
Speaker 3: because you can't get rid of them. I understand what
• 33:27
Speaker 3: they are saying. However, I don't see the defense on
• 33:31
Speaker 3: how you can let lawlessness just run rampant. And I
• 33:36
Speaker 3: don't think, yeah, I mean your heart well, let me
• 33:38
Speaker 3: just say this, your heart bleeds for some of them
• 33:41
Speaker 3: that are out there, some of them, not all.
• 33:43
Speaker 16: People don't believe me when I say this.
• 33:47
Speaker 17: There are people making money off of this, and you
• 33:51
Speaker 17: would have to get those people to work with you
• 33:55
Speaker 17: to give bus tickets to people that are home. Now,
• 34:02
Speaker 17: if you find that they have relatives in other city,
• 34:08
Speaker 17: then you can see if they'll if they're willing to leave,
• 34:12
Speaker 17: and there's some of them that are. That's one way,
• 34:15
Speaker 17: but you have to have willing partners. Second thing, just
• 34:20
Speaker 17: keep moving them. They say, well, I got nowhere to go.
• 34:24
Speaker 17: You're not going to stay here and they go somewhere
• 34:27
Speaker 17: else and I'm going to stay here. Finally, you know,
• 34:30
Speaker 17: they'll either take a bus ticket or you won't see
• 34:33
Speaker 17: them again. But it's a constant battle. And when the
• 34:36
Speaker 17: needles were there, remember Charles's City council voted for the
• 34:40
Speaker 17: needles when I tried to I voted for them in
• 34:43
Speaker 17: the beginning, and then I tried to stop them in
• 34:45
Speaker 17: the city council. They wanted them.
• 34:46
Speaker 3: Why did you vote for them in the beginning, I thought.
• 34:49
Speaker 17: They were talking about one hundred needles a week, and
• 34:53
Speaker 17: then on any given Wednesday they gave out twelve thousand.
• 34:58
Speaker 17: And there is no needle exhame. It was a mill
• 35:01
Speaker 17: and it really almost destroyed this town. But yeah, people
• 35:07
Speaker 17: that when it doesn't reach their neighborhoods, they can virtue
• 35:13
Speaker 17: signal by voting for a needle needle. The one that
• 35:18
Speaker 17: does it right is down here at health right where
• 35:21
Speaker 17: you get a needle for a needle and you're treated
• 35:24
Speaker 17: as a patient. In other words, you go in there
• 35:28
Speaker 17: and you fell out a form and then you're tested
• 35:31
Speaker 17: to see if you have a disease. At Cannall count
• 35:34
Speaker 17: of Health, where they didn't test anybody, the whole time.
• 35:37
Speaker 17: They don't know if a lot of the people and
• 35:40
Speaker 17: I know people that went in there with HEPSI and
• 35:42
Speaker 17: still got needles, Well, they didn't test anybody for aids
• 35:46
Speaker 17: or needles, so they can't say there was an outbreak
• 35:51
Speaker 17: because there wasn't. I mean, they don't know if you don't,
• 35:54
Speaker 17: if you don't have a follow up and down the
• 35:57
Speaker 17: health rate. Thirty percent of the people down there go
• 36:00
Speaker 17: into treatment. They said, well, heck with this man, maybe
• 36:04
Speaker 17: I just want to quit doing this in health right
• 36:06
Speaker 17: will put you in treatment?
• 36:07
Speaker 3: Talking with former Charleston mayor Danny Jones, I want to
• 36:11
Speaker 3: shift gears for a moment. And people have heard me
• 36:14
Speaker 3: say this a lot on the show. It has to
• 36:15
Speaker 3: do with the town Center. And anyone who says that
• 36:20
Speaker 3: thinks that nationwide that shopping malls are dead, it's a
• 36:23
Speaker 3: dying industry. I would say, go to the Huntington Mall
• 36:27
Speaker 3: on Saturday. My wife and I did that. Now, granted
• 36:31
Speaker 3: it was the Saturday before Mother's Day, Saturday afternoon, one
• 36:35
Speaker 3: two o'clock. My wife and I are there at the
• 36:37
Speaker 3: Honeys Mall, just kind of looking around a little bit,
• 36:40
Speaker 3: and I mean it was packed. It was bustling it was.
• 36:44
Speaker 3: And yeah, again it was the Saturday before Mother's Day.
• 36:46
Speaker 3: I get that there's activities going on in there. There's
• 36:49
Speaker 3: someone we're doing something with the kids, and they got
• 36:51
Speaker 3: an MC up there doing this. There's new stores up
• 36:53
Speaker 3: to the Dave and Busters and so on and so forth.
• 36:55
Speaker 3: And again I'm not I just throw that out there
• 36:59
Speaker 3: to say that shopping malls are not dead. There's always
• 37:04
Speaker 3: going to be a market for people that just like
• 37:06
Speaker 3: to loaf and look around at stuff. But I'm giving
• 37:11
Speaker 3: you a magic wand today, Danny, all right, you're not
• 37:13
Speaker 3: the mayor. You're just in a make believe scenario here.
• 37:17
Speaker 3: You can fix the town center.
• 37:18
Speaker 16: Get rid of the owner.
• 37:20
Speaker 17: Well okay, but now it may be too late because
• 37:23
Speaker 17: I would have kept if I'd had to give him
• 37:26
Speaker 17: free rent, I would have kept the or cut their
• 37:29
Speaker 17: rent to keep. There's two rest to Tidewater. Yeah, I'd
• 37:34
Speaker 17: have kept them there. I brought anything that brings traffic
• 37:38
Speaker 17: and uh the uh how are you going to get
• 37:41
Speaker 17: Starbucks get away from you? I mean, what what kind
• 37:45
Speaker 17: of deals that? But see when he came in, he
• 37:48
Speaker 17: took out all the chairs, or almost all the chairs,
• 37:51
Speaker 17: so you you can't go in there and leisurely have
• 37:53
Speaker 17: a cup of coffee. It was it was hard to
• 37:56
Speaker 17: meet in there and sit in the comfortable chairs. He
• 37:59
Speaker 17: took out all the vibrating chairs. He didn't want anybody
• 38:03
Speaker 17: in them. And I used to go in there and
• 38:07
Speaker 17: put some money in them when my back would bother me.
• 38:10
  Speaker 16: And so.
• 38:12
Speaker 17: I'd use the vibrating chair. But you'd have to get
• 38:16
Speaker 17: rid of the current owner.
• 38:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, man, I don't know how you get anybody.
• 38:19
  Speaker 16: You don't.
• 38:20
Speaker 3: I don't know how you do that.
• 38:22
Speaker 17: I mean, it's well, when the last person leaves, they
• 38:25
Speaker 17: turned out the lights.
• 38:26
Speaker 16: That's the only way.
• 38:27
  Speaker 5: I mean.
• 38:27
Speaker 3: The mayor has said on the show that she thinks
• 38:30
Speaker 3: there is a future for the Town Center, but it's
• 38:34
Speaker 3: not good. I mean, nobody know. Nobody thinks it's going
• 38:36
Speaker 3: to be what it was in nineteen eighty eight, okay.
• 38:38
Speaker 16: For example it opened Christmas two.
• 38:41
Speaker 3: Okay, or any anytime through really the early to what
• 38:44
Speaker 3: mid two thousands, maybe early twenty ten's or something that
• 38:47
Speaker 3: actually nobody thinks it's going to be that again.
• 38:50
Speaker 17: I went down there at four o'clock in the morning
• 38:52
Speaker 17: on twenty thirteen. Place was bustling. Went down there.
• 38:57
Speaker 3: At four am. Was at like four am, like Black
• 39:00
Speaker 3: Friday kind of stuff or it felt good?
• 39:02
Speaker 16: Yeah, okay, it was Yeah, it was Black Friday.
• 39:07
Speaker 17: And then on I went down our twenty fourteen same
• 39:10
Speaker 17: day on a Friday, slow walking and sad singing. Yeah,
• 39:15
Speaker 17: it was just to change that one year.
• 39:18
Speaker 3: But the mayor getting back to a mayor good when
• 39:20
Speaker 3: she has said on this show and another other places,
• 39:23
Speaker 3: Danny that she sees a future for the Town Center,
• 39:26
Speaker 3: but it may not be as it was back then.
• 39:28
Speaker 3: It may be repurposed. It may do you know, maybe
• 39:31
Speaker 3: some shops, but also with something that could kind of
• 39:34
Speaker 3: play off the proposed Capitol Sports Complex if we get
• 39:36
Speaker 3: to the Capitol Sports Complex, which it's kind of the
• 39:39
Speaker 3: project is kind of up in the air right now.
• 39:41
Speaker 3: I think it's going to happen to beyond talking to
• 39:43
Speaker 3: Commissioner Selango, Tenant and Wheeler, I think it's going to happen.
• 39:46
Speaker 3: I don't know what it's going to be as grand
• 39:48
Speaker 3: as what they thought it was going to be, but
• 39:49
Speaker 3: so better than nothing, I'll admit that. But do you
• 39:53
Speaker 3: see a way forward for the Town Center if it
• 39:55
Speaker 3: were maybe repurposed into something.
• 39:57
Speaker 16: Else, you might have tear it down. You might.
• 40:03
Speaker 17: And you got a lot of property there and you
• 40:07
Speaker 17: could build something else, but.
• 40:12
  Speaker 16: I don't. I don't know that you're going to get
• 40:14
Speaker 16: retail to go in there.
• 40:16
  Speaker 7: Uh.
• 40:16
Speaker 3: We had a texture that said, I don't think the
• 40:17
Speaker 3: Honeyson Mall is actually a mall. It's an indoor multiplex
• 40:20
Speaker 3: and a multi acred shopping center. And I had the
• 40:24
Speaker 3: mayor of Barbersville on the midday show, Christadum, great Guy,
• 40:27
Speaker 3: had him on the show a couple of weeks ago
• 40:29
Speaker 3: in the Midday Show, and he talked about what they're
• 40:32
Speaker 3: building there. They're doing a training facility on the outside.
• 40:35
Speaker 3: It's on the property of them all. But again, as
• 40:38
Speaker 3: my wife and I were talking the other day, you
• 40:40
Speaker 3: got and I don't know how many people are actually
• 40:42
Speaker 3: going to be in there, but you got all of
• 40:44
Speaker 3: these folks. I think it's in the medical community. He said,
• 40:46
Speaker 3: they're gonna be doing training there. They're gonna they're gonna
• 40:49
Speaker 3: have time on their hands. They're gonna go to lunch.
• 40:51
Speaker 3: Oh sure, they're gonna they're gonna spend a little time
• 40:53
Speaker 3: in and and go to Macy's or go to David
• 40:55
Speaker 3: Busters or whatever the case.
• 40:56
Speaker 17: Nothing to draw people like people, and Macy's is on
• 41:00
  Speaker 17: the downward slope. So if you've got a Macy's, you've
• 41:02
Speaker 17: got a good mall.
• 41:05
Speaker 3: Text says, how can those manipulating this homeless issue to
• 41:08
Speaker 3: make money not be charged with intentionally destroying our cities
• 41:11
Speaker 3: such as infrastructures. As long as there are no consequences
• 41:15
Speaker 3: or making examples of these people, it's going to continue
• 41:17
Speaker 3: and it's going to get worse.
• 41:19
Speaker 17: Well, get answered your own question, But there's no law
• 41:22
Speaker 17: against helping them homeless. I mean, you know, when they
• 41:27
Speaker 17: want to get people find for panhandling, can't do it?
• 41:35
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 41:35
Speaker 3: Well, and one of the issues that you run into is,
• 41:39
Speaker 3: and we talked about it many times on the show
• 41:41
Speaker 3: the cities that have tried to do these things, is
• 41:43
Speaker 3: what exactly is panhandling? Well, is panhandling a less than
• 41:47
Speaker 3: desirable person coming up and asking you for money? Or
• 41:50
Speaker 3: is it the Little League team standing in a busy
• 41:54
Speaker 3: intersection collecting money or the local fire department. It's a
• 41:58
Speaker 3: and the courts have ruled that it's considered free speech. Yeah,
• 42:01
Speaker 3: if I'm walking out of Adelphia or whatever and somebody
• 42:04
Speaker 3: comes up to me and ask me, you know, hey, buddy,
• 42:07
Speaker 3: do you have any change. Courts have ruled on that
• 42:09
Speaker 3: there's nothing they can do about it.
• 42:11
Speaker 17: There's nothing nobody can ask. Nobody can be penalized for
• 42:15
Speaker 17: asking you if you will give them some money.
• 42:17
Speaker 16: It just doesn't work. Now.
• 42:18
Speaker 17: Aggressive panhandling where they touch you or something. Yeah, yeah,
• 42:21
  Speaker 17: that's a different. That's a little different. Yeah.
• 42:23
Speaker 3: Well, you know, you go up and you touch a
• 42:25
Speaker 3: lot of West Virginia good old boys. You're gonna wish
• 42:27
Speaker 3: you hadn't the good old girls. Dave Allen showing five
• 42:30

• 46:27
Speaker 3: is here with us.
• 46:28
Speaker 17: You know, yesterday at I go work out between eight
• 46:32
Speaker 17: and nine and I come home and watch that ABC
• 46:34
Speaker 17: News thing have an hour show yep, and it's with
• 46:39
  Speaker 17: George Chef Monopolis.
• 46:40
Speaker 16: But he's never there.
• 46:41
Speaker 3: He's like the Johnny Carson, He's never there.
• 46:44
Speaker 17: You've got Martha Raddis or Jonathan carl But yesterday they
• 46:48
Speaker 17: had Martha Raddits. It was a whole hour on the
• 46:51
Speaker 17: Pope on New Pope. And these are people that really
• 46:55
Speaker 17: don't like Trump. You figure they'd give a little time.
• 46:59
Speaker 3: I was surprised. I watched that show every week to Danny,
• 47:01
Speaker 3: and I was really surprised at the entire show. I mean, look,
• 47:04
Speaker 3: I'm not saying it's not newsworthy, but that they that
• 47:07
Speaker 3: they devoted an entire show to it. I thought that
• 47:09
Speaker 3: was little intry. What do you think about the New
• 47:11
Speaker 3: Pope being American? Because I'm gonna tell you it shocked
• 47:13
Speaker 3: the crap out of me.
• 47:14
  Speaker 16: I think it's neat.
• 47:15
  Speaker 3: I'm not against it. I just thought I just a
• 47:20
Speaker 3: lot of wisdom, a lot of conventional wisdom of which
• 47:22
Speaker 3: I don't have. Of people, Danny said, there's no way. Well,
• 47:26
Speaker 3: we never had an American pope, but we're certainly with
• 47:29
Speaker 3: the way America is viewed now. And I'm not anti
• 47:32
Speaker 3: American by any stretch of the imagination, but the way
• 47:35
Speaker 3: America is viewed now by some people around the world,
• 47:38
Speaker 3: there's no way. There's no way that the pope will
• 47:40
Speaker 3: be American. By gosh, he's from Chicago, and he's a
• 47:44
Speaker 3: white Sox fan, not a Cubs fan. He's a white
• 47:46
Speaker 3: Sox fan and welcoming pope leam well.
• 47:50
Speaker 17: And when he he's not a fan of Donald Trump. Yeah,
• 47:54
Speaker 17: and if he wants to speak speak to power in
• 48:00
Speaker 17: the name of him speaking the Trump, he'll speak it
• 48:03
Speaker 17: in plain English, unlike the other popes. In other words,
• 48:07
Speaker 17: you'll be able to talk just like you or me
• 48:10
Speaker 17: when you hear the guy speak England. But a white
• 48:15
Speaker 17: Sox fan, South South Chicago, it's hard to believe.
• 48:21
Speaker 5: It really is that a.
• 48:22
Speaker 3: Textures as Dave looks like the pressure on Trump and
• 48:24
Speaker 3: the Republicans to drop tariffs. Working Democrats were right on
• 48:27
Speaker 3: Trump's failed policies, so the announcement was made, is that
• 48:30
Speaker 3: the between China. The joint statement came out the US
• 48:34
Speaker 3: and China issuing the statement saying they've reached an agreement
• 48:36
Speaker 3: to cut reciprocal tariffs for ninety days.
• 48:39
Speaker 17: Let me tell you about an interview I saw last
• 48:41
Speaker 17: week which pleasantly surprised me. I watched Brett Bear every night,
• 48:46
Speaker 17: the only Iron news I watched on Fox. He had
• 48:49
Speaker 17: Bernie Sanders on there for an interview. Bernie Sanders, unlike
• 48:53
Speaker 17: folks on the left, he will go on Fox. He's
• 48:56
Speaker 17: at town hall on Fox. And he gave Brett Bay,
• 49:00
Speaker 17: we are a good interview and he said, look, he says,
• 49:04
Speaker 17: he said, what do you think about the terroriffs? He says, well,
• 49:06
  Speaker 17: I'm for some tariff, he said, but I can't. I
• 49:10
Speaker 17: can't just not everywhere everything all at once. I mean,
• 49:15
Speaker 17: you start with China. And it made sense to me.
• 49:20
Speaker 17: And Bernie Sanders doesn't make a lot. He didn't make
• 49:23
Speaker 17: a lot of sense to me often, but it was
• 49:25
Speaker 17: a very cogent. It was very It was a good interview.
• 49:29
Speaker 17: By the way, it's good.
• 49:31
Speaker 3: Tex says, the Katari plane is technically being given to
• 49:33
Speaker 3: the Department of Defense. Then it has been transferred to
• 49:36
Speaker 3: the Trump Presidential Library for his personal use after office.
• 49:40
Speaker 3: You all are splitting hairs saying it's not his personal plane,
• 49:43
Speaker 3: but he'll be the only one using it during and
• 49:44
  Speaker 3: after his term.
• 49:46
Speaker 17: Okay, Hawk, accept that. I just know what the law
• 49:49
Speaker 17: was as I understood it. I'm not splitting hairs. If
• 49:52
Speaker 17: he can get a plane, let him get a plane.
• 49:54
Speaker 17: Doesn't no skin all of my nose.
• 49:56
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 49:56
Speaker 3: There's another one that says that the Royal family offered
• 49:58
Speaker 3: the jumbo jet to the Department of to serve as
• 50:01
Speaker 3: Air Force one. He'll use the four hundred million dollar
• 50:03
Speaker 3: Boeing seven forty seven eight jumbo jets till the end
• 50:06
Speaker 3: of his term, and then it would be given to
• 50:07
Speaker 3: his presidential library. That's what the text says. Here Texas,
• 50:13
Speaker 3: I love how people think folks are getting rich out
• 50:15
Speaker 3: here by helping the homeless. People need to stop complaining
• 50:18
Speaker 3: and start helping. Maybe that would help solve the problem.
• 50:21
Speaker 16: Sure, invite them into your home. There you go.
• 50:23
  Speaker 5: That's what I've said.
• 50:24
Speaker 3: That's an old argument from people on our side. But
• 50:26
Speaker 3: I'll say that every time.
• 50:28
Speaker 16: Let them drink your liquor, let them come to your home.
• 50:30
Speaker 3: I mean, you know your carpet, Yeah, open the Yeah,
• 50:34
Speaker 3: that's set your house on fire.
• 50:36
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 50:37
Speaker 3: Comes a different story then, Texas. If the Democrats don't
• 50:42
Speaker 3: stop catering to homeless and other vulnerable people, I'll have
• 50:45
Speaker 3: no choice but to support a party that fully endorses
• 50:47
Speaker 3: political violence, unlawful deportations, illegal and dangerous destruction of federal
• 50:52
Speaker 3: and state programs via illegal funding cuts, and punishing free speech. Man,
• 50:55
Speaker 3: those libs are so extreme. It's like they pardon fifteen
• 50:58
Speaker 3: hundred criminals and commuted sentin. This is a sedationist. Dave
• 51:02
Speaker 3: and Danny have such high moral standards, pathetic Republicans and
• 51:06
Speaker 3: fake independence like Danny and Dave have no honor, You, sir,
• 51:10
  Speaker 3: have no honor.
• 51:10
Speaker 17: All right, Well, I did the best I couldn't do.
• 51:13
Speaker 17: I'll be seventy five in August, so I guess you
• 51:17
  Speaker 17: know I'm on down, He'll.
• 51:19
Speaker 3: Tex says Danny. The best show on Fox's Greg Gutfield
• 51:23
Speaker 3: week nights at ten.
• 51:24
  Speaker 16: No, not me.
• 51:25
Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing I like I do like about
• 51:27
Speaker 3: Gutfield is he does have a sense of humor. Unlike
• 51:30
Speaker 3: most people on Fox News, he can't actually laugh a
• 51:33
Speaker 3: little bit. I'll say that.
• 51:34
Speaker 17: Quick story about Tyros, if you got a minute, all right, yeah, go.
• 51:38
Speaker 17: Tyris used to be a bodyguard for Soup Dog, and
• 51:42
Speaker 17: he said all the bodyguards know each other, hang around
• 51:44
Speaker 17: with each other, and the worst person the guards was
• 51:48
  Speaker 17: Ellen DeGeneres.
• 51:49
Speaker 16: No really everybody said that. Yeah, if you had to,
• 51:53
Speaker 16: if you had to work security for her.
• 51:54
Speaker 3: All right, tj what you got on the show, you

Speaker 21: today than we could possibly talk about in a year.
• 52:09
Speaker 21: You got the China trade deal, prescription drug EO, the plane.
• 52:12
Speaker 21: Republicans last night releasing a budget dave eight hundred and
• 52:15
  Speaker 21: eighty billion dollars.
• 52:16

• 52:20
  Speaker 3: saying right now.
• 52:21
Speaker 21: Out of the house.
• 52:21
