- 0:13Speaker 3: Jason Hich my note and I'll get out your man bars.
- 0:18Speaker 3: It's great to have your company this Monday afternoon, the
- 0:20Speaker 3: fifteenth of July twenty twenty four. And you, my friends,
- 0:24Speaker 3: are listening to the Big Show brought you by Night.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Today.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Are you going to take this seriously or not? Keasy?
- 0:37Speaker 3: I just feel like because you always sort of wax
- 0:40Speaker 3: lyrical about what a great singer you are do I
- 0:44Speaker 3: and yet every time we try and do harmony, I mean,
- 0:46Speaker 3: when pat Son does it, it's beautiful.
- 0:48Speaker 1: What I was trying to do there, Jase was I
- 0:50Speaker 1: was at first trying to mimic Mogi's voice right, so
- 0:53Speaker 1: that people would briefly think that he's back from his
- 0:55Speaker 1: whatever crazy sickness he's got. Yes, But then I realized
- 0:59Speaker 1: I couldn't nail it, so just went sort of weird, Yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 1: like cancling. You're right, thanks for bringing that up.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Well, no, you say you can sing. I've never seen
- 1:05Speaker 3: any evidence or heard any evidence of it.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You've never seen evidence of me singing, yeah.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Change that, so as you can imagine, no Mogi again today.
- 1:14Speaker 3: We're very, very confident he'll be back shortly, are we.
- 1:21Speaker 3: I don't know, but hopefully he's on the men. I
- 1:24Speaker 3: know that much for sure.
- 1:25Speaker 1: That's why he's gone to the doctors. They've thrown a
- 1:27Speaker 1: handful of pills and medications at him and he's confident
- 1:30Speaker 1: he'll be back on deck soon. So yeah, in the meantime,
- 1:33Speaker 1: we'll just keep plugging allway.
- 1:34Speaker 3: How are you going? He's he quite a weekend, wasn't it, mate?
- 1:37Speaker 1: Oh great weekend at the Batch, Jason excited to get
- 1:39Speaker 1: into that. I'm well rested now. Yes, I was knaked
- 1:43Speaker 1: when I got home though, Yes.
- 1:44Speaker 3: So I was, I mate, to be honest, But I
- 1:46Speaker 3: tell you what, massive showy head. We've got a lot
- 1:49Speaker 3: going on. We will discuss what happened in the Batch weekend. Yeah,
- 1:53Speaker 3: and I can tell you I'm still fuman.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah. If you haven't seen the updates on Instagram, will be.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I think you went on that shortly. We've also got
- 2:01Speaker 1: another chance for you to win, either a trip to
- 2:03Speaker 1: go to Bathurst or the NRL Grand Final with would
- 2:06Speaker 1: you rather that? It'll be happening in the next thirty
- 2:07Speaker 1: minutes plus Hoidy Jay's got some rugby union chess.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Oh, I don't forget your wife's dilemma. Yeah, looking forward
- 2:15Speaker 3: to that. I love helping her. Helping her, Yeah, you
- 2:19Speaker 3: know with her life and stuff. Ah, because she calls
- 2:21Speaker 3: me all the time. See, I'm going, well, we.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Don't have to do that when we could do that
- 2:24Speaker 1: another time.
- 2:24Speaker 3: No, we can give what you do that one. In
- 2:26Speaker 3: the meantime, he assays them of it.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Down the whole Achy Big Shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike
- 2:32Speaker 2: Minogue and Keezy.
- 2:33Speaker 3: This indeed Pluto there on the radio Hodarchy Big Show
- 2:36Speaker 3: this Monday afternoon. Great to have your company on this
- 2:38Speaker 3: Maggot Monday. Oh you text us three four eight three
- 2:41Speaker 3: for Maggot Monday. By the way, that's right.

- 2:46Speaker 1: bit of a maggot text through three four eight three.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You can win a fifty on night and day voucher.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Now, as we've been talking about over this last sort
- 2:52Speaker 3: of this last week, Kezy, we'd organized will I'd organize
- 2:58Speaker 3: day Big show weekend at Mate at the Hoity j
- 3:03Speaker 3: Family Batch.
- 3:04Speaker 1: That's right, So this is bats chat. Yes, Ah, you're
- 3:07Speaker 1: excited about it? Were're you? Jason?
- 3:08Speaker 3: I was massively excited about it. Man. So that day
- 3:12Speaker 3: that we were on the Friday, I went to Pharaoh's
- 3:15Speaker 3: and just I went, I cut loose, kezy.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Yeah. And Pharaoh's is a sort of supermarket that you
- 3:20Speaker 1: go to if you are rich. Yes, and it has
- 3:23Speaker 1: all your fine artisan cheeses and breads.
- 3:25Speaker 3: In your olives and all that sort of stuff.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So how much did you spend?
- 3:28Speaker 3: Could I just make the point by the way that
- 3:30Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Rich, No, but you wanted to treat us.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I wanted to treat you.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, and we appreciated that. So you're excited.
- 3:36Speaker 1: You spent over one hundred.
- 3:38Speaker 3: And two hundred and twenty thirty.
- 3:40Speaker 1: On cheese, chicken, all sorts of stuff to feed us
- 3:44Speaker 1: for the weekends.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Organic bacon, eggs, all that sort of jazz.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it was going to be awesome.
- 3:49Speaker 3: So we get into work and Mogi's here and he
- 3:52Speaker 3: was always going to come along as well, and it
- 3:54Speaker 3: was like, oh awesome. But then as we were sitting
- 3:56Speaker 3: out in the office there on the Friday afternoon, Maggie went,
- 3:59Speaker 3: you know what, I don't think I'm going to make it.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I can't do it.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I can't do it. And it was like, probably a
- 4:05Speaker 3: good call Mogi, because she's a bit of a mission
- 4:07Speaker 3: getting out there.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. So an hour and a half without traffic. Yes,
- 4:11Speaker 1: So we left at seven we you know, got as
- 4:15Speaker 1: far as Wahuku there, stopped at New World, brought about
- 4:17Speaker 1: one hundred bucks more food for platters and lunch and
- 4:20Speaker 1: Brecki's and all sorts of stuff. Got to the batch
- 4:22Speaker 1: half an hour later. It was dark. You went ahead
- 4:26Speaker 1: first in the car because you have to drive on
- 4:28Speaker 1: the sand. Yes, and we walked. When we arrived there,
- 4:31Speaker 1: we were greeted by an effing and jeffing Hoidy j
- 4:34Speaker 1: on the phone to his lovely partner, saying, there are
- 4:38Speaker 1: two couples at the batch already.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Let me explain this to you. So we arrive at
- 4:44Speaker 3: the car park where you can part your car off
- 4:45Speaker 3: the beach. I said to the Fellers, chuck all your
- 4:48Speaker 3: stuff in my car. I'll drive up to the batch.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Ye open her up, turn it on and you can
- 4:54Speaker 3: only get to the batch at low tide. So I'm
- 4:56Speaker 3: driving along the beach at low tide and I'm looking
- 4:59Speaker 3: over to where our family batches, and I'm thinking to myself,
- 5:04Speaker 3: are the lights on? Because she was very dark obviously,
- 5:08Speaker 3: and I was like And as I got closer, and I went, oh, no,
- 5:11Speaker 3: it's just the nate because there's there's like a gathering
- 5:13Speaker 3: of batches in that area. Oh no, it's the neighbor's batch.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Thank for that. Yeah. And then as I got closer,
- 5:20Speaker 3: sorry but slow, I realized that someone was in the
- 5:26Speaker 3: batch and my heart dropped through my nurse ow into
- 5:34Speaker 3: my feet. I arrived at the batch, I got out
- 5:37Speaker 3: of the car, I slammed the door. Yeah was effing,
- 5:42Speaker 3: and Jeff and seeing the whole place lit up, walk
- 5:46Speaker 3: over to the ranch slider. Knock on the ranch slider.
- 5:50Speaker 3: It's opened by a couple and they were like, oh hello,
- 5:54Speaker 3: and I was like hello, like our couple too, yeah, yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 3: and then you And then she said, oh I recognize
- 6:06Speaker 3: you and I said yes, I'm son in law. Yeah,
- 6:12Speaker 3: And she went all right, what are you doing here?
- 6:17Speaker 3: And I said, well, I booked this place two weeks ago.
- 6:20Speaker 3: What are you doing here? And I said, oh, we
- 6:23Speaker 3: just booked it this week and I went, what.
- 6:26Speaker 1: A uh.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Disaster? And then he said, Oh, that's unfortunate. We'll just
- 6:37Speaker 3: have to try and make it work somehow, and I went,
- 6:41Speaker 3: you are kidding me. Fortunately this sort of two living areas,
- 6:51Speaker 3: there's not.
- 6:51Speaker 1: A living area and like a bedroom with an on suite,
- 6:54Speaker 1: bedroom with an on suite, and we were we were
- 6:57Speaker 1: can find myself you Pugsalmer can find two one day bedroom.
- 7:00Speaker 1: We had it to our own bathroom, which was very nice,
- 7:02Speaker 1: but it was very much not what you were picturing,
- 7:04Speaker 1: no Ah. And it's safe to actually question, did this
- 7:08Speaker 1: whole situation did it bug you? Jace?
- 7:11Speaker 3: You know it bugged me?
- 7:12Speaker 1: Keith, it did, yes, bugging.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I would also like to make the point that that's
- 7:20Speaker 3: the first time that has happened in twenty years of
- 7:23Speaker 3: going to the batch Wow.
- 7:25Speaker 1: So the next morning we packed up went home. He
- 7:29Speaker 1: j was fuman still as too. Yeah we still had
- 7:33Speaker 1: a great time though Jason and Pugson.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Yeah we did, but I'm still fuman.
- 7:39Speaker 2: The Hurdarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yes, indeed the Cranberry's there on the radio Hodarchy Big
- 7:47Speaker 3: Show this Monday afternoon, twenty seven minutes past four o'clock.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Still know Mogie at the moment, but we've got fingers
- 7:52Speaker 3: crossed he'll be back soone.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he he's just been giving a whole lot of
- 7:57Speaker 1: meds and hopefully he'll be back on deck soon. Whatever
- 7:59Speaker 1: he's got sounds bloody nasty, yes, indeed, and stead at
- 8:03Speaker 1: the moment, we've got pugsn who's just slipped in. Pugs,
- 8:06Speaker 1: you were with us at Jase's batch at the weekend, weren't.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 8:08Speaker 1: I was, and I had a blast. Yeah, it was
- 8:11Speaker 1: a great time. It was great. We had a great
- 8:12Speaker 1: time regardless. Few things though, Jace, I just like to
- 8:15Speaker 1: bring up about you and the way you operate that
- 8:17Speaker 1: I noticed and Pugs, I'm not sure if you agreed.
- 8:19Speaker 1: First one would be you said, look, follow me to
- 8:23Speaker 1: the batch, and I was like, yeah, it's fine. You
- 8:25Speaker 1: go in the carry head me and Pugs will follow you.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I'll be able to keep up with your no worries
- 8:29Speaker 1: at all. You then drove as if you were intentionally
- 8:32Speaker 1: trying to lose someone who was tailing you one hundred percent.
- 8:36Speaker 1: You would like we were in on the motorway. Just
- 8:39Speaker 1: when I was behind you in the lane, you'd flick
- 8:40Speaker 1: your indicator on for one second sharply pull out into
- 8:43Speaker 1: the next lane and then guess it, Meanwhile that gap
- 8:46Speaker 1: is closed and I can't pull out behind you, and
- 8:47Speaker 1: so I'm like left in the in the dust.
- 8:49Speaker 4: And might I add there are a couple of faky's
- 8:51Speaker 4: there where you indicator went to go on the land
- 8:53Speaker 4: and then changed your mind and then jump back into
- 8:55Speaker 4: the original lane.
- 8:56Speaker 1: It was very hard to keep up with you, Jase.
- 8:58Speaker 1: What do you got to say about that?
- 8:59Speaker 3: Nothing cool?
- 9:00Speaker 4: And also can I just add one in here? You
- 9:02Speaker 4: know that whole yarn about what you like to do
- 9:04Speaker 4: on long drives where you pretend that these missiles flying at.
- 9:07Speaker 3: You yeares and you go to douche Did you miss me? Yeah?
- 9:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like we were the missile and you
- 9:13Speaker 4: were trying to get you and you were going to
- 9:15Speaker 4: dosh you miss me?
- 9:17Speaker 1: Turning corners.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I actually thought I did a pretty good job of
- 9:19Speaker 3: trying to keep you in. And it's very hard to
- 9:23Speaker 3: know in the darkness with light shining everywhere, who the
- 9:27Speaker 3: bloody hell is who?
- 9:28Speaker 1: Yes, So just so in that situation, you go, I'll
- 9:30Speaker 1: just drive nice and smooth.
- 9:31Speaker 3: But we had a plan B, which was whatever happens,
- 9:34Speaker 3: we made a new world at waouku.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Yes, so, and then after that it was fine. So
- 9:38Speaker 1: it was the first thing I wanted to bring up.
- 9:39Speaker 1: The second thing I wanted to bring up was pugsn
- 9:42Speaker 1: how many times did Jasco wheeze?
- 9:45Speaker 4: Oh my god, we need a day and load for
- 9:49Speaker 4: Hoidy Jay's prostate wheeze action.
- 9:52Speaker 3: It was pretty bad out the gate because I just
- 9:55Speaker 3: had no patience for having a full bladder.
- 9:58Speaker 4: So I'm literally, I'm this is not an exaggeration. It
- 10:01Speaker 4: was about seven whe's by the time we recorded the
- 10:03Speaker 4: batch files, which you were hear on the batch files, and.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Pugs and I had probably gone once by then. Yeah,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and you've done about seven.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but you've got you've got younger you know, we tubes.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Oh, we've got very youthful weed tubes.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 1: At the night though, when we finally went to bed,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I reckon, you would have done about fourteen peace. I agree. Yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 1: And that's not even We're not hamming it up for
- 10:24Speaker 1: at all. So that's just one other thing I want
- 10:26Speaker 1: to bring up. And the third thing, Pugs. Yeah, it
- 10:28Speaker 1: got to three am and you and I hid over
- 10:33Speaker 1: You and I hopped in our sleeping bags and we
- 10:35Speaker 1: were in bed, and we were quite clearly ready to
- 10:37Speaker 1: go to sleep, and Hoidi J's got the lights on
- 10:40Speaker 1: and he's sitting in the corner by himself and not
- 10:43Speaker 1: at all looking to go to sleep. It kept us
- 10:45Speaker 1: up for another hour just talking absolute garbage to us.
- 10:50Speaker 1: To be fair, we we had a pretty good yarn
- 10:53Speaker 1: in the chair. It was lovely. You are put on
- 10:55Speaker 1: some of your classical.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Music that I've already seen to you before, which you've
- 10:59Speaker 3: seen to me before.
- 11:00Speaker 1: It was a great song.
- 11:01Speaker 4: You did turn it up too loud, and Chris, and
- 11:03Speaker 4: Chris did ask you to turn that if and off
- 11:07Speaker 4: went from a sleeping bag and it over his face.
- 11:11Speaker 3: And I knew that it would do Keysy's hidden too, Yeah,
- 11:13Speaker 3: and you know, just quiet.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And now sleeping begs trying to go to sleep.
- 11:17Speaker 4: It's three thirty am and you blast the classical music
- 11:20Speaker 4: and then I go.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Jas, why don't you check on some deft tones man?
- 11:23Speaker 4: And it was all over from their deaft tones firing up.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Christmas passed off on a sleeping bag.
- 11:28Speaker 1: And then you had the audacity to finally go to
- 11:30Speaker 1: bed and snore really loudly. You you were honks showing away.
- 11:35Speaker 3: There to be fear. You guys snored too.
- 11:39Speaker 4: I know I did because I caught myself and woke
- 11:42Speaker 4: myself up. And when I can't get.
- 11:45Speaker 3: That's easy because I woke up if and a jiff
- 11:48Speaker 3: and still going ah, and you were chain sawing.
- 11:52Speaker 1: It was really Yeah, I messed that, Yeah, because she
- 11:56Speaker 1: was snoring too. Yeah, but at least I was honest
- 11:59Speaker 1: about that. I knew that I did. Well, this is
- 12:01Speaker 1: all just like discovery from one single night being together,
- 12:05Speaker 1: just things I had noticed. Yeah, Yeah, I forgot about
- 12:07Speaker 1: the classical music that was out the game. That was
- 12:09Speaker 1: such a point. The strings were stringing.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Man, yeah, beautiful, I you know, but we've got to
- 12:15Speaker 3: add to that too. We were all just in one
- 12:18Speaker 3: little room together proximity, and I like to pace and
- 12:22Speaker 3: walk around and go out into the deck which you were,
- 12:25Speaker 3: the beach and you know that sort of stuff.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And the next morning I've just forgot about this. Obviously,
- 12:30Speaker 1: Jace took the curtain off the railing so that there's
- 12:33Speaker 1: no way to block the sunlight in the morning, So
- 12:35Speaker 1: six am the sun wakes us all up. Jace up first,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and then every time we went to the toilet, which
- 12:41Speaker 1: was like four times, he stood on my mattress, which
- 12:44Speaker 1: meant I sort of tilted slightly. Every single with your
- 12:47Speaker 1: head was up there as well.
- 12:49Speaker 3: There was no way for me to get through locked
- 12:52Speaker 3: the floor anyway.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Great night it was, in all honesty, I had an
- 12:57Speaker 4: absolute rabber night.
- 12:58Speaker 1: It was great and pug Sun is officially released now
- 13:01Speaker 1: a batch special and was asked about midnight on the
- 13:04Speaker 1: Friday Night Oh God, search Huducky Big Show we get
- 13:09Speaker 1: your podcasts from to find that and also listen out

- 15:48Speaker 1: That thing we're like So the companies that own fleets
- 15:51Speaker 1: they can trick your vehicles and they know what speed
- 15:53Speaker 1: you go.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Oh good stuff mate. Okay, Cole. Would you rather the
- 16:00Speaker 3: NRL or Bathhurst?
- 16:04Speaker 4: It'd have to be Bathurst?
- 16:06Speaker 1: Bath This two for bathist one for an RL.
- 16:08Speaker 3: There you go, keasy?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Hell yeah all right Cole. You stay on the line, mates,
- 16:11Speaker 1: and pugs aren't chuck in the drawer, right.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Thanks mate. Good on your jun oh Cole. Sorry, your
- 16:18Speaker 3: massive backbone.
- 16:19Speaker 1: E road installer very confusing. I was trying to figure
- 16:24Speaker 1: out what it was like a special road that only
- 16:25Speaker 1: evs can go on or right that. Yeah, but it
- 16:28Speaker 1: makes sense now, So that's two for Bathurst. Those numbers
- 16:31Speaker 1: slowly catching up to NRL. And if you're sad you
- 16:33Speaker 1: missed out, don't worry. Plenty more chances to win. Just
- 16:36Speaker 1: make sure you stay listening radio.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Was John saying that Cole's saying about that that heat.
- 16:42Speaker 3: They track company vehicles how fast they're going and so forth.
- 16:46Speaker 1: It's like the things that we've got on the h
- 16:47Speaker 1: ducky which are.
- 16:48Speaker 3: A massive pain in the arse. Is the point I
- 16:50Speaker 3: was going to make.
- 16:51Speaker 1: So if you're ever following the darky ute and we're
- 16:55Speaker 1: going exactly thirty in a roadwork area with two hundred
- 16:58Speaker 1: cars behind us, it's because pugs aren't too afraid to
- 17:00Speaker 1: break the speed limit and get in trouble with our
- 17:03Speaker 1: office manager.
- 17:03Speaker 3: And the irony is is that you know, Pug sun
- 17:07Speaker 3: lights to put the hammer to the floor. And just so,
- 17:10Speaker 3: it really is Efan and Jeff and they're having to
- 17:12Speaker 3: keep to the old speed likit.
- 17:14Speaker 1: That's right, you've really got the shackles on the old stallion.
- 17:17Speaker 1: But hey, shout out to coal. Got to earn a
- 17:19Speaker 1: crust some way. Ajs that's true.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Mate.
- 17:23Speaker 2: The whole ching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 17:26Speaker 2: tune in week days at four on Radio.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Hold Ikey, welcome back to your messive backbones. I hope
- 17:31Speaker 3: your Monday's going along very nicely. Indeed, do you listen
- 17:35Speaker 3: to the Big Show brought to you by Night As
- 17:45Speaker 3: you can tell, we're still a voice down.
- 17:47Speaker 1: We are still a voice down in our base back.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Man, I'm pretty basy myself.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You're the bass Moogi's like the middle and I'm like
- 17:54Speaker 1: the falsetto at the top.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yeah, you're like the year. Yeah, the treble treble.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. By the way, Night and Day our
- 18:02Speaker 1: show sponsor, they have got Barista made coffee as low
- 18:05Speaker 1: as fours fifty and it's actually a Mike Minogue special
- 18:08Speaker 1: on at the moment.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Oh fantastic.
- 18:10Speaker 1: So you get a Barista made coffee block of one
- 18:15Speaker 1: block of tofu. You also get two cardons of limbsip. Yes,
- 18:20Speaker 1: are three giant boxes of tissues nasal spray, nasal spray
- 18:26Speaker 1: and I think it is some vix vapor rub. Yes,
- 18:30Speaker 1: and what was the last thing. I think coldrill culdril
- 18:32Speaker 1: or something like that. Yes, And three boxes of extra
- 18:35Speaker 1: small connies all that for twelve dollars.
- 18:37Speaker 3: So good man, crazy right, that is a hell of
- 18:39Speaker 3: a deal. So you can swing in there and get
- 18:41Speaker 3: that right now, absolutely you could.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yeah, just say one, Mike Minogue fish Actually they know
- 18:45Speaker 1: it is the Mogi Spish the Moogi Special. Yeah yeah,
- 18:48Speaker 1: yeah like that.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Hopefully old MOGGI back soon. He Fellas or Feller in
- 18:53Speaker 3: this case.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, look, the poor fella he's been battling
- 18:57Speaker 1: for I think he's had this segments for about ten
- 18:59Speaker 1: days now. He's still sounds quite bad. He's still got
- 19:02Speaker 1: no energy, and he's been into the doctor and they've
- 19:05Speaker 1: given him given him a whole heap of meds today.
- 19:07Speaker 1: So I think he'll be back with us soon.
- 19:09Speaker 3: Hopefully he's listening and this will pick him up a
- 19:12Speaker 3: bit of rage against the machine. Keezy.
- 19:14Speaker 1: This doesn't put a lead in his pencil, nothing will up.
- 19:18Speaker 2: The whole Archy Big Shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue
- 19:22Speaker 2: and Keezy.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Radio Head there on the radio Hodarchy Big Show this
- 19:26Speaker 3: Monday afternoon, fourteen minutes past five o'clock.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Jace, I've got some upsetting news man, okay, and I
- 19:34Speaker 1: think that As is really tough for me to bring up.
- 19:38Speaker 1: To be honest, you and I have been working together
- 19:41Speaker 1: for a long time now, a few years forever seems
- 19:45Speaker 1: that way.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it does, doesn't it? Yep?
- 19:50Speaker 1: But what like a year and a half ago you
- 19:52Speaker 1: started working as my agent?
- 19:54Speaker 3: I did?
- 19:54Speaker 1: I asked. I said, I wanted to get into like
- 19:56Speaker 1: film and TV and just you know, try my hand
- 19:59Speaker 1: at that. You said, look, oh, present you to get
- 20:00Speaker 1: you some good work.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and you've got, well what I see a lot.
- 20:06Speaker 3: You're a rookie keezy, you're a young bucks glimmer's there
- 20:10Speaker 3: for sure.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:12Speaker 3: And that that look you've got with your kind of
- 20:17Speaker 3: whacky mustache and stuff, there's some appeal via keyesy some
- 20:22Speaker 3: and you know you got Yeah, this is what you're said,
- 20:24Speaker 3: lovely hear doing you cut jeans and stuff? I thought,
- 20:28Speaker 3: surely there's something out there.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Froy exactly. And look, this is what's so tough. As
- 20:34Speaker 1: I've been offered, I've been offered representation from another agency. Okay,
- 20:41Speaker 1: you're you're just okay, you're yes or goods man just
- 20:45Speaker 1: because And I'll tell you what they told me. It
- 20:48Speaker 1: seems like a no brainer. For example, they're taking ten
- 20:53Speaker 1: percent of anything they get me. You're currently taking forty
- 20:58Speaker 1: actually forty five foot I was at forty five, but that.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Is that is keysy A classic little ure for rookie actors.
- 21:08Speaker 3: They think, oh, they're not taking so much money, but
- 21:11Speaker 3: you're taking the cheap option, not the quality option.
- 21:15Speaker 1: They're also going to do my tax, whereas I'm currently
- 21:17Speaker 1: I have to do your tax.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Well, you know, it's good to get that skill under
- 21:22Speaker 3: your belt.
- 21:24Speaker 1: What doing tax?
- 21:25Speaker 3: Yes, trying to be an act of money you're going
- 21:28Speaker 3: to earn on my books.
- 21:32Speaker 1: They have as part of my sign up, they've offered free,
- 21:36Speaker 1: fully professional like head shots right with a photographer. I
- 21:39Speaker 1: paid you four hundred dollars. You said it was four
- 21:41Speaker 1: hundred dollars for that, and then you just took a
- 21:42Speaker 1: quick photo with your cell phone of me. Yeah, it
- 21:45Speaker 1: was four hundred dollars.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Good shot to that one. That's pretty Bluarry, Well, it's
- 21:49Speaker 3: a bit smoky. I admit I think I had my
- 21:51Speaker 3: finger over that. Well, I might have smudged my sweaty
- 21:54Speaker 3: little finger over the little lens there. You know, I
- 21:57Speaker 3: think that's good. It's like, you know, the vaseline effect,
- 22:00Speaker 3: sort of the vast Yeah, yeah, it kind of it
- 22:03Speaker 3: kind of blares out the rough edges, the achezy right.
- 22:07Speaker 1: They've signed me up to a free acting seminar with
- 22:10Speaker 1: Sam Neil. You charged me five hundred dollars for a
- 22:14Speaker 1: ten minute Q and a session with renowned actors Hoidy
- 22:17Speaker 1: j and Mike Minogue. And I was just at a pub.
- 22:20Speaker 1: That was a bargain, man, Well not really, because there
- 22:23Speaker 1: was just at a pub and then you guys just
- 22:24Speaker 1: drank beers and then left me with the tab and
- 22:26Speaker 1: didn't And every time I asked you about acting, you
- 22:28Speaker 1: just laugh, so you can see. And also, to top
- 22:33Speaker 1: it off, they have bagged me a role, not a
- 22:37Speaker 1: major role, minor, like just a you know, one line
- 22:40Speaker 1: and an upcoming TV show. And I just think, you know,
- 22:43Speaker 1: we've been really slogging away with you as my agent
- 22:45Speaker 1: for a while now.
- 22:46Speaker 3: It's been a slog.
- 22:49Speaker 1: And I just think maybe this is just the writing
- 22:51Speaker 1: on the wall and the sign that I need to
- 22:53Speaker 1: sweach and maybe we aren't supposed to work together, you know, so.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Ironic league easy because what I was going to talk
- 23:03Speaker 3: to you about it after the show tonight, but I'm
- 23:05Speaker 3: also bring it up now. I actually just secured you
- 23:08Speaker 3: a role as really a recurring guest character in a
- 23:15Speaker 3: funnily enough it's a sitcom American New Zealand production running
- 23:19Speaker 3: for the stage, looking at three or four seasons, four
- 23:24Speaker 3: and a half k us a day, filmed in New Zealand.
- 23:28Speaker 3: And you play a goofy wacky radio host. Right, and
- 23:34Speaker 3: they saw your pet and they saw your little mustache
- 23:39Speaker 3: and they went yeah, really, yeah, you don't even have
- 23:42Speaker 3: to audition, it's already locked and loaded. But no, no,
- 23:44Speaker 3: you go with them representation. I'll give it to PAGs
- 23:53Speaker 3: because he's got a little wacky mustache.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Ja. Okay, is that?
- 23:57Speaker 3: Are you for real? Totally? Man? That roles?
- 24:00Speaker 1: Okay? And well how about can I if I stay
- 24:03Speaker 1: with you? Will you lower your rate? No? From forty
- 24:05Speaker 1: five percent?
- 24:06Speaker 3: No?
- 24:07Speaker 1: Can you? Can I stop doing your tax?
- 24:11Speaker 4: No?
- 24:12Speaker 1: Can I get a proper headshot?
- 24:14Speaker 2: No?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Alright, I'm in the Darchy.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Big Show was Jason, Mike and Keyzy Tune in and.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Four on radio.
- 24:24Speaker 3: The Madam Bird's there on the radio hoed Archy Big
- 24:27Speaker 3: Show this Monday afternoon. Let's have a bit of rugby
- 24:30Speaker 3: chat eh okay, No, hang on, where's my rugby sting?
- 24:40Speaker 3: What do you mean? Oh?
- 24:41Speaker 1: The Hoidy J Rugby Union Chat. Yeah, yeah, it's missing.
- 24:47Speaker 3: You see I find that very convenient Keysy Jays that
- 24:53Speaker 3: I went to all that length to make that sting
- 24:55Speaker 3: to the Rugby Chat for Rugby Chat and all of
- 24:58Speaker 3: a sudden missing. Well, sometimes things just because your boys
- 25:03Speaker 3: had to buy this weekend doesn't mean that you can
- 25:06Speaker 3: throw the baby out with the bathwater.
- 25:08Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 25:09Speaker 3: Get rid of Hoidy J sting because you're you're stewing
- 25:13Speaker 3: over it.
- 25:14Speaker 1: No, I've got no issues with the fact that you know,
- 25:18Speaker 1: the Warriors had to buy. You know, I don't care
- 25:21Speaker 1: about that. Oh, Pugs giving me a big thumbs up.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Here we go rouch touch pores engage Rugby Union Chat
- 25:30Speaker 1: with hoity J. Did you make that?
- 25:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 25:34Speaker 1: Man, because it just seems from where I'm sitting that
- 25:36Speaker 1: I made that.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Sounds a lot like you. But I Pug sound said
- 25:40Speaker 3: to me, I want a kind of keasy light voice
- 25:42Speaker 3: for this, and I went, okay, So that was my
- 25:44Speaker 3: impression of you doing Rugby Chat.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Why didn't you just get me to do it?
- 25:48Speaker 3: Oh? Because I think I just gave it a bit
- 25:50Speaker 3: more gravitas.
- 25:51Speaker 1: That's yeah.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Hey, you know this in an amazing match, an amazing
- 25:54Speaker 3: TIS series against the English. Actually, and I'll be honest
- 25:57Speaker 3: with you, I fell asleep.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Really, yes, oh that was the same day as we
- 26:01Speaker 1: got home from the batch.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Yeah it was. It was about halfway through the first
- 26:04Speaker 3: half and I fell asleep. I was laying on the
- 26:06Speaker 3: couch there actually really enjoying the show. But because we
- 26:09Speaker 3: had such a shock of the night before, left pretty
- 26:12Speaker 3: early in the morning, had about four hours sleep. I
- 26:15Speaker 3: nodded off having said that, keysy Yeah. I then got
- 26:18Speaker 3: up early the next morning and watched it, and England
- 26:21Speaker 3: played sensationally well. There were some moments with the All
- 26:25Speaker 3: Blacks where we should have put the hammer down and
- 26:27Speaker 3: scored tries, thinking of particularly God and his name's just
- 26:31Speaker 3: gone out of my head. The winger here t Leah
- 26:36Speaker 3: where he chucked the ball back inside just try line.
- 26:40Speaker 1: It was intercepted, and.
- 26:41Speaker 3: It was intercepted. It was a try for all money.
- 26:44Speaker 3: All we had to do was put his foot down,
- 26:47Speaker 3: you know. And a few people are going, oh, you know,
- 26:49Speaker 3: the All Blacks need to be better, they need to
- 26:50Speaker 3: do this and that. But to be fair, this is
- 26:53Speaker 3: only their second game together as a unit. They've got
- 26:55Speaker 3: a new coach, it's taking time to bed and that
- 26:59Speaker 3: was actually good English side and they weren't quite unlucky
- 27:02Speaker 3: not to come away with it themselves England.
- 27:04Speaker 1: The thing that England did which I found very exciting
- 27:07Speaker 1: is they went for they use it the wipers kick
- 27:10Speaker 1: the crossfield kicker ones which resulted in one or two tries.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Very exciting. However, they got a bit carried league like,
- 27:17Speaker 1: very league like, which is cool, but they got a
- 27:18Speaker 1: bit carried away with it and started just grubbing it
- 27:21Speaker 1: where there was blatantly a fullback there in position, you know,
- 27:24Speaker 1: when they were in attacking areas on the all black side,
- 27:27Speaker 1: and England I found just kept kicking it for the
- 27:30Speaker 1: sake of trying to execute this.
- 27:31Speaker 3: The English week plan. Yeah yeah, yeah, I tell you
- 27:34Speaker 3: what the positives were, and there were a few positive
- 27:37Speaker 3: quartiers with Atima only he's the man, right, He's our
- 27:40Speaker 3: starting halfback, no question about it. And the mercurial, magnificent
- 27:45Speaker 3: body Barrett of how good was he made talk about
- 27:49Speaker 3: having impact, sensational stuff.
- 27:52Speaker 1: He was brilliant off the bench.
- 27:54Speaker 3: You know.
- 27:55Speaker 1: He had sort of five or so plays there, which
- 27:57Speaker 1: was the most ridiculous. One was when he kicked it
- 27:58Speaker 1: and then kicked it again and then it kept going.
- 28:01Speaker 1: When I do that, and I do it a lot,
- 28:03Speaker 1: the second kick sort of would go straight out, sure,
- 28:06Speaker 1: but he kept it alive. And I'm sure a lot
- 28:08Speaker 1: of people will be saying we need to start Body
- 28:09Speaker 1: at fullback over Stephen Pelfefter. But Body coming on with
- 28:13Speaker 1: twenty to go when everyone's sort of knackered, that's the
- 28:16Speaker 1: way to utilize them at this point in his career.
- 28:18Speaker 3: I reckon totally, mate, totally, so very impressive. Now, bizarrely
- 28:22Speaker 3: we hit this at San Diego to play fee Gi.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I mean, what ah is that about? Geez, you're really
- 28:33Speaker 3: slow on the beat there, cheezy.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's my bad, Jason. Also, while we're on the subject,
- 28:38Speaker 1: huge shout out to the Black Ferns who scored sixty
- 28:41Speaker 1: two points against the Wallaroos. They scored nothing. Yes, and
- 28:46Speaker 1: also Caitlin vartakul Or scored four tries as well. She's
- 28:49Speaker 1: an absolute gun former.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Legee, absolute trashing. Great stuff. There's your rugby chat for
- 28:54Speaker 3: your Monday afternoon.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Bloody oath if you want to get yourself from the
- 28:57Speaker 1: drawd to potentially hit to Barethurst or the NRL Grand Final,
- 29:00Speaker 1: stay tuned. Would you rather coming up shortly.
- 29:04Speaker 2: The Hodarchy Big Shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and
- 29:08Speaker 2: Kisy Radio Hodarchy?
- 29:12Speaker 3: Would you yes? Indeed? Would you rather the NRL Final
- 29:20Speaker 3: and or no or bath I always want to say end.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Or That's right. It's gonna be one of the biggest
- 29:27Speaker 1: sporting weekends of your life, regardless of which one you choose. However,
- 29:31Speaker 1: you do need to choose.
- 29:32Speaker 3: That's true. Let's go to Riley and Queenstown House Life. Hey,
- 29:36Speaker 3: good mate? How are you? Yeah? Good? Thanks mate? What
- 29:38Speaker 3: are you doing in Queenstown there? Riley? Ah? Fridgie Ah,
- 29:44Speaker 3: friggie bade?
- 29:46Speaker 1: What's a fridgie.
- 29:49Speaker 3: But air conditioning and refrigation?
- 29:51Speaker 1: Yeah, just keeping people and stuff cool. I like it.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Riley? Do you're nice? All right? Would you rather the
- 29:57Speaker 3: NRL Final or Bathurst? Riley?
- 30:00Speaker 4: It's got to be the Grand Final?
- 30:02Speaker 1: Ah, NRL another one? Great taste from you, Riley. You're
- 30:05Speaker 1: in the draw, mate, Thanks.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Good on your mate, we'll chuck you back to Pakistan.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Studio B Anthony, you're mad Barstard House Live. Yeah good
- 30:14Speaker 3: brothers you yeah good, thanks mate? What do you do
- 30:17Speaker 3: for a chrast? Anthony?
- 30:18Speaker 1: Project manager, bro Ah, Yeah nice, what what project are
- 30:23Speaker 1: you managing doing? Your hotel and Milla Haawkin there.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Okay, I reckon I'd be a pretty good project manager. Actually,
- 30:31Speaker 3: I'm good at organizing stuff.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Yeah, like bats trips so good. N r L Grand
- 30:38Speaker 1: Final mate or Bathurst.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Oh it's a hard one. But as the final Yeah,
- 30:45Speaker 3: well we had two Bathursts earlier in the day and
- 30:47Speaker 3: I thought that, you know, the pendulum, it swung slightly.
- 30:49Speaker 3: But she's gone back to the n r L Grand Final,
- 30:52Speaker 3: certainly has Anthony.
- 30:53Speaker 1: You're in the draw, mate, We'll give you back to
- 30:54Speaker 1: polk stand guys. Thanks mate, Hey Jase, do you want
- 30:58Speaker 1: to would you rather question?
- 31:00Speaker 3: Sure? Man?
- 31:01Speaker 1: Would you rather only eat meat for the rest of
- 31:04Speaker 1: your life? Or vegetables? Meat or vegetables?
- 31:09Speaker 3: Well, funnily enough, when my mate and I loved above
- 31:11Speaker 3: a butcher shop and room you were, I did eat
- 31:14Speaker 3: basically meat for a year and a half and nothing
- 31:16Speaker 3: else because we lived above a butcher shop and we
- 31:19Speaker 3: found the key to the fridge, so it just chiller
- 31:22Speaker 3: the chiller and we just literally stuff our faces with
- 31:26Speaker 3: meat all the time.
- 31:27Speaker 1: So you were just hurning through a lot of Saucys.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Saucis ment chicken.
- 31:31Speaker 1: You name it, mate, So you locking meat? You only
- 31:34Speaker 1: have one for the rest of your life, right meat?
- 31:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 31:40Speaker 1: Meat, okay, lock it in. What would you eat music?
- 31:43Speaker 1: Actually no, I don't care. I was just joking. This
- 31:46Speaker 1: is a tune though it is so you wouldn't be
- 31:48Speaker 1: allowed to this is Chili's.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Well there might be Chili's on the meat.
- 31:52Speaker 1: No, you're not allowed.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Vigi The Holaky Big Shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue
- 31:58Speaker 2: and Kisy.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Foster the people there on the radio Hodache Big Show
- 32:01Speaker 3: this Monday afternoon. Now, when we were at the beach
- 32:05Speaker 3: and we were doing the podcast, we put it out
- 32:07Speaker 3: there for people if they wanted to ask us questions
- 32:09Speaker 3: while we were doing the podcast, you keys, he got
- 32:13Speaker 3: so distracted by pud Son's downstairs. Yeah that we and
- 32:22Speaker 3: it was distracting.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Well if you're not distracted by that then yeah, yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Yeah, what I mean talk about steering your right in
- 32:29Speaker 3: the face.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but we hate to get sidetracked with it, but yes,
- 32:31Speaker 1: it was.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it was substantial.
- 32:34Speaker 1: It was.
- 32:34Speaker 3: And the weird thing about it is he never talks
- 32:36Speaker 3: about it.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I know, which is because it's like if I had
- 32:39Speaker 1: that I wouldn't shut up about it. Yeah yeah, I'll
- 32:41Speaker 1: be on the radio doing it every day, sort of like.
- 32:43Speaker 3: What you do. Yeah yeah. But when you put it
- 32:45Speaker 3: on the disc, that was a bit march. But we
- 32:48Speaker 3: didn't get around too. That was just an intimidation technic. Yeah.
- 32:52Speaker 1: And you see how the like disc legs were wabbling
- 32:55Speaker 1: and about to give way. It was crazy. I mean, anyway,
- 32:58Speaker 1: we don't want to get sidetracked.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Don't get sidetreckedy. Yeah, hard not to some people, some
- 33:04Speaker 3: people said in some questions though, So that's right.
- 33:06Speaker 1: The initial idea was we go to the batch, we
- 33:08Speaker 1: do Jason's Batch special of the podcast, and we do
- 33:11Speaker 1: an AMA, which is an ask Me anything, and people
- 33:14Speaker 1: pucks and put it up on Instagram and Facebook, and
- 33:16Speaker 1: people did ask a few questions. I figured to answer
- 33:18Speaker 1: a few of them. Now, okay, first question, this is
- 33:21Speaker 1: from wrong as Man nine on Instagram. How much extra
- 33:26Speaker 1: would the Flowers have to pay to get hoiity j
- 33:28Speaker 1: to turn the heating on? And the reason he's asked
- 33:31Speaker 1: that is because you and I are in the photo
- 33:32Speaker 1: both wearing puffer jackets looking absolutely freezing while indoors.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Well, actually we did have a heater on, but it
- 33:39Speaker 3: was just very cozy.
- 33:41Speaker 1: But we had a heater on, a small oil heater
- 33:43Speaker 1: which was next to the door, which Jace was going
- 33:46Speaker 1: in and out of every five minutes punching stress darts.
- 33:49Speaker 3: So I was like, because the heater was on the
- 33:51Speaker 3: whole time stressed darts among other things.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Yes, of course, and so there was a heater on
- 33:56Speaker 1: right by the door. The door was constantly open, so
- 33:58Speaker 1: there was there was no point and even trying to.
- 34:01Speaker 3: But then we got into bed together later on and
- 34:03Speaker 3: warmed out pretty quick.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Oh my god, it was yeah, real good. On a
- 34:07Speaker 1: scale of one to ten. How much is Jace regretting
- 34:10Speaker 1: this batch trip? And that's from Matt. Were you regretting
- 34:14Speaker 1: it at all? Once you were there?
- 34:19Speaker 3: Not regretting? You guys were both backbones about it, which
- 34:22Speaker 3: was fortunate. But I was deeply upset.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but look, to be honest, you weren't showing
- 34:28Speaker 1: any signs. And I also had, you know, I had
- 34:31Speaker 1: my well, I was distracted by distracted pugs aunt giant downstairs.
- 34:35Speaker 1: It was crazy. Ah, this is from spin Giday. Guys,
- 34:40Speaker 1: I'm underperforming on Tinder. How do I get more women
- 34:43Speaker 1: like pugs?
- 34:43Speaker 3: Aunt.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Well, firstly, massive downstairs. How it's like a huge one.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:47Speaker 1: But outside of that, what would you say?
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I've never been on Tinder. Yeah, you know,
- 34:54Speaker 3: swipe up down and all that sort of sideways. Have
- 35:00Speaker 3: you been on tinderkeeezy?
- 35:01Speaker 1: No, I've been with my wife for a long time
- 35:03Speaker 1: before Tinder started. So I mean, look, i'd say, put
- 35:05Speaker 1: a photo of you in a backbone shirt up there. Yeah, okay,
- 35:08Speaker 1: that's a good way to start. Or a photo of
- 35:10Speaker 1: you with a backbone shirt on like a dirt bike.
- 35:13Speaker 1: That's a really good way to start.
- 35:15Speaker 3: To get some jeans with cuts in them, and get.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Some cool jeans, baggy ones with cuts in them. Someone
- 35:22Speaker 1: who wants to know other knives on, I don't know
- 35:24Speaker 1: what that means. Other knives on?
- 35:25Speaker 3: Yeah, what's that about.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I've got no idea.
- 35:28Speaker 3: They would have been except where we could have had
- 35:32Speaker 3: the knives on was taken up by two other couples.
- 35:35Speaker 1: That's right. How if you play scrabble This is from
- 35:42Speaker 1: Sam Wood Flowers count as a word? Yes, that is
- 35:45Speaker 1: a word? Okay, cool. Look, there are a lot of questions.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Most of them are about Pugs, Connie's back door action
- 35:51Speaker 1: and all sorts of stuff, so I've done my best
- 35:53Speaker 1: to try and filter through.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Might just end it there, right, okay, mate, The Hot
- 35:57Speaker 2: Key Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mikeman and Kesey.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Who find is here on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show
- 36:04Speaker 3: plenty coming up after six o'clock, including What's on the
- 36:08Speaker 3: TV with Me Mike Mino, and we're gonna discuss some
- 36:12Speaker 3: more beer and pie July chat stuff.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Yeah, well, around beer and pie July. We've obviously got
- 36:17Speaker 1: the pies and we've been talking about pies at length.
- 36:19Speaker 1: And don't forget text pile to three four eight three
- 36:21Speaker 1: right now. Tell us a flavor you'd like to make
- 36:23Speaker 1: into a pie and we could turn it into the
- 36:24Speaker 1: new Hoducky Pie. Yes, and you can win five grand. However,
- 36:27Speaker 1: we also are making a special big show Backbone Brew.
- 36:32Speaker 1: We are more information on that after sex. It's bloody exciting, Jace.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Very exciting, Kezy looking forward to it.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Yeah man, I'm excited. You excited.
- 36:40Speaker 3: I'm so excited.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Same? Should we go to some ads?
- 36:45Speaker 3: Yeah? Man?
- 36:47Speaker 2: The whole Key Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kezy
- 36:50Speaker 2: tune in week days at four on Radio hod Ikey.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Welcome back to your massive backbones. Hope you have got
- 36:55Speaker 3: through Monday, okay, or if you go to work right now,
- 36:58Speaker 3: have a great night. You're listening to the big show
- 37:01Speaker 3: brought to you by Night. Okay, Well just stop, just
- 37:10Speaker 3: stop what you said? I was the falsetto go.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Come on the trib'll go? Okay, start again.
- 37:15Speaker 3: No, I'm not doing it again.
- 37:17Speaker 1: What do you want? Do you want me to be like?
- 37:20Speaker 3: I want you to do it properly? Let that's fine,
- 37:24Speaker 3: all right, just the.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Heads up on night and day. By the way, foot
- 37:26Speaker 1: all of fifty Barista made coffees. Get yourself a coffee
- 37:29Speaker 1: card and every sixth one is free. Also asked for
- 37:31Speaker 1: the Mogi special and you'll get half a pharmacy.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Yeah, pretty much, and a couple of blocks of tofu and.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Some extra small connies and that's twelve ninety nine, so
- 37:39Speaker 1: that's worth getting amongst. Hey, we did a podcast outro today,
- 37:42Speaker 1: didn't we?
- 37:43Speaker 3: We did, mate, It was so good, just kind of
- 37:46Speaker 3: raking over the coals of the weekend.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Yeah, the Batch Trip that comes out at seven thirty
- 37:51Speaker 1: this evening along with a highlights package of today's show.
- 37:54Speaker 1: But here is a clip of the outro.
- 37:58Speaker 3: And one of the other things we found out was
- 38:00Speaker 3: that old Pugson. We're not no, I'm just saying what
- 38:03Speaker 3: a poker player.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Thank yeah, man, he let's just say he was confident.
- 38:09Speaker 1: He cleaned us out.
- 38:11Speaker 3: He was flopping it out on the on the desk. Yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 3: you know, we won't revisit that anymore because I think
- 38:20Speaker 3: Pugsan is feeling about conscious about his massive downstairs. The thing,
- 38:25Speaker 3: the thing that overplay that hand keysy well.
- 38:27Speaker 1: The weird okay, fine, we'll park it. But the weird
- 38:30Speaker 1: thing is, it's not like we're saying he's got a
- 38:32Speaker 1: tiny downstairs. It's like the truth has come out. We
- 38:34Speaker 1: saw him, you know, we saw we caught a glimpse
- 38:36Speaker 1: of him because we were sharing a room and it's massive,
- 38:39Speaker 1: and we're stoked about it. We're stoked for him, Like
- 38:42Speaker 1: you're really stoked for him.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Oh look, I'll be honest. I was blown away, blown away,
- 38:51Speaker 3: you know, and I was gobsmacked. To be honest, that
- 38:54Speaker 3: was gobsmacked.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Do you hear that, pug Son? He was smacked in
- 38:59Speaker 1: the god neguratively all right, So stop being self conscious.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Yeah, man, just own it, just own own it. Hey,
- 39:06Speaker 3: coming up, Beer and pie July we'll be having a
- 39:08Speaker 3: little bit of a chat about.
- 39:09Speaker 1: That about Pikes.
- 39:11Speaker 2: The Whodarchy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Kezy tune
- 39:14Speaker 2: in four on Radio.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Ke' blind there on the radio hoed Archy Big Show
- 39:20Speaker 3: this Monday afternoon. But right now, yeah, this is breaking news. Geez,
- 39:28Speaker 3: you're really slow on the uptake today, Key, see what's
- 39:31Speaker 3: going on.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I don't know, I am, And there's been a few issues,
- 39:35Speaker 1: and I don't know what's causing them, right.
- 39:37Speaker 3: You don't think it's you that's causing them.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Well, it's me that's causing them. But I don't know
- 39:42Speaker 1: what's causing me to cause them, right, Okay, you know,
- 39:45Speaker 1: like yeah, and I'm a bit worried about it. And
- 39:48Speaker 1: I can't think of anything I did this week and
- 39:49Speaker 1: that would contribute to me being a wee bit slow today.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Neither huge all g man, it's all g thanks, thank
- 39:55Speaker 1: you huge news though, Hoidy Jay. We are hitting down too,
- 40:00Speaker 1: hop Federation and Nelson and we're creating a back bro
- 40:03Speaker 1: a backbone brew.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Yes, tomorrow, the whole team.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Literally tomorrow, myself, you, Mogi and pugsn are hopping on
- 40:11Speaker 1: a flight. We're going down. We are brewing it. We're
- 40:13Speaker 1: making it out of local waiti and kuwatu hops. It's
- 40:17Speaker 1: going to be a delicious, crisp, clean pilsner nice which
- 40:22Speaker 1: we chose. Yes, yes, of course we did. So that's
- 40:26Speaker 1: very exciting. We've got to start the brewing process. It's
- 40:28Speaker 1: going to be available for first tastings at Beer Varna
- 40:30Speaker 1: and Wellington next month. However, this does mean that we
- 40:33Speaker 1: won't be on ed tomorow.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Yes, when Tony Lyarle's going to come in and do
- 40:37Speaker 3: it for us.
- 40:38Speaker 1: He's going to come and do it, and then we'll
- 40:39Speaker 1: all be back together as a team on the Wednesday
- 40:41Speaker 1: to rip back into the year with old Moggi back
- 40:43Speaker 1: on board as well.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Yes, indeed, sounds good man, it's gonna be good. Well,
- 40:47Speaker 3: what sort of pie do you think would go well
- 40:48Speaker 3: with that? You reckon, keezy?
- 40:50Speaker 1: What have we got? Crisp clean pilsner, A backbone brew
- 40:56Speaker 1: straight up? Mince, just mince, just mint. What's a backbone brew?
- 41:00Speaker 3: Right?
- 41:00Speaker 1: You know that's a backbone pie?
- 41:01Speaker 3: I reckon the pie that I thought of would be good.
- 41:03Speaker 3: You know, your beef, your bacon, your turritso, your mushroom,
- 41:07Speaker 3: your chili and you red wine jew.
- 41:09Speaker 1: See that that doesn't sound Backbone to me. I think
- 41:13Speaker 1: the one you thought of would be bad.
- 41:15Speaker 3: It's got three meats in it, Keezy.
- 41:17Speaker 1: I think the one I think just immense, or the
- 41:20Speaker 1: one that Mike suggested, which was water tofu and kale
- 41:25Speaker 1: or something like grass grass. Yeah, maybe that, but it
- 41:28Speaker 1: is exciting.
- 41:29Speaker 3: I find it would be very hard to put a
- 41:30Speaker 3: pastry around that one. I reckon water yeah, and grass.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I agree. Actually that's it's a terrible idea, but I'll
- 41:38Speaker 1: get around it because old Mogi came up with it.
- 41:40Speaker 1: But if you do want to taste it, make sure
- 41:41Speaker 1: you get down to Beer Vanna. It is a beer
- 41:44Speaker 1: lover's heaven. It's happening at Sky Stadium, Wellington twenty third
- 41:46Speaker 1: and twenty fourth of August. We'll be down there broadcasting live,
- 41:50Speaker 1: which is very exciting and you're able to get your
- 41:52Speaker 1: lips around the new Backbone brew courtesy of the Big
- 41:55Speaker 1: Show and also Hop Federation, good SAP, The Hodikey.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Big Show with Jason Hoy, Mike Minogue and Kesy.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Just indeed the cult there on the radio ho Donkey
- 42:04Speaker 3: Big Show this Monday afternoon. But right now it's time
- 42:07Speaker 3: for what's on the Telly with Mike Minogue.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought we weren't doing that anymore.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Well, I just kind of felt like I should make
- 42:34Speaker 3: an effort keasy.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Right, because we were like, oh, we don't know why
- 42:37Speaker 1: we do it's kind of pointless, let's not do it. Well,
- 42:39Speaker 1: Mike's away.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Well, I was kind of just thinking of Mike and
- 42:41Speaker 3: thinking he'd want us to do it. Yeah, he would,
- 42:44Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And it feels almost slightly
- 42:47Speaker 3: disrespectful right to not do it.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Speaking of Mike, I watched the TV show that he's on, Yes,
- 42:54Speaker 1: met him on TV three Indeed three Now. If you
- 42:57Speaker 1: don't know what it is, it's it's based on a
- 42:59Speaker 1: true story of an American woman who moved to New
- 43:01Speaker 1: Zealand her husband has is running an affair with a
- 43:05Speaker 1: sex worker. Rather than getting all upset about it, she
- 43:08Speaker 1: talks to the sex worker, finds out more about it,
- 43:10Speaker 1: finds out that prostitution in New Zealand is legal yes,
- 43:14Speaker 1: and then goes about sitting up an ethical brothel run
- 43:17Speaker 1: by women. I've watched two episodes back to back. That's
- 43:20Speaker 1: how good the first episode was. I instantly wanted to
- 43:21Speaker 1: watch another one. Yes, and it's a really curious mix
- 43:25Speaker 1: of like genuinely interesting and very very entertaining. Yes, I
- 43:29Speaker 1: loved it.
- 43:30Speaker 3: I haven't actually started it, but as we were saying
- 43:33Speaker 3: to Johanna, was.
- 43:34Speaker 1: It Johannah cosgro who plays one of the women that
- 43:37Speaker 1: works for the main lady.
- 43:38Speaker 3: She is brilliant who we interviewed on Friday, I was
- 43:43Speaker 3: saying that my wife has watched it and she loved
- 43:46Speaker 3: it as well.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Didn't your wife go for one of the roles?
- 43:51Speaker 3: Yes? She did.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Yeah, so your wife went for the role in the
- 43:54Speaker 1: second episode of the one of the one of the
- 43:58Speaker 1: people that work at the brothel went for the role
- 44:00Speaker 1: of one of the six workers, right, Yes, and then
- 44:03Speaker 1: there's a scene where her and a younger sex worker
- 44:06Speaker 1: have like they co mingle because she's a bit nervous
- 44:08Speaker 1: about what to do. Yes, yeah, that scene happened in
- 44:12Speaker 1: the second episode, and the whole time I was like,
- 44:15Speaker 1: wasn't Jason's wife supposed to do this?
- 44:17Speaker 3: You went what?
- 44:19Speaker 2: Like? What?
- 44:21Speaker 4: Like?
- 44:21Speaker 2: What?
- 44:22Speaker 3: Thinking of my wife? While I mean to be fair,
- 44:26Speaker 3: the scene was a very intense audition process apparently, And to.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Be honest, yeah, I and the lady they cast was
- 44:33Speaker 1: great because she's just such a like regular Kiwi Lady. Yes,
- 44:38Speaker 1: but I was the whole time. I was thinking, like, wow,
- 44:40Speaker 1: it would have been really interesting if Jason's wife forgot
- 44:42Speaker 1: that part.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well I'm going to check it out. And
- 44:45Speaker 3: of course our old mate moment I was in episode three.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Which I'm going to watch tonight because having seen a
- 44:51Speaker 1: snippet of his performance. And also the other Johns. They're
- 44:54Speaker 1: called clients that show up. They're all quite character type actors,
- 44:57Speaker 1: you know, Yes, they're all very funny, So I'm excited.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I'd see Mike's arrival.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Good times, Keezy, good times.
- 45:02Speaker 1: What did you watch?
- 45:03Speaker 3: Nothing? I went to bed. I was still fuman.
- 45:05Speaker 1: What about the batch?
- 45:06Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 45:07Speaker 2: Oh god, the whole Archy Big Show weekdays from four
- 45:11Speaker 2: on Radio Hdarchy List.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Indeed, Chemical Brothers there on the Radio Hodarky Big Show
- 45:16Speaker 3: this Monday evening. Now, as you would have heard if
- 45:19Speaker 3: you were listening to the beginning of the show, it
- 45:20Speaker 3: was an absolute debarcle going to the batch that we'd
- 45:23Speaker 3: organized with us last weekend. Yep, absolute disaster. Still, we
- 45:30Speaker 3: did manage to make a podcast, didn't we easy?
- 45:32Speaker 1: We did so. If you don't know, basically, Jason's got
- 45:35Speaker 1: a family batch, it's his happy place in the world. Yes,
- 45:38Speaker 1: it's where you go and you're the most at peace.
- 45:40Speaker 1: You've been telling us to come along. We finally organized
- 45:42Speaker 1: a weekend. Unfortunately the last minute Mike Minogue was too
- 45:46Speaker 1: sick and still is sick, thank god. Yeah, if he
- 45:49Speaker 1: was there would have made things a lot worse. We
- 45:50Speaker 1: drove an our pretty much by the time we got
- 45:52Speaker 1: there two hours yeah, in dark in traffic. Arrived at
- 45:56Speaker 1: the batch to find that there were two other couples there.
- 45:58Speaker 1: We were forced to stay basically and sheer one bedroom, which,
- 46:02Speaker 1: to be honest, Pugs and I we still had a
- 46:04Speaker 1: lot of fun and I think you did as well,
- 46:06Speaker 1: between iffing and Jeffing. Yes, And at about half past
- 46:09Speaker 1: midnight we recorded a Batch outro special, which, to be honest,
- 46:13Speaker 1: I haven't listened to this. I've got a clip here.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Do you want to hear it?
- 46:16Speaker 3: Sure?
- 46:16Speaker 1: Man, I've got a feeling that it might not be
- 46:18Speaker 1: very coherent.
- 46:21Speaker 3: So I just explained the scenario of when we arrived Fellas.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:25Speaker 3: Full credit to you two backbones. You took it on
- 46:28Speaker 3: the chin and just went, yeah, man, we'll do you know,
- 46:33Speaker 3: like every cloud has a silver lining, seeing Pugs.
- 46:48Speaker 4: But I.
- 46:52Speaker 3: I've just got to say, but forget that. Yes, he's
- 46:56Speaker 3: got to.
- 47:01Speaker 1: There's just complete gibberish. Oh lordie like And in case
- 47:08Speaker 1: you're wondering, that was recorded I think twelve thirty midnight
- 47:11Speaker 1: on the Friday, where we're you know, we're driven all
- 47:13Speaker 1: this way. We decided all we could do was sort
- 47:15Speaker 1: of get stuck into the supplies we had brought with us. Yes,
- 47:17Speaker 1: and it was it's basically I think about fourteen fifteen
- 47:21Speaker 1: minutes of just us steamed ah and talking about how
- 47:25Speaker 1: massive PUGS is downstairs. So if you if you want
