- 0:21Speaker 1: Welcome to Eagles postgame analysis here at the Philadelphia Sports
- 0:24Speaker 1: Table podcast show, the longest running weekly Philly sports podcast
- 0:27Speaker 1: show in the world, over eleven years strong. And Week
- 0:30Speaker 1: three of the Philadelphia Eagles twenty twenty four twenty twenty
- 0:33Speaker 1: five season is now in the books, the Eagles winning
- 0:36Speaker 1: on the road down in New Orleans, beating the Saints
- 0:39Speaker 1: by a score of fifteen to twelve. It's amazing they
- 0:43Speaker 1: won this game given the offensive struggles, and we're certainly
- 0:46Speaker 1: going to be getting into it. I'm Jeff Warren. I
- 0:49Speaker 1: am here with my good buddy from Philadelphia soccernow dot com.
- 0:54Speaker 1: He did our pregame show with us, Josh Schuster. Josh,
- 0:58Speaker 1: thanks for coming back. And I do have to apology,
- 1:00Speaker 1: buddy for the lack of my editing in our pregame
- 1:04Speaker 1: where I'm coughing and hacking up along and then all
- 1:07Speaker 1: of that. I just forgot to edit it out. I'm sorry, buddy,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I made it sound unprofessional.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Hey, that's totally okay. We are extremely professional, exactly exactly, Yes,
- 1:17Speaker 2: personally offended over here, but that's fine, all right, all.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Right, all right, Well, hey man, a fifteen to twelve
- 1:22Speaker 1: win by this Eagles team. They're now two to one
- 1:25Speaker 1: on the season. A win's a win. I'm glad, of
- 1:28Speaker 1: course they won this game. I'm glad that, you know,
- 1:31Speaker 1: the New Orleans Saints who absolutely decimated the Dallas Cowboys
- 1:35Speaker 1: in Week two in Dallas's house. I'm glad that we
- 1:39Speaker 1: handled some business with them. But boy, there's a lot
- 1:43Speaker 1: to dissect here, first and foremost before we get into
- 1:46Speaker 1: like our takeaways and our themes of this game. Makai
- 1:48Speaker 1: Becton's went out of the game with a hand injury,
- 1:51Speaker 1: Britain Covey shoulder injury. Both in the second quarter. We're out.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Lane Johnson then was valuated for a concussion. They kept
- 1:58Speaker 1: him out, same with Demonte's Smith in the second half.
- 2:01Speaker 1: He's being evaluated for concussion. We'll have to see what
- 2:04Speaker 1: this wide receiver lineup is gonna look like next week.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Hopefully aj Brown may be able to join the wide
- 2:09Speaker 1: receiver corps. But injuries stacking up, not just on this
- 2:12Speaker 1: Eagles team, but throughout the NFL. It's been a bizarre season.
- 2:15Speaker 1: But I guess the theme of this game because there
- 2:18Speaker 1: are many There are many, Josh, but the theme of
- 2:21Speaker 1: this game is the Eagles defense the biggest story of
- 2:24Speaker 1: this game. An incredible turnaround, an incredible turnaround, making plays,
- 2:29Speaker 1: making stops when they needed to. But on the flip
- 2:32Speaker 1: side of things, the Eagles offense and they're coaching also
- 2:36Speaker 1: is another theme of this game, and it seems like
- 2:38Speaker 1: both sides of the ball can never play a complete game.
- 2:41Speaker 1: It's either one or the other, and it is so enraging.
- 2:44Speaker 1: That is my biggest theme after this Week three matchup. Man,
- 2:49Speaker 1: I seriously, I mean, I'm so happy the defense has
- 2:51Speaker 1: turned things around here. Hopefully they have for the long term,
- 2:54Speaker 1: but man, offensive struggles, but again, glad to see the
- 2:59Speaker 1: defense really step up here.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Jeff, you know, today went exactly like how we
- 3:04Speaker 2: outlined earlier this week. It was a defensive struggle the Eagles.
- 3:08Speaker 2: You know, we all knew that they were going to
- 3:10Speaker 2: win today and so it just went. You know, that
- 3:13Speaker 2: podcast we were recorded earlier wasn't a total waste of
- 3:16Speaker 2: time because we were spot on with our predictions. So
- 3:20Speaker 2: we should just go out and play the lottery every day.
- 3:22Speaker 2: This week a win for sure. Yeah, Yeah, this was
- 3:26Speaker 2: a This was a bizarre game. I really think in
- 3:31Speaker 2: many capacities, it summarizes Philadelphia fandom. You know, everybody says,
- 3:36Speaker 2: you know how easy it is being a Philadelphia fan.
- 3:39Speaker 2: There's never any stress, never any frustration. Everything just goes
- 3:44Speaker 2: perfectly yeas together. Yeah, oh yeah, it's great. And that's
- 3:49Speaker 2: how this game went. You know, if you eliminate the
- 3:52Speaker 2: first three quarters, the fourth quarter was great.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, there you go. And okay, I will say
- 4:00Speaker 1: my other theme from this game that I really want
- 4:03Speaker 1: to get into is, you know, we talked about on
- 4:07Speaker 1: this podcast platform a number of times before the season started,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and the questions persisted, what if aj Brown and DeVante
- 4:14Speaker 1: Smith get injured that number three wide receiver position, number
- 4:18Speaker 1: four and even number five, what's gonna happen? We did
- 4:21Speaker 1: see that in this game, and thankfully we had one
- 4:24Speaker 1: Dallas Goddard being able to step up just having an incredible,
- 4:29Speaker 1: incredible game and probably one of his best ones as
- 4:33Speaker 1: a Philadelphia Eagle. He had eleven targets, thank god, he
- 4:36Speaker 1: had more targets that he had my gosh, the previous
- 4:40Speaker 1: couple weeks. I mean, he absolutely killed that. He caught
- 4:42Speaker 1: ten balls one hundred and seventy yards, He had that
- 4:45Speaker 1: long sixty one yard catch he came through, and this
- 4:48Speaker 1: team absolutely needed him. Hurts got it dumped off to him,
- 4:52Speaker 1: saw saw what was in front of him, or I
- 4:54Speaker 1: should say the lack of what was in front of him,
- 4:57Speaker 1: dumped it off to him. What a great, great play
- 4:59Speaker 1: that to help propel this team to this win. But
- 5:03Speaker 1: I say, Dallas Goddard is definitely a theme from this game,
- 5:07Speaker 1: the bright spot of the offense outside of Saquon Barkley
- 5:10Speaker 1: as well. We're certainly gonna get to Saquon Barkley with
- 5:12Speaker 1: his two touchdowns, but it was great to see the
- 5:14Speaker 1: resurgence of Dallas Goddard.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it really was one of the big, big factors,
- 5:22Speaker 2: is what we talked about this past week. The middle
- 5:26Speaker 2: of the field. Yes, those short yardage middle of the field.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And you know what Hurts did today, He used it.
- 5:32Speaker 2: You know, he was using it for dump offs. And
- 5:34Speaker 2: it wasn't just with Goddard, it was with other people
- 5:36Speaker 2: as well. There weren't really a whole lot of screenplays,
- 5:38Speaker 2: which was kind of nice. They started off with that
- 5:41Speaker 2: stinking tight end screen It always picks up either three
- 5:44Speaker 2: yards or negative three either or but otherwise they kind
- 5:48Speaker 2: of moved away from it and Hurts started using the
- 5:51Speaker 2: first ten yards in front of him that middle of
- 5:54Speaker 2: the field, and it kind of opened things up. Yeah,
- 5:56Speaker 2: I don't think the Saints were expecting it, and so
- 5:59Speaker 2: I do think that that's why we had I had
- 6:01Speaker 2: mentioned earlier to you if there was a game that
- 6:03Speaker 2: defined empty stats, this is probably it from the Eagles, right. Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 2: you can put up four hundred plus yards of offense,
- 6:09Speaker 2: but you're not scoring, you're not doing anything, and you're
- 6:11Speaker 2: not taking care of the ball.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Well, that that goes in, That goes into though, I mean,
- 6:17Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'll let you finish your thought there, but
- 6:19Speaker 1: like it goes into the offensive coaching, the offensive mindset
- 6:22Speaker 1: for this game, and we got to call Nick Siri
- 6:25Speaker 1: out on Nick Sirianni out on this and even Kellen
- 6:28Speaker 1: Moore for what we saw in this game. I'm sorry,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I'll let you continue your thought, but we certainly have
- 6:32Speaker 1: to get into that too.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I just this this game was also to
- 6:38Speaker 2: me the and we'll get into it more when we
- 6:40Speaker 2: get into quarterback rades. This was the Jalen Hurts experience
- 6:44Speaker 2: where yes, you know he carries them for one or
- 6:48Speaker 2: two drives and then another one or two drives. You
- 6:51Speaker 2: just sit and scratch your head, and so I'm not
- 6:56Speaker 2: saying he's terrible. That's not what I'm saying, right. What
- 6:59Speaker 2: I'm saying is this was the full and complete Hurts experience. Yes, Nick,
- 7:03Speaker 2: Sirianni is a different story, which maybe we can pivot
- 7:05Speaker 2: off to that now.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Maybe maybe we can. I do want to get into
- 7:08Speaker 1: jail and Hurts too, though, because I do want to
- 7:09Speaker 1: respond to some tweets that we got during the course
- 7:12Speaker 1: of the game and ones that I really want to,
- 7:14Speaker 1: you know, whatt before we get into Sirianni because we're
- 7:16Speaker 1: going to destroy him. I want to. I want to
- 7:19Speaker 1: respond to somebody who follows us all the time. We
- 7:24Speaker 1: really appreciate it. Name is NFT Padrino. And I think
- 7:28Speaker 1: that I said that right, But he shut off a
- 7:32Speaker 1: tweet to us that said Hurts keeps regressing, Hurts keeps regressing,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and I responded on our PST Twitter account at Philadelphia PST,
- 7:42Speaker 1: if you're not following us, it said, very much disagree.
- 7:44Speaker 1: He's been solid. Aside from the fumble. The route that
- 7:47Speaker 1: Smitty ran on that interception was very subpar. Wasn't Hurts
- 7:51Speaker 1: his fault he made. He made a couple of bizarre decisions,
- 7:55Speaker 1: but at that point in the game, Josh I wrote,
- 7:57Speaker 1: He's got two hundred and twenty five total yards of
- 7:59Speaker 1: off thus far and is completing some solid and very
- 8:02Speaker 1: good passes, and then he responded again NFT Padrino says
- 8:07Speaker 1: he is a red zone nightmare. The play calling has
- 8:11Speaker 1: changed because of how he plays. There's nothing special about
- 8:15Speaker 1: him holding the ball too long and not seeing open
- 8:18Speaker 1: wide receivers. There's a little something there about holding the
- 8:20Speaker 1: ball a little too long. I absolutely agree with that.
- 8:22Speaker 1: He's not bad, He's not elite, just a dude. I
- 8:26Speaker 1: gotta tell you, I very much disagree with this. Do
- 8:30Speaker 1: I think that Jalen Hurts is the next coming of
- 8:32Speaker 1: Tom Brady and has he been over these past few
- 8:35Speaker 1: years that he's been on this Eagles team. No, but
- 8:39Speaker 1: he is a darn good quarterback. And like you said, Josh,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you know, we saw some head scratchers today from Jalen Hurts.
- 8:45Speaker 1: We did, and I even mentioned it. I've ad as
- 8:47Speaker 1: I hit my microphone. I'm so emotional right now. I
- 8:51Speaker 1: even mentioned the tweet. You know. It's like he's not perfect.
- 8:55Speaker 1: He has made some mistakes, of course, but he's not
- 8:58Speaker 1: a nightmare either. He is a very good quarterback, and
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm glad we have him instead of somebody like Chase Young.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm glad we have him, quite frankly, instead of somebody
- 9:10Speaker 1: like Kyler Murray. I'm very glad we have Jalen Hurts
- 9:14Speaker 1: on this team. And yes, he's not perfect. He's not
- 9:18Speaker 1: a one hundred percent clutch guy, which we have seen
- 9:24Speaker 1: certainly that he wasn't clutch last week. But he played
- 9:28Speaker 1: a pretty good game today overall, and I'm gonna give
- 9:30Speaker 1: him a decent grade at the end of this. So
- 9:32Speaker 1: I don't know if you have a response for that,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but I wanted to respond to one of our listeners
- 9:36Speaker 1: and somebody who was tweeting atis during the game.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so maybe I'm the right person to respond to this.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I'm in between the two of you, okay, And I've
- 9:46Speaker 2: said I mean, I've been on a number of these now, yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 2: I've said all along to me, I judge Hurts Hurts
- 9:52Speaker 2: based off of his contract because I feel like that's fair, right,
- 9:55Speaker 2: Like I do not think Trevor Lawrence is worth his money,
- 9:58Speaker 2: but you know what, Trevor Lawrence gets more money than
- 10:00Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts. So when I look at it, hurts is
- 10:04Speaker 2: the ninth highest paid quarterback right now in the NFL. Now,
- 10:07Speaker 2: I feel like Hurts overall is a top third NFL QB. Yes,
- 10:15Speaker 2: I would have a hard time putting him really lower
- 10:19Speaker 2: than the top ten. The conversation around regression is interesting
- 10:25Speaker 2: because for me, it comes down to your expectations of Hurts.
- 10:29Speaker 2: If you are expecting the MVP season, yes, Jalen Hurts
- 10:33Speaker 2: is absolutely regressing. Part of it is I think we
- 10:37Speaker 2: have PTSD from Wentz because if you look at it,
- 10:40Speaker 2: the trajectories are very similar. Both quarterbacks have an MVP
- 10:44Speaker 2: type season, both quarterbacks get the bag, and now both
- 10:47Speaker 2: quarterbacks are playing hero ball. So my response to that
- 10:52Speaker 2: kind of is I'm okay with Hurts. It is my quarterback.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I'm growing concerned though, because we're getting into decision making.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I hear all that about the route, but if you
- 11:02Speaker 2: look at that throw Smith, Smith is covered by both
- 11:07Speaker 2: Tyron Matthew and he's covered by the corner. He once
- 11:11Speaker 2: again throws it into double coverage. And what did I
- 11:14Speaker 2: say earlier this week? I turned to my dad and
- 11:15Speaker 2: said it. I was on with my buddy Jeff, and
- 11:17Speaker 2: I said, I'm worried about the honey badger dating Jalen Hurts.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Do you know what happened on that play?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Honey badger bad at him?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Yep, Yes, Hurts is a number of years in at
- 11:29Speaker 2: this point. I don't want to hear that he's young.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I don't want to hear that he's learning. I don't
- 11:33Speaker 2: want to hear about offensive coordinator. Agreed, Hurts made the
- 11:36Speaker 2: decision in college to leave and go to a new
- 11:38Speaker 2: offensive coordinator. Yeah, so all that doesn't fly with me.
- 11:41Speaker 2: The reality is he's a top ten paid quarterback. I
- 11:44Speaker 2: think he's a top ten quarterback. I am concerned about
- 11:48Speaker 2: his start because he is showing Lake last year in
- 11:51Speaker 2: inability to take care of the ball.
- 11:52Speaker 1: All right, well, let's move on to Nick Sirianni. Here,
- 11:55Speaker 1: Let's move on to the Esse offensive coaching, because at
- 11:57Speaker 1: the end of the day, we really don't know if
- 11:59Speaker 1: it's necessary. I mean, Ellen Moore's calling the plays. He's
- 12:01Speaker 1: calling the plays, but there's also a directional nature coming
- 12:05Speaker 1: from Nick Sirianni. And Nick Sirianni and Kellen Moore together,
- 12:10Speaker 1: whether it's one or two of them, were absolutely horrendous
- 12:15Speaker 1: in this game, with the majority of their decision making
- 12:20Speaker 1: in critical situations one of three on fourth down they
- 12:25Speaker 1: were also there were also two turnover on downs when
- 12:28Speaker 1: they did a fake push push taking sequamba, which, by
- 12:32Speaker 1: the way, I do not mind that play call, but
- 12:37Speaker 1: you see the personnel out there, and if it's not
- 12:40Speaker 1: gonna work, which it wasn't gonna work. I looked at
- 12:42Speaker 1: it again. It's like, no, it's not gonna work here,
- 12:44Speaker 1: based on who you have pulling and who you have
- 12:46Speaker 1: going over to that side. It was not going to
- 12:49Speaker 1: work at all. And the way that they the Saints
- 12:53Speaker 1: had it stacked up, the way they had it stacked
- 12:55Speaker 1: in the box wasn't gonna work. The offensive play calling
- 12:59Speaker 1: and coaching throughout the past couple weeks here, I feel
- 13:02Speaker 1: like I give week one kind of you know, I
- 13:05Speaker 1: give it. Okay, not perfect. They're in another country, for
- 13:08Speaker 1: the love of God, they are, you know, first game
- 13:12Speaker 1: of the season, trying to get the rust off. Not
- 13:14Speaker 1: too much going on in the preseason. Last week against
- 13:17Speaker 1: the Falcons, we know how that turns out. Of twenty
- 13:19Speaker 1: two to twenty one Falcons victory. It was a horrendous
- 13:23Speaker 1: defensive effort. However, there was some horrendous decision making from
- 13:28Speaker 1: Nick Sirianni and Kellen Moore and company offensive company during
- 13:32Speaker 1: that game too, and it really did translate over to
- 13:35Speaker 1: this game against the Saints, Josh, I feel like the
- 13:38Speaker 1: players won this game in spite of Nick Sirianni and
- 13:42Speaker 1: Kellen Moore's coaching in this game, I really do. If
- 13:46Speaker 1: you don't have Dallas Goddard having the type of game
- 13:49Speaker 1: that he had again one hundred and seventy total yards
- 13:52Speaker 1: and breaking off that sixty one yard er, if you
- 13:54Speaker 1: don't have Sakwon Barkley on seventeen carries, carrying the ball
- 13:58Speaker 1: for one hundred and forty seven total yards, averaging eight
- 14:01Speaker 1: point six yards per carrying two touchdowns and that long
- 14:05Speaker 1: sixty five yard er, you had two explosive plays that
- 14:09Speaker 1: were this team was very fortunate to have on offense.
- 14:12Speaker 1: They don't have those those explosive plays there. What happens
- 14:16Speaker 1: with this game, They probably lose the game because the
- 14:19Speaker 1: offensive coaching was horrendous. It's a theme of this game,
- 14:24Speaker 1: and I hope it does not continue to persist, but
- 14:26Speaker 1: I have concerns.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Yeah, so I'm gonna separate Nick Sirianni and Kellen Moore, okay,
- 14:34Speaker 2: because I'm actually more encouraged by Kellen Moore after this week, Okay,
- 14:39Speaker 2: and I'll explain a little bit why I feel like
- 14:41Speaker 2: Kellen Moore is slowly rolling out his system. Yeah, and
- 14:45Speaker 2: he's doing a little bit more each week. Today you
- 14:49Speaker 2: saw more motion than last week, But what you also
- 14:52Speaker 2: saw was routes designed to confuse the defense. And I'm
- 14:56Speaker 2: looking primarily at that Goddard play. Yeah, right, He's designed
- 15:00Speaker 2: to be a short, little old dump off. But because
- 15:03Speaker 2: of how that play was drawn up, it caused two
- 15:05Speaker 2: players to run into them that then wound up allowing
- 15:08Speaker 2: god Her to go all the way down the field.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I think part of it is Jalen Hurts is very
- 15:13Speaker 2: hard to coach. And I don't mean he doesn't listen.
- 15:16Speaker 2: What I mean is his skill set, his ability, and
- 15:20Speaker 2: the fact that you can hear you hear professionals talk
- 15:22Speaker 2: about it all the time. Hurts is fine if he
- 15:25Speaker 2: has his first look. It's when he has to go
- 15:27Speaker 2: through his progressions. I think for Kellen Moore, he is
- 15:31Speaker 2: just trying to learn Hurts in order to be able
- 15:34Speaker 2: to put him in the best spot. So what I'm
- 15:36Speaker 2: hoping is by week fifteen, at the end of that
- 15:39Speaker 2: post game, we can go back and listen and we'll
- 15:42Speaker 2: see exactly what I'm talking about, where every play we're
- 15:45Speaker 2: seeing these things develope With Nick Sirianni, I mean, I
- 15:52Speaker 2: try not to be critical of people's jobs, right, because
- 15:56Speaker 2: I'm in a position where and you are in the
- 15:59Speaker 2: same realm in terms of you hold a position that
- 16:02Speaker 2: people are very critical of, even if it has nothing
- 16:05Speaker 2: to do with the decision you've made. Who are going
- 16:07Speaker 2: to get blamed?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Right?
- 16:09Speaker 2: So I have a hard time saying this person doesn't
- 16:11Speaker 2: do anything. But when I hear things like, well, Jalen
- 16:15Speaker 2: Hurts is addressing the team after the games, okay, So
- 16:20Speaker 2: Nick Sirianni's not doing that. When I hear he's no
- 16:23Speaker 2: longer calling plays okay, and he's popping into different meetings, well,
- 16:29Speaker 2: context matters, so like what part is he hearing? What
- 16:32Speaker 2: part is he changing? So then I have an expectation
- 16:36Speaker 2: that the Eagles will be almost flawless in terms of
- 16:40Speaker 2: being able to line up correctly, have the right players,
- 16:44Speaker 2: and win to decide to kick a freaking field goal.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Because it could have had six more points in this
- 16:49Speaker 1: game probably if Jake Elliott were to make those field goals,
- 16:51Speaker 1: if they had gone for him.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Yep, here's my issue. I have two issues with the
- 16:55Speaker 2: field goals. The first one it is what it is
- 16:58Speaker 2: with the second one, it's the end the first half. Yeah,
- 17:01Speaker 2: you are getting the ball back.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yep.
- 17:02Speaker 2: The offense has literally produced absolutely nothing. I don't care
- 17:07Speaker 2: that it's fourth and short. What I care about is
- 17:10Speaker 2: taking positive momentum into the locker room and using that
- 17:13Speaker 2: for the next drive. And then I'm watching the game
- 17:17Speaker 2: with my dad and I jokingly said, I bet they'll
- 17:20Speaker 2: kick it at sixty yards and then Jake Kellie starts
- 17:24Speaker 2: coming out and I'm laughing and I'm saying, Oh my gosh,
- 17:27Speaker 2: They're actually gonna kick the football for this. I just
- 17:31Speaker 2: am genuinely puzzled. And I get the idea of analytics,
- 17:35Speaker 2: and I'm not completely opposed to them, but I do
- 17:37Speaker 2: think that there is a certain aspect of feel, and
- 17:40Speaker 2: Nick Sirianni either doesn't have it or he refuses to
- 17:43Speaker 2: use it. You just sometimes got to take the common
- 17:47Speaker 2: sense thing to give your team a lift. He is
- 17:50Speaker 2: very lucky, very lucky. They won this game.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Absolutely, he is very lucky. And I gotta say too.
- 17:55Speaker 1: And I don't know if this's a Kellen Moore thing
- 17:57Speaker 1: or a Nick Sirianni thing. But I think at the
- 17:59Speaker 1: end of the day, it does fall on Sirianni, and
- 18:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna be very negative with him regarding this because
- 18:04Speaker 1: of what Saquon Barkley has shown us this year so far,
- 18:08Speaker 1: being basically the top running back in the league. But
- 18:11Speaker 1: it's the second game in a row where Saquon Barkley
- 18:14Speaker 1: somehow didn't touch the ball on the Eagles very first drive,
- 18:18Speaker 1: that first drive.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Or Jeff, he didn't touch the ball the entire first question.
- 18:22Speaker 1: That's what I was just getting ready to say. They
- 18:23Speaker 1: had negative nine yards on the Eagles first offensive drive
- 18:26Speaker 1: of the game, and I was gonna say, in fact,
- 18:29Speaker 1: he had zero yards in the first quarter, which is
- 18:31Speaker 1: embarrassing and astonishing. And I think that comes down to
- 18:35Speaker 1: Nick Sirianni. I don't necessarily think that is a Kellen
- 18:38Speaker 1: Moore play call type of thing. Maybe maybe it is.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Maybe it's like seventy five percent twenty five percent here,
- 18:44Speaker 1: because at the end of the day, Nick Sirianni should
- 18:46Speaker 1: be saying to Kellen Moore, he is a weapon. He
- 18:49Speaker 1: is somebody who's being paid a lot of money and
- 18:51Speaker 1: was brought in to do a certain job. Something that
- 18:54Speaker 1: we haven't had on this team in a number of years.
- 18:57Speaker 1: So I want him touching the ball on the first drive, Kellen.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I want him to touch the ball in the first
- 19:02Speaker 1: quarter because he is Saquon Barkley. It's just astonishing to
- 19:08Speaker 1: me how you have a weapon like this, and especially
- 19:11Speaker 1: when you have a J. Brown not playing, because I
- 19:14Speaker 1: mean the offense does in terms of its skill players
- 19:17Speaker 1: really does run through a J. Brown a lot, but
- 19:19Speaker 1: for him to not have any yards in the first quarter,
- 19:23Speaker 1: it was astonishing to me.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, we had kind of talked a little bit about
- 19:28Speaker 2: it during the week too, and you know, we had
- 19:30Speaker 2: mentioned and talked about the fact that, you know, I
- 19:33Speaker 2: understand Barkley needs breaks like I'm not, you know, like
- 19:36Speaker 2: we need to run him all the time. But what
- 19:38Speaker 2: never made sense to me was the personnel last week
- 19:41Speaker 2: of You're using Barkley all the way down the field
- 19:44Speaker 2: and then you get to the red zone and it's
- 19:46Speaker 2: cutting Gainwell time. Yes, today and he went Gainwell is
- 19:49Speaker 2: getting more touches than Saquon Barkley in the first quarter.
- 19:52Speaker 2: And I do think part of this is Nick Sirianni.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I think he has control over the personnel that goes in.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I just I don't.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I don't understand how you invest that much money in
- 20:03Speaker 2: a running back. You take him out in the red
- 20:05Speaker 2: zone and you don't give him a single touch in
- 20:10Speaker 2: the first quarter of a game where you're on the road,
- 20:13Speaker 2: like against a team that going in we thought was
- 20:16Speaker 2: really good. Yeah, I don't understand at all.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I don't get it either. You have an elite running back,
- 20:21Speaker 1: and an elite running back is becoming more and more
- 20:23Speaker 1: important in this league as we are seeing, and then
- 20:27Speaker 1: as we see, he broke the entire game open for
- 20:30Speaker 1: this Philadelphia Eagles team with the longest rushing touchdown in
- 20:34Speaker 1: the NFL at this point here in Week three, as
- 20:37Speaker 1: of us recording this sixty five yard rushing touchdown. If
- 20:40Speaker 1: we don't have that, we are not having that spark
- 20:43Speaker 1: in this game. We don't have Dallas Goddard having the
- 20:46Speaker 1: ability to take that sixty one yard or where it
- 20:49Speaker 1: needed to be in the fourth quarter. Saquon Barkley is
- 20:52Speaker 1: so incredibly important now and at this point I would
- 20:55Speaker 1: rank him just as high as AJ Brown and it's
- 20:58Speaker 1: gonna be great when this team gets ag Brown back. However, Uh,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I just I don't trust Nick Sirianni to be able
- 21:04Speaker 1: to use Saquon Barkley the way that he really does
- 21:07Speaker 1: need to be used. And yes, I know people are
- 21:08Speaker 1: to say, okay, Jeff, yeah, put up one hundred and
- 21:10Speaker 1: forty seven yards on the ground. And he also caught
- 21:13Speaker 1: some balls too, you know, yeah, four balls for nine yards. Still,
- 21:18Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley is really important to this team, and if
- 21:20Speaker 1: you're not utilizing him for an entire quarter, that's just
- 21:23Speaker 1: it's it's it's an injustice. It is.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, it absolutely is. It's it's mine numbing.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I was one of those idiots that said it's not
- 21:33Speaker 2: worth paying a running back that much money.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I said the same thing.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Granted, I also don't think you should pay Daniel Jones.
- 21:39Speaker 2: So if I had to choose the two, I would
- 21:41Speaker 2: choose Barkley. But I you know, I've kind of changed
- 21:44Speaker 2: my stance. But my reservation again, and why I was
- 21:47Speaker 2: against the signing is how the Eagles have used running
- 21:51Speaker 2: back like they like to do a rotation and to
- 21:53Speaker 2: pay a boatload of money. Now I forgot how wonderful
- 21:57Speaker 2: it was to watch a running back actually see the
- 22:01Speaker 2: lane and take advantage of it. Yes, I was saying
- 22:04Speaker 2: that to my dad today, I said, it's amazing. His
- 22:06Speaker 2: vision is just astounding. But anyway, that's a side side trail.
- 22:12Speaker 1: But it's important. It's an important aspect of where this
- 22:15Speaker 1: team is at right now, right after Week three, as
- 22:17Speaker 1: we're heading Week four against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's
- 22:21Speaker 1: it's an important topic I think that we're gonna need
- 22:23Speaker 1: to talk about and focus on over these next few weeks.
- 22:26Speaker 1: For sure. I know I've been dominating here Josh talking
- 22:29Speaker 1: about my themes. Do you have any particular themes that
- 22:31Speaker 1: you want to get into here during this postgame show?
- 22:35Speaker 2: Not not necessarily, Okay, I feel better about some things
- 22:40Speaker 2: and I feel significantly worse about other things. Yes, And
- 22:44Speaker 2: I think that's kind of the feeling that most Eagles
- 22:47Speaker 2: fans would have.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I feel like that's fair, but that fluctuates week to week, right, Yes,
- 22:52Speaker 2: it does, to be honest. So well, it's like I
- 22:55Speaker 2: said at.
- 22:55Speaker 1: The beginning, you know, I think one of the biggest
- 22:56Speaker 1: storylines is of the game and biggest themes that the
- 23:00Speaker 1: defense is getting their stuff together here against a very
- 23:02Speaker 1: prolific Saints team after two weeks that was really dominating
- 23:06Speaker 1: the defense got itself together, but the offense really didn't
- 23:10Speaker 1: all that much based on coaching. And again, these both
- 23:14Speaker 1: sides of the ball can never play a complete game.
- 23:16Speaker 1: It's either one or the other. And I will say
- 23:19Speaker 1: this too, Okay, I have to say this to be
- 23:21Speaker 1: fair with regard to Jalen Hurts. As much as I
- 23:24Speaker 1: think he is an extremely good quarterback and I am
- 23:27Speaker 1: glad that we have have him, he's had I think
- 23:31Speaker 1: his sixth seventh turnover of the season thus far, and
- 23:35Speaker 1: I think it's seventh after that fumble, and he's up
- 23:39Speaker 1: to twenty seven giveaways in his last twenty one games.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I believe that's what it is. It's either twenty six
- 23:44Speaker 1: or twenty seven in his last twenty one games. And
- 23:47Speaker 1: that is a terrible stat. It's a terrible stat, and
- 23:51Speaker 1: it's something he needs to work on. All of US fans,
- 23:53Speaker 1: all of US podcasters, all of US reporter or people
- 23:56Speaker 1: are reporters, said he needs to cut down on the
- 23:59Speaker 1: turnovers this season. He's already got more to half a dozen,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and it is it. I'm concerned about that. I am
- 24:08Speaker 1: concerned about that. And then again, you've got issues on
- 24:11Speaker 1: the offensive line with Lane Johnson going out, Kai Becton
- 24:13Speaker 1: going out as well. That didn't help. Yes, there were
- 24:16Speaker 1: a lot of different moving pieces in this game, but
- 24:18Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts really does have to work on not turning
- 24:21Speaker 1: the ball over.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think that's one of the things I'm
- 24:27Speaker 2: becoming concerned about. Is just one of the best things
- 24:31Speaker 2: when Hurts came into the league was his willingness to
- 24:34Speaker 2: throw the ball away. Yeah, because we were tired of
- 24:37Speaker 2: watching Wentz play hero ball and turn the ball over.
- 24:41Speaker 2: I get that Nick Sirianni wants Hurts to be a leader.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I think each of us have probably had a boss
- 24:47Speaker 2: at some point that really wasn't great at their job. Yes,
- 24:50Speaker 2: and so when they would come and say, come on, guys,
- 24:52Speaker 2: we need to work better, we need to do better,
- 24:55Speaker 2: we'd kind of look at each other and go, well,
- 24:56Speaker 2: why don't you start at some point, especially if they
- 25:01Speaker 2: keep winning these close games or if they start losing.
- 25:05Speaker 2: I really am fearful that that's how the locker room's
- 25:08Speaker 2: gonna develop, Like Hurtz, Yeah, you're the one putting us
- 25:12Speaker 2: in the short fields. You gotta stop man.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I'll still take them though, I'm still gonna
- 25:17Speaker 1: take them right now. Still gonna take them right now, absolutely,
- 25:20Speaker 1: all right. Well, uh, do you got anything else, buddy?
- 25:22Speaker 1: Before we head to the break and uh, we're gonna
- 25:25Speaker 1: do some grades after that. You got anything else? No,
- 25:27Speaker 1: I don't think so. All right, Well, folks, we're gonna
- 25:29Speaker 1: take a break. We'll be back in just a bit.
- 25:32Speaker 1: All right, we are back again talking to Josh Schuster
- 25:35Speaker 1: from Philadelphia Soccer. NOOW dot Com appreciate him filling in
- 25:38Speaker 1: for the guys this week on our postgame show. Here
- 25:41Speaker 1: week three of this Eagle season. Now in the books,
- 25:43Speaker 1: they beat the New Orleans Saints in a incredible game,
- 25:48Speaker 1: a nail bier for sure. We're gonna get into grades
- 25:50Speaker 1: right now. Grading the quarterback position. I am going to
- 25:54Speaker 1: give Jalen Hurts at a B plus in this game.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Two turnovers, yes, and like I said, I do believe
- 26:01Speaker 1: that Smitty. I do believe that there was a lot
- 26:04Speaker 1: of responsibility in terms of him and just a very
- 26:07Speaker 1: very subpar route that he ran in the end zone. Yes,
- 26:11Speaker 1: the honey Badger did bait him. Jalen Hurts on that,
- 26:14Speaker 1: I think what a probably a combination of a few things,
- 26:16Speaker 1: in my opinion. So I am going to give Jalen
- 26:19Speaker 1: Hurts a B plus this week, even though he was
- 26:21Speaker 1: twenty nine of thirty eight for three hundred and eleven
- 26:24Speaker 1: yards eight point two yards per attempt. He did have
- 26:28Speaker 1: that interception, no touchdowns thrown this week, and he ended
- 26:31Speaker 1: with an overall rating of eighty eight point eight. So
- 26:34Speaker 1: I'm giving him a B plus.
- 26:35Speaker 2: What do you give him, Josh, I'm going to give
- 26:37Speaker 2: him a C minus. Okay, miss watch if they didn't
- 26:40Speaker 2: have any throwing touchdowns. He had no rushing touchdowns.
- 26:43Speaker 1: That's true.
- 26:43Speaker 2: He had no touchdowns and multiple turnovers. It's becoming a trend.
- 26:48Speaker 2: This was an opportunity much like the defense. Now, the
- 26:51Speaker 2: defense is going to get a great grade for me
- 26:52Speaker 2: this week because they needed adjustments and improvements.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Yep.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts has not Sometimes statistics we can make it
- 26:58Speaker 2: say whatever we want. This is one of those cases
- 27:01Speaker 2: with Hurts like, Okay, I see what you did, but
- 27:04Speaker 2: you also had two really bad turnovers, one in the
- 27:07Speaker 2: end zone and then one on your own side of
- 27:11Speaker 2: the field where you just dropped the ball.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Yep.
- 27:13Speaker 2: So I'm gonna go with the C minus because they
- 27:17Speaker 2: did win and he did carry them at certain points.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yep.
- 27:20Speaker 2: But the turnovers have to stop, all right.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I definitely agree. We talked about it right before the break.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Turnovers definitely have to stop way too many here. Alright,
- 27:28Speaker 1: move into the running backs. It's just Saquon Barkley. He
- 27:31Speaker 1: had seventeen carries, as I mentioned earlier, one hundred and
- 27:34Speaker 1: forty seven yards eight point six yards per carry, two touchdowns.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley gets an A plus from me this week.
- 27:40Speaker 1: What do you give him a Yeah, it's got to be.
- 27:43Speaker 2: A plus round. Yeah, that's this is the easiest grade.
- 27:45Speaker 1: We'll give out a plus absolutely, all right. The receipt He's.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Also very good at blocking too, Joe, I'm like, oh,
- 27:51Speaker 2: that's another part that we aren't talking about. Like, he's
- 27:54Speaker 2: excellent at picking up the blitz. So he definitely gets
- 27:57Speaker 2: an A plus.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Absolutely. I'm glad you mentioned that. Let's move to the
- 28:00Speaker 1: receivers and tight ends. Dallas Goddard. Of course, as I mentioned,
- 28:03Speaker 1: one hundred and seven yards on the day. Davante Smith
- 28:05Speaker 1: was seventy nine yards on the day. Targeted ten times,
- 28:09Speaker 1: he caught seven balls. Paris Campbell being targeted twice, he
- 28:12Speaker 1: caught both balls for thirteen yards. Kenny Gainwell was in
- 28:16Speaker 1: there with some catches. Britton Covey, Johnny Wilson, Saquon Barkley,
- 28:19Speaker 1: and Johan Dotson, who was only targeted three times caught
- 28:22Speaker 1: two balls for eight yards. Very much a non factor
- 28:25Speaker 1: thus far. Thought he needed to be involved a little
- 28:27Speaker 1: bit more, especially in intermediate routes in this game. They
- 28:30Speaker 1: didn't plan it for him, and we see the results
- 28:32Speaker 1: in the box score. But I'm gonna give the receivers
- 28:35Speaker 1: this week a straight up a B. And I say
- 28:38Speaker 1: that given what Dallas Goddard did, I think outside of
- 28:42Speaker 1: Dallas Goddard and Devonte Smith, just very underwhelming, very underwhelming
- 28:46Speaker 1: from this wide receiver corps. In the receiving in general,
- 28:50Speaker 1: I'm giving him a bee. What do you give him?
- 28:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll do the same. I'll give him a bee.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna give the tight Ends an A. There was
- 28:57Speaker 2: one bad penalty, but they also did a great job
- 29:00Speaker 2: blocking this week. You know, they stayed back a lot
- 29:02Speaker 2: with the line, especially with the amount of injuries that
- 29:05Speaker 2: the line had. Yes, so tight Ends get an A.
- 29:08Speaker 2: And overall receiving, even even with Smidty, I'm gonna go
- 29:15Speaker 2: a see because he wasn't as crisp as he normally is.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Yes, yes, very true, very true. All right. The offensive line, boy,
- 29:24Speaker 1: with Mackay Beckton going out, Tyler Steen, we saw some
- 29:27Speaker 1: struggles from him, Fred Johnson taking over for Lane Johnson
- 29:30Speaker 1: with his concussion. It was a little rough on that
- 29:33Speaker 1: right side of the line. Every now and again we
- 29:35Speaker 1: saw Jalen Hurts having to take some sacks. He was
- 29:37Speaker 1: sacked four times for twenty three yards of lost yardage
- 29:41Speaker 1: because of those sacks. But I'm gonna give the I'm
- 29:44Speaker 1: gonna give the offensive line probably I'm gonna go with
- 29:47Speaker 1: a C. It was. It was kind of tough to
- 29:49Speaker 1: watch at times. However, from a run and rushing blocking standpoint,
- 29:54Speaker 1: they were pretty good. I'm still gonna go with the
- 29:56Speaker 1: SEA could be actually a C plus now that I'm
- 29:59Speaker 1: thinking about it. What do you give the offensive line?
- 30:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I should do the same. I'll go see plus.
- 30:04Speaker 2: And we better hope that that offensive line is healthy
- 30:08Speaker 2: next week because Todd Bowles loves the blitz yep. And
- 30:12Speaker 2: I am greatly concerned with a lot of offensive linemen
- 30:17Speaker 2: out what the plan is?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Yep.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I no longer truck Nick Sirianni with game plans.
- 30:22Speaker 1: So yeah, all right, move over the other side of
- 30:26Speaker 1: the ball. The defense, defensive line. Believe it or not,
- 30:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna give this defensive line because of what they
- 30:31Speaker 1: did in terms of holding Alvin Kamara, who has been
- 30:34Speaker 1: explosive so far this season. They held him to three
- 30:37Speaker 1: point three yards per carry. He carried the ball twenty
- 30:40Speaker 1: six times for eighty seven yards as long as sixteen yards.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Jamal Williams got in for one carry for a negative
- 30:49Speaker 1: one yard. Only eighty nine yards of rushing by the
- 30:53Speaker 1: Saints today. I'm gonna give this line again. They didn't.
- 30:59Speaker 1: They didn't. They had four There were four sacks on
- 31:01Speaker 1: the day. They had seven tackles for a loss. There
- 31:06Speaker 1: were two passes defended, eight quarterback hits. It was a
- 31:09Speaker 1: pretty nice day for them. Man, I'm gonna give him
- 31:11Speaker 1: an a minus. Actually, what do you give him?
- 31:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna give him an a all right? Nice to me.
- 31:15Speaker 2: The sacks weren't even the biggest part of the game.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I mean, how many passes were deflected? And honestly, David Carr,
- 31:22Speaker 2: he was Derek Carr.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I am so sorry, really quick, I have to interrupt you.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I was just reading the Saints freaking box score. I
- 31:31Speaker 1: am so sorry. They did not have four sacks. They
- 31:33Speaker 1: had one seat one. They had six tackles for a loss,
- 31:36Speaker 1: eight passes defended, four quarterback hits. Dear lord, I was
- 31:39Speaker 1: reading the wrong part of the box score. Folks, don't unsubscribe, please.
- 31:45Speaker 2: This is another case where stats lie. Yes, because the
- 31:47Speaker 2: defensive line and defense was way better than what the
- 31:52Speaker 2: numbers put out. And so, I mean Carr was under
- 31:55Speaker 2: pressure all day. I mean he was not comfortable and
- 31:58Speaker 2: he looked like he had just about enough at the end.
- 32:01Speaker 2: So you know, again stat slide and hurts favor stat slide,
- 32:06Speaker 2: you know, against the defense this week. So I guess
- 32:09Speaker 2: call to wash. But they get an A from me.
- 32:10Speaker 1: They absolutely do. Specifically Jalen Carter having his best game
- 32:14Speaker 1: of the season. Four total tackles, two tackles for a loss,
- 32:17Speaker 1: two passes defended, he got his hands up there, deflected
- 32:21Speaker 1: two passes, and one quarterback hit. So I want to
- 32:24Speaker 1: give him a shout out. The linebackers, I'm actually gonna
- 32:27Speaker 1: give them an overall A minus I think, or even
- 32:31Speaker 1: an A NA. Kobe Dean had a really good game,
- 32:34Speaker 1: Zach Bond had a really good game. I'm gonna I'm
- 32:37Speaker 1: gonna give him an A. I'm gonna give him an A.
- 32:39Speaker 1: What do you give him?
- 32:40Speaker 2: Same here? Yeah, I mean we hardly heard from them
- 32:43Speaker 2: all day, which is a really good sign. Yes, what
- 32:46Speaker 2: you want with your secondary, It's what you want with
- 32:47Speaker 2: your linebackers. You don't want to hear about him because
- 32:51Speaker 2: if you do, that means something probably is going wrong.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Absolutely all right, the secondary, and then we're gonna get
- 32:57Speaker 1: to coaching. Derek Carr put up one hundred and forty
- 33:00Speaker 1: two yards after he had been slicing and dicing week
- 33:02Speaker 1: one and week two, and that was it. Five point
- 33:05Speaker 1: seven yards per attempt and he ended with a rating
- 33:09Speaker 1: of sixty nine point one. Secondary. You know, there were
- 33:13Speaker 1: a few hiccups here and there. There were a few hiccups,
- 33:15Speaker 1: but you know what, secondaries do have hiccups every now
- 33:18Speaker 1: and again. But read blanket chip the end of the game,
- 33:20Speaker 1: sealing the deal with that interception as well, there were
- 33:23Speaker 1: some great passes defended when when the Eagles secondary needed
- 33:27Speaker 1: to come up with a stop. I am going to
- 33:29Speaker 1: give them an A. What do you give the secondary?
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm actually gonna give him an a plus. Yeah,
- 33:35Speaker 2: considering kind of what we've seen, I don't think any
- 33:39Speaker 2: Eagles fan actually had confidence that they were going to
- 33:42Speaker 2: shut it down. At the end of the game, both
- 33:43Speaker 2: my dad and I looked at each other and said
- 33:45Speaker 2: they left too much time on the clock, Like this
- 33:47Speaker 2: isn't good.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Yep.
- 33:48Speaker 2: They really only got beat on one play, which unfortunately
- 33:51Speaker 2: was a touchdown. But it wasn't a long bomb or
- 33:54Speaker 2: anything like that. It was really just kind of one play.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Other than that, they had good breakups. They didn't really
- 34:01Speaker 2: get called for pass interference. I'm gonna give him an
- 34:04Speaker 2: A absolutely.
- 34:05Speaker 1: I think it's a very fair score. All right, let's
- 34:08Speaker 1: get to the uh or I should say grade, not
- 34:10Speaker 1: score grade. Dear lord, we got about three minutes here, okay,
- 34:13Speaker 1: before we're gonna be getting cut off from our little
- 34:15Speaker 1: call here. I am going to give special teams. I mean,
- 34:19Speaker 1: you got Jake Elliot missing a sixty yard or he
- 34:21Speaker 1: had a punt that was blocked. Not the greatest day
- 34:23Speaker 1: for special teams by any stretch of the imagination. I'm
- 34:26Speaker 1: gonna give them a C this week. What do you
- 34:27Speaker 1: give special teams?
- 34:29Speaker 2: I'm I'm gonna give him a D minus, okay, because
- 34:32Speaker 2: they weren't called upon hardly at all. So that's a
- 34:35Speaker 2: fair they did. Yeah, it was not pretty.
- 34:39Speaker 1: That's a fair, Greer.
- 34:40Speaker 2: You're gonna get a D minus And the only reason
- 34:41Speaker 2: why it's not an F is because they won.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Yep. Defensive coaching, I mean Vic Fangio. You got to
- 34:48Speaker 1: give the guy an A. You gotta give himn A
- 34:50Speaker 1: this week? In my opinion, what do you give him?
- 34:52Speaker 2: He hits an A plus. He's the only defensive coordinator
- 34:55Speaker 2: this year that solved the Saints, and what he did
- 34:58Speaker 2: today they probably will use movie forward.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you get a plus, all right, Nick Sirianni. Kellen Moore.
- 35:04Speaker 1: The offensive coaching, I'm giving him a D. I'm giving
- 35:07Speaker 1: them a straight up D this week. The coaching was horrendous.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Could could actually be an F. Could be an F
- 35:13Speaker 1: could be but I'm actually going to have mercy, Josh,
- 35:16Speaker 1: I'm giving them a D. What do you give the
- 35:18Speaker 1: offensive coaching? I'm gonna have Kellen Morris c okay.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I I didn't hate his game plan, and I think
- 35:25Speaker 2: a lot of stuff that's kind of outside of his control,
- 35:27Speaker 2: to be perfectly honest. Yeah, Nick Sirianni gets a D minus.
- 35:30Speaker 2: And the only reason why it's a D minus and
- 35:32Speaker 2: non F is because they won.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go, there you go. All right, that's
- 35:36Speaker 1: gonna do it for us. Here we got we got
- 35:38Speaker 1: about a minute and thirty seconds left before we get
- 35:40Speaker 1: cut off. Buddy, you got anything else for this game
- 35:42Speaker 1: before we head out?
- 35:44Speaker 2: No, I don't think so. I'm just this is one
- 35:46Speaker 2: of those games you look back at the end and
- 35:48Speaker 2: you just remember you beat the Saints. But this week,
- 35:50Speaker 2: it sure does feel good. Yes, Cowboys didn't quite fair
- 35:56Speaker 2: so well.
