- 0:08Hello everyone and welcome to another episode
- 0:10of The Psychic Explorer. How are you? It's May,
- 0:14it's May's guest episode and today I have the
- 0:17wonderful Kelsey Anderson talking to you about
- 0:20travel and intuition. It's a lovely conversation
- 0:23which I hope you are going to get something from.
- 0:26You may or may not know that I am travel obsessed.
- 0:30My wanderlust, I class as an incurable disease.
- 0:35It's just something within me which I cannot
- 0:37get rid of and I love it. There's nothing better
- 0:39for me than getting on a plane and just taking
- 0:43me away to some other place. Not that I don't
- 0:46love where I live, not that I don't enjoy where
- 0:49I am, but there's something about going to somewhere
- 0:52which is so foreign, so alien, so strange, and
- 0:57absorbing a part of that culture to bring it
- 0:59back home with me. Like myself, Kelsey is travel
- 1:03-obsessed. Her and her family have just come
- 1:05back from a massive adventure. They moved from
- 1:08the US, went to live in Scotland, and then they
- 1:10tried a bit of England, and they've just come
- 1:12back from living in Croatia. Now that is fantastic.
- 1:16However, the really amazing part is when I tell
- 1:19you, almost none of it was planned. Kelsey just
- 1:22had this guiding intuition within her and went
- 1:26with it. So if you think this episode is about
- 1:28comparing notes about where we went, I went here,
- 1:31you went there, absolutely not. This conversation
- 1:34is all about intuition and the effect of exploring
- 1:37our world can have on our spirituality and our
- 1:41practices. We also cover how total trust in one's
- 1:45intuition can affect those around us, like spouses
- 1:48and how this newly found guidance might affect
- 1:51the dynamics of a relationship. In this conversation
- 1:54about travel, it might seem irrelevant to spirituality,
- 1:58but everything we talk about relates to life
- 2:01in some way. So I'm not going to go on much longer,
- 2:04but just to say a big thank you to Kelsey for
- 2:07trusting me with what you had to say about exploring
- 2:10life and our world. But also, just if you say
- 2:15nothing else in this conversation, just be in
- 2:18awe of Kelsey's ability to be able to just completely
- 2:22trust in her intuition and go with the flow.
- 2:25We could all take a lot of lessons from what
- 2:29Kelsey has to teach us. So without further ado,
- 2:33here is the wonderful Kelsey Anderson. Kelsey,
- 2:43it is so good to see you. How are you? I am really
- 2:47wonderful in the sense of just... Being here,
- 2:51enjoying this energy, really just appreciating
- 2:55the connection that we are having or will have
- 2:58in this hour. I just feel delighted, yeah, to
- 3:01share this space with you. Well, we've been speaking
- 3:04on Instagram, direct messaging for a little while
- 3:06now. I came across your wonderful podcast, SoulThreads,
- 3:11probably... I want to say about a year ago actually,
- 3:15so it's been bubbling in the back of my background.
- 3:19I've listened to lots and lots of episodes. I
- 3:21love your calm energy that you bring. And even
- 3:25talking to you today, I was just saying to you
- 3:27before we were recording, oh my god, I'm so hectic.
- 3:29My brain is everywhere, and I've been having
- 3:31a really, really hectic day. And you're just
- 3:33like the essence of zen. It's so soothing to
- 3:36listen to. How do you find that? How do you find
- 3:39that sense? Is that just you? Have you always
- 3:41been that way? I feel like the core of my soul
- 3:45energy has probably been that way, but my experience
- 3:48in this human form in this life has not been
- 3:51that way until the last couple years. And it
- 3:54wasn't ever a purposeful intention, but what
- 3:56happened is when I started speaking my truth
- 3:59and going into this work as a medium and energy
- 4:03intuitive that I actually just fell into this
- 4:06energy. where it's more embodied, I think, so
- 4:10it feels more natural and less performative than
- 4:13earlier parts of my life. I think I need to still
- 4:16move into that part of me. I'm not there yet.
- 4:21It's a daily practice to worry. I wanted to speak
- 4:27with you, Kelsey, because you have just come
- 4:29back from a mega... Well, I would consider at
- 4:33least a mega life... adventure, really. I love
- 4:41travel. I gather you love travel as well. And
- 4:46when I go away, I like to take my microphone
- 4:49with me, record random sounds and take my deck
- 4:53of tarot or my oracle cards with me and do a
- 4:55little reading for the listeners. And I love
- 4:58taking people with me. I just find that getting
- 5:00away from my life is such, it's not necessarily
- 5:04an escape. But it certainly shows me other ways
- 5:08of being and actually allows me to get back to
- 5:12me. Would you mind telling the dear listeners
- 5:15about your adventure that you've just come back
- 5:18from? Absolutely. And it is a massive adventure
- 5:22and I do feel the same way about travel. And
- 5:24I think that's part of the beauty of this conversation
- 5:26is how it weaves into our lives and why we're
- 5:29drawn to it, like on a soul level. But to give
- 5:32you the... more condensed version. We left America.
- 5:37We were in Washington state. I have a son. So
- 5:40my husband, my son and I and our two cats. So
- 5:42we brought our two cats with us along on this
- 5:44adventure. And I have the privilege of having
- 5:46dual citizenship in the UK. So we went to Scotland
- 5:50and to the Highlands. I was just fell in love
- 5:53with Faraz, which is this little town on the
- 5:55Moray coast right outside of the Highlands on
- 5:58the North Sea. And so we just moved there on
- 6:00a whim. We didn't have a place to live. We didn't
- 6:02have housing. we just showed up and said, I'm
- 6:05going to trust that this is all going to work
- 6:06out for me. And over the months we were planning
- 6:10to stay there, but intuitively life took us other
- 6:13directions. And so we spent some time down near
- 6:17Birmingham. And then we also ended up following
- 6:20our, I know we were in more like Worcester area,
- 6:24but. I just scrunched up my face. The second
- 6:29that Kelsey said, Birmingham, I went, oh dear.
- 6:33Which is so interesting because from an outside
- 6:35perspective, we found the beauty in it. We had
- 6:38heard some opinions and things, and we ended
- 6:41up just having these delightful experiences in
- 6:44and around Birmingham and just between women's
- 6:47circles. I did some residence weeks in mediumship
- 6:50while I was in the UK. In that time, I actually
- 6:53went to Bali for a bit and came back. And then
- 6:56we ended up following our heart to Croatia, to
- 6:59the Adriatic Sea. So it was all in all about
- 7:02eight and a half months. And our goal each step
- 7:06of the way was to obtain visas and stay. And
- 7:08each step we kept getting redirected, redirected,
- 7:11redirected. And we just realized that we were
- 7:15being redirected back to the United States, which
- 7:17we had said we would never come back. And here
- 7:20we are living back in Montana and Western Montana
- 7:23in this beautiful little mountain town that we've
- 7:25lived in for 10 years on and off. And something
- 7:29about this mountain town just couldn't, our hearts
- 7:32couldn't let go of it. Like it just drew us back.
- 7:34And so living an intuitively guided life or trusting
- 7:37that, that is for sure not our last time with
- 7:41Scotland or living there or being there. It just
- 7:43was meant to be. You know, when you go on adventures,
- 7:46when you travel or when you move, I think the
- 7:48human mind always says, this is permanent. This
- 7:51is my place. I'm going to land and this is where
- 7:54I'm going to stay. And we caught ourselves really
- 7:56having that permanent mindset, but life intuition
- 7:59and my spirit team had other plans for that evolving.
- 8:05And so then we went, okay, what if this isn't
- 8:07permanent? What if it's just a big grand adventure
- 8:09and we see where it goes? I think many people
- 8:13get so caught up in the everyday, what about
- 8:17mortgages, what about work, what about this,
- 8:19what about that. It's, and forgive me for saying
- 8:21this, I'm sure you've heard this many times,
- 8:23but it's so brave of you, especially with a family,
- 8:25young family too, to just trust that gut instinct
- 8:29that it's going to be okay. And lo and behold,
- 8:32it is, it works out perfect. it actually is okay
- 8:37to feel brave. Like, you know, sometimes we don't
- 8:39claim that for ourselves or say, wow, I was being
- 8:41really courageous or really brave or a little
- 8:44bit overly optimistic even and trusted, but it
- 8:47does coming off of it, it does feel that way.
- 8:50And it is really nice to trust yourself, trust
- 8:53your spirit team, trust the information you're
- 8:56getting, and then it all works out for you. And
- 8:59to have that proven over and over again, I think
- 9:01is really delightful. because it rewires your
- 9:04brain a little bit. It rewires the way you look
- 9:06at life. It's funny, you say this and I'm reflecting
- 9:09on my own life and I've always just... gone for
- 9:12it, if it feels good, just go for it and it will
- 9:15always work out no matter what. I've never, this
- 9:18sounds really cocky and touch wood, but I've
- 9:21never been in dire straits. We have quit our
- 9:24day jobs and we went to live in France ourselves.
- 9:27It didn't work out, but what an experience we
- 9:29had. And when we came back, we were in a different
- 9:32place and different position that we thought,
- 9:34actually, we don't want to be. where we were
- 9:36we want to be somewhere different and we came
- 9:38and settled here and we were able to buy our
- 9:40own house we would never been able to afford
- 9:41to buy a house where we were so it's just this
- 9:43domino effect of trusting your instinct going
- 9:46with it and trusting that it's going to be okay.
- 9:49And this is what I really want to talk to you
- 9:50today about, Kelsey, your utter trust in your
- 9:53intuition, and this comes up so many times in
- 9:55your podcast, but also with travel. And I want
- 9:58to really delve into how travel affects you.
- 10:01But before we go there, would you mind just sharing
- 10:04with the listeners, and myself, actually, because
- 10:06I don't know the story yet. What is your background?
- 10:09What is your mediumship journey? We all have
- 10:11one. Where did you start? And was there a catalyst
- 10:14that opened your door? I love being able to share
- 10:20this because it is such an interesting evolution.
- 10:23I think of, again, trusting the full trust and
- 10:28flow. So as a child, I was extra sensory perceptive.
- 10:34I would share that. But the adult system schooling,
- 10:37it just isn't designed to support. young child
- 10:40saying I see the spirit of someone in my house
- 10:44and That door shut really early, but I was always
- 10:48very sensitive. I'm neurodiverse very sensitive
- 10:51to You know all my senses feel very expansive
- 10:55even as a child, but I coped a lot in college
- 11:01and beyond by just trying to be really normal,
- 11:05like that neurotypical shutting it all down,
- 11:08living that career life. And so I just said,
- 11:10okay, I'm going to focus on my energy and set
- 11:12a goal to become a corporate business management
- 11:16consultant. And I went to school for my, you
- 11:19know, bachelor's and master's. I just really,
- 11:22and I achieved that and it was empty. And I loved
- 11:26the people I worked with and I loved the work
- 11:28I got to do that actually was impactful. But
- 11:31as I reached that goal right around that time,
- 11:35my whole life was like, this is not your path.
- 11:38There's something here that is missing. I could
- 11:40feel it in my whole soul, my whole body. And
- 11:42so I just ended up, because it was such a dark
- 11:45night of the soul, such a part of that spiritual
- 11:48awakening, I got really curious. So Reiki was
- 11:51my entry into all of this and then really loved
- 11:55Reiki, had a small Reiki practice for a bit.
- 11:59And then I remember being in this group, it was
- 12:04advanced energy intuition. I was in for a couple
- 12:06of years with this amazing teacher and one day
- 12:08we did a class on mediumship and I remember feeling
- 12:12the presence of that first person come through
- 12:14in a normal context, meaning like in a class
- 12:17context not out in the world and being like,
- 12:20I felt this before. This is what I've been feeling
- 12:23this whole time and the puzzle pieces just click,
- 12:26click, click or the gears I should say clicked
- 12:28all together and Then, it was that point of mediumship
- 12:33where the floodgates opened a little bit too
- 12:36much. I know this is very personal, but I think
- 12:39you'll appreciate how this happens. I was getting
- 12:42a massage and I remember just feeling like I
- 12:46couldn't enjoy the massage because this woman's
- 12:49grandmother was in the room with us and really
- 12:52talkative. That's when I went, okay, I need to
- 12:54learn about this. I need to learn how to connect
- 12:57with the spirit world. have boundaries with this
- 13:00and I just have been in the pursuit of it ever
- 13:04since. I quit my corporate job, never looked
- 13:06back on that and made a complete life shift,
- 13:10all while being with a partner who knew me a
- 13:12certain way and was like, okay, we're going this
- 13:14way. And honestly, we're getting to know this
- 13:17whole new identity inversion, which is who I've
- 13:23become. And motherhood was a big, honestly, a
- 13:25big portal to that too. very open in that time
- 13:28and so I had to actually just learn how to navigate
- 13:33that with some some tough time, some grace, some
- 13:38ease but overall it was just a this goal was
- 13:41never mind and my soul's asking me to do something
- 13:43else. We're recording this in February. I was
- 13:48listening to your episode, your most recent episode
- 13:50yesterday, and you were saying that you've lived
- 13:52in almost all 50 states, you've done loads of
- 13:56different jobs. You do talk about having this
- 13:59utter trust that everything will be okay in your
- 14:01intuition. Where does that come from? How did
- 14:04you find that and how can you, how do you sustain
- 14:07that? The depth of that question feels so resonant
- 14:11and... I'm like listening for what's coming up
- 14:14because I feel like something in me wants to
- 14:17speak beyond what my cognitive mind wants to
- 14:20say. If I'm being just full on honest, which
- 14:23I always try to be, but mostly with myself in
- 14:25this moment too, I feel that I ignored it to
- 14:29a point where life got so hard and so tough and
- 14:34so troublesome and so dark that there was no
- 14:37other way but to figure out why. and then to
- 14:41reconnect with that part of myself that I'd shut
- 14:43down for so long. And the minute I started doing
- 14:47that and honestly coming back into the connection
- 14:50never left, but it had to keep getting louder
- 14:52and louder and louder for me to listen. And finally
- 14:55it got to a point where I said, this isn't working.
- 14:58Life isn't working. It's not supposed to be like
- 15:00this. And that's when I started listening again.
- 15:03And when I started building that trust of like,
- 15:05I got a little, Oh, maybe I shouldn't, you know,
- 15:08order that drink because it's not actually one
- 15:10I prefer. It's not one my body even likes. It
- 15:14happened when I quit drinking alcohol or changed
- 15:16foods and all of these things. When I started
- 15:18listening to what my body and my intuition and
- 15:21myself was telling me, that's when my life got
- 15:25honestly magical. And it went from very dark
- 15:29and very hard to everything's actually working
- 15:33out for me and my life is magic. And then I knew,
- 15:36okay, this is what it's supposed to be like,
- 15:38at least in my experience of this life. This
- 15:41is our human birthright. This is what we get
- 15:44to experience. And maybe part of the experience
- 15:47is being told it's not, moving through that and
- 15:51coming back to it for a lot of people so that
- 15:53they can recognize that it actually can be this
- 15:56way. So you took it forward literally with everything
- 16:01that you do? Yeah. Amazing. You were saying to
- 16:04your husband it was like or getting to know you
- 16:08again. How did that go down? Because I'm really
- 16:11curious because listeners will know that my other
- 16:14half, Simon, doesn't believe in any of this stuff.
- 16:17Just because where this has stemmed from for
- 16:19me, there's like question marks over, is this
- 16:22real or is there something else going on? I presume
- 16:24that was not your case and he was like fully
- 16:27on board with it. No, he wasn't. Okay, so how
- 16:30did this work out then? Let's dish. You know,
- 16:37I will say just to I hear your experience so
- 16:39deeply and the mediums I know and the people
- 16:43that I'm in circle with have a very similar experience
- 16:46that their other half is With them in it meaning
- 16:49they're there and they're still in the relationship
- 16:51But it's kind of this piece that doesn't get
- 16:53talked about a lot or there's or they don't believe
- 16:56it or there's not a lot of interest in it and
- 16:58you can't of course you can't force that on anybody
- 17:00they have to decide what they will let in spiritually
- 17:03in their own time, which is really hard. But
- 17:06effectively, I feel grateful that he's open -minded
- 17:10and curious. And I think at first, he was like,
- 17:14that's cool. It's a little weird, but that's
- 17:17cool. And then it kind of went to, you seem really
- 17:21happy. And then it went to, by you doing this
- 17:25and being in it and all these experiences, it
- 17:27became too hard to ignore. the feedback or the
- 17:31connections. I had a reading I did with one of
- 17:35his friends where something came through so strongly.
- 17:37It was about a uniform and his grandfather. When
- 17:40I was describing it, the friend went into the
- 17:42closet and said, this uniform. I think there
- 17:46was moments like that with my husband where he
- 17:47went, okay, I'm listening. You can't make that
- 17:52up. Then it was, you seem really happy. You're
- 17:56a great spouse. Even compared to what I was,
- 18:01I just was kinder, more empathetic, I think trying
- 18:03to be more loving because I was more in tune
- 18:06with myself. And I do think that helped evolve
- 18:08it. But it's been, we always say we've dated
- 18:11six or seven different people within our marriage
- 18:14because we're both always evolving. And you have
- 18:18to get to know that person again and then say,
- 18:21do I? Do I like them? Do I want to be with them?
- 18:24Every time. And that's something that isn't talked
- 18:27about as much in spiritual evolution within partnership.
- 18:31It's an episode that I've been playing with,
- 18:34actually a guest episode, but with Simon, with
- 18:36himself. I don't know if he'd be up for it. Part
- 18:39of me is like, I don't want to know how he feels
- 18:43about it, because it's like if he completely
- 18:46thinks it's just a load of mumbo jumbo. It's
- 18:48such a big part of my life now that I've thought,
- 18:51oh, that's scary if he thinks that. But you're
- 18:54right, relationships, they go through seasons
- 18:56and you need to learn to live with each other
- 18:59over and over again. Over and over, especially
- 19:02in the context of these things that are not as
- 19:06mainstream or talked about and they're not as
- 19:08socialized. I do feel though that in the context
- 19:12of all of this, there was a time in our... recent
- 19:15human history, where this wouldn't have been
- 19:18as strange or odd. And I think it would have
- 19:20been talked about even in childhood. And I think
- 19:24about this with my own child. He's so socialized
- 19:26to trusting himself, to listening to his body,
- 19:29to his intuition, that it wouldn't be strange
- 19:31for him to have a partner in life that would
- 19:34have abilities open up. But because we live in
- 19:37the society and structures we've grown up in,
- 19:40it can take a lot more. expanding to accept that,
- 19:44I think, for our people. And everyone's on their
- 19:47own journey, but it is hard. And it can be kind
- 19:49of interesting too, because sometimes you see
- 19:51their curiosity peak and go from that's a load
- 19:55of whatever to, oh, do you want to tell me about
- 20:00it? And I think that's a beautiful evolution,
- 20:01that curiosity. Yeah. If this is chiming with
- 20:04listeners, I did interview last month Nat Lockett
- 20:08and she is bringing her children up with these
- 20:12gifts. Her children are realizing these gifts.
- 20:15She has had this her whole life and her husband
- 20:17is not natural to him, but he is open to it and
- 20:21he has experienced stuff. What Nat says is just
- 20:24try and make it as normal as possible because
- 20:26the more you make it weird or odd, the more you
- 20:29do want to shut it down. Oh, I love that. And
- 20:32I can't wait to listen to that episode. That
- 20:35feels so, yeah, so I just like feel it landing
- 20:38like, whoo. Okay, let's get on to travel, shall
- 20:43we? Oh, sure. We've established that you follow
- 20:47your instinct, you follow your gut. Dare I ask,
- 20:50what made you just pack up and go? Say, right,
- 20:55we're going to Scotland, we're going. How did
- 20:57that happen? So... I am blessed with the neurodivergent
- 21:01gift of impulsivity, which helps a little because
- 21:04what I find is when it is intuitively aligned
- 21:07and you close the gap between action or decision
- 21:13and moment, like there's momentum, right, decision
- 21:15and action, then you don't have time for your
- 21:18brain to second guess your intuition. And I'm
- 21:21not saying that our brains aren't wildly important
- 21:25for our existence because they absolutely are.
- 21:28I find though that that's where all of the programming
- 21:33doubts, fears, right? That's where all of that
- 21:35likes to get in. But if my decision to action
- 21:38is short, to close the gap, that's when the magic
- 21:41happens. And so I went on a, I would say a bit
- 21:45of a soul searching solo trip to Scotland. and
- 21:50fell so deeply in love with this place that I
- 21:54said, I have to live there. And I had a vision
- 21:57board that was full of every single photo from
- 21:59the Highland Coos to the, you know, every place
- 22:02I would want to be. And then I looked at one
- 22:05day and we had an opportunity where my husband
- 22:07had a gap in what he was doing and we had the
- 22:10resources saved up and we had a lease ending
- 22:12at exactly that date. And I looked around our
- 22:15life and I went, we're going. We're just going
- 22:19to go." And he was like, oh, okay, we'll go.
- 22:24And so we sold every bit of our belongings. We
- 22:27just had our suitcases, said goodbye. Eleven
- 22:30of them. Eleven suitcases from the last episode
- 22:34that you put out. I was shocked to hear that.
- 22:37I can only imagine the horror that the check
- 22:39-in agent saw as you came up to the desk. There
- 22:43was a lot of that. And to be honest, we were
- 22:45like, this is way too much stuff. We were like,
- 22:48never again. The reason we brought them is because
- 22:52we thought we'd be living years and years and
- 22:53years in Scotland. So why buy linens and pillows
- 22:56and things over? So then we just ended up carting
- 22:58them around everywhere. And they were so good
- 23:02about it. But we definitely learned still stuff,
- 23:06that much stuff. And that was only a fraction
- 23:08of what you own in a household. So it's very
- 23:12interesting, 11 suitcases, and two cats and a
- 23:16child. So granted, one of those suitcases was
- 23:19completely toys. We just said, you can pack whatever
- 23:21you can fit in this. So I didn't mean to interrupt
- 23:25you on purpose. No, it's okay. Just when you
- 23:28said that in your last episode, that really struck
- 23:29me. I thought, wow, that's a lot of baggage.
- 23:31Yeah, metaphorically and figuratively. So I think
- 23:37we were talking a little bit about how that happened.
- 23:40It was impulsive. but it was a vision board.
- 23:43So I looked up and just went, I'm going to make
- 23:45this happen. And it did. And so I went, oh my
- 23:48gosh, literally everything has aligned for this
- 23:52one day, this one moment, this one week. And
- 23:54it was the same concept of how we came back to
- 23:57Montana. When we made the decision, we had like
- 23:59two and a half or three weeks from what I remember
- 24:01between deciding to move to Scotland and leaving
- 24:04and selling everything. So it was a very short
- 24:08amount of time between the two. And I find that
- 24:10when I move, not hustle, not hectic either, not
- 24:14from chaos, but from assuredness, that is when
- 24:19you just trust. When you're on the road, life
- 24:23can be freeing, it can be chaotic. I wonder how
- 24:26travel affected your gifts. Did you notice any
- 24:30dips or revving up of your connection? Oh, yeah.
- 24:36So when... It's all of it, and when we're in
- 24:42the travel of chaos, the making flights, the
- 24:46getting it, I find that my inner world, my calm
- 24:51and just centering and grounding, it requires
- 24:52a lot more nervous system support, a lot more
- 24:55of that. But I find that mediumistically and
- 24:58stuff that feels pretty shut off when there's
- 25:00tons of chaos and overwhelm. But the minute we
- 25:03land somewhere, it's expansion. And so we decided
- 25:07early on when we knew we weren't going to be
- 25:09obtaining visas that we would use this as a time
- 25:13for me to expand my frame of reference for mediumship.
- 25:16That's actually how we positioned it as a family.
- 25:19Because when you're in new cultures, new places,
- 25:21and I'm curious, I really would love to hear
- 25:23how this is for you too. When you're traveling
- 25:25and your world is expanding, you're meeting new
- 25:27people, new foods, sights, smells, tastes. The
- 25:30wind in Scotland carried more messages than I've
- 25:33ever heard in my entire life. Like I just would
- 25:35sit with the wind and just receive. I mean, it
- 25:38was absolutely incredible. I find that you can
- 25:43actually then connect with more people. when
- 25:45they come to you, like the spirit world will
- 25:47connect you with more people. So I was able to
- 25:49read for people in Scotland, in the UK, in Portugal,
- 25:51and some other places. And then even in Croatia,
- 25:54you're learning new words, new language. And
- 25:56that allows you to then have someone in the spirit
- 25:59worlds come through and expand your frame of
- 26:01reference. And it ended up really being like
- 26:03that. So there were dips. There were definitely
- 26:05dips. There were really hard weeks. We were living
- 26:08in a 425 square foot caravan as a family of three
- 26:12with two kids. in the highlands, in a field.
- 26:16So that is where we ended up being guided to.
- 26:20And I loved it. I loved it and it was wild. It
- 26:25was absolutely wild. What month was this? What
- 26:27time of year was this? It was the best time of
- 26:30year to be doing that. It was May through September,
- 26:33October. And this was last year, right? Yeah.
- 26:372025, yeah. So apparently, yeah, summer, 2025
- 26:40is summer in Scotland. Last year was just phenomenal.
- 26:42Like they've never had such a good summer. Amazing.
- 26:46And I'm like, how did we land here for the best
- 26:50six months that they've had in such a long time
- 26:53of summer? I mean, I just felt like the luckiest
- 26:56human alive to be doing that, especially in a
- 27:00living situation like that, where you're just
- 27:03really almost just enough walls to have the elements
- 27:07out, but the minute you wake up, you're kind
- 27:09of just outside your door. Yeah, literally, yeah.
- 27:14I love that you bought in frame of reference.
- 27:16For me, it's not a case of if I go abroad, if
- 27:20I go somewhere, it's a new symbol, it's a new
- 27:22experience for me to translate for someone that
- 27:24I'm reading for. But what... for me at least,
- 27:28traveling does, especially in ancient places,
- 27:31connecting with the earth, connecting with ancient
- 27:34churches and temples in Asia, or whatever it
- 27:38might be, this conditioning that we have, it's
- 27:42all bollops. Like, it doesn't matter. We've been
- 27:46here for thousands, hundreds of thousands of
- 27:48years. And the things that we are so focused
- 27:52on in our lives, Really, when you strip it all
- 27:55back, it really doesn't matter. It's about the
- 27:57connections that we make, the rhythms of the
- 28:01earth that vibrate it. For me, it just opens
- 28:04up a new world and allows me to step into it.
- 28:08It doesn't necessarily allow me to ramp up my
- 28:10spiritual abilities, but it allows me to connect
- 28:13to a calmer, more peaceful, maybe not more peaceful,
- 28:18but... a more simple time that I think we all
- 28:22yearn for. I really do feel that. And thank you
- 28:25for sharing that. And also what you said about
- 28:27the symbol library was so powerful, just the
- 28:30way that the visual of that for like, yes, that's
- 28:35exactly what it is. It's allowing ourselves to
- 28:38have new things we can reference and these symbols,
- 28:41we understand what they mean for us so that we
- 28:43can help other people understand what it means
- 28:45for them, their loved one. And there is that
- 28:48something ancient where you just feel this is
- 28:51where my human is supposed to be spending more
- 28:53time. I remember walking through this path through
- 28:57the woods and going down to the river. And I
- 28:59did it a couple of times. And honestly, coming
- 29:02from that American, even though we had kind of
- 29:04rejected hustle culture for a long time and rejected
- 29:06some things coming from that way of just kind
- 29:10of. going quickly, it really allowed us to slow
- 29:13down. And I remember walking through the woods
- 29:15and turning and saying, there's a building under
- 29:18that. I think it was like Ivy or something and
- 29:21peering through it. And I felt like I was in
- 29:22the secret garden and I was discovering this
- 29:24old school building that was just, and I just
- 29:27thought this is in the middle of the woods and
- 29:29we can just be doing this. We can just be doing
- 29:33this. It's amazing. Are you inspired yet? I certainly
- 29:47am. I thank Kelsey from the bottom of my heart.
- 29:51I know I said this earlier on, but honestly,
- 29:53re -listening to this just makes me think we
- 29:56all just need to listen to ourselves so much
- 29:57more. The path of life could be so much more
- 30:01interesting if we all just followed that intuition,
- 30:03that instinct, to be just a bit more brave and
- 30:06courageous than we otherwise normally would.
- 30:09Okay, quick self -promotion. You can find me
- 30:13at the .sidekick .explorer. That is on Facebook,
- 30:16Instagram and threads. If you like this podcast,
- 30:20honestly, you'd be doing such a favour if you
- 30:22would either like it, subscribe, click that notification
- 30:24bell. I know I sound like a right tosser, but
- 30:28please, please, please, because it does help
- 30:30other people find this very organic, very indie
- 30:34podcast. Also, just to say, make sure you keep
- 30:37listening after the interview, because I've got
- 30:39a couple of announcements that I want to make.
- 30:42I've been to the US a few times, and there's
- 30:45always this phrase that bumbles around in my
- 30:46brain, and it says, in America, 100 miles is
- 30:50nothing, but 100 years is everything. And for
- 30:52us, 100 miles is massive, but 100 years is nothing.
- 30:57It feels very, very true and aligned. especially
- 31:02just connecting with friends in the UK. For me,
- 31:06I was like, I'm only a three -hour train ride,
- 31:08I'll just pop on the train down for a day or
- 31:10two, and they're like, what? I don't think it's
- 31:14true. Going down from Scotland, we drove from
- 31:18London all the way up. For us, that 13 -hour
- 31:21drive was no big deal because we're used to doing
- 31:23road trips like that, but people are like, you
- 31:25drove the whole way. It's true. No, it's just
- 31:29a different way of thinking things, but I love
- 31:33that we have so much culture here. We have so
- 31:36much opportunity to connect to old stuff like
- 31:41in our village, there's a church and part of
- 31:44it goes back to the Norman Conquest like 1066.
- 31:48And you can see on the side of the church, there's
- 31:51this marker where in Elizabethan times, my village
- 31:56was actually a port, a harbor. And it's like
- 31:59we're like 10 miles from the coast, but just
- 32:02shows the difference in the land has changed
- 32:04so much in that time that it's recorded on the
- 32:06corner of a church that this is where the water
- 32:09used to be. This is where the level used to be.
- 32:12And it's just like, I love it. It's just amazing.
- 32:16Yeah, it's incredible. to some of the most truly,
- 32:21like I keep saying magical, but imbued with just
- 32:24history and meaning and depth and spiritually,
- 32:29I'm curious how that is for you, but how it influences
- 32:33the way you work and the way you perceive things,
- 32:37because I'm pulling from a personal experience,
- 32:40like the first time I went to Edinburgh, I...
- 32:42could see layers like psychically of times past.
- 32:46And I remember looking at the cars going by and
- 32:48I turned my head and then they turned into like
- 32:51horse and buggy and the streets all changed and
- 32:53everyone was wearing different clothing for just
- 32:55that minute. And I went, I'm perceiving like
- 32:58the layers of a place. And in the States, I'd
- 33:01never had that happen before. Yeah. It's getting
- 33:03away from your norm, isn't it? It really is.
- 33:06It's also having a chance to look up. Everyone
- 33:09can do this. They can go to their local town,
- 33:11and because it's their local town, they know
- 33:13it. They know it inside and out. It's just second
- 33:15nature. But if you were just to stop and look
- 33:19above you, look at the buildings, and they don't
- 33:21have anything special, but suddenly you notice
- 33:23things about them, and you think, oh, OK, I didn't
- 33:26notice that before. Maybe there's a wind vane
- 33:29on the peak of a roof or the windows or a certain
- 33:32design or something, or that they've got stained
- 33:34glass in the window. And it's things like that
- 33:38that I love noticing when we're traveling. I
- 33:40mean, when we're away, I take so many photos.
- 33:43Like, my phone album is just bursting because
- 33:47I just take so many photos. Because I'm so curious
- 33:50about what is different. And that is what I also
- 33:53love about me. I'm really curious about what
- 33:56I can get from the other side and what they can
- 33:58bring through. How they use my symbol library.
- 34:02But definitely for me, traveling is just about
- 34:04connecting to what was and also experiencing
- 34:08different cultures, experiencing different ways
- 34:11of believing or different belief systems. And
- 34:15I wonder with you, Kelsey, did you experience
- 34:18that going through the UK, Croatia, and Bali
- 34:23as well? Did that allow you to open up a different
- 34:27way of thinking about spirituality or a way of
- 34:30your mediumship? How did that work out? It shifted
- 34:35everything, actually. It shifted me. It shifted
- 34:39what I felt like. Here's the way I will put it.
- 34:43When we live our daily lives in a place, a place
- 34:45we've known or a place we call home around people
- 34:48we've known, it's beautiful. And until we...
- 34:51remember that everyone else on the planet is
- 34:54living their own version of that, we can often
- 34:57think that this is the only way. And so when
- 35:00we go experience other people's versions of that
- 35:03or their day -to -day lives, it reminds us that
- 35:05we have the full co -creation opportunity to
- 35:09live in any way we choose, really. Bali was a
- 35:13very big part of that for me. I ended up staying
- 35:16with a family in one of their traditional homes
- 35:20as they were preparing for a wedding and seeing
- 35:23and being invited in to help prepare for that.
- 35:26And they were just so lovely and so caring. And
- 35:29what's funny, you know, when you're there, I
- 35:32just felt so much gratitude. You just kind of
- 35:34hands in the middle of your heart space and gently
- 35:37kind of bow to everybody as you meet them or
- 35:39as you go by. And I picked that up. And so I
- 35:43find it really funny even now being back in the
- 35:45States when someone has an exchange with me like
- 35:48that, I find myself still bowing in that way
- 35:50and feeling like that actually, even though it's
- 35:53not part of my culture, it was introduced in
- 35:55such a loving way, it feels like something that
- 35:57is really beautiful to bring into life. So yeah,
- 36:01I do think travel changes you because how can
- 36:04it not, if you're open. I do know some people
- 36:07travel and it makes them want to stay more concrete
- 36:11in who they are. if you know what I mean by that,
- 36:14that there's a certain archetype. But I find
- 36:16that if you go in with an open heart and mind,
- 36:19you might just have the very best experience
- 36:23spiritually of your entire life, being around
- 36:26other people who are living their life in a way
- 36:27that feels expressed to them. I also find that
- 36:32when things go wrong... Which they do all the
- 36:35time. All the time, all the time. It's not only
- 36:38an opportunity for you to learn from that and
- 36:41to test your resilience, but also, again, I'm
- 36:46going to keep going back to this concept of symbol
- 36:48library. It's a new experience for you to experience,
- 36:51and it's something you wouldn't necessarily experience
- 36:54in your own home country, in your own hometown.
- 36:58And those emotions, those activities, those things
- 37:02that happen to us when we're away. they allow
- 37:06us to understand more information that comes
- 37:09through. That's how I feel mediumship works,
- 37:12is that they use our friendly presence, they
- 37:14use our experiences to try and indicate how they
- 37:17want to be represented. And the more experiences
- 37:21we have, the better job we can do of that. You
- 37:24said it so beautifully. I wholeheartedly agree
- 37:27with that. I think it's actually... now believe
- 37:30for my journey, it's my duty to the work I do
- 37:33and the people I serve to expand that as much
- 37:36as possible through learning different languages,
- 37:39different styles, food, all of it, customs, beliefs.
- 37:42I do think that helps us serve the spirit world
- 37:45in a way that's more expansive. And I actually,
- 37:48if you're open to it, want to spend just a minute
- 37:51sharing about when things go wrong. Please do.
- 37:54Yeah, are you okay? Yeah, because things really
- 37:57go wrong. I think it's actually one of the most
- 38:00important parts of travel and the way we navigate
- 38:02it, because a lot of times you hear people's
- 38:06highlight reel and it's just not realistic. It's
- 38:08like how you navigate the absolute shit that
- 38:11hits the fan, as we say. I'm going to give a
- 38:16few examples. So for instance, we've had issues
- 38:19with baggage, with our car. We had like a whole,
- 38:23whole crazy situation with nonstop car things
- 38:26and trying to sell it back. We had in Bali, I
- 38:29ended up in the hospital and I was there alone.
- 38:32And you can look at those things and go, that's
- 38:36horrible. Or you can look at that and go, I'm
- 38:40learning resiliency and in the resiliency of
- 38:42this moment. how I show up, how I treat the moment,
- 38:46how my energy is, how my mindset is, and spiritually
- 38:49how I'm open to guidance about learning can actually
- 38:53help me be a better human, a better frame of
- 38:57reference, if you let it. And I also think it
- 39:00teaches us where our areas for growth are. if
- 39:05I notice like right if it's a stress inducing
- 39:07situation or you're reactive or maybe it's triggering
- 39:10some shadowy parts or some little inner child
- 39:13of like needing safety and protection that got
- 39:15triggered a lot for us when we were traveling
- 39:17because I feel like I always say to my husband
- 39:19I feel like our seven -year -olds came out all
- 39:20the time and we're very busy because we wanted
- 39:24safety and security and we had pretty much zero
- 39:26of that and And so I find the dynamics of that
- 39:30can be really telling and really helpful in expanding,
- 39:34but I'm curious how that is for you too, because
- 39:36stuff just, it never goes as planned. My best
- 39:39set of expectations, it's pretty much the deviation
- 39:42of the farthest further away point of that. Would
- 39:46you share an experience that you have had that
- 39:50has made you more resilient, and how has that
- 39:54translated into your spirituality? There's a
- 39:58few coming through. The first one that came through
- 40:01isn't the one I would choose normally, but I
- 40:04feel like it came through so I'm going to share
- 40:06it. Okay. Yeah, it's just the one that feels
- 40:09the most strange and interesting. It's not very
- 40:13deep or dark, but it's just this one that's standing
- 40:16right in my consciousness. We purchased a car
- 40:18in the UK thinking we would stay indefinitely
- 40:22or for years. So we had purchased this car and
- 40:25then six months later we had to figure out how
- 40:28we got the car. But I want to take you back to
- 40:31how this all unfolded, because I find it really,
- 40:34really important to share the intuition. We had
- 40:38found a car online that was a great fit for us.
- 40:41And so we flew my husband from the Highlands
- 40:43down to London, and he took the train to go look
- 40:46at the car. And as he was there about to start
- 40:49negotiating, not negotiating, but talking about
- 40:51the purchase process, I intuitively heard, don't
- 40:55do it. This isn't the car for you." So I text
- 40:58him and I said, you have to walk away from the
- 41:00car. And he texted me back a few minutes later,
- 41:03I know, look what I found, that they didn't disclose.
- 41:06And so we had spent a lot, you know, money, time,
- 41:08resources flying him down there. So he got back
- 41:10on the train, headed, had a great day, solo day
- 41:14in London, eating his way through the city. Came
- 41:17back up on the overnight sleeper and... Said
- 41:21I'm gonna just wait till I hear that's the one
- 41:23so I'm online looking I'm online looking and
- 41:25I hear that's the one so we buy it Someone delivers
- 41:28it to our house through one of those online sites
- 41:30never done that before and I thought it's so
- 41:33interesting so fast forward six months and we're
- 41:36like going to try to sell the car and the odometer
- 41:40from what they had recorded for people maybe
- 41:43who don't know about the Mott process. They had
- 41:45recorded it in kilometers instead of miles and
- 41:49made it ineligible for us to sell. And so what
- 41:52ended up happening is the company just took the
- 41:55car back and we got our money back. So we had
- 41:57this beautiful car for six months. We just paid
- 41:59for the mileage we owned. They took it back and
- 42:01realized they had to fix that mistake and we
- 42:04couldn't fix it. And we didn't have to go through
- 42:07trying to sell a vehicle and moving. And Had
- 42:11we gone with the first car, had I not listened,
- 42:13that was such a strange and random experience.
- 42:16We had to be very resilient, and it was stressful
- 42:19and chaotic, but we had to go, okay, there's
- 42:22a reason this is happening. There's a reason
- 42:24we have this specific car, and there's a reason
- 42:26that the odometer is wrong, and there's a reason
- 42:28that, oh, they're just going to take it back.
- 42:31How did that impact my spirituality? Intuitively,
- 42:35I had to really trust. It's one thing to say
- 42:38it out loud. It's one thing to get on the internet
- 42:42or be in practice and say, I follow my intuition.
- 42:45But to live it requires a certain type of audacity
- 42:48and self -trust. And that experience taught me
- 42:52that, oh yeah, I am meant to listen. And this
- 42:55is exactly why this unfolded the way it did.
- 42:58So it's just very strange. What did your husband
- 43:01find? What put him off the first cut? So in the...
- 43:07Car itself. They said it had not been in an accident
- 43:10But there were signs that it may have been an
- 43:11accident and then on the top the entire Like
- 43:15paint job was had this strange Cover over it
- 43:19like it had this strange modeling happening with
- 43:22the paint bubbling up and we're we are very conscious
- 43:24of mold and those type of things. And then they
- 43:28did disclose when he asked about it that it had
- 43:29been sitting out in an area that had been close
- 43:32to I believe some sort of like factory or something
- 43:35and maybe had some leaks as well. Best leave
- 43:39that one back on the forecourt. And it looked
- 43:43beautiful online and perfect and wonderful. It
- 43:47wasn't super easily to the eye, like you just
- 43:49really had to look to find it. But I was like
- 43:52so grateful in that moment that we just both
- 43:55knew, right? And that's not an experience you
- 43:57would necessarily have had if she just stayed
- 43:59at home or at least the stresses that go with
- 44:02that of... having to negotiate a car purchase
- 44:06in a different country, different tax system,
- 44:09different MOT system, different insurance system,
- 44:12difference of the road. The difference of the
- 44:14road, all of it, and the insurance, right? There's
- 44:17not very many people who will insure what they
- 44:21call it XPAT, but immigrant insurance if you
- 44:24don't have a driving record. in the UK. So just
- 44:28trying to even navigate that and drive around.
- 44:32I remember we couldn't drive the car. We didn't
- 44:33have a car and we weren't near public transportation.
- 44:36So I had walked into town. It was a mile into
- 44:38town to do some things. And then I had decided
- 44:43I'm tired of walking this back road. So I got
- 44:46on Facebook Marketplace and I looked for bicycles
- 44:49and I found this purple butterfly bicycle and
- 44:53I messaged them and they said, oh, my dad's available.
- 44:55You can come walk to our house now and pay us,
- 44:58do a bank transfer and pick it up. And so I remember
- 45:00pulling up to our little area and my husband's
- 45:04like, you left on foot and you arrived back on
- 45:06a purple butterfly bicycle. Because we couldn't
- 45:11drive the car yet. I laugh at all of that, like
- 45:14those are not things you do at home. I just don't
- 45:17think. And I remember sitting in the living room
- 45:19with this amazing, this beautiful Scottish family
- 45:22and they were just joking with each other and
- 45:25then joking with me and everyone was having a
- 45:27laugh. And he's like, they're like, my dad's
- 45:29back out in the shed and he's tuning up the bike
- 45:31for me and all these things. It was just the
- 45:33most delightful experience to have. It was so
- 45:38random. Something that would never have happened
- 45:39again opens up your frame of reference. to something
- 45:43which you would never would have experienced
- 45:45otherwise. Yeah. Amazing. I'm wondering, I mean,
- 45:51you sound, I mean, I said to you, as we open
- 45:53this conversation, you are the most calming influence
- 45:56on me, at least because I was very stressed before
- 46:00this, but you are very calming yourself. I wonder,
- 46:03when it comes to your grounding practices or
- 46:06any sort of spiritual routines, How did they
- 46:08change on your travels? And I suppose also beforehand,
- 46:13were they even important to you beforehand? Yeah,
- 46:17so they were important beforehand, but I do think
- 46:21there's this thing that happens. Well, it's happened
- 46:23in my journey. I've heard it talked about in
- 46:25other people's journeys as well, where we get
- 46:28caught in this spiritual perfectionism, where
- 46:31I have to do it this way or this routine or I
- 46:33have to wear... For me, it was like this whole
- 46:35phase of wearing white linen more than I needed
- 46:38to. Or like, I have to pull a card today. The
- 46:42have to's, right? But when you're traveling,
- 46:45there's no spaciousness. For have to's, it's
- 46:46only what you can do. What feels good? What can
- 46:49I bring into the moment? And so my spiritual
- 46:52practices went from needing to be like hit the
- 46:54yoga mat and do all these things to like, what
- 46:56can I do in a single breath? What can I do in
- 46:58a single moment? Can I light a candle? Can I
- 47:02sing a song? Can I dance with my child in the
- 47:03living room? Can I do a five -minute walk in
- 47:07the wind before bed and sit with my hands on
- 47:09my heart and just breathe? And they became attuned
- 47:13to the moment instead of a ritual and routine
- 47:16that had to be followed. So they changed completely.
- 47:20I love that. I love the way that you bring up
- 47:24the expectation. Not the expectation. I think
- 47:28that's more my word. you have this routine going
- 47:30on and then you're traveling and you're in this
- 47:32different moment and you've just got to switch.
- 47:34You've got to switch things up and you've got
- 47:36to maybe even not do things. I remember when
- 47:39I went to Thailand last year, I thought, oh,
- 47:42it's going to be amazing. Thailand and Cambodia,
- 47:45temples everywhere, Buddhist monks are going
- 47:47to be so zen, it's going to be amazing. And it
- 47:50was, but I didn't have two seconds to have to
- 47:54myself because it's so chaotic and so frenetic
- 47:57everywhere. And you've got to going to yourself
- 48:00and you've got to ground yourself in a different
- 48:02way. And I found the way that I grounded myself
- 48:04was visiting temples, but not having a moment
- 48:08of quiet, but just observing everyone else there
- 48:12and everyone is there for the same reason and
- 48:15realizing that actually everyone here is connected.
- 48:18We're all connected. You don't necessarily get
- 48:21that. I don't get that here. I just found that
- 48:24really interesting. I love it. But yeah, the
- 48:26rituals and the grounding processes can be very
- 48:29different, can't they? Yeah, they really can.
- 48:32And mine evolved from sitting in stillness to
- 48:35movement. Like dancing and moving, like just
- 48:39swaying in the wind or chasing after a laughing
- 48:42child and just taking in the laughter. That felt...
- 48:47more like the being in the moment and feeling
- 48:49grounding was actually something I probably have
- 48:51been searching for my whole life, if I'm being
- 48:54honest. I love that. And have you taken that
- 48:57back home with you? I have. And I'm grateful
- 49:00to have the awareness to be able to do that.
- 49:03It started in Scotland, but something shifted
- 49:05in Croatia. We didn't have a car, so we were
- 49:08on foot everywhere, backpacks to get groceries.
- 49:11And it was like a 20, 30 minute walk to the restaurants
- 49:14in the old town. And just walking as a family,
- 49:19hand in hand, knowing that it's going to take
- 49:21three hours to accomplish dinner out and being
- 49:25so present because you have no other option.
- 49:28It's you and the sea and the walk and the people
- 49:31around you and the lights in the distance knowing
- 49:34you're eventually going to arrive there and doing
- 49:36that all with a very tired and sometimes often
- 49:39cranky five -year -old. It changes you and I'm
- 49:44grateful to bring that back to the States because
- 49:47I feel a little resilient and bubbled up from
- 49:49the chaos that surrounds me. I don't feel like
- 49:52I have to be part of it anymore. Oh, I like that.
- 49:54I like that. Do you feel like you can disconnect
- 49:57because there's another reality out there? Yeah,
- 50:01it is a bit of disconnect and it also feels like
- 50:03we create our reality bubble in our home and
- 50:07so you can go out into that and... be under fluorescent
- 50:10lights in a shopping center, and then you can
- 50:13come home and know that the reality you've created
- 50:15in your own space, it will always exist as you
- 50:18nurture it. And when you step back into it, it's
- 50:21like being transported back to another time and
- 50:23place. Yeah, absolutely. You've answered all
- 50:27my questions. I love it. Thank you so much for
- 50:32coming on, Kelsey. Is there anything you want
- 50:35to share with the dear listeners? about your
- 50:38thoughts of whether that be travel or intuition.
- 50:43The floor is yours. Is there anything you'd like
- 50:46to say? And if you don't, that's fine. But if
- 50:47you would, then it's yours. Oh, thank you. It's
- 50:51been such a delight. Yeah, I felt very calm in
- 50:54this conversation. And I always love how the
- 50:57themes and energy of a conversation emerge between
- 51:00two people. It's actually one of... my greatest
- 51:02joys in life is to have these conversations and
- 51:05meet someone halfway across the world just to
- 51:07explore and dive into whatever comes up. But
- 51:11I do feel the bubblings up of a message, so I'm
- 51:14going to just do what we do in mediumship and
- 51:17start talking before I know what I'm actually
- 51:18going to say. So we'll see what comes out. Go
- 51:21for it. Go for it. Around travel, I would just
- 51:25feel the necessary... words to say or what's
- 51:30really coming through is that make it your own.
- 51:33Sometimes we're taught what a holiday looks like.
- 51:36We're taught what a trip is supposed to look
- 51:38like. And if it looks like one night in a tent
- 51:41in a field overlooking a castle and you're half
- 51:44miserable and half happy, maybe that's what the
- 51:47delight of travel looks like for you. Maybe it's
- 51:49stepping out into the sunshine or doing something
- 51:51a little different in your day to day because
- 51:54It doesn't have to be this big grand thing and
- 51:57it can be, but it can also be something so accessible
- 52:00and so small because that one thing can just
- 52:03completely change everything you've known about
- 52:05your life or that moment and follow your intuition
- 52:09when you're in the travel. Like if you're in
- 52:12it and you've had this master plan in your mind,
- 52:14but in the moment you think I want to go sit
- 52:16in that place or I want to stop at this bench,
- 52:19oftentimes it's because you're about to witness
- 52:21something. that you would have missed otherwise
- 52:24or be part of something beautiful or watch that
- 52:27bird that will emerge over the river. And we,
- 52:32when we trust that, we actually get to experience
- 52:34a different aspect of ourselves and our reality.
- 52:37So just really reminding you that you are co
- 52:40-creating that experience and it doesn't matter
- 52:42what anyone else says around that. And when it
- 52:44comes to day -to -day life, I always like to
- 52:46leave it with this just vast expansiveness of
- 52:48love. And the reminder that at any moment, even
- 52:52if you feel disconnected, even if you feel like
- 52:54it's an absolute day that's just going, you know,
- 52:57not your way, there is always a way to come back
- 53:01to the joy of life to your center, even if it's
- 53:04especially if it's not perfect. Place your hand
- 53:07on a tree, walk out and let the rain hit your
- 53:09face and dance a little bit, whatever it takes
- 53:13to remind yourself that you're Human, you are
- 53:16alive and you have the distinct and beautiful
- 53:18pleasure of being alive in any given moment.
- 53:21It can shift you from where you were to maybe
- 53:24a place that feels more loving and you are always,
- 53:28always loved. Your spirit team, your guides,
- 53:31your loved ones in spirit, they have your back.
- 53:32And when we move through life that way, we often
- 53:36realize that there is a vast endless well of
- 53:40love, magic and experience waiting for us at
- 53:43every turn. Absolutely beautiful. Well done.
- 53:46Thank you so much. Where can the listeners find
- 53:50you? Yeah, they can find me on podcasts, SoulThreads,
- 53:55on Kelsey Anderson Intuitive, that's all my handles
- 53:58and my website, and also now on YouTube. And
- 54:02I just so love connecting, so really anybody
- 54:05who feels called to connect or listen or learn
- 54:08or just tune in for a moment, I feel like it's
- 54:11such a joy. I will put all of that on in the
- 54:14show notes if anybody wants to reach out to you
- 54:17then they know where to. Are you doing readings
- 54:20at the moment? Are your books open? Yeah they
- 54:22are. I open them about 30 days in advance so
- 54:25there are sessions every week that I open up
- 54:28and you can just keep an eye out for those coming
- 54:31in and I love that. Where are you off to next?
- 54:35That's a great question. Well, I've been toying
- 54:37around with coming back to the UK here pretty
- 54:39soon for maybe another residential week with
- 54:42some great teachers there, but potentially Bali
- 54:45again this year. And in Montana, we have so much
- 54:50nature here and lakes and mountains, I think,
- 54:53for us. the everyday of getting out into the
- 54:56woods with the mountain lions and the bears and
- 54:59all of the other creatures. Take your bear spray
- 55:01with you. Take our bear spray. We're not in Scotland
- 55:05anymore. We don't have to worry about that. The
- 55:08squirrels bite where you are. They do. They do
- 55:12bite where we are. A little feistier. But I can
- 55:16feel myself being called back over that way and
- 55:20different places, but the same place is all the
- 55:24same. Wonderful. Thank you so much, Kelsey. I
- 55:28wish you all the luck and love in your travels.
- 55:32Thank you so much for coming on. Thank you. Thank
- 55:34you. You as well. The wonderful, the incredible
- 55:41Kelsey Anderson everyone, how did you find that?
- 55:45I so admire Kelsey's pure conviction in just
- 55:48trusting her intuition and following her guiding
- 55:52star. We've done it a couple of times and it's
- 55:55just amazing to see where life takes you just
- 55:58to have that trust in wherever you're going to
- 56:01go is going to be okay. Okay, during the break,
- 56:06I said I've got a couple of things to say. Just
- 56:09future Matt talking here. So in the interview,
- 56:11you'll have heard Kelsey talk about her podcast,
- 56:14SoulThreads. Kelsey has actually changed the
- 56:16name of her podcast from SoulThreads to Reclamation.
- 56:20All the show notes are correct. So if you're
- 56:22not sure where to look or how to find it, just
- 56:24look in the show notes, you will find all the
- 56:27details for Kelsey's amazing podcast. I even
- 56:30appear in one of the episodes, and I have to
- 56:33say, this episode that I appear in on her podcast,
- 56:37Reclamation, I'm so happy with it. I'm so proud
- 56:40of it. I love the conversation that me and Kelsey
- 56:42have. If you want to hear more from Kelsey, then
- 56:46me and Kelsey... Or is it Kelsey and I? I'm not
- 56:49sure. Either way, Kelsey and I are going to be

- 57:51it, I'm hosting a free one hour 15 minutes base

- 58:04The people that come, they're really welcoming,
- 58:06they're really gentle. It's a really lovely environment.
- 58:09So if you want to practice the modality that
- 58:11shines with you, then you are more than welcome.
- 58:13That is going to be going on at quarter past
- 58:16seven UK time. You can work that one out wherever
- 58:20you are in the world, whatever that means to
- 58:22you. UK time, quarter past seven PM to about
- 58:26half past eight. So about an hour and 15 minutes.
- 58:29If you want something a bit longer, on Wednesday
- 58:33evenings I will also be holding a very similar
- 58:35event. This one will be for two hours though.
- 58:38So come along. Quarter past seven to quarter
- 58:41past nine p .m. UK time on Wednesday evenings.
- 58:45Not only will that be focusing on one -on -one
- 58:47readings, but it will also be focusing a bit
- 58:49more on platform as well. There's no pressure
- 58:51for anyone to do it if they don't want to, but
- 58:53it is a space for you to come and practice and
- 58:55I would love to see you there. Details can be

- 59:05to this on. Have a look below and you'll see
- 59:08it there. Also, if you follow me on Instagram
- 59:10or on TikTok, it's always going to be on my stories
- 59:13the day before. So follow me for information
- 59:16on the Wednesday and the Sunday Explorers. The
- 59:19next guest I've got on is the wonderful Anthony
- 59:22Light. If you don't know about Anthony, go and
- 59:24search him out. He is on for the very exciting
- 59:27Pride episode and he talks a lot about his upbringing,
- 59:31his childhood and the impact that religion and
- 59:34his sexuality had on his spirituality. So it's
- 59:37a really in -depth and lovely conversation. Have
- 59:40a wonderful rest of your day, you wonderful explorer,
- 59:43and I will see you soon. Take care, guys. Bye.
