Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Going to Mitch mccanna, US correspondent. Now, there's been a
- 0:03Speaker 1: semmetry clash apparently, but was involving members of Donald Trump's
- 0:09Speaker 1: campaign team. Mitch, what's going on here?
- 0:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right, Good morning, Ryan. Donald Trump arrived at
- 0:15Speaker 2: the Arlington National Cemetery just outside Washington, DC earlier this week,
- 0:19Speaker 2: where he was paying respects to service members who had
- 0:22Speaker 2: died during the withdrawal of Afghanistan a couple of years ago.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Now it allads that two members of Donald Trump's campaign
- 0:29Speaker 2: staff had a verbal and physical altercation with an official
- 0:33Speaker 2: at the cemetery. Now it's reported this confrontation happened because
- 0:37Speaker 2: the cemetery official tried to prevent Donald Trump's staff from
- 0:40Speaker 2: filming and photographing and a section where recent US casualties
- 0:45Speaker 2: are buried. Now law prohibits any political campaigning at the
- 0:48Speaker 2: National Cemetery, and Arlington had provided their own photographer so
- 0:53Speaker 2: photos could be taken. Now there's conflicting stories here because
- 0:56Speaker 2: Donald Trump's team says there wasn't a physical altercation. We
- 1:00Speaker 2: are prepared to release footage if such defamatory claims are made. Meanwhile,
- 1:05Speaker 2: the cemetery says there was an incident and a report
- 1:08Speaker 2: has been filed. So it's some troubling news for Donald Trump.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Here at the cemetery.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Goodness, Krmala Harris finally sitting down for an interview, but
- 1:15Speaker 1: she's bringing a friend.
- 1:17Speaker 2: That's right. It's taken some time for Kamala Harris to
- 1:20Speaker 2: agree to do an interview. She's agreed to do one
- 1:22Speaker 2: now with CNN, but it won't be just her and
- 1:26Speaker 2: the correspondent. It will be her alongside her vice presidential candidate,
- 1:31Speaker 2: Tim Wall, So the two of them will be on CNN.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It'll be nine o'clock Eastern time tomorrow night, which will
- 1:36Speaker 2: air around one o'clock Friday afternoon, New Zealand time. Donald
- 1:39Speaker 2: Trump has put out a press release Ryan with suggested
- 1:43Speaker 2: questions for ceing in if they were having trouble coming
- 1:46Speaker 2: up with them themselves. He wants to know did Kamala
- 1:49Speaker 2: Harris know about Joe Biden's cognitive state, why she decided
- 1:54Speaker 2: to stop building the border wall, and why has she
- 1:56Speaker 2: abandoned quote her radical liberal positions. So it's going to
- 1:59Speaker 2: be an interesting interview of Kamala Harrison toon Walls.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It certainly sounds like it, Mitch. Thank you, Mitch, McKenna,
- 2:05Speaker 1: US correspondent. Great to hear you people, Republicans, I should say,
- 2:09Speaker 1: already tweeting saying Biden, you know, can barely get up
- 2:12Speaker 1: a flight of stairs or in a car without a handler,
- 2:15Speaker 1: and now Carmala can't talk to CNN without one too.
