- 0:00SPEAKER_00: God bless you.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: This is Pastor Millie, and another new day that the Lord has made.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: How beautiful it is when you can wake up to a new day and know that each and every day that goes by is a blessing from God.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Now, today I want to bring a little message and I I want to speak about this.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Are you good fruit or bad fruit?
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Because the Bible says in Matthew 7, chapter 7, verse 16 to 20, it says, by their fruits you will know them.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: And we know that there's a lot of people that confess to be Christians, but what are their actions?
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: What are they producing?
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: What are they showing?
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: And we have to be very attentive more than ever in these days that we're living.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Because Jesus is speaking about and he's teaching about a powerful principle.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Their fruits, by their fruits, you will know them.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: For example, just as a tree is identified by the fruit it produces, a person is known by their actions, by their words, and their character.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: So I wanted to bring this because I'm I am a type of person, just like I know probably you are as well, that I focus on many things, but I also observe the behavior of a person, uh, the character of the person.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: And I observe that, and not to judge, not to say anything, but to see if they really rooted in the things of God.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: So, and this and in this verse, I love it so much because if you think about it, a good tree produces what?
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: It produces good fruits, but a bad tree produces what?
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: It produces bad fruits.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And a tree, the Bible says that a tree that bears no good fruit is cut down.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I know there's a lot of people that are going through things.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: See, we're not perfect beings, but we know we are eternal beings.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: We know that each and every day we strive to be better than the day before.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Each and every day we seek to do better, we seek to separate ourselves for the things that matter most, to represent God, to read his word, to pray to God, to give our all to God in our own secret place as well.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: So this means that we cannot separate our character from our actions, our fruit, our deeds, our words, our attitudes, our characters, reveal what is truly inside of us.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: The word of God says, from the abundance of the heart, the mouth will speak.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: So this shows a lot when you're being separated, when you're not being separated, because when you separate yourself for the things that are that matters most, the things of God, you start seeing a little improvement.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: You start seeing that you start feeling better about yourself, you start seeing your character changing, you start seeing that you can handle trials and storms a little different.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Now, what kind of fruit are we producing?
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Um, does our life reflect Christ, or do we bear fruit that contradicts his teachings?
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: These are questions we got to ask ourselves, you see.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: So Galatians chapter 5, verse 22 to 23, it speaks about the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: These are the signs of life that is rooted in Christ.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: So, verses a person that says, I serve God, I am a Christian, but where are the fruits?
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: What are the fruits of the spirit?
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: What are you seeing in this person?
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: In Matthew 7, chapter 7, verse 21 to 23, Jesus warns that not everyone who says, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: And this shows that words are not enough.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Words got to be backed up by action, that our life must back up our faith, that we must live by faith and not by sight.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, so a true disciple, you can say, I'm a Christian, but a true disciple is not just attending church, it's not just knowing the scripture from the beginning to the end, because we know that the devil knew the word of God, okay, but he just didn't know the author, he just didn't know the God of the Bible.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: He knew the Bible, but he knew how to quote it, but he didn't really know the true author of the Bible, okay?
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Saying we love God while treating others poor, gotta be careful with that.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Even if they hurt you, and if you see them, doesn't mean someone hurt you.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: You gotta run after them, you gotta carry them, you gotta know.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: But when you see them, what are your actions?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: Or are you gonna look at them and roll your eyes or go up to them or or you're gonna just hide from them?
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: What about God bless you, even though you know they hurt you, but your heart is still good enough to wish them the best, to tell them, may God bless you, to speak life into them no matter what.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: A true disciple is seen in obedience and transformation.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: You see, Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments in the book of John 14 to 15.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: So bearing good fruit requires, in order for us to bear those good fruits, I mean, each and every day we gotta die to ourselves.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Each and every day we gotta die.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: We gotta pick up that cross and follow God.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: It's not easy, but it's possible because the word of God tells us each and every day we gotta deny ourselves, tie to ourselves, pick up that cross and follow God.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: See, the word of God teaches us in John chapter 15, verse 4 to 5 abide in me and I in you.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: I am the vine, you are the branches.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: He who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: For without me, you can do nothing.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: So imagine this.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we wonder, you know, I'm feeling spiritually down, uh, I feel like uh depressed, I feel like anxiety is rising up.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling some kind of way today.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Of course, who is Prince of the Air?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Satan is Prince of the Air.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: So the moment you keep your mind away from the things of God, for even one second, you allow that negative vibe, that negative wind to just come in.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: So we gotta be careful, we gotta do our best each and every day.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Is it easy?
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's not easy.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: There's times that you don't even want to pray.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: But when those moments come that you don't want to pray, you don't find yourself to even reading the word, force yourself, do something different, do a living sacrifice, say, you know what?
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna detain this flesh and I'm gonna give power to the spirit of God, which buys in me.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: You see, so to bear good fruit, we must stay in the word, we must walk in prayer, surrender to the Holy Spirit, obey God's commands in every day's life.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: Think about it.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we say, What is it that I'm feeling like this?
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, let me take some vitamins, oh, let me take an energy drink, oh, let me take these are things that will probably make you feel good momentarily, but when you separate and say, No, I want to do more, I want to keep my mind away from the real deal out there that's actually causing a lot of negativity.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: I want to separate and get filled with the things of God that can fortify me, that can make me feel like I can do, like the word of God says, all things through Christ who strengthens me.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: We gotta separate.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: See, a tree doesn't force itself to bear fruit, it happens naturally when it's healthy and rooted in good soil.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: This is what we gotta think about it.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: When we're rooted in good soil, when we know that each and every day, no, we're not perfect beings.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that you have to be perfect, but you know that each and every day you separate yourself a little.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: Take time for the things of God, take time for what matters the most, so you are able to confront every attack that may come on a daily basis to come against you.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: The same, the same thing applies to a plant.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: If you take a plant and you plant this plant and you take soil that is not healthy soil, can that plant um be fortified?
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: Can it be um, can it flourish?
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: Can it look good?
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: No, we have to make sure we fertilize it, we have good soil.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: We have to make sure each and every day we do what it has to take.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: If it needs sun, put it by the sun, if it needs shade, put it by the shade.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: The same thing in our life, in our spiritual walk with God.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: When we are deeply connected to Christ, our fruit will show.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that because we serve God, we're not gonna be we're gonna be exempt to the attacks of the enemy.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: No, it's we're gonna get it even worse because who does the enemy attack?
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: He attacks the ones that are rooted, that are standing, because the ones that he has thrown in the world, he already has them bound.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: But the ones that are striving, he comes and he tries to declare the war.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: But we know at the ending of the Bible that we are more than overcome.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: As we know that God defeated him, we know who's the winner in all of this.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: So we also have to understand that each and every day, what makes us stronger, what makes us feel that we want more and more and more of God that fulfills what no man can fulfill the inside of us, our inner soul that can fulfill us from the inside out is connecting more to the things of God.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: You see, just as a good fruit reflects a godly life, bad fruit reveals a heart far from God.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Some examples of bad fruits, and sometimes we don't realize is the gossip, the division, the jealousy, and the pride.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: And we see this in Galatians chapter 5, verse 19 to 21.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: And sometimes unforgiveness, selfishness, dishonesty, um, um, in order for you to forgive a person doesn't mean literally that you have to carry that person, you gotta hang out with that person, you gotta be no, but in your heart, you don't hold no, not even no grudge against them.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: Whether they hold the grudge against you, you have nothing.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: You just keep on your walk with God.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: And when you see them, you bless them, pray for them, pray for them and and give them to God.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: You know, tell God, bless them, God, because your heart does not hold no room for evil.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: Living a double life, appearing to be holy but lacking love, we got to be careful with that because the enemy has a tendency of hardening the hearts, he tends to take the slightest little thing that we're hurting about that we're vulnerable against and magnifying it so we can feel like there's no way out.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: And let me tell you something with Christ, with Christ, with Jesus, we have been more than overcomers, okay?
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: So if we see things like that rising up in our own lives, we must repent and allow God to change us from the inside out, okay?
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: So we we are called, especially in times that we're living right now, a call to examine our fruit.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: What is things that are making us bitter instead of better?
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: What are things that are making us feel like we can't go on?
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: What kind of fruit are you bearing in in your daily life and your daily walk with God?
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Are you showing love, kindness, humility, or there's bitterness and strife and sin, and some way you can't find yourself getting away from the sin?
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: You remember, deny yourself, pick up your cross, walk, because if Jesus did it for you and for me, that means that we are more than overcomers.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: We too can deny ourselves away from this sinful nature.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: I'm saying none of us are exempt from sin, and we all fall short from the glory of God, the word of God says, but we strive each and every day to do what is right and refraining from what we know is not good.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, so if you desire to bear good fruit, stay connected to Christ.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: It's the only way I'm telling you, because there were many times in my own life that I, with all the things that I dealt with and I and and I had it go through, and I'm not saying it's gonna stop because while we're here in this earth, we're gonna go through daily struggles, one day good, the next day, but we know that this is only momentarily.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: We know that in this world the afflictions will come to everyone because God tells us in this world we will have afflictions, but it's okay because you know what?
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Even though they come, we know who fight our battles, we know who's there for us.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: Ask the Holy Spirit to prune anything in you that is not pleasing to God.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: Be intentional about living a life that reflects the fruit of the spirit.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: The Bible says in Matthew chapter 5, verse 16 let your light shine, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you are the only Bible that many people will read or see.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: Sometimes, to be honest with you, people look at you, they already know that you're serving God, they already know that you go to church.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Going to church doesn't make you a Christian.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: It's like I can go to an electrical store, does not mean that I am an electrician.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: No, so going to church doesn't make you a Christian.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: What makes you a Christian is your daily walk with God, who you are behind closed doors.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Behind closed doors, do you cry out to God?
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Do you talk to God?
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Because one thing I do know when you love the things about God and you want to live that life, the first place you want to be is in the business of your father.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: You want to go into the word, you want to congregate with the family of believers.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: You can't even wait for that church to be open so you can be with the family of faith, so you can receive that power because alone and apart, there's nothing we can do.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: So, this word, this short word I brought because I know there's many people, and we got to ask ourselves and say, God, I want my life to be a testimony that truly reflects you and me, God.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: So when others see me and when others hear me, they say, you know what?
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: Wow, there's something going on with her.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we gotta cut loose.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we gotta cut loose as much as it hurt us.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: We gotta cut loose people, we gotta cut loose whatever it takes that holds up, oh hold us back.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Because let me tell you, self-care is the best care you can give yourself in this daily walk with God.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the things we don't want to let go of is the things we are required to let go of.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Remember who when the disciples came and said, Jesus, your mom, your brother, your God says, you know, Jesus says, My mother, my father, my brother is the ones who does the will of my father.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Sometimes, remember, sometimes um bad company corrupts good morals.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: The Bible says it, not sometimes at all times.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: So when we start associating, sometimes those people may be Sally to say family members, sometimes those people may be friends that you think are friends, sometimes those people may be someone that you are so used to, and sometimes we think that they want the best for us.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And this walk with God, you know, salvation is individual, you know, individual.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: So means the Bible says, guard your salvation with tremble and fear.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: We have to guard this walk with God.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: We have to guard our salvation.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: We don't want to swim this far to then die at the shore.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: No, we want to continue strong.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: And each and every day, say, God, when I am weak, you are strong.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: You are my strength, Father God.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Because without God, there's nothing we can do.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: There's so many empty vessels, and they're struggling, and they running, and they're hitting against the walls, and they're fighting, and they're hitting things they cannot see.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: They're wrestling with things not seen in the physical, but in the spiritual.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: But how do we defeat each and every day and receive that strength that we want?
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Is surrendering our all to the things of God.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: Doesn't mean that your life is gonna be a boring life because many people see it that way.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, you gotta you gotta stop so many things.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: It means that if you want a healthy life, a healthy spiritual life, you gotta start doing what is healthy, and you gotta understand this body is temple of the Holy Spirit.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: May God bless you.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: And I pray to God that this word touches your heart.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: And just remember this you're not asked to be perfect, you're asked to be holy, just like your father is holy.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Do things each and every day that will show you yourself, wow, I overcame this this day.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Wow, somebody did this, and I overcame it with love.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: I overcame it with kindness.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Each and every day, I'm asking God.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: I'm not here pretending to be better than anyone, but I'm asking God every day.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: God, change me every day from the inside out.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Give me, Father God, that power boost that I need to continue in love, to continue growing and glowing in you.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Because without you, God, there's nothing I can do at all.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: May God bless you, have a blessed filled day, and know that you are loved, you are sharished, and God loved you so much that He died in that cross and resurrected to show you that there is power in Jesus Christ.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: You too can resurrect from whatever it is that you're going through.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Believe, believe, not by sight, but by faith, and you will see the power of God in your life.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: May God bless you.
