- 0:16Hello you lovely explorers and welcome to this
- 0:20episode of The Psychic Explorer. How are you
- 0:22doing? It's another episode, another solo episode.
- 0:26Just before we get started, I just want to say
- 0:28a massive thank you to everyone who listened
- 0:31to Jono's episodes, the Halloween ghost story
- 0:33episode. I put a lot of effort into that one.
- 0:36The feedback I got from it was just fantastic.
- 0:40Massive thank you to everyone who either listened
- 0:44to it, liked it, followed it, subscribed to it,
- 0:47whatever you did. Thank you, thank you, thank
- 0:49you so much. Just thank you, thank you, thank
- 0:53you. It's been a journey, hasn't it? Blimey,
- 0:56I can't believe I am already over a year into
- 1:00doing this. It's been quite a journey doing this
- 1:03podcast. I started not really having a clue what
- 1:07I was doing. I hope that's changed. I really
- 1:12feel that over the past few episodes, I found
- 1:15my footing though. I am no longer afraid of this
- 1:18microphone and You know I was listening to Hayley's
- 1:22episode and this is nothing against Hayley because
- 1:24Hayley was fantastic. I really enjoyed what she
- 1:27was saying in her episode. Hayley was talking
- 1:29about grief and how that has instructed her mediumship
- 1:32and how her mediumship has helped her with her
- 1:34grief. But I was listening to that episode and
- 1:37I could tell that I recorded that before I found
- 1:42my confidence doing this recording. I sounded
- 1:46slightly uncertain. I sounded slightly unsure.
- 1:49I didn't sound as natural as I hope I do now.
- 1:53And actually I listened to quite a few of my
- 1:55earlier ones and oh god, did I want to cringe?
- 2:00I listened to them and thought, oh god, burn
- 2:02them, delete them from the internet. I don't
- 2:05want them out there. But actually, I think that's
- 2:07a really good thing to have a reminder of where
- 2:10you've come from. compared to where you are now.
- 2:14And this is what this episode is sort of going
- 2:17to be reflecting on. I've been doing this podcast
- 2:19for a year, and this is not going to be a self
- 2:21-indulgent episode, I promise you, but I invited
- 2:25previous guests to send me their questions about
- 2:29my journey. The reason I do this is because I
- 2:32want this podcast to be a completely open and
- 2:36honest experience. of my experience. It's a reflection
- 2:40of my experience on this journey. If I had listened
- 2:44to someone talking about the stuff that I question
- 2:48on a day -to -day basis when I practice this
- 2:51mediumship, this psychic world, this spirituality.
- 2:55I don't know if I would have as many questions,
- 2:58but I would certainly like to think they would
- 3:00have helped me. So if I can do that for the people,
- 3:02then that is what I will do and that is what
- 3:05I will continue to do. So I've asked my lovely
- 3:09guests to send me in their questions and they
- 3:11have done it. I've got a few questions here which
- 3:15I'm going to answer. And some of them are quite
- 3:18funny, some of them are more profound, but they
- 3:21all have meaning. And I want to say a massive
- 3:24thank you to all my guests who have sent in their
- 3:27questions. I feel I've waffled on long enough,
- 3:30so let's get into it. Here is the first question.
- 3:35Hi Matt, it's Charlotte from episode 10, where
- 3:38we spoke all about crystals. So whilst we're
- 3:41on the subject of crystals, I was just wondering
- 3:44if you've incorporated crystals more into your
- 3:47daily life, since you've learnt more about them?
- 3:51Or do you have a newfound appreciation for crystals?
- 3:54Let me know. Have I made crystals a part of my
- 3:59everyday practice? Well, first of all, thank
- 4:02you Charlotte for your wonderful question. If
- 4:03you are interested in crystals, please go back
- 4:07and listen to Charlotte's episode, episode 10.
- 4:10She talks about the vibration of crystals, she
- 4:12talks about how they work and mechanics, how
- 4:15she feels into them. And what I really liked
- 4:17about Charlotte's episode as well was that it
- 4:20wasn't just... her point of view and her experience
- 4:23because Charlotte works with animals and she
- 4:25was saying about how her animals react to her
- 4:29crystals and the energy that they give off. It
- 4:32was really, really fascinating. Okay, so back
- 4:36to the question. Do I use crystals on a day -to
- 4:40-day basis? If I'm honest, no, no, I don't. But
- 4:45do I have an appreciation for them? Hell yes.
- 4:51I am sat here in my back bedroom, in front of
- 4:54my microphone and my laptop, and in front of
- 4:56me I've got three stones. I've got a beautiful
- 5:01red stone, which Charlotte gifted me. I think
- 5:05it's red selenite, I think it is. It looks like
- 5:08some sort of incredible red dragon scale. It
- 5:11looks... It's just beautiful. Next to that I've
- 5:14got a piece of rose granite which I picked up
- 5:17from a beach on the Isle of Mull during my trip
- 5:21to Scotland. And behind that is this tower. I
- 5:25don't know what it is, it's like granite but
- 5:26half of it, well a third of it is dark black
- 5:30with like speckles going through it. The middle
- 5:33part is like this almost... like lava, like this
- 5:37gray lava, and then on the other side of that
- 5:39one is this beautiful yellow, this bright yellow
- 5:44granite, I think it is. I don't know what it
- 5:46is, this is why I'm so bad at it. I've almost
- 5:49had to block Charlotte's Facebook group out of
- 5:52the earth crystals. If you're interested in getting
- 5:54some really reasonably priced crystals, go on
- 5:58to Charlotte's Facebook page, out of the earth
- 6:01crystals. She's got some incredible stock and
- 6:04I've threatened to block her a few times because
- 6:06every time she posts I always end up buying something.
- 6:10I've got a bowl here. Let me... It's full of
- 6:17crystals I bought from her over the past year
- 6:19and they've got spheres in there, there's palm
- 6:22stones. Just beautiful. I did try doing some
- 6:25lithomancy and lithomancy is when you read crystals
- 6:28like tarot or oracle cards. Didn't go very well
- 6:31for me, I have to be honest, but they are stunning
- 6:34and I do like to just stare into them. They do
- 6:38offer, I don't know, they offer something. I
- 6:41can't put my finger on it yet, Charlotte, but
- 6:43they do offer something. And I hope that answers
- 6:46your question. Let's move on. to the next question
- 6:50which is from the lovely Judy Wayman. Hi Matt,
- 6:56it's Judy from episode 18. I think I talked about
- 7:02my spiritual awakening and I just wondered was
- 7:10there something that was your spiritual awakening
- 7:14or is it something that You've always known deep
- 7:19inside and again, thank you for everything. The
- 7:24wonderful Judy Wayman with her beautiful words.
- 7:28Again, another amazing episode. If you go back
- 7:31to episode 18, Judy talks about how important
- 7:35the words that we use are. And I think the words
- 7:38in mediumship are just, they are so, so important.
- 7:43Thank you for your question, Julie. Someone,
- 7:46though, has not been listening to the whole podcast,
- 7:48have they, from the beginning? I jest, I jest,
- 7:51of course. My journey, yeah, my journey is explored
- 7:56in the first episode or two of this entire series.
- 8:01And, of course, I don't expect everyone to go
- 8:03back and listen to it. And, actually, those episodes,
- 8:07as I was saying before. Might sound a little
- 8:10bit rough compared to these ones, but yeah, it
- 8:13was what it was. But this whole journey that
- 8:16I stepped on was awakened within me with the
- 8:19loss of my mum. Well, from now, from the time
- 8:22of recording about two and a half years ago.
- 8:24She died in a really tragic accident, actually,
- 8:27and I was driving to try and get to her once
- 8:31I was notified that she was in an accident and
- 8:34that... and she was having work done on her by
- 8:37the paramedics, I tried to get to her as quickly
- 8:40as I can. And while I was driving to get to her,
- 8:45I knew the minute that she died, more or less.
- 8:49It was within a minute that she died, and I just
- 8:51felt a presence. I felt her. And from that moment
- 8:55on... Something shifted now. I know that you
- 8:59know grief is an awful thing But it started it
- 9:04was it was my catalyst because I knew that something
- 9:07else was going on This was not just a case of
- 9:10grief. I was feeling things I knew things that
- 9:15I shouldn't know and I had to explore whether
- 9:19or not I was going crazy whether or not this
- 9:21was just grief or whether or not the things I
- 9:25was feeling were real, and eventually they were
- 9:28validated. I'll use that word I massively overused
- 9:32in episode two. It was validated. So for me,
- 9:38stepping on this journey has not been an easy
- 9:41one because it's come from a place of grief,
- 9:43which in my logical brain has also made me think,
- 9:46well, am I making all this up? And I think that
- 9:51is a very normal thing to think. when you come
- 9:55to this journey through that vehicle, through
- 10:00that vehicle of grief. And that all comes down
- 10:02to trust, I suppose, as well, which brings me
- 10:05to Dana's question. Dana was on episode eight
- 10:09and she was on to talk about trust in her mediumship.
- 10:15I can't thank you enough for having me on the
- 10:18podcast and about talking about trust. and all
- 10:23of those wonderful things. And Matt, I want to
- 10:26know after talking about trust, how has that
- 10:29changed in your mediumship since our little chat?
- 10:34How has my trust changed since speaking to Dana
- 10:38back in March? Well, I have a lot more trust
- 10:44in myself. I know I can do this. And actually,
- 10:46when I review back and when I look back on this
- 10:49year, I'm much more confident with it. I actually
- 10:52talk about it more than I ever used to. It used
- 10:55to be almost like a dirty little secret and now
- 10:58I talk about it more. I'm more open about it.
- 11:03So I trust myself with it much more than I ever
- 11:06used to. Do I trust what I get? I do. I'm not
- 11:16entirely sure I trust my interpretation as much.
- 11:20as I will do this time next year. So I'm going
- 11:25to give myself a positive challenge there because
- 11:29it is inconsistent. I know I can do this. I know
- 11:32when I can do it, I'm good at it. However, there
- 11:36is inconsistency. I've got to be honest with
- 11:38you guys. I go through patches of being really
- 11:43boom, boom, boom, getting things really well.
- 11:47And then suddenly... it just dries up. It's like,
- 11:52there's the only way I can explain it and I don't
- 11:55know why. Because when I'm good, when I'm getting
- 11:59things through, I'm getting things through really
- 12:01well. For example, the other night, I was on
- 12:04an online circle in one of Dana's groups and
- 12:07I was put into a Zoom group with someone on there
- 12:12and I said, oh, straight away, I know I'm a grandmother
- 12:16and I know I'm wearing a wig. and I was able
- 12:19to describe this grandmother's personality and
- 12:23the person said, yep, I can take that. My grandmother
- 12:27was like that and she wore a wig. Now there's
- 12:30no way. There's just out of all the things, there's
- 12:33no way I'd be able to bring that through. So
- 12:35I know I can do it. It's just having that trust
- 12:39in my interpretation, which I still need to work
- 12:43on. And with Dana's help, I'm sure I'll get there.
- 12:48Okay, next question. Hi Matt, this is Julie from
- 12:52episode 16. As you know, I am passionate about
- 12:57helping people in an holistic whole body way,
- 13:00much of which is listening to and connecting
- 13:02to my clients to find out how best I can do this.
- 13:07What I'd like to ask you is how has exploring
- 13:11the psychic side of yourself helped you connect
- 13:15deeper with people around you in this life? and
- 13:18has how you navigate difficult times that arise
- 13:22changed from before you started on this path?
- 13:26Lots of love, Julie. It's funny, I was thinking
- 13:29about this just as a day, Julie, because I was
- 13:33downtown, I thought, why don't I tap into my
- 13:36psychicness here? Why can't I do that? Or why
- 13:41don't I do it? Because I think in my mind, I
- 13:43see it as too... Two different places to do it.
- 13:47There's in circle, where you're practicing, that's
- 13:50where you switch on. And then when you're out
- 13:54and about and living your life, it's not something
- 13:56that raises its head, or at least it's not something
- 13:59conscious. So Julie's question, how has exploring
- 14:02my psychic side influenced or impacted on my
- 14:07connections in life? I think I... In all honesty,
- 14:12if I'm interpreting this question the way that
- 14:14I think Julia is asking it, I honestly don't
- 14:17use it on a day -to -day basis. It's not something
- 14:20which I think, oh, tap into that person to see
- 14:23how they're feeling and to adapt my behavior
- 14:25accordingly. That's not something I, at least
- 14:29it's not something I consciously do. That being
- 14:34said, I'll hold my hand up on this one. That
- 14:38being said, You know that I'm a gardener, my
- 14:41full -time job, my day job is a gardener and
- 14:43a lot of my clients are elderly. There is plenty
- 14:48of times actually, now I'm thinking and tuning
- 14:51into this, that I'll go and see a client and
- 14:54I will just very quietly just tune into them
- 14:58and I will suggest things, I will tap into their
- 15:03needs, I will... try and figure out what's going
- 15:07on in their life, what they might need from me
- 15:10today. Did they need me to just come and do a
- 15:12job? Did they need me to be a bit of a soundboard?
- 15:17It's... I love my job because it's so multifaceted.
- 15:21I can be a very practical person. I can help
- 15:24someone make their garden look better. I can
- 15:26help them with a job that they need doing. Or
- 15:28I can be... you know, an unqualified social worker
- 15:33and just listen to their problems of the week.
- 15:37So actually, yeah, I do listen to clients. I
- 15:41do tune into them. And I find that when I do
- 15:45that, they get something better from me. They
- 15:48get something more from me. And actually, it
- 15:51fills my cup. It fills my soul. a lot more than
- 15:56those when I just go and mow the lawn or weed
- 15:59the rose beds. The second part of Julie's question,
- 16:02she asked if I've noticed how I've changed in
- 16:05dealing with difficult challenges on my path.
- 16:09I hope the people around me would agree with
- 16:12this, that actually since picking up this baton,
- 16:17I've actually been much more patient. I contemplate
- 16:21much more on what my actions might be, and I'm
- 16:25also a lot more tolerant to other people. Since
- 16:30I've not, you know, I've alluded to it throughout
- 16:33various episodes this year, but this year's not
- 16:36been a fun one for family relationships. And
- 16:42actually, there would have been a time when I'd
- 16:46have got really angry. and walked away because
- 16:50I was angry. Now I can step back rather than
- 16:56walk away because I'm angry or I'm annoyed or
- 16:59I'm pissed off. I can step back because I can
- 17:03appreciate what that other person sees in me
- 17:06and recognize that they need time from me and
- 17:10also recognize that that person is hurting and
- 17:13that person needs healing as well and I'm if
- 17:18I'm in their life, if I am present around them,
- 17:21that is not going to help them out. So yeah,
- 17:25it definitely helps. I don't think I use it on
- 17:28a day -to -day basis though. I think if I did,
- 17:31I'd be absolutely exhausted. A big ol' thank
- 17:47you to every one of my guests who have sent in
- 17:50a question for me. Honestly, this podcast would
- 17:53not be possible without you. It's just... I love
- 17:57doing it and I really love talking to other people,
- 18:01other like -minded people about their experiences.
- 18:04If you, my dear listeners, would like to talk
- 18:08to me about your experiences, whether that is
- 18:11just a little chat or to give me a message or
- 18:13if you even want to come onto the podcast to
- 18:16talk about your experiences, I would love to
- 18:19have you on. Reach out to me at the .psychic
- 18:23.explorer. You can find me on Facebook, Instagram,
- 18:28threads. There is a TikTok. I've not put anything
- 18:31onto it yet, but that will be coming. So yeah,
- 18:34so just reach out. I'd love to hear from you.
- 18:42Shall we have another question? Hey Matt, it's
- 18:45Jono here from episode 20 and episode 21. Thank
- 18:51you so much for having me on your show. I had
- 18:54so much fun chatting to you and telling you some
- 18:58of the stories and discussing, especially the
- 19:01ghost stories that we discussed, you know, it
- 19:02was it was great fun. So thank you for that.
- 19:06I have got a question as it is your annual review
- 19:10time for your PDP monsoor. But in relation to
- 19:15the episodes that we recorded together. I wondered,
- 19:19out of everything that we discussed, what was
- 19:22the thing that intrigued you the most? And out
- 19:26of everything that we discussed and in relation
- 19:31to the stories that we heard, what do you think
- 19:34was the strangest thing? I'll leave that with
- 19:38you, but great work. Keep it up and maybe we'll
- 19:43chat soon. If you are into your spookiness, if
- 19:47you like your spooky stories, and you haven't
- 19:49yet checked out episodes 20 and 21, oh please
- 19:54do me a favour and go and listen to them. Jono
- 19:57is a paranormal investigator, he goes to my circle
- 20:01and we were talking about dark air energies,
- 20:04something which I have very, well I have no experience
- 20:09with. We also discuss listener stories. Very
- 20:14generously, some of you lovely listeners sent
- 20:17in your ghost stories and me and Jono listened
- 20:20to them and we analyzed them. We spoke about
- 20:23what it could be, what the possible explanations
- 20:26might be. Jono was even able to tune in to a
- 20:30few of them. And I'll leave this one as a little
- 20:34teaser for you, but there is a small bonus episode.
- 20:38coming up in which we review, I go back to someone
- 20:43who submitted a ghost story and I let them hear
- 20:48what Jono's analysis is and yeah, spoiler alert,
- 20:52there might be something with Jono picks up on
- 20:55which is bang on. So yeah, listen out for that.
- 20:59But back to Jono's question, the first part,
- 21:01what was the thing that intrigued me the most?
- 21:08Honestly, this is not a cop -out. I'm not trying
- 21:10to cop out on this, but I think everything. Honestly,
- 21:13the thing that comes to mind when I think about
- 21:16Jono's episode, in fact, not even Jono's episode,
- 21:20but a lot of people's episodes, is the idea of
- 21:25perception. I go into these episodes, I try and
- 21:29have an open mind, but I do have my own perception
- 21:32on how these things work. And what I love the
- 21:35most is that through the duration of this conversation
- 21:40I'm having with my friends, people that I have
- 21:44spoken to online, people that come onto the podcast,
- 21:49my perception gets changed. And I said it in
- 21:52Jono's episode, what I loved was that my perception
- 21:56changed as I was talking to him. He was able
- 21:59to open my eyes to a different possibility. One
- 22:03that maybe doesn't resonate with me, but one
- 22:06that it still may be possible. So in all honesty,
- 22:11that is probably what I've taken away the most
- 22:13from this, especially Jono's episode. The idea
- 22:17that we all hold different truths and just because
- 22:22something doesn't resonate with one person doesn't
- 22:24mean that truth is not truth. What was Jono's
- 22:30other question? Oh, it was about my favorite
- 22:33ghost story from his second episode. Oh, they
- 22:37were all creepy and chilly in their own way,
- 22:40but I have to say Graham's story about the little
- 22:44girl who appeared and disappeared witnessed by
- 22:49Graham and his friend. and then look back on
- 22:52the CCTV to find that they were talking to an
- 22:55empty room. Oh, that just chilled me, absolutely
- 22:58chilled me to the bone. So that, out of all those
- 23:01stories, definitely my favourite one. Okay, who
- 23:06have we got next? Oh, Hayley, Hayley Cossey from
- 23:10just the last episode, actually. Let's hear what
- 23:12Hayley's question is. Hi, Matt. It's Hayley from
- 23:16episode 22. When you sit and go within to reflect
- 23:20on your journey, what would you say the biggest
- 23:23changes you now see within yourself? Thank you.
- 23:28I'm not sure I'm qualified to answer that question,
- 23:31I think. I would have to ask the people that
- 23:35know me the best. Simon would have to probably
- 23:38answer that one. But if I were to look within
- 23:41me... Oh, I hope I'm right in saying this, but
- 23:47I think I am trying to get back to me. It was
- 23:53actually something that Hayley said in her episode
- 23:56that stepping onto this mediumship path has allowed
- 24:01her to strip herself back and get back to the
- 24:05true Hayley. With age, I have hardened. I used
- 24:10to be very playful. I used to be very... silly
- 24:13and giggly. And after a few experiences I hardened
- 24:19up and I know that that is something that Simon
- 24:22misses within me. He often, well he doesn't often,
- 24:26but he has said to me occasionally that he misses
- 24:29the old Matt. I hope that with me following this
- 24:34path, not following that, that sounds like it's
- 24:37something that it's not. But with me stepping
- 24:40down this path and exploring this path, I like
- 24:44to think I have mellowed that I am more open
- 24:50to things I was not necessarily open to as much
- 24:55before. The magic, the wonder in the world, it
- 25:00fills me more. I am more willing to just sit
- 25:05and contemplate and meditate. I enjoy going to
- 25:10quiet places like churches or whatever, not for
- 25:13a service, but just to sit and appreciate the
- 25:16ambience of the building of the environment.
- 25:20I think I'm more reflective. I honestly do. I
- 25:24think I had the loss of mum shocked me to remind
- 25:33me of how short life is and how Important is
- 25:38not to burn bridges but to understand when things
- 25:43might need to change for the good of everyone
- 25:46involved. I've got a different philosophy on
- 25:49life. It's not now just about whatever will be
- 25:53will be. It's about doing good. It's about making
- 25:58other people happy. It's about helping people
- 26:01as best I can. with the resources that I have,
- 26:08whether that be in abundance or limited. I think,
- 26:14I mentioned this earlier on in this episode,
- 26:17or at least I alluded to it, where before, if
- 26:20people annoyed me, if people pissed me off, if
- 26:23people, if I didn't agree with people, I'd almost
- 26:26write them off. I don't think I do that as much
- 26:31now. I think my patience, my tolerance has increased,
- 26:36my understanding of where people may have come
- 26:40from, the experiences people have had, which
- 26:43has made them behave the way they behave. I hope
- 26:49that is more in the forefront of my mind. than
- 26:56it used to be. And in fact, I know it is, I know
- 26:59it is. So yeah, I think that, Hayley, in answer
- 27:04to your question, it's a multitude of things,
- 27:07but I think an increase in patience and an understanding
- 27:11of my purpose in my life on this planet and an
- 27:16awareness of the impact that my interaction with
- 27:20people had. I hope that wasn't too wishy -washy,
- 27:23that wasn't too... hoi polloi philosophical.
- 27:28But if it was, if that was too serious, then
- 27:31the next question is certainly going to make
- 27:33you chuckle because I had to keep nudging Shelley
- 27:36for her question. She said, I'll get it to you
- 27:39today. I'll get it to you today. And I said to
- 27:42her, that's fine. Give it to me by Tuesday. And
- 27:45that's my deadline when I'm starting to record
- 27:47this. And it's now Wednesday and I had to message
- 27:49her today saying hello. questions please and
- 27:53so I'm so so sorry so she sent me not just one
- 27:56not just two but three questions and because
- 28:00I listened to these questions this morning when
- 28:02she sent them through to me I know the first
- 28:04one should have you giggling and it's certainly
- 28:07something I have got to think about hi Matt it's
- 28:10Shelley from Soulful Tarot I think I was on episode
- 28:13six of Your Fabulous podcast The Psychic Explorer.
- 28:17I'm really enjoying that by the way and congratulations
- 28:19on your Halloween episodes. They are great fun.
- 28:23So back to the questions. So I have three questions
- 28:27for you. Question number one. If you could liken
- 28:31your mediumship journey to a dessert, which dessert
- 28:35would it be? Okay, I'm gonna answer these in
- 28:39order because otherwise I will forget by the
- 28:42time I get to question three I'll forget what
- 28:44question one is although I'm not too sure anyone
- 28:47could forget what question one was what a fantastic
- 28:50question My word what dessert was my mediumship
- 28:55be if it were a dessert? Okay, I just pause the
- 29:01recording for like five minutes just to think
- 29:04Right, my initial response was going to be something
- 29:07like the trifle because it's sticky, it's messy,
- 29:13but actually I don't think that's right. As I
- 29:19sit with it, my mediumship, when it's good, it's
- 29:25really lovely. It takes work, though, to get
- 29:31it good. It takes consistency. and it takes hard
- 29:35work. And when it flops, oh, I feel just awful
- 29:41about it. And I just feel really flat when I
- 29:46get it wrong. So my dessert that is my mediumship
- 29:51is a soufflé because when it rises, when it's
- 29:58right, it's amazing. It's light, it's fluffy,
- 30:03it's gorgeous, it's decadent. When it's wrong,
- 30:08it makes me feel awful. It makes me feel curdled
- 30:12inside. It makes me feel flat. You need to know
- 30:17what you're doing with a souffle. You need to
- 30:20know how to... how to cook it. You need to know
- 30:24exactly what temperature to put the oven onto,
- 30:27exactly how long to cook it for. There's so many
- 30:30different factors which go into making a soufflé.
- 30:34Yeah, I think a soufflé is my mediumship. Somebody
- 30:44who's embarking on mediumship or thinking about
- 30:47embarking on a mediumship journey, just one piece
- 30:51of advice, what would that be? My initial gut
- 30:56instinct is to say, don't worry about the no's,
- 31:01be prepared to get it wrong. I think that that
- 31:04is a very natural thing that everyone doing this
- 31:07journey is going to learn eventually. My number
- 31:11one piece of advice... My piece of advice that
- 31:15I need to take, that I need to practice, is exactly
- 31:20that. Practice, practice, practice, practice
- 31:25more. It's hard because life calls, doesn't it?
- 31:31Life takes you places and you can't, it's not
- 31:35fair to your loved ones to fully commit every
- 31:38single hour to this. But at the same time, It
- 31:42does give you dopamine when you get it right
- 31:44it is amazing and you just want to practice practice
- 31:48and unfortunately if you don't practice It leaves
- 31:53you very little room to improve practice really
- 31:56does make perfect and There's never a perfect
- 32:01in mediumship. However, my piece of advice to
- 32:05someone stepping on this path Shelley would be
- 32:08to practice, practice, practice, whether that
- 32:10is in a face -to -face circle, online circle,
- 32:15friends, family. Do as much practice as you can
- 32:20to get to understand your signs and your symbols
- 32:24and your language that your team are giving you
- 32:29to use these symbols to interpret the messages
- 32:33that are coming through. Practice, practice,
- 32:36practice. Okay, let's have Shelley's third and
- 32:41final question. Looking back over your journey
- 32:44so far, what's the best memory that you can recall?
- 32:49Anyway, can't wait to hear the answers. Thanks
- 32:51as always for having me on your episode, on your
- 32:56podcast. Such fun. And take care. What a beautiful
- 33:01question. What an absolutely beautiful question
- 33:03to end this episode on. Oh, I've had to, yeah,
- 33:09really pause and think about this one. And as
- 33:14I sit with it, the thing that comes to mind is
- 33:19just the sound of laughter. The best memories
- 33:23I have is of the jokes, of the laughs that I
- 33:29share with all my friends in circle. I started
- 33:34this journey in a really rough place somewhere
- 33:38where I was not expecting to make friends yet
- 33:42here I am two and a bit years later with a mobile
- 33:48phone which is substantially busier than what
- 33:52it was before because I have more friends who
- 33:56are like -minded we share things we care for
- 34:01each other we look out for another when we're
- 34:03not sure about something we ask questions when
- 34:05we want to give reassurance we do so it's the
- 34:11people you know you do meet some funny people
- 34:14on this journey but there are also some people
- 34:18who will stick around people who will um take
- 34:22your hand through these very strange and bizarre
- 34:25experiences that you will or that I have inevitably
- 34:29undertaken on this path. So yeah, I think Shadi,
- 34:35what a wonderful set of questions. There's not
- 34:38one memory in particular and I could say, you
- 34:42know, it was the time when I felt I had a wig
- 34:44on my head and I said it and the city could take
- 34:49it. It could be the time where I was on an online
- 34:53platform and I said to the person in the group,
- 34:57I don't know why but I'm being shown a teddy
- 34:59bear and the woman on the other end said, I just
- 35:02asked my mother to give you a teddy bear if it's
- 35:04her. It's just incredible pieces of evidence
- 35:09like that. But actually the thing that resonates
- 35:12the most, the thing that recalls the most is
- 35:16the laughter. It's the laughter in the circles
- 35:19that I go to, the friendship, the camaraderie.
- 35:24It's just wonderful. It really is wonderful.
- 35:28Oh thank you everyone so much for asking your
- 35:32questions. Dear listeners I really hope and I
- 35:40got halfway through this episode I thought oh
- 35:42Matt this is so self -indulgent of you to just
- 35:45have people ask questions of you and your journey
- 35:48and if it's come across that way I'm really sorry
- 35:53that is not the aim of this episode The whole
- 35:57point and purpose of this podcast is to show
- 36:00you someone's genuine journey on this path. If
- 36:05you are about to step onto it, I'd like to think
- 36:08that by me putting my heart and soul out there
- 36:12into the ether, telling you what my journey is
- 36:16like, is supporting you in some way and hopefully,
- 36:22you know, this episode... goes somewhat towards
- 36:26that and doesn't come across as too self -indulgent
- 36:31and too egotistical. You know me, I don't want
- 36:36to be egotistical and that is a big worry of
- 36:38mine so I hope it comes across in the right way.
- 36:42I am sure between now and the time this goes
- 36:44out I will listen and listen and re -listen and
- 36:49edit and edit and edit until it is something
- 36:51that I'm happy with. Hey, there is a lesson there
- 36:56in itself. Sometimes you just gotta let things
- 36:58go, let things the way they are. And you may
- 37:02feel self -conscious about how your message goes
- 37:05out, and this is true in mediumship. You may
- 37:07feel self -conscious about how your message goes
- 37:09out, but at the end of the day it's how your
- 37:11sitter receives it. And if your sitter needs
- 37:15to hear it, and if your sitter is happy with
- 37:17your message, then who are you to judge? Who
- 37:22am I to judge? So until next time, my lovely,
- 37:27lovely explorers, I will see you soon. Lots of
- 37:32love. Bye.
