- 0:01Hello.
- 0:02Hello everybody.
- 0:02It's Michael Jacob with Unleashing Intuition Secrets
- 0:05of David Spr with us today.
- 0:06And, uh, his bio as he was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado.
- 0:10Visited there, uh, with Gaia.
- 0:12Uh, it's a great place.
- 0:13Beautiful.
- 0:14I started playing, he started playing guitar at age five Wow.
- 0:17Very early on, and really got into it deeply when he was, uh, 12.
- 0:22Always, uh, grew up playing music with his brother.
- 0:25Eventually started a band called Rose Hill Drive.
- 0:29Started touring when it was around 17 and was fortunate enough to open
- 0:33up with wow, some incredible names.
- 0:36Uh, Aerosmith Van Halen.
- 0:38The whos the Stone Age, black Crows, many others.
- 0:41Wow.
- 0:42Unbelievable.
- 0:43Uh, dream come true.
- 0:44Definitely.
- 0:45We, they toured around the USA and Europe.
- 0:47Made a few records.
- 0:49The band never really broke out, but, uh, had incredible experiences.
- 0:52And then, uh, moved on.
- 0:54He does.
- 1:00Still does it today.
- 1:01So incredible information.
- 1:04The latest that he's doing is, uh, he's got this idea called Pump Tracks.
- 1:09Uh, it rides a fine line between a new way for artists to get their music
- 1:13out and potentially be profitable with it, as well as giving memecoin
- 1:18and crypto traders something new and meaningful to trade with.
- 1:23So Daniel, thanks so much for joining us.
- 1:25Thanks for having me.
- 1:26It is an honor.
- 1:27Yeah, it's, uh, it's gonna be a fantastic, uh, little journey here.
- 1:31So what we, I just read that you, you've been doing this since you were five.
- 1:35Wow.
- 1:35That's incredible.
- 1:36So, uh, obviously you had some kind of talent.
- 1:40It wasn't just, you know, you just picked up a guitar and played.
- 1:43How did it work out for you?
- 1:45Um, well, you know, I, I, I started playing when I was young, when I was five.
- 1:49My father played a lot and, you know, I took interest to it.
- 1:53And.
- 1:55Uh, you know, kind of trying to learn, you know, there's, there's
- 1:58frustrations with trying to learn how to play an instrument, of course.
- 2:01But when I was 12, I really started to take it seriously and
- 2:04got my first electric guitar.
- 2:05You know, I'll never forget it.
- 2:07I finished Stratocaster and, continued to play with my brother and, formed
- 2:12a band and worked on it really hard.
- 2:15And it, it provided some fantastic, uh, opportunities and experiences.
- 2:22You know, before we knew it, you know, we were touring, um, and opening up
- 2:26for those bands that you mentioned.
- 2:28Uh, lots of miles, lots of miles in the van.
- 2:31Uh, I think we probably racked up half a million, just in that, in, touring in the,
- 2:36in the van and trailer and you know, EE experiences that I really cherish today.
- 2:42During the time, you know, there's, there's the work and there's the doubt
- 2:46and there's, you know, uh, the grind.
- 2:48But I, I wouldn't trade it for anything, you know, I, I, I never
- 2:51actually graduated high school.
- 2:52I knew that I wanted to play the guitar.
- 2:54Mm-hmm.
- 2:56You know, got my GED and I, uh, you know, just took it from there.
- 3:00Absolutely love music, love the guitar.
- 3:03I still play today.
- 3:04Mostly composition work for media and commercials.
- 3:09But yeah, I mean it's it's been a blessing.
- 3:13Yeah.
- 3:14Uh, amazing.
- 3:15Uh, so I'm gonna play, uh, a couple of, just, we'll start with, uh, the
- 3:19Ryan Bingham, uh, clip you sent me.
- 3:22Oh, cool.
- 3:22Uh, and share that and, uh, let people see, you know, the kind of performances
- 3:26that you, uh, you've been about and Wow.
- 3:29You're widespread.
- 3:30I mean, you do everything.
- 3:31It's, it is pretty incredible.
- 3:32Oh, your breath.
- 3:33Yeah.
- 3:36So let's, let's play a little piece of this.
- 3:49He is such a cool guy.
- 3:51That was fun times.
- 3:52That must have been,
- 3:53yeah.
- 4:07It's always very heavy.
- 4:23That's Nate Barnes on the drums.
- 4:25He was.
- 4:25He was in Rose Hill Drive with us.
- 4:27He's a fantastic drummer.
- 4:38So, uh, very, very creative work.
- 4:40Uh, and there's, there's a few other ones that, uh, we'll,
- 4:43uh, we'll go over to as well.
- 4:45So here's, uh, elephant Revival.
- 4:47I liked all these clips.
- 4:48It's beautiful.
- 4:49Well done.
- 4:50Any, any comments you got about, uh, some of these, uh, some of these bands?
- 4:54Oh, sure.
- 4:55You know, I've been, I've been in, in, in several different bands.
- 4:58This was the latest one that I was in.
- 5:00I'm, I'm no longer playing with them.
- 5:01But this was a bigger show at the Mission Ballroom in Denver.
- 5:05And, the head of the band, uh, Bonnie who's just a, a living angel she called
- 5:10me one day and she was like, Hey, do you think we could maybe cover schism by tool?
- 5:16And I was like, sure, let's do it.
- 5:20Awesome.
- 5:20Yeah, so I, you know, I, if, if you, you know, if you know that song
- 5:24the only four four typical, measure of music is at the very end there,
- 5:30there's, it's very, very complicated.
- 5:32And, and super cool.
- 5:34So, you know, I, I dug in and I learned, the parts and taught the band and, you
- 5:40know, I think it turned out really well.
- 5:41She actually had this amazing idea of bringing in a drum line, uh, to,
- 5:45you know, assist on the big parts.
- 5:47But yeah, that, that, this was it, it was really ambitious and, um, I'm so
- 5:52glad that she brought it to the table.
- 5:54'cause it, it worked out really well.
- 5:55Yeah, you can tell this is, uh, this is quite, uh, artistic, uh.
- 6:01Rendering here.
- 6:01So let's listen to a little bit piece of this.
- 6:45I know because I
- 6:58your detention.
- 7:16So that must be, uh, you know, with a crowd like that, what, what does
- 7:19that feel like when you're up there playing like that and you got a
- 7:21huge crowd that's loving your music?
- 7:24Oh, there's, there's nothing like it really.
- 7:27It's it, you know, it, it's been, uh, kind of a lifetime of
- 7:31figuring out how to interpret it.
- 7:34You know, I, I appreciate that question.
- 7:36There's I changed from nerves and trying to prove something to really
- 7:43just embracing the fact that you have the ability to channel and give to
- 7:48the people that come, you know, it's reciprocal and, it's, um, so much of
- 7:56the time in, in, in music and anything where somebody can get popular or famous
- 8:01it can get misinterpreted and abused.
- 8:03And so that was something that I always, always questioned.
- 8:07I, I, I feel fortunate to have come to the point where.
- 8:11It, you know, I don't get nervous anymore, which is great 'cause that,
- 8:16you know, your fingers don't quite work the same way when you're nervous.
- 8:20And, um, just appreciation.
- 8:23I. Yeah, that, that sounds, that's, uh, that's what everybody, I, you know,
- 8:27everything, I think everybody has a dream.
- 8:29Like they'd love to have been a musician at some point.
- 8:32Uh, I did, you know, it's like, but that wasn't my call.
- 8:35And I went into the SEAL teams and, life went on.
- 8:37But, uh, always appreciated all those guys.
- 8:39And I, I would know people over the years, uh, there was times where I did
- 8:43security around, uh, bands and so forth.
- 8:45Uh, I remember.
- 8:47When I was 18, I saw Van Halen and, uh, you know, some of those guys, and I
- 8:51was like, God, you know, I'd just love to be around, uh, some of those guys.
- 8:55And then, you know, I was so, uh, and they're just, just like us, you
- 9:00know, just cool dudes, you know, having, having a good time, you know,
- 9:03doing their thing, uh, absolutely.
- 9:04And making some good money, you know, partying, whatever.
- 9:08Mm-hmm.
- 9:08So, uh, how, how was it, you know, being around all those, uh, you know,
- 9:11high-end, uh, groups, you know, the WHO and Aerosmith and all those guys?
- 9:15Sure.
- 9:16Yeah.
- 9:16Uh, there's variance, right?
- 9:19I would say Pete Townsend is one of the most phenomenal human beings.
- 9:25He, the way he commands respect, uh, but gently be sure you have something.
- 9:32To say that's articulate, you know, because he's, he's he's a very cerebral
- 9:38person, but also very creative and, um, thought provoking conversations.
- 9:44When he looks at you with those blue eyes, it, it's, it goes straight into your soul.
- 9:49Hmm.
- 9:50Not everybody's like that.
- 9:51Um, but at the same time just experiencing the differences in, uh, the guys
- 9:57from Van Halen were incredibly kind.
- 10:01Oh,
- 10:01yeah.
- 10:01Uh, very welcoming.
- 10:02And you know, I mean, I, I, I cried the day Eddie died.
- 10:06He was, he changed guitar.
- 10:09Yeah.
- 10:09It's beautiful work.
- 10:10Yeah.
- 10:11Yeah.
- 10:11I, I, obviously someone like you would appreciate that.
- 10:14Sammy Hagar.
- 10:15So I was, uh, you know, up close with Sammy Hagar.
- 10:18I gotta talk to him a little bit.
- 10:19Uh, again, doing some, security for him and his son.
- 10:23Uh, they played, uh, together.
- 10:24So that must have been pretty cool for him to do that with the son.
- 10:27But I, I've always loved his music and always been inspired by it.
- 10:30You know, I can't drive.
- 10:3155 was like my theme every time I was driving a Pinto, of course
- 10:35that time, but I was like,
- 10:38and then I, I moved up to a Mustang.
- 10:39It's in there.
- 10:40I got a little bit more speed.
- 10:41But, uh, it was, the artistic stuff is just amazing there now.
- 10:46You've been around all these people, you know, there's all these controversies
- 10:49about, uh, the level of music, uh, you know, is it going to the dark side?
- 10:55Is it, from your music and from talking to you, you're obviously, you know
- 10:59of the light and you're on that side, but you know, there's, well, I know
- 11:03there's some, some dark aspects to that.
- 11:05Uh, how, how, when you encounter that, what was it like for you?
- 11:09It's palatable.
- 11:11Yeah.
- 11:11And thankfully those experiences were few and far between.
- 11:16Excellent.
- 11:16Um, but yeah, it, it, it's palatable.
- 11:19I mean, with, with that type of I guess you could say power and responsibility
- 11:25it you gotta treat it the right way.
- 11:28Hmm.
- 11:28And some people choose not to.
- 11:30However, it's, it's, it's something that is, it's greater than us.
- 11:37And I think that that is a, a point to be respected when you
- 11:42start to get recognition from your music, you know it's not you.
- 11:47Right?
- 11:47It's channeling through you that that's, that's my belief.
- 11:51Beautiful.
- 11:51Yeah.
- 11:54So, uh, there's, uh, there's different frequencies and stuff like that.
- 11:57Some people are making, uh, making comments in the chat
- 11:59about the 4 32 frequency.
- 12:01Sure.
- 12:02Uh, what, what are your thoughts on those frequencies and how sometimes
- 12:05they manipulate those frequencies and, 'cause I've listened to music from,
- 12:08uh, I remember this one, uh, black pastor, uh, he was talking about the,
- 12:13you know, the frequencies of music and he, he showed this, uh, one black group.
- 12:19They were just phenomenal.
- 12:21I was like, I looked at them, they're well dressed, they're handsome guys.
- 12:24And I was just like, God, these guys are amazing.
- 12:26And he says, now watch this.
- 12:28I'm gonna change the frequency just a little bit.
- 12:31And he changed the frequency and I was like, oh, those guys suck.
- 12:35What the heck?
- 12:35And just from the frequency, uh, it was, and wow what an incredible thing.
- 12:40So what, what are your thoughts on the, the frequencies?
- 12:43Sure.
- 12:43I I think it's a fascinating concept.
- 12:46Yeah.
- 12:46Um, we're vibrational beings, right?
- 12:48We're antennas of vibration and, you know, there there's the rumor, it's not true,
- 12:54but that the Nazis develop the four 40 frequency as, as like the standard of,
- 13:00of tuning and that it should be 4 32.
- 13:03Um, I don't know enough about it to speak.
- 13:07About the actual historical relevance of all that.
- 13:10Mm-hmm.
- 13:11Um, however I, I look forward to digging in more into tho those
- 13:16resonant frequencies and what it means.
- 13:20You, I i, there if you, a lot of times we would play and tune a half step down.
- 13:28So you're not in four 40 anymore.
- 13:31And it sounds different.
- 13:32It feels different.
- 13:33I wouldn't say that it's better or worse.
- 13:35When you do feel something though, that's the truth.
- 13:41When you actually, when it's resonating with you and, and you frequency or
- 13:45the frequencies around you, it's something to pay attention to.
- 13:49It's important.
- 13:50Yeah.
- 13:51Oh yeah, absolutely.
- 13:52And, uh, obviously your, your music is, uh, paying attention to it.
- 13:56'cause uh, you know, I'm looking at, uh, some of listening to some of
- 13:59your work and it's, uh, phenomenal.
- 14:00Let's, let's listen to another piece.
- 14:03Hardworking Americans.
- 14:04Uh, I. You know, I'm, I'm a old school rock and roller.
- 14:08I love, uh, you know, the hardcore stuff.
- 14:10Uh, sure you got a little bit of that in there, and then you've got
- 14:12that very artistic piece that we played, and a little bit of country,
- 14:16little twang going on in there.
- 14:18But this is the kind of stuff that really resonates with me.
- 14:21And I, I really appreciate, you know, people that can play like this.
- 15:11Yeah, making it sing.
- 15:12I mean, I got, I got chills just listening to it.
- 15:15Oh, thanks.
- 15:16That's awesome.
- 15:17I love
- 15:17that.
- 15:18Yeah.
- 15:18Good stuff.
- 15:18Good stuff.
- 15:19So, uh, you know.
- 15:22Inspi inspiration.
- 15:23You know, uh, people listen to music like this.
- 15:25They're inspired.
- 15:26They love it.
- 15:26And you're, you've been doing that for quite some time.
- 15:29I know you're getting ready to take your children out.
- 15:33You're gonna, you're homeschooling, so you're really dedicated and you're
- 15:36gonna travel and stuff and so forth.
- 15:38Fantastic.
- 15:39Uh, thank you.
- 15:41You're gonna, KI obviously gonna keep up with your music, or are you
- 15:43gonna play while you're on the road?
- 15:45Yeah, I mean, there, there will be a shift.
- 15:48I'm no longer playing in an active band.
- 15:50And I'm okay with that right now.
- 15:52Uh, I, I want to open up to new possibilities.
- 15:57My kids are very into music and my eldest daughter is.
- 16:02Picking up the guitar very quickly.
- 16:04Ah,
- 16:05sings like an angel.
- 16:06Uh, it's like I hard to describe what that does to my heart.
- 16:10So my goal is to embrace that and make music together as a family.
- 16:17Right now, um, it's.
- 16:20Probably the best experience in music that I've had is being able to play with her.
- 16:25Uh, my middle daughter is picking up the drums, you know,
- 16:28and natural talent as well.
- 16:30And my son, who's the youngest is very interested in music too.
- 16:33He is, picked up the ukulele and started strumming and it's like, how
- 16:36did you do that, man, that's amazing.
- 16:39That's
- 16:39cool.
- 16:39So it's, it's, yeah, it's exciting.
- 16:41Yeah, that's, you have your own little uh, band there.
- 16:43That was pretty fun.
- 16:44Totally.
- 16:47You like departures family.
- 16:48That's, that's pretty cool.
- 16:50Outta the rv.
- 16:51Traveling all across the country.
- 16:53Exactly.
- 16:53Yeah.
- 16:54Just need a, you know, a old school bus or something.
- 16:57Yeah, exactly.
- 17:00So you're, you're into, uh, and this is the most exciting thing.
- 17:04All that's exciting.
- 17:04Everything you've done is obviously incredibly exciting.
- 17:07Probably like we could talk for hours about some of the experiences you've had.
- 17:11Uh, but the one thing that you you know, you do music and you've done
- 17:15music for, uh, you know, written music and your music's used in a lot
- 17:20of different, uh, work and you, your.
- 17:23Probably, getting resources from that.
- 17:26Is that correct?
- 17:27Yeah.
- 17:28Yeah.
- 17:28And so, uh, now you're moving into a new aspect pump tracks.
- 17:32Yeah.
- 17:33Uh, and that sounds very exciting.
- 17:34Tell us a little bit about how that works.
- 17:36Sure.
- 17:37Well, it's.
- 17:39It's unique and it's an idea that blends two worlds together.
- 17:44That hasn't totally been done yet.
- 17:47Um, NFTs are, are very popular, right?
- 17:50Uh, and it's not totally the same thing.
- 17:54So I've been interested in blockchain technology and crypto since it's come out.
- 18:00And I. Had this idea.
- 18:03I I, I tried my hand at, at trading meme coins.
- 18:07Uh, it's very difficult.
- 18:09Yeah.
- 18:10And you know, the, the, the attraction is the upside.
- 18:13You can see these people making a lot of money.
- 18:16So, you know, it's like, okay, I'm gonna, I'm gonna give that a shot.
- 18:20I don't have the skill to, to do that.
- 18:22The skill level, uh, that has developed in that world is really high.
- 18:27It might seem ridiculous, and, and meme coins in general
- 18:31can appear to be ridiculous.
- 18:33There are some very actually really great projects that are occurring in the space.
- 18:39However it's, it is a challenging place to trade.
- 18:44It's very fast paced and very volatile.
- 18:47And I had this idea after, giving it a shot where I was like, well,
- 18:53what if there was something that was a little more meaningful that
- 18:59people could latch onto quickly?
- 19:01What if there instead of a meme coin, it's a song.
- 19:05And what this does in my mind is it brings something fresh
- 19:09to the traders in the space.
- 19:12It brings something that is, undeniably there.
- 19:16You don't have to do a bunch of research to see if the project is legitimate.
- 19:20You have to do a little bit, right?
- 19:21Make sure that the, the song that somebody launches is actually from
- 19:26them, you know, and that they have the intention of you seeing it.
- 19:29But it's, it's, you know, the idea is, is not necessarily artist focused and
- 19:34it's not necessarily trader focused.
- 19:38I'm trying to ride that line there where it attracts both and, um.
- 19:44You know, it's, it's, it's a baby idea right now there's not many actually
- 19:49the only songs on the site right now are ones that I have put on there for
- 19:53testing or to show proof of concept.
- 19:55Gotcha.
- 19:56So ultimately this is, this is fantastic.
- 19:59Uh, this is something that all artists could benefit from.
- 20:02Sure.
- 20:03Instead of like going through the music industry, which, uh, you know,
- 20:07is a culprit for, you know, stealing talent and taking advantage of,
- 20:11uh, talent you could create your own tracks and tie it into crypto.
- 20:17Mm-hmm.
- 20:17And then you're gonna, you're gonna directly benefit from that.
- 20:20And then if someone has your trek, they could trade it and benefit
- 20:23from it, uh, again as well.
- 20:25So it's like, uh, like you said in a, like an NFT.
- 20:29Tell us a little bit how that works.
- 20:30Sure.
- 20:31So instead of an NFT, which is more of like a collectible or a, uh.
- 20:36Uh, an artist will, will create an NFT collection and there's either
- 20:41scarcity you know, which is enticing for the people, for the fans to buy.
- 20:47Um, and that creates value.
- 20:48This is more of like a commoditizing.
- 20:51Your song, it's more of like a stock and it works the same way.
- 20:56Pump fun works, which is the hands down, the most popular meme,
- 21:03coin launching pad that there is.
- 21:06We use the radium protocol, um, which essentially is just the ability to
- 21:12create a bonding curve, uh, and then.
- 21:16After I, I can explain that in more depth, but after, after the bonding
- 21:20curve reaches migration, then it turns into a real liquidity pool
- 21:24where your track or token is traded against Solana, almost like Forex.
- 21:31Okay.
- 21:31It's a trading pair.
- 21:32Mm-hmm.
- 21:33Um, now the benefit is if you were to launch a song and it gets traction, you
- 21:40make royalties off of trading Feess.
- 21:45So every time the song is traded, whether it's up or down, you make a
- 21:49percentage of that after the bonding curve is hit, that percentage changes
- 21:54a little bit because it turns into a real radium liquidity pool, and they,
- 21:58they have metrics for how that works.
- 22:00Essentially, if your song trades forever, then you make royalties forever.
- 22:06Nice.
- 22:07And yeah.
- 22:07I mean that, that theoretically, you know mm-hmm.
- 22:10Coins don't totally trade forever and there's also no guarantee that
- 22:15you will make money doing this.
- 22:17Right.
- 22:17If you launch a coin and you don't have, you're not pumping it or, or
- 22:23trying to get people involved in it, then it probably won't do anything.
- 22:27But it's not really a loss at all.
- 22:30The, the cost of entry to, to launch a song is 0.05 Soul, uh, which
- 22:36at this point is like four bucks.
- 22:38'cause mm-hmm.
- 22:39You know, crypto's taking a dive right now, uh, which it, it does and it's okay.
- 22:43It'll come back.
- 22:44Yeah.
- 22:44Yeah.
- 22:45You now have your song, regardless of if it's traded, it's on our website.
- 22:52And it can be played.
- 22:54There's a, there's a, a fantastic player function for it, and
- 22:58you can share it immediately.
- 23:00You don't have to wait weeks for you know, uh, an aggregate company
- 23:04to put your song on the Spotify and then hope that you get 10,000 plays.
- 23:09You know, 10,000 plays is gonna get you about 40 bucks.
- 23:11Wow.
- 23:12You know,
- 23:12If you get $10,000 in trading volume, which if people know the
- 23:18space that can happen in five seconds, uh, you'd make $50.
- 23:24You know, if you go, if you go to a hundred thousand dollars in trading
- 23:26in volume, you'd make 500 bucks.
- 23:28And those numbers sound big, but in the trading space it's not
- 23:32really that much because mm-hmm.
- 23:34You know, if it hits, and traders see, oh, hey, this is cool, this is legitimate.
- 23:39You make the money instantaneously and your exposure is there right away.
- 23:44So I'm, I'm hoping to kind of change.
- 23:48Change the space of trading is a, is a difficult tall mountain.
- 23:52I'm providing something that is fresh for traders.
- 23:56Um, sure it could be abused, but it's coming from honesty and it's coming
- 24:01from something where it's real.
- 24:04Music is forever regardless.
- 24:06Mm-hmm.
- 24:07When you upload a song to pump tracks, we put it on the Solana blockchain.
- 24:11So it's literally there forever.
- 24:13Uh, if your music, if, if the internet exists, your music is on
- 24:17the Solana blockchain for good, you know, which is appealing to me.
- 24:21I, I think it's cool.
- 24:23Yeah.
- 24:23That's fantastic.
- 24:24So if an artist had they wanted to, do they work with you or, or you, is this
- 24:29just a concept that anybody could use?
- 24:31How's this work?
- 24:31Oh,
- 24:32anybody can use it.
- 24:33You, you can, you can put a song and have it minted into a solana
- 24:38based token within under a minute.
- 24:42If you, if you have your assets ready to, you know, upload your art.
- 24:46Um, you can see, you know, I below the screen that's loading.
- 24:49I, I, I tried, I, I uploaded a song yesterday, you know, just to show it's
- 24:54like, Hey, this is here, this works.
- 24:57And you know, the one below that is a, a song I made with my daughter.
- 25:00I, I love that song.
- 25:02Oh, cool.
- 25:02Let's play it.
- 25:04So it's, okay.
- 25:05So you click on this and this takes you to the trading page.
- 25:07So this is, this is the actual, uh, you know, you don't have a
- 25:11wallet connected, which is fine.
- 25:12If you did, you could actually swap the token here, but you can also trade it
- 25:16on any major or actually not major, any decentralized exchange at this point.
- 25:21It is, it is available to trade.
- 25:23It's there instantaneously.
- 25:25Very cool.
- 25:26Very cool.
- 25:26Yeah.
- 25:35I.
- 25:39Really meant to.
- 26:03Wow.
- 26:04That's fantastic.
- 26:05Oh,
- 26:05thank.
- 26:05So, uh, if someone, uh, was interested in that and then they could purchase it,
- 26:11yeah.
- 26:11They, they, they can the streaming is free.
- 26:15Which is, you know, a benefit to people who wanna share their music.
- 26:19So even if your token isn't trading it's there.
- 26:21You can share it with whoever you want to.
- 26:23Okay.
- 26:24And there's also the, the, the player function on that website that I'm,
- 26:28basing off of, uh, major music players.
- 26:31You can play it on your phone.
- 26:33It's there for the taking when it comes to coin trading.
- 26:38The thing that would need to be understood is that you gotta be ready, right?
- 26:43So if I were to trade a token or, or mint a token right now for a
- 26:48song, I would wanna make sure that I'm ready to post it on X, that I
- 26:56made the token and post the contract address so people see that it was me.
- 27:01Ideally, you even have a community formed for your sound.
- 27:06You know, people can join communities on X.
- 27:09It doesn't, it's not strictly X though, X is gigantic when it comes to crypto.
- 27:15You know, they call it CT for crypto Twitter, but you could do it.
- 27:20There's, there's, um, when you upload a song, you have the
- 27:23opportunity to either do it.
- 27:26Throw your ex social on there, your Instagram or your TikTok, and that's how
- 27:31people can see that, you know, it's you.
- 27:36The biggest thing is that you show that you minted the song.
- 27:40For a starting artist right now who doesn't have a, you
- 27:45know, very much of a following.
- 27:47It, it, it probably won't get traction.
- 27:50I'm working on getting the site, uh, seen and for people to you
- 27:57know, realize that it's legitimate.
- 28:00My hope is to get either a, a.
- 28:03Large person in the, in the crypto space or, uh, somebody
- 28:07who's big in music to use it.
- 28:09You know, so people can be like, okay, cool.
- 28:12Like legit.
- 28:12Yeah,
- 28:13legit.
- 28:13We're gonna, we're gonna start watching what's coming out of this platform now.
- 28:16That's my hope.
- 28:18Yeah, that's, I, that's gonna happen.
- 28:21'cause uh, this is a great concept.
- 28:23Uh, every artist I think would want to jump in on this.
- 28:26'Cause like we were talking about, you know, uh, if you could do
- 28:29this with books and, you know, you probably could do it with anything.
- 28:32Right?
- 28:32You can.
- 28:33And that, and that's the coolest part about the decentralized space.
- 28:37And, and decentralized finance in general.
- 28:40It's been around for a while.
- 28:41However, I, I still feel like it, it has the, it needs to catch on even more.
- 28:48You know, it's our opportunity to revolutionize freedom through
- 28:52money and to stop being controlled.
- 28:55Right.
- 28:55You know?
- 28:55I love that.
- 28:57I think it's fantastic.
- 28:58Yeah.
- 28:59Daniel, that, that is incredible.
- 29:01So, uh, what, what other, uh, things do you see coming, uh, down the
- 29:04road as far as like, uh, because a.
- 29:07In the email you sent, you're like, AI's basically taking over.
- 29:10Sure.
- 29:11Uh, so it's, uh, it's, you know, artists are, it's gonna be very hard
- 29:14for artists going forward, but this could help, generate income, could,
- 29:19uh, help save artists and so forth.
- 29:21What, what do you see with the AI coming in?
- 29:24You know, I was, I was pretty, I had fear about AI and it taking jobs away.
- 29:31I think that you can relate it to the tech boom that happened, you know, years ago.
- 29:37There was a lot of fear around that.
- 29:40I think what, what would be beneficial is to embrace the technology
- 29:46and see how you can work with it and how it can work for you.
- 29:50I'm not a. Software developer.
- 29:53When I started this concept, I was literally asking gr,
- 29:57which is an incredible AI tool.
- 30:01Um, I was asking grok how to code this and copying and pasting code
- 30:05and doing trial and error, and all of a sudden Claude came out.
- 30:09Have you heard of Claude?
- 30:12Cloud is absolutely insane.
- 30:14You, it's, it's basically an extension for your coding platform.
- 30:18So you can load it into a visual code uh, a visual studio code and
- 30:25just prompt what you want it to do.
- 30:29And say you had a, an idea for a website or a concept, you could be live with
- 30:34a functional program within hours.
- 30:36You know, it, it increased my productivity on trying to make this
- 30:40product by 20 or 30 x immediately.
- 30:44And I, I, so I've see I rode that wave of like, you know, I tried AI coding
- 30:50programs when they were first coming out and they're, you know, they create
- 30:53this bloated code that's unusable.
- 30:55And then all of a sudden, the curve started to exponentially
- 30:59increase and it is daily.
- 31:00Right now.
- 31:01What's, what's occurring in the space right now is absolutely incredible.
- 31:05And I encourage people who are interested to, to watch what's happening, you know,
- 31:09with Grok, with Grock, imagine, uh, with what Elon Musk is doing is incredible.
- 31:15With Claude bot, you know, they had to change the name
- 31:17now to, to molt bot, I think.
- 31:19But it's kind of wild.
- 31:20And it's, it's also, you know, we gotta be careful 'cause, you know,
- 31:25we, we have there's, certain things that probably should be regulated
- 31:30even though I can't stand regulation.
- 31:33It's, uh, it's a new territory and just paying attention to
- 31:37it I think is fascinating.
- 31:40There's somebody, uh, that posted in here.
- 31:41I don't know if you're familiar with this, uh, ion Enoch ai.
- 31:46Have you heard of that?
- 31:47No, I haven't, but I will check that out.
- 31:49Yeah.
- 31:50Cool.
- 31:51So, uh, there's lots of, new technologies coming out and, uh, how do you see
- 31:56technology being utilized by the music industry itself, uh, AI and so forth?
- 32:02Sure.
- 32:02So I think that's a really interesting space right now.
- 32:05SUNO is the leader of AI music creation.
- 32:10Uh, what it's doing is fascinating.
- 32:14Sonic quality struggles.
- 32:17And that's where like you, you can do, uh, video generation using Rocky Imagine
- 32:22or, or, uh, you know, a multitude of different platforms and it's really good.
- 32:27We're, we're gonna see AI movies and AI video games within a year.
- 32:32I would say
- 32:33absolutely.
- 32:33Absolutely.
- 32:34Which is crazy.
- 32:35Old
- 32:35stars come back to life.
- 32:36It's, it'll be, it'll be crazy.
- 32:38I wonder if Hollywood people are gonna have to sell the rights
- 32:42to their likeness or something.
- 32:43You know?
- 32:44I, I just, it, it's, it's an interesting idea.
- 32:46Yeah.
- 32:47That's a, that's very interesting idea.
- 32:49That would be some way that they could profit from, of course, they,
- 32:51you know, reserve the rights, uh, for their you know, image being utilized
- 32:56in certain films and so forth.
- 32:57They could probably make a just like when, uh, we back in oday when they
- 33:01had the cartoons for Disney and so forth, uh, and then they would have
- 33:04the voiceover from Stars and so forth.
- 33:07They got, they got compensated for that.
- 33:09It should the same way with, uh, you know, an artist, uh, that,
- 33:13you know, has their music or um.
- 33:16A model that's, you know, their likeness is used, all kind of crazy stuff.
- 33:20So, uh, it will be interesting.
- 33:23Some people are looking at it, oh, it's gonna be stolen, but
- 33:25I it can be, uh, captured kinda like what you're talking about.
- 33:29So that you benefit from it.
- 33:31Yeah.
- 33:31Ideally that, that would happen.
- 33:33I mean, it, it's changing, changing the space so rapidly.
- 33:36Mm-hmm.
- 33:37Uh, and when it comes to music AI generation there,
- 33:39there's a long way to go.
- 33:41If you go onto Suno and you want to make a rock and roll track or something
- 33:46like that, it just doesn't sound great.
- 33:48I think they're doing a fantastic job with what they're doing.
- 33:50I'm not, I'm not trying to knock it.
- 33:52If you make a, you know, a hip hop song that's minimal, you know, has
- 33:57maybe a synth and a bass line with a kick, it actually sounds really good.
- 34:00For me, being in, in music for so long, I, I really appreciate sonic
- 34:04quality and, and depth and, you know, when, when you can almost feel like
- 34:08you can reach in and grab the song.
- 34:10AI is not doing that yet.
- 34:13Uh, I think that it's only a matter of time, you know, and of course it
- 34:16threatens my job, but I'm, I'm not gonna think about it like that anymore.
- 34:20You know, I, I, I choose to think about it as how, how can I use this?
- 34:26You know, there's, I'm, I'm in a, uh, uh, a group on X that is full of
- 34:32some of the most creative people I've met, even though, met cyber in, in
- 34:37cyber world and how they're utilizing these tools expands my mind every day.
- 34:42And I, I'm really grateful for that 'cause it's like, oh, this is actually paving
- 34:46way to new skill and new forms of art.
- 34:51We can't, I, I, I think that it's, I think that it, it is unwise
- 34:56to shun something like that,
- 34:57yeah.
- 34:58I think ultimately, you know, like for yourself the musical talent
- 35:02and the, the creativity, they're not gonna be able to, uh, you know,
- 35:06replicate that, at least at this point.
- 35:08So that's, that's where we're kind of safe.
- 35:10Uh, they're not gonna be able to come in and.
- 35:12Create on the level that we do.
- 35:14So what were your thoughts on that?
- 35:16Yeah, I agree.
- 35:17I, I totally agree.
- 35:19I, you, we could do the Pepsi challenge to any music, and I
- 35:22can tell you which one's ai.
- 35:23And whether that's good or bad.
- 35:26I'm not going to judge it.
- 35:28But it, it, it definitely, there's improvement with Sonics,
- 35:32which is interesting to me.
- 35:34'cause it's like, how, how can you make a video look completely real and convincing?
- 35:39But the music isn't quite there yet.
- 35:41You know, I guess a algorithm rhythmically it, it, it needs to improve.
- 35:47Yeah, definitely, definitely.
- 35:49Uh, so Daniel, I I have, I have your link in the description box, but if
- 35:54people want to contact you about this information how could they do that?
- 35:58Uh, yeah, I mean, you can go to the Pump Tracks do fund website and my, my x handle
- 36:04is, is there, um, if you're on X, you can go to, uh, pump Tracks fund capital
- 36:10P, and then capital Fun at the end.
- 36:14Based audio is also, that's kind of my, my main social handle there.
- 36:20So yeah, feel free to, to direct message.
- 36:22I check all the time and I'm open for collaborations,
- 36:26suggestions anything really.
- 36:29I'm excited about this and I, and I want to see people use it.
- 36:34Yeah, definitely.
- 36:35Uh, you know, everybody that's listening just jump on over
- 36:37there and, uh, you know, follow.
- 36:38That's, that's pretty easy.
- 36:40You, I think we're gonna see some good things here, Daniel, and I'd,
- 36:43I'd love to have you back on when, uh, you know, something kicks for you.
- 36:46Uh.
- 36:47Gosh, when you, when you're on the road with your children, man, if you guys
- 36:50did a, did some kind of musical thing and video, whatever I'd love to post it.
- 36:56Oh, I, I appreciate that.
- 36:57Yeah, we definitely will.
- 36:58And you know, I, I would be completely honored to come back and talk more.
- 37:02That sounds
- 37:03great.
- 37:03Yeah, absolutely.
- 37:04Yeah.
- 37:05I think, uh, what's beautiful about what you're doing is they've taken a
- 37:09lot of art and music out of the schools.
- 37:11I remember, you know, when I grew up, it was like, ev every.
- 37:14Every week, uh, you're doing something.
- 37:17Uh, I was in the choir.
- 37:19I was, you know, I played the flute and Yeah.
- 37:21Uh, you know, different stuff.
- 37:22Uh, but, you know, we, we were always involved with art and, uh, that's,
- 37:26uh, but I guess now it's kind of like pretty much taking it out.
- 37:30Yeah.
- 37:30I, I have a lot of feelings and opinions about that.
- 37:34I bet.
- 37:34Yeah.
- 37:35It's a shame.
- 37:36You know, my, my kids when they were in public school last year and, and leading
- 37:42up to that, that was the only class they would complain about was music.
- 37:45And it's like, what?
- 37:48Seriously?
- 37:49Um, and it, it, yeah, it, it needs attention 'cause it's very important.
- 37:54And if we want a, a culture that has the depth we have to have art and
- 37:59music, that, that is a, that is a must.
- 38:03I agree.
- 38:04I agree.
- 38:05And, uh, that's, that's so beautiful that you're taking your, your children,
- 38:08you're totally exposing them to music.
- 38:10And so that creativity, who knows, they might not be the musician of the future,
- 38:14but that creativity that comes through, which I appreciate, you know, having
- 38:18gone through, uh, a lot of music in the past you know, comes out in other ways.
- 38:22So, uh, you know, opening those, uh, those doorways, uh, to creativity is fantastic.
- 38:27So great job.
- 38:28Thank you.
- 38:29I appreciate that.
- 38:30Yeah.
- 38:31All right, Daniel, thanks so much for coming on, and like I said, I look
- 38:34forward to, uh, you know, seeing your work in the future and what you're
- 38:37up to, and, uh, we'll keep in touch.
- 38:40I look forward to it.
- 38:40Thank you so much, Michael.
- 38:42Thank you.
- 38:42All
- 38:43right.
- 38:43I.
