- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Three Yards Perkati, a podcast covering the Miami Dolphins and the NFL.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's your host, Chris, Alf, and Simon.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_02]: And we're on.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: This is Three Yards Perkari.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Alfredo Etagas.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in Clancy as here with me.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: Chris is somewhere floating in the Caribbean.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: Not that he's dead or anything, but he's on a boat
- 0:34[SPEAKER_01]: No, I like dry land and you know stuff.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really stock on it.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like the I don't like the public first of all I don't really stock on a boat with the public which is like Sounds just like hell on earth to me.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: One of my one of my biggest nightmares actually did happen here in the United States which was around COVID
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: a cruise ship in California was just stuck out there for 45 days and that being allowed to port.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there was an outbreak.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's literally happening right now.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: There's a hand to virus outbreak on a ship where two people, three people have died already and the ship just can't dock anywhere.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: So zero chance, what I want to do stuff on that.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_02]: No for me.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now for me, I get invited to them all the time.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: I get told, oh, this is lovely.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to say, Marnie, or we're going to make it.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, no, no, no.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: Because the first time they tell me, look, you quarantined.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: I jump off the fucking boat, and I swim back to shore.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: Put me on dry land, and let me just do my own thing with the people I want to be around.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: Not a load of people who, no chance.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: uh uh we're going to go on hiatus after this show by the way and we'll be back with you right after the fourth of July so it's going to be a lengthy one but if you want to participate you want to you want to interact with all of us all three of us including cowcrups and many others from five reasons you could go to our discord and that's at discord.gg4x-onlyfins 299 read only 499 all access join on a desktop

- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: I put a link on how to join in every single one of our promotions.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: So do that.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get into it.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of NFL news.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: The latest is on Aaron Rogers and we'll get to that in a second, but we're not going to spend a lot of time on this.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: So though everybody else is, we're just going to do maybe five minutes on this.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: When this story first broke, meaning Mike Raeble and Diana were sitting, I expect, oh, this is just one of those stories that just breaks out of nowhere and it was just go away and I guess they expected it to go away because they just did the shaggy defense to say, no, no, no, we don't know what the hell you're talking about, no, no, this is real.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: But now it's been like a concerted.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's like a slow drip drip drip.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody is coordinating all of this.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: My guess is it's probably, we're seeing his husband.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: But somebody is coordinating all of this for maximum effect and maximum damage to Mike Frable.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_02]: Your thoughts, Simon.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: This ends in Mike Frable taking the year off.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: I feel.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know where it ends.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: I just speak, I mean, what I've heard is that Diana Racini is waiting to go scorched earth on everything.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: And that, whether that happens or not, somebody is going to be offering big cash for her to do a big interview with STV or online or whatever.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: So, and whether it's a tell all, it was clear that they were having an affair for multiple years, the boat stuff, the TMZ, uncovered it, you know, highlights that.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you just got kind of feel for the families, the variable family, the, you know, his wife and kids, the senior's wife husband and kids, you know, has pretty much been pretty shitty for them having their entire life just turned upside down.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, I did love the fact that inside the NBA had the, the front of the boat on the Titanic before it was a reveal that there was, whether that was Coincidence or not, I was probably Coincidence, but it was pretty funny.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's not funny because, you know, this is people's lives.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is 2026, right?
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: You just can't get away with lying.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: There are too many factors involved.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: There are too many people.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: There's too many people with cameras and smartphones and people with receipts and stuff.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: And look, you're might variable.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: You're a head coach for Super Team.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: you know, you coached a play for the New England pictures, you won soup bowls, you would obviously chemistry it with the clients, people know who you are, you know.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, it's, it's ugly and I suspect it's going to get uglier.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: So, and realistically, like, and I would joke about it, but nobody wins in this.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I read everybody loses, so, but yeah, I suspect there's more, more shit to come before I go think for.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the only person I could win in all of this, like, variable is headed to be a pretty big loser in all of this.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: The only person I could win in all of this is receiving if she's just really craving the ambitious and loves money.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: The way she got work, you know what I mean?
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, where do you work now?
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think what's obvious is what's already been out there is that a lot of people want to pay her to do a podcast.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: So like her journalism career is over, like that's done.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: That's the.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: So she's going to talk into a microphone and make millions of millions of others like that's that's for future from now on.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't we get it on three YPC?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: I've got a number.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: I should just drop her a text.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: I got the number of a few of these people and every time I look at it, I'm like, wow.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I might even have her number.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: because she was with on the laboratory crew for a while.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: So in fact, I'm looking at it.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I have a chair now.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, this is like, we're going to the show.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: Give you the last three numbers and he can work out whether or not you go the same.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a drip drip drip drip drip.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's a, like, part of the mystery is going to be finding out who exactly is doing all of this.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: And
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if it's somebody that, you know, that has it in for the New England Patriots and my variable, but I think it's probably her husband that's doing this because it's obviously this cost money to send a private investigator to a hotel that's $2,000 a night.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_02]: You think that private investigator is just crawling through the desert to take these pictures or he, he got a room at $2,000 a night taking the pictures.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the last two, the last three numbers on your phone.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: Zero eight.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's a different number then.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, now the one I have is different.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure that it's different.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to, I'm going to.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: I wish it out, I don't think I'm gonna say if she's on WhatsApp, who I would talk to.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: No, mine is through somebody else, so it's not her direct line.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't believe it.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: I have a direct line to other people in the news, by the way.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_02]: But moving on, because I'm trust me there'll be more on this later.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: Moving on.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: This and Rogers Pittsburgh Steelers saga is all kinds of interesting and probably only interesting to me because the Steelers have managed to pull off
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what you would call it.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's something that hardly ever worked for anybody.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: The Steelers essentially just waited out like it's a siege on Aaron Rogers.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_02]: They basically just waited them out all off season.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: And now it seems like Aaron Rogers is going to report and report for the same money he was going to get.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: So not a dime more.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's interesting, right?
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like we are prepared, like the Steelers essentially said, we are prepared to implode our season, destroy our season.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: But we're not paying you a dime more.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: And Aaron Rogers, like, okay, fine, I'll just show up and play.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: Was that, is that as interesting to you as that is to me that a team finally pulled something off like this?
- 8:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's hard to imagine he plays for 15 million, which is why a deal must be, you know, asked to be worked out and finalized.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: But it looks like, I mean, I think is, is it not in three to seven the fan in Pittsburgh report and he's going to sign with the students as we can.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: Look, who knows, I'm surprised he hasn't retired, frankly.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: But I think Mike, I think, you know, having Mike McCarthy back in is probably the factor that keeps in there because my understanding was he was probably gonna walk way in the last season, but also like, you know, they need wider silver help and they certainly done a little bit to get that it receivers, you know,
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: with decimet car from Michael Pettman and Jimmy Benard and those guys, you know, so all's tight in.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: On the tight ends, etc.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, we'll we'll see.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's get into some of these UTFAs.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: You're excited by the UTFA group.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's because the dolphins are kind of devoid of talent, but I see a couple of guys here that probably should have been draft picks.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: I love Levi Amos.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I've said this before.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: People have asked me, who does he remind you of?
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: He reminds me of Jalen Wright.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's who he reminds me of.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: And Jim Wright is not right.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: Lavy on moss could be taking his job.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: And Renekong, guys, like I who I think should have probably been drafted.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: And he's a shot across the bow to the class of 2025.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I use excited as I am about the UDFA class.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I thought it was an outstanding class to be honest.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was probably four or five guys that I would be really surprised they didn't make the team.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Moss is one of them.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, you look at the speed.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's a state champion, 100 meter full, about 100 meter run, he's a 10, eight, 400 meter runer.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's a return guy, you know, he had returned, touchdowns in high school, touchdowns in high school.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: He obviously has had injuries.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's a torn both his ACL and his MCL in 2020,
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: last year then he got a high-end cost-braining miss six games last year and met for the first round of the college play off re-engineered it again.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: So he's really not played a great deal of football in two years up, stylistically, and you know, physically.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: in terms of how he runs, but certainly stylistically in how he runs, he actually looks like Adrian Peterson.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: To me, he's up, he's up right, he's high-cut.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: That is obviously where the comparison is end, but I like his disciples, I like his acceleration.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's got really good junk car and lateral ability, and I think he was on the path to being a day to pick.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: If you'd stayed healthy in 24 and stayed healthy in 25, he'll run over guys or run through guys or run around guys.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: the past protection thing is an issue, you know, along with the injured, he's a statue in past protection, he can't slow down, but it says he doesn't have a great of the selling of the route tree or a sea where he's not a natural hands catcher, he's also been arrested, you know, he was arrested last summer on charges of threaten abuse, making multiple threats
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: that he was with.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, there are obvious off-field concerns and on-field concerns, but as an undrafted free agent, I think, you know, there's a change of pace guy at 510, 203 pounds and a return specialist.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he'd come off the board mid to late day 3.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: So, any specific for his own scheme.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, I thought Moss was a really good guy.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: who was getting quite a lot of pub in the kind of the last couple of weeks of the draft cycle in terms of it was just a name that was beginning to garner some attention in terms of a guy that teams were on to in that kind of late area.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought, you know, watching the tape, I thought he was a really interesting guy.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: It was crazy athletic.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, around
- 12:42[SPEAKER_01]: Um, that I can ever remember if we're in interior defensive line.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: He ran a 703 put that in context.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Fletcher Cots ran a 707.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: Aaron Donald was a 711.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: Emmett Johnson and the Nebraska running back who went off in the draft this year had a 732.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's flashes on the tape, but the downside consistency was always the thing that was the issue for me, you know, the quickness, the explosion, off the snap, all of those things.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: He ducked his head a bit into contact, a load of pressures around 40 pressures the last two season.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: 25% win rate on troops for a set from inside and the plow out as far as the seven techniques so he can play all along the line.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I thought it was a really interesting player, it just needs to go from flash to gas in terms of, do you know what I mean, just have the, it can't just be the occasional, you know, two plays here and then you never hear from him in a game.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm sure I think has certainly got a chance that the two guys I really like and I think are, you know, not locks because there are question marks about both of them, but who I think are really kind of,
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: I've got a real legitimate chance.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a racer of Wisconsin who, who I think, you know, six year senior, the only reason Mason argued wasn't, I mean, I thought it was going to come off in the fifth round.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: The only reason he wasn't a fifth round or higher is the fact that he's had six knee surgeries on his knee to the C&A 2023.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: He,
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: had a torn ACL, and it was really bad injury, and he got an infection in the bone, which essentially caused him to miss all of 2024, then he suffered a stress fracture in his right leg, had to have a metal rod inserted into it, into the shed.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: But when he went to the combine, he got the all cleared, didn't even have to go to the combine, recheck.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought like I said, he was a fifth round pick, because a solid outside line back.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the tape.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: He is a technical rush, so he's got fast hands.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: being corner, he's got a nonstop motor.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't the dollar general tray Hendrickson.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's a real glue guy, added to the glue guy as a taffron and Lewis and those guys that we drafted, you know, he played at Northern Michigan as a D2 player, transferred to Louisville, then transferred to Wisconsin.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, as a past Russia, there's loads to like, you know, it's quick off the boys, let's speed around the edge,
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, flexing his ankles, he's a long strived as a close, he can chase everything down like the bull, the bull carer stole his lunch money.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: I, I really liked him.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was a, you know, I thought was shot, he didn't get drafted and it's down to the injury.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: And his age is 24.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, big fan of Mason Rage.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: And then the guy who I really liked, who, I mean, he was the,
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just looking now.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think it might be the seventh or eighth rank safety on my board is Lewis Moore of Indiana.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the reason he wasn't got drafted is he's 25 and he didn't run particularly, I didn't work absolutely well, he's undersized.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's five, 10, 100, no one pounds, right?
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, he would be 26 for the Super Bowl.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: So that's obviously going to cap his seeding.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's seven years in college football, right?
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't vast experience.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't have a load of miles on the clock because he played three seasons at Navarro Junior College.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: Outstanding Gunner on a pump coverage,
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: when he was at JuCo and Navarro didn't have a team doctor or an athletic trainer.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: So he literally played the rest of the game, and he was in the limping around, went to hospital, on his own record, he realized he was born his ACL.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_01]: Returned for the 2021 season, but the knee wasn't fully healed.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: And so, and he was a receiver.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: And so, the coaches decided to put it with safety, because it wasn't nearly as stressful with cuts and the comebacks, and all that sort of stuff.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: Um, one of the case in the parvier ruling to get, uh, actually years which he did went to Indiana this small fifth short as arms of anybody at the combine, but he's just a really good fundamentally south football player and he's just so instinctive like so instinctive.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: He has never not in the right place at the right time.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: He was the absolute, you look at the Mikhail Kamara.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: Adon Fischer and more the absolute glue for Indiana defense last season you look at his pick in the big ten championship game against Julian Sagan said Ohio State he's just it's all instinct all right You don't really necessarily what in one on one with a guy in the slot those sorts of things
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: You want to avoid him being isolated over the top in single coverage, but with everything in front of him and the zone scheme that half runs, it's just going to work for him, it taxed down hill hard and like I said, the instincts of just outstanding, you know, he works his way he's a guy that overtake a love watching guy to overtake teammates to make tackles.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's what he does.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they'll dive a bit at the end because every now and again, but he's got some stopping power when he arrives.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's like 510191 and I said, it's the same kind of ballpark as tap, but
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, I wrote in the draft book that I would absolutely feel comfortable with him early day three and actually I wouldn't have been the age would have been the only factor which was stop me taking him on day two because the ball skills, the leadership and the instincts were all there and fame to go on draft him for the dolphins to get him wasn't outstanding moves.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I really like the UDFA class.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a really good player there.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I completely agree.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think a few of these guys are damn your locks for the roster.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_02]: Especially in the safety room when it's kind of light and Louis Moore is not somebody who's going to lock anybody up at nickel, but if you look at the roster right now, it's a little bit light on guys that can play in the nickel unless you're going to play Chris Johnson there or you're going to unless you're going to play Carlos there.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 18:09[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think he's going to find a role on the team.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to go to the right.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: We're now.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: Skies go a chance as well.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: But I thought for now, he's a fabulous college quarterback.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: That's now that's the issue.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: He was a fabulous college quarterback.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't think he was much of a prospect.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: But can he help you holding a clipboard?
- 18:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like when he's the willingness to call it back in college football history, because he started 68 games.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: He finished 58 and 10.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: You go back and look at, you know, he went to South Dakota State, one three national championships there.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: The 37 and 3 is a star, 29 straight wins, won the FCS Highsman was finest for the academic Highsman, comes to Iowa, and he plays in that absolutely, 1893 offense, where it's just run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run,
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: When he got to a thrice, Paul in the pocket is feet of good.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's well balanced.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a really nice feel for the position.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: He understands how to work through his progressions quickly, and get the ball out to where he needs to go.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: He works really well in a cloudy pocket.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: He can use his feet.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_01]: He can use his legs.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: He can work.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he might have a load along runs, not just from either for RPOs or just design runs.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: He's calm in the pocket.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think he...
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: A, I think he's a really good backup core back, but also, I mean, it's pre the Hawkeye's offensive corner is Tim Lestor, head coach Tim Lester.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_01]: He worked with Matt LaFlaugh, half.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: John Eric in Green Bay, he was a coach in Green Bay, ended up as the Hawkeye State coach.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, the dolphins would have known all about Granalsky.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_01]: He came on a 30 visit, so, you know, putting the jigsaw pieces together, multi-port multiple team caps in a Iowa, and it's South Dakota State, and three years in high school, just mature, great leader.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: If you go back and look at I was game against Oregon last season, 93 are drive in the rain on the road to take the lead at the end of the game, like, you know, people talk about Mendoza's driving its Penn State.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to ask you to drive against Oregon was just as just as impressive.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think he'll um, you know, I think he's a, you know, if you're Cam Miller, you need to be nervous and quite frankly,
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: you know, if your cream you is, you probably need to be nervous.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't be surprised going to ask you makes the roster.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up as the number two quarterback.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think it's crazy either.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to go to break.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: When we come back, we'll talk about the media blitz that Jeff Haffley's been on and a little bit about expectations as we take a break for the summer.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: But first, these words,
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: and we're back.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Simon.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: A lot has been revealed by Jeff Halfley and John Erick Sullivan.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's a bit unfair to Chris Greer to say this, but I did the numbers and John Erick Sullivan has done, I believe, 11 press availability since being hired.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: And Chris Greer did four in the last four years.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: So, maybe that's just because they're new here, but Jeff Haffley being new here doesn't mean that, because the previous guy, Mike McDaniels, is to be on TV all the time, and I'll radio all the time.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: We're all his friends, but Jeff Haffley's been doing the rounds, and he's kind of revealed that, yeah, Kate and Proctor was the pick.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's been over a week now,
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: how we come to terms with it and what they wanted to accomplish with the Kate and Proctor pick because as somebody told me other day, look, I I guess I could reveal this here because I revealed that on on our discord only fence, they were not considering Ruben Bayon Jr.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_02]: But they were on Caleb Downs.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_02]: Now, they were fine on passing on killdowns in exchange for two fifth or on picks because trust me, they knew that the cowboys were taking killdowns.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_02]: You don't make a trade unless you know exactly what the team you're trading with is going to do with your pick.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: But have you come to turn for that?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: Have you understood what they're trying to accomplish?
- 22:09[SPEAKER_02]: Especially since they've already announced he's the starter at left guard, which you know, if you're doing it, if you're joining us to buy an ice somewhere and you hear that, you're like, whoa, I guess I'm
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I understood it when it happened, right?
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like it necessarily, but I certainly understood it.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it was clear, you know, a lot of fuss was made about, you know, what half said about he's going to be a tackle in, you know, we're going to start with a guard, but, you know, a prime position ID is going to kick to tackle.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think anybody didn't think he was going to kick to tackle, you know, next year.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: Unless he's just an all-pro at guard.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, look, I see the vision.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: I understand it in terms of what they want to do.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand it in terms of how to play like downs on the board and not taking him.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: But especially, I think deep down half is, yeah, I just don't understand that half, deep down secretly, wouldn't be kicking himself thinking, God, what I could have done with that downs kid in terms of just defense of X coach.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: He knows how to stay.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: He knows how good this kid is versus a guy.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: whatever we think of Proctor in terms of what he might be, he is a risk, okay, he's a risk.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: The weight is a risk, something in maturity is a risk.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's not planning his natural position is a risk.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: But he flipped that, he's a baby at 20.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he might be better suited to playing guard.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: So for the risks, there are rewards, and hopefully, you know, now it comes down to the coaching.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think what's Sullivan,
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: have done generally.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: It is speak a very good game since they took over and I think that's important.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: I can be important to win fans over.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's important to win the media over, which they've certainly done.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's important to do a lot of what they've just done generally in terms of going out and
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we've talked about on the podcast right away through.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: They've been honest and they've told us what they're going to do and then they've turned around and done it.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, half saying, look, we got into the room and argued that, you know, at some point down the line, we could be looking at.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we'll see how it plays out.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it plays out.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: But I get the vision.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like necessarily love what they did with the player that was on the board, but I can't argue with that being part of the master plan.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he went on to talk about Rodriguez saying that he was the one pick they were surprised and stood on the board.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody was really excited about it.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_01]: they talked about Malik, and obviously he's worked so close to Malik and they buy the vision there.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: But also I think he was really honest in terms of the assessment of the team moving forwards.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: He knows they're going to be a really young team they are.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think the youngest team in the league.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: in terms of age, player per capita as it were.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, and I think expectations generally there'll be competitive, there'll be tough.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: And if they're not competitive with tough, they'll get somebody else in who can be competitive with tough.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: They've got a load of guys competing at a load of positions and that's all you can ask for.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I think ultimately what this is out and I think we know this is a foundation here, right?
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: They're laying foundations for,
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: The 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030, and they want to walk away in 2027, 28 with 10, 15 foundational pieces where they'd go with Malik, Devon, you know, Patrick, Caden, A-Ron, you know, who else Kenneth, you know, all of these guy, Jacob, Jordan Brooks, you know,
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: Chris Johnson and they've just got these foundational pieces, especially those key positions You know, they need to get air crushers It's a massive year for short-runments and I think some massive year for those in internal guys on a defensive line Because they're not half-skies.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're not solid guys.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll have to see out plays out But this is about foundational peace building and see where we get to
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and putting the room-based junior thing to bed.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we should have seen this coming, right?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like, who won the Green Bay Packers in the last few years?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, even resembles.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, nobody.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, nobody.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it, right?
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: You go back and look at the players that the Packers drafted in the first round.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_01]: People get, oh, you know, can't keep talking about the Packers and where are we?
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: Or you can, because, you know, Sullivan worked under Ted Thompson, Brian Goodenkins, but also, you know,
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: way the one wrong wall plan and that's how the pack is of all was drafted so that was always going to help you know always going to help indicate what they were going to do and if you think about he went there and what 2002 you look at the guys they took at those outside line back or age positions you know in terms of their size and stuff Nick Barnett was like 272 you know
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: You know, who else they're taking the first round, who was an edge guy I'm just looking now.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: Van Ness is 275.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Perry was in the twos and I'm 277.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: His Dayton Jones was 280, you know, I mean, none of these guys were like, and they're all kind of big six foot four, six foot five, six or six guys.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: These are not.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Van Ness is six five, Rashan Gary, Gary six four, six three six four, 272 when he got drafted.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, these are big old units.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: There's no
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: measures in the same way that the veins are such a unique physical is 62 to 65 with 30 in jobs.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: That is a complete outline, almost in the high and the in the arm length situation.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: So, look, you're going to get measured, ultimately the dolphins are going to get measured, Sullivan and Hathry, but Sullivan, especially in Karsmith, will get measured on what
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: and what downstairs.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: And if Bane and Dound are turning into all pros and Cade and Proctor becomes the guy that the Titans drafts at the end of the first round a few years back and then we ended up and inflamed out Isaiah Wilson.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: Wilson, the kid, if Proctor ends up, as bad as Isaiah Wilson, the end's at McIbeck's and the other two become all pros or pro-bolas.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where the Taylor, the tape will ultimately be.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: But we just have to trust that they've got it right and we'll see where we go.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: I say I Wilson was a special case.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: So he won't remember that whole saga.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: They brought him in here on a Thursday.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_02]: And on a Sunday, he was stopped by the police because he was hanging out of a convertible.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: High and drunk.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: What the hell is that?
- 28:40[SPEAKER_03]: What the fuck?
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: Probably played in the UFO or something like that.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's trying to actually play it.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, we're inside there Wilson.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's a great question.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: He is, he works under, he's now got a music career.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, it's the same G.G.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: Bowser, let's see how successful it is.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_02]: Of course he has the music career.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's deleted his debut album with Spotify, so it can't be that good.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_02]: I've never heard of that before.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: You released your debut album and then you deleted it?
- 29:15[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not very proud of his, uh, imagine that word.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, imagine just fucking your life out of that badly.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, he just went crazy.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: It was one of these people.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: They give him money and he just lost his mind.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: He got money and he said, yep, I don't think he arrived.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was, I mean, it was pretty obvious he was a bad kid before.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: John Robert, so I'm just trying to see where he is.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: John, for me, Titus, Jim, John Robertson, broke his silence on the infamous selection of Georgian capital, Isaiah Wilson, there's a quote here that I just saw in the thing that it said, Robert's was asked for that and he did a decent job of wearing it.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: He said,
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: I won't go to the details of that one.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say that was the COVID year, right?
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they've got shut us down in mid-March, and it's not an excuse at the end of the day as much of a good right guy, but we weren't able to do that.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I liken it to a table game.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I hit the T. Sometimes I'm going to the table game, the kids swing, and then the ball just falls down.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have to go even hit the T on that one.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's bad.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want that shit.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: That was a fun one.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: That was a real fun one.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_02]: So let's talk a little bit about what we have to look forward to here.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_02]: Because the next time we speak on this podcast, the OTAs would have already happened.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to have a schedule.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to know who they're playing and when and where.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: So what are the realistic expectations of this coming season?
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what do you want to see?
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: Because I wanted to ask this question on only friends or discord.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: And again, you could join their discord.gg forward slash only friends.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: I wanted to ask this question.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_02]: Will and I'm going to ask you right now because I got a feeling where your answer's going to be.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think we're on the same boat here.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_02]: Will the Miami Dolphins reach the end of the hunt graphic this coming season?
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I tend to agree with you.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: Usually to make that graphic yet to be within three games of making the playoffs were like a month ago, something like that, right?
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what I think the Dolphins look like.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: a lot of things I'm going to like, but what I think the dolphins need to, they're obviously going to play hard, they're obviously going to be coached hard, but the lack of talent, especially in the secondary I think will probably hurt them, especially past rush will probably hurt them, and especially at receiver will probably hurt them.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think that it will be hard to judge my league where it's based on what happens because he doesn't have the supporting cast
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: So when the draft comes around next year and you've got all these kids that, you know, I started the draft book and you've obviously got arched and you've got daunting more and you've got Julian Sayon and Sellers, you know, and you've got Mr. Maker and Chambliss and CJ Carr and Mincer and Drake Lindsay and John Meteer and Sam Levitt and my Arver and I'm Ely Arver and Lagway and
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: got sugar and all these like, you know what I mean, this is just, that's just the goal of that.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to find yourself in a position where, can I get myself a Jeremiah Smith?
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: Can I get myself a Dylan Stewart?
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: To me, the, you know, the two absolute outlier, can I get myself a Leonard more?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's already the three super super, super blue chip players in this drop.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: Leonard more than no sedan corner, Dylan Stewart, the gun be like, you know, athlete on the edge.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: You just
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I mean, this kid is like Von Miller, like the lateral abilities unbelievable, and then Jeremiah Smith, can I get the guy that could, you know, the, the, the Julio Jones kid, you know, and if you're finding yourself drafting in the top six or seven, I don't think that's the end of the world.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think you're going to be in a different situation financially next year in terms of how you're able to spend a little bit of free agent cash.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: but also you're gonna position in a great draft where you won't need a call back, I don't think, because I think the leak will, I've done enough to go.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, the surrounding class is pretty poor, but Chris Bell is now gonna be 100% healthy and we're gonna add Jeremiah Smith and all of a sudden your offensive weapons are gonna be Devon H and Jeremiah Smith, Chris Bell, XXXX, you know what I mean?
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, okay, this is now there's gonna be some talent.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: Or defensively, you're gonna be like, okay.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_01]: We missed out on Jeremiah Smith, but we've got, we've got Dylan Stewart, we've got Damon Wilson, we've got, you know, in the second round, we added Matteo Yui, Angela Lay from Oregon, or John Henry Doty from Michigan, or whatever, and you know, and then we can add a, I don't know, Kelly Jones from Mississippi State, or a Elizabeth Robinson from Georgia, or a Zacklapma from Iowa, and you know, all of a sudden, you know, in the first three picks,
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: we're just hitting hitting in homers to add to the players that we've got, then you're bringing in some free agents and boom you start then you're then you're in the running you know you're on the graphic with two weeks to go and then that following season 28 when you have another you know another good draft and the players that you drafted this year and the players that we drafted last year are really beginning to come to the fore then you're like okay now we're challenging for the division tile.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I tend to agree like 2027 is the year where you can, you know, you can have that that ride the 9 and 8 that gets you the 7 seed, but this year getting in that graphic is going to be pretty impossible because there's just so many ifs.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: on this team.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: Even the the best of this team is probably the run game because it has us because they have a superstar at running back.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I believe that Malik Wallace will help the running game more than Tuttunga Ballauded because what Tuttunga Ballaud did that would help the running game is that he was very good at the mesh point.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: He was very good as a ball handler and play action player.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: The problem was he wasn't very good passer that last year.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: So that hurt
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, HN had maybe the second most productive season for running back in team history, but I think Malik Willis' legs and his arm where he can reach every part of the field is going to help the running game immensely.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_02]: Problem is that, you know, pretty much every other part of the team is just not good yet, and it's just a bunch of F's.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: My fear is this and I wonder if this is your concern as well because you already said a Malik Willis like we're not going to know because the spawning cats can be pretty poor like essentially the Wiber Severs like we don't know like we don't know have been like we like some of these guys Like we think Crispel could be a nice player But we don't know much about these these guys on the outside
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: My fear is this, like, is there a possibility that at the end of the season, we're just not going to know.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then you're going to be sitting there with a top five pick, maybe even a top three pick.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: And Jeremiah Smith, essentially, is going to be in your hands if you want them.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like, if you want them, you're going to be able to take them and hand them over to Malik Wallace.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_02]: But you're going to have to willingly pass on a Dante Moore on a archmanning or possibly even trading down to grab a Menta or a Mesta maker later on in the first round.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: Is that the fear because that's my concern?
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: My concern is that we're just sitting there with a top five pick.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: And we either hand Jeremiah Smith to Malik Wallace, or we try to fix the quarterback position once and for all with a very, very high pick.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: Is that your concern because that's mine?
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think so.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think he got to get, you know, you got to be able to see him, Malik.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise, I just don't think he can pass on the quarterback.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: Now it depends who comes out.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like there is no guarantee that arch comes out next year.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's only going to be a red shirt junior, you know, so it does he definitely come out.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't necessarily think the definitively comes out.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think what you think that team success will will will dictate that.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: If he's a national championship game, he's coming out, right?
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: If he wins the Heisman, he's coming out.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_01]: probably, but just look at the family.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only thing I'd say, just in terms of, you know, Chandler's obviously senior, Mr. Make is just a registered sophomore, you know, so source B is the interesting one to me.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: What happens to Brennan's source B in terms of, you know, because if you were to spend a third round peak on a Brennan source, we were a fourth round peak in a supplemental draft, you'll get in potentially, potentially a first round quarterback.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: for a fourth round pick, but obviously coming with the question marks that he has T.J. Carr mentioned something more, you know, Darren Mintz has just a red shirt junior, Drake Lindsey's red shirt sophomore.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: We could have a situation where we talk about this amazing draft we could talk about for ages and actually the guys that, you know, we think you're going to come out are just not, you know, definitively coming out.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: You know, of all the guys that you talk about in the first two rounds, only I think jade in my arva is a senior, and swordsbeez a senior, Chandler's a senior, but beyond that, I think everybody else is either a junior or a red church junior, you know, so.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be interesting to see, but that, that to me is the concern that you don't know enough about Malik or less same Malik gets injured in Game 6, God forbid he breaks his leg in Game 6, and it misses the rest of the year, and we just don't know enough, and then you end up with a third overall pick.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, more goes off the board first.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: Stuart goes second and you're sat there and you've got Arch Manning on the board and you just don't know, do you have the conviction in your court or back?
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: Who's now only got a year?
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's got two years, but really, a year left on his contract or do you take the Manning kid?
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: And that, that to me is the concern.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_01]: in a way that also puts the team, it puts the team back even though it puts them forwards, if that makes sense.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like you want me to be a success that you can draft during my Smith or I'll let him more or Dylan's shoot up.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: because you've already got your quarterback.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: If you're having to draft a quarterback having gone free agent deep on or on Malik, you're then almost back to the step that you were.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, you're kind of below the step that you were because Malik's paid four years in the league and art has got to get to that level.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: But maybe the further
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: The long game is higher than it would be with such a difficult thing to know.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just hope he plays well, and people say, oh yeah, look, he was hamstered by the talent around him at receiver.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: Dolphins have definitely got their guy.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, we're entering a jar for we've got Jeremiah Smith, but even if you've got Cam Cole when you've got a Mario Miller, the kid from Arizona State, who looks amazing, you've got Wingo, you've got Nick Marsh, you've got Ryan Williams.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: you got Charlie Becker, you know, Brian Westo, Clemson, you know, this is unbelievable receiving talent coming out by the looks of it next year as well.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully that's the situation we find ourselves in.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: If Malik Wallace is actually great, like he has a great season, he's going to drag the team to six wins and then they're not going to be in play for the top quarterbacks anyway, right?
- 40:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: And if he plays great, you don't need one, but then you're probably not going to have a shot at Jeremiah Smith.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know?
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean that's the issue is what happens if five teams who all need court of acts and five really good teams, you know, the dolphins are picking six, for example, and the top five teams will need callbacks, and there's five good callbacks going out, then you're fine.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what I mean?
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's like you don't want to be in a situation where you were this year, where you were on the periphery,
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, we missed out on a blue chip talent.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we missed out on a blue chip talent because they were very helpful.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know what I mean?
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to be outside of the more, if you don't need a quarterback, you don't want to be outside of the more smith.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_01]: Who's got a good steward kind of thing, that, you know, those to me are the guys, you know?
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we're a year away and players will obviously emerge.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, nobody was talking about Arvelle Reese.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: this time last year, you know, and there could easily be players, you know, as a kid or a guy, whose name I can't pronounce, Taitang to EOT, you know, you could easily be a high first round pick, there's the kid that Louisville Clave Loobin.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: For example, there are players, absolutely, there's the Notre Dame linebacker I was watching yesterday, the off-ball kid Kingston, Valia Mass, Valia Marwassa, you know, plans like that and you just like, okay, this kid is the first round a lot, you know.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't know, but as it stands, you want to get your hands on all of those absolute blue chips, super studs.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, if you're saying that, you know, you can walk away with a little more, walk away with a Julio Jones clone, you walk away with a von Miller clone.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, come on, that's, that's a different level.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's a first world problem if Malik Wallace is great.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: And he battles his way to six wins, right?
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like, you know, I guess it's something that we have to accept.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: On the way out here, there seems to be a lot of optimism that Devon H. He's going to get his deal and Aaron Brewer is acting as if his deal is going to happen.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: Which leaves one guy out in the cold because if you just have a working calculator, you figure out there won't be enough cash.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: for Jordan Brooks, at least the summer.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think this ends up with with Jordan Brooks?
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm gonna ask you about one more player, Jordan Brooks, is it gonna be a normal season?
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think he will, I mean, I don't think they're gonna wanna trade him unless somebody gets injured or genomic in terms of another, but it's him or bro, for an extension, because there's no money.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think, look, he's 28, he's gonna be 29 and October.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: they'll want to keep him and less a depends on what happens with Rodríguez, first of all.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: And also it depends if a challenger, you know, a contender has an a key injury at their key off-ball line back a spot before the end of the trade deadline.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: and they just have to, you know, they'd say little, we'll second round pick or a third round pick or whatever, and, you know, we're one and five or whatever, and at that point, you know,
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: Brew is the same age, pretty much I think they're birthdays in the same month.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: Let me look, Brew is October 28th, Brooks is October 21st.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: So they're literally 28, Brew will be 29 a week before, bro.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, Brooks will be 29 a week before, bro.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think it's some, I think it's...
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: or really the offensive guy, because givecent is in that scheme of hard to come by, but and there's a replacement in inverted commas with Rodriguez potentially there, but I think they'll try and do both them, frankly.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it was just, well, I think we'll just say to one of them, look, we don't want to be afraid, but we can't afford to pay you at the moment, but you know that when the new financial year comes, we're in a much better cap situation, we will make it right, and you just got to play on there, you know, you got to play on there on your final year if you contract.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we'll be fine with it.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, now Jeff Hathley was very revealing and will go out on this was very revealing in one of his interviews, especially with with Richard Sherman, where he was talking about snaps are very very important for young guys that he has to get them these snaps and he has to play them enough so they could learn the scheme and they could implement the scheme they could make the scheme essentially second nature
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, that's a shot across the bottom, Zaxilor or not.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: But I came away thinking from all of these interviews that these guys have done.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: The Zaxilors days are absolutely numbered here.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way he makes it through the season, right?
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: In terms of what I can get traded or something.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he's getting traded.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think he, I don't think he starts again this year.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think he gets traded in trend camp.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: You agree?
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think he'll start.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're going to have to start at end because I just think they need a bigger end and they just need somebody who can play there quite frankly.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_01]: You can't start Chuck Robinson on early downs, it's just not that sort of player.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I'd be surprised if they traded in frankly, but I wouldn't be surprised if something happens in a years time, but I'd be pretty shocked if he got traded beforehand.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you had a very good comment together.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_02]: They were at that F1, and it was half Lee.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: Who's standing next to Sealer, Paul?
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: And who else was it?
- 45:54[SPEAKER_02]: And Brewer was it?
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: Brewer, yeah.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_02]: And Chop.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_02]: And Chop was out to the left, like kind of separated from the group.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: And what was your comment?
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Chop is so close.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, again, but not quite.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if I were one of the video where Malik will have said, let me drive and I was like, oh, dude, I just saw you for a hit.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you letting you drive is the best idea.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, now that was, what was that about?
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: How was an NFL quarterback?
- 46:21[SPEAKER_02]: Look, we know he's accurate, okay?
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like this is not, like, yeah, it was an awful pitch.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: We know he's accurate.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: We've seen him throw the ball deep well and we've seen him be y'all in time with the football.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: That might have been the worst first pitch in the history of first pitch.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: My heart was at a pretty bad one as well to be fair.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, it's the great one.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: But the league was almost cool to kid in the fourth row.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: I know, I didn't know what happened.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: And he threw it so hard, he threw it like 85 miles an hour up there and almost killed somebody in the stands.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's so cool.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to go right here.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_02]: We will be back with you right after the fourth of July.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: So enjoy your summer.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: We will.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: What are you going to be doing with this time off?
- 47:03[SPEAKER_02]: Simon.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: Working.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like every day.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: Working.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, are you going to provide anything on the low road low red zones?
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've got a really nice story with the former dolphins caught back coming up in when I can go the dry it probably start working at the weekend.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_01]: I won't say what's caught back it is, but and then I've got some nice interviews lined up with some
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: really fascinating guys in the next graph cycle so yeah there's there'll be some nice stuff and I'll probably put some draft prospect stuff for 2027 up there pretty soon so yeah there'll be stuff ticking over
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so anyway, I will I'll be back with you on only fence Q and A.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's the show that we do on our on our discord discord.gg forward slash only fence.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be with you every week on that, but we will be reconstituted right after the fourth of July.
