- 0:09Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Inside the Data. On Inside
- 0:12Speaker 1: the Birds, I'm Jeff Mosher, and of course we have
- 0:15Speaker 1: our data and analytics expert with us, Sam Finkel the Eagles.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Sam are knee deep in training camp.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Preseason starting to come around now, and we wanted to
- 0:27Speaker 1: obviously try to find a different angle, something that we
- 0:30Speaker 1: haven't done yet before, something a little bit preseason ish
- 0:33Speaker 1: and roster centric. But I left this one to you
- 0:39Speaker 1: to come up with the idea for this show, and
- 0:42Speaker 1: so I'd like you to just start out by saying,
- 0:44Speaker 1: what is the show going to be out and what
- 0:46Speaker 1: questions did you have that you sought to answer in
- 0:49Speaker 1: doing it.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Yeah, So I've kind of done a story similar to
- 0:54Speaker 3: this in the twenty twenty five and twenty twenty four season,
- 0:57Speaker 3: So it was really just kind of replicating that analysis
- 1:00Speaker 3: and seeing kind of where we were. But I changed
- 1:02Speaker 3: a couple of things too. I just wanted to look
- 1:05Speaker 3: at the roster composition from a different couple few different standpoints,
- 1:09Speaker 3: So looked at it from by position group, which is
- 1:11Speaker 3: what I've done before. I did it by age, which
- 1:13Speaker 3: I did before, I did it by draft capital, which
- 1:16Speaker 3: I've done before.
- 1:17Speaker 4: The one thing I changed this year.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I added by original team because I just thought it'd
- 1:21Speaker 3: be fun to see how, you know, the team's composed.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And I also added by you know, cap spend and
- 1:29Speaker 3: how much they're spending per player, per you know, offense, defense,
- 1:33Speaker 3: special teams. Right, I added a little bit more flair
- 1:36Speaker 3: in there, but it's that's pretty much the standard analysis
- 1:39Speaker 3: that I've done the past two years on it.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Sure, So we look at the roster, we look at
- 1:42Speaker 1: some things like age could be a fact, and we
- 1:44Speaker 1: look at how many numbers of guys they have. This
- 1:47Speaker 1: is the time of the season when the roster is
- 1:51Speaker 1: at its largest. I believe it is at eighty nine
- 1:54Speaker 1: or ninety I forget whether the exemption.
- 1:56Speaker 3: They're officially at ninety two, which I know is over.
- 1:59Speaker 3: But that's also including you know, guys on the certain lists.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Right exemptions and things like that. So yeah, so all right,
- 2:07Speaker 1: so we look at that, and then I like that
- 2:09Speaker 1: we also look at I get a little just a
- 2:11Speaker 1: bird's eye view, no pun intended, on how expensive they
- 2:14Speaker 1: are at certain positions compared to others. And before I
- 2:18Speaker 1: bring up the charts, what was is there anything that
- 2:21Speaker 1: kind of struck you as WHOA I didn't realize that
- 2:23Speaker 1: or anything jump out to you.
- 2:25Speaker 3: You know, they are slightly older of a team than
- 2:29Speaker 3: they were the last two years, which shouldn't be terribly surprising,
- 2:33Speaker 3: but it kind of felt a little bit surprising just
- 2:36Speaker 3: with some of the departures. I thought that the team
- 2:38Speaker 3: got a little bit younger, but then you look at
- 2:41Speaker 3: you know, guys like Andy Dalton and Brandon Graham, you
- 2:44Speaker 3: can kind of see.
- 2:44Speaker 4: How it's pulled. Yeah direction, Yeah, but they got younger
- 2:48Speaker 4: at a lot of positions. So that was a little.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Bit surprising, but it's it's pretty decent explanation.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Sure, And I imagine, well, the thing is the fifty
- 2:59Speaker 1: three man, when that finally comes out, could skew it
- 3:02Speaker 1: a big way, you know, like because right now you
- 3:04Speaker 1: have some veterans who have some age. So I'm like
- 3:07Speaker 1: an aj Epanessa, not that he's that old, but he
- 3:10Speaker 1: may not make the Marquise Brown will almost surely be
- 3:13Speaker 1: on team. But you know, if they you know, this
- 3:17Speaker 1: is just for hypothetical sake, Let's say they're so impressed
- 3:20Speaker 1: with Johnny Wilson and Darius Cooper and you know, mckaye
- 3:23Speaker 1: Limman makes it back that they trade Hollywood Brown if
- 3:26Speaker 1: somebody needs a wide receiver.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Right, that's an example.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Of how the team could get younger when the fifty
- 3:31Speaker 1: three man comes out and trying to think, you know,
- 3:33Speaker 1: Grenard wasn't a spring chicken when they added him. They also,
- 3:36Speaker 1: of course, they have Lane Johnson. The Brandon Graham thing,
- 3:40Speaker 1: the fact that he's not on the roster if he was.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Imagine how much older the average age would be, because
- 3:46Speaker 1: that that would really skew it. But you know, there's
- 3:48Speaker 1: no more Darius Slay, pretty young in the secondary, pretty
- 3:51Speaker 1: young at linebacker. But they do have some old guys,
- 3:54Speaker 1: older guys, I should say.
- 3:55Speaker 2: In the trenches.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Absolutely, really, Andy Dalton is the main one that just yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 4: it's a skewer thirty eight.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So right, so I just kind of like having Brandon
- 4:05Speaker 1: Graham and again, you know age, Yeah, they've got to
- 4:08Speaker 1: figure out this four quarterback thing. I mean, it's very
- 4:12Speaker 1: very possible that something happens where they don't have four
- 4:15Speaker 1: quarterbacks on their fifty three and that if it's Andy
- 4:18Speaker 1: Dilton's not the guy by some reason, then the age
- 4:21Speaker 1: gets skewed again. So good stuff on that, and let's
- 4:25Speaker 1: let's go ahead and bring up the charts and see
- 4:27Speaker 1: what you got for us in this one. I like
- 4:31Speaker 1: a good old roster construction right in the preseason show.
- 4:37Speaker 2: All right, so what did we do here?
- 4:39Speaker 3: Yeah, so let's just focus actually, let's focus on the
- 4:42Speaker 3: one the right just for right now. That's just a
- 4:45Speaker 3: breakdown of the offense, defense, the special teams. Of the
- 4:48Speaker 3: ninety two players, forty six of them are in the offense,
- 4:51Speaker 3: forty three of them are the defense, and three of
- 4:53Speaker 3: them are special teams. So, I mean, it's a pretty
- 4:56Speaker 3: clean breakdown. Fifty of the roster composition defense, forty seven
- 5:01Speaker 3: percent is defense, and three percent is special teams.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Right, probably suggest they have a few more, they'll make
- 5:08Speaker 1: a few more cuts on offense, because you're usually around
- 5:12Speaker 1: i'd say you're like around maybe one or two guys
- 5:16Speaker 1: more on defense that you keep than offense, you know,
- 5:19Speaker 1: like twenty six, twenty four offense and then three specialists.
- 5:24Speaker 3: One hundred percent agreed, So that that's kind of where
- 5:27Speaker 3: they stand for sure, But.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Also maybe theoretically a little bit of an easier position
- 5:32Speaker 1: to make the extra cuts because you have an entire
- 5:34Speaker 1: third string offensive line that's you know, most likely well
- 5:38Speaker 1: in this case, we'll see, but you have a lot
- 5:40Speaker 1: of three and fours on the old line that are
- 5:42Speaker 1: probably not going to make it. And same thing with
- 5:45Speaker 1: tight ends. I got seven tight ends in camp to
- 5:47Speaker 1: not keep it seven tight ends?
- 5:49Speaker 4: Yeah, no, for sure. And I mean you can see
- 5:51Speaker 4: it kind of when you go to the.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Graft and the left, which is the next one we
- 5:54Speaker 3: sho talk about, you can see kind of where those
- 5:57Speaker 3: roster pieces are really organized. So the most that they
- 6:01Speaker 3: have on the team is wide.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Receivers, sure, that's another one, yep.
- 6:05Speaker 4: And then safety is the next most.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Then you look and it's kind of a split between
- 6:11Speaker 3: corner an interior defensive line and edge with interior offensive
- 6:15Speaker 3: line next kind of what you were saying.
- 6:17Speaker 4: So but but I mean, what are.
- 6:19Speaker 1: The for data tracking purposes? What did you count Cooper
- 6:23Speaker 1: to gene as?
- 6:24Speaker 4: So?
- 6:24Speaker 3: I counted him as safety actually surprisingly, but that's what
- 6:29Speaker 3: he was listed on this what I was using, So
- 6:31Speaker 3: I put him as safety. It actually went back and
- 6:35Speaker 3: forth on it quite a bit, but I kept them
- 6:37Speaker 3: as safety because that's what he was listed.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Right. It is interesting to have all the ten safeties
- 6:43Speaker 1: in camp, is that?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Yep?
- 6:45Speaker 1: So Cooper, Macouba, right Epps and Michael Carter junior. I
- 6:50Speaker 1: guess you counted as a safety.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Let me get you the whole list.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I have it right with Andre Sam would be five.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm trying to see if I can name all ten,
- 6:58Speaker 1: so Sam would be five. Uh, I know they have
- 7:01Speaker 1: two defensive backs that are rookie free agents and Capena
- 7:05Speaker 1: Gou Chicken and Maximus Pulley, so that would be seven
- 7:09Speaker 1: right there?
- 7:11Speaker 2: Who am I missing?
- 7:13Speaker 4: You are missing? You said? Was Newski right?
- 7:17Speaker 1: Oh? I forgot nop Cole? Was Nuski right? It's actually.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Gray J T.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Gray? Great point.
- 7:27Speaker 4: One? More is uh Tucker large? Who's he was on?
- 7:30Speaker 4: He's on a list that is.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Such an offensive lineman name, but yes it's a safety.
- 7:35Speaker 1: His middle name is Isn't it's not a.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Big guy like that quite a bit.
- 7:41Speaker 1: So, So yeah, that's really that's an area where you
- 7:45Speaker 1: know there's gonna be a lot of trimming.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Yes, definitely, So that's that's definitely one worth acknowledging.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Awesome, And you could take the gene and and easily
- 7:57Speaker 1: put him at corner and also uh Michael Carter the
- 8:01Speaker 1: second and kind of count them toward the corner, and
- 8:03Speaker 1: then the corners would go up to closer to ten
- 8:05Speaker 1: and the safeties would come down a little bit.
- 8:07Speaker 2: But yeah, it's just inable there.
- 8:09Speaker 4: There was a decision that needed made.
- 8:11Speaker 3: It could have gone either way, right, But yeah, I
- 8:15Speaker 3: mean as at the next thing.
- 8:17Speaker 4: We can go down to the next.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Chart, which is just the roster by age, and as
- 8:22Speaker 3: you can see a lot of twenty seven year olds,
- 8:25Speaker 3: that's kind of where it really starts. And yeah, not
- 8:28Speaker 3: like I said, there's Andy Dalton at thirty eight. Like
- 8:30Speaker 3: I was saying, he's the same age as Brandon what
- 8:32Speaker 3: I was trying to say before, he's the same age
- 8:34Speaker 3: as Brandon Grahams. It would have been the same as
- 8:35Speaker 3: you know him. Yeah, which is pretty funny. Thirty six,
- 8:38Speaker 3: thirty two?
- 8:39Speaker 1: Lane? Right, thirty six?
- 8:40Speaker 4: No, well Lane is thirty six.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Yeah, Lane is thirty six, and there's one thirty two.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Year old there is.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, this should be fun.
- 8:49Speaker 1: It would have to be that. It's probably should be easy,
- 8:54Speaker 1: but I can't think of it at the moment. Is
- 8:57Speaker 1: it Jake Elliott?
- 8:58Speaker 4: It is not Jake Elliott. Jake Elliott is thirty one?
- 9:01Speaker 1: Okay, uh is it?
- 9:04Speaker 2: It's not Saquon It's not.
- 9:07Speaker 4: It's not a guy. I think you would have guessed.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Oh that's fun, that's fun.
- 9:14Speaker 4: This is the offense defense.
- 9:17Speaker 2: No, I want to try to get it.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna give myself a guess or two more and
- 9:23Speaker 1: then i'll i'll ask the clue. It can't be it
- 9:25Speaker 1: running back.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I don't think it can't.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Oh tight end thirty two? Is it?
- 9:28Speaker 4: Is it?
- 9:28Speaker 1: Johnny Munt?
- 9:29Speaker 4: Johnny Munt thirty one?
- 9:31Speaker 1: Oh so cool?
- 9:33Speaker 4: Dallas Rather is also thirty one. Oh man, So.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm right there, but it's not you meet me. It's
- 9:44Speaker 1: not that position.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Then it's not that position. I just you're just getting
- 9:47Speaker 4: guys that are right there.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Just man, it ain't any Oh now, it can't be
- 9:54Speaker 1: Marquis Brown, right.
- 9:55Speaker 4: It is not Marku's Brown.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I know somebody is listening to the show and probably
- 10:01Speaker 1: screaming it out and maybe it's obvious to them, even
- 10:04Speaker 1: though it's not obvious to me.
- 10:07Speaker 4: But I mean, listenad.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I was gonna say Brady Man would be my only
- 10:11Speaker 1: other guest, but go ahead.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Defense defense secondary.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Yeah. I figured it would be like, uh, is it Carter? Nope, No,
- 10:25Speaker 1: go ahead, just tell me. I'm done.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Jonathan Jones, of course.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Jonathan Jones. I forgot about him. He's been injured at camp,
- 10:34Speaker 1: so he's a little bit out of side, out of mine. Yes,
- 10:36Speaker 1: all right, so that's the thirty two year old, and
- 10:39Speaker 1: then we already had the thirty one year olds. Okay,
- 10:41Speaker 1: really interesting, So twenty seven is the sweet spot.
- 10:44Speaker 3: It seems like it can. Can you guess the twenty
- 10:47Speaker 3: one year old? That one should be somewhat easy for you.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I would think Makhai Lemon, but or Stours one of
- 10:52Speaker 1: those two?
- 10:53Speaker 3: Nope, Lemon is twenty two and Tours is twenty three.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Campbell Nope, Campbell's twenty two. Michael Morris, No, I should
- 11:07Speaker 3: maybe just give it to you. Think, think a guy
- 11:09Speaker 3: that's not going to play this year, but was very,
- 11:11Speaker 3: very exciting when he got drafted.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Oh so that's what I was thinking with Stours.
- 11:16Speaker 2: But oh Cole Peyton.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Defense?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Oh you said defense? Okay? Uh, Shawn Newby James No,
- 11:29Speaker 1: the most exciting an international player? All right? That gives
- 11:34Speaker 1: it away. It's or it is?
- 11:36Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Okay, all right, yep, yep, good stuff.
- 11:40Speaker 2: All right.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Interesting, So twenty seven is the sweet spot. I wonder
- 11:44Speaker 1: in the past, I feel like the Eagles, as you mentioned,
- 11:47Speaker 1: have been a little bit younger roster wise, in the
- 11:49Speaker 1: past and probably had more in the twenty four to
- 11:53Speaker 1: twenty six range.
- 11:54Speaker 2: That would probably be the sweet spot.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I have the actual averages of the
- 11:58Speaker 3: team four twenty five, which is twenty five point four
- 12:02Speaker 3: and twenty five point five respectively, and this year it's
- 12:05Speaker 3: twenty five point nine to six, which is actually a
- 12:07Speaker 3: pretty significant jump.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 12:10Speaker 3: But as you can see that, I mean, that chart
- 12:12Speaker 3: is the definition of skewed right. Like it is skewed
- 12:15Speaker 3: to the right. I mean that the older players are
- 12:19Speaker 3: certainly having an impact, and whether they're retained on the
- 12:23Speaker 3: final roster or not will determine, you know, the actual
- 12:25Speaker 3: roster age. Right, But if you look at it, I mean,
- 12:28Speaker 3: the offense is older than the defense, which makes sense,
- 12:31Speaker 3: especially when we go into the money aspect of it.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Where also well also with Lane and Andy Dalton beating
- 12:37Speaker 1: the tool, this guy's on the team that too.
- 12:41Speaker 3: But I mean a lot of the defense are still
- 12:43Speaker 3: on their rookie contracts, which which the offense. There's a
- 12:46Speaker 3: couple on their rookie contracts, but not very many.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Right, right, good point, good point on that, good.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Point on the Andy Dalton Lane Johnson thing. That's that's nice.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I mean those guys are inflating it. And
- 12:58Speaker 1: again like if one of the I wonder what the
- 13:00Speaker 1: offensive age would be, if Andy Dalton is not on
- 13:04Speaker 1: the fifty three, it probably comes down closer to what
- 13:07Speaker 1: the defense is.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean that that's a good point. I would
- 13:10Speaker 4: agree with that.
- 13:11Speaker 1: For by the same token, I think Jonathan Jones is
- 13:16Speaker 1: somewhat skewing the defense because if he doesn't make the team,
- 13:20Speaker 1: and he should, but honestly, it has been hurt quite
- 13:24Speaker 1: a bit here and now that's going to jeopardize him.
- 13:27Speaker 1: He's one of the few guys on the in the
- 13:29Speaker 1: secondary or on the whole defense that's over the age
- 13:33Speaker 1: of thirty. Yeah, right, so he might be the only
- 13:35Speaker 1: guy in the defense over the age of thirty as
- 13:37Speaker 1: far as who plays, right, Nobody on the front in
- 13:40Speaker 1: the front six is over the age of thirty, and
- 13:44Speaker 1: the only person in the secondary that plays, you know
- 13:47Speaker 1: that's expected play would be Jones is a top backup.
- 13:51Speaker 2: So if he's not on you're talking.
- 13:53Speaker 4: About But besides.
- 13:56Speaker 1: That, Apps, that's right, right, but he may also not
- 13:58Speaker 1: start if very true. Bond might be thirty this year,
- 14:03Speaker 1: I think, right, Bert Bond.
- 14:06Speaker 4: I think, yeah, he's twenty nine right.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Now, nine right right, So really you're talking about a
- 14:12Speaker 1: lot of guys, as you mentioned, in their first contract
- 14:14Speaker 1: and in that twenty one to twenty five range.
- 14:18Speaker 2: If Jonathan Jones doesn't wind up making the team.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I just think it's a fun thing to kind
- 14:23Speaker 3: of analyze for a minute.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, absolutely, And also it shows you that the
- 14:28Speaker 1: Eagles will have to and they already started this transition
- 14:31Speaker 1: right because they're starting to pay their defensive guys and
- 14:33Speaker 1: they're starting to turnover offense a little bit, certainly with
- 14:37Speaker 1: trading AJ Brown, and we'll see what happens with Lane
- 14:40Speaker 1: Johnson here has said that he's very very likely.
- 14:43Speaker 2: To retire at the end of this year.
- 14:45Speaker 1: They're going to have to start to get younger, even
- 14:49Speaker 1: more so on offense going forward. I mean, Barkley's Barkley
- 14:53Speaker 1: my lotta. I mean, Dickerson's not old in age, but
- 14:56Speaker 1: he's old in like just his body. So that's probably
- 15:00Speaker 1: the area that's going to start to by next draft
- 15:03Speaker 1: and next year going forward, get younger.
- 15:06Speaker 3: One hundred percent agreed with you that that's definitely seems
- 15:08Speaker 3: to be part of their strategy.
- 15:10Speaker 4: Before we move on to the next.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Is there any other position groups specifically that you're curious
- 15:15Speaker 3: about their age on, like just you know where they
- 15:18Speaker 3: kind of stack up.
- 15:22Speaker 1: How about offensive line, like interior interior. Yeah, so the
- 15:28Speaker 1: triggers are still young. Steen is still young.
- 15:32Speaker 4: The interior offensive line.
- 15:34Speaker 3: The average age of the interior offensive line is not
- 15:39Speaker 3: giving it to me right now, but either way, there's
- 15:41Speaker 3: no one older than twenty eight mm hmm.
- 15:44Speaker 4: And that's uh, that's Michael Jordan, right.
- 15:49Speaker 1: And yet with all their injuries right and the turn
- 15:52Speaker 1: I mean, Tyler Stein is going to be a free agent.
- 15:53Speaker 1: We don't know if he'll be back. Pretty interesting there. Yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 1: these are the wear and tear at that position.
- 15:59Speaker 4: It really is.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I mean, you have twenty seven, twenty six, twenty six,
- 16:03Speaker 3: twenty eight, twenty four, twenty two, twenty four to twenty four,
- 16:05Speaker 3: so the average will probably be somewhere around twenty five mm.
- 16:09Speaker 4: So they have team averages.
- 16:12Speaker 1: They have about six six, six or seven guys who
- 16:15Speaker 1: are twenty two right at twenty.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Two at twenty two, just in general, not just the
- 16:21Speaker 3: you're talking about.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Yeah, this year on the graph says they have about
- 16:25Speaker 1: I think that's the six guys that are twenty two.
- 16:28Speaker 4: I think that's right.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I would imagine most of those guys are on defense.
- 16:33Speaker 4: One two two are on defense.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Oh that's it. Yeah, h interesting, So I imagine the
- 16:41Speaker 1: then we're talking about a lot of rookies or first
- 16:43Speaker 1: and second year players.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Then on offense.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Then correct, the Lemons, the stours, things like that.
- 16:49Speaker 3: So it's of the twenty two, it's John Campbell, Mackay Lemon,
- 16:53Speaker 3: Mark hel Bell, Michael Morris, Cameron Williams, and.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Josh Wiru Josh Warerux. Interesting, those are the twenty two
- 17:01Speaker 4: year olds.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Awesome, good stuff.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Yep, all right, what else are we going to look
- 17:06Speaker 1: at here? Next thing my draft capital.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Yeah, draft capital is what we're looking at, and as
- 17:13Speaker 3: you can see, pretty consistent across the board, more of
- 17:19Speaker 3: the sixth and undrafted players. But also you have to
- 17:22Speaker 3: recognize again this is the where the roster is the largest,
- 17:25Speaker 3: and this will be you know, cut significantly, but it's
- 17:28Speaker 3: a pretty balanced rosster construction. If I remember the one
- 17:32Speaker 3: that I did last year was the year before it
- 17:35Speaker 3: was it was very different. The draft capital was much
- 17:41Speaker 3: more you know in the middle. I think, yeah, if
- 17:43Speaker 3: I remember correct, the third round was the most prevalent
- 17:46Speaker 3: in twenty four so it's kind of interesting how it
- 17:49Speaker 3: spread out a little bit more evenly across pretty much
- 17:53Speaker 3: all the rounds.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Right. I think the fifth round is interesting because you
- 17:58Speaker 1: have a bunch of names there that are probably fighting
- 18:01Speaker 1: to make the roster, and if they don't, one of
- 18:04Speaker 1: the other bars goes up based on who winds up
- 18:07Speaker 1: making it over them. Correct, like absolutely so, I don't
- 18:10Speaker 1: have it on the top of my head, but I
- 18:12Speaker 1: know fifth rounders would include mac McWilliams, right.
- 18:17Speaker 5: I believe, yes, yes, smile, smile Mountain a fourth or fifth, Yeah, smile,
- 18:24Speaker 5: Trotter yep, Okay, we know Trotter is making it.
- 18:27Speaker 4: We know.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure Mondon's gonna make it for special teams.
- 18:31Speaker 1: McWilliams is starting to pick it up a little bit,
- 18:33Speaker 1: so that's good for him. But if let's say he
- 18:35Speaker 1: doesn't make it, then that opens up the door for
- 18:37Speaker 1: maybe one of those undrafted free agents to make it
- 18:40Speaker 1: as a as a last defensive back. I'm trying to think,
- 18:43Speaker 1: who else there's a there's an offensive lineman who's a
- 18:45Speaker 1: fifth round pick? Is there not?
- 18:46Speaker 4: There? Ish Drew Kendall.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Drew Kendall, He's making it. So, look, I think that
- 18:51Speaker 1: fifth round that bar is going to stay pretty steady
- 18:54Speaker 1: where it's at.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yeah, well i'll tell you the rest of them. You
- 18:56Speaker 3: have Cole Peyton mm hmm. You have do Tavian.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Wicks, great one, Wow, Michael Carter, Sean Wade mm hmm,
- 19:06Speaker 4: Reek Woollan, and Jake Elliott.
- 19:09Speaker 1: That's really interesting. I would say at least sixty to
- 19:12Speaker 1: seventy percent of those guys are going to be on
- 19:14Speaker 1: the fifty three. I think so too, And that means
- 19:17Speaker 1: you're gonna have about as many fifth round picks on
- 19:19Speaker 1: your on the roster and probably active on game day,
- 19:22Speaker 1: like Cole Payton won't be, but most of those guys
- 19:25Speaker 1: you mentioned who make it will be maybe as many
- 19:28Speaker 1: as your third round picks, which which is good as
- 19:30Speaker 1: long as you have a lot of third round picks
- 19:31Speaker 1: that are also playing, which they which they do.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Very much so.
- 19:35Speaker 3: But I just think it's an interesting way to kind
- 19:36Speaker 3: of look at the roster for sure. Yeah, but yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 3: if you look at the undrafted guys, not a lot
- 19:43Speaker 3: are going to be making the team.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I think that the undrafted guys with the best shot
- 19:51Speaker 1: are well, I think Darius Cooper's gonna make it at
- 19:53Speaker 1: this point, right, yeah, true, at this point if they
- 19:56Speaker 1: had to play a game, if they were playing that
- 19:58Speaker 1: season opener against the Commander this weekend, He's your number
- 20:01Speaker 1: two wide receiver, yep, he is. It's it's him and
- 20:05Speaker 1: DeVante Smith. And then they'll mix a match with Wix
- 20:08Speaker 1: and we'll see what happens with some other guys.
- 20:10Speaker 2: But undrafted, definitely Cooper.
- 20:14Speaker 1: They got these two defensive backs Sam you know, Maximus
- 20:17Speaker 1: Polly and Capena Gushikin, who are playing well. I just
- 20:21Speaker 1: don't know if they're gonna make it onto the I
- 20:23Speaker 1: have a feeling one of them might make.
- 20:24Speaker 3: It on there, but there's a bunch of other guys
- 20:28Speaker 3: that probably won't. I mean, you look at it. You
- 20:31Speaker 3: have Weiru on their you know, Blay Lost Wilson, Carson Steele, Gushikin,
- 20:38Speaker 3: who you just talk about Terrus, we talked about Jackson.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Willie. Lampkin's an interesting one.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Interesting one. Lampkin's definitely in the mix. You know, I
- 20:48Speaker 1: can't wait to see I'm sure you'll feel the same
- 20:49Speaker 1: way very much this guy play in the preseason because
- 20:53Speaker 1: I can't you know, you can't put too much in
- 20:55Speaker 1: one on one you know, drills. You can only evaluate
- 20:59Speaker 1: so much from our standpoint in practice. And it's not
- 21:03Speaker 1: like you know, when you watch practice, it's like they're
- 21:05Speaker 1: on and off the field after five or six snaps.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Sometimes it's not like a game.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I mean, you have Fred Johnson in this category too.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I'm just looking at some of the other ones. Yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 3: and then you have Jonathan Jones if he makes it,
- 21:19Speaker 3: he was undrafted too, That's right. I mean some some
- 21:22Speaker 3: of the other guys we've talked about, but are just
- 21:23Speaker 3: you know, I just wanted to talk about the highlight guys.
- 21:26Speaker 4: But yeah, it should be really interesting.
- 21:28Speaker 1: All right, next draft by original team.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I love this. What gave you this idea?
- 21:34Speaker 4: It was just one of the things that was tracked
- 21:36Speaker 4: and I just thought it'd be fun to throw in there.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Like it's a little bit different. I think it shows
- 21:40Speaker 4: a couple of things.
- 21:41Speaker 3: One, it shows, you know, how the Eagles draft and
- 21:44Speaker 3: you know, retain the people that they signed, whether they
- 21:47Speaker 3: were drafted or undrafted and kind of it. I think
- 21:51Speaker 3: it's interesting because it shows you know, maybe where other players,
- 21:54Speaker 3: like there's clusters of other players come from. I was
- 21:56Speaker 3: expecting to see Green Bay a little bit higher, but
- 21:59Speaker 3: maybe that'll be next year it'll be even higher, So
- 22:01Speaker 3: it'll be interesting.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Well, there's one thing I knew just by looking at
- 22:06Speaker 1: the title and knowing this. I wrote a story about
- 22:09Speaker 1: this for Philly Voice, and Adam and I talk about
- 22:10Speaker 1: it all the time on the podcast. They have some
- 22:12Speaker 1: obsession with former forty nine ers. Yes, and as you
- 22:16Speaker 1: can see, that's that's a big play. That's about a
- 22:17Speaker 1: four that's four three percent. That's got to be the
- 22:19Speaker 1: biggest one, right of all the other things.
- 22:21Speaker 4: The Jets I think are tied for it, But those
- 22:23Speaker 4: are the two biggest ones.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Right, And the Jets you can understand because of because
- 22:27Speaker 1: of the Joe Douglas connection. And then they brought a
- 22:30Speaker 1: couple in here, you know, like Elijah Moore's well that's
- 22:34Speaker 1: not his original yeah, Elijah Moore, he was originally a Jet, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:38Speaker 1: But if you look at this doesn't count. Also the
- 22:42Speaker 1: forty nine ers who have been on the team in
- 22:46Speaker 1: the last few years and we're no longer here, like
- 22:48Speaker 1: Trey Sermon and Nick Mullins and tyree On Davis Price.
- 22:53Speaker 1: But right now, I mean, you've got Taric Castro Fields,
- 22:57Speaker 1: you have Ambry Thomas. You've got, uh, there's another guy
- 23:02Speaker 1: I'm not thinking of. You got four or five guys
- 23:04Speaker 1: who have been with the forty nine ers that are
- 23:06Speaker 1: oh Cam Latu former four and Danny Gray, and some
- 23:10Speaker 1: of those guys are like third round picks.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Man, it is very interesting looking at the San fran guys.
- 23:17Speaker 4: You name them all. So you did a get great
- 23:20Speaker 4: one on that one. For sure.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I think I'm even honestly, I think I'm missing I
- 23:24Speaker 1: remember remember a couple of years ago they brought in
- 23:26Speaker 1: Tekuaski Tart.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Yes, I mean yes, I.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Know how I feel when I wake up in the morning.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I have so many things on my mind.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I can't get any of this done until I have

- 27:39Speaker 4: And it's exactly what you said.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I mean, three of the four forty nine Ers players
- 27:43Speaker 3: that are currently on the roster were third round players.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Crazy they really gave up on to recastro Field to
- 27:50Speaker 3: the sixth rounder.
- 27:51Speaker 4: But besides that, the other three are third round picks.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I tell you what, man, the Raiders giving up on
- 27:56Speaker 1: Byron Young after one year just because it was a
- 27:59Speaker 1: new regime. I mean, he's been He's developing into a
- 28:02Speaker 1: really good depth defensive tackle for the Eagles. And I
- 28:06Speaker 1: don't know. I mean, I get when you're a new
- 28:07Speaker 1: regime you want your own guys in and but this
- 28:09Speaker 1: guy was a third round pick out of Alabama and
- 28:12Speaker 1: you only give him a year Like that's that's kind
- 28:14Speaker 1: of malpractice if you ask me.
- 28:16Speaker 4: But well, do you believe in the conspiracy that they
- 28:18Speaker 4: selected the wrong Byron Jones?
- 28:22Speaker 1: You know what, it's the Raiders. I could believe that, yes.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Because at that's the case.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I mean, I understand why they'd want to separate themselves
- 28:28Speaker 3: from it to some extent.
- 28:29Speaker 4: From that, I mean, but.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Nonetheless, you've got a third round pick from Alabama. It's
- 28:33Speaker 1: not like when they picked him it was the biggest like,
- 28:37Speaker 1: oh my god, I can't be asibly picked that guy there,
- 28:39Speaker 1: you know, Uh, he's he's went to Alabama who was
- 28:42Speaker 1: a starting defensive player.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Those guys usually pretty good. Could have given him some time,
- 28:46Speaker 2: you know.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Yeah, And and I mean there is probably a general
- 28:50Speaker 3: problem in the NFL right now, in development and just
- 28:52Speaker 3: in general they I mean that is I don't know,
- 28:56Speaker 3: it's it's a theoretical issue that they've seen across positions.
- 29:00Speaker 3: More pro ready guys tend to, you know, be the
- 29:03Speaker 3: ones that play and consistently play, and development is like
- 29:08Speaker 3: that you should do that the level before.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. Okay, Cash Bend, what did you For
- 29:16Speaker 1: those who are cannot watch this on YouTube and see
- 29:18Speaker 1: the charts and grafts, give them a little outline of
- 29:21Speaker 1: what we're looking at.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I think first I just got to explain a
- 29:24Speaker 3: little bit about how cap is calculated right now, So
- 29:29Speaker 3: usually cap salary cap is calculated by the players that
- 29:33Speaker 3: are contracted to you and the dead money that you owe.
- 29:37Speaker 4: But this time of the year is a little bit weird.
- 29:39Speaker 4: It's only the top fifty one contracts plus the rookie
- 29:43Speaker 4: pool that's calculated, so any calculation, and all these are
- 29:47Speaker 4: from over the cap, just so you know, all the
- 29:49Speaker 4: numbers are from over the cap, but just so we're
- 29:52Speaker 4: clear on it, it has to do predominantly with the
- 29:56Speaker 4: top fifty one contracts, so it's going to be a
- 29:59Speaker 4: little bit different than what is actually the actual salary cap.
- 30:04Speaker 4: So just bear with that part.
- 30:05Speaker 3: It's an estimation, but it's done by the salary cap
- 30:08Speaker 3: rules of the NFL sets, So put that out of
- 30:11Speaker 3: the way before we go into the next part. What's
- 30:15Speaker 3: interesting is that the offense is basically double the defense
- 30:20Speaker 3: and spend. You know, there's one sixty five million spent
- 30:24Speaker 3: on offense, around eighty seven million on defense, and seven
- 30:28Speaker 3: point two million on special teams.
- 30:30Speaker 1: And that's even after big extensions for Jordan Davis and
- 30:33Speaker 1: Jayleen Carter this offseason.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Yeah, for Jonathan Grenard.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, So it is very interesting to see kind
- 30:40Speaker 3: of how it's spent, and then when you divide that
- 30:43Speaker 3: by the number of players, Remember there were forty six
- 30:45Speaker 3: players on offense, forty three on defense, and three on
- 30:49Speaker 3: special teams. You get the cash spend per player. On offense,
- 30:53Speaker 3: they're spending around three point six million per player, on defense,
- 30:56Speaker 3: they're spending about two million a player, and on special
- 30:59Speaker 3: teams are spent about two point four million per player.
- 31:02Speaker 1: We absolutely have to do the show next year and
- 31:04Speaker 1: the year after two, and then see how that number
- 31:07Speaker 1: flips from offense to defense once guys like Mitchell and
- 31:11Speaker 1: Cooper de Gen and Jaelex Hunt start to get paid,
- 31:13Speaker 1: and then you know, Saquon may not be on the
- 31:16Speaker 1: and Lane Johnson won't be on the road. We'll see,
- 31:18Speaker 1: we'll see that number turn really quickly.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it'll at least even out a little bit more,
- 31:22Speaker 3: but it eventually will be the way the team is
- 31:26Speaker 3: built now. It'll be defense heavy and then hopefully balance
- 31:29Speaker 3: out again.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Right. I mean, just for an example, if Mark kel
- 31:32Speaker 1: Bell is your starting right tackle in two thousand and
- 31:35Speaker 1: twenty seven, no, yeah, twenty seven next year and Lane
- 31:38Speaker 1: Johnson's not, you're talking about a guy on a third
- 31:40Speaker 1: round contract, which is several hundred thousand of a year
- 31:45Speaker 1: two right versus twenty six million.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Whatever Lane's been making.
- 31:50Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's quite as it's it's staggering the difference, Yes, yes,
- 31:55Speaker 1: very much so.
- 31:56Speaker 2: And then reverse that.
- 31:58Speaker 1: You know, right now the third round contract in year
- 32:01Speaker 1: three is is Jailak's hunt versus what he might make
- 32:04Speaker 1: if he gets a huge extension. So it should be
- 32:07Speaker 1: really interesting.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it should be really interesting, and we definitely have
- 32:09Speaker 3: to continue this analysis long term, get some good data
- 32:13Speaker 3: behind it, right And then I just kind of went
- 32:16Speaker 3: through and talked about what their cap liabilities and their
- 32:19Speaker 3: cap space are, just because I think it's a good
- 32:21Speaker 3: time just to kind.
- 32:21Speaker 4: Of remind everyone where the Eagles are, whether they're healthy right.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Now, you know, just kind of a good way to
- 32:27Speaker 3: do it, and you know, I like to explain it
- 32:29Speaker 3: at the process. So just the active cap spending, and
- 32:32Speaker 3: again this is the top fifty one number. It's it's
- 32:34Speaker 3: not all the contracts. Is the top fifty one plus
- 32:37Speaker 3: the rookie pool. And that's the two hundred and nineteen
- 32:40Speaker 3: million plus the seventy three million they have in dead money.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Their total cap liabilities are around two ninety two two
- 32:47Speaker 3: ninety three million, its call it. And the salary cap
- 32:50Speaker 3: for this year is three hundred and one point two million,
- 32:54Speaker 3: But there are certain ways, you know, the cap carryover.
- 32:57Speaker 3: There's certain credits that you go whether like a bonus
- 33:01Speaker 3: was paid, There's certain ways that the cap goes up
- 33:03Speaker 3: or down depending on each team. So the Eagles adjusted
- 33:07Speaker 3: salary cap is around three hundred and sixteen million, and
- 33:10Speaker 3: so you take that three hundred and sixteen million and
- 33:12Speaker 3: distracted by that two ninety three million and you get
- 33:15Speaker 3: around twenty three million effective cap space. So that's how
- 33:17Speaker 3: much they can work with. But again that those numbers
- 33:20Speaker 3: are subject to change as the roster condenses to that
- 33:23Speaker 3: fifty three man right.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Now, it's not going to change like from twenty three
- 33:26Speaker 1: million in cap space to like two It's going to
- 33:28Speaker 1: be in that neighborhood. And some people are gonna say, well,
- 33:31Speaker 1: what are you doing with twenty three million in cap space?
- 33:34Speaker 1: You could give extensions to more player? Well actually at
- 33:37Speaker 1: this point probably not, but uh maybe Moro Jomo. People
- 33:40Speaker 1: are gonna say, hey, you got plenty of money to
- 33:42Speaker 1: extend to Jomo, you should, But the Eagles use as
- 33:45Speaker 1: you're saying, with the as you explained, with the adjusted
- 33:49Speaker 1: salary cap, this money rolls over, right, if you take
- 33:52Speaker 1: this money into next year, then you get twenty three
- 33:54Speaker 1: million additional dollars in cap to use for when you
- 33:57Speaker 1: want to start paying people next year. And that's when
- 34:00Speaker 1: those extensions we mentioned for Mitchell and Dejene and Hunt
- 34:04Speaker 1: and maybe some other people are going to come in
- 34:05Speaker 1: play into play exactly.
- 34:07Speaker 3: And it's a pretty complicated, you know, analysis of what
- 34:10Speaker 3: goes over. There's a lot of different moving parts, but
- 34:12Speaker 3: just know that some money goes over, some of it
- 34:15Speaker 3: gets held back, depending on a bunch of different factors.
- 34:18Speaker 3: But that's kind of a good snapshot of where they
- 34:21Speaker 3: stand right now.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I think the number we could all chuckle at, and
- 34:24Speaker 1: if you're a huge Eagles fan, you can thank Jeffrey
- 34:27Speaker 1: Louriy for this is this is the near seventy four
- 34:29Speaker 1: million dollars that they're paying players to not play for
- 34:32Speaker 1: them this year. Which listen, they know what this is.
- 34:36Speaker 1: This is the price you pay, literally for the way
- 34:39Speaker 1: you structure your deals, and it is served the Eagles
- 34:42Speaker 1: very well. And I don't think they make any apologies
- 34:45Speaker 1: and I don't think Jeffrey Loriy loses any sleep about
- 34:47Speaker 1: seventy three million in dead money.
- 34:49Speaker 4: Let me ask you this, who where do you think
- 34:51Speaker 4: the Eagles rank in dead money?
- 34:52Speaker 1: If you had to guess, they're usually among the leaders,
- 34:56Speaker 1: but I doubt that they are number one.
- 34:58Speaker 2: I would think the Dolphins are close to number one.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Dolphins are number one.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean whatever they're taking on too.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Sorry to interrupt you, but no, that that's.
- 35:08Speaker 1: That's I deserve to be interrupted. That's a lot. One
- 35:10Speaker 1: hundred and seventy nine million, I mean, and how much
- 35:13Speaker 1: what percent of that is? Two is contract's Probably it's
- 35:15Speaker 1: a lot of it, Yeah, a lot of it. Yeah,
- 35:18Speaker 1: that's crazy. They're probably still paying money off to from
- 35:20Speaker 1: the Christian wilkens Uh disaster that they had, So I
- 35:24Speaker 1: don't know, they're man. You know, it's funny because like
- 35:28Speaker 1: when the Eagles traded Carson Wins and took that huge
- 35:32Speaker 1: cab hit. I don't want to say it started a
- 35:34Speaker 1: trend because I think there were some other teams that
- 35:36Speaker 1: have done that before, but that that was the latest
- 35:38Speaker 1: that became the biggest cap hit in NFL history, And
- 35:41Speaker 1: ever since then, it seems like every year some team
- 35:46Speaker 1: makes a move that makes it the biggest dead cap
- 35:49Speaker 1: cut or you know, dead cap cap hit in the
- 35:53Speaker 1: history of the NFL, and the Dolphins just basically took
- 35:56Speaker 1: all of that and pushed the tips on the table
- 35:58Speaker 1: and said, hold on our land shark, right, hold our
- 36:03Speaker 1: land shark longer because we're about to like redefine what
- 36:06Speaker 1: do you all think about dead cap? And then probably.
- 36:09Speaker 2: By this time, I don't know, maybe next year.
- 36:11Speaker 1: This might take a couple of years sam for someone
- 36:13Speaker 1: to beat the Dolphins on the single biggest cap hit,
- 36:16Speaker 1: but it'll happen. Hey, Philly fans game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
- 36:21Speaker 1: long lines, We've all been there, But when it comes

- 37:12Speaker 1: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans twenty
- 37:15Speaker 1: one and up.
- 37:16Speaker 4: It'll happen.
- 37:17Speaker 3: I mean as salaries keep going up too, Like, that's
- 37:19Speaker 3: another part of it. As salaries keep going up there,
- 37:21Speaker 3: there's more of an opportunity for this. Doesn't mean teams
- 37:23Speaker 3: are gonna take it like, that's another part of it, right,
- 37:26Speaker 3: Just so you know, the Eagles are fifth in dead cap.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I was gonna actually guess somewhere in the five to
- 37:32Speaker 1: ten range. So they used to be the leaders, but
- 37:34Speaker 1: now other teams are starting to catch up to them.
- 37:37Speaker 3: You would not be surprised by the top four, by
- 37:40Speaker 3: the way, or would not, would not.
- 37:42Speaker 4: It's your typical offenders.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Cowboys up there.
- 37:46Speaker 4: Cowboys are not The Cowboys actually are way further down.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Saints.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Saints are up there.
- 37:53Speaker 3: That's that's one you definitely would expect.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Who else has released some big time players, is uh?
- 38:01Speaker 1: And this is dead cap right?
- 38:02Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 38:02Speaker 1: Usually a quarterback out of the Falcons, right, are they
- 38:04Speaker 1: still on the hook for Kirk Cousins.
- 38:06Speaker 4: No, they're doing all right. They're they're ten all right.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Trying to think we're some big quarterbacks.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Two bad teams.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Just you just think that, oh the Jets, the Jets
- 38:16Speaker 1: might yeah.
- 38:17Speaker 4: And one other team that's really oh yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 1: The Jets because for Quinnon, Williams and and Sauce Gardener
- 38:22Speaker 1: when they made all the trade, they took a ton
- 38:24Speaker 1: of cap hit.
- 38:26Speaker 2: And not the Titans. I can't imagine the Titans.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Not the Titans.
- 38:32Speaker 1: No good enough to be able to take dead cap
- 38:35Speaker 1: hits enough.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Uh, we said the Dolphins.
- 38:38Speaker 4: You're gonna be kicking yourself once I tell you if
- 38:41Speaker 4: you don't get it. The Raiders, No, Raiders are eighth,
- 38:45Speaker 4: I believe.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Okay, not the Cardinals. I don't think they have there
- 38:50Speaker 2: what six? Oh they are?
- 38:52Speaker 1: Who? Who's trying to think who they have on the
- 38:55Speaker 1: books that maybe I know he's still on the team,
- 38:58Speaker 1: isn't he?
- 38:59Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 39:00Speaker 5: Uh?
- 39:00Speaker 4: And their dead money is for Kyler.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Mury Kyler Kyler of course. Yeah, yeah, all.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Right, did I get the main ones?
- 39:07Speaker 4: You did? Except for the Cleveland Browns are two?
- 39:10Speaker 1: Oh, of course the Cleveland Browns. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 39:14Speaker 4: That's what I said. You kick yourself on that one
- 39:15Speaker 4: because I.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Think, yeah, that's Miles, Garrett Deale.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Of course it's also Botonio and Conklin.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they got.
- 39:24Speaker 1: A lot of well run franchises there, Jets and Browns,
- 39:30Speaker 1: all right, good stuff. So we keep talking about it
- 39:33Speaker 1: and we'll have more information as we get closer to
- 39:35Speaker 1: the season. Obviously, Sam's going to be doing a lot
- 39:37Speaker 1: of stuff with us like you did last year throughout
