- 0:22Speaker 1: You're listening to Eagles postgame analysis here at the Philadelphia
- 0:25Speaker 1: Sports Table podcast show. Blah blah blah blah blah. You're
- 0:29Speaker 1: on YouTube. You see Eric with double thumbs down. It's
- 0:32Speaker 1: not double rainbows, folks, double thumbs down. It sucks in
- 0:38Speaker 1: the world of Philly sports. Right now, the Philadelphia Eagles
- 0:41Speaker 1: losing Week six to the New York freaking Giants up
- 0:46Speaker 1: in East Ruth for New Jersey by score of thirty
- 0:49Speaker 1: four to seventeen. I'm Jeff Warren. I'm here with my
- 0:52Speaker 1: buddy Eric better known as Boo. I'm on YouTube, here
- 0:58Speaker 1: on the screen, and I'm gonna be known as shit
- 1:00Speaker 1: turn right here as you can all see what a
- 1:04Speaker 1: fucking horrendous time in the world of Philly sports it
- 1:06Speaker 1: has been for this past week. My gosh, God, the
- 1:11Speaker 1: Eagles lose here and yeah, let me put the little
- 1:13Speaker 1: ticker on here. There we go, there we go. Eagles
- 1:16Speaker 1: lose by look, and I can't even I can't even
- 1:19Speaker 1: do that right right now. Let's take that off and
- 1:21Speaker 1: edit it because I put a period right in there between. Anyway, folks,
- 1:26Speaker 1: if you're just listening, head on over to YouTube search
- 1:29Speaker 1: us out. You can see our ugly fate while my
- 1:33Speaker 1: ugly face, Eric, Eric's a model, But uh, what a
- 1:38Speaker 1: what a what a shit storm? Here? Well, believe me,
- 1:40Speaker 1: we're gonna get into the Phillies. We're gonna get into
- 1:42Speaker 1: the Phillies. So this game, this Eagles Giants game sucked.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I didn't think it was gonna be gonna be this bad.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I thought it could be bad. We were texting with
- 1:51Speaker 1: one of our buddies today, asked, you know what percentage
- 1:54Speaker 1: chance would you give the Eagles to win? And I
- 1:56Speaker 1: was like seventy five and it was like, really, you know,
- 1:59Speaker 1: twenty five present a chance for the Giants to win.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, you know why because this team just
- 2:06Speaker 1: doesn't have it put together after six weeks of play
- 2:09Speaker 1: at this point. But first and foremost, let's go through
- 2:11Speaker 1: the injuries. Jalen Carter inactive, Landon Dickerson inactive, Quinnon Mitchell
- 2:16Speaker 1: went out in the second quarter with a hamstring injury.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Reblankenship went out in the third quarter, but he did
- 2:22Speaker 1: eventually come back in. We're getting into our themes and then,
- 2:25Speaker 1: as you know, we do our grades. But here, Eric,
- 2:28Speaker 1: why don't we do this Because I'm kidding, I'm not kidding.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm not sure if we do the grades, F for everybody,
- 2:34Speaker 1: F for every unit. I do not care. I do
- 2:38Speaker 1: not care that Dallas Goddard, it was targeted eleven times,
- 2:42Speaker 1: came down with nine balls for one hundred and ten
- 2:44Speaker 1: yards in a touchdown. I don't care that aj Brown
- 2:46Speaker 1: had eighty yards. I don't care that DeVante Smith had
- 2:48Speaker 1: forty nine yards. I don't care that the wide receivers
- 2:51Speaker 1: generally did what they were supposed to do. It's an
- 2:53Speaker 1: F for everybody. We're gonna get to the offense, defense,
- 2:56Speaker 1: special teams, the coaching, just by unit. It's an F
- 3:00Speaker 1: for everybody. I don't even want to do the grades
- 3:02Speaker 1: at the end.
- 3:04Speaker 2: There's no reason.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I mean it.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I was questionable with this game too. I was hesitant.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I definitely didn't gamble on it because I was like, yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 2: we're in New York. They blew that game against the Broncos. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:21Speaker 2: it's all f's around. Because man, A couple of thoughts
- 3:26Speaker 2: like are the Giants good? I don't know, because the
- 3:30Speaker 2: Eagles were so bad today. Yeah, so the Giants could
- 3:34Speaker 2: be legit. I'm not sure. I know they had injuries
- 3:38Speaker 2: on the defense. Landon Dickerson was out on the offensive line,
- 3:41Speaker 2: But like, what are we doing here?
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yeah? Giants. Giants had injuries too, you know what I mean?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Like that, that's reality. The Giants have injuries too. Look,
- 3:53Speaker 1: I just what was supposed to be a get right
- 3:56Speaker 1: game for this Eagles team turned out to be a
- 3:58Speaker 1: get wrong. Just one of the most embarrassing Eagles losses
- 4:02Speaker 1: in quite some time. Bad defense, bad offense, bad special teams.
- 4:07Speaker 1: There were turnovers, totally embarrassing, and just an ongoing theme
- 4:11Speaker 1: week after week is the fact that the Eagles are
- 4:13Speaker 1: having trouble running the football. Running the football what we
- 4:17Speaker 1: saw last year. Yah, Saquon Barkley had two rushes totally
- 4:21Speaker 1: thirty one yards right out of the gate, and I'm thinking,
- 4:23Speaker 1: my gosh, offensive or the rushing attack and the offensive
- 4:27Speaker 1: line really getting it together, but no offensive line couldn't
- 4:31Speaker 1: open up many gaps for him after that. Check this out, Okay,
- 4:35Speaker 1: I just want to I just want to mention this. Okay,
- 4:37Speaker 1: did some breakdown of some things with regard to this
- 4:40Speaker 1: particular second half in this game, and then I went
- 4:44Speaker 1: back over the course of the Eagles second half drives
- 4:49Speaker 1: from this week and last week as well, Eagles second
- 4:52Speaker 1: half drives three plays for four yards, then they punted
- 4:56Speaker 1: four plays for eight yards. Then they punted three plays
- 4:59Speaker 1: for eight yards, than they punted, then the Jalen Hurts interception,
- 5:03Speaker 1: then we had the fumble by aj Dillon. Offense is
- 5:07Speaker 1: just hopelessly inept at times. And don't worry, folks, We're
- 5:11Speaker 1: gonna get to the defense in a little bit. We're
- 5:14Speaker 1: gonna get there too. But over the over the past
- 5:18Speaker 1: two halves the second halves, sixteen total drives. Check this out,
- 5:24Speaker 1: sixteen total drives. There's been one fumble, one interception, three punts,
- 5:29Speaker 1: two touchdowns, nine three and outs. That's what this inept
- 5:35Speaker 1: offense has been producing. Whose fault is it? Whose fault
- 5:40Speaker 1: is it? I don't think it's anybody who's one. There's
- 5:42Speaker 1: no silver bullet with this. There's not one individual, there's
- 5:46Speaker 1: not one unit where it's the fault of somebody. We're
- 5:50Speaker 1: seeing its Jalen Hurts fault. He's missing wide open receivers.
- 5:53Speaker 1: We're seeing uh, We're seeing an offensive line that just
- 5:57Speaker 1: isn't able to open the gaps. Jordan Mylott is not
- 6:00Speaker 1: really having a great past few weeks here. To be
- 6:02Speaker 1: honest and yes, I know Brian Banks is a very
- 6:04Speaker 1: very good pass rusher, but still, Jordan Mylatta is supposed
- 6:08Speaker 1: to be Jordan Mylatta. Lane Johnson is supposed to be
- 6:10Speaker 1: Lane Johnson. They're getting bull rushed, They're getting bullied. The
- 6:14Speaker 1: defense is getting bullied too. It's just the offense. I
- 6:19Speaker 1: think it's Kevin Patulo. I think it is everybody. Everybody
- 6:24Speaker 1: is not able to get out of their own ways.
- 6:26Speaker 1: They will have some really good drives and then they
- 6:28Speaker 1: just suck it up and they shit turn it up
- 6:31Speaker 1: just like what my name is right here.
- 6:35Speaker 2: No, the offensive line is definitely not what it was
- 6:37Speaker 2: last year or the past few years. That's very obvious.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I mean, I like that Barkley had those first few
- 6:44Speaker 2: runs in the beginning, but like everything just kind of
- 6:48Speaker 2: cratered and slowed down after that first quarter.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And there's no fire. There was no fire at all
- 6:53Speaker 1: with this team. Zero.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate to like this is the worst part
- 6:58Speaker 2: about the Eagles right now is like they're boring to watch,
- 7:01Speaker 2: Like for a team that eight months ago destroyed the
- 7:05Speaker 2: Chiefs on National TV in the Super Bowl, like they're
- 7:09Speaker 2: they're just not explosive at all. And I can only watch,
- 7:14Speaker 2: so I know, I know, like the national thing is
- 7:17Speaker 2: like the touch push is so boring.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Guess what.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I'm a fan. I can't stand anymore. Like four straight
- 7:25Speaker 2: times tonight, four straight times.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I think they were making up for last week because
- 7:29Speaker 1: last week they actually didn't run it last week because
- 7:31Speaker 1: they did the fake They did the fake handoff to
- 7:34Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley that scored that touchdown. But yeah, four times
- 7:38Speaker 1: in a row today. Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 2: But the one play that really jumps out to me offensively,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and I think it's kind of a microcosm so far
- 7:49Speaker 2: of the offense is when when Jalen Hurts through that
- 7:51Speaker 2: awful interception in the third quarter or fourth fourth quarter. Now, yeah,
- 7:57Speaker 2: I watched the Phillies game for the first half, so
- 8:00Speaker 2: a loss on the quarters right now.
- 8:01Speaker 1: So good. I'm lost with everything in Philly sports right
- 8:04Speaker 1: now because that freaking game. Holy crap.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Anyway, but that but that interception was like he was
- 8:11Speaker 2: forcing it. Like I could tell he was forcing it
- 8:13Speaker 2: because the offense wasn't doing anything. It was kind of stagnant.
- 8:16Speaker 2: So he was like, I got to make a play,
- 8:18Speaker 2: and he threw a terrible interception and as he threw
- 8:21Speaker 2: it and the guy was running it back. I was
- 8:23Speaker 2: just like, that's the kind of interception that Jackson darshed
- 8:26Speaker 2: the throw against defense, Like I know the in injuries,
- 8:30Speaker 2: but like the Giants aren't I know I said earlier,
- 8:34Speaker 2: are they good?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Like they're not good?
- 8:35Speaker 2: Like I've watched him this year Like maybe with Jackson
- 8:38Speaker 2: Darth are better, but but that interception to me was
- 8:42Speaker 2: like god damn, like they're putting the offensive coordinator is
- 8:45Speaker 2: putting Hurts in in situations where he has to force plays.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's not what he's good.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Like he that's when he sucks is when he has
- 8:55Speaker 2: to like make a play when it's not there. That's
- 8:58Speaker 2: when he's got himself in trouble. That was an interception
- 9:00Speaker 2: for like a second year Hurts where you're like, what
- 9:03Speaker 2: are we doing? Like that's an awful pass and that
- 9:06Speaker 2: that that I mean that really turned the whole game
- 9:08Speaker 2: around pretty much. Yep, like look kind of in it.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But man, I.
- 9:16Speaker 2: The fact that they're boring to watch is really really
- 9:20Speaker 2: like disheartening, Like I don't like the Phillies were exciting
- 9:24Speaker 2: tonight and they lost, but like watching the Eagles is
- 9:27Speaker 2: a grind almost all year long, Like we can go
- 9:30Speaker 2: through the games now and see what the record probably
- 9:32Speaker 2: should be, right like Ram's game, the Bucks game. But
- 9:35Speaker 2: tonight was like, oh my god, this is I'm in
- 9:39Speaker 2: quicksand watching this team play offense.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know where that breakdown actually does end
- 9:44Speaker 1: up happening for us, where it's a slog where that
- 9:48Speaker 1: breakdown is actually happening. It's actually happening on second down.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Eagles have not been good on second down consistently, either
- 9:55Speaker 1: losing yardage or not gaining any on second down. So
- 9:59Speaker 1: it's a constant third and long. But here's another aspect
- 10:03Speaker 1: of it, specifically with this game, and we've seen it
- 10:05Speaker 1: in previous games as well, third down efficiency. You're talking
- 10:07Speaker 1: about these games just being boring, They're not going to
- 10:10Speaker 1: be boring if the Eagles are gonna convert on third down,
- 10:13Speaker 1: keep drives alive, right. The Eagles were one of nine
- 10:17Speaker 1: tonight on third down. New York Giants, they look pretty
- 10:21Speaker 1: exciting tonight they were eleven of sixteen on third downs
- 10:25Speaker 1: like that. That's that's where it's happening. You know, that's
- 10:29Speaker 1: really where the crux of what you're talking about being
- 10:32Speaker 1: bored watching this team, and you're absolutely correct. It is
- 10:35Speaker 1: it is a grind to watch them. That's where it's
- 10:38Speaker 1: actually happening. And then the word is slog is perfect
- 10:42Speaker 1: because that.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I can't stand when they kind of find their identity
- 10:48Speaker 2: in a game. Yeah, like Barkley was running the ball
- 10:51Speaker 2: well and they honed in on them, and they should
- 10:54Speaker 2: have like spread the offense out passing wise, and it
- 10:57Speaker 2: did for Goddard, like he scored a touchdown. He looked
- 10:59Speaker 2: great tonight, but then it just kind of it just
- 11:02Speaker 2: kind of died. Yeah, and I you can only like
- 11:06Speaker 2: one of poopool holes has to be one of the
- 11:09Speaker 2: main guys to blame at this point. Yeah, because but
- 11:13Speaker 2: at the same time, like I think it puts a
- 11:15Speaker 2: lot of pressure on Hurts to make plays and then
- 11:18Speaker 2: he fucks up like he did, and it just it
- 11:21Speaker 2: just it just turns the game on a dime.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Yep.
- 11:24Speaker 2: And like the they basically just handed the game to
- 11:26Speaker 2: the Giants. But the Giants kind of deserved it because
- 11:29Speaker 2: they played really well even with the injuries.
- 11:32Speaker 1: And I.
- 11:34Speaker 2: This is a terrible post game.
- 11:36Speaker 1: It is well they did they played what look when
- 11:39Speaker 1: they're running all over this Eagles team. I can't remember
- 11:42Speaker 1: the last time the Eagles gave up one hundred and
- 11:44Speaker 1: seventy two yards rushing. I can't remember the last time
- 11:47Speaker 1: the Eagles gave up ninety eight yards to a running back,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and a rookie running back at that, giving up five
- 11:55Speaker 1: point two yards per carry. That's what cam Skataboo had
- 12:00Speaker 1: in this game. Nineteen carries, ninety eight yards, five point
- 12:05Speaker 1: two yards per carry, and three freaking touchdowns. I cannot
- 12:09Speaker 1: remember the last time that happened. And I guess it's
- 12:11Speaker 1: a good segue for us to go over to the defense.
- 12:14Speaker 1: But let's really first, We're just gonna take a quick
- 12:17Speaker 1: break here. I'm not even gonna put up the like
- 12:19Speaker 1: and subscribe thing. Forget it, folks, I'm not even gonna
- 12:22Speaker 1: do it, not gonna do it. So we're gonna take
- 12:25Speaker 1: a break. And when we get back, we're taking a break. Yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna take a break. I gotta put the dads
- 12:28Speaker 1: in here. I gotta put the ads in here, gotta
- 12:32Speaker 1: take a break. We're gonna talk about the shitty defense
- 12:34Speaker 1: when we get back. Hold on, folks, all right, we're
- 12:38Speaker 1: back to talk about the shitty defense. Now.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Look, whenever we just advertise, please buy it.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I know I'm not even sure what it's gonna be
- 12:48Speaker 1: because the company, our host and company puts that stuff
- 12:51Speaker 1: in there for us, so no idea. Look, this is
- 12:54Speaker 1: the theme with regard to the defense. Yes they suck tonight.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Right before going to break said, I can't remember the
- 13:00Speaker 1: last time the Philadelphia Eagles defense a lot one hundred
- 13:02Speaker 1: and seventy two yards rushing. But here here's where we're at.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I think week six here, this Eagles defense, the pass
- 13:09Speaker 1: rush specifically, seemed to be reverting back to what we
- 13:12Speaker 1: saw in weeks you know, two, three and four. Last
- 13:16Speaker 1: week was one of their best weeks. But they're just
- 13:17Speaker 1: not able to get pressure on the quarterback in the
- 13:20Speaker 1: passing game, just letting them escape from the pocket. The
- 13:23Speaker 1: defensive front just cannot get home hardly any set. I
- 13:27Speaker 1: think there were two sacks in this game total three
- 13:30Speaker 1: quarterback hits. And it's not just it's not just in
- 13:35Speaker 1: this game what we're seeing here, we are not seeing
- 13:39Speaker 1: the development that needed to happen with the majority of
- 13:43Speaker 1: these players. After losing Josh Sweat, after losing Milton Williams,
- 13:47Speaker 1: Brandon Graham retiring, you lose those three from last season,
- 13:51Speaker 1: there's a lot of energy there with those guys. There's
- 13:54Speaker 1: a lot of leadership as well, because those guys were veterans.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I mean BG of course, being the veteran of that
- 14:01Speaker 1: group that's no longer here. There's no been no development
- 14:05Speaker 1: from Jylex Hunt, Moro Ojomo. We thought he was gonna
- 14:09Speaker 1: be he was gonna be a force coming in. He
- 14:13Speaker 1: hasn't been the next Milton Williams like some thought would happen.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Byron Jones hasn't been impactful Josh Oja and Patrick Johnson,
- 14:21Speaker 1: even though he had a sack tonight. Oh well, you know,
- 14:24Speaker 1: you've done absolutely nothing up until that sack with your career.
- 14:29Speaker 1: This this this, this Eagles defensive front. They have not
- 14:34Speaker 1: been developing the way that they've needed to because of
- 14:37Speaker 1: the guys that they lost. That's a huge theme in
- 14:40Speaker 1: this game that that I'm seeing, and a huge theme
- 14:43Speaker 1: for this defense in general. Eric.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Two thoughts from you just last your last comment. The
- 14:49Speaker 2: names you reeled off for like Ham and Egger, names
- 14:52Speaker 2: Patrick Johnson, like Byron Young. Yes, it's just just not right.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It's it's kind of disheartening when your top two tacklers
- 15:04Speaker 2: were top three are Reaped Link and Ship Mcooba and Jackson,
- 15:08Speaker 2: Jordia Jackson. We're on the secondary, by the way, so
- 15:11Speaker 2: the balls in the second part of the field when
- 15:15Speaker 2: the tackles are being made. Thank god for Jordan Davis.
- 15:18Speaker 2: He's probably their MVP this year. He was the only
- 15:21Speaker 2: guy that made had pressure up the middle and stopped
- 15:23Speaker 2: the run a little bit. They have absolutely no pressure
- 15:30Speaker 2: and no defensive ends right now. I mean, yes, yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 2: Dolan Smith going out is disastrous. Jehad Campbell, thank god
- 15:42Speaker 2: he played tonight. He had hit seven tackles. But they
- 15:46Speaker 2: didn't replace those guys. And we kind of played it
- 15:48Speaker 2: off in the in the preseason talk and earlier this
- 15:53Speaker 2: year we talked about like, oh, they'll they'll, they'll figure
- 15:56Speaker 2: it out, right like EVANGI will figure But no, he's not. Actually,
- 16:00Speaker 2: and tonight was a huge, huge red red alert, red
- 16:06Speaker 2: light that they have nothing at defensive vend There's there's
- 16:10Speaker 2: no pressure on the quarterback.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Jackson.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Okay, this is what Jackson Dart's second start, third, this
- 16:16Speaker 2: was his third third. Yeah, and he wasn't wasn't flustered,
- 16:21Speaker 2: wasn't bothered at all.
- 16:21Speaker 1: He looked at all. Ye he did, he did, But
- 16:24Speaker 1: this one was like is this Vic Fangio or is
- 16:28Speaker 1: this a roster that just doesn't have a lot of talent.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Some of that talent, yes, being injured, but is is
- 16:35Speaker 1: this a result of Vic Fangio's coaching or is it
- 16:39Speaker 1: just the fact that, like I mentioned, these guys not developing,
- 16:43Speaker 1: and then you have the secondary which, oh my gosh,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you lose Quinon Mitchell and you're like, holy freaking crap,
- 16:49Speaker 1: you know, like you've kiey. Ringo is horrendous, he sucks,
- 16:54Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, he's horrible, and then he gets benched,
- 16:57Speaker 1: but then he has to come right back in because
- 16:59Speaker 1: of Quinon Mitchell going out. And then we see Dori
- 17:03Speaker 1: Jackson out there as well. Hell I even saw Cooper
- 17:05Speaker 1: Dejene having to move to the outside on some plays
- 17:09Speaker 1: as well. There look to be like some confusion as
- 17:12Speaker 1: well from Ringo and a Dori Jackson from time to
- 17:16Speaker 1: time as well. It's just I hate I'm not going
- 17:19Speaker 1: to blame the injuries. I'm not going to blame the injuries,
- 17:22Speaker 1: but they're they're they're part of this equation that they're
- 17:25Speaker 1: part of the equation, the injuries of why do.
- 17:28Speaker 2: You know who gets do you know he gets an
- 17:30Speaker 2: a for for this game quineon Mitchell because as soon
- 17:34Speaker 2: as he went out, yeah, we were cooked. I mean
- 17:38Speaker 2: was it do you know? Uh no, who was it is?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Ringo had that U P I in the third or fourth.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Oh right, well yeah he had a couple. He had
- 17:48Speaker 1: a couple few, I.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Guess the fourth string wide receiver for the Giants. Like
- 17:52Speaker 2: what the fuck are we talking about? I know, yes,
- 17:54Speaker 2: I mean he full on laid the guy's arms out.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I was just like, that's a terrible play. You shouldn't
- 18:01Speaker 2: be a start in the NFL. And that's unfortunately, Like
- 18:05Speaker 2: we are very top heavy as a team. The Eagles
- 18:08Speaker 2: they had depth last year. That's definitely gone, like beyond belief.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Like the offensive line is kind of a microcosm of that, right,
- 18:18Speaker 2: Like they don't have a ton of depth, and like
- 18:22Speaker 2: for to have Ringo in that game with a terrible
- 18:25Speaker 2: PI that kind of kind of ended the game pretty
- 18:28Speaker 2: much like I heard the dude by the way, Thursday
- 18:31Speaker 2: night announcers Kirk.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Hurst and uh wow, Al Michaels is al still alive?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Al Like Al is having some problems.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Let's uh, let's get a pine box ready for that fellow.
- 18:47Speaker 2: But I'm sorry, but I'm kind of shitty tonight, like maybe.
- 18:52Speaker 1: We are salty and for good reason.
- 18:55Speaker 2: But when they were like they got to stop here,
- 18:58Speaker 2: the game's over, it's like no ship al yeah exactly,
- 19:01Speaker 2: you know, thinks Herbie, whatever the fuck your name is?
- 19:05Speaker 2: Like just that was after the Phillies lost the games.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I was I was young now screen. Yeah, my son
- 19:11Speaker 2: was like, why so mad? I'm like, don't you you're
- 19:14Speaker 2: my son?
- 19:14Speaker 1: How do you know that?
- 19:17Speaker 2: But yeah, it's just just watching that player, like, oh
- 19:19Speaker 2: my god, yeah, this is how do we go from
- 19:22Speaker 2: the super Bowl to Kylie Ringo?
- 19:25Speaker 1: Yeah not Kyle, I know. And and special teams just
- 19:36Speaker 1: is a mess too. In this game, special teams has
- 19:39Speaker 1: been okay in general, but my god, they tank. Bigsby
- 19:43Speaker 1: hasn't done a thing since being traded the Eagles. In fact,
- 19:47Speaker 1: in fact, Boblin way too many balls on kick returns.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Bobble kick return right before the half put the Eagles
- 19:53Speaker 1: in terrible field position when the Eagles could have potentially
- 19:57Speaker 1: gotten at least a field goal. They traded two draft
- 20:01Speaker 1: picks for him. Howie, that one is on you for sure.
- 20:05Speaker 1: And you know I'll say this too. Aside from the
- 20:07Speaker 1: blocked the punt block from a couple of weeks ago
- 20:10Speaker 1: for a touchdown. Sydney Brown is one of the gunners.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Hasn't done anything on this team, constantly missing tackles. He's
- 20:17Speaker 1: just he is just over play. I mean when he
- 20:21Speaker 1: is running down being a gunner, trying to get the
- 20:24Speaker 1: punt returner, just running right by him, running right by
- 20:27Speaker 1: him constantly. It's the type of crap we're seeing from
- 20:32Speaker 1: guys just not contributing. And again, the team is just flat.
- 20:36Speaker 2: We're we excited about Sidney Brown like a year or
- 20:38Speaker 2: two ago.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Yeah, a little while ago. I can't believe he's still
- 20:41Speaker 1: on the team. It really amazing.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I think I must have less gray hair. Yeah, and
- 20:46Speaker 2: I was excited for him because he sucks balls to Yes. No,
- 20:51Speaker 2: every aspect of this team is like it's like just subparts,
- 20:58Speaker 2: not mediocre, not subpar as a right right down there. Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 2: I mean, let's just talk about it. They could be
- 21:06Speaker 2: two and four so easily, Like the Cowboys game was
- 21:10Speaker 2: what three points, the Chiefs game was twenty to seventeen.
- 21:15Speaker 2: They should have lost the Rams game. They could have
- 21:17Speaker 2: easily lost the Bucks game. Like like that's just where
- 21:19Speaker 2: this team is. Like, it's pretty obvious to me, Like
- 21:23Speaker 2: four and two is kind of a gift. Yeah, at
- 21:25Speaker 2: this point, I'm kind of looking forward to the bye week.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I don't know what the hell it is, but like
- 21:30Speaker 1: a couple more games for the bye week, yeah, and
- 21:33Speaker 1: then And that's the problem with this, like this, the
- 21:36Speaker 1: schedule is hard.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Like it doesn't get any easier. Like this was
- 21:41Speaker 2: supposed to be the game, like you call it, like
- 21:43Speaker 2: the get right game. Yeah, but you said they get
- 21:45Speaker 2: wrong game, wrong game, good one shit hurt yea, but
- 21:51Speaker 2: like but man, what it was just they had to
- 21:54Speaker 2: win this game just so, like because because the schedule gets.
- 21:58Speaker 1: So much harder going forward. Yeah, it does, it does.
- 22:01Speaker 1: I don't even know where to go. We gave our
- 22:04Speaker 1: grades F to everybody. F just F to everybody, to everybody. Gosh,
- 22:10Speaker 1: I'm still yeah, I mean I had to. We had
- 22:15Speaker 1: to watch the Philadelphia Phillies implode. And look, I know
- 22:19Speaker 1: this is an Eagles post game show. We're not gonna
- 22:21Speaker 1: get into it too much. We're gonna end this in
- 22:23Speaker 1: a couple of minutes here, but but.
- 22:24Speaker 2: We we have to talk about it.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I know.
- 22:26Speaker 2: It's just it's the dark cloud.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I said, you're right before hitting the record button. Yeah,
- 22:32Speaker 1: Ryan Kirkering, just what a boneheaded move and the worst
- 22:37Speaker 1: way to end that game. But you know what, the
- 22:41Speaker 1: offense put up one freaking run right in an elimination
- 22:46Speaker 1: type of game in that moment, and with Christopher Sanchez
- 22:51Speaker 1: the way that he pitched. Oh, and they put up
- 22:56Speaker 1: one run. We're talking Turner, Schwarber, Harper and doing a
- 23:02Speaker 1: whole lot of nothing in this divisional series from those guys,
- 23:06Speaker 1: you know, from an overall picture standpoint, Yeah, those are
- 23:09Speaker 1: the guys. That is why the Phillies are not going
- 23:12Speaker 1: to the NLCS because of those freaking guys. And yes,
- 23:15Speaker 1: Kirkering stunk it up right there at the end, but
- 23:17Speaker 1: it's i the majority of it goes to the offense.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Take away Game three, the top three, the lineup went
- 23:25Speaker 2: like what oh and fifty pretty much? Yeah, basically just dreadful.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Can I quick read my my brother, huge Phillies fan. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:34Speaker 2: what he said he sent me after I I sent
- 23:37Speaker 2: him a gift of the guy shooting himself in the head.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Is actually it doesn't actually show it, folks. Okay, yes, but.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Like my brother's text back, Kirkering is a loser with
- 23:50Speaker 2: a loser face, who made a loser play. I was like,
- 23:55Speaker 2: you know what, Big Red, that's a that's a great
- 23:57Speaker 2: text because that's exactly Belton the moment. And I mean again,
- 24:01Speaker 2: it's not his fault, Like how the hell do you
- 24:04Speaker 2: not get like two runs?
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yes?
- 24:07Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh yeah, just what a what a what
- 24:10Speaker 2: a punch at the punch of the gut.
- 24:12Speaker 1: But like their bullpen is not the best. The bullpen
- 24:16Speaker 1: is not that great.
- 24:17Speaker 2: But they held up like they did, They did their thing,
- 24:20Speaker 2: and like and I don't want to hear any more
- 24:23Speaker 2: casts hate. Yes, I'm a CASTI guy.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I know been and I've always defended him to me too.
- 24:31Speaker 2: And he knocked in a run tonight was key? Did
- 24:37Speaker 2: the game three come back? And yeah, I'm afraid Thompson's
- 24:41Speaker 2: probably gone because like what else can you do? Like
- 24:44Speaker 2: like there's no changes to be made, but they have
- 24:46Speaker 2: to make something right, Like I'm sure like the owners
- 24:50Speaker 2: like all right, what do Yeah, yeah, he's got to
- 24:54Speaker 2: be the one change. I don't know who you bring in.
- 24:56Speaker 2: But like we're gonna get into it more. We'll get
- 24:59Speaker 2: into it more on our future shows. We got some
- 25:01Speaker 2: of course, we've got our shows coming up. This week
- 25:04Speaker 2: is this a postgame show, Jeff, I don't even know.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I know, I don't even know what the hell we're doing.
- 25:09Speaker 1: What your label? You were right your.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Text earlier with like fuck the sports sports companies for
- 25:17Speaker 2: this like Eagles. Yes, I was excited about it when
- 25:22Speaker 2: I saw your text. Mike, He's right, this sucks, ass. Yes,
- 25:25Speaker 2: I had to put a TV in my kitchen table
- 25:28Speaker 2: to watch the Eagles in Phillies.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yes, at the same time as it sucks going back
- 25:33Speaker 1: and forth with the Flyers too. They lost their opening
- 25:36Speaker 1: game of the season. It's like, my gosh, but I
- 25:39Speaker 1: mean it was they were tied and then third period
- 25:43Speaker 1: just this is rough man, rough.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Well, don't worry man, the Sixers are going to go
- 25:54Speaker 2: thirty and fifty two.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Oh.
- 25:56Speaker 2: I can't wait.
- 25:57Speaker 1: It's gotta be grand, really be.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Can't wait for the first game where embat has like
- 26:04Speaker 2: two ice bags on his knees. Yes, Pete, Paul George
- 26:08Speaker 2: is in a fucking like tuxedo, Like, I'm so annoyed.
- 26:15Speaker 1: He just bring brings us. It brings a podcast mic
- 26:17Speaker 1: out on the floor. It's like, guys, we're gonna be
- 26:20Speaker 1: podcasting live from center court. Embad you bored? Yeah, you
- 26:25Speaker 1: had m knees.
- 26:29Speaker 2: He puts the mic to his knees.
- 26:31Speaker 1: He does. You can just hear the good the crackling.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Like peanut brittle.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Oh god, alright, it is a mess, folks. That's gonna
- 26:43Speaker 1: do it for us.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Way we've been so positive on the show the past
- 26:46Speaker 2: few weeks we have this is we're right in our wheelhouse.
- 26:49Speaker 1: We are where we should have been.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yep, we're Philadelphia sports fans. This is exactly how it works.
