- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back to another episode of the Dog's Podcast.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: Josh All your hosts today on Wednesday.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_03]: The day that the Browns were supposed to be interviewing former dolphin's head coach, Mike Nathaniel in person.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_03]: That obviously is not happening anymore.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_03]: News that came out last night, which I will dive into along with you guys.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_03]: As always you guys are just populating the content for the show and I appreciate it guys rock If you want to get your voicemails on the show the dog's podcast.com Tap leave voicemail on the drop down menu or you can just type up a message and send it in and get your thoughts and opinions on the show that way Either way
- 0:53[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to be driving these shows forward with your takes, your questions, and all that kind of stuff.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_03]: Some head coaching updates here before I dive into your guys' voice mails.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, the big one, Mike, McDaniel, with Drew, his name from the Brownside coaching search last night and actually, you know, I'm going to pause here because I think I do actually have a voice mail that I want to lead off with this.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_03]: We'll kick it off this discussion with a voicemail here from Claude.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_06]: Good morning, gang.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_06]: Claude from Erio.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_06]: Just saw Mike McDaniel withdrew his second interview.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_06]: Just curious what you guys think about that.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_06]: Does that add more chaos to our coach search or is that thinning the herd?
- 1:42[SPEAKER_06]: Personally, I would have liked to make Daniel selfishly I guess for just how the press room would be that would be pure entertainment.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_06]: I do, I really like Grazinski.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_06]: That story is just so cool.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_06]: I'm jumping from team to team, moving up the ranks, lands in Cleveland, turns them around and do a contender.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_06]: But I would be totally cool with Nick Shaw's.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_06]: I would be totally cool with either of those guys.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_06]: But do you think either of them would do well with Jim Schwartz?
- 2:15[SPEAKER_06]: Because I don't want to lose Schwartzy.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_06]: And side note, I'm really excited to watch fucking ears and Vulkan's games now.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_05]: It's nice to see a little Cleveland toxicity bleed over somewhere else.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_05]: Thanks guys go browse woohoo.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, Claude the Cleveland toxicity did bleed over in the NFC South.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'll get to the Baker comments his tweet from last night here in a moment, but to go back to your first question here.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, Mike McDaniel withdrawing his name from the Cleveland Brown's head coaching search does create chaos and it's not an either or and it also thins out the herd because obviously that's one fewer candidate that the Brown's have to consider when making this decision.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_03]: So what's the chaos?
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: If you have not been following the show, if you're not aware of the situation with the Brown's head coaching search right now, which by the way seems to be a very dull
- 3:14[SPEAKER_03]: boring.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not 100% sure they know what they're doing type of search.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: Let me just say this before I. I know there's people out there all when you talk about this in NFL team.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, I know what they're doing.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, I've been a fan of this freaking team for 30 plus years.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_03]: Trust me.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_03]: When it feels like they don't know what they're doing, more than likely, they do not know what they're doing.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: But here's the situation.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: So we came into this week with six second round interviews on the doc that we were going to do Jim Schwartz on Monday, Todd Munkin on Tuesday, Mike McDaniel on Wednesday.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_03]: And then it was reported we've got Grant Yudinsky on Friday.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: And I think it was Jesse Minter was the
- 3:59[SPEAKER_03]: And then the sixth second round interview was going to be Nate Sheelhouse, but that couldn't happen until Monday of next week at the earliest because he's the Rams pass game coordinator and the Rams are currently still in the playoffs.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_03]: They're playing the NFC championship game on Sunday.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_03]: So we can't interview Nate until after that game.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_03]: The problem, unfortunately, this is just the way things are.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_03]: The problem comes down to the skin color of the coaches we're interviewing.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: It sucks that that's the situation.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_03]: It shouldn't be the situation, unfortunately it is.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns have not fulfilled the Rooney rule, which I talked about the other day, the Rooney rule states that you must interview at least two.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_03]: head coaching candidates, minority head coaching candidates in person before you can hire your new head coach.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns have not interviewed any minority coaches in person to this point.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: The two that they were going to schedule it with and have that rule satisfied would have been Mike
- 5:13[SPEAKER_03]: We can't meet with Nate until after the NFC Championship game, we are sitting now with the rule, the Rooney rule, being 0% complete with a complete inability to hire a head coach right now if we wanted to.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: That's the situation the Browns are facing.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_03]: So I made a short video about this last night, it sucks.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_03]: It really sucks because the Browns put themselves in a situation where it listen.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_03]: This team, this organization, takes enough heat from the media and from social media and fans and just, they do it, they get enough crap for just being bad for just sucking on the field all the time.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_03]: Now you've put yourselves in a situation where you, and I'm going to say some things here that sound really bad because it is really bad.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: This situation is a bad situation to be and you do not want to be in this situation.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_03]: But you've now put yourself in a spot where you now have to go out and request some interviews without you're going to be deemed token interviews.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's exactly what's going to be.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_03]: I said this last night.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think a minority coach is going to think when the phone rings from the agent and says, hey, the Cleveland Browns are requesting an interview with you for the high coach position?
- 6:37[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, gee.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_03]: I wonder why they're calling me.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be painfully obvious.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_03]: Why we're interviewing new candidates.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_03]: We're already in the middle of our second round of interviews.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's like we've narrowed down to our finalists.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_03]: reaching out and getting some random defensive coordinator in for, you know, a first-time interview at this point is going to be so obvious, especially when that guy is black.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_03]: Just call it what it is.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's the situation we put ourselves in.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_03]: Good job, Andrew Barry.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: We were talking about this in the discord last night.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_03]: How did you mess this up?
- 7:17[SPEAKER_03]: How did you mess this up?
- 7:19[SPEAKER_03]: This rule has been around, I think since 2001,
- 7:22[SPEAKER_03]: Damn, near 30 years, how do you mess this up?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_03]: How did you screw it up, Andrew Berry?
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, guys, you, this is what's being a brown, this is Brown's fandom.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_03]: I love this team.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_03]: I will root for this team until the day I die.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_03]: That is one of the few things in my life that I can guarantee promise you will not change it.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_03]: The only way that could change is if the Browns just close up shop and go away.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, or inform until the day I die.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, I'll probably be forced to root for them in the afterlife for some terrible thing I did in this life, or something that'll be my punishment.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_03]: What are we doing?
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like this head coaching search has no direction.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's very slow, like I already mentioned.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_03]: And here, let me play this voicemail from, oh, which one was it?
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, guys, I have to hold on a second here.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, no, you know what?
- 8:37[SPEAKER_03]: I don't wanna play that one just yet.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_03]: Let me just go back to something here in Clause Void.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_03]: We have interview, grant you density, which you guys know is like my number one guy Blake Sunday night was saying it's interesting that I would have him as my number one guy considering he's not received any interview requests from any other teams he's never been ahead coach and they've been a play caller like what's really the appeal with this guy.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_03]: Well.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_03]: The Buffalo Bills, with their very recent head coach opening, have now requested an interview with Grant Udensky.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_03]: So there you go.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_03]: The bills with Josh Allen with a team who fired their coach because he couldn't get them where they wanted to be, which is a super ball.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like he couldn't get them to the playoffs, which is where the Browns are at.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_03]: We want to head coach and just get us to the dance, baby.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: They don't give us shit about the dance.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_03]: They're already there every year.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_03]: We want somebody who can get us all the way to the finish line.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_03]: And Grant New didn't skis now on the list of people they're interviewing to do so.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_03]: it's interesting because of course if you get a job offer from the Buffalo bills to go be their head coach with Josh Allen and you get a head coach offer from the Cleveland Browns to go be their head coach with Shidorah Deshan.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: He's not coming here.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: So this is where in the discord we were talking just feels like there's no sense of urgency.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_03]: for the Browns unless they have like zeroed in on Nate Shieldhouse and they think that's our guy that's why we're not in any rush right now to knock out these Rooney rule interviews or anything because as soon as we interview Nate Shieldhouse in person we're hiring him because Nate Shieldhouse is a minority coach so if they interview him and hire him they don't have to satisfy the Rooney rule requirements they already they said no we're just going to pull the trigger and hire this coach he just happens to be
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe that's the plan.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the plan is Nate Shiohouse.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_03]: Nate Shiohouse has had multiple head coaching interviews other places.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of speculation that Chris Shula, the defensive coordinator for the Rams will go be a head coach somewhere and he's going to bring Nate Shiohouse along with him as his O.C.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_03]: because that would be a job upgrade for Shiohouse.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_03]: He's currently not the O.C.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_03]: He's a past game coordinator.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_03]: And I know Blake is Blake's anti-nate showhouse.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_03]: Not interested because he's not a coordinator, he doesn't call plays all that kind of stuff.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: Why, and you guys know, Nate showhouse is two on my list.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's you, Dinsky, and then showhouse.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_03]: I would not hate having Nate showhouse be the next side coach.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_03]: And the reason is, I don't believe Nate showhouse would come in here and say, I am doing the Kevin Sefancy.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: We're running my offense.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm calling the plays, and that's it.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like Nate Shieldhouse, you have a better opportunity of him being more of the CEO figure.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, he's going to bring in his offensive schemes and concepts and what he likes to do and things like that.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_03]: But I think Nate Shieldhouse would be more likely.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying this would happen.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying more likely to hire an offensive coordinator and let him call the plays and manage the offense during the game.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if that's true, I don't know if that's what would happen.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_03]: I could see it being the case.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_03]: Again, as we are now halfway through the second, third week of this head coaching search for the Browns, we just have to do a lot of speculation because I feel like we're not really progressing forward.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing that makes sense to me, to me there's two options right now on the table for the Browns.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: One is they don't know what the hell they're doing.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_03]: and they're just kind of flying by the seat of their pants.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_03]: This is Andrew Barry's first-aid coaching search.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_03]: He's getting caught off guard with how it all works.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, that's one path here.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: We just don't know what we're doing and we are screwing this up.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_03]: The other, I just said, the other path in my opinion that makes sense is they've zeroed in on Nate's showhouse and they're fine waiting until he's out of the playoffs to interview him because they can't do anything until he's out of the playoffs anyway.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: And if they win on Sunday, they're going to the Super Bowl.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_03]: That's another two weeks we have to wait until we can hire him.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_03]: I believe I guess I have to look up the rule to see when you could hire a coach if that coach is on the staff of a Super Bowl team.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'll look that up and get back with you guys later this week.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_03]: If somebody in the comments wants to drop the information in their form, we go right ahead.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'd appreciate that.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_03]: I will look it up either way.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_03]: But that's the only other thing that makes sense to me.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it is showhouse because again, then the Rooney rule stuff doesn't matter.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: you don't have to worry about it because a seizure guy and you're going to hire him.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: Then you don't have to fabricate another interview in here with a minority coach just to satisfy the rules.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe that's it.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: That would be my speculation as it currently stands with the way things are going.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_03]: Mike McDaniel, I don't even think I mentioned it.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: The news came out then late last night, I believe.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't see it till earlier this morning that he has taken the offensive coordinator job for the loss and your list charge or so.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like I said the other day on the podcast.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: Makes more sense for Mike McDaniel to take an open offensive coordinator position there are some really good opportunities out there for him to be an O.C.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_03]: on a good team with good offensive players and good quarterback all that kind of stuff.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_03]: do that for a year or two, revitalize a team, get them to the next level where they want to be.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: And then you will be in like the top demand for a head coaching gig because, you know, and everybody said, well, the Browns are really screwed this up.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: By not, you know, he, he chose the Charger's OC job over the Browns head coat.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_03]: We don't even know if the Browns are going to offer him this job.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he had an inkling they weren't.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he knew the Ravens weren't going to offer
- 14:35[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he just didn't want to do anything with the Raiders.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_03]: So it just made more sense to me to see him take an offensive coordinator job during this cycle because I think he will be a head coach again in the future.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I think there's still a little bit of bad taste coming off of what happened in Miami and all that kind of stuff.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_03]: So go be an OC.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_03]: I said this yellow.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_03]: Go do the Cliff Kingsberry.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_03]: Go be an OC.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_03]: Get your name back in the spotlight in a positive light, a fully positive light before you throw your hat back in the ring for head coach.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that was probably a smart move on his part.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_03]: Again, the Brownsworth the only interview that he had to withdraw from to take that job in LA.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_03]: He withdrew from other head coaching interviews, won the Ravens and we weren't the only team that he backed out on.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_03]: He just wanted to be the OC in LA and I don't blame him.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_03]: I do not blame Mike McDonald for that decision.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_03]: So that takes the candidate list down from five to ear from six to five.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's the only news I wanted to talk about as far as head coaching.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: Mike McDonald grant you didn't speak being coder interviewed by the bills.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_03]: And then the possibility that maybe Nate Shield House is the Browns guy.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe that's what's going on here.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_03]: This episode is sponsored by Kalshi.

- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: Let's listen to this one from Darren.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, guys, Adam from Edinburgh here.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: First voice mail under the show.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: So being nice, hopefully, you understand my accent.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: And just want to say, love the show.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, you guys, most weeks, our work night shift here.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: So the time difference is, so it was nice to hear a podcast late night when I met my works.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: Just think of headphones and listen.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: really appreciate he's been able to really get a lot of stuff to talk about because of the performances but here we are so just want to say Josh you've convinced me I'm all on board where you dance here as a head coach but I wouldn't have been mad when McDonald's either.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: And just on the draft I was curious to you guys think that we should be looking at a guy like Kenyan sedic 24 just where as not really known what's going to happen with the Joker or
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: Do you guys just go to receive our flash round?
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'll receive it in sex and an offensive lightment at 24 or maybe drop down and get one of the more elite ones.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, just love the show.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: First voice bill.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully I'll be in the future.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, speak to you soon.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: Go blind.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_03]: All right, Darren, thank you very much.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'll let me say this real quick before I talk about what you asked there.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, I am terrible with accents.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_03]: I just am for some reason the way my hearer, the way I hear it and translate my mind.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_03]: I struggle with accents.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_03]: I understood absolutely everything you said in that voicemail.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_03]: except for one thing.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_03]: I have no idea where you're from.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_03]: So if anybody out there has a better ear for accents than I do, or dare, and if you're in the comments, you want to let me know, where did you say you're from?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: I've listened to this voice more like 10 times, I've turned it up, I put in my ear, but I cannot make out where you said you're from.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_03]: It cracks me up.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_03]: That is 100% me though, that's all me, that's not you brother, that is me.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_03]: Kenyan Sadik, the Titan from Oregon, I like him.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_03]: He's a big, massive, just rocked up.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_03]: Studgy looking dude, and all that kind of stuff.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure he'll go first round.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_03]: He'll be the first Titan Taken, not for the Browns.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_03]: Not for the Browns.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_03]: Now, we have to get wide receiver and offensive line.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think tight end is, is that critical for the Browns that we have to go get Kenyan City.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_03]: Now, if we get a new head coach in here that says, I need that type of tight end to go with Harold Fan and Junior, then maybe that changes things.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_03]: But for me, it's all about getting one of the top three elite receivers in this draft.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_03]: And that would be Carnal Tate, Jordan Tyson, or McCy Lemmon, you have to get one of those three.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_03]: If the Browns don't get one of those three, I'm going to be so mad, I'm going to be pissed, live it.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_03]: And then obviously, yes, an offensive tackle, and I keep saying this, but I,
- 21:20[SPEAKER_03]: till free agency rolls around.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to have to keep making the point.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_03]: It just depends on what we do in free agency with the offensive line because no matter what happens I can tell you right now, we're not getting a Y receiver one in free agency.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's not going to happen.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_03]: You can't do that.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_03]: So that's why Y receiver one doesn't change for me as a draft necessity getting one of those top three guys offensive line
- 21:39[SPEAKER_03]: There are guys you can sign and free agency to fulfill those positions.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_03]: Not all of them, of course you're still going to have to draft a couple guys.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, let me, all of what you guys know, I've got mock draft 2.0 coming out later this week.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think I said this the other day.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to talk about some offensive linemen in that mock draft and how we could revamp the Browns offensive line pretty quickly.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_03]: even without anything or knowing anything with free agency.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll talk about that tomorrow or Friday.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_03]: I can't remember which day we're going to put that out.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_03]: But it's common.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: So stay tuned.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you, Darren, for the voice, now I do hope to hear back from you again.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_03]: And again, don't worry about the accent because that is 100% my fault and not yours.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, next voice note is from Gabriel.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_03]: What do you do with broken baker?
- 22:23[SPEAKER_04]: What do you do with broken baker?
- 22:25[SPEAKER_04]: What do you do with broken baker?
- 22:26[SPEAKER_04]: You missed up playoffs.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_04]: That's right, Brad money maker.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_04]: You're not the only one who can sing on this podcast.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_04]: I got sea shanties.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_04]: Let's do this bro.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_04]: And hello, Docs podcast.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_04]: It is your fucking ears fan back Gabriel.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_04]: And Josh, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the inspiring words you mentioned on my previous voicemail.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_04]: That was my first time ever.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: sending a voicemail into the dog's podcast.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_04]: There is an eye asked that question about how to do a podcast is.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_04]: Mean my best friend, who is a chief fan, we do a podcast every Tuesday night.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_04]: Well, a quote unquote podcast, we go live on Facebook live.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_04]: But thank you for all the inspiring words and we definitely will keep those in mind.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_04]: And is there gonna be any way this summer you can work up luck in your spent into the dog pack, this discord and patreon.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_04]: I'm thinking about joining over the summer and thank you guys for everything you do.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_04]: Go dogs.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_03]: We have dueling singing voice males on the dog's podcast.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_03]: This is I never in a million years What a guest we would grow to this point.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_03]: Brad you have got some serious competition Gabriel that was a phenomenal song And it's interesting to hear from a buck and years fan talking about Baker Mayfield this way because we lived it as Browns fans And you guys are experiencing it now too, which by the way I do need to talk about this whole
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: Baker Kevin thing, and I'll get to that here in a second, but first of all, Gabriel thinks again for the voice note to talk about the podcast thing.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: One last bit of advice here, if you are doing a Facebook live once a week, first of all, that's not quote, a podcast.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_03]: That is a podcast.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_03]: You're doing a podcast.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_03]: You were putting out content in a very,
- 24:05[SPEAKER_03]: structured manner, and that's awesome.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_03]: My advice would be go into your Facebook.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_03]: I can't remember where it is because I don't, I don't do this very often.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's the business sweet, meta business sweet on the backside, whatever it is.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_03]: Go to the post, go to the video, download it.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_03]: Download the video, upload the video, create a YouTube channel, start posting your podcast, take the video that you have on Facebook Live, download it, put it on YouTube, throw it into audacity or like a free audio editing software that you can download, and then throw the video file into there, export out the audio, and start putting it out as an audio podcast for Spotify and Apple and everybody else to listen to.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_03]: That would be my suggestion.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_03]: You've already got the content, put it everywhere you can.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_03]: Take it to YouTube, take it to the audio platforms, and now you don't just have a Facebook lie that you do, you have a legitimate podcast that is going to all the different platforms.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_03]: And if you need any help doing that, bark at thedogspodcast.com.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_03]: That is the email, go ahead and send me a message and I will help you get all that straightened out if you have any questions.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_03]: And yes, there is definitely room for a buck and ears fan in the dog pack.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_03]: We would love to have you and I, you and Brad can go ahead and have their your singing battles in there.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_03]: Don't wait till the summer.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_03]: Come on in now.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_03]: We can talk about draft.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_03]: We can talk about everything going on in the NFC South, which brings me to the tweet.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: So D or Lando Ledbetter, who is a Falcons beat writer.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: Posted this the other night, I guess this was yesterday, in defense of newly hired Falcons head coach Kevin Stephansky led better said Kevin Stephansky had a dumpster fire at quarterback in Cleveland Baker may field and the Sean Watson failed which started a chain reaction to 11 other starters quarterback should door Sanders closed out last season with seven stars.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't really know why.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_03]: I don't.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what his point was with the last sentence there, it was just a fact, I guess.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, so Baker retweets this, or quote tweet, I don't even know the vert, guys, I'm so bad.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'm getting old.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, he posts this and says failed, is quite the reach pal, still waiting on a text call from him after I got shipped off like a piece of garbage.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_03]: can't wait to see you twice a year coach and who he's referring to there when he says still waiting on a texture call from him after I got shipped off still waiting on a texture call from Kevin's defense so apparently Kevin never even reached out to Baker after he was traded.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of misremembering of how things went, Baker may feel did request a trade at that point after the 2020 one season with the Browns and all that kind of stuff.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: It was that situation in Cleveland.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_03]: And now here we go Kevin's defense key and Baker may feel good to face each other twice a year They battle in the NFC South for that division, which is always a bad division So we'll see this is going to be musty TV the Baker may feel Kevin's defense key wars Have a left cleavent there now in the NFC South and you bucks and Falcons fans get to live them Welcome to the club baby.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to the club.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_03]: I will say
- 27:17[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen some people making some decent points on Twitter, you know, Baker may feel coming out and basically saying he had beef with Kevin, you've got Wyatt Teller's wife coming out.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_03]: They've got beef with Kevin.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: Things were weird with Shidorah Sanders.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_03]: The Sean Watson has made done done a couple things to indicate that he had beef with Kevin.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's interesting.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's just interesting.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'll leave it at that.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: And obviously, it's all speculation because that's what a lot of these cryptic things on social media do.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_03]: But Baker may feel just taken to the tweets to throw some shots at Kevin's defense.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that was interesting.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_03]: So Gabriel, if you want to also let me know what you think about your QB taking shots at his old head coach.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_03]: Alright, let's see, we talked about, we heard from Claude, Darren Gabriel, let's listen to this voice mo from John.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, guys?
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: John O'Malley, Jr. here from Buckeh Arizona and I've listened to the last two recent episodes and I can understand the frustration of firing Kevin, but the time was now and to be honest.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would have fired Kevin after the jet's game.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: 8 and 26 over two seasons.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: Two playoff appearances, found spulton the division around.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he's a two-time coach of the year, but I was telling my buddy, because we were both avid Browns fans.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: How much longer were we able to continue to justify his coach of the year awards?
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: And this raster, yes, absolutely terrible, offensively, but we weren't far off like many people think.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: A few mistakes go one way.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: and exactly like Josh said, we're fighting for the divisional, you know, for the division.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: And we need a few pieces and we can make some serious noise next season and the season after because remember guys, we're under pressure because of miles Garrett.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you guys.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: Have a good day.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: All right, John, thanks for the voicemail.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns did not get bouncing the divisional round in both of those playoff appearances.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_03]: It was the first year in 2020, but in 2023, we lost in the wild card.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_03]: The first round down there and Houston to the Texans.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_03]: To East CJ, Straud, that actually looked good.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_03]: as compared to what he has been the last couple years, very interesting development there.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was time, you guys know, I was ready, it was time to move on from Kevin the thing about only being a few mistakes here and there away from having eight or nine wins this season.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_03]: That's true, that's very true.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_03]: Some of those mistakes are on him, and it just never felt like he was a coach who could consistently because he could do it from time to time, but it never felt like he could consistently win the close games.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: It was the Browns who always found a way, and this is historically true of the Browns no matter who the coach is.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_03]: They just find a way to lose.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's a running joke.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's a Browns fan.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_03]: What's the new way to lose this week?
- 30:26[SPEAKER_03]: If there's a way to lose it, we will invent one.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_03]: We will find it.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_03]: It will be ours.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_03]: And I just keep going back to that Titan's game, man.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: You're down by 14, you score touchdown.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_03]: You could be down by seven points.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_03]: And instead you decided to go for two.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_03]: Put yourself down by eight.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_03]: Now you have to go for two, the next time you score.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_03]: And the play called they wrote in there with the the running back wildcat direct snaps we fake miss toss throw whatever the hell we were doing to a practice quad rookie receiver uh... man makes me sick to think about so that was a big one right there that was a bad one and then you know another thing for for falcons fans which i know you guys aren't watching this podcast but it's interesting to
- 31:18[SPEAKER_03]: I want to know what they think as he builds his staff, because that was always a weakness in my opinion for Kevin and Cleveland.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: It was Joe Woods, which was a terrible defense, which we held on to for three years, even though we said after the first show, you need to fire this guy and get a different defense of coordinator.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: Nope.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: Kevin rolls with his buddy Joe Woods for two more seasons.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_03]: The defense is one of the worst in the league.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_03]: and then finally the fires and say we might prefer in the special teams and then it's above and thrown with special teams.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, Ken Dorsey, Eiers him, and as the fire him after one year, he's got to give a play calling to his two years in row.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, I don't know, we'll see how things work down there in Atlanta, but we'll find out.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_03]: We will find out how time will tell how that's going to go.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_03]: All right, we got our last voicemail here.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_03]: This
- 32:12[SPEAKER_07]: It's your friendly neighborhood Browns fan out here in Jersey.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_07]: I've just gone through a little guest cluster of voice bells on setting here just because I don't know I'm traveling for work.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_07]: I look a bit right now and sometimes I just want to point out you know and I've been preaching this for a while and I think we're all on the same page in terms of just going after some receivers especially in the first round of this draft is like just look at who's
- 32:40[SPEAKER_07]: Patriots, stuff on digs, ramps, kooka, nukuah, Seattle seahawks, Jackson spit the jigsaw.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_07]: See you in a trend here.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_07]: And then you look at like Baltimore and you look at the bills, and it's just like they didn't really have any big receiver, you know?
- 32:59[SPEAKER_07]: So it's like, let's change that up.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_07]: We got shit ore coming back.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_07]: You know, we got Harold Fan in the throw too.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I like Isaiah Bond keeping him, speedster a little bit.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_07]: So we do actually have a little bit of speed.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, let's just go get a receiver, please.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_07]: Go Browns.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_07]: Ooh.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go get a receiver just and let's go get a couple of them.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_03]: Gosh darn it.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: We need past catchers.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_03]: We need wide receivers.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_03]: We need some major help.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_03]: in that area.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_03]: I know Mel Kiper Jr. just put out his first mock draft of the draft process season here today.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's got the Browns taken offensive tackle Spencer Fano from Utah at pick six and then 24.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_03]: It's Zachariah Branch, the Wider Seaver out at Georgia.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_03]: Probably the first time I've seen Zachariah Branch mocked in the first round.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_03]: I think could be wrong.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: And maybe someone else has done it.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_03]: I just haven't seen it.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's not something I've come across
- 33:55[SPEAKER_03]: So you guys can let me know what you think about that.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_03]: What if we came away with Spencer Fano and then Zachariah Branch, I know he's a little under size 510, 180, but he's a very good playmaker and, you know, for more time reading pretty electric with the ball in his hand after the catch and all that kind of stuff.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_03]: I just think we got to go one of those top three, one of the big three receivers at six, you got to get one of those dudes.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_03]: Like we need a dude, like Justin said there.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_03]: The teams that are in the playoffs that are having success, they have dudes at wide receiver.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, they have quarterbacks.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_03]: That's the don't thing.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_03]: You got to have the bills have Josh Allen, but they don't have a dude at wide receiver anymore.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_03]: You know, that dude that they did have is now the dude for the Patriots, step on digs.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_03]: got to get a wider receiver we need a couple I think that as much as we poo poo on Jerry Judy on this show and as a fan base which deservedly so he was nothing but do do this year.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_03]: I think that Jerry Judy is just not built to be a focal point of an offensive.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, you're wide receiver three.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_03]: If you've got some boundary guys out there and you can put him in the slaughter, let him bounce you know, between the Z and the, I guess, what, the Z and the Y.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_03]: And then you got like a boundary extra receiver and all that kind of stuff.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_03]: I think Jerry Judy would be okay.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think he'll
- 35:18[SPEAKER_03]: I guess mentally I don't know if he'll be okay because I feel like if he's the the third wide receiver on the depth chart he's going to be crying about not getting enough targets but you know he's going to drop half of many way and there I go I'm poopoing on him again I gotta stop doing this
- 35:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think that we need to get some.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_03]: We got to get Tate Tyson or Lemon.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_03]: And then I would love to get one of the Indiana kids, either Elijah Serrat or Omar Cooper Jr.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think the way you go about that, you kind of build off what you have after pick six because if you're going like, if you're going Cardinal Tate, I'll just do a quick aside here on receivers in my opinion.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_03]: If you're going Cardinal Tate, you probably don't wanna double up with Elijah Serrat because they're gonna
- 36:00[SPEAKER_03]: fulfill the same role on your team, the outside, you know, downfield, extra silver, the big body, contested catch guy, not the fastest, but they're going to win with their route running in the physicality.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_03]: So I would, if you go Tate, I would be much more honed in on Omar Cooper Jr. After that, if you go with Jordan Tyson, who's a
- 36:22[SPEAKER_03]: more of a bounce receiver he can kind of come inside outside and and he's more versatile and that kind of thing well then maybe you want to look at Elijah Sirot and the same situation would go from a Kylimin who's going to you know dominate I think he can go inside and outside from what I understand but I think he's going to dominate your
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: Slot position in the way that a guy like I'm in Ross St. Brown does for the lions.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to need an outside boundary receiver So that's where Elijah Sarat would make a lot of sense.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_03]: Oh Mark Cooper Jr. does a lot of what I think lemon and Jordan Tyson can do he can play inside outside, but you can move him around.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: He's very versatile and all that kind of stuff But if you want that guy that you know, set or tell him unfortunately was supposed to become and I don't think he ever will I think he'll be it
- 37:06[SPEAKER_03]: Cedric Tillman would be okay as a depth piece for the boundary x spot and all that kind of stuff, but I think you need a guy who can come in here and dominate that position.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_03]: So that's where a guy like Carnotate or Georgia Elijah Serrat would be interesting in my opinion.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_03]: But that's it.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_03]: That's the voicemails for you guys today.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_03]: Again, we've got the mock draft two point.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, episode coming up later this week.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_03]: The dog pack disc or live episode will be on Sunday.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: Either noon or one haven't exactly set a time yet.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_03]: Kenny and I are still discussing that be either way.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_03]: It'll be early afternoon.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: on Sunday.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: So if you're in the dog pack, mark your calendar, be ready for that jump in, get on the show, talk to us, ask some questions, give your opinions.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk about the coaching search.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk about draft prospects.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure we'll be still discussing Baker and Kevin and the feud and all that kind of stuff.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_03]: And if you want to be a part of those episodes, if you want to be a part of the dog pack, get into that community, Gabriel, I'm telling you, get in there, man, we will welcome a buck in your span for sure.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: My uncles a buck in your

- 38:12[SPEAKER_03]: We'll welcome you in and we can talk about Baker and Kevin and the draft and everything.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody is welcome in the dog pack.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_03]: So you can get in there and then give it to Brad for sure.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_03]: He needs it.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_03]: Brad, you got to step up your singing game buddy.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_03]: And that's at join the dogs dot com if you want to be part of that community.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_03]: So I appreciate everybody tuning in.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you everybody for your voice, males, your feedback, your questions, all that kind of stuff.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_03]: You guys, I love how you populate the show with content.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_03]: You ask the best questions and give the best takes.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: Justin, I will do a quick note for him.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_03]: He left me three or four voice males here in the last couple of days.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_03]: And I didn't play all of them because it started off with talking about how Mike McDaniel was his
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: his coach of choice which now of course is irrelevant because he's off the market so that's why we only got to the last boy smell from Justin but appreciate you guys send everything in we'll talk to you on the next episode have a great week let's go browns
