- 18:26Speaker 1: article comes from the September 16, 2026 edition of the
- 18:31Speaker 1: Louisville Courier-Journal and is titled MedVantics Opens New Louisville Hub
- 18:36Speaker 1: for Medicine Access, written by Olivia Evans. Louisville continues to
- 18:42Speaker 1: grow its reputation as a national hub for healthcare logistics. MedVantics,
- 18:47Speaker 1: a pharmacy service company, opened a new $ 27 million state-of-the-art
- 18:52Speaker 1: facility on September 16th off New Cut Road in South Louisville.
- 18:57Speaker 1: It's located near an array of UPS healthcare facilities, which
- 19:01Speaker 1: company CEO Kurt Browning says was strategic and comes after
- 19:05Speaker 1: 12 years of collaboration and trust in UPS. to deliver
- 19:10Speaker 1: medications to its patients. We serve patients who may otherwise
- 19:14Speaker 1: have difficulty accessing medications they need, particularly when those medications
- 19:20Speaker 1: are unaffordable through traditional pharmacies, Browning said. With the support
- 19:25Speaker 1: of UPS Healthcare, we partner with pharmaceutical companies to solve
- 19:30Speaker 1: real problems for real patients. The new investment by MedVantics
- 19:35Speaker 1: into its Louisville facility will allow the pharmacy company to
- 19:39Speaker 1: expand its ability to support drug makers and patients. The
- 19:43Speaker 1: facility will not only support the company's growing operations, but
- 19:47Speaker 1: will create 122 new full-time jobs in Louisville with an
- 19:52Speaker 1: average hourly wage of $ 35. Governor Andy Beshear, who joined
- 19:58Speaker 1: MedVantics for its grand opening and ribbon-cutting on September 16th,
- 20:02Speaker 1: said having UPS Healthcare in the state has led to
- 20:06Speaker 1: increased economic development investments and help build out a national
- 20:10Speaker 1: recognized healthcare logistics sector and attract new companies to the region.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I believe that healthcare is a basic human right, and
- 20:19Speaker 1: companies like this are showing that taking care of people
- 20:23Speaker 1: isn't only the right thing to do morally, it's the
- 20:26Speaker 1: right thing to do for our economy, Beshear said. The
- 20:29Speaker 1: new location more than doubles the company's Louisville footprint and
- 20:33Speaker 1: brings both additional fulfillment capacity for prescriptions and and increases
- 20:38Speaker 1: its cold chain capabilities to allow greater access for patients
- 20:42Speaker 1: who rely on temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals. MedVantix can now hold 30-
- 20:48Speaker 1: to 60-day supplies of many drugs at its facilities, ensuring
- 20:54Speaker 1: prescription availability as needed by patients. With MedVantix located near
- 20:59Speaker 1: UPS Worldport and UPS Labport, the company is one of
- 21:04Speaker 1: the largest independent and non-commercial dispensing pharmacies nationwide, has easy
- 21:09Speaker 1: access to national healthcare logistics infrastructure. MedVantix officials said through
- 21:15Speaker 1: its partnership with UPS Healthcare and integrated technologies inside the
- 21:20Speaker 1: new pharmacy center, it is able to fulfill 99.9% of
- 21:25Speaker 1: prescriptions accurately. Every day, medications and medical devices will leave
- 21:31Speaker 1: this facility in Louisville and reach patients all across the country,
- 21:36Speaker 1: including people who might otherwise have an incredibly difficult time
- 21:40Speaker 1: accessing the care that they need, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg
- 21:44Speaker 1: said at the grand opening. People hundreds or thousands of
- 21:48Speaker 1: miles away will know that their medication passed right through Louisville, Kentucky.
- 21:53Speaker 1: That person is healthier. They're stronger as a result of
- 21:56Speaker 1: what's happening here in Louisville. Browning, with MedVantics, said the
- 22:02Speaker 1: company aims to make medications more accessible for patients nationwide
- 22:06Speaker 1: through its direct-to-patient model and by offering no-cost assistance programs.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Medvantix served more than 10,000 Kentuckians with recurring prescriptions in
- 22:19Speaker 1: 2025 and has a reach spanning hundreds of thousands of
- 22:22Speaker 1: patients in all 50 states and across U.S. territories. We've
- 22:27Speaker 1: long believed that healthcare logistics is ultimately about the people,
- 22:31Speaker 1: Behind every prescription, every therapy, every healthcare shipment is a patient.
- 22:37Speaker 1: That's why investments like this matter, said Aaron Hardison, UPS
- 22:41Speaker 1: Healthcare's Director of Business Development. As patients' needs continue to evolve,
- 22:47Speaker 1: so too must complex healthcare logistics. Expanding pharmacy capabilities helps
- 22:53Speaker 1: strengthen access, improve efficiency, and support the delivery of medications
- 22:58Speaker 1: to the people who depend on them. The next article
- 23:01Speaker 1: comes from the September 18, 2026 edition of Louisville Business First.

- 23:34Speaker 1: two residential communities, the Village at Parklands and the Reserve

- 23:45Speaker 1: is serving as the general contractor and builder for the Village,

- 23:59Speaker 1: of Studio Kramer Architects is the development's architect. The village
- 24:04Speaker 1: will have 190 townhomes with two to three bedrooms and
- 24:08Speaker 1: estimated starting rents at $ 2, 500. The units will include granite countertops,
- 24:15Speaker 1: washers and dryers, and stainless steel appliances. The reserve will
- 24:19Speaker 1: consist of 595 single-family homes with prices starting in the
- 24:24Speaker 1: mid- $ 300, 000s. Home designs range from 2,000 to 3,000 square feet.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Scott Maron with Pult Homes said construction on model homes
- 24:34Speaker 1: at the reserve will begin soon with a grand opening
- 24:38Speaker 1: in early 2027. The communities will include a clubhouse, fitness center, pool,
- 24:45Speaker 1: dog park, walking and sitting areas, and outdoor grilling stations.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Highgate's broke ground on the project in August of 2025.
