- 1:08Speaker 6: We did do a live episode, just super cool.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I've already heard that. I think, yeah at this.
- 1:14Speaker 6: Point, at this time when we're recording, it hasn't come out.
- 1:18Speaker 6: So I did get to see you there at the
- 1:20Speaker 6: Oregon Getaway. That was very fun.
- 1:24Speaker 2: But before that I was in China for two weeks.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Yes, oh god, we recorded before China.
- 1:30Speaker 2: That's okay, it's been a minute, it really yeah, Okay.
- 1:36Speaker 6: The China tour went pretty well. There were some some
- 1:41Speaker 6: pros and some cons. Got to see some some pretty
- 1:45Speaker 6: amazing places, got to have some amazing Chinese food. I
- 1:48Speaker 6: will say I was real ready for a burger when
- 1:52Speaker 6: I got home.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I get that. I get that.
- 1:55Speaker 6: It's like I just want like a burger or like
- 1:58Speaker 6: a taco or just something, just something a little different,
- 2:02Speaker 6: Like it's good, it's just just different. The first week,
- 2:06Speaker 6: week and a half, we were like this is amazing,
- 2:08Speaker 6: and then it's just I hit a point where I
- 2:10Speaker 6: was like, I'm I want my I want my creature
- 2:13Speaker 6: comforts and comforts death, I feel you, I feel but
- 2:18Speaker 6: really fun crowds out there, and uh. One thing I
- 2:22Speaker 6: will say is I wish they enjoyed air conditioning more.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Yeah. Really are not for it.
- 2:28Speaker 6: They're not for it. They're against it, and I'm against that.
- 2:30Speaker 6: And I was hot and sweaty the whole time.
- 2:34Speaker 3: But we are like two to three of them right speaking.
- 2:39Speaker 6: Yes, but yeah, they I heard that they think that
- 2:43Speaker 6: you'll get sick if you're in a cold room. I
- 2:46Speaker 6: just want to I want to assure them that that
- 2:48Speaker 6: is the case for me.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I promise. I've been doing it a long time. I'm
- 2:52Speaker 3: not always sick.
- 2:54Speaker 6: Yeah, but yeah, and then we did the working get
- 2:58Speaker 6: away that was super fun. And then but now I've
- 3:00Speaker 6: been on vacation for a week up at the cabin.
- 3:02Speaker 6: That's where I currently am. I love it with my family.
- 3:05Speaker 6: So just so many things, dude, so many things.
- 3:09Speaker 2: How have you been a good man?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Just hanging out? I have been to What have I
- 3:16Speaker 3: done since we last talk? So? Yeah, the getaway happened.
- 3:19Speaker 3: That was great. I went for a few days before
- 3:23Speaker 3: and saw the Zambers. That was fun.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeap.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Their little family is just so cute and great.
- 3:29Speaker 2: They're the sweetest.
- 3:30Speaker 3: They're lovely, those kiddos are They're just cutie pies. Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I did that. And then I went to a work
- 3:38Speaker 3: conference in Atlanta for a week, so I.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Was like, yeah, how was that?
- 3:41Speaker 3: It was really good. I didn't get to see much
- 3:43Speaker 3: of Atlanta, but we hung out. It was really interesting,
- 3:46Speaker 3: learned a bunch of stuff, hung out with some coworkers
- 3:49Speaker 3: I hadn't hung out with before, So overall, it was
- 3:51Speaker 3: a success. I definitely by the end of it, I
- 3:54Speaker 3: was like, I'm ready to just be home and bed
- 3:56Speaker 3: you out a little bit.
- 3:57Speaker 2: It was a full week you're out there.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah, And then it had been it had been two
- 4:03Speaker 3: and a half weeks I think total, since i'd been
- 4:06Speaker 3: home for you know, like a more than just a
- 4:10Speaker 3: resting my head for an hour or two, you know
- 4:12Speaker 3: kind of deal, which I'm sure you understand more than anyway,
- 4:15Speaker 3: but it just gets to me. I'm just like, I
- 4:18Speaker 3: just want to relax a little bit, you know. But
- 4:20Speaker 3: I get that I've done plenty of that since. So, Yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 3: liked hanging out. I'm going to God's Country for Labor Day,
- 4:28Speaker 3: so it'll be fun.
- 4:29Speaker 2: How fun? So are you going to do our fantasy
- 4:31Speaker 2: football draft up there?
- 4:32Speaker 3: I think I'll be back here for that, okay, but
- 4:37Speaker 3: I'm going to go for hanging with math for a
- 4:40Speaker 3: few days, and then a bunch of people are coming
- 4:42Speaker 3: up to our land up there to go camping and stuff.
- 4:44Speaker 2: So finally fun. It will be fun.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Yeah, So I just living the dream. I'm super ready
- 4:51Speaker 3: for fall and sports and cooler temperatures and just all
- 4:56Speaker 3: the things I heard that. Yeah, the fall so much.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I mean has been fun, but you know, I just
- 5:01Speaker 3: always love the fall.
- 5:03Speaker 6: I feel you. I am at the cabin. I'm glad
- 5:05Speaker 6: it's summer. We've been having a lot of good times
- 5:07Speaker 6: on the lake and stuff. One caveat.
- 5:10Speaker 2: We have two dogs up here and they are loud,
- 5:13Speaker 2: so a little.
- 5:18Speaker 3: There's nobody tell Norman I'm on the call. Yeah, okay,
- 5:22Speaker 3: would be good.
- 5:23Speaker 6: Not a fan my sister's dog, Norman. He is still
- 5:27Speaker 6: kind of a puppy. And man, he and Penny they there,
- 5:31Speaker 6: they are right, they know I'm talking about him.
- 5:37Speaker 3: They yeah, and having a great time. Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 6: And Penny's actually like giving her the time of day,
- 5:43Speaker 6: giving him the time of day, which is kind of nice.
- 5:45Speaker 3: And yeah, that's wonderful. Nice.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It might be loud. Sorry, no worries.
- 5:50Speaker 3: We'll figure it out. Well, very cool, buddy. Oh god,
- 5:54Speaker 3: you were gonna do it. I was gonna do it.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Most last movie you watch?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Last movie I watched. I watched the make of Lilo
- 6:02Speaker 3: and Stitch, the live action, the live action one, and man,
- 6:07Speaker 3: I liked it a ton, Buddy, I thought it was
- 6:10Speaker 3: really really fun. This is a lovely example for folks
- 6:14Speaker 3: who have seen the original eLOAD Stitch, which I was
- 6:17Speaker 3: a huge fan. I think you said you didn't really
- 6:20Speaker 3: see that one, right, like the kids. Okay, I had
- 6:25Speaker 3: seen the original and really liked the animated one. They
- 6:28Speaker 3: this one was fun. They went they like added stuff
- 6:31Speaker 3: to the story which was really fun. So it had
- 6:33Speaker 3: all the beats of the original, but they added story
- 6:37Speaker 3: elements that were much cooler for a live you know,
- 6:41Speaker 3: a live action remake. And I really really enjoyed that.
- 6:45Speaker 3: It really hit perfectly for me. So I had a
- 6:48Speaker 3: great time. I really liked it. The little girl in
- 6:51Speaker 3: it is just she's just the cutest Maya k Looa.
- 6:56Speaker 3: She's just so cute and fun. She was just great.
- 6:59Speaker 3: And Stitch was great. They like made him, you know,
- 7:02Speaker 3: mostly the same but slightly different. And I really had
- 7:05Speaker 3: a good time watching this movie. It was It was
- 7:07Speaker 3: a hit as far as I'm concerned, And I can't
- 7:11Speaker 3: recommend it enough. I feel like your kids would like it.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I don't.
- 7:14Speaker 2: They've seen it, yes, so did they enjoy it? They
- 7:17Speaker 2: loved it?
- 7:18Speaker 3: Nice.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Okay, we actually we were just talking about what's your
- 7:20Speaker 6: favorite Disney movie?
- 7:22Speaker 2: And for both of them, they both said the new Stitch.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Stitch, Yeah, yeah, it's so cute. Have you been able
- 7:28Speaker 3: to see this one or did they say have it Okay, Yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 3: I haven't seen it. Yeah it's really fun man, but cool. Yeah.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I really enjoyed it. I recommend it. All the actors
- 7:38Speaker 3: are that are in it are super fun and it's
- 7:41Speaker 3: just a fun story and not exactly the same as
- 7:44Speaker 3: the animated one, but while keeping all the good parts
- 7:47Speaker 3: kind of, so it's sort of a best of both
- 7:49Speaker 3: world situations. Big fan, big fans for sure.
- 7:54Speaker 6: I hadn't really heard anything like from anybody really about
- 7:58Speaker 6: that except for my kids, and I knew they were
- 8:00Speaker 6: going to love it.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Kids will all love it, I like. I think. I
- 8:03Speaker 3: gave it a nine on IMDb because Wow, I loved it.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I thought it was just super well done and really cool.
- 8:10Speaker 3: So check it out. How about you, what's the last
- 8:13Speaker 3: movie you watch?
- 8:14Speaker 2: Well?
- 8:15Speaker 6: I watched so many movies to and from China. It
- 8:18Speaker 6: turns out that's a long flight.
- 8:21Speaker 3: It's a long flight.
- 8:23Speaker 2: It's a long one.
- 8:24Speaker 6: But one of the craziest ones that I watched was
- 8:27Speaker 6: a movie called Freaky Tales. Freaky Tales, it's currently being
- 8:33Speaker 6: streamed on HBO Max, but it's these four crazy stories
- 8:38Speaker 6: that are intertwined.
- 8:40Speaker 2: It's set in the nineteen eighties, so it has that
- 8:43Speaker 2: kind of vibe.
- 8:44Speaker 6: It has some kind of supernatural stuff, a ton of violence,
- 8:50Speaker 6: especially in the last tale, but it was really different.
- 8:54Speaker 6: It's very original. It did kind of have a Tarantino
- 8:58Speaker 6: vibe to it. Adam Rupp had seen it on the
- 9:01Speaker 6: first flight and he was kind of raving about it,
- 9:04Speaker 6: and so I was like, all right, I'll watch it
- 9:05Speaker 6: on the way back. Crazy. I really enjoyed it. The
- 9:09Speaker 6: big actors in at our Pager Pascal Ben Mendelssohn, pop
- 9:14Speaker 6: star Normani. She makes an appearance and she did a
- 9:17Speaker 6: really good job in her her tail.
- 9:21Speaker 2: She was in She's a pop.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Star by herself now, but she was in a girl
- 9:26Speaker 6: group that I can't think of what the name was.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Sounds familiar, but yeah.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Cool.
- 9:31Speaker 6: She also is engaged to DK Metcalf. They're the new
- 9:37Speaker 6: my Yeah Star couple. But yeah, dude, I really enjoyed it.
- 9:42Speaker 6: It might be a little too out there, a little
- 9:43Speaker 6: too violent for some folks, but it was just the
- 9:47Speaker 6: amount of freaky that I liked, so I was into it.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Very cool to check that out.
- 9:52Speaker 6: That sounds neat, Yeah, dude, you're gonna get Oh, there's
- 9:54Speaker 6: also one huge cameo on it.
- 9:56Speaker 2: That was really fun.
- 9:58Speaker 6: Okay, don't look at the cast list, because it was
- 10:01Speaker 6: really fun when it came up.
- 10:02Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Nice. Have you been streaming anything fun?
- 10:07Speaker 3: Yeah? I was streaming and I think it was Nope,
- 10:11Speaker 3: I'm wrong. It was a Hulu. I was gonna say,
- 10:12Speaker 3: I think it was The Next as well, or now
- 10:15Speaker 3: it's HBO again, it doesn't matter. This was on Hulu,
- 10:19Speaker 3: so I'm glad I brought that up. It was a
- 10:21Speaker 3: movie called Attack the Block, which I think you've seen.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Have you ever seen that one?
- 10:28Speaker 2: I haven't even heard.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Oh I thought we had talked about this and you've
- 10:31Speaker 3: seen it. This is John Boyega. It was his like
- 10:35Speaker 3: first movie or first beer movie. It was in twenty eleven,
- 10:40Speaker 3: and it's sort of a space invadery kind of thing.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Boyega and his crew are like they're in London and
- 10:50Speaker 3: they're kind of like hoodlum me kind of folks. You know,
- 10:52Speaker 3: they're out on the streets running around like a sort
- 10:55Speaker 3: of pseudo gang, and then an alien invasion happens and
- 10:59Speaker 3: all hell breaks loose and it's actually pretty fun. It's
- 11:02Speaker 3: a pretty fun movie. There's definitely some violence, happening in it.
- 11:06Speaker 3: It's definitely like a lower budget movie. But I had
- 11:10Speaker 3: a good time watching it. I thought it was pretty.
- 11:12Speaker 3: It was like a fun, stylized, you know, sort of
- 11:15Speaker 3: up and coming kind of movie. I think I should
- 11:19Speaker 3: I should check.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It was twenty eleven, Yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yeah, twenty eleven. Yeah. The budget was thirteen million, which
- 11:26Speaker 3: in real people dollars is a ton of money, but
- 11:28Speaker 3: not for movies like that's not that crazy, ye, but yeah.
- 11:32Speaker 6: I thought it was pretty has the mom in broad Church?
- 11:35Speaker 6: I feel like I haven't seen her in anything.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Except for that.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Oh wait is that the.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Her name is Jody Whittaker. She was second mill done.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Oh fun. I didn't know she was in proNT Church.
- 11:46Speaker 2: That's fun.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, she's great in this movie as well. But yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 3: it's it's really fun. If you're looking for sort of
- 11:53Speaker 3: a stylized monster flick, I think you like it.
- 11:57Speaker 2: It's fun, cool, nice.
- 12:00Speaker 3: What have you been streaming?
- 12:01Speaker 6: I finally got around to watching the first season of
- 12:04Speaker 6: Bad Sisters on Apple TV Plus. Was that it was
- 12:08Speaker 6: pretty great, dude. The only person I knew in it
- 12:11Speaker 6: going into it was Sharon Horgan. She was the lady
- 12:15Speaker 6: in Game Night. She'd been in a bunch.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Of other things.
- 12:18Speaker 6: But she was the Irish lady in Game Night if
- 12:21Speaker 6: you remember.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, she's cream. Yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 6: But she is extremely talented and she was one of
- 12:26Speaker 6: the creators of this show. It's set in Ireland and
- 12:30Speaker 6: in particular Malahide, which is pretty cool fun for those
- 12:37Speaker 6: who don't know, that was where my wife and I
- 12:39Speaker 6: got married. Yeah, and they even had one scene in Gibney's.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Oh that's fun.
- 12:45Speaker 2: That's the bar where we had our grooms dinner.
- 12:47Speaker 6: And yeah, we all hung out at gibney Is the
- 12:50Speaker 6: first time we were all out.
- 12:51Speaker 2: There was so much fun.
- 12:53Speaker 3: A few times.
- 12:54Speaker 6: Yeah, even watched the Vikings game there. Yeah, they were
- 12:57Speaker 6: playing and I was were on.
- 12:59Speaker 3: The first trip at that guy and he was like, oh,
- 13:01Speaker 3: it's twelve or thirteen towsands people or so, and I
- 13:04Speaker 3: was like, I love it here, I love it. This
- 13:06Speaker 3: is amazing great.
- 13:09Speaker 2: But this show, it's it's about this group of five sisters.
- 13:13Speaker 6: One of them is married to an absolute monster and
- 13:17Speaker 6: the other four of them then plot to kill him
- 13:21Speaker 6: for the sake of their sister. Wow, and funny things
- 13:24Speaker 6: happen along the way. It's definitely a dark comedy.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Yeah, very cool.
- 13:29Speaker 6: I really enjoyed it. I flew through that first season nice.
- 13:34Speaker 6: I started the first episode of the second season, and
- 13:37Speaker 6: it kind of seemed like it might not have like
- 13:39Speaker 6: the magic that.
- 13:40Speaker 2: The first season had.
- 13:42Speaker 6: Sure, so I'm not sure if I'm going to keep
- 13:43Speaker 6: up with it just after watching the first episode, but
- 13:48Speaker 6: I really enjoyed the first season.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Very cool, very cool. So maybe just.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Watched the first one that it's a good one and
- 13:55Speaker 2: done really.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Love it, very very fun. What do you think do
- 14:00Speaker 3: if you plug a room?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Let's plug it up.

- 15:48Speaker 3: decided we had to get I don't know. He's not
- 15:51Speaker 3: a drunk Actually, do any of us drink? No, we're

- 16:23Speaker 6: Yes, dude, yes, yes, but we just brought up the
- 16:28Speaker 6: Oregon Getaway and our intro we were talking about how
- 16:30Speaker 6: we did a little episode there.
- 16:32Speaker 2: The people here have already heard it, yeah, but we haven't.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Strangely enough, time is Sweird's weird? It's a flat circle,
- 16:40Speaker 3: it is. I haven't had it yet, but I'm excited.
- 16:44Speaker 3: It was super fun. How are you? How are you recovering?
- 16:47Speaker 3: After all that?
- 16:49Speaker 7: I feel recovered And it's a journey into and out
- 16:53Speaker 7: of it, but always worth it. I feel like every
- 16:56Speaker 7: year is just a little bit better and got some
- 16:58Speaker 7: new new things we've tried and be with and so
- 17:01Speaker 7: already starting to plan for next year.
- 17:03Speaker 3: I love that, and keep a lookout timpos music dot
- 17:07Speaker 3: com or any various social medias as where that will
- 17:10Speaker 3: be announced. I'm sure those dates will be.
- 17:13Speaker 7: It'll be early August again, just doing the little final
- 17:16Speaker 7: touches on which one works best.
- 17:18Speaker 6: Totally, totally, that's highly recommend It was so much fun.
- 17:21Speaker 6: It was my first time being there. You just have
- 17:25Speaker 6: such a beautiful property. It's there, It's gorgeous out there.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah. I can't can't recommend it more so please check
- 17:34Speaker 2: it out.
- 17:35Speaker 7: Fun to share it. Like I said, there's always special
- 17:37Speaker 7: things and surprises that happened. So yeah, we we like
- 17:40Speaker 7: to do that, and I'll also recover from it.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yes, right for sure. Uh and I think we should
- 17:47Speaker 3: just force everyone's hand. We're going to be there next
- 17:49Speaker 3: year too, suck it, we have you have to invi this. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 3: we got him, Rob, right, got him good? I should
- 17:57Speaker 3: have asked yes on as everyone says.
- 18:01Speaker 2: We all know, we all say that, yes.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Well, very cool. We're here to tackle little Miller's crossing fellas,
- 18:10Speaker 3: and I think we should just get right into what
- 18:12Speaker 3: do you think, Rob? You want to hit us with
- 18:13Speaker 3: the rough synopsis, Yes, I do okay.
- 18:17Speaker 6: When the Italian mafia threatens to kill a crooked bookie,
- 18:20Speaker 6: Irish mob boss Leo O'Bannon refuses to allow it, chiefly
- 18:25Speaker 6: because he's dating the bookie's sister, crafty.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Gun mole Verna Burnbaum.
- 18:32Speaker 6: Leo's right hand man Tom Reagan is also seeing Verna
- 18:36Speaker 6: on the sly, and when he's found out, is obliged
- 18:40Speaker 6: to switch sides, going to work for the Italian mob
- 18:43Speaker 6: amidst a dramatically escalating gang war over liquor distribution.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Very nice. I've never heard the gun moll word before.
- 18:54Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 18:55Speaker 2: It's two different words.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, phrase, I should say, yes, Yes, it's an
- 19:00Speaker 3: earliest nineteen hundred slang for female companion. I'm sure everybody
- 19:04Speaker 3: knew that. Yeah I did.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yeah, me too when I wrote this.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Great job, bro.
- 19:10Speaker 7: It pops up sometimes in those like film noir. Yeah,
- 19:13Speaker 7: that makes a black widowing type.
- 19:16Speaker 3: That makes sense. Huh. Maybe it's because a woman like
- 19:20Speaker 3: that would scare me, and I wouldn't know what to do.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Oh scared, so scary, I wouldn't be a good gangster.
- 19:27Speaker 3: I just like everybody's cool, that's all. It's all just
- 19:29Speaker 3: get out of here.
- 19:29Speaker 7: Don't trust her brother.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Her brother's a snake. Let's go to rotten to bottles
- 19:36Speaker 3: near with theys to say, critics like this movie a
- 19:39Speaker 3: fair bit. They're at a rock solid ninety three percent.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Critics like this movie.
- 19:44Speaker 3: It's pretty good. Audience members right behind him at ninety percent.
- 19:47Speaker 2: So audiences love this movie.
- 19:51Speaker 3: I was, yeah, I guess I didn't know what to
- 19:53Speaker 3: expect from that, but.
- 19:54Speaker 2: That's very Hi, why why not?
- 19:58Speaker 3: I don't know. Let's get into what we think. It's
- 20:00Speaker 3: time for our hot take. That's a hot take. That's
- 20:05Speaker 3: a hot take, spicy.
- 20:08Speaker 2: There's a fire going on downstairs.
- 20:10Speaker 6: I'm gonna jump out of the window and then I'm
- 20:12Speaker 6: gonna get my Tommy gun and then I'm gonna shoot people.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yeah, hot, hot hat, I will go first. I thought
- 20:21Speaker 3: this was my first time seeing this movie. I think
- 20:23Speaker 3: I've actually seen it before. I think it's my second
- 20:25Speaker 3: time because things. You know, what did it for me
- 20:30Speaker 3: was the smoke rolling up through his floorboards. I was like,
- 20:34Speaker 3: I think I've seen this very thing before.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Maybe I've just seen that scene before.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Now, because I keep lists, you know, of the movies
- 20:41Speaker 3: I watch, so I searched it and I watched it
- 20:43Speaker 3: back in twenty eighteen.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Oh okay, so it's been a long time. What did
- 20:48Speaker 2: you rate it on IMDb? Did you not rate it?
- 20:50Speaker 3: I didn't rate it because I was a little behind
- 20:53Speaker 3: the times. Now, okay, okay, and I have rated it
- 20:56Speaker 3: now and I gave it seven. That was a really
- 21:00Speaker 3: good movie. I thought, I'm a little conservative with the ratings.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I try not to go too crazy.
- 21:06Speaker 2: You do.
- 21:07Speaker 6: You just gave Leelo and Stitch Remake a nine, and
- 21:10Speaker 6: you give Miller's.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Like I said, I'm a pragmatic man and I with
- 21:17Speaker 3: bold for the movies. I don't know what you damn it.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I wish I wouldn't have said both of those ratings
- 21:27Speaker 3: in the same episode. Now they know I'm all of it.
- 21:32Speaker 3: They already knew. I like this movie a lot. I
- 21:34Speaker 3: will admit it is a bit slow for me at points.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Those kind of like film Noiry kind of movies are
- 21:44Speaker 3: not my all time favorite. We lost it was good.
- 21:48Speaker 2: That was good.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Stitch got a nine, all right. I don't know why
- 21:53Speaker 3: we had to call each other out, but I really
- 21:56Speaker 3: the parts of this movie I liked. I liked a
- 21:58Speaker 3: ton I think you see, like the first of the
- 22:01Speaker 3: Cohen Brothers. Maybe not the first, but we really start
- 22:04Speaker 3: getting tastes of their like very silly dialogue they put
- 22:08Speaker 3: into very serious situations, which is part of my favorite
- 22:12Speaker 3: things about them. We got double crosses, we got sceptfuge.
- 22:17Speaker 3: I love how they can and I'm sure people have
- 22:19Speaker 3: talked about this, but they somehow write dialogue that makes
- 22:23Speaker 3: total sense and feels supernatural, even though it's slang no
- 22:27Speaker 3: one uses anymore, you know, like yeah, and they find
- 22:30Speaker 3: a way to just make it be like, well, yeah, obviously,
- 22:33Speaker 3: like you know, like scram Kid or you know, I
- 22:36Speaker 3: wrote down a bunch of them, but yeah, yeah, just
- 22:39Speaker 3: super cili, Yeah, what's the rumpus? Stuff like that that
- 22:43Speaker 3: just seems so normal and perfect, but also it's definitely not,
- 22:46Speaker 3: which I just love that about them. I think it's
- 22:49Speaker 3: really great. Yeah, I like this movie a lot. I
- 22:53Speaker 3: think it's really fun. I probably should bump it up
- 22:55Speaker 3: from a seven given my calling out that has happened,
- 23:03Speaker 3: But yeah, I don't think I have any like too
- 23:05Speaker 3: crazy hot of takes. I bet this is a movie
- 23:08Speaker 3: though that does get better and better the more you
- 23:10Speaker 3: watch it, because there it's pretty like gnarled up, so
- 23:14Speaker 3: I could see that being more fun, you know, on
- 23:16Speaker 3: your multiple you watches, Absolutely, dude, But I really did
- 23:20Speaker 3: enjoy it. I think it's a really fun period piece.
- 23:22Speaker 6: That's a hot take, buddy, hat I had a lot
- 23:26Speaker 6: of those same takes. I always really enjoyed this film.
- 23:29Speaker 6: I've seen this a few times. This was the third
- 23:33Speaker 6: film from the Cohen's after Blood, Simple and Raising Arizona.
- 23:36Speaker 6: So very early on and the Cohen Rip felt like
- 23:41Speaker 6: a gangster film mixed with a crime noir.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I really liked that. There's so much to love about
- 23:48Speaker 2: this film.
- 23:49Speaker 6: The characters they've created, the dialogue, Like you said, the
- 23:53Speaker 6: score from Carter Burwell is so hauntingly beautiful. Yeah, just
- 24:00Speaker 6: going I love it. The cinematography from Barry Sonenfeld, who
- 24:06Speaker 6: he then became.
- 24:07Speaker 2: A big director right after this.
- 24:10Speaker 6: He made this in ninety and then he directed his
- 24:13Speaker 6: own his first film, I think it was The Adams.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Family in ninety one. Oh nice, and then he just
- 24:19Speaker 2: hasn't looked back. Cool this film. Like like you.
- 24:24Speaker 6: Had said, a lot of the Coen Brothers films are
- 24:28Speaker 6: probably better after a second watch. Sure, I felt that
- 24:31Speaker 6: way about this, just because they go right into the
- 24:34Speaker 6: main plot of the story. With dialogue explaining a bunch
- 24:37Speaker 6: of things that happened to a bunch of people we
- 24:40Speaker 6: haven't even met yet, which I could imagine would be
- 24:44Speaker 6: confusing right away for folks. But I do love that
- 24:47Speaker 6: the Cohens they don't dumb it down. They just do
- 24:50Speaker 6: their thing. It's very specific, it's very stylized. It's not
- 24:55Speaker 6: my absolute favorite Cohen Brothers film because they've just done
- 24:59Speaker 6: so many amazing things. Yeah, but it's definitely up towards
- 25:03Speaker 6: the top of the list, and it's one that I
- 25:05Speaker 6: really enjoy and appreciate.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Very cool.
- 25:08Speaker 6: Hot take that's about as hot as it gets for me, Abe,
- 25:12Speaker 6: what's your hot take?
- 25:14Speaker 7: Well, this is my favorite Coen Brothers movie.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Tape.
- 25:20Speaker 7: Indeed, you know it's sometimes I like to delineate between
- 25:24Speaker 7: favorite and best, and I think I could easily argue
- 25:28Speaker 7: some other com Brothers ones is as better artistically, you know,
- 25:31Speaker 7: and just hitting a better like report card, But this
- 25:36Speaker 7: one's my favorite. And love that all the things you said,
- 25:39Speaker 7: you know, that dialogue, it feels like you're almost a
- 25:42Speaker 7: step behind sometimes and you're catching the last line and
- 25:44Speaker 7: the other one's already going like you're running down a hill.
- 25:46Speaker 7: Quick quite get your feet underneath you. And so there's
- 25:48Speaker 7: there's a thrillingness to that the dialog. Like you said,
- 25:52Speaker 7: they almost create their own language there, and it's I
- 25:55Speaker 7: noticed this time. I was like, why is it working?
- 25:57Speaker 7: And they repeat it in different context sometimes and sudden
- 26:01Speaker 7: you kind of figure out what the rump is is
- 26:05Speaker 7: based on the context. You give me the high hat.
- 26:07Speaker 7: You see it use a few different times you're like, Okay,
- 26:09Speaker 7: I feel like I can say that now and and
- 26:12Speaker 7: I will drop those is like inside jokes myself basically
- 26:15Speaker 7: sometimes or my wife, I'll bug her with it. Stop
- 26:18Speaker 7: giving me the high hat. Give So it's it's fun
- 26:24Speaker 7: to they create. It's almost like a fantasy as much
- 26:26Speaker 7: as the other genres you mentioned as well, because it is,
- 26:29Speaker 7: you know, in this unspecified city with this different language,
- 26:32Speaker 7: and there's these little twists on these characters that don't
- 26:34Speaker 7: quite hit those tropes as much as other more classic
- 26:38Speaker 7: gangster movies do.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Love that very cool, and.
- 26:42Speaker 7: So that makes it very rewatchable as well, for all
- 26:45Speaker 7: those reasons.
- 26:45Speaker 3: I think for sure, love that love that hot. Take
- 26:49Speaker 3: hat so hot? All right, Well, Miller's crossing, not Lelone's stitch.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I think that's but it is pretty good. It's pretty good.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Damn well, hot takes all around. I love it. Maybe
- 27:03Speaker 3: it's time to go in. Shall we pick our favorite
- 27:06Speaker 3: acting performance?
- 27:06Speaker 2: Shall we name the dude the dude?
- 27:10Speaker 8: I'm the dude, So that's what you call me, you
- 27:13Speaker 8: know that? Or his dudeness or duder or you know,
- 27:19Speaker 8: eldudo reno. If you're not into the whole brevity thing.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Right, what do you got for your favorite actor?
- 27:23Speaker 2: It's named after another Coen Brothers.
- 27:27Speaker 7: Yes, I would be mad at myself if I didn't
- 27:33Speaker 7: go with the obvious Gabriel Burn there. You know, it's
- 27:37Speaker 7: such an iconic character I feel like, and the way
- 27:39Speaker 7: he plays it, he really becomes that character. You forget
- 27:43Speaker 7: that he's acting. I do, at least, And you know
- 27:45Speaker 7: it's just I buy in completely. I can identify maybe
- 27:50Speaker 7: some of my character flaws and him sometimes too, and
- 27:53Speaker 7: so that I think sinks his hooks a little deeper,
- 27:55Speaker 7: like I might do that in his position as well,
- 27:57Speaker 7: And so it's a real I don't know if it's
- 28:00Speaker 7: quite like an anti hero, but it's a it's a
- 28:03Speaker 7: flawed human.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Extremely flawed. Yes, Yes, I love that nice.
- 28:10Speaker 6: Yeah, that is great. I went with John Polito as
- 28:16Speaker 6: Johnny Casper.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Fun.
- 28:19Speaker 6: It's such a Coen Brothers character. He's doing so much.
- 28:24Speaker 6: He gets so sweaty every time he gets worked up.
- 28:29Speaker 6: I love his interesting morals where he like really respects
- 28:33Speaker 6: loyalty and ethics while he's mad that somebody is getting
- 28:38Speaker 6: in on his fixed fight. I just love that conundrum.
- 28:44Speaker 6: And he even goes against his right hand man, the Dane,
- 28:47Speaker 6: because he had even suggested that they double crossed tom
- 28:52Speaker 6: So into loyalty.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I was. I thought he was just wonderful. Love that.
- 29:01Speaker 3: That's who I picked to Rob as well. I thought
- 29:05Speaker 3: I was picking a crazy one.
- 29:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Now.
- 29:06Speaker 3: The one that there was a couple of scenes that
- 29:09Speaker 3: really convinced me. One was when he like looks like
- 29:12Speaker 3: he's gonna pop up blood that's all because he's so mad.
- 29:15Speaker 3: And then he's like, you know, that whole thing is
- 29:18Speaker 3: so funny, And then and it's not, you know, I
- 29:21Speaker 3: get it right, Like the violence and kids understandable. But
- 29:25Speaker 3: when he slaps his son and he's like, what's mad
- 29:29Speaker 3: or did someone hit you?
- 29:31Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 29:31Speaker 3: Right, that was so funny to me, Just like you
- 29:35Speaker 3: have to be firm with him, you know, I agree,
- 29:41Speaker 3: he just was he was just chewing scenery. Dude. He
- 29:43Speaker 3: was having a great time, and I really liked it.
- 29:47Speaker 3: But you know, Gabriel Burn, obviously.
- 29:49Speaker 2: It was Gabriel Burn.
- 29:50Speaker 6: Obviously, it's it's my favorite performance of his in all
- 29:54Speaker 6: of his.
- 29:56Speaker 3: And he's done a bunch of stuff.
- 29:57Speaker 6: He's done a bunch of things, but this is my
- 29:59Speaker 6: favorite Gabriel Burn performance for sure.
- 30:02Speaker 3: He's really great.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of good performances.
- 30:05Speaker 6: Though, why don't we go ahead and let's uh, let's
- 30:08Speaker 6: pick the two g how.
- 30:12Speaker 3: About for that? What do you get for the tea?
- 30:15Speaker 7: Well? I I vacillated over sure picking Bolito as well,
- 30:22Speaker 7: the Johnny Casper character. I he was sort of a
- 30:24Speaker 7: semi lead, semi supporting, but he was on screen a lot,
- 30:28Speaker 7: so but I went with John Traturo playing Bernie Burnbaum's
- 30:32Speaker 7: so good, Johnson, I just love yeah, speaking of becoming
- 30:37Speaker 7: the character and just seeing his range just across other
- 30:40Speaker 7: Colin Brothers movies much everything else he's doing is it's
- 30:44Speaker 7: really fun to see a master at work like that.
- 30:47Speaker 7: And I just noticed how how stressed I am every
- 30:50Speaker 7: time he's in a scene because because of those morals
- 30:53Speaker 7: and that lack of and it's like he's there's something
- 30:56Speaker 7: going on here, someone's in danger because he is only
- 30:59Speaker 7: looking out for himself. Yeah, and it just keeps on
- 31:02Speaker 7: getting more and more intense.
- 31:04Speaker 3: He's the perfect like slimy dude, you know, just like
- 31:09Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 31:11Speaker 2: I absolutely picked him to say somebody else. Though.
- 31:14Speaker 6: Albert Finney is wonderful in this as Leo Bannon. I
- 31:19Speaker 6: love him and everything, but I love this. I love
- 31:25Speaker 6: how he's just like this tough mob boss, but he's
- 31:29Speaker 6: vulnerable in one spot. And it's where he's totally smitten
- 31:32Speaker 6: with the lady, who's the kind of a lady of
- 31:35Speaker 6: the night. Do we think that there is she just promiscuous.
- 31:39Speaker 6: I think she's just promiscuous. I don't think she's charging. Okay,
- 31:42Speaker 6: she's using her.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Body for gain though, I guess so you.
- 31:46Speaker 7: Know, yeah it's transactional, if not financially.
- 31:50Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly, so maybe so, but you pretty much come
- 31:54Speaker 6: out the gate with you know, he's this like tough dude,
- 31:57Speaker 6: but he's like immediately vulnerable because he's you know, wanting
- 32:01Speaker 6: to stick up for his lady's brother because he doesn't
- 32:05Speaker 6: want to make her mad.
- 32:08Speaker 2: But then you really find out that you know.
- 32:10Speaker 6: Why he's that mob boss because he's so tough, and
- 32:15Speaker 6: I loved those scenes.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Those are my favorite ones. So yeah, Albert Finney's.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Great, love that great picks all around. I would have
- 32:23Speaker 3: definitely picked both of them. Marcia gay Harden, We've mentioned
- 32:27Speaker 3: her a couple of times in passing. She's great in
- 32:29Speaker 3: this movie. I thought, very like, super hard to pin down,
- 32:34Speaker 3: you know, as far as who her allegiances lie with.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Really she's got a little bit of I.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Was gonna say it didn't seem like she was very
- 32:40Speaker 2: hard to pin down.
- 32:42Speaker 3: If you have some to offer. I was going to
- 32:47Speaker 3: say she got a little bit of her brother in her,
- 32:49Speaker 3: But I meant they're both, you know, kind of slimy,
- 32:53Speaker 3: you know, they're looking out for themselves.
- 32:56Speaker 2: She's a sick twist.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Yeah, indeed, I thought she was pretty great in this. Honestly,
- 33:01Speaker 3: she was really fun. It was a good time. Also,
- 33:04Speaker 3: shout out to Mike Starr, Yes from he was He's
- 33:11Speaker 3: a perfect gangster, you know, like muscle own guy.
- 33:16Speaker 6: When he's supposed to beat up Tom and Tom immediately
- 33:20Speaker 6: gets the chair on him and he's just like, Jesus.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Tom, what are you doing? Man? I loved it.
- 33:34Speaker 6: I did not remember that Francis McDormand was in this movie.
- 33:38Speaker 6: I mean, granted it was about three seconds on screen,
- 33:41Speaker 6: but still, I did not remember that. And Steve is Mink.
- 33:46Speaker 6: We love Steve.
- 33:48Speaker 3: He's not in it very long, Michael, he's not in
- 33:51Speaker 3: it super long either.
- 33:52Speaker 2: No, he's not.
- 33:53Speaker 6: But dude, Steve was getting those lines out. I was
- 33:57Speaker 6: just like, how is he saying this this fat so fast?
- 34:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I was shocked.
- 34:04Speaker 7: When I was diving into the trivia, they mentioned that
- 34:06Speaker 7: that was one of the big reasons he was cast
- 34:09Speaker 7: was because he could deliver those lines so quickly.
- 34:11Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 34:12Speaker 6: That's so funny that, dude, he's another guy in each
- 34:15Speaker 6: Coen Brothers movie.
- 34:16Speaker 3: He gets to show off his range. That guy is
- 34:19Speaker 3: so impressive. Love working with them because they're just like,
- 34:22Speaker 3: you never know what they're gonna have you do. It's
- 34:24Speaker 3: gonna be something weird, but it's gonna be fun. Yeah.
- 34:28Speaker 6: I also love that we get to see Michael battle.
- 34:31Speaker 6: Luco is Casper's driver, and the big thing I know
- 34:35Speaker 6: him from is in O Brother or Art though he's
- 34:38Speaker 6: the the cry baby.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Yeah alcohol yes, yes, no, baby face, baby face.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Nelson, baby face Nelson.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Yes.
- 34:51Speaker 2: So it's always fun seeing him.
- 34:53Speaker 7: One of my most inappropriate laughs in the theater was
- 34:56Speaker 7: in that movie and when you play baby Face and
- 34:58Speaker 7: he shut up that cow, and I was just.
- 35:00Speaker 3: It's so funny, dude. I mean it's so bad, but
- 35:03Speaker 3: it's so funny.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, that's a good one.
- 35:09Speaker 6: That was not the people I wrote down. Anybody else?
- 35:10Speaker 6: Want to talk about anybody else?
- 35:12Speaker 3: I didn't have anyone else.
- 35:13Speaker 7: I went a little weird. And the other ones that
- 35:15Speaker 7: I listed is, you know, runners up were the musical
- 35:18Speaker 7: theme by Carter Burwell has its own character, the hat
- 35:22Speaker 7: so good call that.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 35:26Speaker 7: Each of those things felt like they were playing a
- 35:28Speaker 7: role and adding to the acting of the scenes, and
- 35:31Speaker 7: it is a whole new dimension love that.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Also, Sam Raimi is in this movie. Did you see
- 35:38Speaker 3: that as like a gun they say, the snickering gunman. Yeah.
- 35:43Speaker 3: I didn't recognize him, but I was like, oh, that's weird, Okay,
- 35:47Speaker 3: super weird. That's bad.
- 35:50Speaker 2: It's fun.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Uh well cool? Should we go and talk about a
- 35:54Speaker 3: favorite scene? Shall we name the danga?
- 35:57Speaker 2: The dings is quite simple, dingus, dingus.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I can talk about my dingus all night long.
- 36:05Speaker 7: Hey, what do you got for the Dingas for the Dingus,
- 36:08Speaker 7: I went with the second walk into the woods into
- 36:12Speaker 7: Miller's crossing good for me when they're they're looking for
- 36:17Speaker 7: Bernie Burnbaum's body and he's going to die if they
- 36:19Speaker 7: don't find it. He knows it's not there, and so
- 36:22Speaker 7: you're really in Tom's shoes in that scene and in
- 36:26Speaker 7: a twist that you know, not no pun intended that
- 36:29Speaker 7: you didn't see coming, right, Like, yeah, really iconic for me,
- 36:33Speaker 7: and just something that you know, if I'm flipping through
- 36:36Speaker 7: the channels and that that's on, that's there's no way
- 36:38Speaker 7: I'm going to turn away from that.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that was intense for sure.
- 36:43Speaker 3: He's like getting more and more on. You know, he's
- 36:46Speaker 3: unrattling in front of us because he's just like, well,
- 36:49Speaker 3: I'm screwed, this is over.
- 36:50Speaker 2: It's over, you know.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:52Speaker 7: I love that he is dead in his mind.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a great scene.
- 37:00Speaker 6: When I think of this movie, I think of the
- 37:03Speaker 6: Danny Boys scene. Dude, I mean it's so incredible. Albert
- 37:11Speaker 6: Finnie's lying in bed enjoying a cigar. He can smell
- 37:15Speaker 6: the smoke that's coming from downstairs after his henchman is killed,
- 37:19Speaker 6: and his lit cigarette lights there starts a fire. Then
- 37:24Speaker 6: the pan down to him putting on his slippers is
- 37:27Speaker 6: so great, grabbing his gun, going under the bed, shooting
- 37:31Speaker 6: the guy, then jumping out the window, really shooting that
- 37:35Speaker 6: guy more than he needed to the shaking of that guy.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Just so much fun.
- 37:44Speaker 6: And then just you know, getting the people in the
- 37:46Speaker 6: getaway car too, and he is just a badass, like
- 37:50Speaker 6: Albert Finnie Man and the whole time Danny Boys in
- 37:54Speaker 6: the background just like not the song you expect beautiful, just.
- 38:00Speaker 3: So pure and lovely.
- 38:02Speaker 6: Yes, and just Tommy guns agoing. I love that scene
- 38:08Speaker 6: a lot.
- 38:09Speaker 3: That is a great one. That's the one I picked
- 38:12Speaker 3: for sure. I love the walk into the woods. Also
- 38:15Speaker 3: another scene that I love, and it's probably should have
- 38:18Speaker 3: mentioned this, Gid maybe we did. But the guy who's
- 38:21Speaker 3: like not the police chief, but the the police guy
- 38:25Speaker 3: that talks to Tom the two times they come into
- 38:28Speaker 3: like the alternate people's you know spots, he's just like
- 38:32Speaker 3: he's so cordial. And I love that scene where he's
- 38:34Speaker 3: just like, hey, Tom, how's it going, you know, like
- 38:39Speaker 3: in the background. Yeah, It's so great when he's just like, oh,
- 38:43Speaker 3: we're just here doing our business again, you know, it's great,
- 38:46Speaker 3: Like it's just really fun. I love that guy had
- 38:49Speaker 3: such a good delivery of his lines on both of
- 38:52Speaker 3: those scenes where we see that and then he goes
- 38:54Speaker 3: and talks to the chief and it's super fun. But
- 38:56Speaker 3: just those like the chaos and then and then I'm
- 39:00Speaker 3: just like talking like they're at a they work in
- 39:02Speaker 3: an office and they're just seeing each other at the
- 39:04Speaker 3: water blooler or something. It's really a fun juxtaposition. I
- 39:07Speaker 3: like that a lot.
- 39:08Speaker 2: So that's fun.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that what other scenes do we have?
- 39:12Speaker 3: Anybody got an upben?
- 39:17Speaker 7: The one that jumped out of me this watch was
- 39:19Speaker 7: when he confronts when Tom fronts Verna in the ladies
- 39:23Speaker 7: room and you know, not not a place used to
- 39:25Speaker 7: that type of thing happening. Just the dialogue back and
- 39:28Speaker 7: forth and at the end when she says, I bet
- 39:31Speaker 7: you think you've raised Hell, and there's a nice pause
- 39:34Speaker 7: and she's walking away and he says, when I raise Hell,
- 39:37Speaker 7: you'll know it. Yeah, just like it feels kind of stereotypical,
- 39:41Speaker 7: but not not as well, Like it's just like perfect,
- 39:45Speaker 7: nailed the line, nailed the words, and you know you
- 39:48Speaker 7: have the broken mirror on the side there and you know,
- 39:51Speaker 7: you can tell that they have these very complicated feelings
- 39:53Speaker 7: for each other. So it's just like a couple of
- 39:55Speaker 7: prize fighters going at it alone.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Which is.
- 40:02Speaker 6: One little nitpicky thing about that one, which is dumb.
- 40:05Speaker 6: But he throws the glass, it hits the mirror. It's
- 40:10Speaker 6: specifically broken in one spot in the top left, and
- 40:14Speaker 6: then we go back and the mirror is broken differently,
- 40:18Speaker 6: Just like, why did we need to rebreak the I don't.
- 40:21Speaker 6: I just I just don't get it. And it distracted
- 40:24Speaker 6: me because I noticed dumb things like that.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Sorry, it symbolizes, you know, we can feel broken and
- 40:36Speaker 3: it's different from day to day.
- 40:38Speaker 7: Don't your expectations were shattered?
- 40:40Speaker 6: Another runner up I also had the End of the Woods.
- 40:46Speaker 2: But another runner up I had was just the opening scene.
- 40:50Speaker 6: And they're just so good at character building, just right
- 40:54Speaker 6: out the gate, like we know so much from that
- 40:57Speaker 6: conversation and the die log is so good, and yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 6: I just I thought that was a fun way to
- 41:03Speaker 6: start start out the movie.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Also, the scene where he's like basically punching him to
- 41:09Speaker 3: his entire house is pretty fun. That's pretty Yeah, there's
- 41:14Speaker 3: all those dudes there just keeps hitting him downstairs and things.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I like that too, well, a lot of good dialogue.
- 41:26Speaker 6: Like we said so much, I think we should pick
- 41:29Speaker 6: some of her favorite quotes, and let's.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Show me the money, Show me the money, show me.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Your first.
- 41:43Speaker 7: My favorite quote today from this movie was Tom Gabriel
- 41:48Speaker 7: Burns saying, no, it stayed a hat, talking about the
- 41:52Speaker 7: dream he's talking to Verna with and she thinks she's,
- 41:56Speaker 7: you know, symbolized this thing he's chasing and turned to
- 41:57Speaker 7: something else and he just turns dry Alien says, no,
- 42:01Speaker 7: it's day a hat in the dream. It's really neat
- 42:05Speaker 7: because you know, there's a lot of a lot of
- 42:08Speaker 7: like ground there to analyze that hat and what it symbolizes,
- 42:12Speaker 7: and you know, whether it's his morality, which I like
- 42:15Speaker 7: that idea he takes it off, puts it back on.
- 42:17Speaker 7: He's got these slight morals and things like that. And
- 42:22Speaker 7: it's also a reference to a quote that gets like
- 42:25Speaker 7: misattributed to Freud sometimes, but you know the phrase sometimes
- 42:29Speaker 7: the banana is just a banana, which I love using
- 42:32Speaker 7: that too, and it's you know, got that Freudian aspect
- 42:34Speaker 7: to it. And sometimes a hat is just a hat,
- 42:37Speaker 7: which also implies sometimes it's not right, and so I
- 42:41Speaker 7: love that abstractness of Coen Brothers movies in general, and
- 42:45Speaker 7: here where you can assign meaning to it that might
- 42:48Speaker 7: be even better than they would have. You know, you'll
- 42:50Speaker 7: hear about sometimes bands saying, oh, well, people's take on
- 42:53Speaker 7: my lyrics are much better than my actual intention for it.
- 42:56Speaker 7: And I love that about art in general, abstract art,
- 42:59Speaker 7: which I feel like this is, and you get to
- 43:01Speaker 7: decide with the hat symbolizes they're not going to give
- 43:03Speaker 7: it to you. They're not going to spell it out
- 43:05Speaker 7: even after the fact, and so that's one of the
- 43:07Speaker 7: reasons I really love this movie.
- 43:08Speaker 3: That's fun. I actually read an article that said something
- 43:12Speaker 3: along the lines of the hat is control. It symbolizes control.
- 43:16Speaker 3: So like every time he thinks, you know, every time
- 43:20Speaker 3: someone else is determining his life, in control over his life.
- 43:24Speaker 3: They take his hat, and then he takes it back, right,
- 43:26Speaker 3: and the whole time he's trying to get it. And
- 43:29Speaker 3: of course there's that great line that's like, there's nothing
- 43:32Speaker 3: quite as dumb as a guy chasing after his hat
- 43:34Speaker 3: or something like that. You know, you know, the whole movie,
- 43:38Speaker 3: which is pretty fun, but I.
- 43:41Speaker 7: Like and you have the wind blowing it. So sometimes
- 43:42Speaker 7: there's forces that will you can't even control, and violence
- 43:47Speaker 7: will knock his hat off as well, you know, which
- 43:50Speaker 7: happens a few times.
- 43:52Speaker 3: I love that, nice, great pick. Do you have any
- 43:55Speaker 3: other quotes that you like from this?
- 43:58Speaker 7: I had if you there's just the like catchphrases that
- 44:02Speaker 7: we touched on. Yeah, what's the rumpus? Yeah, you're giving
- 44:05Speaker 7: me the high hat, go dangle. Yes, it's interesting to
- 44:10Speaker 7: just think about. I mean, the Coin brothers were probably
- 44:12Speaker 7: in their thirties when they made this movie, and just
- 44:14Speaker 7: their their command over language and you know, even creating
- 44:18Speaker 7: their own lexicon here is just incredible.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Nice love that.
- 44:25Speaker 6: Yeah, my favorite line in the whole thing is you
- 44:27Speaker 6: haven't bought any license to kill bookies, and today I
- 44:30Speaker 6: ain't selling any So take your flunky and dangle.
- 44:35Speaker 2: I love that so much.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Bernie groveling, look in your heart, Yeah, look in your heart?
- 44:46Speaker 3: And then that gets yeah, exacting so great that the
- 44:50Speaker 3: first time, Yeah.
- 44:51Speaker 6: It works the first time, not so great the second time,
- 44:55Speaker 6: showing off Tom being super sarcastic. The Dane is, how
- 45:01Speaker 6: do you get the fat lip? And he says, old
- 45:02Speaker 6: war wound acts up around morons.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Which I liked a lot.
- 45:08Speaker 3: That's great.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I also had it.
- 45:11Speaker 6: I'm stick of the high hat. What's the rumpus? Like
- 45:16Speaker 6: you said, Oh, Bernie, my own sister, some crackpot idea
- 45:20Speaker 6: about saving me from my friends.
- 45:22Speaker 2: She's a sick twist, all right.
- 45:24Speaker 6: She speaks highly of you. Yeah, well you stick by
- 45:27Speaker 6: your family.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so good. Oh and my favorite from Bernie is uh.
- 45:37Speaker 6: He's talking with Tom after he has uh. He let
- 45:43Speaker 6: him go in the woods, and then he meets him
- 45:45Speaker 6: at his house and he's being a wise guy. He's like,
- 45:50Speaker 6: don't smart me. See I want to watch you squirm.
- 45:53Speaker 6: I want to see you sweat a little. And when
- 45:55Speaker 6: you smart me, it ruins it. And he like, it's
- 45:58Speaker 6: almost about to cry. Don't you dare take this from me?
- 46:02Speaker 2: I love that is.
- 46:06Speaker 3: I probably could have said this for a scene. But
- 46:09Speaker 3: also when there's two times Tom walks in the room
- 46:14Speaker 3: when o'duell and the mayor are there and they're in
- 46:18Speaker 3: like the different guy's spots, you know, based on who's
- 46:21Speaker 3: doing well at the time. But the first time he's like,
- 46:23Speaker 3: hello Tommy, you know O duel and the mayor and
- 46:26Speaker 3: he's like, I voted for him six times less man
- 46:29Speaker 3: and that ain't the record neither. That was really fun.
- 46:36Speaker 3: I also love when he's like, what the hell's the
- 46:38Speaker 3: matter with you? What the hell's the matter with you?
- 46:40Speaker 3: Are you afraid people might get the right idea about you?
- 46:44Speaker 3: I just love that so much, you know, like flipping
- 46:47Speaker 3: that on its edge. Just fun. Oh. I found the
- 46:50Speaker 3: line that the cop says when he walks in one
- 46:53Speaker 3: of the Times and he's like hey Tom, and he's like, oh,
- 46:56Speaker 3: you're working hard tonight. He's like, well, neither rain nor
- 46:59Speaker 3: wind nor snow, you know, talks about that we're always here,
- 47:03Speaker 3: which is really fun. And then I loved well, how
- 47:07Speaker 3: do I know if I tell you won't kill me?
- 47:09Speaker 3: Because if I kill you and you lied to me,
- 47:11Speaker 3: then I wouldn't be able to kill you. Then perfect logic,
- 47:16Speaker 3: perfect logic, perfect loge. Oh but yeah, I loved all those.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Those were all the ones I wrote down other than
- 47:25Speaker 3: the slang stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah, really fun.
- 47:32Speaker 6: Nice. Well let's move on. Let's go to moments only
- 47:36Speaker 6: where the crying game. I don't think he cried. I
- 47:42Speaker 6: don't think he cried in this movie.
- 47:45Speaker 2: Interesting, yep.
- 47:47Speaker 7: I The two walks into the woods the first and
- 47:50Speaker 7: the second ones were the ones that I was trying
- 47:53Speaker 7: to pick. If I had to pick anything, you know,
- 47:56Speaker 7: someone's about to die in sort of an incrusome way,
- 47:59Speaker 7: maybe that I could.
- 48:02Speaker 6: But there's just so much cool stuff going on. There's
- 48:04Speaker 6: so much to look at, there's so much to focus on.
- 48:08Speaker 6: I feel like, I don't know, I don't know.
- 48:10Speaker 3: You're right, Rob, I didn't cry this one. I was surprised.
- 48:15Speaker 9: Yeah, I was like, there are some people dying, and
- 48:19Speaker 9: there's some spots that normally could have but like, yeah,
- 48:21Speaker 9: it's just so stylized and you're just like, I feel
- 48:24Speaker 9: like you're taking it in so much.
- 48:25Speaker 3: The tough to They don't give you a lot of
- 48:27Speaker 3: time to like stew and sentimentality at all either, you know,
- 48:31Speaker 3: really they're not going for that. I don't think you right, Yeah, right, Nope,
- 48:36Speaker 3: this one was a zero cry. Boom we territory, rare territory.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Let's do a little movie tibia, shall we?
- 48:45Speaker 2: Yes?
- 48:46Speaker 3: So, writers Joel and Ethan Cohen suffered writer's block while
- 48:49Speaker 3: writing this film. They took a three week break and
- 48:52Speaker 3: wrote all of Barton Fink, a film about a writer
- 48:56Speaker 3: with writer's block, and then came back to this movie,
- 49:00Speaker 3: and we see in homage that the name of Tom
- 49:04Speaker 3: Tom's residence is the Barton Arms. So I just thought
- 49:08Speaker 3: that was fun. And then there's a reference to seven
- 49:11Speaker 3: dead in a hotel fire, which is a reference to
- 49:13Speaker 3: Barton Fink. I don't think I've seen Barton Fink.
- 49:16Speaker 6: So I don't believe you anymore because apparently you just
- 49:19Speaker 6: have to watch a little bit and then you realize
- 49:21Speaker 6: he's hot.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fair, Uh, Steve Bouchammi we talked about he
- 49:26Speaker 3: was talking fast, that was why they catched him. That's fair.
- 49:31Speaker 3: I don't know. Let's see, although he was a native
- 49:35Speaker 3: Irishman playing a lieutenant to an Irish mobster, the Cones
- 49:38Speaker 3: didn't originally want Gabriel Byrne to use his own accent.
- 49:41Speaker 3: That was interesting, and he argued that the dialogue was
- 49:44Speaker 3: structured in such a way that it was a good
- 49:46Speaker 3: fit for the accent, and after he tried it, the
- 49:48Speaker 3: Cones eventually agreed.
- 49:50Speaker 6: That is surprising to me because it sounds like when
- 49:53Speaker 6: they get something in their head, they're like, no, this
- 49:56Speaker 6: is what we're doing.
- 49:57Speaker 3: They're not like the most collaborative team, you know what
- 50:00Speaker 3: I mean, Like they they have a definite thought and
- 50:04Speaker 3: the way they want to go with it, that's a
- 50:06Speaker 3: good call. But they ended up letting them use their
- 50:09Speaker 3: original accents, so that's fun. Bernie is referred to as
- 50:13Speaker 3: a schmata several times. A shmata is a Yiddish word
- 50:17Speaker 3: for an old rag, and was also used colloquially as
- 50:21Speaker 3: a label for things of quality or anything worth worthless.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Casper's use is of course derogatory, labeling Bernie worthless both
- 50:31Speaker 3: as a man and as a Jew. I just thought
- 50:33Speaker 3: that was interesting. I like the word schmata. Schmana fun
- 50:36Speaker 3: to say you, it's fun. John Polino was only thirty
- 50:44Speaker 3: nine years old when he played Johnny Casper, and he
- 50:48Speaker 3: was much older.
- 50:50Speaker 2: I think much older.
- 50:53Speaker 3: Poor guy. And actually he's the same age as Gabriel
- 50:57Speaker 3: Burn but yeah, they did not look the same age. Nope,
- 51:04Speaker 3: not even a little. So I just thought that was interesting.
- 51:08Speaker 2: I never knew this.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Did you guys know? The Coen Brothers reportedly turned down
- 51:13Speaker 3: Batman to make this movie. I didn't know that.
- 51:16Speaker 7: I just learned that.
- 51:17Speaker 2: That seems really.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Like when we turned down Batman and another giant film.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Make sure that at all.
- 51:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it would have been interesting. I really want to
- 51:31Speaker 3: see a Coen Brothers very interested.
- 51:35Speaker 2: I don't know, watch Brothers anything. Yeah, that would be interesting.
- 51:41Speaker 7: And says, what's the what's the rumps?
- 51:43Speaker 3: What's the robin go on and dangle Joka very silly.
- 51:53Speaker 3: In twenty fifteen, in an interview, John Polito revealed that
- 51:57Speaker 3: during the production, a distressed Marcia gave Harden, in her
- 52:01Speaker 3: first major role, complained to him that she felt the
- 52:04Speaker 3: co star Gabriel Byrne, was acting cold and distant towards her.
- 52:08Speaker 3: Polito believed that he was, you know, just trying to
- 52:11Speaker 3: remain in character for sake of their performance, and this
- 52:14Speaker 3: was never verified either way, so I thought I was like, oh,
- 52:18Speaker 3: he either was a buttthead or was method acting. I
- 52:21Speaker 3: guess that was funny. Cinematographer Barry Sonenfeld told the Coen
- 52:31Speaker 3: Brothers that the four scene should be shot during overcast
- 52:34Speaker 3: days only, but the brothers didn't want to delay the
- 52:37Speaker 3: filming based on weather, but they lucked out. On all
- 52:40Speaker 3: but one of the scheduled days they were shooting in
- 52:43Speaker 3: that location, it was overcast anyway, and Sonenfeld further muted
- 52:48Speaker 3: the colors by using fujifilm instead of Kodak and in
- 52:51Speaker 3: one scene when the Dane, Tommy, Frankie, and Tic taker
- 52:55Speaker 3: in the woods at Miller's crossing, some sunlight can be
- 52:59Speaker 3: faintly seen in the background, but otherwise he got his
- 53:02Speaker 3: overcast shots.
- 53:03Speaker 2: So that worked out, worked out, worked out good. Yeah. Nice.
- 53:08Speaker 3: Reagan toast Volstad outside of Casper's premises during their police raid.
- 53:13Speaker 3: Andrew Volstad was her. Volstead was the sponsor and facilitator
- 53:18Speaker 3: of the National Prohibition Act in US Congress, which supported
- 53:22Speaker 3: the Eighteenth Amendment the United States Constitution and effectually effectively
- 53:26Speaker 3: established prohibition. So kind of fun to have him, you know,
- 53:30Speaker 3: throw that little middle finger up to him as he's
- 53:32Speaker 3: taken a little sip peru. It's one of This is
- 53:37Speaker 3: one of three Cohen Brothers films not to be edited
- 53:39Speaker 3: by the brothers themselves. They would edit under a pseudonym,
- 53:43Speaker 3: Roderick James. Apparently. I don't know why they had to
- 53:46Speaker 3: use a pseudonym to edit their own films. Yeah. The
- 53:51Speaker 3: others are Raising Arizona and the Hutsucker Proxy, so that's fun.
- 53:59Speaker 3: But I just thought this was fun. Tom Regan, He's
- 54:03Speaker 3: punched in the face twelve times, punched in the stomach slash,
- 54:06Speaker 3: Kidney twenty times, kicked in the face twice, thrown down
- 54:09Speaker 3: two flights of stairs, beaten with a purse, tripped while
- 54:12Speaker 3: in a full sprint, and nearly strangled to death in
- 54:15Speaker 3: this film.
- 54:16Speaker 2: So yeah, he took quite a beating, he sure did.
- 54:19Speaker 3: That would be kind of a fun draft, like the
- 54:22Speaker 3: characters who get beat up at the most beat up. Yeah, yeah,
- 54:26Speaker 3: I just rewatched Nobody, and that's got to be up
- 54:28Speaker 3: there for sure.
- 54:30Speaker 2: Up there he gets a kick.
- 54:34Speaker 3: I didn't see this, but apparently in that rest of
- 54:38Speaker 3: the Ladies restroom dressing room scene, Albert Finney is in
- 54:42Speaker 3: drags in as one of the ladies in that scene. Apparently,
- 54:45Speaker 3: Oh wow, And I did not know that.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Why why would he do that?
- 54:50Speaker 3: For funds?
- 54:52Speaker 2: Silly goose, Yeah, that's pretty silly.
- 54:55Speaker 3: That was the last one I had for Trivia, though.
- 54:58Speaker 6: I had a couple people that were up for other roles.
- 55:01Speaker 6: It's turned out that the character Eddie Dane was originally
- 55:06Speaker 6: written for Peter Storm Mayor, who you know as the
- 55:11Speaker 6: Psycho guy in Fargo, and was to be named the
- 55:16Speaker 6: Swede Story. Mayor had to decline as he was appearing
- 55:20Speaker 6: as Hamlet in the Broadway production, and then they re
- 55:23Speaker 6: wrote it Yeah, yes, and became the Dane.
- 55:30Speaker 2: It looks like the character of Leo was written.
- 55:32Speaker 6: For Trey Wilson, who played Nathan Arizona Senior in the
- 55:35Speaker 6: Cohen's previous film Raising Arizona. Wilson died shortly before production
- 55:40Speaker 6: began Cross.
- 55:42Speaker 2: So that's good. That's good Cross. So yeah.
- 55:50Speaker 6: Then Albert Finnie took over the role, which you know
- 55:53Speaker 6: worked out.
- 55:55Speaker 3: You have to have a backup. Albert is a pretty good.
- 55:58Speaker 2: It was a good backup.
- 56:00Speaker 3: That's wild.
- 56:01Speaker 6: Then some big names apparently auditioned to play Verna. Julia
- 56:05Speaker 6: Roberts to me Moore and Jennifer.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Jason Lee, they all could have done it.
- 56:11Speaker 2: I think it would have been very different, for sure.
- 56:14Speaker 2: For sure. Yeah, I don't know if Julia Robers could
- 56:17Speaker 2: do that.
- 56:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the I said that, and then I
- 56:20Speaker 3: was like, well, maybe not her. I think the other's good.
- 56:23Speaker 2: She's just too lovely, and Marcia gay Harden is very lovely.
- 56:29Speaker 2: But I just can't. I can't. I just can't picture
- 56:34Speaker 2: Julia Robers.
- 56:35Speaker 3: To the flashing out because of La.
- 56:36Speaker 7: I'm sorry, Julia. I couldn't see Julia playing a lady
- 56:42Speaker 7: of the night.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Well, that's interesting when you say it that way. It's
- 56:49Speaker 2: more of the personality. Yeah, I can't.
- 56:52Speaker 7: Picture like a wholesomeness to her.
- 56:54Speaker 6: Yeah, well I could see Jennifer Jason Lee doing that
- 56:56Speaker 6: really well.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Absolutely, maybe to me more.
- 57:01Speaker 2: But I thought Marshall Harden was great.
- 57:03Speaker 3: She was wonderful.
- 57:05Speaker 2: That's why she got the part. That was all I
- 57:07Speaker 2: had aid. Did you have any other fun things?
- 57:10Speaker 7: Yeah, it's quite trivia, but I like the fact that
- 57:14Speaker 7: the city isn't specified, and there's sort of mixed messages
- 57:17Speaker 7: on where they are. New Orleans, you know, at one
- 57:21Speaker 7: point and they say, like send something out to the palisades,
- 57:26Speaker 7: which both LA and New York City have palisades, And
- 57:32Speaker 7: then there was a Chicago reference. Well the voting, the
- 57:35Speaker 7: voting six times is a very historically Chicago thing. And
- 57:40Speaker 7: then apparently there's a calendar at some point that it
- 57:43Speaker 7: says Philadelphia on it in there, and so, you know,
- 57:46Speaker 7: I think it's intentionally this, you know, sort of un
- 57:51Speaker 7: like name city, which which is a fun little brain tickler.
- 57:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I guess I just assume it's up
- 57:58Speaker 6: in the New York area when I watch it, But
- 58:02Speaker 6: what what do they say that they just leave it vague.
- 58:06Speaker 7: There's there's yeah, they don't say yeah. Sometimes the city
- 58:10Speaker 7: is just a city.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Yeah, nice, nice, and sometimes it's not. That's pretty great.
- 58:17Speaker 7: I love that, and I did, I guess, also touch
- 58:21Speaker 7: on touching on some of the symbolism as well. I
- 58:23Speaker 7: saw pointed out like the desks and desks being like
- 58:26Speaker 7: a place of power exchange, whether you're sitting across from
- 58:28Speaker 7: the next to each other, where Tom often is. And
- 58:32Speaker 7: then there's the scene where Johnny kicks the mayor out
- 58:36Speaker 7: of his own seat at his desk and out of
- 58:37Speaker 7: his office, and so another you know who's really in
- 58:40Speaker 7: power here thing? And so it was fun to watch
- 58:43Speaker 7: that back with that in mind. The desk play.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Nice, yeah, big big desk, desk, play guy over here, Yeah.
- 58:52Speaker 6: Loves desk plays problem really anything? Those are fun, man,
- 58:58Speaker 6: Did you have anything else or is that it?
- 59:01Speaker 7: I think that was it? Let me see here, Yeah,
- 59:04Speaker 7: just just the visuals. I suppose. Another idea that I
- 59:08Speaker 7: enjoyed was, you know, the fixing of fights and how
- 59:12Speaker 7: Tom wouldn't participate in that because that's you know, he
- 59:14Speaker 7: didn't want the advantage. He's playing it straight there. But
- 59:18Speaker 7: the implication that he's playing a fixed game in life,
- 59:21Speaker 7: right where the morals are sort of upside down, you know,
- 59:24Speaker 7: and the way you get ahead is by removing that hat,
- 59:27Speaker 7: removing those morals, and and that's really when he saves
- 59:31Speaker 7: himself when he does the double crossing, and you know,
- 59:34Speaker 7: the lies is pretty much to save his life, whether
- 59:38Speaker 7: it's creating the scene at the end where he gets
- 59:41Speaker 7: the guys there to kill each other end up dead
- 59:43Speaker 7: at least, and you know, just lying to various people.
- 59:47Speaker 7: Of course in the movie, it's interesting that that's his
- 59:50Speaker 7: like what saves him?
- 59:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great, nice man voice. Judgment Day. Will there
- 59:58Speaker 2: be a sequel?
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Uh no, no, it was The Britney Spears movie is
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: like the line, that's probably better.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: It's nice.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: What's it called the Crossroads? The Britney Spears.
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: The Britney Spears when I was like, yeah, that wouldn't
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: that be funny if that had something to do with
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: this at all.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: They're the same universe for sure. We can all agree,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: don't look into it. Probably not, probably not.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't think so agreed. Well, then do
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: you guys want to play a game?
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: Okay, good, because I made a starting five I'm gonna
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: name my five favorite actors from a film.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: When you know the film, you're going to ring in
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: with your name.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: If you get it wrong, there won't be any negative points,
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: but you won't be able to guess again for that movie.
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: If their actors' names remaining, you can guess those for
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: a point each. The other person can steal if you
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: get any of those names. All of these films have
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: something in common. When you know the theme, you can
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: ring in at anytime for a point. It's not as
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: easy of a theme as I usually do. So put
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: on your thinking caps.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: I don't know every one of those. It's okay, t
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: give me a nice cap though. When I was one,
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Oh you weren't there? Probably for that? Oh no, did
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: you see my fun Wiener dog hat? Yeah? I wore
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: for the report I did.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: I did.
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: It was a great hat. I love it. Thank you.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Abe has a great hat on right now.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: What's on that I can't see?
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Yeah?

- 1:01:47Speaker 2: So nice.
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: Got a parking lot of a Dead Company show?
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah you did.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: He's not sick of the high hat.
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: This guy, I love it.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: What I all?
