- 0:00Speaker 1: In twenty seventh at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
- 0:04Speaker 1: We've got a plethora of mail bag questions for the
- 0:08Speaker 1: Mosher mail Bag segment today, which will lead us into
- 0:12Speaker 1: one week to the Eagles getting at training camp. And
- 0:15Speaker 1: if you have an Eagles question, uh for the mail
- 0:18Speaker 1: bag segment, we will have a couple of mail bags
- 0:21Speaker 1: left before training camp. Moster's back on Monday, and then
- 0:25Speaker 1: of course Wednesday he's here. They will be back on
- 0:27Speaker 1: the practice field, so there will be plenty of things
- 0:29Speaker 1: to discuss when that returns the Eagles, I should say,
- 0:34Speaker 1: when they return six oh nine, four oh three oh
- 0:38Speaker 1: nine seven three. If you want to get a mail
- 0:41Speaker 1: bag question in for our Eagles football at four segment today,
- 0:47Speaker 1: you know we've had some Eagles questions throughout What are
- 0:49Speaker 1: the questions that we asked earlier on the show. I
- 0:54Speaker 1: just wanted you guys to think about this, what happened
- 1:00Speaker 1: if the offense struggles this year? What scenarios do you
- 1:05Speaker 1: see as possibilities? I see three scenarios definitively. One The
- 1:18Speaker 1: question goes, this is the question, what happens if the
- 1:22Speaker 1: Eagles offense struggles again this year? One do they get
- 1:31Speaker 1: rid of the coordinator again, I don't think I see
- 1:34Speaker 1: that happening back to back years. Two do they get
- 1:40Speaker 1: rid of the head coach? Three? Do they move on
- 1:46Speaker 1: from the quarterback? Text in six nine four h three
- 1:51Speaker 1: nine seven to three. All right, Mosher is here. We
- 1:53Speaker 1: got the mail bag ready to go. We got a
- 1:55Speaker 1: ton of questions today as people know that the mailbag
- 1:59Speaker 1: season is running out because Jeff Boucher training camp season
- 2:05Speaker 1: is almost ear which means they know they don't get
- 2:09Speaker 1: to ask the questions anymore once the training camp session
- 2:12Speaker 1: of the season gets your what's up.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Man, what's going on? How you doing, Mike?
- 2:17Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm cautiously ready for training camp. You know,
- 2:21Speaker 1: there's a lot of things. I got the football it'ch today.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Today was like the first day when I was like
- 2:26Speaker 1: I got a little itch for football.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Mm hmm good, all right, I like it.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I like it.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It's uh. I will admit to you that when we
- 2:37Speaker 2: do some of our content here in the dead period,
- 2:39Speaker 2: it gets a little repetitive, and we look forward to
- 2:41Speaker 2: actually having good things to talk, like, you know, actual
- 2:44Speaker 2: football things to discuss. So I can feel.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You I got you well, I gave the listeners an
- 2:50Speaker 1: assignment for the mail back today. You know, they had
- 2:52Speaker 1: to listen to ITB they had to listen to the
- 2:54Speaker 1: latest podcast. And then a lot of people ask questions
- 2:58Speaker 1: from uh, your latest podcast today? So I see I
- 3:03Speaker 1: got I got at least fifteen to twenty questions off
- 3:07Speaker 1: the homework assignment here. So I'm going through my mail
- 3:11Speaker 1: bag here of stuff. So are you are you ready
- 3:14Speaker 1: for the for the Mosher mail bag Wednesday? Football at
- 3:17Speaker 1: four today?
- 3:19Speaker 2: In the words of the great Bart Scott, can't wait.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Bart Scott got laid off yesterday, So easy on him.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Ah man, I didn't realize that. Sorry about that.
- 3:31Speaker 1: For that. Yeah, he will never, never not have that moment. Uh,
- 3:35Speaker 1: let's say Dave and Cherry Hill, he says, Jeff, you
- 3:38Speaker 1: and Adam talked on ITV about Ty Robinson needing a
- 3:42Speaker 1: big training camp after last year not producing much as
- 3:46Speaker 1: a rookie. So, Jeff, what do you think about Ty
- 3:50Speaker 1: Robinson in twenty twenty six?
- 3:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's hard to really gauge anything he
- 3:57Speaker 2: did a rookie. He didn't play a whole lot. He
- 3:59Speaker 2: played in the rest starters game against Washington in Week eighteen,
- 4:03Speaker 2: and he looked like he was a decent player at
- 4:06Speaker 2: that point. But you know, you look at the position
- 4:09Speaker 2: and you've got a lot of guys ahead of You've
- 4:11Speaker 2: got Jordan Davis, you have Jalen Carter, you have Moro Jomo,
- 4:14Speaker 2: and really he'll enter camp ty Robinson even behind Byron
- 4:18Speaker 2: Young as the fifth defensive tackle. So he's a fourth
- 4:22Speaker 2: round pick from last year and the odds are in
- 4:24Speaker 2: his favor of making it. But the Eagles do have
- 4:27Speaker 2: to keep They're gonna go heavier at certain positions, I imagine,
- 4:33Speaker 2: especially if they keep four quarterbacks, which has to work
- 4:36Speaker 2: itself out, especially if they're gonna keep ten or eleven
- 4:38Speaker 2: offensive linemen, which Howie Roseman has said he he's uh
- 4:41Speaker 2: desires to do. And in the secondary, they're going to
- 4:44Speaker 2: keep some guys, so you can't keep everybody, as we
- 4:48Speaker 2: always say, so Ty Robinson really does have to show
- 4:51Speaker 2: this camp that he has improved from last year and
- 4:54Speaker 2: that he would see some time in the rotation and
- 4:58Speaker 2: be that interior pass rush that hegles like from that position,
- 5:02Speaker 2: or else he could face the consequence of being cut
- 5:05Speaker 2: after his first year. We like to think that Howie
- 5:11Speaker 2: will always favor his draft picks and in many cases
- 5:14Speaker 2: he does. However, he did cut Colum Cord last year,
- 5:17Speaker 2: a quarterback, right sixth round pick, but a quarterback. And
- 5:21Speaker 2: I believe it was twenty nineteen that the Eagles cut
- 5:24Speaker 2: a fourth round pick in his first year, and that
- 5:26Speaker 2: was Sharif Miller, the defensive end out of Penn State.
- 5:29Speaker 2: So it's this is his second year for ty Robinson,
- 5:32Speaker 2: and I think guys like Ian mac McWilliams really have
- 5:35Speaker 2: to show that they they've got some development in them.
- 5:38Speaker 1: All right, Thanks, Dave, Let's go to Mark and Dell Ran.
- 5:43Speaker 1: He wants to know, do you guys see anything from
- 5:46Speaker 1: Keishaan James Newby feels like he has some speed off
- 5:50Speaker 1: the edge. Is he a guy that could surprise you,
- 5:53Speaker 1: Jeff in this defense this year?
- 5:56Speaker 2: Well, just like we talked with good question Mark, like
- 5:59Speaker 2: we talked about out with Tyro Robinson, you know, there's
- 6:02Speaker 2: so many guys ahead of Kashawn James Newby that it
- 6:06Speaker 2: doesn't matter how good he looks at camp. He's not
- 6:08Speaker 2: gonna vic Already we talk about all the time. Likes
- 6:11Speaker 2: a three man edge rotation, so he ain't gonna crack
- 6:14Speaker 2: the Jonathan Gnnard, Jlex Hunt and Nolan Smith junior rotation,
- 6:21Speaker 2: and we're gonna see if Vic can get out of
- 6:23Speaker 2: his comfort zone a little bit to give Arnold E.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Wickhetty some run in that rotation. But I do think
- 6:29Speaker 2: that there is an avenue for Keishawn James Newby with
- 6:32Speaker 2: that speed that Mark mentioned, which I believe is like
- 6:34Speaker 2: four three four something ridiculous for an edge rusher of
- 6:37Speaker 2: his size, right to make the team as a special
- 6:40Speaker 2: teams guy, because the Eagles have kept extra an extra edge,
- 6:45Speaker 2: not to play defense, but to be on special teams.
- 6:48Speaker 2: It's been Patrick Johnson, it's been kyn Johnson from a
- 6:52Speaker 2: couple of years ago. So yeah, the opportunity is there,
- 6:56Speaker 2: but I can't imagine he's making any kind of impact
- 6:59Speaker 2: on the defense unless they have a rash of injuries.
- 7:04Speaker 1: This one's coming all the way from Westchester, home of
- 7:06Speaker 1: the former Eagles training camp. Brian must be down the
- 7:10Speaker 1: shore vacationing from Westchester, says Jeff Jacorey Bennett mc McWilliams.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Both highlighted as bubble guys in the secondary, with Vic
- 7:17Speaker 1: Fangio wonning versatile, smart defensive backs who could cross train.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Which of these younger corners has the best shot to
- 7:24Speaker 1: adapt to Fangio's scheme. Now. They traded for Bennett last year,
- 7:28Speaker 1: they drafted Mac McWilliams. Two guys today actually went out
- 7:32Speaker 1: of their way to target here.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean both of them potentially could have some versatility.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Mac McWilliams, we know, is a guy who can play
- 7:43Speaker 2: inside or outside. He has really good speed. He has
- 7:45Speaker 2: speed for the outside, but size or height I should
- 7:48Speaker 2: say for the inside. But he's also a strong guy.
- 7:52Speaker 2: And Adam and I talked about maybe there's an opportunity
- 7:55Speaker 2: for him to get some looks at safety as that
- 7:58Speaker 2: big nickel safety that they're all auditioning for between Marcus
- 8:02Speaker 2: Epps and Michael Carter the second maybe maxim mac McWilliams
- 8:07Speaker 2: can get himself into that conversation and really appealed to
- 8:11Speaker 2: Vic by being able to play three different positions Jacorey
- 8:14Speaker 2: and Bennett. You know, he has inside out versatility. I
- 8:19Speaker 2: can't see him at all as a hybrid you know,
- 8:22Speaker 2: safety the way. Maybe Mac McWilliams and honestly, you know,
- 8:26Speaker 2: they're both facing an uphill battle to make the team,
- 8:28Speaker 2: but more so Jae Coryan. They traded for him, but
- 8:31Speaker 2: they didn't give up a whole lot, and now he's
- 8:33Speaker 2: stuck in a crowded corner room. That's got reequialing, It's
- 8:37Speaker 2: got Quinnon Mitchell, it's got you know, guy mac McWilliams.
- 8:41Speaker 2: We just brought up. It's got u Killy Ringo. Still,
- 8:43Speaker 2: it's got Judd. Who's the veteran whose name is escaping
- 8:47Speaker 2: me right now? Jonathan Jones, Right, Jonathan Jones, who I
- 8:50Speaker 2: think is gonna make it as the number one corner
- 8:52Speaker 2: off the bench. So the reality is Jacryan Bennett's facing
- 8:55Speaker 2: a real uphill battle to make the team. McWilliams also,
- 8:59Speaker 2: but at least McWilliams is a second year drafted player
- 9:02Speaker 2: who they might want to give more time to develop
- 9:04Speaker 2: at different position.
- 9:06Speaker 1: All Right, I appreciate you, Brian from Westchester, PA, down
- 9:10Speaker 1: the shore. I'm assuming anyway, uh football for Kevin from
- 9:13Speaker 1: Atlantic City. On ITV Adam mentioned Cole was Nowski as
- 9:17Speaker 1: a potential fourth safety, but he noted that there are
- 9:19Speaker 1: questions at the position. How concerned do you think the
- 9:23Speaker 1: coaching staff is with the safety depth? I think I
- 9:27Speaker 1: think good I was gonna say, because mcoomba was hurt
- 9:30Speaker 1: last year, I think that the concern might be whether
- 9:33Speaker 1: or not he can get through a season or what
- 9:34Speaker 1: if he doesn't.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that there's there's an overall curiosity. I'll
- 9:39Speaker 2: say curiosity over concerned. If there was a concern, I
- 9:42Speaker 2: think that there would have been more done this offseason.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Right now, it's a curiosity because as long as mccooba
- 9:49Speaker 2: stays healthy and Cooper de gen is playing safety in
- 9:51Speaker 2: base defense, which could be thirty twenty five thirty thirty
- 9:55Speaker 2: five percent more potentially, then they're all right, you know.
- 9:59Speaker 2: And as long as they like what they see from
- 10:00Speaker 2: Marcus SEPs and Michael Carter Junior or the second I mean,
- 10:04Speaker 2: they should be okay too. And if they need a
- 10:06Speaker 2: body they can always trade. They can add. You know,
- 10:09Speaker 2: your concern is when you don't have a starter, right
- 10:13Speaker 2: or if you've got a struggling defense and that's gonna
- 10:16Speaker 2: contribute to it. They have a lot of really good
- 10:18Speaker 2: pieces all around. So if if mccouba is healthy and
- 10:22Speaker 2: de Gene is how healthy and is adapted, fine, then
- 10:25Speaker 2: I don't think it's a concern. But I do think
- 10:28Speaker 2: I call it a curiosity because I know the coaches
- 10:30Speaker 2: are going to look at how this competition plays out
- 10:33Speaker 2: They're gonna look at Michael Carter the second, they're gonna
- 10:35Speaker 2: look at Maccuba, They're gonna look at Zowski. They're gonna
- 10:38Speaker 2: take a look at this kid, Maximus Pulley, who's a
- 10:40Speaker 2: rookie free agent who is like a playmaker at Wafford
- 10:44Speaker 2: in College, like five six interceptions. He's got some skills. Man,
- 10:47Speaker 2: he'll be a guy that might be one of those
- 10:49Speaker 2: training camp darlings. They're gonna look at his name again,
- 10:53Speaker 2: Maximus Pulley, p U L L e y.
- 10:56Speaker 1: That's the first on this show, I believe. I don't
- 10:58Speaker 1: know that we've heard his name yet.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I'm surprised because Adam's really bullish on this guy. He
- 11:02Speaker 2: might probably mentioned once or twice along the way, just
- 11:04Speaker 2: when we were talking about after the draft.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'm surprised that's thought and Andrew like seventh round undrafted
- 11:11Speaker 1: gem right there.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Yeah, well, he is certainly someone to watch, and because
- 11:16Speaker 2: of the questions that we just talked about, I mean,
- 11:18Speaker 2: I suppose you could make it if he really performs. Well,
- 11:21Speaker 2: there's still Andre Sam So that's the curiosity. Do do
- 11:25Speaker 2: the coaches feel comfortable with what they have two to
- 11:28Speaker 2: three weeks in the camp or do they have a
- 11:30Speaker 2: lot of injuries or do they have lack of performance
- 11:33Speaker 2: that feel like they need to make a move and
- 11:34Speaker 2: that's when they knock on Howie's door.
- 11:37Speaker 1: All right, this what is Chris is listed on the
- 11:39Speaker 1: beach in Wildwood today? How much freedom does the coaching
- 11:42Speaker 1: they have actually have to tweak game plans week to week?
- 11:45Speaker 1: Or is nick micro management style set in stone?
- 11:53Speaker 2: I am jealous of Chris sitting on the beach in Wildwood.
- 11:57Speaker 2: It is on sitting on the beach and Wildwood that
- 11:59Speaker 2: you would come up with that kind of a really
- 12:01Speaker 2: open ended question of Nick and how much micromanaging he does.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I mean, look, it's happened on offense. We know that,
- 12:11Speaker 2: and I wouldn't say that that's his interference. I think
- 12:13Speaker 2: that more so when things weren't working, it was a
- 12:16Speaker 2: well we need to default to the things that really worked,
- 12:19Speaker 2: which is running the ball and stop. You know, back
- 12:21Speaker 2: in the Kellen Moore days, let's not have all this
- 12:23Speaker 2: crazy motion and misdirection. But if there's one thing that
- 12:27Speaker 2: we've said constantly throughout this offseason is that you don't
- 12:32Speaker 2: hire Sean mcmannonmannion sorry, as a first time play caller,
- 12:36Speaker 2: knowing that you failed with two first time play callers
- 12:39Speaker 2: before that, if you don't really plan to stick to
- 12:43Speaker 2: the plan of introducing this new offensive design and scheme
- 12:47Speaker 2: and sticking to it, so, you know, I think it's
- 12:49Speaker 2: a great question because Nick Sirianni's job is always going
- 12:52Speaker 2: to be on the line. And what happens is six
- 12:54Speaker 2: or seven weeks into the season the offense still is
- 12:57Speaker 2: clunky because it just hasn't taken yet. Are they patient
- 13:01Speaker 2: or do they crumble it all up and throw in
- 13:03Speaker 2: the trash can? I don't think they do be I
- 13:05Speaker 2: think that they're going to have to exercise patients and
- 13:08Speaker 2: Nick's going to have to let the process see itself out.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Whether or not he's patient enough to do that remains
- 13:14Speaker 2: to be seen.
- 13:16Speaker 1: This what's going from a Delaware listener? How about that
- 13:18Speaker 1: they're a Delaware I TB Football at four listener. It's
- 13:23Speaker 1: a Greg over there in Delaware. He wants to know, Jeff,
- 13:27Speaker 1: where do you think the weakness of the defense is?
- 13:32Speaker 2: Hey, Greg, I think I think it's in that safety spot.
- 13:37Speaker 2: There's no question just the overall depth. It's not again,
- 13:41Speaker 2: it's not a question about talent. When you have Macouba
- 13:44Speaker 2: and the Gene there for a lot of your snaps,
- 13:46Speaker 2: but it is fair to say the Gene's not played safety.
- 13:49Speaker 2: He did not play safety at at Iowa. He like
- 13:53Speaker 2: he went there maybe as one transferred over. He was
- 13:55Speaker 2: mostly a corner. Everybody said he had the safety versatility
- 13:59Speaker 2: and he did play nickel. He probably lined up with
- 14:02Speaker 2: safety in certain packages, but he was not a safety.
- 14:04Speaker 2: So this will be his first row go round as
- 14:06Speaker 2: an NFL safety. And mcooba is a guy who's one
- 14:09Speaker 2: hundred and sixty nine pounds, right, So although he plays big,
- 14:13Speaker 2: we already saw him get injured last year, and you
- 14:16Speaker 2: know you want to see him stay healthy as long
- 14:18Speaker 2: as those two guys are healthy, and not as concerned
- 14:20Speaker 2: about a MIC because I think it's a very talented
- 14:22Speaker 2: defense all around. But surely if there's not great depth
- 14:27Speaker 2: there and any kind of hurt or lack of performance
- 14:30Speaker 2: for those two guys could threaten the Eagles at that position.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Well, a lot of people have asked the question whether
- 14:35Speaker 1: or not they think this defense will be better than
- 14:37Speaker 1: last year? Is it more talented than last year?
- 14:46Speaker 2: That's a tough one because really what you're saying is
- 14:49Speaker 2: is Grenard an upgrade over Jaalen Phillips, I don't think.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I think it's about the same. I think Phillips a
- 14:54Speaker 2: little bit more of a two way defensive end. But
- 14:56Speaker 2: Grenard's pretty good. I would say riquel And is enough
- 15:00Speaker 2: over adri Jackson, though, and it's gonna change what Vic
- 15:04Speaker 2: Fangio can do schematically. I think it was nice to
- 15:07Speaker 2: watch Quinnon Mitchell's shadow other wide receivers, right, but I
- 15:11Speaker 2: don't think Vick will have to do that as much
- 15:13Speaker 2: this year, which means you don't have you don't think
- 15:16Speaker 2: it's a liability to have requeling up against certain guys
- 15:20Speaker 2: and then you were less predictable. And then it comes
- 15:22Speaker 2: down to what I would say is the difference between
- 15:26Speaker 2: having n Kobe Dean's just his his cerebral play, his instinctiveness,
- 15:31Speaker 2: his leadership versus John Campbell, who is ten times the athlete.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Then N Kobe Dean is where is the trade off?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Is it better?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Is it worse? But everybody else is basically gonna be
- 15:41Speaker 2: in the same spot.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Uh, you do have a blanket ship not here and
- 15:46Speaker 1: I guess at.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Degene right, So you have Degene, So that could be
- 15:51Speaker 2: an upgrade athletic it could be an upgrade, right, better,
- 15:54Speaker 2: more talented player. When Degene goes into Nickel and then
- 15:58Speaker 2: they bring in another, then you have to weigh the
- 16:01Speaker 2: EPs or Michael Carter or whoever versus what what blanket
- 16:06Speaker 2: ship gave? For sure?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Thanks Greg and Delaware. Let's go to Todd and Vineland, Mo,
- 16:12Speaker 1: Sure what real what's one realistic change in the offensive
- 16:15Speaker 1: philosophy you expect to actually see on the field this
- 16:18Speaker 1: summer versus what is camp hype?
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah? Great question? That was Greg?
- 16:24Speaker 1: You said, No, I'm sorry, Todd, Todd and Vineland not
- 16:27Speaker 1: all right? I like this question. Island this this weekend.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I was in Violin this weekend.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Intentionally just kidding violent. I'm just kidding. Uh, I've actually
- 16:37Speaker 2: been to Violent Shoe so uh No.
- 16:42Speaker 1: My buddy who lives in Violin told me that asked
- 16:44Speaker 1: me if I got my passport stamped when I went
- 16:46Speaker 1: out there.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Ah man, that's rough. I was annoyed because there's apparently
- 16:52Speaker 2: a very good sandwich shop, a burger shop called Outlaws
- 16:55Speaker 2: in Vineland, and I wasn't. I We went and I
- 16:57Speaker 2: was there on a Sunday and they were not open,
- 16:59Speaker 2: and I think I thought to myself what kind of
- 17:01Speaker 2: sandwich shop is not open on a Sunday. You know
- 17:03Speaker 2: that's that's a good food service day Saturday and Sunday.
- 17:06Speaker 2: But I digress. Love is. But anyway, the spirit of
- 17:10Speaker 2: the question is because Adam and I always talk about
- 17:13Speaker 2: throwing to the running back. How we see it all
- 17:15Speaker 2: the time in training camp, and then the season starts
- 17:18Speaker 2: and it's bogus. It never happens like Sakwon Berkley catches
- 17:22Speaker 2: maybe one or two passes a game, right, So I
- 17:24Speaker 2: get it. I think one thing that will be undeniable
- 17:28Speaker 2: about the offense this year, and not just a training
- 17:30Speaker 2: camp thing, is going under center, lining up with multiple
- 17:35Speaker 2: tight ends, running from under center, and then running play
- 17:38Speaker 2: action from under center. The Eagles did, they were legles
- 17:42Speaker 2: were among the lowest percentage under center play action teams
- 17:46Speaker 2: in the NFL both last year and then so far
- 17:49Speaker 2: in the Nick Syriana Jalen hurts Era Sirianni hurts Era.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I think there will be a drastic change with those
- 17:57Speaker 2: percentages this year. And I don't think that that's something
- 18:00Speaker 2: that they're going to stop doing after training camp because
- 18:03Speaker 2: maybe they don't like what they see or it's taking
- 18:05Speaker 2: too much time. That is a staple of what this
- 18:08Speaker 2: offense should look like and have.
- 18:10Speaker 1: All right, Uh, we'll get one more in here from
- 18:13Speaker 1: Sean in Seattle City. What's up Sean? Who is one
- 18:17Speaker 1: under the radar player on defense who's not getting talked
- 18:20Speaker 1: about right now? Is it Malcolm Pulley?
- 18:23Speaker 2: What was that guy's name, Maximus Pulley?
- 18:27Speaker 1: That is school was Maximilian.
- 18:32Speaker 2: It's a great name. I like Maximus and Maximilian. A
- 18:37Speaker 2: guy that we in other than Maximus Pulley might be
- 18:42Speaker 2: I think might be Michael Carter. The second. I think
- 18:44Speaker 2: a lot of people think that Marcus EPs, because Vick
- 18:47Speaker 2: was very praise worthy of them, is going to win
- 18:48Speaker 2: that third safety job. I'm not. I'm not so sure
- 18:51Speaker 2: of that. And I would say maybe Arnold A. W.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Kenny.
- 18:58Speaker 2: You know what, So here's the thing, here's the thing.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Vic likes a three man edge rotation. So it's gonna
- 19:04Speaker 2: be to start camp, right, You're gonna it's gonna be Grenard,
- 19:08Speaker 2: it's gonna be Jill's hunt, and it's going to be
- 19:10Speaker 2: Nolan Smith junior. Nolan Smith Junior. Yeah, Well, Nolan's not
- 19:14Speaker 2: had a great offseason. He had the arrest and all
- 19:16Speaker 2: that he was kind of a flash player last year
- 19:19Speaker 2: who had the injury missed four weeks, and Ebi Ketty
- 19:22Speaker 2: has also been a flash player. So what if one
- 19:25Speaker 2: what if eb Kenny's flashing more during camp than Nolan Smith,
- 19:28Speaker 2: does he get himself ahead of Nolan Smith in the rotation?
- 19:31Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm just very curious because this is
- 19:33Speaker 2: a player the Eagles liked coming out of Penn State
- 19:37Speaker 2: a couple of years ago. They brought him in for
- 19:38Speaker 2: a visit. Remember he started off at Temple, how he
- 19:41Speaker 2: liked him, how he finally got a chance to sign
- 19:43Speaker 2: him and he did. So that's a player that I'll
- 19:45Speaker 2: have my eyes on.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I like that. And if Ebu Kenny can actually give
- 19:49Speaker 1: you more than what Usha and o Jalari gave you
- 19:53Speaker 1: last year, I mean that would be a positive.
- 19:55Speaker 2: The key to me is does he show enough to
- 19:57Speaker 2: get Vic to expand his rotation, because if he does
- 20:02Speaker 2: and Vic does that, that's a that's a feather in
- 20:04Speaker 2: the cap because Vic's pretty fickle about his three man
- 20:07Speaker 2: edge rotation. At least he has been throughout his career
- 20:09Speaker 2: and here with the Eagles, to the point where who
- 20:12Speaker 2: we all thought like played fairly okay, like as a
- 20:15Speaker 2: rotational edge. Last year he was doing fine and once
- 20:17Speaker 2: they got Jalen Phillips went straight to the bench like
- 20:22Speaker 2: you're not getting on the field. So that's how much
- 20:24Speaker 2: of a stickler Vic is. But if Emikenny can carve
- 20:27Speaker 2: out a role and make Vic come out of his
- 20:29Speaker 2: comfort zone, I think that's a really nice dat.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Like he got like decent four million bucks.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he got four million guaranteed seven overall, four guaranteed,
- 20:37Speaker 2: which is more than anybody got last year, more than
- 20:41Speaker 2: or Ojelari got. So you know Howie Roseman pays that
- 20:45Speaker 2: kind of guaranteed money. He wants to see a guy play,
- 20:47Speaker 2: especially if he's doing well.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Well, we'll see how it all unfolds this time next
- 20:51Speaker 1: weekday will be on the field and it will begin
- 20:54Speaker 1: Eagles training camp. Football at four Inside the Birds. We
- 20:58Speaker 1: got you covered right here on football for powered by
