Latest / The Vault: The Epstein Files / Leon Black Claims His Accuser Is A Russian Spy
Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: One and welcome back to the Epstein chronicles. So Leon
- 0:07Black is saying that the woman who is accusing him
- 0:10of rape is actually a Russian spy. So he's getting
- 0:16on the bus, the Russian spy bus, and saying that
- 0:19this lady and her whole entire plan here is nothing
- 0:22more than a plot by the Russians. Now, I know
- 0:25that that's like the popular thing to say and do,
- 0:28but he's gonna have to provide some evidence of that.
- 0:31So let's get to the article from the Daily Beast
- 0:34and let's see what Leon Black has cooking. Headline Epstein
- 0:39pal Leon Black alleges rape accuser is a Russian spy.
- 0:43This article was authored by Matt Young, Jeffrey Epstein's billionaire
- 0:49pal Apollo Global Management co founder. Leon Black has filed
- 0:53another lawsuit against the former Russian model who alleges he
- 0:57raped her, claiming she may be a Russian spy and
- 1:00that she and her lawyers attempted to harm and humiliate him,
- 1:04despite the fact that she already allegedly collected millions in
- 1:08a confidentiality agreement. Look, just because somebody signs a confidentiality
- 1:14agreement doesn't give you the right to abuse them. And
- 1:18all of these people who thinks that it does. I
- 1:20don't know what to tell these guys, because that ship
- 1:23is sailed already and people are no longer accepting that nonsense.
- 1:30The suit filed in New York State Supreme Court on
- 1:32Monday had been seen by The Daily Beast. Alleges to
- 1:36Guzelle Ganieva made false allegations that Black assaulted and abused her,
- 1:41which he claims was in direct violation of a confidentiality
- 1:45agreement under which plaintiff had been paid millions. Now, remember
- 1:50Virginia signed one of these as well. Did that end
- 1:53up protecting Jeffrey Epstein? Of course it didn't, and it
- 1:56shouldn't hear either. Now, I'm not saying that what Guzello
- 1:59Ganieva is saying is really what happened. I don't know.
- 2:03But to try and keep it out of the court
- 2:06and try and keep her from telling her a story,
- 2:08it's a typical move by people like Leon Black and
- 2:12now to try and throw this red letter on her. Oh, well,
- 2:15you're a Russian spy, I mean, talk about grasping. The
- 2:21assault allegations include a July twenty fourteen incident in which
- 2:25she alleges he barged into her apartment when she was
- 2:28unwell and raped her. He denies those allegations. The latest
- 2:33suit also alleges Ganieva's attorneys, wigdor LLP, used its public
- 2:38relations acumen and contacts to ensure that her violative and
- 2:43malicious disclosure of information she and Black contracted to keep
- 2:47confidential was broadly disseminated. Look, anyone who has anything to
- 2:52say about Leon Black or Jeffrey Epstein, they don't need
- 2:55the media at this point. They can go to social
- 2:57media and do it all themselves. The media is almost
- 3:01becoming a non factor in stories like this, and they've
- 3:04done that to themselves. Unfortunately, you have all of these
- 3:07blue check marks out here freaking out that they might
- 3:10have to pay twenty bucks a month for their blue
- 3:12check mark when they should be more focused on actually
- 3:15breaking stories that matter. Also named in the suit is
- 3:19Apollo co founder Josh Harris. Among other things, their collective
- 3:23misconduct has cost plaintiff the chairmanship of the company he founded,
- 3:28took public and ran for some thirty years. Black suit says,
- 3:32has nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. We're just going
- 3:34to forget about that. They're going to try and keep
- 3:37Epstein out of this conversation the same way Masterson's lawyers
- 3:41are trying to keep scientology out of the conversation. An
- 3:44Old boys trial, Black, a former client of wealthy sex
- 3:50offender pedophile Hey, Daily Beast, how about you call him
- 3:53what he is? A pedophile, alleges the confidentially confidentiality agreement,
- 3:58which was signed by Gannievi and provided in the court documents,
- 4:02prohibited disclosing her relationship with plaintiff and also releases all
- 4:07claims against him. Now, why would you have to have
- 4:09that sort of wording inside of this contract if you
- 4:14didn't do anything against her that she could call sexual assault.
- 4:19Oh but I paid her, so it's all good, and
- 4:21that's always their excuse. Oh, I paid them, so they're
- 4:24a prostitute. Everything's on the up and up. Well, prostitution
- 4:27is not legal. And guess what, it's not prostitution If
- 4:30somebody doesn't consent, even if you stuff their pockets full
- 4:33of money, that's called assault. That's called rape. Black claims
- 4:40the pair engaged in a consensual affair, but Ganieva says differently,
- 4:44alleging he sexually abused her for years and coerced her
- 4:48into signing a non disclosure agreement to keep her silent
- 4:51about the assaults. The suit says that over the course
- 4:55of six years, Khanieva accepted monthly payments that together totaled
- 4:59more than nine million dollars while she was enrolled in
- 5:02law school and while she represented and advised by counsel.
- 5:06Black alleges Ganieva, with the assistance and at the direct
- 5:10urging of Wigdor breached these provisions. So the whole Russian
- 5:15spyhangle of this, why because she's Russian. Now, look, I'm
- 5:18not saying she isn't the Russian spy. I don't know her.
- 5:20I've never met her. Missus Ganieva and I have never
- 5:23you know, sat down and broke bread. But it seems
- 5:26like a convenient excuse to throw into the conversation right now,
- 5:30considering the sentiment towards Russia. Also, under the agreement, Black
- 5:40allegedly agreed to forgive outstanding loans he had made to Ganiheva,
- 5:44provided her with additional support for a renewed round of
- 5:47immigration applications in the United Kingdom, and pay her an
- 5:50additional consideration in the form of one hundred thousand dollars
- 5:54per month. For fifteen years now. If this dude, gross
- 5:59ass Leon Black would have just stayed home with his wife,
- 6:02wouldn't he be in this position. But this guy, like
- 6:06so many others out there, think it's a good idea
- 6:08to be out here creeping around on your wife, getting
- 6:10involved with other women. What do you think the result's
- 6:13going to be. You think that you're this great casanova
- 6:16and you're just out here on the creep. You're not
- 6:20that smooth, bro. Take a look in the mirror, Okay,
- 6:23take a look at yourself and realize if you didn't
- 6:25have all those zeros in your bank account, none of
- 6:28these people would even want anything to do with you.
- 6:32So this dude's out here cheating on his wife, who's
- 6:33sick by the way at the time, and then he
- 6:36has the audacity to have this woman sign a non
- 6:40disclosure agreement. It's just so absurd that these people think
- 6:44they can get away with this and that none of
- 6:46this will ever come to light. In exchange, Kanieva agreed
- 6:51to one fully release any purported claim she had or
- 6:55might in the future against Black, and two keep a
- 6:58relationship with him strictly comft. So Black knew that he
- 7:02was in the wrong here, and the wording of this
- 7:04agreement tells you all you need to know. Now, I'm
- 7:07not saying that all the accusations that are being laid
- 7:10against him are true or correct. I've said it from
- 7:12the beginning. We'll have to wait and see what's going
- 7:14on here. We don't have all the documentation like in
- 7:17the Epstein case, right and for me, that's the benchmark.
- 7:21When I have all of those court documents, I can
- 7:24dive into and dig into, so the substance is there.
- 7:28But here we just have allegations flying back and forth
- 7:30from the two parties, so we'll have to continue to
- 7:33follow it and try and figure out what's going on.
- 7:38The court filing also alleges Ghanieva could be a Russian spy,
- 7:42which could appear to shed some light upon Ganijeva's conduct
- 7:46toward Black. The filing sites of March twenty eighth, twenty
- 7:49two report from the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of
- 7:52Defense of Ukraine, which published a list titled employees of
- 7:56the FSB Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation participating
- 8:01in crimes and activities of the aggressor country on the
- 8:04territory of Europe. Yo Leon Black has no shame. This
- 8:08dude has no shame whatsoever. He's gonna manipulate people's anger
- 8:12and people's feelings towards what's going on in Russia and
- 8:16drag that into a sexual assault case. You better have
- 8:19some receipts Homy number one thirty nine on that list.
- 8:25The filing says it's a version of Ganiyeva's name Maria
- 8:29Kana d'yevna Gatcha Pesheva. The filing sites two internet based publications,
- 8:35including the Estonian Free Press, which makes such mention. Look,
- 8:39what have I told you folks about the fog of war?
- 8:41And I'm not gonna be gas lit one way or
- 8:44the other when it comes to Ukraine. I'm not gonna
- 8:46just sit here and blindly cheer on what's going on
- 8:49over there in Ukraine, especially with everything I know about Zelensky.
- 8:54And while I believe that the Ukrainians have one hundred
- 8:57percent right to defend their sovereignty, I also believe that
- 9:00we have to look at what's going on in a
- 9:02sober manner. So is miss Ganiheva a spy? I don't know,
- 9:09But these sources like the Estonian Free Press and some
- 9:12of these other sources out here. I'm very very cautious
- 9:17to just buy into what they have to say. And
- 9:20I've been like that the whole entire time with this
- 9:22whole entire war. Because the fog of war is heavy
- 9:25right now, and there's just so much gaslighting that's coming
- 9:28out of that region. It's very hard to discern what's
- 9:31real and what's not. So I'm just very very cautious
- 9:34what sources I sucked down. When seen by the Daily Beast,
- 9:41the name reads Hutcha Pesheva. Maria Hannah Diavenna Kanieva's alleged
- 9:47entry has her name slightly misspelled, and her date of
- 9:50birth is different. The filing quotes former chief reporter of
- 9:53The Daily Express and investigations editor of The Mail on
- 9:57Sunday journalist Dennis Rice from his Sitetional Security News. The
- 10:01Ukrainian Intelligence Service is, however, adamant she and the spy
- 10:06on the list are the same person. According to the Independent,
- 10:10the list has not been independently verified, and the Kremlin
- 10:13did not respond to her request for comment. Look, if
- 10:16it does turn out that she is a spy, that's
- 10:19going to be real difficult for her. She's going to
- 10:21have a real tough time slamming this case home. If
- 10:24she is a spy, especially with this sentiment, and if
- 10:27she is a spy, we have to reevaluate what we think. Right, Look,
- 10:31I go where the evidence leads us here, folks, and
- 10:34wherever this evidence goes is exactly the rabbit hole that
- 10:37we're going to jump down at Smith's. We want our
- 10:42the court fights between the pair began in March last year,
- 10:45when Ghanieva took to Twitter alleging she was sexually harassed
- 10:48and abused by Black for years. Black denied the allegations,
- 10:53confirming he foolishly engaged in a consensual affair with the
- 10:56former model that had ended more than seven years prior.
- 11:00In the days after the Twitter posts, however, Black made
- 11:03a surprise early exit from his private equity firm. Yeah,
- 11:07it was time he should have left because of the
- 11:09Epstein stuff, and that's really what was pressing him. But
- 11:12this added on to that. Certainly not a good look.
- 11:17Then last June, she sued the unbattled billionaire for defamation,
- 11:21alleging he lied to the media about their relationship and
- 11:24falsely accused her of extortion. In January, Black unveiled shocking
- 11:29accusations against Apollo co founder Josh Harris in a new
- 11:32court filing, describing him as an arc rival who backed
- 11:36Ganieva's litigation behind the scenes after losing a multi billion
- 11:41dollar succession fight to replace Black as Apollo CEO in
- 11:45twenty twenty one. Now that whole entire thing was set
- 11:48up from Jump Street, Rowan and Black worked to oust
- 11:51Josh Smith. And Smith another billionaire who is really just
- 11:56not going to sit back. I mean Harris, who was
- 11:58another billionaire who is not just gonna sit back and
- 12:00take this. He fought back. Now did he help Ganieva?
- 12:04We don't know yet. Do I put it against him
- 12:07above somebody like him? I do not. These guys fight
- 12:10dirty folks. We're talking about some of the most powerful
- 12:12people in the financial sector. This is Apollo Global we're
- 12:16talking about here. In the firing line was also New
- 12:22York public relations executive Stephen Rubinstein, who the embattled mogul
- 12:26claimed at the time was enlisted by Harris to plant
- 12:29negative stories about him in the press. The case was
- 12:32dismissed by US District Judge Paul Engelmeyer in June, though
- 12:36and Black is appealed. Now, Look, do you really think
- 12:39that they need all these pr people to put stories out. Bro,
- 12:43you're running around given Epstein one hundred and fifty eight million.
- 12:47As soon as you're done with this questioning about Gazelle Ganieva,
- 12:52we got some more questions for you. In the new
- 12:57court filing, Black alleges that, following Ganieva's public statements and
- 13:01in light of the organized campaign against him, Black had
- 13:04no choice but to resign to protect Apollo, losing the
- 13:07considerable financial and other benefits he was entitled to as
- 13:11chairman and CEO. These guys haven't missed a beat. By
- 13:14the way, they're here in Vegas now. They're owners of
- 13:18the sands. I mean, I haven't stepped foot in the
- 13:21Venetian or any of their properties since these clowns bought it.
- 13:27The suit noted a former August twenty twenty one amended
- 13:30complaint by Ganieva that Black trafficked and kidnapped her against
- 13:34her will to Epstein's house during in October two thousand
- 13:37and eight flight to Florida. In the new filing, Black said,
- 13:41can temporaneous flight records confirm that never happened, and defiantly
- 13:45stated Black will demonstrate that these allegations are false. Okay, hey, look,
- 13:51I'm willing to see the evidence. If you have it,
- 13:53let's see it. One thing is definitely indisputable. At this point,
- 14:00y Epstein and Leon Black were tight. Jeffrey Epstein gave
- 14:04Leon Black a king's fortune, So go ahead and explain that.
- 14:09Black met Guselle Ganieva at a party in two thousand
- 14:12and eight. From two thousand and eight until twenty fourteen,
- 14:16the pair engaged in a sporadic consensual affair. Black's lawsuit claims.
- 14:20Ghanieva refutes this, accusing Black of defamation, intentional infliction of
- 14:25emotional distress, and gender motivated violence throughout their relationship, which
- 14:30ended in twenty fifteen when she was allegedly forced to
- 14:34sign the NDA and take hush money. Previously, in our past,
- 14:39here in this country, this is how it worked. If
- 14:41you were assaulted by somebody with dough, they'd pay you
- 14:43and that would be the end of it. Seems like
- 14:46the worms turning a little bit now and people are
- 14:48demanding a little bit more as they should. Gnieva's communications
- 14:55with Black between two thousand and eight and twenty and
- 14:58fourteen were mar by consistent expressions of love and affection
- 15:02on her part the suit claims Black paid for Ganieva's
- 15:05apartment but never had the key. He also paid for
- 15:09her acting lessons, financed expensive vacations, paid for a forty
- 15:13thousand dollars portrait of her, and purchased the Steinway and
- 15:16Son's piano for her son. He made a series of
- 15:19loans to her and attempted to assist her in finding
- 15:21employment in the finance industry. Yeah, because this is all
- 15:25out of the kindness of his heart. Mister Black is
- 15:28just such a kind man that he goes out and
- 15:30does this thing on a regular basis and you just
- 15:32don't hear about it because he's that kind of fella.
- 15:35Please miss me. With all of this, Black is seeking
- 15:41judgment in his favor, including compensation for damages and for
- 15:44any and all other monetary and or non monetary losses
- 15:48suffered by him. He is also seeking an award for
- 15:51damages for defendants gross wanton, malicious and outrageous misconduct, and
- 15:57award for attorney's fees. Speaking to The Daily Beast in June,
- 16:02Jean M. Christiansen, one of Ganiaevia's lawyers, said, in a statement,
- 16:06this cause is the epitome of why the me too.
- 16:09Movement exists in textbook fashion. Men with wealth, power and
- 16:13an army of elite lawyers continue to escape accountability for
- 16:17their heinous acts by twisting the legal system to penalize
- 16:21the victims for speaking up. Definitely the tactic that they've
- 16:26used forever, and definitely the tactic that Leon Black is
- 16:29employing here. Now, there's still a lot for us to
- 16:32find out. We don't know all of the all here,
- 16:36but when we're talking about anyone who was associated with
- 16:39Jeffrey Epstein, and not just on the outer rung, but
- 16:42somebody who was financing them, somebody that was very close
- 16:45to him, I sit up and I pay attention the
- 16:47second there's allegations thrown that person's way, because as far
- 16:51as I'm concerned, Leon Black should have already been caught
- 16:54up in a RICO investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, just like
- 16:57Apollo Global and everybody else whoever sent this dude or
- 17:01received one single cent from them. But this situation here,
- 17:06it's gonna continue to make its way through the court,
- 17:09and we're dealing with some high profile, high powered attorneys.
- 17:12So my guess is it's going to drag. But the
- 17:15good news we're gonna be here for the whole entire thing.
- 17:18We're gonna add it to the catalog when it happens,
- 17:22So until then, folks, that's gonna be it for this one.
