- 0:16Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Good morning, welcome back to another.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Come out of the wilderness.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It's 7am, y'all.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Sometimes it's a minute before because I'm excited and sometimes I hit start too fast, but I am so gracious.
- 0:30Speaker 1: God is so good.
- 0:31Speaker 1: So, for those of y'all who are new to seeing me, I'm on a lot of channels Facebook and LinkedIn and Twitter and YouTube, and especially on the Parade Deck live TV.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So I just want to do a quick shout out and good morning to everybody who is watching from wherever you are.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Good morning, Cindy.
- 0:52Speaker 1: And for wherever you're coming in from, whether you're catching the live or the replay.
- 0:56Speaker 1: God is so good.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Just thank you, father, for just allowing us another opportunity to come before you're in your word, and I pray that everyone will be blessed under the sound of my voice, live, replay or whatever Y'all.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So I'm going to be talking about praying for teachers and students, but I had to tell y'all this really quickly.
- 1:15Speaker 1: So, where I am?
- 1:16Speaker 1: I'm in Georgia and there's a crazy storm right now happening over my house, but it is so peaceful.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Normally we get some crazy thunderstorms, and this one it feels like the house is shaking, but at the same time, for me this is just so majestic.
- 1:34Speaker 1: It was a reminder of God's peace, like.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I know that doesn't make any sense, but, man, it just is something about when our Father, when God reminds us, when heaven reminds us, that y'all, it's just overwhelming.
- 1:54Speaker 1: So I'm just soaking that in.
- 1:55Speaker 1: But today, as we talk about divine protection, this is the time of year where a lot of us are sending either you're sending your kids back to school it could be elementary, middle college, whatever and a lot of teachers and staff and administrators are heading back into those buildings.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And my own, my daughter, started high school this year and as I was preparing for today, the first thing and again when I prepare, I'm going to the Lord to say what do you want me to say?
- 2:27Speaker 1: Not what I should say, but the first thing, before we go into Psalm 91, which I've talked about a lot, but it's around the spirit of fear, and so I'm going to drop this verse in the chat.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I'm just going to give y'all a little bit of context, because a lot of times what we do before we start asking for prayers of protection is we've got to address some things.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Okay, so we're going to address the spirit of fear.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So, second Timothy, timothy, one, verse seven.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Y'all know I love the ESB version.
- 2:58Speaker 1: It says for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self control.
- 3:05Speaker 1: And that is so important because, as a parent, I'm just going to be honest.
- 3:10Speaker 1: A lot of parents that I know took a huge sigh, a sigh of relief.
- 3:16Speaker 1: We were relieved when kids went into summer break because we didn't have to deal with the fear that we had for them going back into school buildings.
- 3:24Speaker 1: A lot of teachers that I know didn't go back and finish their career as teachers and I'm saying this as a woman who my mom, not in this country was a teacher my whole life.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Okay, but there's a spirit of fear of, you know, all of the things that we know happens on the school campuses that we don't wanna happen.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Okay, I don't even wanna put it out there, but there is a spirit, there was a.
- 3:48Speaker 1: There's a spirit of fear that parents have about kids returning.
- 3:51Speaker 1: There's a spirit of fear that actually leads to how we become so controlling.
- 3:57Speaker 1: So the spirit of fear, and that's why the Lord wanted me to show that he's not giving you this spirit of fear but of power, so a lot of times that this sense of fear comes from us not having any control over the situation and we wanna have power over it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I wanna have a power and a say in how my kid learns at school.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So now I'm gonna be a helicopter mom and I'm gonna tell the teachers what to do.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a spirit of fear and control and so now I'm gonna overbook my child because they've gotta do better than I did, because somebody's gotta graduate in my family.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I've gotta have this sense of power because they've got.
- 4:37Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Like we literally build these things up and then we give that to our kids and expect them come on, y'all, okay, expect them to figure this thing out.
- 4:46Speaker 1: 11, 12, 14, 15, they don't know.
- 4:49Speaker 1: So I have to start out.
- 4:52Speaker 1: He literally was like talk about the spirit of fear that we have, we grownups, we adults, we parents, we aunties, we uncles, we cousins.
- 5:00Speaker 1: We have the spirit of fear that we pass off to our kids and then we say, okay, lord, protect them.
- 5:07Speaker 1: So we'll just understand that again the verse says and I'm gonna throw back up again and you know, I tell you all the time go back to the word is, for God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control, okay.
- 5:24Speaker 1: So that's the first thing I wanted to just throw out there.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And the way that you get this power and of love and self-control is through the Holy spirit.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So that's your cheat code.
- 5:35Speaker 1: It's not us doing it by ourselves, okay, it's doing this.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It's doing this life, living this life with the power of the Holy spirit.
- 5:44Speaker 1: That's why you need help, okay, all right, so now I'm gonna share my screen and then we're gonna go into Psalm 91.
- 5:53Speaker 1: And again, I always do this If you don't have your Bibles, don't worry about it.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna share my screen and y'all can look it up later.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And Psalm 91 is man.
- 6:05Speaker 1: This is a Psalm that was given to me by my mother many moons ago.
- 6:11Speaker 1: My mother has passed on and I didn't understand how powerful this was.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And it's not just about, like, reading the Psalm.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I pray this Psalm over my daughter.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I pray it over my husband.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I pray it over myself, my business.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I prayed over my sister's circle, my prayer buddy, my prayer friends, audrey, I pray this over you, cindy.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I pray this over you.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I pray this over everybody who's connected to me in any way.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I pray this over people who are watching even all of our programs and I didn't realize the real power this has.
- 6:44Speaker 1: And again, if you go back and understand the word, that words matter, okay.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So, even understanding that, the way that we were created, the way that the Lord created, the way God created, go back to Genesis one, verse one.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Okay, that's a cheat, y'all, go back and look it up, but words matter.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And so when you start speaking things, speaking things literally into being, you start manifesting and you remove that cloak of fear, that spirit of fear that you would have had as a parent, worried about is my kid gonna come home today?
- 7:21Speaker 1: Or you remove that spirit of fear as a teacher or as admin worried about, are you gonna get set up by a coworker you don't like today?
- 7:29Speaker 1: You know, I'm just being real.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Okay, this removes is the spirit of fear for me.
- 7:34Speaker 1: My daughter was bullied in school.
- 7:36Speaker 1: She went through a whole period where she didn't really have any friends and it was terrifying y'all.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And I was praying Psalm 91 and I watched God work in her life.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So I'm sharing this from a real place of experience.
- 7:52Speaker 1: So when I come in the Psalm 91, I almost tell folks start at verse 14 and then go back, because it's not like you come in and you read some things and you literally speak.
- 8:06Speaker 1: You literally are speaking some things into being Right.
- 8:11Speaker 1: There's a condition that a lot of people miss.
- 8:14Speaker 1: So they start with the protection but they miss the you know.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Hey, before you even ask for protection, you got to have a relationship with Christ, right?
- 8:22Speaker 1: So let's start in verse 14 where it says behold, he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him.
- 8:29Speaker 1: That's the Lord talking to us.
- 8:31Speaker 1: We hold fast to him in love and he will deliver us.
- 8:34Speaker 1: That the Lord will protect us because he knows my name, like I know the name of Jesus.
- 8:40Speaker 1: That's the name that I call on.
- 8:42Speaker 1: How do I know him?
- 8:43Speaker 1: Because I have a relationship, right.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Imagine, like you know, you're calling out to a stranger to help you.
- 8:49Speaker 1: This is not a stranger situation.
- 8:50Speaker 1: You got to have a relationship with the Lord.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Then the verse 15 says when he calls to me, I will answer him, I will be with him in trouble, I will rescue him and honor him with long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So even this promise, I hold the Lord to this word.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Lord, you know me, I know you, you know me.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Deliver me and protect me, be with me in trouble, rescue my child, honor my child, you know, satisfy my daughter with long life and show her your salvation.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I start from the bottom up and then y'all, then I come back to the top.
- 9:27Speaker 1: The first verse one, where it talks about dwelling in the shelter of the most high and abiding in the shadow of the Almighty.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So this is again going back to having that relationship before you start asking for protection, okay.
- 9:40Speaker 1: So verse two, you know, talks about saying to the Lord my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust, is the position.
- 9:49Speaker 1: So, remember, we're moving from that, that cloak of fear, that fear, you know that, that sense of fear, like I can't control what's going down at school.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I can't control, you know, what's happening on the job, if you're at school or on the college campus, and so you're positioning yourself under the shadow of the Almighty right, you're positioning yourself with the Lord, my refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I trust.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't trust the security guard, but I surely trust the Lord.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Okay, I don't trust myself, but I surely trust the Lord.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Verse three talks about delivering you.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So, again, when I use, when I use this prayer, I pray this of my daughter, that the Lord will deliver Isabella from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
- 10:34Speaker 1: He will cover her with his penance.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'm just giving you instructions on how you use the words to speak into your own life.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Under his wings she will find refuge.
- 10:45Speaker 1: His faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
- 10:47Speaker 1: You know, shield is is pretty large.
- 10:49Speaker 1: It covers a wider area.
- 10:51Speaker 1: So if you visualize what a shield looks like, a buckler, something smaller, it's on your wrist, so it's not only covering those small things, but the shield covering all things.
- 11:00Speaker 1: All right, you will not fear the terror of the night or the arrows that fly by day, terror of the night, or or anything that's attacking you, your, your nightmares, or anything like that arrows that fly by day, any of the attacks or anything that's happening during the day, or or or another way to say this is things that you don't see and things that you do see.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Thank you, lord.
- 11:22Speaker 1: You will not fear the things that you see.
- 11:24Speaker 1: You don't.
- 11:25Speaker 1: You don't see your things that you do see, because that is also, you know, the way that we think.
- 11:29Speaker 1: We are so worried about the things that we can't control.
- 11:32Speaker 1: So, so you will not fear the terror of the night or nor the arrows that fly by day, things you will not fear.
- 11:38Speaker 1: The things that you you don't see, or things that you do see.
- 11:41Speaker 1: You don't have any fear at all.
- 11:42Speaker 1: No pestilence, nothing that starts in the darkness, nothing, no disruption that that waste that noon day.
- 11:48Speaker 1: You will not have that fear at all.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And then comes down further and it talks about in verse 8, you will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Recompense is the best way I can put it is like payback.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Okay, so a thousand may fall at your side, right.
- 12:06Speaker 1: So again, another part of the prayer all listen, all HE double hockey stick kids.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Could happen all around you.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Things could fall apart, literally, the building can come down, but no harm will come near you.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And you know, start talking about you, you know, using the name of your daughter or your sons or your nephews or your nieces, whatever.
- 12:25Speaker 1: You will only look with your eyes and see the payback come into the wicked.
- 12:29Speaker 1: All right, that's, that's the way that we position that, because and here again is why because you've made the lord your dwelling place, right.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Again, it's not you trying to come up with.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You know what are the Um, what are the things?
- 12:44Speaker 1: What are the?
- 12:44Speaker 1: What are the?
- 12:45Speaker 1: What are the things that I need to buy so that you know I can?
- 12:49Speaker 1: People paying for protection.
- 12:51Speaker 1: People are doing protection spells, y'all.
- 12:53Speaker 1: People are doing protection spells for their kids at school.
- 12:57Speaker 1: People are, um, you know, studying horoscope to see this gonna be a good school year.
- 13:02Speaker 1: It is nonsense.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Nothing, none of these, none of these things are gonna help you.
- 13:08Speaker 1: You've got to come under the lord.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So here in verse 9 he's saying because you've made the lord your dwelling place the most high, who's my refuge?
- 13:18Speaker 1: No evil shall be allowed to befall you.
- 13:21Speaker 1: And again, this is why he wanted me to start with the spirit of fear.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And it rolls really into do we believe when god says, look, no evil is gonna come near you?
- 13:30Speaker 1: Because when we see the news and hear all the things that are going on, we feel like we're out of.
- 13:35Speaker 1: You know, things are just kind of out of control and we have no control.
- 13:38Speaker 1: It's hard to accept that no evil is gonna come near my child or my or my son or my niece or my, my you know my principal or my, my counselor.
- 13:47Speaker 1: It's hard to believe that in the natural sense when you see these things going around you, and so that's why it's important that you have to have this trust.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You have to trust god that that when he says no evil is gonna be allowed to befall you and no plague come near your Tent, that he really means that.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Right, verse 11 for he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Lord, the lord will release angels To protect you.
- 14:14Speaker 1: But again, this isn't angel numbers, this isn't you praying the angels, it's, it's the.
- 14:19Speaker 1: For he will command his angels come out.
- 14:22Speaker 1: You don't have to command angels to do anything.
- 14:25Speaker 1: They're on assignment, on their hands, they will bear you up lest you strike off your foot against a stone and the power that comes with that.
- 14:34Speaker 1: In the inverse 13.
- 14:36Speaker 1: So this Psalm 91, again, you know, I just I really thought, and as I went back and I was like lord, how do I prepare my daughter For this school year?
- 14:45Speaker 1: Yeah, how do I prepare myself for this school year?
- 14:49Speaker 1: It really was.
- 14:50Speaker 1: You know, he was like you need to, you and the people need to need to address, address the spirit of fear, of fear because every day we send them out.
- 15:01Speaker 1: We have to trust God that he's gonna bring them back in the way that he chers.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And I mean, there, I had to.
- 15:08Speaker 1: How do I say this?
- 15:08Speaker 1: I had to give my daughter back to the lord, meaning I literally had to say, okay, she doesn't Belong to me, she's not mine, right, she is covered in the same way that I am covered and protected.
- 15:25Speaker 1: She is covered and protected in the same way that I have a sound mind.
- 15:30Speaker 1: She has a sound mind.
- 15:32Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that our kids aren't gonna make crazy decisions, because that's the journey.
- 15:36Speaker 1: We all have fallen and come short.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Okay, but we cannot allow the spirit of fear to take over the school year.
- 15:45Speaker 1: There's going to be many of us who are going to be watching news.
- 15:49Speaker 1: That is going to be shocking and disturbing because unfortunately, that is the nature of the society that we live in.
- 15:57Speaker 1: It's the truth and we are going to mourn, along other parents.
- 16:02Speaker 1: That is also the truth.
- 16:03Speaker 1: But we can't allow the spirit of fear to take over so that we are basically raising kids in that environment.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Right, we have to set the environment and if you have a relationship with the Lord and if you, you know, use these tools and resources that he gave us and if you truly believe that that he is.
- 16:25Speaker 1: You know, our Lord is faithful, right, he is.
- 16:28Speaker 1: He is absolutely faithful in what he is telling you.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm not sharing Psalm 91 just because I picked it out of the Bible.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I'm sharing stuff with y'all that I living for reals, okay, living for reals.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You know verses that I am for real, living, okay.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So I just pray that this is going to help somebody.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Before you pick up the Psalm, maybe just you know, you know, ask the Lord to help you lift off that blanket of the spirit of fear, whatever fear that that's cooking in it.
- 16:59Speaker 1: And I'm saying this again as a mom who is going through this now.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But now, because I believe that the Lord is, is going to take care of everything, I'm not worried at all.
- 17:09Speaker 1: So let's go into prayer y'all.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Before you, before you drop off, if you could please like the video, because that helps us get more eyeballs.
- 17:17Speaker 1: If you're on Parade Deck Live TV, make sure you follow us so that you can get notifications and and so we're going to go into prayer.
- 17:25Speaker 1: So, lord, we just thank you for another amazing opportunity to come before your Holy throne and and just present your word as as you said, lord, father, we ask that you will give us the strength to remove the spirit of fear that is on so many parents and teachers and admins and aunts and guardians and family members, a spirit of fear that is kind of lingering, lord God, over us and in the way that we respond, teaching us how to respond with your word, to fight our battles in a different way, not to fight our battles in being controlling.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Not to fight our battles in being helicopter parents.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Not to fight all bad our battles by, you know, trying to find you know crazy ways with small gods and all kinds of things that we're doing, to take some control back, to really understand the power of your word.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Lord God, we thank you that you have given us the wisdom and understanding to use this, these spiritual practices and principles, to help us go through another school year.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Lord, we pray for every single teacher who is standing in need of just basic tools for their classroom.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Lord God, that you will soften the hearts of parents and the communities to support them so that they'll have every single thing that they need in their classrooms.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Lord God, we play at the classrooms.
- 18:44Speaker 1: This year will just be a place of learning, not of politics, not of judgment, not of bullying, not of hate, lord God, we play that.
- 18:52Speaker 1: We pray that the classroom this year is a wonderful experience, that all children will be seen, lord God.
- 18:59Speaker 1: They will feel like they belong there, lord God, and they will experience true learning in an environment where they can exchange ideas.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Lord God, father, we thank you for every student that has a school to go to, especially, lord, in this country.
- 19:13Speaker 1: But we pray for the children in countries that don't have a school building, lord God, many children who are, lord God.
- 19:20Speaker 1: They're sitting outside on their laps with a pen and a paper and nothing else.
- 19:25Speaker 1: We pray for the children that don't have the resources, lord God, that you will provide for them, lord God, and even they will be blessed in some way, lord God.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Pray for the students, lord God, who are also carrying a spirit of fear.
- 19:37Speaker 1: That you will relieve them of that now that they will go into the school year with hope and with joy and with peace.
- 19:45Speaker 1: We pray for your mercy that you will cover them and protect them, lord.
- 19:48Speaker 1: We pray for every parent at every bus stop.
- 19:51Speaker 1: We pray for the bus drivers and all admins.
- 19:53Speaker 1: We pray for everybody in the cafeteria and every single person who's connected to every school, whether it's public or private or homeschool.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Lord, god, we pray that technology works, even for the homeschoolers.
- 20:05Speaker 1: And, lord, we know that you're our God of mercy, so we thank you.
- 20:08Speaker 1: We thank you for hearing our prayer.
- 20:10Speaker 1: We thank you for everything that you have already done.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Bless everyone under the sound of my voice, lord God, if they're a parent or a guardian, or they know kids in the neighborhood, that they would also become vessels of encouragement and inspiration for the children that are in their lives, and that this year will be a year where they show up God and they speak positive things into the lives of every child that's around them.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Forgive us for falling short, lord, god.
- 20:37Speaker 1: We thank you, lord, for this another opportunity and we bless your holy name.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Amen.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Y'all wasn't that awesome.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Oh, I love it.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I love God so much can you tell.
- 20:48Speaker 1: All right y'all.
- 20:49Speaker 1: So thank you so much for watching.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I will be back next Thursday.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Y'all do be kind to one another.
- 20:55Speaker 1: If you see a kid at the bus stop, say good morning.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Y'all you adults that are driving out the neighborhood so fast, slow down and say good morning to a kid today.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Okay, I'm team kids, so please be nice to the kids and your family.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Send them a nice note, something that's encouraging.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Lift up the kids that are in your life.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Don't be creepy about it, but just lift up the kids in your life and say something kind and encouraging to every child that you're connected to.
- 21:21Speaker 1: They need that.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Okay, they need that.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Don't bring your fear and crazy.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Just go out and be encouraging to all the kids in your life.
- 21:29Speaker 1: All right, thank you so much for watching and I will be back next week, not so long.
