- 4:13spirituality, mental health, and conspiracies. Experiencing paranormal most of his life,
- 4:18he became fascinated with the fourteen field. He says, enjoy history and
- 4:24keep these stories alive for future generations. Well, heck yeah, that's what
- 4:27we're doing here tonight. Please help me. Welcome to the show, my

- 4:36Hey? Oh my gosh, welcome, Welcome to spaced Out Radio. Thank
- 4:40you for being here, Thanks for having me. I appreciate it on it.
- 4:43I feel honored. Oh man, I am so excited. We're going
- 4:48to have a great show tonight because we're going to be talking about some really
- 4:51cool cryptids. What's going on with Maine, I mean, it's up in
- 4:57New England. You guys have some of the coolest cryptids, Kevin, Well,
- 5:00we have the weirdest cryptids, I would say, because we are weird,
- 5:04because this is where the weird ones are. Plug I know, did
- 5:11that? Did the Weird Cryptids inspire the title of your podcast? No,
- 5:15not at all. Actually it was the book Where the Weird Things Are That's
- 5:18what really inspired it. But my whole life, I've been told that I'm
- 5:23weird, and I'm just like, yeah, so what That's how That's kind
- 5:27of how it went. I knew I had I needed the word weird in
- 5:30my my my name. Essentially, Hey, us weird ones have to unite.
- 5:34Okay, that's what we put out. This good entertainment for everybody though.
- 5:39Okay, and we're we're surrounded by fellow weirdos, right. I love
- 5:43it. I love you guys. It feels good to be weird, That's
- 5:45all I'm saying. Yes, it does. Okay, Well, where should
- 5:49we start tonight? Because okay, first of all, maybe we should pull
- 5:53up a little map of Maine where where the cryptid sightings are. Okay,
- 5:57because and this is not all the cryptoid sightings. This is just some of
- 6:00the main ones. This is this is what main looks like in case for
- 6:05our people who don't live in the United States, you might not be familiar
- 6:10with Maine, but this is a map. There's what about ten cryptids listed
- 6:15right there all over the state, just to give you a visual of what
- 6:18we're going to be talking about tonight. Also, you know, I found
- 6:23I found some pictures online of some of your cryptids, So if you guys
- 6:26want to get a nice little little view, I mean, that's a lot
- 6:30of strange cryptids right there for one state. What is the history with Maine?
- 6:35Is there anything going on in Maine that that would cause you guys to
- 6:40have so many cryptids there? You think? I don't know in particularly,
- 6:46but it's it's really weird because, like I was just discussing this with a
- 6:50friend of mine that you know, the troop of Cabra, one of which
- 6:57is a well known cryptid. The sighting are what Texas and Central America,
- 7:01and then there's a sighting in Maine, and of all the states, it's
- 7:05like it's all like the southern area and then all of a sudden, there's
- 7:09just one sighting in main. Wow. I don't know. I feel like
- 7:14people have a little bit more of imagination when they're spending so much time in
- 7:17the backwoods, you know what I mean, and then they see this something
- 7:20and that something is indescribable to them, I guess, and it kind of
- 7:26happens to just be described as this this creature. But some of them kind
- 7:32of have pretty interesting stories, so and they're really fun to listen to.
- 7:40Absolutely. Okay, So what is your favorite cryptid and have you had an
- 7:44experience with a cryptid before? I actually have, well, I think I
- 7:49have. I have two experiences where I'm pretty sure one of them was a
- 7:56dog man and the other one may have been the you know, the skin
- 8:01walker kind sort of although we don't have like a lot of skinwalker like sightings
- 8:07up here, Like that's more like Arizona, New Mexico kind of thing,
- 8:13because it's a Navajo you know, it's a Navajo tribe thing. And yeah,
- 8:18so those experiences were first of all, the one that I think is
- 8:24a skin walker was freaking weird and it just happened in the middle of the
- 8:30day. And then my dog man one was probably the most well, I
- 8:33think it's a dog man. I don't know exactly what it was. I
- 8:37saw red eyes and I associated it at the time with a demon. I
- 8:39was like, there's a freaking demon outside my house. I need to get
- 8:43my gun. And so that's what I did. I got my gun,
- 8:45and I was scared the entire night. And then once I started really like
- 8:48looking into cryptids and whatnot, like just what was happening around that time,
- 8:52I was like, this might have been a dog man. Yeah my wow,
- 8:58Okay, so there aren't dog mens there. There's actually a pack of
- 9:03wolf wolf man, I want to say wolf man, but it's really just
- 9:05bipedal wolves like a path There's a very well known story that I just found
- 9:11out about. I didn't know anything about. Yeah, it's it's an interesting
- 9:18story. So it's uh, it happened in Palmyra, Maine. I can't
- 9:22remember what year it was, but I don't think it was very very long
- 9:26ago. But so this far, this guy, this husband and wife owned
- 9:33this farm in Palmyra and one night he's out in the fields and he sees
- 9:39these large dogs and he tells his wife about him. He tells his wife
- 9:46about them, and then uh so she's kind of scared a little bit.
- 9:50And then they start seeing the eyes just off the just raid on the cusp
- 9:56of their property in the woods. And stuff like that, and they they
- 10:01start seeing them and they're moving bipedally, and there's about three to five of
- 10:05these things, and so they end up coming up to the to the farmhouse
- 10:11and they're knocking on the walls, they're scratching on the windows, they're making
- 10:15noise. They end up hearing them on the roof and stuff. And now
- 10:18this guy's wife, for whatever reason, didn't like guns, so she made
- 10:24him keep his guns out in the barn, which is, you know,
- 10:28the best place to keep your guns when somebody's breaking into your house. Come
- 10:33on, because you don't want nothing more than to have somebody'd break into your
- 10:37house and have to run to your barn for your gun, you know what
- 10:39I mean. I bet they don't even in the barn anymore. Though I
- 10:43bet they don't because that was actually a key element to like this whole encounter,
- 10:46was that the the family got surrounded by these bipedal dogs. Uh they
- 10:54were, they were in the woodline, and I believe it so from I
- 10:58think it led to Godfrey had actually taken the reports and had talked about this
- 11:03before, and so this couldn't have been more than I don't know, hadn't
- 11:05have been within the past twenty years, okay for sure. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:09but they were seeing lights in the woods. I think they had just
- 11:13moved into this property. It was surrounded by dense woods, and the husband
- 11:16was disabled. I think he was out of work because of a disability,
- 11:22because the story that I know of, he ran to the barn to get
- 11:24his guns, yes, and he was messing with the lock, and they
- 11:30started coming up towards the barn and he got too scared, so he ended
- 11:33up not not getting into the barn to get his guns, and he ran
- 11:37back and they just basically huddled in an upstairs bedroom for the rest of the
- 11:41night. I know, imagine how scary that would be and look, and
- 11:46I think that part of the story was that they found every sharp object they
- 11:48could find so that they could stab whatever they came in the house. But
- 11:54I don't think that they would have been able to protect themselves, honestly,
- 11:56if the creatures had decided to come into their house. That's just me.
- 12:01But yeah, it's it's pretty terrifying. But they did survive the night,
- 12:07and they survived to tell about the story. And the next day I believe
- 12:11they went out and looked for tracks and they field bipedal dog tracks out there.
- 12:18Oh, so I just pulled it up real quick. He was out
- 12:24in the woods with his son. I didn't the story that I heard.
- 12:28It was just him and his just him and his wife. But apparently they
- 12:33had two kids, a son and a daughter as well that were in the
- 12:37house that night, so I didn't know that that. Yeah, their daughter
- 12:43was actually sleeping and I hopefully she stayed in bed the whole time. I
- 12:46didn't wake up, because that would be like Cripnonville says, like a B
- 12:50rated scary movie. Yeah it does. It sounds like it does. Absolutely,
- 12:54it absolutely does. But yeah, I'm trying because I was trying to
- 12:58figure out. I looked it up real quick just to try and figure out
- 13:03what the year was when the sighting happened. And yeah, it just it
- 13:07came up with they had a son named Sean, so that it's Eric and
- 13:11Shelley Martin are the names. But that's about it. I think it says
- 13:18October of twenty twenty two. Okay, oh, well that was the intent,
- 13:26but I don't know. That may have been when the article was put
- 13:28out, but yeah, that's what I'm thinking. That's what the article was
- 13:31Blenda Godfrey. I believe she's passed away now, So it's been it's been
- 13:35a little while, so it had to have been a while back when this
- 13:37happened. But nonetheless, they were being held hostage in their own house.
- 13:43And from what I can remember from the report was that when they would turn
- 13:46on the light, the motion sensor light outside would come on, the creatures,
- 13:50the bipedal dogs would not come into the light, so they didn't want
- 13:54to be in the light. They didn't want to be seen. And so
- 13:56that was his only protection was getting into that light when that light would come
- 14:01on. Uh. He never did make it to those guns, though,
- 14:03I tell you what I would Oh, I would be so mad if I
- 14:07was him, I would be so mad. Yeah, absolutely the same.
- 14:13I keep my I keep my gun right close. I keep my and my
- 14:16rifles hanging up on the wall where I can get to it if I need
- 14:20to. So, man, I might have one on me right now.
- 14:24I will never tell. I don't know, you know what I mean.
- 14:26Uh yeah, not a good place to keep it in the garage or barn
- 14:31whatever it was. But anyways, but that happened, Okay, So this
- 14:37happened, and and that's not the only report of like dogmen or possible dogmen
- 14:43in Maine. As a matter of fact, we had Kenny Kenny Thibodeaux on
- 14:46the show aka Star Fox with the North American dog Man Project. He was
- 14:52on last week. He's from Maine. Do you happen to know Kenny?
- 14:54Have y'all met before? He was on the show not too long ago.
- 14:58The episode it came out, I think it's one episode, one on one
- 15:03on on on on my podcast. So his camera was broken, so there's
- 15:09no YouTube video with with his episode, so we just recorded our audio.
- 15:13But yeah, he's he's a fantastic, fantastic person. I really enjoyed talking
- 15:18to him. He's just very monotned, like he doesn't seem very excited,
- 15:22but he's very intelligent, super intelligent. Yeah, no, we had a
- 15:28we had a really good time. That was a great show man we had.
- 15:30I had a great time. But yeah, there's there's all sorts of
- 15:33dog maat reports up there in that area. I've been made. So okay,
- 15:39well, well let's talk about some other cryptos because look, I I've
- 15:41told you before the show started, I was like, we're gonna have to
- 15:43get all these in. We have so many to talk about, and I
- 15:46want to get them in. Now I have to say I did so.
- 15:50I've seen a couple of people have mentioned that like a lumberjack tonight. Thank
- 15:54you guys. I know I look like a lumberjack. But I did this
- 15:56on purpose because I I wore this red flannel shirt in honor of the goat
- 16:03man in Maine. Because tell the audience what the goat man was wearing.
- 16:08Kevin So, the cherry Field goat man was seen wearing a flannel shirt,
- 16:15nothing other than nothing, like literally nothing else. So he had the bottom
- 16:19half was goat. His torso and his head were human, but he had
- 16:23goat horns, and he was wearing a flannel shirt. And the sighting happened
- 16:29in the fifties. So this hunter, he was like a logger or whatever.
- 16:33And he stopped at the gas station, filled up his tank, was
- 16:37driving, maybe just a couple miles after the gas station, and his truck
- 16:42just shuts off, and he's like, what the hell. So he gets
- 16:45out and he pops his hood. He's looking through everything, trying to check
- 16:49for electrical things and stuff. He gets under his truck and looking for leaks
- 16:53and stuff because he doesn't understand why his truck just stopped working and he had
- 16:57to pull over to the side of the road. And he gets up from
- 17:00looking underneath his truck and he sees this goat man wearing a flannel shirt walking
- 17:06across the street and he stares at it for a minute and the and it
- 17:10smiled at him and then continued on walking across the street into the woods.
- 17:14And that's the only ever sighting of the cherry Field goat man. And this
- 17:18guy probably reported it and then was because there's no name with the reporting,
- 17:22and he's probably like, keep my name out of this, because I am
- 17:26not getting run out of town because I'm crazy. Yeah, the yeah goat
- 17:33man is there's a lot of like gods and stuff referred to that are depicted
- 17:40as goats, like pan there's baphomett you know, the fawns and the Satyrs
- 17:45or whatever, and Greek and Roman mythology and all that stuff. It's it's
- 17:52been it's you know, it's a myth from for so long, for so
- 17:56long now it's it's no wonder that there's there's supposed sightings, and it really
- 18:03got wicked, Like goat man got really popular in the seventies, especially in
- 18:07Maryland. Oh yeah, Well, there's so many goat man sidings all over
- 18:11the United States. We have goat man here in Georgia. I think Texas
- 18:17has the record for the most goat men. If I if I had to
- 18:19do like a tally up of like who had the most goat man signings,
- 18:25I'd say Texas has a bunch. But there's a They're all over the place.
- 18:30And here's the one thing that I've find very interesting is that they are
- 18:33usually seen on a bridge. I wonder why, No, Yeah, it's
- 18:40it's It is really weird, especially Texas. Maryland also has a goat man
- 18:47bridge, which they call the Cryberry Cryberry cry Baby Bridge in Bowie, Maryland.
- 18:56So if so this like folklore of the goat man in Maryland, And
- 19:00if you park underneath the bridge, underneath this cry baby Bridge, you will
- 19:03hear either a baby crying or a goat braying, and you will all even
- 19:10see goat man himself. So it's it's interesting. So I don't know if
- 19:15there's like a certain time that you have to park underneath this bridge, but
- 19:22you know there's supposedly you're gonna if you do, you'll hear something fricking strange
- 19:27and then you'll see said goat man. Oh gosh, Okay. So I
- 19:33wonder if, like at a certain time of the night or when the sun
- 19:36goes down, are some sort of okay and I maybe going out on a
- 19:40limb here, but what if there's some sort of activation of a natural portal
- 19:44that opens up that things are able to come in and out of our dimension
- 19:48through you know, maybe maybe that's what it is, that's what That's what
- 19:52I'm kind of thinking of, some of some kind, because I mean,
- 19:56you hear like these weird stories like the like railroad roads where you park your
- 20:00car and put frig in uh baby powder all over her. You put baby
- 20:08powder all over your car and you can see like children's handprints or whatever.
- 20:14There is a goat man in Louisville, Kentucky. Rachel But yeah, So
- 20:21it's it's interesting that it's associated with the bridge in Texas. It's like a
- 20:25it's a railroad bridge, and I don't know what the Cryberry Baby bridges.
- 20:30I think that's a road, but there's a road underneath that goes underneath it.
- 20:34But with the the one, the goat man bridge in Texas has a
- 20:37river going underneath it and it's really high up. If you fall off that
- 20:41bridge, you're done. Oh my gosh, Okay, wow, you know
- 20:47there. I was just thinking, there's a whole lot not a whole lot,
- 20:48but there's multiple stories of buses that are on that gets stuck on a
- 20:55train track or a car, or like a bus that got hit by a
- 20:57train in a small town. We have a story like that here in Georgia
- 21:02where a bus This is allegedly I've never done my research on it, but
- 21:06they say that there's like a bus I hit the children where they passed away,
- 21:11And if you put your car on those train tracks, you put the
- 21:14baby powder on it. The hands are on your car. So that's not
- 21:17just like one localized story. It's like kind of the same story in these
- 21:21different towns all over the place. Now, I wonder if that, like
- 21:23it really happened, or it's just part of like a like a local legend
- 21:29that you know. I don't know. It's almost like maybe it didn't happen,
- 21:33or maybe it did. I don't know. I don't know who the
- 21:34originator of that story is, or if there were whole bits of buses that
- 21:37got hit. Man who knows something to look into though, Yeah, anything's
- 21:42possible at this point that I feel these days, you know what I mean.
- 21:48Yeah, I've done like a lot of looking into the Maryland goat man.
- 21:57And it's mainly said to be like a genetic experiment in Beltsville Agriculture Research
- 22:03Center in belts Beltsville, Maryland, and the research was done by doctor Stephen
- 22:10Fletcher. Now the research center absolutely denies all of this, which rightfully,
- 22:18so, I mean, come on now, So he supposedly doctor Fletcher supposedly
- 22:22did this experiment on his assistant William Watsford. And this was in the fifties,
- 22:29and the newly switched goat man changed goat man began to escape and began
- 22:38attacking h and attacking cars along what is it called Fletchville Road in in Maryland
- 22:48with an axe. So he gets escapes this experiment, this laboratory and starts
- 22:56chasing cars down with an axe. And in fifty seven in Forthville and Upper
- 23:03and Upper Marlborough in Prince George's County of Maryland, a young couple was parking.
- 23:11So if you don't know what parking is, it's something that teenagers tend
- 23:17to do and you park it somewhere and you go smooch, You get a
- 23:22little smoochy and handsy, but it's very dangerous because you might get a knock
- 23:26on your window by a dog man or a goatman. So just remember that.
- 23:30Remember that, kids. Yeah, so supposedly this kid heard this,
- 23:36heard a noise in the woods. He goes and investigates and never returns.
- 23:41So the next day they did a search for him, and they found his
- 23:45head hanging in a tree above where the car was parked, but they never
- 23:51found his body. And the weirdest thing is that sounds a lot like the
- 23:56hookman urban legend, you know what I mean, the hookman that escaped from
- 23:59this in asylum and then uh you know, descended on a couple in their
- 24:07parking the same the same thing. It was a part and he hung the
- 24:11boyfriend from the from a tree or something like that, right above the car.
- 24:15So like that, like the parallels to that are Yeah, that sounds
- 24:21like the bee readed scary movie that Cryptonville had mentioned earlier. It does sound,
- 24:26you know, it is kind of like an urban legend, I guess.
- 24:29And that's that was the phrase that I was looking for when I was
- 24:33trying to describe, like, why are these same stories in all these small
- 24:36towns, you know? I mean, I had a story that I never
- 24:38heard anybody, so I thought my family had made it up about mad mad
- 24:42in the woods and raw head and bloody bones. And then the little girl
- 24:48whose dog used to this is horrible. Maybe I shouldn't say that. I'm
- 24:51gonna go ahead and tell it. I'll tell the world. I had a
- 24:52story when I was a kid about My mom used to tell me that the
- 24:57the moral of the story was humans can lick too. Okay, that was
- 25:02what that was, like the end of this story. But uh, A
- 25:06little girl had her dog. Whenever she'd be scared at night, she put
- 25:07her hand beside her bed and her dog would lick her fingers to let her
- 25:11know she was okay. The dog was right there with her, and h
- 25:15one night she got scared and she she'd put her hand down to you know,
- 25:19make sure her dog was there, and he licked her fingers and she
- 25:22woke up with like something dripping on her head and it was her dog's head,
- 25:26like nailed to the wall, and it had a note that said humans
- 25:30licked too. What it was, how horrible those were a kind of story
- 25:36that I got told as a kid. That was my bedtime story. Okay,
- 25:38So if anybody wonders why I am the cryptied Hunters today, okay,
- 25:45I ain't scared of nothing because I grew up on really scary stories like that.
- 25:49But yeah, so I don't know. I would not be surprised if
- 25:52other people have heard those stories too. Where I thought that my family was
- 25:56making those stories up, but I've heard people in the cryptid community talking about
- 26:00that on their podcast, about raw Head and bloody Bones and Madmond and stuff.
- 26:04So yeah, so I think I'm like egocentric thinking it was just my
- 26:10family that told those stories. But yeah, they're everywhere. Okay, okay,
- 26:17okay, so we have somebody else in the chat said they heard that
- 26:18when they were a kid too, Thank you. I never did. I
- 26:22never did, Yes, I usually I usually got fists to the faith before
- 26:27I went to the best. So as a kid, no, Well,
- 26:32I mean I used to fight with my brother and my sister a bit too,
- 26:34so you know, but oh my gosh, Okay, well let's get
- 26:38back to these cryptids. I know that was not really a cryptid story with
- 26:41that humans can look too, but it's good. That's a scary story.
- 26:45I'm scared now, it was. That's what we're here for. We're here,
- 26:49We're here for the creepy factor tonight. Sure. Okay, So so
- 26:55we got all these goat men everywhere. There's not just that one goat man.
- 26:59There's actual another cryptid that looks kind of like a goat man. And
- 27:04what is the name of that thing? Okay, let me let me pull
- 27:07this out. Hold on, I'm going to find it here because it is
- 27:11called the Tate Road shaga mout or shagam, the Tate Road Shagam. Now
- 27:17have you heard of this before? I have not. I have a picture
- 27:21of it right here. It looks kind of like a goat man. Okay,
- 27:27it does. Now, let me let me read my my research I
- 27:30did here. Okay. It's a large creature with the fore paws of a
- 27:33bear and the hind legs of a moose. Shy and harmless. Yeah right,
- 27:40it says shy harmless and you look like that. Come on, now
- 27:44what It says that it changes tracks, walks, erect and paces in a
- 27:48quarter in quartermount intervals. It eats clothing. Okay, so that's weird.
- 27:53Instead of eats clothing like if people either boots out or any kind of like
- 27:59if it finds a kind of it's almost like a goat. I guess,
- 28:02so anything, right, But but it lives in the woods and and it
- 28:07has been spotted by loggers lumberjacks. Okay, but but it's not seen wearing
- 28:15flannel shirts apparently. It's it's all the way naked, all right, naked
- 28:19bite human standards. Yeah, it targets wooden shoes, it does. Okay,
- 28:25So it does looks like a sloth monster, that's right, sloth,
- 28:29it does. It looks like a sloth too, it does. It looks
- 28:33like a spot with goat legs. So if I can real quick, I
- 28:37do have this book. It's called Mythical Creatures of Maine. It's written by
- 28:45Christopher Packard. It's you know, it details a ton of cryptids here in
- 28:52this state. And have you heard so that map that you brought up of
- 29:00Maine of the different cryptids, Agripelter is one of them. And no,
- 29:06the other one that you have, okay, this one, yeah, there
- 29:10you go. The very first one is Agripelter, and it's in this book
- 29:14and he talks all about it, and I believe he details pretty much all
- 29:18these cryptids right here on this on here, and you you know, you
- 29:25got we have Bigfoot, and we have sightings of Bigfoot, we have sightings
- 29:29of Cassie, the Casco Bay Sea Monster, we have Casco Bay Merman.
- 29:34Okay, so can we can we talk about this for a second because this
- 29:40is a very interesting one. So you guys are on the coast. Okay,
- 29:42it's no secret. You guys are right there on the on the water.
- 29:45And so these reports go back to the seventeen hundreds and and so,
- 29:52and it was mostly by people that were on ships. Okay. Now this
- 29:56is described as like a snake serpent, like a very snake light it's a
- 30:00serpentine monster. And it's been cited throughout the years from the seventeen seventy nine,
- 30:06there was a sighting in eighteen eighteen, a siting in eighteen thirty six,
- 30:11siting in nineteen oh five, nineteen ten. But do people still see
- 30:15that today? There hasn't been any recent sightings that I personally know of.
- 30:26But I mean, also, all these cryptids are also detailed in Lauren Coleman's
- 30:32Cryptozoology Museum, which I just so happened to be wearing the shirt. I
- 30:37don't know if you can see it, maybe i'll stand up. Oh.
- 30:41I love that you guys have an actual It's like the International Cryptozoology Museum.
- 30:45I was looking at that. I've got to come up there and visit sometime
- 30:48because that sounds really cool. Supposedly he's moving it to Bangor, which is
- 30:53going to be a lot further from me, because Portland's only an hour from
- 30:57me. Bangor is three hours from me. Yeah, it looks similar to
- 31:02NeSSI. Yeah, and that's why it's called Cassie is a play on the
- 31:07on the name NeSSI so and it and it's Casco Bay, so it goes
- 31:11with Casco which Casco Bay is a part of Portland. It's just like a
- 31:15it's the bay area where you know, ships are porting and and whatnot.
- 31:19And then the merman, the merman that those are ridiculous. I don't even
- 31:25like. Yeah, okay, so of course I had to find like the
- 31:29most scary, ugly creature merman I could find. Okay, because when you
- 31:33when you google merman, they're too pretty. Let's just say, okay,
- 31:37they're too pretty, and we're not looking for pretty merman. We're looking for
- 31:40scary Merman in Okay, I'm want a scary Merman all right for the show
- 31:45tonight. So anyways, this is the best one I can find because some
- 31:49people, Okay, so I was getting confused, like is the is Cassie
- 31:55considered to be a Merman? Or is Cassie the sea serpents or are they
- 32:00two separate entities? They're two separate Yeah, Cassie is is this the serpent?
- 32:07And it's said to be as big as a ship? So big as
- 32:12a ship? Wow, that's awesome. Yeah, okay, yeah, Ohbrian's
- 32:17in the chat. Hey, Ryan, Ryan Trimblay. Every time somebody mentions
- 32:21Merman, I think of Merman from the Masters of the Universe. Yeah,
- 32:23well I was thinking of like, what was that Aquaman? Well, there
- 32:30was pretty cute, you know. There was video. Yeah, there's this
- 32:32videos recent videos that it was going viral on TikTok of this fisherman off the
- 32:39post of Cape cod. He was ship, he was fel out there fishing
- 32:45and he had these two things just keeping up pace with him on each side,
- 32:50and they look like if you look inside, they kind of almost like
- 32:53I mean, I don't know if my imagination just likes to put things where
- 32:58they shouldn't be. But they almost kind of like people in the water,
- 33:00just keeping up paced, you know, look like regular hands almost, And
- 33:07and it was doing like dolphin like stuff, but it didn't look like a
- 33:09freaking dolphin, you know. And then he stopped on the ship and like
- 33:15he's walking around the ship. There's nobody on the ship except for him,
- 33:19and I think there was like two other guys. And you can hear singing
- 33:24out on the ocean and it's dark so you can you can't see. He's
- 33:28like, where are you? And I'm just like, oh my god,
- 33:30get the fuck out of there, bro get go home, Go home,
- 33:34go home right now. Yeah, I mean it's well, there's sirens and
- 33:38the murr people let's just call them mr people. They'll lure you into the
- 33:44water, you know, they'll they'll send a scout out, they'll send their
- 33:46siren out and and trick you and take you to the depths of the ocean
- 33:51and where you're never seen again. Probably I think they're going to eat you
- 33:54if if you get caught with one of these right here. Those two are
- 33:59for eating. Yeah, even when, yeah, even when I go and
- 34:02have a beach day, I probably go up to my waist and that's about
- 34:07it, you know what I mean. Like the ocean is eighty seventy five
- 34:12eighty percent undiscovered. I'm not messing around with it. You can keep it
- 34:15out there. It's a lot harder for me to get away from things out
- 34:19in the ocean because I can't swim as fast as I can run, you
- 34:22know what I mean. And that's that's another reason why I go to the
- 34:24gym so much, and you know what I mean, And I run so
- 34:28I can have the lung capacity to get away from things if I need to
- 34:30get away from them exactly. I know. Actually, you know, it's
- 34:36really sad because I for some reason, a shark attack came up on my
- 34:42feet. I'm like, when are my social media posts or my sites that
- 34:45I was on And I didn't want to see this, but I watched a
- 34:47man get eaten by a shark the other day and I was so I was
- 34:51kind of mad, like I don't know why I'm getting and make that maybe
- 34:53why I keep getting more videos like that now because I actually watched so thanks
- 34:59thanks Instagram, appreciate that. Now it's some algorithm. So now I'm getting
- 35:04some people getting eaten by by predators now, I guess, but yeah,
- 35:07yeah, Well One Nothing podcast definitely did an episode on shark attacks and they've
- 35:12been sharing a shark attack, a shark attack of video, so that maybe
- 35:16that's what the video you saw recently. Yeah, and no, it might
- 35:22be, but I don't I don't know. I'm not sure where it came
- 35:23from. But nonetheless, we have a lot of things to worry about,
- 35:28not only in the water, but on the land too. In in Maine.
- 35:32I mean, I would, I would definitely watch my back every time
- 35:36I'm out in the woods doing research up there. There's obviously a lot.
- 35:40I mean, if if there's a cryptozoology museum in Maine, that means that
- 35:45there's a lot of cryptids up there. I'm just gonna put it down there.
- 35:49We have a Bigfoot Museum in North Georgia, right in the middle of
- 35:52Bigfoot country, So I would assume Lauren knows something about the cryptids up there.
- 35:58Including there's there's another dog man type beast in Maine. It's called the
- 36:01Turner Beast. Are you familiar with that one? A little bit? Like?
- 36:06It's it like, I don't know much about it. I know it's
- 36:08like it's supposedly like a cross between a wolf and a coyote or whatever.
- 36:15But it's huge. Oh you know what I mean. Well, wolves are
- 36:16huge. But it's supposedly somebody killed it, like they accidentally hit it or
- 36:22something like that. And I don't know. It kind of looks like a
- 36:29just a regular dog a little bit, but it is a big dug.
- 36:32It is really big. I'm only going to show that for a second because
- 36:36that is a deceased animal. Deer, okay, but but there's okay,
- 36:39So this thing is supposed to be just okay. So when you look at
- 36:45pictures, they don't really show it on two legs like bipedal. It's usually
- 36:47just like a large wolf. But it's but it looks the way people describe
- 36:52it as just a bulky shoulders, big eyes, a flat, flat snout.
- 36:57It's like a flat nose. It's like a short faced dog, I
- 37:00guess, with mangled ears and a bushy taell. But people, it was
- 37:04whatever that deceased animal was that I just showed. It was proven to be
- 37:08a hybrid of some sort, and they said it was like a dog and
- 37:12a a wolf I think, or like a dire wolf. Is what they
- 37:15said. But yeah, whenever, whenever this dog was spotted, they said
- 37:20it was at least one hundred and twenty pounds. Like, listen, I
- 37:22have a German Shepherd. It's about that high. So she's like the size
- 37:25of a wolf herself. But yeah, the picture, the picture of the
- 37:30decease of the deceased dog, like it looks like a normal dog, Like
- 37:34it's a big dog, but it just it's not dire wolf size. In
- 37:37my face again, it just has a weird looking face. Okay, So
- 37:42and it has blue beautiful it would have been beautiful. I don't know why
- 37:45they'd heard it, you know, almost like a husky because the book diries,
- 37:49you know it does. Okay, let's move on to another really cool
- 37:52cryptid that I had never heard of. It's called the bill Dad. What
- 37:58is a building? Ever heard of this one? Either, to be honest
- 38:01with you, I might have to go look for But I do know that
- 38:05there's jack rabbits up here, which are rabbits with horns that are pretty big.
- 38:09That could be maybe I don't know, thrown into this bill Dad thing.
- 38:15But you know, like a jack, like a jack a loop,
- 38:21just like a kangaroo. Yeah, they're pretty big. Okay, wait and
- 38:25sing it. So is that a thing? So rabbits can have horns?
- 38:29Real? Because I thought that was something that people made of. Yeah no,
- 38:32Jack, Okay, well interesting, I've never heard that rabbits have horns
- 38:38ever. Okay, wait, anyways, all right, we're going to look
- 38:42into that. I might do a show on that. But this is called
- 38:45the bill, dad, Okay, this is a boundary pond is where this
- 38:49thing has been spotted. It resembles a beaver with long hind legs, short
- 38:52front legs, webbed feet, and a hawk like bill, known for its
- 38:57unique fishing technique involving leaps and tails max to stun and catch the fish.
- 39:02It's approximately the size of a beaver. It shy, it's hard to catch,
- 39:07incredible and leaping abilities, known to leap past fish to stun them with
- 39:12its tail before eating them. Mostly eats fish, and it eats bugs that
- 39:16are on top of the water as well. But this thing looks like it's
- 39:20got a beak. It looks like a kangaroo. It looks like a marsupial.
- 39:25It's just weird. This is weird. It's got like birdlike feet.
- 39:30I don't know. I think little t rex arms. That's right. It
- 39:37looks almost like a dinosaur or something something from like the I don't know,
- 39:43it just looks like something that could have been. It's almost like a modern
- 39:46day dinosaur or something. To me, I don't know. Yeah, so
- 39:52I don't if anybody in the chat has ever heard of this, I'm sorry,
- 39:54I haven't really been looking, but marsupial, marsupial. Yeah, it's
- 40:00like it's just a weird hybrid mix. Now, Okay, so these are
- 40:05some very odd I mean, that's an odd animal. Do you think that
- 40:07this is regional like it's been here forever? Like, what is your take
- 40:09on that? Could there be like some kind of secret I know this is
- 40:14stretching it, but like secret government programs where they're making like hybrid animals out
- 40:17there, just kind of like the chupacabra. I you know, I wouldn't
- 40:22put past them, to be honest with you, especially after they brought all
- 40:24the Nazi scientists over here after World War two and stuff. You know,
- 40:29the Nazi scientists were into some weird ash stuff and yeah, so I wouldn't
- 40:37put it past them to put the do any kind of like experiments, just
- 40:40like the dog man experiment that happened in the fifties, I mean the goat
- 40:45man sorry experiment that happened and you know the in Maryland. There we go.
- 40:55You know, I wouldn't put them what I would definitely wantn't put it
- 40:59past as a lot of these creatures like cryptids and stuff like that being laboratory
- 41:06created. Yeah, lab created, Like Earth is just one big laboratory,
- 41:10I guess. Cool stuff though. Okay, so we have more, but
- 41:15wait, there's more, okay, because we got that really cool bill Dad,
- 41:20which that is a strange name for an animal building is okay, I
- 41:23don't know who came up with that one. We have something that's called I
- 41:27mean, it's referred to as a white walker. Okay, and what is
- 41:31the actual name? Let me see him in notes here? That's yeah,
- 41:37do you know anything about the kuka? So it's kind of like that.
- 41:44So it's like, uh, it's essentially like a zombie When to Go?
- 41:49Well, When to Go is described as a as a zombie. But that's
- 41:52essentially the story behind behind this, you know what I mean, Like,
- 41:59it's it's the from what I know of I mean, maybe the research will
- 42:05tell you different, but from what I know of. They basically do the
- 42:08same thing as wind goes. Yes, okay, it does sound like a
- 42:13wind to go. It's a okay, this is This is from what I
- 42:16found today when I was doing some research. It's a gigantic humanoid with an
- 42:21unending appetite for human flesh and a heartbeat of ice in the shape of a
- 42:27human figure, which the weird. It was once feared with a deep primal
- 42:32dread, and I'm sure it will be. Uh, it's going to put
- 42:37fear in people's hearts now, Okay, once we talk about this tonight,
- 42:40hopefully not y'all. Don't live in fear. Okay, don't live in fear,
- 42:44please. But the it is actually so walka keywakaua translate into walks about
- 42:52the woods, walks about the woods. And the name itself is a warning.
- 42:58Uh, it says, well, most of the stories were passed down
- 43:01orally and oral tradition around a campfire, of course, but it is something
- 43:07that the natives have talked about for a long time. But it is uh,
- 43:10it's clever. It it is cannibalistic. Okay, so it is.
- 43:16It is very much like a wind to go. Okay, But it looks
- 43:20like a white walker. Uh and and for people who aren't familiar with white
- 43:22walkers, this is from the Game of Thrones, okay, and they had
- 43:27something called white Walkers. I'm actually looking at all these shows differently now,
- 43:30Kevin. It's almost like soft disclosure. Okay, ye oh my god.
- 43:36Yeah right. I mean, even like the fantastical stuff, like even like
- 43:39Harry Potter and stuff. I mean there's all this magical stuff, all these
- 43:45cryptids, all these scary characters. I think that there's some truth behind it.
- 43:49I mean, uh, the uh, the language of spelling, you
- 43:53know, you know that it's their spells. That's why that's called spelling.
- 44:00Oh so yeah, I don't know. I feel like there's a lot of
- 44:04symbolism and movies and stuff like that. So that's that's my my brain of
- 44:10thought. So not that everybody should share it. I mean, who knows.
- 44:15Maybe I'm incorrect, but you know, I think there's I think they
- 44:20tell us things inside of of what they're creating to show us. So that's
- 44:25that's that's where I'm at on that. So they're having us, okay,
- 44:30we're they're having us create a dystopian reality basically is what that is. I
- 44:36think we have a super chat tonight. Chris Holm, thank you so much
- 44:39for that. We appreciate that. But he wants to know, Kevin,
- 44:43can you please come shovel his sidewalk? He said, he or you're good
- 44:45at it. You guys must know each other. Yes, okay, I
- 44:51just I just posted a video yesterday because so we got a really bad storm
- 44:54up here in Maine yesterday, a lot of people without power as I snow
- 45:00slash snowstorm and I got we got six inches here and it was still kind
- 45:06of warm out. So I was out in short shorts and in boots,
- 45:10in a hat, a hat on, and I was shoveling. So and
- 45:15I made of it. I saw that. I was like, who is
- 45:20that? It was you? I was just like dumbing through, okay,
- 45:22and you're yeah, that was okay. I see what you're talking about.
- 45:27That's funny. Okay. Well, I hope you. I hope you guys
- 45:30stay. Oh my god, okay, back to the cryptids. Oh my
- 45:35gosh, back to the cryptids. Okay, So we also have we because
- 45:37we've got a few. We got about ten more minutes tonight, so let's
- 45:40let's go over these other ones. We have the specter moose too. Okay,
- 45:45so let's talk about the spect moose. What do you know about this
- 45:49thing? So the spector moose was also seen in the fifties Ish area.
- 45:54Oh no, it was late eighteen hundreds, I'm sorry, or early nineteen
- 45:59hundreds. Either way, it was seen by this gentleman who was who was
- 46:04doing a guided hunt and this is the first sighting he sees this big,
- 46:08majestic Now, this moose is you know, it's white, so it's you
- 46:13know, there are such things in real life. As you know, an
- 46:15albino moose, albino anything is is real. But this moose is huge.
- 46:22The rack is ten times bigger than a normal moose, and it's almost like
- 46:27a paranormal blow to it, like ghostly kind of like you know, apparitionist
- 46:31in a way. And it's said to have two different effects. Either you're
- 46:37left in awe and you just feel so good about life, or you feel
- 46:40doomed, much like Mothman, the harbinger of doom. Doom. It's almost
- 46:45said to be like a harbinger of doom, so like it you see it
- 46:47right before something bad happens, or you see it and you feel good for
- 46:52the rest of your life or something like that. Now, this guy sees
- 46:54this on this hunting trip, decides not to shoot it because for he was
- 47:00just like struck by awe and he decides to start telling people about it.
- 47:07And people are like, man, you're crazy, and he's like, I'm
- 47:08swear to God, I'm not crazy. And then some gentlemen from New York
- 47:13comes up here for hunting and sees it too, and then he starts telling
- 47:16people that he saw has seen this moose. And then people are like,
- 47:21well, maybe there's something to it. And suppose there's been sightings all up
- 47:25until like present day, and there was a there. Supposedly there was.
- 47:30There's also another story where they actually caught this moose, strung it up,
- 47:37slid its throat to let it drain, because you know, they were preparing,
- 47:39you know, to skin it and stuff and use the meat and all
- 47:44that stuff like hunters do. I know, it's a little gross and maybe
- 47:46some people aren't into hearing about that, but that's what they did. And
- 47:52they left their camp site and they came back and the moose was gone.
- 47:55And then like down a couple of miles down the road, this guy is
- 48:00out in front of his yard, sees this moose bleeding from its throat and
- 48:06is like get scared. Uh, picks up his gun and shoots at it,
- 48:10and then the moose charges him, and then he drops the gun.
- 48:14And supposedly, this is the funniest part of like the sightings, is that
- 48:19this moose picked up this gun and started shooting the gun at the with its
- 48:23mouth, like he picked it up with its mouth and started and the gun
- 48:25started firing at the guy's house. That that story I don't believe, but
- 48:30I do believe in like the apparitionist like kind of stories. And I actually
- 48:37am considering on doing like a little documentary out on Lobster Lake on on these
- 48:42sightings. Yeah, I think you totally should. I think, you know
- 48:46what, you have such a wonderful you know, you have so many wonderful
- 48:51cryptids out there. I mean it can be kind of dangerous because you have
- 48:54several that are similar to dog Man, and you have the wind to go
- 48:59up there. I mean, we don't. We don't have any sightings and
- 49:00windigoes that I'm sure off here in Georgia. I've never heard of any here.
- 49:06So yeah, well, when to go is are associated with a cold
- 49:09environment, scarcity of food, so like starvation and stuff like that, and
- 49:15then people turn to you know, cannibalism as as a way for food to
- 49:21sustain life. And it's said to be like there's a spirit and it takes
- 49:27over your body. So you become possessed by the when to go spirit and
- 49:30you turn into this grow crow crow grotesque thing and you start devouring everything in
- 49:37your site, not just humans, just anything living really, and you know,
- 49:43you don't discriminate. You see a human, You're you're gonna go after
- 49:45it no matter what. So that's essentially the lore of when to go and
- 49:52when to go. Sightings are all across like North America, so Canada,
- 49:58northern United States. They're all over the place. There's in the Nahani Valley
- 50:02there's sightings of whend to goes and stuff like that. So it's it's a
- 50:10it's an interesting entity. Now, I will say, a real when to
- 50:15go does not look like a deer When to go in pop culture was seen
- 50:21in like the movies or a comic book with uh wearing a skull uh deer
- 50:25head skull with the antlers on it, and then ever since then it's been
- 50:30depicted as you know, this thing with these huge antlers. But it's just
- 50:35like this really, it's more like the white walker that you've shown earlier.
- 50:38Is how when to Go looks. But it's like it's limbs are stretched out
- 50:43bigger it's and it's be it becomes a lot bigger in size, and it
- 50:50looks very sickly, like malnourished, and it's it often even like eats its
- 50:54own frickin' It has no lips because it ate its own lips because it's so
- 50:59hungry, you know. So it's getting anything that it can that it can
- 51:04get, and it'll even eat itself. Oh my gosh. Okay, that
- 51:08sounds terrifying. And also I was reading that it prefers to eat children.
- 51:15Now I don't know I've read that in one article, but I mean,
- 51:19I would assume it just eats anything. So yeah, it may be a
- 51:23cautionary tale to keep kids out of the woods when and by themselves. Yeah,
- 51:28could be. But a lot of these a lot of these things seem
- 51:30to like children too, And and I think that a lot of these things
- 51:35are our tails for children to be more cautious. Yes, yeah, Ryan
- 51:42Trimbley says the deer stag had started with Albaron Albernon Blackwood's book, So it
- 51:47started off in a book, So that's the book kind of where that's come
- 51:51from. Now. I was reading that they can be up to like ten
- 51:53feet tall, I mean super huge. I mean we have we have bigfoots
- 51:58that are big like that, you know, But to think of a big
- 52:01cannibalistic white walker coming in, Yeah, it's just like it easy you and
- 52:06it just it wants nothing to do other than to get you, you know
- 52:10what I mean. Okay, Well, I was invited up to Maine potentially
- 52:15to come do some wind to go searching. I don't know if I may
- 52:20be busy that week now, just kidding shout out cryptid Warfare, Drew Ski
- 52:25and Zook. It's not exactly. Yeah, they're they're there, may be
- 52:30planning a trip out there, and it was kind of floated around to see
- 52:32if I might be interested in going. So I might. I might have
- 52:35to make a trip up there just to come to that cryptozoology museum that you
- 52:39guys have that sounds like a lot of fun, and it's a lot of
- 52:43fun. It's it's pretty interesting and I'm interested to see his new place once
- 52:49he gets it. Up in bangor so because the museum in Portland that his
- 52:57area is kind of small, and I feel like it's a little tight.
- 53:00So oh yeah, well you got plenty to talk about up there with all
- 53:05of these amazing cryptos. And on top of all of this, we also
- 53:08have bigfoots up there, right, you have sasquatch sightings and bigfoot. Of
- 53:13course I had to I got a couple of pictures of what but y'all know
- 53:15what bigfoots look like. We talk about bigfoot. This this is my goofy
- 53:19bigfoot right here. I like that one. Yeah, but yeah, no,
- 53:22no shortage of that. Now you're you're right there, like on the
- 53:24border. We're in Canada basically too, so very cold. What what is
- 53:30your climate like up There's usually I mean it's super cold during the winter.
- 53:34But what's it like during the spring and the summertime in Maine. Well,
- 53:37this year, in the spring we have snow and eighteen degrees so that was
- 53:43fun to encounter yesterday. But yeah, so normally springs just you know,
- 53:49you know, forty fifty six sometimes sixty degrees. Winter can be extremely cold.
- 53:54It's usually January February that is the is the worst. Like most northern
- 54:00states, and yeah, it's summer. Can we've I think our record high
- 54:07is like one hundred and ten for temperature. Oh wow, I think I'm
- 54:14pretty sure if I remember correctly. But fall is my favorite because I love
- 54:17I love spooky season. Spooky seasons my favorite and I enjoy like I don't
- 54:24get me wrong. I love summer. I love being outside in the summer.
- 54:28I love gardening, I love nature. I love hiking and all this
- 54:30stuff. But you can still hike in the fall. You can hike your
- 54:35round really honestly, but hiking in the fall is the best because you get
- 54:39so many colors up here. That Kevin, that's coming from a guy who
- 54:45who plows the snow in shorts and no other clothes, okay, and a
- 54:52free hat. So okay, I love it. I love it. You're
- 54:57so hilarious. This has been a great show, and thank you so much
- 55:00for being here. Please tell the audience where they can find your podcast and
- 55:05any anything else you'd like to share. All right, So it's where the

- 55:36so I'm not sure what. I can't even remember what they're called,
- 55:39but it was interesting to find out. But yeah, it's a conversational podcast
- 55:45based around people's experiences and encounters with all this weird stuff, you know,
- 55:50and I love talking to people about, you know, mental health, especially
- 55:53with these sightings and encounters because often times we are left with our own thoughts
- 56:00because we don't want to tell anybody because we think we're crazy and we you
- 56:02know, and we don't want other people thinking we're crazy. But you know,
- 56:07I just want to provide that safe space for somebody to tell me their
- 56:12story. And you know, if you want to do it without being recorded
- 56:16or whatever, I totally can do that too. Or if you want to
- 56:21do audio only and you don't want to do the YouTube aspect, I do
- 56:23that too. So if you want to be featured on the show, you
- 56:27can get me at where the weird Ones are at gmail dot com. I

- 58:13kangaroos and stuff. So you never know what you're going to encounter in these
- 58:16woods. That's why I always say, keep your head on a swivel.
- 58:20Always tell somebody where you're going before you go into the woods at night,
- 58:23or go into the woods period. Just take pre caution, y'all. Okay,
- 58:28And yes, there are goat ladies too, Brandon, I saw that
- 58:31there's not just goat men, there are goat women. And yes, somebody
- 58:35else earlier asked if there were dog women. Absolutely, they're dog women.
- 58:39There's got to be females to all of them, right, So yeah,
