- 0:06Speaker 1: It is that time.
- 0:07Speaker 2: It is I I am it is that's true, though, No,
- 0:11Speaker 2: you are the problem normally and here on a day
- 0:13Speaker 2: to day basis. If you ever wonder what's gone down
- 0:15Speaker 2: in the studio, it was Angie's fault.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Okay, it's time for am I the problem?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Where you send us your side of the story and
- 0:24Speaker 3: we help you figure out if you're in the right
- 0:27Speaker 3: or if maybe, Jess, maybe you're the problem. So Jared
- 0:32Speaker 3: wrote into us good morning, gave an Angie. I can't
- 0:35Speaker 3: believe I'm actually writing to you, but it can't hurt.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I'll take any help proving to my wife I am
- 0:41Speaker 3: not the problem.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Already on this guy's side, Okay, I have to deal
- 0:46Speaker 2: with every day trying to get No.
- 0:47Speaker 4: I'm just kidding.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Our son is seventeen and we're having the college talk.
- 0:52Speaker 3: He wants to go to a sixty K plus a
- 0:54Speaker 3: year's school.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah, sixty K.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I told him that is great and he will have
- 1:02Speaker 3: to work for it if he wants to go. My
- 1:05Speaker 3: son does have a college fund with about ninety five
- 1:08Speaker 3: K in it. Oh that's nice. I don't have a
- 1:11Speaker 3: college fund for my kids yet. I digress. My wife
- 1:14Speaker 3: would like us to help him with loans or possibly
- 1:17Speaker 3: take out the loan ourselves to pay him to help
- 1:20Speaker 3: him pay with tuition. I told my wife I am
- 1:24Speaker 3: not taking out a loan in my name. I love
- 1:26Speaker 3: my son, but I think going into debt for education
- 1:30Speaker 3: is not exactly smart. Am I really in the wrong
- 1:34Speaker 3: for not wanting to take on debt for our son
- 1:36Speaker 3: to go to an expensive school? My wife thinks so
- 1:40Speaker 3: seven oh one two eight zho one nine eight seven
- 1:43Speaker 3: text us or call us?
- 1:44Speaker 1: What are your thoughts this?
- 1:46Speaker 3: Jared does not want to take any loans out to
- 1:50Speaker 3: help his son pay for college. He thinks he should
- 1:52Speaker 3: go to a less expensive school. Mom thinks we should
- 1:57Speaker 3: help him out. What are your thoughts game.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I'm not a parent, so this is very, very difficult
- 2:02Speaker 2: for me to really kind of make a choice because
- 2:04Speaker 2: immediately my brain goes absolutely not. I don't like when
- 2:07Speaker 2: I have to pay five hundred dollars at the VET
- 2:09Speaker 2: for my animal. I have five hundred dollars, you know.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I get annoyed at that number. Sixty K year or
- 2:16Speaker 2: whatever it was is out rageous to someone like me. Now,
- 2:21Speaker 2: if I'm a parent and I want my kids to
- 2:24Speaker 2: do better than I had, it or have opportunities that
- 2:27Speaker 2: I never had. I understand also being yes, I will
- 2:30Speaker 2: help you that I chose to put you on this earth.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I'm going to help you every step of the way
- 2:36Speaker 2: for as long as I can, because one day I
- 2:37Speaker 2: won't be able to anymore. Okay, that understand that. But
- 2:42Speaker 2: there is no chance on God's green earth my parents
- 2:46Speaker 2: would have had six twelve eighteen twenty four allowed me
- 2:49Speaker 2: to go two hundred and forty one thousand dollars in
- 2:53Speaker 2: debt for four years of college at sixty K a year.
- 2:57Speaker 4: No chance, I guess.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Really I need to know, Like, what is this kid
- 3:01Speaker 1: trying to major in?
- 3:03Speaker 2: You better go on to be Bill Gates, dude, you
- 3:06Speaker 2: better be creating the next software engineer for Windows or something.
- 3:12Speaker 2: You better not be going there to be a poet.
- 3:14Speaker 2: And no offense, anyone's a poet, but unless you're gonna
- 3:16Speaker 2: be a gajillionaire poet, you know what I'm saying. You
- 3:19Speaker 2: better go there and get yourself an education and actually
- 3:22Speaker 2: read those books.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I understand where the wife is coming from, and I've
- 3:25Speaker 3: always I've always subscribed to the well I chose to
- 3:29Speaker 3: have kids. I chose that the same way like my
- 3:32Speaker 3: mom chose to have me, and so sometimes I'm like, girl,
- 3:34Speaker 3: I don't.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Even ask to be here.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Help a girl out, And so I do feel on
- 3:39Speaker 3: that level, but they're already helping him with ninety five
- 3:42Speaker 3: thousand dollars.
- 3:42Speaker 4: That's actually a lot.
- 3:43Speaker 1: That's major, and I don't know.
- 3:46Speaker 2: So here's what I always remembered growing up. Right, when
- 3:49Speaker 2: I was a kid, I really wanted this guitar. I
- 3:51Speaker 2: wanted this thing more than anything on planet Earth, right,
- 3:54Speaker 2: and my mother would not buy it for me. I
- 3:56Speaker 2: think it was one hundred is dollars. Yeah, so she
- 3:59Speaker 2: probably could have afforded to do it, but she wouldn't
- 4:01Speaker 2: do it. Yeah, she made me come up with the
- 4:03Speaker 2: one hundred dollars myself. And you know what that meant. Well,
- 4:06Speaker 2: I worked hard and got it and then bought the guitar.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So every day I would play that thing because it
- 4:12Speaker 2: was my one hundred dollars. Had she just given it
- 4:16Speaker 2: to me, it would have been so much easier at
- 4:19Speaker 2: eleven years old to just be like, oh, I don't
- 4:21Speaker 2: want to do this anymore. But because I had to
- 4:23Speaker 2: spend the money, I worked so hard for that, I
- 4:28Speaker 2: just I took that guitar as more of a like
- 4:31Speaker 2: it was a my thing. I'm not saying this kid
- 4:33Speaker 2: should have to do the whole thing himself, if you
- 4:35Speaker 2: want to help him out a little bit, but I
- 4:37Speaker 2: guarantee you if he has to pay for that himself,
- 4:39Speaker 2: he will take it a lot more serious and it
- 4:42Speaker 2: will be a priority to him.
- 4:44Speaker 1: You know what.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I think I do agree with that, because yeah, they've
- 4:47Speaker 3: he's got ninety five K, right, so he can do that.
- 4:49Speaker 1: He can pay for the first year and a half.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Yeah, and so maybe, yeah, I think that that's the compromise.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And now, actually, wife, you are the wrong one. What Like,
- 5:00Speaker 3: I think that is a good opportunity for the kid
- 5:03Speaker 3: to And at the end of the day, it's not
- 5:04Speaker 3: the only school he can go to, right, yes, and
- 5:07Speaker 3: so then he could always like transfer.
- 5:10Speaker 1: If he wanted to.
- 5:11Speaker 3: I'll tell you this, I am in my dream career
- 5:15Speaker 3: and I did not finish the mediocre college I went to,
- 5:19Speaker 3: so I'm sure he'll be fine.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you could also maybe look up some scholarship options.
- 5:25Speaker 2: It doesn't always have to be oh I got a
- 5:26Speaker 2: full ride, because that's what everyone hears, yeah and thinks
- 5:29Speaker 2: is great for athletes or kids who you know, get
- 5:32Speaker 2: straight a's and want to go to Yale or whatever.
- 5:34Speaker 2: There are other things you can do to get a
- 5:36Speaker 2: little bit here, a little bit there.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That's true.
- 5:38Speaker 3: I grew up so poor and there's four kids, and
- 5:43Speaker 3: so my mom used to always just tell us, you
- 5:45Speaker 3: guys are very smart, and so it is up to.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You to earn those scholarship.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Filling out essays, Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 3: My little brother he earned a scholarship. My older brother
- 5:54Speaker 3: earned a scholarship.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Me and my sister are here.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, we have the personalities, so.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Let us know what you think.
- 6:03Speaker 2: For me, I'm not a parent, so it's really hard
- 6:05Speaker 2: for me to I you know, I don't like spending
- 6:08Speaker 2: twenty five dollars when I go to a fast food restaurant.
- 6:10Speaker 2: So I'm probably not the person to really answer this.
- 6:13Speaker 2: But seven h one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I don't think this dad is crazy for not in
- 6:19Speaker 2: theory wanting to go two hundred and forty thousand dollars
- 6:22Speaker 2: in debt. But also maybe he could help him somehow.
- 6:26Speaker 2: There's got to be a compromise.
- 6:28Speaker 3: There, right, Yeah, we want to hear from you. We
- 6:29Speaker 3: already had someone tech. Sounds like this fella needs to
- 6:32Speaker 3: start looking for scholarship.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Yeah, there we go.
- 6:34Speaker 2: We just talked about that, all right, let us know
- 6:36Speaker 2: what you think here at Big ninety eight point seven
- 6:38Speaker 2: Big ninety eight point.
- 6:43Speaker 3: On the problem, Jared wants to know if he is
- 6:46Speaker 3: the problem. He and his wife have a son who
- 6:48Speaker 3: wants to go to college. The college who wants to
- 6:51Speaker 3: go to is sixty k a year. They have saved
- 6:55Speaker 3: ninety five k for his college fund.
- 6:58Speaker 4: About a year and a half.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yeah, So the wife is saying, hey, we should take
- 7:03Speaker 3: out a loan to help him pay off the rest.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Dad says, no, I'm not going to take out alone.
- 7:10Speaker 3: I think it's silly to go into debt over education,
- 7:14Speaker 3: and so he's not gonna do it. Jared wants to
- 7:17Speaker 3: know if he's the problem or if his wife is
- 7:20Speaker 3: being of it. On the ridiculous side, Barb said, sixty
- 7:24Speaker 3: k year is insane. He's fortunate you and your wife
- 7:27Speaker 3: have saved a college fund like that for him in
- 7:29Speaker 3: the first place, so he can work within his means
- 7:32Speaker 3: to get what he needs. A lot of people shared
- 7:34Speaker 3: this sentiment. Albert said, not at all. Some people are
- 7:37Speaker 3: well off and able to some are not and have
- 7:40Speaker 3: to work themselves to get through honestly, I think it
- 7:43Speaker 3: would build It would build him to a better person
- 7:46Speaker 3: if he works for it and realizes what it takes.
- 7:49Speaker 3: I feel like the consensus here is help him with
- 7:52Speaker 3: that ninety five k, but anything after that, he's gonna
- 7:56Speaker 3: have to earn him himself if he wants to go
- 7:58Speaker 3: to this expensive school. If I were their kid, I
- 8:03Speaker 3: would pick the absolute cheapest school and then pocket the
- 8:07Speaker 3: rest of the ninety five k.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I don't know if that's all that works.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Uh yeah, I would just tell my parents it's gonna
- 8:15Speaker 3: be exactly ninety five.
- 8:17Speaker 1: K and go to like a community college, like any.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I think any parent would like, they're not just gonna
- 8:24Speaker 2: write them a ninety five K check and hand it
- 8:26Speaker 2: over and be like, hey, good, good job out there, Sonny.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Well a girl can dream.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah that's true. I would agree, that's a lot of money.
- 8:35Speaker 2: That's so much money. But I think if if he
- 8:37Speaker 2: has a little bit of skin in the game, you know,
- 8:40Speaker 2: you kind of learn how hard it really is and
- 8:42Speaker 2: how much work it actually takes. So yeah, yeah, I think,
- 8:45Speaker 2: you know, help him with what you can, and then
- 8:48Speaker 2: you know, he's kind of got to figure the rest
- 8:49Speaker 2: out for himself.
- 8:50Speaker 1: And Jared, you get to tell your wife she's wrong.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Oh well, you got a tiptoe around that one, Jared.
- 8:57Speaker 2: That's all i'd recommend. R. Andrew and I like to practice.
- 9:03Speaker 2: You have told me gratitude your time. I ever remember gratitude.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I'm grateful that you're in here to remind me of
- 9:08Speaker 2: that word every day. That's a little victory in and
- 9:11Speaker 2: of itself. We start the day off on a positive note.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Little victories every day, and we'd love to hear yours
- 9:16Speaker 2: as well. Uh seven oh one two eight zero one
- 9:19Speaker 2: nine eight seven. If there's anything that you're just really
- 9:22Speaker 2: excited about, or something that made your day better or easier,
- 9:25Speaker 2: we want to hear it, So go ahead and share
- 9:27Speaker 2: those with us whenever you would like.
- 9:33Speaker 3: My little victory gave is that for the first time
- 9:37Speaker 3: in our relationship, Mikey and I went to our first
- 9:40Speaker 3: concert together last night. We went and saw Kansas. And
- 9:46Speaker 3: this is important to point out that Mikey is twenty
- 9:49Speaker 3: two years older than me. He will be sixty in December,
- 9:54Speaker 3: and so he grew up being a huge fan of Kansas.
- 9:57Speaker 3: And so they were in town and we went to
- 9:59Speaker 3: Blue Stamanphitheater.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Have you been there that think you what a.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Dope venue in more Head for concerts, and we were
- 10:07Speaker 3: sitting up so close and it was just the best,
- 10:10Speaker 3: I mean, the best time ever. I will say I
- 10:13Speaker 3: had to stay up past my bedtime and he was like, Okay,
- 10:17Speaker 3: the irony there is. I'm the old one who wants
- 10:20Speaker 3: to go see Kansas, but you're younger yet your bedtime.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Is at like seven pm. So there we go. But
- 10:26Speaker 1: it was a really good time.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Did you hear maybe one of this while you were
- 10:29Speaker 4: out there?
- 10:31Speaker 1: That's right?
- 10:32Speaker 3: That was the final song of the evening and we
- 10:36Speaker 3: were like leaving when that song was going, but it was.
- 10:40Speaker 1: We had to beat the traffic. There was a bunch
- 10:42Speaker 1: of traffic.
- 10:43Speaker 3: But it was really a great I mean, it was
- 10:45Speaker 3: such a great time. And Mike said that he realized
- 10:49Speaker 3: about me that I am someone who it doesn't matter
- 10:53Speaker 3: what the music is, I will find a way to
- 10:55Speaker 3: have a good time and vibe out.
- 10:57Speaker 1: He also bet me that.
- 10:58Speaker 3: I wouldn't know any Kansas song, but I recognized four
- 11:02Speaker 3: of them, so I feel like that's.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Not that bad.
- 11:04Speaker 4: All right, Well, hey, there you go. Congratulations, that's awesome.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Thank you. What about you, Gabe, what's your little victory.
- 11:11Speaker 2: My little victory is my wife and I I have
- 11:14Speaker 2: restarted a Harry Potter marathon where we, uh, you know,
- 11:20Speaker 2: we watched a movie and then the next day we
- 11:22Speaker 2: watched the next one, or however we go about doing it.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Do you know what the little victory in and of
- 11:26Speaker 2: that is, Well, obviously we love Harry Potter, and I'm
- 11:30Speaker 2: a huge Harry Potter fan. But my favorite part is
- 11:33Speaker 2: when it gets to be too late, neither of us
- 11:36Speaker 2: are neither feel forced to sit there and keep our
- 11:39Speaker 2: eyes open and watch it. We'll just look at each
- 11:41Speaker 2: other and be like, hey, we've seen this like one
- 11:42Speaker 2: hundred times. He seemed like a good place to pause
- 11:44Speaker 2: and go to bed, right, And so it's very nice
- 11:46Speaker 2: while watching these movies. Last night it was like, you know, nine, yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 2: probably nine nine to fifteen, right smack dab in the
- 11:54Speaker 2: middle of this movie.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I'm like, can we finish this tomorrow?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 11:56Speaker 4: And she was absolutely, Oh.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And it's a Friday, so you can get into it.
- 12:00Speaker 3: You know what. I love that you're a potterhead because
- 12:03Speaker 3: I'm also a Potterhead. And now HBO is coming out
- 12:06Speaker 3: with the new Harry Potter series, and this is where
- 12:10Speaker 3: I'm going to force you to attend a Cosplay viewing
- 12:14Speaker 3: party at my house.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Are you in?
- 12:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll come watch the show.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you won't dress up? Is that where you draw
- 12:22Speaker 1: the line?
- 12:22Speaker 2: I'm probably not gonna go grab a costume to meet
- 12:25Speaker 2: you at your house on a Sunday at seven to
- 12:27Speaker 2: watch Harry Potter.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Can you just draw a lightning bolt on your form?
- 12:30Speaker 4: I could do that.
- 12:31Speaker 1: That's fine, all right?
- 12:36Speaker 4: Style of style.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Speaking of going out of style, Angie, I got some
- 12:42Speaker 2: bad news for you. What I've learned something about ladies
- 12:47Speaker 2: fashion that you might not know that I know.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I can't wait to hear what this is.
- 12:52Speaker 4: What do you remember what you were wearing yesterday?
- 12:57Speaker 1: Yoga pants and Mikey sweat shair.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Yeah, yoga pants and a sweater right.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Well, turns out yoga pants are going out of style.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Terms like active wear and de flare leggings are becoming
- 13:15Speaker 2: more popular as yoga pants are slowly taking a back seat.
- 13:19Speaker 4: I thought I could turn to you.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I thought I could turn to you for fashion advice,
- 13:23Speaker 2: and here I find out you are behind the times.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I need to get I need to get a new fashion.
- 13:28Speaker 1: East no flared leggings.
- 13:32Speaker 4: I'll be That's what I'm calling them.
- 13:34Speaker 3: But no, those are yoga No, and I've heard this
- 13:36Speaker 3: term before. Those are yoga pants. Yeah, but i'm my
- 13:40Speaker 3: yoga pants because they were straight legged.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Like then that's.
- 13:43Speaker 4: A problem supposedly. Yeah.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Reports are basically saying that there's a drop in leggings
- 13:52Speaker 2: and most people are going for kind of a more
- 13:55Speaker 2: baggy or flared look for this. So my question is
- 13:59Speaker 2: do you have to go redo like half or all
- 14:02Speaker 2: of your wardrobe?
- 14:03Speaker 1: Okay, My.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Here's the thing is that I am a very short woman.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I'm only five to one, okay, and so I have
- 14:12Speaker 3: to create some sort of like balance in my silhouette whatever.
- 14:17Speaker 2: You're only five to one, and your legs are like
- 14:19Speaker 2: half of a foot of that, so it's like torso
- 14:22Speaker 2: to everything else is about four feet tall.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Okay, that's fair, that's fair. I have short legs.
- 14:28Speaker 3: It's that if I wear like depending on what it is,
- 14:31Speaker 3: if I wear something that's two wide legged or two flaired,
- 14:35Speaker 3: then I look like even shorter in a weird like
- 14:38Speaker 3: stumpy way. Sure, and so I have to wear sometimes
- 14:42Speaker 3: yoga pants are like more form fitting and you can tell, oh,
- 14:45Speaker 3: she has a leg and not like she's a weird puddle.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Right, I just do you know what's very funny? That
- 14:52Speaker 2: is also exactly why I wear slimmer ish jeans. Now
- 14:56Speaker 2: I'm not five to one actually, yeah, my doctors appointed me.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yesterday I found out I was a little bit taller
- 15:02Speaker 2: than five nine. So I've not I've not been lying
- 15:04Speaker 2: the I've not been lying to you this well.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but yesterday when you went to the doctor, like
- 15:09Speaker 3: I saw, you put lifts in your shoes right before
- 15:11Speaker 3: you left.
- 15:13Speaker 4: But it's the same thing.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I wear like slimmerish jeans, so it looks like my
- 15:17Speaker 2: legs are longer than if I wear baggy pants, I
- 15:20Speaker 2: look like a toad.
- 15:22Speaker 1: See, it doesn't work, you know why. Here's the thing.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I actually don't care that yoga pants are out or
- 15:27Speaker 3: leggings are out or whatever, because everything comes back around
- 15:32Speaker 3: in the cycle. So I'm not gonna get rid of
- 15:35Speaker 3: them now. Maybe I'm gonna be more self conscious and
- 15:37Speaker 3: not wear them.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I'll be stylish again when she's sixty. Yeah, and well,
- 15:43Speaker 2: is there do you actually have this is a real
- 15:46Speaker 2: question this morning. Do you have something in your closets
- 15:49Speaker 2: or in your dressers that if it really went out
- 15:52Speaker 2: of style, you would be in big trouble. You know,
- 15:55Speaker 2: for some people, it's like hoodies, right, imagine if hoodies
- 15:58Speaker 2: went out of stock, that's right. Seven oh one two
- 16:01Speaker 2: eight zero one nine eight seven. If this went out
- 16:04Speaker 2: of style, which thankfully it never will, I would be
- 16:08Speaker 2: in big trouble, especially in the fall. You know, Flannel
- 16:10Speaker 2: Fridays start up in October here.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 2: If it was deemed flannels weren't cool or weren't the
- 16:17Speaker 2: in thing or whatever, I'd be out.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I need.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I hate to tell you this game, but I think
- 16:22Speaker 1: we're already there.
- 16:25Speaker 4: You start the Metsy is pipeing hot today, I'm gonna
- 16:31Speaker 4: show you how he's done my fie pipe.
- 16:34Speaker 3: And now let's.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Fill the teeth.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Whoopsie. Turns out Jennifer Aniston doesn't know her friend Reese
- 16:43Speaker 3: Witherspoon that well. After being shocked at her real name,
- 16:50Speaker 3: what is.
- 16:50Speaker 1: My real middle name?
- 16:51Speaker 3: A Jane B Jean ce Joan Jane, It's Genellen, that's gonna.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I'm Laura Jean Laura Jean. That's my ruler name.
- 17:03Speaker 4: YEA, Laura.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Laura Laura Jean is a great name. It's very like
- 17:14Speaker 2: like hunky Dory down.
- 17:15Speaker 1: To her southern name.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Reese Witherspoon, way more star power to it, exactly.
- 17:21Speaker 1: It was a good move. I just love that Jennifer Anderson.
- 17:23Speaker 3: She's been friends with Reese Witherspoon forever. Yeah, and didn't
- 17:28Speaker 3: know that. I know, Gabe, that your middle name is Joseph.
- 17:32Speaker 4: That's right. Do you know my real legal middle name? What?
- 17:36Speaker 1: Okay, wait Joseph Fino?
- 17:41Speaker 4: No, what Joseph Thomas?
- 17:44Speaker 3: But wait, your Gabriel Joseph Thomas Glidon.
- 17:47Speaker 4: No, I'm just kidding. It's just Joseph.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I hate everything about you. Do you know my middle name?
- 17:52Speaker 3: Ah?
- 17:52Speaker 4: You don't have one?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Oh, you're good.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Highly Jenner is celebrated ten years of Highlie Cosmetics. It
- 18:03Speaker 3: was ten years ago that we got the very first
- 18:06Speaker 3: highly gender lip kit, where she was still trying to
- 18:08Speaker 3: pretend that she didn't have lip filler. I met at
- 18:12Speaker 3: you girl, but she said that she is ready to
- 18:16Speaker 3: make this her daughter's company, so she wants it to
- 18:20Speaker 3: be a legacy brand so that her daughter's Stormy can
- 18:24Speaker 3: take over.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Can you imagine if Stormy's like, I actually hate makeup.
- 18:30Speaker 3: I only was playing with makeup in the glamor room
- 18:33Speaker 3: because you wanted me to.
- 18:35Speaker 2: What if Stormy really got into medicine or wanted to
- 18:38Speaker 2: do like marine biology.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not good. I don't know if I just
- 18:44Speaker 3: feel like it's so much pressure on. Don't build a
- 18:47Speaker 3: company and then be like and then I want my
- 18:50Speaker 3: kid to take over it.
- 18:51Speaker 1: That's like a classic movie trope.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and then they go off and have you ever
- 18:57Speaker 2: seen Into the Wild?
- 18:59Speaker 4: Yeah, storm He's.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Gonna burn her her id, get rid of her entire
- 19:04Speaker 2: life identification, and then just go out in the woods
- 19:08Speaker 2: and live in a bus.
- 19:08Speaker 3: As long as she doesn't eat poison berries and die.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I think it'll be fine. Saturday Night Live we'll return
- 19:18Speaker 3: on October firth on October fourth with its fifty first season.
- 19:25Speaker 3: There it is, and there were a lot of cast
- 19:27Speaker 3: shakeups and so that'll be interesting to see what that
- 19:30Speaker 3: looks like. They've announced the first three hosts for its return,
- 19:35Speaker 3: So the first week they're back, it's Bad Bunny and
- 19:37Speaker 3: Dojakat is the musical guest. Then Amy Poehler is the
- 19:41Speaker 3: next week and obviously she was on SNL forever, and
- 19:43Speaker 3: then my favorite one, Sabrina Carpenter is going to host
- 19:48Speaker 3: and be the musical guest, and there's something about when
- 19:51Speaker 3: the host is also the musical guest that makes me
- 19:54Speaker 3: feel like the episode's gonna be really good. However, it'll
- 19:57Speaker 3: be interesting to see what topics they even touch on
- 20:02Speaker 3: the show after all this late night stuff with Stephen
- 20:05Speaker 3: Colbert and now Jimmy Kimmel, who knows if Saturday Night
- 20:09Speaker 3: Life feels like they have to be kind of cautious.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not really an SNL person per se, but
- 20:16Speaker 2: I would watch the Sabrina Carpenter episode because she had
- 20:20Speaker 2: her that Christmas and Netflix special.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Yeah that was basically SNL.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and she was really funny and she.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Was awesome in it. That Actually, for me, I just
- 20:29Speaker 2: gained a lot of respect for her. She actually is
- 20:31Speaker 2: very funny and very witty and a very talented singer,
- 20:34Speaker 2: as opposed to sometimes you see pop stars and you're like, Okay,
- 20:37Speaker 2: do they actually have talent? Are they being propped up
- 20:39Speaker 2: by this machine right, you know, the pop music world. Yeah,
- 20:43Speaker 2: but she's a very talented individual. So I will probably
- 20:46Speaker 2: watch that or catch it on YouTube or something.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Who knew, Gabe Joseph Glyndon is a Sabrina Carpenter stand.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Please Variety, Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe and Angie.
- 20:58Speaker 2: We have kind of a cloudy web to end rainy
- 21:00Speaker 2: Friday today with a high of sixty eight, but we're
- 21:04Speaker 2: going to try to cheer you up here with the
- 21:05Speaker 2: little gabes good news of the day.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Like the.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Last week, there was an anonymous donor who paid off
- 21:18Speaker 2: more than thirty five one hundred in school lunch debt
- 21:22Speaker 2: for one of these public schools here in the Midwest.
- 21:26Speaker 1: This is amazing.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It eliminated all of the unpaid balances across every school
- 21:31Speaker 2: from elementary through high school. The district announced the gift
- 21:35Speaker 2: on Monday, noting that the donation ensures all students can
- 21:39Speaker 2: get meals without worrying about past debt. Officials express gratitude
- 21:44Speaker 2: for the contribution, which directly benefits students throughout the community
- 21:48Speaker 2: and provides relief for families facing financial hardship. That's one
- 21:53Speaker 2: of those things when you're not so I'm not a parent, right,
- 21:55Speaker 2: but I have a good I have a few a
- 21:57Speaker 2: fair amount of friends.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Who are parents, And that's some that in my brain.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Doesn't even exist, Like, oh, you gotta give them, like,
- 22:05Speaker 2: you know, forty bucks to put in their account. Every
- 22:07Speaker 2: whatever couple of weeks. It's just a whole nother bill
- 22:11Speaker 2: that doesn't exist to me.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I have to load up my kids lunch.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I should check the balance right now, actually, but this
- 22:19Speaker 3: is amazing. Growing up like, we grew up really poor
- 22:22Speaker 3: and we were on weirdly enough even though there definitely
- 22:27Speaker 3: wasn't enough money. We weren't even on free lunch. We
- 22:29Speaker 3: were on reduced lunch. But even the reduced lunch was
- 22:32Speaker 3: too expensive for us. So there were days that we
- 22:35Speaker 3: would like just not be able to eat, which was awful.
- 22:38Speaker 1: And it's so hard to learn when you're hungry.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Oh that's all you're thinking about.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, your stomach's growing. So this is amazing.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Whoever this anonymous person is who cleared out all of
- 22:48Speaker 3: the lunch balances, you are an absolute angel and incredible.
- 22:52Speaker 2: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 22:54Speaker 2: find one, you gotta be
