- 1:33Joe Brelli, what's up, Joe Hey, Good evening, Rob, and
- 1:37good evening everyone in the chat. I hope you had a good week.
- 1:42We are happy to be here. And Rob, I'm kind of wondering is
- 1:48your math off? Did you skip a number on the episodes? Because our
- 1:51last live was two eighty eight and now it's two ninety yeah, imagine that.
- 1:56Well, if you're not following us on Twitter, you may have missed
- 2:01uh, actually, if you're not following us on Locals as well, you
- 2:07may have missed a special Locals only episode, episode number two eighty nine,
- 2:15which I can't remember the name of right now, but or even what I
- 2:19talked about, because you know, it's like that sometimes it'd be like that
- 2:23sometimes, but it was good. A breakthrough, yes, don't call it
- 2:29a breakthrough. Yes, So if you want to check that out, head
- 2:31over to Locals and become a supporter of the show if it shall be there.
- 2:38We did. I did a reminiscing, if you will, or a
- 2:43wax poetic about the passing of doctor Cyril Weckt and my interaction with him over
- 2:47the years and meeting him and all that jazz and gave him his proper respect,
- 2:53and I believe went over and did an analysis of the newest John Hanky
- 3:05film called Breakthrough the jfk Assassination Solved and ripped it apart for the piece of
- 3:12crap that it is. So it's very entertaining show. I had to do
- 3:17it by myself. Joe was in a Ranger's playoffs game and but you know,
- 3:24it's all good. Joe's back and you put that Stanley cup down.
- 3:29Man, I need an ashtray over here, Joe, or some patoon if
- 3:34you will. Well, you did talk a little crap because you said the
- 3:38Rangers weren't going to you said play another playoff game, but they actually just
- 3:45advanced to the Eastern Conference finals last night and big deal. Well what happened
- 3:52on the night you went to see him? Joe? I lost? They
- 3:54lost four to one. Yes, that's because you went to the game.
- 3:59You know what. I was five and zero including game one a win,
- 4:02and that was my first loss. It was pretty bad, but it's hard
- 4:06to win every game in playoff hockey. It's kind of a crup shoot.
- 4:11So yeah, I know, I know. Well, let's say hello to
- 4:14our our lovely friends out there and comment land, because I know a lot
- 4:19of these folks have been hanging out for a while just with seething with anticipation
- 4:25for tonight's show, as have I been. So what's up Trey and Uncle
- 4:31Dave Moose heaven John coming through with the super chat? Thank you, John,
- 4:36Thank you much appreciated gardening guns. Uh definitely here early sitting staring at
- 4:45a a blank screen for half an hour. We appreciate it. Tiny Dancer
- 4:50in the House, Jack, I saw Claude sipping on his lone Stars with
- 4:58Atony Dene. She's read, She's got her ankle link, skirt hiked up
- 5:02to her knees. She is ready. What's up? Scott Bubbles in the
- 5:08house? Sale from across the Pond De La sala Hey evening. So and
- 5:15I think that's about it. Old slacker just came in, Deco Sabird.
- 5:21We got some new We got some new news in here. Welcome to all
- 5:27the new folks. You know you got some catching up to do. We're
- 5:30on episode two hundred and ninety, so, uh, feel free to try
- 5:35to catch up sometime. Yeah. Do you want know something funny? Rob,
- 5:41I wouldn't guess what episode I was listening to yours today, And because
- 5:46it was somewhat I thought it was going to be related to what I was
- 5:48going to talk about, it ended up not being relevant. But uh,
- 5:55it was sometimes to be misleading. It was number one thirty four, and
- 5:59it was a very special guest who, at least at the time, was
- 6:02the co runner of Lancer, mister Stu Wexler. The Library Card episode.
- 6:14Oh yes, oh, buddy, Stu, that was a horrible audio show.
- 6:24So don't go listen to that one. Folks, just know that the
- 6:30audio sucked ass for some reason. And I can't remember why, but I
- 6:35just remember that it really really sucked. Yeah, but it was it was
- 6:42interesting, and we'll get into some of why I was looking at the Library
- 6:46card episode later. But yes, yes, yes, yes, but yeah,
- 6:57thank you to everyone that's joined us, even the new people we love
- 7:00of you know, we we have over five hundred new subscribers just this year,
- 7:04Rob and a lot of them might not almost six hundred. A lot
- 7:10of them might not be familiar so to some of the older homies. If
- 7:16we explain some basic things at some points. Yeah, you know, some
- 7:21of these JFK podcasts out there, who you know, try their hardest to
- 7:27be as entertaining as we are, but aren't you know, they might try
- 7:31to do things in like a some kind of a chronological order or something.
- 7:36I'm gonna tell you right now, The Longoming podcast is all over the place.
- 7:41There is no order whatsoever. There's no rhyme or reason for who what,
- 7:46why, when where these episodes come out, what they're you know,
- 7:48it's just very much stream of consciousness. It's like an investigation in real life
- 7:57inside my brain to download. Yeah, this show is as much of a
- 8:03mess as what it is inside this nogging mine too. But we're all over
- 8:09the place. We do. We do a great job. But I wanted
- 8:15to what are you eating one over there? Dude? So I haven't smell
- 8:18delicious? I haven't eaten, thank you. I haven't eaten yet today,
- 8:22and I have some of my favorite Milk City shout out, honey, happened
- 8:28arrow? Oh? I love it? And on a little bit of some
- 8:31frozen pizza. I put a lot on in addition to crush red pepper because
- 8:37I'm Italian and I already put crushed pepper in before it made it. Good
- 8:45ship. You know, we work pretty hard and sometimes we got to eat
- 8:48on the job. That's what she said. But we encourage all of you
- 8:56to please down in the description there's a link where you too. You can
- 9:01go cap yourself some Silk City hot sauce. Honey, have an arrow,
- 9:05Joe's favorite. I might have a new favorite, Joe, what is it?
- 9:09Because psychic Bigfoot? I was gonna say, I haven't tried that yet,
- 9:16and whoa, whoa, I did not even notice that. Yes that
- 9:26is back there, chilling in front of my license plate. Yes, yes,
- 9:33I can decall I can eat this much. I mean it's some hot
- 9:37sauce and some crushed ried but I have a very high tolerance. I grow
- 9:41my own hot peppers that I smuggle back from Italy. So yes, we
- 9:48like it hot here, Bud, Yes, spicy and wow, let's give
- 9:54it thanks right now to Perpetual Concepts with yes salutations from near San Francisco.
- 10:03Hotter than Silk City. Thank you so much, Mark, Yes, much
- 10:09appreciated. Wow. Hell to the year. All right, Joe, So
- 10:16without further ado, let's jump right into it. Let's do it. So.
- 10:20You know, there's some pretty famous parking structures in New Orleans and Dallas.
- 10:30I'm mostly familiar with the Crescent City Garage where Adrian Album worked, where
- 10:37Lee Harvey Oswald would come over on his breaks and hang out and read gun
- 10:41magazines with Adrian Album at the Crescent City Garage, shoot the shit a little
- 10:46bit with him. And you know, I did a show not too long
- 10:50ago called The Crescent City Conundrum about Adrian Album and what he saw going on
- 10:58there with uh, you know, Lee Harvey Oswald supposedly meeting up with some
- 11:05folks in the FBI cars because the government parked the cars in the Creston City
- 11:11Garage, and he knew it was definitely an FBI car, and he saw
- 11:16Oswald get pasted an envelope, you know, possibly a informant payment, if
- 11:24you will, more than likely. But I came across, I did.
- 11:30I was doing some extremely incredible witness Yes, extremely credible. I'm sorry,
- 11:39yes, So I was doing a little digging, and I came across some
- 11:43references to all right, now they all right, they all right garage,
- 11:52the all right parking garage. Now, so I decided to do a little
- 11:58digging. But I came across this document as dated January twenty third, nineteen
- 12:03and sixty four, and it is addressed to Captain Ganaway of the Special Services
- 12:15Bureau at the DPD, and it's from Jack Revel, Lieutenant Jack Revel of
- 12:20the Criminal Intelligence Division, and it says subject Lee Harvey Oswald, Sir,
- 12:28The following report is submitted for your information. Memorandum to Captain Ganaway, dated
- 12:35December two, nineteen sixty three, pertending to Lee Harvey Oswald, quote the
- 12:39undersign received information from a confidential source that approximately two weeks prior to the assassination,
- 12:48a subject made application for employment at the all Right, all Right Now
- 12:54Parking System one two zero eight Commerce Street, signed Bob Carroll, Detective of
- 13:05the Administrative Section. SO one January twenty third, nineteen sixty four, the
- 13:11undersigned officer interviewed mister Hubert Morrow, a white male who was one of the
- 13:16managers at the Alright Parking System twelve o E. Commerce Street, Mister Morris's
- 13:22residence blah blah blah. He stated that approximately six or seven days prior to
- 13:28the assassination, subject came to the parking lot asking for a job. Mister
- 13:35Morrows stated that while talking to him about the job, subject asked him how
- 13:39high the parking lot building was and if it afforded a good view of Dallas.
- 13:48Mister Morrows stated that at the time subject was applying for employment, he
- 13:52was dressed in a dirty white T shirt and blue jeans and was carrying a
- 13:56newspaper. And then it was during the early morning hours. Mister Morris stated
- 14:01that that was the last time he saw the subject. He was waiting to
- 14:07talk with mister Claude Hallmark, another one of the managers. Mister Morrows,
- 14:13states that the reason he remembers the subject so well is that he wrote his
- 14:18name down and that he thought the name was Osbourne, but that when he
- 14:24called the subject mister Osborne, subject corrected him and said that his name was
- 14:28Oswald, not Osborne. Mister Morrow related to that two of the employees also
- 14:37observed the subject while he was at the parking lot. Those employees are Wyatt
- 14:50Montgomery, a colored mail and Charlie Dibbs, a colored male or Chinese whatever
- 14:56sea means. Uh. Yeah, Montgomery is still employed at the parking lot,
- 15:07but Charlie Dibbs is no longer there. Mister Morrow did not know the
- 15:11residents addresses of these employees, and the personnel files were not available at this
- 15:16time of the interview. Now that got me thinking, all right, this
- 15:28is so Commerce Street wasn't a motor it wasn't along the motorcade route, but
- 15:35it was actually one street over. Okay, there's one street over from what
- 15:43street? The main street that they were coming down because the Commerce dumped into
- 15:52Daily Plaza. Main Street dumped into Daley Plaza, and Elm Street dumped into
- 15:58Daily Plaza. Okay, and then you have the three you know, funneling
- 16:04down going through the Triple Underpass. But it was one street over, one
- 16:11block over, if you will. So if this structure was high enough,
- 16:17he could possibly have been afforded a view, maybe a very brief view of
- 16:22the motorcade as it went through Dallas. Possibly so from the parking garage.
- 16:33Yes so. But thinking that made me think, all right, well,
- 16:37what the hell else was on Commerce Street? Wasn't the Carousel Club on Commerce
- 16:44Street? So I go back and look, and the address is twelve o
- 16:52eight Commerce Street. The Carousel Club is thirteen twelve. That's less than a
- 16:57block. That's pretty goddamn close, right, that's really close. I uh
- 17:06so, this is what the al right, parking garage looked like in the
- 17:14early sixties. All right, we're looking down the street. There's a there's
- 17:18a bar on a corner, and then the parking garage is after that,
- 17:25and then there's another cross street, and then right after the cross street,
- 17:29about a half a block up would have been the Carousel Club on the right,
- 17:33and the Adolphus is right across from the Carousel Club on the left.
- 17:37Okay, now this is what it looks like now, so things have changed
- 17:52a little bit. It's still a parking garage though, which is pretty cool.
- 18:00And there's I believe there's a big apartment complex on the structure where it's
- 18:04attached to in the front. And then like I said, further on down
- 18:10the street across that cross street there on the right would have been the Carousel
- 18:14Club. And this is what the Carousel Club looks like now. So we're
- 18:21standing there, we're facing the same where the Carousel Club would have been.
- 18:25Right there all the way to the stream right of the photo is the same
- 18:27building we were looking at from the other angle with the orange accents that is
- 18:34used to be the all right parking garage, So the Carousel Club would have
- 18:37been here. The Adolphice is right behind us. Okay, so is the
- 18:41orange accent still a parking garage or is it behind that? And the is
- 18:45it residential? What seems to be all kind It seems to be like all
- 18:48part of one building because the structure in the front that's right on the street
- 18:55goes like, you know, thirty stories straight up. But the parking garage
- 19:00structure is not that high. It's maybe only four levels high or so five
- 19:04levels high or something. But this is it again from the backside. You
- 19:11see the top of the parking structure right there, and then you can see
- 19:15the balconies of the apartment building up near the top of the middle of the
- 19:21photograph. And of course this is what the carousel used to look like in
- 19:34nineteen sixty three. The entrance Wow, smaller than I remembered. Yeah,
- 19:44well, I believe I want to say that the barbecue place is on the
- 19:48bottom right, and then that door to the left would have been where you
- 19:55walk up the stairs to get to the Carousel Club. Tammy, True,
- 20:02that's the door. So if you can see the reason I'm showing you these,
- 20:07Joe, is so you can see that there is another parking garage on
- 20:11the other side of the Carousel Club. Okay, at least back then there
- 20:17was you see it right there, I do, which is entrance. Yeah,
- 20:26so there was a parking garage right next to the carousel. Okay,
- 20:30So just keep that in mind when we go into this next part here.
- 20:37Okay, So now I have another document dated January thirty first, nineteen sixty
- 20:42four, pursuing to the instructions of Captain Ganaway, the undersigned officers educated or
- 20:48conducted an investigation at the Alright Parking System twelve o eight commerce with the following
- 20:55results. Mister Hallmark, general manager of the company, did not recall interviewing
- 21:00Lee Harvey Oswald as an employee applicant. Mister Hallmark allowed the undersigned officers to
- 21:08look through hit the applications for the month of November sixty three and no application
- 21:14was found in regards to Oswald. Mister Hallmark did have one employment application which
- 21:18was filled out between the first and fifteenth of December nineteen sixty three, and
- 21:25this application was for one Fred Kaiser Junior, who listed his last of employment
- 21:32as the Texas school Book Depository. And I believe Joe if I'm remembering correctly,
- 21:37and folks please correct me if I'm wrong, that this cat, this
- 21:41Kaiser guy, is the one that found Oswald's clipboard on the sixth floor,
- 21:49like a couple weeks after the assassination. I think, I think you might
- 21:56be right. But yeah, that's fascinating because he doesn't ring a bell when
- 22:00you think like TSPD employees, right, you think, yeah, well he
- 22:04wasn't he wasn't there that day. Oh yeah, right, he wasn't there
- 22:08on the twenty second vacation before and after, right, Yeah, and that's
- 22:17and that's kind of interesting because it's almost like he avoids scrutiny by not being
- 22:22there that day. Which but again, this next statement contradicts what I just
- 22:26said, as many things in the JFK case do. Mister Hallmark stated that
- 22:32Kaiser told him he had quit that job one day previous to the assassination of
- 22:37President Kennedy. So maybe he's not the guy that found the the clip board
- 22:45unless he quit his job, but he gave him like a week or two.
- 22:48Notice, who knows. I'm just probably wrong. Yeah, Well,
- 22:55is anybody answering in the comments and anybody have this guy's name? Well,
- 22:59Bungled, hasn't it? Excellent comment, although it's not going to give you
- 23:02the answer. Yes, ding ding ding ding ding Comment of the night so
- 23:10far. Good job, Bungled, always on top of it. And Rob
- 23:15also got an from Sally. We got some pounds in the house who stand
- 23:21up late and we appreciate that. And yeah, Silk City, I'm I'm
- 23:26sure we can organize international shipping. We'll talk to some connects of ours and
- 23:33you never know. That's awesome. Thank you, Sally, Yes, thank
- 23:38you. So much sly. Yes, so Fred Kaiser was a twenty four
- 23:45year old white kid. He put references on his application as well, and
- 23:52one of them is the name Geneva Hind who worked at the school book depository.
- 24:00Mister see behind. I believe she was one that gave Oswald change for
- 24:03a dialost so we could get usouta Maybe was she wanted to get published publishing
- 24:11ladies. No, I don't know. I don't think so, but again
- 24:18I could be misremembering things. Who knows. And Rob, I just want
- 24:23to dress something Apaula Jane's dress. The Adolphice is significantly upstream from Daily Plaza.
- 24:30Same for the former location of the carousel. Not useful for triangulation,
- 24:34and I don't think we're particularly saying that it was used for triangulation, but
- 24:40it could have for a solo sniper. It could have been explored right like,
- 24:45And you know, I don't Again, it could totally be a setup
- 24:49as well. It couldn't. It probably wasn't Oswald because he was probably at
- 24:55work between the hours of eight and nine o'clock in the morning. So whoever
- 24:59this guy will it shows up there and tries to get a job and ask
- 25:02these weird questions like how tall is your parking garage? Does it have a
- 25:07good view of Dallas? You know, do you think I could shoot somebody
- 25:11from a block away on time? You know, it's just another instance of
- 25:18somebody dropping the Oswald name, of him making these ridiculous statements that could time
- 25:26to the assassination after the fact. Yep, that's what it's more than likely
- 25:30is. I'm not trying to say that this was Oswald in any shape or
- 25:33form or fashion, and rob it would be interesting if do you know that
- 25:37the map that Lee Harveyallswold had that was initially marked as like like maybe sniper
- 25:44spots, but it was later identified as being spots he looked for work at
- 25:48right, he had a map and he had all these things. I'd wonder
- 25:52if that spot was on there. And that's just a random thought. Yeah,
- 25:56I don't know, it'd be good to find out. Yeah, it
- 26:00wasn't too long ago. I came across the plate a bunch of places or
- 26:03that Oswald had applied at. But I think it was in New Orleans.
- 26:06I don't think it was for Dallas. And then moving on to February thirteenth,
- 26:15nineteen sixty four, Sir Captain Ganaway received information that the subject to made
- 26:21a statement that Jack Ruby was in the all Right Parking Garage at twelve o
- 26:26eight Commerce Street on the afternoon of November twenty third, nineteen sixty three,
- 26:33that Jack Ruby had made a telephone call and had asked for Wes Wise at
- 26:37the k RLD TV station. Ruby was reportedly told that Wes Wise was not
- 26:45in and that Ruby had then talked to a person named Ken last name unknown.
- 26:52Ruby was reported to have asked this person when Lee Harvey Oswealll was to
- 26:56be transferred from the city jail to the County jail, and had stated to
- 27:00this person that he wanted to be there when the transfer was made. A
- 27:07Ken Scott, an artist at KRLD TV station, was interviewed and he stated
- 27:12that he'd never received a telephone call from Jack Ruby and that he did not
- 27:17talk to Jack Ruby. On November twenty third, nineteen sixty four, one
- 27:22Ken Smart, who works the city desk at the Dallas Times Herald newsroom,
- 27:27was interviewed and stated he had only talked to Jack Ruby one time in his
- 27:30life that he could remember, and it wasn't On November twenty third, nineteen
- 27:34sixty three. Mister Eddie Barker, news director of KRLD TV station, was
- 27:41interviewed and stated that the above two persons are the only ones with the name
- 27:44Ken that he knows that worked there, interrupting continuing, mister Claude Hallmark,
- 27:57Ya, we met him before. The guy that did remember Lee Harvey Oswald
- 28:02putting in an application at the all Right parking garage was interviewed and first stated
- 28:07that he did not remember anything about the afternoon of November twenty third, nineteen
- 28:11sixty three, except okay, accept that Jack Ruby did come into the parking
- 28:18station and then he did use the telephone. He did remember that Jack Ruby
- 28:22made a telephone call and thought he had asked for Wes Wise, and he
- 28:26thought that was the name of the person Ruby talked to sounded like Ken.
- 28:33Hallmark stated that he was not sure of just what was said. Mister Hallmark
- 28:38was interviewed a second time by telephone, and upon direct questioning, stated that
- 28:44he did not remember Ruby making a statement about the time of Oswald's transfer,
- 28:48or on the point that he wanted to be present at the time of the
- 28:52transfer. Mister Hallmark then changed this and stated that this was referring to Ruby
- 28:57asking questions on the telephone, that as far as he could remember, Ruby
- 29:02did not ask any questions about the Oswald case, his transfer from the city
- 29:07jail to the county jail, or the time of the transfer. Mister Hallmark
- 29:11stated that he remembered the events of the afternoon. Jack Ruby came into the
- 29:15office of the parking lot and made a remark to the person's present that he
- 29:18was going to make like a reporter. Mister Hallmark stated that during the time
- 29:23Ruby was on the telephone, he did most of the talking and appeared to
- 29:27be giving information to the other person the one he was calling, rather than
- 29:32asking questions and receiving information. Hallmark stated that most of the telephone conversation did
- 29:37appear to be dominated by the subjects of the President's assassination and Lee Harvey Oswald,
- 29:42but that he did not remember any specific remarks or statements, nor did
- 29:49he hear a specific question regarding Lee Harvey's transfer nor the time of the transfer.
- 29:56Respectfully, submitted LD. Stringfellow Detective Criminal Intelligence Division Officers comments at the
- 30:04bottom of the thing. During prior attempts at interviewing mister Hallmark, it was
- 30:10discovered that he appeared to be a very busy person. The above conversation was
- 30:17solicited by telephone and the interests of expediting this report because you know, Joe
- 30:22managing a parking garage is very busy. Yeah, you don't have time to
- 30:34read gun magazines or or bullshit with other people and adjoining businesses on their break.
- 30:44Yes, he's very very busy. I'm a very busy manster. Please,
- 30:48I don't have time to meet with you, but I can pencil you
- 30:51in for five minutes telephone convo. Let's go right, what you got now
- 30:57to bring this all to a head and wrap put all up for you folks.
- 31:03Got one more document for you, This one dated January twenty seventh,
- 31:07nineteen sixty four, and again it's another DPD report, subject Lee Harvey Oswald.
- 31:17Pursuing to the instructions of Captain Ganaway, the undersigned officers conducting an investigation
- 31:22at the all Right Now Parking System, twelve o eight Commerce Street. The
- 31:27following report is the results of the investigation. The undersigned interviewed mister mister Hallmark
- 31:37again this some bitch is He's just getting interviewed. The general manager for the
- 31:42Alright Parking system that God Damn DBD won't leave me alone. Very busy man.
- 31:52I don't know what. I don't know what they think I've seen Jesus.
- 31:59Mister Hamark's state that he was not present when subject reported to have applied
- 32:04for a job, and that no written application was made by the subject for
- 32:08employment. Mister Hallmark stated that he does not believe the subject was at the
- 32:15location. He thinks that perhaps some of his employees are mistaken. If you
- 32:22know what I'm saying, imagine that now the undersigned reinterviewed mister Hubert Morrow for
- 32:30the second time and mister Morrow's statement is still the same as it was in
- 32:37the report regarding subject date of January twenty third. Mister Morrow was shown five
- 32:44identification photographs, so he was showed like a photo lineup right, and he
- 32:51positively identified the subject, Lee Harvey Oswald, as being the man who made
- 32:58the application. The identification numbers used for this identification artist follows. So they
- 33:05assigned a five digit number to each person instead of a name. So one
- 33:14was four nine two one eight, One was five four oh one eight.
- 33:17That was Lee Harvey Oswall's number. There was a four nine two four to
- 33:21two of four nine two three one and a four nine one five two that
- 33:24will come into play later. What is the originating agency of those numbers wrong?
- 33:30Who was DPD Okay? Yeah? The Undersign interviewed Viola Sap for the
- 33:39second time. Her statement remains the same. Regarding subject dated January twenty fourth.
- 33:45Missus Sap was shown the aforementioned ID photograph. She selected the subject's photograph,
- 33:52but stated that she could not be positive that he was the person in
- 33:57question. She stated that she had been real busy and not paid much attention
- 34:00to him, but she did pick him out of the photo lineup. Now,
- 34:05this is after two months after the assassination and his lee, Harvey Oswoll's
- 34:10name and photograph had been plastered around the world on the news constantly, and
- 34:16they're in Dallas, so you know, it's huge news which brings us to
- 34:23this. The UNDERSIGND interviewed mister Emmett Montgomery. This was the first interview with
- 34:29Montgomery, as he was not present during the initial investigation. Mister Montgomery stated
- 34:34that he was present when the subject applied for employment, and he stated that
- 34:38he cannot remember how the subject was dressed. He stated that the subject was
- 34:45at the location from approximately eight am to nine am. He stated the subject
- 34:50stated the location for about thirty minutes. Mister Montgomery was showing the aforementioned identification
- 34:57photographs and he selected the wrong photog. He selected photograph four to two one
- 35:04five to two. Oh, mister Montgomery, he did not select Oswalt's.
- 35:10He did not select Oswald. He selected Robert Lee Moran. Whoever in the
- 35:17hell that is, uh, please find attached to ID photographs which we use
- 35:22for identification during this investigation. Sincerely, Bio Carrol Detective and ws REGI bg
- 35:30O Detective, Criminal Intelligence Division. So yeah, there was no bueno going
- 35:42on at the Alright parking garage. It just why Jack Ruby would have picked
- 35:46that garage. I mean, there was a garage right next to him at
- 35:50the Carousel Club is right down the street, so it's obviously somewhere He wanted
- 35:53to make this phone call from somewhere. I guess it couldn't be traced back
- 35:57to him, but I don't know for sure. Wesley Harvey Oswald there,
- 36:00I doubt it. If somebody's there from eight to nine in the morning and
- 36:05they stayed there for half an hour, Oswald was likely at work. I
- 36:08mean he didn't miss any days leading up to the assassination. So my guess
- 36:15it was another one of those uh somebody impostors, you know, trying to
- 36:22make a name on the Lee Harvey Oswald name, make them memorable before the
- 36:27assassination so that after the assassination they could tie all this crazy shit back to
- 36:32him. But that's just my opinion. That's my two cents. But yeah,
- 36:38so now from Dallas in New Orleans, we are flying over to Joe
- 36:45to talk a little bit about mister g Ray Gil I'll think of Missagassain.
- 36:53But before we got to New Orleans, we have to address a couple of
- 36:58comments about and I saw a good one I wanted to address from Sally.
- 37:04Uh and this is actually rob funny enough what I asked you when you said,
- 37:08I'm gonna be talking about a parking garage, right, Yeah, No,
- 37:14that's not the same one because we we we ran down the Andy Anderson
- 37:20rabbit hole, we remember, Yeah, that was his favorite Quick Hits episode.
- 37:30Yes, yeah, totally different. But there you know, like I
- 37:34said, there's many famous parking garages when it comes to this, uh,
- 37:38this whole assassination narrative, and you know this was another one that I had
- 37:43never heard of. So, but there were two parking garages named Adolphus or
- 37:49a two hotels named Adolphus, one of fort Worth and one of Dallas.
- 37:53No, they just had the manager has to have the same name or something.
- 38:04Okay. What did you mention about the Adolphus just now in Dallas on
- 38:07your when you were talking about a Commerce street. It was right across from
- 38:12the Carousel Club. Okay, that's but what I'm saying is there was one
- 38:15in fort Worth and one Dallas. No. No, I didn't say anything
- 38:20about fort Worth. No, but I'm referring to the past episode. I
- 38:23don't know, Joe, go back and listen to the past episode. Okay,
- 38:27I think it was a Dolphus and another. Okay, I could be
- 38:30wrong. We can go back in the record. I'm sorry. I wanted
- 38:34to that question. We got Trey. According to Groden, the lady hand
- 38:40of the change at to Oswald as the first shot was fired. Yes,
- 38:46Jane behind mm hm oh fun fact, Joe, mm hmm. Andy Anderson
- 38:52of the Adolphus Hotel had a one of these. These cards actually had a
- 39:06flip side and they were numbered, and if you had this card in your
- 39:13possession. I think you got you're guaranteed a table and two free drinks,
- 39:21free admission and two free drinks on Jack Ruby and Andy Anderson from the Dolphins
- 39:25had one. He was like number one forty seven. It was his card
- 39:31number number at one fourth seven. Sorry and uh let me see it one
- 39:42more. Uh oh yeah, sorry. Tiny answer asked me a question and
- 39:51my answers would be in the negative. I do not know how to play
- 39:53Chicky pie c capisi. You're gonna have to give more context on that.
- 40:01Capeche oh capeche, yes, understand it. I do not know how to
- 40:07play Chicky though. I'd love to learn, though, And I think that
- 40:16was all Campeese sucks over a cooked pasta and bland sauces. I've never been,
- 40:24but I might want to go if I go to Dallas and no remember
- 40:29so yeah, I didn't go when I was in Dallas and I wanted to.
- 40:34Mh. Well, it's hard because there's so many things going on at
- 40:37answer and you take a break for one hour. You're like, okay,
- 40:42I can miss this presentation and say it's like a group or something or you
- 40:45know, and then like the time just flies and you're like Oh my god,
- 40:50I missed half of the next one. There's so many other locations.
- 40:53It's like, you know, it's like down on your tiered list of stuff
- 40:58to see in Dallas, and yeah, if you're there long enough, you
- 41:00can get there. But or if you know, the group goes to dinner
- 41:05at Campezes, you know that's that's an option. But well that's a very
- 41:12But anyway, we're leaving Dallas. We're getting on an airplane a la John
- 41:17T. Martin and we're flying to New Orleans. Joe we are. Yeah,
- 41:22we need to find out what's going on with g Ray Gill because that
- 41:25dude with sus as hell very and we'll get into it a little bit.
- 41:35This is a photo of g Ray first named George gil Sr. He is
- 41:42on the right hand side. I kind of tilted the title so the person
- 41:47what had would be under the name. That's Carlos Marcello in the middle,
- 41:52and that's actually rob very interesting. That is another one of his attorneys,
- 42:01Michael Moron of Shreveport, Louisiana. And that's a funny thing because home of
- 42:12the Gay nineties, home of the other gay nineties, and obviously Marcelo Territory
- 42:17as well, right New Orleans to Dallas and everywhere in between, which report
- 42:24was, oh yeah. And of course he is most famously known for defending
- 42:32mafia boss Carlos Marcelo many times. And I say many, I mean six
- 42:40to twelve. It's hard to get a list of all the cases, but
- 42:45many times between nineteen fifty one and nineteen seventy two. And also represented his
- 42:52son Joseph Marcelo, and we'll get into that what he got into a little
- 42:58trouble as well. And ge Ray Gill of course came to his aid as
- 43:01well. And Carlos Marcello had a team of lawyers. He had, like
- 43:07I mentioned this guy in Shreveport, but he had a guy in d C.
- 43:10He had other people in New Orleans. So g Ray Gill, I
- 43:15feel rob had some type of specific purpose and well that was his main dude,
- 43:22you know what I mean. And it's interesting I saw comment earlier that
- 43:28said that Jim Garrison had blinders on when it comes to g Ray Gill and
- 43:34what he was into and what he was doing, you know, much like
- 43:38he had blinders on when it comes to the mafia and Carlos Marcelo in particular,
- 43:43and g Ray Gill. And it seems like everybody that went to the
- 43:49Garrison a grand jury hearing, their lawyer was g Ray Gill. You know,
- 43:57I don't know de facto or what the case was, but yeah,
- 44:02there are a few, yeah, yeah for sure, and most notably,
- 44:07UH we share here, of course, is mister David William Perry or Perry
- 44:19Ferry. I'm okay, Miss Ruth almos a guest. Then I'll see you
- 44:25anytime you want to. Oh and Rob, I didn't. I don't have
- 44:35this in my documents, but I was reading some of the Garrison files we
- 44:37down downloaded a couple of weeks ago, and David Ferry, according to UH
- 44:44I think it was Lewis Ivan and Scambria inter Scambria. Uh. Ferry in
- 44:50the transcript said I'd be willing to do I'd be willing to do sodium pent
- 44:57the thrall if you wanted to. He said, anytime you want, mister
- 45:00Gibson, so he was, and he wanted to take or he was willing
- 45:05to take a light detector test as well, and UH, thank you for
- 45:10that the sound effect. Oh, you're welcome anytime we mentioned the truth zerum
- 45:21that alert and uh of course, we'll get into some of Ruby's travels to
- 45:27Dallas, to Galveston and to uh there's the other one. Uh got Victo.
- 45:45I'll get to it in a minute. Another place. And so we
- 45:50went to three cities in Dallas essentially, and on his way back he was
- 45:54with two younger gentlemen. Uh, fairy, I have Ruby here, blah
- 46:00blah blah that Jack Martin had sold him out and alerted the New Orleans Parish
- 46:15on ferries alleged relationship with Oswalt and the Civil Air Patrol by one of our
- 46:22favorite people, Rob, mister Jack Martin. But this is yes, and
- 46:30I got a little something to supplement. Supplement this after you get done with
- 46:34all this, dear Joe, When you supplement Martin's it gets me like very
- 46:39excited. But this is a small excerpt I got from a David Ferry interview
- 46:45with some of the Garrison investigators, and they ask about Oswalt. No,
- 46:50I have no recollection. This much is of interest. A fellow by the
- 46:54name of Jack Martin kicks the whole thing off and gets me involved, you
- 47:00know, And this say is four years ish after, after nineteen sixty three.
- 47:09I don't mind this being the public record, Martin is a psycho path
- 47:15Why I love that resonse that right to the point question first, how do
- 47:22you explain a psychopath? Great answer by Ferry, By the way, However,
- 47:31however, there are specific grounds. I used to work for g Ray
- 47:35Gil Martin fancies himself as an investigator. He acquainted himself with me and tried
- 47:40to get some of Gill's work from Ferry. Of course we'll get into Ferry
- 47:46was working for g Ray Gill for almost two years. Gil would have not
- 47:51had him have him because, as Gil says, present tense. Martin plays
- 47:58both sides of the street, not the fence, the street, which I
- 48:02look at differently in terms of intelligence or not right in terms of Jack s
- 48:10Martin. That's how I I think it's just another turn of phrase. It
- 48:15could be very well. It could be one day I threw Martin out of
- 48:19the office. Not bodily, but I ordered him out. Remember the time
- 48:23of the first Marcelo case in sixty three. Gills is the New Orleans lawyer
- 48:28for Marcelo. Martin told Klein that I had taught Oswald how to shoot a
- 48:32rifle, which is interesting since I am not such a good shot. Myself
- 48:38in any event that year, the year the assassination. I am uncertain.
- 48:44He's a certain rup but my belief is that Oswalt was here in the city
- 48:49of New Orleans. It's a mystery wrapped inside of an enigma, inside of
- 48:55a riddle in center a riddle. And I know that's not the right one.
- 49:01Both don't kill me. It's close. And I find the part I
- 49:07find interesting about this is if Martin told kleinb that Oswald, that Ferry taught
- 49:15oswal how to shoot a rifle. That was the curriculum in the Civil Air
- 49:19Patrol, Right, so they shot twenty twos as they're kind of right,
- 49:23exactly, And it was not a false statement. It was a true statement.
- 49:29Yes, it might exactly. And Ferry does a lot of this because
- 49:31I've read pages and dozens and dozens of pages of his interviews, and he
- 49:37just dances around everything. Man. But sometimes he is an error because his
- 49:45excuse for the trip. He had two excuses for the trip to Vinton,
- 49:52that was it Vinton, Galveston and Houston. And one was that, of
- 49:57course everyone knows this, you wanted to go isokating, right, And he
- 50:04also gave a reason to the Garrison investigator investigators that he went there on business,
- 50:10but great guil and he was giving someone a document or an invoice.
- 50:16He couldn't remember, of course, and and he said it had been planned
- 50:22for a while, but just that morning he left on the night of November
- 50:28second. The times vary from both of his other people that accompanied him.
- 50:34It's like four o'clock, seven o'clock after supper, nine o'clock. Right,
- 50:37it's three different times from Fairy and Coffee and Bubot. We'll get into him
- 50:45and it's well, we'll get into how j Ray Gill I fits into all
- 50:53of this here, but you know, it's not consistent at all in terms
- 50:57of his statements and the time. And I just wanted to throw this out
- 51:01there because I was like looking at the gray Gill and I noticed here right
- 51:07GWG g Ray Gill. And you know, there's some files and this is
- 51:15an HSCA subject file on him, and there's some interesting things. CM is
- 51:22Carlos Marcelo, JSM is jack S. Martin. And if you look at
- 51:27some of these, the Jackus Martin doesn't have a date. The Carlos Marcelo
- 51:31documents don't have dates. So it's really interesting. So what I did was
- 51:36I searched just CW or GWG and GW GWG and that excuse my circling,
- 51:46but that brings up other documents that don't come up when you search g Ray
- 51:52Gill in quotations. Let's say I'm Mary Farrell, of course. So I
- 51:57was looking at some of these documents and there are three files that have nothing.
- 52:02They're blank. One is David Ferry of course at the bottom middle,
- 52:07one is Jack Martin, and one is Joseph Savello, who was a friend
- 52:14of Ruby, and I believe Ruby had some calls with him as well on
- 52:21his phone records. And you know, when I was listening to your episode
- 52:27that I referred to earlier, Stu Exler actually mentioned how Joseph Savello was an
- 52:34associate of Ruby, and that's how I kind of caught it as I was
- 52:37kind of looking through this, But they're all he was basically Marcello's representative in
- 52:43Dallas, Joseph Ello, right, But how would he be with a g
- 52:51ray Gill document or tagged, you know, if you'd have been tagged or
- 52:58tied to Marcello and some former fashion Yeah, it was just interesting because I
- 53:04wish these had. It was like obviously erased it' said like xxx, but
- 53:08hold on, I wanted to read something before, okay, So so I
- 53:21actually forgot to even do the intro. Attorney jee Ray Gill handled many high
- 53:25profile cases in New Orleans or Marcello. We got that. In December sixty
- 53:30one, Gil began representing former pilot David Ferry in his attempt to be reinstated
- 53:36with Eastern Airlines after his suspension related to Morale's charges. Gil employed Ferry as
- 53:45an investigator and handyman. I like that description from March sixty two to December
- 53:52nineteen sixty three, so that is two months, five two years. Throughout
- 53:57sixty three, Gil represented Ferry before the Pilot's System Board of Adjustment in Ferry's
- 54:04grievances against the airline. So Ferry actually countersued and got a settlement. Ferry
- 54:10was briefly detained in sixty three in November over charges made by Jack s Martin.
- 54:15We just went over that that had'l be involved with Lee Harvey Oswalt.
- 54:21Three years later, Ferry became the prime suspect in Jim Garrison's investigation, shortly
- 54:28before he was found dead in his apartment and this is from some of the
- 54:32well Brown chronology. Gil continued a relationship with Marcello, who testified on the
- 54:38lawyer's behalf. So that's Marcello testifying on behalf of g Ray Gill in March
- 54:46of nineteen sixty nine, and Gil represented Marcello in the case involving the illegal
- 54:52re entry in the US after Marcello was deported to Guatemala and surrendered him for
- 55:02a two year term in nineteen seventy, but getting to back to the Eastern
- 55:13Airlines. They terminated Ferry in late nineteen sixty one based on his two arrests
- 55:21in August eighth and eleventh in sixty one for sexual relationships with young boys.
- 55:29Ferry then did Gopher work for g Ray Gill, attorney for once supported crime
- 55:34figure Carlos Marcello, and Gil attempted to help Ferry regain his apployment with Eastern
- 55:38Airlines. A grievance hearing was held in February sixty three and Gil and Ferry
- 55:45faced a review board in Miami. Yeah yeah, real quick, did you
- 55:52come across in your in the documents where it says how much g Ray Gill
- 55:59paid Fairy month for your services. I came across a number of seventy thousand
- 56:06after the assassination, well or seven thousand, I'm sorry, seven or seventy
- 56:15one as also that he paid. He paid Ferry three hundred dollars a month
- 56:22salary as a private investigator, okay, to work, you know, starting
- 56:30in sixty one. And so I plugged that into the how much is it
- 56:37worth now? Money? So he was he was. That equals out to
- 56:44about now thirty four hundred dollars a month, which ain't too shabby, folks,
- 56:52it is not. And you have to consider, you know, I
- 56:58ran across a lot of documents, HCA documents, FBI documents that Ferry was
- 57:02actually working off his debt to g Ray Gill by working as a private investigator
- 57:12with his office and a law clerk right for almost two years, right or
- 57:16nineteen sixty one to the almost the end of nineteen sixty three. And that
- 57:21was I mean, David Ferry really didn't have a lot of money, right,
- 57:24like not enough money to be able to afford a high and lawyer like
- 57:30g ray Gill. Right, it's just not happening. So he he used
- 57:36I think his his skills to work that off and that included allegedly picking him
- 57:44up from when he got deported from Guatemala. And also he went back to
- 57:51Guatemala because he was working on the case. I don't know if Marcella was
- 57:54there. The documents didn't say this. He went back in September October sixty
- 58:00three, like the fall of sixty three, to go investigate in Guatemala,
- 58:05to Guatemala to help their case because that's where Marcella was dropped off. So
- 58:10it says he flew on this airline, But I'm like, I don't know.
- 58:14I think Ferry would have flown and you know he was close with with
- 58:20g ray Gill to the you know, Gray Gill, it's not easy going
- 58:24out on the limb to defend Ferry on those type of charges. Yeah,
- 58:30I know, you're getting into some sticky, wicked situations there. Yeah,
- 58:36And that brings me back to the pun intended to the first two comments we
- 58:43got when we uploaded this, is that g ray w was for winning because
- 58:47g ray Gill didn't seem to ever lose. And you know, Ferry should
- 58:52have been charged and been in jail for what he was accused of in regards
- 58:57to the Eastern Airlines situation for sure, especially in the early sixties, like
- 59:01without d ray Gil was African. Wait a minute, okay, yeah it
- 59:15is on the Oh no, I'm sorry, Marcella was freaking g ray Gill
- 59:22is about as white as you can get. Yeah. He went to Loyola
- 59:27and he was a lawyer for a long time, and you know, he
- 59:30was very good at what he did. Did And we'll get into a couple
- 59:36of things right now. That's another great picture. All right, So can
- 59:50you see the shrop? Did I share it? Right? Yes? Okay,
- 59:54so slide you've already done, the secretary. It was on the very
- 1:00:00first slide with the picture. Oh, was that That's what I'm seeing?
- 1:00:12Oh? Okay, Sorry, I think I'm sharing the motion. Mm hmm.
- 1:00:21So marcel or g ray Gill also had some problems of his own,
- 1:00:25as we'll see. Can you see this? Yes, okay. So miss
- 1:00:30Elise we Drose was the secondlist Alice. Let's say. Elise, secretary to
- 1:00:40Attorney g ray Gill, was shown a photograph of Lee Harvey Oswald, at
- 1:00:46which time she stated that she had no recollection of ever seeing this man in
- 1:00:51person, and that she was certain that Oswald had never visited David Ferry in
- 1:00:55her presence while Ferry was employed by g ray Gill. And the most important
- 1:01:01thing here, I think is the date, because you're talking five days after
- 1:01:05the assassination. The FBI is going to g ra Gills's office and showing his
- 1:01:10secretary pictures of Oswalt. Now, I do not think that Lee Harvey Oswalt
- 1:01:15would have ever needed to go into g ray Gills's office, right A.
- 1:01:22He could have never afforded him in a million years. And you know,
- 1:01:28you'd probably be knocked like down a notch and be afforded to like Dan Andrews
- 1:01:34or something like what happened to legendly. And but this is five days after
- 1:01:42the assassination. The FBI is going to g ra Gills's office and looking into
- 1:01:46things and questioning as secretaries, which which means there's there's some potential meat on
- 1:01:53the bone. I think. I don't think they're just going there that early
- 1:01:59in the investigation just for kicks. But in nineteen sixty eight, the New
- 1:02:08Orleans District Judge exonerated Aaron Cone of the Metropolitan Crime Division from his intimidation of
- 1:02:16City Councilman Eddie Sappier as charged by the New Orleans DA Office. The charges
- 1:02:23were leveled against Cone following his public disclosures that Spear was a close confident of
- 1:02:30Marcello, and g Ray Gill, attorney from Marcello, approached the Captain Fred
- 1:02:38Roth of Jefferson Parish Intelligence Unit and inferred he could help Roth financially if he
- 1:02:45could alleviate some of the heat developing out of current Jefferson Parish investigation into a
- 1:02:52car purchased from Leonard Cunning who was shot and killed in Kansas City on October
- 1:03:01first, nineteen sixty eight. When this car was purchased Marcello's son, there
- 1:03:06we go, it's referring to earlier Joseph c. Marcello was signed as the
- 1:03:10purchaser, and Marcello fears that his own son will be subjected to unfavorable publicity
- 1:03:17if this is taken through. So g ray Gill comes to the rescue again
- 1:03:24for Carlos. Carlos Marcello's son Joseph, And if there's something that indicates how
- 1:03:34close they were and how much they trusted each other, I think if your
- 1:03:39son got in trouble, you'd hire the attorney that you knew could get him
- 1:03:43out of it for sure, yep, especially when you had the money to
- 1:03:47do so. Yeah, and Marcello did. This is also another document that
- 1:03:57corroborates the previous document in terms of the I guess it was called the Louisiana
- 1:04:01Alone and Trust and Thrift scandal, but it involved his son. And also
- 1:04:10g ray Gill came to the rescue on that again and brought Joseph Marcello.
- 1:04:16So he got pissed, I guess, and left the deposition twice and had
- 1:04:20to be brought back into the room by g ray Gill. So trusted indeed.
- 1:04:28And this is something also found in the Garrison files in April sixty nine,
- 1:04:34and this is to James Alcock assistant DA and it has to do with
- 1:04:44a former client of g ray Gill who had hired her. Her name is
- 1:04:49Clara Flowerney Bootsy Gay. How did she get the bootsy nickname? That'd be
- 1:04:55interesting stories. He probably wore little booties all the time, Yeah, Claia
- 1:05:01Floord no a boat to Gay. Yeah, and she's probably dope, I'm
- 1:05:06guessing. But she made several trips to Gill's office and observed David Barry,
- 1:05:13who had an office at Gills's office and understood that Ferry was an investigator for
- 1:05:16Gil yess he was for two years. The day following the jfk assassination on
- 1:05:23Saturday, she missus Gay, went to Gill's office and observed that two female
- 1:05:27employees were cleaning out Ferry's desk. She saw a chart or a sketch,
- 1:05:32and what caught her eye was the fact that this chart had Elm written on
- 1:05:39it, as in Elm Street on what appeared to be a street. It
- 1:05:43also appeared to there was also a building and on the street was a square
- 1:05:47with the letters VIP written in the square. I don't know what that means.
- 1:05:54That means it's a very important place on the map, Joe, or
- 1:05:57a very important person. True. Now, when Joe told me about this
- 1:06:02beforehand, immediately came to my mind was the whole Beckham thing, right,
- 1:06:12and what he alleged took place in the presence of g Ray Gill and David
- 1:06:17Ferry. So let me bring this up real quick like, see if this
- 1:06:25works. Can you see that, Joe? I can? It is a
- 1:06:34document from the HSCA about halfway down there where Thomas Beckham is being interviewed by
- 1:06:45the HSCA, and he says they discussed at the time the Kennedy his situation
- 1:06:55in the assassination. I don't know exactly how long it lasted. It's been
- 1:06:58a number of years. We also had a meeting and a place called the
- 1:07:01Town and Country. That's a motel, now, Joe, who owned the
- 1:07:05Town and Country motel? Mister Carlos Marcelo, thank you. That's a motel.
- 1:07:12Vaguely as I can remember, on the right hand side of a highway
- 1:07:14going out towards the airport. This meeting was attended by Marcello. There was
- 1:07:19a Gray Gill and us there at the time. And at that particular meeting,
- 1:07:25the human issue was discussed, the President, his involvement, and how
- 1:07:30different things, how the President refused to give air support, things like this
- 1:07:33were discussed. Also. I delivered a package approximately i'd say, two weeks
- 1:07:39to Dallas prior to the assassination of the President, to a mister Howard,
- 1:07:44that would be Lawrence Howard. Joe and he says, I went into mister
- 1:07:49g Ray Gill's office. I was told to go there by mister Ferry,
- 1:07:56which I know real well, and in his office they suffled up some documents
- 1:08:01which were drawings that of a map or plots and stuff. There were some
- 1:08:10pictures pictures of buildings and cars, and was regular pictures, but they wasn't
- 1:08:15glassy. They were put inside of an envelope, at which time g Ray
- 1:08:20Gill handed me it was either one hundred or two hundred dollars and told me
- 1:08:26that I was to be I was going to be taken to the airport.
- 1:08:30I was to deliver this package to a mister Howard at the Executive Inn in
- 1:08:34Dallas. At that meeting was Roswell which is a Roswell Thompson, Jack Martin,
- 1:08:42David Ferry, and a bunch off serg R. Kasha. Also at
- 1:08:46that meeting was your mister Marcelo was at that meeting setting it and they were
- 1:08:50sitting on a couch. I remember the couch. Let's see now I delivered
- 1:08:56the package. Oh, they told me. One thing was made. Remark
- 1:09:00was I went to wear no jewelry whatsoever, and not to talk to any
- 1:09:06of the airlines stewardesses all create huh hard thing to not do? Yes uh
- 1:09:15or create any you know, draw anything to me, don't make don't make
- 1:09:19attention to yourself. Son, don't wear no flashy jewelry. Don't be flirting
- 1:09:24with the stewardesses. Don't just don't. My good friend Clay Shaw was also
- 1:09:29there, and the envelope was put in a magazine, and they brought me
- 1:09:33a magazine stuck it inside there, and I took a cab from the airport
- 1:09:36to a place called the Executive n that is in Dallas, where I met
- 1:09:41mister Howard. And mister Howard was upset because when I got out of the
- 1:09:45cab and was heading there, he tootored for me on his horn. The
- 1:09:48car was kind of a raggety ass looking car. I got in, handed
- 1:09:54in the package and he leaned against the door as if to face me,
- 1:09:59but the the package was away from me, and I handed it to him,
- 1:10:01just like it was in the magazine. He opened it up and he
- 1:10:06looked at me a couple times, and I faced I looked off in the
- 1:10:12other direction, and he got real mad and said, is this this can't
- 1:10:16be all? This can't be all it is? I don't know the exact
- 1:10:21words. I said, yes it is. He said, like hell or
- 1:10:26something like that to that effect. It is. And I said, look,
- 1:10:30you can go call him, meaning to go call g Ray Gill,
- 1:10:33I said, because that's all he gave me. So we drove from there
- 1:10:39about I guess about three blocks, and he pulled over again and he reviewed
- 1:10:44the stuff that was in the envelope or the package. Now, I didn't
- 1:10:46take nothing out of the package, I didn't swear, except for seeing it
- 1:10:50on mister Gill's desk, then shuffling it up putting it inside the thing I
- 1:10:56didn't. All I knew was photographs of buildings and cars and neatly drawn maps,
- 1:11:06not like a regular city map, but it was diagrams and stuff drawn
- 1:11:11on paper. And at that time to this day, I don't know.
- 1:11:14Again, I think I took a cam back to the airport. Anyway,
- 1:11:16I had a round trip. I went back and discussed the fact that Holp
- 1:11:20set mister Howard was. I discussed it with Roswell, which is a Roswell
- 1:11:26Thompson, and also mister Gil, and they went on from there. So
- 1:11:32well, there you go about Thomas Beckham and his Gray Gill allegations, which
- 1:11:43led in some credence to your secretary who saw them cleaning out diagrams and drawings
- 1:11:55from David Ferry's desk that was located in g ray Guill's office, which is
- 1:12:00interesting, very interesting indeed, and uh you know, it's it's it's just
- 1:12:06very smart for for people to do these type of handoffs with lawyers, right,
- 1:12:12these type of transactions because it's attorney client privilege. I'm not saying Beckham
- 1:12:16was a client of g ray Gill, but it seems that g ray Gill
- 1:12:23always skirted any you know, no no phone call. I mean there's a
- 1:12:30record of of course a Ruby calling ge ray Gill on his way back to
- 1:12:34Dallas, but there's not a huge list of his call logs. And I'm
- 1:12:42yes, and and there's a reason for that, and getting your old white
- 1:12:45guy is confused, I know, and har and I'll just finish this last
- 1:12:53document, this last paragraph for two here. So when she went back into
- 1:12:58uh Jay ray Gills, I was gonna do that once office, she remarked
- 1:13:06to the receptionist as she saw them cleaning out the desk, that this I
- 1:13:12think she's referring to the map could be turned over John D. D Ange,
- 1:13:20that this should be turned over to the FBI. The receptionist then picked
- 1:13:27it off the desk and threw it in the trash stating it was nothing.
- 1:13:30Missus Gay stated that she then took the document from the trash can, stating
- 1:13:35that she would give it to the FBI anyway. The receptionist then grabbed the
- 1:13:40document back or from missus Gay's hand and again threw it in the trash for
- 1:13:45the second time, and he said, oh, bitch, no, you
- 1:13:47didn't, and then slapped her across her face, grabbed her by her hair,
- 1:13:53and threw her out the third story window. And then she went back
- 1:13:57to the trash can, pulled that shit back out and said, I'm taking
- 1:14:00it to the FBI. That's pretty close to how it went, Bootsy,
- 1:14:04don't play. And I thought it was a pretty interesting until this last sentence,
- 1:14:10and I would kind of like my antennas went up. Missus Gay seemed
- 1:14:13to be about sixty years old, sixty years reasonably intelligent, okay, I'm
- 1:14:18not sure what that means. It slightly and very cooperative. She appears to
- 1:14:26be the type of individual that likes to see justice prevail, okay, Bootsy,
- 1:14:34Yeah, Bootsy, I had never heard of this lady in this Bootsy,
- 1:14:38Bootsy, and it's it's a very interesting thing. And I just want
- 1:14:45to read one more thing. So when he Erry was being asked by Garrison
- 1:14:50investigators December fifteenth, sixty six, He's asked a question if he took any
- 1:14:59trips with Morerris Brownlee, and he goes, yes, I think so,
- 1:15:03but I'm not sure about this. I told you he talks in like double
- 1:15:06speak a whole time. I would have to ask Gill. So I have
- 1:15:10to ask my lawyer somewhere back in fifty one and fifty two. I'm sorry
- 1:15:15Ferry didn't talk about I had to go to Mississippi for Gil on an oil
- 1:15:18bill, and I think that means collecting some type of bill, but I
- 1:15:24don't know. I believe I took Browne with me because at that time he
- 1:15:29was doing a little work for Gil too. I believe that on my that
- 1:15:31on one of the many trips we took down at Vinton, Texas. That's
- 1:15:35one of the stops he made on his Texas Assassination weekend trip. Because we
- 1:15:42were back and forth quite a number of times. I believe he was on
- 1:15:46one of those trips. Morris went along or went along with Alice Goudreau,
- 1:15:53which he's it's like says question mark spelling, and that is the secretary that
- 1:15:58was rated five days for the assassination Alice rob Goodreuz got it right that time.
- 1:16:05So at last, there, at last, Alice, See you're messing
- 1:16:11me out here. But I think the point to take away here is that
- 1:16:14when g Ray gild defended you, when when it came from David Ferry,
- 1:16:19which were pretty damning allegations to Carlos Marcelo, who spent a lot less time
- 1:16:26maybe with the exception of Santra Draffconte in jail than other mafia bosses or met
- 1:16:32you know, didn't get stuffed in tin it killed or stuff in an oil
- 1:16:38drum or something like that. Uh. Everyone, And and Layton Martin's had
- 1:16:44some connections with him as well. He was alleged to have helped him out
- 1:16:48in his his Layton Martin's and one of the guys, however you say it,
- 1:16:58yeah, he was. When Ferry came back to New Orleans from his
- 1:17:03Dallas trip assassination weekend, he dropped Bob off Off and him and Martin's late
- 1:17:13Martin's got arrested on the twenty fourth, the night the Sunday night, and
- 1:17:18uh, Ferry had to go in the next day after fleeing on the on
- 1:17:24the recommendation of Gray Gill and it's get out of town boy as fans as
- 1:17:30you can guess, and sniffing around here for you. Yeah, and Jack
- 1:17:35Martin. Martin was behind it all, as they usually are. Bastards,
- 1:17:42bastards, I tell you. Of course he wasn't a real Martin Suggs.
- 1:17:45But all right, so we're gonna want to get back on the airplane.
- 1:17:56What do you want to address a comment or two? Because I haven't looked
- 1:17:59at them in a minute, surely we can. Has any one considered that
- 1:18:10Ruby might have been a h or that there may have been a Ruby double
- 1:18:13bit off topic? It's actually not that off topic because Rob showed a very
- 1:18:17interesting picture on the solo podcast he did did where you showed a picture of
- 1:18:28someone in front of the Texas school Book Depository with some of the publishing ladies
- 1:18:33to the left of him if you're looking at the TSBD, and it looked
- 1:18:38like Ruby a lot, but it was without his hat. Marcella's birth name
- 1:18:46was Colojuro. Yeah, I saw that minicorde. And that's funny because Colojuro
- 1:18:50was the first name of the kid in The Bronx Tale, which is a
- 1:18:54great movie. But uh yeah, that's that was his h real Italian Sicilian
- 1:19:02name, although it was a French territory. They lived on a plantation shack
- 1:19:10in Metteari Jefferson Parish. Literally a French connection translated thank you, tiny dancer.
- 1:19:18Mister Dave Sparks, Dean Andrews and their burg Glass brothers were in that
- 1:19:23same Nola attorney mix and and a berg Glass mm hmm. And I actually
- 1:19:30came across a couple of things that said Dean Andrews also did some work for
- 1:19:33g Ray Gill as well, so I think he was in that attorney mix
- 1:19:41and sorry and delivered the package to Lawrence Howard. Yep, we got that
- 1:19:45professoronal cons and that's a very interesting story. I don't know. I want
- 1:19:49to say this. They said a Marcello was there. Is that what it
- 1:19:55said? He said, I I didn't think Carlos Marcello would be at that
- 1:20:01type of thing. No, he named him later, Victor Marcello got it.
- 1:20:08I don't know if that's another kid or if it's a brother. I'm
- 1:20:13not sure. I don't know either. Maybe Howard was upset by the proximity
- 1:20:19he'd have to be in who knows. Yeah, I mean, who knows.
- 1:20:26It's I was thinking it was about the money, but that type of
- 1:20:30money is not even close to even it. I mean maybe expenses, right,
- 1:20:35two hundred dollars to a little That wasn't payment for Howard. Okay,
- 1:20:41there was no payment. So he was upset about the directions and or and
- 1:20:45the maps and maybe the life. He said something was missing. Yeah,
- 1:20:49okay, I wasn't sure if that's something was was money. But you know,
- 1:20:54I think other people delivered that, and they might not trusted Tom spec
- 1:20:58Ham at that point to deliver that. That was John Martine's job. Uh,
- 1:21:05And I think that is it. Uh. Rip Robertson being a daily
- 1:21:11Plaza. That picture does look a lot like him. Was Howard to Phillip
- 1:21:15Alias, I do not know. No, we're talking about Lawrence Howard.
- 1:21:20Yeah, mercenary anti Castro Cuban freedom fighter. Yeah, of course, famous
- 1:21:30cowboy. Yeah. I was in California with that thirty odd six Lauren Hall's
- 1:21:35buddy. Yes, yes, so I wanted to just dress some comments,
- 1:21:41but continue Rob, I know you have some interesting things. Yes, we're
- 1:21:44gonna get back on the airplane. We're flying back to Dallas. Joe to
- 1:21:46check in sound bite. True, you got to learn how to do that,
- 1:21:55Okay, I know, because I think you can control it too.
- 1:22:05All Right, back to Dallas, and we're gonna be talking about this dude
- 1:22:15for a second. This snazzy fellow right here, his name is Pierce Almond.
- 1:22:23And any of you folks who have ever taken a tour at the sixth
- 1:22:27Floor Museum in Dallas, at the School of Depository, you will have heard
- 1:22:34Pierce Almond's voice. He's the one that guides you through the tour. Now,
- 1:22:44he passed away back in twenty twenty two. And what the website will
- 1:22:49tell you, and what he's been staying for years, is this that he
- 1:22:59stood on the corner owner of Houston and Elm Street and Dealey Plaza and witnessed
- 1:23:02the Kennedy assassination. At that time, he was a program director for WFAA
- 1:23:08Radio in nineteen sixty three, and in the immediately aftermath, desperately in search
- 1:23:13of a telephone to report into his radio station, Pierce headed towards the schoolook
- 1:23:18Depository building, and in the doorway he asked the young man, where's the
- 1:23:23phone. The man jerked his thumb inside and replied in their asshole. Several
- 1:23:30weeks later, Almand realized that the young man he spoke to in the minutes
- 1:23:34following the assassination was likely Lee Harvey Oswald. On his way out of the
- 1:23:40depository building, Folks, isn't that amazing? Finally securing a telephone, Pierce
- 1:23:45Alman gave me now legendary breathless report live on w FAA radio. Quote,
- 1:23:54just a few minutes ago, the President of the United States turning from Houston
- 1:23:57Street on to Elm Street on his way to a scheduled lunch an appearance at
- 1:24:00the Stemen's Trademark, and as he went by the Texas school Book Depository headed
- 1:24:08for the Triple Underpass, there were three loud, reverberating explosions. Nobody moved,
- 1:24:14Everybody seems stunned. A few seem to knock around, wondering who has
- 1:24:18the firecrackers, And suddenly the Secret Servicemen sprang into action. They're convertible bearing
- 1:24:24the President and Missus Kennedy sped away, and officers both playing closing in uniform
- 1:24:30seemed to spring from everywhere all at once, guns drawn, ordering people to
- 1:24:36be flat. Yes, Pierce Solomon, Folks didn't He also think initially it
- 1:24:47was a secret service. We'll get there. We'll get there. Just hold
- 1:24:53on a second, Joe hold Jr. Panties. Do you promise yes?
- 1:24:59On February eighteenth, nineteen sixty four, This is another Special Services Bureau Criminal
- 1:25:09Intelligence Division DPD memo Subject Pierce Alman, Sir. Pursuing to the request of
- 1:25:17Captain W. F Ganaway, Subject was interviewed by the undersigned officer in the
- 1:25:21following report is submitted. Subject is employed as program director by radio station WFAA,
- 1:25:28where he has worked for six years. He resides at thirty five forty
- 1:25:31eight in Milton Street. Subjects stated that he and Terence Ford were at Elman
- 1:25:36Houston watching the parade at the time of the assassination. Subjects stated that immediately
- 1:25:43after the shooting, he went into the school book depository and called radio station
- 1:25:46WFAA. Subject further stated that he did not know Lee Harvey Oswald at that
- 1:25:53time and that he does not remember seeing him in or around the depository.
- 1:26:01Subject also stated that he does not remember seeing Marina or Jack Ruby in the
- 1:26:05vicinity. He also stated that he did not know either of these persons at
- 1:26:10that time. Now, let's go back to what he said here again several
- 1:26:18weeks later. Okay, this report is two months later, so according to
- 1:26:28him, several weeks later, Alman realized a young man he spoke to and
- 1:26:33the minutes following the assassination was likely Lee Harvey Oswald on his way out of
- 1:26:38the depository building. Yet two months after the assassination, he ain't never seen
- 1:26:45a guy before in his life talk about somebody making a career out of nothing
- 1:26:53other than being at the right place at the right time, saying some total
- 1:27:00bs sometime that's all you need. Well and to back that up Joe February
- 1:27:10eighteenth, nineteen sixty four. Another another another criminal intelligence report from the DPD,
- 1:27:16this one concerning Terrence Ford, the guy who was with Pierce Almon.
- 1:27:24The subject resides that Blah blah blah with his wife. He's been employed with
- 1:27:30WFA Communications Center since July third, sixty three and is presently working in the
- 1:27:36promotion department of the company. Subjects stated that on November twenty second, nineteen
- 1:27:41sixty three, he and Pierce Almon were standing in the corner of Elman Houston
- 1:27:46watching President John F. Kennedy's motorcate. Suddenly, three shots rang out and
- 1:27:50he and Almond started running. A Few minutes later, they ran into the
- 1:27:56school book Depository building, where Almond used a telephone to call his radio station.
- 1:28:00Subject stated that he was not acquainted with Lee Harvey Oswald or Jack Ruby,
- 1:28:05nor did he remember meeting either of them on the day of the assassination.
- 1:28:10He also said that he was leaving the aforementioned building, someone took his
- 1:28:14name and address, but he doesn't know who the person was. Respectful,
- 1:28:19he smitted Bellingham and Ward Law, the Criminal Intelligence Division. Imagine that,
- 1:28:27Joe, So its Pierce Almond a total fraud? It certainly sounds like it.
- 1:28:36But who am I to say? And then one last thing, Joe
- 1:28:46that I got. We're gonna zip back. We're gonna zip back to New
- 1:28:50Orleans for this one. Okay, you forgot something you got to learn how
- 1:29:00to do it. Okay, my next episode, We're back to New Orleans.
- 1:29:10And this from the Office of the District Attorney, State of Louisiana Parish,
- 1:29:15January twenty third, nineteen sixty eight. Statement of Sir Aloysius J.
- 1:29:21Habitcoorst of the New Orleans Police Department regarding the fingerprinting in facts contained on fingerprint
- 1:29:30card statement. On March the first, nineteen sixty seven, at approximately eight
- 1:29:35fifty five PM, I had occasion to print and process a white male who
- 1:29:42identified himself as Clay Laverne Shaw, who was booked under police I had a
- 1:29:46number, Seat four sixty sixty sixty seven of the New Orleans Police Department.
- 1:29:51Mister Shaw was given three fingerprint cards and has to sign his name in a
- 1:29:56designated spot on the card after having been printed by James Mallett, who is
- 1:30:02a New Orleans Police officer and was assigned in the b of I, that's
- 1:30:05Bureau of Investigation of the Central lock Up along with myself on the above date.
- 1:30:12In order to fill these cards, I asked mister Shaw related questions as
- 1:30:17to the date of birth of him, his middle name, his occupation,
- 1:30:21his birth date, and place scars or marks or tattoos on the identification parts
- 1:30:28of his body, and also asked him what other names than Clay Shaw do
- 1:30:32you use? And then reply mister Shaw gave me the name of Clay bertrand
- 1:30:41I would not consider mister Shaw's attitude as being facetious. In fact, the
- 1:30:47above statement is true and correct, and I have made of my own free
- 1:30:50will sincerely out of a wisious outogast, a New Orleans police officer. And
- 1:31:00last, but not least, do you remember recently, Joe, when we
- 1:31:06did the show and I talked a little bit about Philip Garacci, who was
- 1:31:13the sixteen year old kid that was in Carlos Brignier's store when Lee Harvey Oswald
- 1:31:19came in there to talk to Brignier and give him his marine. This is
- 1:31:26the kid that Oswald gave his Marine Corps manual to for gorilla tactics. And
- 1:31:32they were investigating this Philip Garacci kid like he had some ties, you know,
- 1:31:38to Oswald. Possibly right, Well, I came across this bundle of
- 1:31:46leads from the Garrison investigation and apparently in nineteen sixty two, so this would
- 1:31:58have been when Philip Garacci was fifteen years old. Okay, okay, they
- 1:32:04were investigating a quote, I'm gonna say it just like it's typed on this
- 1:32:12paper, a fag ball in Jefferson Parish in nineteen sixty two. Joe,
- 1:32:20do you know what a fag ball is? I cannot say. I do.
- 1:32:26I have a couple ideas. I don't want to get us dinged here,
- 1:32:30So that's a party where a lot of gays come together and dance.
- 1:32:35That's a fag ball. Joe okay, Oh a bar ball. That's yes,
- 1:32:43yes, Yes. Many people were arrested from the above ball, and
- 1:32:49Dean Andrews has admitted that he paroles some of them, including the following Joe.
- 1:32:57Leonard Frank was arrested and gave his address is nine oh eight Esplanade Avenue.
- 1:33:03This building was owned at that time by clay Shaw. Dia Dietrich was
- 1:33:15arrested and in January sixty four he was living at seven one sixty twenty four
- 1:33:19Governor Nicholas Street, which was owned by you guessed it, clay Shaw.
- 1:33:27James Mooney was arrested and gave his address A four nine two to one Magazine
- 1:33:30Street, which is awfully damned close to Lee Harvey of forty nine oh seven
- 1:33:38and a half Magazine Street or No. Four nine oh five and a half
- 1:33:43Magazine Street. Charles Heffer was arrested and gave his addresses three hundred Brok Street.
- 1:33:48His local address was supposed to be a building owned by clay Shaw.
- 1:33:54William Johnson was arrested and gave his addresses nine three five Burgundy Street. Shawl
- 1:34:00once owned nine three seven Burgundy Street. Last, but not least, Joe
- 1:34:09Philip Garacci, the same one who met Oswald and Brgia's store, was arrested
- 1:34:15and gave his address as two two three five Chartres Street. So apparently Philip
- 1:34:27Garacci the same guy, same kid who met Oswald in BRINGI a store who
- 1:34:35was out actively selling booklets to raise money for these anti Castro efforts of Brgier
- 1:34:44and the dre and they've got in trouble for that. Is apparently a homosexual
- 1:34:54as well. Add him to the mix. This is the guy who I
- 1:35:01think he eventually got stuck in a mental institution and like died. He didn't
- 1:35:09live too much longer, I think past sixty seven if I'm remember incorrectly.
- 1:35:14But very interesting stuff there, Joe. That is very interesting. Thank you
- 1:35:21for that connection. Oh and one more thing I leave you with, and
- 1:35:29I don't have it in front of me, but I think I was gonna
- 1:35:31save it for another show, but I'm going to bring it to you right
- 1:35:35now. Is I came across an interview and I believe it was h I
- 1:35:45believe it had to be. It was with Warren Commission or the HSCA.
- 1:35:51But it was an interview with missus Jesse Garner, who was Oswalt's landlady on
- 1:35:58Magazine Street and who David Ferry went too to check if she had or knew
- 1:36:05anything about his library card. Yes, thank you for stealing my thunder so
- 1:36:12awesome of you. We're on the same page. I didn't know, dick.
- 1:36:18Uh. But anyway, the point of that was, David Ferry shows
- 1:36:30up there the night. Was it the night after the assassination? I believe
- 1:36:41it actually were night before he left to Texas. Yeah, I think it
- 1:36:45was the night of the assassination to her house, asking about Lee Harvey Oswald,
- 1:36:54which he would have no reason to do unless he had been associated with
- 1:36:58him, And they kept cutting her off and wouldn't let her answer, and
- 1:37:05it was it was an interesting exchange. But I'll bring it on the next
- 1:37:10show. I remember what it was now. It was part of the clay
- 1:37:15Shaw trial transcript and they wouldn't let her say what David Berry said to her.
- 1:37:23It's a funny comical like back and forth. But I will bring it
- 1:37:27next show, I promise. But anyway, Joe, do you have anything
- 1:37:31else for these fine folks tonight? Well, I'm sorry. I didn't mean
- 1:37:35to suit your Thunder. It's what you do best, my friend. But
- 1:37:43you know you saved surprises for me, and sometimes I don't exactly know what
- 1:37:45was what is coming, but we are on the same page. I think
- 1:37:49we should look at it as in a positive way. And I didn't steal
- 1:37:56that much Thunder. You got to it like thirty seconds after. Uh.
- 1:38:00It is what it is, you know, But I encourage every First of
- 1:38:05all, I want to thank everyone for joining us tonight we'll get Yes,
- 1:38:10that is an awesome cap and I can't wait to try that Silk City flavor.
- 1:38:16Psychic Bigfoot sendor Fellow, what does that mean? What? What does
- 1:38:28that mean? Sendor Fella. That's Uncle Dave talking about you. Oh,
- 1:38:35I just thought it was funny. It is funny. No, he was
- 1:38:39talking about the fag ball. Oh yeah, yeah, cinder Fellow. Yeah,
- 1:38:45that is very interesting and I've never heard that term before at all.
- 1:38:51I guess it's just like a ball, like a dance. Right. Well,
- 1:38:56day, Dave's old school. He's old school. Iverson's probably he's probably
- 1:39:00he's a former cop. He's probably busted up a fag ball or two in
- 1:39:03his day beat my guest. Yeah, but I want to just close by
- 1:39:12saying I think if you haven't seen or you want to see Rob's episode number
- 1:39:17two eighty nine, the breakthrough of something I forgot the name, don't call
- 1:39:26it a breakthrough that is on our locals channel called JFK Assassination Conversation, and
- 1:39:33that is the same logo the Lone Gunman podcast screen logo, and you could
- 1:39:40also share documents over there and engage with us. So I had a great
- 1:39:46time, Rob. We didn't make it two and a half hours. Nope,
- 1:39:51we're close. No, we're not too bad. We had a lot
- 1:39:55of info to squeeze in there for everybody, and we thank you everybody for
- 1:39:59hanging out this. You know, we really appreciate all the support and feedback
- 1:40:04from you guys, and you make our Friday nights very special. It's always
- 1:40:11a pleasure to hang out with you guys. And yeah, I mean it's
