- 8:32Speaker 6: Now, while our people still. We gon' pray, we gon' walk,
- 8:47Speaker 6: we gon' stand, we gon' stand, till justice rises from
- 8:52Speaker 6: the depths. Community tired, community tired of being expendable, tired
- 8:56Speaker 6: of systems being indefensible. Hands clean on paper, hearts cold
- 8:59Speaker 6: in rooms, but truth got a.
- 9:00Speaker 13: Voice that can shake, seal tombs.
- 9:01Speaker 6: This ain't hate, this is holy resistance, faith with fire
- 9:04Speaker 6: and righteous persistence. We won't stop, we won't bow, we
- 9:07Speaker 6: won't fold, till the full true story gets told. Mississippi,
- 9:11Speaker 6: you must dance.
- 9:12Speaker 14: Mississippi, hear the cry.
- 9:14Speaker 6: A family deserves just.
- 9:16Speaker 8: Another reason why. We call for truth.
- 9:18Speaker 3: We call for life. We call for.
- 9:20Speaker 8: What is fair and right.
- 9:21Speaker 15: No more silence.
- 9:22Speaker 6: No more games.
- 9:23Speaker 4: We lift our voices and.
- 9:24Speaker 15: Say his name.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Say his name.

- 9:34Speaker 14: Nolan Wells. We won't.
- 9:42Speaker 8: Wake up the nation. Shake every system.
- 9:52Speaker 6: Lord, cover his family, strengthen his people, wake up the nation,
- 9:57Speaker 6: shake every system, let justice roll down like waters, and
- 10:03Speaker 6: righteousness like a mighty stream.
- 10:06Speaker 8: Say his name.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Nolan Wells.
- 10:15Speaker 10: Mm-hmm.
- 10:26Speaker 9: So that was a song that I created for Nolan Wells.
- 10:31Speaker 9: Song I created for Nolan Wells. We will not allow
- 10:34Speaker 9: his legacy and his name to be forgotten. We stand
- 10:39Speaker 9: for justice and we want justice to come forth. So
- 10:44Speaker 9: say his name, Nolan Wells, Nolan Wells. Yeah, it is
- 10:53Speaker 9: Domestic Violence Awareness Month. and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So
- 10:58Speaker 9: I salute all the survivors of breast cancer. Shout out
- 11:02Speaker 9: to Cheryl LeGrand and shout out to Pamela. They are
- 11:09Speaker 9: both four-year survivors of breast cancer. And I am a
- 11:19Speaker 9: 12-year survivor of domestic violence, y'all. Y'all going to hear
- 11:23Speaker 9: a little bit about my story in the introduction as

- 11:40Speaker 9: you and yours. So please, please, please share this out

- 11:48Speaker 14: Would, if you would, if you would.
- 12:00Speaker 4: You will now enter the conference.
- 12:02Speaker 14: Muted. Well, welcome back to Walking in Purpose with Angela.
- 12:57Speaker 9: Where we celebrate people who are not just dreaming about purpose,
- 13:03Speaker 9: but actively walking in it. You're tuned in to our 4,672nd
- 13:13Speaker 9: presentation of Ngozi Time Multimedia LLC. Live from Lagos, Nigeria.
- 13:20Speaker 9: Tonight's topic is, what's your why? I have two amazing
- 13:28Speaker 9: authors that's going to be stopping by in the studio
- 13:31Speaker 9: to share with me tonight. This powerful episode of Walking
- 13:35Speaker 9: in Purpose with Angela, we're going to open the door
- 13:38Speaker 9: to a conversation that goes far beyond books, titles, platforms,
- 13:45Speaker 9: and accomplishments. So I want you to join the conversation
- 13:49Speaker 9: tonight by calling in at 717-734-6904. Of course, you have
- 13:57Speaker 9: to punch in the access code, which is 860-4483-POUND. To
- 14:06Speaker 9: enter the studio, you must press one pound. To join
- 14:10Speaker 9: the conversation, you must press star two. We're going to
- 14:15Speaker 9: be talking about the heartbeat behind the mission.
- 14:20Speaker 8: Of your wife. Why do you write?
- 14:23Speaker 9: Why do you serve? Why do you keep going when
- 14:26Speaker 9: life gets hard? Why does your story matter? And most importantly,
- 14:32Speaker 9: what legacy are you creating and leaving behind? This inspiring
- 14:37Speaker 9: conversation features two amazing authors who's going to use their voices,
- 14:43Speaker 9: their stories, their lived experiences, to impact lives, encourage healing,
- 14:49Speaker 9: and remind others that purpose can be born from pain, faith, resilience,
- 14:56Speaker 9: and obedience. What is my why? It's not just what
- 15:00Speaker 9: I do. It's not just what I have accomplished. It's
- 15:04Speaker 9: not what I am building. But my why is why
- 15:09Speaker 9: I am doing it. Because When you truly understand your why,
- 15:16Speaker 9: you can survive what meant to destroy you. I have
- 15:20Speaker 9: survived rejection, delays, closed doors, hard seasons, night when nobody
- 15:28Speaker 9: saw the tears, the prayers, or the work that I
- 15:31Speaker 9: put in behind the scenes. My why was born in survival.
- 15:37Speaker 9: I survived domestic violence. I survived being shot point blank
- 15:41Speaker 9: range with a sold out shotgun. I survived suicide attempts.
- 15:45Speaker 9: I survived sexual assault. I survived pain that should have
- 15:49Speaker 9: silenced me. Trauma that tried to bury me in seasons
- 15:54Speaker 9: where I did not know if I would make it
- 15:56Speaker 9: to the next day. But yet I rise and I
- 16:01Speaker 9: stay the course. My voice has power. My story has
- 16:06Speaker 9: an assignment. And tonight, we're going to share my story
- 16:12Speaker 9: as well as these two amazing individuals that have decided
- 16:18Speaker 9: to come and be a part of this platform.
- 16:22Speaker 14: First.
- 16:22Speaker 8: I know we have Mr.
- 16:25Speaker 9: D rail Johnson in the studio, so I'm going to
- 16:29Speaker 9: allow him to introduce himself. And while we wait on
- 16:33Speaker 9: my other guests to make his appearance, Mr. D-Rail, how
- 16:38Speaker 9: are you tonight?
- 16:45Speaker 8: I'm doing great. If you would, please introduce yourself to
- 16:51Speaker 8: those that are tuned in.
- 16:53Speaker 10: Yes, ma'am.
- 17:03Speaker 14: Thank you. Oh, no, it's going really well. No, he's got.
- 17:10Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 17:20Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:27Speaker 14: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:31Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 17:31Speaker 14: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm ashamed of the condition right now.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 10: And at first, the fact that he showed me parts
- 18:15Speaker 10: where I was, you know, a Christian, you know, went to, uh,
- 18:19Speaker 10: the thing that, you know, people.
- 18:21Speaker 16: Say, you know, a little study of.
- 18:41Speaker 14: I graduated You know, playoff games, that's what makes it
- 19:13Speaker 14: so much more exciting. You know, for many years, I
- 19:17Speaker 14: think I've had a lot of fun. I've had a
- 19:20Speaker 14: lot of fun. I've had a lot of fun.
- 19:25Speaker 15: I've had a lot of fun.
- 19:25Speaker 14: I've had a lot of fun.
- 19:27Speaker 9: I've had a lot of fun.
- 19:29Speaker 14: I've had a lot of fun. I've had a lot
- 19:35Speaker 14: of fun. I've had a lot of fun. No, that
- 19:43Speaker 14: wasn't constructed with the church. So, I don't know if
- 19:49Speaker 14: it's pilot. right. I don't think that's right. I don't
- 19:53Speaker 14: think that's right.
- 20:17Speaker 9: So when you pick up your pen to write, who
- 20:27Speaker 9: are you writing for? Are you writing for the people
- 20:31Speaker 9: or are you writing for yourself?
- 20:35Speaker 14: It's a mix. I have to... dive into, like, different
- 20:41Speaker 14: type of genres.
- 20:42Speaker 10: I know authors choose a certain genre to stay in,
- 20:46Speaker 10: but I like to write for a diversity of people
- 20:50Speaker 10: that could be faith, thriller, suspense stories. I'm pretty much
- 20:56Speaker 10: just all around all over the place with different messages
- 21:00Speaker 10: for people to believe in.
- 21:03Speaker 14: I do.
- 21:06Speaker 8: Read So being that you.
- 21:12Speaker 9: Reach different genres, what message would you be leaving across
- 21:20Speaker 9: all of them? Do you have a certain message that
- 21:23Speaker 9: you are determined to leave with your readers or you
- 21:26Speaker 9: just tapping in wherever you are?
- 21:33Speaker 10: Well, I can say for me, the message that I
- 21:36Speaker 10: was going to leave is that, you know, be courageable.
- 21:41Speaker 14: Some things that you think that you can't.
- 21:43Speaker 10: Do, you gotta step out on faith that God is
- 21:46Speaker 10: leading you into the direction because I didn't believe I
- 21:50Speaker 10: had the voice to do this. Because for one, you
- 21:53Speaker 10: have to put yourself out there. You have to make
- 21:56Speaker 10: people believe in you. And that's something going on. I
- 22:00Speaker 10: didn't have that in me. But I thank God for
- 22:05Speaker 10: making me and elevating me higher because If it was
- 22:10Speaker 10: just me alone doing this, I wouldn't be doing this.
- 22:13Speaker 10: So he's given me the tools and certain things that
- 22:17Speaker 10: need to be told.
- 22:18Speaker 14: Like I have a story that's titled The Lord's Three Angels.
- 22:22Speaker 14: And that story touches on five different people's lives. It's
- 22:26Speaker 14: just like.
- 22:29Speaker 14: I don't know. Well, that's not right.
- 22:42Speaker 16: I think that's good.
- 22:44Speaker 14: That is, I think people don't know that she's going
- 22:47Speaker 14: to be connected to some of these diseases. But I
- 22:50Speaker 14: felt that it may be a thing, read a good story.
- 22:53Speaker 14: Maybe it's not a problem. It's not related.
- 22:56Speaker 10: Because a lot of people don't want to deal with
- 22:59Speaker 10: people who are connected to diseases. But I felt that
- 23:05Speaker 10: it's not good for people to purchase.
- 23:08Speaker 14: You know what I mean?
- 23:15Speaker 8: Wow.
- 23:16Speaker 9: Now that's powerful because I have two friends. Both of
- 23:21Speaker 9: them went through breast cancer at the same time. We
- 23:29Speaker 9: are prayer warriors. We pray every morning at 5 a.m.
- 23:33Speaker 9: And they both were battling breast cancer at the same time.
- 23:37Speaker 9: And one of them, even after going and battling breast cancer,
- 23:43Speaker 9: She was, she'd been diagnosed with lupus for about 19 years. She,
- 23:48Speaker 9: they diagnosed her with heart failure and all these different things. And,
- 23:53Speaker 9: you know, she, didn't think that, you know, people wanted
- 23:56Speaker 9: to hear her story. And I tell them, like, like
- 23:58Speaker 9: you say, a lot of people are not talking about
- 24:00Speaker 9: these things, but people need to know because there are
- 24:02Speaker 9: a lot of people that are dealing with illnesses and
- 24:05Speaker 9: don't know how to deal with them.
- 24:06Speaker 8: And they end up depressed.
- 24:07Speaker 9: They end up going through different things and, you know, they,
- 24:10Speaker 9: they lose their faith. They lose hope and they need
- 24:13Speaker 9: to be able to be encouraged. So I'm thankful for that.
- 24:17Speaker 9: That's powerful because there are so many people.
- 24:20Speaker 8: That we are moving.
- 24:22Speaker 9: But we're not always connected to our purpose and truly
- 24:27Speaker 9: honing in to that that we're supposed to be doing.
- 24:29Speaker 9: But when you know your why, it can anchor you
- 24:32Speaker 9: and it can keep you focused on the things that
- 24:35Speaker 9: the creator has called us to. Because he gives us
- 24:38Speaker 9: these gifts and these talents. He placed these things in
- 24:41Speaker 9: us so that it can work together for our good.
- 24:45Speaker 9: Because he already knows what we're going to experience in life.
- 24:49Speaker 9: So he gives us these gifts and talents so that
- 24:51Speaker 9: we can be reminded that the story is bigger than us.
- 24:56Speaker 9: And there's somebody out there that needs to hear this story.
- 25:00Speaker 9: So thank you. Thank you for hooning in on that.
- 25:05Speaker 9: And I don't know how long you have been writing
- 25:07Speaker 9: about diagnoses and things of that nature, but it is
- 25:12Speaker 9: starting to take off. I've actually interviewed three different people recently.
- 25:17Speaker 9: that their books is around a diagnosis. So somebody is listening.
- 25:24Speaker 9: So hats off to you for taking the lead on that.
- 25:30Speaker 10: I was going to say that people, they need to
- 25:33Speaker 10: get around other people that may have the same diagnosis as.
- 25:37Speaker 14: They have, like go to some... like group.
- 25:40Speaker 10: Sessions and get around people like that. And they don't
- 25:43Speaker 10: have to just sit in the house and dealing with
- 25:45Speaker 10: it alone. They could get around people, a lot of
- 25:47Speaker 10: people and talk their story out.
- 25:53Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 25:54Speaker 9: So, um, being born with, um, meningitis and, um, having
- 26:01Speaker 9: to go through that ordeal, um, how did that shape, um,
- 26:07Speaker 9: some of your decisions, um, later.
- 26:10Speaker 8: On in life.
- 26:40Speaker 14: Right.
- 26:52Speaker 9: And sometimes that can be, that can be trying, that
- 26:58Speaker 9: could produce its own trauma, trying to keep up with
- 27:05Speaker 9: those around us. and put more pressure on ourselves when
- 27:09Speaker 9: we're dealing with stuff like that. One thing I know
- 27:13Speaker 9: about purpose is that it does not always come wrapped
- 27:16Speaker 9: in comfort.
- 27:17Speaker 8: Sometimes purpose is born in the middle of grief.
- 27:21Speaker 9: I know 1991, 12 days after my 16th birthday, I
- 27:29Speaker 9: lost my mom and I didn't truly grieve until Some
- 27:37Speaker 9: years later, and then you go through betrayal, people walking
- 27:42Speaker 9: away from you when you think they're supposed to be
- 27:44Speaker 9: there and they're not there to support the things that
- 27:47Speaker 9: you're doing. And then all this trauma. A lot of
- 27:51Speaker 9: people don't understand that. Sometimes the things that we carry
- 27:57Speaker 9: are some things that we carry because our mother carried
- 28:00Speaker 9: it when she carried us. We were born into trauma.
- 28:04Speaker 9: I know a young lady that's a part of my
- 28:06Speaker 9: prayer group. Her son was diagnosed as a manic depression
- 28:12Speaker 9: three days after he was born. And I was like, wow,
- 28:16Speaker 9: how can the child be depressed? And then she later
- 28:20Speaker 9: on disclosed how she dealt with depression and how she
- 28:23Speaker 9: dealt with different mental illness issues while she was carrying him.
- 28:30Speaker 9: So a lot of stuff. can be passed down from
- 28:34Speaker 9: our mother in her carrying us and things of that nature.
- 28:40Speaker 9: So how did your personal journey shape you into the
- 28:48Speaker 9: author that you are today? Because I know you dabble
- 28:51Speaker 9: in all the different jurors. So how did your life journey, how.
- 28:57Speaker 8: Old are you, if you don't mind me asking? I'm
- 29:02Speaker 8: in my 50s. I'm in my 50s. So I've been
- 29:09Speaker 8: on here.
- 29:09Speaker 9: I've been on this earth almost a half a century.
- 29:12Speaker 9: So I've experienced some stuff. When you look at me,
- 29:17Speaker 9: you might not think it, but yeah, I've been here.
- 29:20Speaker 9: I'll be 52 my birthday. God's willing, I'll be 52
- 29:24Speaker 9: my birthday. I'm glad that I don't look like What
- 29:28Speaker 9: I've been through, I can say I look way better
- 29:31Speaker 9: than what I've been through.
- 29:33Speaker 8: I can say that.
- 29:34Speaker 9: But I know that the things that I've been through
- 29:37Speaker 9: mold me into who I am today. And I'm able
- 29:41Speaker 9: to smile. I'm able to have that glow because of
- 29:47Speaker 9: the journey.
- 29:47Speaker 8: That I've been on. And I understand that the journey
- 29:51Speaker 8: that I have.
- 29:52Speaker 9: Been on was not just about me, but it was
- 29:55Speaker 9: about the people that I was going to come in
- 29:57Speaker 9: contact with.
- 29:58Speaker 8: So, How has your journey shaped your authorship?
- 30:09Speaker 10: That goes back into, I don't like me being into
- 30:13Speaker 10: that superhero mode or like Superman. Me growing up as
- 30:17Speaker 10: a kid, a shy kid, don't really speak much or
- 30:21Speaker 10: talk much. And you're not going to make it far,
- 30:35Speaker 10: you're not going to do this. And that just fueled
- 30:38Speaker 10: me so much to the point, you know, I got
- 30:41Speaker 10: to not only do this for myself, but I got
- 30:46Speaker 10: to spend time watching it.
- 30:49Speaker 14: Watching it for myself.
- 30:54Speaker 10: So, you know, not only do people come to the world,
- 30:59Speaker 10: but actually go through something, go through It is.
- 31:30Speaker 8: It is.
- 31:31Speaker 9: And I tell my friend, I have a friend, her
- 31:34Speaker 9: name is Little Unique Parker. And I tell her all
- 31:39Speaker 9: the time that she can't focus on what everybody else
- 31:44Speaker 9: think about her and what everybody else is saying. But
- 31:47Speaker 9: she got to focus on that gift that God has
- 31:48Speaker 9: given her. And she has a powerful writing ability. So
- 31:56Speaker 9: I try to encourage her to use that writing ability.
- 31:59Speaker 9: that ability that she has because the girl can write
- 32:03Speaker 9: some poetry in the drop of a dime she has
- 32:07Speaker 9: a gift way beyond what I can do in poetry
- 32:12Speaker 9: but she's amazing with her words and I try to
- 32:16Speaker 9: encourage her writing can be very powerful if we used
- 32:22Speaker 9: it the right way also tonight we are talking about
- 32:27Speaker 9: legacy one thing I want to.
- 32:30Speaker 8: Discuss is the power of written legacy.
- 32:34Speaker 9: And that is our books, but it's not the books
- 32:38Speaker 9: that are not just products because the books are also records.
- 32:43Speaker 9: They're also our testimony. They're also tools and they are
- 32:48Speaker 9: seeds that can continue to speak long after we have
- 32:52Speaker 9: left the room. What are your thoughts on that? What
- 32:56Speaker 9: do you feel about your books being legacy for you.
- 33:33Speaker 14: All right. All right.
- 34:10Speaker 15: Yes.
- 34:23Speaker 14: Yes.
- 34:36Speaker 16: Yes.
- 34:37Speaker 9: So let me ask you a question and let's see
- 34:40Speaker 9: if we can.
- 34:41Speaker 8: Get it worked out. So in your writing, what truth
- 34:47Speaker 8: do you want to preserve?
- 34:55Speaker 17: Are you there?
- 34:56Speaker 14: Be yourself. It's a story to kill anybody. So let's
- 35:06Speaker 14: talk about one of your books.
- 35:08Speaker 18: Um, what's.
- 35:10Speaker 14: The title of, I know you have 36. What's one,
- 35:14Speaker 14: which is one of your favorite books?
- 35:38Speaker 8: Out of your 36.
- 35:39Speaker 10: So what's, what's the, um, I guess, what is the
- 35:42Speaker 10: story behind the book? The story behind the book is
- 36:07Speaker 10: that there's a family that's kind of different from family.
- 36:10Speaker 14: It's a bishop. He has a wife and four children.
- 36:16Speaker 14: And basically, he's trying to talk to God. He's saying
- 36:21Speaker 14: in the book that he's saying that.
- 36:24Speaker 10: He's going to leave the church because all he holds
- 36:27Speaker 10: is his sword. He's like, he's not going to open that.
- 36:31Speaker 14: He's going to leave the church because collection price money.
- 36:36Speaker 14: He's not going to do it. He's not going to
- 36:40Speaker 14: do it. He's not going to do it. He's not
- 36:51Speaker 14: going to do it. ways to get to you.
- 37:05Speaker 10: It might be a little rough to you.
- 37:08Speaker 14: It might be a challenge to you a little bit.
- 37:10Speaker 14: Your love is still there. You can share it.
- 37:12Speaker 10: It's a proper family. It's a good family. It's a
- 37:18Speaker 10: good family. It's a good family. It's a good family.
- 37:24Speaker 14: It's a good family. It's a good family. Oh, yeah.
- 37:36Speaker 14: But yeah, so did the wife. Mm hmm.
- 38:04Speaker 8: So, um, do you take your, your life journey and
- 38:12Speaker 8: put it in your books or do you use other
- 38:16Speaker 8: people's story?
- 38:17Speaker 10: I said, Awesome, awesome, awesome. So when you think about legacy,
- 38:41Speaker 10: what does.
- 38:46Speaker 8: That mean to you?
- 38:47Speaker 9: Legacy, period, around your life, whether it's your books, whether
- 39:09Speaker 9: it's your product, whether it's, what is legacy to you?
- 39:15Speaker 8: When you think of that word legacy, what does that mean?
- 39:19Speaker 18: I believe I'm a good friend of history. I've done
- 39:33Speaker 18: the books.
- 39:36Speaker 10: Then people know that this was his story. This is
- 39:40Speaker 10: what he changed from. And look what can happen. If
- 39:44Speaker 10: he can do it, so can I. My story did
- 39:47Speaker 10: not be the same as his, but just being bold
- 39:51Speaker 10: and standing in your purpose That part.
- 39:54Speaker 14: That part right there. Always listen. Listen to yourself. Listen
- 40:00Speaker 14: to your soul and your.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Heart.
- 40:04Speaker 14: We have caller number one in queue.
- 40:21Speaker 9: Caller number one, if you would, please state your name
- 40:24Speaker 9: and where you're calling from, please.
- 40:29Speaker 4: Yes, can you hear me? Yes. This is Cheryl. Hello, everybody.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Good evening, Queen. I decided to get on.
- 40:38Speaker 8: How are you?
- 40:40Speaker 4: I'm doing fine. I'm doing fine.
- 40:42Speaker 19: I'm just getting on so I really didn't know what
- 40:44Speaker 19: the topic was.
- 40:46Speaker 8: So we're talking about legacy. We're talking about our why.
- 40:53Speaker 17: Mr.
- 40:53Speaker 8: Durrell is an.
- 40:54Speaker 9: Author and he has written 36 books. He has written
- 41:01Speaker 9: books around diagnosis.
- 41:04Speaker 8: And I was actually sharing with him.
- 41:09Speaker 9: That you were someone that also wrote about diagnosis. So
- 41:15Speaker 9: this is my friend Cheryl. She is a lupus. She
- 41:21Speaker 9: has lupus. She's a breast cancer survivor. She struggles with
- 41:28Speaker 9: congested heart failure, but we don't claim none of those things.
- 41:31Speaker 9: God is definitely healing her. We have seen him do
- 41:37Speaker 9: miracles through her in the conditions that they have given her.
- 41:43Speaker 9: So she writes about her story. She tells her story.
- 41:46Speaker 9: She journals her story.
- 41:48Speaker 8: So, yeah. Do you have a question for him, Cheryl?
- 41:52Speaker 8: that you would like to ask them?
- 41:54Speaker 4: Well, yes. Congratulations, number one, on all your folks.
- 41:58Speaker 19: And I would like to know, since I missed some
- 42:00Speaker 19: of the conversations, what was your diagnosis?
- 42:02Speaker 4: Was it cancer or?
- 42:06Speaker 14: It was cancer. It was a baby.
- 42:07Speaker 10: And I would tell them that I'm more of a,
- 42:11Speaker 10: you know, most of us don't want to get in
- 42:14Speaker 10: the same condition.
- 42:15Speaker 14: But at all. They got it.
- 42:19Speaker 8: That's what I was going to say.
- 42:21Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 42:50Speaker 4: It's truly a blessing if you are here. It's not proper.
- 42:56Speaker 9: It's called the bigger plan. God had a bigger plan
- 43:02Speaker 9: for his life. He already knew what he was going
- 43:07Speaker 9: to do, what he was going to experience, all the
- 43:10Speaker 9: things that he was going to have to go through
- 43:13Speaker 9: before he was even conceived in this mother's womb. He
- 43:15Speaker 9: had already called him by name. He already knew that
- 43:20Speaker 9: What he was going to go through was going to
- 43:22Speaker 9: be able to help him through not just a little
- 43:26Speaker 9: space in life, but it was going to help him
- 43:28Speaker 9: to be able to put out these 36 books and
- 43:30Speaker 9: be able to do the things that he's doing now. See,
- 43:34Speaker 9: God don't make no mistakes. And he, you know, people
- 43:39Speaker 9: always say that God would never put more.
- 43:41Speaker 8: On you than you can bear.
- 43:42Speaker 9: I don't like that saying because he already know everything
- 43:47Speaker 9: about us. He created us. He know what we gonna
- 43:50Speaker 9: go through. He allow the things that we go through.
- 43:54Speaker 9: He allow us to go through. He give us free will.
- 43:59Speaker 9: That's what he do. He give us free will. We
- 44:01Speaker 9: can make choices and then we got to deal with
- 44:03Speaker 9: those consequences.
- 44:05Speaker 8: But he will. He will allow.
- 44:11Speaker 9: Us to go through some things to get us back
- 44:13Speaker 9: on the path that he's already mapped out for us.
- 44:17Speaker 9: Because it's already mapped out for us before even the
- 44:20Speaker 9: creation of time. So yeah, it wasn't a mistake. You
- 44:25Speaker 9: survived because you had to tell the story to some
- 44:30Speaker 9: that are going to come that's going to need your story.
- 44:33Speaker 9: They're going to need your strength. They're going to need
- 44:36Speaker 9: the hope that you had. They're going to need the
- 44:39Speaker 9: survival skills that you used. See, we all have people
- 44:43Speaker 9: that we're supposed to reach.
- 44:46Speaker 14: So yeah, it's a part of your journey. It is
- 44:49Speaker 14: a part of who you are.
- 44:50Speaker 10: God was yet working.
- 44:52Speaker 14: He was yet working on you.
- 45:11Speaker 9: Even when you was a baby, before you even knew.
- 45:14Speaker 9: That story is going to change a lot of people's lives.
- 45:17Speaker 9: Because a lot of times we wonder, why did we
- 45:19Speaker 9: have to go through this? You know, I listen to
- 45:22Speaker 9: people all the time. Because I do different podcasts. I'm
- 45:25Speaker 9: a part of different stuff. And I listen to people
- 45:27Speaker 9: talk about disabilities. I sit in on a podcast the
- 45:31Speaker 9: other day. Young ladies were talking about spina bifida. And
- 45:34Speaker 9: shout out to Latonya and Didi. They are living with
- 45:40Speaker 9: spina bifida. One is in confined to a wheelchair, but
- 45:44Speaker 9: one is able to walk, you know, and you don't
- 45:47Speaker 9: know the different things behind Spina Bifida. And both of
- 45:52Speaker 9: them were adopted. They were, they were put up for adoption.
- 45:56Speaker 9: And then they found families that took them in and
- 46:00Speaker 9: took care of them. And they had so many questions,
- 46:05Speaker 9: but God allowed their journey to, To be able to
- 46:08Speaker 9: be put in books. To be able to be talked
- 46:11Speaker 9: about on podcasts. Because there's other people out there that
- 46:15Speaker 9: need to hear this. So it's not a mistake.
- 46:17Speaker 14: It is a.
- 46:18Speaker 9: Part of that plan that he had for your life.
- 46:21Speaker 9: Jeremiah 29 and 11. When he declared that he had
- 46:26Speaker 9: a plan for you. And it was to prosper you,
- 46:28Speaker 9: not to harm you. For you to have hope in
- 46:31Speaker 9: the future. That was a part of that. You had
- 46:34Speaker 9: to go through it in order to be able to
- 46:36Speaker 9: tell somebody. So, yeah, hats off to hats off to
- 46:41Speaker 9: all of the survivors. Cheryl, I want to thank you
- 46:44Speaker 9: for pressing that start to and joining the conversation. I
- 46:48Speaker 9: thank you for all that you do. If you will,
- 46:50Speaker 9: please just tell those that are listening just a little
- 46:55Speaker 9: bit about who you are before you jump off.
- 46:59Speaker 19: Yes, good evening, everybody, and I thank you again for
- 47:02Speaker 19: always giving me the opportunity to come up here.
- 47:05Speaker 4: My name is Cheryl Northern-LeBrain, and, yes, I have seven e-books.
- 47:09Speaker 19: I do a lot of collaborating with the Queen, Angela.
- 47:11Speaker 19: We also are doing Dances of Enlightenment. We're going to
- 47:15Speaker 19: be on the New York Billboard coming up this weekend. But, yes,
- 47:19Speaker 19: I am a cancer survivor, a Lucas warrior. They diagnosed
- 47:22Speaker 19: me 16 years ago. They had me under the heart
- 47:26Speaker 19: surgery status, the heart status.
- 47:28Speaker 4: You can put in there some names that I don't
- 47:30Speaker 4: even know. But you know what, sir? God has me.
- 47:34Speaker 4: You know, I'm like the $ 6 million woman.
- 47:38Speaker 19: Every time they say I have some concerns, he motivates
- 47:41Speaker 19: me and inspires me. And for anybody that's listening, You
- 47:44Speaker 19: need to change our mindset and our conversation and speak
- 47:47Speaker 19: those things. That God is a healer, a provider, and
- 47:50Speaker 19: that he got us. Because sometimes we kill ourselves with
- 47:53Speaker 19: our mouth. Sometimes it's not the systems, it is the medicine,
- 47:57Speaker 19: or it's our mouth. So I speak life every day.
- 48:01Speaker 4: I've been at the hospital. I have flare-ups.
- 48:05Speaker 19: I have to go to the lupus doctor. Maybe once
- 48:07Speaker 19: a month, I have to go to see the cancer doctor.
- 48:10Speaker 19: Maybe twice a month, I have to go see the
- 48:12Speaker 19: heart failure.
- 48:14Speaker 4: You know, the heart doctor, all those things, I'm still standing.
- 48:17Speaker 19: And as we say, I will not be moved. You
- 48:20Speaker 19: can find me on Amazon, share the grants on my books.
- 48:26Speaker 19: You can find me on Facebook and share those on
- 48:28Speaker 19: the grants. You can find me on TikTok. And you
- 48:32Speaker 19: can find me on Instagram, Northern, if I'm Northern, or
- 48:36Speaker 19: if you're sure I'm Northern, or on Instagram. And I
- 48:40Speaker 19: want to just say thank you, Ms.
- 48:41Speaker 4: Andrews.
- 48:41Speaker 19: Thank you for always reminding me to do your best. Sir,
- 48:44Speaker 19: you keep pushing. You keep giving up as far as
- 48:46Speaker 19: we are. I refuse to sit down. I will continue
- 48:50Speaker 19: to push through.
- 48:51Speaker 4: And as long as you.
- 48:52Speaker 19: Die on my side, I cannot go wrong.
- 48:54Speaker 4: And this is my testimony. And thank you, sir, for
- 48:57Speaker 4: just your.
- 48:58Speaker 16: $ 70, 000.
- 48:59Speaker 4: But don't ever say you don't know why. Because like Mr.
- 49:02Speaker 19: Andrew said, he already used to be up here at
- 49:04Speaker 19: this day and this particular time.
- 49:06Speaker 4: So you keep saying the word because you are motivating
- 49:09Speaker 4: so many others. That's a fair enough. A lot of
- 49:11Speaker 4: times people don't say anything. But what good is that?
- 49:14Speaker 19: We are here to serve. We are here to give.
- 49:16Speaker 19: And God give all of us a story. And I
- 49:18Speaker 19: pray that you have a beautiful, blessed evening.
- 49:21Speaker 8: Well, thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
- 49:22Speaker 9: Thank you for joining in. And she mentioned they will
- 49:26Speaker 9: be on the billboard tomorrow in New York Times Square.
- 49:29Speaker 9: So shout out to her and the other eight amazing
- 49:34Speaker 9: queens that's going to be featured on the billboard. They're
- 49:36Speaker 9: going to be spotlighting their books. So if you're in
- 49:39Speaker 9: New York City, Times Square, look up and check them
- 49:43Speaker 9: out tomorrow. They'll be on every hour at the six-minute mark.
- 49:47Speaker 9: So we do have another caller in queue. We have
- 49:51Speaker 9: our WBNN Commissioner, Unique Parker.
- 49:59Speaker 8: Welcome, welcome, welcome. How are you, queen?
- 50:02Speaker 4: I'm fine.
- 50:03Speaker 14: I'm fine.
- 50:03Speaker 4: I'm fine. I'm fine. You're on your show.
- 50:08Speaker 19: You've got an amazing show, and I'm enjoying what I've
- 50:11Speaker 19: been hearing.
- 50:12Speaker 4: You know, one thing.
- 50:13Speaker 19: That I want to say that I'm glad that our
- 50:16Speaker 19: book is coming out, you know, like a tree by
- 50:22Speaker 19: the river of life. You know, that book was awesome.
- 50:26Speaker 19: We have so many testimonies, so many beautiful poems that's
- 50:30Speaker 19: going to be.
- 50:30Speaker 14: In that book.
- 50:32Speaker 19: And, you know, I hope everybody go on Amazon and
- 50:36Speaker 19: get their copy because I know I'm going to get
- 50:38Speaker 19: my copy. So I can really get several copies. I'll
- 50:41Speaker 19: probably get some out for Christmas gifts. But, you know,
- 50:46Speaker 19: just listening to everything that's been said, one thing that
- 50:52Speaker 19: I can say about.
- 50:54Speaker 16: The book is that we all collaborate together.
- 50:59Speaker 4: You know, we speak life. and to each other. There's
- 51:03Speaker 4: no malice or strife.
- 51:05Speaker 19: You know, like God said, we all got a gift,
- 51:08Speaker 19: and we have to separate the care.
- 51:11Speaker 4: From the weak. You know, we have to sit.
- 51:13Speaker 19: Up and keep communicating so we can collaborate.
- 51:17Speaker 4: You know, we is no big act, no little deal.
- 51:21Speaker 4: We always come.
- 51:23Speaker 19: Together through and through, you know, and I just appreciate it.
- 51:27Speaker 19: All these great authors is coming together, you know, We
- 51:32Speaker 19: don't look at each individual. We all have our individual personality.
- 51:38Speaker 19: But when we come together, one thing that I like
- 51:41Speaker 19: is always in unity. And, you know, I support everybody's shows. And,
- 51:48Speaker 19: you know, I support them.
- 51:50Speaker 4: They support me. And I'm just being transparent about it.
- 51:54Speaker 19: You know, a lot of times, you know, in this life,
- 51:58Speaker 19: on this journey, you know, I told my sister today,
- 52:02Speaker 19: I said, everybody wants you to be a.
- 52:07Speaker 4: Convenience to them.
- 52:09Speaker 19: But then when it comes to you, they make you
- 52:12Speaker 19: an inconvenience. So, you know, don't, even with that, you
- 52:16Speaker 19: don't let people stop with the God-given gift that he
- 52:20Speaker 19: has given you.
- 52:22Speaker 4: You let it speak to your voice.
- 52:25Speaker 19: Because God gave you that right and that choice, you know.
- 52:29Speaker 19: No matter how much people try not to hold you down,
- 52:33Speaker 19: you keep wearing your king's and queen's crown. And I
- 52:37Speaker 19: just love what we're doing.
- 52:39Speaker 4: I love the group.
- 52:40Speaker 19: That we're sitting out there for people to read.
- 52:43Speaker 4: You know, I appreciate you.
- 52:45Speaker 19: I appreciate WBNN for letting me have a moment.
- 52:49Speaker 4: I appreciate the... Excuse me, the devil's trying to tow
- 52:57Speaker 4: me up.
- 52:58Speaker 19: I appreciate your podcast for letting me be on your
- 53:06Speaker 19: platform as well. And, you know, I know my show
- 53:11Speaker 19: is coming up next Tuesday.
- 53:13Speaker 4: And, you know, I.
- 53:14Speaker 19: Just did some of my poems that.
- 53:17Speaker 4: God gave me. I used them, you know.
- 53:20Speaker 19: When God gave me the mindset to write them, you know, we.
- 53:24Speaker 4: All have struggles.
- 53:25Speaker 19: We all have been through domestic violence.
- 53:29Speaker 4: We've been through cancer. We've been through grief, death. There's
- 53:35Speaker 4: a lot of things.
- 53:36Speaker 14: Abuse.
- 53:37Speaker 19: All wrapped up in war. And nobody cares.
- 53:41Speaker 4: And nobody....
- 53:45Speaker 19: Turmoil and challenges that they have been through is greater
- 53:49Speaker 19: than any other.
- 53:50Speaker 4: Everybody have a voice. Everybody got a story.
- 53:54Speaker 8: Amen.
- 53:57Speaker 4: You know, our journey.
- 53:58Speaker 19: And our purposes coming from God to help those that
- 54:02Speaker 19: don't have a voice or are scared to speak out
- 54:06Speaker 19: with their voice to help them along the way and
- 54:09Speaker 19: I just appreciate you for letting all these people come
- 54:12Speaker 19: together just for us to have a voice and.
- 54:15Speaker 4: Tell our purpose and have a praise behind it.
- 54:18Speaker 8: Well one thing I can say is Mr.
- 54:21Speaker 9: Johnson has utilized his gifts and his talents to be
- 54:25Speaker 9: able to do just that. To be able to impact lives,
- 54:28Speaker 9: to be able to Try to be that change that
- 54:31Speaker 9: you want to see.
- 54:31Speaker 8: In this world.
- 54:32Speaker 9: He uses his voice through his books. He has published
- 54:37Speaker 9: 36 books. Do you have any questions that you would
- 54:41Speaker 9: like to ask him before I bring up our next guest?
- 54:48Speaker 4: I would like to.
- 54:49Speaker 19: How did you feel when you first found out the
- 54:54Speaker 19: gift that God gave.
- 54:55Speaker 4: You to do?
- 55:00Speaker 10: It was like a shock to me because initially, Black Faith,
- 55:05Speaker 10: it told me because I was supposed.
- 55:07Speaker 14: To be an assistant and doing, you know, helping families.
- 55:14Speaker 10: I was like, I've done the program, I've done the.
- 55:20Speaker 14: Show, and I.
- 55:23Speaker 10: Just didn't finish my school. And then I was, you know,
- 55:27Speaker 10: I was like, yeah, you know, that's how it is.
- 55:31Speaker 14: So I was more sure, what about it? It's important.
- 55:33Speaker 14: I had a lot of stories.
- 55:35Speaker 10: So that was telling me, you know, go back to
- 55:41Speaker 10: your life.
- 56:00Speaker 9: See, what we do is sometimes we allow our parents,
- 56:05Speaker 9: we allow a lot of people to lead us down
- 56:09Speaker 9: different directions and encourage us to do these things when
- 56:12Speaker 9: we know that deep down in our heart, deep down
- 56:15Speaker 9: in our soul, deep down in our spirit, we're supposed
- 56:18Speaker 9: to be doing something else. You say that you were
- 56:20Speaker 9: supposed to be a mortician.
- 56:23Speaker 8: No, you weren't.
- 56:23Speaker 9: You're supposed to be a writer. He gave you that
- 56:27Speaker 9: gift and he allowed you to operate in it, but
- 56:28Speaker 9: that was what you was choosing. So he was allowing
- 56:31Speaker 9: you to do it until you find out that that
- 56:36Speaker 9: was not where you were supposed to be. And then
- 56:40Speaker 9: he showed you where you were supposed to be. See,
- 56:43Speaker 9: a lot of times we make decisions based on what
- 56:47Speaker 9: our family members think. Our parents encourage us to go
- 56:50Speaker 9: to college when sometimes college ain't for everybody. They encourage
- 56:55Speaker 9: us to do these different things. They encourage us to
- 56:57Speaker 9: get into sports. And not all of us are into sports.
- 57:00Speaker 9: But they encourage us to do these things because that's
- 57:03Speaker 9: what they think would be better for us. Instead of
- 57:07Speaker 9: allowing us to craft those gifts that he's placed within us.
- 57:12Speaker 14: Wow.
- 57:14Speaker 9: I'm enjoying the conversation. I'm enjoying the conversation. Unique was
- 57:18Speaker 9: the young lady that I was talking about earlier. She
- 57:21Speaker 9: has the gift of poetry. And I tell her all
- 57:25Speaker 9: the time, if she would just use that gift more
- 57:28Speaker 9: and more, that God would open more doors for her.
- 57:32Speaker 9: And she started to do it and he started to
- 57:34Speaker 9: open more doors for her.
- 57:37Speaker 8: So, yeah.
- 57:38Speaker 9: Thank you, Commissioner Unique Parker, for stopping by and sharing
- 57:42Speaker 9: with us.
- 57:45Speaker 8: She will be on Tuesday. So if y'all would please
- 57:48Speaker 8: tune back in. Her show is always amazing.
- 57:52Speaker 9: So we have our Our other guest, he was running
- 57:56Speaker 9: a little late, had to work over a little later
- 58:00Speaker 9: than normal. But he pressed his way. He made it
- 58:03Speaker 9: on into the building. So I'm going to bring him
- 58:07Speaker 9: on up.
- 58:07Speaker 8: Mr. Beatty, come on in the room.
- 58:18Speaker 4: I'm doing great.
- 58:19Speaker 8: Can't complain. So how are you? Yeah, that comes with the.
- 58:34Speaker 9: Territory sometimes when we are trying to walk out this
- 58:38Speaker 9: thing we call purpose.
- 58:41Speaker 8: Along with life. Because life be lifin'. Life be lifin'..
- 58:51Speaker 9: If you would, please, for those that don't know who
- 58:54Speaker 9: you are, if you would please introduce yourself.
- 59:02Speaker 14: I don't know. One moment.
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: Well, tonight we have been talking about purpose. We've been
- 1:00:14Speaker 9: talking about why. I mean, we've just been having a
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: conversation just trying to, you know, give those that are
- 1:00:21Speaker 9: tuned in a little more in depth of who we are,
- 1:00:25Speaker 9: why we do the things that we do, how we
- 1:00:28Speaker 9: got here, things of that nature.
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: So one question, what is your why? Why did you
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: write the books?
- 1:01:13Speaker 14: Okay.
- 1:01:52Speaker 9: So let me ask a question. We're gonna I have
- 1:02:00Speaker 9: a couple of questions I want to ask about faith,
- 1:02:05Speaker 9: purpose and obedience. I want to know what role has
- 1:02:13Speaker 9: faith played in your journey as an author and.
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: Purpose driven leader? Um, Mr. Darrell, if you could answer
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: that question and then, um, Mr.
- 1:02:24Speaker 14: Beatty. What was that?
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: What role has faith played in your journey as an
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: author and purpose driven leader?
- 1:02:42Speaker 10: Say, um, fans versus being, uh, raised here in the
- 1:02:46Speaker 10: office of the church. The black family, they raised me
- 1:02:50Speaker 10: to go to church. And don't ever forget, you know,
- 1:02:54Speaker 10: where you come from. That's why in my story, I
- 1:02:57Speaker 10: always try to have, you know, a Christian story to me.
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: You know what I mean?
- 1:03:04Speaker 14: You know what I.
- 1:03:06Speaker 15: Mean?
- 1:03:15Speaker 8: And Mr.
- 1:03:16Speaker 14: Beattie?
- 1:03:54Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 1:04:27Speaker 14: Goodbye.
- 1:05:09Speaker 9: So, we actually have another caller in for you. Caller,
- 1:05:15Speaker 9: if you would, please state your name and where you're
- 1:05:18Speaker 9: calling from.
- 1:05:18Speaker 16: My travel name is Fulgham Park.
- 1:05:23Speaker 14: I'm in my teenage days. My name is Master. I
- 1:05:25Speaker 14: met your man for real.
- 1:05:27Speaker 15: Currently, I'm calling from Houston.
- 1:05:30Speaker 14: How you doing?
- 1:05:31Speaker 16: There's a daughter of mine in special honor guest from
- 1:05:35Speaker 16: the Lillian and John Michelle.
- 1:05:38Speaker 14: Wow.
- 1:05:40Speaker 16: I've always said that when my soul hears yours begin,
- 1:05:46Speaker 16: and this was definitely.
- 1:05:48Speaker 15: Another one for the record book.
- 1:05:51Speaker 16: Excellent subject matter, creative content, translation, and delivery. Let me
- 1:06:02Speaker 16: speak about question that you posed at your introduction.
- 1:06:09Speaker 15: Coffee or water?
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Right now, I'm going.
- 1:06:12Speaker 16: To say it's kind of tangible because as I was
- 1:06:16Speaker 16: writing the last show, I spoke about what.
- 1:06:21Speaker 15: It's like to be able.
- 1:06:25Speaker 16: To hear a character's voice. which was the very first
- 1:06:35Speaker 16: of him, and if I'm finding trouble here or in
- 1:06:38Speaker 16: my partner, it's because, what we say to our consumers
- 1:06:42Speaker 16: is that I said, well, in 1984, well, anyone who
- 1:06:48Speaker 16: said a mission to our story and gave a talk
- 1:06:50Speaker 16: about our story and definitely went a big time this year,
- 1:06:53Speaker 16: we would say that it was on June 13th, 1985,
- 1:06:56Speaker 16: 1230 minutes, is when I had my official born again.
- 1:07:03Speaker 16: But this is the same born again that most people
- 1:07:06Speaker 16: have heard about. It's been known in different ways. It's
- 1:07:11Speaker 16: called a born again in the Christian faith.
- 1:07:15Speaker 14: And it's called a born.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: Again in the Christian faith.
- 1:07:18Speaker 15: And it's called a born.
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: Again in the Christian faith.
- 1:07:29Speaker 16: But when I had my born again, when I started
- 1:07:32Speaker 16: to transform and started to remember, it kind of reminded
- 1:07:37Speaker 16: me of that movie, Holy Recon.
- 1:07:40Speaker 14: It kind of worked me.
- 1:07:42Speaker 16: I started to remember who and what I was. And
- 1:07:47Speaker 16: then what made it so unique, one of the.
- 1:07:50Speaker 15: Things that was interesting to.
- 1:07:53Speaker 16: Me after I was at home, It says, it might
- 1:08:01Speaker 16: as well have been seen on a scripture, right? And
- 1:08:05Speaker 16: they say it's not a thing, just the correct name.
- 1:08:09Speaker 14: Most people know this. Chapter 15, verse 13 and 14, right?
- 1:08:15Speaker 14: And that's all.
- 1:08:16Speaker 15: We had a prophecy.
- 1:08:18Speaker 16: We spoke about the appearance of Abraham, the father Abraham,
- 1:08:23Speaker 16: looking different than his father.
- 1:08:25Speaker 15: I spoke of 400 years.
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: This is mine.
- 1:08:28Speaker 14: We've seen this.
- 1:08:29Speaker 15: In 1985.
- 1:08:29Speaker 16: And it was on June 19th, on June.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: 19th, when we wanted to start the research.
- 1:08:40Speaker 16: This is where Black History United said that there was
- 1:08:44Speaker 16: a group of people that was taken from the continent
- 1:08:47Speaker 16: of Africa and brought over here to the shores of
- 1:08:50Speaker 16: Atlanta and they.
- 1:08:52Speaker 15: Were sent by this black group to the distance.
- 1:08:55Speaker 20: Right?
- 1:08:56Speaker 15: So what do we mean about My, Mr.
- 1:08:59Speaker 14: Holland.
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:08:50Speaker 16: So what's the news about my initial calling?
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: I literally was trying to speak.
- 1:09:02Speaker 14: I literally was speaking at the time.
- 1:09:05Speaker 16: And I was woken up out of my sleep to
- 1:09:08Speaker 16: do pretty much what I'm doing today.
- 1:09:10Speaker 15: So that's my purpose. That's my why.
- 1:09:12Speaker 16: And again, if you count the numbers, those are total,
- 1:09:17Speaker 16: if I'm correct, 74 units.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: From 2019's up.
- 1:09:21Speaker 16: When you do the historical research, according to historians, that it.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Was 1519, right? If you go 1519 to 2019, that's.
- 1:09:33Speaker 16: Your 40 years of philosophy, according to history. And we
- 1:09:38Speaker 16: are the people, the original sons and daughters of the
- 1:09:40Speaker 16: most high. So the Mother Nature of God is described
- 1:09:47Speaker 16: by two or three. The government don't deny it.
- 1:09:53Speaker 15: Hollywood don't deny it.
- 1:09:55Speaker 16: But the ones that have been denied it is the
- 1:09:58Speaker 16: very first children of the Moabites that still happen to
- 1:10:01Speaker 16: be us.
- 1:10:03Speaker 15: And the whole of, you know, the Moabites, the whole of.
- 1:10:08Speaker 16: The Christian is just not enough of us to actually
- 1:10:11Speaker 16: hear what.
- 1:10:12Speaker 15: Was written in words. And we don't hear anything that
- 1:10:15Speaker 15: the Christians say. And we don't believe it. And again,
- 1:10:19Speaker 15: I bring this.
- 1:10:19Speaker 16: To a close, because if you look at myself, and
- 1:10:25Speaker 16: you put.
- 1:10:25Speaker 15: The photo, and you look at my poster, and you
- 1:10:30Speaker 15: look at my.
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: Untold hero, he's a blind-haired ghost, right?
- 1:10:36Speaker 16: Right? And what's so unique about it, I was doing
- 1:10:40Speaker 16: my best to be obedient to my.
- 1:10:41Speaker 15: Calling, and I was trying to listen to somebody's side
- 1:10:44Speaker 15: of God for it.
- 1:10:46Speaker 16: I was accused of being called a racist, you know what,
- 1:10:50Speaker 16: fill in the blank.
- 1:10:52Speaker 14: Right?
- 1:10:52Speaker 10: I was called inside.
- 1:10:53Speaker 15: Of people who looked just like me.
- 1:10:57Speaker 14: Right?
- 1:10:57Speaker 15: Who looked just like me.
- 1:10:58Speaker 16: And I'm doing my best to take this message to
- 1:11:02Speaker 16: the people who were stonewashed, brainwashed, to say that everything
- 1:11:08Speaker 16: was right. Right?
- 1:11:10Speaker 15: And who were guilty for being people.
- 1:11:13Speaker 17: That the Charles Manson-looking image of our Lord and Savior
- 1:11:17Speaker 17: that completely is opposite of what the book of Revelation
- 1:11:20Speaker 17: describes him as.
- 1:11:23Speaker 16: But they call me the racist. You see how people
- 1:11:27Speaker 16: can be really hypocritical. But again, think about that. 34
- 1:11:32Speaker 16: years of people that.
- 1:11:33Speaker 11: Took heed, that met me when I was walking the
- 1:11:36Speaker 11: streets of Nile, when I was traveling pretty much internationally,
- 1:11:41Speaker 11: We're speaking engagement at prestigious colleges, our prison ministry, for
- 1:11:48Speaker 11: the worldwide.
- 1:11:49Speaker 15: We can call.
- 1:11:50Speaker 17: And I always say it's not about hate, it's.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: About us and ourselves.
- 1:11:54Speaker 17: And this is one thing that people have got to stop,
- 1:11:56Speaker 17: that color don't matter.
- 1:11:58Speaker 16: Because when we, as a personal people, get our souls
- 1:12:02Speaker 16: into images that are just.
- 1:12:04Speaker 15: Not true, it's a slap in the face.
- 1:12:06Speaker 14: You know, I love Martin Schulman.
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: Well, thank you. Thank you. Thank you for stopping by
- 1:12:16Speaker 8: and sharing. If you would, please.
- 1:12:19Speaker 9: Tell everybody when your next show is.
- 1:12:23Speaker 15: My next show will be 30 minutes from last night.
- 1:12:27Speaker 14: That's what I can do.
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: All right, now.
- 1:12:30Speaker 14: It will be 30 minutes from last Friday.
- 1:12:39Speaker 16: Because that's why I have my Mooney Bar Cartoon Unleashed.
- 1:12:42Speaker 20: That's when I'm able to be a lot more involved
- 1:12:47Speaker 20: than what you're listening to tonight.
- 1:12:49Speaker 17: Anyway, I love you with the heart and soul of me,
- 1:12:52Speaker 17: spiritual borderline, and I'm so proud of you, and I'm
- 1:12:55Speaker 17: so looking.
- 1:12:55Speaker 15: Forward to you receiving it.
- 1:12:58Speaker 16: I know it's in the nomination stage for your lifetime
- 1:13:00Speaker 16: to see you, but you have done so much for us,
- 1:13:04Speaker 16: our great company of WDMA and the rest.
- 1:13:07Speaker 14: Of the world.
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: Well, thank you.
- 1:13:09Speaker 9: Thank you for all that you do and continue to do.
- 1:13:12Speaker 9: We have another caller in queue. Caller, if you would,
- 1:13:15Speaker 9: please state your name and where you're calling from.
- 1:13:22Speaker 8: You say you're going to Walmart. You're live on WBNN
- 1:13:27Speaker 8: walking in purpose with Angela.
- 1:13:28Speaker 15: It's in the background.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: I'm trying to hurry up and get out. I'm so sorry,
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: but it's Kay Bronco.
- 1:13:42Speaker 15: How you doing?
- 1:13:44Speaker 8: I can't complain. Won't complain.
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: So the part that I actually got to hear you
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: were talking about purposes, life purposes.
- 1:13:54Speaker 13: And faith and things like that, I kind of chimed
- 1:13:58Speaker 13: in on the button because I was coming forward.
- 1:14:01Speaker 8: Yes, we're talking about our why and.
- 1:14:05Speaker 9: We're um looping it with legacy um the the name
- 1:14:11Speaker 9: of my show is walking in purpose so we always
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: gotta have purpose in there because purpose ties with everything
- 1:14:18Speaker 9: but um my guest tonight they are two authors um
- 1:14:22Speaker 9: one was sharing his journey on being born with meningitis
- 1:14:26Speaker 9: and how um there was other babies that was born
- 1:14:31Speaker 9: at same at the same time um none of them
- 1:14:33Speaker 9: survived but he survived and um we have been just
- 1:14:38Speaker 9: having a conversation about the things that he do, um,
- 1:14:42Speaker 9: the things that he has done.
- 1:14:43Speaker 8: And then, um, Mr.
- 1:14:44Speaker 9: Beatty, he was, he was running late because he had
- 1:14:47Speaker 9: to work over and he was chimed in to tell
- 1:14:50Speaker 9: us about, um, his journey as an author, um, a
- 1:14:54Speaker 9: little bit about why he write. And, um, we was
- 1:14:57Speaker 9: just chiming in with each other, but, um, we were,
- 1:15:01Speaker 9: we was talking about why.
- 1:15:03Speaker 8: So do you know, um, your why?
- 1:15:15Speaker 9: Why your why could be why you survive, why you
- 1:15:19Speaker 9: do what you do.
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: It could be so many different things. It can be
- 1:15:26Speaker 8: your inspiration.
- 1:15:27Speaker 17: Yes. Yes.
- 1:15:35Speaker 19: But i never figured i thank him for every note
- 1:15:38Speaker 19: for every subject or for every letdown because within that
- 1:15:42Speaker 19: i would not be what i.
- 1:15:43Speaker 13: Am and i know it sounds cliche but i honestly
- 1:15:45Speaker 13: thank him at nine years old i got raised my
- 1:15:48Speaker 13: mama gave me to a man from a lesson the next.
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: Morning she got up and busted him in.
- 1:15:52Speaker 13: The face with the hot iron but the man was
- 1:15:54Speaker 13: beating on her as i came to find out later
- 1:15:56Speaker 13: in life and she really had no choice he was
- 1:15:58Speaker 13: gonna hurt me or her either way my why is
- 1:16:02Speaker 13: because No matter what I've been through, no matter what
- 1:16:05Speaker 13: adversity I've faced, I'm still standing.
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: My why is because.
- 1:16:09Speaker 13: I've been through sickness. I've been through beating the hell
- 1:16:12Speaker 13: out of people, been through freezing. I'm still standing. My
- 1:16:16Speaker 13: why is because I'm glad God anointed me and he's
- 1:16:19Speaker 13: fit for me to be able to, like, I work,
- 1:16:22Speaker 13: I'm a TNA.
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: I see what people, most of the time, I see
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: what people want. So I was, a lot of, for
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: me to, to be worthy to do that for people.
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: My wife, just because.
- 1:16:34Speaker 13: I love God and I want to live and I
- 1:16:38Speaker 13: love living, helping, and doing, that's my wife. She has
- 1:16:43Speaker 13: been more than great to me, more than gracious.
- 1:16:47Speaker 8: Amen.
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: That's my wife.
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: Amen, amen, amen.
- 1:16:52Speaker 9: Do you have any questions that you would like to
- 1:16:55Speaker 9: ask the guests?
- 1:16:58Speaker 13: I don't have any questions, but I would just like
- 1:17:00Speaker 13: to say that y'all keep going, keep moving, and I'm
- 1:17:03Speaker 13: glad your wives are so strong and beautiful. And I'm
- 1:17:07Speaker 13: glad that you guys decided to stay around, stick around,
- 1:17:10Speaker 13: and help all around.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: My name is Kate Brockley. And when is your next show?
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: I believe my next show is the 31st of October.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: thank you guys I'm out.
- 1:17:36Speaker 9: Well thank you for sharing thank you for sharing because
- 1:17:40Speaker 9: I know it's not always easy to share your whys.
- 1:17:44Speaker 8: But I want people.
- 1:17:48Speaker 9: To understand that there is a responsibility behind being an
- 1:17:53Speaker 9: author these guys just are not publishing books and putting
- 1:17:58Speaker 9: books out But there's a responsibility that comes behind having
- 1:18:04Speaker 9: a voice as an author. For many authors, purpose is
- 1:18:08Speaker 9: deeply connected to our faith. Sometimes writing books is an
- 1:18:13Speaker 9: act of obedience. Sometimes speaking out is an act of courage.
- 1:18:17Speaker 9: And sometimes stepping into the spotlight is not about fame.
- 1:18:21Speaker 9: It is about an assignment. Being an author is a
- 1:18:24Speaker 9: powerful way to shape to allow our words to shape people.
- 1:18:32Speaker 9: Words can heal, words can challenge, words can comfort, words
- 1:18:36Speaker 9: can expose, and words can inspire. That means that an
- 1:18:42Speaker 9: author carries a responsibility that goes far beyond a book,
- 1:18:49Speaker 9: a pen, and a piece of paper. So with that
- 1:18:53Speaker 9: being said, I want to ask this question of the authors.
- 1:18:58Speaker 9: I want y'all to think about this as we allow
- 1:19:02Speaker 9: column number four to come up and share. I want
- 1:19:06Speaker 9: y'all to think about this because after column number four,
- 1:19:09Speaker 9: I want you guys to answer this question. How do
- 1:19:14Speaker 9: you handle the responsibility of knowing that your words may
- 1:19:20Speaker 9: influence someone's healing, mindset, or next decision? I want you
- 1:19:26Speaker 9: to think about that as we chime in to caller
- 1:19:30Speaker 9: number four. Caller number four, if you would, please state
- 1:19:33Speaker 9: your name and where you're calling from.
- 1:19:37Speaker 14: Green Green. My name is Rocky. Thank you. I'm calling
- 1:19:40Speaker 14: from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- 1:19:42Speaker 15: How are you this evening?
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:19:43Speaker 8: How are you?
- 1:19:47Speaker 14: I think I only called you one other time.
- 1:19:51Speaker 20: You had a sister from Pittsburgh on your stuff. Normally,
- 1:19:55Speaker 20: I'm through by now, but I called again.
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: Well, thank you for chiming in. Has there been anything
- 1:20:03Speaker 8: that's been said?
- 1:20:03Speaker 14: Yes, I have.
- 1:20:09Speaker 15: It's really interesting.
- 1:20:11Speaker 20: You know, I hear that I know people, a brother
- 1:20:14Speaker 20: and a sister. Her last name is LeGrand. I only
- 1:20:17Speaker 20: met with one other person. Her name was LeGrand. Anyway,
- 1:20:25Speaker 20: thank you for sharing. So, like, I was born with
- 1:20:30Speaker 20: a mother almost matured with me three times. And I
- 1:20:33Speaker 20: was born with two mothers and a sister. That was
- 1:20:45Speaker 20: when we, like, you know, it was not meant to
- 1:20:51Speaker 20: be here, you know. You know what I mean?
- 1:21:17Speaker 14: We deserve that. We've gone through a lot of things. Like,
- 1:21:22Speaker 14: I don't know if you like wrestling.
- 1:21:24Speaker 16: I don't know if you enjoy it.
- 1:21:27Speaker 14: I don't know if you want to move. We're in
- 1:21:33Speaker 14: a pod. We can do that pod.
- 1:21:36Speaker 16: I don't know if you like wrestling. I don't know
- 1:21:39Speaker 16: if you like wrestling. I don't know if you like wrestling. Which,
- 1:21:47Speaker 16: you know, sometimes you're going to hit something, and you're
- 1:21:50Speaker 16: probably going to respect.
- 1:21:53Speaker 14: It. So I had her, and I was just doing yoga.
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: And I was.
- 1:21:57Speaker 14: Coming from a place where.
- 1:21:58Speaker 16: I could see that I was doing it, and I
- 1:21:59Speaker 16: was doing it in a way that I didn't want
- 1:22:01Speaker 16: to do it.
- 1:22:01Speaker 14: In a way that I didn't want to do it
- 1:22:03Speaker 14: in a way that I didn't.
- 1:22:06Speaker 16: Want to do it in a way that I didn't
- 1:22:08Speaker 16: want to do it in a way that I didn't
- 1:22:09Speaker 16: want to do it.
- 1:22:17Speaker 20: That being said, it seems to help us in this process.
- 1:22:22Speaker 14: See what we can do.
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: I don't know where.
- 1:22:25Speaker 14: You are. I don't know where you are. I don't
- 1:22:27Speaker 14: know where you are. I don't know where you are.
- 1:22:49Speaker 14: Thank you for sharing. Thank you for sharing your eyes. Oh,
- 1:22:54Speaker 14: that's great. I mean, because I was teaching at a
- 1:23:19Speaker 14: new school. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: One person said she had an.
- 1:23:25Speaker 14: Interest in college. I said, well, I'm going to go
- 1:23:29Speaker 14: to college. I'm going to go to college.
- 1:23:47Speaker 9: Well, thank you for coming on and sharing with us
- 1:23:52Speaker 9: and chiming in and pressing that star two to join
- 1:23:55Speaker 9: the conversation. And we encourage you as authors, we encourage.
- 1:24:03Speaker 8: You to get those books published, whether you want.
- 1:24:05Speaker 9: To self-publish them or if you want someone to publish
- 1:24:10Speaker 9: them for you, get those books published because If God
- 1:24:14Speaker 9: gave you those books, there's someone out there that needs
- 1:24:17Speaker 9: those books. So we encourage you to get those books
- 1:24:20Speaker 9: out there, to put them out there so that they
- 1:24:22Speaker 9: can impact the people that they're supposed to. Because there's
- 1:24:28Speaker 9: some readers that are waiting on those books to help
- 1:24:32Speaker 9: them along with their journey. I thank you for coming
- 1:24:36Speaker 9: on and sharing. So guys, have y'all thought about that
- 1:24:41Speaker 9: question I asked? How do you handle the responsibility of
- 1:24:47Speaker 9: knowing that your words may influence someone's healing, mindset, or
- 1:24:54Speaker 9: next decision? And just from that conversation alone, that that
- 1:24:59Speaker 9: should have gave you some um.
- 1:25:03Speaker 8: So, Mr. Beatty, we're going to start with you.
- 1:25:13Speaker 14: Mr.
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: Beatty, are you there?
- 1:25:18Speaker 11: Daryl?
- 1:25:21Speaker 14: I'm here.
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: Well, maybe Mr. Beatty dropped off. We don't know what
- 1:25:24Speaker 9: happened to his phone. If you can answer that question
- 1:25:28Speaker 9: for me.
- 1:25:32Speaker 18: I'm still in the midst of relief and excitement because
- 1:25:37Speaker 18: it's like you're being alone.
- 1:25:41Speaker 14: There's some people I mean, people. You know, if I
- 1:25:46Speaker 14: can't do it, I have to, like, watch what you
- 1:25:48Speaker 14: do because you don't know if people are watching you,
- 1:25:53Speaker 14: you know, if you're doing.
- 1:25:56Speaker 16: It right, or, you know, how good it is to
- 1:25:59Speaker 16: do what you want to do. I will tell it again, sometimes,
- 1:26:06Speaker 16: because we know that I'm a star.
- 1:26:10Speaker 14: People, even in the name of God, can't do it. Right, right.
- 1:26:16Speaker 14: So our time is winding down.
- 1:26:20Speaker 10: So I want to get your final thoughts for tonight's.
- 1:26:44Speaker 9: In your final thoughts, I want you to answer this question.
- 1:26:48Speaker 9: And I also want you to share with the listeners
- 1:26:52Speaker 9: how they can connect with you, purchase your books, follow
- 1:26:56Speaker 9: your platforms, all of those good things. But I want
- 1:27:00Speaker 9: you to answer this question in your final thoughts. What
- 1:27:03Speaker 9: would you say to the person who knows they have
- 1:27:06Speaker 9: a story but has not yet found the courage to
- 1:27:10Speaker 9: write it or to share it?
- 1:27:18Speaker 10: Tell the story because it may be something in there
- 1:27:23Speaker 10: that they need to find out. That story will change
- 1:27:27Speaker 10: how they feel in their life completely. I think it's,
- 1:27:48Speaker 10: you know, in the 1960s, you don't know what people.
- 1:27:53Speaker 17: We're all going through, we're all living life, we don't.
- 1:27:56Speaker 14: Know what everybody's going through in this world.
- 1:28:01Speaker 10: Each person has a story to tell, but you have
- 1:28:05Speaker 10: to have experiences.
- 1:28:09Speaker 14: To follow. You don't know what to do, who to find.
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: Who to save.
- 1:28:17Speaker 14: You know, you just need to feel that you can
- 1:28:18Speaker 14: help even more people. The fourth step is to be
- 1:28:24Speaker 14: able to do everything that God has given you. You've
- 1:28:29Speaker 14: got to find me on YouTube.
- 1:28:33Speaker 20: I use YouTube.
- 1:28:33Speaker 14: You can find me on YouTube. You can find me
- 1:28:36Speaker 14: on YouTube. Awesome, awesome, awesome.
- 1:28:50Speaker 8: Well, I definitely thank you for sharing.
- 1:28:54Speaker 9: For that person that may not have the courage, I
- 1:28:58Speaker 9: want you to know that Start where you are.
- 1:29:03Speaker 8: Don't wait for perfection. Your story matters. Write for the
- 1:29:08Speaker 8: person who needs your words.
- 1:29:10Speaker 9: Your pain was not wasted. Your voice is necessary. Legacy
- 1:29:16Speaker 9: starts with obedience. Let that be a reminder that you
- 1:29:22Speaker 9: don't have to start big.
- 1:29:24Speaker 8: All you have to do is just start.
- 1:29:27Speaker 9: Whether it's a book, The message or the movement, it
- 1:29:32Speaker 9: begins with your yes.
- 1:29:35Speaker 8: And y'all, it's Ngozi time.
- 1:29:40Speaker 14: First of all, I want to thank all the folks
- 1:29:41Speaker 14: who have been brought in here tonight.
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: What a wonderful outstanding program to hear this.
- 1:29:44Speaker 14: From our heart. Congratulations to Ngozi for the time that
- 1:29:47Speaker 14: she spent on her 80th birthday. She has been all
- 1:29:48Speaker 14: time connected to the record, but she's gone from 9th
- 1:29:51Speaker 14: to 10th. She's gone from 9th to 10th. She's gone
- 1:29:52Speaker 14: from 9th to 10th. She's gone from 9th to 10th.
- 1:29:53Speaker 14: She's gone from 9th to 10th. I'm going to.
- 1:30:21Speaker 16: Go ahead and turn it on.
- 1:30:50Speaker 14: But I'm not saying that's a good thing.
- 1:30:53Speaker 16: What's important is that people ran lost on all that,
- 1:30:56Speaker 16: so you didn't do anything in the end of that either. So,
- 1:31:00Speaker 16: through the internet network, we still got a job.
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: We still got a job.
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: We still got.
- 1:31:10Speaker 10: A job.
- 1:31:12Speaker 14: We still got a job. We still got a job.
- 1:31:16Speaker 14: We still got a job.
- 1:31:21Speaker 10: It's time to get on with the program tonight.
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: Oh, and let me just go to a question. Do
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: you guys have time right now?
- 1:31:31Speaker 14: Do you have a question for Lisa?
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: I'm going to let.
- 1:31:37Speaker 17: Everyone go there.
- 1:31:44Speaker 15: I'm going to ask you a question.
- 1:31:47Speaker 14: I'm going to ask you a question.
- 1:31:49Speaker 4: I'm going to ask you a question. Unmuted. Very nice.
- 1:32:23Speaker 9: Well, I want to thank everyone for joining us for
- 1:32:26Speaker 9: today's conversation. It reminds us that purpose is not always comfortable,
- 1:32:32Speaker 9: but it is always meaningful. Your why is the fuel
- 1:32:36Speaker 9: behind your assignment. It is what keeps you moving when
- 1:32:39Speaker 9: the plazas are absent. It reminds you that the work
- 1:32:43Speaker 9: matters even when the process is hard. Your words are
- 1:32:47Speaker 9: not just pages in a book.
- 1:32:49Speaker 8: They are seeds. They are tools. They are bridges.
- 1:32:52Speaker 9: They are proof that someone can survive, heal, grow, and
- 1:32:56Speaker 9: use your voice to help others do the same. If
- 1:33:00Speaker 9: you're listening today, ask yourself, what is my why? Why
- 1:33:05Speaker 9: am I here? Who am I called to serve? What
- 1:33:09Speaker 9: story am I carrying? What legacy am I building? What
- 1:33:13Speaker 9: will remain? Because I had the courage to walk in purpose.
- 1:33:19Speaker 9: Your life is not an accident. Your story is not meaningless.
- 1:33:22Speaker 9: Your pain was not wasted. Your voice is still needed.
- 1:33:26Speaker 9: And your legacy begins with the choices you make today.
- 1:33:31Speaker 9: This has been Walking in Purpose with Angela. And I
- 1:33:34Speaker 9: thank you for joining us. Y'all have a great night.
- 1:33:37Speaker 8: Be blessed. See you in four weeks.
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: Your line has been disconnected by the moderator.
- 1:33:42Speaker 14: Goodbye.
- 1:33:46Speaker 8: All right, y'all.
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: All right, all right, all right.
- 1:33:48Speaker 9: I want to thank everyone that joined me on tonight.
- 1:33:51Speaker 9: I truly, truly enjoyed it. Enjoy those that tuned in
- 1:33:55Speaker 9: here on the crew podcast and those that called in
- 1:33:59Speaker 9: to support me on the network. Know that I appreciate
- 1:34:03Speaker 9: it and I hope your night is blessed beyond what
- 1:34:05Speaker 9: you can see in the natural. I'll be back over
- 1:34:07Speaker 9: here on WBNN in four weeks, four weeks.
- 1:34:11Speaker 8: I'll be back in November. So y'all tune in.
- 1:34:15Speaker 9: And stay connected because there's a lot that's coming forth
- 1:34:19Speaker 9: through the crew podcast as well as WBNN. I love
- 1:34:23Speaker 9: y'all and I appreciate each and every one of you
- 1:34:25Speaker 9: guys for all of your support.
- 1:34:28Speaker 8: Be blessed.
