- 0:00Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 57.
- 0:04Dayna Roselli: Hey, this time we're touring the brand new attraction at Area 15 in Las Vegas.
- 0:09Dayna Roselli: Now, you may want to hit this place up on your next visit, or even if you're a local, it is really wild.
- 0:15Sean McAllister: And more resort casinos are set to open back up for business 24-7.
- 0:20Sean McAllister: Plus, shows are set to return in Vegas as well.
- 0:23Dayna Roselli: And the Scottish Brewery has big plans for a rooftop on the strip.
- 0:28Sean McAllister: Plus, more updates on our sports teams and when we might be able to watch all that action in person.
- 0:34Dayna Roselli: Oh, can't wait.
- 0:35Dayna Roselli: It's all coming up on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:45Sean McAllister: Let's go to Vegas.
- 0:49Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed.
- 0:51Dayna Roselli: We are excited to be back with more positive news.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: If you love Las Vegas, I'm Dana Roselli.
- 0:57Sean McAllister: And I'm Sean McAllister.
- 0:58Sean McAllister: I know it's starting to feel like Vegas is Vegas again, Dana.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: It really does feel that way.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: There's so many announcements coming out, and you can feel the energy of things starting to return a little bit.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: And let's hope we keep it safe, and we're looking forward to entertainment returning.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: We got a whole list from MGM Resorts International about all their shows coming back.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: You know, the ones that are going to return for now, like David Copperfield and Brad Garrett's Comedy Club, and Carrot Top and Fantasy at the Lux Store, the Australian Bee Gees Thunder from Down Under, Terry Fader's going to do a limited engagement.
- 1:33Dayna Roselli: So it's exciting news.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: And that's just the tip of the iceberg with the news that's coming from MGM Resorts, because you may have heard us talk about this in past episodes of Vegas Revealed that uh some of MGM Resorts properties, uh, namely Park MGM, Mandalay Bay, and the Mirage, were operating on limited hours during the week.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: They they were not accepting hotel reservations during the week, only on weekends.
- 2:01Sean McAllister: Well, that all changes starting on March 3rd.
- 2:05Sean McAllister: That is when they go back to operation at all of their properties 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- 2:13Sean McAllister: So it's exciting that there's that much demand and that much more interest in people being more comfortable with travel and especially travel here to Las Vegas.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: And you know, our percentages go up to 50% occupancy on March 15th, which is also perfect timing for March Madness, which is the, you know, the final four bac leading to the final four basketball, college basketball, and then the finals, which always brings so many people in, not just for one weekend, but spread out through March and the first weekend in April, too, I think.
- 2:43Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I I I mean March Madness brings through throughout the the whole NCAA tournament Las Vegas usually sees a million plus visitors come to town.
- 2:55Sean McAllister: So this is one of the biggest uh times for visitors to come here to Las Vegas.
- 3:02Sean McAllister: Of course, sports a big attraction.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: We're happy they're back and and you know, 24-7 is what we are, right?
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: That's what Vegas was built on.
- 3:11Sean McAllister: We're supposed to be.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: So we love that.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: Another show coming back is MJ Live, by the way.
- 3:17Dayna Roselli: If you visit the Stratosphere, MJ Live is a great show.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: They're gonna return on March 18th as well.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: They came back when we had that moment of we could have shows for a hot second, and then they had to close again or just you know, made the decision to close again.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: So MJ Live will be coming back to the Stratosphere as well.
- 3:34Sean McAllister: And on the sports front, Dana, this is exciting too, because we've been watching the Vegas Golden Knights, and we've all had to watch uh on our TVs, watch at home as they uh take to the ice.
- 3:46Sean McAllister: They've had a pretty good season so far.
- 3:48Sean McAllister: Um but finally it seems like we may be able to get back inside T-Mobile Arena and see our our uh you know Vegas born team play in person again.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: The Vegas Golden Knights have uh said that they are uh submitting a plan to the Southern Nevada Health District to allow for 20% occupancy uh during their games.
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: That would be great, right?
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: That's a I think that's a decent safe amount for an arena that size for folks to spread out.
- 4:22Sean McAllister: Oh my god.
- 4:22Sean McAllister: Well, uh the T-Mobile arena holds huge 17,000 plus, 17,500 uh guests inside.
- 4:31Sean McAllister: This plan would allow for 3,500 people inside, which is still a great crowd to watch a game with.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: Mm-hmm.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 4:40Sean McAllister: And it's still plenty of room.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 4:42Dayna Roselli: And I think like with some of these you know, there's the hardcore VIPs that really invest in the team, and I think they they all deserve to be there.
- 4:51Dayna Roselli: You know, they i it gives them an opportunity, you know, to maybe first come, first serve, and then and then what they have left.
- 4:57Dayna Roselli: I don't know, but it it it would be great.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: And listen, I'm hoping by fall that we can get inside Allegiant Stadium too.
- 5:03Dayna Roselli: So for the first time.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: For the first time, yeah.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: We've never even really been able to see that.
- 5:07Sean McAllister: Right, you know, so the Golden Knights, they've submitted their proposal to have fans that needs to be cleared by the Southern Nevada Health District and Nevada Health Response, which is a division of the um Department of Health.
- 5:22Sean McAllister: Regardless, we are back on track to have large-scale public gatherings happening again, and uh that's what Vegas is built on.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: You know, it was something funny, Sean.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: I was laughing after I was looking at the reopening plan.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: I noticed a little note at the bottom, and I was like, what is this in the fine print?
- 5:39Dayna Roselli: And it said, businesses that will remain closed through at least May 1st include adult entertainment, day clubs, nightclubs, brothels, and karaoke.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: Well, all the fun is out.
- 5:51Sean McAllister: Man, however, day clubs and nightclubs have found uh some loopholes in order to operate, they're kind of operating as lounges and not as nightlife venues.
- 6:03Dayna Roselli: And I think some adult entertainment has found ways around that too.
- 6:07Sean McAllister: The the loophole for adult entertainment is called pasties.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: Oh my goodness.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: Google it if you want to know more about that.
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: Um something exciting possibly coming to the strip for everyone that loves a good brewery and and loves a good rooftop, which I think we need more rooftop things in Las Vegas on the strip.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: I always say that.
- 6:31Dayna Roselli: There's not enough.
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: But um, this Scottish brewery apparently and Pub plans to open this rooftop bar on the strip, and it's not only gonna be just a bar, but apparently they're also planning this urban forest, this rooftop garden, a beer museum.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: And a pool up there, too.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: And a pool.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: What?
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: And so uh, you know, we saw this in Eater Las Vegas, and then we noticed that they linked over to one of the, I guess, owners of it, you know, Twitter, where he says, Yeah, I'm super excited.
- 7:01Dayna Roselli: You know, we were gonna open this whole space, and he was standing on the roof.
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: So it's gonna be right on top of that showcase mall, which is right around MGM, right?
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: MGM Grand.
- 7:08Sean McAllister: It's near it's between MGM and Planet Hollywood.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: In that stretch of real estate.
- 7:15Sean McAllister: Which is great, gonna be a great view.
- 7:17Sean McAllister: Oh, it'll be an incredible view.
- 7:19Sean McAllister: Yeah, absolutely.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: New York, New York, kind of right across the right across the way.
- 7:23Sean McAllister: But that's a that'll be a good section of uh the strip to have an attraction like this take place.
- 7:32Sean McAllister: Because right now uh there's a movie theater in there, um, but there's also like uh a big Marshalls, it's it's a lot of retail stuff in there right now.
- 7:43Sean McAllister: So having something like this, having a restaurant, um restaurant beer garden would be a great place.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: He seems excited about it.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: He was standing in the location in his video.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: His name's uh James Watt.
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: He's at brewdog James, if you're interested in learning more.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: Check it out.
- 8:03Dayna Roselli: And uh he's And you said this is Scottish, right?
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: Scottish, and he's speak and he's got a little Scottish accent when he's doing it as well.
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: I have I am not good at the Scottish accent, but if you want to listen to him.
- 8:13Sean McAllister: So if it's Scottish and it's on the rooftop, is there like a a chance that people down below are gonna be looking up the kilts?
- 8:19Dayna Roselli: It could be, especially if they have the you know glass floors.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: Let's make sure we don't do that.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: But it is Vegas.
- 8:28Sean McAllister: You can you can get in there and suggest the the design options as they they build that, Dana.
- 8:35Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: Hey, and I'm just scrolling through here, and something did you see that Lucky Penny is coming to Red Rock and Green Valley?
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: Remember the Lucky Penny opened at the Palms, which hasn't reopened yet?
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: And it was their cafe.
- 8:47Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 8:48Dayna Roselli: So apparently they're changing the name.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: So the grand cafe locations at Red Rock and Green Valley are gonna change names now to Lucky Penny Cafe.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: So I'm assuming a lot of their menu items and stuff will be the same, but that was good over at the Palms, and they're all open 24 hours a day.
- 9:03Dayna Roselli: Seven days a week.
- 9:04Sean McAllister: I love that.
- 9:04Sean McAllister: And those cafes are really good.
- 9:07Sean McAllister: They have menus that are like if you go to uh Cheesecake Factory, it's like a never-ending menu, and it's anything that you could possibly imagine.
- 9:16Sean McAllister: But these cafes uh really are great.
- 9:19Sean McAllister: We go to the one at uh Green Valley Ranch every now and then.
- 9:22Sean McAllister: So I mean, look, we're only uh a few minutes into this episode, and already we have like uh half a dozen things that are either reopening, brand new things that are opening, or new concepts that are coming to Las Vegas.
- 9:38Sean McAllister: So that's all really exciting.
- 9:40Sean McAllister: And in addition to all of that, there's also a new attraction that just opened up uh right off of the strip, Dana, and we uh set our eyes on it for the first time.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: We sure did, and you know, we have a place called Area 15 here.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: If you haven't been to Las Vegas in a while, you probably haven't visited Area 15 just yet, but they opened, you know, at the beginning or right kind of a little bit after the pandemic hit, and they've been slowly rolling out and opening different kinds of installations.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: It's a big retail area.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: It's got restaurants, it has roller skating now, it's got art and neon lights and installation and music, everything you didn't realize you wanted to do all in one place.
- 10:26Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is.
- 10:27Sean McAllister: It's a it's a very unique spot, and I don't know of um well, there certainly isn't any other spot in Las Vegas like it, that's for sure.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: No.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: Um, but as part of this, there is a a new installation, a new area inside of Area 15, and it's called Omega Mart.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: Now this is created by a company called Meowwolf, which has and creates these immersive experiences and it transports audiences of all ages into this whole different world, this whole story, this whole exploration fantasy.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: And they have one in Santa Fe, and now they've moved and uh opened one here in Las Vegas.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: Then they're gonna move on to Denver.
- 11:12Dayna Roselli: But we got a preview before it opened.
- 11:14Dayna Roselli: It's open now, and this Omega Mart is like this I don't want to say well, it's a fake supermarket, but it's it's like a fantasy supermarket.
- 11:25Sean McAllister: Yes, it feels like you're stepping into a supermarket.
- 11:29Sean McAllister: But this supermarket has things like whale song deodorant and it has uh nut-free salted peanuts.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:41Sean McAllister: To give you an idea of the types of things camel's soup, not camel's.
- 11:45Sean McAllister: Camel's soup.
- 11:47Sean McAllister: What is butter is what the butter package is called.
- 11:51Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 11:52Sean McAllister: So, you know, there are all these products that have, you know, social commentary linked to them, and obviously a big artistic expression as well.
- 12:03Sean McAllister: And that's what you'll find inside Omega Mart, but it's even more than that.
- 12:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because there's this whole world on the other side, too, which helps this place function.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: So it's difficult to explain.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: So we've got two interviews that we want to share because we had to ask, okay, what was the vision here?
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: And Sean and I were able to talk with Emily Montoya, and she is the Meow Wolf co-founder and also the creative director of Omega Mart.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: Sean and I are here at Omega Mart.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: We're super excited to be here.
- 12:35Dayna Roselli: It is very unique, wouldn't you say?
- 12:37Sean McAllister: Uh I would say so.
- 12:38Sean McAllister: I think it's one of the most unique Marts that I've been in.
- 12:41Sean McAllister: And Emily, you this is your brainchild, essentially, right?
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Well, I am one of many people who worked on this show.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: We had over 325 artists working on this.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Um, but I'm the creative director of Omega Mart, the grocery store, and all the products and stuff.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: So it's so unique.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: How do you explain it to people?
- 13:02Dayna Roselli: What do you say?
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Well, I tell them that Omega Mart is America's most exceptional grocery store featuring organically recommended and nationally localized products.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: They are a subsidiary of a cyber spiritual family-owned mega corporation called Dramcorp.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Dramcorp is trying to revolutionize the supply chain by opening up portals.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Within Omega Mart, you can discover many portals that will then lead you into other worlds.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: And it's so fun to look at.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: Sean was just asking you on the side.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: He was saying, Do you have dreams about this place?
- 13:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, like does does putting uh an installation like this together give you weird dreams?
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, absolutely.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: Actually, I dream about product ideas all the time.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: Like one of the one of the dreams I had was for I was just walking around and I found this box of like a freezer food, and it was frozen avocado flavored French fries called shrubs.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: And I woke up and I was like, I've got to design this.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Straight from the subconscious.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: And uh, do you have a favorite product or products?
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Well, one of my favorites is uh whale song deodorant.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Um that's near and dear to my heart.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: That also came from a dream, actually.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: And then uh also I really like um Who Told You This Was Butter?
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: It's a home freshening spray that is butter scented.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 14:26Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 14:26Sean McAllister: And for people who haven't been here to Omega Mart yet, explain the types of products that they'll find on the shelves.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: You'll find just about everything you'd see in a typical grocery store.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: We have health and beauty items, shampoos, we have supplements that are actually just breath mints, um, we have stash cans, um, we have cereals, we will have pretty much all the staples that you need for your daily life.
- 14:58Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, this truly is uh unique art, and we're gonna continue our tour.
- 15:03Dayna Roselli: Thank you, Emily, for joining us.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: We love your take on this, and congratulations.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 15:08Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Yes, thank you.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: See you in the future.
- 15:13Sean McAllister: So everything that we talked about with Emily is kind of the the front of house portion of this experience with the the Omega Mart, the grocery store itself.
- 15:24Sean McAllister: But when you go through these portals that take you back behind the scenes into like this fantasy factory land.
- 15:35Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:36Sean McAllister: And that's where we ran into Corvus Brinkerhoff, who is also one of the creative minds and co-founders of Meow Wolf, to talk about this other bizarre land.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's really cool though.
- 15:51Sean McAllister: Alright, so uh Corvus, we're standing here in um kind of a cavernous space.
- 15:58Sean McAllister: Explain this.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so we're in an area of the exhibition that's called the Projected Desert, and it's basically uh modeled after a high desert box canyon.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: So very tall rock walls, and then we're projection mapping onto those rocks, and uh using those projections to create this 20-minute looping video sequence that kind of takes people through this sort of otherworldly, out-of-body kind of journey.
- 16:22Dayna Roselli: You know, with your title being The Founder, do people say to you, dude, how did you come up with this idea?
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: They do say that.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: Also, I'm one of six founders.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm not I'm not the founder.
- 16:32Dayna Roselli: That's good to know that there's at least six minds involved in this.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there's a whole lot more than that.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: I mean, we've worked with hundreds of artists just on this show alone.
- 16:39SPEAKER_02: And the 13 years that Meowwolf has been around, we've collaborated with thousands and thousands of artists.
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, this is our whole kind of process is all about collaborating with artists and helping like amplify their sort of innate genius and brilliance, and how do we how do we support them in creating the things that that they really feel most motivated to create?
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: We know that when artists do that, that that's when they create their best work, and that's what people are gonna respond to.
- 17:09SPEAKER_02: Um so it's for anybody to ever take credit for anything we do is completely false.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: Like this is a huge group effort.
- 17:16SPEAKER_02: It's all about collaboration and giving space to each individual artist that we work with to really do what they do best.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: I mean it's fantastic.
- 17:25Sean McAllister: So, how did you land on Vegas for this installation?
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so we had done work in Vegas uh at the Life is Beautiful Festival, and we found that there was just a really rich, vibrant community of super talented people here, tons of artists.
- 17:41SPEAKER_02: Obviously, there's a huge community of performers here.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: There's so many brilliant people, and so when we were looking at what's next after Santa Fe, um, you know, Vegas came up on the list really quickly.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: For us, it's super, super important that when we go into a new community, that we connect with the local community of artists, and that this is for them, and that that that this becomes a touch point in that community and something that is that is relevant to the people that live here.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: I think about what it would feel like for someone to come into my hometown in Santa Fe, like we're gonna build this crazy art installation, it's gonna be like the coolest thing ever, and like none of you are invited to be part of it.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: Like, that's so that that's so wrong.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: So for us, it's so important to connect and really give these people that are already here an opportunity to have their work be seen by more people.
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, we're we're just super grateful to have connected with so many amazing artists here.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: You know, and we have listeners from Germany, UK, Australia, and of course, you know, we're here now and we're seeing what this is about.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: People can look at videos, they can look at pictures, but how do we explain to them exactly what it is in your words?
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: Because, you know, you're one of the people behind it, so I'd love to hear how you describe it to people.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: The best thing people say about, and this is a total cop-out, I'm sorry, but the best thing that people say about Meowwolf is like, I can't explain it, you just have to go see it for yourself.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: It's like the it even in photographs and videos, like it just doesn't convey because it's so immersive, there's so many different environments, and they're so surprising, and they use light and sound and sculpture and and paint and in such unique ways, just from room to room, that it create it combines to create this, like, this uh what I think is just this really activating experience that really helps people connect with a kind of inner childlike um sense of wonder and possibility and imagination.
- 19:35Sean McAllister: And since this is uh you know an art installation at its core, i is it something that's going to be evolving?
- 19:43Sean McAllister: Will there be new artists coming in and adding to this attraction slash installation?
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: Absolutely, yeah.
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: So one of the things that we have been doing, you know, the show in Santa Fe, House of Eternal Return, has been open for almost five years now.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: Every year we close it, we make changes, we upgrade it.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: Um we've we've evolved the narrative experience hugely with that show, and that's something that we're gonna keep doing with all of our exhibitions.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: Um we'll continue to refine and upgrade.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: This show in particular has been designed with the intention to bring more and more projects online over time.
- 20:19SPEAKER_02: So we actually have a pretty significant amount of space that's currently sort of on standby to bring in new artists and to continue to upgrade and expand the experience.
- 20:27Dayna Roselli: Listen, thank you so much and congratulations.
- 20:29SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: I really appreciate it.
- 20:31Sean McAllister: So, really, uh Omega Mart is something that you really do have to experience for yourself to really truly get a grasp of what it is.
- 20:42Sean McAllister: I don't think all the explaining in the world can really convey that.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it can't.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: And even the the pictures and videos we took, even though they look great, it's still even hard to convey it through that.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: And how they piece together.
- 20:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it doesn't do it justice.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: So we shared some video on our social channel, so make sure you check it out.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: It'll give you a little bit of a preview kind of of what you can expect.
- 21:02Dayna Roselli: But when you get there, it's even gonna be uh just a whole new world.
- 21:06Dayna Roselli: I I decided to dare the slide.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: And Sean, I know you got video of that too, and we'll put that in there.
- 21:11Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I could hear you coming down the slide all the way as you spiraled down.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I was like, I didn't, and the funny thing is is because it was on the second level, and obviously you kind of slide down to the first level, but I didn't know how long and how many times I was gonna loop.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: So it's that anticip you like you don't know where it's going, and it I don't know.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: It was fun, something different.
- 21:30Sean McAllister: Well, it shot you out at the bottom.
- 21:31Sean McAllister: It sure did.
- 21:32Sean McAllister: You were a little disoriented.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: I was.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: I was like, I don't know where I'm going, what's going on, but it's a cool place, lots of great colors and lights.
- 21:40Dayna Roselli: And listen, if you love art, you gotta go.
- 21:42Dayna Roselli: I know that we were with some folks that were just you know completely amazed at how this was all put together.
- 21:49Sean McAllister: I mean, it's a feast for the senses.
- 21:51Sean McAllister: It is.
- 21:52Sean McAllister: I think is as simple as you can put it.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's now open, by the way, and there are discounts for Nevada residents, it's a Little bit less expensive for children, and so check out all the deals they have going on.
- 22:04Dayna Roselli: But again, it is meowwolf.com, is where you can go to kind of get the lay of the land.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: And then, like we said, there's one in Santa Fe and now in Vegas.

- 23:05Dayna Roselli: Welcome back.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: It's time for Dana and Sean's tips.
- 23:08Dayna Roselli: And today we are talking baseball.
- 23:11Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, we all had it pretty bad last year, right?
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: But I feel like baseball really got the raw end of the deal because it was like all about to kick up, and then and then boom, they couldn't have baseball season.
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: And especially when we talk about baseball for Las Vegas, we have a minor league team and they had just kicked off a brand new stadium that we were all enjoying.
- 23:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, the Las Vegas Aviators, they play out at the Las Vegas ballpark, which is in downtown Summerlin, out on the west side of the Las Vegas Valley.
- 23:41Sean McAllister: It's a beautiful place.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: It is, and it was voted like number one ballpark in America, I think.
- 23:47Dayna Roselli: They won the year before.
- 23:48Dayna Roselli: Because they opened, they had the season.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 23:51Dayna Roselli: Then the second season was supposed to be, you know, during the pandemic, which couldn't happen.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: But just before that, in one year, they were voted best ballpark.
- 23:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's a beautiful place.
- 24:00Sean McAllister: But we did just get news that the Las Vegas Aviators are going to kick up their minor league season starting on uh April 8th.
- 24:09Sean McAllister: The first pitch goes out.
- 24:11Sean McAllister: That's going to be an away game.
- 24:12Sean McAllister: But the first uh the home opener is on April 15th at the Las Vegas ballpark.
- 24:19Dayna Roselli: Tax day.
- 24:20Sean McAllister: Oh, it is tax day.
- 24:21Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 24:22Dayna Roselli: Well, I don't know if that is the tax day normal this year.
- 24:24Dayna Roselli: I don't even know.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: Last year I know it was pushed, but anyway, tax day.
- 24:28Sean McAllister: It's around tax time.
- 24:29Sean McAllister: So a good reason to go to the ballpark and have a couple beers.
- 24:33Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 24:33Dayna Roselli: But listen, you and I were saying, I mean, it's a great facility, it's outdoors, it's safe, and we're excited for baseball to return because I remember how disappointed the staff was there when they found out they couldn't have games in that brand new baseball field.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: And when you we just drove by it recently on our way to Red Rock for an event, and we were like, it is such a nice stadium.
- 24:56Sean McAllister: It's gorgeous.
- 24:57Sean McAllister: In the outfield, there's a pool that overlooks the outfield.
- 25:02Sean McAllister: Like you can have full on, you can rent out the pool deck and have like a bunch of your friends out there throw a pool party and watch a baseball game.
- 25:12Sean McAllister: It's incredible.
- 25:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, it's beautiful, and and then in the variety of food they have there, and the it just you can get a whole helmet full of nachos.
- 25:22Dayna Roselli: Oh, I love nachos and helmets.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: It's so delish because it's the whole part of it.
- 25:27Sean McAllister: But it's like gourmet stadium food.
- 25:30Sean McAllister: They even have like frozen rose from Giada de Laurentiis.
- 25:34Sean McAllister: That's so good.
- 25:35Sean McAllister: And there's other like big name chefs that have contributed to the menu there.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, it's an event, and we recommend if you're a local or if you're a visitor to check it out and you know, let's welcome them back.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: We don't know about audience participation yet, right?
- 25:50Sean McAllister: We we don't know.
- 25:51Sean McAllister: We don't have any numbers uh as far as fans in the stadium.
- 25:56Sean McAllister: But since we're looking at, you know, mid-April, by that time, um, you know, the Golden Knights might be able to have people back inside T-Mobile Arena.
- 26:07Sean McAllister: So for an out for an open-air outdoor stadium, there's a much higher likelihood that they'll be able to get some fans back in those stands again.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we hope so.
- 26:20Dayna Roselli: It's a great facility, and we keep wanting to call it the 51s because they changed their name recently as well when they opened the new stadiums.
- 26:26Dayna Roselli: Did I call them that?
- 26:26Dayna Roselli: No.
- 26:27Dayna Roselli: I'm just saying we keep wanting to call them that.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: It's so hard to say the aviators, but it's the aviators.
- 26:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, I have all my aviators gear upstairs.
- 26:36Dayna Roselli: I do too.
- 26:36Dayna Roselli: I've got 51s and aviators, so if you're you, you could go retro.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 26:40Dayna Roselli: And speaking of retro, I was just thinking, you know, don't forget Donnie Osmond is coming back to the strip with a solo show at Hera's, and that kicks off on August 31st.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: But even though his show isn't opening anytime soon, you gotta get those tickets now.
- 26:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, and the same goes for another show on the strip, uh, RuPaul's Drag Race Live that features a lot of well-known drag queens that have been seen on RuPaul's Drag Race.
- 27:09Sean McAllister: That is uh apparently, we've gotten no official word, but apparently returning to the stage over at the Flamingo, because I just looked on the ticketing website for uh the flamingo and it showed that there are shows, performances, um starting up again in August.
- 27:27Sean McAllister: At least you can buy tickets.
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: Great.
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: Well, yeah, I mean, and and I think it's it's hard.
- 27:30Dayna Roselli: Some some people don't make the big, big announcement because everything is in such limbo, but they know, like, hey, it's there, and if people see it and they're coming to the hotel and they want to buy tickets, we want to give them that opportunity to do that.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: So listen, I hope they will be back.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: That's a show that kicked off and really didn't have a long time to stay put.
- 27:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, and uh the it was contracted to be in the showroom over at Flamingo through September 2021.
- 27:55Sean McAllister: So if they can pick back up in August and get back on stage, that would be great.
- 28:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, that really would be great.
- 28:02Sean McAllister: All right, that is Vegas Revealed this week.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: We hope you have a wonderful week ahead as we start to move toward March.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: We also hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day, and we'll see you next time, or we'll hear you, or you'll hear us next time.
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: How about that?
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: Let's go.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: Let's go in there.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Let's go to the cry, let's go ahead.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Let's stay away.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: Let's go with that.
