- 0:00To the giver of all, give thanks. 15 weeks ago today, we
- 0:06began a journey, and that journey is called the Pathway to
- 0:11Praise. And while our teaching on this
- 0:16subject is going to come to a close, your testimony about this
- 0:25subject is going to continue on all throughout eternity.
- 0:36If you've learned anything, I would trust that you have
- 0:39learned this one thing over the last 15 weeks.
- 0:46Number one is that praise will always bolster your condition to
- 0:56praise will always beautify your complexion, and praise will
- 1:07always brighten your situation. If you remember anything,
- 1:15remember that praise will bolster my condition.
- 1:21Why? Isaiah 61 verse #3 says that the
- 1:27Spirit of God will clothe you with the garments of God so that
- 1:31you no longer have a spirit of fainting.
- 1:35That's important. So when you are clothed with
- 1:39this garment of praise, it bolsters your condition and #2
- 1:46praise will always beautify your complexion.
- 1:52Because the Bible says in Psalm 33 verse #1 that praise is
- 2:01beautiful. Psalm 147 verse #1 says praise
- 2:07is pleasing and is beautiful. There is nothing that beautifies
- 2:15the complexion of an individual. Then praise and thirdly praise
- 2:25will always brighten every situation because the Bible says
- 2:31in Psalm 34 verse #5 that those who look to Him will be radiant.
- 2:41So when you walk into a situation, whether it be good or
- 2:46bad, praise brightens the situation.
- 2:54So if you don't remember anything at all, at least
- 2:57remember that because that will move you along the pathway to
- 3:03praise. But let me say it to you this
- 3:06way, there are 1189 chapters in the Bible Now.
- 3:16The chapters are not inspired. The words are, but the chapter
- 3:23breakdowns are not. The verses and their numbers are
- 3:28not. Those are given to us by the
- 3:31translators. The words themselves are all
- 3:35verbally inspired by God, but there are 1189 chapters in the
- 3:44Bible. So even even when the
- 3:46translators are putting together the scriptures and they begin to
- 3:49number them and to give them chapters and chapter headings,
- 3:53God in his Providence was even at work in that.
- 3:59For if there's 1189 chapters in the Bible, that means that there
- 4:03was 1 chapter that is smack dab in the middle of all the
- 4:08chapters, right? That means there's 594 on one
- 4:13end and 594 on the other end. So there's something exactly
- 4:20smack dab in the middle and it's in the middle of your Bible.
- 4:27And even even God in his Providence had everything mapped
- 4:33out to perfection because in the middle chapter of the Bible is
- 4:42the core and the center of everything.
- 4:47Even God orchestrated that. And even though that chapter is
- 4:55the smallest chapter in the Bible, consisting of 2 verses,
- 5:02he 13, I'm sorry, 17 Hebrew words in 2 verses.
- 5:08Even though it's the smallest chapter in the Bible, it is the
- 5:11most potent chapter in the Bible because it's the core of all
- 5:19that we believe and hold dear. And that is Psalm #117 So turn
- 5:29in your Bible to Psalm 117, Psalm 117.
- 5:36Listen to what it says. It says simply praise the Lord.
- 5:41All nations, laud Him, all peoples, for His loving kindness
- 5:45is great toward us and the truth of the Lord is everlasting.
- 5:50Praise the Lord. So right smack dab in the middle
- 5:56of the Bible. God says praise me.
- 6:00He gives the scope of His command.
- 6:04I want all people and all nations to praise me.
- 6:13I want everybody in creation to lift my name on high.
- 6:17I want everybody in creation to give thanks to me.
- 6:21The scope is never ending. All nations, all people in
- 6:29Romans 5, I'm sorry, Revelation 5 verse #9 tells us that there
- 6:35will be one day people from every tribe, every tongue, and
- 6:41every nation lifting praise to God and glory.
- 6:47But that doesn't mean that everybody on earth is going to
- 6:50go to glory. But the command is given, and
- 6:53the scope of that command is all people, all nations.
- 6:59And then he gives the specifics of the command.
- 7:07Number one, His loving kindness is great #2 His truthfulness is
- 7:20forever. Why do all people, all nations
- 7:25praise Him? Simply because He is a merciful,
- 7:28compassionate, loving God who only gives truth to people.
- 7:36He is the God of truth. And so the specifics of the
- 7:41command for all people everywhere are to praise him
- 7:45because he's merciful, and to praise Him simply because he is
- 7:49truthful and everything he says is absolute and that lasts
- 7:54forever. And the summation of the command
- 8:00simply is praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Hallelujah,
- 8:08praise him. Right smack dab in the middle of
- 8:12the Bible is the essence of our existence to praise the living
- 8:17God. And those of us who are
- 8:20believers can do that because the Bible says which is our
- 8:23theme verse Isaiah 4321. You can remember by saying
- 8:30IS4321 Isaiah 4321, it's our key verse.
- 8:36The people that I have formed for myself, they will declare my
- 8:38praise. And so we as believers, because
- 8:41we've been formed by God, we declare the praise of God.
- 8:43That's what we do. We praise his glorious name, but
- 8:51the unbeliever cannot more so the unbeliever will not, they
- 9:01won't listen to what the Bible says in the book of Romans verse
- 9:0821, chapter 1. For even though they knew God,
- 9:12they did not honor him as God. Even though the Pagan people
- 9:17know God, they refuse to honor him, to praise him, to glorify
- 9:23him as God, and then next phrase and give him thanks or give him
- 9:30praise. Everybody in the world knows
- 9:34that there's a God. Agnostics do not exists.
- 9:39Atheists do not exist. In their minds, they're a legend
- 9:44in their own mind. They think they do, but they do
- 9:48not because the Bible is contrary to that.
- 9:52All pagans know that there is a God, but they refuse to honor
- 9:56him as God, and they refuse to give him thanks.
- 10:02So verse 22 says they became fools.
- 10:07Pagans are fools. Unbelievers are, as the Bible
- 10:11says, morons. Why?
- 10:16Because they're foolish. They refuse to believe the truth
- 10:20and obey the truth of God. So it says in verse 28 they did
- 10:28not see fit to acknowledge God any longer.
- 10:34So unbelievers refuse to acknowledge God.
- 10:40They turn their back on God and then it says in verse #30 they
- 10:47are haters of God. How can you hate something that
- 10:50you don't think exists? How can you hate something that
- 10:53you believe is not anywhere around but they're haters of God
- 11:00and then it says there are unloving and merciful.
- 11:04Verse 32 and although they know the ordinances of God stop right
- 11:09there. Even though the unbeliever, the
- 11:13Pagan man, knows the ordinances of God, the commands of God, the
- 11:22the precepts of God, even though they know that.
- 11:26And what do they know? They know that all nations are
- 11:30to praise Him and that all nations are to laud Him, to
- 11:34glorify His name because of His mercy and because of His loving
- 11:38kindness, because of His truthfulness.
- 11:40They know that. Don't think that the unbeliever
- 11:43doesn't know that. They do know that.
- 11:45How do we know verse 18 of chapter 1?
- 11:49The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
- 11:52ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in
- 11:58unrighteousness. So now we know that the
- 12:01unbeliever knows the truth. They just push it down.
- 12:05They suppress the truth. They don't want to honor God.
- 12:10They don't want to give thanks to God.
- 12:12So God turns them over to their foolishness, and when he does
- 12:18that, they refuse to acknowledge him as God any longer, and they
- 12:21hate God. They hate him because they know
- 12:26the ordinances of God. And this is this, that those who
- 12:33practice such things are worthy of death.
- 12:39Every unbeliever. Now note this, every Pagan,
- 12:43every unbeliever knows the ordinances of God, the commands
- 12:49of God, because the Bible says back in Romans one, verse 19,
- 12:57that which is known about God is evident within them, for God
- 13:01made it evident to them, verse 20 for a sense of creation of
- 13:07the world, His invisible attributes and his eternal power
- 13:11and divine nature have been clearly seen, not vaguely seen,
- 13:18but clearly seen. And so they know the ordinances
- 13:24of God, which says the wages of sin is death.
- 13:30How do they know that? Because God has written His law
- 13:34upon their hearts, and what they see is clearly evident to them.
- 13:41But they hate God. They love their sin, but they
- 13:45hate God. And they will not praise Him.
- 13:49They will not give Him thanks. They will not honor His name.
- 13:53And they know that even though they will not do that, they will
- 13:56not obey the command. They know that because they will
- 13:59not do that, they're going to die.
- 14:02They're worthy of death. And it goes on and says that
- 14:06they and they give hearty approval.
- 14:09And they said that not only do they do the same, but also give
- 14:12hearty approval to those who practice the same.
- 14:18Wow, unbelievable. Simply because God in the middle
- 14:23of the book gives us the core value of our existence, that we
- 14:29are to praise our God, laud Him loudly, because he's a merciful,
- 14:38kind and loving God who speaks nothing but truth.
- 14:45But the unbeliever hates that, so he will not praise God.
- 14:52But we can, so we do. We continue to praise Him, not
- 14:58just for the moment of our conversion, but all throughout
- 15:01eternity, because we've been cloaked in a robe, a garment of
- 15:09praise, and we've been formed by God to declare his praise.
- 15:17And that's what we do. So that brings us to our
- 15:20conclusion. And the conclusion is the prayer
- 15:27of praise, having looked at the priority of praise and the
- 15:31prerequisite of praise and the prayer and the, excuse me, the
- 15:35perpetuity of praise and, and everything surrounding that, the
- 15:38priority and purpose of praise. We've done all of that through
- 15:41the last 15 weeks. We come to the end and we
- 15:46conclude with the prayer of praise.
- 15:51And the prayer of praise teaches us how when we pray to praise
- 15:59the Lord, because every prayer should consist of the components
- 16:05which we will share with you today in the conclusion of every
- 16:12prayer you pray. So if you got your Bible, turn
- 16:18to me. Turn with me to the most
- 16:20familiar prayer in the Bible, Matthew chapter 6.
- 16:26Matthew chapter 6. It's commonly called the Lord's
- 16:30Prayer, but that's the wrong name.
- 16:35It is not the Lord's Prayer, it is the disciples prayer.
- 16:40In John 17 you have the Lord's Prayer, but in Matthew 6 and
- 16:46Luke 11 you have the disciples Prayer for the disciples said in
- 16:51Luke 11. Lord teach us how to pray and He
- 16:55would give him what He says on the Sermon on the Mount in
- 16:58Matthew chapter 6 about the disciples prayer.
- 17:05This is how you are to pray, and I want you to notice something
- 17:09about the prayer. It consists of two major
- 17:12components. 1 is God and His glory, and the second is man and
- 17:16his need. And you cannot reverse the two.
- 17:20For if you reverse the two, you diminish God's glory in your
- 17:24mind and you accentuate your glory on your behalf.
- 17:29So you cannot reverse them. It's all about God's glory, and
- 17:35then it's about man's needs. And you know the prayer, it
- 17:42simply states it this way. Pray then this way.
- 17:49How well you pray. Our Father who is in heaven.
- 17:57Those who pray listen carefully, are captivated by His paternity,
- 18:04that He is their Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
- 18:11Those who pray properly are not just captivated by His
- 18:14paternity, they are consumed with His purity, that His name
- 18:20be made holy in their lives. And then He says your Kingdom
- 18:28come. Those who pray properly are
- 18:33concerned with God's program, not their program.
- 18:40And then he says your will be done on earth as it is in
- 18:47heaven. In other words, they are
- 18:50committed to God's plan. That's how you know you pray
- 18:57about God and His glory, you are captivated by His fraternity,
- 19:03you are consumed with His purity, you are concerned with
- 19:07His program, His Kingdom, and you are committed to His plan.
- 19:17Once you understand that, then you tackle man and His needs.
- 19:26Give us, forgive us, and deliver us.
- 19:34And those who pray that way, pray.
- 19:38Give us this day Our Daily Bread.
- 19:41You always rejoiced in his provision.
- 19:46And then you pray and forgive us our debts as we have forgiven
- 19:50our debtors. You recognize his pardon.
- 19:55And then it says, And do not lead us into temptation, but
- 19:59deliver us from evil. You rest in his protection.
- 20:08And then it says, For yours is the Kingdom, and the power, and
- 20:14the glory forever. Amen.
- 20:17You rejoice with all praise. The the doxology is what I want
- 20:30to talk to you about this morning.
- 20:33For yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
- 20:42Amen. A doxology is simply a praise
- 20:50that's offered to God. It's simply the prayer of
- 20:55praise. And the prayer of praise will
- 20:59consist of five major components.
- 21:07Now you'll notice that in your Bible, that last phrase, the
- 21:11doxology, is in brackets. And the reason that is, is
- 21:18because there are some manuscripts, excuse me, they do
- 21:21not include it, and others that do.
- 21:27So the question comes, why is it in brackets?
- 21:32Did the Lord really say it? Because in Luke 11 it's not
- 21:37recorded, but in Matthew 6 that is recorded.
- 21:42So did the Lord really say these words?
- 21:49Well, I believe He did, and I believe it based on 2 major
- 21:54issues. 1 is that no Jew would ever conclude a prayer on the
- 22:00negative, always on the positive.
- 22:05That's number one. All you got to do is research
- 22:09Jewish prayers and talk to Jewish people.
- 22:15But #2 everything that's stated is absolutely true.
- 22:23In fact, it sounds a lot like David's prayer in First
- 22:28Chronicles 29 when it says in verse #9 Then the people rejoice
- 22:34because they had offered so willingly, for they made their
- 22:38offering to the Lord with a whole heart.
- 22:41I love that because I wonder if when you gave today, you gave
- 22:46willingly and fully. They were collecting for the
- 22:54temple and they were going to build this structure.
- 23:00Solomon was for the glory of God, so they gave willingly.
- 23:04They gave fully with all of their hearts.
- 23:07They did it joyfully because they wanted to honor their God.
- 23:12I read that and I wonder how many of us today, when we gave
- 23:15to the Lord, we did it willingly, we did it joyfully,
- 23:18we did it energetically, we did it fully because we wanted to
- 23:22honor God with the first fruits of our increase.
- 23:26That's what they did. Listen to David's prayer.
- 23:31So David, bless the Lord in the sight of all the assembly.
- 23:34And David said, blessed are you, O Lord God of Israel, our Father
- 23:38forever and ever, our Father who art in heaven.
- 23:44Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and
- 23:47the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the
- 23:51heaven and the earth. Yours is the dominion, for yours
- 24:00is the Kingdom. Yours is the dominion, Yours is
- 24:06the glory, forever and ever. Verse 13.
- 24:13Now, therefore our God, we thank you and praise your glorious
- 24:17name. That's just one example.
- 24:20Let me give you one more Book of Revelation, 5th chapter, 13th
- 24:26verse. To him who sits on the throne
- 24:27into the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and dominion
- 24:32forever and ever, Same thing. And the four living creatures
- 24:37kept saying Amen and the elders fell down and worshipped.
- 24:44Those are just two examples, one of the old and one of the new
- 24:48that that really point to the fact that as you pray the prayer
- 24:55praise a doxology, you pray specifically for yours is the
- 25:03Kingdom, yours is the power, yours is the glory forever.
- 25:14Amen. So what are the five components
- 25:19of the prayer of praise #1? The prayer of praise consists of
- 25:28this, that you always affirm His preeminence with the phrase.
- 25:36For yours is the Kingdom. The word is Vasilia, which means
- 25:42to rule. It means terrain.
- 25:48It means that yours is the dominion.
- 25:52Same thing said in Revelation 5 and First Chronicles 29.
- 25:57For yours is the rulership, for yours is the Kingdom.
- 26:04Lord, I want to affirm the fact that you are preeminent.
- 26:07You are the king of all, and you're the only one who can give
- 26:13us a Kingdom. In fact, the Kingdom of God is a
- 26:19is a endless, changeless, priceless Kingdom.
- 26:26And so when you pray the prayer praise, you are affirming the
- 26:30fact that God himself, because he's the king, is preeminent
- 26:35over all. That's why Christ is in Matthew
- 26:38633. Seek ye first my Kingdom and my
- 26:44glory, and all these things should be added unto you.
- 26:49See, our problem is we have another Kingdom, ours.
- 26:52We're building our own Kingdom. We think we're the ruler, we're
- 26:57in charge, but he is the king. And yes, there is a universal
- 27:04Kingdom where God is the king over heaven and earth.
- 27:09There's a spiritual Kingdom where he sets up his throne in
- 27:12your heart and mind. And one day there will be a
- 27:15literal Kingdom. Zechariah 612 and 13 will where
- 27:20the branch, the son of David will rule and reign as priest
- 27:24and king from Mount Zion. But you affirm his preeminence,
- 27:35for yours is the Kingdom. The Bible says that Psalm 2910
- 27:45the Lord sits as king forever. The Bible says in First Timothy
- 27:51117 that he is the King eternal. The Bible says in Revelation One
- 28:00that he is the ruler of the kings of the earth.
- 28:06In Daniel 4 he is the king, the king of heaven.
- 28:12In Matthew 2 he's the king of the Jews.
- 28:16In John One he's the king of Israel.
- 28:19In First Timothy One, he's the King of the ages.
- 28:24In Psalm 24, he's the king of glory.
- 28:28Revelation 15, he is the king of nations.
- 28:35In Revelation 19, he is king of all kings and Lord of all Lords.
- 28:43The prayer of praise affirms his preeminence.
- 28:47You're the king, and yours is the Kingdom, and I'm going to
- 28:52seek your Kingdom of my Kingdom. I'm going to submit to you as my
- 28:56king because you're in charge. That's the prayer of praise.
- 29:03It affirms his preeminence. He is king of all, and that
- 29:12Kingdom is priceless. That's why Matthew 13 gives us
- 29:16the parable about the treasure and the parable of the great
- 29:19Pearl. For the man who finds the
- 29:22Kingdom is willing to give up everything to obtain the Kingdom
- 29:27because of the value of the Kingdom.
- 29:29It's priceless. So the prayer praise consists
- 29:33number one of the fact that it affirms His preeminence #2 it
- 29:39consists of the fact that you always acknowledge God's power
- 29:45for years is the Kingdom and the power power.
- 29:53How do you acknowledge His power?
- 30:00This is how Paul did in the book of Colossians.
- 30:03The first chapter we said this. We proclaim him, verse 28,
- 30:10admonishing every man, teaching every man with all wisdom, so
- 30:13that we may present every man completing Christ.
- 30:17For this purpose also I labor striving according to his power,
- 30:24which mightily works in me. Paul acknowledged God's power.
- 30:33Paul acknowledged the fact that the reason I teach and the
- 30:36reason I admonish every man, that I might present every man
- 30:40completing Christ because of the power of God within me to allow
- 30:45me to accomplish that purpose. So I acknowledge His power.
- 30:51I love what the book of Nahum says when it says the Lord is
- 30:56great in power. 56 times in the Old Testament is called
- 31:03almighty. 10 times in the New Testament is called Almighty,
- 31:07nine of those 10 times in the Book of Revelation.
- 31:09He is the Pantocrator, the almighty one who rules over all
- 31:14the nations and is powerful enough to do whatever he wants.
- 31:19The Old Testament calls him El Shaddai calls him El Gabor, El
- 31:24Shaddai God Almighty, El Gabor, the mighty God.
- 31:29What's the difference between El Shaddai and El Gabor?
- 31:32Glad you asked El Shaddai from a Hebrew word which means breast
- 31:39because God is the sufficient nurturer of his people, so He is
- 31:46great in power because of His provision.
- 31:50El Gabor comes from a word that stems from the fact that he is a
- 31:57hero, a warrior, a soldier. Therefore he is powerful enough
- 32:07to protect you. El Shaddai.
- 32:11He's powerful enough to provide for all that you have.
- 32:14El Gabor, he is powerful enough to protect you from whatever
- 32:17comes your way. So when you give the prayer of
- 32:20praise, you say for yours is the Kingdom, I'm going to affirm
- 32:24your preeminence, and yours is the power.
- 32:28I'm going to acknowledge that you had the power to accomplish
- 32:31anything and everything. And then #3 yours is the power
- 32:36and the glory. I'm going to accentuate your
- 32:40person. That's the prayer of praise, for
- 32:45yours is the power, the Kingdom, and the glory.
- 32:55Glory speaks of who He is. In the Old Testament, the root
- 33:03for glory is, is the word heavy. So a person was heavy because of
- 33:11the amount of possessions that he had.
- 33:13That was His glory. And the heavier, heavier He was
- 33:17in possessions, the greater glory he received.
- 33:24Or he was heavy in terms of his position.
- 33:30He climbed the ladder of success.
- 33:32And the more powerful power he had because of his position, the
- 33:36more glory that individual had. So therefore a man was glorious
- 33:46by the number of possessions that he had, the amount of power
- 33:52that he possessed because of the position he was in.
- 34:00They were weighed down, they were heavy in those things.
- 34:03That was a man's glory. There's nobody more heavier than
- 34:07the Lord Jesus because He owns everything.
- 34:11He receives all the glory, all the praise.
- 34:17It speaks of of the manifestation of His brightness
- 34:22because the glory of the Lord would shine all around when the
- 34:27Christ child was born and John would say in John one verse #14
- 34:33He would say, and we beheld His glory.
- 34:37The glory is that the only begotten of the Father, full of
- 34:40grace and full of truth, we beheld His person, His presence,
- 34:47His manifestation in the flesh. We beheld the heaviness of our
- 34:53God by looking in the face of Jesus Christ our Lord.
- 35:01And those who pray the prayer praise.
- 35:04They not only affirm God's preeminence because He's the
- 35:10King of His Kingdom, and not only do they acknowledge His
- 35:15power because His is the power, but they accentuate His person
- 35:24for His is the glory. In other words, they they
- 35:29accentuate the fact that God is to be seen in and through me.
- 35:33I am not to be seen by anybody because I don't matter, only God
- 35:39does. That's the prayer of praise.
- 35:42The prayer of praise says Lord, I want the righteous radiance of
- 35:47my Redeemer to be reflected in and through his redeemed.
- 35:52That's what it means to give glory to God and accentuate his
- 35:56glory. And so that's what we do.
- 35:59That's the prayer of praise. And whenever we go to the Lord
- 36:04in prayer, it's all about God and his glory.
- 36:07Then it's about man and his needs.
- 36:09And we have this great crescendo, this great doxology
- 36:13that leads us to say, For yours is the Kingdom.
- 36:16I affirm that you are preeminent, and yours is the
- 36:20power. I acknowledge that you are the
- 36:22powerful one and yours is the glory, and I receive none.
- 36:30Therefore, I accentuate your person and then forever.
- 36:40Yours is the Kingdom and the power of the glory forever.
- 36:47In my prayer of praise, I acclaim His permanence.
- 36:55He is the eternal God forever and ever, which guarantees his
- 37:04reliability and gives me security.
- 37:12It guarantees his reliability because he's forever.
- 37:15He's the eternal God. No one created him.
- 37:19He's always existed. Try to wrap your mind about the
- 37:24fact that God has always been. He's always been.
- 37:31He always is and was and will be.
- 37:36He's the alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, but
- 37:39yet God had no beginning. He's the eternal God that's
- 37:43always existed and what he does last forever.
- 37:49And so I guarantees the fact that I can rely upon my God.
- 37:53He is absolutely reliable because he's always there.
- 37:57He's never not there and that gives me security knowing that
- 38:04my God is my protector because He's the all powerful one.
- 38:08So the reason, the reason that I pray this way and the reason
- 38:18that I claim His permanence is because I've accentuated his
- 38:28person and I've only accentuated his person because I've
- 38:33acknowledged his power and I've affirmed his preeminence over my
- 38:39life. That's the prayer of praise.
- 38:46And then it concludes with Amen. Amen.
- 38:54It concludes with accepting. Accepting His Providence, so be
- 39:06it, so be it, Lord, I, I, I affirm that you the eternal God.
- 39:11In fact, the Bible says in Revelation 3 that He is the
- 39:14Amen. In other words, Christ is the
- 39:16final and fullest of all that God is and was and will be, and
- 39:20therefore He is the finality of everything.
- 39:29So I say, so be it. Amen.
- 39:33I, I, I agree. I accept your providential
- 39:40control over everything in my life and your plan for me.
- 39:47I accept that you're my Father in heaven.
- 39:51I accept your paternity. I accept that your name is to be
- 39:56made holy in my life. I accept your purity.
- 40:02I pray thy Kingdom come, I accept your program, I pray thy
- 40:12will be done. I accept your Providence and I
- 40:19pray. Give us this day Our Daily
- 40:21Bread, because I accept your provision and I say and forgive
- 40:28us our debts as we forgive those who have sinned against us.
- 40:33I accept your pardon and I pray and leave me not a temptation,
- 40:41but deliver me from evil. I accept your protection.
- 40:47I accept it all because you are King, You are Lord, and I want
- 40:55to pray the prayer of praise and all God's people said let me
- 41:04pray with you. Father, thank you for today.
- 41:10Thank you for your words. So much to cover in such a
- 41:13little time, but you are a great God.
- 41:18Thank you for allowing us to be here today all by divine
- 41:21appointment. I love, I love the fact that
- 41:24nobody comes to church by accident.
- 41:30They come by divine appointment. Whether they were dragged here
- 41:34by their parents, where they were pushed here by a friend,
- 41:40where they were invited to come. They just drove by and saw the
- 41:45sign, looked us up on the Internet and saw the name of the
- 41:49church there. All of that within the realm of
- 41:54your Providence. Was it divinely appointed time
- 42:01for us to hear how we are to pray the prayer of praise?
- 42:11Our discussion on the issue could go so much longer.
- 42:17There's so much to say about praise, Thanksgiving, and
- 42:23rejoicing. But Lord, you gave us these 15
- 42:28weeks to look at what the Bible says concerning the pathway to
- 42:35praise. We come through these months
- 42:42better people. We come through these months
- 42:47recognizing the beauty of praise.
- 42:53We come through this knowing that our condition is only
- 42:58bolstered by praise, our complexion is only beautified by
- 43:03praise. And our situation, no matter
- 43:10what it is, we'll only be brightened by praise.
- 43:16So we praise you and we thank you that we can be here today to
- 43:25lift your name on high and to glorify you as King of kings and
- 43:31Lord of Lords in all God's people said.
