- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Hey, welcome to Trap Souls.
- 0:01SPEAKER_02: I'm here with the Ghost Investigators out of Pennsylvania.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: I have Keith and Steve here today.
- 0:06SPEAKER_02: So, how are you guys doing?
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: Great.
- 0:09SPEAKER_03: Great, Ryan.
- 0:10SPEAKER_03: Thanks.
- 0:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, doing great, man.
- 0:11SPEAKER_03: You?
- 0:12SPEAKER_02: I'm doing good, doing good.
- 0:13SPEAKER_02: Getting a little over a little sickness here.
- 0:15SPEAKER_02: So a little hoarse today, but you know, that's Ohio weather for you.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: We talked a little bit before, not much.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: I don't like to talk too much before because I want to ask the questions as I go on.
- 0:27SPEAKER_02: Um, you asked me how long I've been doing this, so I'll go to you.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: How long have you been doing this?
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Go for it.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Uh so as a as a team, um, we only started investigating um together, I think, about 18 months ago.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Um, but you know, we both were doing it separately for probably a a decade or more.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, so combined 20 years easily.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: So is it just you two on your team then?
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: We have our uh third guy who is right behind the camera.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: His name's Brian, and he is uh our camera and the editor, but he is slowly becoming more a part of this team, and eventually he'll be the third one right here.
- 1:12SPEAKER_03: Great, great guy, and he does wonders for us, yeah.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I see that you guys do some YouTube also.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: Obviously, you can follow them.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: They're uh YouTube is official ghost investigator GIs.
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: So give them a follow on YouTube also, also follow them on Facebook.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: Whoever's watching this right now.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: Um, so what got you into the paranormal?
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Uh for me, this is um I never thought about the paranormal a day in my life, and um this is the funniest story ever to me.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Uh, my wife was um we I've just given birth to our second daughter who's uh 15 now.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: And um I was I did 20 years in the military, so I was gone a lot.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: So when I was home, I thought, man, like how can I be the most helpful?
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: So even when she would wake up in the middle of the night to nurse, I would like wake up just to scratch her back, just to feel like I was a part of it.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: And the only thing that's on at two o'clock in the morning at that time was ghost adventures.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: And uh so I started watching that from season one, and then I just watched it all the way through, and I started, you know, uh over the seasons, I was like, man, I think I'm like actually into this.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Um, and then I got to go ghost hunting one time, and the first time I went, um, the guy told me just to bring a digital recorder, which I went and bought at Walmart myself.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: And uh, we went into the basement of this house and we asked a couple questions, and when we played it back, there was a third voice, and I was instantly hooked.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Like, holy cow, this stuff is actually real.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: And so from there, yep, yep.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: Uh, and and for me, I I've always had an interest in the unknown, uh, just mysteries, whether it be cryptozoology, UFOs, or paranormal.
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: Uh, and I've I had three major experiences personally in my life.
- 3:08SPEAKER_03: Um, and the third one was so powering.
- 3:11SPEAKER_03: My wife and daughter did not witness my experience, but they witnessed my reaction, uh, and they were both extremely concerned.
- 3:19SPEAKER_03: And it was about a day or two later I asked my wife, I said, Honey, do you mind if I explore the paranormal?
- 3:25SPEAKER_03: And she said, after that experience, go for it.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: And I've never looked a day back.
- 3:30SPEAKER_03: I just think there's so much out there that we don't know, and you know, it's it's our desire to try to provide the most um compelling evidence.
- 3:42SPEAKER_03: We're both extremely skeptical, uh, but you know, we push it out there a way where we're already thinking, okay, what are the arguments against our evidence going to be?
- 3:53SPEAKER_03: And we're already loaded up and ready to go.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, you have to be skeptical in this field.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: One of the things that we talk about almost every investigation is that even after doing this for this long, and now, you know, to the point where we're filming it and trying to put it out there and trying to, you know, be the honest team that really debunks half of our stuff.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: I still will talk to him and be like, I don't know that I'm a hundred percent convinced that ghosts are real, even though I've seen some pretty crazy things that I can't explain and I've heard crazy things, but then I also am saying, you know, like I'm not sure that it's you know dead people.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: I don't know what it is.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Um, because you know, like we uh recently we've just been getting like a ton of negative responses.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: You know, if it's people everywhere, I don't know why they all want me to die.
- 4:43SPEAKER_03: But I think, Ryan, something else uh very special we do is because we're such healthy skeptics.
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: If any of your viewers want to tune in to look at our uh Reynolds Mansion episode on YouTube, uh, we believe we caught definitive proof of the stone tape theory uh by a figure that we captured on video uh in a particularly significant bedroom in the house.
- 5:10SPEAKER_03: Uh, but besides that, as far as equipment, we we try to go back old school as much as possible and not avoid or try to not stick with all the gimmicky new stuff that's out there.
- 5:22SPEAKER_03: Uh, and on our uh Great Mishmosh episode in the antique store, we we definitively proved that REM pods can be set off with cell phones and walkie-talkies.
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so that I know that's a theory that um a lot of very skeptical paranormal investigators, you know, they they just jump right on it, but then the the true skeptics will say, wait, that could have been interference from another device, and we proved it with two devices.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I also just tell myself I'm not an electrical engineer and I don't actually know how these work, so I can't just see something light up and be like that must be paranormal.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:03SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, like the REM pod, they pretty much prove that walkie-talkie will set that off.
- 6:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:10SPEAKER_02: Then you go into like TV shows with people showing evidence.
- 6:15SPEAKER_02: You know, people are all about the clicks, right?
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: That's what a lot of people want.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: They want the clicks.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: So it's hard to believe somebody that's getting all these REM pod activities exactly non-stop.
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, I have a I have a REM pod, it's gone off like three times in a year and a half.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: Yes, we have uh we use REM pods, but we only use REM pods in conjunction with another tool just to try to validate it.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: And I think the REM pod that I use, I brought it out every investigation for 18 months, and I think the first time it went off was two or three investigations ago in a movie theater, and I was almost shocked, like, is that is that thing going off?
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Um but uh it actually just went off at Pinhurst in a way that um I I can't I can't debunk.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: I don't know what it was.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: It was yeah, it started off really, really slow, and uh, but it was only the heat, you know, like the little red light for the heat.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: So it was only the heat one, but it would just like beep, beep, beep, beep, and then it started making this noise that I don't think any of us have ever heard.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and uh even when I started putting my hand like over where over the the antenna, none of the other lights would go on, it was just freaking out.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: I I can't explain that one, yeah.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: So stone tape theory.
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm a little iffy about that still.
- 7:32SPEAKER_02: Um I wasn't yeah, so all right, check this out, man.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: So we I was pretty iffy about it too, you know.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: That oh man, you know, that uh stones can hold energy and replay it on the loop.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: However, we put a static camera in this bedroom, and this is what's supposed to be one of the most haunted bedrooms, and um multiple times on the static camera while we were not even on that floor, you would think that we were replaying the same thing over and over again because this missed figure would manifest in the exact same way, in the exact same shape, in the exact same location, and it would take the exact same amount of steps forward and then it would just disappear.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: And I I kind of had to rethink what I thought on the stone tape theory.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: And if just for uh context, if you guys go do watch the Reynolds Mansion, that was the first time we had ever tried to film and edit something, and I have no idea how to edit it, or I had no idea how to edit it at the time, so uh just know what you're getting into, you know.
- 8:30SPEAKER_03: It's it's still a good episode, and Steve Steve did great with it, and uh um, yeah, I'm and and I think for your viewers, uh Steve and I we don't fake, embellish, sugarcoat anything.
- 8:45SPEAKER_03: Uh and you see some of our episodes, you'll see on there where we uh actually say, Well, we thought we captured something paranormal, but guess what?
- 8:53SPEAKER_03: It wasn't.
- 8:54SPEAKER_03: Um, and even even those that we have a little bit of a question about, we will say, Hey, what do you guys think?
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: You know, we're not out there just to fail.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: I'm not trying to make you believe in the paranormal.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: I'm just showing you what I'm capturing, and you can make your own assumptions.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: And we can we can throw our opinions in based upon our years of experience in this.
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: Uh, but again, you know, when it comes down to it, Ryan, there's no paranormal expert.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: For sure.
- 9:24SPEAKER_03: There are paranormal uh or more experienced paranormal researchers.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: Uh, but uh my catchphrase, anybody interested in this, and they talk to me, I say if it's somebody investigating a paranormal and they claim they, you know, this is the way you do it, turn around and walk away because there's no written textbook, this is how you do it.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 9:47SPEAKER_03: And you know, I know one of our videos we got some critiques on how we did the estes method, and I'm like, okay, well, who who says the estes method as everybody knows it is the you know, why not change it up?
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: Think outside of the box.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I my theory on this was the Estes method, which is uh, you know, everyone knows what it is, but so we separated on separate floors and then we used the walkie-talkies, but we didn't just use the walkie-talkies to relay the answers, we also threw the questions out there on the walkie-talkie.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: So I was just thinking, well, man, maybe if we just fill the entire space with these sound waves, then you know, maybe that will give them more energy.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: I had on noise canceling headphones, so I couldn't, I still couldn't hear what he was asking.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, we got some we got some hate on that, and all we were doing is just trying something new, you know?
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we did that at the one house that we had one guy in the bedroom on the second floor, one guy in the attic, and I was in the basement.
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: I had Manny from Ghost Sisters on, and her sisters were in the living room, and we used StreamYard, so we all had our phones on us, and three of us were doing Estee's method, and they were asking the questions, we couldn't hear them, so we were all on video, and they were asking the questions to us.
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: I mean, so how did the SD's method come about?
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: Someone had a spirit box, and they decided let's push the envelope a little bit, let's try something new.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: Totally, yeah.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: Uh you guys are doing the same thing.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we know we did something for the first time.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: I'd never seen it done.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: I'm sure that it's been done.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Uh, but we were in the um the Mishmash antique shop, and I don't know what made us try this, but all we did is we just took a cell phone, we called each other, we put it on speaker phone, and I went and I set it on the second floor, and then we went outside with the other phone and we were asking questions, and we were getting legit audible answers back on our end.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: And that was that was insane.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not not maybe answers like can we come back in there?
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: No, yeah, extremely intelligent, and you know that that's what we go for.
- 11:53SPEAKER_03: Stone tape um it is cool.
- 11:55SPEAKER_03: Uh you know, with us being recently at Pennhurst, um, again, uh I personally believe the majority of the activity at Pennhurst is residual.
- 12:10SPEAKER_03: Uh, because I set up uh two investigations of Go uh several years ago.
- 12:18SPEAKER_03: I set up EVRs cameras.
- 12:21SPEAKER_03: Uh Devin Hall was the most popular one for what I captured.
- 12:26SPEAKER_03: And literally, Ryan, I mean, I picked up like it sounded like people chained to like metal heat registers, like chains banging, doors slamming.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: I had my video camera right there, and it picked up nothing, you know.
- 12:40SPEAKER_03: So that's the stuff that really intrigues me.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: It's like, where did this come from?
- 12:44SPEAKER_03: That nobody else was in the building.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: Uh, the maintenance man was on the ground, so that was it.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: That was the first time, though, for me at Pennhurst that um and Devin building this last time that we were there.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: Um, I just felt really sad in the basement and I didn't feel like doing anything.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: I I literally just wanted to sit on the floor and just not cry or anything, just be there.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: And it would that was such a strange feeling.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: And I said it, I said it out loud to the to them just so that they would kind of like know.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Um, because I wasn't being my normal self, and I was like, hey guys, I just I'm not really talking, and I'm not really sure why, but I'm not sad, I just kind of want to be.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: And and that was really weird, but it it that feeling left as soon as we went got out of the basement, not even out of the building, just out of the basement.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's it's amazing how some places just affect you differently that you never felt before.
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: Yep, you know, it's like you never felt like that before, but you go in this place and just certain spirits affect you.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: You know, I had my daughter in one place and she came up.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: You know, we went outside and she was crying all over.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: I'm like, what's going on?
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: And she was in the basement and she just felt like sadness because there are supposedly kids down there.
- 13:59SPEAKER_02: I try to explain her that the kids are just trying to make her feel like what they felt.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: You know, they're just showing her.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: I personally believe that uh, because anytime that I've ever seen a female on an investigation, I don't know, they seem to get way more than the males do.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: It's it's like they're you know, they're they're more open, they're empaths.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Um, I think we're you know, we're a little bit more hard charging sometimes, and uh yeah, it's I I like having girls on investigations because they get some wild stuff.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: So in the 10 years each you guys have done this, you know, you're talking about you know, doing feelings, has it have you open your yourself up a little more to accept those feelings?
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: I would say for me, I try not to because I'm not a hundred percent sure what's actually trying to come through, and I'm not willing to open myself up because, like I was saying, you know, a little bit ago, I'm not convinced yet that these are spirits of dead people.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: And uh, you know, if you go on the religious side of things and these are demons, you know, that's one of the theories.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: Well, I sure don't want to be inviting them to control my emotions.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: Um, so yeah, I would say no.
- 15:11SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, a lot of people get that.
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: They start feeling a little more, a little more sensitive, I guess you want to call it some more empath, you know, feelings the more and more they do this.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: I will say that him and I we talk about this all the time is that how frequently we've been doing this as of lately, that we're able to walk into a building and almost immediately tell if it's haunted or if we're gonna have a good night, it's like the it's immediately you feel the energy, you you feel the static.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: Um, and you know it that's that's kind of cool.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: It's like a little psychic power, you know.
- 15:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:42SPEAKER_03: I I believe the longer you do this, if you go in, you know, clear and level-headed and professional, um, with respect as well, uh, and try to learn from your experiences, he just he just nailed it because I tell anybody that asked me, I said, you know, we we are kind of becoming uh I don't want to say paranormal magnets, but we are able to sense, and it's so funny because we'll we'll walk into a place and we just don't even have to say anything.
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: We look at each other and give this look, and then we know either this place has like no energy, or it's like, okay, this is gonna be an interesting night.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: Yep, right.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: That's amazing that feeling.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: I always tell people that when they say I got nothing, I'm like, you wouldn't even walk in that room, man.
- 16:31SPEAKER_02: You were scared.
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm like, you got you got experience there, you got something.
- 16:36SPEAKER_03: Yes, exactly.
- 16:38SPEAKER_02: So, what I started doing on my investigations was before we go in a place, we don't do tours, especially the pay-to-play places.
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: We don't do tours.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: I don't want to be influenced, I don't want my team to be influenced.
- 16:49SPEAKER_04: Totally.
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: I will send one person in there with my with my phone, Facebook Live it, because it gives the people the opportunity to actually see the place.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: And I'll send them in solo.
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: Now that they're not investigating, they're just walking the place to get a feeling.
- 17:05SPEAKER_02: I said, just take a mental note, you know, second floor, third door on the right.
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: It fell off.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Okay, we'll go investigate there.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: You know, so that's what I've been doing lately, is just trying to send people on there and get that feeling, you know.
- 17:22SPEAKER_02: And you'll see it on Facebook Live.
- 17:24SPEAKER_02: Like my brother was like, oh no.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: I ain't going down there.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: I'm like, yeah, you are, dude.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: Get your butt down there.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: So it's cool.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: Um so stone tape theory, residual, what's the big difference?
- 17:44SPEAKER_03: You want to answer that one?
- 17:45SPEAKER_03: Well, in in my opinion, they pretty much are the same.
- 17:54SPEAKER_03: Uh if you know about the stone tape theory, areas that have high uh geologic quartz, uh limestone, underground rivers, and and uh uh aquifers, uh the theory is that these well, quartz, it's not a theory, they've already proved quartz is a great uh energy conductor, conductor, but also uh uh what what's the word I'm trying to say?
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: Um it's basically like a giant computer that has all this memory uh storage.
- 18:29SPEAKER_03: And uh, if you've ever heard of the crystal skulls, I mean they sent these skulls that they got to like serious, like MIT and some other big places, and they proved that yes, these objects can hold energies and and store them.
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: And the theory is that with quartz and limestone and underground water aquifers, that the um energy from not only bad experiences like Gettysburg, okay, so say battlefields, but maybe also a very happy uh house that had generations of of families in it.
- 19:09SPEAKER_03: Pause for a second imprinted and with a certain uh meteorological pretty much the same thing.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's what we got.
- 19:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it got it got quiet.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they froze up a little bit, that's fine.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: Uh I totally lost my track of out here.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: But like Gettysburg, I mean, a lot of blood was spelled.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: A lot of stuff happened, a lot of I believe a lot of it's residual energy.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: No, residual energy person intelligent energy.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: You know, I believe residual energy is just energy.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: They moved on, but their imprint is left here.
- 19:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: You know, just you know, that whole VCR just playing over and over and over and over.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: Mr.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: Skeptic over there that doesn't really believe in ghosts yet, been doing this for 10 years, but I mean, let's go down the rabbit hole a little bit.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: You know, what do you think?
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: What do you think it is, then?
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: Oh what are your theories?
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: Man, we could be here all day.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: So I have I have an absolutely wild, wild my mind.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: It's going a hundred miles a minute all day.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: And uh man, I'm one of those people that like you give me a good conspiracy theory and you give me a little bit of proof, and I'm going with you.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: Like, let's go to the bottom of this thing.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: So um, you know, I I kind of believe a little bit of of everything.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: Well, I guess let me rephrase that.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: I don't know what I believe in yet because I'm still trying to figure it out.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: But there's a lot of things that I have in my head from that we are living in this like more multidimensional um, you know, earth where I think that whatever it is is able to, you know, go between the realms, and you're just um, you know, I think on I'm not really sure on the religious thing yet.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: I'm still trying to figure that out, but you know, if there could be demons, but then if you go back to like you know the book of Enoch and it talks about all the Nephilim and the fallen children, and that's what's you know, that's what's inhibit inhabiting Earth, and that's what's like the ruler is like these half human, half, you know, angel demon babies, and you know, they're trapped here and that's why they're demonic, trying to take over things, is they're not they can't die and they can't go to heaven.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: And then you have this new theory that's coming out where all these people are saying that these uh these uh UFOs are not extraterrestrial but interdimensional, and that that's what they believe ghosts are is that they just live in this other realm and that they feed on it.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: What I was listening to uh that Steve Greer, I think his name is there the guy that's kind of going crazy right now with the alien stuff.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: And uh he wasn't talking about uh paranormal stuff, but he was talking about like whenever.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: They uh one of the CIA projects that they were doing, like the project Looking Glass and the Stargate and stuff, that were they were, you know, taking people and um, you know, making them do the uh astro projection and they could and they were trying to use it as like a CIA spy type of weapon.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: And then they were saying that when they went into this other realm that there was these really tall shadow people and they fed on their energy and all this.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, holy cow, that's exactly what we see inside of uh my what uh instantly came to my mind was um I went to Waverly and all I saw there was just a bunch of tall shadow people and they were sucking my batteries dry.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: And you know, um, you know, when you get out done off like a really big investigation, you feel tapped out for a couple days, you know, and it's not a normal tapped out, like you know, we'll go to the Reynolds mansion and stay up all night and I'm fine the next day.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: You go to a Pennhurst, it feels like I'm depleted for two days.
- 22:49SPEAKER_04: You know, yeah.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: So I I don't know what I believe yet.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: And but I do know that rarely do I get something that's like, hey buddy, how's it going?
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I passed on, just don't know where I'm at.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: But most of the stuff that we get is like, get out, run, I'm gonna kill you.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: And I don't understand that.
- 23:07SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, we're guys, we might be threatening to them compared to other people.
- 23:12SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 23:12SPEAKER_02: But I mean, yeah, I mean, one of the theories I have, and why I'm kind of called trap souls too, is you know, you got the religious factor of it.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: You know, when you most people believe in the afterlife, what if you don't believe in afterlife?
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't I do I definitely believe in an afterlife, and I definitely am uh religious, but I um yeah, like near death stuff, man, that fascinates me so much.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: And just the everyone on earth that dies, regardless of you know, religion, culture, um, they're all kinds kind of seeing the same thing, and even science is going like, I don't know, you know, um, and they're all they're doing is you know tossing out theories too, like, oh, you know, it's like your pituitary gland, shooting extra whatever, and that's like your final death uh goodbye.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: But um, so I I don't know.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: I I do believe there's an afterlife.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: And I we were talking about this the other night when we were in the woods.
- 24:11SPEAKER_01: I made a joke.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: I was like, man, how bad would that suck?
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: This was like a booming mining town, and then it just you know got overrun by the woods after it was abandoned.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: Like, how bad would that suck to be alive and then you die there, and all of a sudden you're just trapped in the middle of the woods, right?
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like yeah.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's another theory.
- 24:34SPEAKER_02: Like, some people believe spirits can go back and forth where they want to.
- 24:38SPEAKER_02: Um, I do believe some spirits are confined to certain spaces.
- 24:44SPEAKER_02: You know, you talk like Trans-Allegheny, you know, they have their certain spirits are always there.
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: Maybe they like it there.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and we're talking about places, so I'm gonna give a little shout out.
- 24:55SPEAKER_02: We have like the owner convention right here.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: We have Cindy who owns the Ross House, she's on right now.
- 25:01SPEAKER_02: We have the Cabinet on 360 and the Aurora brothel.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: It's like everybody who owns a building is coming on.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: I actually just started following the Ross House the other day.
- 25:12SPEAKER_02: Oh man, Cindy.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: Um, Cindy's a trip.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: You can go down and investigate and just talk to Cindy the whole time, it's worth it.
- 25:20SPEAKER_03: I mean, right on it, she's unbelievable.
- 25:22SPEAKER_03: That's that's one of the greatest things I think from our combined experience.
- 25:26SPEAKER_03: Um, and we've talked about this.
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: We have met some of the best people, you know, just investigating, and they're just like us, they're curious, um, they're intelligent, and they're like, you know, a lot of people will, and I'm like, what got you into this?
- 25:42SPEAKER_03: Well, I had this experience, and so it's it's like a community.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: Um, and I I would say there's a good and a bad community involved in the paranormal research field.
- 25:58SPEAKER_03: Uh, there are those that just do it because they're having fun, they like to meet people and get along.
- 26:04SPEAKER_03: Uh, but then there's the flip side.
- 26:06SPEAKER_03: Uh if you've ever heard of paraunity, which I think is a joke.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: Oh, you froze.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: You said perunity froze.
- 26:15SPEAKER_03: There we are.
- 26:16SPEAKER_03: There.
- 26:16SPEAKER_03: So I'm sorry, Ryan.
- 26:18SPEAKER_03: Getting back to paraunity, some of the people in my experience that push paraunity loud and clear are those who will, you know, turn around and stab you in the back.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 26:28SPEAKER_03: Because you might be taking views from them or something, you know.
- 26:33SPEAKER_03: And I've experienced that firsthand.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: It's getting better, I believe.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: I mean, paraunity like a year and a half ago was a big topic.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: I believe it's on the upside right now.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: I'm a big believer in it because I do work with a lot of other groups.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, many status podcasts, and I get invited everywhere now for some people.
- 26:49SPEAKER_02: Reason people like me.
- 26:50SPEAKER_02: I don't know the reason why, but you know, they invite me, so I go.
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: So I think, but just I always say this on all my podcasts, just like living people.
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: You click with some people, you click, you don't click with people.
- 27:01SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 27:02SPEAKER_02: You know, you can investigate with me and you don't like the way I investigate.
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: It's not that you hate me, it's just that you don't want to investigate with me.
- 27:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm not I'm not your cup of tea.
- 27:12SPEAKER_02: But people take that like if I don't want to investigate with you, and then you're gonna get me like, oh, he's an a-hole, you know, he doesn't want to hang out with us.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: And no, it's just not we just don't get it's not the same thing, you know, it's just like you're friends.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: I think uh we have a really good dynamic between the two of us because we are almost polar opposites when it comes to how we investigate.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: He is kind of the I call him like the paranormal nerd.
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: He knows everything about the paranormal and you know about everything, and well, you know, he knows a whole lot, he knows all the theories behind it, and um, I think a lot of it for me, if I were to be really honest, um, you know, just being in the military for how long I was and then retiring um just recently is like I just want to go see some wild shit and then see why it happened, you know.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: And uh it's so but but I have fun and I'm respectful, but you know, at the end of the day, it's it's still an adrenaline rush, no matter who's doing it.
- 28:10SPEAKER_02: Um we're both in the military.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: Yes, yep.
- 28:13SPEAKER_02: He thank thank you for your service.
- 28:15SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah, he he retired from it.
- 28:18SPEAKER_03: Uh we were both in the army, he retired.
- 28:21SPEAKER_03: I did my tour and got out.
- 28:23SPEAKER_03: That's where our name came from.
- 28:25SPEAKER_01: It's like uh the GIs, it's a special you know, military.
- 28:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's why I made that thumbnail with the flags and all that stuff.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: So yeah, that was very nice.
- 28:33SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: Um, I have this up here.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: I just was looking at that, yeah, and that's really awesome.
- 28:39SPEAKER_02: I was trying to get lit up, but it wasn't working, so it's just up there right now.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: My son's in the air force right now, he just went in last year.
- 28:45SPEAKER_03: So okay, congrats, man.
- 28:46SPEAKER_03: Yep, congrats.
- 28:49SPEAKER_03: Right, proud.
- 28:50SPEAKER_02: I don't know if it was tours, he's a capir guy, but hey, whatever.
- 28:54SPEAKER_03: So raise his hand and join.
- 28:55SPEAKER_03: Yep, he volunteered, so one percent of America.
- 28:59SPEAKER_02: Surprised the heck out of us.
- 29:00SPEAKER_02: He just came home, he's like, I'm gonna join the Air Force.
- 29:02SPEAKER_02: We're like, What?
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, my uh my nephew actually just signed uh his papers at MEPS last week, and kind of the same thing.
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: He came home, uh, Air Force as well, and uh told my sister, like, hey, I I'm gonna join the Air Force, and she was like, Here we go again.
- 29:17SPEAKER_03: I think we uh both of our uh experiences with the military, um, and some practice, you know, just figuring each other out how we investigate.
- 29:27SPEAKER_03: Uh, it has definitely helped with the discipline of you know, planning, setting up an investigation, actually carrying it out.
- 29:34SPEAKER_03: Um, and yeah, I mean, even after 18 months, you know, we're we still have a few kinks here and there.
- 29:41SPEAKER_03: Uh, but personality-wise, the three of us get along great.
- 29:45SPEAKER_03: Um, it's just very professional and and it's fun as well.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: It's just a lot of fun.
- 29:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: I mean, especially military.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: I mean, you guys plan, I mean, that's part of military, have each other's backs.
- 29:57SPEAKER_02: And you know, one thing in the paranormal, I'd always on a swivel, right?
- 30:02SPEAKER_03: Totally.
- 30:02SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 30:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 30:03SPEAKER_02: So, I mean, you guys are gonna catch a lot of stuff because I guarantee you guys are looking around everywhere.
- 30:10SPEAKER_03: So some nights more than others, yes.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, it depends where you're at, too.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: So yep, yeah, so actually, just speaking about like where we're at, so that's kind of what we've been focusing on um for two reasons.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: What uh what I'm about to say is so we are hyper focused on folklore locations for two reasons.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: One, I think that they're just a lot of fun because it's you know, that off-the-beaten path, not everyone goes there.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: It's you know, it there hasn't been seven groups in the last weeks, just since then you've been there ruining all the energy, and you know, uh, not that those big places aren't fun, you know, like the Disneylands of the paranormal.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: Um, but you know, like we're going to the places where you know the town since the beginning of time has been like, man, that building's haunted.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: We're like, let's go check that out then and let them know.
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: Um, and then on the flip side of that, it's also free, you know.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, so but so that you know, there's there's two cons to it, or I mean two pros to it, but the the con to it is uh you know, for paranormal content, when you're trying to like really get viewers, you know, going into an old house is definitely not as you know exhilarating as going to your your trans-allegheny or your you know waverly.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: So it's a kind of a give and take of you got to kind of buy what we're into.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: Um, and we're into we're just gonna have a good time and show you what we saw, and we're gonna debunk what we did, you know, or we're gonna attempt to debunk what we find, and we're gonna present the evidence in a fun way.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and hopefully that you enjoy watching it.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: And and Steve does a great job.
- 31:44SPEAKER_03: We're uh very good friends with a local historian here, and a lot of our investigations here in Bellefont, uh, nobody has ever been invited in to investigate these places.
- 31:54SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, I mean, we're the first shot at it.
- 31:57SPEAKER_03: Uh, and Steve has been doing a great job.
- 32:00SPEAKER_03: We try to keep it entertaining and also throw some history because um, so yeah, I mean, there's just a lot of history, and when we can be invited into a place that's never been investigated, uh, I mean, we're tapping the place for the first time and and we're thrilled.
- 32:14SPEAKER_03: It's it's a lot of fun.
- 32:16SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 32:17SPEAKER_02: That's definitely the double unknown.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: You know, you're always investigating the unknown.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: Now you're going into the unknown to investigate the unknown.
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think the most shocking unknown that we've been to is there was a school administration, uh the a district school administrative building, like where the superintendent works, um, and you know, all the other you know, people that run the operation.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: Anyway, it's in an old church, and um, you know, everyone in this town has always told me that it's haunted, but no one knows why.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: And I couldn't find anything on it, no history on the internet.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: You can't even Google it.
- 32:53SPEAKER_01: Like when you Google it, all right.
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, so when we uh we went in there and it was pretty non-stop activity, and we were definitely the first people to ever investigate.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: I got my uh I got the flashlight in my pocket pulled.
- 33:07SPEAKER_01: You can see it clearly on camera.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: Um, we got a a voice in the basement that was just the most growly get out you've ever heard.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: We got a woman screaming on camera, uh, a lot of intelligent activity.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: We got this EVP that was on only one of our camera when two of them were rolling that says, like, hurry, run, get out.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: And it's like, you know, but the whole night was like that.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: And it and and that's what I really enjoyed, you know, like it people were like, there's no way that's haunted.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: That's like an active school building.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: And then you go in there like, check this out, you know.
- 33:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:38SPEAKER_03: Oh, and then and in a very uh what are probably three inch thick, three-inch thick, heavy wooden fire door.
- 33:46SPEAKER_03: Uh oh, yeah, that that just like opened and and slammed on its own, and there was no one even on it.
- 33:54SPEAKER_03: This was in the basement.
- 33:55SPEAKER_03: So yeah, it was it was definitely a crazy place.
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: The best part about that investigation, though, is the superintendent did not believe in ghosts, and then after the day we told them, hey, if we come here, we could wake up some activity.
- 34:07SPEAKER_01: And he was like, Well, if I don't believe in ghosts, I'm not worried about the activity.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: We left late at night, you know, early in the morning, whatever, and then they came in the next morning because I think we did it on like a Tuesday at 7:30 or 8 o'clock in the morning.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: Everyone's phone in the entire building, regardless of their provider, went into EOS emergency mode.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: And freaking uh uh they had all kinds of computer problems, and then the superintendent later in that week was on a webcam call, and the person that was on the conference call with them was like, Hey, I think someone's trying to play a joke on you.
- 34:39SPEAKER_01: There's a woman standing in like colonial clothes behind you, and he was like, What?
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: And he turned around and she disappeared, and then he had another incident, and now he wants to sell the building.
- 34:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're we're talking a PhD, you know.
- 34:53SPEAKER_03: So a PhD.
- 34:55SPEAKER_03: So when they start saying, uh, what's going on, you know, and yeah, just just a crazy place that that place is.
- 35:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:03SPEAKER_02: Almay says a lot of old churches have deep, dark secrets inside them, which is weird.
- 35:08SPEAKER_02: You always think church, you know, that's a lot of safe places for a lot of people, but these old churches are pretty uh pretty haunted.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:18SPEAKER_01: I'm learning some weird things about churches and religion at the moment.
- 35:23SPEAKER_02: We'll get into some generic questions.
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: I mean, you guys talk about equipment, you like going old school, which I love.
- 35:27SPEAKER_02: Um, I still have my original digital recorder, I think it was like 20 bucks on at Walmart.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: Love it.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: I do have all the gadgets, spend a lot of money on stuff I don't use.
- 35:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, I hear you.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: We have whole totes full of stuff we don't use.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean to more modern equipment.
- 35:46SPEAKER_02: Well, what do you recommend?
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: What do you like using?
- 35:49SPEAKER_01: I think we both have our favorites.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: I am I if me personally, I could go into an investigation if I could only take one thing, I'm taking a spirit box, but I'm only gonna take a spirit box that I take the antenna out of.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: That's how I use mine.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: Um, I feel like it's a lot more credible that way.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: You don't get all that radio interference, but I've gotten the most intelligent and consistent responses out of a spirit box than anything else.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: And that is the one piece of equipment, you know, like as the non-believer or whatever, like I there's been a lot of things that I I just cannot explain.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: Actually, to the point where um we're trying sorry, we're trying something new because we have been getting our names called so much that I was like, hey, let's start going by fake names and see if they still call us by our real names to see if we're being followed by something, like we have an attachment, or or if like it really is an intelligent, you know.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: Like I started using the name Frank, my name's Steve.
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: So if I get the name Frank, man, that's kind of an intelligent, you know, spirit there.
- 36:50SPEAKER_01: Uh, but if I get the name Steve, man, maybe I should do some cleansing.
- 36:56SPEAKER_03: Well, my my favorites.
- 36:57SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm sorry, go ahead.
- 36:59SPEAKER_02: No, I'll say what's yours.
- 37:00SPEAKER_03: Uh, definitely a good uh electronic voice recorder.
- 37:05SPEAKER_03: I've had some phenomenal responses on that.
- 37:08SPEAKER_03: Uh, and Phasma Box, the Phasma Box app.
- 37:12SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm telling you, that I've been so impressed with that from day one.
- 37:18SPEAKER_03: Uh, and I know they had some issues because when Windows 11 came out, it would not jive with Windows 11.
- 37:25SPEAKER_03: So I guess they have them worked out now, thank god, because Phasmabox is my go-to.
- 37:30SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 37:31SPEAKER_03: Uh, and as Steve was saying about how we're changing our names, just to you know, see if we can add this a little bit more uh uh legitimacy to maybe somebody calling out our name.
- 37:43SPEAKER_03: Uh, we were at Pennhurst, and he goes by Frank.
- 37:47SPEAKER_03: Uh you went by Bob.
- 37:49SPEAKER_03: I go by Bob.
- 37:50SPEAKER_03: And we went to the basement of the infirmary building at Pennhurst, clearly, clearly got a male response.
- 37:59SPEAKER_03: Hi, Bob.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 38:01SPEAKER_03: I mean, like, snap your thumb, and we're just like and then it called him Bob for the rest of the night.
- 38:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, it was really crazy.
- 38:08SPEAKER_01: Well, hey, what's really funny too is I think that it fought he had to go upstairs and get a piece of equipment, and I think it followed him out of the basement because I was down there with Brian and uh our camera guy and crew member, I don't like calling him camera guy, and uh, but uh anyway, we were getting all kinds of intelligent responses, and then Keith was like, Hey, I gotta go upstairs and go grab something I forgot, I don't remember what it was.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: Anyway, when he left, all the responses stopped.
- 38:32SPEAKER_01: But as he walked upstairs, we had a motion to sensor out in the hallway.
- 38:36SPEAKER_01: That thing went off, and then uh and then while he was upstairs, his headlamp went off.
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: And then when he came back down, the activity ramp back up again.
- 38:43SPEAKER_03: I was like, I think something's following you, man.
- 38:45SPEAKER_03: Well, and and then right before I hooked back up with them when I came back downstairs, my headlight died upstairs.
- 38:52SPEAKER_03: I come down the steps with my hand flashlight and walked, and I thought I walked into a cobweb.
- 39:01SPEAKER_03: And I said, Oh, okay, no big deal.
- 39:04SPEAKER_03: So they came out, hey, what happened?
- 39:05SPEAKER_03: And I said, I think I walked into a cobweb.
- 39:08SPEAKER_03: So we looked all over the place.
- 39:09SPEAKER_03: There was no cobweb there.
- 39:10SPEAKER_03: I said, All right, had to be a cobweb, look at the top of my shirt, you know, how the little cobweb will stick to your shirt.
- 39:16SPEAKER_03: There was nothing.
