Let thy priests, o lord, be clothed with justice, and let thy saints rejoice for thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed. O Lord, remember David and all his meekness. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost as it was in the beginning is now and will be through all ages of ages. Amen. Let thy priests, O Lord, be clothed with justice, and let thy saints rejoice: for thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
• 1:22
The Collact. Let us pray. O God, who hast promised to those who leave all in this world for thee, a hundredfold in the world to come, and life everlasting, mercifully grant that, following closely in the footsteps of thy holy bishop Paulinus, we may have the grace to despise earthly things and desire only heavenly, who livest and reignest with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God through all ages of ages. Amen. A lesson from the second letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians.
• 2:15
Brethren, you do not need to be reminded how gracious our Lord Jesus Christ was, how he impoverished himself for your sakes when he was so rich so that you might become rich through his poverty. I am only giving you my advice then in this matter. You can claim that as your due since it was you who led the way not only in acting but in proposing to act as early as last year. It remains for you now to complete your action. Readiness of the will must be completed by deeds as far as your means allow.
• 3:03
We value a man's readiness of will according to the means he has not according to the means he might have but has not. And there is no intention that others should be relieved at the price of your distress. No, a balance is to be struck and what you can spare now is to make up for what they want. So that what they can spare may, in its turn, make up for your want, and thus the balance will be redressed. So we read in scripture, he who had gathered much had nothing left over, and he who had gathered little no lack.
• 3:54
The gradual. Here was a great priest whose life was acceptable to God. Where shall we find another to keep the law of the most high as he kept it? Alleluia. Alleluia.
• 4:11
Thou art a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Alleluia. A continuation of the holy gospel according to Luke. At that time Jesus said to his disciples, do not be afraid. You, my little flock, your father has determined to give you his kingdom.
• 4:40
Sell what you have and give alms. So providing yourselves with a purse that time cannot wear holes in, an inexhaustible treasure laid up in heaven where no thief comes near, no moth consumes. Where your treasure house is, there your heart is too. The offertory. I have found David, my servant.
• 5:15
With my holy oil I have anointed him, for my hand shall help him, and my arm shall strengthen him. The secret. Grant us, O Lord, to join the sacrifice of perfect charity with the oblation of the altar after the example of the holy bishop Paulinus and by zeal for good works, to deserve everlasting mercy. Through our Lord Jesus Christ thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, through all ages of ages. Amen.
• 6:06
The Common Preface Just it is indeed and fitting, right in for our salvation, that we should at all times and in all places give thanks unto thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, everlasting God. Through whom the angels praise thy majesty, the dominions worship it, the powers stand in awe, the heavens and the hosts of heaven, together with the blessed Seraphim, joyfully do magnify. We entreat thee that thou command it be permitted us to join with them in confessing thee, while we say with lowly praise. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts, the heavens and the earth are full of thy glory. Hosanna in the highest.
• 7:05
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. The communion. A faithful and wise servant whom the Lord hath set over his family to give them their measure of wheat in due season. The Post Communion.
• 7:35
Let us pray. Grant us, O Lord, by these holy things that sentiment of piety and humility, which thy holy bishop Paulinus drew from the same divine source, and by his intercession, benignly pour the riches of thy grace upon all who call upon thee through our Lord Jesus Christ, thy son, who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, through all ages of ages. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
• 8:27
  Saint Paulinus, pray for us.
