Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, my Love, Welcome to the Give Them Lalla Podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 1: The Bonus episode my most favorite episodes because we're nice
- 0:14Speaker 1: and self deprecating. You know, we're just not nice to.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Beat each other, which we love sometime.
- 0:22Speaker 3: No, it's fun, it's cute, it's lighthearted. I'm excited about
- 0:26Speaker 3: the topic for today because the topic is best advice.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Someone ever gave you? So good?
- 0:32Speaker 3: I feel like I have. It's so good, Jess. I
- 0:35Speaker 3: love that you put this one in the notes. I
- 0:38Speaker 3: feel like I have a bunch and Ethan, you and
- 0:40Speaker 3: I may share a few, but do you want to go?
- 0:44Speaker 1: First season?
- 0:44Speaker 4: You go.
- 0:46Speaker 3: I think the advice that comes to mind is one
- 0:51Speaker 3: that my very first high school boyfriend's mom told me,
- 0:55Speaker 3: and we were going through a.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Rough patch in high school. The man right.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Still to this day, the most productive and healthy relationship
- 1:08Speaker 3: I've ever had. We had our little immature fights, but
- 1:14Speaker 3: I remember his mom kind of intervening because our parents
- 1:19Speaker 3: really liked us together. And this was a moment where
- 1:22Speaker 3: his mom intervened and I was sobbing and I just said,
- 1:25Speaker 3: you know, he's my other half, and she said, Lauren,
- 1:27Speaker 3: when you come into a partnership, I want you to
- 1:30Speaker 3: remember this for the rest of your life. It can
- 1:32Speaker 3: never be fifty to fifty. You have to be one
- 1:35Speaker 3: hundred and they have to be one hundred. It should
- 1:36Speaker 3: always equal two hundred, never one hundred.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Absolute genius, yes and so true, so true.
- 1:44Speaker 3: So that, And now when people come to me, especially
- 1:48Speaker 3: people who are trying to get sober, and you know,
- 1:51Speaker 3: there's like this rule in the program where it's like,
- 1:53Speaker 3: do not date for a year, you know, get settled in,
- 1:56Speaker 3: and so a lot of times they want to do
- 1:59Speaker 3: the transference of addiction where they want to find a
- 2:01Speaker 3: person and they go through like the drinking part being
- 2:06Speaker 3: taken away, where they're now very aware of what's going on,
- 2:10Speaker 3: and they talk about all these things, and I have
- 2:11Speaker 3: to remind them the reason you're feeling this way is
- 2:14Speaker 3: because you are not one hundred percent.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You don't get to date until you are one hundred percent. Period.
- 2:20Speaker 3: And I always like thought that that was the most
- 2:23Speaker 3: I don't know that stuck with me, and that was
- 2:24Speaker 3: told to me when I was probably seventeen years old.
- 2:27Speaker 4: That's an amazing you can it's hard to love someone
- 2:29Speaker 4: when you don't love yourself.
- 2:31Speaker 1: No, absolutely not. So I dug that Easton what is yours.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Mine is from Mimi and Bob.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Okay, grandparents are Mom's parents.
- 2:39Speaker 4: This too shall pass. I love it. Yeah. So you're
- 2:43Speaker 4: on top of the world, This too shall pass. You're
- 2:45Speaker 4: underneath the world, This too shall pass. You feel smart,
- 2:49Speaker 4: so on and so forth right.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I love it, Yeah, because you're feeling.
- 2:54Speaker 5: It's the you're feeling yourself one that I have to remember, like, oh,
- 2:56Speaker 5: you think you're out top of the world right now.
- 2:58Speaker 1: That's gonna pass.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Get too much. Don't be too like your head's too big. No, no, right,
- 3:03Speaker 2: And even.
- 3:04Speaker 4: When you're in the deepest and darkest hole, remember that
- 3:06Speaker 4: you're gonna be back on top.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I love that you have a tattooed on your body, right,
- 3:13Speaker 3: you know you have, y'all, But.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I do want That was the next one I wanted.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Because y'all be sweet now. Because our grandmother, who was
- 3:20Speaker 3: a Southern bell, we would fight a biter. Yes, she ya,
- 3:30Speaker 3: that's adorable.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Yeah too.
- 3:32Speaker 5: On the car someone has stone in my car.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Also McDonald's drive through. How there's like pay window one
- 3:43Speaker 4: pick up two just speeds by. No.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I loved her and she had like the blonde bob with.
- 3:54Speaker 3: The really red lips. Really red long nails and like
- 3:58Speaker 3: fair fair.
- 4:00Speaker 1: But black, black blazer, shoulder pads, black catt eye glasses,
- 4:05Speaker 1: gold Mercedes.
- 4:07Speaker 2: This is the chakiest.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Woman I have.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Oh, she's so freaking chic. And her name was Mimi.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Of course she's Gigi's mom.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Of course, my mom could not be further. My mom
- 4:19Speaker 1: is Bob beyond my mom is Bob's on fire? No,
- 4:30Speaker 1: that's a great one. He's in.
- 4:31Speaker 3: And I do love when we talk about this because
- 4:34Speaker 3: it's like, when you are in the deepest, darkest days,
- 4:38Speaker 3: remember that is not your forever. And when you're you're
- 4:41Speaker 3: on top of the world, you better enjoy and practice
- 4:43Speaker 3: gratitude because that too, does not last forever.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Good one, good one. That's a good one.
- 4:51Speaker 5: I have quick ones, quick ones. My mom she said,
- 4:56Speaker 5: above all else, be kind to everyone.
- 4:58Speaker 2: So I that just has stuck with.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Me and we've practiced that on the podcast.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Thank you my Dad. Under promise over deliver. That promise
- 5:11Speaker 2: over deliver.
- 5:12Speaker 4: That's a business.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Yeah, and I do. I try and stick with that.
- 5:15Speaker 5: I always think, you know what, under promise over deliver.
- 5:18Speaker 5: And since I wrote these this morning recently, this was
- 5:20Speaker 5: just yesterday. Actually, this is from coach josh in jiu jitsu.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Okay, okay, but.
- 5:27Speaker 2: It works for life. I use this in life all
- 5:29Speaker 2: the time. He told me this at the very beginning.
- 5:31Speaker 5: He said, when you try a move and it doesn't work,
- 5:36Speaker 5: don't look at it as a failure. Look at it
- 5:39Speaker 5: as a setup for your next move. And it's very
- 5:43Speaker 5: true in jiu jitsu. Right, you go to try a
- 5:46Speaker 5: move and it doesn't work, well.
- 5:47Speaker 2: You didn't fail.
- 5:48Speaker 5: You shouldn't be like, oh shit, It's just a good
- 5:52Speaker 5: setup for next move. And I use it a lot
- 5:53Speaker 5: in jiu jitsu, and I use it a lot in life.
- 5:55Speaker 5: When I try something and it fails, I'm just like, okay,
- 5:58Speaker 5: but what other doors do this open?
- 6:01Speaker 1: Right? And why did it fail?
- 6:02Speaker 3: What do we need to like, go back to the
- 6:04Speaker 3: drawing board and figure out. You know, his words are wise,
- 6:07Speaker 3: and it makes me want to try anal again.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm totally want to try.
- 6:15Speaker 5: I thought she was gonna be jiu jitsu no, and
- 6:18Speaker 5: it makes me want to try anal.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Jessica, I was down for jiu jitsu until you show
- 6:21Speaker 3: up with a bruised nose, looking a hot mess and
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'm like, my face, absolutely not what happened.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I mean, who knows?
- 6:29Speaker 5: It's all show baby ands all jiu jitsu baby.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I ain't show ball for the cause all. It's
- 6:36Speaker 1: all for the cause, dear.
- 6:38Speaker 3: It's all for the cause, the body, obviously, and for
- 6:41Speaker 3: her defending us in the streets of Los Angeles.
- 6:45Speaker 4: We need you keep taking those bruises.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Here's also some advice in business with punctuality.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Oh, let's hear it.
- 6:54Speaker 3: If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time,
- 6:58Speaker 3: you're late. If you're late, don't show up. Who said that, Derenda,
- 7:01Speaker 3: I don't know what. The virgo in me loves.
- 7:03Speaker 2: It, like the virgo in me that I love that.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yeah, because my mom will be like, we're gonna be late.
- 7:11Speaker 3: It's fine, it's five minutes. I'm like, we might as
- 7:14Speaker 3: well not even go.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I'm kind of mom on that one. Five minutes.
- 7:17Speaker 5: My dad said, there's nothing more disrespectful than disrespecting someone's time.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we talk about it all the time about David. Uh,
- 7:26Speaker 1: Larry David very quickly and then we'll move on. Okay,
- 7:30Speaker 1: then I have to talk about this. Larry David. In
- 7:33Speaker 1: one of the episodes the woman that he's living with, Vivica,
- 7:36Speaker 1: A Fox's mother is like, Larry, the next door neighbor
- 7:40Speaker 1: people are being robbed, and he goes, hold on, why
- 7:42Speaker 1: are you talking to the neighbors. He's like, because people
- 7:45Speaker 1: the community is scared, Larry, we're being burglarized. And he goes,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I don't care about this.
- 7:50Speaker 3: He's like, you don't care that people are being robbed,
- 7:52Speaker 3: that people are being robbed, and he goes, no, because
- 7:54Speaker 3: the thieves want you. Thinks the neighbors want my time.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I'd rather give give things than time. Don't talk to
- 8:00Speaker 3: the fucking neighbors.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Fuck, that is so funny.
- 8:05Speaker 4: It's so good.
- 8:06Speaker 3: If you don't watch curb your enthusiasm? What are you
- 8:08Speaker 3: doing on this podcast?
- 8:09Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 8:09Speaker 3: It is but a podcast about nothing? Okay, but also
- 8:15Speaker 3: welcome and we hope you stay all right? What did
- 8:17Speaker 3: our friends say?
- 8:18Speaker 1: You guys?
- 8:19Speaker 2: So much good advice, little things, big things.
- 8:21Speaker 5: I'm gonna start with your eyebrows are sisters not twins?
- 8:24Speaker 2: And how did you respond to that one?
- 8:26Speaker 3: You know, I really like this because that's how it
- 8:28Speaker 3: is with your tits.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Yep, which is like thank god, because when I was
- 8:31Speaker 5: younger and they started growing in.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, but.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It's like they're uneven. They're uneven, you guys.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Danielle showed me a picture Madison's sister. We used to
- 8:40Speaker 3: live together and we were wild wild. She showed me
- 8:44Speaker 3: a picture, and I don't know what we're doing, but
- 8:46Speaker 3: we're topless in a pool, and so Smiley and I
- 8:48Speaker 3: have two mangos in my I saw that picture you did.
- 8:53Speaker 5: I said, hey, Danny, at some point, send me photos
- 8:56Speaker 5: for the podcast of you guys's children. She sends me
- 9:02Speaker 5: that photo and then a photo of an actual asshole.
- 9:12Speaker 5: I want to say it was Google, but who knows.
- 9:14Speaker 3: I'm sure, but I'm looking at our boobs and the
- 9:17Speaker 3: right on both of us is like so tiny and perky,
- 9:20Speaker 3: and the left one just has the slightest bit of
- 9:22Speaker 3: dr so. And when I was looking at it, I
- 9:25Speaker 3: was like, Wow, look that interesting. But why am I
- 9:29Speaker 3: holding two mangoes in a pool.
- 9:33Speaker 1: So happy to.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Take out?
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's like noon on Monday.
- 9:40Speaker 5: And also, by the way, I remember thinking when I
- 9:43Speaker 5: saw that you hadn't had implants.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Right, yeah, I had.
- 9:46Speaker 4: I got like, your.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Boobs are big? Why did you ever get okay?
- 9:49Speaker 1: You?
- 9:50Speaker 5: I had n't Okay, keeping composure bothers people way more
- 9:55Speaker 5: than reacting to their drama.
- 9:56Speaker 1: True, true, but we don't. Are you choking?
- 10:02Speaker 3: I'm so hot headed. People speak buffoonery. I have to like,
- 10:09Speaker 3: I haven't conquered the art of being like they are
- 10:12Speaker 3: speaking buffoonery. Actually, I feel like at the reunion I
- 10:14Speaker 3: did a pretty good job of just like keeping and
- 10:19Speaker 3: someone tried to be like, I know, you're always you
- 10:21Speaker 3: always talk loud and yell the loudest thing. I go,
- 10:23Speaker 3: I haven't raised my voice, not at once. And he
- 10:26Speaker 3: goes and he goes, she hasn't, And I'm very proud
- 10:29Speaker 3: of you for that, because usually when someone says one
- 10:32Speaker 3: wrong thing, I'm up with the double fingers. Well we
- 10:36Speaker 3: know from last reunion, and I've tried to stop the
- 10:39Speaker 3: double finger guns, by the way, consciously by doing this
- 10:43Speaker 3: or this instead of this, so it's more stomachable, so
- 10:48Speaker 3: it doesn't feel like I'm pointing at you.
- 10:49Speaker 1: But I'm still very serious.
- 10:52Speaker 2: And that's on growth, bitch, that's amazing.
- 10:56Speaker 5: I do this a lot, which Obama used to do,
- 10:58Speaker 5: and I noticed I'm doing I do. That's when I
- 11:00Speaker 5: make points to Kyle and I'm like, am I the President,
- 11:03Speaker 5: it's amazing. Good for you, law thanks goode.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Are you comparing yourself to Baro?
- 11:09Speaker 2: You guys, that is my king. I will never.
- 11:11Speaker 4: About to say.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Maybe it was like we should probably we should probably.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Yeah more, maestro, maestro, not even that conductors are geniuses.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Okay, what's meant for?
- 11:22Speaker 4: You?
- 11:23Speaker 2: Won't pass you by? Love it You do agree with
- 11:29Speaker 2: that or not?
- 11:29Speaker 4: No, I feel like I was supposed to be an athlete.
- 11:31Speaker 4: I was just five to five.
- 11:32Speaker 1: You know that means it wasn't meant to be so.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Meant to be.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Who who's the tiny basketball player? He was on Space
- 11:39Speaker 5: Jam or mugs?
- 11:41Speaker 3: No, are you talking about bug a stuffed animal on
- 11:46Speaker 3: Space Jam or an actual person, the.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Tiny bogey Muggsy Bogues.
- 11:53Speaker 3: I know exactly who you're talking about. He had such
- 11:56Speaker 3: a cute face, so luxury Bogues.
- 11:58Speaker 4: We have Nate Robinson. Yeah, we had web.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Okay, so we got tinies out there.
- 12:03Speaker 3: But here's the thing you can do. You had you
- 12:06Speaker 3: It wasn't just that you were small.
- 12:08Speaker 1: You had an injury.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Well I forget about that.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Well, I don't you keep saying I was so small
- 12:15Speaker 1: and like that had nothing to do with it.
- 12:16Speaker 3: It had to do with you had a meet and
- 12:19Speaker 3: injury you could not play.
- 12:21Speaker 4: That is true, that to be true, not meant to be.
- 12:24Speaker 4: I'm on board, but meant to be.
- 12:26Speaker 3: What if What if something really happened and you like
- 12:28Speaker 3: couldn't walk anymore?
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:30Speaker 4: Okay, and I'm blessed.
- 12:31Speaker 5: And also Easton, I feel like at the end of
- 12:33Speaker 5: your life, we talked about this, You're going to look
- 12:35Speaker 5: back at your life and be like, oh, that's why
- 12:37Speaker 5: where you are. At the end of your life, you'll
- 12:39Speaker 5: be like, that's why.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Yeah, Lah, You've said this before. Do not take advice
- 12:44Speaker 2: from anyone who is not where you would like to be.
- 12:46Speaker 2: H never preach.
- 12:48Speaker 3: When someone tries to school me on life or tell
- 12:51Speaker 3: me what I need to change about myself, and I'm
- 12:53Speaker 3: looking at them, going you have nothing that I want, like,
- 12:55Speaker 3: I'm good on you.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 5: My mom always said you work till live. You do
- 13:01Speaker 5: not live to work balance your life. I feel like
- 13:03Speaker 5: this nation, including me, needs to hear that. But I
- 13:07Speaker 5: love work well I should hope.
- 13:09Speaker 1: So you live the fucking dream.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I love the dream.
- 13:11Speaker 6: Bernie Sanders with me and Easton, did you guys, I'm
- 13:16Speaker 6: just kidding, No, what did you say, Bernie Sanders is
- 13:21Speaker 6: introducing like a four day work week instead of.
- 13:24Speaker 1: That needs to happen.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Let me tell you how productive we be guys.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Wait, here's the thing. Half day on Friday. Most people
- 13:30Speaker 4: work anyway. It's like, how about we just take the
- 13:32Speaker 4: whole damn day off. I'll get my work done Thursday,
- 13:34Speaker 4: give me Friday to go kick it with my family,
- 13:36Speaker 4: and two days, two days to hang out. We need
- 13:39Speaker 4: two Saturdays and a Sunday wine day to recover.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not enough time.
- 13:44Speaker 5: This is based off of actual human social study too.
- 13:47Speaker 2: He's not just willing.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Yeah, like we yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Well, and also, like nine to five is a joke.
- 13:55Speaker 3: If you're gonna keep, excuse me, a five day work week,
- 13:59Speaker 3: you've got to cut down time.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Nine to five is absolutely ridiculous. Every single person I
- 14:04Speaker 1: know hits that slump at like three o'clock and then
- 14:09Speaker 1: they are worthless.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:11Speaker 1: The rest of the day is the rest. Yeah, exactly.
- 14:16Speaker 5: When I used to work in an office setting, after
- 14:18Speaker 5: three o'clock, we had to stay until five. After three,
- 14:20Speaker 5: everyone was in the break room on their phones. It
- 14:23Speaker 5: was just wasting time.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Well, that's because America has been like if you are
- 14:27Speaker 3: not miserable and so busy with not an ounce of
- 14:31Speaker 3: free time.
- 14:32Speaker 2: You're lazy and not working hard enough.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a lot.
- 14:36Speaker 3: It's like, well, I kind of want to enjoy my life.
- 14:38Speaker 3: And people talking about saving money saving money, It's like, well,
- 14:42Speaker 3: how about for a moment, you like, maybe think about
- 14:44Speaker 3: paying me more because I can't save if you're literally
- 14:48Speaker 3: taking up all my time working up.
- 14:49Speaker 1: This fucking office.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Yeah, for not even a lot of money, and then
- 14:53Speaker 3: you're screwing me with fucking bill.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah my rent.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, the amount of money some people are spending on rent.
- 15:02Speaker 2: How do these people live?
- 15:04Speaker 4: We can't buy a home. It's ridiculous because that's the reading.
- 15:08Speaker 4: No one can get a home. You have to make
- 15:10Speaker 4: so much money to even qualify for a mortgage. At
- 15:13Speaker 4: this point, you have to make it's like two dollars
- 15:17Speaker 4: with no debt. It's crazy.
- 15:19Speaker 5: We live in a nation under God, indivisible with no.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Liberty and no justice at all. Oh my god, it's
- 15:34Speaker 1: good hand.
- 15:37Speaker 4: I fall. I felt like I was an elementary school again.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Oh god, Okay, moving on.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Confidence is quiet insecurity is loud. I could not agree
- 15:48Speaker 5: with this more. Confidence is quiet insecurity is loud?
- 15:53Speaker 1: I don't fully agree.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Really, yeah, I feel like confidence.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I'm very confident. I am shouting it from the rooftop.
- 15:59Speaker 1: When I like when I'm feeling insecure is when I
- 16:03Speaker 1: get quiet, because it's like I I need to work
- 16:07Speaker 1: through this, I need to I need to conquer this.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I don't like this feeling.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Every time I see somebody like haven't you just seen
- 16:13Speaker 4: somebody walking down the street? You see hundreds of people,
- 16:16Speaker 4: but one person catches your eye and you're like, dam
- 16:18Speaker 4: that's confidence.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Like, okay, do you agree that?
- 16:21Speaker 1: Y'all loud? No, But I'm just saying, like walking.
- 16:24Speaker 4: But that's what I'm saying. I feel like confidence is
- 16:26Speaker 4: pretty loud.
- 16:26Speaker 1: It's an aura.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:27Speaker 5: I feel like it has to do maybe more with business,
- 16:30Speaker 5: because I do have to say with you lot, there's
- 16:32Speaker 5: so much you're working on behind the scenes that I
- 16:34Speaker 5: think any a lot of other people I see, if
- 16:37Speaker 5: they were in your place, it would be like, oh
- 16:39Speaker 5: my god.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Guys, big things like oh.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Okay, things popping.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Yeah, But you're just like quiet until it pops off.
- 16:47Speaker 5: And I feel like I'm like that and you.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Like that is sas saus does not you find out
- 16:53Speaker 3: about her stuff? Long long long, long down the line
- 16:57Speaker 3: when it's like come to fruition, yeah, which I love,
- 17:00Speaker 3: or count your chickens before they hatch yep.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Okay, this advice once more advice. You're not a tree.
- 17:06Speaker 5: You can move, move from situations, places, people, your body move.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna use that as an insult. You're not a tree.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Move you know you don't want me here? Well, you're
- 17:20Speaker 1: also not a tree. Move so good.
- 17:23Speaker 5: That's so true, and I'm gonna use that. I'm gonna say,
- 17:25Speaker 5: act like a tree and leave. Don't people say that?
- 17:28Speaker 3: Yes, mm hmm, I'm gonna say, make like a street
- 17:33Speaker 3: and fuck off.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Just make no sense, make.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Like a tree and go to hell.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's so funny.
- 17:42Speaker 3: It's like similar to mom crossing her eyes and dotting
- 17:45Speaker 3: her teeth.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Like just things that don't make sense. You should start
- 17:49Speaker 1: doing that. So funny.
- 17:50Speaker 3: You want to who conquered that with Jack Taylor? What
- 17:53Speaker 3: saying things that make zero sense?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Anyway?
- 17:55Speaker 4: Do you think they made sense?
- 17:56Speaker 7: Or is that?
- 17:57Speaker 4: What? Is that?
- 17:58Speaker 1: What it is?
- 17:59Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:59Speaker 1: That sounds right.
- 18:01Speaker 4: I like it.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Hilarious.
- 18:02Speaker 5: Wow, we have a ton of follow your gut. It
- 18:06Speaker 5: will never let you down.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That's true. Your mind will screw you, your heart will
- 18:11Speaker 1: screw you, your gut will never steer you wrong.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yes, is that you quote?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yeah, there's also a me quote that goes, fool me once,
- 18:20Speaker 1: shame on you, fool me twice, shame on you fool
- 18:24Speaker 1: me three times. You are dead.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Tell me no accountability.
- 18:30Speaker 2: That is the funniest shit ever.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Your accountability?
- 18:36Speaker 1: Can I tell you?
- 18:36Speaker 3: When people are like, you know, you don't take accountability.
- 18:39Speaker 3: These are people on the internet, I'm.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Like, yes, I do. You can't tell me anything. You
- 18:45Speaker 1: just didn't see it. You must have missed that episode accountability.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Yeah, you guys, I love this one because I didn't you.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Why does accountability?
- 18:57Speaker 1: I am not Are you joking?
- 18:59Speaker 4: You're not, You're not a little bit, But at any point,
- 19:04Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, name a story. We were supposed to
- 19:07Speaker 4: go to casita. She made the reservation at the wrong
- 19:11Speaker 4: and she goes, well, I told Jess, I was like,
- 19:13Speaker 4: this is you.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And then she goes, blame it on canvas.
- 19:20Speaker 3: No, but you were there when she tried to blame
- 19:21Speaker 3: the purse on me. She goes, it's not my perse.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I go, it is your purse. You brought it, and
- 19:24Speaker 3: just well, what I mean is it's not mine, Like
- 19:26Speaker 3: I don't own it you it's your bag.
- 19:28Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, yeah, you're right now, are you joking?
- 19:32Speaker 4: Accountability? No, Casper the Ghost and that one.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Oh that's funny, that's funny.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Let's show her this podcast.
- 19:40Speaker 4: She'll forget it.
- 19:42Speaker 5: I don't agree with this one, but I see it
- 19:44Speaker 5: a lot. If they wanted to, they.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Would do you guys agree if we wanted to.
- 19:48Speaker 5: If they wanted to, they would've always heard that in relationships, like, oh,
- 19:51Speaker 5: he's not calling you, guess what if you wanted to,
- 19:53Speaker 5: he would move on.
- 19:54Speaker 3: The reason I don't agree with that is because the
- 19:56Speaker 3: amount of times that I've sat there being like i
- 19:59Speaker 3: want to text this person so badly but I'm not
- 20:01Speaker 3: going to, and thought about reasons why I shouldn't, and
- 20:05Speaker 3: I go into well, if they wanted to talk to you,
- 20:07Speaker 3: they can hit you up, and it's like.
- 20:09Speaker 4: But they're probably going through the same things you are. Yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 4: I know, I agree with it, but I don't. But
- 20:13Speaker 4: I think that's the biggest thing is like I'm I'm
- 20:15Speaker 4: going to text them, but then I'm worried about what
- 20:18Speaker 4: their response will be or how they feel. And then
- 20:20Speaker 4: I'm like, if they like me, they'll text me. Yeah.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I think the biggest thing is we're all out here
- 20:24Speaker 3: being like we're worth fighting for, and it's like right,
- 20:28Speaker 3: but we all feel that, like what makes you so
- 20:30Speaker 3: special that you get to do no work?
- 20:32Speaker 4: Right? Because I'm me?
- 20:34Speaker 5: You know I gave this is a true story. It's
- 20:37Speaker 5: kind of said. I gave my friend that advice. I said,
- 20:40Speaker 5: if he wanted to, he would. This was in when
- 20:42Speaker 5: I went to college in Rochester and he wasn't texting
- 20:45Speaker 5: and it was a bartender she met, and I'm like, ah,
- 20:47Speaker 5: if he wanted to, he would, And I talked shit
- 20:50Speaker 5: on him and he had passed away.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Oh shit, did she.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Get him the night before?
- 20:55Speaker 5: And she found out a week later she saw on
- 20:58Speaker 5: a Facebook he died, So he may I wanted to,
- 21:03Speaker 5: but he was dead.
- 21:05Speaker 1: That's so sad.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I felt bad for that. Moving on to.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Sometimes I wonder if Marvin died.
- 21:16Speaker 5: I don't know, Marvin, if you're out there, let us
- 21:19Speaker 5: know you're okay, dance.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Your way into the comments.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I love God.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Where That's one thing about this pregnancy as well, is
- 21:30Speaker 3: I feel that it's given me even more truth serum,
- 21:34Speaker 3: and it makes me feel bad. Maybe not though at
- 21:37Speaker 3: all where I'm like, I have to be honest, I
- 21:39Speaker 3: don't care.
- 21:40Speaker 4: I get you, because with my anxiety, I'm starting to
- 21:43Speaker 4: just be like, you know what, that's kind of giving
- 21:45Speaker 4: me anxiety care anymore.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah, Like Mom was talking to me about something. I said, Mom,
- 21:48Speaker 1: I got to be honest, I don't care about this.
- 21:50Speaker 1: She got to move on.
- 21:52Speaker 4: I did that.
- 21:53Speaker 1: She was like, oh okay, and I was like, yeah,
- 21:56Speaker 1: all right, anyway.
- 21:57Speaker 5: I love that Kyle can do that, and I can't
- 22:00Speaker 5: say that. I sit there and I'm like, when is
- 22:04Speaker 5: this fucking gonna end? And Kyle will be like, hey,
- 22:07Speaker 5: is this gonna end soon? And not just to me,
- 22:09Speaker 5: he'll say to other people, Hey, I'm not very interested
- 22:12Speaker 5: in this.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Is this almost I need to just take life lessons
- 22:15Speaker 4: from Kyle. It seems like he's just straight.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Up or he'll go, hey, I'm not going to come
- 22:19Speaker 2: to that dinner. Why I don't want to?
- 22:21Speaker 4: Oh, I need to start. Hey, I'm going to start
- 22:24Speaker 4: doing more of who I want to be?
- 22:26Speaker 1: An asshole?
- 22:27Speaker 4: Yeah, because that's who I really want to be. But
- 22:29Speaker 4: I want to make people so happy all the time.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It makes me happy, makes me so and I'm just
- 22:35Speaker 3: gonna start saying fuck your plans, fuck you, I'm staying home.
- 22:39Speaker 3: You can't say the F word. You just have to
- 22:40Speaker 3: be like I don't. I don't care about this.
- 22:42Speaker 2: No, he has nothing to do with you. I just
- 22:45Speaker 2: personally don't.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Speaking from emotion right now. But yeah, no, I'm going
- 22:48Speaker 4: to say, you're it sounds beautiful. I won't make it.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I won't be there Tomorrow.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I may want to be there and I could feel
- 22:54Speaker 3: like I missed out, but today, like.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 22:57Speaker 4: See, that's the thing I like. I like plans on
- 22:59Speaker 4: the day. Don't make a plan tomorrow and then tomorrow
- 23:02Speaker 4: I won't want to do it.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay, brutal, but true. Stop feeling bad for yourself.
- 23:10Speaker 2: You're not the victim. Some people are the victims, though,
- 23:14Speaker 2: and and my hearts go out to them.
- 23:15Speaker 3: But I agree, I would rather have that say. You're
- 23:19Speaker 3: not that special.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Your people don't care about you that much.
- 23:24Speaker 4: You are not the here's the thing, we're all the
- 23:26Speaker 4: main characters in our lives. No one gives a shit
- 23:29Speaker 4: about anybody else about that but themselves.
- 23:32Speaker 2: No one cares that much. You're not that special.
- 23:35Speaker 5: I know it's hurtful, Yeah, care right, No one gives
- 23:38Speaker 5: a fuck.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Love to talk about themselves.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Nobody goes against It goes against everything that we say
- 23:46Speaker 3: to teach your kids, like build them up, make them
- 23:48Speaker 3: feel But that's why it's for the outside world. You
- 23:52Speaker 3: are a special person out there though you're just one
- 23:56Speaker 3: and the same.
- 23:57Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why you have to feel okay and go
- 24:00Speaker 5: with yourself because at the end of the day, that's
- 24:02Speaker 5: who you die with, that's who you're left with. You'll
- 24:05Speaker 5: never be able to leave yourself until you've passed away.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Oh God, I will say though.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I looked at mom this weekend and was like, do
- 24:13Speaker 3: you forget really sick of yourself? I go, I'm ready
- 24:16Speaker 3: to hang this face, this body, this personality at the
- 24:21Speaker 3: fucking door.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I just want to be of myself. I don't want
- 24:26Speaker 1: to hear myself talk.
- 24:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I hate hearing myself.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I look myself in the mirror.
- 24:31Speaker 4: If you had a body, go to Saint George, take
- 24:33Speaker 4: down all the mirrors, no phones three days.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Well, if you had a body that matched your soul,
- 24:39Speaker 2: do you think you'd look the way you do?
- 24:41Speaker 4: I think I'd be more beautiful.
- 24:43Speaker 5: I think about that sometimes, not about the main character.
- 24:48Speaker 5: He still if you had a body that matched, a
- 24:51Speaker 5: face and body that matched your soul.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Have you ever seen Shallow Hal Yes?
- 24:55Speaker 4: I love that movie.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Do you think you'd look the way you do?
- 24:58Speaker 4: I'd be more beautiful way I No, I think i'd
- 25:00Speaker 4: be more beautiful. You would beautiful soul, you would. And
- 25:03Speaker 4: this jaw line does not do it justice?
- 25:06Speaker 1: You do?
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel that way. Thank you?
- 25:09Speaker 2: Do you think that way of you?
- 25:10Speaker 4: I do.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I think you're already No, but like I would be
- 25:16Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 25:18Speaker 1: No, it matches, It matches.
- 25:19Speaker 3: If I were a better person, I would have really
- 25:22Speaker 3: really cute feet, more petite hands, smaller, more slicked back ears,
- 25:26Speaker 3: and a really good jaw line, and that would match
- 25:28Speaker 3: your soul.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I love that. I think i'd be a Ferbie.
- 25:31Speaker 5: So I think I lucked out with this body, because
- 25:34Speaker 5: if I had a body and face that matched my soul,
- 25:37Speaker 5: I'd be like a smiling Ferbie or like a potato
- 25:40Speaker 5: with giants.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Oh maybe i'd be like a panda bear. Then yeah,
- 25:44Speaker 4: that's how I feel.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I am. Well, you has a reading animals?
- 25:47Speaker 4: Now, I don't bringing up herbies, and I'm thinking, all right,
- 25:50Speaker 4: we're going.
- 25:51Speaker 3: That's the aid for Sureby and Orca On March fifth,
- 25:55Speaker 3: National Geographic captured in Orca killing a great white shark,
- 26:00Speaker 3: and as I watched it, I was like, that's me,
- 26:04Speaker 3: we are Orcas, we are in Orca pod.
- 26:06Speaker 2: That was a bad bitch Orca. We can slammed it
- 26:10Speaker 2: and then with the.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Mouth with oh yeah, I knocked it out first and
- 26:13Speaker 3: then it how it up?
- 26:16Speaker 2: I wonder why, though, I hope that wasn't bullying.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Are you joking?
- 26:20Speaker 3: This is called survival, it's called nature, it's called the
- 26:25Speaker 3: circle of life.
- 26:26Speaker 1: They're hungry.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Oh you think they were eating it?
- 26:29Speaker 1: Yeah? They eat their liver.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Damn.
- 26:31Speaker 2: I did not know that.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Didn't you see all those sharks washed up along the
- 26:35Speaker 1: beach and they had perfectly almost like medical It looked
- 26:40Speaker 1: like medical incisions, and they were all in the same
- 26:45Speaker 1: place from Wales.
- 26:48Speaker 4: They don't eat the whole body.
- 26:50Speaker 7: Wow yeah, wow, Yeah, you just sounded like Jennifer Coolidge. Okay,
- 27:02Speaker 7: this is a good one.
- 27:04Speaker 5: Oh there's two good ones. Okay, I'm gonna say this one.
- 27:08Speaker 5: Though you are not obligated to love your family. Some
- 27:13Speaker 5: of them might not be your people.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Eastern I think we need to have a talk.
- 27:20Speaker 5: I agree, because guess what some of us are born
- 27:24Speaker 5: into horrific circumstances and I couldn't. I can't relate. But
- 27:30Speaker 5: you guess what, that's not your family. Goodbye, that's not
- 27:32Speaker 5: your family you have. Hopefully you can find family that
- 27:35Speaker 5: you do love, and that's your family.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I agree. What's the other one that you were going
- 27:39Speaker 1: to say? Was really good?
- 27:40Speaker 5: Create your own happiness? That's a big that's a hard.
- 27:45Speaker 4: A lot of people might be able to do that
- 27:47Speaker 4: with a fort He's really.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Is this, Bernie?
- 27:53Speaker 5: Is that you in an Eastern suit on to give
- 27:56Speaker 5: them all podcast trying to push it?
- 27:59Speaker 1: No?
- 27:59Speaker 4: I love the idea, just coming from like working a
- 28:02Speaker 4: nine to five Monday Friday. It's like, you know what,
- 28:04Speaker 4: I got everything done. Friday was a fuck off day anyway,
- 28:07Speaker 4: So it's like, you know what, let's just do it.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Create your own habit and then.
- 28:10Speaker 4: On Friday everybody could create their happiness.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Can I tell you something?
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yeah, speaking of whatever you're talking about that I wasn't
- 28:20Speaker 3: listening to because I A Stossy did Ocean's Human Design
- 28:26Speaker 3: and she said that ocean. It says about ocean. She
- 28:31Speaker 3: creates her version of heaven on Earth every day.
- 28:34Speaker 2: That is the most beautiful. I would get that framed.
- 28:37Speaker 1: How cute is that?
- 28:38Speaker 2: That is very so cute and does Yeah, she's so.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Cute right now.
- 28:44Speaker 4: She's the best.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And she has a little sing song voice where like
- 28:47Speaker 1: I got in the car last night and.
- 28:48Speaker 3: She I love you so much, MoMA, Where you go?
- 28:52Speaker 4: Mom?
- 28:53Speaker 2: Where you at?
- 28:55Speaker 1: She I love you too, mom.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Oh freaking She's an angel.
- 29:02Speaker 4: She was really excited to pick up Mama and Gigi
- 29:04Speaker 4: from the airport with you.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Was she with you?
- 29:06Speaker 4: Yeah? I drove and picked them up.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was really late, but that wasn't what it
- 29:10Speaker 1: was supposed to be anyway. That was a really fun podcast.
