- Najah: Love isn't hard, people are. I think we've normalized struggle. To the point that we mistake it for love. Who convinced us? That if it's hard. It must be worth it. I believe relationships require effort. I don't believe they should require constant fighting. There's a difference. Effort looks like Communication. Compromise. Patience. Learning each other. Growing together. Fighting, that's something different. If every disagreement turns into a battle, If every rough patch feels like a war? If loving each other constantly feels like surviving each other I don't think that's something we should be romanticizing. Every rough patch isn't meant to be pushed through. Some are meant to show you something. If I have to fight you to love me. Or fight with you just to love you? I don't want it. I'm not interested in fighting the person I'm supposed to feel the safest with. So if loving you feels like a constant fight. You can keep it. Love should be the one place I can finally put my guard down. Not another place I have to keep it up.
