- 0:00Speaker 1: Boulet Cap Podcast. Special guests in here my guy representing
- 0:03Speaker 1: North Valletjo, North Man, The Russell's here. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome man,
- 0:09Speaker 1: hey man. So give me like a you know, for
- 0:11Speaker 1: people who don't know man, kind of give everyone a
- 0:13Speaker 1: little kind of like run down on your background. How
- 0:15Speaker 1: long you've been making music and you know just where
- 0:17Speaker 1: you're from, you know, man, I'm from North Falo, California.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Uh shit. Background wise, I've probably been doing music since
- 0:28Speaker 1: I was like, probably started rapping since I was like
- 0:32Speaker 1: seven or eight, just like rapping with my sister, you know,
- 0:35Speaker 1: we're like beasts and instrumentals and shit from Lime Wire
- 0:38Speaker 1: or shit like that. Then I probably really started taking
- 0:41Speaker 1: it serious in like twenty eighteen, dropped my first project
- 0:44Speaker 1: called The Field Effect, and then from there we've just
- 0:46Speaker 1: been kind of like rolling rolling. So Vallejo, you know,
- 0:52Speaker 1: is a historical hip hop city. There's been some legends
- 0:57Speaker 1: out of vallet Ho. Su the Bay Area in general
- 1:01Speaker 1: is such a like it always referred to the Bay
- 1:03Speaker 1: as its like own thing. It's like it's like its
- 1:06Speaker 1: own country within a country, especially within hip hop. Right,
- 1:10Speaker 1: Like there's so much base Like you go to the
- 1:12Speaker 1: Bay and you'll go to the club and like if
- 1:14Speaker 1: you have like you're not like up up on what's hot,
- 1:17Speaker 1: there'd be like songs that aren't even from the Bay
- 1:20Speaker 1: that are like getting played out there that only worked there,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But like it's it's it's
- 1:24Speaker 1: his own world, man like. And you know, obviously the
- 1:29Speaker 1: bigger artists from the Bay that we know, e forty
- 1:31Speaker 1: mac dre uh you know hers fucking legend already. Yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 1: shout out to Gez, shout out to Kaylani. Where like,
- 1:41Speaker 1: you know, there's the there's the other other side of
- 1:43Speaker 1: the coin, which is like Hi Roll and and uh
- 1:46Speaker 1: Dell and all those guys who really had the nineties
- 1:49Speaker 1: on smash. But like, did you pull from any of
- 1:52Speaker 1: the more traditional Bay Area music, because I don't get
- 1:56Speaker 1: that from from when I listen to your ship, I
- 1:57Speaker 1: don't really get a lot of a lot of the
- 2:00Speaker 1: people would consider Bay Area vibes, right, I mean I
- 2:05Speaker 1: give a little bit of both, but yeah, I get
- 2:07Speaker 1: that a lot, Like I get a lot of love
- 2:09Speaker 1: from the East Coast because you know, like they fuck
- 2:11Speaker 1: with like rapping and bars. But definitely, I mean I
- 2:15Speaker 1: came up on forty and dre and short, like my
- 2:18Speaker 1: mom's a huge too short family, two short set guys
- 2:21Speaker 1: wrapping freaky tails when I was five. If you feel me,
- 2:24Speaker 1: shot your mom for playing freaky tails around here with
- 2:26Speaker 1: your phones man playing freaky tails and cocktails. Yeah you
- 2:30Speaker 1: feel me? But nah, I came up heavy on the
- 2:32Speaker 1: bait on the base shit, but I also had like
- 2:34Speaker 1: a mix of everything else, Like my pops played a
- 2:37Speaker 1: little bit of everything, So I was hearing whole hearing
- 2:40Speaker 1: nas and pop. You feel me that the kind of
- 2:43Speaker 1: stuff that, like you gravitated towards more the lyrical shit,
- 2:48Speaker 1: I think, uh yeah, just naturally, just because like that
- 2:51Speaker 1: music just resonates a bit more at times, like you
- 2:55Speaker 1: feel me as a kid when you hear Dear Mama
- 2:57Speaker 1: and you hear only God can judge me? Like you,
- 3:00Speaker 1: you don't know what's happening, but you know that something
- 3:02Speaker 1: is different, you know, I mean, like the just the
- 3:05Speaker 1: content matter is a bit different. So it definitely like
- 3:08Speaker 1: it just hits home a little bit more. You're so
- 3:13Speaker 1: talk about all your videos Good Company GC. Come give
- 3:17Speaker 1: me give me an education on this on what GC is?
- 3:22Speaker 1: What does it mean? So GC stands for a good Company,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and basically I started this company probably in about twenty seventeen,
- 3:29Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, and we're just like a basically like here
- 3:33Speaker 1: to help artists. You feel me in a bay like
- 3:36Speaker 1: I didn't really have any backing or support like outside
- 3:40Speaker 1: when I was growing my shit. I couldn't get people
- 3:43Speaker 1: to like help me and help me with play all
- 3:45Speaker 1: this extra shit playlist and just none of that. So
- 3:48Speaker 1: we start kind of figuring out the game and doing
- 3:50Speaker 1: it ourselves. And I kind of got with my homies
- 3:52Speaker 1: and we just started building a platform to where we're
- 3:55Speaker 1: like if an artist does need help and we love
- 3:58Speaker 1: what they're doing, we're able to syst and accommodate in
- 4:01Speaker 1: certain areas, whether that be like marketing content as playlists
- 4:06Speaker 1: and shit like that. And it's and it's a it's
- 4:08Speaker 1: on platform, right, so like you go to the YouTube
- 4:10Speaker 1: page and there's right. So we have a live performance
- 4:13Speaker 1: session platform, but we also do just a bunch of
- 4:16Speaker 1: other content and we kind of started we started a
- 4:18Speaker 1: live performance platform last December, and it's kind of like
- 4:22Speaker 1: you know, like Colors Genius, iMac shit like that, just
- 4:25Speaker 1: our own in our home because like, man, we had
- 4:28Speaker 1: to do we had to go everywhere to do everything.
- 4:30Speaker 1: You feel me, it's like every time we had to
- 4:32Speaker 1: shoot something, we had to go to in La New
- 4:35Speaker 1: York or Frisco. Yeah me, So I was like big
- 4:38Speaker 1: on bringing at home and doing it. We actually went
- 4:40Speaker 1: to a Vivo in twenty nineteen and shot some content
- 4:43Speaker 1: with them, and I was telling my team, I'm like, bro,
- 4:46Speaker 1: we gotta go home and do this ourselves. Like we
- 4:49Speaker 1: it shouldn't be we shouldn't have to fly across the
- 4:51Speaker 1: country to do it. So like that was a plan
- 4:53Speaker 1: and we kind of really went home and just made
- 4:55Speaker 1: that shit shape. Yeah, you were saying, like it's dope
- 4:59Speaker 1: because obviously Vallejo's not a place that like people who
- 5:02Speaker 1: aren't from the Bay frequent, right, So you're bringing a
- 5:05Speaker 1: lot of like attention and just trafficked like fro. We
- 5:09Speaker 1: didn't have some of the biggest execs in the game
- 5:11Speaker 1: coming to Valao, which has never happened. You feel me
- 5:14Speaker 1: pulling up to the crib, Like there was a point
- 5:17Speaker 1: where I stopped like taking meetings flying. I'm like, I'm
- 5:19Speaker 1: not going to do no meetings. You got to come
- 5:21Speaker 1: to the crib if you want to talk to me,
- 5:22Speaker 1: And like just that is so different because we've never
- 5:26Speaker 1: bro if you're not going to Marine World, you ain't
- 5:29Speaker 1: coming to Valao. You feel me. So now we have
- 5:31Speaker 1: artists who are like prominent and bubbling and established coming
- 5:35Speaker 1: to the v to work with us. You feel me,
- 5:37Speaker 1: and like that's a big stamp for Valao and the culture.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Just something different that we've never had. Like we literally
- 5:43Speaker 1: have to go everywhere for everything. If you just want
- 5:46Speaker 1: to eat great food, you damn there, gotta go somewhere,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you feel me. So it's like wait, wait, you're saying
- 5:51Speaker 1: that the food in Laos not great. No, the food
- 5:54Speaker 1: is smacking, but it's like the options are limited. Like, bro,
- 5:58Speaker 1: we're a city with fucking four or five exits. You
- 6:02Speaker 1: feel me. Like, if you want like all the eyes
- 6:05Speaker 1: like you feel Frisco, you can find everything you want
- 6:08Speaker 1: everything you feel me kind of yeah, give me that.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Like you know, obviously, for people who don't know, the
- 6:12Speaker 1: bear is broken up into a lot of different parts,
- 6:14Speaker 1: right you know obviously there's Oakland, Uh, there's Risco, Frisco
- 6:19Speaker 1: and yeah, so like what what do you think makes
- 6:22Speaker 1: because Vallejo, like I said, you know, shout out to
- 6:25Speaker 1: like Nepha Fario forty Valleo is a huge part as
- 6:29Speaker 1: far as just the historical context of barrier hip hop music.
- 6:32Speaker 1: But what what do you think makes Vallejo different than
- 6:34Speaker 1: the rest of the Bay. I think it's because we're
- 6:37Speaker 1: integrated but also separate, you know, like we're very like
- 6:41Speaker 1: once you cross the bridge, everything is kind of together,
- 6:44Speaker 1: like Emeryville, Oakland, h you got like, hey, we're all
- 6:49Speaker 1: of that shit. It's like you feel me. It's like
- 6:51Speaker 1: connected Berkeley, it's all like right there within each other.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Valeo it's like just it's just us here. You feel me.
- 6:59Speaker 1: There's no connection. And I think with that we've been
- 7:01Speaker 1: able to develop everything uniquely because it's like we're not
- 7:05Speaker 1: tied into nothing. So everything that comes out the v
- 7:08Speaker 1: is fresh, like it's only here. You can only get
- 7:11Speaker 1: this ship here, the sound and staun everything you feel me,
- 7:14Speaker 1: the sauce like bro, it's just a different energy. You
- 7:18Speaker 1: feel me. And people are really probably for about it
- 7:20Speaker 1: as well, Like you don't meet too many people from Valleo.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Who isn't like if you meet somebody from val they're
- 7:25Speaker 1: gonna let you know they from right. No, that's for
- 7:28Speaker 1: sure that that shit gonna come up period. Yeah. No,
- 7:31Speaker 1: that's facts or they're like they're they're they're like shot
- 7:34Speaker 1: of my guy Ken. His instagram is Vallejo Camp. Like, bro,
- 7:39Speaker 1: he obviously his motherfuger in Atlanta and he's talking about Lee, right, Bro,
- 7:44Speaker 1: you feel me because it's really it's it's the water.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Like we're we're a standalone city. You feel me. Like,
- 7:50Speaker 1: come from Frisco. You got to cross two bridges to
- 7:53Speaker 1: get in Balayo. You feel me. And we're both in
- 7:55Speaker 1: the Bay Area, but we're just like a standalone city.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Has there been any like of the Bay Area ogs
- 8:00Speaker 1: that have like tapped in with you yet? Yeah, for sure,
- 8:03Speaker 1: Like Fody, uh, Mandy as cool as fun, he's the best.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You know. Forty is like one of the few guys
- 8:10Speaker 1: you'll meet him and you'll be like, this is exactly
- 8:12Speaker 1: who I hope you would be, man, Bro exactly, Man,
- 8:15Speaker 1: I have all be for you, Like he's exactly who
- 8:18Speaker 1: you are, especially when he's off that wine or that tequila.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Boy different nigga, man. But yeah, Fody tapped in and
- 8:25Speaker 1: then uh he tapped in with me. It's been a
- 8:32Speaker 1: ski Yeah, Yeah, it's been a few, Bro, it's been
- 8:39Speaker 1: a few, but yeah, it's just been love. Like everybody
- 8:42Speaker 1: is now starting to kind of show love and not
- 8:44Speaker 1: even just like some of the younger ones pe tap scene, Yeah,
- 8:48Speaker 1: a lot of love. Uh, did he forty trying to
- 8:51Speaker 1: sign you? Ain't trying to sign you? But was also like, bro,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'm here whatever you're trying to do, whatever you need,
- 8:58Speaker 1: But no, he didn't try to sign I always tell
- 9:00Speaker 1: Forty like when his albums come out, like, Bro, who
- 9:02Speaker 1: the fuck says no to you? Bro? Because this motherfucker
- 9:04Speaker 1: will put a triple album out with everybody in the gate.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm like, bro, who says no to E forty? This
- 9:10Speaker 1: full cause they're gonna say yes, and like you'll see
- 9:14Speaker 1: the trackers, they'll be like, yep, everyone say yes exactly exactly.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I Mean he's a cultural for sure and one of
- 9:21Speaker 1: the most underrated mcs ever. Facts Facts hippopot shout out
- 9:29Speaker 1: to forty man. So with what you're doing, it's like
- 9:33Speaker 1: very very Uh, it's unconventional as far as like I
- 9:37Speaker 1: love your approach with like the music or the freestyles
- 9:40Speaker 1: you drop, they could be found on Spotify, they can
- 9:44Speaker 1: be found everywhere. You do your freestyles over original music.
- 9:47Speaker 1: It's just it's just it. I feel like you're you're, you're,
- 9:50Speaker 1: you're kind of approaching the rap shit. You know, everyone
- 9:54Speaker 1: always talks about content first, content first, content first, but
- 9:57Speaker 1: yet when they drop content, they don't really all truly
- 10:00Speaker 1: monetize it the way they should be, right, you know
- 10:03Speaker 1: what I mean? Like everybody can do a freestyle over
- 10:06Speaker 1: who shot you by biggie, but you can't get paid
- 10:09Speaker 1: off it, you know what I'm saying, If they you
- 10:10Speaker 1: don't own it. What was your motivation to kind of
- 10:14Speaker 1: approaching some of the content you do in that way
- 10:17Speaker 1: where you can really just kind of if you have
- 10:20Speaker 1: a moment where Charlemagne posts your freestyle, people can go
- 10:23Speaker 1: listen to it on Spotify, let it on YouTube. I mean,
- 10:26Speaker 1: that was my thing, and really it was like a
- 10:29Speaker 1: way for me to be able to like pay all
- 10:30Speaker 1: my niggas and like just everybody who helps me and contributes,
- 10:34Speaker 1: you feel me, Like everything we work on I'm just like, bro,
- 10:38Speaker 1: we need it accessible everywhere, so it's like wherever that
- 10:41Speaker 1: revenue comes from, we could be able to split it
- 10:43Speaker 1: and break it down, you feel me. And that was
- 10:45Speaker 1: like a big thing to me, Like I had a
- 10:48Speaker 1: crazy moment when I've just been figuring out the game
- 10:51Speaker 1: the past two years, and when I was looking and
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'm like, damn, bro, people are working on music videos.
- 10:56Speaker 1: People are shooting this kind of people are doing this
- 10:58Speaker 1: and it's going viral and they don't own it, and
- 11:02Speaker 1: they're not getting paid and the people who worked on
- 11:04Speaker 1: it aren't getting paid and the only person who's getting
- 11:06Speaker 1: paid is whoever monetized it on YouTube, you know, Like,
- 11:10Speaker 1: and that shit was just nuts to me. And I
- 11:12Speaker 1: had a big moment, like I had to go redo
- 11:14Speaker 1: a lot of stuff, like just making sure everybody is
- 11:17Speaker 1: good and straight. You feel me? So when you say
- 11:21Speaker 1: taking care of every so like do you give your
- 11:23Speaker 1: cameraman a split on the drun? I give everybody. If
- 11:27Speaker 1: you hold a fucking light in my video, you're going
- 11:30Speaker 1: to get a percentage if you anything, you feel me, Like,
- 11:34Speaker 1: if you contributed to something we've created or done, you're
- 11:37Speaker 1: gonna get all the live sessions were doing good company.
- 11:40Speaker 1: We break down all that bread. If you engineer record,
- 11:43Speaker 1: you edit the artist, the producer, like if you find
- 11:46Speaker 1: the projection that we use, if you send me an artist,
- 11:49Speaker 1: like I had a lot of homies who sent me
- 11:51Speaker 1: artists like like, hey, this is dope. If we end
- 11:54Speaker 1: up bringing them on, I'm giving you a percentage. You
- 11:56Speaker 1: feel me it wouldn't have happened without you. And it's
- 11:58Speaker 1: like this game, for some reason doesn't work like that.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I got a boy who works on a lot of
- 12:04Speaker 1: big music videos. We were talking and I'm like, hey,
- 12:06Speaker 1: how much? What do you own any of that? And
- 12:09Speaker 1: he's like nah, And I'm like, Bro, you've done a
- 12:10Speaker 1: hundred of them. What do you mean? Like some of
- 12:14Speaker 1: these have millions of views and the artists blew up
- 12:17Speaker 1: off the video. Why don't you own any of it?
- 12:20Speaker 1: That shit don't make no sense even like engineers, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: like people who like Bro, they I think engineer is
- 12:25Speaker 1: probably the most underappreciated person in the musical process. Bro yes,
- 12:30Speaker 1: because and it's it sucks because his game has been
- 12:33Speaker 1: built around like a Paola system or just a I
- 12:37Speaker 1: Gotta Eat system. That it is like niggas don't want
- 12:41Speaker 1: to percent it say rather you just pay them. But
- 12:43Speaker 1: it's like I don't like I don't charge for anything
- 12:46Speaker 1: I do, like any thing. You see what I do
- 12:48Speaker 1: with artists. If I help write put out a record, market,
- 12:51Speaker 1: any I put my bread up behind artists, I don't
- 12:54Speaker 1: charge for nothing. I just want a percent for what
- 12:56Speaker 1: I work for. I feel like there's no price worth
- 12:58Speaker 1: what I'm doing a feature. You hit me for a feature,
- 13:02Speaker 1: like everyone's how much you trying for a feature? It's
- 13:04Speaker 1: like I don't If I don't love it, I'm just
- 13:05Speaker 1: not gonna do it. Yeah, you feel me. And this
- 13:08Speaker 1: game has been twisted like nobody's operating off that everybody
- 13:11Speaker 1: want their bread and it's like that shit cool, But
- 13:14Speaker 1: like I'm really trying to like build something long term,
- 13:17Speaker 1: Like I'd be damned if something make ten million dollars
- 13:19Speaker 1: and I helped create it and you ain't getting nothing. Yeah, nothing,
- 13:23Speaker 1: not even five versus you know, you're right, especially with
- 13:26Speaker 1: like these young directors, right, they'll shoot a video just
- 13:29Speaker 1: for free most of the time, and it goes like
- 13:33Speaker 1: the artist blows up and the only nigga who ain't
- 13:36Speaker 1: got paid is the person who made it. Yeah, I
- 13:42Speaker 1: need a nap. That's a refreshing approach to the game. Man.
- 13:49Speaker 1: So right now, obviously you're you know, you've had a
- 13:52Speaker 1: lot of dope moments over the last few months. I
- 13:56Speaker 1: know Charlomagne is a big fan of yours, and he
- 14:00Speaker 1: and co signed a lot of new artists. Man shout
- 14:02Speaker 1: out Charlottemagne. Man, Charlemagne shows crazy love like organic natural facts.
- 14:07Speaker 1: He's one of the most organic naturally just amazing dudes.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I know. Man, Charlamagne shows so much love that niggas
- 14:14Speaker 1: think that I'm paying him the post now. They think
- 14:16Speaker 1: he's doing promo label. So that's so crazy, that's just insane,
- 14:20Speaker 1: you know. But he's like he's someone who like really
- 14:23Speaker 1: supports it, gets behind it, like where did where do
- 14:25Speaker 1: you where did he uh, like what do you know
- 14:28Speaker 1: kind of the origin of like how he discovered your ship?
- 14:30Speaker 1: O Vain so shout out to Hovain. Hobin is a
- 14:33Speaker 1: great guy. Man. Hoven is the guy. Man. Yeah, that's
- 14:37Speaker 1: he's making some questionable fashion decisions sometimes, but well you know, listen,
- 14:41Speaker 1: Hoven's a bigger guy, so he you know, there's certain
- 14:44Speaker 1: shit that probably ain't made in his size. East Coach niggas, Man,
- 14:47Speaker 1: it's just different out there. Man shout out trigg One.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Nigga had on ugs with the knitted top. Wait Coven
- 14:54Speaker 1: had it ugs on Wait wait wait, wait, no no no,
- 14:58Speaker 1: I will roast that now. But you feel me like
- 15:03Speaker 1: doing don't let me find out Hovein got huggs, bro,
- 15:05Speaker 1: because I will never let that probably got bro, I
- 15:09Speaker 1: never let that ship ever, ever ever. Charlemagne and Charlamagne
- 15:16Speaker 1: fucked with it heavy, like Havein has been a big
- 15:18Speaker 1: part in just like a lot of what's been happening.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Haven's great man. Are you working with Hovain? Yeah, Covain's
- 15:24Speaker 1: the best. I've been knowing Hovein since uh early Troy
- 15:27Speaker 1: Ave days early or I was one of the bigger
- 15:31Speaker 1: uh so I was probably the biggest supporter of triave
- 15:34Speaker 1: low key early on man and love. Yeah, and then
- 15:38Speaker 1: things got weird, and I really, you know, I didn't
- 15:40Speaker 1: really agree with the way I know Hoveain, and I
- 15:44Speaker 1: know he's a great guy, you know what I'm saying.
- 15:46Speaker 1: So when all that shit kind of transpired, I'm like, Bro,
- 15:49Speaker 1: like I've seen this guy hold you down. Bro, Havein's
- 15:53Speaker 1: good people though. That's dope, man, Yeah, I mean you
- 15:55Speaker 1: got a great guy behind you then, yeah, this great
- 15:58Speaker 1: guy And then also kind of like he's in New
- 16:01Speaker 1: York and you're in the Bays, Cannibal, both sides of
- 16:04Speaker 1: the country online right were touching both hands. And that's
- 16:07Speaker 1: the thing, like I feel like as a Bay Area artists,
- 16:10Speaker 1: like we don't often get that East Coast support and
- 16:13Speaker 1: a lot of my a lot of people who championed me,
- 16:16Speaker 1: like Early Wallow, Russ Meek Meal, all of them. You
- 16:19Speaker 1: feel me. They're on the East Coast, you feel me.
- 16:22Speaker 1: So it's like dope to have both sides kind of
- 16:24Speaker 1: supporting and getting behind them. Wallow so far man I
- 16:27Speaker 1: Love is my favorite podcast Wallowed someone Wallow supported like
- 16:33Speaker 1: very early and like pushing the line. And I end
- 16:36Speaker 1: up giving him a percent of some ship because it
- 16:38Speaker 1: really changed my life. You feel me and helped me,
- 16:40Speaker 1: and it's like things like that, but you give okay, okay,
- 16:43Speaker 1: so give me. So you gave Wallow percentage of what
- 16:48Speaker 1: a record? Yeah, a record exactly. I gave him a
- 16:51Speaker 1: percentage of a record because he like, really Wallow is
- 16:55Speaker 1: one of the reasons, like some shit really blew, like
- 16:58Speaker 1: everything changed. I was getting a call from every fucking
- 17:01Speaker 1: label in the world that morning, and I was like, bro, like,
- 17:04Speaker 1: you deserve a percent of you feel me. If I
- 17:07Speaker 1: was with a label, they would be taking hella, so
- 17:09Speaker 1: you feel me like I had to. It was an
- 17:11Speaker 1: easy call for me being able to break down a
- 17:15Speaker 1: part induce splitz. It's like it allows me to do
- 17:17Speaker 1: shit like that when niggas really come in and help

- 17:23Speaker 1: long term. In fucking ten years, I feel like I'll

- 18:42Speaker 1: What is a moment that you've had over the last
- 18:45Speaker 1: like five or six months where you kind of opened
- 18:48Speaker 1: your phone and saw and were like, oh what, this
- 18:50Speaker 1: is crazy, man, Like this person reposted my shit or
- 18:54Speaker 1: this person like my shit or this is crazy. Like
- 18:57Speaker 1: you know, I think we all kind of get that then,
- 19:00Speaker 1: know if I can say it. Yeah, but I've had
- 19:04Speaker 1: some big another big one that was like dope to me.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Mark Pitts had reached out. Mark Pitts is legend, legend,
- 19:12Speaker 1: biggie of course bro. So that was that was the
- 19:16Speaker 1: one that was like, damn, bro, this is insane. It's
- 19:18Speaker 1: really reaching you feel me, Like when you say the
- 19:21Speaker 1: other one you couldn't you can't talk about yet. Is
- 19:23Speaker 1: it because there's a collab coming or it's some it's
- 19:27Speaker 1: some crazy shitting the works? How crazy as crazy as like,
- 19:32Speaker 1: give me, give me an idea. Man, I'm gonna just
- 19:34Speaker 1: see if I can guess. Even if you guess, you
- 19:38Speaker 1: won't know. You feel me just crazy. So you and
- 19:41Speaker 1: Kendrick working together there it is Kendrick Lamar. Right, you
- 19:46Speaker 1: guys got a record on the l A Russell and
- 19:48Speaker 1: Kendrick Lamore all the way, all the way. You heard
- 19:53Speaker 1: it here you heard that's it's funny too because I
- 19:59Speaker 1: saw you he posted Joe button thing and I thought
- 20:02Speaker 1: that was so funny. Right, it was like obviously he
- 20:06Speaker 1: was talking about you. Right, Did you have any did
- 20:09Speaker 1: Joe Budden reach out to you at all? No, he didn't,
- 20:11Speaker 1: He didn't reach out. I actually have a fan of
- 20:14Speaker 1: mine hit me and was like, bro, I think he's
- 20:16Speaker 1: talking about He's got to be talking about, which is dope,
- 20:18Speaker 1: Like you feel me Like a lot of moments I
- 20:21Speaker 1: miss because I don't really be watching like pop, bro,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I'll be like working, like putting it together. You'd be busy, yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 1: like they sent me and was like he's definitely talking
- 20:29Speaker 1: about you, so I've seen it. I'm like, man, that's dope.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You feel me. I love Joe Budden, but just showing
- 20:34Speaker 1: the love that he did show in a very Joe
- 20:36Speaker 1: Button way. You feel me in a very Joe butddon way.
- 20:38Speaker 1: That a very Joe Button way you feel me. But
- 20:41Speaker 1: I know for him that that took a lot. You
- 20:43Speaker 1: feel me, So it's like that shit cool. And he's
- 20:46Speaker 1: not giving that coach sign to a lot of people,
- 20:48Speaker 1: you feel me? Who has been the I'm assuming what
- 20:55Speaker 1: we were talking off the camera. You've had a lot
- 20:56Speaker 1: of people trying to sign you obviously, right has been
- 21:00Speaker 1: like an artist that's tried to sign you yet Yeah, yeah,
- 21:05Speaker 1: we actually got got like a situation now from an
- 21:08Speaker 1: artist that's like really great, you feel something, you're considering
- 21:13Speaker 1: something I'm actually considering. Like he gave me a really
- 21:16Speaker 1: great offer to just like to stay independent and to
- 21:19Speaker 1: just be a part of something big, which is like
- 21:22Speaker 1: dope to me because he's someone who came in early
- 21:26Speaker 1: and was like, bro, I really want to help and
- 21:28Speaker 1: assist and we've been just trying to talk about ways
- 21:30Speaker 1: to do that, and like, bro, he really structured He
- 21:33Speaker 1: really gave me an opportunity to say, all right, what
- 21:36Speaker 1: do you want? You feel me? And I'm like, man,
- 21:38Speaker 1: this is what would helped me. And he's like, bro,
- 21:40Speaker 1: let's do it. You feel me is don't have to
- 21:43Speaker 1: don't have all the fucking major label bullshit that you
- 21:46Speaker 1: gotta deal with, Like it's an incredible deal, like bro,
- 21:50Speaker 1: And it came from an artist, which to me was
- 21:52Speaker 1: just like Bro, that is this an artist that has
- 21:55Speaker 1: a track record of you have any successful label? No, no,
- 22:00Speaker 1: he doesn't even have a label. This is an artist
- 22:02Speaker 1: who just has a track record of being successfully independent
- 22:07Speaker 1: and doing this ship and right now he's developing a label.
- 22:11Speaker 1: But it's not even about the label. It's just about, like, Bro,
- 22:14Speaker 1: I need to help damn. So what's it like working
- 22:17Speaker 1: with Russ? That's hilarious. It's gotta be Russ. It is
- 22:24Speaker 1: shout out, shout out Russ. So yeah, we got we
- 22:27Speaker 1: got some ship that we're considering. And just looking at him, man, Russ.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I always champion Russ and trying to give him his
- 22:34Speaker 1: flowers because like he literally is giving everyone, Like you know,
- 22:39Speaker 1: we were just talking about Wallow, but he's giving people
- 22:43Speaker 1: millions of dollars worth of game like Russ if it's
- 22:46Speaker 1: crazy because Russ is like like showing everyone the way, Bro,
- 22:50Speaker 1: and people are fucking weirdoer their haters or they you know,
- 22:53Speaker 1: they don't like the messenger of us. Russ is a
- 22:56Speaker 1: real nigga, Like I'm just gonna say it, Like Bro,
- 22:59Speaker 1: he's reported early and he told me early on like brou,
- 23:02Speaker 1: i'm'a i'm'a figure out a way how I can get
- 23:04Speaker 1: in an assistant. He really like held his in like
- 23:08Speaker 1: even with the offer, like Bro, a lot of offers
- 23:10Speaker 1: I got from labels, the first offers, like, Bro, are
- 23:13Speaker 1: you fucking kidding me? Like Brus stopped talking to me,
- 23:15Speaker 1: you feel me? Russ really came correct from the get go,
- 23:18Speaker 1: and he was like, look at it. Whatever you think
- 23:21Speaker 1: should be changed, let me know, Like I sent this
- 23:23Speaker 1: nigga long ass message of like I I don't really
- 23:25Speaker 1: feel He was like, all right, let's switch it all
- 23:27Speaker 1: you feel me? Like there was nothing that he wasn't
- 23:30Speaker 1: willing to do cause he's really like Bro, he gave
- 23:33Speaker 1: me a deal that is like very artist favorable as
- 23:37Speaker 1: he would like yo, like he does. He's gotta he's
- 23:40Speaker 1: gotta practice what he preaches, right man, Bro, And it's
- 23:43Speaker 1: incredible to see like an artist do it because I've
- 23:46Speaker 1: gotten offers from majors and it's like, Bro, are y'all
- 23:49Speaker 1: are y'all nuts? You feel me? So it's like, uh,
- 23:52Speaker 1: he's definitely just showed a lot of real love and
- 23:54Speaker 1: support and you could tell that he really fucks with
- 23:57Speaker 1: and it has passion because the offer reflects that. It's
- 24:01Speaker 1: easy for people to come in and say, oh, we
- 24:03Speaker 1: love what you're doing, we want to help him. This
- 24:04Speaker 1: is but you get an offer and it's like this
- 24:06Speaker 1: don't look like what y'all to me, Like this shit
- 24:09Speaker 1: really looked like what he told me. And it's funny.
- 24:10Speaker 1: On the phone I told him, I said, Bro, everything
- 24:13Speaker 1: sounds amazing on this phone. I don't want to get
- 24:15Speaker 1: a contract, and now I don't understand what we're talking about.
- 24:19Speaker 1: You feel me so like I'm somebody I don't believe
- 24:22Speaker 1: all that music industry shit. Ha fifty pays contracts, Like, Bro,
- 24:25Speaker 1: that shit is dead. If I'm talking to you right
- 24:28Speaker 1: now and I understand everything, then I get a contract
- 24:30Speaker 1: and now I'm confused, something wrong. I don't even want
- 24:33Speaker 1: to look at it, bro, Like well, The thing with
- 24:35Speaker 1: Russ is like he always preaches that right, like you
- 24:37Speaker 1: shouldn't you know. I feel like he's just giving everyone
- 24:40Speaker 1: the way. It's like, Yo, you should never pay a
- 24:42Speaker 1: lawyer ten percent, like you should never give it, like
- 24:44Speaker 1: you should never give up this much just for people
- 24:46Speaker 1: to hit uplook, Like all these things are like man, bro, Bro,
- 24:50Speaker 1: what's crazy is I'm waiting for Drake to listen to
- 24:52Speaker 1: Russ and just go independent and break the whole fucking industry. Bro.
- 24:56Speaker 1: And he needs to. But Drake is also someone who
- 24:59Speaker 1: like doesn't need to be independent because like Republic run
- 25:03Speaker 1: him that stupid running that bag, Like why wouldn't you
- 25:09Speaker 1: he could? He would break the record industry if he
- 25:12Speaker 1: went independent, I think, because I don't think and no
- 25:16Speaker 1: one's ever really like at that level said I'm going independent.
- 25:20Speaker 1: I mean, it's the biggest artist in the world. Like, well,
- 25:22Speaker 1: I wonder what Kendrick's about to do, like with it
- 25:25Speaker 1: being that this is the last album, Like I'm sure
- 25:28Speaker 1: he'll go indie after Like it just wouldn't make any sense. Well,
- 25:31Speaker 1: I know that Baby Kim is on him and Dave
- 25:34Speaker 1: Free's label and they're coming through Colombia Sony. So I'd
- 25:42Speaker 1: only assume if Kendrick is going to I mean, I
- 25:45Speaker 1: don't know. I'm just assuming at this point though, right
- 25:48Speaker 1: because Drake not unders over at Warner, right, but Drake's Republic.
- 25:55Speaker 1: But yeah, but Kendrick's labels over I think at Columbia
- 25:58Speaker 1: or at least Baby kim Is. So I don't know.
- 26:01Speaker 1: If Kendrick goes independent, it'd be fucking insane, insane. Don't
- 26:06Speaker 1: any of them if any of them do it, you
- 26:08Speaker 1: feel me, it'd be like that'd be like one of
- 26:10Speaker 1: those three guys, you know, like Kendrick Cole or Drake,
- 26:13Speaker 1: one of the three. Yeah, one of those three goes
- 26:15Speaker 1: to India. So it's it's it's like gonna just expose
- 26:19Speaker 1: what I mean, what Russ has been saying this whole time.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Brou And Russ's genius, bro, like he knows for sure.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I wish you do a podcast or something, man, like
- 26:30Speaker 1: once a month, did you hit him? He'll do it.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I just think he did a podcast, even it was
- 26:34Speaker 1: once a month because his interviews. Man, you can watch
- 26:37Speaker 1: a Russ interview and come away like, damn, I'm inspired.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I got some game ownership just the way man, it's like, Bro,
- 26:46Speaker 1: that's dope though, So you're so are you going to
- 26:49Speaker 1: be like working with him releasing music together? Man? We
- 26:54Speaker 1: have we got some ship in the works. And then
- 26:56Speaker 1: you're just like, man, he's just been like a good
- 26:58Speaker 1: just help figure whatever. Like if I reach out, like
- 27:01Speaker 1: I could literally call him whenever, and if he brings
- 27:04Speaker 1: you on tour, that'd be confusing. Flyer, Man, that'd be
- 27:07Speaker 1: a crazy flyer. We look like hiding playing Russell Hell
- 27:13Speaker 1: Russell right now, that'd be fire though. I mean you guys,
- 27:18Speaker 1: assuming you guys got you guys got some unreleased music together. Man,
- 27:22Speaker 1: we got we Man, you got a project with him?
- 27:27Speaker 1: Who knows ep? Who knows? Man? That choump ep was crazy? Man? Right, Man,
- 27:32Speaker 1: hopefully he puts me on Chomp too. Russell. You see this,
- 27:36Speaker 1: hey man, you fit the bill right. I want him
- 27:38Speaker 1: to do like because I know he like self produces everything.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I would love for us to just go like tapping
- 27:44Speaker 1: with the Alchemists for like that ten records, just do
- 27:47Speaker 1: like a whole like if he does Chomp, just do
- 27:49Speaker 1: with one producer and it be like a legendary like
- 27:53Speaker 1: late like Alchemists or even like Harry fraud or some
- 27:57Speaker 1: shit like that. This ship would be crazy. So talk
- 28:00Speaker 1: about your relationship Marlon seven and your relationship with Tope.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Who's here come man? Shout out Top Man Portland in
- 28:09Speaker 1: a building? Man Portland in a building? How did you
- 28:13Speaker 1: do heroin in Portland? And they they ain't tripping Portland
- 28:18Speaker 1: in a building? Smoke crack on the corner, go ahead.
- 28:20Speaker 1: That was just I just met Top this year, like
- 28:24Speaker 1: in fucking February or something like pretty recently. I had Yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 1: I had did a live session for an artist named
- 28:31Speaker 1: Lucky and Toad produced to beat, so I had to
- 28:35Speaker 1: send him a split and I'm like, hey, bros, some
- 28:36Speaker 1: bread coming here? This is that right? And he ended
- 28:39Speaker 1: up hitting me on Twitter and was like, bro, I'm
- 28:41Speaker 1: really trying to work with the Russell this. I just
- 28:44Speaker 1: d M him. I'm like, let's get it because I
- 28:45Speaker 1: had I told myself last year at the end of
- 28:48Speaker 1: last year, I'm like, I'm gonna try to collaborate more
- 28:50Speaker 1: because I didn't work with people for like the first
- 28:53Speaker 1: two three years, right, I just stuck within my team,
- 28:57Speaker 1: So I'm like, let me try to collaborate more. So
- 28:58Speaker 1: he pulled up. We did like three or four that
- 29:01Speaker 1: first day in like two and a half three hours,
- 29:04Speaker 1: right just knocked him out and I told him, I'm like, bro,
- 29:07Speaker 1: I want to make a soundtrack for my bike rides.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I had started biking last year a lot, just like
- 29:12Speaker 1: going everywhere. I'm like, I need a soundtrack. A lot
- 29:14Speaker 1: of people did during the pandemic. Pandemic. Man, it was
- 29:18Speaker 1: out man, Me and the homies all got bikes and
- 29:20Speaker 1: we was really just mobbing. So I was like, I
- 29:22Speaker 1: want a soundtrack for my bike rides because like that's
- 29:25Speaker 1: why I really listened to my ship. And man, he
- 29:27Speaker 1: just came with the wops and it's like he's from Portland,
- 29:30Speaker 1: but he's got the Bay sound like it just felt
- 29:33Speaker 1: and it's not even just I feel like like right, yeah, right,
- 29:39Speaker 1: you feel me so, but it was it was fresh.
- 29:41Speaker 1: And Marlin seven is the name of the bike I bought.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I had ended up like going through a couple of
- 29:45Speaker 1: bikes and I ended up getting one which is Marlin seven,
- 29:48Speaker 1: which I love. The track wants to sponsor me and
- 29:50Speaker 1: send me one right man for certain, like I've really
- 29:56Speaker 1: given the game. But yeah, we end up doing Marlin seven.
- 29:59Speaker 1: And I was getting like hella, like just a couple
- 30:02Speaker 1: of months ago, like we've been holding it for a
- 30:04Speaker 1: few months. It's been done, and I'm like, man, it's
- 30:07Speaker 1: just I got away for the right time, and I
- 30:09Speaker 1: got like really colluded with everything because I start kind
- 30:11Speaker 1: of blowing up. Just one day, I was like, fuck
- 30:13Speaker 1: this shit, we need to just drop it, Like, let's
- 30:16Speaker 1: just drop this shit. And we dropped it and it
- 30:17Speaker 1: did his thing. Like, Bro, it's already over two hundred
- 30:20Speaker 1: thousand streams only been out a couple of weeks. Like
- 30:24Speaker 1: it did his thing. Yeah, I think like too. People
- 30:29Speaker 1: don't do that shit no more, bro, And that's why
- 30:31Speaker 1: I think it's been hard about like someone like Freddy
- 30:34Speaker 1: Gibbs doing like doing shit with Mad Live. I mean
- 30:36Speaker 1: he did that in twenty fourteen for the first time,
- 30:38Speaker 1: like Alfredo last year, like just full collaborations when it
- 30:43Speaker 1: comes to production and the artists like it always to me,
- 30:46Speaker 1: breeds the best projects, the best bodies of work, because
- 30:48Speaker 1: it's all it's like a cohesive thing, you know what
- 30:50Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like that's just missing everybody. So and I
- 30:53Speaker 1: get the single game, but like everything everybody so like
- 30:56Speaker 1: they feel like they put an album out, they gotta
- 30:58Speaker 1: have I gotta have a song for the girls. I
- 30:59Speaker 1: gotta have club record, I gotta have a radio record.
- 31:01Speaker 1: I gotta do you know what I mean that it's like, bro,
- 31:03Speaker 1: just put out something that you can press play on. Oh,
- 31:05Speaker 1: we just make dope shit and it's like, bro, we
- 31:08Speaker 1: run it. And that's how I'm doing. Like all of
- 31:09Speaker 1: my projects, like all of my next projects are like
- 31:12Speaker 1: with a specific producer and we kind of just did
- 31:15Speaker 1: it topped the bottom because I like the cohesion as well.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Looked at you, I mean, what who would you say
- 31:22Speaker 1: is your biggest influence as at MC, Like if you
- 31:25Speaker 1: had a pinpoint one person where you're like, yo, man,
- 31:28Speaker 1: I probably can contribute the most of my style. What
- 31:31Speaker 1: kind of what inspired me to this one person? Early
- 31:35Speaker 1: on Kanye and probably later down the line, early on
- 31:40Speaker 1: Kanye mid Ja, Hole and Kendrick and later like Drake
- 31:44Speaker 1: you feel Me and then like now Hole, like every
- 31:49Speaker 1: time Hove does something, I'm like very inspired and like, man,
- 31:52Speaker 1: when I got older, I finally like listened to Whole
- 31:56Speaker 1: like as a kid, like to the actual was and
- 32:00Speaker 1: I'm just like what the fuck, Like it's just different,
- 32:03Speaker 1: but yeah, I mean them, Like for sure, Kanye is
- 32:06Speaker 1: the reason. Like I started making beats. I had seen
- 32:09Speaker 1: a video on YouTube and like fucking around on the
- 32:11Speaker 1: NPC when I was a kid, and I just started.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I'm like, man, I want to make beats. They're making
- 32:15Speaker 1: beats rapping. That's why a lot of my songs like
- 32:18Speaker 1: I'm Always You hear like little comedic you know type,
- 32:21Speaker 1: because like Kanye's influence on me, it was heavy and
- 32:24Speaker 1: Kanye's I was just telling the HOMEO. I was like,
- 32:26Speaker 1: Kanye's probably my favorite artist ever. Bro. I was not
- 32:30Speaker 1: a I was not a fan of jesus Is King,
- 32:32Speaker 1: but I love Donda. I think Ya's got the type points. Man.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I had ghost Rooms and listen to Ya and ghosts.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Ghost Town is one of my favorite songs ever. I
- 32:43Speaker 1: think it might be the best Kanye song. It's like
- 32:45Speaker 1: top five, top ten Kanye song ever. Man. It was
- 32:47Speaker 1: on a come down from a stream trip and I
- 32:50Speaker 1: played ghost Town and I was driving and it was like, Bro,
- 32:54Speaker 1: I just felt like Evan. I was like, Bro, how
- 32:57Speaker 1: the fuck do you make some shit? Like? You know?
- 32:59Speaker 1: It's crazy? Too? Was like the disrespect that Kitsy ghost
- 33:02Speaker 1: kits when people talk about like I think Kitsy Ghosts
- 33:06Speaker 1: is like I got it in my probably my top
- 33:09Speaker 1: five or six Kanye projects. Like that Ship. I feel
- 33:12Speaker 1: like people were just kind of off Yea at the time,
- 33:14Speaker 1: so they don't really like give yet they don't give
- 33:16Speaker 1: that album Yay enough love and and the kitsy Ghosts,
- 33:22Speaker 1: bro Born, Reborn or what? Yeah? Man, what's your favorite
- 33:26Speaker 1: Kanye album? Uh? Probably College Dropout fair enough? Yeah, And
- 33:33Speaker 1: I mean because I graduated beautiful late Register. I mean
- 33:38Speaker 1: my favorite late Registration. But I think the best might
- 33:41Speaker 1: be drop Out because like All Falls Down is like
- 33:44Speaker 1: the greatest song in the world to me. Like that
- 33:46Speaker 1: ship really changed. Like I just remember being a kid
- 33:49Speaker 1: rapping in front to back in the in the back
- 33:52Speaker 1: seat like you know, word for word. Yeah, and yeah,
- 33:55Speaker 1: that ship really skits every like that's what. Oh, the
- 33:58Speaker 1: skits were amazing. The skits were amazing. Kanye brought skits
- 34:02Speaker 1: Like that's the thing is like I wish you would
- 34:04Speaker 1: like get like we ain't gotten great Kanye skits for
- 34:06Speaker 1: how long? For a minute? Bro, He's not the same
- 34:09Speaker 1: Kanye mane, what do you think of Donda different? You
- 34:13Speaker 1: know what's funny? So like as as like the more
- 34:17Speaker 1: I grow, it's like Kanye's like just repport like slowly
- 34:21Speaker 1: comes down to me. I did. Donda was the first
- 34:23Speaker 1: project of his. I didn't rush too, didn't rush to it,
- 34:27Speaker 1: you feel me. And I started listening and I was like,
- 34:31Speaker 1: I'm not loving it, so I gotta really sit down again,
- 34:33Speaker 1: and yeah, there's some dope shit on there. I think
- 34:36Speaker 1: that I felt started to feel the same way about
- 34:38Speaker 1: Ya though. Yeah it hurt me. Yeah, It's almost like
- 34:42Speaker 1: I used to be like so excited for Kanye to drop,
- 34:44Speaker 1: and now I'm like, I mean, hopefully this shit don't suck. Bro.
- 34:50Speaker 1: That is funny, right, But that's how it feels now,
- 34:55Speaker 1: which just like crazy, you know. I think that moment
- 34:57Speaker 1: for me was the Scoop DIY Poop record. That's funny.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I was like, ah nah, but Kanye is just that
- 35:03Speaker 1: He's still that guide in me for sure, Like it's
- 35:06Speaker 1: just he's that guy. But yeah, it's just like it's slowly,
- 35:10Speaker 1: just slowly, like you know, as you grow you start
- 35:12Speaker 1: to see people. There's some good ship on Donda though. Man,
- 35:15Speaker 1: there's some good ship on Donda. I was not a
- 35:17Speaker 1: fan of Jesus King in any capacity. There were some
- 35:19Speaker 1: ill beats on their shot the bugs, but yeah, you're atheist.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Yeah I am. I'm atheist, but I am atheist. That's
- 35:29Speaker 1: also probably why I didn't because I felt like, I
- 35:32Speaker 1: love Jesus, Jesus walks right, but I just feel like
- 35:35Speaker 1: even Donna's there's a lot of God talk on there,
- 35:39Speaker 1: but it isn't like it doesn't feel like force down
- 35:42Speaker 1: your fucking throat the Jesus is King ship with all
- 35:46Speaker 1: the like live choirs, Jesus as your Lord and save
- 35:49Speaker 1: it right, Bro, this is a lot like this is
- 35:53Speaker 1: a lot like from somebody who was like a diehard
- 35:56Speaker 1: Kanye fan in the every fucking tour, I was like, bro,
- 36:00Speaker 1: this is just this. This is the first time I've
- 36:01Speaker 1: ever heard of Kanye album. I'm like, this ship literally
- 36:04Speaker 1: isn't for me. Man Demons was getting into him. Boy Nah,
- 36:10Speaker 1: I mean yeah I didn't. I didn't really with Jesus
- 36:12Speaker 1: King either, Like I mean, I just I just feel
- 36:15Speaker 1: like I don't wont to Grammy for Best Gospel Album.
- 36:18Speaker 1: So there's that, you know. I mean it's Kanye. Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 1: they don't even know who else made a gospel album
- 36:24Speaker 1: that year. Like that's why, Yeah, I love yay Man.
- 36:28Speaker 1: I hope I hope. You know, I kind of like
- 36:31Speaker 1: I always hear like that. You know, you'll hear like
- 36:36Speaker 1: people talk about music he's working on and like even
- 36:39Speaker 1: think about Donda, right, like how long this album was
- 36:42Speaker 1: supposed to be a thing, Like there's I just feel like,
- 36:46Speaker 1: depending on where he is at the time, I think
- 36:47Speaker 1: this is why we probably got something way better than Donna,
- 36:50Speaker 1: because he I feel like he kind of got a
- 36:52Speaker 1: chip on the shoulder. He's single, he's working out, and
- 36:54Speaker 1: ship lost weight as motherfuckers, Like you know, I fuck
- 36:58Speaker 1: with Donda. It was definitely, Uh, it was refreshing for
- 37:02Speaker 1: me to enjoy a Kanye album, to be honest, you
- 37:04Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Yeah, you know Plussy fucked up
- 37:08Speaker 1: that NAS album. You know the EPW about how you
- 37:10Speaker 1: fucking fumbling nask Well, I heard the NAS Kanye shit.
- 37:14Speaker 1: I'm like, this has got to be a classic. That
- 37:16Speaker 1: ship was mid bro. But during that same run there
- 37:20Speaker 1: was Daytona, which is one of my favorite albums ever.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Shout out to push your t Yeah, so uh listen,
- 37:27Speaker 1: go check you out online. For people who don't know,
- 37:29Speaker 1: Good Company is the YouTube channel, right, that's your company.
- 37:34Speaker 1: This is obviously a multifaceted platform. Right, So are you
- 37:39Speaker 1: like sign an artist? Are you no? So we don't
- 37:42Speaker 1: sign nobody, but we do everything that someone who would
- 37:45Speaker 1: sign them do and we don't. We don't sign. We
- 37:48Speaker 1: just like we just split it up. We divvy the pie.
- 37:50Speaker 1: It's like, bro, we just want to what we work on.
- 37:53Speaker 1: We invest in artists, we helped create content and use
- 37:56Speaker 1: all of our people to help, and it's write songs. Yeah,
- 37:59Speaker 1: I mean it sounds fair to me. Sign no one,
- 38:02Speaker 1: Like I'm big on Like I don't want to own
- 38:04Speaker 1: nobody's ship and I don't want to be responsible for
- 38:06Speaker 1: nobody ship, and I don't like commitments, like if I'm
- 38:08Speaker 1: not fucking with it, I want to just be able
- 38:09Speaker 1: to wash your hands and walk away. We did our
- 38:11Speaker 1: thing that was great and that's it, you feel me.
- 38:14Speaker 1: So that's kind of how we built the company, just
- 38:17Speaker 1: being like what an artist fucking needs? You feel me?
- 38:21Speaker 1: Like an artist just needs help sometimes they don't need
- 38:23Speaker 1: to be committed for four albums, need some assistance, you
- 38:27Speaker 1: feel me? So there it is, man, we look go
- 38:30Speaker 1: follow them online, Go get Marlin seven, go stream it up.
