- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are, last break of the day.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Thank you all for joining us every single day. We
- 0:06Speaker 1: can't thank you enough. Steve, please close us out with
- 0:10Speaker 1: some great.
- 0:11Speaker 2: My closing remarks today is gonna be encouraging. I want
- 0:16Speaker 2: to remind all of us, myself included, all of you
- 0:21Speaker 2: that this life we have, this life is ours. The
- 0:26Speaker 2: progress that we've made as a people is ours. Look,
- 0:32Speaker 2: we've overcome a lot since we've been in this country.
- 0:37Speaker 2: This country owes us a lot. This country's not gonna
- 0:41Speaker 2: give us what they owe us, but this country owes us.
- 0:45Speaker 2: You know, this country was built on the backs of
- 0:48Speaker 2: our ancestors. That's how this country was built. The bulk
- 0:53Speaker 2: of the wealth that America possesses today was because of
- 0:56Speaker 2: the free labor that was acquired doing slavery. I mean
- 1:03Speaker 2: the food industry, the tobacco industry, and I can go
- 1:07Speaker 2: on and on and on the money that was made
- 1:09Speaker 2: from that that spond other businesses. It can go on
- 1:13Speaker 2: and on and on, fruit, cotton, clothing, wheels, at everything.
- 1:23Speaker 2: All these companies you see now who come from rich families.
- 1:27Speaker 2: That lineage started from getting rich off the backs of slavery.
- 1:31Speaker 2: So I got that So what I'm saying to all
- 1:35Speaker 2: of us is this, we are not going to sit
- 1:38Speaker 2: here and allow any one, any one person, any one administration,
- 1:45Speaker 2: any group of people in a booklet called Project twenty
- 1:48Speaker 2: twenty five, and we're not going to sit here and
- 1:51Speaker 2: allow them to dictate to us how we live, how
- 1:56Speaker 2: our children live, how our grandchildren live. We're not gonna
- 1:59Speaker 2: do that. If you think that we're gonna just get
- 2:03Speaker 2: pushed to the side and go away quietly, you have
- 2:06Speaker 2: another thing coming. We are more resilient than that. As
- 2:11Speaker 2: a matter of fact, we are some of the most
- 2:14Speaker 2: resilient people that I know, because I don't know how
- 2:18Speaker 2: after all that we've been through, that we managed to
- 2:21Speaker 2: somehow get here. I mean, you know, we really deserve
- 2:25Speaker 2: some credit for that. We really really do. And at
- 2:29Speaker 2: all that I personally had to go through, I would
- 2:31Speaker 2: not trade a day of being black for anything else,
- 2:35Speaker 2: nothing else. It has been one of my most most
- 2:39Speaker 2: just one of my most proudish accomplishments. Somebody asked me
- 2:42Speaker 2: the other day I was doing an interview out the country,
- 2:45Speaker 2: and they said, what are you most proud of? And
- 2:49Speaker 2: it led into a whole other conversation. I said, but
- 2:52Speaker 2: I'm most proud that coming from America, that I accomplished
- 2:56Speaker 2: what I accomplished as a black person. I am the
- 2:59Speaker 2: most proud of having accomplished what I've accomplished as a
- 3:03Speaker 2: black person. The guy whose interview wasn't black. He said,
- 3:07Speaker 2: you sound like that takes more. That's extra. Oh, it
- 3:10Speaker 2: takes a whole lot more. It takes more than I
- 3:16Speaker 2: care to tell you. I could tell you how much more,
- 3:19Speaker 2: but you really wouldn't believe it. So I'm really really
- 3:22Speaker 2: proud of that. I'm also thankful at the same time
- 3:26Speaker 2: that there are lots, millions and millions of non people
- 3:31Speaker 2: of color, non blacks, who will at least acknowledge what
- 3:36Speaker 2: has happened and will join in with us to help
- 3:40Speaker 2: rectify some of this. There are those out there who
- 3:43Speaker 2: are willing to help, and I appreciate that. I get it.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I'm not. This is not black people against all of America,
- 3:51Speaker 2: but we are against a system of systematic racism and injustice,
- 3:57Speaker 2: and it goes on and on and on. You can
- 3:59Speaker 2: look at the sentencing that's passed down. Do you know
- 4:02Speaker 2: we have more men in prison, more black men in
- 4:04Speaker 2: prison today than we had in slavery? Do you know
- 4:08Speaker 2: that at any one point, we have more black men
- 4:13Speaker 2: in prison today than we did in slavery. And you
- 4:16Speaker 2: know why, because the ju judicial system is set up
- 4:19Speaker 2: to put us in prison. Because listen to me, when
- 4:23Speaker 2: they come with these chargers, if you don't have the
- 4:26Speaker 2: lawyer to fight the chargers, they have a plea deal
- 4:30Speaker 2: for you. And the plea deal, because you know you
- 4:34Speaker 2: don't have the money for the lawyer, means if you
- 4:36Speaker 2: go to trial, you could get life, but you could
- 4:40Speaker 2: take this plea deal and take this thirty five and
- 4:42Speaker 2: go on over there and keep living. Do you know
- 4:44Speaker 2: how many people are in prison because of that? You
- 4:47Speaker 2: don't think that that's systematically set up to go that way.
- 4:51Speaker 2: You don't think that they put these people in prisons
- 4:53Speaker 2: because of that system that they use, that system that
- 4:57Speaker 2: prosecutors build careers based on on conviction rates, and they
- 5:02Speaker 2: know how to get a conviction because they'll give you
- 5:04Speaker 2: a lesser. I've seen listen, man, I was watching four
- 5:08Speaker 2: to eight hours. One time, they had so little evidence
- 5:11Speaker 2: on this guy. They had accused this guy of murdering someone.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Do you know that they couldn't put enough circumstantial evidence together?
- 5:18Speaker 2: But the kid couldn't take a chance and go to
- 5:20Speaker 2: prison that he took a He took a plea deal
- 5:23Speaker 2: second degree manslaughter and did five years for something he
- 5:26Speaker 2: ain't even do. He did five years for something he
- 5:29Speaker 2: didn't even do. You know how many men are in
- 5:31Speaker 2: prison doing some time for something they didn't even do
- 5:34Speaker 2: because the judicial system is set up that way, And
- 5:37Speaker 2: you know, it's just an exhausting thing. But we got
- 5:40Speaker 2: to be proud, and we're not gonna go about quietly.
- 5:43Speaker 2: We are going to vote. We are going to put
- 5:47Speaker 2: a stop to this unchecked imbalance of power. We're going
- 5:52Speaker 2: to put a stop to this egotistical maniac, this narcissist
- 5:58Speaker 2: of a human being who makes everything about him. How
- 6:03Speaker 2: petty can you be? And hold the why do you
- 6:05Speaker 2: have time? He couldn't even let Taylor Swift get married
- 6:11Speaker 2: last week without jumping in that posting stuff about that.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Who got time? You and I haven't posted one thing
- 6:19Speaker 2: this first time. I'd have mentioned the girl getting married,
- 6:23Speaker 2: just my life. I know he got more things to do.
- 6:27Speaker 2: So y'all just put ourselves together, patch yourself on the back,
- 6:30Speaker 2: get ready to go to the polls. We're gonna put
- 6:32Speaker 2: a stop to this Okay, you ain't gonna keep running
- 6:35Speaker 2: the same game, y'all. Enjoy yourself today. Talk to God.
- 6:38Speaker 2: He'd absolutely love to hear from him.
