- 1:11Speaker 1: This is a podcast.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Called 25 Whistles. Talking football and they all wear a whistle. Yeah,
- 1:17Speaker 3: it's stupid, but what did you expect?
- 1:21Speaker 2: It's a podcast called 25 Whistles.
- 1:23Speaker 4: 25 Whistles.
- 1:25Speaker 1: All right, hit it. Thank you. There's a guy. He
- 1:30Speaker 1: was offered $ 57, 000 for his sperm. Nice. And he ended
- 1:35Speaker 1: up getting conned out of almost a quarter million dollars instead.
- 1:40Speaker 3: So he gave them the sperm, just didn't get paid?
- 1:43Speaker 3: How does this work?
- 1:43Speaker 1: Well, this works in ways like when someone says, hey,
- 1:46Speaker 1: we want you to be a model, but you got
- 1:48Speaker 1: to go pay for headshots. And it's all a scam
- 1:51Speaker 1: type thing. So this guy in his 70s lost about $ 240, 000.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I know, 70s. After someone he met online offered roughly
- 2:00Speaker 1: $ 57, 000 for a semen, police say he was put in
- 2:04Speaker 1: touch with people posing as the woman's lawyers who wanted
- 2:08Speaker 1: his A-plus prime semen And demanded payments for paperwork and
- 2:13Speaker 1: then banking problems, telling him to buy prepaid electronic money cards.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 2:17Speaker 1: After purchasing 571 cards and paying about $ 240, 000, he then
- 2:22Speaker 1: consulted with a real lawyer who said this is a scam.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And it's very similar to romance fraud. Yeah. So I
- 2:29Speaker 1: call you. I'm like, Eddie, let me get that nut.
- 2:31Speaker 3: And then you go.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You got it.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Flip it.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Yeah. And it's like, I'm going to give you $ 57, 000. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And then you go.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Uh, sure.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I'm saying, but before we do this, the legal fees
- 2:43Speaker 1: have to be paid. So, uh, there's a $ 4, 000 and
- 2:47Speaker 1: then you just start paying.
- 2:49Speaker 3: But see, that's where I go. Oh, I guess I'm out, man.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I really don't want to give you that and pay.
- 2:54Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 2:55Speaker 1: I think a lot of people probably do that, but
- 2:58Speaker 1: this guy didn't.
- 2:59Speaker 4: That's, but if you're in your seventies and you're like, dang,
- 3:01Speaker 4: somebody still wants my goods.
- 3:02Speaker 1: That's a huge compliment.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 3:05Speaker 3: No, no, they don't want to have sex with you.
- 3:07Speaker 3: They just want your seat. Yes.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 1: But still, you're making all this money from it.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah. I just feel so bad for older people that
- 3:19Speaker 3: fall for these because, like, they have no idea. Oh,
- 3:24Speaker 3: and this is money that they've worked hard their whole
- 3:26Speaker 3: life to save up for, you know? And, like, it's
- 3:28Speaker 3: all gone with a scam.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It's from SoraNews24. Anyway, I want to talk to you
- 3:32Speaker 1: later about that. No, I'm going to get it from you.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Okay, we'll talk off mic.
- 3:37Speaker 1: How's everybody doing?
- 3:38Speaker 3: Good, man. Good. It's a new week.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I swear to God, if the Cowboys lose, dude, I'm
- 3:42Speaker 1: going to be pissed. It's you now that I'm pissed at.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Don't even bring it up, dude. I just said I
- 3:46Speaker 3: was in a good mood.
- 3:49Speaker 1: But they can't lose this one.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Dude, if they lose this one, I'm burning all my
- 3:53Speaker 3: Cowboys stuff.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It's Cowboys at Eagles or versus Eagles?
- 3:58Speaker 3: Are they in Philly? They're in Philly, but I mean.
- 4:00Speaker 1: The Cowboys are a four and a half point favorite
- 4:01Speaker 1: on the road.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Is there still a stadium in Philly?
- 4:05Speaker 4: There is.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Is that still there?
- 4:07Speaker 1: There is. They can't.
- 4:08Speaker 3: They can't. No, dude, we cannot lose this game.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You have made this personal.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I agree. I agree. But so if they win this week.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Does that just.
- 4:19Speaker 1: There we go.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Are we back?
- 4:21Speaker 1: We're back, baby.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Does that turn things around for the Cowboys?
- 4:24Speaker 1: No, but we're not still going the wrong direction.
- 4:28Speaker 4: That hat's been sitting there for a few weeks now.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I haven't been able to wear it at all.
- 4:30Speaker 3: It's getting dust on it.
- 4:31Speaker 4: It really is.
- 4:33Speaker 1: U2' s playing the halftime show for the Thanksgiving Netflix game.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Love it. Interesting.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I don't think people care.
- 4:39Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 4:40Speaker 1: I don't think U2 is 5% relevant. Relevant anymore.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Okay, they're not relevant, but you still know that music.
- 4:49Speaker 3: You still know With or Without You. If they get
- 4:52Speaker 3: up and play only the new record, that'll be the worst.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Can you imagine if you two were to get up
- 4:56Speaker 3: on Netflix and play just whatever new music? That would
- 4:58Speaker 3: be the worst.
- 4:58Speaker 4: And then send it to our phones.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 5:00Speaker 3: And we all own it.
- 5:02Speaker 1: It's forced in our Netflix, so we have to watch
- 5:04Speaker 1: their special. I like you two.
- 5:06Speaker 3: It sounds like you don't.
- 5:07Speaker 1: No, I like you two, and I liked you two both.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But if you said pick 100... to play the NFL
- 5:16Speaker 1: halftime for the Thanksgiving, YouTube wouldn't come up.
- 5:19Speaker 3: But if they go on tour, man, they sell the
- 5:22Speaker 3: whole tour out.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yes.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Stadiums.
- 5:24Speaker 1: With people who are getting into their 401k for the
- 5:27Speaker 1: first time. They're allowed it.
- 5:28Speaker 3: But those people are also watching the game too.
- 5:31Speaker 1: But again, those people are going to be watching the
- 5:32Speaker 1: game anyway. I always feel like something when people are
- 5:35Speaker 1: forced to be there. I don't know. I like YouTube.
- 5:39Speaker 1: When I read it, I thought, who said no?
- 5:41Speaker 4: Well, and the NFL is really trying to reach a
- 5:44Speaker 4: younger audience, and this doesn't do it.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And Netflix is a younger audience vehicle.
- 5:48Speaker 3: But they're also trying to reach a global audience, and
- 5:51Speaker 3: U2 is a global band.
- 5:53Speaker 1: U2 was a global band.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Well, no, they're still from Ireland.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they were a global band.
- 5:59Speaker 4: There's still plenty more that are 20, 25 years younger,
- 6:02Speaker 4: more relevant now.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I like U2, but they're classic rock radio. And they're
- 6:07Speaker 1: not even one of the ones where you go, well,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I can't believe this was classic rock. He's been there
- 6:11Speaker 1: for a while.
- 6:12Speaker 3: So let's talk about the business, though. So do they
- 6:14Speaker 3: get paid or do they pay?
- 6:16Speaker 1: So the Super Bowl halftime show, they don't get paid.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And you have to pay for it yourself. And mostly
- 6:21Speaker 1: it's like your label or whomever it is that's financing it.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I would imagine Netflix is paying them for this. Okay.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Because it's not a massive, massive look like the Super
- 6:30Speaker 1: Bowl halftime show is.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:32Speaker 1: The reason they can do that is because you have
- 6:36Speaker 1: more eyeballs on you during that nine minutes, 11 minutes.
- 6:40Speaker 1: than at any other time you're going to have as
- 6:42Speaker 1: an artist. This, probably not the case.
- 6:44Speaker 3: And did you say the Thanksgiving or Christmas?
- 6:46Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Eve NFL game.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It's in LA.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Got it. So that's not the Cowboys one.
- 6:51Speaker 1: No, because that's Thanksgiving, right? Yeah. This one is the
- 6:54Speaker 1: Packers and the Rams at SoFi.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Good game.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Hollywood Reporter. So we went to Los Angeles, and this
- 7:02Speaker 1: is when I was going over there to fill in
- 7:04Speaker 1: for Rich Eisen, and we did the Bobbycast with Dolph Lundgren,
- 7:07Speaker 1: who was the Russian in Rocky IV. And we were
- 7:10Speaker 1: staying at an Airbnb. And if you've heard part of
- 7:12Speaker 1: this story before, please indulge me and listen to it again.
- 7:17Speaker 1: So we go and we had some issues with flight
- 7:20Speaker 1: over there and we had to grab other flights and
- 7:22Speaker 1: another airline, like super quick with like an hour left.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And we, we, we go, some of the crew gets
- 7:27Speaker 1: left behind because we were going to shoot multiple Bobby
- 7:29Speaker 1: casts in the Airbnb that I rented. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 7:36Speaker 1: So that's how we've done it every time. We have
- 7:39Speaker 1: our whole setup. People come to the Airbnb. We shoot them.
- 7:42Speaker 1: One out. Next one in. Can't do that now because
- 7:46Speaker 1: we can't get the whole crew on the flight out
- 7:47Speaker 1: to LA. So it's me, Brandon, Morgan, and we're off.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And so we're going over and Morgan goes, why don't
- 7:54Speaker 1: we book a studio for podcasts in LA? I never
- 7:57Speaker 1: thought about that before. I see people doing it, but
- 7:59Speaker 1: I was like, we're in a studio for podcasting? It
- 8:01Speaker 1: ain't my equipment. I don't know if it's going to
- 8:02Speaker 1: be good. We get over there. It ends up being great.
- 8:04Speaker 1: And I'll never take all the equipment again and put
- 8:08Speaker 1: it in an Airbnb and shoot it like we did
- 8:09Speaker 1: because we were a full film crew rolling over. Four
- 8:13Speaker 1: big cameras, multiple guys, an hour and a half set up, lights,
- 8:16Speaker 1: all that. We don't do that this time. Out of necessity,
- 8:20Speaker 1: we reserved a room and it was solid B plus
- 8:23Speaker 1: and we only got the one room that was available.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Like if we had some time, we could find a
- 8:27Speaker 1: really fantastic place.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Where was this, Hollywood? I don't know. Just somewhere in LA?
- 8:32Speaker 1: It was somewhere close to where we were. And it
- 8:35Speaker 1: was in the back of a yogurt shop. You walk in,
- 8:38Speaker 1: there's no studio. It's a fro-yo, full fro-yo. And you're going, well,
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm not right on the address. And you walk out
- 8:45Speaker 1: and you look at the doors. No, that's a furniture store. No,
- 8:48Speaker 1: that's a weed store. Do you guys know where the
- 8:51Speaker 1: podcast studio is? Yeah, just go to the back door.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Did you have to go through the store or around
- 8:58Speaker 3: the back?
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yes, through the store.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Wow.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So you go through the Froyo store, and it's like
- 9:02Speaker 1: those flopping doors at the grocery store.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. The parlor doors.
- 9:05Speaker 1: You walk through them, and you get to the back,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and it opens up, and there's some stairs to go up,
- 9:11Speaker 1: and there were like four podcast rooms up there.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Wow.
- 9:13Speaker 1: That's cool. So we get up there, and the air
- 9:16Speaker 1: didn't work. Again, beggars can't be choosers. And I'm glad
- 9:20Speaker 1: we did this because we learned it's so much more
- 9:22Speaker 1: efficient to do it this way than the way we
- 9:24Speaker 1: were doing it. So we get up, do the podcast.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Ahmad and I record some stuff. Dolph Lundgren comes by.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I do Rich Eisen's show. It was really a productive
- 9:35Speaker 1: couple of days in Los Angeles. Now, when I was
- 9:38Speaker 1: reserving the Airbnb, I don't really let expense keep me
- 9:47Speaker 1: from Pick in the most comfortable place. Okay. I picked
- 9:51Speaker 1: a place that had just a great picture of the outside.
- 9:54Speaker 1: It has a pool in the backyard. Yes. Open layout
- 9:58Speaker 1: for all the cameras. And I picked, and it was expensive.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It was like $ 2, 600 a night.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Dang.
- 10:07Speaker 1: For this Airbnb.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Big home? Decent size?
- 10:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Decent size. And so we're rolling up to it. We're like,
- 10:15Speaker 1: all right, let's go. Stuff hasn't worked out our way,
- 10:18Speaker 1: but we're about to be ball in a penthouse or
- 10:23Speaker 1: a Fresh Prince mansion pulling up to Bel Air and
- 10:26Speaker 1: so we're getting closer to it and all I'm looking
- 10:28Speaker 1: around and seeing is a bunch of houses with bars
- 10:29Speaker 1: on their windows and I'm like okay how are we
- 10:33Speaker 1: two minutes away and every house has bars on their
- 10:35Speaker 1: windows like are we right at the edge of from
- 10:38Speaker 1: hardcore to nice yeah yeah yeah and we must be
- 10:41Speaker 1: right on the edge right on the edge where it
- 10:42Speaker 1: gets real nice okay we're one minute away there are
- 10:45Speaker 1: still bars on every single house's window And so we
- 10:50Speaker 1: see the house, but there are still bars on every
- 10:54Speaker 1: window around the house. And the house, well, you know,
- 10:56Speaker 1: wasn't quite what I expected it to be. But then
- 10:58Speaker 1: I wondered, why was this house so expensive? Because the
- 11:01Speaker 1: pictures look good. By the way, I think the house
- 11:04Speaker 1: was in Inglewood. Oh. Oh.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Is that nice, Kevin?
- 11:07Speaker 1: No.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Okay, it's not.
- 11:09Speaker 4: No, you don't want to go to Englewood.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Oh, I've heard that in Compton.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Englewood.
- 11:12Speaker 3: It was literally right around the corner from.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So that's my point. That's how I know about SoFi
- 11:18Speaker 1: and where it is. Yep. And that's why the house
- 11:20Speaker 1: was so expensive. There was an exhibition football game happening.
- 11:22Speaker 1: And because it was a walking distance from SoFi, I
- 11:25Speaker 1: just assumed because it was expensive and because the pictures
- 11:28Speaker 1: look good, that it was a legitimate house. No, we
- 11:30Speaker 1: happened to be right next to SoFi Stadium. And the
- 11:33Speaker 1: reason it was marked up so much is because there
- 11:35Speaker 1: was a game. So we're in basically a drug den.
- 11:38Speaker 3: But what about the pool? And was there a pool
- 11:40Speaker 3: there and all the stuff in the picture? You could
- 11:42Speaker 3: call it that. Oh, no.
- 11:44Speaker 1: You know what those backyard pools in California are like?
- 11:46Speaker 3: There's a hole in the ground.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's blue. But it's water. And so it
- 11:52Speaker 1: was a really weird weekend because we were in an
- 11:55Speaker 1: unsafe neighborhood. I was so confused at why it cost
- 11:57Speaker 1: that much until I saw SoFi. And that's why it
- 11:59Speaker 1: cost that much. And then we kept seeing people walk
- 12:01Speaker 1: by and somebody was like, I think that person's a Crip.
- 12:03Speaker 1: And I was like, no, that's actually a Rams jersey.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Yes, it happens to be blue.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Dude, we played Englewood when I was in third grade
- 12:10Speaker 4: playing Pop Warner and it was like the most scared
- 12:12Speaker 4: I've ever been in my life just because their parents
- 12:14Speaker 4: alone are like, oh, my kid's going.
- 12:16Speaker 1: To kill you.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, that's not good.
- 12:18Speaker 1: So not a great area. We learned a lot that trip.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I did specifically. And we only got that house anyway
- 12:23Speaker 1: because it was close to where Rich Eisen's studio was
- 12:26Speaker 1: because it's not like I've Spent years in LA, but
- 12:30Speaker 1: I've lived there for a few months at a time.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I'm there a lot. It's really difficult to get around
- 12:35Speaker 1: when it's getting around time. Once 8 a.m. hits, 7.30 hits,
- 12:40Speaker 1: it's miserable. Oh, yeah. Up until 2.30, and then at
- 12:43Speaker 1: about 3.45, it's back to sucking again.
- 12:46Speaker 3: That 4.05, man.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Okay, you're just saying stinking hard.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Yeah, that 10, it'll get you.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:53Speaker 3: So I didn't realize that SoFi, I mean, every time
- 12:57Speaker 3: they show it on TV, it looks like it's open.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Right by the airport.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Oh, is it?
- 13:00Speaker 4: I never knew that. Yeah, it's not in a great area.
- 13:02Speaker 3: It looks like there's a pond by there.
- 13:05Speaker 1: But what great area is near the airport? Generally speaking.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Like in any city?
- 13:10Speaker 4: Good point. I'm trying to think even here.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Nashville.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Nashville. So our buddy Steve went to the Packers game
- 13:16Speaker 3: last week and I was talking to him and he
- 13:18Speaker 3: said that all those houses around Lambeau are no longer owned.
- 13:24Speaker 3: They're all Airbnbs. that they rent out for people going
- 13:27Speaker 3: to the games.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Isn't there a one house though, right on the edge
- 13:29Speaker 1: of the property that they refuse to sell?
- 13:31Speaker 4: I feel like they did a story on that a
- 13:32Speaker 4: couple of years ago.
- 13:33Speaker 3: One house.
- 13:33Speaker 1: There's one house that they refuse to sell.
- 13:36Speaker 3: He said too, that like all the houses, yes, they
- 13:39Speaker 3: charge for parking or whatever. You can park in the yard,
- 13:42Speaker 3: the grass, whatever. But some of them have even set
- 13:44Speaker 3: it up to where if you want to pay a
- 13:46Speaker 3: little extra, there's an open bar for a tailgate. There's
- 13:49Speaker 3: some food. We're barbecuing in the back. Your ticket includes
- 13:52Speaker 3: some barbecue, like all this kind of stuff that they're
- 13:54Speaker 3: doing at those houses.
- 13:57Speaker 1: That seems to be a fun one to go to.
- 13:58Speaker 1: It's just probably hard to get to.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 4: How close is the airport?
- 14:03Speaker 1: Well, you probably fly into Milwaukee.
- 14:06Speaker 3: And that's not super close, right?
- 14:07Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a private or a small regional Green
- 14:10Speaker 1: Bay airport. But on a game weekend, I bet it's impossible.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And then also you probably just fly to Milwaukee and
- 14:16Speaker 1: drive the hour and a half. I'm assuming it's an
- 14:17Speaker 1: hour and a half to Green Bay. It's about that.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Okay.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Have you done it? Depending on traffic, it's about that.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Have you done it?
- 14:26Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You've been to a game?
- 14:28Speaker 4: I've never been to a game. I've been to Green Bay, though.
- 14:30Speaker 1: To play music? Yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 3: So Green Bay.
- 14:33Speaker 4: At Lambeau?
- 14:34Speaker 1: No.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Okay. So Green Bay itself as a town, like small town.
- 14:39Speaker 3: So the players, they live in Green Bay? Possibly.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I would think, yeah, probably. Unless it's like they're full-time
- 14:49Speaker 1: residents and they probably live in Milwaukee. I don't know.
- 14:52Speaker 1: That's got to be a tough draw. Nobody wants to
- 14:53Speaker 1: drive an hour and a half from Milwaukee, but there's
- 14:54Speaker 1: probably suburbs in Milwaukee that are 30, 45 minutes away. Okay.
- 14:57Speaker 1: And there's probably some places... I would think there's probably
- 15:00Speaker 1: team-owned housing that players can also stay in. If I'm
- 15:05Speaker 1: just speculating.
- 15:06Speaker 4: It says younger players are required to stay at the
- 15:08Speaker 4: team hotel the night before the games because a lot
- 15:12Speaker 4: of them will live farther out.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 15:14Speaker 4: That's interesting.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yeah, because I mean... I would think like, oh, yeah,
- 15:18Speaker 3: I got drafted by the Packers. This is awesome. Now
- 15:20Speaker 3: I live in Green Bay.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I would think that way about Buffalo. Oh, yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Cleveland.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I've never been to Cleveland.
- 15:27Speaker 3: I feel like Buffalo's got a pretty good scene, right?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Mine is always cold weather.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Sucks.
- 15:32Speaker 1: And it's not a major metropolitan area. So no disrespect
- 15:38Speaker 1: to any of them. When you get drafted, you want
- 15:41Speaker 1: to go play in New York, L.A., Chicago.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Yeah, cool cities.
- 15:44Speaker 1: You want to play in Miami. Miami. All the resources
- 15:47Speaker 1: are there.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Yep.
- 15:48Speaker 1: It'd be difficult to go and play in... Cleveland's a
- 15:53Speaker 1: pretty big city, but the weather would really... And also,
- 15:55Speaker 1: the organization blows. Like, they historically are a bad organization. Yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Cincinnati, we went there. It looked nice.
- 16:02Speaker 3: It was a quick trip for us.
- 16:03Speaker 1: The problem with Cincinnati, again, is a cheap organization.
- 16:06Speaker 2: True.
- 16:07Speaker 1: And I like the Bengals, but it's one of the
- 16:08Speaker 1: smaller markets. Yeah. Cincinnati is. But if you're... Okay, imagine this.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And I love the city, so I'm not crapping on
- 16:15Speaker 1: the city. except for this example. Imagine you get drafted
- 16:19Speaker 1: in the NB freaking A.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Let's go, baby.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Okay. Oh, if the Knicks pick me, this is going
- 16:23Speaker 1: to be awesome. Oh, the Knicks didn't pick me. Okay.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I'm really feeling good. Come on, Heat. Come on. Oh,
- 16:26Speaker 1: they passed on me too. All right. Next up. God dang.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I got to play for Oklahoma City. Yeah.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Hey, Sacramento. Yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I mean, Oklahoma City is smaller than Sacramento.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Just towns that you think of like, wow, that's one.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Probably not much going on there.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Yeah. I've been to Sacramento. I actually liked Sacramento. It,
- 16:45Speaker 1: I've been to Oklahoma City a lot because of family
- 16:48Speaker 1: in the College World Series. I haven't been to Sacramento
- 16:50Speaker 1: like Kevin has. I've played Sacramento and done like stand
- 16:52Speaker 1: up there.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And it felt at, it's the capital is why it
- 16:57Speaker 1: feels like a, like a something. Yeah.
- 17:00Speaker 4: But you would never like think it'd be the capital
- 17:02Speaker 4: of California.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Bad organization too.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Very bad.
- 17:04Speaker 3: But you know what? In the NBA, I think people
- 17:07Speaker 3: like think like, oh, I got drafted by San Antonio.
- 17:09Speaker 3: This is going to suck.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:11Speaker 3: People love San Antonio.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but people do, but most don't want to go
- 17:14Speaker 1: to San Antonio. Most don't stay in San Antonio unless
- 17:17Speaker 1: they're a lifelong Spur and they're known as a Spur.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Okay, that's what I was going to say.
- 17:21Speaker 4: He was just about to say, look at Tony Barker.
- 17:23Speaker 3: I was just going to say, look at David Robinson,
- 17:26Speaker 3: Tim Duncan, Manu Janot. They're all still there because they
- 17:29Speaker 3: love San Antonio.
- 17:30Speaker 1: They won a bunch of championships. They're super celebrated there,
- 17:32Speaker 1: but you don't see people who play for like four years.
- 17:35Speaker 1: stay in San Antonio.
- 17:35Speaker 3: They're not doing it right, dude. Riverwalk, Dick's Last Resort. Oh, yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 1: You ain't seen somebody walk around with a cool hat
- 17:41Speaker 1: on until you've been Riverwalk seeing people with the Dick's hat.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Is that the one where they make fun of you?
- 17:44Speaker 1: Yeah. They're right on the big chef hat.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Yeah. I think I went to one of those one time.
- 17:49Speaker 4: I can't remember where.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I don't want people to think I'm crapping on these
- 17:52Speaker 1: towns because they're not small towns compared to where I'm from,
- 17:54Speaker 1: but I can imagine getting drafted and thinking I'm going
- 17:58Speaker 1: to one of the big, really, I don't even want
- 18:03Speaker 1: to say cool because some of these Like, San Antonio's
- 18:05Speaker 1: cool to me. But if I were like a basketball
- 18:08Speaker 1: player that was a really good high school player in Florida,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and I get drafted, my 20th pick is going to
- 18:15Speaker 1: be San Antonio, Oklahoma City, or Sacramento.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Memphis, bad. But then if you get drafted to New York, right,
- 18:23Speaker 3: and you're on a rookie contract, it's what?
- 18:26Speaker 1: What sport are we talking about?
- 18:27Speaker 3: Say football. 300, what is it, 300,000? What's the rookie contract?
- 18:31Speaker 4: It depends on what round you're drafted.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Okay. So say, yeah, you're like, you make $ 200, 000 a year.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Okay. That's. And New York.
- 18:39Speaker 4: I think the minimum is like 350.
- 18:42Speaker 1: And then you're talking sixth, seventh round.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Okay. But then you're, but you got drafted by New
- 18:46Speaker 3: York and you're living in Jersey, right?
- 18:49Speaker 1: Yeah. But you also have a lot of opportunity in
- 18:50Speaker 1: New York because there are, again, there's a lot of
- 18:54Speaker 1: social media companies, businesses, agencies.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Oh, right, right, right.
- 18:59Speaker 1: There's a lot. ways to make extra money if you're
- 19:02Speaker 1: in one of those cities.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Like a Scataboo. I mean, he got drafted earlier than
- 19:06Speaker 4: like the seventh round, but he's in every commercial right
- 19:08Speaker 4: now because he's in New York.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I think your algorithm shows you different commercials.
- 19:12Speaker 4: You don't see him all over?
- 19:13Speaker 3: He's got a dog commercial.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I haven't seen a single Scataboo commercial. Although, where would
- 19:17Speaker 1: I see commercials? I started when I.
- 19:19Speaker 4: During the games?
- 19:21Speaker 3: We watch Red Zone for the most part.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Always.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Unless the Cowboys are playing.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Red Zone or occasionally I'll pop over and... get into
- 19:30Speaker 1: a single game if it's third or fourth quarter. I've
- 19:33Speaker 1: never seen one.
- 19:33Speaker 3: I think the only time I've seen is when it's
- 19:36Speaker 3: like a Thursday night, Sunday night, and that's the only
- 19:39Speaker 3: game I'm watching.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I'm not denying they exist. I just haven't seen any.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen them.
- 19:42Speaker 4: It's like one of those things, now you're going to
- 19:43Speaker 4: see it everywhere.
- 19:44Speaker 1: He's won a giant. That helps a lot. Yeah. And
- 19:48Speaker 1: also he's pretty marketable because he's kind of a moron. Yes.
- 19:53Speaker 1: He also got no carries last week. I know.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Now it's going to start to go downhill. And people,
- 19:56Speaker 4: those companies are like, ooh, we invested.
- 19:58Speaker 3: A little early.
- 19:59Speaker 1: He got no carries and they cut Najee.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, dang.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Who are they now? Yeah. Bo Jackson.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Nice.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Nice.
- 20:08Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 20:08Speaker 1: He really plays for Ohio State. That's awesome. Christian Okoye.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Met him one time.
- 20:15Speaker 1: The Super Bowl will feature an alternative Star Wars themed broadcast.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I saw that the little guys, the little animated guys,
- 20:22Speaker 3: they promoted that. And I actually said, that looks cool.
- 20:27Speaker 4: How long will you watch that?
- 20:28Speaker 3: No, not very long. And I've seen the Simpsons ones.
- 20:31Speaker 1: That was cool.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it was cool. But you're right, dude.
- 20:34Speaker 4: The SpongeBob ones.
- 20:35Speaker 3: 10 minutes tops, 15 minutes, and then I'm like, I
- 20:37Speaker 3: got to watch the other game.
- 20:38Speaker 1: With the other ones, I could be wrong. I don't
- 20:40Speaker 1: remember them being during a Super Bowl. I watched them
- 20:42Speaker 1: on random games.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Oh, good point.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And then they did the Nickelodeon slime. They did the
- 20:48Speaker 1: kids version. I like all of that. It's kind of
- 20:50Speaker 1: weird it's for a Super Bowl, but it's on Disney +,
- 20:51Speaker 1: so it makes sense. And ABC has it. Hey, how
- 20:54Speaker 1: about the Joe Buck Troy Aikman beef?
- 20:58Speaker 3: Do they really not like each other? Are they really feuding?
- 21:00Speaker 1: What do you know about the story?
- 21:01Speaker 3: Just that Troy's contract is up and they don't know
- 21:06Speaker 3: if they're going to renew it.
- 21:07Speaker 1: So they're not renewing it. Okay. So this is what
- 21:10Speaker 1: I know. I read a few articles about it. And
- 21:12Speaker 1: if there's anything that's broken, Kevin, let me know. So
- 21:16Speaker 1: Joe Buck signed basically a new deal worth $ 100 million. Also,
- 21:21Speaker 1: Joe Buck and Troy may have been together for 25 years.
- 21:23Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Now, they didn't come in together, but they came in
- 21:26Speaker 1: near together. Actually, Troy Aikman was signed first before Joe
- 21:29Speaker 1: Buck came over, but they've been together for 25 years. Wow.
- 21:32Speaker 1: So Joe Buck signs a $ 100 million plus deal. They
- 21:36Speaker 1: don't tell Troy Aikman about it. And I believe they're
- 21:39Speaker 1: both at the same agency. And from what I have heard,
- 21:44Speaker 1: because I think they're both CAA, they kept it from
- 21:48Speaker 1: Troy Aikman. Joe Buck signs the deal. Troy Aikman finds
- 21:54Speaker 1: out about it. and it's not upset that Joe got
- 21:56Speaker 1: the deal. Like everybody get theirs, but it's like, why
- 21:59Speaker 1: would you keep it from me and not tell me?
- 22:02Speaker 1: And it looks like ESPN didn't want Troy to stay
- 22:07Speaker 1: or didn't want to give him an equal contract. And
- 22:10Speaker 1: he's upset. He wasn't at least knowledgeable of the process.
- 22:12Speaker 1: So he could use that to his advantage as well.
- 22:14Speaker 1: And so now he's out.
- 22:16Speaker 3: So they are not renewing.
- 22:17Speaker 1: They almost got into a fistfight. Yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Uh, Troy and Joe. Yes.
- 22:22Speaker 1: And it wouldn't have been much of one.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Yeah, Troy would have killed him. Troy's a huge guy.
- 22:26Speaker 4: He's in great shape still.
- 22:29Speaker 3: I mean, I would have loved to see that fight,
- 22:31Speaker 3: but yeah. That's terrible.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So they're going to split up, and now apparently Joe
- 22:35Speaker 1: Buck wants to work with, well, if he leaves.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Aikman or Buck?
- 22:41Speaker 1: If, no, sorry. Joe Buck wants to work with, if
- 22:44Speaker 1: he leaves, the Panther side in.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Oh, Greg Olson.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Greg Olson, thank you, yeah. Who doesn't want to work
- 22:50Speaker 1: with Greg Olson?
- 22:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to work with him.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Okay. It's not an option, Kevin. So, question. Why is
- 22:58Speaker 3: Troy mad at Joe if this was a company thing?
- 23:02Speaker 1: Because they purposefully kept it from Joe. No, from Troy. Oh,
- 23:06Speaker 1: my God, my name's not next.
- 23:08Speaker 3: I followed you.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Because according to what I've read, they purposefully kept it
- 23:13Speaker 1: from Troy. They wanted to get the deal fully done.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Without even negotiating as, hey, we've been together a long time.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Can we not do this together?
- 23:22Speaker 3: Yeah. But when you say they, I'm assuming it's ESPN, right?
- 23:27Speaker 3: That's the company. And the agency. They're like, this is
- 23:32Speaker 3: their thing to keep it away from Troy so we
- 23:35Speaker 3: can figure this out.
- 23:36Speaker 1: And Troy works for ESPN. ESPN and I believe is
- 23:38Speaker 1: also the same agency.
- 23:39Speaker 3: The same agency. So I'd be pissed at ESPN and
- 23:42Speaker 3: the agency, not so much at Joe. I don't want
- 23:45Speaker 3: to fist fight Joe.
- 23:46Speaker 1: But Joe has worked with you for 25 years and
- 23:48Speaker 1: you've become very close and we're not friends like I
- 23:51Speaker 1: thought and you kept from me for months and months
- 23:53Speaker 1: of this negotiation when probably you've said the opposite.
- 23:57Speaker 3: But isn't that where you say like, this is business, man.
- 23:59Speaker 3: That has nothing to do with me.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And then you said, this is fist. It has nothing
- 24:02Speaker 1: to do with me.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Say hello to my fist.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I think there's probably personal hurt there. Like we've been
- 24:07Speaker 1: together for 25 years and you wouldn't share with me
- 24:10Speaker 1: that you were going through this process? Yeah. Because that
- 24:14Speaker 1: would have been advantageous for me in my process. Yeah.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Unless you knew that it would be not advantageous for me.
- 24:23Speaker 1: So that's why you kept it from me. Because you
- 24:24Speaker 1: knew you could actually get more. So I don't know.
- 24:28Speaker 3: And then did Joe Buck publicly say, I would like
- 24:30Speaker 3: to work with Greg Olson?
- 24:32Speaker 1: No, now it's just people speculating and people that work
- 24:34Speaker 1: at the agency. Okay.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Because I'm going to say, if he said that, then
- 24:37Speaker 3: he wanted Troy out of there.
- 24:39Speaker 1: He's not going to say that. Okay.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Yeah, you definitely can't say that yourself.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Did I not say anything that you read?
- 24:45Speaker 4: No, it's all there.
- 24:45Speaker 3: What a messy deal.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I was at CA for a long time.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I remember.
- 24:50Speaker 1: And they tried to screw me out of a Joe
- 24:51Speaker 1: Buck deal once too.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Remember they tried to get him in between us?
- 24:54Speaker 1: They wanted it to be me and Joe Buck. And
- 24:56Speaker 1: I said, nope, I demand Eddie get his $ 100 million.
- 24:58Speaker 1: So they fired us both.
- 24:59Speaker 3: And here we are.
- 25:05Speaker 1: And here we are. Dang. Bad news for Kevin. What?
- 25:11Speaker 1: Bad news for Kevin. What is it?
- 25:13Speaker 3: He sucks at Papa Shot?
- 25:14Speaker 1: No. Bad news for Kevin. On Sunday... Patrick Mahomes got
- 25:18Speaker 1: his 100th career win, beating the Chargers 22-6. That matches
- 25:22Speaker 1: Tom Brady as the fastest quarterback in NFL history to
- 25:24Speaker 1: hit 100 wins.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Okay, that wasn't horrible. I didn't know where that was going.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I feel like Kevin's less on Tom Brady now that
- 25:32Speaker 3: Tom Brady is... Oh, weirdo. And I got Drake May now.
- 25:36Speaker 1: He was fighting hard on the anti-Mahomes team because he
- 25:41Speaker 1: was pro-Tom Brady team. Yeah. So are you less Tom
- 25:45Speaker 1: Brady because Tom Brady... is wearing leather.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Has kind of changed on you a little bit.
- 25:51Speaker 4: When you put it like that a little bit but
- 25:53Speaker 4: no I always whenever I see clips of Brady on
- 25:55Speaker 4: my algorithm I'm like dang we forget we still forget
- 25:59Speaker 4: just how great he was and it's cool watching Mahomes
- 26:01Speaker 4: do all these crazy things Josh Allen do all these
- 26:03Speaker 4: crazy things but there was nobody like Tom Brady so
- 26:07Speaker 4: no I am full go Tom Brady till I die
- 26:11Speaker 4: but I like Drake May too and we got another
- 26:12Speaker 4: quarterback so that.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Helps do you think it drives Tom Brady crazy that
- 26:15Speaker 1: now you have Drake.
- 26:16Speaker 4: May It has to.
- 26:17Speaker 1: It has to.
- 26:18Speaker 4: His competitive nature.
- 26:19Speaker 1: You want to be the dude forever.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Forever.
- 26:21Speaker 4: I mean, it didn't even last five years, six years.
- 26:24Speaker 1: He hasn't won a Super Bowl. He hasn't won a
- 26:25Speaker 1: Super Bowl. Yeah. But I think it's nice if everybody
- 26:29Speaker 1: keeps sucking after you're gone. Like, that probably feels good. Like, man,
- 26:32Speaker 1: they just can't get it together.
- 26:33Speaker 4: It's like when your ex-girlfriend gets somebody uglier.
- 26:36Speaker 3: You're like, yeah, that's what I thought. Oh, TV leaves.
- 26:38Speaker 3: They ain't won in seven years.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Yes, exactly.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Football has a way of turning one game into a
- 26:43Speaker 1: full week of conversation. and DraftKings keeps you close to
- 26:47Speaker 1: all of it. The DraftKings Sports app is now live
- 26:50Speaker 1: in all 50 states. That means from Texas to California
- 26:53Speaker 1: to Florida, every fan is in on the excitement. Follow
- 26:55Speaker 1: the teams you love. Keep up with the biggest games
- 26:56Speaker 1: and experience the excitement of football all week long. No
- 26:59Speaker 1: matter which game you're watching, you're always connected with one app.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Big games this weekend. I can't say anything about Except
- 27:08Speaker 1: the games are awesome.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Just the games?
- 27:10Speaker 1: Yeah, the games are awesome.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I can say stuff later. We got Tennessee at South Carolina,
- 27:16Speaker 1: which is very interesting. That's a very interesting game. That
- 27:19Speaker 1: is a very interesting game, and I will tell you
- 27:21Speaker 1: why in a minute. Very interesting. LSU at Auburn. Ole
- 27:27Speaker 1: Miss at Texas. That game is a tournament game. Whomever
- 27:31Speaker 1: loses that will not be in the playoff. That would
- 27:34Speaker 1: be my, what I would say here.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Do or die.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Houston at Utah. That's where game day is. Really?
- 27:42Speaker 4: They're in Utah this week?
- 27:44Speaker 1: They're at that game. Is it not in Houston? You're
- 27:47Speaker 1: probably right. It's probably at Utah. But I know game
- 27:49Speaker 1: day is there. I just feel like game day has
- 27:50Speaker 1: been in Utah like 97 of the last 100 weeks.
- 27:52Speaker 3: They were just in BYU.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah.

- 28:59Speaker 1: Okay, a couple things to address. I do want to
- 29:01Speaker 1: get into a segment in a minute where we talk
- 29:04Speaker 1: about star NFL players that were zero star recruits and
- 29:08Speaker 1: star NFL players that were just barely two star recruits.
- 29:11Speaker 1: So we got that coming up in a second. However,
- 29:15Speaker 1: so the Titans have been real bad and they win
- 29:18Speaker 1: a game and then all of a sudden Jordan Elliott
- 29:20Speaker 1: goes out and gets a gun out of his car.
- 29:23Speaker 3: After a fight with a teammate.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Like.
- 29:27Speaker 3: What on earth? And they had to let him go?
- 29:28Speaker 1: He was one of the linemen. One of the good linemen.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Tennessee coach Robert Sala passionately defended Jordan Elliott's character
- 29:36Speaker 1: and said last week's gun-related incident involving the defensive lineman
- 29:38Speaker 1: was a call for help. more than a criminal act.
- 29:41Speaker 3: I can agree with that.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Yeah, he said some really great things.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I can agree with that. Sometimes people need good people
- 29:48Speaker 1: around them to put a mirror up and show them that, hey,
- 29:52Speaker 1: this is not the way to have success, especially if
- 29:55Speaker 1: they've never been surrounded or been in an environment where
- 29:57Speaker 1: people are actually expecting good. good, positive things from you. Wow, yeah.
- 30:04Speaker 1: So he confirmed that he attempted to retrieve a gun
- 30:07Speaker 1: from his car last Thursday. He said he had a
- 30:10Speaker 1: terrible lapse in judgment. I recognize this is a call
- 30:13Speaker 1: for help more than a criminal act. Yeah, I mean,
- 30:16Speaker 1: but he's out. It was a two-year, $ 8 million deal.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:19Speaker 1: So he's out now.
- 30:20Speaker 4: And he even said, Saul, I believe he said also,
- 30:23Speaker 4: if you get this guy, you're getting a great player.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Just tell him to leave the gun at home.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I just wonder. Let's say he goes out to his car.
- 30:31Speaker 1: He gets the gun. What was his plan then? Like, really,
- 30:34Speaker 1: what was his plan? I'd like to know. Was it
- 30:35Speaker 1: to come around and just threaten and say, I got
- 30:37Speaker 1: this gun, don't mess with me? Was it to shoot?
- 30:39Speaker 1: What was it?
- 30:40Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like you grab the gun because
- 30:42Speaker 3: you're ready to do something bad.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Nah, sometimes you grab a gun just so people will
- 30:46Speaker 1: respect you and shut up. You don't go in and shoot.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Yeah, like the Gilbert Arenas. Remember that?
- 30:51Speaker 3: The poker?
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah. I like to think that he's going to get
- 30:55Speaker 1: the gun to go, if you keep messing with me,
- 30:59Speaker 1: I'm packing.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Do we know what he did to him? What the
- 31:04Speaker 3: fight was about?
- 31:04Speaker 4: I haven't seen anything about that, no. I don't think
- 31:06Speaker 4: they're going to try to keep that in-house, I'm sure.
- 31:09Speaker 3: That's crazy, man.
- 31:14Speaker 1: That's a crazy one.
- 31:14Speaker 3: That's crazy when I saw that.
- 31:16Speaker 1: How's the house going?
- 31:18Speaker 4: It's going really good. Man, it's just a lot to unpack.
- 31:21Speaker 4: You guys know you all moved. It takes a while
- 31:24Speaker 4: to get there. You guys have or Eddie in particular,
- 31:29Speaker 4: has given me a lot of crap about not inviting
- 31:30Speaker 4: him to places. And I wanted this to be on
- 31:33Speaker 4: record that we are having a housewarming party.
- 31:36Speaker 1: When?
- 31:39Speaker 3: When and what's the address?
- 31:41Speaker 4: I'll send you the invite right now, Eddie.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Okay?
- 31:43Speaker 4: The whole crew is invited, but I wanted Eddie in
- 31:46Speaker 4: particular to know that this invite is coming right now
- 31:51Speaker 4: from me.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Okay?
- 31:53Speaker 4: And if you can't make it, Or if you don't come,
- 31:56Speaker 4: I should say.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Is this a threat?
- 31:57Speaker 4: And you can't give me.
- 31:59Speaker 3: He goes out to.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Get his gun from his truck.
- 32:01Speaker 3: What is happening, dude?
- 32:03Speaker 4: No, this is my invite to you.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Hey, first off, first off, take a breath.
- 32:06Speaker 3: You seem worked up. Relax. And then tell me what
- 32:10Speaker 3: you're going to say.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Okay, it's a Friendsgiving. It's happening next month. Here's the invite.
- 32:16Speaker 4: I just texted it to you.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Check it out.
- 32:17Speaker 4: Hey, if you can make it, man, I'd love to
- 32:18Speaker 4: have you.
- 32:19Speaker 3: All of you guys. Oh, wow.
- 32:20Speaker 4: Yeah, the whole whistles crew, but in particular Eddie.
- 32:22Speaker 3: So it's like Thanksgiving, but for friends before the actual holiday.
- 32:26Speaker 1: You've never heard the term Friendsgiving?
- 32:28Speaker 3: Man, I thought for a second, I thought he was
- 32:30Speaker 3: like saying like Festivus for the rest of us, you know,
- 32:32Speaker 3: like I didn't know it was a real thing.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Seinfeld reference. Yeah.
- 32:36Speaker 3: I didn't know that was a real thing. Okay, cool. Friendsgiving, fun.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Okay, Saturday.
- 32:41Speaker 4: Can you be there?
- 32:42Speaker 1: Put it in the calendar? I think he just wrote
- 32:43Speaker 1: Saturday on the top line of a website and didn't
- 32:46Speaker 1: actually put it in anything.
- 32:47Speaker 3: I think the time looks a little like something could
- 32:51Speaker 3: be going on.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Oh.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Just based on weeks past.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Of course.
- 32:55Speaker 3: But this is, we got some weeks to plan.
- 32:58Speaker 1: So generous.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 33:00Speaker 1: A couple things. So, a couple eliminators, I feel. Alabama
- 33:04Speaker 1: and Texas A & M. Alabama's a 14.5 point favorite.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Alabama can't lose. If they lose another game, especially Texas
- 33:10Speaker 1: A & M, I don't know, they might fire DeBoer
- 33:12Speaker 1: even though he's owed $ 70 million. And then Ole Miss
- 33:16Speaker 1: at Texas. Mike?
- 33:18Speaker 3: I think we're going to lose. I think we're free-falling
- 33:20Speaker 3: right now. Three losses in a row.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I think the loser of each of those games is
- 33:26Speaker 1: basically done. Having a hope for the playoff.
- 33:30Speaker 3: And then his coach on the hot seat?
- 33:33Speaker 1: I think the buyout for DeBoer is probably a little
- 33:36Speaker 1: too high, honestly. But I feel like there is no
- 33:39Speaker 1: buyout high enough to keep Texas from buying out Sark.
- 33:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:44Speaker 3: And they got money.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I mean, the buyout could be sacrifice a newborn baby,
- 33:47Speaker 1: and they're going to do that if they need to.
- 33:50Speaker 1: We'd kill Bevo. Mm-hmm. So, yeah, I'm not declaring it's
- 33:56Speaker 1: a Sark keeps his job game, but if they don't win,
- 33:59Speaker 1: it's going to be hard for Sark to keep his job.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Well, and it sucks because it's not an easy game. Like,
- 34:04Speaker 3: this is... Ole Miss is tricky. Like they could be really,
- 34:07Speaker 3: really good.
- 34:08Speaker 1: No, they're ranked number nine. They are really good. That's
- 34:10Speaker 1: not tricky. They're a top 10 team.
- 34:12Speaker 3: I understand that. So to put this pressure on a
- 34:14Speaker 3: game like this, because just because of where.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Both teams though.
- 34:17Speaker 3: I know, I know. But I'm thinking about Texas. Just
- 34:19Speaker 3: where it falls in the schedule. They've had this string
- 34:22Speaker 3: of these like bad losses that like this game, they
- 34:26Speaker 3: really could lose it. And they probably will lose it.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Your logic sometimes is surprising to me.
- 34:31Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 34:32Speaker 4: Can you tell he has kids that he talks to?
- 34:35Speaker 3: Now, what does that mean?
- 34:38Speaker 4: You just say stuff.
- 34:39Speaker 1: You just say stuff and you're not right and you
- 34:40Speaker 1: present it in a, okay, now look, here's the thing.
- 34:43Speaker 1: And also, you're just not right.
- 34:44Speaker 3: What do you mean I'm not right? It just sucks
- 34:47Speaker 3: that it comes down to this game because this game
- 34:50Speaker 3: is a tough one. Like, if they lost to Sam
- 34:55Speaker 3: Houston State right now, obviously that's a no-brainer, right?
- 34:58Speaker 1: But then don't lose to the teams that aren't good.
- 35:02Speaker 3: That already happened.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Right, right. But Florida's only pretty good. Right? Oklahoma.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I know.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Not good. I know. Like, they've put themselves into this
- 35:09Speaker 1: position that it's only coming down to this game because
- 35:11Speaker 1: they've gotten beat by lesser teams.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Well, then they ain't gonna win it.
- 35:15Speaker 1: I think they win this week.
- 35:16Speaker 4: You do?
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yeah. But if you looked at my DraftKings, you'd probably
- 35:22Speaker 1: bet against me. The only thing that I win is
- 35:25Speaker 1: when my AI tells me to do it. Everything else
- 35:26Speaker 1: I do, I have a bad losing record.
- 35:28Speaker 3: I know. My AI's been off a little bit, though.
- 35:30Speaker 3: But I haven't logged in, though.
- 35:32Speaker 1: My AI's been 8-3.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Pretty good.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Wow, that's really good.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 3: And did you thank it?
- 35:37Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I thanked it. I don't do a thank
- 35:39Speaker 1: you message by itself, waste of water, but I include
- 35:43Speaker 1: it in another message.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Like if I'm like, hey, let me know what you
- 35:47Speaker 1: got for the second round. By the way, thanks for
- 35:48Speaker 1: round one.
- 35:49Speaker 4: That's efficient.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 4: And they remember that.
- 35:51Speaker 3: That's efficient.
- 35:53Speaker 1: There's a guaranteed new champion as far as the World
- 35:56Speaker 1: Series goes. The Rays and the Brewers, the two teams
- 35:58Speaker 1: have never won at all before. Yeah.
- 36:02Speaker 4: I hope the Brewers win.
- 36:03Speaker 1: I hope the Brewers win, too.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Just Milwaukee seems cool.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and I regret all the stuff I said about
- 36:09Speaker 1: Green Bay, so I hope the Brewers win.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Just for the state?
- 36:12Speaker 1: It's never about the Packers. It's always about the small
- 36:16Speaker 1: market regardless, and the cold. Small market and cold boats
- 36:18Speaker 1: sounds terrible to me. The AP has been released for basketball.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Arkansas comes in at number 12. Oh. And they're so high,
- 36:27Speaker 1: Eddie would call them tricky.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Whoa. Do you think that that's low?
- 36:30Speaker 1: 12?
- 36:30Speaker 3: Yeah, a little bit. I think so, too.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I think we can win it all this year. When
- 36:38Speaker 1: have you ever heard me say that?
- 36:39Speaker 3: I was just going to say, what's coming next? Are
- 36:42Speaker 3: you like Ratatouille? You got someone talking in there? It's
- 36:45Speaker 3: not really you?
- 36:46Speaker 1: I think we can win it all this year.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Who's your studs?
- 36:52Speaker 1: We got a freshman kid who's like, depending on what
- 36:54Speaker 1: draft board you look at, is number one or two.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Jordan Smith. He's awesome. We got a kid from Russia.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Nice. He's going to hack and scam all the other teams.
- 37:05Speaker 3: I would assume he's your big man.
- 37:07Speaker 1: He's close to seven foot tall, but he doesn't play
- 37:09Speaker 1: as a big man.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Wow.
- 37:10Speaker 1: He plays as a bigger guy. He's not a five.
- 37:13Speaker 1: He plays as like a three or four.
- 37:14Speaker 3: No way.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Yeah. He played pro ball over there. Nice. He's like 19.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Because they play pro ball like 14 over there. Ilya Frolov.
- 37:24Speaker 1: That is not his name.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Is it not?
- 37:27Speaker 4: Okay.
- 37:27Speaker 3: Who's that?
- 37:28Speaker 4: Different Russian guy.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Dude, you just named a name? You just saw a
- 37:30Speaker 3: name on there?
- 37:31Speaker 1: Yakov Smirnoff. Vladimir Putin.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Who's the guy?
- 37:36Speaker 1: So they're ranked 12. The thing is, we have a
- 37:39Speaker 1: lot of freshmen. Yeah. Not all, though. And so we're
- 37:43Speaker 1: playing Gonzaga at Bud Walton on Saturday, I think. Wow.
- 37:49Speaker 1: As an exhibition game.
- 37:50Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Can't beat basketball already here.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I know. I know.
- 37:55Speaker 1: I need it like I'm in the desert needing water.
- 37:58Speaker 3: What do you need? You need an Arkansas win?
- 38:00Speaker 1: Wins.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm opposite. I'm like, I'm not ready.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Something positive. Yeah, you have a team that wins.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Yeah, your team's winning, dude.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I think I heard this morning they were folding up
- 38:08Speaker 1: the Arkansas football program just forever. It's terrible.
- 38:13Speaker 4: You guys won last week.
- 38:15Speaker 1: We did. Yeah. Against Vanderbilt, yes. We won. I'm not
- 38:18Speaker 1: even going to hate on it. We won.
- 38:22Speaker 4: And that's it?
- 38:22Speaker 3: Anything else you'd like to say? No.
- 38:24Speaker 1: It was awesome. We won. We're going to play. We're
- 38:26Speaker 1: off this week. We have Missouri next week. Oh, nice.
- 38:28Speaker 1: It's on Halloween night. It's a night game.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Ooh, spooky.
- 38:32Speaker 4: In Missouri or Arkansas?
- 38:33Speaker 1: In Arkansas.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Wow, that's cool.
- 38:34Speaker 4: Are you going to go?
- 38:34Speaker 3: It's Halloween. Can't go.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Why can't I not?
- 38:40Speaker 3: You have a daughter now. Trick or treat.
- 38:41Speaker 1: She's literally a baby.
- 38:43Speaker 3: You got to take her trick or treating.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I think we're going to do that on a different night.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Talk to your wife about this?
- 38:49Speaker 1: I think it was her idea. I don't know that
- 38:51Speaker 1: I'm going to Arkansas. I would like to. But if
- 38:54Speaker 1: I do have to spend the night, because it's impossible
- 38:56Speaker 1: to get out of there.
- 38:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:58Speaker 1: It's a small town in Fayetteville. It's impossible.
- 39:00Speaker 4: You can trick-or-treat there, right? You got a house there?
- 39:02Speaker 3: You can trick-or-treat in Arkansas.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Right there at the stadium. Do it. So, I don't know.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I'm considering it. I probably won't, but that's what's up. Football.
- 39:12Speaker 1: What I was mentioning earlier was South Carolina is a 2.5,
- 39:14Speaker 1: 2.5 point favorite over Tennessee.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Wow. Wow.
- 39:19Speaker 1: So, number 11, Tennessee at South Carolina. South Carolina minus 2.5.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Nope.
- 39:25Speaker 1: What?
- 39:25Speaker 4: Do they know something?
- 39:26Speaker 3: Of course.
- 39:27Speaker 1: They have to because this isn't even one of those.
- 39:30Speaker 1: lines because this is what Vegas does. They don't create
- 39:33Speaker 1: a line with them predicting the game. That's not what
- 39:35Speaker 1: they're doing. They're trying to pick a line that puts
- 39:37Speaker 1: people even on both sides. Some people go, man, Vegas
- 39:41Speaker 1: is really good at picking the score. Vegas isn't trying
- 39:42Speaker 1: to pick the score. Vegas is just trying to present
- 39:44Speaker 1: a line where it's 50% on one side, 50% on
- 39:46Speaker 1: the other. And then they get the VIG, the cut
- 39:49Speaker 1: of the bet. They don't care if they're close or not.
- 39:53Speaker 1: They just want it to be 50-50, very close on
- 39:54Speaker 1: both sides. This is one where they're kind of predicting
- 39:57Speaker 1: the score. Because everybody I know looks at it and goes, well,
- 40:01Speaker 1: that's the stupidest thing you've ever seen. How's the struggling
- 40:04Speaker 1: South Carolina team that has struggled pretty much the whole year,
- 40:07Speaker 1: how are they a 2.5, 2.5 point favorite against Tennessee,
- 40:11Speaker 1: number 11 Tennessee that just had a big win?
- 40:13Speaker 4: Yeah, and I know they're at home.
- 40:14Speaker 3: But dang. So how is Vegas picking these lines? Analytics, data, numbers,
- 40:20Speaker 3: like there's... All that. They have all that, right? So
- 40:24Speaker 3: when we ask AI, isn't that what AI is doing?
- 40:27Speaker 4: It gets quiet.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I don't understand your question.
- 40:31Speaker 3: So I'll repeat my question. So if Vegas picks their odds...
- 40:38Speaker 3: Based on data, numbers, and past statistics, whatever, home field advantage,
- 40:44Speaker 3: all that, right?
- 40:45Speaker 1: Also, they're picking it based on what they think the
- 40:46Speaker 1: public is going to be 50-50 on.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Okay, AI is not going to consider that. Because I'm
- 40:51Speaker 3: thinking AI, we ask AI to pick a lock. They're picking,
- 40:56Speaker 3: they're going through the numbers and the stats, and it
- 40:58Speaker 3: looks like after running all this data, it looks like
- 41:02Speaker 3: so-and-so is going to cover, or whatever. So I feel
- 41:05Speaker 3: like Using AI is pretty close to using that same
- 41:09Speaker 3: technology that the odds makers are using to create their lines.
- 41:14Speaker 1: But the odds makers aren't creating lines to get a
- 41:16Speaker 1: win for either team.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 41:18Speaker 1: They're literally just picking a line based on, again, what
- 41:20Speaker 1: they think half the population will go on this side
- 41:22Speaker 1: and half will go on the other side. It really
- 41:24Speaker 1: has nothing on the outcome of the game.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but dude, those lines are so close sometimes.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Not really.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Not really.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Occasionally.
- 41:30Speaker 3: I'd say a lot of times they're so close.
- 41:32Speaker 1: The only ones you remember are the ones that are close. Correct.
- 41:34Speaker 1: We've done this experiment before where we did like 15
- 41:38Speaker 1: lines and three of them were close. But man, you're like,
- 41:41Speaker 1: holy crap, can you believe? Tennessee and Texas played it.
- 41:45Speaker 1: They said two and it's minus two.
- 41:47Speaker 3: What's like you look at a line and it's like
- 41:49Speaker 3: minus one, right? Like how many games do you see
- 41:51Speaker 3: where it's like in football where it's like a one
- 41:53Speaker 3: point difference? And then sure enough, they miss an extra
- 41:56Speaker 3: point and it's a one point difference. That'd be a push. Crazy.
- 42:00Speaker 3: I know, but I'm saying that line is right there.
- 42:02Speaker 3: That one is a big difference.
- 42:03Speaker 1: That happens so rare. I know. We just remember the
- 42:06Speaker 1: times it does happen.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Or I bet so much that I see it a lot.
- 42:11Speaker 1: I don't know people that hit me up and be like,
- 42:12Speaker 1: can you believe Vegas missed on this line so much?
- 42:14Speaker 1: That never happens. Never.
- 42:15Speaker 3: I've never heard that.
- 42:16Speaker 4: I wish I heard that.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Yeah. All right.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Let's see. College games.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Let's see if there's anything I care about. Hey, Texas
- 42:25Speaker 1: three and a half point favorite at Ole Miss. Yeah,
- 42:27Speaker 1: that was another shot against Ole Miss at Texas. Yeah,
- 42:30Speaker 1: I think Texas wins. Just because they're going to drive
- 42:33Speaker 1: me crazy by surviving.
- 42:36Speaker 3: You want me to say it?
- 42:37Speaker 4: It's because of you.
- 42:38Speaker 1: What?
- 42:38Speaker 3: It's going to be a tricky game. Yeah, tricky.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Ole Miss is a tricky top 10 team.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Yeah, tricky.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Pretty good team.
- 42:44Speaker 1: NFL games, real quick. What's the best game? Bengals at
- 42:50Speaker 1: Ravens if Lamar plays.
- 42:53Speaker 3: What are they saying about that?
- 42:55Speaker 1: Look, he's on one of my fantasy teams. He wasn't
- 42:56Speaker 1: at practice on Wednesday, but I don't know. But if
- 43:01Speaker 1: it's only a one and a half point game, I
- 43:02Speaker 1: think right now they're probably predicting he's going to play.
- 43:05Speaker 4: Yeah, it still just says limited day today.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Another good game is probably the, I mean, Packers at
- 43:13Speaker 1: Lions seems pretty good now. Rams at Raiders just because
- 43:17Speaker 1: Rams have been sucking. Chiefs at Seahawks is the game
- 43:18Speaker 1: of the week. And then Cowboys at Eagles on Monday.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I wish it wasn't on Monday. I wish we could
- 43:22Speaker 1: play that thing earlier. I know.
- 43:23Speaker 3: Got to wait all week.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Why are they always going to put your games in
- 43:25Speaker 1: like primetime alone games?
- 43:26Speaker 3: Because people like to watch the Cowboys.
- 43:28Speaker 1: People like to watch them do what?
- 43:29Speaker 3: Well, now lose. Exactly. That's what we're doing. All right.

- 44:47Speaker 1: I did a deep dive on zero-star recruits. So these
- 44:50Speaker 1: are NFL guys that had no stars. Josh Allen, zero stars.
- 44:55Speaker 1: He was unrated out of Fireball High. He went to
- 44:59Speaker 1: Reedley College before Wyoming. So he didn't even have any offers.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Fireball High is the— No, no.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Oh, it's called Fireball.
- 45:06Speaker 3: Dude, that is the best name ever.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Fireball. Not Fireball. Oh, Firebowl. No, Fireball. B-A-U-G-H.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Oh, got it, got it, got it. That's still really cool, though.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Fireball High does sound like anime, though.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Yes, it does.
- 45:19Speaker 1: But zero stars. Cam Ward, zero stars.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Wow.
- 45:24Speaker 1: He began at Incarnate Word, then went to Liberty, then
- 45:30Speaker 1: maybe Liberty, then Washington State, then Miami. Did he do
- 45:34Speaker 1: four and four? Am I crazy to think he went
- 45:37Speaker 1: to Liberty?
- 45:37Speaker 4: I don't remember Liberty.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Maybe not. So he did go to Washington State though, right?
- 45:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Okay, before Miami. Cooper Cup. So he was an unranked
- 45:45Speaker 1: high school recruit who signed with Eastern Washington. Tucker Kraft,
- 45:48Speaker 1: the tight end. A zero-star recruit from nine-man football in
- 45:53Speaker 1: South Dakota.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Wow, that's amazing.
- 45:55Speaker 1: They weren't even playing 11-man football. They didn't have enough players.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Matt Collins, the wide receiver, unranked high school recruit, walked
- 46:01Speaker 1: on in North Carolina. And then Ramondre Stevenson. Is he zero?
- 46:06Speaker 1: Unranked out of high school. Later became a really high-rated
- 46:09Speaker 1: junior college prospect. Jeez. And so then went D1 after that.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Former NFL players. Zero stars. Antonio Brown. He was an
- 46:20Speaker 1: unranked high school quarterback before he went to Central Michigan.
- 46:23Speaker 3: No way.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Julian Edelman. A zero prospect wide receiver before junior college.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Later was rated, but as a JUCO quarterback. Because then
- 46:33Speaker 1: he went to Kent State. Yeah. believe so yep and
- 46:36Speaker 1: then malcolm butler got two patriots on this unranked at
- 46:38Speaker 1: a high school all kinds of remandre and yeah a
- 46:41Speaker 1: lot of patriots here and then so i dug deeper
- 46:43Speaker 1: and i said don't just give me the zero stars
- 46:47Speaker 1: give me two stars because there are a lot of
- 46:49Speaker 1: three stars that make it obviously a lot of four
- 46:52Speaker 1: and a lot of five so here are some two-star
- 46:55Speaker 1: guys that i thought was pretty crazy a two-star from
- 46:59Speaker 1: lsu justin jefferson wow they.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Had that wrong That's just development, right? Like, it's just
- 47:05Speaker 3: maybe he wasn't that developed in high school.
- 47:08Speaker 1: It could have been development on two ways, either his
- 47:10Speaker 1: physical development or the development he had as a player.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:13Speaker 1: It could have been, depending how far back you go,
- 47:16Speaker 1: even the tape that they have, if they can't get
- 47:18Speaker 1: to camps. And a lot of two-star kids aren't getting
- 47:22Speaker 1: invited to the big camps.
- 47:23Speaker 3: Good point.
- 47:24Speaker 1: So Justin Jefferson's a two-star. Max Crosby, two-star, went to
- 47:27Speaker 1: Eastern Michigan. Khalil Mack went to Buffalo. The college.
- 47:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Buffalo College, yeah.
- 47:36Speaker 1: He was an edge, a two-star. Travis Kelsey was a
- 47:38Speaker 1: two-star athlete. He was recruited as a quarterback to Cincinnati.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Wow, that's crazy. And not even like football, like just
- 47:45Speaker 3: at life. Like he had a slow start, you know,
- 47:49Speaker 3: in football, and then he's just killing it at life.
- 47:52Speaker 1: George Kittle, two-star receiver prospect that ended up playing tight end.
- 47:57Speaker 1: He moved to tight end at Iowa. Josh Hines-Allen was
- 48:01Speaker 1: a two-star that ended up playing linebacker edge at Kentucky,
- 48:04Speaker 1: who is Jacksonville's dude now.
- 48:06Speaker 4: Monster.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Christian Watson, wide receiver. He was a two-star at North
- 48:10Speaker 1: Dakota State. Deion Dawkins, offensive tackle, went to Hargrove Military Academy,
- 48:15Speaker 1: then Temple.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Dang.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Just a two-star. Jeez.
- 48:20Speaker 3: J.J.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Watt was a two-star. Those were all current players. These
- 48:22Speaker 1: were all former. J.J. Watt, two-star. Central Michigan, then Wisconsin.
- 48:27Speaker 1: You know, I did not know he went to Central Michigan.
- 48:29Speaker 4: That's a tight end.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Yeah. I believe.
- 48:32Speaker 4: And then he made the transfer over and then went
- 48:34Speaker 4: to Wisconsin and became.
- 48:35Speaker 3: A D end.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Other two stars. Jordy Nelson was a wide receiver at
- 48:38Speaker 1: Kansas State. Le'Veon Bell, two star, Michigan State. T.Y. Hilton,
- 48:42Speaker 1: Florida International, two star. T.Y.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Yeah, these are all superstars.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I haven't thought about him in a while. Devin McCourty,
- 48:49Speaker 1: two star, then went to Rutgers.
- 48:51Speaker 3: Safety. Pretty crazy.
- 48:52Speaker 1: I think I still have a chance.
- 48:55Speaker 3: All that says right there is that you still have
- 48:57Speaker 3: a chance.
- 48:58Speaker 1: I have no stars.
- 49:02Speaker 3: What does that mean? Like no stars? Were they even
- 49:04Speaker 3: on the radar?
- 49:06Speaker 1: Probably on the radar to local teams because they would
- 49:09Speaker 1: hear about locally and they would probably go to the
- 49:13Speaker 1: local camps. I don't know how good they were because
- 49:17Speaker 1: some of these guys that are zero stars just weren't big.
- 49:20Speaker 1: they weren't big and fast and maybe they could have
- 49:22Speaker 1: been a decent player but if it doesn't look like
- 49:25Speaker 1: you're going to grow and be bigger or faster I
- 49:28Speaker 1: can see where coaches don't jump in the mix.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Did you see that Luke Bryan's son got an offer
- 49:32Speaker 3: for Georgia no yeah it's just an offer he's not
- 49:37Speaker 3: saying he's taking it he's just saying thankful for the
- 49:39Speaker 3: offer Pretty awesome.
- 49:40Speaker 1: So how much of that though is real? Because he's
- 49:41Speaker 1: a three-star quarterback. This is his only year ever starting,
- 49:45Speaker 1: and he only got to play, what, six games or so?
- 49:47Speaker 3: Yeah, he got hurt.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Yeah, before he broke his collarbone. So how much of
- 49:51Speaker 1: that is that they think it's him or that Luke
- 49:53Speaker 1: Bryan's a massive Georgia fan and from Georgia?
- 49:54Speaker 4: That's a good question. That is a good question.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I don't know the answer. I'm genuinely asking.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Right.
- 50:01Speaker 1: 50-50? Yeah, probably.
- 50:02Speaker 4: If not 40, 60, or 30, 70.
- 50:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Because he's good, but he's only ever started this year.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:12Speaker 1: And again, the services, and they're not always right, obviously.
- 50:16Speaker 1: A three-star. And maybe I'm unfair for saying, I don't know,
- 50:19Speaker 1: that is atypical of other Georgia quarterback recruits.
- 50:24Speaker 3: But even if they do offer, like, don't they sometimes,
- 50:28Speaker 3: because it's like, say he's, what is he? Is he
- 50:30Speaker 3: a sophomore?
- 50:30Speaker 1: No, he's senior.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Oh, he's senior. Okay. So the offer has to be
- 50:33Speaker 3: somewhat serious.
- 50:34Speaker 1: So the offer is serious. You don't offer unless you
- 50:35Speaker 1: have a scholarship offer. Okay.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Okay.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and that means they're not going to wait around.
- 50:40Speaker 4: And they're offering. They only have so many to offer.
- 50:43Speaker 4: And this is going to be one of the ones
- 50:45Speaker 4: that they can offer, obviously. And it's a quarterback, which,
- 50:48Speaker 4: to Bobby's point, you would think a four or five
- 50:50Speaker 4: only go to Georgia.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Yeah, unless they're offering him like a preferred walk-on because
- 50:56Speaker 1: Luke's rich.
- 50:57Speaker 3: Because Luke, yeah.
- 50:58Speaker 1: It's unfair of me to say that, but I didn't
- 51:00Speaker 1: know that. It's just atypical of a kid who's only
- 51:03Speaker 1: started a few games his senior year to be offered.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Especially when they're only a three-star. So that'd be awesome
- 51:10Speaker 1: if he was really good. Then I would know the
- 51:11Speaker 1: quarterback at Georgia.
- 51:12Speaker 4: We could go to a game.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Are the Rams cooked or would you still bet
- 51:18Speaker 1: on a comeback? That's the question. Kevin, you're first.
- 51:21Speaker 4: I'm betting on a comeback.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Me too.
- 51:23Speaker 4: They've had some weird games and I believe they had
- 51:24Speaker 4: the sixth easiest schedule for the rest of the year.
- 51:27Speaker 4: And it's still Matt Stafford and it's still all these
- 51:29Speaker 4: guys on their team that I'm like, I just can't
- 51:31Speaker 4: count them out yet.
- 51:32Speaker 1: It sucks they lost Arizona. That's a really bad look
- 51:35Speaker 1: for them.
- 51:35Speaker 3: That is bad.
- 51:37Speaker 1: They're 2-4. They lost to Arizona. Another bad thing is
- 51:39Speaker 1: that Devonta Adams is out two months at least, possibly more.
- 51:44Speaker 1: But I still think that I'm not selling the team
- 51:50Speaker 1: for draft picks. I think there's still a chance. San Francisco,
- 51:53Speaker 1: I think they're up three games in that division.
- 51:55Speaker 3: I think they're up three games. And they don't look
- 51:56Speaker 3: like they're slowing down. I don't know.
- 51:58Speaker 1: They keep getting injured, though. Every game, they lose somebody.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Next up. Who would you rather have, Eddie Caleb Williams
- 52:06Speaker 1: or Drake May?
- 52:07Speaker 3: I would rather have Caleb. I think Caleb is showing
- 52:12Speaker 3: that when he's not there, the team doesn't play well.
- 52:14Speaker 3: But when he's there, they're good.
- 52:16Speaker 1: The Patriots and the Bears tonight. You are a Patriots fan, Kevin.
- 52:21Speaker 1: I'll ask you just for fun, who would you rather have,
- 52:23Speaker 1: Caleb Williams or Drake May?
- 52:24Speaker 3: But be real. Be real, Kevin.
- 52:25Speaker 4: Yeah, Drake May.
- 52:27Speaker 1: I would rather have Caleb Williams. Yeah.
- 52:30Speaker 3: He seems dependable.
- 52:32Speaker 1: I don't know about that. That's not the word that
- 52:33Speaker 1: I would use. The worst one you could use.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Well, why would you say that? Because of his injury?
- 52:37Speaker 1: Well, last year was not. Last year was his only
- 52:40Speaker 1: year to be pretty good. The year before that, he
- 52:42Speaker 1: was not that good. He's been hurt. He's very dynamic,
- 52:46Speaker 1: but he doesn't always play within the system sometimes. I
- 52:48Speaker 1: still think they have to kind of mold him into
- 52:50Speaker 1: that guy, the guy that doesn't think he needs to
- 52:52Speaker 1: carry the whole team all the time. Sure, sure. So
- 52:54Speaker 1: dependable is not the word that I would use. Drake
- 52:56Speaker 1: May is dependable.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Correct. Oh, I think right now he's not dependable.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Drake May's been playing out of his mind.
- 53:01Speaker 3: We don't know who we're going to get, though. Is
- 53:02Speaker 3: it Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde with him?
- 53:04Speaker 1: Have you been watching the Patriots?
- 53:06Speaker 3: Yes.
- 53:06Speaker 1: I love being a Drake May hater, but he's been great.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Except for the first two weeks, he's been awesome.
- 53:09Speaker 3: I know, and we're only in, what, week six? Seven.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Seven. He's had four weeks in a row of being
- 53:15Speaker 1: really good. I don't want to be a Drake May defender,
- 53:17Speaker 1: but he's not Jekyll and Hyde right now. He's four
- 53:19Speaker 1: consecutive really good weeks.
- 53:22Speaker 4: I mean, really, really good. And he's down so many linemen.
- 53:25Speaker 1: A.J.
- 53:25Speaker 4: Brown just came back and he had a horrible game. Dude,
- 53:28Speaker 4: he's doing it by himself.
- 53:30Speaker 1: I'm still going Caleb Williams.
- 53:32Speaker 4: I love Caleb. I love watching Caleb, but Drake's my guy.
- 53:35Speaker 1: I think Caleb Williams can win you a game. I
- 53:37Speaker 1: think Caleb Williams can also lose you a game. I
- 53:39Speaker 1: don't think that Drake is enough of an influence either
- 53:43Speaker 1: way to be either the guy that fully wins it
- 53:45Speaker 1: or the guy that fully loses it. He needs a
- 53:47Speaker 1: good defense. He does not have a lot of receiver
- 53:51Speaker 1: help right now, but when do the Patriots ever have
- 53:53Speaker 1: good receiver help? I know. Ever. In the history of
- 53:55Speaker 1: Manny Moss? 2007.
- 53:56Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Next up, are the Kansas City Chiefs actually dominant?
- 54:02Speaker 3: Kevin?
- 54:04Speaker 4: No, I think they have an unbelievable run game with
- 54:06Speaker 4: Kenneth Walker that they haven't seen in a while, and
- 54:10Speaker 4: teams are going to catch on at some point.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Eddie? Eddie?
- 54:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm just waiting for
- 54:15Speaker 3: that moment in the schedule to crack because, yeah, that
- 54:19Speaker 3: running game is strong. Mahomes, he just feels like he's,
- 54:24Speaker 3: I don't know, he's still struggling a little bit. I
- 54:27Speaker 3: feel like that moment's going to come and they're going
- 54:29Speaker 3: to break and they're going to start losing some games.
- 54:31Speaker 1: So, so far their schedule is the Colts, the Dolphins,
- 54:33Speaker 1: the Raiders, and the Chargers.
- 54:36Speaker 3: That's the future schedule?
- 54:37Speaker 1: No, that's who they beat. They beat the Colts, the Dolphins,
- 54:39Speaker 1: the Raiders, the Chargers. They have Seattle coming up. This
- 54:42Speaker 1: is going to be a good measurement game. I do
- 54:44Speaker 1: think they're really good, and I think Mahomes hasn't had
- 54:46Speaker 1: to do much, so he hasn't done much. He obviously
- 54:48Speaker 1: is coming off an injury. I think what's been great
- 54:50Speaker 1: for that offense is that they do have a running game,
- 54:52Speaker 1: and they can lean on that while he slowly gets
- 54:55Speaker 1: back into shape, like physical health. Maybe shape's not the word,
- 54:58Speaker 1: but physical health and then shape. So I do think
- 55:00Speaker 1: the Chiefs are good. but they really haven't beat anybody.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Except the Raiders are actually okay.
- 55:07Speaker 3: Yeah, they're good. They are.
- 55:08Speaker 1: They're okay to pretty good.
- 55:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:10Speaker 1: They played the Bills close. They did. They won some games.
- 55:12Speaker 1: They played the Bills close. They played the Chiefs close.
- 55:14Speaker 4: Yeah, and they got whooped by the Patriots, Drake May.
- 55:16Speaker 1: That's true. That's true. That's true. Okay. Who's under more
- 55:22Speaker 1: pressure Monday night? The Cowboys or the Eagles? Eddie.
- 55:27Speaker 3: This is the Cowboys. I think the Eagles, they better
- 55:31Speaker 3: just wave the flag. Like, I mean, Jalen's out. Saquon's hurt.
- 55:39Speaker 3: They've had O-line problems.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Heck, they retired. Lane Johnson retired.
- 55:44Speaker 3: I know. It's a mess. I think they kind of
- 55:47Speaker 3: look at the season like, all right, guys, it's over.
- 55:49Speaker 3: It's not going to be our season. The Cowboys, they
- 55:51Speaker 3: still have the team, and the division sucks. We can
- 55:56Speaker 3: still do something here. So the Cowboys, I think there's
- 55:58Speaker 3: a lot of pressure on this game. They're playing a
- 56:00Speaker 3: broken Eagles. They have to win it. Have to.
- 56:03Speaker 1: They have to win it.
- 56:05Speaker 4: Yes.
- 56:07Speaker 3: If they don't... It's over. We will wave the white flag.
- 56:11Speaker 1: The only problem is that division is so weak that
- 56:14Speaker 1: even they don't really have to. They need to for
- 56:17Speaker 1: the respect, but do they really have to?
- 56:19Speaker 3: I agree the division's weak, but, I mean, Washington seems
- 56:22Speaker 3: to be getting.
- 56:23Speaker 1: No, Washington sucks. They're going to fire their coach this week.
- 56:24Speaker 1: If they haven't already, they're going to fire their coach. No,
- 56:27Speaker 1: the commanders you don't get to use as they're good.
- 56:28Speaker 3: They almost beat the 49ers.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Almost.
- 56:31Speaker 3: Okay, they almost beat the 49ers. The Giants look better
- 56:35Speaker 3: than the Cowboys. There's weirdness going on with the quarterback stuff,
- 56:38Speaker 3: but I mean, they look better than the Cowboys. So
- 56:41Speaker 3: I'll take the Giants winning that division.
- 56:43Speaker 1: As of right now, they have not fired the coach
- 56:46Speaker 1: of the Commanders.
- 56:47Speaker 3: Quinn?
- 56:48Speaker 1: I do think that they will fire him probably this
- 56:51Speaker 1: week because they're going into a bye. Yeah, it's a.
- 56:54Speaker 3: They may not.
- 56:55Speaker 1: And by the time this actually airs, who knows? But
- 56:58Speaker 1: Dan Quinn, he even had his hat forward.
- 57:00Speaker 3: I know.
- 57:00Speaker 1: That last game. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's like he's like
- 57:03Speaker 1: holding on for dear life.
- 57:04Speaker 4: He came in like a full suit. He's like, I'm ready, guys.
- 57:08Speaker 1: I think it's on the Cowboys, too.
- 57:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:10Speaker 1: Yeah. They are the favorite to win the division, though, still.
- 57:13Speaker 3: DraftKings. That's crazy.
- 57:15Speaker 1: They're one. The Giants are two. The Commanders are three.
- 57:20Speaker 1: The Eagles are four. In that order. And Tanner McKee
- 57:23Speaker 1: is starting for the Eagles for the rest of the year.
- 57:25Speaker 3: What do you know about that guy?
- 57:28Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 57:28Speaker 3: Like, is he okay?
- 57:30Speaker 1: I mean, he played at Stanford.
- 57:31Speaker 2: He's huge.
- 57:32Speaker 1: He's 6'6. Okay. He looks like a guy.
- 57:34Speaker 3: So can he run the ball? Because that's what kills
- 57:37Speaker 3: the Cowboys.
- 57:38Speaker 1: He's avoided interceptions so far this year for the most part,
- 57:41Speaker 1: but also he's only thrown, we were talking about this
- 57:44Speaker 1: the other day, like less than 50 times. So it's
- 57:46Speaker 1: not that they've really depended on him a lot, but
- 57:49Speaker 1: he's had no interceptions. Okay. But also he's thrown nearly
- 57:53Speaker 1: 50 times. I don't think he's the guy. But I
- 57:56Speaker 1: don't think they want the guy. I think they want
- 57:58Speaker 1: to lose. Because if you can't win, lose.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Yeah, just lose.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Get a better draft pick.
- 58:03Speaker 3: That's kind of where they're at right now.
- 58:04Speaker 1: If you can't win, lose. So I just looked up
- 58:07Speaker 1: his passer rating. It's 77.6. So he's not. He is
- 58:10Speaker 1: what we think he is right now. What would be
- 58:13Speaker 1: weird is if he starts to be pretty good and
- 58:15Speaker 1: they end up winning eight or nine games and that
- 58:18Speaker 1: ends up ruining it for them. They Pittsburgh Steeler the
- 58:21Speaker 1: whole thing. They get in. They barely win the NFC East.
- 58:23Speaker 3: Don't say that. That'd be terrible.
- 58:25Speaker 1: It'd be terrible not only for you as a Cowboys fan,
- 58:27Speaker 1: but for the Eagles fans.
- 58:28Speaker 3: For them too, yeah.
- 58:28Speaker 4: You don't even want that.
- 58:29Speaker 1: It's why the Steelers can never get a quarterback. It's
- 58:31Speaker 1: why they can never get anybody because they kept going 8, 9,
- 58:34Speaker 1: 10 wins.
- 58:34Speaker 3: How do they do that? Like, this guy obviously wants
- 58:36Speaker 3: to go in there and win some games. Like, this
- 58:38Speaker 3: is his one shot.
- 58:40Speaker 1: And he will play as hard as he possibly can.
- 58:42Speaker 3: But then the team's like, it's like a major league,
- 58:44Speaker 3: you know? Like, no, no, no, we're trying to lose here.
- 58:47Speaker 1: The team isn't. The coaches aren't.
- 58:49Speaker 3: Yeah, the front office.
- 58:50Speaker 1: It's the goal of the front office, if this is
- 58:53Speaker 1: their goal... is to not give them the tools that
- 58:57Speaker 1: would allow them to win. It's to take guys like
- 58:59Speaker 1: Saquon and not let him come back if he's 93%. Like,
- 59:02Speaker 1: we're not letting you come back to your 100, which
- 59:04Speaker 1: is then another loss or two. I mean, you saw
- 59:06Speaker 1: them with Max Crosby, the Raiders, if not last year,
- 59:09Speaker 1: the year before. like you know he's hurt you know
- 59:11Speaker 1: what take the last four weeks off you're really.
- 59:13Speaker 3: Hurt even though he doesn't need all that time.
- 59:15Speaker 1: He's pissed the players are still playing as hard as
- 59:17Speaker 1: they possibly can because they still have to play they're
- 59:19Speaker 1: still getting watched who knows how long their contracts are
- 59:22Speaker 1: the coaches even position coaches they want their teams their
- 59:27Speaker 1: positions to play really well because they still want to
- 59:29Speaker 1: coach And if they get fired here, they want to
- 59:31Speaker 1: go somewhere else.
- 59:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it's got to be tough for Sirianni because he
- 59:34Speaker 3: is a winner. This dude, he's been part of really
- 59:37Speaker 3: good teams, and then now he's got this to deal with.
- 59:40Speaker 3: It sucks.
- 59:42Speaker 1: A little bit. I feel like it's a blessing for Sirianni.
- 59:45Speaker 4: I agree.
- 59:46Speaker 1: So let's take out all the serious, absolute awful things
- 59:51Speaker 1: with the blood clots, and we're just going to be
- 59:53Speaker 1: talking about fictional football.
- 59:55Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:56Speaker 1: It's real, but it's stupid. It's fun. Football's fun. The
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: good thing for Sirianni, he has an excuse. They were
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: not going to be good this year anyway. Lane Johnson retires.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Saquon gets hurt. This is all before Jalen Hurts goes down.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: They're having offensive coordinator issues, which they have had every year. Well,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: now they were going to be pretty bad anyway. Now
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: they're going to be really bad. And he's like, it's
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: a free pass because your freaking tackle retires. Your quarterback's hurt.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Your running back's hurt. You got a new offensive coordinator.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I think this is the best thing. This is a
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: really good thing to happen to him for job security
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: this year. Interesting.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: Yeah, he could go in and be like, guys, what
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: do you want from me? What can I do with this?
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: It's interesting. I didn't think about that. I just think
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: of someone that is used to winning, and then seven
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: weeks into the season, you're just like, yep, we're not
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: going to win. It's a hard pill to swallow.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I think he probably thought they weren't going to win
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: a lot anyway, because it's not like they were good
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: before all this.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: And so.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Again, I think it's a bit of a blessing. Even
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: if he doesn't feel that way, I think from the
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: outside looking in, it's like you weren't going to win. Yeah.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Still go coach hard. Everything you do is a bonus
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: as of right now because no one expects you to
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: do anything. You got a backup quarterback. You got multiple
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: running backs that are hurt. You got an offensive line
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: that you've just squeezed together. And I just looked at
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: that piece, 61 and 30 as Eagles head coach. That's
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: almost a 70% winning percentage. He's fine. Yeah. Nothing bad
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: was going to happen to him this year anyway, except
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: the Eagles fans were going to be really loud on
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: sports radio. But now they can't be. They can't be.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: The only thing that could mess it up was players
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: hate him for whatever reason and come out again. And
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: they seem to like him from everything we've heard. He's
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: been to two Super Bowls.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Won one of them.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: Yeah. That's insane.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: So if you're an Eagles fan, it's tough, but now
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: you just want to lose. Lose, lose, lose. Get a quarterback. Yeah.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: You wanted a quarterback anyway. We can't act like now
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: that the Eagles were in love with Jalen Hurts, they
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: were trying to get him out of there anyway. Now
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: this actually gives them the opportunity to, oh man, we're sad,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: and move on. And it is sad, what's happening to him,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: and hopefully it doesn't get any worse. But I don't
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: feel like he was, listen, all the hit pieces that
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: were coming out in the offseason anyway.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: AJ Brown.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't want him there. So that's what's up.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: All right, thank you guys for listening. I appreciate it.
