Transcript
- 0:22Welcome inside the treehouse once again. I'm Daniel Malley. I see Trey Trenholme.
- 0:30Alfie, I rarely see because he doesn't he doesn't like to actually show
- 0:33his face in the treehouse. He likes to go you know, the pure
- 0:35audio, which is fine off. That's his prerogative. But Alfie, as
- 0:40you can hear, is here in the treehouse as well. So welcome everyone,
- 0:44Um alphail I can pick my notes and you guys hear my prick them
- 0:50on North. I don't I don't understand why you feel the need to hide
- 0:53that we've we've all spent you know, years together in a room. Yeah,
- 0:58and we we've heard and seeing each other do things that most people don't
- 1:03want to hear or see. I'm more I just I don't like interesting that
- 1:08all of a sudden you've you've grown some sort of shame. It's not all
- 1:11of a sudden. I've never ever liked any sort of like video chat,
- 1:15video conferency call things, because then you gotta you gotta like prepare, you
- 1:19gotta like as my hair combed is there is there a booger hanging off my
- 1:23nose? You know it's you. I have a ant exactly things that you
- 1:30shouldn't necessarily have to worry about when you're you know, you can't see me
- 1:33from the waist down. I can't see Trey from the waist down, So
- 1:38whether we're wearing pants or not doesn't really matter. I'm just saying that that
- 1:42we've been in a small room together for years, so you know, if
- 1:49you have a book hanging, there's no big deal. We'll just let you
- 1:51know. Hey, man, you's got a little got a little something right
- 1:53there. I just I don't like the video video face, timy zoom stuff.
- 1:57Just don't care for it. I mean, like like that one time
- 2:00that the RUSS called me. It was like Saturday evening, right, I
- 2:04wasn't doing anything weird wrong, but he decides he wants to FaceTime, and
- 2:07I'm like, nope, not a chance. I was. I was sitting
- 2:10at home watching Kung Fu movies and clipping my tone nails. I'm not doing
- 2:16anything like weird, out of the out of the ordinary. You know.
- 2:22I just don't wanna, don't wanna have to face somebody now that I'm with
- 2:27you. I don't like FaceTime. If someone if someone tries to call me
- 2:30with FaceTime, chances are my phone will be hurled across the room. Yeah,
- 2:36I'm with you, Like if I even see someone like just the FaceTime
- 2:40coming up, like I can't hit and decline or turning my phone over fast
- 2:45enough. This, I don't know why I don't mind, But then again,
- 2:50I don't really like talking on the phone, and so talking seeing someone
- 2:54talking on the phone is even worse. See, I don't mind talking on
- 2:58the phone, but traded you do a lot of like zoom calls over the
- 3:02past few years, Alphie. I am proud to say that I made it
- 3:07through the pandemic and I never got on Zoom one time. Yeah, but
- 3:12it's not the same. It's not like you had a corporate gig and you
- 3:15were putting like you were putting a crash test dummy up there instead of yourself.
- 3:19I mean, you worked, you worked, you worked at you worked
- 3:21in the bar industry, where the zoom meeting thing isn't really much of a
- 3:24much of a thing. Dan and I had like three, including the one
- 3:28where we got fired. But does that count since out was actually post COVID
- 3:32or you know, I don't know whatever. Zoom. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:38I appreciated it. I preferred that because in that way, I didn't have
- 3:43to drive fifteen minutes to the station and then tell me, hey, make
- 3:46sure you bring your key card like I already knew what was gonna happen.
- 3:49Just go ahead and drop the hammer virtually, let me get it, let
- 3:52me get it out of the way in the morning, as opposed to you
- 3:54calling me in. At least that way, I mean we knew we were
- 3:58getting yeah, because were smart, but at least that way, it's you
- 4:01know, they tried to leave a little mystery involved in it. So twenty
- 4:06years from now, you're not complaining about having to drive to Greenville to get
- 4:10fired. I don't like the correlation that that you're making here, but that
- 4:18is a benefit. So speaking of seeing things, Alfay, I'm like I
- 4:25said, I'm I'm positive you saw this. Uh, your friend, our
- 4:29friend Jessica, but really really your friend Jessica, my work wife, yeah,
- 4:33or work wife, because neither of us work for that company anymore.
- 4:36But yeah, true, but but she stopped working there before we did.
- 4:40H I saw it was her. I think it was her birthday yesterday or
- 4:44today? Yeah? Did did you get her anything? Because you know,
- 4:47I know how good at giving gifts you are I did not. I took
- 4:50her up to dinner though, but oh that's nice. Yeah, I didn't.
- 4:54I didn't get her or anything though, because I don't know, like
- 4:56you know, she she I don't know what would I get, Jessica if
- 5:01I had to get her, like a nice, nice gift, you get
- 5:04that woman a ring. I've been telling you for years to wife her.
- 5:09She she is your soulmate? Is she you sure? Yes? We don't
- 5:13send that much time together? I mean we did it? Or she okay?
- 5:15I'm going to ask you some very very simple, straightforward questions to find
- 5:18out if this woman is, in fact you're a soul mate. Are you
- 5:20okay? Sure? Go for it? Uh? Is she a woman?
- 5:25Yes? Are you? Is she attractive? She is? Jessica's very okay.
- 5:30Does she spend time with you willingly? She does? Marry her?
- 5:34I don't know. I don't know what other minimums you're looking for here,
- 5:38but I mean, that's that's a gut a that's a that's a better start
- 5:41than anyone else that you've come across lately. And she's also a hell of
- 5:46a leg wrestler. She is. She beat me in leg wrestling that one
- 5:48time. Dre Are you intrigued about this, about this princess that clearly as
- 5:57the attention of Alfie. Yeah, and clearly some quality thigh strength. Yes,
- 6:01she does do her squats. Um, Jessica, I mean she she's
- 6:09okay. I don't want to feed into this dumb bit, but she's made
- 6:12the same sort of joke that Dan has before, where it's like, oh,
- 6:15we should totally get married Alphie, and I'm like, okay, thanks.
- 6:17I just I don't know, I just don't see it working out.
- 6:20Maybe it's just me. How how old is she? Yeah, yeah,
- 6:25she's she's younger than me. Okay. Are there are there any red flags?
- 6:30Uh? No, jess likes to spend time with Alphie. That's true.
- 6:31That's horrible. What kind of psycho does that? No? No,
- 6:38no, yeah, that's a that's a big red flag. Uh. Jessica
- 6:42and I are are compatible. I just don't want I don't want to test
- 6:45it, you know what I mean. I don't want to risk it.
- 6:46I don't want to risk what I've got with Jessica right now in the hopes
- 6:50that it might, you know, be something more, because that's very high
- 6:54risk, very high reward, and it is not a gambling man like that,
- 6:59So you'd rather play her more like the stock market correct uh, losing
- 7:04more of an index fund guy versus a blue chip gag. Yes, wait
- 7:09what so so you get along? You enjoy spending time with her. She
- 7:15likes you, she spends time with you willingly. Yeah, and has made
- 7:24a statements saying that you know that she would like some kind of future with
- 7:28you. No, not like that. It's there's a distinct difference between oh
- 7:31my god, we're just made for each other and oh my god, you
- 7:35always know what what to say to cheer me up. We should totally get
- 7:39married, yeah, Alphie. I typically, especially women don't joke about marriage.
- 7:47If it comes out of their mouth, it's whether they potted off as
- 7:51humorous or not. They're they're planning a seed. There m a seed.
- 7:58Yes, yeah, are inviting you too. I like that. I as
- 8:11much as I think that would be a fun thing to pursue, I just
- 8:16don't want to. I mean it, just like I said, it's too
- 8:16high risk, and I, uh, what's the risk the risk is?
- 8:22Jessica's like, oh, well, I don't like you like that, so
- 8:26I'm just gonna go to the exactly. But how about go ahead, tray.
- 8:33She likes hanging out with you, Mum. Do you hang out with
- 8:37her on a regular basis? Not that often because you know, our schedules
- 8:43are you know, divergent. Does she make attempts to hang out with you?
- 8:48Yes? Okay, so she puts in the effort to spend time with
- 8:52you, and you don't want to reciprocate, You don't want No, I
- 8:58do reciprocate. I I try and schedule time with her too, when it's
- 9:03convenient for you. So you don't want to make any sacrifices, you know,
- 9:05you just are you trying to ruin this marriage before it's even started.
- 9:11Trade, I'm just saying clearly, you're not taking you know, you're taking
- 9:13her. Yeah, for granted, uh No, I genuinely appreciate Jessica,
- 9:22but I think that that Dan's prodding and now you're prodding and Jessica's jokes are
- 9:28not what you build a relationship on. I mean, if Jessica and I
- 9:31started spending more and more and more and more time together and it's like,
- 9:35hey, we should maybe try this out, then maybe, but outside of
- 9:39some sort of hilarious rom com style, Hey, if we're not married,
- 9:43by the time we both hit forty or something like that. Did did I
- 9:48send you my note? No? Is that where you're trying to plan with
- 9:52us? Yes, I think that's exactly what you should do, and not
- 9:54because it's it's some romcom trope, but in reality, because this actually kind
- 10:01of solves the problem that you have with trying to pursue her as something more
- 10:05than friends, which is and she and she's and she's joking about it saying,
- 10:09oh my god, yeah, no, exactly what to say, we
- 10:11should just totally get married. Serious, what you do? You're single?
- 10:13She's single? Is she single right now? Yeah? I think so?
- 10:16Okay, So no pressure, there's no pressure on anything. No, no,
- 10:20no pressure on anything. Right now. You both agree that you know
- 10:24you you're both are getting you know, closer to forty. So do that
- 10:28you use the landmark of forty and yes, steal it straight from a romantic
- 10:31comedy and say, if we are both single at the age of forty,
- 10:37then you don't necessarily have to say, fine, let's get married, but
- 10:39you can at least propose that you pursue something romantics like you know what,
- 10:45we've we've been friends now because by the time you guys are forty, You
- 10:48guys will probably have been friends for what ten fifteen years? Yeah? About
- 10:52then maybe it's time to find out if there's you know, some some sparks
- 10:58there, you know, basically when to turn forty half sex and then find
- 11:01out if there's anything worth building. Y'all are just all about forcing this,
- 11:05aren't you? This is not forcing. There's no forcing, alvie. Have
- 11:11y'all ever gone out and like had drinks together? Um, like drinks in
- 11:15like a romantic sense or just let's just go hang out and have drinks.
- 11:18Have you ever gotten drunk with her? Actually? Have I? I've gotten
- 11:24drunk alongside her when she was an employee at the station and uh, one
- 11:31of our sales guys was lickering me up with yeager bombs. So it wasn't
- 11:37in a traditional social sense. She was working and I was supposed to be
- 11:43working. And Scott Long had other ideas. Good or will get you every
- 11:48time? Why don't you take her out, like just an invite her?
- 11:54Go, Hey, let's go, you know, grab a biteat, have
- 11:56a couple of cocktails kind of let you know, loosen things up a little
- 12:01bit and see what happens, See what happens. Yeah. Hey, did
- 12:13you guys notice the weather today? It sure is weather that's outside, right,
- 12:16and it does that. Yeah, the weather outside is weather. Paul
- 12:18rud said it best. Let's get back to you. And uh and and
- 12:22and box jump Betty, she does do box jumps good. She's a crossbeater.
- 12:28And that's the other thing too, is like we both have like pretty
- 12:31differing interests. That's okay, that's not a bad thing. I've i've i've
- 12:35know, I knew a married couple years and years ago. One of the
- 12:39things that there that was the secret to their marriage was separate vacations once a
- 12:43year. Really, how did that work? Because they had sometimes they had
- 12:48different interests and what they like to do with their downtime. They would take
- 12:52a vacation together, but then also once a year they would take a separate
- 12:54vacation because she was more of a hippie and he wanted to like play a
- 13:00bunch of golf and stuff, which he had no interest in. So she
- 13:01would go meditate in the woods somewhere for a week and then you know,
- 13:05he played thirty six holes every damn day. Does she like the same things
- 13:11you do? Like anime and comic con and stuff. Well that's my point.
- 13:18Okay, Well that's fine. You Dan's right, you can each have
- 13:20separate interest, but then you know, enjoy hearing, you know, enjoying
- 13:26seeing the enjoy on top of one another on occasion. Yeah. So,
- 13:33anyway, this couple that you were discussing, Dan, um, what was
- 13:37there? When he does straight it gets a little too close to home and
- 13:41he and he's it's it's it's too uncomfortable, so he pushes it away.
- 13:45What did I hear my doorbell ring? Oh? I got I'll be back
- 13:48in thirty minutes. Guys, there's no doorbell unless unless the person at the
- 13:52doors Jessica with a bunch of white signs telling you how she feels. What
- 14:00movie is in that chair? Love? Love? Actually? Okay? Oh
- 14:03oh, shut up, Siri. What was serious saying? Is serious saying
- 14:11YouTube need to go out with Jessica? No, i'd like I don't like
- 14:18these things. No, no, like I said, I will fully admit
- 14:20that, I just don't want to risk it is not worth risking. What
- 14:24risk losing any friendship that I have with Jessica over the potential exactly, over
- 14:31the potential of being uh something more? What if and hear me out,
- 14:37what if? What if Trey asked her out? Uh, you're not allowed
- 14:43to do that, Tray, Ah, why not? Ah? Just don't.
- 14:48She sounds lovely, okay, takes see, takes good care of herself.
- 14:56She is entertaining friendly, very much like the leg wrestle. Yeah,
- 15:05m hm, so you know, if you're not going to take your shot,
- 15:09somebody else will. Yeah. And hey, if that's the way that
- 15:13you know it plays out, it plays out that way. But Tray specifically,
- 15:16it's not allowed to Why not because bro code You guys don't know each
- 15:26other that well, Yeah, bro code only applies like if you've actually dated
- 15:35her. Bro code just just because you're just because just because you want to
- 15:41be in the friend zone doesn't mean everyone else should have to be. No,
- 15:43No, it's just I'm I'm not saying I want to be in the
- 15:46friend zone. I just don't even I don't think in that in those terms,
- 15:50Trey. I'm not like, oh, well, if Jessica is not,
- 15:52you know, actively boning me, then I'm you know, she's of
- 15:56no use to me. And Nah, I don't think like that. I
- 16:00think Jessica somebody's fun to be around. She is somebody that I enjoy her
- 16:04company. And you know, if something blossoms over the course of time,
- 16:11that's fine. If it doesn't, that's also fine. I Am not going
- 16:14to try and force it one way or the other. What if what if
- 16:18that relationship were to blossom because Trey, you know, went out with her
- 16:21and just you know, ruined her and she needed a shoulder to cry on.
- 16:27M as Trey is known to do. That is true. That's that's
- 16:32what they call him traumatic Trey. You know, look, I don't know
- 16:36Tray of Uptown. Well, I mean it's Jessica short on money because I
- 16:41mean Tray Tray's got plenty. He likes to share. Oh that's true.
- 16:45You know, Trey, I am single too. And if you're single and
- 16:48I'm single and you've got money, I mean, force the issue with a
- 16:52friend as long as it's Tray, It's exactly, and I get a PS
- 16:56five out of it. You know what, love, guys, Love is
- 17:03love. You guys knock you guys, just knock each other out, exactly.
- 17:06Love is love. And I haven't played the New God of War yet.
- 17:14Listening to the Treehouse visit goes online A Treehouse on air dot com,
- 17:19which, by the way, if you and Trey hooked up, the game
- 17:22you would play would also be called God of War. All right, let's
- 17:37get Rodney Anderson back into this treehouse to help all of us. His website,
- 17:40Rodney Anderson dot com. The phone number which you will need right now
- 17:44nine seven two nine eight five fifty two hundred nine nine eight five fifty two
- 17:48hundred. From inside a Smoothie King bathroom, here is again, Rodney Anderson.
- 17:55Good afternoon, Rodney. What what What's movie did you get today?
- 18:00The yogurt delay? Oh, that is a good one. I was a
- 18:03sucker for the chocolate peanut butter. That's me all right. So enough with
- 18:07smoothies. Let's talk now about some of the unique options you have available for
- 18:11people, specifically when it comes to home buying and of course refinancing. Can
- 18:15you share with us an example or two where you've been able to help some
- 18:19people? Absolutely? So. I've got a client right now that's buying a
- 18:22one point four million dollar house. They're putting six hundred thousand dollars down,
- 18:27but they're self employee. They don't report enough income to get a regular loan,
- 18:33but they have great bank statements. So we're doing a bank statement only
- 18:37loan for them, and so it couldn't get a loan before we're able to
- 18:41get them loans. We have wonderful programs for people that don't fit in the
- 18:45perfect box. Now, you do have to have good to excellent credit,
- 18:49you have to have large stale payments when it comes to people buying homes.
- 18:52But Dan, we have some wonderful opportunities. Let me share with another client.
- 18:57We have a client that wants to buy investment property. They're buying in
- 19:02for four hundred and fifty thousand. They are self employed as well. They're
- 19:06putting twenty five percent down. We're doing a bank statement only loan for them
- 19:10as well. So we have lots of options that are available for people that
- 19:14are self employed that may not fit into that perfect box. But you do
- 19:18have to have good to excellent credit, you have to have a money down,
- 19:22and we recommend people pick up the phone and give us a call if
- 19:26you think your situation doesn't fit in that perfect box. Yeah, that's one
- 19:30of the great things about Rodney Anderson and his team. Having been in business
- 19:33for more than forty years, he's aware of and can utilize all these different
- 19:37special programs for people to take advantage of and that can be you. So
- 19:41give him and his team a call nine seven two nine eighty five fifty two
- 19:45hundred nine seven two nine eighty five fifty two hundred or again great info on
- 19:49his website all the time, Rodney Anderson dot com. Thanks Rodney and if

- 21:03a chance to really cover it last week because you know, Steve Nova Yellow
- 21:07has a tendency to take up all the time. But I was curious.
- 21:12You said you got something new and you were excited to tell us about it.
- 21:15So I figured now as good a time as any, mainly because you
- 21:18know, Nova Yellow's not here to talk up a storm. I don't know
- 21:21if I'm excited to tell you guys about it or not, but I had
- 21:22to get something new, and I don't know that I'm all that pleased with
- 21:26it. Last week, I am. I washed my wallet like it was
- 21:36accidentally in my pants and went to the wash cycle and dry and I take
- 21:41my pants out of the dryer and I pull out my wallet and it's still
- 21:44damp, and everything in there's damp as hell. And I've got to you
- 21:48know, my insurance cards ruined, and now I gotta go print another one
- 21:52out. And I set my wallet aside to dry, right, and uh,
- 22:00couple hours go by, I like kind of open it up and make
- 22:03it like a little tent or something like that. And I said it on
- 22:06the counter, and a couple hours go by and I walked by the wallet
- 22:10and it just smells. It smells bad, It smells fishy. It's an
- 22:15old wallet. It's probably god, I don't know, ten yeah, I
- 22:21guess ten years old. It lasted me a long, long time, decent
- 22:25quality wallet. How is it that you washed the wallet and it and it
- 22:29came out smelling terrible. I don't know. It was something with like the
- 22:33interior lining or the leather, or maybe it's just the fact that it's just
- 22:36so old, but it smells. It's awful. It's been next to your
- 22:38ass for ten years. Yeah, there's a there's a distinct possibility it's picked
- 22:42up a little bit of sweat. You know. I typically when we list
- 22:48when we list this show on podcast platforms, I don't typically list it as
- 22:52a you know, as a crime podcast. But I mean when you when
- 22:56you solve, when you solve a case like trade just it, I think
- 23:00we kind of have to know that's that's informative. It's what it is.
- 23:03This is science and informative podcast. Right now, speaking of science and informative
- 23:08and washed wallet. When you washed the wallet were your card like credit cards
- 23:14and things in their debit card? Yeah, credit cards side, okay,
- 23:17so that doesn't ruin the chip card inside there. I was just curious.
- 23:22Nope, good to go. I've used them since then, and in fact,
- 23:26for like three or four days, I was walking around with just my
- 23:29credit cards wrapped in a rubber band, and that was my wallet for a
- 23:33few days. I printed out a new insurance card, got my license,
- 23:37my LTC, my credit cards and just kind of wrapped a rubber band around
- 23:41it and was good to go. My Costco card too. But um,
- 23:45I ended up getting a new wallet pretty quickly there after. Once I realized
- 23:49my old one was stinking. I just tossed it in the trash and said
- 23:52farewell, thank you for your service, wallet yest, and sent it off
- 24:00down the river. Um but the new wallet that I got, who was
- 24:06your wallet named Moses? I don't know. I don't know. How do
- 24:10how do like naval burials at sea work? Just salute and this kind of
- 24:14shove them off the ship? I don't get, or maybe do the give
- 24:18your wallet a Viking funeral? Yes, like Darth Vader or something on a
- 24:22pyre? But um, so you sent moses away. Got a new wallet,
- 24:30Yes, got a new wallet? Sent uh sent the old one away
- 24:34the new wallet. It's great, it's nice. It's nice, like soft
- 24:38supple leather. It's is there new wallet technology these days? It's been a
- 24:44while since I've purchased one. Funny you mentioned that, Oh, I um,
- 24:49I got the RFID protector wallet right. Oh, And I thought,
- 24:56like, you know, I've got a couple of chip cards that, like
- 24:59the wavy just wave in front of the thing and it charges you. I
- 25:02figure i'll protect them. There's RFIDs and licenses now you know, passports have
- 25:07them. I'll get the RFID protecting wallet. This damn thing is loud.
- 25:12It is a loud ass wallet. How was a wallet loud? It's loud.
- 25:18The material that the RFID protecting stuff is made out of, it's like
- 25:23metallic wrapped fibers or something like that, or it's a metallic fiber. So
- 25:29what you end up with is like a nylon that's just extra loud. Do
- 25:33you remember, like five or six years ago, Friedo Lay put out a
- 25:38new bag for sun chips. There were supposedly like more biodegradable, supposedly was
- 25:45able to be you know, composted that kind of thing, and it was
- 25:49but I'll go with it. It was a loud ass bag. We got
- 25:53him at the radio station. They send him up there and and we opened
- 25:56it up and it was just incredibly loud. It was this metallic sounding almost
- 26:00clang whenever you can touch the bag. It was weird. Man, That's
- 26:07the only thing I can relate this wallet too. You guys want to hear
- 26:10it? Yeah, yes, that's my wallet. That's the inside of my
- 26:15wallet where the cash goes. This is me just opening and closing it.
- 26:25That is weird. It's loud. It's so loud. My wallet makes zero
- 26:30noise. Yeah, my old one, same thing. It's very silent,
- 26:33very stealthy. If I'm ever on some sort of secret mission for the CIA
- 26:38and I've got to infiltrate some bass and and they're like, we need to
- 26:41pick this door with your cousco card, Alfie and does your cousco card and
- 26:47I open it up my wallet and goes, we're all getting shot. We
- 26:52are all dead. See I Hey, Black Ops team dead because my's gonna
- 26:57tell the president, why the why the failed loud wallet, sir. I
- 27:06can't believe this crap. We gotta give these guys some better wallets, wallet
- 27:08silencers. I just I don't know. This wallet has everything I need except
- 27:15for a suppressor. It's really nice wallet. Like I said, it's soft,
- 27:19supple leather. I even got the the the what's it called embossing option
- 27:26on the wallet to where it says ac it's nice cool breeze exactly air conditioning.
- 27:33But have you developed some kind of complex about this, like are you
- 27:37are you hesitant to whip it out in public? Kind of yeah, because
- 27:41it's so freaking loud, which is kind of interesting because usually alfie seeks attention,
- 27:48so in this case for the wallet, if it's that loud, someone
- 27:52is going to think, Wow, this guy has a really loud wallet.
- 27:56Either it's empty and that's his way of audibly asked for money, or it's
- 28:02a loud wallet because he's trying to show off to everybody around him. Look
- 28:06at all the money I have inside. I don't carry cash, like I've
- 28:10got an Apple Watch, I got Apple Pay. I don't. I hardly
- 28:14know anyone that carries cash these days, But I just I am self conscious
- 28:21about it now, Thank you, Trey. It's just weird because I've never
- 28:25had a wallet that's made any noise before in the past. I did.
- 28:32It was my Ocean Pacific wallet, and they've made noise because it had velcro.
- 28:36The velcro, yes, I think I was ten. It comes with
- 28:41a little like I D Carrier two. We put your driver's license or your
- 28:44you know whatever in their business cards and it's loud too year that oh,
- 28:52maybe maybe you're making too much out of it, me making too much out
- 28:56of something small and and significant. This does not sounded like me. No,
- 29:00never, not alfie, not not all ac cool breeze. I mean
- 29:08you should. You should get an outside opinion of what you know that bad.
- 29:15That's why I'm asking y'all. But we're not with you like I mean,
- 29:22but you know here, you should. You should call up a friend
- 29:25and invite them to dinner or something and see what they think of the wallet
- 29:30when they collect their ears on someone I could invite. Um. If only
- 29:37there was someone you could invite to check the the decibel level of your loud
- 29:42wallet, someone who likes spending time with you and maybe even dropped hints about
- 29:48also wanting to be near your ass. Ah Steve Noviello. Yes, I'll
- 29:53call him up and say let's go have dinner. For the record, if
- 29:56we had traffic during this show, the next traffic accident would have been Steve
- 30:02Nova Yellow driving into it. The smear the smear on that retaining wall on
- 30:11the tollway was Steve Nova Yellow hearing on the treehouse. How supposedly he wanted
- 30:17to be near Alphie Koy's adds, Oh god, well, you know what,
- 30:26Alphie, You're not the only one that has something loud. First of
- 30:29all, it is kind of loud, is it? That? Is it
- 30:30that bad? Ed? It's probably fine. I mean, I'm hoping that
- 30:33with time it'll kind of like wear in kinda and get less loud. But
- 30:41I don't know. I just feel like, if you guys are out hunting
- 30:44for new wallets, just know that if you buy the RFID protecting option,
- 30:48it's gonna be loud. Gotcha. You know what you could do? You
- 30:52should actually call Nova Yellow one to see if he's okay, and two to
- 30:56see as a consumer reporter four Fox four see if he recommends a good wallet
- 31:02for you that doesn't make a lot of noise. Honestly, I go to
- 31:04him for most recommendations on stuff like that because he's got experienced people will send
- 31:11him all sorts of stuff and he can test drive all different things. Test
- 31:15drive. Really, yeah, that's what he does. If there's any connotation
- 31:21that's being put on that, Dan, that's you. That's you and your
- 31:22filthy mind putting connotations on it. No, I'm just saying. We just
- 31:26talked about how we probably ran into a you know, a concrete barrier on
- 31:30the tollway from hearing about being near your ass. And you're saying that he's
- 31:34test driving things. All of a sudden, teams kind of soon after such
- 31:37a horrible accent that he's fine, he might be dying. Laughter at the
- 31:42idea. All right, So I actually have something as well that makes noise
- 31:48make you feel a little bit better. I don't know, it has been
- 31:51a while since we've done that and done this, and I'm not even sure
- 31:53if Trey has ever done this. Trey, have you ever played What's in
- 31:56the Box? Oh? God, no, I have not. It's it's
- 32:00Dan's way of opening mail. Dan opens mail and he has to have some
- 32:04pomp and circumstance with it, as opposed to just going, hey, look
- 32:07it's mail, and you open it and then it's all about presentation like look
- 32:12like look, look, look, look it's mail. I got mail,
- 32:15alright, get mail? Yes, I got I got a box. Alfie,
- 32:20I have a box. I see I have a box. Play the
- 32:23intro, hold ony thing. It's no fun without it. Good. What's
- 32:36in the box? What's it's right? Thank you Brad Pitt for asking the
- 32:44important questions. What is in the box? I'm going to shows? Uh,
- 32:47this is actually I don't know what is actually in here in this box,
- 32:52but I do know who who it's from. This is actually from my
- 32:54father in law, which could be interesting. Okay, he doesn't use give
- 33:00me things, so I'm immediately suspicious. Where is this not a bad thing?
- 33:04This doesn't live on the beach any like in like an RV camper,
- 33:07like roam the beach like a beach coasting guy he normally is, but since
- 33:13it's warmer now, he's he's traveled up north with the rest of the waterfowl
- 33:17and he's landed in Michigan for for a bit. God dang, hey,
- 33:22that's what happens when you sell your house. You sell your property and you
- 33:25get a kick ass you know, trailer, and you drive around places and
- 33:29then you just you do cool things like you find something and send it to
- 33:32your son in law. But going from like like the beach, like whether
- 33:37it's Florida or the Gulf Coast or West Coast to Michigan. Huh, that's
- 33:42not too drastic of like a climate change. You know what I mean?
- 33:45You're not just not when you get a girlfriend. Okay, that's why.
- 33:49Yeah, you should try it. Yeah, it sounds like it's going great
- 33:52for you to trade. By the way, how's your skin moist? Yeah?
- 33:59Had able? Hell yeah? You you hold out, Drey. You
- 34:02hold out to find a woman who actually appreciates a good moist body and face.
- 34:08All right, so here's the mes. Let's see what's in here.
- 34:13Plastic Okay, plastic is bad, you know, near the ocean. But
- 34:15okay, there's lots of plastic. More plastic and lots of plastic all right,
- 34:22plastic wrapped around something. See what this is? Okay, it's a
- 34:30lot of plastic. Jesus, Dad, you call your your father in law
- 34:36dad? Sometimes does he call you son? He has a couple of times.
- 34:42It was sweet. Oh this is interesting. M Now we can see
- 34:52each other on camera, right, yeah, but listeners can't. So I
- 34:57can. I can milk. This for for a very short moment. Okay,
- 35:00let me get this plastic out of the way from the camera, out
- 35:05of the way. I'm off the microphone. This is very sweet on one
- 35:13hand, so clearly my father in law is supportive and has been listening to
- 35:19the show, and one of their common themes we've talked about on the show
- 35:22was finding a liquor bottle with a good cork noise. Right, Oh,
- 35:27what did he send you? So he sent me a liquor bottle with a
- 35:35really with a possibility of being a great coorse? Is that is that angel?
- 35:37Oh? It's Woodford Reserve. Yeah. Do you also notice the other
- 35:42interesting thing about this whiskey bottle that has supposedly a cool cork. It's empty.
- 35:47Ain't got no whiskey, it's empty. That's son of a bitch,
- 35:52drank the whiskey and send me the bottle. First of all, that's extremely
- 35:57kind, Dan, And you're being a very very rude gift receiver right now.
- 36:01No, he drank the whiskey. What is it legal for him to
- 36:07send whiskey over you know, state lines. He's done lots of illegal things
- 36:10in front of me. Why should he all of a sudden start caring.
- 36:15It's a very kind gift. Uh, Papa, Papa Tear's dad, Um,
- 36:22it's it's the Christmas edition bottle. Look on the back it even says
- 36:24Merry Christmas. Wait does this mean this is also my Christmas present this year?
- 36:35Damn their Damn the Marines and their and their ability to adapt and overcome.
- 36:39Try it out the cork, yeah, I guess yeah, because I
- 36:45can't try the whiskey. Hang on, Okay, it's got the pomp part,
- 36:51but I don't hear it's there. Okay, a little squeak, all
- 36:53right, it's not bad. It's not bad. Yeah, it would help
- 36:57if it was moist, and you know that's true. It swells a little
- 37:00bit and it makes more noise. Making sure we're still talking about the bottle,
- 37:05right, whatever the problem with with Woodford Reserve is is it's just it's
- 37:15a decent cork, but you need a quirk with a nice wide diameter.
- 37:20It's about like the mouth opening of the bottle and the cork diameter. Like,
- 37:25trust me, I've done way too much research into this crap. Because
- 37:29we had a limited number of gentlemen jack bottles and we went through all of
- 37:34them they were all either dried out, worn down, beat up, reassembled,
- 37:40repurposed, and we had to find replacements. And so I am if
- 37:45there is an expert on cork sounds in bottles, it's me, sir.
- 37:52I have a six year a chip that I'd like to disagree with you on
- 37:55that. What's what's your preference? Trey that is strong, Trey that's very
- 38:14strong, has one compelling argument? What was my favorite? Um Knob Creek
- 38:23has a good one. You have to find the one. Later bottles though,
- 38:27are the one point seventy five. I've always always been a fan of
- 38:30the OGD one seventeen or one fourteen, whatever the f it is. And
- 38:36right here I got Isaac Bowman. That's a good one. Mm hm.
- 38:45That's Isaac Bowman a bottle of liquor. Not just some dude name Isaac.
- 38:47No Isaac. Yeah, I kicked him out the other day. Get out
- 38:51of here. He's one of them guys like in space Balls that can make
- 38:54the funny noises. That's the name of the guy from Police Academy. It's
- 39:00Michael Winslow. Yeah. Why are you being such a such an awful gift
- 39:07receiver? Dan, I'm not I really do appreciate it, but I I
- 39:12I he gave me a hint and he had said, He's like, hey,
- 39:15I sent you something, but you may need to wet the cork a
- 39:19little now. Now I know why he said that, because he drank the
- 39:22whiskey but just sent me in the bottle. How much did it cost him
- 39:27to send that? I'm not sure the whiskey cost thirty nine ninety nine though
- 39:34it's a tag on there. But he had to pay for it to,
- 39:42you know, be transported from you know where, from Michigan, I guess
- 39:46to whatever island you're on. Yeah, Saint Thomas, what are you gonna
- 39:51send him back? Because now you gotta now you gotta return the favor.
- 39:52You gotta give him a gift back. Mm hmm. What if I just
- 40:00sent him some whiskey but no bottle, just a soaked envelope, You may
- 40:09you may need to wet this a little bit. Upon receiver. You're in
- 40:15the treehouse, visit us online at Treehouse OnAir dot com. Let's welcome in
- 40:37Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. That's Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com.
- 40:42Their phone number for any and all of your plumbing needs. Here in the
- 40:45treehouse is two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. That's two
- 40:49one four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. So today, Jacqueline,
- 40:52I was wondering if you could give you, if you could give me an
- 40:54example of a service that you provide at Brooks Plumbing that maybe most people don't
- 41:00realize. So we provide tankless water heater flushing. Now let me explain that
- 41:08to you. It's not a surprise. Most companies probably offer it, but
- 41:14nobody advertises it, not that I'm aware of, at least. And the
- 41:16reason why it's important is because you get all these big companies that want to
- 41:21sell you a tankless water heater because they promise you that you will never run
- 41:24out of hot water, which it's true for the most part, you shouldn't
- 41:28run out. But what they don't tell you, or forget sometimes to tell
- 41:31you, is that if you don't get that tankless flushed with this special chemical
- 41:36once every twelve to eighteen months, it'll build up in scale, it'll fail,
- 41:40you'll have to replace it, or you'll have to pay hundreds or thousands
- 41:45of dollars to get it fixed. And so you know if you want a
- 41:47tankless water heater, let whoever sell it to you, but don't forget to
- 41:51get it flushed. It's like two hundred and fifty dollars a year, and
- 41:53it'll prevent you from having to replace the entire thing when it just stops working
- 41:58all of a sudden one day. And it's again something that they don't tell
- 42:00you. If you don't believe me, google it. Do I need to
- 42:02flush my tankless water heater. And that's kind of something that people are also
- 42:07upselling on the backside, the tank style water heater. When I've gotten my
- 42:10house wink gwink, hint, hint, I'm not you know, I like
- 42:14the tank style. You don't have to flush those anymore. That's kind of
- 42:16a misnomer. They're self cleaning nowadays. So don't let anybody sell you a
- 42:21flush that you don't mean. But don't let anybody purposefully not tell you that
- 42:24you need to flush the other thing so it fails prematurely so that you can
- 42:29spend even more money with them. Do your due diligence, work with somebody
- 42:31who will tell you the truth. That's the goal, and you can do
- 42:36that simply by calling Brooks Plumbing two one four, three six, eight thirty

- 45:14I am very curious about your running with wildlife, but I did have
- 45:17one other thing to open. Uh for What's in the box? You don't
- 45:22need to play the thing already? Did it? Really? No? Now
- 45:25I want to play it, Dan, Now I want to play well.
- 45:27No, I figured you'd be interested in this because it actually is from my
- 45:30neurologist. Oh well, well, you can't have your your your brain scan
- 45:36results open without the what's in the box? Thing? Dan? All in,
- 45:38fine? Play it well now I don't want to play it. Fine,
- 45:42I was hoping the envelopes. Now I want to play it. Hold
- 45:45on, I have pulled it up for the first time. I gotta use
- 45:47it again. Good? What's in the box? What's in the box?
- 46:00Here? We are These are the results where we could find out how brain
- 46:04damaged you are from years of football and hitting yourself in the head with that
- 46:10that rubber band thingy. Yeah, let's not explain all that. But some
- 46:17of some of the some of some of my head trauma has been self inflicted,
- 46:21but a lot of things were also not self inflicted. It was other
- 46:23people's fault. I don't think that I don't know what this is. I
- 46:28don't think it's necessarily any results because when I went last month, when I
- 46:32was in town for our road show, I went to the doctor and it
- 46:37was basically just like a you know, a consultation. Was the first time
- 46:38I've met this neurologist, and it was more of like a Okay, let's
- 46:44you know, look at you and ask you some stuff and do like a
- 46:46little quick physical exam. He was supposed to refer me to a like an
- 46:52imaging place to get an actual brain scan, you know, and then maybe
- 46:58depending on what that found, also a longer form battery of testing. So
- 47:05I'm not exactly sure what this is. It shouldn't it better not be a
- 47:07bill because already paid him for that visit. So Texas and neurology something Sara,
- 47:15Dear patience, I am writing to inform you that I will be closing
- 47:19my prize. Oh god, is it me? I I go in for
- 47:39a consultation with a neurologist to see if I have, you know, brain
- 47:43damage, and he decides to quit. Is he going to jail? No?
- 47:52Hang you, no, don't let me. It wasn't me in the
- 47:55other case either. I am writing to inform you that I will be closing
- 48:01my private practice on in June and moving to a hospital role. Oh so
- 48:09grateful for years of working with wonderful patients in a field that I love.
- 48:14I only met you only met him once. That's good, though, because
- 48:16I mean you can still see him. He's just in the hospital now.
- 48:21Yeah. Well that means if I see him, it is mainly going to
- 48:23be because I'm there on an emergency basis. No, I mean you can
- 48:27uh maybe see him otherwise. Still, this also explains why I didn't get
- 48:34my actual referral to the imaging place. Did he just not do it?
- 48:39What? Uh? When? Yeah? He don't care about my brain?
- 48:45And if that guy, I gotta find another neurologist. Yeah, anyway,
- 48:55tell me about your running with wildlife. Yeah, I'm sorry to hear about
- 48:59your brain. Let's talk about goats pooping. Have either of you guys ever
- 49:05seen a goat poop? Yeah? Yes, yeah, really, I mean
- 49:10at different points in our lives. Trey and I both grew up in the
- 49:14country. Yeah, I had never seen a goat poop until yesterday. What
- 49:20you do? There was a There is actually a goat farm in Garland.
- 49:25I don't know if you guys know about this as a goat farm in Garland.
- 49:28It's this family that just has a goat farm and you can go out
- 49:30there and feed the goats. And one of my friends for their birthday,
- 49:34we're like, hey, let's just go to like a petting zoo, and
- 49:37we picked this goat farm and we go out there and it's just straight up
- 49:40a little property on the side of the road inside of a residential neighborhood and
- 49:45you honk your horn, the goats come up and you can just feed them
- 49:49and they have guidelined. H's playing fast and loose with those ccnrs untry.
- 49:52Oh yeah, is that a real joke. I gotta google CCNR no better,
- 50:00did clear Wattle. If you ever lived in a house that was in
- 50:04an HLA, you'd understand. Okay, So the family's had this property forever
- 50:09and ever in a bunch of houses popped up around them, and they've got
- 50:12goats there, and they say, hey, you can come out and feed
- 50:15the goats. So we, me and a couple of friends go out there
- 50:16and we take some celery and some carrots and feed these goats. Right,
- 50:21just a fun little Oh. Look, it's like a petting zoo. But
- 50:22you know, just goats. Ain't got no little piggies, ain't got no
- 50:28you know whatever. It's just goats. Just a goat farm. Yep.
- 50:31And there were some cute little baby goats. There was some you know,
- 50:36mid sized goats. There's some old ass goats out there too. Is this
- 50:39like one of those places you can go to do goat yoga? Do they
- 50:42do any of that new stuff or just go to feed the goats? It's
- 50:45just go to feed the goats and the goats are trained. Go ahead.
- 50:49Do they have any feinting goats? They do not. I was curious about
- 50:52that too, But no, it's there's not much to it. It's just
- 50:55a goat farm where they let you feed the goats. They're like, yeah,
- 51:00we'll take your free produce. Just no chocolate. That's it. That's
- 51:04the only guideline, all right, any of them, scream along to Taylor
- 51:07Swift. No, No, they were actually very well behaved. But they're
- 51:12goats, so they do goat things like they'll ram each other. I saw
- 51:16two baby goats nursing on a mama goat's teats, and these little a holes
- 51:23they'd latch onto a teat and they'd ram her while they were suckling. Oh
- 51:29my god, like like like like they would headbut the utter. Yes.
- 51:32Oh, After like two or three times, mama goat decides now I'm good.
- 51:37She just kind of steps on him and walks away. And that's the
- 51:44way you parent exactly, the just misbehaving. So mama goat just says,
- 51:46nope, detached, get off and kick him across the yard. These goats
- 51:53that they Among the things they did, we were pooping. Now. I
- 51:58had never seen a goat pooping until yesterday, So you guys may be very
- 52:01very well versed in this, but I was unaware a what goat poop looked
- 52:07like, which it's very kind of round and pellety like, looks like kind
- 52:10of like coffee beans or something like that. And yeah, don't put those
- 52:16in your grinder. No. They I figured they came out one at a
- 52:21time. I was very wrong about that. Right when I get there,
- 52:27I pull up, I got on my car, and I walk over to
- 52:29this fence where you can feed the goats. And there's an older goat standing
- 52:32there where its butt facing towards the roadway and this like this portal opens up
- 52:40on the backside of this goat. And I say portal because it's not just
- 52:45like a bee hole where like things getting extruded out. No, this is
- 52:50like an eye opening, a giant like three opening, and these coffee beans
- 52:59start pouring out, not one, not one at a time, but multiple
- 53:04at a time. They just start pouring out of this goat's rear. And
- 53:07the most jacked up thing to me is the eye just starts closing and there's
- 53:14still plenty of coffee beans inside. There is no end in sight to these
- 53:19coffee beans. It's just how how close are you to his ass? The
- 53:22goat's right by the fence, and the fence is right on the side of
- 53:25the road. It was the most horrific thing I've ever seen at a petting
- 53:31zoo. Like, yeah, I've been to the State Fair, I've been
- 53:34in the State Fair many times. I've been to petting zoos. As a
- 53:36kid, I had never seen this happening. It was terrific. I'm just
- 53:39not at Alfie that you finally got the full Garland experience. Follow all Things
