- Lucas: Ciao Luna, bentornata! Luna: Ciao Lucas! I'm so happy to be back. You know, I was thinking about our park walks — we described the sky, the trees, the flowers... Lucas: Yeah, we covered a lot. But we never talked about the seasons, 'le stagioni'. Luna: Oh, right! Like spring, summer, autumn, winter. That would be so useful. Lucas: Exactly. Let's start with 'la primavera' — spring. Spring is beautiful: 'La primavera è bella'. Luna: La primavera è bella. Lucas: Perfect. And if you like summer, you say 'Mi piace l'estate'. Luna: Mi piace l'estate. I love summer, so that one's easy. Lucas: Great. Then autumn: 'L'autunno è fresco' — autumn is cool. Luna: L'autunno è fresco. That's nice. And winter is cold, right? Lucas: Right. 'L'inverno è freddo'. Luna: L'inverno è freddo. Okay, let me practice all four. La primavera è bella. Mi piace l'estate. L'autunno è fresco. L'inverno è freddo. Lucas: Wow, that was smooth! You're really getting it. Luna: Thanks! So, if I want to say 'I like spring', I'd say 'Mi piace la primavera'? Lucas: Exactly. 'Mi piace la primavera'. And for winter, 'Mi piace l'inverno'. Luna: Even if it's cold? OK. So 'Mi piace l'inverno'. Lucas: Yeah. Let's make a little conversation. I'll ask 'Che stagione ti piace?' — which season do you like? You answer. Luna: Mi piace l'estate. Lucas: Ecco! And I'll say 'A me piace l'autunno'. Luna: Oh, 'A me piace l'autunno'. So 'a me' emphasizes 'as for me'. Lucas: Right. Now, you know, we've been doing these episodes for a while, and Fexingo has helped so many people make progress with Italian. Luna: Yeah, it's amazing. And one thing I really appreciate is that we keep the show ad-free. No annoying interruptions. Lucas: Absolutely. That's intentional. And if you find value in what we do, you can support the show at buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. It helps us keep it that way. Luna: Yeah, that's a nice way to give back if you can. OK, back to seasons! Let's practice a little more. Lucas: Let's do it. Imagine you're in a park in spring. What do you say? Luna: La primavera è bella! E i fiori sono belli. Lucas: That's great. 'I fiori sono belli' — the flowers are beautiful. You're using what we learned before. Luna: And in summer, 'Mi piace l'estate perché il sole splende'. Lucas: Perfect. 'Perché il sole splende' — because the sun shines. That's from our sky episode. Luna: I love how it all connects. So autumn: 'L'autunno è fresco e le foglie sono colorate'. Lucas: Oh, 'le foglie sono colorate' — the leaves are colorful. That's new! Luna: I learned 'foglie' from our tree episode. And 'colorate' I guessed. Lucas: Well guessed. And winter? Luna: L'inverno è freddo, ma mi piace la neve. Lucas: Ah, 'la neve' — snow. That's a new word too. Very natural. Luna: So today we learned 'la primavera', 'l'estate', 'l'autunno', 'l'inverno', and how to describe them. And how to say 'mi piace'. Lucas: Yes. Let's review: La primavera è bella. Luna: Mi piace l'estate. Lucas: L'autunno è fresco. Luna: L'inverno è freddo. Lucas: Great job. Now you can talk about seasons in Italian. Practice these phrases, and next time we'll build on them. Luna: Thanks, Lucas! This was fun. Ciao for now! Lucas: Ciao Luna, a presto!
