Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hi, guys.
- 0:02Speaker 2: This is Teddy Mellencamp and I'm joined by my friend
- 0:05Speaker 2: Emily Simpson for our new spin off show Popping Off,
- 0:09Speaker 2: where we are digging deep on this season of Banner
- 0:12Speaker 2: Pump Rules. All right, guys, welcome to another episode of
- 0:16Speaker 2: Popping Off with myself, Teddy Mellencamp and and Emily Simpson.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Thanks for joining us. We are excited.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I feel like, I mean, between this and the twats
- 0:27Speaker 2: the amount of headlines and things that have gone down
- 0:31Speaker 2: in the last I don't know, forty eight hours.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's in the Battle world, a lot in the
- 0:37Speaker 1: Bravo world.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I was thinking you had a lot to talk about
- 0:39Speaker 1: in your other podcast, your other headlines.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I was like, for like, and I feel like, at
- 0:45Speaker 2: any second, somebody else is going to get fired and
- 0:48Speaker 2: I'm going to have missed it and it's going to
- 0:49Speaker 2: be right after a pod and then I'm like, holy shit.
- 0:53Speaker 2: And then that led me to another question. If you
- 0:55Speaker 2: were to get fired, yes, how would you announce it?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Okay, that is a good question, And I think first
- 1:02Speaker 1: of all, I would be honest. I wouldn't be one
- 1:04Speaker 1: of those people where it's like, well, I just decided
- 1:06Speaker 1: that it was time for me to move on, I
- 1:09Speaker 1: would just be honest about it. Okay, they didn't ask
- 1:11Speaker 1: me to come back. And you know, I always told Shane,
- 1:16Speaker 1: when the stay comes, because this day will come eventually.
- 1:19Speaker 1: It just happens to all of us. At some point.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You expire at some point. I always said, just give
- 1:24Speaker 1: me like a week to just kind of like process
- 1:27Speaker 1: it and be sad, because it's sad. It's like the
- 1:30Speaker 1: end of an era, the end of something you've done
- 1:32Speaker 1: for a long time. And then I feel like I'll
- 1:34Speaker 1: be happy and relieved and excited to move on and
- 1:37Speaker 1: do something else.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, like it. You'll go through different different stages of grief, happiness,
- 1:43Speaker 2: whatever it may be. Right, Yeah, there is always that
- 1:46Speaker 2: like first part of rejection where like your feelings are
- 1:49Speaker 2: almost hurt.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Well, of course your feelings get hurt. They basically say
- 1:54Speaker 1: you're not what sit are done with, You are screen anymore.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So I mean there's no way to feel good about that.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, So even if it's not something you really enjoy
- 2:07Speaker 2: doing anymore in your life, it's still that, like any
- 2:10Speaker 2: form of rejection is hard exactly exactly.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And you know, to the women out there, the housewives
- 2:16Speaker 1: who have actually liked did Candice actually quit because didn't
- 2:18Speaker 1: she announce before the reunion that she wasn't coming back?
- 2:21Speaker 1: So I assume she quit. Is that what you think?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Well, I think that there's a pretty good chance that
- 2:28Speaker 2: she quit. But something that we talked about on Twatz
- 2:30Speaker 2: was at right before the reunion on Potomac, they said
- 2:35Speaker 2: to her, we don't want you to be so vitriolic
- 2:39Speaker 2: or whatever it is this reunion. And then as she's leaving,
- 2:45Speaker 2: she walks out and she says, you really want me
- 2:48Speaker 2: to be friends with this and looks at Giselle.
- 2:51Speaker 1: So I think what they're doing.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Like in this situation is regardless of somebody's quitting or not,
- 2:57Speaker 2: which quitting before, like at if you're pregnant does make
- 3:01Speaker 2: sense to me, right because especially with your first work,
- 3:06Speaker 2: you may probably want to enjoy that, like even with
- 3:08Speaker 2: the third was hard. But I mean, I don't think
- 3:10Speaker 2: you ever one hundred percent know. Andy did say, and
- 3:15Speaker 2: one person supposedly quit and one person.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Supposedly got or got fired.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Andy said he thinks he will see them both
- 3:22Speaker 2: back on Potomac. So I feel like they both may
- 3:25Speaker 2: have gotten a talking to and one may have taken
- 3:29Speaker 2: that talking to to say go kick rocks, and then
- 3:32Speaker 2: the other one.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Just you know, said I'll just take time off. Yeah
- 3:37Speaker 1: what you mean?
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. Has there ever been a housewife
- 3:41Speaker 1: that's actually quit, Well, not showing up to a reunion
- 3:45Speaker 1: means that you quit, Bethany, So Bethany Bethany quit LVP,
- 3:50Speaker 1: did not show up to a reunion. Okay, that's so
- 3:52Speaker 1: that was Lisa Vanner Pump that didn't show up.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I don't know that anyone that's not extremely wealthy has ever.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Did Lydia actually walk away her first season of OC
- 4:05Speaker 2: or is that what just was rumored?
- 4:08Speaker 1: I heard that she asked for a lot more money
- 4:11Speaker 1: going into her second season, so they told her to
- 4:14Speaker 1: go kick rocks.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that would make sense too. I think
- 4:17Speaker 2: also when people think that they're going to get more
- 4:20Speaker 2: than like whatever the standard, right, especially when you're in.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Your first one, two, three, four seasons, I don't really
- 4:26Speaker 1: feel like you have a negotiating power, no, and especially
- 4:30Speaker 1: when you're Lydia or that.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Sorry, was that an asshole.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Thing to say that?
- 4:39Speaker 2: I mean maybe they did end up having her back
- 4:42Speaker 2: at another point in time, but I don't think they
- 4:45Speaker 2: probably paid her tons more money to do so, but
- 4:49Speaker 2: is what it is. But speaking of being fired at
- 4:53Speaker 2: one point in time, this first headline is the Valley Star.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Jack's tail walks back on his claims that vander Pump
- 5:03Speaker 2: Rules is scripted, according to Deadline, I mean, this is
- 5:07Speaker 2: so good, this is I love it so As you know,
- 5:10Speaker 2: I have a big mouth and it gets me in
- 5:12Speaker 2: trouble from time to time, Taylor said on the latest
- 5:14Speaker 2: episode of When Reality Hits podcast, which he hosts with
- 5:18Speaker 2: his wife, Britney Cartwright. Cartwright noted that she was not
- 5:22Speaker 2: present at the bar where he hosted a viewing party
- 5:26Speaker 2: for the show, adding, do not group me in with
- 5:28Speaker 2: what he says. Jack's admitted certain people on the show
- 5:32Speaker 2: may rub me the wrong way from time to time,
- 5:34Speaker 2: but I should have never trashed the show like that.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Vander Pump has been and continues to be incredible TV,
- 5:40Speaker 2: and I will always stand by that. As many of
- 5:43Speaker 2: you know and have seen, I can overreact impulsively and
- 5:47Speaker 2: I just wanted to apologize for all that. I'm sorry, guys,
- 5:51Speaker 2: that was very wrong of me, he added. Honestly, couldn't
- 5:54Speaker 2: have been more wrong. It's the most authentic show out there.
- 5:58Speaker 2: There's nothing scripted it. You can't script this stuff.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I love how it's not just like an apology like
- 6:05Speaker 1: I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that. It's like an
- 6:07Speaker 1: apology that's like I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that.
- 6:09Speaker 1: It's the best television show on TV. It's amazing, it's iconic.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I was so wrong. Like, clear clearly he got in
- 6:17Speaker 1: some trouble.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Like, clearly he got in some trouble. But the way
- 6:20Speaker 2: that he is so excited about vander Pump been talking that,
- 6:25Speaker 2: it almost sounds like he's being facetious, like shore buddy. Yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 2: Like now you're seeming a little over the top with
- 6:34Speaker 2: your right, like you want me to apologize?
- 6:36Speaker 1: All right, here you go. I'm sorry. It's the best
- 6:39Speaker 1: show ever. It's not scripted, scripted, what how do you
- 6:45Speaker 1: script this stuff? Wait? Is this a dumb question? But
- 6:48Speaker 1: does this mean that he's doing a podcast with his
- 6:51Speaker 1: wife when they're no longer together? Yes, so like they're separated. Hey, attention,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'm a I've been filming a TV show. Oh is
- 7:00Speaker 1: that shade? Yes?
- 7:02Speaker 2: It is.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I don't have time to sit around and look at
- 7:07Speaker 1: all this instagram headlined like you do?
- 7:10Speaker 2: Oh? Right. I know, it's just oh, it's just so effortless.
- 7:15Speaker 2: But yes, no, they do a podcast together. They've also
- 7:18Speaker 2: been doing press together but doing press separately where we
- 7:21Speaker 2: got a lot of information.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So Jack said Sena was an quote absentee parent at
- 7:26Speaker 1: that same event, Shena responded, Jax made a disgusting comment
- 7:30Speaker 1: about me and was saying some untrue things about Vanner
- 7:33Speaker 1: Pump rules. But what bothered me the most was he
- 7:36Speaker 1: was at his self named bar Jax's seemingly drunk, probably
- 7:41Speaker 1: had a lot of pasta that's in quotes that night
- 7:44Speaker 1: to eat, and he said he had the audacity to
- 7:47Speaker 1: say that I'm always out partying and leaving my child
- 7:50Speaker 1: to be raised by my mother. But also it's just
- 7:52Speaker 1: so far from the truth and he should know this,
- 7:54Speaker 1: She continued, starting to cry. Ninety five percent of the
- 7:57Speaker 1: time when i'm Ali usually is a word thing, and
- 8:00Speaker 1: it's also after I put my kid to bed, and
- 8:03Speaker 1: it's so frustrating because I'm like, yes, I do do
- 8:05Speaker 1: a lot of stuff, and I do go out often,
- 8:07Speaker 1: but I can't make plans before nine pm. And if
- 8:10Speaker 1: that means I'm going to be tired the next day,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm still going to wake up and with my kid
- 8:15Speaker 1: in the court.
- 8:16Speaker 2: So I mean, one, I hate that she has to
- 8:21Speaker 2: defend herself or working or going out or whatever it
- 8:25Speaker 2: may be. I just think of all the parents, all
- 8:29Speaker 2: the people to judge somebody's parenting. Jack's maybe this isn't
- 8:33Speaker 2: year realm.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yeah exactly. And you know, when you're on a show,
- 8:37Speaker 1: you're obligated to do a lot of press and do
- 8:39Speaker 1: a lot of things. I mean, I have mom guilt too.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm sure you did as well. Yeah, but that's it's
- 8:44Speaker 1: a career. It's you do have to do a lot
- 8:47Speaker 1: of things. You do have to do press, you do
- 8:48Speaker 1: have to be seen, you do have to answer questions
- 8:51Speaker 1: and be out and about. But I think that she
- 8:55Speaker 1: has a good point that a lot of things she
- 8:56Speaker 1: does is after the kid goes to bed, and she said,
- 8:58Speaker 1: you know, she wakes up the next morning with no
- 9:00Speaker 1: matter how tired you are, that's what you do as
- 9:01Speaker 1: a mom.
- 9:02Speaker 2: And also I think the part that you know, people
- 9:05Speaker 2: can fite back on as being like, oh well no,
- 9:08Speaker 2: she was at Coachella, that's not work. But what everybody
- 9:12Speaker 2: has to remember is these events, like I don't even
- 9:15Speaker 2: know what event she was at But let's say it's
- 9:17Speaker 2: the Celsius event at Coachella. Most likely, if there are
- 9:21Speaker 2: people there from reality television at those events, it's because
- 9:26Speaker 2: it's a sponsored event and they are being paid to
- 9:29Speaker 2: be there, right, So.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I'm not saying it was Celsius. I can't remember.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I saw so much Coachella content that I like blacked
- 9:36Speaker 2: it all out. But you have to make it. If
- 9:40Speaker 2: you solely are making money from doing a television show
- 9:43Speaker 2: and you don't figure out other ways to bring income,
- 9:46Speaker 2: generate income, you're going to run out of money. So
- 9:49Speaker 2: you have to take the opportunities that you are given
- 9:51Speaker 2: while you are given them, exactly. Like I just feel like,
- 9:56Speaker 2: clearly Jax was on a good one that night. I
- 9:59Speaker 2: don't know if it was the pasta, but I do
- 10:02Speaker 2: think like, okay, so let's get back.
- 10:04Speaker 1: To the PASA. Didn't Rachel Raquel on a podcast, didn't
- 10:07Speaker 1: she confirm that passa was actually passive? And now she
- 10:10Speaker 1: is saying Pasa isn't really pasta?
- 10:13Speaker 2: Well, and then I feel like Lala once said that
- 10:15Speaker 2: pasta was positive, but then maybe Rachel said pasta no.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I don't know. Do we believe Rachel about everything? Though?
- 10:22Speaker 1: I mean, I guess she's not a very valid source
- 10:25Speaker 1: of information, so maybe not, but or maybe PASA has
- 10:29Speaker 1: just become the code word for other things, regardless of
- 10:31Speaker 1: what it meant originally.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, maybe they were pissed about the bolognais originally,
- 10:38Speaker 2: but I mean they all have said it really is pasta.
- 10:41Speaker 2: But I think she's just the same way that in
- 10:43Speaker 2: this episode she does a song about the Jedda and
- 10:48Speaker 2: the blah blah blah, like alluding to whatever. Like I
- 10:51Speaker 2: don't think she was doing any eluding. Yeah, it's not
- 10:55Speaker 2: implying if you just say it explicitly. Yeah, I mean,
- 10:59Speaker 2: but I do think that Jack's probably has the personality
- 11:02Speaker 2: type when he is drunk at his bar and some
- 11:06Speaker 2: and everybody's up there, like, you know, fanning over him.
- 11:11Speaker 2: If that's what's happening, he is going to just put
- 11:16Speaker 2: on a show and say whatever shit he can say
- 11:20Speaker 2: about anybody. Like, I don't think he's thinking about the repercussions.
- 11:24Speaker 2: But I thought that him and Shea were friends. So
- 11:27Speaker 2: that's where it's a little bit confusing to me. Well
- 11:31Speaker 2: clearly not now, well clearly not now. But I just
- 11:35Speaker 2: I don't know why he even needed to say that.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It just yuck.
- 11:39Speaker 2: It gave me the yuck. But then also her sena
- 11:42Speaker 2: blowing up what pasta is is also confusing to me.
- 11:46Speaker 2: So now I need we need to really talk to
- 11:49Speaker 2: Katie when she comes on about pasta.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I feel like she'll tell us the truth. You want
- 11:53Speaker 1: to get a real clear answer on the pasta.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yes, and if it is pasta, what kind of pasta
- 11:59Speaker 2: was it? Was it? Seely?
- 12:01Speaker 1: Was it pennae?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Was it spaghetti? Like?
- 12:03Speaker 1: What pasta was.
- 12:06Speaker 2: On? Was it mac and cheese? I mean, what are
- 12:11Speaker 2: we really talking about here? Does it have truffles on it? Like?
- 12:14Speaker 2: I need to know, like how upset we could get
- 12:17Speaker 2: over a pasta? Because I could get pretty upset over
- 12:19Speaker 2: a pasta? Well I would too, absolutely, Yeah, Like I
- 12:22Speaker 2: don't want people taking bites of something that I really
- 12:24Speaker 2: thinks delicious exactly.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Oh god, gosh, those are fighting actions.
- 12:29Speaker 2: That is a fighting action. This next one, this was
- 12:44Speaker 2: hard for me. This was a hard one for me.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Joe appearing on the Rachel Goes Rogue podcast and talks
- 12:51Speaker 2: about the singles to night she went to a shorts. Okay,
- 12:55Speaker 2: my first question is because I have not listened to
- 12:58Speaker 2: the Rachel goes roe podcast, but I'm assuming one of
- 13:02Speaker 2: the producers on this pod probably does, so maybe they
- 13:06Speaker 2: can shed some light on This is her podcast recapping
- 13:11Speaker 2: vander Pump Rules. Yes, okay, this is where I am
- 13:17Speaker 2: really confused. I know we are going to be talking
- 13:20Speaker 2: about Joe and whatnot, and I realized that I am
- 13:23Speaker 2: no longer on a television show and I am recapping
- 13:27Speaker 2: these shows. That being said, I never went to a
- 13:31Speaker 2: mental health facility to get over the trauma that I
- 13:37Speaker 2: had on the said television show, nor were there any
- 13:41Speaker 2: lawsuits filed nor any of those things. I really am
- 13:45Speaker 2: having a hard time wrapping my head around somebody wanting
- 13:49Speaker 2: to free themselves of this negativity, of this life, of
- 13:54Speaker 2: these things that happened, and then recapping it on their
- 14:00Speaker 2: podcast talking about these people.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Well, yeah, it's basically inserting yourself back into their lives
- 14:06Speaker 1: but from a safe distance. But how is that healthy?
- 14:10Speaker 1: Because everyone is going to hear it and comments on it. Now.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I mean, we're watching Sandoval listen to all four episodes
- 14:18Speaker 1: or whatever of her podcast and then reacting to it.
- 14:23Speaker 1: It's like she's like the wizard behind the curtain, you
- 14:25Speaker 1: know that, like get the comments on everything and watch it,
- 14:30Speaker 1: but then also say she can't be involved in it
- 14:32Speaker 1: because of mental health issues. Yeah, it's amazing.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I guess it's her way to get her narrative across
- 14:39Speaker 2: without actually getting in the dirt with the cast.
- 14:41Speaker 1: But is that sure?
- 14:43Speaker 2: I don't know. But I also I think if you're
- 14:47Speaker 2: gonna I understand why she wanted to do the first
- 14:49Speaker 2: four talking about Tom and talking about her experience, But
- 14:52Speaker 2: then I thought the podcast was going to move on
- 14:56Speaker 2: from vander Pump rules and talk about other things and
- 15:00Speaker 2: whether she is or she isn't. I just find it
- 15:04Speaker 2: odd stating the things that she has stated, and it
- 15:08Speaker 2: makes me, well, then I it made me because you know,
- 15:11Speaker 2: I have all this time on my hands. According to Emily,
- 15:14Speaker 2: it made me go on to the Rachel Goes Rogue
- 15:18Speaker 2: Instagram page and read the comments and what did you learn?
- 15:22Speaker 2: I mean a lot of people are eating her.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Alive in these comments.
- 15:26Speaker 2: And I'm like, I thought you wanted to be done
- 15:30Speaker 2: with the toxicity, So why are we talking? Why are
- 15:34Speaker 2: you talking about it? I brand the toxicity. I'll do
- 15:37Speaker 2: anything for pay, So you want to pay me, I'm
- 15:40Speaker 2: open to doing it. But to say I want to
- 15:44Speaker 2: be done with it and then talking about it.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I don't get it. So you think she's a hypocrite
- 15:50Speaker 1: because she says she's not able to be on the
- 15:52Speaker 1: show because she wants away from the toxicity, but then
- 15:54Speaker 1: she inserts herself back in it and allows people to
- 15:57Speaker 1: comment and react, which is all toxic.
- 16:02Speaker 2: And then as Joe appear on the pod, where not
- 16:06Speaker 2: only does Joe talk about Schwartz, she also talks about Tom,
- 16:10Speaker 2: Like even the conversation about the singles event where Joe's like,
- 16:14Speaker 2: sorry to say this in funny you and then Rachel's like, oh,
- 16:17Speaker 2: I don't care, but like we were there to support
- 16:21Speaker 2: Sandoval on his singles night, and then they like are
- 16:24Speaker 2: recapping the dates and if Rachel's still in rehat, like
- 16:27Speaker 2: all of it is just but these are the big
- 16:31Speaker 2: takeaways that I got. Joe claims that Schwartz told her
- 16:35Speaker 2: off camera that he was going to take a yellow
- 16:37Speaker 2: or a red wristband at Singles Night, indicating he's taken
- 16:41Speaker 2: or it's complicated, but when they got there, he asked
- 16:44Speaker 2: for a green wrist band out of nowhere. Then Joe
- 16:48Speaker 2: was protective over the hat he almost gave to that
- 16:50Speaker 2: girl because it's a special hat that his dad gave
- 16:53Speaker 2: to him. She says he lied about having more in storage.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Then she says that she and Shorts were dating at
- 16:59Speaker 2: the time and she was staying at his apartment the
- 17:02Speaker 2: whole time. He came home that night and lied about
- 17:05Speaker 2: kissing anyone, so Joe had to find out from production
- 17:08Speaker 2: months later when she did her confessional. But then Joe
- 17:11Speaker 2: said two different things on this podcast. She first said
- 17:14Speaker 2: I was already in bed sleeping in the extra bedroom
- 17:17Speaker 2: when he got home. But then she said something along
- 17:20Speaker 2: the lines of like, well, I was walking the dogs
- 17:23Speaker 2: and did this and blah blah blah, and like Joe,
- 17:28Speaker 2: the first sign is if you walk into a singles
- 17:30Speaker 2: thing and the guy that you think you're dating puts
- 17:34Speaker 2: on a he's single. You don't need to stay any
- 17:36Speaker 2: longer and manage his hat or his hair or anything else.
- 17:41Speaker 1: You need to move out. You need you need to
- 17:44Speaker 1: not stay there. You need to stop sleeping with him.
- 17:47Speaker 2: You need to stop sleeping with him, you need to
- 17:50Speaker 2: stop coloring his hair, you need to stop walking his dogs.
- 17:55Speaker 2: You need to maybe not say how much you love
- 17:59Speaker 2: him and what a r time Brent she is on Instagram.
- 18:03Speaker 2: And then go on Rachel's podcast and talk about him
- 18:06Speaker 2: and what a liar he is.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I don't get it. Oh Joe, Yo Joe.
- 18:15Speaker 2: But Joe didn't do any of this. I saw on
- 18:17Speaker 2: any of the clips. No, any of the clips that
- 18:21Speaker 2: was that was confusing to me.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Tom Schwartz has openly started dating a twenty three year
- 18:28Speaker 1: old Sophia Scorro, and their eighteen year age gap is
- 18:31Speaker 1: not stopping Shorts from gushing about his new girlfriend. In
- 18:35Speaker 1: an interview with Access Hollywood, Schwartz opened up about Scorro
- 18:38Speaker 1: and how she's not just his new girlfriend. She also
- 18:41Speaker 1: has a vintage clothing store, Short said, shop so Scope.
- 18:46Speaker 1: But he also talked about what makes her so special
- 18:49Speaker 1: and why he's dating her, saying she's just really effing cool.
- 18:53Speaker 1: She's charismatic and clever and kind of unconventionally funny. He
- 18:57Speaker 1: even admitted, so, I saw her photo. If she's twenty three,
- 19:02Speaker 1: I'm twenty three because she looks eleven.
- 19:07Speaker 2: She I mean, I was, she looked like she could
- 19:11Speaker 2: be slates age. She looks so young. He also says
- 19:15Speaker 2: she's way cooler than me, and even though he is
- 19:17Speaker 2: still going through his breakup with Joe, Weinberg over their situationship.
- 19:23Speaker 1: He is apparently very happy.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I'm happy, said, it's kind of new and exciting, and
- 19:27Speaker 2: I kind of feel at peace for the first time
- 19:29Speaker 2: in a long time. It's been really pleasant. She's just
- 19:32Speaker 2: a bad ass human being. Do we think this is
- 19:37Speaker 2: why Joe has gone rogue and went on the pod
- 19:40Speaker 2: and said all these things because she's pissed about Soasco
- 19:44Speaker 2: and the unconventionally being funny and.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Absolutely now see mystery salved. She was happy to defend him,
- 19:52Speaker 1: and then now she knows that like he was making
- 19:54Speaker 1: out with people at singles night, and I think she
- 19:57Speaker 1: realized that he was never really into her. That she
- 19:59Speaker 1: put a lot of time effort into this relationship hoping
- 20:02Speaker 1: that there was going to be something between them at
- 20:05Speaker 1: the end, and when she realized that there was a
- 20:07Speaker 1: lot of investment on her part and none on his,
- 20:09Speaker 1: She's like, f off, Now I'm going to go on
- 20:11Speaker 1: this podcast and talk about what a liar you are.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I mean, I can't imagine that at this point. Do
- 20:16Speaker 1: you think they have a friendly relationship at all?
- 20:19Speaker 2: I don't know. I can't. I don't know how. It's
- 20:23Speaker 2: kind of hard. I think even seeing Haitie and Shortz
- 20:28Speaker 2: to have an unfriendly relationship with him because he pretends
- 20:31Speaker 2: to be just such a puppy dog. Whether he is
- 20:33Speaker 2: or he is not, I don't know, but I do
- 20:37Speaker 2: think he told Joe repeatedly he did not want to
- 20:40Speaker 2: be in a relationship with her.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I think so too, But I think that he continues
- 20:44Speaker 1: to allow her to live there, and I think he
- 20:46Speaker 1: also says I love you while he's also saying I
- 20:48Speaker 1: don't want to be in a relationship with you, and
- 20:50Speaker 1: then they sleep together.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Joe also says that when he gets drunk, he likes
- 20:54Speaker 2: to make out with people, which then I'm like, Joe,
- 20:57Speaker 2: if you know this, you know that means that also
- 21:01Speaker 2: can be you. Like, when he gets drunk, he wanted
- 21:04Speaker 2: to hook up with you, right, Like, I think that
- 21:08Speaker 2: goes all the ways. But yeah, I was finding it
- 21:14Speaker 2: just a little interesting. I was like, what happened to
- 21:15Speaker 2: that Instagram post where she said I'll love you no
- 21:18Speaker 2: matter what? What did she call him again? Tea money?
- 21:21Speaker 1: T money?
- 21:22Speaker 2: Yeah, money, and he calls her Joseph.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Joseph. That's very sexy. That's what I would want to
- 21:28Speaker 1: be called as a female. Joseph Joseph like Emiliano for
- 21:34Speaker 1: me great, I'd love it if Shane called me.
- 21:37Speaker 2: That Emilio get over here.
- 21:39Speaker 1: So who knows?
- 21:40Speaker 2: I have a feeling if Vandon Pump Rules comes around again,
- 21:45Speaker 2: we'll see Sophia. But in the meantime, we're going to
- 21:49Speaker 2: be watching this situationship. I'm guessing more throughout Vandon Pump Rules.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Right now, we are recapping season eleven, episode twelve. The
- 22:06Speaker 2: episode starts off with Sheena at Kyle Chan's store to
- 22:09Speaker 2: shoot a new music video for Good as Gold featuring
- 22:12Speaker 2: the twenty sevens. Arion and Lalla show up. They're going
- 22:16Speaker 2: to make appearances in the music video first and foremost.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I have an ignorant question. Okay, well, do you know
- 22:22Speaker 2: who the twenty sevens are? And should we know? No?
- 22:27Speaker 1: And why are they twenty seven? Are there twenty seven
- 22:29Speaker 1: of them? Or are they all aged twenty seven?
- 22:32Speaker 2: Are they? Yeah? They do? They wish they were twenty seven?
- 22:35Speaker 2: Are there lucky numbers two and seven? Like I just
- 22:40Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm assuming is.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Twenty seven the age in Hollywood when most of the
- 22:45Speaker 1: famous actors died, like Remote Phoenix and Amy Winehouse. And
- 22:50Speaker 1: there's a lot of them.
- 22:51Speaker 2: What was it?
- 22:52Speaker 1: Is it age twenty seven? I don't know that.
- 22:55Speaker 2: If that, if you're right on that, I'm honestly, like
- 22:59Speaker 2: very impressed that you would know such him. Yes, you
- 23:01Speaker 2: are right twenty seven clubs, so maybe that's why. But
- 23:06Speaker 2: do you really want to be in a band that's
- 23:07Speaker 2: about when people die?
- 23:09Speaker 1: I don't want to be in that club.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I don't. I don't need to.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I hate to break at you and you.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Past the claw?
- 23:15Speaker 1: Is there a forty nine club? Because I don't want
- 23:17Speaker 1: to be in that one?
- 23:21Speaker 2: But then Katie sends a picture saying she's not going
- 23:26Speaker 2: to make it because she's sick. But I'm like, Katie,
- 23:28Speaker 2: if you're going to send a deathbed pick like, you
- 23:30Speaker 2: need to smear your makeup like a little bit more red.
- 23:33Speaker 1: That's a hot sunbie, I'm sick.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I was like, gosh, even cruise does better? Uh? All
- 23:44Speaker 2: like mom, I'm sick holding his thermometer up to like
- 23:47Speaker 2: the layup, trying to warm up the heat. But yes,
- 23:51Speaker 2: they shoot the music video, which I do have to
- 23:54Speaker 2: say that song is catchy.
- 23:56Speaker 1: It is catchy, But when did she write this song?
- 23:59Speaker 1: Was it a long time time ago? So long ago?
- 24:02Speaker 1: And she's just now making the music video.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Mm hmm, it's over ten years ago, so this is
- 24:09Speaker 2: a remix with the twenty sevens.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I see, okay, got it?
- 24:13Speaker 2: I see? I see.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I also was confused why.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Arianna and Sheena both had sparkly outfits but Lala just
- 24:23Speaker 2: had a black outfit.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I don't think there was any coordinating, like maybe there
- 24:28Speaker 1: wasn't a costume memo that went out. It was like
- 24:30Speaker 1: just show up and dance.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I was also kept maybe this was like an editing thing,
- 24:36Speaker 2: but I kept waiting for their mouths to actually match
- 24:39Speaker 2: the words, but it didn't happen. So now I guess
- 24:42Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to go back and watch. Has the
- 24:44Speaker 2: music video been released? Do we need to watch it?
- 24:47Speaker 2: I need to see it, and it's final for we.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Need to recap the music video.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Oh maybe this was for that like uber commercial. Remember
- 24:55Speaker 2: they did so the uber commercial made good as gold
- 24:58Speaker 2: like bigg because remember right after Scandabal, they did good
- 25:05Speaker 2: as Gold with the Uber So I think they're just
- 25:08Speaker 2: capitalizing on the song's popularity.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I guess I get it. That makes sense.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Now we get Alli and James.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Allie tells James that Rachel is blaming him for Hippie's behavior.
- 25:18Speaker 1: On her podcast, Rachel also claims she was really upset
- 25:22Speaker 1: after her breakup with James and she never actually loved Tom.
- 25:26Speaker 1: You believe that, No, I don't believe that. I think
- 25:30Speaker 1: that she keeps saying that she never loved Tom because
- 25:32Speaker 1: she feels like that's what she needs to.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Say, whether it was real love or satuation. I do
- 25:40Speaker 2: think she went from one not great relationship to another
- 25:43Speaker 2: not great relationship. But to say she never loved him,
- 25:47Speaker 2: I'm like, so you just created all this shit storm
- 25:51Speaker 2: for fun, for giggles, for some guy you don't care about. Yeah, Like,
- 25:56Speaker 2: at least if you said yeah, I mean, I was
- 25:58Speaker 2: wrong and I realized how Tom of our relationship was,
- 26:01Speaker 2: but I thought I was in love with him.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I feel like saying that she was in love with
- 26:05Speaker 1: him would justify the behavior more than saying she never
- 26:08Speaker 1: cared about him. Yeah, saying you never saying she never
- 26:11Speaker 1: cared makes it very lase fair, very flippant, like she
- 26:14Speaker 1: doesn't care that she does ruined people's lives for just
- 26:18Speaker 1: some guys she didn't care about. Well.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I also think it's her way of still wanting to
- 26:24Speaker 2: get into both James and Tom's head, yes, because at
- 26:31Speaker 2: this point now we see later in the episode that
- 26:34Speaker 2: they get in a fight over this, but also Tom
- 26:37Speaker 2: Santoval is clearly very upset by this statement. YadA, YadA, YadA.
- 26:44Speaker 2: But then we still get into James and Ali talking
- 26:47Speaker 2: about their future.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Wait, can I say one more thing? Though, she's actually
- 26:51Speaker 1: very intelligent if she figured this out a way for
- 26:54Speaker 1: her to not be on the show, but to be
- 26:55Speaker 1: on the show, like she's figured out a way for
- 26:58Speaker 1: her to have a podcast and be in a lot
- 27:00Speaker 1: of the Like everything going on in this episode this
- 27:03Speaker 1: time was based upon them hearing things that she said
- 27:06Speaker 1: on a podcast, yet she's not on the show, Like
- 27:09Speaker 1: that was I don't know if that was diabolical on
- 27:13Speaker 1: her part or she knew that she was going to
- 27:15Speaker 1: be able to affect them that way by having a podcast,
- 27:17Speaker 1: but like, is she that smart or does this.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Just happen to happen that way? Well, I mean, I
- 27:23Speaker 2: feel like I don't know how many times has to
- 27:27Speaker 2: teas and a pod been brought up on OC this
- 27:30Speaker 2: season in general, I don't know.
- 27:34Speaker 1: I haven't I mean been brought up.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yes, it has, Yes, So I think there is a
- 27:41Speaker 2: formula at this point, people know, like I know on Jersey,
- 27:46Speaker 2: like their podcasts get brought up like there. At this point,
- 27:49Speaker 2: podcasts are out there enough that you know that you
- 27:52Speaker 2: speak about things, it's going to happen.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I just wonder if she knew how much of an
- 27:57Speaker 1: effect her podcast would have on their behavior and conversations
- 28:02Speaker 1: while they were filming.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I guess that's my question. Well, I think it the
- 28:07Speaker 2: release date was not probably an accident, true, if you
- 28:13Speaker 2: are going I mean, the Bethany interview was a huge
- 28:16Speaker 2: deal when it first came out, the interview that Rachel
- 28:18Speaker 2: did with Ben Ray, so I think it followed up
- 28:21Speaker 2: from that. She got herself a deal and then capitalized
- 28:24Speaker 2: on it. But then the part that I thought was
- 28:27Speaker 2: confusing as something else that she said was you know,
- 28:30Speaker 2: at first when La La called her, she thought Laala
- 28:35Speaker 2: legitimately was checking on her, But then she realized watching
- 28:39Speaker 2: back on the show that it was for the show.
- 28:42Speaker 2: And I'm like, well, so is this Yeah, exactly, it's
- 28:46Speaker 2: all for the show, right if you want to move on,
- 28:50Speaker 2: like and I know I'm repeating myself, but if you
- 28:52Speaker 2: want to move on from something and you never want
- 28:54Speaker 2: to talk at about it again.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Then you wouldn't talk about it, you would you would
- 28:58Speaker 1: move on, and you wouldn't talk about it. Then you
- 29:00Speaker 1: talk about it, and you're you're capitalizing on it just
- 29:03Speaker 1: like she is.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Which you which in your first four episode said you
- 29:07Speaker 2: had a major problem with people capitalizing on this. But anyhow,
- 29:13Speaker 2: then we get into Ali and James talking about their
- 29:17Speaker 2: future together where Ali kind of says that she hasn't
- 29:21Speaker 2: ever thought about having kids or getting married, and James
- 29:24Speaker 2: starts to.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Cry, Yeah, I actually I actually thought this was really sad,
- 29:29Speaker 1: and I kept thinking to myself, have they never had
- 29:32Speaker 1: a serious conversation about what they would both want in
- 29:36Speaker 1: the future? Like was he sincerely shocked by the fact
- 29:40Speaker 1: that she was like, I don't know if I ever
- 29:41Speaker 1: want to get married really have kids? But he was crying, well,
- 29:46Speaker 1: so so did that just? Has that just never come up?
- 29:49Speaker 1: Like they've been together a year and a half and
- 29:51Speaker 1: they lived together, but there's never been any conversation about
- 29:54Speaker 1: a future.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Then I also don't understand really what this statement means. Listen,
- 29:59Speaker 2: I wouldn't be with you if I didn't see a future, right.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Yeah, but what kind of future? Does that future include
- 30:07Speaker 1: marriage and children? Or does that future just include living
- 30:11Speaker 1: in this house.
- 30:12Speaker 2: It is a show, yeah, I'm gonna say, Or the
- 30:15Speaker 2: future is the future of us being on this television
- 30:18Speaker 2: show and me launching my singing career right putting up
- 30:21Speaker 2: with your shit and my star charts.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Don't forget those.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Having said, I do really like Ali, I think that
- 30:28Speaker 2: she probably isn't I believe there's a big age gap
- 30:33Speaker 2: between the two of them, or maybe I'm just making
- 30:34Speaker 2: that up in my head, but yeah, I mean, she
- 30:37Speaker 2: may not be there yet and he is just coming
- 30:40Speaker 2: out of being engaged to somebody that it didn't work out,
- 30:44Speaker 2: So I'm assuming she probably needs more time before she
- 30:48Speaker 2: decides what that future entails. And I think when I think, also,
- 30:54Speaker 2: it's very tricky when you talk about moving in together
- 30:56Speaker 2: when somebody doesn't live in your town, you move in
- 31:00Speaker 2: together in order to be in the same location, you
- 31:07Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. Like, it's not like they both
- 31:09Speaker 2: lived in la and she moved in she lived I
- 31:13Speaker 2: think it was Indiana or somewhere in the Midwest to
- 31:18Speaker 2: my knowledge, I could be wrong, but to my knowledge,
- 31:21Speaker 2: and then when she moved out here, she you know,
- 31:25Speaker 2: did that. And Ali was also on a reality show
- 31:30Speaker 2: prior to called The Valley. It's also called The Valley,
- 31:37Speaker 2: the First Valley. It's an old reality show. Oh, I
- 31:41Speaker 2: remember seeing clips about this, but I don't remember that. Well,
- 31:44Speaker 2: so we'll have to go down that rabbit hole in
- 31:46Speaker 2: another day. Well that's interesting. It was on the CW.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Oh that's a younger crowd than what I'm used to.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I mean Ali is twenty eight, so she's
- 31:57Speaker 2: young compared to the rest of the cast.
- 31:59Speaker 1: I forget how old they are sometimes because I still
- 32:02Speaker 1: picture them as like servers, like they like they just
- 32:05Speaker 1: came to LA and they're like, you know, serving and bartending.
- 32:10Speaker 1: And then I realized they're like in their forties. They're
- 32:13Speaker 1: my age, and I have four kids.
- 32:15Speaker 2: I know they are my age. But then Ariana Lala
- 32:24Speaker 2: Sheen are also talking about Rachel's new podcasts and the
- 32:28Speaker 2: lies she is spreading on there. The lies Rachel claimed
- 32:34Speaker 2: Ariana and her weren't close, but the vander Pump flashbacks
- 32:37Speaker 2: and Arianna say otherwise. Sheena's pissed because Rachel only contributed
- 32:42Speaker 2: a thousand dollars towards rent she never stopped. What is
- 32:46Speaker 2: up with these people caring? I don't know.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I don't understand why that's right. I don't know. That's
- 32:50Speaker 1: very very petty.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Like get over it, and that she had sex in
- 32:55Speaker 2: her bed. But I couldn't help myself. But under this
- 33:00Speaker 2: entire scene, whose was sitting on the table.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I didn't even notice that.
- 33:05Speaker 2: You're very aware it's called obsessive compulsive disorder.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Yes it is, I said, very aware. You say, oh CD,
- 33:15Speaker 1: I got it. Who do you think it is?
- 33:18Speaker 2: I know I already. I mean, I'm it could be
- 33:22Speaker 2: multiple people's.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Well there's only three of them, right, yeah, well okay,
- 33:28Speaker 1: I would say, is it law loss? No, but she's
- 33:31Speaker 1: she's gonna have a baby, so she's going to be healthy.
- 33:34Speaker 1: It's Sheena's.
- 33:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I'm not going to out somebody's vaping in this moment.
- 33:42Speaker 2: This may have been a moment where maybe Sheena didn't
- 33:45Speaker 2: need to step in. This could have maybe just normally
- 33:48Speaker 2: I'm not happy to hear ariana side of things, but
- 33:51Speaker 2: in this particular setting, I didn't need Shena to be
- 33:55Speaker 2: upset about the rent. Clearly you told her she could
- 33:57Speaker 2: stay at your place.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Right, and if she only contributed a thousand dollars, you
- 34:02Speaker 1: were okay with that. That was you were fine with
- 34:04Speaker 1: that contribution because you didn't have a problem with it
- 34:06Speaker 1: at the time.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, So, and I believe I remember there was
- 34:11Speaker 2: all this back and forth about the cat and the
- 34:13Speaker 2: litter and the I mean all of it, Okay, And
- 34:16Speaker 2: clearly Rachel's claiming that she wasn't close with Arianna because
- 34:19Speaker 2: again what we talked about before.
- 34:20Speaker 1: If she says they were close, that makes her look
- 34:23Speaker 1: even worse.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 1: So if she says I didn't love Tom and Arianna
- 34:28Speaker 1: and I weren't close, she's trying to distance herself from everything.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Why can't she just say Arianna and I had a relationship.
- 34:40Speaker 2: But clearly, when I started everything with Tom, I pulled
- 34:44Speaker 2: myself away because I felt guilty. I felt back like
- 34:48Speaker 2: just at least explain to us the actual dynamics. But
- 34:52Speaker 2: both of them claiming that you know, Tom that he
- 34:55Speaker 2: wasn't close with Ariana at the time, and Rachel claiming
- 34:58Speaker 2: she wasn't close to Di at the time.
- 35:00Speaker 1: That whole story is bothersome. Yeah, I agree.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Then we get to the sperm donor party, which you
- 35:16Speaker 2: can see, like Lisa Vanner Pump really doesn't she did
- 35:20Speaker 2: not want to support Laala on this event, but she
- 35:23Speaker 2: did like did you see your.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Face at the bar? Oh, she was relocked up. She's like, wait,
- 35:26Speaker 1: we're really doing this. Wait, there's really sperm. We're really
- 35:29Speaker 1: doing penn the sperm on the huha, Like this is
- 35:32Speaker 1: really happening in my backyard.
- 35:34Speaker 2: But then yeah, and then she also was like, even
- 35:38Speaker 2: just when Lala was bringing it up in the first place,
- 35:40Speaker 2: to have the party, like Laala had to start crying
- 35:43Speaker 2: and saying like, please, don't try to change my opinion
- 35:46Speaker 2: on this, like I really want.
- 35:47Speaker 1: To do this right.
- 35:49Speaker 2: And that's when Lisa was like, then probably Lisa thought
- 35:51Speaker 2: on her head, Okay, Lala's already sober, so this won't
- 35:53Speaker 2: cause a big problem in the show by her not drinking.
- 35:57Speaker 1: So she'll be fine. We got this.
- 35:59Speaker 2: She'll be fine, She'll be fine, She'll be able to
- 36:02Speaker 2: continue producing, and all will be fine. She asked Ariana
- 36:08Speaker 2: to have it at her house. I almost ship my
- 36:10Speaker 2: pants when said the house is a hot mess. And
- 36:14Speaker 2: then it was even messier than normal.
- 36:16Speaker 1: It was horrible what happened. I swear every time I
- 36:21Speaker 1: see that house, I feel like I accidentally ended up
- 36:24Speaker 1: in an episode of Hoarders. Every time.
- 36:27Speaker 2: I mean, life without Anne is a disaster. How can
- 36:31Speaker 2: you just not pick your shit up? How can you
- 36:35Speaker 2: have Christmas gifts and boxes and wet towels like all
- 36:41Speaker 2: of it, like be like the rest of us and
- 36:44Speaker 2: just put all your shit in one cabinet that you
- 36:46Speaker 2: don't want to deal with and that you pretend you're
- 36:48Speaker 2: going to want one day.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Exactly. I have a guest bedroom with a guest closet
- 36:52Speaker 1: and it is full of shit. Every time people mail
- 36:54Speaker 1: me stuff, I put it in that closet.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and then we tell ourselves that we're going to
- 36:58Speaker 2: do something with it, and they do not things. No, no, yeah, no.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Occasionally it becomes a regift situation. But that's it.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I did love the sperm Donor party, though I actually
- 37:09Speaker 1: got a little teary eyed.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I love I love this entire story. I
- 37:15Speaker 2: love everything that La La saying.
- 37:17Speaker 3: I it makes me so I don't know, it makes
- 37:23Speaker 3: me emotional to think how much she's was hurting is
- 37:27Speaker 3: hurting in regards to ocean, and why that has.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Ultimately made her probably feel softer.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's I mean, that's a lot to deal with,
- 37:38Speaker 1: and I'm and she doesn't really expand on it, but
- 37:40Speaker 1: I can't imagine what That's why every time I want
- 37:43Speaker 1: to divorce Shane, I dis backpedal because I'm like, then
- 37:46Speaker 1: I'd have to Then I'd have to share custody of
- 37:49Speaker 1: my children with him, and I'd have to work things
- 37:51Speaker 1: out with him, and I have to like we'd have
- 37:53Speaker 1: to switch vacations and holidays, I know, And then you'd.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Have to decide if you're going to be the type
- 38:00Speaker 2: that like one person gets Christmas Eve, the other person
- 38:02Speaker 2: gets Christmas Day, or if it's going to be you
- 38:04Speaker 2: get Thanksgiving and you get the Christmas right, or do you.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Split the day or do you let them come over
- 38:10Speaker 1: and watch the kids open presence even though you don't
- 38:12Speaker 1: really want them in your house, but that's probably what's
- 38:15Speaker 1: best for your kids.
- 38:16Speaker 2: No, thank you, no, thank you. No, it's a lot
- 38:19Speaker 2: of shit. But I do you know everybody voting on
- 38:22Speaker 2: the same guy?
- 38:23Speaker 1: Is it?
- 38:24Speaker 2: But am I such an asshole that in the middle
- 38:26Speaker 2: of it, I was like, can we get a pick? Yeah?
- 38:28Speaker 1: I also have picks, I know, but they don't do that.
- 38:31Speaker 1: You can't out these guys. They're not going to donate
- 38:33Speaker 1: sperm if they're big pictures out there for everyone to
- 38:36Speaker 1: see you.
- 38:36Speaker 2: True, I did hear. I don't know if I heard
- 38:39Speaker 2: this on the show or I heard this on La La,
- 38:42Speaker 2: like on a clip or something, but she did say
- 38:45Speaker 2: she did not want to actually see pictures of the
- 38:48Speaker 2: guys grown up, but she did look at their baby pictures.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Oh well that's cute. Isn't that interesting? So that she
- 38:55Speaker 2: could kind of pick somebody that looked similar to Ocean, I.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Think, yeah, yeah, well that's cute. I like that me too.
- 39:02Speaker 2: What about when Sandoval shows up to Short's house and
- 39:06Speaker 2: he's feeling shells shot, Sandoval breaks down. Sandoval has cried
- 39:10Speaker 2: more than like I cried. I'm a big crier.
- 39:13Speaker 1: But he says we should have a running tallly of
- 39:17Speaker 1: how many times Sandival's cried this season, because it's a lot. Yeah,
- 39:20Speaker 1: so he's having a cry.
- 39:22Speaker 2: He listened to the podcast hearing her says she never
- 39:26Speaker 2: loved him, shook him to the core after everything they've
- 39:30Speaker 2: been through, she'd at least want to give it a
- 39:32Speaker 2: shot because of how much he loved her. But at
- 39:35Speaker 2: this point, Shorts kind of like, you loved Doriana as well? Yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 2: Like he does call her out on this, then guess
- 39:45Speaker 2: what Sandoval's late again to go to Tom Tom for brunch.
- 39:51Speaker 1: But I feel like, I feel like, well, I don't know,
- 39:54Speaker 1: maybe it's his editing, but it seemed to me like
- 39:56Speaker 1: Lisa walks in and was only there a couple of
- 39:59Speaker 1: minutes before she and me he was thirty minutes late.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Unless she was just hanging around.
- 40:04Speaker 2: What do you think she was doing dishes in the back?
- 40:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean maybe she was just like sweeping up
- 40:08Speaker 1: or something. That's why I didn't see her on camera.
- 40:12Speaker 2: But I mean, I also am having a little bit
- 40:15Speaker 2: of a hard time seeing Shorts walking around looking like
- 40:18Speaker 2: radioactive Ken Like, it's when are we going to get
- 40:23Speaker 2: that change?
- 40:24Speaker 1: Like a buzz cut. He looks like Kate plus eight.
- 40:28Speaker 2: K plus eight. Then he also shares that he has
- 40:34Speaker 2: not accepted Arianna accepted the offer of Santabel buying out
- 40:40Speaker 2: the house, and now we hear that he can't buy
- 40:42Speaker 2: out the house. He doesn't know if he wants about
- 40:44Speaker 2: the house or he can afford to buy the house.
- 40:46Speaker 2: And then he asked Shortz to be his roommate and
- 40:48Speaker 2: pay six.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Thousand dollars a month. I know, I was like, where
- 40:52Speaker 1: where are you you are? All over that He's all
- 40:54Speaker 1: over the place, He's all over the map. I mean
- 40:57Speaker 1: sometimes when I feel like I'm actually siding with Tom,
- 41:00Speaker 1: then he goes and says something ridiculously stupid like this,
- 41:02Speaker 1: and then I'm like, oh, right back at square one again.
- 41:05Speaker 2: No, sometimes I think I'm siding with Tom and then
- 41:07Speaker 2: I see a sound check.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I okay.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Then we get to Seena and Rock cleaning up over
- 41:18Speaker 2: at Ariana's house. This scene, I was like, I don't know,
- 41:24Speaker 2: very nice of Shena, and wait, where do you think
- 41:28Speaker 2: that came from?
- 41:29Speaker 1: Do you think they honestly together thought we need to
- 41:31Speaker 1: go over there and clean up, or the producers were like,
- 41:33Speaker 1: can you go over to our house and clean up?
- 41:35Speaker 1: Because we have to film there and we don't want
- 41:37Speaker 1: to get a disease. So if you guys could just
- 41:40Speaker 1: go and like wipe it down, maybe put some shit away.
- 41:44Speaker 2: I think they the producers probably said to Shina, if
- 41:50Speaker 2: you want to talk about your new song apples, we
- 41:53Speaker 2: have a way for you to do it. In exchange,
- 41:55Speaker 2: you have to go take over Anne's job and clean
- 41:58Speaker 2: up Santabal and Ari on his home so it's more
- 42:01Speaker 2: accessible to film it because our camera crew can't get
- 42:04Speaker 2: through the hallways.
- 42:08Speaker 1: It has become dangerous for us.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Yeah, so I'm excited to hear what this Apple song
- 42:15Speaker 2: comes to be. But I do think maybe Brock and
- 42:20Speaker 2: Sheina should have worn masks why they did this clean
- 42:22Speaker 2: up and gloves.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Maybe he has matsuits, like, let's just just has matsuits.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Just be safe, just either way.
- 42:32Speaker 2: And then I love that Arian is just sitting there.
- 42:33Speaker 1: She's like, all right, you guys want to clean up.
- 42:35Speaker 2: No, she doesn't even helped. She's like, I'm not touching.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Those are his water. But then did she say he
- 42:42Speaker 2: likes it room timp I was like, you care what
- 42:44Speaker 2: temperature he likes his water?
- 42:46Speaker 1: I don't remember that bart, I remember someone saying that. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:50Speaker 1: because because she was like, let's put these in the refrigerator.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Then we're at sound check where James shows up
- 42:58Speaker 2: to check on Sandoval's well being, which didn't actually see
- 43:01Speaker 2: what he was doing.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't seem that way at all. It really
- 43:05Speaker 1: didn't have the vibe of a wellness check to be
- 43:08Speaker 1: I mean, he checked him, but not such a It
- 43:11Speaker 1: wasn't a wellness check.
- 43:13Speaker 2: James saying he doesn't think Rachel and Santival were ever
- 43:16Speaker 2: in love. Sandoval denies it, trying to prove they were
- 43:19Speaker 2: in love. The two start to yell each other and
- 43:21Speaker 2: James says he won't be opening for Santoval's band because
- 43:26Speaker 2: he's moved on to better things. He calls the band
- 43:29Speaker 2: a joke. Santaval tells James to go push buttons on
- 43:32Speaker 2: a laptop. Like both of these guys in this setting,
- 43:41Speaker 2: I'm not really sure why, Like, did he just want
- 43:45Speaker 2: to go over it and like stick it to Tom
- 43:46Speaker 2: that Rachel is potentially still in love with him.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I think so. I felt like it was a little
- 43:53Speaker 1: bit of vindication for him, a little bit of revenge
- 43:56Speaker 1: he was going to take that. Yeah.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Then he's like, and this band's a joke. Yeah, I
- 44:03Speaker 1: have thatt our things could do.
- 44:05Speaker 2: I have better things to do, even though three scenes
- 44:07Speaker 2: before we saw him like listen, you know the del
- 44:10Speaker 2: Rey or.
- 44:11Speaker 1: The l Yeah, it's an iconic spot, there's a lot
- 44:15Speaker 1: of history there. This is a good gig for me.
- 44:18Speaker 1: He's like, I have better.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Things to do, but he is. He's like one of
- 44:21Speaker 2: those like string dolls, you know, the dolls you hold
- 44:24Speaker 2: up but then when one of the strings breaks, then
- 44:26Speaker 2: like everything goes out of control, and you're like.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Like, is that a marionette? Is that what it is?
- 44:31Speaker 2: Yeah? Maybe, but he just he can't control anything that
- 44:34Speaker 2: comes out of his mouth. Schwartz goes over to Sandoval's
- 44:37Speaker 2: housewhay arian is at the sperm donor party and.
- 44:42Speaker 1: The weekend the glimpse of Sandoval's new assistant.
- 44:45Speaker 2: In a matching outfit that was like, I was thank you,
- 44:48Speaker 2: thank you for wearing the same exact outfit. Guys.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Yeah, is that a band member who is now an assistant?
- 44:55Speaker 1: Is he a twenty seven club member? He's just like, Hey,
- 45:01Speaker 1: you're already playing in my band, So why don't you
- 45:04Speaker 1: just come over and clean my house too?
- 45:06Speaker 2: Why don't you come over? Were are the same outfits?
- 45:08Speaker 2: Make me tease, walk on an incline on the treadmill,
- 45:11Speaker 2: and let's be best friends and can't you paint my nails?
- 45:15Speaker 2: But is Anne working for Ariana? Ra Anna is gone? Now?
- 45:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think we clearly know where
- 45:21Speaker 1: Anne went and if she was fired or quit, and
- 45:24Speaker 1: if she's working for Ariana or not. I feel like
- 45:27Speaker 1: that whole situation was messy and we don't really know.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Okay, so we're going to clearly it looks like their
- 45:32Speaker 2: dining room table. But then Santoval gives Shorts the pomposition
- 45:36Speaker 2: about moving into the house. I really feel like what
- 45:39Speaker 2: this is is like we're giving a pitch for season twelve,
- 45:43Speaker 2: and us living together is.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Going to give the people what they want. Yeah, would
- 45:46Speaker 1: you like to move into my house? Maybe you have
- 45:48Speaker 1: a shot on OC next season. I have a house
- 45:53Speaker 1: guest I have a guest room.
- 45:57Speaker 2: We're fighting because she's only contributing a thousand dollars a
- 46:00Speaker 2: month and only rese out the toilet paper once and
- 46:03Speaker 2: never put any batteries.
- 46:04Speaker 1: It's never bought any batteries.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Bitch. Hey Edwin, I'm sorry. I'm gonna be gone for
- 46:11Speaker 2: four months. I'm moving into Emily's. Well, then then we
- 46:17Speaker 2: do get the pin the sperm on the vagina, the
- 46:20Speaker 2: whole sperm donor party. I did really like. I am
- 46:24Speaker 2: excited for La La, I'm excited to meet the baby.
- 46:27Speaker 2: I also wonder what this will mean going forward when
- 46:30Speaker 2: she has the baby and filming, because you know, Ocean
- 46:33Speaker 2: can not film, so if she's going to not film
- 46:37Speaker 2: either to keep it the same, Yeah, you.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Know that's interesting. I actually kind of deal with that too,
- 46:42Speaker 1: But it's just it's with my stepdaughters because one of
- 46:45Speaker 1: my stepdaughters lives with us full time. She's lived here
- 46:47Speaker 1: since she was fourteen, but her mom won't sign off
- 46:50Speaker 1: on it. So then it becomes awkward sometimes because I mean,
- 46:54Speaker 1: she understands, but if we're filming at home with Shane,
- 46:57Speaker 1: me and the three kids, she can't be there. Yeah,
- 46:59Speaker 1: she has to be in her bedroom, 're not home.
- 47:02Speaker 1: And then but that's not by my doing or Shane's.
- 47:05Speaker 1: It's on the other side, right, and there's something you
- 47:08Speaker 1: can do about it, exactly.
- 47:10Speaker 2: But Donor Number one is the winner by a landslide,
- 47:13Speaker 2: and La La officially has her baby daddy.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Would number one have been your pick? I think?
- 47:20Speaker 2: So?
- 47:21Speaker 1: I think number one was the standout definitely.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess we already covered this next part. But
- 47:30Speaker 2: then it ends with Tom. Tom has officially started serving brunch.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Short says it's five years and the making Laala and
- 47:38Speaker 2: Katie get vulnerable with each other, which this was a
- 47:42Speaker 2: little Lala says she's upset that they drifted apart in
- 47:47Speaker 2: her and ariannor each other's number ones now, and then
- 47:51Speaker 2: they both agree to make more time for each other.
- 47:53Speaker 2: But then Laala doesn't have the time. But then Katie like,
- 47:57Speaker 2: what do you thinks going on here? You know?
- 48:00Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know. I feel like it's one of
- 48:01Speaker 1: those conversations you have because you have to resolve things
- 48:04Speaker 1: and you have to have these conversations on camera. But
- 48:06Speaker 1: I don't know if either one of them is that
- 48:08Speaker 1: invested yeah, to actually want to make the effort. I
- 48:14Speaker 1: feel like it was maybe a forced conversation. I don't know.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Well, I am curious also, like I'll ask Katie when
- 48:23Speaker 2: she's on, but is she a baby person? Like? I
- 48:26Speaker 2: have certain.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Friends, yeah, that.
- 48:31Speaker 2: You know, that I was friends with before having kids,
- 48:33Speaker 2: and that I see now occasionally because we make an
- 48:37Speaker 2: effort to go on a hike or do something. But
- 48:39Speaker 2: they are not like super kid people, so like they're
- 48:42Speaker 2: not going to come, like hang out with me and
- 48:44Speaker 2: my kids if they don't have kids themselves, because it's
- 48:47Speaker 2: not you know. So I do think relationships do shift
- 48:51Speaker 2: when one person has a child and another person doesn't.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Well, I agree with that too, because I have Most
- 48:56Speaker 1: of my friends have kids, and I feel like it's
- 48:58Speaker 1: easier to be friends with women who have children because
- 49:00Speaker 1: they understand. But I have a couple friends who don't
- 49:02Speaker 1: have kids, and they annoy me because and not on purpose,
- 49:06Speaker 1: but they just it's it can be annoying because sometimes
- 49:10Speaker 1: you just it's just different places.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Different complaints, different things to stress about, different amounts of
- 49:18Speaker 2: like understanding, timing, all that kind of stuff. But I mean,
- 49:21Speaker 2: I also have friends that don't have kids that love
- 49:24Speaker 2: to come over and hang out with me and my
- 49:26Speaker 2: kids because they love kids. So I think we need
- 49:29Speaker 2: to get to the bottom of that with Katie. But
- 49:31Speaker 2: you can see that they're both is hurt there, Well,
- 49:33Speaker 2: what would your guest be? I would say, she doesn't
- 49:35Speaker 2: seem like a kid person to me. To me either,
- 49:38Speaker 2: so that's what I'm curious about. But that could just
- 49:40Speaker 2: be misreading it because she has that ability to kind
- 49:44Speaker 2: of be a loof be aloof, But I think that's
- 49:47Speaker 2: just a protection.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Yeah, could or could not be true.
- 49:51Speaker 2: I don't remember because I didn't watch all the beginning seasons.
- 49:54Speaker 2: I don't remember hearing her and Shorts talking about wanting
- 49:58Speaker 2: to start a family or anything like that. But could
- 50:01Speaker 2: be wrong.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Then why do you think it took five years to
- 50:05Speaker 1: make brunch? I don't know.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Our eggs harder to make.
- 50:10Speaker 1: I don't know. I was like, I feel like brunch
- 50:11Speaker 1: seems like an easy route to go, like it's in
- 50:15Speaker 1: the morning.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Maybe it has to do something with like an alcohol license,
- 50:19Speaker 2: Like I think there are some places that you can serve.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Alcohol, but it has to be in the evening evening.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Okay, that was totally what I think is hard about
- 50:28Speaker 2: that kind of stuff. So maybe it took a while.
- 50:30Speaker 2: And clearly, if you're going to tom Tom, you're going
- 50:33Speaker 2: to need a drink as well, so not everybody's going
- 50:38Speaker 2: to be fine with just the sparkling water. But then
- 50:42Speaker 2: this next part, Sena walking over to Shorts and Sandoval
- 50:45Speaker 2: about her new song, and then once Sandoval realizes it's
- 50:49Speaker 2: about the fair, he storms out. He thought his relationship
- 50:52Speaker 2: with Sheena was getting better, but a friend wouldn't profit
- 50:56Speaker 2: off his misery. I mean, let's be honest, I need
- 50:59Speaker 2: to hear the song before we know if anybody's making Okay,
- 51:04Speaker 2: so it's a TBD. This is to be determined, and
- 51:09Speaker 2: I love that She's like, oh, I thought you would
- 51:11Speaker 2: have heard it already, like the whole that was very awkward.
- 51:14Speaker 1: That entire exchange, like where on iTunes on Spotify? Where
- 51:20Speaker 1: where would you hear it.
- 51:21Speaker 2: Maybe she posted it on her Instagram. I don't know,
- 51:25Speaker 2: but I mean now I want to hear it. Is
- 51:27Speaker 2: it out, guys? What I've already had the opportunity to
- 51:31Speaker 2: hear it other than when she sang it on the phone?
- 51:33Speaker 1: Pay it? I don't know if we have to trademark it.
- 51:37Speaker 2: What if we had to pay money to have it
- 51:39Speaker 2: on What if it was our theme song, like you know,
- 51:41Speaker 2: on the Hills, so it was like unwritten by yeah, yeah, well,
- 51:49Speaker 2: you know, guys, that's another episode of Van back later
- 51:53Speaker 2: in the week to recap the Valley. We couldn't do
- 51:55Speaker 2: both today. We just we're just too much, too tired too.
- 51:58Speaker 2: It's just a lot.
- 52:00Speaker 1: We have a lot to do with very interesting lives.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Yeah, we are just so booked up that we're going
- 52:07Speaker 2: to recap the Valley later and let's hope that the
- 52:09Speaker 2: Valley is giving.
