- 0:51Speaker 7: About what you promote for show. I go by the
- 0:53Speaker 7: name of Dream. What that is my name? Name Dream?
- 0:55Speaker 8: I go by certified Dream. I represent the North side
- 0:58Speaker 8: of Atlanta. The owner of Dreams at L started as
- 1:02Speaker 8: a promoter, been rocking out here in Atlanta for twelve
- 1:05Speaker 8: years now and made a lot of people a lot
- 1:07Speaker 8: of money.
- 1:08Speaker 1: So I decided to open up my own You always
- 1:10Speaker 1: and he with my camera. He pays on time.
- 1:13Speaker 4: He definitely.
- 1:19Speaker 6: Right yeah, it's gonna be some fives and tens in that,
- 1:24Speaker 6: but you.
- 1:24Speaker 7: Know, for sure, for sure.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Oh man, uh K Bachi partner with Sauce Buckhead n
- 1:32Speaker 5: barat Lounge on Auburn Avenue brand curation over twenty years,
- 1:36Speaker 5: experience in nightlife, entertainment, clubs, festivals, reality, television, radio.
- 1:43Speaker 2: You know, man, did it all?
- 1:46Speaker 6: I like to say with you, we have synergy because
- 1:48Speaker 6: we kind of came up at the same time.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:51Speaker 6: It was literally at the time it was only three
- 1:53Speaker 6: hosts four. It was Kenny Burns, Obi the promoter, me
- 1:56Speaker 6: and you.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, for sure, that's it. I actually was thinking
- 1:59Speaker 5: about that.
- 2:01Speaker 1: You came. What was that first liquor deal we had?
- 2:05Speaker 7: What was it?
- 2:05Speaker 5: Hennessy?
- 2:06Speaker 1: No, it was before Hendersy. What something else?
- 2:08Speaker 7: Bro?
- 2:08Speaker 6: What's the long word post some type of vasia or
- 2:13Speaker 6: some ship like that.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Actually, Cavosit for me came after Hennerson.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:16Speaker 5: My first thing was was Hennessy.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So we did do Hennessy. Okay, we did?
- 2:20Speaker 7: Okay, Okay.
- 2:21Speaker 9: Sure some time, uh J atl been promoting prayer probably
- 2:29Speaker 9: surprisingly like fifteen years, Bro. I got to see Atlanta
- 2:32Speaker 9: really like I went from teen parties to eighteen to
- 2:35Speaker 9: kind of under people to leading things like Manchin the
- 2:39Speaker 9: line on Friday and seeing all those developed and now
- 2:42Speaker 9: I'm kind of doing my own thing and really bringing
- 2:45Speaker 9: Atlanta back into what it was then. You know, don't
- 2:49Speaker 9: you got a big as billboard in the city, show
- 2:52Speaker 9: a couple of couple of billboards.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I really be on the you know, the BMF type, Yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 2: Gorilla market.
- 2:56Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:56Speaker 2: And then Finn to open a spot on Edge with a.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Hey, Okay, you're You're very important to the fabric of
- 3:03Speaker 6: the culture of Atlanta because you do the parties that
- 3:06Speaker 6: you do. I feel like they're still parties. We'll get
- 3:09Speaker 6: into this, We'll get into this in the conversation. But
- 3:11Speaker 6: I feel like everybody want to get fucked up at Joe.
- 3:15Speaker 6: A lot of people, a lot younger. And what do
- 3:17Speaker 6: you want to do when they go out? They want
- 3:19Speaker 6: to turn up dance.
- 3:22Speaker 7: They don't care about no sections.
- 3:23Speaker 1: They don't care about no section and the sections are
- 3:25Speaker 1: damn their cheapest. Fuck.
- 3:26Speaker 5: I didn't know that.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Until later on or left. I was like, wait, okay,
- 3:30Speaker 1: so go.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Ahead BT all right, So mister l BATCHI, what do
- 3:36Speaker 4: you have to say?
- 3:37Speaker 3: What What was the part of the interview that you
- 3:40Speaker 3: did not like or discipline.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Listen, let me say this first and foremost, I'm not
- 3:44Speaker 5: I'm an equal opportunity when it comes I'm an equal
- 3:46Speaker 5: opportunitist when it comes to, you know, giving people they
- 3:49Speaker 5: flowers and the things that they do in our business.
- 3:53Speaker 5: And I've known you guys for a long time. I've
- 3:55Speaker 5: seen both of you develop, you know what I'm saying,
- 3:57Speaker 5: respectfully into your craft and you know kind of how
- 4:00Speaker 5: many your skills and you know, year after year continue
- 4:04Speaker 5: to elevate. But I guess the the issue that I
- 4:09Speaker 5: had is that when I was watching certain interviews, I
- 4:12Speaker 5: kept hearing like the same sentiment, like it kept going
- 4:14Speaker 5: back to the promoter, as if like for one reason
- 4:16Speaker 5: or another, we were kind of like the issues like
- 4:18Speaker 5: whether it was the DJs, whether it was the owners.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Remember y'all had my older brother on here with shout
- 4:24Speaker 5: out my bro batching long story by the name Abe
- 4:28Speaker 5: and Biddy, and so you know, I watched that dope interview.
- 4:33Speaker 5: It kicked off the conversation, and then after that you
- 4:37Speaker 5: had the DJs, and then from there it was the
- 4:43Speaker 5: Penny Lane Sugar she and the other young lady, and
- 4:47Speaker 5: I kind of kept hearing like a similar storyline, like
- 4:49Speaker 5: everybody has their experiences. And I remember thinking back there
- 4:53Speaker 5: was this it's this age old argument. It happens like
- 4:55Speaker 5: once a year on you know, social media. Definitely who's
- 4:58Speaker 5: more important the only the promoter or the DJ And
- 5:03Speaker 5: then the answer would be, well, when the dj unplugs
- 5:06Speaker 5: the music, then there is no party, And I'm like,
- 5:08Speaker 5: how you get to that point? And so yeah, like listening,
- 5:12Speaker 5: and to be perfectly honest, I hate the term promoter
- 5:15Speaker 5: because it's so much more to the business and the
- 5:18Speaker 5: skill set in which we bring to the table to
- 5:20Speaker 5: just be simple labeled as a promoter. Yes, we do
- 5:22Speaker 5: promote the event, but in its essence, we're curators, you
- 5:26Speaker 5: know what I'm saying, We're creatives, and so I think
- 5:29Speaker 5: I agree with that. I think sometimes the position in
- 5:32Speaker 5: which we play, don't we don't get our just due,
- 5:35Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. And I think over time,
- 5:37Speaker 5: me being from it, you know, from the city. I'm
- 5:39Speaker 5: from College Park, south Side, born and raised here, although
- 5:43Speaker 5: you know my parents are African, but having seen the
- 5:46Speaker 5: city transition through so many errors, the content has always
- 5:49Speaker 5: been the need for promotion. I don't care how big
- 5:52Speaker 5: the DJ is, I don't care how pot in the
- 5:54Speaker 5: club is, because we all know in here clubs have
- 5:57Speaker 5: a very short shelf life. You might get five year run.
- 6:01Speaker 5: But guess what I can always do as a curating,
- 6:02Speaker 5: as a promoter for your shit slow down, I'm gonna
- 6:05Speaker 5: go to the next spot. We're gonna turn this spot up.
- 6:08Speaker 5: And when that, you know, you you lose your look
- 6:11Speaker 5: of license that don't follow me, I'm gonna go to
- 6:12Speaker 5: the next spot. And so we develop and build a
- 6:15Speaker 5: fan base in the audience that follows us because we bring,
- 6:18Speaker 5: you know, a certain level of quality quality to the event,
- 6:22Speaker 5: and I think sometimes it gets lost and in all
- 6:25Speaker 5: of the bs that people tend to talk about, what
- 6:28Speaker 5: struck me particularly that made me even get my Twitter
- 6:31Speaker 5: fingers going is like, and I'm gonna say this because
- 6:35Speaker 5: I don't know how y'all gonna try to edit this up,
- 6:37Speaker 5: but like, I have no issues when nobody. I love everybody, man.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Say what you want to say.
- 6:42Speaker 5: It was like I overheard the DJ saying, oh, then
- 6:45Speaker 5: the promoter, I'll try to tell you, you know, to do
- 6:47Speaker 5: this and and play like that, and I'm like, yo,
- 6:49Speaker 5: at the end of the day, I've I don't think
- 6:51Speaker 5: more people have hired promoters than what we were doing
- 6:54Speaker 5: when I was doing Bookerloo. You know what I'm saying.
- 6:57Speaker 5: I did Boogoloo for ten years and we had a
- 6:59Speaker 5: five DJ rotations.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Every Sunday, y'all, two on this side.
- 7:03Speaker 1: One Sunday you had like twenty people, you see what I'm.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Saying that, And it was just going back and forth.
- 7:08Speaker 5: So we would have three on the main side, two
- 7:10Speaker 5: on the other side. And so I'm gonna study this
- 7:13Speaker 5: shit because you know, this is how you know what
- 7:14Speaker 5: I'm saying, This is how to take care of my folks.
- 7:16Speaker 5: And and I would look at and be like, Yo,
- 7:18Speaker 5: half the time, the DJ y'all not even paying attention
- 7:20Speaker 5: to the crowd. You know what I'm saying. I'm not
- 7:22Speaker 5: saying every DJ, but a lot of DJs they're so
- 7:25Speaker 5: consumed within themselves, like Yo, stick your head up, put
- 7:29Speaker 5: the hookah tip down, put your drink down, and look
- 7:31Speaker 5: at the crowd. Nobody's bobbing their head but you. So
- 7:35Speaker 5: I have to understand, like, when it comes to hiring
- 7:37Speaker 5: the DJ, who am I going to pick that that
- 7:40Speaker 5: makes sense to the crowd that I'm bringing in I
- 7:42Speaker 5: know my crowd better than you do for sure.
- 7:44Speaker 1: So I want to I want to give them some time.
- 7:46Speaker 9: So my thing we're speaking on DJs, I just feel
- 7:51Speaker 9: like the DJ nowadays is either you cloud chasing or
- 7:55Speaker 9: you money hungry. And it's a certain circle of DJs
- 7:58Speaker 9: that are you know, they don't do that, and that's
- 8:01Speaker 9: who that's who we're gonna hire forever.
- 8:02Speaker 7: Real.
- 8:03Speaker 9: It's not about the price, it's not It's about yo.
- 8:06Speaker 9: If I I book a DJ, right, we're gonna go
- 8:08Speaker 9: on a run. We're gonna do this party. We might
- 8:11Speaker 9: be six months in next thing.
- 8:12Speaker 8: I know.
- 8:13Speaker 9: Man, he on tour with such and such that happens.
- 8:16Speaker 9: They don't think about, Oh well, what about Shanika that's
- 8:20Speaker 9: gonna be twirking in the front row. She can't talk
- 8:22Speaker 9: to my music no more? What about Jamorrow? Who gotta
- 8:24Speaker 9: Now I gotta find a new DJ. And guess what this?
- 8:26Speaker 9: I can continue the same thing or they money hug
- 8:28Speaker 9: you where. But it's one o'clock and I'm hearing Joe
- 8:33Speaker 9: blow from down the street music because he done d
- 8:35Speaker 9: M you and now he done paid you five hundred
- 8:38Speaker 9: a week to play his music. Yeah, bro, so like
- 8:41Speaker 9: I don't think they understand like you know, we care
- 8:44Speaker 9: about it. It's not about like, oh, I'm I'm gonna
- 8:47Speaker 9: take who's who's burning who or who's gonna cut this.
- 8:50Speaker 9: It's like nah, Bro, it's just about who's gonna stay
- 8:52Speaker 9: consistent because you're gonna have your off nights.
- 8:54Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 8:54Speaker 9: I don't expect Lebron or nobody go out there and
- 8:57Speaker 9: drop forty every game, but I expect consistency.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Bro.
- 9:00Speaker 9: Right, if I'm if I'm feeling on the sideline, I
- 9:02Speaker 9: need you to be Jordan in the in the club, Bro,
- 9:05Speaker 9: that's it. And if you're not gonna be Jordan, okay, cool,
- 9:08Speaker 9: I gotta guess what, Bro, I gotta go find another one.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And that's it.
- 9:11Speaker 9: And then when you find another one, that's when they
- 9:12Speaker 9: get to, oh, you want to hire somebody because they cheap,
- 9:15Speaker 9: or you want to hire this something now, Bro, Like
- 9:16Speaker 9: you said, I want to have somebody that's looking at
- 9:18Speaker 9: the crowd or cares about it, somebody that before they
- 9:20Speaker 9: text the Knicks, before you take the Knicks booking the
- 9:23Speaker 9: next dollar, You're like, dang, I built over there, let
- 9:25Speaker 9: me you know, let me be lawyered over here for sure, that's.
- 9:28Speaker 5: It, and not looking at it like just to check too.
- 9:31Speaker 8: That exactly My thing with the d With just elaborating
- 9:35Speaker 8: on DJs is that like everybody plays a part.
- 9:39Speaker 7: It's like the inside of a clock.
- 9:40Speaker 8: If you open the clock up, it's big gadget, small gadget,
- 9:43Speaker 8: but no, the clock cannot move without every gadget working,
- 9:45Speaker 8: you know what I mean. So DJ's for my problem
- 9:48Speaker 8: is this is my party. I don't care who club
- 9:51Speaker 8: this is. This is my party. I took a lot
- 9:54Speaker 8: of time to put this event together to make sure
- 9:57Speaker 8: that not just the DJs happy and the owner is
- 10:00Speaker 8: happy about making money. But when people come there, they
- 10:03Speaker 8: come and they release the stress that they're going through
- 10:06Speaker 8: throughout the day.
- 10:07Speaker 7: That's what my brand stands for, Party with Certified Dreams.
- 10:09Speaker 8: When people come to my events, they come there they
- 10:11Speaker 8: just had death, they just had divorces, they just lost babies,
- 10:14Speaker 8: and all.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Kind of crazy.
- 10:17Speaker 8: On the flip side, they could be celebrating, and when
- 10:19Speaker 8: they come in there, they forget about everything that's going
- 10:21Speaker 8: on on the outside world because because the way I
- 10:24Speaker 8: make them feel, I'm the type of promoter that I
- 10:26Speaker 8: literally speak to everybody. If I can't end the venue.
- 10:30Speaker 8: That's just how I am. I speak to people. I
- 10:31Speaker 8: told you, hey, my name is dream I from the part.
- 10:33Speaker 8: I appreciate you coming out.
- 10:34Speaker 2: You know too much.
- 10:35Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about that for sure.
- 10:38Speaker 7: But that's just me, you know what I'm saying. That's
- 10:40Speaker 7: just me.
- 10:41Speaker 8: So it's like when the DJ come in there and
- 10:43Speaker 8: get to play other artists music and all of this
- 10:46Speaker 8: type of stuff, and then when I go there and
- 10:48Speaker 8: I ask them, ay man, can you play the song?
- 10:49Speaker 7: And then I gotta wait ten songs for them to
- 10:52Speaker 7: play a song.
- 10:52Speaker 8: Like I pay you respectfully, like for these for these
- 10:55Speaker 8: two hours.
- 10:56Speaker 7: You work for me like I'm your boss. You get
- 10:58Speaker 7: what I'm saying.
- 10:59Speaker 8: So, like I need need you to assist me in
- 11:01Speaker 8: doing what I need to do to execute my party
- 11:04Speaker 8: the way I want to execute it, not the way
- 11:05Speaker 8: you want to execute it. Put the hookah down, like
- 11:08Speaker 8: you see it just DJing like this with headphones on.
- 11:10Speaker 7: You don't know what's going on.
- 11:11Speaker 8: You're playing a song thinking it's lit, and the crowd's
- 11:13Speaker 8: just sitting down, nobody's sweating, nobody's dancing.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of DJ they're paying attention to the crowd.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I would like to insert. Man, that's why I loved
- 11:22Speaker 1: working for AG.
- 11:23Speaker 6: You couldn't do that for sure. It was a whole
- 11:25Speaker 6: bunch of structure. I'm not saying anyone lacks structure, right.
- 11:28Speaker 6: It was a communication chain to what we were doing.
- 11:31Speaker 6: Matter of fact, I can remember me and DJ Ace
- 11:34Speaker 6: we were doing Prevail on Friday. I will talk to
- 11:36Speaker 6: him at seven pm that night about what we were
- 11:39Speaker 6: going to do that night because we had such and
- 11:41Speaker 6: such coming that night, and then we're gonna play some
- 11:43Speaker 6: new shit. That shit gonna be like towards the end
- 11:45Speaker 6: of the night. It ain't gonna be prime time or
- 11:47Speaker 6: close to prime time. I'm only saying this because I
- 11:50Speaker 6: feel like because I am a DJ, a host, whatever,
- 11:53Speaker 6: and those are my guys. But you guys are my
- 11:55Speaker 6: guys too. Where do you guys think the disconnect is
- 11:59Speaker 6: between the DJ, the promoter, and the owner. Where do
- 12:03Speaker 6: you guys do the keyword disconnect? What do you guys die?
- 12:07Speaker 8: I get a lot of Yeah, I get a lot
- 12:09Speaker 8: of kickback when I go to the DJ and be like, hey,
- 12:12Speaker 8: switch it up, turn up a little bit more.
- 12:14Speaker 7: It look at me like, who the hell are you? Like? Yo? Bro?
- 12:17Speaker 8: Like the people ain't partying right now, Like turn up
- 12:20Speaker 8: or go Caribbean, Like you've been playing trap all night,
- 12:22Speaker 8: You've been playing TWK music all night. Give me some Caribbean,
- 12:25Speaker 8: give me some Afro beat, like make people have fun.
- 12:28Speaker 8: This isn't just about boom boom boom, boom boom the
- 12:30Speaker 8: whole time.
- 12:31Speaker 5: I think a big part of it is everybody doesn't
- 12:33Speaker 5: recognize the event as part of a business for sure,
- 12:38Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. Like, I know, for me,
- 12:40Speaker 5: coming up, we and I'm probably well, we might be
- 12:44Speaker 5: around the same age group, but I know, like I
- 12:45Speaker 5: started in high school and then went on to college.
- 12:48Speaker 5: So for me, it was like it was a hobby
- 12:50Speaker 5: that turned into a hustle that manifested into a career.
- 12:53Speaker 5: So everybody didn't have that same pathway, so they don't
- 12:56Speaker 5: view it as the same thing. Like some people just like, yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 5: I got a regular nine to five, I do this
- 13:02Speaker 5: on the weekends, you know what I'm saying. But no,
- 13:03Speaker 5: I take care of a lot of people doing this
- 13:05Speaker 5: thing that I do. So it's like you have to
- 13:07Speaker 5: respect it and treat it like a business because when
- 13:09Speaker 5: you do that, you have a different level of appreciation.
- 13:12Speaker 5: So if I'm the curator of the event. You don't
- 13:15Speaker 5: know what I put into getting these one hundred people
- 13:19Speaker 5: on this side of the club. These three hundred people
- 13:21Speaker 5: are getting these people on this couch, you know what
- 13:23Speaker 5: I'm saying. And to the DJ, they may feel like, Yo,
- 13:26Speaker 5: you're not the DJ. Let me do what I do.
- 13:28Speaker 5: You hide me for a reason, understandably so. But part
- 13:32Speaker 5: of that reason is to ensure that when I was
- 13:35Speaker 5: sitting in my room trying to come up with this theme,
- 13:38Speaker 5: this gimmick, this idea or putting this celebration together, I
- 13:42Speaker 5: had you in mind, but you are a part of it.
- 13:45Speaker 5: You're not the whole thing, right, And then you have
- 13:47Speaker 5: the owner that feels like, well, I pay the bills,
- 13:51Speaker 5: you did, you know what I'm saying. So I needed
- 13:53Speaker 5: to go the way I wanted to go, because when
- 13:55Speaker 5: y'all leave, I'm still stuck here. And I think if
- 13:58Speaker 5: everybody had the same idea, like, yo, how do we
- 14:00Speaker 5: officially run this business? Because it's I've met some very
- 14:03Speaker 5: very super intelligent people in this line of work and
- 14:07Speaker 5: they could have ran fortune five hundred companies and did
- 14:10Speaker 5: a whole lot of other things. You know what I'm saying,
- 14:11Speaker 5: but treating it like a business and not like a
- 14:13Speaker 5: hobby or a hustle. I think in part that's where
- 14:16Speaker 5: you start to see the disconnect.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yeah, disconnected me.
- 14:19Speaker 9: I'm gonna I'm gonna say pride and self awareness too,
- 14:21Speaker 9: but I'm gonna take it a step further, just from
- 14:24Speaker 9: what I see on my end.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Of stuff, uh age.
- 14:30Speaker 9: I don't think a lot of people realize, Like I
- 14:32Speaker 9: don't know, they say, like parties are dead or stuff
- 14:34Speaker 9: like that. But the problem is, it's not that parties
- 14:35Speaker 9: are dead. It's the fact people socialize different. You don't
- 14:39Speaker 9: realize when they was gonna shut down TikTok, but we
- 14:42Speaker 9: we've seen it on every news site every It was
- 14:44Speaker 9: really like CNN is talking about yeah, but CNN is
- 14:49Speaker 9: like just.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Shutting out time out your flyers.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Bro. Yeah, I'm gonna take the risk. I always know when.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I saw any type of trending topicad.
- 15:14Speaker 9: Respect, but now, like, people socialize different, bro, And I
- 15:17Speaker 9: feel like, but you might have DJs that can he
- 15:21Speaker 9: might drop a jerk set and this you know, he's
- 15:23Speaker 9: flipping the club. He might drop A young boy said,
- 15:25Speaker 9: then you got a DJ that will play straight TikTok songs.
- 15:27Speaker 9: That you might not know what the hell going on,
- 15:29Speaker 9: but the owner over there like the fuck is this?
- 15:31Speaker 9: But the crowd enjoy it, and the promoter depends on
- 15:34Speaker 9: his age, is like yo, what like what's going on?
- 15:36Speaker 9: So when I say age like to me, it's kind
- 15:39Speaker 9: of like I keep going back to basketball teams, but
- 15:42Speaker 9: you ever realized, like when the Warriors was winning or
- 15:44Speaker 9: the Calves was winning, They're like, okay, see now they
- 15:47Speaker 9: got a chemistry. I feel like your best like promoter
- 15:51Speaker 9: DJ on the combo, it's people who hang out outside
- 15:54Speaker 9: of that. You know what, I'm done, We're done with
- 15:56Speaker 9: the club. Cool, We're gonna hit We're gonna hit the
- 15:58Speaker 9: club together. Guess what, talking to the same women, we
- 16:01Speaker 9: know what they're into. We listen to the same shows
- 16:03Speaker 9: that we're taking in the reaction to other people. And
- 16:05Speaker 9: now that we all like we kind of living life
- 16:07Speaker 9: the same, bro, we know what type of event we
- 16:10Speaker 9: going into. Absolutely, And then when you got that chemistry
- 16:12Speaker 9: outside of the workplace, that's when they're affixed inside of
- 16:15Speaker 9: the workplace.
- 16:16Speaker 2: You brother, listen, you're going crazy.
- 16:18Speaker 5: I mean, it takes a certain level of pride in
- 16:20Speaker 5: your craft to really you know what I'm saying, like,
- 16:22Speaker 5: want to give it that type of attention. Like I
- 16:24Speaker 5: used to tell certain owners all the time, It's like,
- 16:28Speaker 5: if this is your night club, or your venue, your
- 16:30Speaker 5: event space, whatever it is. If you in this bitch
- 16:33Speaker 5: five to seven days a week, what time do you
- 16:36Speaker 5: have to go anywhere else to support any other establishment
- 16:40Speaker 5: and see the type of vibe that they got outside
- 16:43Speaker 5: of looking on Instagram?
- 16:44Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, Like, got to be a
- 16:45Speaker 2: student of the game.
- 16:46Speaker 5: I had an owner that I had a long relationship with.
- 16:48Speaker 5: I used to tell them that all the time. I'm like, Bro,
- 16:50Speaker 5: the one time in the blue moon that you go
- 16:52Speaker 5: out with me. You get upset when people don't roll
- 16:54Speaker 5: out the red carpet, But Bro, they don't know you
- 16:56Speaker 5: for sure. You in the house, the house meaning your club.
- 16:59Speaker 8: Right.
- 16:59Speaker 5: So as a as a curator, as a promoter, I
- 17:02Speaker 5: might hit four or five spots in the city in
- 17:04Speaker 5: your week. So I gotta report with everybody from the
- 17:07Speaker 5: valet to the bouncer, to the to the service you
- 17:10Speaker 5: know what I'm saying, The service crew, the boller girl,
- 17:12Speaker 5: the damn barback. We built that relationship. But you you're
- 17:16Speaker 5: you're stagging it and staying in your place, so you
- 17:18Speaker 5: don't understand like the nuances that may come. I'll say this,
- 17:22Speaker 5: I remember at a point in time, me and day
- 17:25Speaker 5: They used to do parties back in the day together
- 17:28Speaker 5: and shout out to day They and I remember like
- 17:31Speaker 5: we had the libra going crazy at a point in time.
- 17:34Speaker 5: And this is still in between, like you know, we
- 17:36Speaker 5: about to leave college, is still in college. And I
- 17:38Speaker 5: remember a group of promoters came and they started doing
- 17:40Speaker 5: dollar parties and we was like, what are you doing?
- 17:45Speaker 5: Line down eight blocks and we're like yeah, cause this
- 17:49Speaker 5: shit is free, you know what I'm saying. But for
- 17:51Speaker 5: us it was like we this is how we get money.
- 17:54Speaker 5: So when they came and changed the game, like everything
- 17:57Speaker 5: switched and now free getting into the club became like
- 18:00Speaker 5: the new thing. But I say that to say, have
- 18:02Speaker 5: we not been around to kind of see that, then
- 18:04Speaker 5: we understand it, like damn, why twenty dollars at the
- 18:07Speaker 5: door ain't working no more? Why forty dollar vip ain't
- 18:10Speaker 5: working no more? Because this is a younger generation, they
- 18:12Speaker 5: probably can't afford a twenty or forty. They got a buck,
- 18:15Speaker 5: they got a five, and so now we're like, damn,
- 18:17Speaker 5: that's the energy, and you know, Instagram wasn't popping at
- 18:21Speaker 5: the time, so yeah, it's it's Twitter's Facebook. Oh you
- 18:25Speaker 5: know this this is live over here, Like we need
- 18:27Speaker 5: to switch it up and so like you know, and
- 18:29Speaker 5: I put this, you know on the owners is like
- 18:32Speaker 5: you have to kind of take your pride and ego
- 18:34Speaker 5: out of it and be willing to go be continue
- 18:36Speaker 5: to be a student at the game and go to
- 18:37Speaker 5: other places.
- 18:38Speaker 4: And then they got to travel more.
- 18:39Speaker 7: He was rocky.
- 18:40Speaker 4: You could tell about how clubs look.
- 18:41Speaker 5: They don't travel no where everybody because.
- 18:47Speaker 4: It's like and it's the same person building every club.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Too.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm over here, Like you could.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Tell the person that's building a club, he don't travel
- 19:01Speaker 3: no where because if you go to different cities, I'm like, oh, man,
- 19:05Speaker 3: like you you might go to a club in Miami.
- 19:07Speaker 3: You might talk to and they're like, man, would you
- 19:08Speaker 3: get this idea to build this?
- 19:09Speaker 4: Oh?
- 19:09Speaker 7: Man?
- 19:09Speaker 3: I went through I partied and Belieze or somewhere, and
- 19:12Speaker 3: I saw the lights and I was figuring out how
- 19:14Speaker 3: they got those lights, and I'm taking it back to
- 19:16Speaker 3: where I'm going.
- 19:17Speaker 9: I'm like, oh, that's how you build something.
- 19:21Speaker 7: That's me.
- 19:22Speaker 8: I go to venues, and I literally just stare at
- 19:25Speaker 8: things all day long, you know what I mean. My
- 19:27Speaker 8: shorty asks me like what are you looking at? Like
- 19:28Speaker 8: why are you always touching stuff? I'd be walking down
- 19:30Speaker 8: the hallway touching.
- 19:33Speaker 7: Why to the ceiling? Or why is this is like
- 19:36Speaker 7: this this like that.
- 19:37Speaker 8: But like what Bacha was saying, shout out to my manager,
- 19:40Speaker 8: you got to have a good team as an owner
- 19:42Speaker 8: to leave your venue and go to other establishments. So
- 19:45Speaker 8: like my manager Bubba will always tell me, like, go
- 19:48Speaker 8: be dream you know what I'm saying, Like, go be dreams.
- 19:51Speaker 8: So every night I make sure I go out. I
- 19:53Speaker 8: go to Jamari parties, you know what I mean. I
- 19:54Speaker 8: probably myself to Bachi like five times, Like hey, I'm dreaming,
- 19:59Speaker 8: right Like man, I know ways saying that.
- 20:00Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 20:03Speaker 7: I don't want to boogerloo. I don't want to mansion.
- 20:04Speaker 8: I don't went to every club and patronize it and
- 20:07Speaker 8: pairs a customer. You know what I mean, to see
- 20:09Speaker 8: how they move and what's hot, what's not hot, What
- 20:11Speaker 8: DJs is hot, what DJs is not good?
- 20:14Speaker 7: What promoters is good? Who I can work with? Who
- 20:16Speaker 7: I want to be Like because.
- 20:17Speaker 8: Every everybody wants to be like someone, regardless of how
- 20:20Speaker 8: hard people say.
- 20:21Speaker 7: You know, I did this on my own. I'm self made.
- 20:23Speaker 8: It's somebody that influenced you, was influential to you to
- 20:27Speaker 8: make you follow the trend.
- 20:31Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying, A GS top of the list.
- 20:33Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying.
- 20:34Speaker 8: You got people like batch you that's in the reality
- 20:37Speaker 8: world that can bring these top notch people to evenues
- 20:41Speaker 8: the top of the line, as I would say, ballers.
- 20:45Speaker 7: You know what I mean?
- 20:45Speaker 8: Men and women with money. You got Jamari that you
- 20:48Speaker 8: can go. You want you want to see a crazy
- 20:50Speaker 8: college crowd.
- 20:51Speaker 4: You want to you want to see the line wrapped around?
- 20:56Speaker 1: How did he get that line?
- 20:58Speaker 4: Like?
- 20:58Speaker 7: What is doing guys? Study the games?
- 21:02Speaker 1: Study the game? Oh no, no, I had a question.
- 21:05Speaker 1: What club do you guys?
- 21:07Speaker 8: Miss?
- 21:08Speaker 6: That is no longer here?
- 21:09Speaker 1: Man, Look, I could go first.
- 21:13Speaker 6: When we go first, I miss Velvet Room telling my age.
- 21:17Speaker 6: But let me tell you why when you walked in
- 21:20Speaker 6: Velvet Room. First of all, you couldn't even get to
- 21:22Speaker 6: the DJ both it was a big ass plexiglass. You
- 21:26Speaker 6: had to do sign and say I want to hear,
- 21:30Speaker 6: and then big ass dance floor and the VIP was
- 21:34Speaker 6: up out the way and it was small. That's what
- 21:37Speaker 6: everybody did, danced and they had an early crowd.
- 21:41Speaker 7: Bro.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I missed that ship. I missed the early crowd, and
- 21:45Speaker 1: then I missed being a y n and being in
- 21:47Speaker 1: the parking lot.
- 21:48Speaker 7: Nigga.
- 21:49Speaker 1: The parking lot was crazy.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Sometimes if you didn't have the bread.
- 21:53Speaker 1: You could chill in the parking lot.
- 21:55Speaker 6: I got my first piece of atl ass And for
- 21:57Speaker 6: me and the motherfucker in the parking lot.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I'm too young to get inside that motherfucker.
- 22:02Speaker 2: I'm vel if I shoot, I'm gonna say.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Uh.
- 22:06Speaker 10: Mansion, which used to be dreams Ats, Yes, originally everybody
- 22:14Speaker 10: got trying, but yeah, for Mansion, I think it was
- 22:18Speaker 10: more like that was right in the era of like
- 22:21Speaker 10: dance floor was still lit, yes, but but hookers were
- 22:26Speaker 10: now coming into.
- 22:27Speaker 2: A place and slowly creeping was started.
- 22:32Speaker 9: Kind of gotta get sections because I want to sit down.
- 22:34Speaker 9: But the dance floor still lit, but you still the
- 22:37Speaker 9: VP was up, was up, yeah, so you could still like,
- 22:39Speaker 9: I don't know, you still see who was on the floor.
- 22:41Speaker 2: You might go mingle with somebody now, but just straight sections.
- 22:43Speaker 3: That was Drake and it was to look down upon
- 22:46Speaker 3: at that time, to like feel like not being in
- 22:48Speaker 3: Like yeah, you go the Mansion and you're like, I
- 22:50Speaker 3: don't want no sections.
- 22:53Speaker 9: I can hit the bar exactly. And then the time
- 22:58Speaker 9: that Mansion was lit with just like it was like
- 23:01Speaker 9: an explosion for Atlanta.
- 23:02Speaker 7: Bro.
- 23:02Speaker 9: Every artist was was was coming out and it was like, damn,
- 23:06Speaker 9: bro and everybody. Now it's like and this is why now,
- 23:09Speaker 9: like domain, you know what I'm saying, That's what I
- 23:11Speaker 9: do on Fridays now. But you're starting to see that
- 23:14Speaker 9: resurgence again, like we're booking artists that the twin one
- 23:17Speaker 9: that market probably has no idea who they are, but
- 23:19Speaker 9: they packing this ship two thousand plus people and it's like, damn,
- 23:23Speaker 9: but we're finally getting the resurgence again of Atlanta artists
- 23:26Speaker 9: and just ra.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Making people. History repeats history always, and then you.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Age that a little bit Thay.
- 23:45Speaker 2: On Thursday.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Thursday.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Then niggas, I think.
- 23:53Speaker 4: So yours was magic.
- 23:57Speaker 6: That's tough, because come on, bro, you gotta make a
- 23:59Speaker 6: decision eras changed.
- 24:02Speaker 5: Okay, So if I got a pick between two, I'm
- 24:05Speaker 5: saying Mansion for my era before they start doing the
- 24:09Speaker 5: college night and club Miami Brooah.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Park Lite for show.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Because here's the thing about it, Like when you think
- 24:19Speaker 5: of when you break down like what night life was
- 24:21Speaker 5: at a certain time, right, it's the music and the erasure,
- 24:24Speaker 5: and so I really wanted to say liber but that's
- 24:26Speaker 5: another story. But when you think of the eras of
- 24:29Speaker 5: the music, right, it was like when during that Club
- 24:32Speaker 5: Miami time, I felt like that's when Atlanta was creating
- 24:36Speaker 5: that identity partying, right because we had the trap era,
- 24:42Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, Like when Tip jumped out there,
- 24:44Speaker 5: when Jeez jumped out, when was doing this thing. But
- 24:48Speaker 5: as we get to Club Miami, now we're thinking, like
- 24:50Speaker 5: Travis Porter, you know what I'm saying, that's still in
- 24:54Speaker 5: my college days. And so seeing that it was in
- 24:58Speaker 5: Club Miami wasn't big and that was a beautiful thing
- 25:00Speaker 5: about it, right because that shit felt so intimate and
- 25:04Speaker 5: personal on a party level.
- 25:06Speaker 1: But then with it was DJ.
- 25:10Speaker 5: Who's the DJ at Miami days?
- 25:13Speaker 1: Go ahead, they'll keep going, I'm gonna find it.
- 25:15Speaker 5: But even some of those guys, right, they weren't doing
- 25:18Speaker 5: like the big, big nightclub. They weren't doing the compounds
- 25:21Speaker 5: in the velvet room. So It's like you had that
- 25:23Speaker 5: niche of people where if it was three hundred people
- 25:26Speaker 5: in this bitch like we was having the time with
- 25:28Speaker 5: Mansion prior to the eighteen and up. I think one
- 25:31Speaker 5: of y'all mighty said it wasn't no sections, you know
- 25:33Speaker 5: what I'm saying. And honestly, that was probably the club
- 25:36Speaker 5: that really really stamped me as being the host and like, yo,
- 25:40Speaker 5: we can have fifteen hundred people in this bitch and
- 25:42Speaker 5: they rocking, whether it was celebrity in there or not.
- 25:45Speaker 5: This is taking your shirt off and stand on top
- 25:47Speaker 5: of the country, you know what I mean. So for me,
- 25:49Speaker 5: I felt like that that era of people really really
- 25:52Speaker 5: partying and not caring too much about sections because you
- 25:55Speaker 5: got a dance for that can hold seven hundred to
- 25:57Speaker 5: eight hundred people.
- 25:58Speaker 8: Like when we lost, we lost a big part of
- 26:05Speaker 8: So you know, I'm from the North, so I can't
- 26:09Speaker 8: I've been to these clubs. I've never been in the
- 26:10Speaker 8: Velvety Room. I never been to Club Miami definitely mentioned
- 26:14Speaker 8: the line, you know what I mean. But for me
- 26:15Speaker 8: on the North, it was a club called Pink Flamingo.
- 26:18Speaker 8: Hey one time, yeah, for show, So like that's when
- 26:21Speaker 8: like you had the unit. You had Ray g Charlie
- 26:24Speaker 8: Brown and all them guys, you know what I mean
- 26:27Speaker 8: for show, so.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Like Joseph and.
- 26:31Speaker 7: That Joseph Final, the first one one, Yeah, the original original.
- 26:35Speaker 8: But I started Pink Formingos where we ain't even had
- 26:38Speaker 8: no sections in there, you know sections, but we probably
- 26:41Speaker 8: hold like six hundred people, you know what I mean.
- 26:43Speaker 8: And that was the first party that the North welcomed
- 26:45Speaker 8: me to, you know what I mean. I took it
- 26:46Speaker 8: over when Crazy it was Dreaming the dream Girls. But
- 26:49Speaker 8: that's when we had like when the Migos was just
- 26:53Speaker 8: some of these young niggas in the North and I
- 26:56Speaker 8: was running the party. You had the Migos, you had
- 26:58Speaker 8: Michael Montana, the boys, Q yeah, Q, you know what
- 27:02Speaker 8: I mean. You had Sony Digital, you know, all them
- 27:05Speaker 8: guys on the North Side. So like Pink Famingo was
- 27:08Speaker 8: the stamp for the North Side far as you know
- 27:11Speaker 8: from my from my era. I heard it was something
- 27:13Speaker 8: called blue Cheese before then. But I don't know about
- 27:16Speaker 8: blue che either, you know what I'm saying.
- 27:17Speaker 7: So, but Pink Famingo was it.
- 27:19Speaker 4: This is.
- 27:21Speaker 7: It was unpleasant Hill.
- 27:23Speaker 3: I mean, I think the party and the club that
- 27:25Speaker 3: I missed the most is saloon on Sunday, damn. Yes,
- 27:34Speaker 3: but the early saloon, the early okay, so the saloon
- 27:38Speaker 3: when it was, when it was when it was a
- 27:40Speaker 3: mixed crowd, when I when I got there, it was
- 27:43Speaker 3: when I got there was a number of white people
- 27:44Speaker 3: in that national show. And then I remember, I said,
- 27:47Speaker 3: I went there one Sunday. I said, Who's who's the
- 27:49Speaker 3: promoter of this today?
- 27:51Speaker 4: It's like, oh, is this guy? I said, hey man,
- 27:53Speaker 4: you gotta be yeah, no, no, it was. It was
- 27:57Speaker 4: it was Kenny and I forgot.
- 27:59Speaker 3: The you say, he like like I don't know what
- 28:01Speaker 3: he did, Like yeah, yeah, he shouldn't have sold the
- 28:05Speaker 3: club because he I don't know where he at now.
- 28:06Speaker 2: But anyway, I went.
- 28:08Speaker 4: I went up to Kenny. I said, hey, man, you
- 28:10Speaker 4: got you got a good party early the early day.
- 28:13Speaker 3: When it was nothing but white people throwing napkins like
- 28:15Speaker 3: you would be black and you're been there, like this
- 28:17Speaker 3: is what the hell.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Is going on?
- 28:18Speaker 1: You playing hip hop music a little bit?
- 28:20Speaker 7: Yes?
- 28:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it was it was mostly em music.
- 28:22Speaker 3: But anyways, I went up to the promote I said, man,
- 28:24Speaker 3: you got a good party, but it sucked and he
- 28:26Speaker 3: was like.
- 28:28Speaker 4: He was like, what the fu you mean? Like this
- 28:30Speaker 4: ship packed out.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I was like, man, I know what you're trying to do,
- 28:32Speaker 3: but you lack flavor. Let me let me, you know,
- 28:35Speaker 3: get integrated in here and show you what you could
- 28:37Speaker 3: do with it.
- 28:38Speaker 4: And he was like all right.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Bet So they had like one guy, some host he
- 28:42Speaker 3: was He was so bad. I said, Bro, this dude
- 28:44Speaker 3: should never talk on the mic again.
- 28:46Speaker 1: He did the sound that's why.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he did the sad and I ain't know
- 28:51Speaker 4: that Bunck and saloon.
- 28:52Speaker 7: Bro.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Nobody cared.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Yeah, but because nobody drinking. Nobody cares because they don't.
- 28:58Speaker 4: They don't even know they like drinks.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Early early a regular bar, it was no section to
- 29:07Speaker 1: have a DJ.
- 29:08Speaker 4: It was people. People would fight.
- 29:09Speaker 3: People would literally fight over to get a little round
- 29:12Speaker 3: table to like like you know what I'm.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Saying, Napkin wars or after it was napkins, but it
- 29:17Speaker 1: was no Napkin Wars.
- 29:19Speaker 4: See what people A lot of people don't understand.
- 29:21Speaker 2: It was like.
- 29:23Speaker 1: It was to cleanse your ears.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Yeah, like it was straight.
- 29:27Speaker 6: It was straight like ed music, Sunday, this, this, this, Yeah,
- 29:33Speaker 6: you gotta go cleanse your ears out real quick. To
- 29:35Speaker 6: hear some different ship about you gotta may have a
- 29:38Speaker 6: business meeting with somebody.
- 29:39Speaker 7: That of lights and people jumping around.
- 29:41Speaker 4: That's that's that's how it used to be.
- 29:43Speaker 3: And like was it was good for me because I
- 29:45Speaker 3: would get introduced to like ed M artists that was
- 29:48Speaker 3: big because they was booking like Miley Cyrus sister, you know,
- 29:54Speaker 3: Brody Jenner from this reality show.
- 29:57Speaker 4: And then they were like, pull up on Sunday.
- 29:59Speaker 3: And I I'll be like, They'll be going crazy, and
- 30:01Speaker 3: I'm like, damn, So I'm getting relationship with these people.
- 30:04Speaker 3: So now I'm going to Vegas and I'm hitting these
- 30:07Speaker 3: ed M DJs and I'm going, you know, getting.
- 30:09Speaker 4: Introduced to a whole different crowd.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Of people, you know what I'm saying. And I was like, damn, man,
- 30:15Speaker 3: this is what Atlanta was missing. So then when I
- 30:17Speaker 3: started bringing the celebrities in and stuff like that, and
- 30:20Speaker 3: the ship.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Would just go viral. But now everybody does you know,
- 30:23Speaker 4: how Atlanta do you do? One thing?
- 30:25Speaker 1: Everybody?
- 30:28Speaker 4: People don't even know what napkins Throwing napkins originated from.
- 30:33Speaker 5: It's a lot of it's a lot of things that
- 30:34Speaker 5: I love about the city, but it's a it's a
- 30:36Speaker 5: lot of ship that like I just was never a
- 30:38Speaker 5: fan of. It was too much monkey see monkey dude.
- 30:41Speaker 5: Social Media played a big part in that, because now
- 30:43Speaker 5: you don't have to be creative, you know what I'm saying,
- 30:45Speaker 5: Like I can go and well not me, but somebody
- 30:48Speaker 5: can go online, Oh and see what this this person's doing. Damn,
- 30:51Speaker 5: I'm gonna do something like that. And it never happened
- 30:54Speaker 5: war and it watered It just waters the brand down
- 30:56Speaker 5: for everybody.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Now, now now think about this.
- 30:59Speaker 3: What experience it are you gonna get if you go
- 31:01Speaker 3: If you go somewhere on a Monday, right, and you
- 31:03Speaker 3: go somewhere on Tuesday, and it's the same party I
- 31:06Speaker 3: looked at. I saw in Houston they got a thing
- 31:10Speaker 3: where they shoot like basket basketball.
- 31:13Speaker 8: You make the shot, you get a nineteen forty two.
- 31:15Speaker 8: If you miss it, you gotta buy nineteen forty.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Now imagine it.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Now, Look imagine if you started doing that at your club.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Everybody in Atlanta would do it. It's sad for sure, everybody.
- 31:27Speaker 3: But there's only one club in Houston that I see
- 31:29Speaker 3: on Instagram that doesn't. Nobody else Inston does.
- 31:32Speaker 7: It for sure for show for Shure, and they don't
- 31:34Speaker 7: see it, But this weekend I was.
- 31:37Speaker 2: I'm about to say I was. I was in Houston
- 31:39Speaker 2: this weekend.
- 31:39Speaker 7: Two.
- 31:40Speaker 9: Houston is like, I don't want to say it's Atlanta
- 31:43Speaker 9: on steroids, but it's twenty sixteen Atlanta on steroids. Twenty
- 31:46Speaker 9: sixteen Atlanta is like, yeah, before niggas had to be cool, Yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 9: now you gotta.
- 31:51Speaker 2: I gotta buy a section. You ever said you ever?
- 31:54Speaker 7: Bro?
- 31:54Speaker 2: I want you to go in the club, won't you
- 31:55Speaker 2: pay attention? Right to do? When niggas get their bottles
- 31:57Speaker 2: and they climbing on the sections.
- 31:58Speaker 9: It's almost as if niggas, Bro, Bro, we get in
- 32:02Speaker 9: the club and damn near play tetris of trying to
- 32:05Speaker 9: stand on the highest point we can in the club.
- 32:08Speaker 2: It's like this niggas not no couchit.
- 32:09Speaker 9: I'm gonna go to the back of the count This
- 32:11Speaker 9: nigga standing on the bar ship, I'm gonna hang from
- 32:13Speaker 9: the goddamn the ceiling.
- 32:14Speaker 4: It's like, Bro, why we gotta be cool?
- 32:17Speaker 2: Get the fuck down what Houston got, bro? Houston has
- 32:20Speaker 2: a lot of working class people.
- 32:22Speaker 5: Yes, that's what.
- 32:23Speaker 9: And when they go out, Bro, I go hit the bar,
- 32:26Speaker 9: I hit the dance floor. I don't got about that section. Okay,
- 32:29Speaker 9: you buying this ship.
- 32:30Speaker 7: That's on you.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Bro.
- 32:30Speaker 2: I'm still cooling being me, bro. We not cooling being us. Bro.
- 32:33Speaker 9: That that's that's where the boiled down to. It's even
- 32:35Speaker 9: how niggas socialized.
- 32:37Speaker 7: Bro.
- 32:37Speaker 9: You know why niggas was scared of TikTok shinned down
- 32:39Speaker 9: because you gotta be too cool and rich for Instagram.
- 32:42Speaker 9: So nigga's like, Bro, TikTok, I could be myself and
- 32:44Speaker 9: that's what that's that's where parties went to. You could
- 32:47Speaker 9: no longer be It's okay to go to that bar
- 32:50Speaker 9: and order that. I'm really sour blue motherfucker whatever you
- 32:54Speaker 9: want to drink.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Bro, It's okay.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Bro.
- 32:55Speaker 7: I love when I go out of town.
- 32:57Speaker 8: When I go to town and it's just like me
- 33:00Speaker 8: my lady, Like I really just go to the bar,
- 33:03Speaker 8: like because in Atlanta, you just gotta beat.
- 33:04Speaker 7: You just gotta do so much.
- 33:05Speaker 8: And if you don't do it, if I don't have
- 33:07Speaker 8: a section, if I go to a regular right, give
- 33:11Speaker 8: me anything. I go to Rose Bar and I'm at
- 33:15Speaker 8: the bar, nigga walking and be like dreaming at the bar,
- 33:18Speaker 8: fell off. I just want to get a dream a point,
- 33:36Speaker 8: nigga taking pictures of you, posting you in the group chats.
- 33:38Speaker 8: I done got another people like you don't at the
- 33:41Speaker 8: bar dream I'm chilling, nigga.
- 33:43Speaker 5: But listen that that that matters to a point. It
- 33:45Speaker 5: depends on your audience and your demo. You did what
- 33:49Speaker 5: I'm saying, like events that I do now, Like, Bro,
- 33:52Speaker 5: you was there. You was there when we was going
- 33:54Speaker 5: through the gauntlet of we gotta be in somebody club
- 33:56Speaker 5: on the microphone for five days out the week. We've
- 34:00Speaker 5: grown and matured out of that space. We still operate
- 34:03Speaker 5: within the night life space. I like to say entertainment,
- 34:05Speaker 5: but like that shit matters to a certain audience of people.
- 34:08Speaker 5: When I go and do events, I'm in a three
- 34:10Speaker 5: p suit right for sure, it's sections in here. But
- 34:12Speaker 5: don't nobody give a fuck about you sitting down there
- 34:14Speaker 5: the show at the table. You know where they're gonna go.
- 34:16Speaker 5: They're gonna go to the bar, because at a certain
- 34:18Speaker 5: age they're gonna look and say, like, why the hell
- 34:20Speaker 5: am I spending five hundred dollars on the bottle that
- 34:23Speaker 5: I would pay fifty bucks for out of clips and
- 34:26Speaker 5: have people at my house entertainment And I have and
- 34:29Speaker 5: entertain them, and I have more fun doing that for sure.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Like my people's like, we have more fun being at
- 34:35Speaker 5: my crib. Oh, one hundred dollars on groceries, one hundred
- 34:39Speaker 5: dollars on bottles. We don't have a time. Even though
- 34:44Speaker 5: I'm still in this industry, I still understood like I
- 34:47Speaker 5: had to mature out of that. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 34:50Speaker 5: I don't really have the crowd of people that care
- 34:52Speaker 5: about spending two thousand dollars on the table. But guess
- 34:56Speaker 5: what they're gonna do. They're gonna spend a couple hundred
- 34:58Speaker 5: dollars on a suit. We gonna spend a couple hundred
- 35:01Speaker 5: dollars on a gown. Go get hurt, hair done, nails done.
- 35:04Speaker 5: You dig what I'm saying. Go buy one hundred dollar
- 35:06Speaker 5: ticket to come to this event because it's more quality.
- 35:09Speaker 5: And the people that are there, they don't care about
- 35:11Speaker 5: standing on couches. And I do miss that error. We
- 35:14Speaker 5: made a ton of money doing this shit, but I'm
- 35:16Speaker 5: not gonna be fifty years old standing on the couch.
- 35:19Speaker 5: You dig what I'm saying. So I think it to
- 35:21Speaker 5: your point, it depends on the audience and the demographic
- 35:24Speaker 5: of people that you're catering to. You know, in twenty
- 35:27Speaker 5: twenty five, shit is different.
- 35:29Speaker 6: Question to all you guys here, what is the evolution
- 35:33Speaker 6: that you see yourself ten years from now? And what
- 35:39Speaker 6: should like someone in the night life that you guys,
- 35:42Speaker 6: that the seats that you guys hold. What's just someone say, Okay,
- 35:46Speaker 6: I'm gonna start here.
- 35:47Speaker 1: But I want to end up here?
- 35:48Speaker 2: Like what's that?
- 35:49Speaker 5: What does that look like?
- 35:50Speaker 6: Because before us, I don't know if there was every
- 35:52Speaker 6: job descriptions of what we did before I know it
- 35:55Speaker 6: was never one of creating this shit.
- 35:56Speaker 1: We've been creating it.
- 35:57Speaker 6: So what's the what's the like the down the line
- 36:00Speaker 6: playing I feel like you kind of already in it. Yeah,
- 36:03Speaker 6: for sure, you guys are all in it, but I want.
- 36:05Speaker 7: You to say it.
- 36:05Speaker 8: I think that that's I think that I never wanted
- 36:11Speaker 8: to be a club owner. I wanted to be I
- 36:14Speaker 8: wanted to have a franchise of restaurants, you know what
- 36:16Speaker 8: I mean, Like that's my end goal to have a
- 36:19Speaker 8: franchise of restaurants. I sleep at night and I say
- 36:21Speaker 8: I want to have fifty restaurants, but I'm cool with ten, you.
- 36:24Speaker 7: Know what I mean?
- 36:25Speaker 8: So if I could open up moving forward a restaurant
- 36:27Speaker 8: a year for the next ten years, Like, that's my goal,
- 36:29Speaker 8: you know what I mean. So I put a lot
- 36:31Speaker 8: of time into my food. Like dreams, ATL is a
- 36:35Speaker 8: restaurant slash lounge, just not a nightclub, and people think
- 36:37Speaker 8: it's a nightclub. Where I put a lot of time
- 36:39Speaker 8: into food. I traveled to New York, I traveled to Vaga,
- 36:42Speaker 8: I traveled to Miami. I flew chefs from all different
- 36:44Speaker 8: kinds of places to create my menu, to create my recipes,
- 36:47Speaker 8: to buy and own my recipe. So reality, so who's
- 36:51Speaker 8: cooking my food? It'll be the same every time, you
- 36:54Speaker 8: know what I mean, because I owned the recipe. So
- 36:56Speaker 8: for me, it's being one of the biggest black owned
- 36:59Speaker 8: restaurant franchises in the world in two years. So that's
- 37:02Speaker 8: that's my goal. The nightlight club crap, it's like I
- 37:05Speaker 8: don't even care about it, you know. I tell people
- 37:06Speaker 8: the time, all they gonna do is come in here,
- 37:07Speaker 8: jump on my shit, fuck it up, and leave.
- 37:09Speaker 7: Like that's all they gonna do. Bro, You know what
- 37:11Speaker 7: I mean.
- 37:12Speaker 8: I spent a lot of money into it. So when
- 37:13Speaker 8: I've I bring artists and celebrity and friends. I pushed
- 37:16Speaker 8: the food people coming back, let me get some honey
- 37:18Speaker 8: out wings and fog. I don't sell wings. I got lobster,
- 37:21Speaker 8: I got I got red snapped of, head on, head off.
- 37:23Speaker 8: I got collagraogs, macao and cheese, candy aams.
- 37:26Speaker 7: You know what I mean.
- 37:26Speaker 8: I have versus my dishes, and my menu is very versatile,
- 37:30Speaker 8: so I can care to say anyone that comes into
- 37:32Speaker 8: my establishment.
- 37:35Speaker 5: I think we started thinking about that question maybe ten
- 37:38Speaker 5: years ago. You know what I'm saying. For me personally,
- 37:41Speaker 5: you know, I had the mindset of, man, I want
- 37:45Speaker 5: to get into the restaurant space right primarily because it
- 37:48Speaker 5: seemed like a similar pivot to what we were already
- 37:51Speaker 5: doing with nightclubs and lounges. But on the flip side
- 37:54Speaker 5: of that, like we spoke on earlier, when the liquor
- 37:56Speaker 5: branding opportunities came about, it gave you know, a different
- 38:00Speaker 5: from type of light bulb went off. So now it's
- 38:02Speaker 5: about branding, producing production to an extent, you know what
- 38:06Speaker 5: I'm saying. And so I think with the experience that
- 38:10Speaker 5: we had and being in night life, we saw things
- 38:12Speaker 5: that other people didn't see and different you know, what
- 38:15Speaker 5: I'm saying, like genres of work or entertainment. You get
- 38:18Speaker 5: every type of person that comes into the club, whether
- 38:21Speaker 5: it's a doctor, lawyer, politician, your maya's you know what
- 38:26Speaker 5: I'm saying. Crities, celebrities, dope boys and all that, and
- 38:29Speaker 5: all these people come from, you know, different walks to
- 38:31Speaker 5: life in different careers and so like for me, it
- 38:34Speaker 5: was like, Yo, how many relationships can I build and
- 38:36Speaker 5: can I have in this? I foresee myself being in
- 38:39Speaker 5: politics right maybe five years down the line, you know
- 38:42Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 38:43Speaker 2: And it's not I can see I can see you.
- 38:46Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not the pivot that you would think. Right.
- 38:49Speaker 5: So when shout out to the Book Bank Foundation, our nonprofit,
- 38:53Speaker 5: when we started doing community cleanups, we would always have
- 38:56Speaker 5: these big turnouts. And one of my mentors, doctor Glenn Tolb,
- 38:59Speaker 5: he was like, why you get all these people? I say, Bro,
- 39:01Speaker 5: I pull them out the club.
- 39:04Speaker 6: Like that.
- 39:05Speaker 5: If I can stand on the couch with you, if
- 39:06Speaker 5: you can call me every year for your birthday or
- 39:09Speaker 5: when this artist or this manager can blow my phone
- 39:11Speaker 5: about the mixtape release or album release, why can I
- 39:13Speaker 5: get these same people to come and get back to
- 39:15Speaker 5: their community by way of service, you know what I'm saying.
- 39:17Speaker 5: And so once we started seeing that, even when I
- 39:19Speaker 5: did Love and Hip Hop, my first episode, we was
- 39:22Speaker 5: off your fave cleaning up the neighborhood, you know what
- 39:24Speaker 5: I'm saying, feeding the homeless. But you know they didn't
- 39:26Speaker 5: want no cap on that, Like that wasn't made for TV. Shit,
- 39:29Speaker 5: that was real life. And so the pivots from nightlife,
- 39:32Speaker 5: for me, they're endless. It's just about what is your focus?
- 39:35Speaker 5: Who are you meeting while you're doing this? And you
- 39:37Speaker 5: know what I'm saying, Like I look at y'all on radio,
- 39:39Speaker 5: and most people might think, oh, yeah, we if you
- 39:40Speaker 5: do the club, you do reader, but not necessarily. You've
- 39:43Speaker 5: done television, you know what I'm saying. Like you've done production,
- 39:46Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. And so it's like ten
- 39:48Speaker 5: years from now when you're doing movies or scoring movies
- 39:50Speaker 5: and you know, you got your whole entertainment network. Yeah,
- 39:53Speaker 5: we might have started in the club, but we pivoted
- 39:56Speaker 5: to other things, you know what I'm saying. So for me,
- 39:58Speaker 5: like that's how I look at it, and that's the
- 40:00Speaker 5: It's like, this shit is not a one trick pony.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Regardless of how people think of us as promoters, curators
- 40:05Speaker 5: or whatever. It's like this shit is endless with us
- 40:06Speaker 5: and I love it.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Facts.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Uh.
- 40:09Speaker 9: Tenure goal for me is actually like reel in your face, Bro,
- 40:12Speaker 9: I want to run my own ticketing platform. And it's
- 40:16Speaker 9: for like if you really think about like data, Bro,
- 40:19Speaker 9: data is endless.
- 40:20Speaker 2: That is what you pay for.
- 40:21Speaker 9: Ads of what you pay for, whether it's TV ads
- 40:23Speaker 9: or Facebook ads anything, Your biggest people that you're gonna like,
- 40:28Speaker 9: those are people that could. That's the foundation of things
- 40:30Speaker 9: that are never going nowhere. So ticket masks and stuff
- 40:32Speaker 9: like event bright Bro, go to check out. When you
- 40:35Speaker 9: check out, whatever the price was, you're gonna add your
- 40:38Speaker 9: tax on it. Then people adding the tax that's who eat.
- 40:42Speaker 9: So right now what I've been doing like no matter
- 40:43Speaker 9: how it plays out of whether it be packing the
- 40:46Speaker 9: parties of club. That's why I build off the masks
- 40:47Speaker 9: because it's data, Like Bro, I got two hundred thousand
- 40:50Speaker 9: phone numbers, no matter who it is, it's somebody's number.
- 40:53Speaker 9: If we're collecting off right in through the lines, even
- 40:56Speaker 9: down to the logo, you don't peep it's a ticket.
- 40:58Speaker 9: That's why it's clean That's why I clean crowded functions
- 41:02Speaker 9: ticket Bro, because event it's gonna be a ticketing platform.
- 41:04Speaker 2: That's the reason this.
- 41:05Speaker 9: But it's friendly whitewashes hell, we want, we won't want
- 41:08Speaker 9: scare nobody what I'm looking for, you know what I'm saying.
- 41:11Speaker 2: So that's what I want to do, Bro, end of
- 41:13Speaker 2: the day, it's gonna be data and analytics.
- 41:14Speaker 5: Like I throw this too, sitting that the thing that
- 41:16Speaker 5: I admired about him was like our eras might have
- 41:20Speaker 5: been a little bit different, but when I started seeing
- 41:22Speaker 5: the transition of like what he was doing, when you
- 41:24Speaker 5: started popping your shit a little bit, and its event
- 41:27Speaker 5: bright numbers right, Like I've done concerts, I've done festivals
- 41:31Speaker 5: and understanding like everybody always talking about live Nation. But
- 41:34Speaker 5: that's that's the that's the real big win, you know
- 41:36Speaker 5: what I'm saying. So when I started seeing what Bro
- 41:38Speaker 5: was doing, I'm like, damn, that shit was inspiring like
- 41:41Speaker 5: a motherfucker, you know what I'm saying, Because you're seeing
- 41:43Speaker 5: the growth from it. Like it's not like I want
- 41:45Speaker 5: to put a couple of hundred people, you know, in
- 41:47Speaker 5: a nightclub. No, I want to go fill up an arena.
- 41:50Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. So now you're not looking
- 41:51Speaker 5: at me as the promoter, like, no, I'm a real business,
- 41:53Speaker 5: legitimate business that can not only do this ship in Atlanta,
- 41:56Speaker 5: not in Houston. We can go do this ship in Ghana, Nigeria.
- 42:00Speaker 7: I got that data.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Bro we're looking at.
- 42:03Speaker 9: We talked of his name that came a couple of
- 42:04Speaker 9: times a bro, all due respect, you're looking at a
- 42:08Speaker 9: g toring bro. You don't realize like Bru's packing out,
- 42:11Speaker 9: Arena's going anywhere torn and.
- 42:14Speaker 2: He's not bro.
- 42:14Speaker 9: He can't dap up a fifteen year old and have
- 42:17Speaker 9: a conversation you don't care to. But guess what they
- 42:19Speaker 9: buy his tickets?
- 42:20Speaker 6: Yeah, that's power And he's getting the data that's power
- 42:25Speaker 6: from And this shows the level of a business he owned.
- 42:29Speaker 3: He's standing on it and shout out to you know
- 42:31Speaker 3: all you guys are coming on the show. I know
- 42:34Speaker 3: promoters get a lot of bad reps, are doing bad business.
- 42:37Speaker 3: And you know one thing I said about you guys
- 42:40Speaker 3: like I ain't never had no bad.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Business with y'all. You know what I'm saying.
- 42:44Speaker 3: The people that the people that that did me wrong,
- 42:46Speaker 3: I don't even see him no more. Anybody showed me
- 42:49Speaker 3: on some money, I ain't.
- 42:50Speaker 2: I ain't.
- 42:50Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. They they probably working at
- 42:52Speaker 4: Chuggy Cheese somewhere.
- 42:53Speaker 6: So you just want wantall flowers man, Definitely most respect
- 42:58Speaker 6: for one of y'all.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Y'all too bro like yeah, yeah, yeah, but that's my camera. Hey,
- 43:04Speaker 1: Jabar Cash.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Yo talks always and he will never come on the show.
- 43:15Speaker 1: But listen, But wanting like that's by guy.
- 43:21Speaker 5: Jar has been in the business, so you know that's
- 43:24Speaker 5: my guy.
- 43:24Speaker 1: He knows, he knows I'm trolling him. However, I'm gonna
- 43:28Speaker 1: pick on.
- 43:28Speaker 3: It right now.
- 43:29Speaker 5: You over here, like, bro, you gotta have an insight.
- 43:31Speaker 7: I want to I want to say this right.
- 43:32Speaker 8: I watched one of the interviews I did with dealing
- 43:35Speaker 8: with the promoters and the owners and the DJs, and
- 43:37Speaker 8: I've seen the guys get up here and say things
- 43:40Speaker 8: like the game ain't the same, it's trash now promoters,
- 43:44Speaker 8: I don't know who they were, I don't.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Know you're talking about.
- 43:47Speaker 7: This was biddy night, was.
- 43:52Speaker 8: The night like down this trash it ain't the same.
- 43:54Speaker 8: Need to go back to this, need to go back
- 43:55Speaker 8: to that, need to go back to this. My thing
- 43:57Speaker 8: is y'all old niggas. Is the niggas that really slick
- 44:00Speaker 8: allowed the game to change. You get what I'm saying,
- 44:02Speaker 8: Like y'all seen something, y'all seen a gold mine. Y'all
- 44:05Speaker 8: seen this section and no more dance floors, and y'all
- 44:07Speaker 8: allowed it to happen and groom people like myself. Now myself,
- 44:11Speaker 8: I'm a section seller.
- 44:13Speaker 7: That's my following. I don't have a large general population people.
- 44:19Speaker 8: You know, a lot of people know me, but I
- 44:20Speaker 8: could sell twenty tables by myself anywhere from five hundred
- 44:23Speaker 8: to five thousand, like That's what I'm great at doing.
- 44:25Speaker 8: But if you ask me to bring people to the bar,
- 44:27Speaker 8: I can't do that. But I'm a great businessman, So
- 44:29Speaker 8: I'll hire somebody like my brother north side Bama that
- 44:31Speaker 8: could bring two three hundred people.
- 44:32Speaker 7: To the bar. Now now we're rocking, You know what
- 44:35Speaker 7: I'm saying.
- 44:35Speaker 8: I'm gonna sell all the table Bama gonna being to
- 44:37Speaker 8: people and we gotta sold out night we get into
- 44:38Speaker 8: the bad. But like how y'all old niggas gonna say
- 44:41Speaker 8: the parties is when y'all the one that showed us
- 44:43Speaker 8: the game, y'all allowed the game to transition. Y'all didn't
- 44:46Speaker 8: tell us like, oh, y'all shouldn't do this, you should
- 44:48Speaker 8: balance it out or do this or do that. Like
- 44:50Speaker 8: I didn't understand the where they were coming from was
- 44:54Speaker 8: saying that our parties now and this generation is trash
- 44:57Speaker 8: and it needs to get back to this.
- 44:59Speaker 7: But y'all allow to get to this.
- 45:02Speaker 5: I'm gonna give my two cents because my brother went
- 45:03Speaker 5: in the old niggas you're talking about.
- 45:05Speaker 7: Yeah, you know what I'm saying, respect statement, because I understand.
- 45:14Speaker 5: That also from an era that you're not from.
- 45:16Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 45:17Speaker 5: So they see ship differently, you know what I mean.
- 45:20Speaker 5: So like you got a couple of you got a
- 45:22Speaker 5: couple of like Catt that was like either even when
- 45:25Speaker 5: we were young, we were still with the ogs of
- 45:27Speaker 5: this industry, if you want to call it that. So
- 45:29Speaker 5: I understand, like you know what I'm saying, both sides
- 45:31Speaker 5: of the game, because the ship is different. I always
- 45:33Speaker 5: tell people like Yo, if you partied in the late nineties,
- 45:38Speaker 5: early two thousand to the teens, you don't have the
- 45:41Speaker 5: same experiences in mindsets as the the Yian's. That's that's
- 45:45Speaker 5: partying that I don't even socialize the same. But when
- 45:48Speaker 5: we came up, like we had AOL America online, do
- 45:55Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, Like ship was dolling up.
- 45:57Speaker 5: So if you was out having motion and doing events,
- 46:00Speaker 5: but you had to hand the hand with with flyers
- 46:02Speaker 5: and go get a number, like you had to know
- 46:04Speaker 5: how to go bag a chicken, get a phone number,
- 46:06Speaker 5: and may come want to come to the shit that
- 46:07Speaker 5: you was doing. So now they don't really have that,
- 46:09Speaker 5: you see what I'm saying. So it's like it's just
- 46:12Speaker 5: a different time as far as like people wanting to
- 46:14Speaker 5: go out and vibe the kicking. Now you do have
- 46:16Speaker 5: some older cast. They are outdated in the mindset in
- 46:19Speaker 5: which they think. But you're still in the same line
- 46:21Speaker 5: the work. You haven't elevated beyond nineteen ninety nine. And
- 46:26Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying, two thousand and three of
- 46:27Speaker 5: them were partying, So with that I agree with. However,
- 46:31Speaker 5: they come from an error where party was different and
- 46:34Speaker 5: this nostalgic. Why do you think everybody does R and
- 46:36Speaker 5: B parties because people want to it's nostalgic. They want
- 46:40Speaker 5: to remake the nineties era, the early two thousands era.
- 46:43Speaker 5: When I come to your shit on Wednesdays. Right, y'all
- 46:46Speaker 5: might play some new music, but the crowd get moving
- 46:48Speaker 5: when Jodason come on, when Johnny Gill come on.
- 46:51Speaker 7: You get what I'm saying.
- 46:52Speaker 5: So, ladies of R and B, R and B, you
- 46:55Speaker 5: know what I said, Shout out to the Cocks next Masterday,
- 47:01Speaker 5: Bluetooth that nostalgic field.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Listen.
- 47:04Speaker 5: I always tell people, you're gonna be older way longer
- 47:07Speaker 5: than you're gonna be younger. Hell, so some of that
- 47:08Speaker 5: ship is gonna always stick around and stay around the
- 47:11Speaker 5: songs out here. Now, Bro, we're not gonna give a
- 47:13Speaker 5: damn about that ship in five years. It's not gonna stick.
- 47:16Speaker 5: And the people that's listen to it now, guess what
- 47:17Speaker 5: they're gonna become. They're gonna become the old heads. You
- 47:19Speaker 5: know what they're gonna tell you.
- 47:20Speaker 2: I remember were listening.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Just keep waking up, wake it up.
- 47:29Speaker 7: I gotta crazy.
- 47:30Speaker 9: I just gotta just gotta realize they're getting older. And okay,
- 47:34Speaker 9: you know what I'm saying. The party is not the
- 47:36Speaker 9: same as its cap like, Bro, they're still outside. Just
- 47:39Speaker 9: like you said, your mindset don't want to be with them.
- 47:41Speaker 9: They don't want to subsize bro the era even I like,
- 47:44Speaker 9: I'm not your I think I'm around your age. But Bro,
- 47:47Speaker 9: these young niggas is out here in ski mask thinking
- 47:50Speaker 9: it's cool and not ever breaking walking up on me
- 47:53Speaker 9: like that, look at you. We don't do that like
- 47:58Speaker 9: so it's like, bro, just be your k and being
- 48:00Speaker 9: older like bro, the people still outside.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Yeah, old versus young.
- 48:07Speaker 5: I think me and you was talking.
- 48:08Speaker 8: I'm like.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Mine.
- 48:10Speaker 5: With our culture we put and there's no knock on you.
- 48:13Speaker 5: But I don't understand why our culture we put a
- 48:16Speaker 5: knock on getting old, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 48:17Speaker 5: when you think of just musically, right, when you think
- 48:21Speaker 5: of these old rock bands, Ruth Springsteink can come out
- 48:24Speaker 5: tomorrow and gonna sell this bitch out if he gonna
- 48:26Speaker 5: do it right. But if I come out and say
- 48:29Speaker 5: I want to do a worldwide tour like man, yeah,
- 48:33Speaker 5: why don't. Why don't we give the flowers to all?
- 48:36Speaker 5: It's starting to happen, you know what I'm saying. Like
- 48:38Speaker 5: a couple of years ago, I'm sure Nelly was doing
- 48:41Speaker 5: what he was doing, But now Nelly can still go
- 48:43Speaker 5: pack on and sell out of arena because we're starting
- 48:45Speaker 5: to get there, but it's like, but.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Keep it in mind, Nelly. Nelly is also country to
- 48:51Speaker 3: so Nelly is kind of like, you know what I'm saying.
- 48:54Speaker 3: Nelly is like an alien, just like Ludacris.
- 48:59Speaker 2: A little bit. But everything coming back right now, everything.
- 49:02Speaker 5: It never went nowheret yes, Yes, if Rolling Stones dropped
- 49:05Speaker 5: some ship, I don't even know if they still live,
- 49:07Speaker 5: but if I hope there is. But if Rolling Stone
- 49:09Speaker 5: dropped some ship, they gonna sell some ship out.
- 49:11Speaker 6: Look at our legacy artists now think about Geezy, Gucci
- 49:14Speaker 6: Man them, niggas.
- 49:16Speaker 4: Is still it's the way we treat But at the time.
- 49:19Speaker 5: People was acting like they was washed up because they
- 49:20Speaker 5: got older. Everybody ain't gonna die young, bro, But.
- 49:24Speaker 9: It's the mindset of us though. It's like it's the
- 49:26Speaker 9: same thing in the club. You don't got a section,
- 49:28Speaker 9: not even think he fell off or it's dirt. It's
- 49:30Speaker 9: a dirt liver like get out the club. But you're
- 49:32Speaker 9: touching thirty. It's like Nigga thirty is when niggas really touching.
- 49:35Speaker 5: That's but he's saying that now, But he's saying that
- 49:43Speaker 5: in reference to the why he is that's in the club.
- 49:46Speaker 5: That's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna get the hell on.
- 49:48Speaker 5: I don't want to party with him. I can't relate
- 49:50Speaker 5: to the same ship. You know what I'm saying, Like what,
- 49:52Speaker 5: I got a mortgage.
- 49:56Speaker 6: C before we get out of here. U start with
- 50:00Speaker 6: you Dream, tell them how to follow you, give me
- 50:02Speaker 6: some shout outs all that.

- 51:24Speaker 9: That's actually who I'm going to business with. Some of
- 51:25Speaker 9: the old gms from over there were partnered on that.
- 51:29Speaker 9: Far as business partners got shot out, it's a brand

- 51:41Speaker 9: actually the young promoters that came from under you that

- 52:23Speaker 2: got supporting supportations.
- 52:24Speaker 7: Yeah, they went crazy.
- 52:27Speaker 2: From five.
- 52:28Speaker 4: Ain't a bit of to loon go to.
- 52:33Speaker 5: And I know we're wrapping up, but I want to
- 52:34Speaker 5: make this point and the beautiful thing about what we
- 52:36Speaker 5: deem as promoters. Look at all the spots that were
- 52:39Speaker 5: shotting out, mostly all of them came from being promoted
- 52:43Speaker 5: Cream Loud, come on, manless Moland.
- 52:47Speaker 4: You know that was six rotations.
- 52:50Speaker 5: It's hungry a f You know what I'm saying is
- 52:52Speaker 5: is Saut's m C k Yo like me, I met
- 52:56Speaker 5: lucky in them from doing stuff with j Bon. So
- 52:58Speaker 5: some of these premier black own establishments, you know the
- 53:01Speaker 5: owners came from being promoted. You know what I'm saying.
- 53:04Speaker 5: Everybody doing the bigger.
- 53:06Speaker 9: Curate brout stop opening up spots with the grass wall.
- 53:09Speaker 9: That's why I like to like you study it. And
- 53:11Speaker 9: it's literally like they went to Mexico and had the
- 53:14Speaker 9: time and they brought it back and everybody's not It
- 53:16Speaker 9: looks different broad curators.
- 53:18Speaker 4: You get.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Episode curator.
- 53:27Speaker 7: Curators app.
- 53:29Speaker 4: And I noticed that no hookah, but y'all at least
- 53:31Speaker 4: ask outside.
- 53:40Speaker 7: A lot of people don't.
- 53:43Speaker 4: Is a lot.
- 53:46Speaker 7: That's a lot for my first restant level, that's a lot.
- 53:49Speaker 8: I did amazing without hookah. People used to coming back
- 53:51Speaker 8: with the air was cleaner, it was more fresher, you
- 53:54Speaker 8: know what I mean.
- 53:54Speaker 7: People don't want to come in there that.
- 53:58Speaker 4: They're smoking.
- 53:59Speaker 1: That full ship, the stud that all alert
- 54:05Speaker 5: MH.
