- 0:21Speaker 1: Wow. And and you know why I say it like that.
- 0:26Speaker 2: What makes it amazing is because it's been in spite
- 0:28Speaker 2: of myself.
- 0:31Speaker 1: I mean, you know what I mean by that. I
- 0:33Speaker 1: mean I mean that he's been good to me.
- 0:37Speaker 2: In spite of all the craziness I've done, all the
- 0:41Speaker 2: foolishness I've gotten myself involved with, and not only got,
- 0:45Speaker 2: but knowingly got myself involved with, all of the stupid
- 0:51Speaker 2: decisions I've made. Put all that to the side, and
- 0:57Speaker 2: he's still been good to me. Bring it all in,
- 1:00Speaker 2: it on the plate, and he's still being good to me.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:03Speaker 2: That's amazing, man. And I'm sure there's a lot of
- 1:05Speaker 2: people that can say the exact same thing. I mean,
- 1:08Speaker 2: come on, man, I got you, ain't famous, I got
- 1:12Speaker 2: ain't nobody, got no microphone in your face, I got nobody,
- 1:14Speaker 2: ain't got no spotlight on you. I got nobody, ain't
- 1:16Speaker 2: got no camera in your face. I got nobody probably
- 1:18Speaker 2: ain't nobody blogging about you. But let me tell you something.
- 1:22Speaker 2: If you break it down and be real about it,
- 1:24Speaker 2: Oh you done done something outside the box. You done
- 1:28Speaker 2: done something, ladies included, you've done something out the box.
- 1:30Speaker 2: You woke up and went what did I do that for?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:35Speaker 2: We've all done it. So with all that said and done,
- 1:40Speaker 2: God still loves you, man, God still loves you, still
- 1:43Speaker 2: wants the best for you, still considers you his child,
- 1:47Speaker 2: and is willing it's willing man to show you your future.
- 1:52Speaker 2: He is willing to show you your life. He is
- 1:55Speaker 2: willing to let you take a peek at the blueprint.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:59Speaker 2: That's an amazing God right there. Because I know I
- 2:03Speaker 2: couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I'm glad it's him,
- 2:06Speaker 2: you know. Today Man, I want to encourage brothers out there.
- 2:09Speaker 2: And when I say brothers, I'm talking to everybody that's
- 2:12Speaker 2: of the male species. I don't care about your color,
- 2:14Speaker 2: I really really don't. I don't even have time for
- 2:17Speaker 2: that in my day. A matter of fact, Sometimes when
- 2:20Speaker 2: you get to discuss and race, I just get tired
- 2:22Speaker 2: of it. Sometimes I just wish, you know, some days
- 2:25Speaker 2: I just want to wake up just do me. You know,
- 2:28Speaker 2: I got what the skin tone is. I got that.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But I just want to wake up some days and
- 2:33Speaker 2: just going by my business and do me. I don't
- 2:35Speaker 2: want to have to deal with it somebody. I get
- 2:37Speaker 2: tired of talking about the issues. Ain't gonna make them
- 2:39Speaker 2: go away, But sometimes I get tired. So to day,
- 2:41Speaker 2: I'm talking to brothers, all the brothers of the male species.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I'm talking about men today. Man, if you ain't doing
- 2:50Speaker 2: it all, if you're feeling empty, man, start today completing
- 2:53Speaker 2: your process and your journey.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And you know what I'm.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Saying by that, if there's a part of you just
- 2:59Speaker 2: miss and as a man, and now, man, i'm talking
- 3:04Speaker 2: to you. So you know some ladies listening, but you
- 3:06Speaker 2: know what I'm talking about. It's some part of you
- 3:09Speaker 2: that's missing as a man. If you ain't really been
- 3:13Speaker 2: in touch with your kids like you're supposed to now
- 3:15Speaker 2: for whatever the reason is. And please know, I do
- 3:19Speaker 2: understand how sometimes women can use children as pawns. It
- 3:25Speaker 2: happens all the time. I've been through it. I've been
- 3:28Speaker 2: through it, man, I know what it feels like, man
- 3:31Speaker 2: to wanna do something, but because you ain't got this
- 3:34Speaker 2: or you ain't doing this, then I ain't gonna let
- 3:36Speaker 2: you have this. You got to fight through, fellas. You
- 3:40Speaker 2: got to fight through. You got to fulfill your end
- 3:45Speaker 2: of the deal. And I got how difficult they making it.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I got how man, it's gonna come with some drama,
- 3:51Speaker 2: but you gotta fight through it, because man, we need
- 3:54Speaker 2: fathers to be fathers. That's really what we need. If
- 3:58Speaker 2: you're a man out there and you are a father
- 4:00Speaker 2: of a child, we need you do your job. We
- 4:04Speaker 2: I'm talking about our community, our situation, us as a people,
- 4:10Speaker 2: all of us.
- 4:11Speaker 1: We need you to be a father. Period.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Hey man, I ain't coming down on you. I'm just
- 4:19Speaker 2: your boy. I'm your man. And I've been in the
- 4:22Speaker 2: same predicament, in the same hole myself, where I couldn't
- 4:26Speaker 2: get to them, where they were used as pawns, where
- 4:29Speaker 2: they were told things about me that wasn't even true.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I've been through it. You can't see them, you don't
- 4:36Speaker 2: come up, okay, Okay, I got all that. You ain't
- 4:38Speaker 2: sent this. You ain't okay, Hey, got all that. If
- 4:42Speaker 2: you can call them sometimes, tell them you thinking about them,
- 4:47Speaker 2: tell them you love them. If you can get a
- 4:49Speaker 2: letter to them, if you can get a message to
- 4:52Speaker 2: your children through one of your relatives. Start the process today.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Be a father. It's your job now. Because you ignoring him,
- 5:03Speaker 2: or you acting like they ain't over there, or you
- 5:05Speaker 2: toe backed them out of your mind.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Because the situation got too difficult.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I got that. I got that. But you got to
- 5:12Speaker 2: step up and be fathers. You got to write a letter.
- 5:15Speaker 2: You gotta send the money if she talking about it. If
- 5:18Speaker 2: you don't send all the money, you ain't gonna see her.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Send what you got she. If taking it over there
- 5:22Speaker 2: is too much drama, send it through a relative, Give
- 5:25Speaker 2: it to a mama, Give it to a sister, ask
- 5:27Speaker 2: her to take it over there and do something for
- 5:29Speaker 2: the baby.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Because okay, okay, you can't deal with the drama.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I got that, And I know it's much to pay
- 5:35Speaker 2: when you have to deal with that, because I clearly
- 5:38Speaker 2: I know hell have no fury like a woman's going
- 5:41Speaker 2: Please know. I know that, Please know. And that's a
- 5:44Speaker 2: real statement. That ain't no saying. Steve got that's the truth.
- 5:49Speaker 2: But do what you gotta do. Sometimes you have to apologize.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Sometimes an apology goes a long way to your children.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Just say, look, because I've made this apology before. Hey, man, look,
- 6:04Speaker 2: I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. I was out
- 6:07Speaker 2: grinding and hustling, and I wasn't paying attention to you,
- 6:11Speaker 2: and I should have been.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And I apologize.
- 6:14Speaker 2: And I imagine, man, there's days where you was telling
- 6:16Speaker 2: people I was your father up at the school and
- 6:18Speaker 2: they wasn't believing you. I apologize for sending you through that.
- 6:22Speaker 2: But now, man, I tell you what. I made some mistakes,
- 6:26Speaker 2: and I got it together. I want me and you
- 6:28Speaker 2: to move forward as father and son. I want me
- 6:31Speaker 2: and you to move forward as father and daughter. I
- 6:34Speaker 2: want to be in your life now. I ain't got
- 6:36Speaker 2: a lot, but guess what, I know a lot, because
- 6:39Speaker 2: if you a man and you a father, please know
- 6:41Speaker 2: you know something that child don't know. You have information,
- 6:44Speaker 2: you have experience. That's all they need sometimes to have
- 6:48Speaker 2: somebody to talk to. That daughter yours just needs to
- 6:51Speaker 2: know from her daddy. How should a man treat me?
- 6:55Speaker 1: Dad?
- 6:56Speaker 2: What should I look for in a man? See, they'll
- 6:59Speaker 2: take that inform from you because they know it's coming
- 7:02Speaker 2: from the right place. And then you know that your
- 7:05Speaker 2: son needs you because you know how difficult it is
- 7:08Speaker 2: if you're trying to be a man without your daddy.
- 7:11Speaker 2: You already know how funky that is, right there. So
- 7:15Speaker 2: come on, man and meet your mistakes and move forward.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Call your kids, write a letter, get a phone number
- 7:21Speaker 2: on them, send a text, drop a message, send a
- 7:24Speaker 2: note up to the school.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Do something. Man.
- 7:28Speaker 2: If those of us that are fathers would just be fathers,
- 7:33Speaker 2: I could shut the minering camp down.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Now.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I will say I apologize because I don't want you
- 7:40Speaker 2: to think I'm coming down on you. But I've been
- 7:42Speaker 2: through this myself. I ain't really coming down. I'm just
- 7:45Speaker 2: reminding you. This is our job. These are our children,
- 7:49Speaker 2: this is our responsibility. We are men. There is no excuses.
- 7:54Speaker 2: You don't get you don't get. Cut a brake on
- 7:56Speaker 2: that one.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Sorry to the Steve Harvey Morning Show
